- 0:01Speaker 1: Now, 710WOR presents The Mark Simone Show. Hey, it's Friday. Yeah,
- 0:10Speaker 1: it's Friday. And, well, we've got a lot to get to.
- 0:14Speaker 1: This ice shooting was an awful incident last night. But
- 0:17Speaker 1: what really happened, we'll get to that. We'll get to Iran.
- 0:21Speaker 1: We'll get to the firing squad that's going to take
- 0:24Speaker 1: place today. Yeah, right here in the United States. We'll
- 0:26Speaker 1: get to Crazy Mayor Mamdani. We'll get to Bruce Blakeman. Actually,
- 0:30Speaker 1: he'll be with us. And we'll get to the debates,
- 0:32Speaker 1: a couple of big debates last night. Now, last night
- 0:38Speaker 1: there was this ICE shooting in Marble Hill in the Bronx. Naturally,
- 0:47Speaker 1: Mayor Mamdani jumps to conclusions, goes off half-cocked, knee-jerk reaction.
- 0:54Speaker 1: The officers, the ICE officers, now according to them, we've
- 0:59Speaker 1: got to wait until we get the actual Full details.
- 1:02Speaker 1: There might be body cam footage. Apparently the New York
- 1:06Speaker 1: City surveillance cameras that are everywhere didn't capture the actual shooting.
- 1:10Speaker 1: But what ICE is saying, and if this is correct,
- 1:15Speaker 1: it was a justified shooting. You hear a lot of
- 1:17Speaker 1: Democrats yelling and screaming about ICE. But what the officers
- 1:21Speaker 1: are saying is that as they tried to stop the car,
- 1:24Speaker 1: the guy in the car, who's a career criminal, with
- 1:27Speaker 1: gang ties, career criminal with gang ties. He did have
- 1:30Speaker 1: a five-year-old boy in the car with him. It's believed
- 1:33Speaker 1: it's his son, but this is a career criminal. They've
- 1:36Speaker 1: dealt with him before. They're out to arrest him. Now, remember,
- 1:39Speaker 1: when you're a career criminal, you've already tangled with law
- 1:42Speaker 1: enforcement a lot of times, and you've already tangled with ICE.
- 1:46Speaker 1: You tend to not want to get arrested again, so
- 1:49Speaker 1: you might do anything to avoid arrest. So what they're saying,
- 1:52Speaker 1: ICE is saying, is that as they tried to stop him,
- 1:56Speaker 1: He took his car and tried to run them over. Now,
- 1:59Speaker 1: if that's the case, any law enforcement agency, you're justified
- 2:04Speaker 1: in shooting. If he's trying to run you over and
- 2:06Speaker 1: kill you with his car, you can shoot. They fired
- 2:09Speaker 1: seven shots. There's only one bullet hole in the windshield,
- 2:13Speaker 1: which would indicate six shots missed the windshield. Now, naturally,
- 2:19Speaker 1: Mamdani has no use for ice, goes off half-cocked, yelling
- 2:23Speaker 1: and screaming. about how awful ICE is.
- 2:26Speaker 2: New York City will not stand by while ICE agents
- 2:29Speaker 2: shoot New Yorkers. And we will not back down from
- 2:32Speaker 2: the demand that so many, including myself, have put forward
- 2:36Speaker 2: time and again. This is an agency that must be abolished.
- 2:40Speaker 1: ICE is not shooting New Yorkers. What they're doing is
- 2:42Speaker 1: they're trying to arrest career criminals, illegals here illegally, who
- 2:47Speaker 1: are criminals committing crimes. They're not going after any New Yorkers.
- 2:50Speaker 1: They're just going after illegals. who aren't supposed to be here,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and even though they're here illegally, are committing crimes. Mamdani
- 2:58Speaker 1: going crazy. I've never seen him that angry. But he
- 3:02Speaker 1: was apparently on the phone over a two-hour period, on
- 3:06Speaker 1: the phone with President Trump. The guy went to the hospital.
- 3:09Speaker 1: He was taken to the hospital. Apparently, he wasn't hurt
- 3:11Speaker 1: that bad because he was released from the hospital and
- 3:15Speaker 1: then taken into ICE custody. Mamdani, one of the things
- 3:19Speaker 1: with Trump, Mamdani demanding he be released from to uh...
- 3:23Speaker 1: new york city uh... ice is not going to do
- 3:25Speaker 1: that uh... his mother for.
- 3:27Speaker 2: The past two hours i've been on the phone with
- 3:30Speaker 2: president trump and secretary mullen negotiating the release of the
- 3:35Speaker 2: man ice agents shot those negotiations were unsuccessful just moments
- 3:42Speaker 2: ago ice put the man in unmarked vehicle and whisked
- 3:45Speaker 2: him away.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah, which it's supposed to do. Basically, this is just
- 3:49Speaker 1: following the law. You've got to follow the law. Whatever U.S.
- 3:51Speaker 1: law is, that's what you do. And Mamdani just can't
- 3:56Speaker 1: seem to... Well, a lot of left-wingers, they think there
- 4:01Speaker 1: should be an exception to the law for illegal aliens.
- 4:05Speaker 1: They just think they should... There's a bunch of laws
- 4:08Speaker 1: there they think should not be enforced. Now, the DHS
- 4:13Speaker 1: will have a press conference this morning. They'll address this. Now,
- 4:16Speaker 1: If there is body cam footage, there should be. Holman
- 4:20Speaker 1: had promised all these agents would wear body cameras. But
- 4:23Speaker 1: if that's released, that could settle the whole thing instantly. Now,
- 4:26Speaker 1: there were no witnesses. There were witnesses that got there
- 4:29Speaker 1: after the shooting, just after it. They saw the aftermath
- 4:32Speaker 1: of it.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Ice agents tried to barricade the guy in his car,
- 4:34Speaker 3: a couple of cars, and tried to drive away.
