- Craig: Welcome back to Fat Daddy Sports. Week four was full of so many injuries, so many breakouts. Today we're taking a look at week five waiver wire pickups. So stay tuned. We saw so many injuries to big name guys this week in fantasy football. Some of them were more serious, but we're talking about them all right now. Before we jump into my top 10 list, I want to name some β maybe honorable mention guys to just kind of be keeping an eye on. The first is Tyreek Hill. I know that that seems like a crazy name, but he is picking up more and more traction as the weeks go by. He's posting more and more videos on social media. Looks a lot more explosive and he could sign with a team any day. I mean, it could be a month, it could be two months, it could be today. Nobody really knows, but β he will be ready to go whenever he signs. Kansas City just had two wide receivers drop to injury this week, so maybe he re signs there with the Chiefs. But keep an eye on Tyreek Hill if you have an empty spot. Another bigger name, β guy that maybe is looking to sign is running back Joe Mixon. He is visiting or was visiting with the Seahawks this past weekend. β maybe looks to sign there. I know that they have a bunch of running backs that are kind of in the mix. Emmanuel Wilson looked good this past weekend, but β Zach Charbonnet should be coming back here soon. And then that leads me right to Zach Charbonnet. He's owned in more than 50% of leagues, but he's only, I think, about 65%. So if he's out there, he's on the waiver wire, go ahead and scoop him up. He was designated to start practicing again last week, opened his three week window. So he should be returning here in the next three weeks. If he's out there, definitely get him on your team. Another guy that we're maybe chasing a little bit at the tight end position is Tyler Higby. Had a big game with Puka Nakua back this week. Saw those targets, he could be a good fill in or a flyer on a bye week. Another guy that is quietly β kind of dominating the league right now, and that's Aaron Rodgers. You know, looking at his stats the last two weeks, well, really in every game, he has thrown 40 passes, 39, 34, and 40. And it's not always pretty, it's not always a great offense that I want a piece of. I've said that multiple times on here, but the last two weeks, he has thrown three touchdowns in each of those games. He's put up basically 24 points in both games the last two weeks. So if you need a quarterback, you're desperately β maybe you're in a really deep league or a two quarterback league. Aaron Rodgers could be somebody that you throw in, but I definitely wouldn't expect it to continue. Indianapolis is who they play next week, and that's a defense that you can definitely take advantage of, followed up by Tampa Bay, and then New Orleans could be a shootout there. So Aaron Rodgers could be somebody that you add on. And then the last guy I want to mention briefly is Dante Myers. β rookie wide receiver for the Bengals. We saw him come in when Jamar Chase and T. Higgins both were banged up in this game on Sunday. And Dante Myers came in and he did not disappoint. Nine targets, seven catches, eighty-two yards. Joe Burrow looked for him early and often. And if Higgins and Chase continue to miss time or do end up missing time, Dante Myers could could fit in there as a flex. I I wouldn't hold my breath, but they do get Miami next week before that bye. So We'll see what T. Higgins' injury ends up looking like. We'll see how long the concussion β costs Jamar Chase. But they do have that bye week in two weeks, so I could see them taking it a little easy on both those guys. All right, let's jump into my top ten β waiver wire ads this week. And starting at number 10 stays right here in Cincinnati for the same reason. β it is Mike Gasicki. We saw him in this past game get five targets, three catches, only forty yards on those three catches, but he was definitely looked for and has Shown a history with Joe Burrow and when T. Higgins or Jamar Chase has missed time, Gasicki gets a big bump up. At number nine is CJ Stroud. He got his star wide receiver Nico Collins back this past weekend, and that did not disappoint. CJ Stroud went 21 of 31 for two touchdowns, 347 yards in this game against Dallas. 23 points. Not terrible. I think better days are ahead, especially now that he has Nico Collins back. I think this passing offense is about to to β Unlock a little bit. If you're in a deeper league, you need a quarterback play. I'm not rushing to the waiver wire to pick up CJ Stroud. He's probably somebody that will clear waivers and you can pick up for free. But keep an eye if you need a quarterback. All right, this guy I have talked about extensively almost every week, and some of the weeks it is ugly. And that's what you're gonna get out of this Minnesota passing offense right now. They're still trying to figure things out. But TJ Hawkinson this past weekend, 13 catches on 13 targets. 