- 0:06Speaker 1: Hi, everyone. Welcome back to Vanity Fair. My name is

- 0:13Speaker 1: Season 8, Episode 4, Schnapps on the Rocks, Part 2, Babes.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Happy Halloween. If you are available, come hang out with
- 0:22Speaker 1: me on my YouTube, Chris Farah. Just search that. And
- 0:26Speaker 1: it's going to be like a little Halloween 90 Day
- 0:28Speaker 1: live chat, pop culture, hang, honey, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Pacific
- 0:35Speaker 1: Standard Time. Okay, so hi. All right, babes, let's get
- 0:40Speaker 1: back into it. So we're going to pick up with our, listen,
- 0:44Speaker 1: our loves, Niles and Matilda. Now, we are nervous for Niles,
- 0:51Speaker 1: and it does feel like Niles also doesn't get how
- 0:55Speaker 1: hilarious it is that he chastised matilda for doing what
- 1:01Speaker 1: he's doing which is holding a secret um and the
- 1:04Speaker 1: secret is even bigger than just her getting an apartment
- 1:07Speaker 1: it's where they're going to spend the rest of their
- 1:09Speaker 1: lives and that secret is on the piggyback of him
- 1:13Speaker 1: saying the opposite that they're going to in fact move
- 1:16Speaker 1: to america told everyone including his new father mr arc
- 1:21Speaker 1: and her parents and gave himself the timeline that it
- 1:28Speaker 1: Now we, I guess me and you, unless you know,
- 1:34Speaker 1: don't quite understand why it's taken so long. Like, I mean,
- 1:39Speaker 1: we're going to assume we get that information from Niles,
- 1:42Speaker 1: but like whether it's his perception of why he has
- 1:47Speaker 1: not gotten it done or it's been denied or it's
- 1:50Speaker 1: because it can't happen or other people can do it.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Like it's confusing to us and it You know, it's
- 1:58Speaker 1: always annoying for me. One sec. Okay, so they get
- 2:06Speaker 1: to Mr. Ark's house and, you know, his wife Mary
- 2:09Speaker 1: hugs and is like, you know, Niles, and she's wildly
- 2:13Speaker 1: elated to see him. She's so lovely and greets him,
- 2:16Speaker 1: you know, quickly. And the first thing that Mr. Ark
- 2:18Speaker 1: says is, do you have the things I asked for?
- 2:21Speaker 1: And we get a great flashback, honey. And the flashback
- 2:25Speaker 1: gives us, listen, The FaceTime image of Mr. Ark, I mean,
- 2:31Speaker 1: nostrils up. I mean, you know, it's, we are seeing inside,
- 2:36Speaker 1: instead of like the bat caves, it's like the center
- 2:40Speaker 1: of the earth, you know, like the two centers of
- 2:42Speaker 1: the earth, you know, where there is, you know, gray
- 2:49Speaker 1: bushes around. Okay. So basically he says, He wants two
- 2:54Speaker 1: bottles of schnapps, hence the name of the episode, but
- 2:57Speaker 1: not even the only time it's like, you know, talked
- 3:00Speaker 1: about and not even just in the storyline, although it's
- 3:03Speaker 1: two in the storyline and another one as well. And
- 3:06Speaker 1: then he's like, champagne. And I'm like, oh, okay. Is
- 3:11Speaker 1: the schnapps in the champagne? Are you crafting a cocktail?
- 3:16Speaker 1: Are they separate? I mean, you know, I do love
- 3:20Speaker 1: a champagne cocktail. It's like, I love a French 75. Okay. Okay.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And then he says, a parcel of money. And I
- 3:28Speaker 1: found that to be interesting because I'm not quite sure
- 3:31Speaker 1: what that means. A parcel of money, a parcel is
- 3:35Speaker 1: like a kind of phrase that I don't ever really
- 3:39Speaker 1: listen or I pay attention to unless I'm reading Shakespeare
- 3:44Speaker 1: or some play that's been translated. Like again, I'm gonna
- 3:49Speaker 1: like bring up Chekhov. Like, you know, it's like, Yeah,
- 3:52Speaker 1: he brought a parcel of land. Like, it's like parcel
- 3:55Speaker 1: of land. It just means a bit, right? A little bit?
- 3:59Speaker 1: A bit? I need to know what, like, the connotation
- 4:04Speaker 1: denotation of parcel is for, like, me and everyone. So anyway,
- 4:11Speaker 1: whatever that means, you know. And listen, people be asking
- 4:15Speaker 1: Niles for money, okay? And then he says, and clothes
- 4:19Speaker 1: for my wife and I. Like for a moment, I
- 4:21Speaker 1: was like, clothes for your wife. How lovely. And then
- 4:23Speaker 1: he's like, and I. And then I also want to know, well,
- 4:27Speaker 1: is this schnapps or champagne for her? I just like
- 4:32Speaker 1: dying to know everything about it. Okay. Now Niles heard
- 4:36Speaker 1: this and Niles was like, great. Seemingly he was at
- 4:40Speaker 1: the airport already. So I was like, was he supposed
- 4:42Speaker 1: to go to like a duty-free shop on one of
- 4:45Speaker 1: the layovers? I mean, I'm assuming yes. he would have
- 4:49Speaker 1: had to gone to like a duty-free shop in one
- 4:51Speaker 1: of the layovers. I have never bought from a duty-free shop.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And I understand the situation is it's like, yeah, if
- 4:56Speaker 1: you are a foreigner at a duty-free shop, you don't
- 5:01Speaker 1: have to pay your duty, which is sales tax. Right.
- 5:10Speaker 1: So it's like the time to do that, I guess, like, Right?
- 5:14Speaker 1: Is that what's supposed to happen? I don't know. I
- 5:17Speaker 1: wish I knew more about these things. And you know what?
- 5:18Speaker 1: I can just ask Google and you're like, bitch, do.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Stop asking us. Okay, that's fine. But you know, I
- 5:23Speaker 1: was like, this happened. He was at the airport. He's
- 5:25Speaker 1: gotten asked these things unless he was also pre-asked or
- 5:28Speaker 1: got an email or something unless, no, it's now. And
- 5:31Speaker 1: he already had his bags. I was like, what can
- 5:32Speaker 1: you do? You have to just like now buy a
- 5:33Speaker 1: bag and buy all these things at Duty Free Shop
- 5:36Speaker 1: and just like make this like, you know, Mr. Ark's sack, Mr.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Ark's present sack and just be like a little Santa. Yeah.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Guess what? Niles doesn't have it. Doesn't have it. Does
- 5:47Speaker 1: he have it? Nope. Now, whether he is like, oh,
- 5:52Speaker 1: I just forgot it. And, or I still have to
- 5:56Speaker 1: go get all those things. It's like, did Mr. Ark
- 5:59Speaker 1: think he was going to get foreign stuff? Like, was
- 6:01Speaker 1: he should have been like, I don't know. Yeah. You know,
- 6:04Speaker 1: get my wife some things. We can't just get around here.
