- 0:06Speaker 1: It's time for am I the problem?
- 0:08Speaker 2: Where you send us your side of the story and
- 0:10Speaker 2: we help you figure out if you're right or are
- 0:14Speaker 2: you the problem?
- 0:15Speaker 3: Today we have Sunny who wrote into us good morning,
- 0:19Speaker 3: gave an Angie. I need your help making a decision,
- 0:22Speaker 3: and it all depends on if I'm the problem.
- 0:24Speaker 4: A cool name, by the way, I know I like
- 0:26Speaker 4: that Soony. I like that.
- 0:28Speaker 3: My sister is coming to visit next weekend and she
- 0:31Speaker 3: wants me to pick her up from the airport. As
- 0:33Speaker 3: far as airports are concerned, I know Hector is an
- 0:36Speaker 3: easier airport to pick up from, but it's far enough
- 0:39Speaker 3: away from me that I just don't want to drive
- 0:42Speaker 3: out there to grab her. I offered to send an
- 0:44Speaker 3: Uber for her and pay for it, but she doesn't
- 0:47Speaker 3: love taking ubers in case the driver is chatty. I
- 0:51Speaker 3: told her I can set the preference on the app
- 0:53Speaker 3: for the driver to be quiet, but she says, I'm
- 0:56Speaker 3: being ridiculous for not just getting in the car and
- 0:59Speaker 3: driving the thirty minutes to pick her up. I think
- 1:02Speaker 3: it's a waste of my time when she can just
- 1:04Speaker 3: take the Uber. Am I the problem? Should I just
- 1:08Speaker 3: pick her up?
- 1:10Speaker 4: Gabe? What I love is that I'll read one.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Of these emails and then you'll give me this little
- 1:17Speaker 3: smirk before I know you're going to deliver some advice,
- 1:22Speaker 3: some opinion that I'm probably not gonna agree with.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Wow, this sounds like the most sibling argument of all time.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I don't want to come get you. I don't want
- 1:34Speaker 1: to take the uber. My uber driver might talk to me.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Oh no, grow up, Okay, just go pick up your
- 1:43Speaker 1: sister for crying.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Oh so you're on Sunnie's side, No go get her? Yeah?
- 1:49Speaker 4: Oh no, not Sunny side. You're on the sisters side.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Yes, go pick up your sister. It's thirty minutes. It's
- 1:54Speaker 2: not like it's forty five to an hour. I don't know, man,
- 1:59Speaker 2: go get your sister.
- 2:01Speaker 3: I am team Sunny on this one.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Like, I don't want to have to take time out
- 2:07Speaker 4: of my day.
- 2:07Speaker 3: That's thirty minutes out of my day where I could
- 2:10Speaker 3: be getting things done before you get here.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I want you to name me four things you would
- 2:18Speaker 2: get done instead of going to pick up your sisters. Okay,
- 2:21Speaker 2: and I'm sitting their house in Oreos doesn't count, you know.
- 2:26Speaker 4: It's so rude.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Game.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I do be housing Oreos.
- 2:30Speaker 3: No, I would get the dishes done and I would
- 2:33Speaker 3: do that. You know that tidy up thing you do
- 2:35Speaker 3: when someone's on their way over to your house and
- 2:37Speaker 3: then you get your house cleaner than it's ever been. Yeah,
- 2:39Speaker 3: I would do that. I would have her text me
- 2:42Speaker 3: when she gets in the uber, and then I'd be
- 2:44Speaker 3: an overdrive making sure that the house is tidy for
- 2:47Speaker 3: my sister. I mean, I'm team Sonny on this one.
- 2:50Speaker 4: What do you think? Let us know? Seven oh one
- 2:52Speaker 4: two eight oho one nine eight seven.
- 2:54Speaker 3: So should Soony just suck it up and drive the
- 2:56Speaker 3: thirty minutes to pick up her sister from the airport,
- 2:59Speaker 3: or should her sister just jump in an uber?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Both are both of these are ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.
- 3:07Speaker 3: You know what?
- 3:07Speaker 1: Neither of you do it?
- 3:09Speaker 2: Either just sit at Hector Airport and don't get picked up,
- 3:13Speaker 2: or just leave your sister at the airport and don't
- 3:15Speaker 2: go get her. I think that's the final final terms, right, No,
- 3:24Speaker 2: the problem soon.
- 3:26Speaker 3: He wrote in wanting to know if she is the problem.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Her sister is flying in to visit and Sunny does
- 3:34Speaker 3: not want to pick her up from the airport. She
- 3:36Speaker 3: just wants to send an uber for her for her
- 3:39Speaker 3: that she's offered to pay for. But her sister doesn't
- 3:42Speaker 3: like riding in the uber, she doesn't like taking the
- 3:44Speaker 3: chance of the driver's chatty, and she just wants her
- 3:46Speaker 3: sister to pick her up. So is Sunnie the problem
- 3:50Speaker 3: for not wanting to drive thirty minutes to Hector International
- 3:54Speaker 3: Airport to pick up her sister.