- 4:37Speaker 4: And they shot at him multiple times with his five-year-old
- 4:40Speaker 4: baby in the car.
- 4:40Speaker 1: The baby's fine.
- 4:42Speaker 3: He's apparently stable in the hospital, but we think that
- 4:44Speaker 3: he aligned to.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Her to keep the neighborhood calm. Yeah, he did have
- 4:47Speaker 1: a child with him. Here's Mom Donnie. School had just
- 4:49Speaker 1: gotten out.
- 4:50Speaker 2: The street was crowded with families and children. When ICE
- 4:54Speaker 2: agents opened fire, a five-year-old child, a five-year-old child was
- 5:00Speaker 2: in the backseat of the car. Thank God that child
- 5:05Speaker 2: is physically unharmed.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Now, remember, it's possible ICE is totally wrong here. There
- 5:09Speaker 1: was no reason to fire. We haven't seen this. body
- 5:11Speaker 1: cam footage we don't know exactly what happened yet but
- 5:15Speaker 1: but uh... you get these uh... mom donnie types who
- 5:18Speaker 1: are running around yelling and screaming that ice is a
- 5:20Speaker 1: terrorist organization that they should be taken off the street
- 5:24Speaker 1: they should never be like listen to mom donnie.
- 5:26Speaker 2: We know that ice is rotten to its core today's
- 5:30Speaker 2: shooting is only further devastating confirmation of what we have
- 5:34Speaker 2: long known which is that ice operates with impunity that
- 5:38Speaker 2: they sow chaos and terror across our country that they
- 5:41Speaker 2: have killed far more of our neighbors than they could
- 5:44Speaker 2: ever have claimed to save.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I mean, that's just total nonsense. ISIS made almost a
- 5:50Speaker 1: million arrests, a million. This type of incident that we
- 5:54Speaker 1: just saw, how many out of a million? Three. Three
- 5:58Speaker 1: out of a million. That's a pretty good track record.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Very good track record. And I don't think he's aware
- 6:05Speaker 1: that most Americans, maybe not right in New York City,
- 6:07Speaker 1: but most Americans... want these laws enforced. They'd want these illegals.
- 6:12Speaker 1: And they're not just going after illegals. They're going specifically
- 6:14Speaker 1: after illegals who are criminals, who are committing crimes. Most
- 6:19Speaker 1: people want them taken off their streets. Somebody who's a robber,
- 6:22Speaker 1: a rapist, a gang member. Most people want them taken
- 6:26Speaker 1: out of their community. So most people are for ICE.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But again, Mamdani got really heated, yelling and screaming. And luckily,
- 6:35Speaker 1: the police commissioner was there. Just trying to go over
- 6:38Speaker 1: the facts.
- 6:38Speaker 6: The individual who was shot has been identified as 28-year-old
- 6:42Speaker 6: Oscar Belgal. He has two prior arrests in New York City,
- 6:46Speaker 6: one for robbery in 2023, in which he pleaded guilty
- 6:50Speaker 6: to fourth-degree grand larceny and received five years probation, and
- 6:55Speaker 6: one for criminal sale of a controlled substance in 2025,
- 6:59Speaker 6: which is still pending. Based on evidence collected at the scene,
- 7:04Speaker 6: we know that at least one ICE agent discharged to
- 7:07Speaker 6: seven rounds, striking the driver in the neck below his
- 7:11Speaker 6: left ear.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Again, he got out of the hospital. He's now in
- 7:15Speaker 1: ICE custody. Well, we'll get back to this. President Trump, busy, busy,
- 7:22Speaker 1: busy this weekend. Every day he's going to be traveling somewhere.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Today he goes to Syracuse to campaign. Now, it's believed
- 7:30Speaker 1: that Bruce Blakeman will be there campaigning with him. We'll
- 7:34Speaker 1: talk to Bruce Blakeman later on the show. We'll ask him.
- 7:37Speaker 1: but it would be the first appearance together. So President
- 7:40Speaker 1: Trump campaigning in upstate New York today. Tomorrow, Saturday, he
- 7:45Speaker 1: goes to Tennessee. Then he goes to Alabama. This is
- 7:48Speaker 1: all in the same day. Then he comes back to
- 7:50Speaker 1: the White House. Then Sunday, he'll be in Virginia. So
- 7:55Speaker 1: it's a busy, busy campaign schedule. Midterms, the president will
- 7:59Speaker 1: be working his tail off, going crazy, trying to trying
- 8:03Speaker 1: to wrap up the midterms for Republicans. It looks a
- 8:06Speaker 1: lot better for Republicans than the public polls are saying.
- 8:10Speaker 1: These public polls, the metrics are absolutely rigged. They dramatically
- 8:17Speaker 1: undersample Republicans in them. They don't use likely voters. They
- 8:22Speaker 1: use what they call adults, which means whoever they want.
- 8:25Speaker 1: They don't use the right demos. This is all deliberate.
- 8:28Speaker 1: This is all to make it look like it's hopeless.
- 8:30Speaker 1: It's to suppress voters. Republican turnout. In the real polls, Republicans, Democrats,
- 8:38Speaker 1: it looks pretty much neck and neck. And there's a
- 8:44Speaker 1: key factor that you got to look at. Since it's
- 8:48Speaker 1: neck and neck, the election will be determined by turnout.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Whichever side gets the best turnout wins. Well, right now,
- 8:55Speaker 1: turnout looks like it's favoring Republicans because Their registration is
- 9:00Speaker 1: going up. Whoever recently registered is most likely to turn out.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Listen to the CNN pollster.
- 9:06Speaker 4: OK, you see the polling over the last two years
- 9:08Speaker 4: really moving in the Democrats' favor. But are they actually
- 9:11Speaker 4: gaining in terms of registration, at least compared to where
- 9:14Speaker 4: we were two years ago? Well, I think this makes
- 9:16Speaker 4: it pretty simple, right?
