- 0:07Good morning ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:09My name is Brett Keene from GOD TV radio.
- 0:13When you get an opportunity, check out my radio station.
- 0:16All links are in the description.
- 0:18You can also check out my books and music Just released a new
- 0:22album there, Schmack Say Yes. All right, so I've been doing a
- 0:31lot of reflecting, lot of thinking about myself and the
- 0:36direction I want to go. And I have realized for quite
- 0:43some time that there's some things that I should have
- 0:46handled a lot differently. Relationships, connections with
- 0:52people, social connections and I'm going to do something that a
- 0:59lot of people out there do not have the courage to do.
- 1:02I'm going to acknowledge that I'm a flawed person and I have
- 1:08made some doozies. Let's start with one of them.
- 1:14It's a major issue that I think a lot of non believers as well
- 1:19as religious people have. The issue is is that I find
- 1:24myself whenever I'm angry or irritated or not having a good
- 1:31day, woke up on the wrong side of the cage.
- 1:35I find myself sometimes broad sweeping groups generalizing
- 1:42generalizations. I'll give you an example.
- 1:46Sometimes I'll wake up and I'll see that some atheist or a
- 1:52handful of atheists have decided to be very abusive, very nasty.
- 1:57And instead of simply either ignoring it and going about my
- 2:03business, making myself my first cup of coffee and talking about
- 2:08the positive things in my life. Sometimes I will hit record and
- 2:13I will talk about the entire atheist community.
- 2:17Like instead of saying some atheist, there was a handful of
- 2:22atheists today that pissed me off.
- 2:25Instead I say atheist in general suck.
- 2:31And unfortunately I used to do that.
- 2:34The Christians too, when I go back and I looked at some of my
- 2:37older content, I realized that whenever a Christian upset me,
- 2:43whenever they told me I was going to burn in hell or that I,
- 2:46you know wash the balls of Satan or whatever thing that came out
- 2:51of their mouth. Instead of just simply saying
- 2:55this Christian here this one specifically his YouTube channel
- 3:00is here, said that I wash the balls of Satan and that I'm the
- 3:06Antichrist and blah blah blah. But instead I expressed myself
- 3:12terribly by saying see how Christians are, see how
- 3:17Christians act, see how they behave.
- 3:22You see the problem, right? The problem is, is I'm blaming
- 3:27millions of people for something one dumb loser did.
- 3:34And I do that to atheists a lot as well.
- 3:38And I feel like after reflecting and thinking about this, I've
- 3:44probably heard a lot of people because I didn't pay attention
- 3:49to the way I was speaking or expressing myself.
- 3:53I shouldn't have done that. It's OK to get angry.
- 3:57It's OK to get upset. It's OK to even rage a little
- 4:02bit, but not to the point where you're swinging haymakers at
- 4:07everybody. You got to focus and concentrate
- 4:11on who it is that pissed you off and go after them.
- 4:16If you're going to go after someone for pissing you off and
- 4:20go after the right person, you know, I'm not saying be a
- 4:24fucking pacifist. I'm not saying that, you know,
- 4:28we should completely always ignore because some people in
- 4:32this world do deserve the shit treatment.
- 4:36They deserve to be embarrassed for the awkward, disgusting
- 4:44behavior that came out of their mouth or actions that they
- 4:48pursued. Now, I'm not talking about
- 4:52cracking somebody or something like that or getting physical.
- 4:55I'm saying that sometimes people need to be addressed.
- 5:00You know, you need to acknowledge what they have done.
- 5:03Let them know, give them the opportunity to change the the
- 5:09the crappiness in their ways and give them the opportunity for
- 5:14forgiveness and redemption if they're willing to change.
- 5:18It seems like a majority of the time.
- 5:21Some will not take it forgiveness or take the
- 5:25blessing. Some will not care if they're
- 5:28redeemed. They are just fine with being
- 5:32hurtful and abusive and so be it.
- 5:37One of the reasons why my wife says I'm such a great guy and
- 5:41full of love is because I do try to see and pay attention.
- 5:47I want to make sure that I don't intentionally harm anybody.
- 5:52I have never wanted to lay my hands on anyone.
- 5:56I have never wanted to scream at people.
- 5:59I've never wanted to talk abusively to people.
- 6:03But like all of you out there, you have your moments, right?
- 6:08You get angry, you get irritated, and sometimes you say
- 6:12a little bit more than what you should have.