- 3:56Speaker 1: This makes no sense to me.
- 3:58Speaker 2: So you you, you and your sister are good enough
- 4:00Speaker 2: like I don't know friends, or you're close enough yeah
- 4:03Speaker 2: to where she'll fly to come see you, But you're
- 4:07Speaker 2: not quite close enough where you go pick each other
- 4:09Speaker 2: up from the airport.
- 4:10Speaker 4: What sense does that?
- 4:11Speaker 3: Well that Ashley texted us and she said that her
- 4:16Speaker 3: sister flew all the way here she needs to go
- 4:19Speaker 3: pick her up.
- 4:20Speaker 4: So she's on that same opinion that you have, Gabe.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean what, Sunni, do you live in South
- 4:26Speaker 2: Fargo and you gotta do the old thirty minute drive
- 4:28Speaker 2: to Hector?
- 4:29Speaker 4: You know what, I live in South farka far be. No,
- 4:32Speaker 4: it's like twenty cents. Yet she's thirty minutes away. She
- 4:37Speaker 4: doesn't want to drive.
- 4:38Speaker 3: We had somebody else text in and say I don't
- 4:40Speaker 3: blame her for not wanting to drive the thirty minutes,
- 4:43Speaker 3: especially if she's willing to pay for the uber hashtag.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Team Sonny, I mean, I think both of these takes
- 4:50Speaker 2: are a bit ridiculous. What do you mean you can't
- 4:53Speaker 2: ride in an uber because they're gonna talk to you?
- 4:56Speaker 1: Put headphones on, ignore it.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Sometimes that doesn't stop uber drivers.
- 5:01Speaker 3: What the headphone?
- 5:02Speaker 4: Who cares?
- 5:03Speaker 2: Just put the headphones on? Ignorm Hi, but don't pick
- 5:05Speaker 2: up your sister. This is ridiculous. If I a father
- 5:08Speaker 2: who's disappointed in his two daughters, here, what is going on?
- 5:13Speaker 3: I feel like my final word on this is Sony,
- 5:18Speaker 3: as much as I agree with you that it's not
- 5:20Speaker 3: a big deal, and you're even offering to pay for
- 5:24Speaker 3: the uber, like you don't want to start the trip
- 5:26Speaker 3: on a bad foot. Yeah you know, so just she
- 5:30Speaker 3: did fly all the way there, yeah or here?
- 5:33Speaker 4: So yeah, go pick your sister up and don't forget.
- 5:36Speaker 2: You can also message us anytime you want with am
- 5:40Speaker 2: I the problem? Go to Big ninety eight point seven
- 5:42Speaker 2: dot com. We use this as like a wonderful way
- 5:45Speaker 2: to Dottalie a maybe get some great advice from Angie
- 5:48Speaker 2: or myself. But people in the FM area. So if
- 5:51Speaker 2: there's ever some like FM area specific question all right
- 5:55Speaker 2: that you would have, there's a hopefully plenty of people
- 5:58Speaker 2: willing to chime in and help you out.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Yeah, have to head to Big nine eight seven dot com,
- 6:01Speaker 3: click the on air tab and the submission form is
- 6:04Speaker 3: right there if you want to find out whether or
- 6:07Speaker 3: not you are the problem. And again, if you have
- 6:14Speaker 3: a little victory you want to share with us, share
- 6:16Speaker 3: it with us. Seven oh one two eight oh one
- 6:18Speaker 3: nine eight seven. We'd love to hear from you, Gabe. Sorry,
- 6:22Speaker 3: I was dying over here. My little victory is that
- 6:27Speaker 3: there's a subscription service I've been trying to cancel for
- 6:32Speaker 3: over a year, Gabe, Okay, over a year or maybe
- 6:36Speaker 3: right under a year. Whatever the point is, I finally
- 6:41Speaker 3: have ended the subscription. It was this like meal planning
- 6:44Speaker 3: thing that I tried to do a year ago, and
- 6:48Speaker 3: I tried to unsubscribe and they kept saying, no, you
- 6:51Speaker 3: didn't unsubscribe, and I'm like, yes, I did.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I hate unsubscribing the app.
- 6:55Speaker 3: You made me talk to a customer service person I
- 6:57Speaker 3: unsubscribed and they're like, too bad, charge and they kept yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 3: they kept charging me and charging me to the point
- 7:03Speaker 3: where I canceled my debit card and then ordered a
- 7:06Speaker 3: new one just so they physically couldn't access my money anymore.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Because Bro, I canceled this.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You went a roundabout way to care.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Guess I had to.