- 9:18Speaker 1: Pretty simple. In Pennsylvania, no. North Carolina, no.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Nevada, no.
- 9:22Speaker 7: Arizona, no.
- 9:23Speaker 4: There may be some tiny late gains that are going
- 9:25Speaker 4: on right now, right? That I think over the last month,
- 9:27Speaker 4: maybe Democrats are getting. But when you take the longer
- 9:29Speaker 4: term view versus the 2024 election in which Republicans won
- 9:34Speaker 4: all of these states, Democrats are, in fact, not actually
- 9:37Speaker 4: gaining ground.
- 9:39Speaker 8: Wow.
- 9:40Speaker 1: So interesting. Republican turnout registration is up in a lot
- 9:45Speaker 1: of places. So, hey, there were two big debates last night. Now,
- 9:48Speaker 1: nobody saw the attorney general debate. because it was on
- 9:52Speaker 1: New York One. Nobody sees New York One. The Democrats
- 9:55Speaker 1: are deliberately refusing to do debates. The only thing they'll
- 9:59Speaker 1: do is New York One. Two reasons. One, nobody sees it. Two,
- 10:04Speaker 1: New York One is the most biased left-wing media outlet
- 10:07Speaker 1: in New York. Totally biased. It was Letitia James, who's
- 10:11Speaker 1: up for re-election. You can get rid of her this year.
- 10:15Speaker 1: In 25 days, you can get rid of Letitia James.
- 10:17Speaker 1: So she was... Debating the Republican attorney general candidate. Very good.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Would be a very good attorney general. Vote for the Republican.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I tell you her name, but nobody can pronounce it.
- 10:27Speaker 1: It's Kamaradi something. But just look for the Republican attorney
- 10:34Speaker 1: general candidate. That's who you want. Letitia James. And by
- 10:39Speaker 1: the way, if you want, you can go on YouTube
- 10:41Speaker 1: or somewhere and see this debate last night. This Republican
- 10:44Speaker 1: candidate was very strong against Letitia James. hit her with
- 10:49Speaker 1: some great shots and Letitia James getting backed into a corner,
- 10:54Speaker 1: didn't know what to say. So she started making up
- 10:56Speaker 1: crap and she started spewing these old lies. At one
- 10:59Speaker 1: point she even said, President Trump put kids in cages.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Now it's New York One, so the moderator naturally didn't say, hey,
- 11:08Speaker 1: that's not true. That's a false story. It's not true.
- 11:11Speaker 1: It's just fake news. I mean, totally just a lie
- 11:14Speaker 1: out of the mouth of Letitia James. You might be saying, wait,
- 11:19Speaker 1: I saw the pictures of the kids in cages. Yeah,
- 11:20Speaker 1: there were pictures of that. They were all taken in
- 11:24Speaker 1: 2008 during the Obama-Biden administration. That's who put the kids
- 11:28Speaker 1: in cages. Those pictures were all done by that Cleveland newspaper, 2008.
- 11:32Speaker 1: That's the kids in cages. That was Obama and Biden
- 11:36Speaker 1: that did that. Hey, later today, there's going to be
- 11:39Speaker 1: a firing squad for this terrorist. This is an amazing case.
- 11:44Speaker 1: The guy becomes an officer. He's a military guy on
- 11:51Speaker 1: our side, an officer, and then somehow becomes a radical terrorist.
- 11:58Speaker 1: He goes nuts on a military base and takes a rifle,
- 12:04Speaker 1: a gun, and starts shooting everybody. He killed 12 of
- 12:07Speaker 1: our soldiers. He shot 20 others. I mean, he's an
- 12:10Speaker 1: absolute terrorist at Fort Hood. He went absolutely nuts, an
- 12:15Speaker 1: army major. just went crazy and started shooting our soldiers
- 12:22Speaker 1: and killed a lot of them. Well, he was convicted
- 12:25Speaker 1: death penalty. They've decided in the Trump administration, Pete Hegseth
- 12:29Speaker 1: has recommended it. Trump has approved it. They're going to
- 12:31Speaker 1: have a firing squad. First one in about a hundred
- 12:34Speaker 1: years in the United States. There's four or five states
- 12:36Speaker 1: that allow firing squads, but they don't really do it.
- 12:39Speaker 1: But the firing squad will be today and you can
- 12:41Speaker 1: watch it. They're going to stream it. It'll be on YouTube.
- 12:45Speaker 1: It'll be on the, uh, government uh the administration streaming
- 12:50Speaker 1: service you can watch the firing squad today here's pete exit.
- 12:53Speaker 9: No brainer execution by firing squad uh army major betrays
- 12:58Speaker 9: his country radical islamist kills a bunch of americans at
- 13:00Speaker 9: fort hood of course we're going to do it at
- 13:02Speaker 9: fort hood we're going to do it on a thursday
- 13:04Speaker 9: we're going to do it at one o'clock which is
- 13:05Speaker 9: when he did it and it's going to be soldiers
- 13:07Speaker 9: with rifles executing the firing squad uh it hadn't been
- 13:10Speaker 9: since world war ii since we've done that.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Did he say thursday no does that mean they already
- 13:16Speaker 1: did it I don't know. But this all happened at
- 13:20Speaker 1: Fort Hood, so he decided to do it at Fort Hood.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Makes perfect sense. That's exactly what you want to do. So, yeah,
- 13:28Speaker 1: there's a lot going on with the races. Oh, there
- 13:32Speaker 1: was another big debate last night. Michigan, you know, you
- 13:34Speaker 1: got the normal guy, Mike Rogers, the Republican, up against
- 13:38Speaker 1: the radical socialist Islam, whatever he is, Mohammed Abdul El-Sayed.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And it was quite a debate they had last night. Now,
- 13:48Speaker 1: the guy is a doctor. You know, there's different kinds
- 13:51Speaker 1: of doctors. There's a doctor where you're actually treating patients
- 13:54Speaker 1: and you're a doctor. Then there's the other kind of
- 13:56Speaker 1: doctor where you're Jill Biden. She was merely an English teacher.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Nothing wrong with that. That's a great thing to be. But,
- 14:03Speaker 1: you know, he keeps saying, Dr. Jill Biden, Dr. Jill Biden.
