- 0:00Speaker 1: The stupidest podcast we've ever done. It's one more thing.
- 0:03Speaker 2: I'm strong, one more thing.
- 0:08Speaker 1: So I'm not even gonna tell you what this is
- 0:11Speaker 1: till after. This is one of those internet challenges that's
- 0:14Speaker 1: happening right now.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Are okay, good?
- 0:40Speaker 1: So the challenge is to exhale all the air out
- 0:44Speaker 1: of your lungs and then try to scream after you've
- 0:47Speaker 1: exhaled all the air out of your lungs. Now, what
- 0:49Speaker 1: ended up being funnier than even people doing that is
- 0:53Speaker 1: Michelangelo's inability to try to do it. So we got
- 0:56Speaker 1: this text, this is un ironic.
- 0:59Speaker 4: We have to do You have that the audio, I
- 1:02Speaker 4: mean we played it at the.
- 1:02Speaker 1: End of the radio show of Michael trying to do it.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Yeah, let's get that.
- 1:07Speaker 1: This is unironically one of the best segments you guys
- 1:09Speaker 1: have ever done. Michael Angelo is killing me, so felt
- 1:14Speaker 1: like we should try it again. Now Michael wants to
- 1:17Speaker 1: watch Katie do it. Yeah, So the problem we are
- 1:20Speaker 1: having is Michael Angelo would breathe all the year out
- 1:23Speaker 1: of his lungs and then take a breath. So this
- 1:26Speaker 1: is what it sounded like earlier when Michael Angelo was trying.
- 1:31Speaker 4: So you took you inhaled, You didn't.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You didn't exhale enough either, it completely exacted. Okay, you
- 1:41Speaker 1: inhaled again.
- 1:43Speaker 4: He can't in heal, no blew out. Then you took
- 1:50Speaker 4: a breath. Okay, I may blow.
- 1:52Speaker 5: I'm gonna just do nothing.
- 1:53Speaker 4: But blow out. Don't take a breath in. I am
- 2:03Speaker 4: just I don't understand. I'm just going out.
- 2:08Speaker 5: That's how I excel.
- 2:09Speaker 3: What do you want?
- 2:10Speaker 1: And for some reason we couldn't explain as you could
- 2:14Speaker 1: hear there?
- 2:14Speaker 4: Yes, what the hell?
- 2:18Speaker 1: I think we need to let him redeem himself. Will
- 2:20Speaker 1: you do it again?
- 2:21Speaker 6: Michael?
- 2:21Speaker 1: I think you fully understand. Now you breathe out all
- 2:23Speaker 1: your air. You do not take in any anymore area.
- 2:25Speaker 1: You just try to scream with no air.
- 2:27Speaker 5: The problem I have is when I, you know, I
- 2:29Speaker 5: breathe it all out, but when I go to scream,
- 2:30Speaker 5: I end up bringing it back in.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Well, control yourself, then, don't. So let's try it.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Let's try it one more time and breathe everything out
- 2:41Speaker 5: and then scream it all exactly. All right, I'll try
- 2:43Speaker 5: there you go. There we go, and this is in
- 2:46Speaker 5: heald so I can get my breath out.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Yeah, here we go.
- 2:50Speaker 6: If you.
- 2:54Speaker 1: You didn't exhale first. You got to exhale first one
- 2:58Speaker 1: more time. I think you can do it. It's like
- 3:00Speaker 1: a how many step processes? Exhale and scream.
- 3:04Speaker 2: It's a two step process and you you don't even
- 3:07Speaker 2: have to take a big inhale, just go and then
- 3:10Speaker 2: try to scream.
- 3:18Speaker 4: This is making me uncomfortable.
- 3:19Speaker 7: Now, Katie, would you exhale all the way and then
- 3:28Speaker 7: first before the scream, don't stream until all the airs
- 3:31Speaker 7: out of your lungs.
- 3:32Speaker 1: So it should take a couple of seconds to get
- 3:35Speaker 1: all the air out of your lungs.
- 3:36Speaker 5: All right, here we go.
- 3:41Speaker 4: There it is okay. He did it.
- 3:44Speaker 1: He did it for some reason, almost made me pass
- 3:46Speaker 1: out listening to you.
- 3:48Speaker 4: I don't know why.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So there you go. I agree with the texture. This
- 3:55Speaker 1: is the funniest thing we've ever done.
- 3:58Speaker 5: And this is catching the country by storm.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah, well, what is your cable out? Yeah? No kidding, Michael.
- 4:06Speaker 4: How are you feeling right now?
- 4:07Speaker 1: You're doing all right?
- 4:08Speaker 4: I'm okay, Okay, we have done.