- 6:08Speaker 1: You're the one, you know, touching foot on different, you know,
- 6:14Speaker 1: exciting places that might just, you know, spice things up
- 6:17Speaker 1: in her wardrobe, make her like, you know, look diff.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Other girls would be like, where'd you get that? Legos?
- 6:25Speaker 1: I don't know. Okay, so now we do understand that
- 6:33Speaker 1: the cameramen are always trying to show us things that
- 6:40Speaker 1: might not be verbally said. or even mentioned. But they're there,
- 6:47Speaker 1: and they want us to know. And in this situation,
- 6:51Speaker 1: they gave us like, almost like, I mean, a very
- 6:57Speaker 1: cinematic Mike Nichols style, I mean, shot, where Mr. Ark,
- 7:03Speaker 1: God bless, has one fake hand. It's a mannequin hand.
- 7:08Speaker 1: It's a mannequin straight fake hand, okay? It's his right hand. So,
- 7:12Speaker 1: The shot is the hand coming down like in like
- 7:17Speaker 1: a judgment or like almost, I mean, the fingers itself
- 7:20Speaker 1: of the mannequin hand are in that Italian kind of way,
- 7:25Speaker 1: you know, like, oh, I'm about to like be like
- 7:27Speaker 1: the first kiss sound before you open your palms. If
- 7:31Speaker 1: you like loved food, it's that. And that's shaded and
- 7:38Speaker 1: blurry as the foreground is. In the background is Niles
- 7:44Speaker 1: in perfect, clear view, and he is being judged, okay?
- 7:49Speaker 1: And that's how we're like, oh, we're supposed to be
- 7:52Speaker 1: reminded that Mr. Ark has this hand. And Mary, by
- 7:55Speaker 1: the way, is giving us, oh, honey, kind of like light, Chloe,
- 8:00Speaker 1: like 1960s, 70s. Like, I like her fashion. I like
- 8:05Speaker 1: her bracelets. Like, I guess maybe he's like, yeah, she
- 8:08Speaker 1: wants more of the same. I don't know. Like, if
- 8:10Speaker 1: she wants clothes around her, I'm assuming he should be like,
- 8:13Speaker 1: go to this shop. This is her favorite shop. Now, yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 1: she's great. I don't know what she... God bless what
- 8:22Speaker 1: her life is like on a daily basis. But when
- 8:24Speaker 1: it comes to understanding people, like that's the inside nuanced
- 8:34Speaker 1: producer-led confession where I don't think Mr. Ark will let
- 8:38Speaker 1: Mary talk without him. But I would love her to
- 8:46Speaker 1: and have like a translator there and be like, what's
- 8:47Speaker 1: your life like, babe? Just like day to day, like
- 8:50Speaker 1: day in the life and What time do you wake up?
- 8:51Speaker 1: What do you have to do? When you want something,
- 8:54Speaker 1: what happens? You know, it's like I, I would, I'm
- 9:00Speaker 1: wildly interested. Okay. So guess what? He obviously is upset
- 9:08Speaker 1: because Niles hasn't done the things he's supposed to do.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Like I said, the schnapps. not getting Matilda back to
- 9:17Speaker 1: America in time, all of it. And so he's scolding
- 9:20Speaker 1: him and Matilda is happy about it because she low-key
- 9:22Speaker 1: wants it because she also agrees. And it does feel
- 9:26Speaker 1: foreboding because she has said that her parents are really upset,
- 9:31Speaker 1: really upset by this. And it's like shameful, disgraceful. And
- 9:35Speaker 1: in like comparison, I guess they know people that have
- 9:39Speaker 1: also met someone from America and for some reason they're
- 9:43Speaker 1: quickly there, honey. Her bestie from college, I mean, and church,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I don't know, from schooling and church, straight up has
- 9:52Speaker 1: a girl that she knows, same church, that is now
- 9:57Speaker 1: like living in Chicago. And it's been two months. I mean,
- 9:59Speaker 1: she says some version of this. Okay. Then Mr. Ark
- 10:06Speaker 1: is like, I don't think you understand the gravity of
- 10:08Speaker 1: this situation. Matilda's mom can give you back the schnapps.
- 10:15Speaker 1: And I mean, you can't give that one to me.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I have a whole different one. You have to give
- 10:19Speaker 1: me a different one. Um, but if she gives you
- 10:22Speaker 1: back the schnapps, which is of course like part of
- 10:25Speaker 1: the dowry, I guess that you had given, then the
- 10:29Speaker 1: fucking marriage is done. Bye marriage. Because you didn't deliver.
- 10:33Speaker 1: You are not to be trusted. You are a bad deal.
- 10:39Speaker 1: You know, he processes it and it's like, you know,
- 10:45Speaker 1: It's hard for him to process and he kind of
- 10:47Speaker 1: goes through it and he's doing it on camera and
- 10:50Speaker 1: it's overwhelming and he has to like slow down his
- 10:53Speaker 1: thoughts and then also, you know, pick and choose his
- 10:56Speaker 1: reactions and God bless him. That's the part where it's
- 10:59Speaker 1: like hard. I don't, you know, love to see people
- 11:02Speaker 1: who have to go through pain and suffering live on
- 11:07Speaker 1: camera who, you know, I.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Think.
- 11:13Speaker 1: walk through this world with like certain difficulties like Niles might.
- 11:17Speaker 1: So that part sucks, right? I have to assume that
- 11:21Speaker 1: maybe some part of this are fake and that gives
- 11:23Speaker 1: me relief, okay? So later on, they go back to
- 11:26Speaker 1: her apartment and he sees, of course, it and there's
- 11:29Speaker 1: not much furniture, but my babies, let's see, that bed, honey,
- 11:33Speaker 1: is a Burberry bed. A Burberry bed. A Burberry sheets,
- 11:40Speaker 1: full set bed. You know, it's like the light sand,
- 11:45Speaker 1: it's a checkered black three stripe and then white tartan.
- 11:51Speaker 1: That's what the kids say, tartan. My first two luxe
- 12:00Speaker 1: purchase for myself were a Burberry, that Burberry cashmere scarf
- 12:05Speaker 1: that's in that print with a little fringe down the side.
- 12:08Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? You've seen it. A is
- 12:12Speaker 1: great because those colors, like that light kind of sandy,
- 12:16Speaker 1: taupey camel, and the red, black, and white is just,
- 12:19Speaker 1: you know, it's neutrals. And it goes with so many things, right?
- 12:23Speaker 1: And I was at like a live auction. I'm sorry,
- 12:26Speaker 1: I was at an auction and there was like a
- 12:27Speaker 1: silent auction. I'm sorry. I would, could you imagine if
- 12:29Speaker 1: I was like, give it to me, one, you know? No,
- 12:32Speaker 1: but you just had to write down a number. And
- 12:34Speaker 1: I remember looking and it was like suggested retail price. Like,
- 12:37Speaker 1: let's just say like, $ 250 or something. And no one
- 12:42Speaker 1: had written anything down. So I just did. And I
- 12:46Speaker 1: got it for like super cheap. I don't remember exactly
- 12:49Speaker 1: how much I got it for. I don't think I
- 12:50Speaker 1: got it for... I think I... Nothing more than like $ 70,
- 12:53Speaker 1: which at that time was a lot for me. But
- 12:55Speaker 1: I remember just being like, I think I just stole
- 12:57Speaker 1: this Burberry scarf. Anyway. And then when I did a
- 13:02Speaker 1: study abroad, I bought myself a little LV. Okay. So... They,
- 13:07Speaker 1: you know, get in bed. And then she obviously is
- 13:10Speaker 1: also wearing a great pink bonnet. There's lots of different bonnets, right?