- 14:06Speaker 1: She was an English teacher at a community college. You
- 14:08Speaker 1: can get a doctorate of education. Monica Crowley is a doctor.
- 14:12Speaker 1: She's got a PhD, but she doesn't go around calling
- 14:14Speaker 1: herself doctor. But some of these people who aren't actually
- 14:17Speaker 1: treating patients run around calling themselves doctor. But there were
- 14:21Speaker 1: some great moments. Here's Rogers in the debate.
- 14:24Speaker 10: What my friend here just wants to do is he's
- 14:26Speaker 10: kind of like a glitchy AI chat bot is say
- 14:29Speaker 10: the same thing over and over and over again.
- 14:31Speaker 1: But let me tell you this.
- 14:33Speaker 10: He has taken money from groups associated and support the
- 14:37Speaker 10: Muslim Brotherhood. He has taken money from individuals on his
- 14:41Speaker 10: campaign who openly support Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you got that problem. And here's Al-Sayed, the radical
- 14:49Speaker 1: nutjob Democratic candidate. I'm going to ask you again tonight,
- 14:52Speaker 1: who do you think is a bigger threat to the
- 14:53Speaker 1: United States, Israel or Iran? You have 60 seconds.
- 14:56Speaker 11: And again, Rick, I'm just going to say that that's
- 14:58Speaker 11: a ridiculous hypothetical. Because here's what's happening right now.
- 15:01Speaker 9: Our.
- 15:02Speaker 11: ostensible ally in Israel.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Now, it is a ridiculous question. Who's a bigger threat,
- 15:06Speaker 1: Israel or Iran? Well, obviously Israel is no threat to
- 15:09Speaker 1: the United States. Iran is the biggest threat. It's a
- 15:12Speaker 1: ridiculous question.
- 15:13Speaker 7: He's right.
- 15:13Speaker 1: But watch, he doesn't answer it. He can't give the answer.
- 15:16Speaker 11: Israel has lobbied us to go to war with Iran.
- 15:21Speaker 11: We have watched as Iran has responded by bombing all
- 15:24Speaker 11: kinds of countries in the Middle East and then choking
- 15:27Speaker 11: off the.
- 15:28Speaker 1: World's energy supply.
- 15:30Speaker 11: So this is a situation in which I don't think
- 15:32Speaker 11: we should be apart. I don't want to be pushed
- 15:34Speaker 11: into war by Israel.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah. Our problem is we don't have the best clip
- 15:39Speaker 1: from the debate, which was he kept calling himself doctor.
- 15:42Speaker 1: He's Dr. El-Sayed. As a doctor, you know, as a doctor.
- 15:45Speaker 1: He's a doctor, as a doctor. Doing this all night.
- 15:48Speaker 1: At one point, Rogers said, keeps calling himself a doctor.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Do you know that if a patient came into his
- 15:54Speaker 1: office and he treated the patient, he could go to jail?
- 15:57Speaker 1: He's not a licensed physician. He's got the title of
- 16:01Speaker 1: doctor with a Ph.D., whatever, some medical training. But he's
- 16:04Speaker 1: not a physician. He's not a doctor. But Rogers was great.
- 16:08Speaker 1: We'll see what that does. The race, believe it or not,
- 16:10Speaker 1: is neck and neck. Al-Sayed has had everybody coming in,
- 16:14Speaker 1: even Obama, everybody coming in to campaign for him. Anyway,
- 16:18Speaker 1: we've got a lot more to get to, lots to
- 16:20Speaker 1: talk about this morning. It's Mark Simone here three hours
- 16:23Speaker 1: every day, 9 to noon, 9 to noon every day,
- 16:26Speaker 1: here on 710WOR. More Mark. Mark Simone.
- 16:31Speaker 7: Mr.
- 16:32Speaker 1: New York.
- 16:33Speaker 6: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon on 710WOR.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Hey, it's Friday. It's a beautiful Friday. It's not going
- 16:43Speaker 1: to be as warm as yesterday, but a nice couple
- 16:46Speaker 1: of days here. Sunny around 70. Rain on Sunday. That's
- 16:52Speaker 1: from a tropical storm that's passing through. We'll get some
- 16:56Speaker 1: remnants of it. Sunday and Monday, you'll have some rain.
- 16:59Speaker 1: It's supposed to rain Monday morning, but I think it
- 17:01Speaker 1: stops in the afternoon. Monday, Columbus Day Parade. Now, there's
- 17:05Speaker 1: a big hurricane in the Gulf of America. First one,
- 17:10Speaker 1: since they renamed it the Gulf of America, the big
- 17:13Speaker 1: hurricane coming through. The problem is.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Nobody could tell you the name of this hurricane. Nobody
- 17:19Speaker 1: knows what the hell the name is. It's not, when
- 17:22Speaker 1: you first look, you think it's Hurricane Isaiah. It's not.
- 17:26Speaker 1: It's Hurricane, I don't know. I can't even tell you
- 17:29Speaker 1: the name of it. Izaiza. Here's the governor of Florida,
- 17:35Speaker 1: and he's warning everybody that this hurricane is going to
- 17:38Speaker 1: hit very hard. It's going to be a rough hurricane.
- 17:41Speaker 1: It's already a Category 3 hurricane. And it's a very
- 17:45Speaker 1: dangerous landfall as expected tonight. It's mostly towards the panhandle.