- 4:11Speaker 1: We've done a couple of these at home. The only
- 4:13Speaker 1: one that pops of mine is the like, eat a
- 4:17Speaker 1: bunch of saltines and try to whistle one. I remember
- 4:19Speaker 1: doing that with the kids class. It goes back to
- 4:21Speaker 1: when I was so fun.
- 4:24Speaker 4: I did that outside a grocery store as like a
- 4:27Speaker 4: six year old. Okay, they recruited me to be part
- 4:32Speaker 4: of that that contest. Really thought, oh, this will be
- 4:35Speaker 4: no problem, and I learned something important that day.
- 4:39Speaker 1: It's one of the great lessons of life about whistling
- 4:42Speaker 1: with a mouthful of dry food. Katie, can you do
- 4:46Speaker 1: the exhaled scream challenge?
- 4:48Speaker 6: I'll right, Nope, I don't know how to do it.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It doesn't feel good.
- 5:06Speaker 4: No, no, no, it doesn't. I'm sure it doesn't. I
- 5:08Speaker 4: won't do it. But I'm an adult. I think we
- 5:13Speaker 4: are the most unfortunate generation of bitter old people because
- 5:21Speaker 4: in the past it struck me in listening to that
- 5:25Speaker 4: internet challenge again. Is that's the sort of thing kids
- 5:28Speaker 4: have done from time immemorial with each other. Sure, but
- 5:32Speaker 4: there there would have been no opportunity for me to
- 5:34Speaker 4: hear it. It's like the the lingo. We're constantly seeing
- 5:39Speaker 4: articles or you know, just memes or hearing whatever about
- 5:44Speaker 4: the latest hip kid lingo and what it means and
- 5:47Speaker 4: what does your kid mean when they say that's so ohio,
- 5:50Speaker 4: I don't care. I don't care. And once I got
- 5:54Speaker 4: done raising my kids, until my grandkids were like sanes
- 6:00Speaker 4: or something, I would not be subjected to any youth slang.
- 6:05Speaker 4: And now because of the Internet, I am I'm the
- 6:08Speaker 4: victim here.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I took a negative turn.
- 6:13Speaker 4: I don't care what kids are saying instead of that's cool.
- 6:18Speaker 4: I don't care. If the word has not existed for
- 6:24Speaker 4: less than thirty years, I don't want to hear it.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Technical developments are an exception. In fact, if Shakespeare didn't
- 6:35Speaker 4: scratch it on a page, I don't need it.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like they change faster now than they
- 6:42Speaker 1: used to probably do. Right, everything else has been sped up.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I mean, because how would you like get
- 6:49Speaker 4: a new slang word somebody in your friend group came
- 6:52Speaker 4: up with it or heard it or something. Right now,
- 6:53Speaker 4: you're subjected every social group around the world, potentially.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Right, if you went from saying cool to awesome somewhere
- 7:01Speaker 1: around nineteen eighty, that would have had to just organically
- 7:05Speaker 1: sweep across the country, probably from California or in one
- 7:07Speaker 1: of the coasts, across the country, very very slowly, whereas
- 7:12Speaker 1: now it's almost instantaneous, and then people that like to
- 7:16Speaker 1: be cool or awesome or tough need to have a
- 7:19Speaker 1: new word all of a sudden. So yeah, they probably
- 7:21Speaker 1: change a lot faster now than they used to.
- 7:24Speaker 4: What's the origin of saying like every other word? Can
- 7:28Speaker 4: we seek out those people and punish them? Hell, that's
- 7:31Speaker 4: the devil's work? Yeah, Satan, Yes, the father of lies.
- 7:34Speaker 4: That's who came up with that? How many? How many
- 7:43Speaker 4: nicknames for Satan? Do you know?
- 7:46Speaker 1: Bill's abub the one I mentioned?
- 7:49Speaker 4: Scratch and scratch. You said the father lies? So I'll
- 7:53Speaker 4: volley back with oh, I know I'm missing a lunch
- 8:01Speaker 4: Yablo b ls above is technically like a mid level devil.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I think I was the guy.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Saytan old scratch. I know I'm missing, So
- 8:16Speaker 4: that must be sleep deprived.
- 8:17Speaker 1: They're all behind using the word like a lot, no doubt. Yeah, Michael,
- 8:22Speaker 1: thank you for giving me the most joy I will
- 8:25Speaker 1: have all day long.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Ye're very welcome.
- 8:27Speaker 1: That was That was the highlight of my day. You
- 8:29Speaker 1: not being able to follow those instructions. I don't know why,
- 8:31Speaker 1: but I really enjoyed that.
- 8:35Speaker 4: In space, no one can hear you scream, but Michelangel
- 8:40Speaker 4: can scream he'd find a way. He did in hail somehow.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Well, join us next time for the other Internet challenge.
- 8:48Speaker 5: You blind your blindfold yourself and run with scissors in
- 8:51Speaker 5: a room full of people. Well, I guess that's it.