- 13:16Speaker 1: Like hers looks truly like satin or silky in the
- 13:21Speaker 1: kind of poofy, almost chef-like style. I have a shower
- 13:29Speaker 1: cap that's more like Martha, like Washington style. You know
- 13:33Speaker 1: what I'm saying? That's kind of like that. And I have,
- 13:36Speaker 1: that's to like shower with. And then I have a
- 13:38Speaker 1: silk bonnet that's kind of like hair, not harem, but
- 13:43Speaker 1: what's it called? Oh, turban, turban. So many styles of
- 13:48Speaker 1: bonnets for women. Okay. So, and obviously she has braids
- 13:54Speaker 1: and stuff like that. So, or I think that she has,
- 13:56Speaker 1: what's her natural hair right now? But she has thick hair,
- 13:59Speaker 1: so she has to have some room up there is
- 14:00Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say. Anyway, they are spending some
- 14:06Speaker 1: quality time together. And obviously they're cutesy-wootsy when they're together.
- 14:09Speaker 1: And he gives her some gifts. And one is a
- 14:13Speaker 1: tablet in a box. We're like, oh, cool. He's like,
- 14:15Speaker 1: and the way he does it is like, you know
- 14:16Speaker 1: how I have a tablet? And she's like, yes. And
- 14:18Speaker 1: he's like, now you do. And then he gives her
- 14:22Speaker 1: A laptop computer. It's a Mac, but it's just willy
- 14:25Speaker 1: nilly laptop and then charger. I'm assuming it's his old one.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I mean, the tablet came in the box. The laptop
- 14:38Speaker 1: was not even in a sleeve, like not even in
- 14:41Speaker 1: one of those little foamy weird ones, you know, you
- 14:46Speaker 1: can get off Amazon. There's just like nothing, just bare laptop.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I don't know if he packed it like with his underwear,
- 14:52Speaker 1: like in between the cubes, honey, but it was just
- 14:55Speaker 1: raw computer just thrown on the bed. So, but she
- 14:59Speaker 1: is happy. She's grateful for it. She's really, really excited.
- 15:02Speaker 1: She didn't expect it. And then he's like, but that's
- 15:05Speaker 1: not it, babe. That pales in comparison to what I've done.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I've put all of these maxims on these tablets. Like
- 15:16Speaker 1: I'm Moses for you. That's like, It's wood that has
- 15:22Speaker 1: been inscribed or sketched with a bunch of words, small words,
- 15:28Speaker 1: small font, overwhelming, not anything you'd ever want to read
- 15:32Speaker 1: with weird consistencies of spacing. It's like he made a
- 15:37Speaker 1: Google Doc and then, yeah, really made this himself. But
- 15:41Speaker 1: it also gives me, you know, those Dr. Bronner's soap bottles.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Have you ever stood? in a shower with one of
- 15:51Speaker 1: those Dr. Bronner soap bottles and really read the entire thing. Listen,
- 15:57Speaker 1: I understand it's a great product, but some of those
- 16:00Speaker 1: ramblings feel like schizophrenic posts that like, oh no, kind of, oh,
- 16:06Speaker 1: when you like stumble them on the internet, when you're like, oh,
- 16:08Speaker 1: that person, ooh, that doesn't read right. It's a lot of, whoa,
- 16:12Speaker 1: it's a lot of, it's okay. Anyway, it gave me that.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I'm going to read you some because, you know, the golden, listen,
- 16:24Speaker 1: the golden gift I have of maybe getting a screener
- 16:27Speaker 1: is that I can take screenshots and then, you know,
- 16:30Speaker 1: give them to the people only after the episode airs,
- 16:33Speaker 1: of course. But the golden maxim, God is the only,
- 16:37Speaker 1: this is, of course, what's on what he's giving her. Okay. Okay.
- 16:41Speaker 1: God is the only irresistible force or insurmountable object. If
- 16:44Speaker 1: you are not God, you cannot be stopped and you
- 16:47Speaker 1: can be moved. You are fallible, flawed, and unable to
- 16:50Speaker 1: predict everything. As such, you must plan and prepare accordingly
- 16:53Speaker 1: to manage your risks and trials. The universal exceptions in
- 16:57Speaker 1: all things, there must be balanced logic, reason, and discretion.
- 17:00Speaker 1: When any are missing, expect corruption and chaos to follow
- 17:04Speaker 1: in most, if not in all situations. Yeah, I mean,
- 17:08Speaker 1: it's like, Humans fault and fail all the time, so yeah.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Insanity is doing the same exact action, expecting a different result.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Stupidity is knowing. An action will not have the desired result,
- 17:20Speaker 1: but doing so anyway, if you must choose. Insanity is
- 17:23Speaker 1: referable to... Preferable? Where's that P? Oh, it's missing a P.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Who made this?
- 17:34Speaker 2: Okay.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Insanity is preferable to stupidity, but never be both. Establishing magnet. Okay. Well, anyways, she,
- 17:44Speaker 1: her face is like, he's like, remember these from when
- 17:49Speaker 1: I first met and talked about him? She's like, uh-huh.
- 17:51Speaker 1: And then I forgot about them easily. He's like, did
- 17:53Speaker 1: you read them all? Have you memorized them? And she's like,
- 17:57Speaker 1: have you gotten me to America yet, buddy? Let's face,
- 18:01Speaker 1: let's not change the subject. Have you? Nope. Fuck around
- 18:06Speaker 1: with these. misspelled etch-a-sketch wooden tablets. All right? I have
- 18:13Speaker 1: my God. There. I would have said blasphemy. I can't. Sorry.
- 18:18Speaker 1: I can't learn those shit because I'm Catholic. So no,
- 18:23Speaker 1: I can't. God, that's why. Death, that's the reason. Really,
- 18:27Speaker 1: I don't want it in internal. So nope.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Bye.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Oh, thank God. I don't know how to read that.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Horrible small font. Tiny, tiny writing. Okay. Um, now listen,
- 18:39Speaker 1: the morning after, right. You know, it's always like, great.