119 yards and really should have had 120 yards and a touchdown. β he caught the ball with about two minutes left just before the two-minute warning and fell down at the one yard line as the β Vikings were already up by five and Miami was out of timeouts. So he just kind of did the right football thing and went down, but really should have had a touchdown and an even bigger day. You can see right here, 24.9 PPR points. Would have been an absolutely amazing day for Hawkinson. I mean, it really was. If you started him, you can see right here, only forty percent rostered. β we'll see how long Justin Jefferson is out. But Kyler Murray definitely looked for Hawkinson in this game. And throughout the years, Murray has had that guy that he goes to consistently. Maybe it's going to be Hawkinson even when Jefferson's back. Who knows? But if you need a tight end, TJ Hawkinson could be a great pickup for the rest of the year. All right, this next one is kind of a two-piece. β Jalen Royals and Cyrus Allen. β the Chiefs lost a big piece in their passing game in Taekwond Thornton. If you haven't seen the video, don't look for it. very gruesome ankle injury, lower leg injury, β caught a big pass, β a game in which he caught multiple touchdowns, was on his way to maybe a third touchdown, got tackled, kind of a a hip drop tackle. And it didn't look good for his leg. So he's going to be out for quite some time. And the Chiefs are also lost Rishi Rice in this game to a hamstring issue. We'll see how long that one lingers. But β they need pass catchers right now. Talked about Tyreek Hill maybe signing with them. Who knows when that will be. But for the short term, Jalen Royals is that guy that gets the bump up immediately. Cyrus Allen, maybe in a deeper league, I think could be a good play. β obviously had a ton of hype at camp this year. hasn't really translated to anything yet, but I think he is a weapon that they will look to use in the next few weeks. So Jalen Royals, zero percent rostered. Cyrus Allen, eight percent rostered. You could get him in both of your or you could get both of them in your leagues. I can almost guarantee it. If you need wide receiver help, both of those guys could be plug and play guys, β depending on the matchup. The tricky thing with it is you know how Chiefs receivers are, you know how the Chiefs offense is, you never really know what week they're gonna go off. So I wouldn't I wouldn't spend much money at all on either of those guys, β but I would try to pick them up if you have a free spot. All right, speaking of hamstring issues, we saw Devonta Smith miss this game this past weekend, β and it led to a great opportunity for some pass catchers in Philadelphia. None other than Darius Cooper. You can see right here, seven targets, had three catches, two touchdowns, only three thirty-three yards. But when they got in close, Jalen Hurts definitely looked for Darius Cooper. He's all he's again not somebody that I would probably spend a whole lot of money or a high waiver priority on. But if you need wide receiver help and you're in a deep league, he could be a good pickup β based on the matchup. All right, this next one is a little bit interesting. Keon Coleman is a name that has gone round and round over the past few years. But we've seen this year when DJ Moore has missed time. Keon Coleman is a staple in this offense. β in week two against Detroit, DJ Moore went out and β Keon Coleman ended up with six targets, six targets, six catches and sixty-three yards. β in this game, DJ Moore got banged up and went out against New England. Seven targets, six catches, 116 yards, and a touchdown for Keon Coleman. Keep an eye on DJ Moore and what that future looks like, but I think Keon Coleman definitely deserves to be owned, β especially if you were a DJ Moore owner. You need to Check your waiver wires and you could probably get him. You can see he's only owned in 15% of leagues right now. Speaking of looking for somebody, Aaron Rodgers looks for Rowan Wilson early and often in every Steelers game lately. β he is not a big fan of Michael Pittman. DK Metcalf gets four million targets and never seems to catch anything. β he did catch a touchdown recently, but β Roman Wilson is who Aaron Rodgers has been targeting a lot lately. And you can see here in this game against Cleveland, six targets, only was able to catch three of those for 74 yards, but he did have a touchdown. He's got a touchdown in back-to-back weeks. And I think that this Steelers offense is is one that needs playmakers. β Jalen Warren, you've seen his role expand a little bit these last couple weeks. They need that big play potential. And Roman Wilson is that answer for this Pittsburgh offense. I think going forward, he's going to continue to get those. Six to ten targets on a weekly basis. He could be a very, very key wide receiver for you in those deep leagues. Only 8% rostered right now. He's probably out there in your league to go ahead and grab. All right. And then my final two guys on the waiver wire this week, number two and number one, Will Shipley, running back for the Eagles. Saquon Barkley left this game pretty early on with a hamstring issue. We'll see how long that kind of lingers. You never quite know with hamstring issues, β how long they're gonna last, how long they're going to Bother a player if they're going to be reaggated. So Will Shipley could be a good ad this week. I would think, based on other players' timelines, that Saquon will probably at least miss one more game, and Will Shipley could be a good running back replacement for him. Obviously, if healthy, Tank Bigsby would be my number one ad this week. I think that he slots in perfectly for Saquon Barkley. Unfortunately, he left this game. β in the fourth quarter, they didn't really say what it was, but he was missing down the stretch for this Eagles team. β if he's healthy, you get good reports. He's gonna be my number one waiver wire ad this week, especially if we find out that Saquon's going to miss a little bit more extended time. I think Tank Big Tank Bigsby could be a very, very big name going forward for the rest of the season. But that's all I've got for you guys this week. Let me know down in the comments who you're planning on picking up off the waiver wire this week.