- 7:16Speaker 3: They were not like I want to report them to
- 7:18Speaker 3: the Better Business Bureau. I was upset, And finally yesterday
- 7:22Speaker 3: I got the email that said, your your G Plans,
- 7:26Speaker 3: your G Meal Plans subscription has ended just because it
- 7:30Speaker 3: finally took the entire year and so now your account
- 7:34Speaker 3: will no longer have it's in blah blah blah whatever.
- 7:36Speaker 3: So now officially the subscription is over and I never
- 7:42Speaker 3: have to think about it ever again.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Hey, that's wonderful news. Thank you.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I'm very happy for that.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I know that I'm not the only one who deals
- 7:48Speaker 3: with subscription services where they just will not cancel it
- 7:51Speaker 3: even though you canceled it.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I have a seventy something year old father who would
- 7:56Speaker 2: he would say, like, oh, there's you know, there should
- 7:57Speaker 2: be something illegal about that, being like hard to cancel
- 8:00Speaker 2: a subscription or to like get out of it.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah, after I.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Feel like it's something that's been taken to like Congress
- 8:07Speaker 3: or something before about how subscription services need to stop
- 8:10Speaker 3: making it impossible to do.
- 8:12Speaker 2: It should be just as easy to sign up, or
- 8:14Speaker 2: it should just be it should be just as easy
- 8:16Speaker 2: to cancel, yes, as it is to sign up.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Yeah, good dance. So that's my little victory, Gabe, what's yours?
- 8:23Speaker 2: You know what my little victory is? This is really
- 8:25Speaker 2: more for tomorrow. But I'm just happy that I've almost
- 8:28Speaker 2: made it, well, pretty much made it to two years.
- 8:31Speaker 2: It will be my dog's second birthday tomorrow, so my
- 8:36Speaker 2: wife and I have successfully kept her alive for almost
- 8:42Speaker 2: two years, which I'm very happy and proud of.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Are you having like a little doggy birthday party?
- 8:47Speaker 1: She'll get like a cake?
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm sure some dumb toy that'll be ripped
- 8:51Speaker 2: up in five seconds. But she loves it, that's right.
- 8:54Speaker 2: You know, you only get one birthday a year. Yeah,
- 8:56Speaker 2: and I don't even know if she knows it's her birthday.
- 8:59Speaker 3: It's more for us, right, Well, you make her be aware,
- 9:01Speaker 3: all right, that's all right.
- 9:03Speaker 2: So yeah, we're just happy about that. You know, she
- 9:06Speaker 2: successfully made it to two years old. It's kind of
- 9:09Speaker 2: no longer really a puppy.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Well, that's what I was going to ask, what's the
- 9:12Speaker 3: because I feel like newlyweds you're no longer newlyweds when
- 9:15Speaker 3: you hit the two year mark, and so for dogs,
- 9:17Speaker 3: you're no longer a puppy once you hit the two
- 9:19Speaker 3: year marks.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it kind of depends on like what type of
- 9:22Speaker 2: dog and their size and things like that. Like small
- 9:25Speaker 2: dogs tend to reach maturity a little bit faster than
- 9:28Speaker 2: like bigger dogs. With you're known, it'd probably would be
- 9:30Speaker 2: classified as a bigger dog. But usually just about every
- 9:33Speaker 2: single dog on earth is kind of done growing by
- 9:35Speaker 2: the time they're too, oh well.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Good for you.
- 9:38Speaker 3: When Nona, I went to a wedding a couple of
- 9:46Speaker 3: weeks ago, right, Gabe, I was a bridesmaid in this
- 9:50Speaker 3: wedding if you recalled, because you were so lonely here
- 9:53Speaker 3: without me. But this this wedding set the stage possibly
- 10:00Speaker 3: were another couple's divorce. So my friend who got married,
- 10:04Speaker 3: she got back from her honeymoon and she texted me
- 10:07Speaker 3: yesterday to thank me for like being part of the
- 10:09Speaker 3: wedding whatever, and then she had some tea to spill.
- 10:12Speaker 3: So there was another bridesmaid in the party who had
- 10:16Speaker 3: a just a plus one. He wasn't a groomsman, but
- 10:18Speaker 3: it was her husband. And so Mikey, who was my
- 10:22Speaker 3: plus one but not a groomsman, he was hanging out
- 10:25Speaker 3: with the other plus ones and.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah you kind together when you yeah, yeah.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Because you're just waiting for your bridesmaid, girlfriend, your wife
- 10:32Speaker 3: to do what she's got to do. Well at one
- 10:35Speaker 3: point during the reception, I guess because then I, like,
- 10:39Speaker 3: you know, we finished doing our thing, and then I
- 10:41Speaker 3: went off to hang out with my people whatever. So
- 10:44Speaker 3: I didn't see this happen. So my girls filled me in.
