- 1:33I was, I was, I was love enthusiasm there.
- 1:36I'm going to lose my brain. Can my brain stick out of my
- 1:39ear? I could I pull my brain out of
- 1:41my ear? I don't know.
- 1:42Anyways, I would have to have a special, you know, magician
- 1:46move. I I can't pull his handkerchiefs
- 1:47out of my ear. ANYWAYS, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:50he's been working. He's been doing so many things
- 1:53with the New York Mets. He's also an Army public
- 1:57announcer for Army football. We love him.
- 1:59He's been on a show before before, and he's got a great
- 2:02personality. The grandson of Howard Cosell.
- 2:07We're now talking to New York Mets, an Army football public
- 2:10addresser, the one the own Colin Cosell.
- 2:16What's up, man? That is, that's an intro, man, I
- 2:20needed that. I needed that boost right now.
- 2:22It's been a travel nightmare day.
- 2:23I don't think I need to talk about what happened in sports
- 2:25yesterday. And to top it all off, I'm a
- 2:27Jets fan and for some reason Uber refuses to pick me up.
- 2:30So I'm happily calling in for my new home here at LaGuardia and
- 2:34happy to be back on. Love you guys, thanks for your
- 2:35patience. Absolutely.
- 2:37And LaGuardia Airport. I'm actually going to be at
- 2:39LaGuardia Airport in just a few days.
- 2:42I'm going to be flying to Florida to go to a wedding.
- 2:45I actually love what they did with LaGuardia Airport.
- 2:47They redid the whole place. It's beautiful.
- 2:50I it's just very loud over there.
- 2:52The people are crazy and at night time, at this particular
- 2:56time, you better be careful. I hope you're, you know, around
- 2:59security. There are some crazy people over
- 3:01there. They're they they're.
- 3:03At this point it's fine. The the day I'm having
- 3:05everything they just come get me.
- 3:07It's fine if anyone's listening and they really need to get it
- 3:09out of their system and like go on a on a murderous rampage like
- 3:12I'm here, I'm ready for you. And at the rate I'm going right
- 3:15now, bro, I swear I'll be here when you get here in a few days.
- 3:18So I'll high 5 you on your way into security and give you some
- 3:20pointers. Well, I I will be there.
- 3:23So I hope I don't see you over there because then I think
- 3:26there's something going on over there.
- 3:27There's something wrong with, you know, whoever family members
- 3:31can't pick you up, somebody's got to pick you up.
- 3:33I Colin, if nobody picks you up by the end of the show, I'll
- 3:35come and pick you up. I'll pick you up.
- 3:37I'll take you done. Done deal.
- 3:39Love that I'm telling perfect that will give you the the top
- 3:42Uber rate and everything. I'm telling you, you don't even
- 3:43need them. Five star rating.
- 3:45Hook you up if you need a if you need a ride, I'll drive to
- 3:48LaGuardia. It's it's about 45 minutes from
- 3:50me. I'll hook you up man.
- 3:52I can help you at the rate. Uber is going right now and if
- 3:55anyone of your listeners works for Uber, I hope that goes
- 3:57straight to hell. But the the way they've done me
- 4:01dirty tonight is just it's unfathomable so, but luckily I
- 4:05love LaGuardia. I love this airport.
- 4:07It is a little crazy, but it's gorgeous and it's my kind of
- 4:10crazy and I travel all the time, every week, so it's become kind
- 4:14of a second home and I just can't seem to get an Uber.
- 4:16By the way. But my wife did.
- 4:18By the way, that Tyree kill injury was ugly.
- 4:21It was absolutely ugly. We will.
- 4:24Get in. I haven't seen it.
- 4:25Oh, it's ugly. Oh, it's so bad to watch fishers
- 4:29say four to six weeks. I think it's a lot worse than
- 4:31that. I know the injuries would tell
- 4:33you it's only four to six weeks. That looked a lot worse.
- 4:37And I, I as a fan, if you're a Dolphin fan, you don't want to
- 4:40see something like that. But nevertheless, Collin, let's
- 4:42get into New York Mets baseball. Because if you're a Met fan,
- 4:47which I know you are, and I know a lot of Met fans are probably
- 4:50listening to this segment right now, there's a lot of questions
- 4:53with this team and going into the offseason.
- 4:56They added one soda. They paid him a $768 million
- 5:00contract. They didn't really extend Pete
- 5:02Alonso the way they should. They gave him a three-year deal
- 5:04which he can opt out of the first year.
- 5:06He really played his way into this contract, hopefully to win.
- 5:11We didn't lose Colin. Colin, are you gone?
- 5:13Did we lose him? He's still in the feed.
- 5:14OK. All right.
- 5:16I just want to make sure that we still have him.
- 5:19Yeah, he said. He said it.
- 5:20He said his wife found a Uber. Oh, oh good, his wife found an
- 5:24Uber. So he'll, he'll be sitting in
- 5:26Uber right now when he's doing this interview.
- 5:28So this will be fun. Colin, your thoughts?
- 5:32No, I'm, I'm still, I'm still with you guys.
- 5:34I'm just juggling this nightmare.
- 5:36But I'm my my thoughts on it is, look, it was a snake bitten
- 5:39season. You know, Soto is one of those
- 5:42characters. He's he's an interesting
- 5:43personality. He needs to just kind of ease
- 5:45his way into this kind of a team.
- 5:47Whereas he had a kind of a 1-2 punch with with Judge Soto.
- 5:53I don't think it's the problem. I think there was no fight.
- 5:56There was no drive in this team. You know, last year we were kind
- 5:58of a meme team, but there was fun, there was excitement and
- 6:00there was drive. This year it was completely
- 6:02lacking. No come from behind wins that I
- 6:04can think of in the 9th inning. Whereas it's a team like the
- 6:07Blue Jays had over 45 in this season.
- 6:10Like that's that's a team that can go off and go on a tear.
- 6:13Not the team that the New York Mets put out this year.
- 6:15They'll tell you pitching injuries.
- 6:17We tried to put together a rotation of players who were
- 6:21trying to reinvent and resurrect their careers much like they did
- 6:23last year. It worked well last year, it
- 6:25didn't work this year. It was the understanding that
- 6:27Manaya and Sanga were going to come back after the All Star
- 6:30break and we're going to be healthy again, or at least for a
- 6:33late season push. That did not happen either.
- 6:37The middle relievers got 2 stretched thin and it was, you
- 6:41know, any lead we had was never safe as a result.
- 6:44And it was just a perfect storm of things.
- 6:45It was just one of those things where I, I saw the writing of
- 6:48the wall back in June and I was like, there's a distinct
- 6:51possibility that we're not going to win.
- 6:54Had enough games to make the playoffs.
- 6:56And lo and behold, it came down to that final game.
- 6:59But it just had that. There was something about it
- 7:01where they're just, it didn't have that excitement or that
- 7:04push. It came in in flashes, but it
- 7:06was never consistent. And does does it not bother you
- 7:09that Juan Soto after the game was speaking to the media and he
- 7:14he just kind of pushed it on the pitching?
- 7:16He didn't even, he didn't even say, yo, I'm taking full
- 7:18responsibility. I didn't hit in the last two
- 7:21games. He said, you know what, the
- 7:22pitching started strong this year and then we had injuries.
- 7:26He was trying to make excuses. Are you surprised Juan Soto
- 7:29would do something like that? I mean, listen in, in the
- 7:32moment, right now, this is a team that's extremely frustrated
- 7:35and with good reason. You know, the the hopes were
- 7:37through the roof, were 21 games over 500 in June, and it seemed
- 7:42like all things were going in the right direction.
- 7:44So listen, right now the wound is very, very fresh for all of
- 7:47us. It's, you know, barely 24 hours
- 7:49old. So players are going to talk.
- 7:51Sometimes Soto is not the best at addressing the media.
