- 1:43Speaker 4: A girl got bit by a barracuda on her family vacation.
- 1:48Speaker 3: I didn't think this actually happens.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Yeah, if you don't know, I just googled what a
- 1:52Speaker 4: barracuda is. It's a large predatory fish. But a thirteen
- 1:55Speaker 4: year old girl was bitten pretty bad by the barracuda
- 1:59Speaker 4: during a family bacer in Turks and Kekos.
- 2:01Speaker 2: But this is what's funny.
- 2:03Speaker 4: She still wants to be a marine biologist even after
- 2:05Speaker 4: getting bit.
- 2:06Speaker 3: That's real dedication.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Listen to this. I did the handstand, just felt like
- 2:11Speaker 2: a lot of pressures.
- 2:11Speaker 4: I just looked up from a hand I just saw
- 2:14Speaker 4: blood everywhere.
- 2:15Speaker 2: It was just blood running through Mike, my whole arm.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 2:19Speaker 4: She was in the ocean doing a handstand, just goofing off,
- 2:22Speaker 4: and it came in.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Up and bitter.
- 2:23Speaker 3: I think that's worse.
- 2:24Speaker 2: It was just like a horror movie. She named the
- 2:26Speaker 2: Barracuda Susie. She's like, I'm not mad at the ocean.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I'm a little mad at Susie.
- 2:30Speaker 4: That's pretty funny that she named it, even after it bitter.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Why it's Super Easy Trivia with the Yelabama Show.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I have real easy questions for you today. Okay, think
- 2:42Speaker 4: you can handle it?
- 2:43Speaker 3: Yes, I can.
- 2:44Speaker 2: You're the contestant today on Super Easy Trivia.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Also, if you'd like to win some tickets, call the
- 2:49Speaker 4: show producer. Blake is winning them for you. Playing the
- 2:51Speaker 4: game right now? Eight three, three, five oh one Bama.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Question number one, Okay, what do pandas eat bamboo?
- 3:00Speaker 2: Joh?
- 3:00Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 3:01Speaker 2: What do humans breathe to stay alive?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Oxygen?
- 3:06Speaker 2: What's the chemical symbol of it?
- 3:08Speaker 3: Oh?
- 3:09Speaker 2: Oh?
- 3:10Speaker 4: Two? Oh?
- 3:11Speaker 2: I was thinking water. I was like, why are you
- 3:12Speaker 2: not saying h to a.
- 3:18Speaker 3: That never? It might be just oh, I think it's
- 3:22Speaker 3: just oh it is just a yeah.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Next question, please, what's the closest.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Star to Earth?
- 3:31Speaker 3: That would be the sun?
- 3:32Speaker 2: For now? What do you mean for now?
- 3:35Speaker 3: If a sudden if a star gets closer than.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Are we aren't we in a black here?
- 3:40Speaker 5: Just there's three things you need to know.
- 3:55Speaker 4: The elem Turkey Creek just added three hundred and twenty
- 3:58Speaker 4: eight acres and is now Jefferson County's third one thousand
- 4:01Speaker 4: acre nature preserve. The other two are Red Mountain Park
- 4:05Speaker 4: and Roughner Mountain Nature Preserve. There's going to be a
- 4:07Speaker 4: celebration at Turkey Creek next Wednesday, August fifth, if you
- 4:11Speaker 4: want to go at the Nature Preserve Bazilion pavilion at
- 4:14Speaker 4: ten AM. American Idol renewed for season twenty five, with
- 4:18Speaker 4: auditions launching on August twenty fifth with the Idol Across
- 4:22Speaker 4: America Virtual Nationwide Search. The competition is going to hold
- 4:26Speaker 4: auditions across all fifty states and run through September twenty eighth.
- 4:29Speaker 4: So if you know somebody that's a really good singer,
- 4:32Speaker 4: I'd say hey go audition for American Idol. BTS is
- 4:36Speaker 4: protesting the Grammeas because of the Grammeas new category. They
- 4:39Speaker 4: added a few new categories for the twenty twenty seven Grammys,
- 4:42Speaker 4: and one of the category includes Best Asian Pop Music Performance,
- 4:47Speaker 4: which specifically recognizes K pop, J pop, and C pop.