- 10:48Speaker 3: So this bridesmaid and her husband got into a huge
- 10:52Speaker 3: fight towards the end of the reception, and it's because
- 10:56Speaker 3: this was an open bar wedding, and I guess she
- 10:59Speaker 3: was really really enjoying that open bar. And so her
- 11:03Speaker 3: husband said, Okay, I think it's time for us to go,
- 11:06Speaker 3: like let's go back to the hotel.
- 11:08Speaker 4: And it was.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Getting close to the wedding ending anyway, the reception ending. Anyway,
- 11:13Speaker 3: she did not want to leave. She was like, I'm
- 11:15Speaker 3: not going. She was like Leonardo DiCaprio and Wolf of Wall.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Street, I'm not going. And so he was really upset.
- 11:24Speaker 3: But instead of staying with her at the reception he left,
- 11:28Speaker 3: mind you, he drove there, and so someone had to
- 11:32Speaker 3: give her I don't know who she got a ride
- 11:33Speaker 3: back to the hotel with, but it wasn't her husband,
- 11:38Speaker 3: maybe I don't know, someone in the wedding with somebody
- 11:40Speaker 3: I don't know. But she made it back to the hotel,
- 11:42Speaker 3: and then everyone assumed like, Okay, she's gonna go back
- 11:45Speaker 3: to her hotel room. She and her husband are maybe
- 11:47Speaker 3: gonna fight, but they'll pass out and go to sleep.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Uh Ah. She stayed up later in someone else's hotel
- 11:54Speaker 3: room who was having kind of like a get together
- 11:56Speaker 3: the after party, and so she just never went back
- 12:00Speaker 3: to her room ever, and so her husband was really mad.
- 12:05Speaker 4: And I guess they're back.
- 12:07Speaker 3: You know, home together since the wedding, but they are
- 12:10Speaker 3: not speaking.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Both of those scenarios stink to be in if you
- 12:14Speaker 2: are the person who maybe is a little more sober
- 12:17Speaker 2: than the person having fun, and it's kind of towards
- 12:20Speaker 2: that point you're like all right, like enough is enough,
- 12:22Speaker 2: Like it's time to go. You're sloppy, drunk. I don't
- 12:25Speaker 2: want to deal with this. I can understand that that stinks. Yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 2: But also if you're this girl is a bridesmaid. Yeah,
- 12:34Speaker 2: see one of the handful of times a year you
- 12:36Speaker 2: get to be with your friends. It's like a cut
- 12:39Speaker 2: the evening short. I totally understand. Hey, I'm taking advantage
- 12:42Speaker 2: of being with my friends in this moment. Yes, I
- 12:45Speaker 2: see those situations, stink.
- 12:47Speaker 3: I see both sides. But what I think is wild
- 12:50Speaker 3: is that they are, you know, back home in the
- 12:52Speaker 3: same household, and they are not speaking.
- 12:55Speaker 4: This wedding was two.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Weeks ago, Gabe, right, I'm really concerned. And then I think, oh,
- 13:00Speaker 3: is this a sign of something deeper, like.
- 13:03Speaker 2: The best day of someone else's life was the day
- 13:06Speaker 2: that your marriage fell apart.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Yes, have you ever seen something like a huge fight
- 13:12Speaker 3: at a wedding?
- 13:12Speaker 2: No, I've been very lucky and I've only ever seen
- 13:15Speaker 2: like had fun. I'm not saying there haven't been fights,
- 13:19Speaker 2: you know, or bridesmaid's drama or whatever, but I personally
- 13:22Speaker 2: have never been involved with like a gosh, dang it,
- 13:25Speaker 2: you know, like a wedding.
- 13:26Speaker 3: No, I want some juicy I want some juicy drama.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Seven one eight on one, nine eighty seven. If you've
- 13:31Speaker 3: ever seen a fight at a wedding, what was it?
- 13:34Speaker 3: How did it affect the day?
- 13:35Speaker 1: I would guess most of them too.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Like anytime there's an open bar like that can always
- 13:40Speaker 2: happen at just about any get together.
- 13:42Speaker 3: You know, yeah, you know what I have been in
- 13:45Speaker 3: my youth. I was the over served one at the
- 13:47Speaker 3: open bar, making my guy miser a ball.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Garrett, we have Garrett on phone. Garrett, what about you man?
- 13:53Speaker 2: You ever seen a fight at a wedding?