- 7:55Do you know what I'm saying? Like sometimes he's one of those
- 7:57players where something will come out and it may come
- 8:00straight from the heart, but it doesn't read well in the press.
- 8:03So I I don't know, I think we're all screaming at our pillows
- 8:08today, last night, all night, all, all morning in in different
- 8:13ways. We're dealing with it in
- 8:15different ways. And he went from going to the
- 8:17World Series last year with the other New York team to missing
- 8:20the playoffs by one game this year.
- 8:22He's the human being. He's going to be frustrated and
- 8:24I get it. He had a 30 for 30 season.
- 8:27He was a rock when we needed him.
- 8:29He was probably he and Lindor at times.
- 8:32Lindor and Alonzo had flashes, but they never really gelled
- 8:35where all of them were clicking all at once.
- 8:38It was one player or another. And again, you need all those
- 8:41things to come together consistently and the
- 8:42inconsistency and the injuries and the exhaustion of it all and
- 8:46the lack of drive. That's why we're looking at an
- 8:50empty Citi Field here at LaGuardia right now, 19. 93
- 8:53obviously 2007, the most historic 193, obviously the
- 8:56worst team money could buy book came out.
- 8:58And then this year like comparatively like expectations
- 9:01wise, do you think that kind of thing is very similar and you
- 9:03being there all the time? Like what were a lot of the fan
- 9:05reaction? No, it was different because
- 9:07this was a slow burn. You know, again, if you were
- 9:09paying close attention, you could see this was going to
- 9:11happen in June unless people started to get healthy.
- 9:15And so I honestly, this, this was a free fall where it was
- 9:19like one month of pure hell. And, you know, everything just
- 9:22evaporated like it did in an O7 or O8, that would be a different
- 9:26story. But this this was a slow,
- 9:29precipitous fall to where they ended up.
- 9:32And again, if anyone was paying attention, you could do it just
- 9:37by looking at the headlines on the back pages and newspapers
- 9:40here in New York. If the Mets are making
- 9:42headlines, it's because they're either doing really, really well
- 9:46or doing terribly. And at this point, you know,
- 9:49they did not get a single headline in the month of
- 9:51September until yesterday or until this morning.
- 9:54Before that, it was when they were on fire.
- 9:56So, you know, I don't know, man, it's, it's tough.
- 10:00I I think I'm handling it better than most because I was so
- 10:04prepared for this, but it doesn't make it any easier.
- 10:09Yeah, Colin, like now they've obviously said Mendoza is going
- 10:12to stay, but they're going to do a review of the rest of the
- 10:15staff. What does, what does the review
- 10:18mean? We've all heard it before.
- 10:19Obviously, usually there's the scapegoat, which is usually the
- 10:22manager, but they're standing by him and Stearns came out and
- 10:25said they're going to do a review of the staff.
- 10:27Is that like seeing like, hey, we're not getting rid of
- 10:30everybody, but we're going to see if we can put this on
- 10:32something else? It just, it was kind of weird
- 10:34because it was backwards to me. It's it's definitely a unique
- 10:38situation. I think they really love Mendy
- 10:41and I think there's a few things he needs to tweak as a manager
- 10:44in handling certain pitching situations.
- 10:46But they love him, the players love him.
- 10:48We have a strong Latin contingency on this team and he
- 10:51is phenomenal with all of them. He is a great world ambassador
- 10:55as a manager and I think they I, I appreciate the fact that he
- 11:00didn't put the ball in him. I would have changed hitting
- 11:03coaches mid season, to be honest.
- 11:05I would have shaken things up internally a little bit more as
- 11:08the season was progressing as the bats were getting cold.
- 11:11Something to shake up the team a little bit.
- 11:14And you're not going to, you know, you can't change the the
- 11:17engine in the car while you're driving down the highway at 80,
- 11:20but you you can, you can change the radio station and change the
- 11:23vibe a little bit in the car while you're dealing with a
- 11:26faulty engine. So I don't know if that if if
- 11:30that makes sense because Java, you've been through it as as a
- 11:33player, like you know better better than anyone, you know,
- 11:35the insurance and outs. But I mean, like, does that,
- 11:38does that kind of make sense from a player's perspective?
- 11:41Yeah, it was, but it's usually the scapegoat like we saw,
- 11:44remember with Tito and the chicken and beer or whatever,
- 11:47but there was a scapegoat for that.
- 11:49And it was obviously Tito. But for me, it's like obviously
- 11:52understanding the culture of that clubhouse and Mindy,
- 11:55obviously I, I knew him from the minor leagues and and that
- 11:58stuff. So I didn't know him at this
- 12:00level, but he seems like there there are some things that he
- 12:03could obviously the pitching is 1 in in finding what they could
- 12:07do. But yeah, it just was it was
- 12:09just a little weird because it's it felt a little backwards
- 12:12because it's usually let's either all or nothing instead of
- 12:16just like piercing it together. And are they going to keep the,
- 12:19you know, hitting quarter now they're going to do it all the
- 12:21way down from the bottom as far as Rovers and coordinators or is
- 12:25it just the big league staff? So that that that'll be
- 12:27interesting for me. Well, and I, I think the other
- 12:30part of it is we've had such a revolving door of managers, it
- 12:34starts to become a good look, no matter how good the vibes are or
- 12:37the culture is within the Mets now with the new ownership and
- 12:40the approach to everything. If you're if you're getting rid
- 12:43of a manager after one Goodyear, one bad year, I mean, what that
- 12:46look what they did to Buck Showalter, for God's sake.
- 12:49And granted, do I think the game has passed him by?
- 12:51Absolutely. But you win manager of the year
- 12:53and then you're fired. You know, it's a it's a bad look
- 12:56and it sets a bad precedent for other possible managers he might
- 12:59want. And Mendy is a home grown actual
- 13:04major, you know, Major League manager now because of the Mets
- 13:08and with his team, he's no longer a bench coach like he was
- 13:10with the Yankees. So I think they want to see this
- 13:14through and I don't think they want to set a bad precedent for
- 13:18any future managers that might come down the pipeline should it
- 13:21come to that. There's a lot of positives to go
- 13:24into the offseason, but there are also many negatives.
- 13:29And Collin is a Mets fan, so he is going to stand by his Mets.
- 13:32He always does. Collin's been with the Mets for
- 13:34a while, so he's seen it all. He's seen many different
- 13:38managers, many different executives and the Wilpons, two
- 13:41different owners. Now, we know Steve Cohen likes
- 13:44to open up his pockets. We know the Wilpons.
- 13:46We called him the check. What do we call them?
- 13:48The coupons? The coupons, We call them the
- 13:50coupons, the burnt checks. You know, they were, they were
- 13:53an organ. They they at that time, the
- 13:55organization made a lot of mistakes, but at least they're
- 13:58opening up their pockets. And Collins, one of those guys
- 14:01that would tell you the Mets are in a good position because
- 14:03they're actually doing the right thing for the fans.
- 14:06But when you have Juan Soto and you have these personalities and
- 14:10you have Lindor, you want to see more from your team.
- 14:13And I don't think you've seen enough from the Mets.
- 14:16You you haven't seen enough when you have a talent like the how,
- 14:19what is there when you look at the Lindor and Juan Soda, how
- 14:22much money is invested? That's over a billion dollars.
- 14:25That's over a billion dollars for two players. 2 So if you're
- 14:30a Mets fan, Collins going to be he's going to try to find a way
- 14:33to beat it, find a way to beat around the Bush because he's he
- 14:36works for the Mets. I'm not going to beat around the
- 14:39Bush. This is an organization that
- 14:41absolutely should have made the playoffs.
- 14:43They choked. And by the way, Keith, you, you,
- 14:47you like to attack my my thoughts and everything after
- 14:50you show up on YouTube. Hey, how is the gremlin doing?
- 14:54By the way, how is this game changing corner wide receiver
- 14:59doing in the NFLI Got one for you.