- 17:50Speaker 1: But listen to the governor of Florida. He can't even
- 17:51Speaker 1: tell you the name of the hurricane.
- 17:53Speaker 3: I don't know how to pronounce this because it's not normal. So,
- 17:56Speaker 3: you know, I'm calling it Isaiah. You guys can call
- 17:58Speaker 3: it what you want. I know that's not how you
- 18:00Speaker 3: pronounce this. It's something else.
- 18:02Speaker 1: But it's weird.
- 18:03Speaker 3: And I'm just going to keep butchering it for the
- 18:05Speaker 3: next 72 hours. And I'd rather just be there.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Yeah, what happened to Hurricane Fred? Hurricane Sally? Hurricane Tom?
- 18:11Speaker 1: Hurricane Jeff? Is, I'm not going to say, is a yes.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Nobody's going to say that. Anyway, Florida, it's mostly the
- 18:24Speaker 1: northern part, mostly the panhandle. It's going to hit, it'll
- 18:27Speaker 1: also hit towards Alabama. President going to campaign this weekend
- 18:32Speaker 1: in Alabama. He'll be in Tennessee. He'll be in Alabama.
- 18:36Speaker 1: One of the reasons you go to Alabama a lot
- 18:38Speaker 1: when you're president, it helps the Florida race, the candidate
- 18:42Speaker 1: for governor, great to Republican, is running, and Byron Donalds.
- 18:48Speaker 1: And if you do a lot of stuff in Alabama,
- 18:51Speaker 1: those media stations, those TV, the media there reaches the
- 18:55Speaker 1: panhandle and the northern part of Florida. So it helps.
- 18:59Speaker 1: In fact, the last visit that Trump made to Alabama,
- 19:02Speaker 1: Byron Donalds went up a point or two. So it's
- 19:05Speaker 1: helping him there. Cornell, well, this case is going to
- 19:10Speaker 1: get messier and messier. They're releasing, now these kids, the
- 19:15Speaker 1: guys in the fraternity, many of them wealthy kids, many
- 19:19Speaker 1: of them have lawyered up. They've got very effective lawyers.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Stuff is being released. Texts, signal chats, texts with the woman. Apparently,
- 19:29Speaker 1: if you read these texts, if you believe these texts,
- 19:31Speaker 1: apparently they'd had sex before. There were a couple of
- 19:35Speaker 1: these guys, one in particular she'd had sex with before.
- 19:38Speaker 1: So it was some kind of, I guess you'd call
- 19:40Speaker 1: it a relationship. And this is going to help these guys.
- 19:44Speaker 1: These guys are going to have uh obviously a tough
- 19:47Speaker 1: time in court but there is stuff on their side
- 19:51Speaker 1: in that the details are kind of foggy and the
- 19:55Speaker 1: woman in her first statement laid out the whole thing
- 19:58Speaker 1: in her next statement the story was different and in
- 20:02Speaker 1: her third statement the story has been different so they
- 20:05Speaker 1: can use that as a defense that uh And she
- 20:08Speaker 1: also admits to being heavily drunk, I mean, on drugs voluntarily.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Had 10 drinks before she got to the fraternity house.
- 20:17Speaker 1: 10 drinks. Have you ever had 10 drinks in your
- 20:20Speaker 1: life at one time?
- 20:22Speaker 11: 10?
- 20:23Speaker 1: She gets to the fraternity house, has another drink. That's
- 20:25Speaker 1: 11 drinks. Then she starts taking drugs voluntarily. So that's
- 20:30Speaker 1: another thing they'll use, that her memory can't possibly be
- 20:33Speaker 1: very good. That drunk, that drugged up. So there's a
- 20:37Speaker 1: lot going on. Now, there's also a civil case in Cornell.
- 20:42Speaker 1: They could settle the case with the woman. That might
- 20:46Speaker 1: help it go away a little bit. Then that might
- 20:49Speaker 1: make them look guilty. So it's a very, very tricky
- 20:53Speaker 1: situation for everybody involved. So this crazy campaign for governor,
- 21:04Speaker 1: it's going to heat up the last A couple weeks
- 21:07Speaker 1: are going to be intense. There is a debate. Again,
- 21:09Speaker 1: it'll be on New York One. Nobody sees New York One.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Absolutely nobody. And New York One is the most biased
- 21:18Speaker 1: place in the world. That's the reason that Democrats will
- 21:21Speaker 1: only to agree only to a New York One debate. Hey,
- 21:25Speaker 1: workers at the Obama Library are upset. This is the
- 21:29Speaker 1: Obama Library. Here's a story you'll only hear here because...
- 21:34Speaker 1: The fake news is never going to mention this, but
- 21:37Speaker 1: apparently workers at the Obama library run by the Obama
- 21:42Speaker 1: of whatever foundation, the workers say they're being mistreated. They
- 21:47Speaker 1: are actually trying to unionize. They say they're being so mistreated,
- 21:51Speaker 1: ridiculous workloads, vague responses from administration. They've had a list
- 21:56Speaker 1: of complaints. Nobody will answer them. This is the Obama
- 21:59Speaker 1: library workers saying they're going to, They're going to try
- 22:02Speaker 1: to unionize. Their benefits have been cut. Terrible situation there.
- 22:06Speaker 1: This is that Obama library that looks unbelievably ugly. Hideous
- 22:10Speaker 1: looking building. Really ugly building. So apparently the treatment of
- 22:15Speaker 1: the workers there are pretty ugly. Hey, also, look at
- 22:19Speaker 1: into this. There's no Joe Biden library on the horizon. Normally,
- 22:26Speaker 1: he's been out a year and a half now. Normally,
- 22:29Speaker 1: the thing would be... under construction already. There's no hint
- 22:33Speaker 1: of a Biden library. This could be the first president
- 22:38Speaker 1: not to have a presidential library. Apparently, nobody's interested. Now,
- 22:44Speaker 1: when you do a presidential library, first of all, you
- 22:45Speaker 1: have to have a place. You have to have somewhere
- 22:48Speaker 1: to build it. And then you got to have donors
- 22:50Speaker 1: that will pay for it. It's always donors. And Biden
- 22:54Speaker 1: was the king of donors. But Apparently, they're all mad
- 22:57Speaker 1: at him. They can't stand him. In fact, most of
- 22:59Speaker 1: them want a refund for the money they gave him before.