- 18:42Speaker 1: It's like, I talked about that music. And then we're
- 18:45Speaker 1: supposed to be like, let's separate the two and talk
- 18:47Speaker 1: about the fuck, you know, like it's, that is what
- 18:49Speaker 1: is on the agenda. It's, it must be a built
- 18:53Speaker 1: in template to the order of the day and, or
- 18:57Speaker 1: the structure of it all. Okay. Must be. So he's
- 19:01Speaker 1: a gentleman and she is great, you know, and she's
- 19:06Speaker 1: in that bonnet. And she says, I can't tell you
- 19:13Speaker 1: what happened last night, but girl, I enjoy it. The
- 19:24Speaker 1: kids and like the generation now do this thing where,
- 19:27Speaker 1: you know, instead of clapping, like they just touch, they
- 19:29Speaker 1: touch their thumb and their pointer finger together in this
- 19:34Speaker 1: like cunty way. And, you know, like if you're visually
- 19:37Speaker 1: watching me do it, you're like, yes. But if you're
- 19:39Speaker 1: on the podcast, you're like, nope. And so you have
- 19:41Speaker 1: to know that that's what I'm doing it. That's what
- 19:43Speaker 1: I'm doing. Because that is a very, yes, girl, I
- 19:46Speaker 1: enjoy it. I can't tell you what happened last night,
- 19:47Speaker 1: but girl, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. Okay. So
- 19:57Speaker 1: basically now they have to get in the car and
- 19:59Speaker 1: drive over to her family's house. And because they're not
- 20:02Speaker 1: staying in Mr. Ark's house, which of course he had
- 20:04Speaker 1: to tell Mr. Ark, so sorry, I forgot to say that. Yeah,
- 20:06Speaker 1: he had to be like, Mr. Ark, I'm not staying
- 20:08Speaker 1: with you. I'm going to be with my wife. And Mr.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Ark was like, and Mary was like, let them. And Mr.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Ark's like, okay, I get it. Yeah, you want to fuck.
- 20:16Speaker 1: So now, you know, they have to meet Mr. Ark
- 20:19Speaker 1: because Mr. Ark, of course, is Niles' dad and talk
- 20:23Speaker 1: through him. Niles talks through Mr. Ark only. to Matilda's family.
- 20:28Speaker 1: And Mr. Ark is already pissed at Niles and knows
- 20:33Speaker 1: that Matilda's family is too. And Matilda knows. And Niles
- 20:37Speaker 1: is like a little bit of a sitting duck. Like
- 20:40Speaker 1: Matilda doesn't want to make Niles too nervous because she
- 20:46Speaker 1: understands in certain situations, I think that she has to
- 20:48Speaker 1: be not reactive in front of him. And I think
- 20:55Speaker 1: that Whether she ultimately and him work out, it is
- 20:59Speaker 1: the reason why this part of her, her sort of
- 21:03Speaker 1: understanding how to be with him in a way that
- 21:12Speaker 1: feels like she's doing it to care for him, is
- 21:15Speaker 1: why I trust her as being a good match for him. Okay? Okay.
- 21:20Speaker 1: So anyway, so she doesn't want to let him know
- 21:23Speaker 1: how nervous she is about the fact that she knows
- 21:25Speaker 1: how pissed her family is. Okay. We'll see. That's what's
- 21:31Speaker 1: going to happen in the next episode. Let's move on, babes.
- 21:35Speaker 1: We met a new couple, honey. New couple. And it
- 21:41Speaker 1: is Michelle and Felix. Michelle is 40 from Dallas and
- 21:46Speaker 1: Felix is from Ghana. Yes, honey. Okay. So she's, she
- 21:53Speaker 1: likes to flip cars and she's Southern. So she kind
- 21:55Speaker 1: of gives me a little bit like a Southern Marissa
- 21:58Speaker 1: Tomei from My Cousin Vinny. She knows cars very well.
- 22:03Speaker 1: You might look at her and be like, oh, she's
- 22:06Speaker 1: like a cutesy girl with long hair, long black hair.
- 22:08Speaker 1: You know, like she, you know, like has like a
- 22:10Speaker 1: curvy body. Like what does she know about cars? You might,
- 22:13Speaker 1: you know, you might. And then she's going to be like,
- 22:16Speaker 1: it's a Ford. What you shouldn't. I used to, I
- 22:21Speaker 1: tried to lip sync the whole monologue and I had
- 22:23Speaker 1: a good TikTok of it. And then I, for some reason,
- 22:25Speaker 1: lost that TikTok account. I had to make a whole
- 22:26Speaker 1: new one. It makes me so upset. Anyway, she could
- 22:29Speaker 1: do that kind of thing. You know what? Honestly, Michelle,
- 22:33Speaker 1: if you open a TikTok, it is the first long
- 22:35Speaker 1: lip sync you should do. Okay. So she flips cars.
- 22:38Speaker 1: She does other things. She's like a bartender. God bless.
- 22:40Speaker 1: But she flips cars for 11 years with her friend, Henry.
- 22:43Speaker 1: And she loves going to car auctions. She buys them.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Maybe she knows about them. She... course fixes them if
- 22:51Speaker 1: they need fixing or whatever then they get to sell
- 22:53Speaker 1: them for money um now another thing that she does
- 22:58Speaker 1: is that she says I ain't gonna lie I ain't
- 23:02Speaker 1: gonna lie but she has a really low raspy voice
- 23:05Speaker 1: so she's more like I ain't gonna lie I love
- 23:11Speaker 1: I love going to car actions I ain't gonna lie
- 23:17Speaker 1: it's like so low it's so raspy I do love it.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I do love it. I like her. Now she's had
- 23:28Speaker 1: a tough childhood, which makes the choices she's presently making,
- 23:32Speaker 1: I guess, make sense because only from like a tough,
- 23:35Speaker 1: traumatic childhood where you had to sort of leave early
- 23:38Speaker 1: and be on your own and work at Denny's and
- 23:40Speaker 1: then have a child early on and then have to
- 23:43Speaker 1: like feed that child, would you desperately want to believe
- 23:48Speaker 1: in relief. And this is what is, I think, so heartbreaking.
- 24:01Speaker 1: And I, because it is for me, and I think
- 24:06Speaker 1: like a lot of humans can relate to this. It
- 24:07Speaker 1: is heartbreaking to think that relief, love, validation, peace comes
- 24:14Speaker 1: from only inside you. Because the thought of that seems
- 24:25Speaker 1: like winning the lottery would be easier than cultivating, believing,
- 24:34Speaker 1: sitting in, trusting yourself to give you all of those things.
- 24:42Speaker 1: or you in, I guess, cahoots with the universe in
- 24:46Speaker 1: some sort of constant faith cycle where things also come
- 24:50Speaker 1: to you when timing is right. Like, I'm not saying
- 24:54Speaker 1: that's wrong, but I think that it can be wildly like,
- 24:57Speaker 1: what do you want me to try and do? Just how?
- 25:03Speaker 1: It doesn't seem tangible. Whereas the outside solution of finding
- 25:09Speaker 1: said thing in miracle thing like finding love or validation
- 25:14Speaker 1: or safety or peace or home, a sense of humor,
- 25:16Speaker 1: all of that, like money, whatever you want, financial freedom, stability,
- 25:21Speaker 1: in any way. That's the prize that you think you're
- 25:27Speaker 1: going to find in the certain great thing that comes
- 25:32Speaker 1: your way. And that great thing could be a job
- 25:36Speaker 1: or it could be a person or it could be
- 25:39Speaker 1: an opportunity like a money-making venture, right? Of some way.