- 15:01I'll show you something all all you people can buy this jersey
- 15:05in the future. Here it is.
- 15:07Ready. Look the Gremlin.
- 15:10Look at that. All right?
- 15:12The Gremlin. I got my Gremlin jersey.
- 15:15He stinks. All they were talking about this
- 15:18weekend is the one catch he made.
- 15:20OK, That what? 20 yard catch finally got to go
- 15:23100 yards. This guy has four games and he
- 15:27only has 118 yards. Four games.
- 15:31Keith, you said he's a game changing player.
- 15:34Yeah, game changing my ass. He's going to be on He'll be in
- 15:37the new movie Gremlins 3 because they're making a new movie.
- 15:41So that's about it. He should be a starring role on
- 15:43that because he can't catch a football and he can't defend as
- 15:46much as you think he can. What a what a Crockett, by the
- 15:49way, they made the right choice going with Abdul Carter because
- 15:53if they went with Travis Hunter, I think Joe Shane would have
- 15:55lost his job already. He would have been gone.
- 15:57Collins, one of those great personalities and I, I just, I
- 16:01have a lot of respect for what he does.
- 16:03And, and when you, when you talk about a guy, this guy used to
- 16:06run a bar in Queens. And this is Colin Cosell.
- 16:10This is Howard Cosell's grandson.
- 16:12And he finally got a, a job that he, he, he's been working so
- 16:16hard to get with the Mets. He grew up a Met fan, a die hard
- 16:19Met fan. And by the way, Howard Cosell
- 16:21was a big Met fan, a die hard Met fan.
- 16:23He also liked the Yankees too. He was a very close friend of
- 16:26George Steinbrenner. Colin told you the story about
- 16:29him and and George Steinbruns so.
- 16:31He was mentioning like he was one of the first, like original
- 16:33when the Mets became a nice mansion team, Yeah.
- 16:35So I like Colin and I think Colin is a great person and he
- 16:39loves us. He really loves our show.
- 16:42And he says that this is this is a show that you you definitely
- 16:45get attached to because of the craziness.
- 16:48And I appreciate Colin, all the work that he does and and all
- 16:51the time that he puts in to the back end of stuff that he does
- 16:55is pretty incredible. Anyways, we're going to go right
- 16:57in to speedy Stat of the Week. The speedy, well, you may run
- 17:04like me, but you hit like Stat of the week.
- 17:08Breaking news, I need Brittany also.
- 17:11We'll shift to some football for a little bit.
- 17:13For right now, I'm going to actually go to some pass rushers
- 17:16this week. The stat that I'm going to focus
- 17:18on is how fast one got to the quarterback and there was a
- 17:22record today or last week or with the fastest stat sack ever,
- 17:29which was Jeffrey Simmons got to CJ Stroud literally untouched in
- 17:332.09 seconds. So since since 2016, which is
- 17:38when next Gen. stat started is the fastest sack ever.
- 17:41And then also collectively, Jared Verse had three pressures
- 17:46total that were under 2.4 seconds and he is the youngest
- 17:50player to accomplish those things.
- 17:52So 2 very fast guys. One of the defensive tackle, we
- 17:55talked about how fast Dexter Lawrence was running before,
- 17:57Jeffrey Simmons getting to the quarterback fast and then Jared
- 17:59Verse really showing his speed in.
- 18:00Those I love Jared Verse, you know, he's a Florida State guy,
- 18:03so he's a Seminole. So I Rudolph, I Rudolph him and
- 18:07Fisk. Those two guys played for a team
- 18:10that should have been in a national title game and
- 18:13everybody says, well, look what George Georgia did to them.
- 18:15And I again, they didn't play any of their star defensive
- 18:19players when they play Georgia after they got eliminated from
- 18:23the four team, you know, playoff, they all the guys
- 18:27decided not to play in the final game against Georgia and the
- 18:29Bulldogs absolutely ran over them if first played in the
- 18:33talent that they had on that defense, which was the best in
- 18:35the world, best in the country. I said best in the world because
- 18:38it was best in the country. I think it would have been a
- 18:40different game, but I'm not surprised.
- 18:43Jarrett Verse is a beast. Dexter Lawrence is a beast, too.
- 18:46We've seen a lot of craziness over the last couple of weeks of
- 18:49these defensive lineman running and blocking and doing all these
- 18:53crazy things. It's it's pretty remarkable.
- 18:57This your defensive lineman? Any thoughts?
- 18:59Well, I'll tell you this. It's it's about how much time a
- 19:04secondary has to cover you when I'm the offensive coach.
- 19:07So I'm always trying to get time.
- 19:08What's bad about that is when you face a guy that can get
- 19:11there in under 3 seconds, if the guy gets there in under 3
- 19:14seconds, you're not throwing anything other than West Coast,
- 19:17you know, three-step drop, automatic come out passes and
- 19:20you can't really do that effectively in the NFL in
- 19:23today's day and age. So it's real tough to go against
- 19:26guys like that. You got to you love to see it.
- 19:28The Jeffrey Simmons 1 was just ridiculous.
- 19:31Says a lot about the Texans offensive line and I would say
- 19:33offensive line coach that that happened.
- 19:36But Jeffrey Simmons if, if Dexter Lawrence isn't the best
- 19:40nose tackle in the league, it's because Jeffrey Simmons is
- 19:43because I would say the two of them are 1/2.
- 19:45It's they, they're both that incredible for sure.
- 19:49I will say this, The Jets front 7 is looking like a bunch of
- 19:53miniature Pinschers. OK, they're getting this Chang
- 19:56kid is running all over him. It's embarrassing.
- 19:59It's embarrassing. They should be ashamed of
- 20:00themselves letting this guy run the way he is.
- 20:03They know what they're doing and they can't stop it.
- 20:05They cannot stop it. He's been getting the ball.
- 20:08He'll get the ball again. Here he goes again.
- 20:10Where is the defense? Nowhere to be found.
- 20:13It's just it's it's embarrassing.
- 20:14They're an embarrassment. This is an embarrassing game to
- 20:17go on national television and not stop the 1 weapon that they
- 20:21have right now and it's embarrassing.
- 20:23I'm just. They're getting they're getting
- 20:24pushed off the ball arrow. That's the scary part.
- 20:27I thought this Jets defense was supposed to be Smash Mouth and
- 20:29that look, the Dolphins are rated pretty highly as a run
- 20:32blocking offensive line, but they're just killing them right
- 20:36now. And it looks like McDaniel is in
- 20:38his bag and for some reason, even without Tyree kill able to
- 20:42do this. But we'll talk plenty about The
- 20:43Jets on Wednesday's show. We got a bunch of games that we
- 20:47got to whip around and cover right now.
- 20:49Yum. Yum.
- 20:50Do you want to whip, whip, whip, whip around?
- 20:55I want to hit it. I bet you do, Nathan.
- 20:58Well, so did Jerry Jones when he was talking about, you know,
- 21:01this game coming on up. He really wanted it.
- 21:04So did Micah Parsons end the story?
- 21:084040 tie. What a strange, strange football
- 21:14game. It was like 14 to 2 at one point
- 21:18in this game and it just, it just didn't make any sense.
- 21:23You get a lot of offense. You get Dak Prescott throwing 2
- 21:26touchdowns and 130 yards to George Pickens.
- 21:29One of them was just a jump ball and double coverage and Pickens
- 21:32went up and got it. There was not a lot of defense
- 21:35and this is a Packers team that we thought was going to be
- 21:38better defensively with Micah Parsons.
- 21:40You talked about it earlier, despite the sack that was given
- 21:43to him at the end of the game, not much of a factor.
- 21:45Neither was Rashawn Gary on the other side, who was supposed
- 21:49who's been having a really good season, is still leading the NFL
- 21:51in sacks despite not getting on the board in the game.