- 13:55Speaker 5: My cousin found out that my other cousin cheated on
- 13:58Speaker 5: his wife, and he happened to find out at my wedding.
- 14:02Speaker 5: This of course caused a huge fight and both escort
- 14:05Speaker 5: it out, put into separate cabs, and then sent home.
- 14:07Speaker 2: My eyebrows just shot through my receiving hairlines. Wow, Chelsea,
- 14:15Speaker 2: what about you?
- 14:16Speaker 6: At my cousin's wedding, the groove showed up uninvited, The
- 14:20Speaker 6: bride sister called her out in the toes, chaos erupted,
- 14:24Speaker 6: and have to guess left before the cake.
- 14:26Speaker 2: I couldn't think of a more and this I don't
- 14:30Speaker 2: use this term a lot. I could not think of
- 14:31Speaker 2: a more beta move. Ever, that as shows up to
- 14:35Speaker 2: bro stand on your own two feet and go continue
- 14:38Speaker 2: on with your life.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Dude, what are you?
- 14:40Speaker 3: That is so funny. Also, I can't imagine a world
- 14:43Speaker 3: where I leave before the cake is served.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Earliest memories. I was doing a little bit of research
- 14:52Speaker 2: on this, Angie.
- 14:54Speaker 4: I love the rabbit holes you go down gate. I
- 14:56Speaker 4: really do.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Earliest memories.
- 14:59Speaker 2: They typically emerge between the ages of two and a
- 15:03Speaker 2: half and four years old. Now, most adults can't recall
- 15:07Speaker 2: events before the age of three. Some individuals may have
- 15:12Speaker 2: isolated memories from as early as the age of two.
- 15:17Speaker 2: And I wanted to know, what is the oldest memory
- 15:21Speaker 2: that you can recall?
- 15:23Speaker 3: You know what it's actually and it's in such fragments,
- 15:28Speaker 3: But it's my parents' wedding. They did it at the courthouse,
- 15:33Speaker 3: and I was because my mom was pregnant with my
- 15:36Speaker 3: little brother. Sure, and we're three years and three days apart,
- 15:40Speaker 3: so she was pregnant with my little brother and my
- 15:43Speaker 3: parents were getting married so the insurance would cover his birth.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Very romantic, and I had to love if I've ever
- 15:50Speaker 3: heard it, I had to.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Go with them.
- 15:52Speaker 3: My two older siblings were in school and they're like,
- 15:54Speaker 3: I guess we have this toddler with us. And what
- 15:56Speaker 3: I remember is that I remember feeling like Braddy like,
- 16:01Speaker 3: and I remember I was given a yellow piece of
- 16:04Speaker 3: paper to hold on to. Okay, and then my idea
- 16:08Speaker 3: when my parents were standing there and I guess they
- 16:11Speaker 3: got married. I've talked to my mom about this and
- 16:13Speaker 3: she was like, oh my gosh, we had to give
- 16:15Speaker 3: you something to play with because you would not shut up.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Oh you were screaming and crying.
- 16:19Speaker 3: We were trying to get married, so we just handed
- 16:21Speaker 3: you some piece of paper so that you could be distracted.
- 16:25Speaker 3: And that's my earliest memory, disrupting my mom and dad's wedding.
- 16:31Speaker 1: So about how old were you then? Two and a
- 16:33Speaker 1: half ish three?
- 16:34Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 16:34Speaker 4: Two and a half.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:36Speaker 4: My mom was pregnant with my brother yet.
- 16:38Speaker 2: That's so interesting because I would have been about two
- 16:41Speaker 2: and a half too. For the earliest memory that I
- 16:43Speaker 2: can recall, what's yours? It was my younger sister's first steps,
- 16:50Speaker 2: or at least the first ones.
- 16:51Speaker 4: That I witnessed, right.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I was sitting in our old house on Xenia
- 16:57Speaker 2: in Crystal and I was I can't remember if I
- 17:00Speaker 2: was snacking on something or like playing with this dinosaur
- 17:03Speaker 2: toy that I liked.
- 17:04Speaker 4: And maybe you're snacking on the dinosaur.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Cheing away on some plastic, which would explain a lot
- 17:09Speaker 2: at thirty four. But my younger sister, we were like
- 17:13Speaker 2: trying to help teach her how to walk and get
- 17:14Speaker 2: her to walk. And I remember her getting up and
- 17:18Speaker 2: I was sitting right in front of our couch and
- 17:20Speaker 2: she like, I had my arms outstretched, and she walked
- 17:23Speaker 2: to me. And that was the first time, or one
- 17:26Speaker 2: of the first handful of times that she had walked.
- 17:30Speaker 2: So your earliest my earliest memories my younger sister walking.
- 17:35Speaker 4: That's so sweet, what a great memory.