- 25:46Speaker 1: And yeah, like if you are so chasing those things outside,
- 25:52Speaker 1: you will become blind to what might be the obvious
- 25:56Speaker 1: red flags that that thing isn't going to give you
- 25:59Speaker 1: the prize. Might even be worse, might even be bad.
- 26:04Speaker 1: And you are so blinded, distracted by getting that out
- 26:07Speaker 1: that you're not surely, of course, paying attention to yourself
- 26:10Speaker 1: and working on yourself to get what you ultimately want.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Of course, you're just chasing. And I think that that is, yeah,
- 26:18Speaker 1: it is really, really, really difficult. And then if you
- 26:21Speaker 1: layer it on top people that have had trauma and
- 26:25Speaker 1: where it lives in their body and it's not escaping
- 26:27Speaker 1: and it informs them. things they do and the way
- 26:31Speaker 1: that they view themselves and the way that they view
- 26:34Speaker 1: others and like the feelings they feel at night, like all,
- 26:37Speaker 1: and you know, when crises come arise, like I think
- 26:43Speaker 1: that panic allows people to sort of like spin their
- 26:47Speaker 1: wheels in different ways. You know, it's interesting. Cause I
- 26:50Speaker 1: just made fun of Niles for those maxims, but one
- 26:54Speaker 1: of them is true, right? Like repeating patterns. That's what
- 26:57Speaker 1: insanity is. Insanity is repeating patterns. And expecting different results.
- 27:01Speaker 1: And so a pattern can be the chasing of sources
- 27:05Speaker 1: outside of yourself for things that you want that, you know,
- 27:07Speaker 1: ultimately won't give it to you. And, and truly these
- 27:11Speaker 1: are life things that honey, all of us do, right?
- 27:14Speaker 1: All of us do. So again, she has a daughter
- 27:17Speaker 1: that's Kira. What happened was her relationship with Henry, her coworker.
- 27:26Speaker 1: We don't quite know the ups and downs, but they're
- 27:29Speaker 1: very close and have worked together a long time. And
- 27:32Speaker 1: in this moment, certainly feel like brother and sister. And
- 27:36Speaker 1: something was like, he had gone to Lagos, I think.
- 27:44Speaker 1: And she had a stopover in Ghana, something like that.
- 27:48Speaker 1: She had gone to visit her friend Henry, who was
- 27:50Speaker 1: somewhere in Africa. And then she had a stopover in
- 27:53Speaker 1: the airport in Ghana. And God bless, you know, that's
- 27:57Speaker 1: where Felix works. At the airport bar. She like went
- 28:02Speaker 1: up there and she was like, give me schnapps. Schnapps
- 28:05Speaker 1: cocktail with champagne, please. And anyway, but she's like, she
- 28:11Speaker 1: started trusting him from day one. Which is never good.
- 28:19Speaker 1: And for any reason, I'm trying to think the most
- 28:24Speaker 1: ideal way that someone would be like, I trusted this
- 28:26Speaker 1: person from day one because they were my doctor. Well,
- 28:31Speaker 1: I'd be like, your doctor's trying to fuck you? Or
- 28:34Speaker 1: your doctors are coming on to you? There's no good,
- 28:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry, there's no good, to me, way in which
- 28:42Speaker 1: you can say that you started trusting someone from day
- 28:44Speaker 1: one how would you, what experience would you have to
- 28:51Speaker 1: have watched to do that? I watched a single dad
- 28:56Speaker 1: rush home from, you know, no, I'm sorry, rush from
- 29:01Speaker 1: work to pick up his son who had fallen in
- 29:03Speaker 1: a baseball game and then take him to get stitches
- 29:06Speaker 1: and let him cry on his shoulder. I don't know.
- 29:10Speaker 1: He'd be like, well, I trust that person. So I
- 29:12Speaker 1: like him now. I'm going to fuck, you know, I
- 29:13Speaker 1: don't know. Like, I guess maybe, but even then you're like, well, that's,
- 29:16Speaker 1: you're watching someone surely react to someone they made in
- 29:19Speaker 1: their life. That's not how they maybe will treat you,
- 29:23Speaker 1: random stranger. There's just, you know, I can't think of
- 29:26Speaker 1: a good experience. So if you can, that's what I'm
- 29:29Speaker 1: trying to do. And you know what? Nope. Okay. So
- 29:34Speaker 1: what happened was after they meet, because she's a trusting gal,
- 29:39Speaker 1: she and him talk all the time and she goes
- 29:41Speaker 1: back to Ghana and she was going to like, you know,
- 29:43Speaker 1: stay for a couple days, just two weeks. And it
- 29:48Speaker 1: stayed for nine months. And when she said nine months,
- 29:49Speaker 1: I was like, oh my God, you had a baby?
- 29:51Speaker 1: But she didn't have a baby. In fact, I guess
- 29:53Speaker 1: technically the opposite. They lost weight together, which I was
- 29:57Speaker 1: happy for them. I was like, what are you doing?
- 29:59Speaker 1: Like getting up? Honey, you're just like counting your macros.
- 30:01Speaker 1: You're like going for a run. You're making smoothies together.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Is he like a training coach? Are you just like,
- 30:07Speaker 1: which is great because if you guys met at a bar,
- 30:10Speaker 1: I'm happy that your relationship isn't centered around drinking. That's healthy. Okay. Um, she's,
- 30:19Speaker 1: and we're like, okay, well, this sounds great. He's hot.
- 30:21Speaker 1: You know, you seem happy. We love your voice. She's
- 30:25Speaker 1: willing to give up her whole life, though, just to
- 30:27Speaker 1: move there. So, you know, I also was like, how
- 30:28Speaker 1: do you make money there? Do you flip cars there?
- 30:30Speaker 1: Do you bartend there? Okay. She's like, one thing, little caveat.
- 30:39Speaker 1: His dad is weird. He's just like, I don't know
- 30:43Speaker 1: how to say this, always obsessed with me. Or like, oh, no.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Asking me about, like, our sex life or like, blech.
- 30:51Speaker 1: We're also like, oh, that's why you're on the show then,
- 30:52Speaker 1: because that man has already signed a waiver saying that
- 30:55Speaker 1: he'll film. I think the producers were like, what does
- 30:59Speaker 1: he do? And then he was like, get the Ghana
- 31:02Speaker 1: translator on the phone. But I shouldn't say that because
- 31:05Speaker 1: that man speaks perfect English. Then he was like, get
- 31:07Speaker 1: Ghana producers to get in touch with that man, see
- 31:10Speaker 1: if he'll be on the show. So basically, she also
- 31:16Speaker 1: tells us a story where one night she... had gotten
- 31:21Speaker 1: in a fight with Felix and said she wanted to leave.
- 31:24Speaker 1: And so he and his dad came to her apartment
- 31:30Speaker 1: and stole all her stuff. But said it was a prank.