- 6:15And that's something serious I need to work on.
- 6:19It is something that I need to get control over if I want to
- 6:25continue to be a good person. That's the way I got to do it.
- 6:30I don't really feel like at any time in my life I became a bad
- 6:34person or I just feel as though I made some bad mistakes.
- 6:39And sometimes bad mistakes don't equal out to you're a bad
- 6:44person. Unless you're out there
- 6:46murdering and raping and doing horrible God knows what.
- 6:52You know things that are illegal, then you haven't
- 6:57crossed the line to be labeled properly or appropriately as the
- 7:01bad guy. I'm not a bad guy.
- 7:04I've always been a great person who've always tried to apologize
- 7:11if I was wrong, and I've always tried to give everyone, and I
- 7:16mean everyone, the opportunity for rational, logical, diligent,
- 7:24chill, calm conversation. I've always been that way.
- 7:32I've always been the type of person where I give some people
- 7:36more chances than they ever deserved.
- 7:41You know, I heard a really, really rough story recently.
- 7:53A really rough story about a particular individual, a
- 7:58specific specimen of the human race that closely resembles a
- 8:04species, but not so much. I was reading some information
- 8:13about a very very popular YouTube.
- 8:16No I'm going to say this. Not the Amazing Atheist, not
- 8:21some popular like hardcore non believer out there, but someone
- 8:28who got their popularity by draining views off of other
- 8:36people, including myself, as well as including the Amazing
- 8:41Atheist. This person has spent a great
- 8:46deal of time accusing a lot of people of many terrible, awful
- 8:51things. But you know what I found out?
- 8:56I found out that this person got in serious trouble and might be
- 9:01going to court for date rape. There's a lot of lines and
- 9:08guidelines whenever it comes to something like that or an
- 9:11accusation like that. But apparently there is a couple
- 9:15females out there who are stating that this particular
- 9:19individual got them drunk and high and may have put something
- 9:24in their drinks in order to be able to violate them.
- 9:28And this person is running a podcast as we speak who a
- 9:35majority of people seem to at this point hate them and don't
- 9:39even bother listening and watching them anymore.
- 9:42I'll give you a hint, the amazing atheists used to Co host
- 9:47with this person along with Paul and Scotty.
- 9:51But this person went out of their way to take advantage of a
- 9:56woman that they were connected with.
- 10:03And that's rough. It really is.
- 10:06I talk about it on my radio show on Spotify.
- 10:10Don't want to drop any names or be specific or anything like
- 10:14that. Just a couple Blues Clues here
- 10:16and there. But this person has made
- 10:19basically their entire Internet career accusing people of
- 10:24horrible things. When it turns out that they
- 10:28might be on their way to court and might even do some time,
- 10:33it's pretty rough. Pretty rough.
- 10:36So not only did I get to read information, but I also got to
- 10:39speak to some females who say they were associated with this
- 10:44mess. You can all guess who I'm
- 10:48talking about. I think you got the idea.
- 10:53But besides all that, like I said before we got into this
- 10:58part of the content, we all need to step back and reflect.
- 11:05We need to breathe and try our best to be as logical and
- 11:13rational even when dealing with someone that we think is
- 11:17absolutely horrible. And try to be like me, ladies
- 11:22and gentlemen. Try to strive to be good.
- 11:25Try to be kind and compassionate and merciful, even if you're
- 11:30absolutely convinced the person that you're dealing with at the
- 11:35time doesn't deserve it. Because it's good for you and
- 11:40it's good for me and it's good for everybody.
- 11:45And you know, I don't know if a lot of you realize this, but
- 11:48anger and hatred and and darkness, you know, Star Wars
- 11:54has armed to something whenever they say, you know, stay away
- 11:57from fear and anger and anguish and all this because it can lead
- 12:02to the dark side. Obviously some people strive for
- 12:06the dark side. But if you want to continue to
- 12:09stay in the light and feel the force, you got to hold on to
- 12:13what is good. Think about what is good around
- 12:17you. Think about the positive.
- 12:20Try as you might to stay away from negativity, but if it is
- 12:25negativity that you can't retreat from or get away from,
- 12:30the negativity seems to follow you and stop you on a daily
- 12:34basis. Then acknowledge it.
- 12:37Either ignore it or respond to it.
- 12:40If you're going to respond to it, be tactful.
- 12:45All right, ladies and gentlemen, have a wonderful day.
- 12:48God bless.