- 17:39Speaker 3: My second earliest memory is after my brother was born
- 17:43Speaker 3: and I was wearing my party dress because I had
- 17:45Speaker 3: just turned three a few days prior, and I told
- 17:48Speaker 3: my mom to put him back.
- 17:53Speaker 2: We want a different one, or we don't want I
- 17:55Speaker 2: want one at all. What is your earliest memory? Seven
- 17:59Speaker 2: oh one two eight zero nine eight seven. If you
- 18:02Speaker 2: can do us one thing, just let us know about
- 18:04Speaker 2: how old you were, Yeah, because I want to see
- 18:06Speaker 2: how true. And for Angie and I these stats seem
- 18:09Speaker 2: to be true. I was about two and a half
- 18:10Speaker 2: three years old.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:11Speaker 2: For my sister's first steps us for Stan, he said,
- 18:15Speaker 2: sipping and slipping, excuse me, slipping and falling on the
- 18:19Speaker 2: ice while holding two long neck beer bottles full of
- 18:23Speaker 2: homemade root beer. The bottle in my left hand went
- 18:26Speaker 2: into this crystallized snow bank, and the one in my
- 18:28Speaker 2: right hand hit the ice next to my face. I
- 18:30Speaker 2: heard a pop. When I pushed myself up, I saw
- 18:33Speaker 2: the jagged edge of a broken bottle just below the neck.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Then I saw my T shirt was full of blood.
- 18:39Speaker 2: I let out a death curdling scream and ran for home, basically,
- 18:44Speaker 2: And it's just kind of amazing that little details you
- 18:46Speaker 2: remember in these memories.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Well, I feel like that one's traumatic, like it involves blood.
- 18:52Speaker 3: So I feel like when it's you know what, I
- 18:54Speaker 3: feel like it goes either way. Traumatic enough that it
- 18:56Speaker 3: left an impression, but not so traumatic that you block
- 18:59Speaker 3: it out.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Yes, Stan never played hockey again.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Clear Now, Halloween is not for a couple of months,
- 19:12Speaker 2: But yesterday at my house, my wife was already talking
- 19:15Speaker 2: about what Halloween costumes were getting, what we are ordering,
- 19:18Speaker 2: what decore we're gonna have. As I'm sitting here going,
- 19:22Speaker 2: you know, Halloween is not for it forever. But the
- 19:25Speaker 2: discussion of fears took place and we want to know,
- 19:29Speaker 2: do you have like a phobia of something and maybe
- 19:33Speaker 2: how does it affect your life? Seven oh one two
- 19:36Speaker 2: eight zero seven. Now, it doesn't affect my life a
- 19:42Speaker 2: ton because I don't run into these all that often
- 19:45Speaker 2: actually basically never.
- 19:47Speaker 1: But I am not a snakes guy.
- 19:50Speaker 6: Do not.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Like snakes, not a fan at all.
- 19:54Speaker 2: We've had some reptile individuals here in the studio or
- 19:59Speaker 2: which was not like the greatest moment of my time
- 20:03Speaker 2: so far.
- 20:04Speaker 4: That was funny is I was here for that.
- 20:07Speaker 3: I wasn't on air yet, but I saw them come
- 20:09Speaker 3: into the studio with the big snake and you were
- 20:11Speaker 3: far in the corner. You're like, no, I'm not trying
- 20:14Speaker 3: to get around those.
- 20:15Speaker 6: You know.
- 20:15Speaker 3: That's called oh videophobia, that's your snakes. Yeah, videophobia, Oh videophobia.
- 20:20Speaker 3: I suffer from ornithophobia, which is a fear of birds,
- 20:27Speaker 3: and Gabe, you've witnessed firsthand, like I go into like
- 20:31Speaker 3: panic attack mode when the birds we have these are
- 20:35Speaker 3: they crows? They like dive bomb into these windows for
- 20:39Speaker 3: the studio.
- 20:40Speaker 2: We have had some some instances.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, a few times, and that's terrifying to me.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I've been terrified of birds since I was I think
- 20:50Speaker 3: in second grade, and it does. It's a bummer because like,
- 20:55Speaker 3: the world is full of birds. Literally people retire and
- 20:59Speaker 3: they're like, I'm gonna watch now.
- 21:00Speaker 4: That's how many birds there are in the world. There's
- 21:03Speaker 4: so many to.
- 21:03Speaker 3: See, and oh it is. It's frustrating. For the most part,
- 21:07Speaker 3: I can avoid them. But then like Mikey and I
- 21:11Speaker 3: we went a few times earlier in the summer. We
- 21:14Speaker 3: went out to Detroit Lakes to just like hang out
- 21:16Speaker 3: on the beach and obviously your girl's always trying to
- 21:20Speaker 3: tan and so we'll be laying out. But then the yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 3: are those pelican seagulls whatever those white birds are that
- 21:26Speaker 3: are terrifying.