- 31:39Speaker 1: And that his stuff was just at his dad's house now.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Like the TV. Just a prank, though. So then she's like,
- 31:49Speaker 1: what are you... Okay. She's like, I'm going to leave. I,
- 31:52Speaker 1: this is crazy. And then Felix steals her passport. At
- 31:56Speaker 1: this point, I'm like, this is a horror movie. This is,
- 31:59Speaker 1: I don't have to tell you, this is literally a
- 32:02Speaker 1: feature film. I mean, that in the nineties would have
- 32:05Speaker 1: sold so much money, but now you can't really do it.
- 32:07Speaker 1: It's like not PC, but you know, really horrifying. This
- 32:10Speaker 1: is scary as fuck. Then she's like, but for some reason,
- 32:15Speaker 1: now that I'm back, I want to go, I He
- 32:20Speaker 1: loves me. So I'll get over the dad thing. We're like, what? What?
- 32:26Speaker 1: Where's Kira? Where's your daughter? No, no. No. Is Henry
- 32:32Speaker 1: going to go with you to Ghana? Did Henry ever
- 32:37Speaker 1: meet these people? Did Henry know them? Because if Henry's
- 32:40Speaker 1: only in like one country over, then why wouldn't Henry?
- 32:42Speaker 1: And you went to go visit him. Did Henry come
- 32:44Speaker 1: and hang out with them? Because I feel like I
- 32:51Speaker 1: want Henry to tell us like what's up. It's so interesting.
- 32:58Speaker 1: So then next shot, honey, we're with Felix and his
- 33:01Speaker 1: dad preaching because he is son of a preacher walking
- 33:08Speaker 1: around that village, delivering the Lord's word. And the dad
- 33:12Speaker 1: is like, you know, that was such a fun prank.
- 33:16Speaker 1: She doesn't understand in Mido and my culture. Lot of
- 33:21Speaker 1: fun cultures have a lot of fun pranks embedded as
- 33:25Speaker 1: the foundation of the culture is fun pranks. And you
- 33:31Speaker 1: have to love them. You have to. No matter how
- 33:35Speaker 1: extravagant or how weird or how like obviously con-like and
- 33:40Speaker 1: or stealing they seem. How dare you? You know what, son?
- 33:49Speaker 1: She offended not only the culture, but me. And I know,
- 33:56Speaker 1: as you know, the thing we do is that the elders,
- 34:00Speaker 1: which of course are the esteemed, respected people that no
- 34:04Speaker 1: one can ever question, can impose a fine. And I'm
- 34:11Speaker 1: going to find that bitch. One sheep. One sheep. Bah.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Because she's been bad. That's why. And the Felix hears
- 34:25Speaker 1: this and he's like, no, I don't, dad, I don't
- 34:27Speaker 1: think she's going to pay that cheap. I don't think so.
- 34:32Speaker 1: And the dad is like, oh, no, she has to.
- 34:35Speaker 1: She's American. She doesn't understand our culture. And guess what?
- 34:39Speaker 1: Our culture is this. And she must understand it. And
- 34:44Speaker 1: here is the thing. She is a female, and I
- 34:58Speaker 1: think you cannot expect an unmarried female to pay you anything.
- 35:11Speaker 1: If she is going to get married to your son,
- 35:15Speaker 1: then your son will have to buy you the sheep,
- 35:19Speaker 1: if that's how the culture is. You cannot ask an
- 35:24Speaker 1: unmarried woman to give you anything. Like, I think it's distasteful. Truly,
- 35:31Speaker 1: I think the prank thing is annoying, too, and I
- 35:34Speaker 1: would never, like, you know, yeah, I think this is crazy.
- 35:36Speaker 1: The thing about this, it gave a sway-loose mom to me.
- 35:42Speaker 1: The kind of money-hungry, like, weird, going-after, specifically... your son's
- 35:55Speaker 1: girlfriend's money or wife or fiance. If you're going to
- 36:01Speaker 1: go after your son's fiance for money, then to me,
- 36:04Speaker 1: you are not shit. You aren't shit. There's no reason
- 36:13Speaker 1: for it. Because even in those kinds of cultures, you
- 36:17Speaker 1: protect unmarried women that way. They wouldn't have the thing
- 36:20Speaker 1: to give you that. They wouldn't have the means to
- 36:22Speaker 1: give you that. And if you suppose they do, and
- 36:28Speaker 1: you enact that fee, then you are doing it because
- 36:32Speaker 1: you know they can. And then it's a moot point.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Because you're doing it because you want something. It has
- 36:40Speaker 1: no dignity to it. And anything about a deal is
- 36:44Speaker 1: whatever anyone believes in it. If there's no dignity to it,
- 36:47Speaker 1: why would she take part? The idea that she would
- 36:58Speaker 1: actually entertain this is ridiculous. And I wonder what her
- 37:05Speaker 1: dating life is in America. And I feel like that's
- 37:08Speaker 1: a whole other thing that I would love to explore.
- 37:11Speaker 1: I want her to have a week before she leaves
- 37:14Speaker 1: because I want her to have the meetings with her
- 37:17Speaker 1: daughter and her best friends. I want people to fill
- 37:22Speaker 1: us in on the gaps of her life because it
- 37:27Speaker 1: sure seems like she's putting herself in harm's way and
- 37:31Speaker 1: by people that might think of her as a source
- 37:40Speaker 1: for them. And I think that, unfortunately, a lot of
- 37:46Speaker 1: people that have experienced trauma kind of float from abusive
- 37:50Speaker 1: person to abusive person or abusive situation to abusive situation,
- 37:55Speaker 1: like jobs or institutions or whatever, where a certain amount
- 38:01Speaker 1: of how much they don't believe they deserve love is,
- 38:06Speaker 1: I guess, the penance they pay for enduring trauma. crappy
- 38:12Speaker 1: treatment or being made to feel less than, you know
- 38:16Speaker 1: what I'm saying? She, yeah, definitely said that she's had
- 38:20Speaker 1: bad taste in men before. And we're like, you know,
- 38:26Speaker 1: I wish, I mean, I was like, yeah, I don't
- 38:28Speaker 1: know if she has like a girl best friend that's like,
- 38:30Speaker 1: this isn't it, babe. Now you know that. I don't
- 38:36Speaker 1: know if she doesn't talk to, maybe she doesn't have
- 38:38Speaker 1: a lot of women in her life. Maybe she's one
- 38:39Speaker 1: of those kinds of women that like, I don't know,
- 38:42Speaker 1: I just have more guy friends, which is always kind
- 38:45Speaker 1: of a red flag for lots of reasons, mostly because
- 38:50Speaker 1: their situations they know aren't, I feel like would be
- 39:01Speaker 1: understanding to women that have their shit together is what
- 39:05Speaker 1: I think about that. So let's move on. Okay. Okay.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Final couple, my babes. Can you believe it? It's Andy
- 39:15Speaker 1: and Nigel. Oh my God. And someone, honey, it should
- 39:18Speaker 1: be a thropple. This whole time it should have been
- 39:20Speaker 1: a thropple. It should be like Andy, Nigel, and then
- 39:24Speaker 1: in the corner would have been like a mystery woman
- 39:26Speaker 1: with like a question mark, like who's, like where? in
- 39:30Speaker 1: the world Carmen Sandiego in or something like that. And
- 39:32Speaker 1: then this episode has been like, who is she? Who
- 39:35Speaker 1: is she? The girl, the girl, you know? And the
- 39:37Speaker 1: girl is Azriel, which Azriel is a great name. What
- 39:42Speaker 1: a fun name, Azriel. So let's go back though. Andy is...