- 21:54But they couldn't do it. But of course, Jerry's team
- 21:57couldn't pull it out either. Guys, what do we make of First
- 22:02off, we know the Cowboys defense is horrendous, but what do we
- 22:06make of this Packers team right now because they are not playing
- 22:08the way we thought coming into the season?
- 22:10Back-to-back leaks, they haven't looked good and and again, after
- 22:13knocking off the Lions and showing up on national
- 22:16television and just completely pulverizing clothes lining the
- 22:21the Lions, the Detroit Lions, they have not been the same
- 22:23team. Here's the problem.
- 22:25Jordan Love looked good. The quarterback play for DAC and
- 22:28Jordan Love were sensational. They're running games.
- 22:31We're pretty damn good. Both running games.
- 22:32We're good. Williams look good and obviously
- 22:35Jacobs look good. The problem right now with the
- 22:38Packers is their front 7 have not been that good.
- 22:41They're not blocking. They're not doing the things
- 22:43that they're supposed to do. And Michael Parsons, when it
- 22:46comes down to the big game, I'll say this again, he knew on
- 22:50national television that everybody was going to watch him
- 22:52and everybody wanted to see him murder Jerry Jones and the
- 22:56Dallas Cowboys. And he didn't even show up.
- 22:59He looked like he didn't even show up to the game.
- 23:01It was like his head was so far up Jerry Jones's ass and he
- 23:06looked like a shell of himself. He got that sack.
- 23:09To me, that was not a sack. I'm sorry.
- 23:11You want to give him a sack, fine, give him a sack.
- 23:13To me, he had a terrible game. And again, I'll say this again,
- 23:16over and over and over again, $48 million.
- 23:19This guy is the second highest paying player besides a
- 23:23quarterback. He's making more than any wide
- 23:25receiver. He's making more than any
- 23:27running back, making more than any corner, making it more than
- 23:30any anybody besides a quarterback.
- 23:33And this guy is making too much money.
- 23:36And he doesn't show up in the big game.
- 23:37He doesn't show up in three years.
- 23:39He didn't show up in the playoffs for the Dallas Cowboys.
- 23:42Everybody wanted to blame Dak Prescott.
- 23:44It was the defense against the Green Bay Packers.
- 23:46It was the defense. Michael Parsons does not play
- 23:49well under pressure. He is one of the most overrated
- 23:53players I have seen defensively in the NFL.
- 23:57He's not Miles Garrett, he's not TJ Watt, he's not.
- 24:01And I'll say this again, he is not Lawrence Taylor.
- 24:05Stop it. This guy is overrated.
- 24:08And, and by the way, I want to say it again, the Dallas Cowboys
- 24:11won this trade. They won the street because next
- 24:14year they're going to add, they have $48 million or $40 million
- 24:18to spend for two defensive lineman.
- 24:20They're going to get 2 first round draft picks that could be
- 24:22defensive players. And the year after two first
- 24:24round draft picks, they're going to be loaded, I'm telling you.
- 24:28And they're going to sign George.
- 24:29They're going to sign George Pickens, who had his best game
- 24:31as a Cowboy. I I thought it was great to
- 24:33watch. The Cowboys are two and two a
- 24:35lot better than people said they were.
- 24:37A lot of people. We're counting the Cowboys out
- 24:40and Dak Prescott, who is a top seven quarterback in the NFL.
- 24:44Sell that. Ship that up your ass, Cowboy
- 24:47fans. Yeah, be if you're watching the
- 24:50Cowboys game yesterday, there's nothing you could say bad about
- 24:53the way Dak Prescott played, especially in the fourth quarter
- 24:55was unbelievable with a lot of his intermediate throws to a lot
- 24:58of his deep throws. Like he said, pick and Ted, a
- 25:00career game in a Cowboys uniform, probably one of the
- 25:02biggest ones on his career so far and showing that he could be
- 25:06take on that. I know the Packers corners
- 25:07aren't great but still taking on that number one type coverage
- 25:10even amidst CD. You see that catchy made,
- 25:12unbelievable, that catch he made with two guys on him, a safety
- 25:16coming under him and he caught that ball on the three yard line
- 25:19or something of that magnitude. I think it was in the first
- 25:21quarter, it was in the first half.
- 25:22It was unbelievable. And another one very much like
- 25:25that in the fourth quarter as well, right in front of the, I
- 25:29think it was right in front of the 30 yard line or something
- 25:31like that. And you're really showing the
- 25:32type of player that he could be. We'll see on the obviously the
- 25:34Cowboys defense still is showing their issues with without
- 25:36Parsons. But again, it's a young defense.
- 25:38It's going to take some time. There's some individual I think
- 25:39that look good in this game. From the Packers standpoint,
- 25:42there's one thing that I think I'm more worried about than even
- 25:44the defense is the offensive line.
- 25:45They've had like 10 different combinations already to start
- 25:48the year. Zach Tom was their best
- 25:49offensive lineman been hurt and they really have had a lot of
- 25:52trouble the. Cowboys offensive line was
- 25:57sensational. Sensational.
- 26:00I'm going to just say this. I said that the strength of the
- 26:03Cowboys was their offensive line going to season.
- 26:06It absolutely is. They were sensational.
- 26:08Did you see what Thomas was doing to Michael Parsons?
- 26:11He was throwing him around, throwing him around.
- 26:14The youth on this line could be very, very good.
- 26:17And the intangibles they have, their mean, their mean upfront.
- 26:21I love it. I love everything about what I
- 26:23saw with the Cowboys much better than people think they're going.
- 26:25Yeah, their young, their young players are definitely ahead of
- 26:27schedule in a lot of areas. And who loved their trip.
- 26:30I did. I did like their draft a lot as
- 26:31a Roku who was their second round pick played well in that
- 26:34game. Yet a lot of good young
- 26:35linebackers. I even young defensive tackle.
- 26:37That's how Matthew Smith, they've really done a lot of
- 26:39good job hitting on a lot of those draft picks.
- 26:41Finishing up with Green Bay though, like I was saying, the
- 26:43offensive line is a mess that the corners definitely showing
- 26:46could be a problem for them this year and even their interior,
- 26:48which I thought was a big strength for them, really not
- 26:50showing the case. Amy McCain a rough game in that
- 26:51one too. So definitely some concerns in
- 26:53the Green Bay. Yeah, no, I I mean, you guys
- 26:56kind of touched. I just, I think everybody looked
- 26:59really, really good. I mean, and there wasn't.
- 27:01I mean, obviously you're putting points on the board.
- 27:03So obviously the defense at times wasn't the greatest, but I
- 27:06just don't get how the hell you end the game in a tie.
- 27:09I just especially in football, like I get I get what it is, but
- 27:13that that kind of just boggles my mind that they're there still
- 27:17is a tie. But you know what?
- 27:18It's I, I said from the get go, I'd like Jordan love.
- 27:22I think he's going to be great. Cowboys standpoint is DAC is
- 27:28going to be DAC. You know, I people are going to
- 27:30hate because it's either, you know, it's kind of the Yankees
- 27:34of football, like they hate him or you love him and you know, he
- 27:38goes out and does his thing. So it was sad to say I want to
- 27:41see somebody win. But it was it was a good game
- 27:44overall from both sides. Yeah, you know, Romeo Dobbs, 3
- 27:49touchdowns in that game from Jordan Love for the Packers.
- 27:52He obviously has to step up with Jaden, Read out injured Tucker
- 27:57Craft had two of those that went to the one killed a lot of
- 28:00people in. Fantasies killed me.
- 28:02And by the way, I want to say something for all those people
- 28:05that haven't watched the Green Bay Packers since Jaden Reed.
- 28:08Reed has gone down. They're not the same offense.
- 28:11You can see they're not the same offense and he's heard a lot of
- 28:15people him going out with the broken collarbone, so I just
- 28:17wanted to say that too. Reads a special player.