- 21:27Speaker 1: In the nats. Yeah, they just kind of bob along.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Yes, And then they're just walking along the shore and
- 21:32Speaker 3: I like, I tense up. I'm rigid, and I'm like
- 21:35Speaker 3: I can't, I can't, and I have to turn the
- 21:37Speaker 3: other way. And poor Mikey, he didn't sign up for this,
- 21:39Speaker 3: but he's like, do you need me to go scare
- 21:41Speaker 3: the birds away. I'm like, no, don't scare them because
- 21:43Speaker 3: then the immediate like flapping, Oh my gosh, it's all
- 21:47Speaker 3: very terrifying. And I just I wish I didn't have
- 21:49Speaker 3: this because I don't know how y'all just be living
- 21:51Speaker 3: in the world, not caring that birds are here.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if you'd have a good time
- 21:56Speaker 2: in Chicago because it is just littered with pigeons.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, yes, into Chicago.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Whoever I'm with, I'm like, oh, can you I have
- 22:04Speaker 3: to walk on the whatever opposite side of where the
- 22:07Speaker 3: birds are.
- 22:08Speaker 4: That's like not.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Normal, right, Yeah, Tara? What about you? What are you
- 22:11Speaker 1: afraid of or what's like your phobia?
- 22:13Speaker 5: I have a serious phobia about driving over bridges.
- 22:16Speaker 4: We're talking white knuckle.
- 22:18Speaker 5: Heart pounding fear.
- 22:19Speaker 4: I'll add forty five minutes to my route just.
- 22:21Speaker 2: To avoid one, which is kind of top. Now, the
- 22:25Speaker 2: good news is it's not like there's any like, I
- 22:27Speaker 2: don't know, like Golden Gate esque bridge necessarily that you would.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Have to do. Well, that's why she's not living over
- 22:33Speaker 4: there exactly.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Bryson, what about.
- 22:35Speaker 5: You, I'm afraid of cats. I know it doesn't make sense.
- 22:39Speaker 5: They're smaller than most things that I should be afraid of,
- 22:42Speaker 5: but this just freaked me out. If I see a
- 22:44Speaker 5: cat on the street, I either have to wait for
- 22:46Speaker 5: it to cross, or I just have to take a
- 22:49Speaker 5: different route to avoid it.
- 22:50Speaker 2: That's like Sal from in Practical Jokers.
- 22:53Speaker 3: He's okay, So Bryson and Seal are not coming over
- 22:57Speaker 3: to your house anytimes.
- 23:00Speaker 1: My Halloween party. That's true.
- 23:06Speaker 2: There are a lot of awesome life hacks that you
- 23:12Speaker 2: can learn on TikTok, but this is a great time
- 23:15Speaker 2: to remind you that and sometimes things are just It
- 23:19Speaker 2: might be a TikTok hack. It could be a TikTok whack,
- 23:23Speaker 2: all right? Is this a TikTok angie or a tick knot?
- 23:26Speaker 4: All right?
- 23:27Speaker 2: The latest TikTok hack is supposed to help your vacuum
- 23:31Speaker 2: pick up more dirt and grime and whatever else is
- 23:34Speaker 2: on your carpets or your hardwood floors.
- 23:36Speaker 1: By weighing it down.
- 23:38Speaker 2: But the item people are using to add weight is
- 23:41Speaker 2: the most impractical thing you could think of. What a
- 23:46Speaker 2: baby Not quite, but you're sort of kind of on
- 23:51Speaker 2: the right track a little bit. The hack is way
- 23:54Speaker 2: the front of your vacuum down by putting a watermelon on.
- 23:59Speaker 4: Top of it.
- 24:00Speaker 2: There is a video that is racking up millions of
- 24:05Speaker 2: views as this woman who posted it does it with
- 24:08Speaker 2: a carpet cleaner.
- 24:09Speaker 1: But it works with a regular vacuum.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Of course, you just toss a full, uncut watermelon on
- 24:15Speaker 2: there and vacuum like normal.
- 24:19Speaker 4: So why would you use how do you even put
- 24:23Speaker 4: that on there?
- 24:24Speaker 1: She has it just a balance in a way.
- 24:27Speaker 3: This is not I don't like this woman, because why
- 24:30Speaker 3: did you put this on?
- 24:31Speaker 4: TikTok? And you're like, yeah, easy, pasy hack.
- 24:34Speaker 3: You don't how many watermelons are staining carpets right with
- 24:39Speaker 3: people trying to do this ridiculous hack.
- 24:41Speaker 4: I don't like it.