- 39:48Speaker 1: putting on her Martha Stewart best, okay? She is in
- 39:53Speaker 1: the full cooking hostess frame. She is arranging cheese plates
- 40:00Speaker 1: and the cheese plates look great. I mean, they're uniform.
- 40:05Speaker 1: She's rolled the prosciutto. I mean, did she do any
- 40:08Speaker 1: salami roses? No, they're annoying. She didn't do them. It's fine.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Would I have maybe seen if I could have undone
- 40:14Speaker 1: the plastic containers into like little ramekins?
- 40:17Speaker 2: Yes.
- 40:17Speaker 1: However, you can see she used some ramekins and maybe
- 40:20Speaker 1: this asshole only had that one. He probably stole that
- 40:23Speaker 1: one in the foreground with the olives from one restaurant once.
- 40:27Speaker 1: So she did the best she could do. And yeah,
- 40:29Speaker 1: she halved the breeze and she like, they're adorable. They're great.
- 40:33Speaker 1: He's like, can we eat all this? She's like, yes.
- 40:34Speaker 1: You're hungry ass, cheap ass friends? Yeah. So she's a
- 40:42Speaker 1: giver in every way. And I almost feel like there's
- 40:46Speaker 1: a part of Andy that's like, oh, I get to
- 40:50Speaker 1: meet all his friends at his house. He is, you know,
- 40:53Speaker 1: an E & M guy. I have to meet Azriel.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I'm going to show the fuck up, look gorgeous. Be like,
- 41:04Speaker 1: these cheese plates? Don't mind me, I'm Andy. I'm just like,
- 41:07Speaker 1: you know, drinking, having fun, getting to know people. Yeah,
- 41:11Speaker 1: I have the breeze, of course. Yeah, I took off
- 41:14Speaker 1: all the plastic. I bet I could. This asshole doesn't
- 41:17Speaker 1: have any ramekins, yeah. But if I get here, like,
- 41:19Speaker 1: you know, like if I stay, if this works out,
- 41:22Speaker 1: I'm going to turn the fuck out when we have parties.
- 41:26Speaker 1: That's what you can expect. Why? Because I'm better than him.
- 41:30Speaker 1: His friend knows it, Chris. I can't, I, it's funny
- 41:33Speaker 1: because there's the question of Asriel. But if you remember,
- 41:40Speaker 1: he has a friend named Chris, like I remember because
- 41:43Speaker 1: it's my name. That is, in my eyes, mildly obsessed
- 41:49Speaker 1: with Andy. Because he's like, I met Andy and was like, wow,
- 41:55Speaker 1: I like her. And then I was like, wait, you're
- 41:57Speaker 1: with Nigel? And I... Need Chris to see Andy being
- 42:07Speaker 1: mistreated or cast asunder or not cared for the way
- 42:11Speaker 1: that Chris knows he could in real time at this
- 42:15Speaker 1: party so that he can just swipe in. Sweep in?
- 42:22Speaker 1: Swipe in? Sweep in. Sweep the fuck in like the
- 42:29Speaker 1: Santa Ana winds, honey. Off her feet, be like, I
- 42:34Speaker 1: love these cheese plates. Hey, I have a little banjo
- 42:38Speaker 1: set up over there. Do you want to jam together?
- 42:41Speaker 1: I've been writing some songs. Here's one.
- 42:47Speaker 2: I'm wondering if this red-haired beauty is wandering away from
- 42:55Speaker 2: her man. She's like, that sounds familiar. It sounds like
- 42:57Speaker 2: the song I wrote for 90s.
- 42:58Speaker 1: He's like, no, no, no, no, no. That's my song. Baby.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Baby.
- 43:01Speaker 1: We must have one mind. You're like, Chris, you're creepy.
- 43:04Speaker 1: That's what I want to see. You know what I'm saying? Like,
- 43:06Speaker 1: I want to see that, but I'll tell you what
- 43:07Speaker 1: we see instead. It's Haram, Andy, being like, okay, well,
- 43:14Speaker 1: let's just see who's going to show up at this party.
- 43:17Speaker 1: And who shows up is person after person. At one point,
- 43:20Speaker 1: Two girls in statement coats. One's red. It's furry with
- 43:24Speaker 1: like an evil eye on it. The other one's pink.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Like a leopard print heart or something. I don't know.
- 43:31Speaker 1: They got the coats together. Do they sell the coats?
- 43:34Speaker 1: I don't know how hot it is or cold it is.
- 43:36Speaker 1: The coats were interesting. But she's meeting every single person
- 43:41Speaker 1: here being like, hi, what's your name? Oh, okay. I'm Andy. Hi,
- 43:46Speaker 1: I'm Andy. What's your name? Oh, okay. That's cool. Hi,
- 43:50Speaker 1: I'm anyone's name. Hi. Oh, Mark. Okay. Oh, meeting everyone here.
- 43:55Speaker 1: So many people, so many names. So, so many names
- 43:58Speaker 1: I've already heard before in my life or don't care about.
- 44:01Speaker 1: And then she's chomping down and in the fucking ether,
- 44:09Speaker 1: she hears Asriel, Asriel, Asriel. And then she looks over
- 44:22Speaker 1: and it's this girl, this demure kind of pixie looking
- 44:31Speaker 1: kind of down for a handstand kind of girl, pigtails, braids,
- 44:44Speaker 1: bright eyed, petite, Always probably down. Not because she's petite.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Because her purse, like, you know, probably down for whatever.
- 45:00Speaker 1: All the time. That's the kind of like vibe. Just like, yeah. What? Okay. Sure. What?
- 45:07Speaker 1: I'll be there. Yeah. Like just never questions, never has
- 45:14Speaker 1: a hard opinion. is easy as fuck. Go with the
- 45:22Speaker 1: goddamn flow. And I'll tell you, to my core, I
- 45:27Speaker 1: have never been like that. Never. The panic or anxiety
- 45:36Speaker 1: that resides in me because of whatever I said earlier
- 45:39Speaker 1: about trauma or whatever that, you know, so that my
- 45:43Speaker 1: thoughts go too fast of like, no, I don't want
- 45:46Speaker 1: to do that. Will I do that? Will I be
- 45:47Speaker 1: comfortable there? Will that be good for me? I don't
- 45:48Speaker 1: know if I want to do that. Is someone going
- 45:49Speaker 1: to protect me from that? I'm not going to be
- 45:51Speaker 1: safe there. It's like too many of those thoughts happen
- 45:54Speaker 1: where I start to tense and then go through those
- 45:57Speaker 1: thoughts and then have to solve the problems in real
- 46:00Speaker 1: time and then weigh the pros and cons to see
- 46:02Speaker 1: if I can say yes to the thing that one
- 46:06Speaker 1: second ago now, which is a long time in time, time,
- 46:10Speaker 1: has been asked of me, and I'm supposed to give
- 46:13Speaker 1: an answer. And now I'm self-conscious because I'm reading that
- 46:16Speaker 1: I didn't give an immediate answer and that any answer
- 46:19Speaker 1: now would have, of course, looked measured and weighed. There
- 46:29Speaker 1: are so many different types in this world. God bless
- 46:33Speaker 1: us all. So anyway, she indeed looks over and there
- 46:39Speaker 1: he is. I'm sorry, there she is. Now, Nigel knows
- 46:44Speaker 1: that she's anxious, right? She was like, I am getting anxious.