- 23:02Speaker 1: They apparently didn't realize that he was just a complete
- 23:05Speaker 1: frozen vegetable, totally brain dead, didn't know where he was.
- 23:09Speaker 1: So nobody's donating any money. Biden has said he wants
- 23:13Speaker 1: it in Delaware. Delaware is not lifting a finger to
- 23:17Speaker 1: do anything about it. He at one point, I guess
- 23:21Speaker 1: his people approached the University of Delaware and and asked them,
- 23:26Speaker 1: they were always pretty Biden-friendly, asked them, could they take
- 23:29Speaker 1: a building and call it the Biden Library? And that way,
- 23:32Speaker 1: he can pretend he's got a presidential library. But so far,
- 23:36Speaker 1: they haven't agreed to do that. This will be the
- 23:39Speaker 1: first president without a presidential library. Now, probably somebody, somebody
- 23:46Speaker 1: must still like him. He'll kick in a few bucks,
- 23:48Speaker 1: and they'll create maybe a bookmobile or something. That'll be
- 23:51Speaker 1: the presidential library.
- 23:53Speaker 9: But.
- 23:55Speaker 1: It's a year and a half now. Nothing has happened
- 23:57Speaker 1: so far. Hey, we've got a lot to get to.
- 23:58Speaker 1: We'll get to Scott Besson. We'll get to the Wall
- 24:01Speaker 1: Street Journal, no longer a newspaper, now a crazy tabloid.
- 24:07Speaker 1: We'll get to that coming up. A lot to talk
- 24:09Speaker 1: about today. We'll take some calls in a little while
- 24:13Speaker 1: on 710WOR. Now, much more Mark. Mark Simone. Now, 9
- 24:19Speaker 1: till noon weekdays.
- 24:21Speaker 8: On 710WOR.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Hey, so the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded today. Now,
- 24:29Speaker 1: this Nobel Prize is one of the silliest. It would
- 24:33Speaker 1: be a good thing if it were legitimate, but it's
- 24:35Speaker 1: the most biased left-wing nonsense in the world. You remember
- 24:40Speaker 1: Obama was given a Nobel Peace Prize the day he
- 24:44Speaker 1: got elected. He hadn't even started yet. He hadn't even
- 24:46Speaker 1: done anything. It wasn't even possible for him to do anything.
- 24:49Speaker 1: He just got elected. He hadn't taken office. Nobel Peace Prize. Why?
- 24:52Speaker 1: He's a Democrat. Now, President Trump loves tooting his own horn,
- 24:58Speaker 1: and there he was earlier this week saying, you know,
- 25:01Speaker 1: I settled seven wars. I got all the hostages back.
- 25:06Speaker 1: What more do you have to do to get a
- 25:07Speaker 1: Nobel Prize? Well, you got to not be a Republican.
- 25:10Speaker 1: You have to not be a conservative. They should just
- 25:12Speaker 1: call it the Democratic Peace Prize. And what they yet
- 25:15Speaker 1: like to do, Trump makes a good case there. He
- 25:18Speaker 1: has settled a bunch of wars. He did get all
- 25:21Speaker 1: the hostages released. He did free a couple of countries
- 25:25Speaker 1: from evil dictators, so normally that would get you a
- 25:28Speaker 1: Nobel Peace, but no, no, no. So they awarded it today,
- 25:32Speaker 1: like they usually do in these cases, to an absolutely
- 25:35Speaker 1: useless person who's done absolutely nothing concrete about anything. She
- 25:40Speaker 1: looks like a very nice woman, but the winner of
- 25:43Speaker 1: the Nobel Peace Prize is the UN Human Rights Chief,
- 25:48Speaker 1: Navi Pillay. She's a judge on the International Court of Justice. Ooh,
- 25:54Speaker 1: the International Court of Justice. Now, that's one of those fake,
- 25:58Speaker 1: made-up courts that has no authority, no power. It doesn't
- 26:01Speaker 1: actually do anything. She's South African-born. She's 85 years old.
- 26:06Speaker 1: She's recognized for her efforts to promote peace. Well, I
- 26:11Speaker 1: will give her credit for that. She has done everything
- 26:14Speaker 1: she can to promote peace. And unfortunately, there's nothing she
- 26:19Speaker 1: can do about it. And she's never actually gotten anything done.
- 26:22Speaker 1: But the Nobel Committee says her work is a source
- 26:25Speaker 1: of hope and inspiration to all those who seek to
- 26:30Speaker 1: bring out a more peaceful world. But again, she's never
- 26:33Speaker 1: actually accomplished anything. Not that she hasn't tried. She just
- 26:36Speaker 1: has no power to do anything except write some poems
- 26:40Speaker 1: and make a speech at the UN. Outside of that,
- 26:43Speaker 1: she's never actually gotten any peace anywhere. But she's the Nobel.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Peace Prize winner. Anyway, let's take some calls. Let's go
- 26:51Speaker 1: to Sal in Yonkers. Sal, how you doing?
- 26:54Speaker 7: Hi, Mark.
- 26:56Speaker 8: Why can't Bruce Lakeman force News 1 to simulcast the
- 27:02Speaker 8: debate on all the News 12s throughout New York State?
- 27:05Speaker 1: Well, because nobody sees the News 12s either. Nobody sees those.