- 28:20Hopefully he gets back soon. All right, we're going to go a
- 28:21little quicker now. We got a couple of good ones
- 28:23here. Falcons and Commanders 3427.
- 28:28Pennix leads them over the no Jaden Daniels Commanders once
- 28:33again and no Terry Mclaurin in that game.
- 28:36So the commander's really kind of up against it.
- 28:38Everyone was picking them. You know, it's really, you don't
- 28:40get a little injury, bad luck. Things can change very quickly
- 28:43in the NFL. And in a game that was closer
- 28:46than, you know, probably should have been because the the Bills
- 28:49were very sloppy. The Bills still beat the Saints
- 28:5231 to 19. Another 30 point fantasy week
- 28:56for Bijan Robinson. Who is the best?
- 28:58You can argue him and Taylor are the best fantasy players in the
- 29:03world right now. And I got them both in our
- 29:05league, baby. I got them both Teller and
- 29:09Robinson and and by the way, I win this week with the most
- 29:12points, so guess where I go? All the way to the top.
- 29:16I have more. Points than you no, you don't.
- 29:18Go look at the go look at the numbers.
- 29:20I have more points. Than now that the games are the
- 29:22Monday night games I was leading before.
- 29:24Tonight it's done for you, buddy, and I can't wait until
- 29:27you play for me and play against me because I'm going to whip
- 29:29your ass. Jaden Daniels is not.
- 29:32He didn't play in this game. It definitely effects them.
- 29:35Jaden Daniels is going to have a sophomore year.
- 29:37It's going to be up and down with this commander team.
- 29:39They're a playoff team. Losing Terry Mclaurin is going
- 29:42to hurt them. Debo, Debo, Samuel can't stay
- 29:45healthy. That's the problem.
- 29:46If Debo stays healthy, this might be a team that is still
- 29:50going to be able to put up points without Terry Mclaurin
- 29:53and the Bills beating the Saints.
- 29:55I'm going to tell you this, the Bills have not looked good over
- 29:57the last two weeks, two against two teams.
- 30:00They should have absolutely pulverized.
- 30:02And besides The Jets game, they did not look good this week and
- 30:06it didn't look good last week against Miami.
- 30:08So I don't know. The Bills have to play better
- 30:12than this if they expect to win a Super Bowl this year.
- 30:14Yeah, the Bills, I think you're you're classic case you're
- 30:16playing down to a team. You look at them having that
- 30:19those thrilling wins the last couple weeks, obviously besides
- 30:21the The Jets almost a blow, but the rest of them being like
- 30:23those close games, the Saints, it's easy to play down to when
- 30:26you have this meteor schedule coming up.
- 30:28And that's a classic case of what they did as far as Atlanta,
- 30:30I, I, their offense is like a tale of like 4 games, like 1.
- 30:34They're bad, then they're good. It's vice versa they but they
- 30:37bounce back nicely. Like you said, be John Robinson
- 30:39really taking it. But that offensive line played
- 30:41very well. It gets a good commander's
- 30:43defensive line too. And again, if Atlanta's defense
- 30:45could play this well, I think you could definitely see them be
- 30:47a good team in the NFC. Yeah, it's, it's interesting to
- 30:54this Saints score was a little bit weird and I, I think you're
- 30:57100% right. I think a little bit of the
- 30:59Bills, if you've watched them, I think they played to their
- 31:01competition a little bit and we've seen that a couple of
- 31:03times and they're obviously, you know, not not the 3119 team,
- 31:09they're better than that. But yeah.
- 31:11And you know, I really like I is there something with left-handed
- 31:13quarterbacks that I like? It's like left-handed shooters.
- 31:16I I love, I I don't know why golfers the same thing.
- 31:19Like they just do it and it looks so.
- 31:21So you're, so you're a Markel. You're a Markel's faults fan.
- 31:26I mean, well, not. There's exceptions to the rule
- 31:28over. Here, you know what I'm saying,
- 31:29but just kidding. I'm just kidding.
- 31:32But yeah, so yeah, it's panics I think is going to be really,
- 31:37really good once he he can slow things down and and get real
- 31:40comfortable with what he is. But yeah, so these were.
- 31:44Isn't Simmons and Josh Allen? I want to be Josh.
- 31:47Lefty. Isn't Simmons a left?
- 31:49Pretty awesome, isn't Ben Simmons.
- 31:51He barely shoots it's. I think Ben Simmons is a.
- 31:54Left. Yeah.
- 31:54He doesn't count. He doesn't shoot outside like 12
- 31:57feet. He may as well have no hands.
- 31:59Right, that's right. I'm just saying he says he likes
- 32:02lefties. I just gave you 2.
- 32:03Well, well, most give me Chris Mullen with the one with the one
- 32:08legged floater. I'm just.
- 32:10Messing with you. I'm just messing with.
- 32:13You all right, Let's go to the next one.
- 32:14Let's get into the Lions dismantling the Browns 34 to 10
- 32:20and the Patriots letting everybody know that they're bad,
- 32:23but they're not that bad because the Panthers are still one of
- 32:28the three or four worst teams in the NFL 42 to 13, making Drake
- 32:33may look almost like a top three quarterback girl.
- 32:37Stop. He's not a top three
- 32:38quarterback. He played the Panthers.
- 32:40I, I, I will say this, Drake May when you look at his numbers and
- 32:44in a sophomore year, there, there is a number that popped up
- 32:48and I, I think I have it. Hold on.
- 32:49I want I want to I want you guys to to hear this.
- 32:52I have to give him a little bit of credit and props because
- 32:55there was a number that popped up that I want to read here it
- 32:57is here. Drake may joins Lamar Jackson
- 33:01from 2023 and 24 and Josh Allen from 2024 as the only players in
- 33:06NFL history to record a 135.0 passer rating, 1 rushing
- 33:12touchdown, 1 passing touchdown in 10 passing attempts in
- 33:18multiple games in a season. So there you go.
- 33:22That's that's something that only Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen
- 33:24has done. That doesn't mean he's the top
- 33:27five quarterback, ladies and gentlemen, just means he's done
- 33:30something that only two quarterbacks has ever done.
- 33:32So I just wanted to name that as far or tell you guys that as far
- 33:36as the Browns are concerned, they played.
- 33:39They played what we expected him to play, absolutely garbage.
- 33:42The Lions are still one of the best teams in the league.
- 33:45Dan Campbell is fun to watch. I love, I love him flexing on
- 33:48the sidelines, especially when they score.
- 33:51The man's a big man. He's fun to watch.
- 33:53He laughs, he giggles, still goes on 4th down.
- 33:55And by the way, St. Brown and the beasts that they
- 33:59have on that other side of the defensive side of the ball as
- 34:02well. And that goes for Aidan
- 34:04Hutchinson, who right now to me could you could argue as the
- 34:07best defensive player in the league right now.
- 34:09It's incredible. Patriots, who cares?
- 34:11I don't want to hear about it. Game over.
- 34:14By the way, Stefan Diggs. Dan Campbell But by the way, you
- 34:17say like flex is you ever seen that man chew gum?
- 34:20Yeah, he chews a lot of gum, man.
- 34:22There's no he chews the flavor out of that bad boy in like 6.
- 34:25Chews. Does he ever?
- 34:26And by the way, I want to say Stefan Diggs, who is has
- 34:30pregnanted Cardi B as she's dancing on a stage over there
- 34:34at, you know, Central Park. Yeah, he had his best game as a
- 34:38New England Patriot. He gave me 16 points, picked him
- 34:41up in fantasy. He delivered who?
- 34:44Cared that's all he needed was have a baby with Cardi B dog.
- 34:47100 yards, first time since I think a couple of.
- 34:50Years you hooked me up as a pickup so.
- 34:54Yeah, Browns hung tough defensively for a while.
- 34:56Judkins rookie running back played very well in that game.