- 4:52Speaker 4: BTS is not happy about it. All seven members refuse
- 4:55Speaker 4: to submit themselves for consideration. Yesterday they posted a message
- 4:59Speaker 4: on their end to Graham and Korean and it translates too,
- 5:03Speaker 4: we have decided not to enter the Grammys this year.
- 5:05Speaker 4: I hope music itself can be heard and loved rather
- 5:07Speaker 4: than being distinguished by region or language. Recording at Academy,
- 5:12Speaker 4: CEO Harvey Mason Junior issued a statement saying he's disappointed
- 5:16Speaker 4: in their decision, and the new category was created to
- 5:19Speaker 4: quote celebrate the depth, diversity, and extraordinary growth of pop
- 5:24Speaker 4: artistry coming out of Asia. So that's what's going on
- 5:26Speaker 4: with the Grammys. A little bit of drama right now.
- 5:28Speaker 4: And that's three things you need to know more. At
- 5:31Speaker 4: the Alabama Show dot com, you are listening.
- 5:34Speaker 1: To the Alabama Show on demand.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Me Mall, my grandmother who raised me, almost lost a baby.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Can you give me more?
- 5:44Speaker 4: Thanks for listening to the Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 5:46Speaker 4: producer Blake. My grandmother me Mall goes to stay at
- 5:49Speaker 4: my little cousins Hannah one week on, one week off.
- 5:51Speaker 4: My little cousin Hannah is the voice of what the
- 5:55Speaker 4: hell headlines. We're all close. Me Moll basically raised me
- 5:58Speaker 4: and Hannah, so we're like sisters. Hannah has a two
- 6:01Speaker 4: year old almost two year old. Yes, and I have said,
- 6:05Speaker 4: I have said to everybody, y'all, mem doesn't need to
- 6:09Speaker 4: be watching this baby by herself because my grandmother, Mama
- 6:11Speaker 4: is eighty one years old.
- 6:13Speaker 2: She's starting to get all the old lady health problems.
- 6:15Speaker 4: She's falling. She can't keep up with the kid. Like
- 6:18Speaker 4: she tried to change Ida's diaper. Ida's the baby. She
- 6:21Speaker 4: tried to change her diaper a few weeks ago, and
- 6:23Speaker 4: she went running through the house with a poopy diaper
- 6:25Speaker 4: and me Mom couldn't catch her, and it was a
- 6:27Speaker 4: crap show.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Literally. Okay, so here's what happened this week.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Yeah, Ida the baby locked herself in me Ma's bedroom
- 6:37Speaker 4: he me mam.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Is not instead bedroom and could not get her out.
- 6:42Speaker 4: And was hysterical because me Ma, I love my grandmother.
- 6:46Speaker 4: But in an emergency situation, there's two kinds of people,
- 6:50Speaker 4: the people who stay calm and handle it, and the
- 6:52Speaker 4: people who go into hysterics and act like crazy people
- 6:55Speaker 4: running around with their head cut off.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I have a guess, so which one Mema is based off.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Hell was going not the calm one.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Yep. She started trying to call everybody. She was called
- 7:05Speaker 4: Hannah's a second grade teacher. She was at school getting
- 7:07Speaker 4: ready for school to start next week.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Maybe daddy was nowhere.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Me Ma couldn't get anybody on the phone. Finally, a
- 7:14Speaker 4: family friend came and walked in the door, who was
- 7:17Speaker 4: already on her way there to pick up the baby
- 7:19Speaker 4: and take her, I don't know, to a water park
- 7:21Speaker 4: or something and pop the door open with a butter knife.
- 7:26Speaker 4: But Mema, I was like, well, what was going on
- 7:28Speaker 4: with the baby? Because obviously, worst case scenario, a two
- 7:31Speaker 4: year old likes themselves in a room you don't know
- 7:33Speaker 4: it's and mama's got her own bathroom, so like you
- 7:36Speaker 4: think they're head happen.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Anything could happen.
- 7:39Speaker 4: No, me Ma was panicking so bad that the baby
- 7:42Speaker 4: was inside.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Mem All kept going turn the knob, turn the knob.