- 27:10Speaker 1: The total of New York 1 plus News 12 comes
- 27:13Speaker 1: to about 42 viewers. That's it. Nobody sees them. That's
- 27:18Speaker 1: the answer. Now, what he should do, he'll be with
- 27:22Speaker 1: us later in the show. I mean, I don't know.
- 27:24Speaker 1: There's nothing you can do. I guess he already has.
- 27:26Speaker 1: You demand that she do a debate on a real
- 27:29Speaker 1: TV station. You know, they've both been approached by Channel 2,
- 27:33Speaker 1: Channel 4, Channel 7 to do debates. Hochul has turned
- 27:37Speaker 1: them all down, refuses to do it. This is with
- 27:41Speaker 1: all the Democrats, Letitia James and the rest. They'll only
- 27:44Speaker 1: do New York 1 because nobody sees it. And it's
- 27:47Speaker 1: very biased, very left-wing. That's the only place Democrats will debate.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Let's go to Dennis in Long Island. Dennis, how are
- 27:56Speaker 1: you doing?
- 27:57Speaker 8: I'm well, Mark. Good morning to you. So Obama is
- 28:00Speaker 8: going into campaign for Abdul El-Sayed. My comment is, I
- 28:05Speaker 8: guess it just tells you all you need to know
- 28:08Speaker 8: about Obama and where his loyalties lie.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Well, it's the Democrats, and he loves the radical Democrats.
- 28:15Speaker 1: But here's the thing. It's kind of an insult to Al-Sayed. Normally,
- 28:20Speaker 1: Obama would just come and do a rally with you.
- 28:24Speaker 1: He'd get up there. He's a great talker, that Obama.
- 28:27Speaker 1: He'd get up there with Al-Sayed, endorse him, make a
- 28:31Speaker 1: big pitch. But apparently, Obama knows this Al-Sayed is a dirty,
- 28:36Speaker 1: creepy guy. So he's asked the other candidates to come.
- 28:41Speaker 1: the candidate for governor, the candidate for Congress, all the other,
- 28:44Speaker 1: he wants all the other candidates there. And he's bringing
- 28:46Speaker 1: some other Democrats to be with him. So it'll be
- 28:49Speaker 1: like a group thing. It'll not look like it's him
- 28:52Speaker 1: and Al-Sayed together. So he's trying to distance himself. Even
- 28:58Speaker 1: in the rally, we're supposed to be supporting Al-Sayed. Even there,
- 29:01Speaker 1: he's trying to give himself cover 12 different ways for
- 29:04Speaker 1: being anywhere near Al-Sayed. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 29:09Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 29:11Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Yes, Mike.
- 29:13Speaker 7: I always appreciate the foul, the faux indignation by guys
- 29:18Speaker 7: like Mondani as he's talking about the shooting incident.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I think that was real. I think that he was
- 29:25Speaker 1: really in a rage. You know, when you come and
- 29:27Speaker 1: kill one of our criminals, that's his thing, defending these criminals.
- 29:31Speaker 1: You come and go after one of our criminals, he
- 29:33Speaker 1: can go into a rage.
- 29:34Speaker 7: Well, you're right. The full part I'm talking about is
- 29:37Speaker 7: how he's outraged that they were in plain clothes and
- 29:40Speaker 7: they put him in an unmarked car. Well, his security
- 29:42Speaker 7: detail is in plain clothes. And the police department, the NYPD.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Has plenty of unmarked cars. He has a slight point.
- 29:50Speaker 1: The ICE agents apparently were wearing construction worker kind of clothes,
- 29:53Speaker 1: so they look like construction workers.
- 29:56Speaker 5: Undercover.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Okay, but the NYPD undercover detail that protects Mamdani, Helen
- 30:02Speaker 1: Keller could tell those are cops. They pull up in
- 30:05Speaker 1: these black SUVs. They've got 47 antennas on top. They've
- 30:09Speaker 1: got the cop suits. They've got the earphones. You could
- 30:12Speaker 1: tell they're cops from a mile away. There's no doubt.
- 30:15Speaker 7: That's true. I just find it interesting that ICE can
- 30:18Speaker 7: do nothing right. By the way, I could argue that
- 30:22Speaker 7: this guy was still on the street because of guys
- 30:24Speaker 7: like Mondani and Hochul's crime, the way they treat criminals.
- 30:29Speaker 7: The guy was a cop to grand theft, and he
- 30:33Speaker 7: was out on five years probation. So he should have
- 30:37Speaker 7: been in jail, and he would have been on the street,
- 30:39Speaker 7: and he would have gotten shot, and so on and
- 30:41Speaker 7: so forth.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Yeah, also, if Mamdani and Hochul and the rest would
- 30:45Speaker 1: cooperate with ICE, this is what Blakeman does in Long Island.
- 30:48Speaker 1: He sends his local police with them. They know the streets.
- 30:52Speaker 1: They know what's going on. And they make sure that
- 30:54Speaker 1: things go in an orderly way. So Blakeman will be
- 30:56Speaker 1: here later. We'll ask him.
- 30:57Speaker 8: Exactly.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Hey, where are you in Florida? Are you on the north?
- 31:00Speaker 7: No, I'm on the east coast, just above Florida. Palm Beach,
- 31:07Speaker 7: 40 minutes north of Palm Beach. So I'm not getting
- 31:09Speaker 7: any of that hurricane, thankfully.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Let's hope not, but you might get something later this year.
- 31:14Speaker 1: What do you people do down there when these hurricanes
- 31:16Speaker 1: keep coming?
- 31:19Speaker 7: I personally cower and talk about driving north.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I know, but you all say, every one of you,
- 31:24Speaker 1: you say, well, I'm not going to live up there.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I can't deal with the snow. That's like two weeks
- 31:29Speaker 1: a year. You don't mind the hurricanes? I'd rather have snow.