- 46:48Speaker 1: And he did try to kiss her, and she did
- 46:50Speaker 1: feel comfort in that moment. So she, in that moment
- 46:52Speaker 1: when he gave her that, was sort of like, okay,
- 46:55Speaker 1: he gets it. I'm nervous because I have to meet Asriel.
- 46:58Speaker 1: He's on my side. He's my partner. Why wouldn't he
- 47:01Speaker 1: be with me first when she comes and kind of
- 47:03Speaker 1: facilitate that? That seems what he would do because his
- 47:07Speaker 1: first priority would be me in that situation. But when she...
- 47:11Speaker 1: hears Azriel's name, she looks over and Nigel's by her.
- 47:14Speaker 1: She realizes Nigel isn't looking for Andy. Isn't like, let
- 47:20Speaker 1: me introduce you, Azriel, to my girlfriend. The reason why
- 47:24Speaker 1: I'm having this party.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Instead, is.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Like, Azriel, let me take you and your other pixie
- 47:32Speaker 1: manic friend upstairs and we'll get drinks. I'll show off
- 47:36Speaker 1: the cheese board and not tell you Andy did it.
- 47:41Speaker 1: I'm Nigel. I, Andy like dies inside a little bit
- 47:52Speaker 1: watching them walk up the steps. And I feel like
- 47:57Speaker 1: in her mind, she's like, I want the earth to
- 47:59Speaker 1: open and swallow me whole. And I want to be like,
- 48:03Speaker 1: get out. It is like for more or less a
- 48:06Speaker 1: lesson version of the Jordan Peele thing. It's like, get
- 48:08Speaker 1: out on Obviously not race-based, but in this like, get out, girl.
- 48:14Speaker 1: This is not for you. You hate this. Are you insane? Okay.
- 48:23Speaker 1: I love knowing that Andy, spoiler alert, she did this though,
- 48:32Speaker 1: Shirley is on Tinder in Nashville currently. People have seen
- 48:36Speaker 1: her on the app and she Put up what she's
- 48:39Speaker 1: looking for. Now, certain people, like me, have screenshotted it,
- 48:47Speaker 1: and I want to read it to you. Because I'm what?
- 48:51Speaker 1: A friend. This is on my Instagram and my TikTok,
- 48:59Speaker 1: at Chris L. Farah, if you want to go see.
- 49:01Speaker 1: You're welcome. Also, remember, I have a live on YouTube coming,
- 49:04Speaker 1: so it's Wednesday, 6 p.m. I'm 100% ready to be, oh, sorry, Andy, 41.
- 49:13Speaker 1: I'm not 100% ready to be in a relationship. But
- 49:16Speaker 1: of course, a life partner is the long-term goal. Would
- 49:21Speaker 1: love to find a friend with benefits for now. Someone
- 49:24Speaker 1: passionate and sweet, can play in love energy, and doesn't
- 49:30Speaker 1: mind that I have very little free time. Always open
- 49:34Speaker 1: to love developing, but not not able to put my
- 49:42Speaker 1: whole heart into something at this moment. About me, spiritually minded,
- 49:47Speaker 1: nature loving, astrology following, country girl at heart, tall, animated, fun,
- 49:52Speaker 1: but also pretty serious. Nothing about the cheese plates. Babes.
- 50:01Speaker 1: People are like, spoiler alert, or like NDA. I'm like,
- 50:03Speaker 1: the way she worded it, she could technically still be
- 50:07Speaker 1: with Nigel. And they, and this is just her like,
- 50:11Speaker 1: you know, American plaything on the side or she's going
- 50:14Speaker 1: to go back, you know, I don't know. Because she
- 50:17Speaker 1: might just be like, well, I don't know if he's
- 50:20Speaker 1: my soulmate or my spiritual life mate, but she might
- 50:22Speaker 1: still be with him too. I mean, not quite sure
- 50:24Speaker 1: because she's not ready to be in a relationship 100%.
- 50:27Speaker 1: And maybe in her mind, that's monogamous. I don't know.
- 50:31Speaker 1: All right, my loves. Let's talk. If you haven't yet,
- 50:36Speaker 1: please give this podcast, a little nice itch. I'm coming
- 50:41Speaker 1: up on my one year birthday for Vanity Fair and
- 50:45Speaker 1: I'm very excited about a month away. So I'm going
- 50:49Speaker 1: to be doing some fun things for that. That is that,
- 50:55Speaker 1: including some restructuring of my Patreon.
- 50:58Speaker 3: Right now it's $ 5. It's one little tier, $ 5 for
- 51:01Speaker 3: this whole year. And it's, of course, patreon.com slash chrisferra.
- 51:09Speaker 3: And at the same time, I said I'm doing a
- 51:13Speaker 3: live on YouTube. It's this Wednesday, 6 p.m. It's the
- 51:17Speaker 3: 28th at, again, 6 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
- 51:22Speaker 1: And we'll talk night and day and Halloween stuff and
- 51:25Speaker 1: pop culture stuff. You can also follow me on the Instagram,
- 51:30Speaker 1: the TikTok. I am at chrislferra there. And you can
- 51:34Speaker 1: see those snapshots of Andy's Tinder profile up close and
- 51:38Speaker 1: personal and some other fun things. Also the Facebook group
- 51:42Speaker 1: Vanity Fair. When I go live, I always post there
- 51:46Speaker 1: and Chris Farah, the page also goes live. Of course, YouTube,
- 51:50Speaker 1: Chris Farah is where you have to search. There are
- 51:52Speaker 1: so many things. I know that's it. I appreciate you guys. Okay.
- 51:56Speaker 1: I really do. I hope you are living your best lives.
- 51:58Speaker 1: Hand to heart. Let's breathe together and I'll let you
- 52:01Speaker 1: guys go. Okay. Okay. All right, babes. Take care of
- 52:22Speaker 1: yourselves and one another. Stand up for what you believe
- 52:25Speaker 1: and make art. And remember that you are your own source.
- 52:30Speaker 1: You are your own source. That's why you breathe. It's
- 52:33Speaker 1: why you touch grass. It's why you're present because this
- 52:36Speaker 1: is where you get it. I don't know exactly what
- 52:39Speaker 1: happens after that, but I know that part for you. Okay,
- 52:42Speaker 1: my loves? Bye.