- 34:58But again, there's only so much you could do with really not
- 35:00having any passing attack. So it was inevitable.
- 35:02The lines are just going to run away within the second-half.
- 35:04And the Panthers just an ideal let down spot.
- 35:05After you win 30, nothing, you just fall to the Patriots team.
- 35:08A cold weather team versus a warm weather team.
- 35:10Patriots were just better in all phases.
- 35:15Next games. Little too late for the New York
- 35:17Jets, by the way. They're, they're, they're making
- 35:19a run. This is pathetic.
- 35:21This is pathetic. Yeah, they do a great job
- 35:23against zone prevent defense. The Eagles won a close one.
- 35:29You know, it was a little closer in the score than the game was
- 35:31itself. It was kind of a blow for most
- 35:33of the game. 3125 Bucks tried to come back late.
- 35:37Mayfield was picked off a couple of times.
- 35:40Quinion Mitchell I saw is that that he he like allowed a 39
- 35:46passer rating against which makes him probably the best
- 35:49corner in football right now for the Eagles.
- 35:52He's that good already, which is pretty impressive.
- 35:56And the Texans beat the Titans 26 to nothing.
- 36:00I got a quote for you. It's from Cam Ward.
- 36:03If we keep it a buck we ass. That's Cam Ward, everybody.
- 36:09The number one pick in this year's draft.
- 36:11They lost 26 to nothing. I like Campbell.
- 36:15It's it's a good, it's a good honest.
- 36:17Right. Yeah, well, he probably smells
- 36:19like ass after that game, that's for damn sure.
- 36:22The Eagles, this is the best team in football.
- 36:25I don't think you can argue this.
- 36:27They just really kicked the you know what out of the Buccaneers.
- 36:30And the Buccaneers, yes, they didn't have Mike Evans, they had
- 36:33Godwin back, They have a Buka who looks like he's a good
- 36:37player to me. And Buck and Bucky Irvin had
- 36:40another good day. I I just think that this
- 36:42defense, when they want to play, they play and they can run the
- 36:45ball, they can throw the ball, they could do everything.
- 36:48And Jalen Hurts does not really have to have one of those big
- 36:52games for them to win. And that's just a lot about the
- 36:54talent that they has that he has around them.
- 36:56I think the Eagles are by far, by far the best team in in the
- 37:01NFL and is on their way to going to another Super Bowl and
- 37:05winning back-to-back Super Bowl championships and and has a
- 37:07chance to maybe have that three peat that we've been waiting for
- 37:10a team to have. And I think they could win this
- 37:12year. By the way, there's somebody
- 37:14that's going to be doing Super Bowl halftime as Bad Bunny was
- 37:19announced yesterday, which absolutely pathetic.
- 37:21All right, I'm just. Saying you're like Bad Bunny.
- 37:23No, man, I don't want to see that.
- 37:25I don't want to see. It's just horrible.
- 37:27Where do they make the decision? I thought.
- 37:28I thought she wanted Taylor Swift.
- 37:30No, I don't want to see any of that I.
- 37:32Guess did you see? How about a rock band?
- 37:34How about a rock band? She had some weird like request
- 37:38on her writer and the NFL was like, no.
- 37:41I mean you can get like a 25 year old rock band.
- 37:44There's not too many like in the last 20 years that are famous
- 37:47enough to even put in the Super Bowl because rock is just for
- 37:50me. As someone who grew up playing
- 37:52guitar, it's hard to say rock is going.
- 37:54Stronger. All right, get a country singer.
- 37:56I'd rather see country. Than see, I'd rather I think I'd
- 37:58rather have the party with Bad Bunny and.
- 38:00A party of watch. Type of thing.
- 38:02Him lip stinging and having, you know, have everybody follow him
- 38:06and all these all these people jumping around dancers and.
- 38:09Stuff on stage, it'll be fun to watch.
- 38:11I'd rather watch country. I'd rather watch country
- 38:16alright. Moving on, Speedy.
- 38:18Speedy, do you rather watch the Eagles or Cam Ward just
- 38:24embarrassing his own team at this?
- 38:26Point yeah, I'd rather not see the Eagles in the Super Bowl, so
- 38:29I'll take Cam I'll take Cam Ward embarrassing his own team at
- 38:31that point it feels the same. I feel like it seems like it's
- 38:34inevitable that even though Brian Callahan gave up the play
- 38:36calling duties, he's going to get fired sooner rather than
- 38:38later at this point, their offense looks lifeless right now
- 38:40the Texans didn't even play great in that game either.
- 38:42They're just on the field so much that they eventually scored
- 38:4426 Eagles, proving a lot of adversity like their stars are
- 38:48being shut down and they're still winning games like that's
- 38:50saying a lot about how good that they could be Tampa.
- 38:52I mean, maybe with Evans healthy could have made him run in that
- 38:55game, but give Buka and Bucky Irving a lot of credit for that
- 38:57comeback, but just too little to wait.
- 39:01Yeah, I mean, the Eagles even, I think they had some couple guys
- 39:04go down too and and they're just so deep and good at what they
- 39:07do. I just.
- 39:08But I do love Baker. You just that guy's got a set of
- 39:12balls. Like I I love watching him.
- 39:14He's a gamer. He's a dog for sure, but a
- 39:17little a little too late, but yeah.
- 39:19And then can't. I love the honesty.
- 39:22Like it's one of those things when when you come out and I
- 39:26got, I got to talk to some kids about some media training, which
- 39:28I love doing because honesty is the best policy.
- 39:31Because what are you going to say now that he hasn't said
- 39:33about his own team? You can't make stuff up.
- 39:36You can't create a narrative that's not there.
- 39:37He said we're ass. Good for him.
- 39:41We asked. That is true if anyone has ever
- 39:45said it. Let's move on to the next set of
- 39:47games. We've got a couple of good ones
- 39:49here. The Jaguars beat the 49ers 26 to
- 39:5421. It's a very close game, hotly
- 39:57debated game. I think we're going to get to
- 39:59some of those stories from that game later tonight.
- 40:02And the Rams took on Danny Dimes and turned them over three
- 40:08times, leading to a 27. Of course you would say that and
- 40:13you bring up to the garbage that comes out of your.
- 40:14He did. He did like play have a great
- 40:17game. There, the wide receivers were
- 40:21running the wrong routes. Everybody said it.
- 40:24You watch the game and honestly, the Colts gave the game away in
- 40:28the fourth quarter that to me, the Rams were playing chase the
- 40:33whole game. Danny was doing the right thing.
- 40:35The offensive line played great. The defense did not play well in
- 40:39the fourth quarter. They made a lot of mistakes in
- 40:41the secondary. And then when the Yi forget who
- 40:44it was, who's the wide receivers on the Colts?
- 40:45It wasn't Dallas. It was Adonai Mitchell.
- 40:47Adam. Yes, Mitchell.
- 40:48Mitchell made a mistake in the first half and he made a big
- 40:51mistake in the fourth quarter which caused 2 interceptions, 2
- 40:55because he ran the wrong route and it was embarrassing.
- 40:59And it's not Danny Dons his fault.
- 41:00He had a good game, he looked good and by the way he kept his
- 41:03team in the game, the team could have won.
- 41:06You want to see your quarterback keep your team in it.
- 41:10He did. He played very well.
- 41:11You can't hate on Danny Dimes. He had one of those days that he
- 41:15could have won and he lost by 7 points and honestly, they had a
- 41:19chance to win the game multiple times in this game.
- 41:22The Jaguars. I don't think there's anything
- 41:25to break about. I I mean, we all know the
- 41:26Gremlin. I'm wearing the new Gremlin
- 41:28jersey I had made. He did not look good besides the
- 41:3120 yard catch that he had. And I hear freaking Keith sit
- 41:35him over here. He's going to be good.
- 41:36He doesn't have a quarterback. The guy stinks.
- 41:38He stinks, Keith, you always think you're right when I admit
- 41:41when I'm wrong, you should admit you're wrong.