- 31:32Speaker 7: I hate the hurricanes. I hate the hurricanes, and I'd
- 31:34Speaker 7: rather have the snow. I just can't afford $ 6, 000 a
- 31:37Speaker 7: month of rent. That's the problem. All right, but.
- 31:41Speaker 1: It's getting more and more expensive down there. You know
- 31:43Speaker 1: why it's $ 6, 000? You know why it's so expensive to
- 31:46Speaker 1: rent a place in New York? Because everybody wants to
- 31:49Speaker 1: be here. Everybody's coming here.
- 31:51Speaker 8: Absolutely.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:53Speaker 7: And it's always been expensive. As I said before, when
- 31:55Speaker 7: I first moved in 40-some odd years ago, my $ 350
- 31:58Speaker 7: a month studio was expensive. Yeah. I get it. And
- 32:04Speaker 7: by the way, everything else down here is the same
- 32:06Speaker 7: price as it is in New York. Food, gas, it's
- 32:10Speaker 7: just cheaper to own a home.
- 32:12Speaker 1: And no tax. Good call as always, Mike. Thanks for calling.
- 32:18Speaker 1: One more. Let's go to Hal in Freeport. Hal, how
- 32:21Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 32:22Speaker 5: Hey, how are you doing? Don't waste bullets on this guy.
- 32:26Speaker 5: Just throw him in the pool with piranhas. The Washington pool.
- 32:32Speaker 5: And don't throw him on with his clothes on.
- 32:35Speaker 1: So, yeah, throw him in the pool of piranhas. I
- 32:38Speaker 1: like this. This is the Largo, the villain in Thunderball.
- 32:41Speaker 1: This is his approach. Remember, he threw Bond in the
- 32:43Speaker 1: pool with the sharks.
- 32:45Speaker 5: But don't throw him in naked. Nobody wants to see
- 32:48Speaker 5: his unit.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, calm down, calm down. You're getting a little perverted.
- 32:52Speaker 1: First of all, a bullet is 25 cents. You know
- 32:55Speaker 1: how much it costs to have a pool, to maintain it,
- 32:57Speaker 1: to have piranhas? You've got to take care of them.
- 32:59Speaker 1: You've got to feed them.
- 33:00Speaker 7: The pool is already there.
- 33:02Speaker 1: The pool's there. It's not as easy as you think.
- 33:06Speaker 1: You've been watching too many Bond movies. Thanks for calling.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Remember that movie, Thunderball? And the guy had the pool,
- 33:13Speaker 1: beautiful swimming pool on his estate, but it had these
- 33:17Speaker 1: things that would open up and sharks would come out
- 33:19Speaker 1: and eat you. Remember? Didn't he throw Bond in there
- 33:21Speaker 1: at one point?
- 33:22Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 1: But again, that's a movie. You can't do that in
- 33:25Speaker 1: real life. Listen, it was a terrible shooting. Mamdani, had
- 33:33Speaker 1: he cooperated with ICE, had he put local cops with them,
- 33:36Speaker 1: things would have gone in a much smoother way. Now,
- 33:39Speaker 1: the DHS is confirming, absolutely confirming, that there was body
- 33:45Speaker 1: camera footage of this. Now, they haven't released it yet. Now,
- 33:48Speaker 1: it's a little suspicious, but we'll see. If they release
- 33:51Speaker 1: the body camera footage, and it's as the officer said,
- 33:54Speaker 1: that the guy tried to run them over, he tried
- 33:56Speaker 1: to ram them with his car, It then becomes a
- 33:59Speaker 1: totally justified shooting. In any law enforcement agency in America,
- 34:05Speaker 1: if you're standing there and he's going to try to
- 34:07Speaker 1: run you over and kill you, you are justified in
- 34:09Speaker 1: stopping him. So we'll see. We'll probably hear about that
- 34:13Speaker 1: later today. We'll keep covering it all morning. We've got
- 34:15Speaker 1: lots to get to today. Mark Simone here. Nine to noon.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Three hours now. Nine to noon every day. And then
- 34:22Speaker 1: at noon, Buck and Clay with a really good show
- 34:24Speaker 1: for you. And then the most listened to radio show
- 34:27Speaker 1: in all of America. Sean Hannity at three. You got
- 34:30Speaker 1: Jesse Kelly at six. The very funny Jimmy Fallon. Nine
- 34:34Speaker 1: to midnight. All that's here on 710WOR. It's the Mark
- 34:39Speaker 1: Simone Show.
- 34:40Speaker 9: Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Well, hey, it's going to be a beautiful day today. Oh,
- 34:48Speaker 1: not as warm as yesterday. Yesterday was really great. It'll
- 34:51Speaker 1: be about 70 today, but sunny. And then another nice
- 34:54Speaker 1: day tomorrow. And then this tropical storm. We're going to
- 34:58Speaker 1: get some remnants of it. So we're going to have
- 35:00Speaker 1: rain on Sunday into Monday morning. It looks like it
- 35:04Speaker 1: may stop by afternoon because you've got the Columbus Day
- 35:07Speaker 1: parade in the afternoon. So we've got a lot to
- 35:11Speaker 1: get to. Two more hours to go. We'll talk to
- 35:13Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman about the governor's race. We will get to
- 35:17Speaker 1: Mamdani and his overreaction to ICE. Now, ICE, well, we'll
- 35:23Speaker 1: see what the body cam shows. But Some stuff has
- 35:26Speaker 1: come out about Mamdani last night in those phone calls
- 35:29Speaker 1: with the White House. Well, we'll get to that. His behavior,
- 35:34Speaker 1: a little questionable. Also, we'll get to Mamdani may have
- 35:36Speaker 1: crossed a line on October 7th. A lot of people
- 35:39Speaker 1: that were defending him, no longer defending him. His anti-Semitism
- 35:44Speaker 1: really crossed a line on October 7th. Some people that