- 24:42Speaker 2: What's the worst part about it is there is this
- 24:45Speaker 2: site that has tested this out and it does seem
- 24:49Speaker 2: to help your vacuum pick up more dirt. But they
- 24:53Speaker 2: had to go really really slow or the watermelon would
- 24:56Speaker 2: just roll off immediately. They said, using a watermelon up
- 25:00Speaker 2: to the fun factor, So try it if you want,
- 25:03Speaker 2: or maybe you could just use like a big heavy
- 25:06Speaker 2: bag of rice or a weight.
- 25:08Speaker 3: I was gonna say, why does it have to be
- 25:09Speaker 3: a watermelon? Also, why do you have to balance it?
- 25:13Speaker 3: I feel like because when I said a baby also,
- 25:15Speaker 3: that was a weird thing for me to say.
- 25:17Speaker 4: When we were little.
- 25:18Speaker 3: My little brother when he was like a toddler used
- 25:20Speaker 3: to hang on to the vacuum while my mom vacuumed.
- 25:22Speaker 1: I feel like I did something.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Well okay, yeah, yeah, I don't just think people are
- 25:25Speaker 3: using babies as weights anyway. But you know how when
- 25:29Speaker 3: women are trying to be like, you don't understand what
- 25:31Speaker 3: it's like to be pregnant. I didn't mean to say
- 25:33Speaker 3: that mocking because men don't understand what it's like to
- 25:35Speaker 3: be pregnant. But you saran wrap the watermelon around your
- 25:40Speaker 3: dude's like belly so that he can see what it's
- 25:42Speaker 3: like to be pregnant.
- 25:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like, isn't that what you should do?
- 25:46Speaker 3: Then saran wrap the watermelon around the vacuum base, because
- 25:51Speaker 3: what a waste of time? Like, yes, it does pick
- 25:55Speaker 3: up more dirt, but you have to go really slow
- 25:57Speaker 3: and you're doing a watermelon balancing act.
- 25:59Speaker 4: This is not worth it.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Okay, So this would be a you'd label this, what
- 26:03Speaker 2: a TikTok hack?
- 26:03Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that was the point of TikTok whack. That's right.
- 26:07Speaker 3: This is a tick, not a TikTok. It's a tick knot.
- 26:10Speaker 3: This is not a TikTok hack. It is a TikTok whack.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Other than the.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Fact that we have a mixed bag of weather today
- 26:22Speaker 2: with a high of eighty one.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Game's good news.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Gabe's good news of the day involves this brother and
- 26:27Speaker 2: sister who are separated as kids and have found each
- 26:30Speaker 2: other eighty years later. Eighty Yes, Donald and Mary in
- 26:35Speaker 2: this She's a She's eighty, he's eighty one.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Now.
- 26:38Speaker 2: What happened was their mom had mental health issues and
- 26:41Speaker 2: their dad couldn't take care of them, so they ended
- 26:43Speaker 2: up in foster care as babies.
- 26:46Speaker 1: In the nineteen forties.
- 26:49Speaker 2: He found out about her when he reached out to
- 26:51Speaker 2: his foster care agency in nineteen sixty three and tracked
- 26:56Speaker 2: down her adopt adoptive parents, but they told them to
- 26:59Speaker 2: be basically get lost, so we did what.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Donald's daughter ended.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Up spending two decades trying to track Marion down for him,
- 27:08Speaker 2: and finally.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Did this last year.
- 27:11Speaker 2: She realized Marian's son did a DNA test through ancestry
- 27:15Speaker 2: dot Com and she.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Got in touch.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Donald is in Florida and Marian lives in California, so
- 27:20Speaker 2: they've talked on the phone a lot, but they haven't
- 27:23Speaker 2: been able to meet in person yet. She is planning
- 27:27Speaker 2: to fly to see him in Florida very soon. So
- 27:31Speaker 2: these you know, long lost brother and sister finally able
- 27:35Speaker 2: to sort of track each other down and meet in
- 27:39Speaker 2: person after obviously a pretty tough upbringing.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, this is my heart.
- 27:44Speaker 3: I can't handle it, and like, thank god, they're both
- 27:46Speaker 3: still alive.
- 27:47Speaker 2: You know, yeah, right, especially you know eighty and eighty one.
- 27:50Speaker 2: That's not that's definitely not young. So they still have
- 27:53Speaker 2: some time to meet and talk and kind of form
- 27:56Speaker 2: that in person relationship. And good for that daughter doing
- 27:59Speaker 2: all that work can help out for all those decades.
- 28:01Speaker 4: Very impressive.
- 28:02Speaker 2: The world's full of nice people. If you can't find one,
- 28:05Speaker 2: you gotta be one.