- 41:44You're wrong about the Gremlin. He's an overrated and he's going
- 41:48to be an overpaid rookie who was traded and given up.
- 41:52They the rat Jaguars gave up a lot for a guy that only has 118
- 41:57yards right now. No touchdowns, no interceptions.
- 42:00And by the way, by the end of the season, even as a corner, he
- 42:04will have no interceptions. Like I told everybody, the guy
- 42:07is over rated and he stinks. The quality of play with the
- 42:11Rams Colts game, I'll start with that one too, was definitely
- 42:13strong. Obviously you saw yeah, Danny
- 42:15Dimes had some turnovers, but again, Rams were able to get a
- 42:17lot of pressure like I was just talking about with verse before,
- 42:19like the Colts tackles had some uncharacteristic penalties in
- 42:23the fourth quarter. But yeah, Mitchell was really
- 42:24what screwed them. He.
- 42:25Drops the ball in the goal line. Which that's a touchdown that
- 42:27gives him AI think A2 score lead at that point.
- 42:29If he gets that one, then he has a penalty on in the fourth
- 42:32quarter on a block. So really that's what we're
- 42:34ended up costing. And the Rams did a good job
- 42:36containing Taylor a little more, making him a little less
- 42:38efficient of a runner. I will say this with
- 42:39Jacksonville though. Their defense is legit though.
- 42:41Like their front 7 has played really well this year.
- 42:43Devin Lloyd becoming one of the better young linebackers in
- 42:45football this year. They're they're secondary, not
- 42:47the Gremlin. The rest of their secondary
- 42:49looks pretty damn good right now, and they played a good
- 42:51offense in the 49ers. Yeah, these, I mean, these are
- 42:55two games that you expected to be kind of good to see what what
- 42:58was going to happen on both sides of the ball.
- 43:00And it's it's interesting to see how the Niners going to come out
- 43:04of this. Like you said, the the Jags
- 43:06defense is is pretty good. I didn't you guys have touched
- 43:10on it before and and watching them, just seeing what they're
- 43:14able to do and and and pass protecting their front 7 is has
- 43:17been fun to watch. So they're they're going to be
- 43:21interesting. And I'm I'm still excited every
- 43:24time they play because it makes me watch because I want to see
- 43:26if if the gremlin does good or bad.
- 43:29Now you got me calling the damn. He is a gremlin.
- 43:32He is a gremlin. It's a beautiful jersey, by the
- 43:34way. I like it.
- 43:35Errol, I know you you hate on him and he hasn't had any great
- 43:38games, but in each game that he's played, he's had a play
- 43:41that goes makes you like kind of like whoa, he has some moves
- 43:45that please. I'd love.
- 43:46To see those play that does that.
- 43:47Don't a. Lot.
- 43:49Don't say that he hasn't done that.
- 43:50Like, who cares three times? How about this?
- 43:52You're a high profile player that won a Heisman Trophy and
- 43:57you made one play each game. That makes you go Oh, what's
- 44:01that song makes me go? Make him say.
- 44:05Give me a break. He's an absolute joke.
- 44:09He's a joke. I don't care what Keith says,
- 44:11he's he's not going to amount to anything.
- 44:13He's on pace for 450. Seven years he will be out of
- 44:17the NF. LII just think like it was a
- 44:20folly to trade up for him if he's going to be your #3
- 44:22receiver and #3 corner. What is that value?
- 44:25It's not a top five pick, I don't think, no.
- 44:28So it's so I think that's the problem here.
- 44:31But you know, we'll see. Maybe you'll get better.
- 44:33Here it is, the game that surprised everybody.
- 44:36Keith. No, I'm not talking about the.
- 44:38Bears, you finished this I'm I'm going to let the when he when
- 44:42we're done with this let Keith call he could talk for 5 minutes
- 44:45and he could say whatever he wants I'm going to kill you now
- 44:48I'm going to murder you on this show I'm going to murder you
- 44:51right here call the show and I am going to completely
- 44:54absolutely Jack Frost you all right let's go you.
- 44:58Say Jack. Frost, Jack Frost, you
- 45:00reference. Is is that a?
- 45:03That's a That was a previous segment of the show, actually.
- 45:06Yep. All right, so Geno Smith looks
- 45:10like he's washed. The Bears beat the Raiders 2524.
- 45:15Geno's going to lead the league in turnovers if they don't bench
- 45:17them at some point. It's not looking good over
- 45:20there. Ash and Gente had three
- 45:22touchdowns, but he had a bad fumble in the game as well.
- 45:25But the other game, the game that we thought was going to be
- 45:27player like the game of the week, Lamar Jackson gets hurt
- 45:30early. The Chiefs were in control the
- 45:32whole way. Mahomes 25 of 37270 and four
- 45:37touchdowns. Another couple yards rushing,
- 45:40but spread the ball around Hollywood Brown, Juju Smith,
- 45:43Schuster, Isaiah Pacheco and giant killer Taekwon Thornton
- 45:49with touchdowns. For.
- 45:51Kansas City, I picked up. Errol have them on a fantasy
- 45:53team, right I'm. Assuming after he killed the
- 45:55giants I picked them up too. 2 Fantasy Chiefs.
- 45:58But you know, Lamar lost a fumble, threw a pick in the time
- 46:02he was in, and then he pulled. He kind of quietly pulled his
- 46:05hamstring and just never came back into the game.
- 46:07He was a massacre. The Ravens are now one and three
- 46:10and might be without Lamar for a couple of weeks.
- 46:13Are they kind of done? No, they're not done.
- 46:15I think this is still a good team.
- 46:17They'll make the playoffs because the AFC is so very bad.
- 46:20But they're not winning anything with this defense.
- 46:22And what I've seen is it's all Derrick Henry and that's all it
- 46:26is. This defense is not what it used
- 46:29to be. They paid a lot of money for
- 46:30Queen. Queen has not been the player
- 46:32that we thought he was going to be coming from Pittsburgh.
- 46:34He had one good season. He hasn't been the same this
- 46:37year. I think there's a lot of
- 46:38problems over there with the Ravens.
- 46:40And I expected this. I, I picked Patrick Mahomes in
- 46:44the savior tears because I believe that if you look at his
- 46:48numbers, he scored 15 touchdowns against the Ravens going into
- 46:51the game, 15 in his career, and he's only given up 4
- 46:55interceptions out of 15. I expect him, I expect him to
- 46:59have a big day. He had a big day and then this
- 47:01is a Ravens defense. That's not the same as far as
- 47:03the Bears are concerned. And Genti, Genti showed you why
- 47:07he was a top pick. I expect Ashton Gente to take
- 47:10off now. I think he understands the
- 47:11offense. He had an unbelievable day.
- 47:14I think he's going to be a big part of the way they're going to
- 47:16run their offense when this offensive line figures it out.
- 47:19The Bears, they pulled off a win.
- 47:21It's nothing to brag about, I'll tell you that.
- 47:23Ben Johnson, he looks like like a deer in the headlights.
- 47:26There was a lot of things in that game I would question as a
- 47:30head coach. He looked like Everfloose was
- 47:33when he was over there with the Chicago Bears.
- 47:35I, I don't think if you're a Bears fan, you're excited to see
- 47:38see what this team is and what this team might be.
- 47:41So, yeah, the offensive line is still a problem for the Bears.
- 47:43They're getting a lot of pressure on Caleb Williams,
- 47:45especially in that first half. The Bears obviously are having
- 47:48trouble running the ball. There's still a lot of guys
- 47:49having trouble outside of the Doones, a lot of trouble getting
- 47:51into that scheme to just like more talent than the Raiders
- 47:54eventually one out. Ginti looked very good.