- 7:46Speaker 4: And the baby was in there, crying, beating the door.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Saying me Mom and me. Mom was on the other
- 7:54Speaker 2: side of the door going turn the door, knob.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Turn the doe down. She just made it worse.
- 8:03Speaker 2: I was so traumatized. By the time they got the
- 8:06Speaker 2: door open. They said, she just screamed for an hour, going.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Neighbor, well does she lock the door? She got the consequences.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I know.
- 8:15Speaker 4: I was like, anyway, I call the show. This is
- 8:18Speaker 4: ever if you've got a baby and your baby does
- 8:20Speaker 4: stuff because Terrible twos. It's in eight three three five
- 8:24Speaker 4: oh one. Bima is the number. That's eight three three
- 8:26Speaker 4: five oh one two two sixty two.
- 8:28Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know you with the
- 8:31Speaker 1: Elevema Show.
- 8:32Speaker 4: We have a new Brazilian dessert shop now opening Hoover
- 8:35Speaker 4: right off I four fifty nine.
- 8:37Speaker 2: So chef Vivian, who is a native of Brazil.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Uh. She started out making cakes for neighbors and friends.
- 8:43Speaker 2: And then it was really really good.
- 8:45Speaker 4: So you can go get artisan cakes coffee. I can't
- 8:49Speaker 4: even pronounce what these desserts are, but they sound good.
- 8:51Speaker 4: It's a Brazilian dessert shop. It's called Cake Me Up
- 8:54Speaker 4: in Hoover right off four fifty nine.
- 8:57Speaker 2: If you want to go check it out.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Diddy's prison release date just moved up again. His new
- 9:02Speaker 4: release date is January twenty fourth of twenty twenty eight,
- 9:04Speaker 4: according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website.
- 9:07Speaker 2: This is a month earlier than his.
- 9:09Speaker 4: Previous release date of February twenty third, twenty twenty eight,
- 9:12Speaker 4: which before that it was April twenty twenty eight, and
- 9:14Speaker 4: before that it was June twenty twenty eight.
- 9:16Speaker 2: So we don't know why the release date.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Keeps getting bumped up, but it does something to note.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Katie Perry got trapped inside a giant inflatable bottle during
- 9:27Speaker 4: her performance.
- 9:28Speaker 3: What was she doing in an inflatable bottle?
- 9:31Speaker 4: She was crowdsurfing in at the giant inflatable bottle and
- 9:35Speaker 4: the crowd was They carried it to the back of
- 9:38Speaker 4: the crowd, which is not where it was supposed to go.
- 9:40Speaker 2: They were supposed to push it to.
- 9:42Speaker 4: The front of the stage where there was a giant straw,
- 9:44Speaker 4: and I guess she would walk through the straw back
- 9:46Speaker 4: on stage and you can hear her saying, push it back.
- 9:49Speaker 2: To the to the straw, get me to the straw.
- 9:52Speaker 2: And they kept going further and further back to.
- 9:54Speaker 4: The back of the crowd as she goes, oh my god,
- 9:56Speaker 4: and then finally they eventually.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Get her back there.
- 9:59Speaker 3: It was that's awesome. The fsa into their own hands.
- 10:04Speaker 4: I mean, if I was Katy Perry or any celebrity,
- 10:06Speaker 4: I'm not jumping in a crowd of all these fans.
- 10:09Speaker 2: The crowd surf no way, and if I'm a fan,
- 10:11Speaker 2: I'm pushing her back.
- 10:13Speaker 4: That's certain things you need to know. More at the
- 10:16Speaker 4: Alabama Show dot com.

- 10:34Speaker 6: living together for two years and he has yet to
- 10:37Speaker 6: propose to me. I mean, it's definitely like we've talked
- 10:40Speaker 6: about it and he always says, yeah, I want to
- 10:44Speaker 6: when the time is right, but it just seems like
- 10:47Speaker 6: the time's never right and it just keeps getting pushed
- 10:49Speaker 6: off and off. So if he doesn't propose to me
- 10:52Speaker 6: by the end of the year, like I'm done, I'm