- 47:56And that offensive line for the Raiders actually looked pretty
- 47:57good, too. The Chiefs, they're proving a
- 47:59lot with what they were able to do defensively outside of that
- 48:02first half against the Chargers. They played really well the rest
- 48:04of the season. And the Ravens, yeah, like you
- 48:06said, they're in a lot of trouble.
- 48:07Derrick Henry gets shut down, that offense going to have a
- 48:09tough time because a Flowers was already a tough matchup for him
- 48:11against Mcduffie, but they don't have any depth after that and
- 48:14it's showing. And if Lamar's hurt for a while,
- 48:16they might squeak in as a wild card at best.
- 48:20Yeah. And it's it's amazing that their
- 48:22depth isn't very is I don't even know if it's there, if you want
- 48:25to call it that. And it was weird because they
- 48:27looked old and like a little slow.
- 48:29Like, I mean, I guess their dobbers were in the dirt as we
- 48:31put on this show before. When you lose a guy like Lamar,
- 48:36this dobber in the dirt, Yeah, better believe it.
- 48:40Yeah, it was killer. And the Chiefs are the Chiefs,
- 48:43whatever. But I was I I really, I really
- 48:46thought like going into it, Genti would have kind of figured
- 48:49it out a little bit sooner. But you can kind of tell he's
- 48:52the game is slowing down a little bit for him and, you
- 48:55know, he's being more patient, you know, reading out the blocks
- 48:58and and looking at those holes and and just being, you know,
- 49:00the runner that got him there. But I mean, other than that,
- 49:02that one turnover that kind of hurt him.
- 49:04But I think he's he's kind of making that next move in your
- 49:07first year to, you know, kind of solidify, you know, who you are.
- 49:11And I do you keep running Gino out there.
- 49:13I mean, it is the Raiders. So you never know.
- 49:18I guess you do for now. They're not going anywhere this
- 49:20year, right? He's better than probably
- 49:23alternative, but he's going to have a Jameis Winston season
- 49:25where it's going to be like 25 touchdowns, 25 interceptions.
- 49:29He's going to be like that and they're not going to win.
- 49:32Roma, Dunsay, another touchdown. He's got 5 touchdowns this year,
- 49:35another 70 yards receiving. He's almost at 300.
- 49:38That guy, which is 6 neighbors out and Marvin Harrison junior
- 49:41underperforming. It looks like the, you know, at
- 49:44least for the next year or so, he's the best of those three
- 49:46guys now that were drafted a couple of years ago.
- 49:49It's kind of crazy to think that only took two years for him to
- 49:52get to that point. Last set of games, we got this.
- 49:56We're going to go back to the first set of games.
- 49:58Basically, we're going to go back to Thursday and the Dublin
- 50:02game where the Seahawks beat the Cardinals 2320 and the Steelers
- 50:07outlasted the Vikings. And not exactly great watching
- 50:12over there. Hey, at least I was.
- 50:14I was up early so it was nice to actually have something to
- 50:17watch. Most fascinating thing about
- 50:19that game to me was that their backup quarterback was jumped in
- 50:23Dublin the night before the game, Skyler Thompson.
- 50:27But yeah, the Vikings with Carson Wentz in that game.
- 50:31Wentz and Rodgers both started like 1212 and then Wentz through
- 50:36like a couple of picks in a row and Steelers got up and Vikings
- 50:39kind of came back late, but it wasn't really close.
- 50:42Couple of games. What you guys got?
- 50:43I will say this about the Steelers.
- 50:45I should have played gain well. I forgot that it was an early
- 50:48game. I knew that Warren was going to
- 50:50play. If I did, I probably went in my
- 50:52other league and I I win all my leagues this week.
- 50:55I lost that league, that league because Gainwell had 30
- 50:58something points. He had a sensational day.
- 51:00It wasn't Aaron Rodgers. It was all gain well and the
- 51:03Vikings are up and down. I don't know what the Vikings
- 51:06are as far as the Seahawks are concerned.
- 51:09The Seahawks played Kyla Murray. Yes, Kyla Murray has been an
- 51:12absolute joke. I thought the kid was going to
- 51:15be great. I've come out me and Speedy.
- 51:16I've said that. I give Josh a little bit of
- 51:18credit because he said that he was going to be a boss and he
- 51:21has been everything that he said he was going to be.
- 51:25He talks in a third person and he's lost honestly, everything
- 51:28that I thought he was going to be.
- 51:29It's horrible, Absolutely horrible.
- 51:31Yeah, he was, he was good like serviceable guy last year.
- 51:34This year he really looks like a not even a top 20 quarterback
- 51:37with what he's done. I think Trey McBride is like his
- 51:40numbers have dropped because of it.
- 51:41And I'm Marvin Harrison, like you were talking about Fish.
- 51:43He has not looked right this year.
- 51:44But I think a lot of that has to do with Kyler Murray.
- 51:46I don't think there's a connection there.
- 51:47And now you're seeing, obviously I I think Trey Benson still has
- 51:50some potential, but you're seeing the impact without having
- 51:52James Conner in that offense. It affects Kyler Murray as a
- 51:54runner too. The defense for the Cardinals I
- 51:56think is good, but Seattle is just better and they just showed
- 51:58it in this game and they just showed it a little more weapons.
- 52:00Steelers are kind of an ugly win.
- 52:02DK Metcalf had that long touchdown.
- 52:03I don't really didn't see much besides that beyond that and the
- 52:07Vikings. Their defense hung tough, but
- 52:08they could only do so much when the Steelers had.
- 52:10A good that one over like a fart that.
- 52:11Went to quarterback. Cardinals, I remember we, we
- 52:13were talking about if Marvin Harrison was going to make that
- 52:16jump and, and you know, make that from what they thought he
- 52:19was going to be to, to what he could be.
- 52:21And I think you guys are 100% right.
- 52:23I think that has a lot to do with the personnel in in Kyler
- 52:27and, and trying to get him the ball.
- 52:28And I, I think, you know, with James Conner not being able to
- 52:32to have that to open up, you know, opportunities for Marvin
- 52:36is has definitely hindered that ability for his progression.
- 52:39But and then the Steelers Vikings, other than me being
- 52:41excited that there was an early game because everybody was still
- 52:45either hungover or asleep. So I was, you know, just playing
- 52:47with myself, really not like that, but really like that.
- 52:54By the way, by the way, Nijigba, he played against a good
- 52:59secondary, didn't have such a great day, just so you know.
- 53:02Didn't 80 yards, 4 catches, 80 yards.
- 53:05He didn't have a great day. He had the ball throw.
- 53:07To him, they didn't throw him a pass in the first half and it
- 53:09drove me effing crazy, but he was really good in the
- 53:11second-half. They didn't need him.
- 53:14They they that was a ball controlled game.
- 53:16Not exactly. Well, he played the Cardinals in
- 53:18that game. The crappy Cardinals, Well, the
- 53:21Cardinals have a good. Defense, they do have a good
- 53:22front 7:00 They have a bunch of good young players I love.
- 53:24I think they're going to be good.
- 53:26Gannon, that's the the. Decoy Gannon was the D
- 53:28coordinator of that first Eagles championship team, so we'll.

- 53:53this week. I've got my New Jersey.
- 53:55Screw the Gremlin, as he will be out of the NFL.
- 53:59That could be another prediction.
- 54:00I that's just my prediction. Yeah.
- 54:02You're just waiting for that one to get.
- 54:03That's going to be a slam dunk. By the way, I I would love to
- 54:06hear Quentin what he has so. We're bringing him up when he
- 54:09gets his first interception. He's not getting an interception
- 54:11this year. You could book that.
- 54:12He will not have an interception this year.
- 54:14He has what? How many games left?
- 54:17It's 1213 now. 13 games, not a chance in hell.
- 54:20That's all I'm going. To or if he goes off against The
- 54:22Jets. Not by a chance or something.
- 54:24It's still not going to get an interception.
- 54:25Anyways, that's it for our show, ladies and gentlemen.
