- 0:00Hello and welcome to another episode of the Christian Reef
- 0:02podcast. Today's guest is an actor, a
- 0:04content creator from the UK. His name is James morale.
- 0:07Welcome to the show hide. Oh, hello man, I'm good, man.
- 0:10Thanks for having me on. How are you?
- 0:11Yeah. Pleasure is pleasure, having you
- 0:13on? It's kind of crazy.
- 0:15It's funny, actually, because I feel like in a way, obviously,
- 0:19we're both Aspire. Well, I don't know how far along
- 0:22you are in your acting journey into that, but I am also an
- 0:25aspiring actor. And whenever I'm looking at
- 0:28other people's lives and how busy the ER and then I compared
- 0:30it to mind. It's always interesting.
- 0:32And in this particular week when I was trying to get this
- 0:35interview, it kind of came last minute.
- 0:37That's like, can I fit him in here?
- 0:39I could I could like, I've got time.
- 0:41Let's do it. Let's do it.
- 0:41Let's do it. Yeah, yeah.
- 0:43It's just like that. But yeah.
- 0:47Actually speaking on speaking on like, how far on that in terms
- 0:52of Maximum stuff, I, I chose to do, I thought I could, I thought
- 0:58I'd fit this in, as well, like, in the meantime, I'm We pack it
- 1:00up. I started rehearsals for dr.
- 1:02Jekyll and mr. Hyde on Monday.
- 1:05Okay. And so today, and tomorrow is
- 1:07the last kind of two days I've got before rehearsals start
- 1:10full-time and I thought I want to do something creative and fun
- 1:13and talk about acting because I could see that you were an actor
- 1:16as well and all around creative. I'm sexy guitars in the back
- 1:20there. You've got a really sick pod,
- 1:21cast, set up as well before I do it.
- 1:24You're welcome. And I thought I do it because I
- 1:25love podcast and stuff and don't really get to do it much.
- 1:28So, It kind of surprises me actually, because you've got a
- 1:32bit of a, pretty big following on On Tick-Tock, there's various
- 1:36different types of content. You've been producing?
- 1:39Yeah, I saw like, I was looking at your Instagram.
- 1:41No. Then he's like, you got fans and
- 1:42everything like it's getting there.
- 1:43It's throwing this. Yeah, and obviously, I mean,
- 1:46there is this crossover between those two things between acting
- 1:50and content creation. Because I think I don't know if
- 1:53you use in the same way, but I tend to use social media as a
- 1:55way to try to create more awareness and maybe be visible.
- 1:59Be In you know, because you never know who's watching who's
- 2:02listening as I see one of the questions I wanted to ask you
- 2:05like how how much is Tick-Tock actually helped you to either
- 2:09get rolls or representation or maybe just be seen in general?
- 2:15It hasn't helped in terms of acting Market.
- 2:17My content creating about acting a completely separate, okay?
- 2:20The only the only reason why they're coming together now is
- 2:23because I'm a, I'm going to cater my content towards my
- 2:26active in because I'm doing a job now.
- 2:29Whereas the last two years, when I graduate, I got my agent two
- 2:32years ago in 2020 way, before I even considered getting ticked
- 2:35off because I used to, I used to talk bad on the app, a lot of
- 2:38the time because I'm what I'd watch my siblings on it and I'd
- 2:41be like, it's killing their brain cells are too much.
- 2:43It's too much time spent on their phones and that stuff.
- 2:45So I was like, I refuse to get it.
- 2:47So I got my agent actually in in in drama school in 2020 in March
- 2:52actually when my drama school had to close like every other
- 2:56drama school because of covid. But luckily I had my main When I
- 3:00got seen. So I got all my exposure and I
- 3:02got all of my meetings and all of my opportunities for drama
- 3:07school, actually and then come the back end of 2021.
- 3:14I believe ya, August 20 21. So I moved back to London by
- 3:19this point. I made a video on Tick-Tock and
- 3:22that went viral and then as soon as I was in the algorithm, I
- 3:24kept pumping out content. And so in terms of
- 3:27opportunities, the only opportunities that it social and
- 3:30picked up has brought is me working with Brands and stuff?
- 3:33Which has been quite fun of actually I'm looking at coffee
- 3:34machine right there because I'm working with Lavazza at the
- 3:37moment. But, wow, when it comes to.
- 3:40Yeah, that's that's, that's the fun part.
- 3:42I've got like such a sick often, see it's got Alexa integrated
- 3:45and everything that's freakin nuts.
- 3:47I've made a couple videos for them.
- 3:48I'm just waiting to hear back and all that kind of stuff.
- 3:50But it's also acting opportunities.
- 3:53I haven't had any hasn't opened doors for me in terms of acting
- 3:57- because to be honest, I've kept it kind of I only told my
- 4:01agent really like, a few months ago, it's just a worn them.
- 4:05In case going until it's to guts did did, did start going a bit
- 4:10mad? But, yeah, opportunity-wise
- 4:14Tick-Tock and social media has brought opportunities to work
- 4:18with brands that I like, obviously I, you know, I Kate it
- 4:22a lot of my content before I left the coffee shop about, you
- 4:24know, making coffee, Barista sketches, all this kind of
- 4:26stuff. So, I don't have any problem
- 4:29working. With the coffee company, there's
- 4:31been a load of a load of people that have reached out to me,
- 4:34that I didn't really kind of not agree with.
- 4:37But like I wouldn't use a product.
- 4:39So if I wouldn't use a product I wouldn't try and push it on my
- 4:42followers, went for that and then the acting opportunities to
- 4:46come from. So I got Jekyll and Hyde
- 4:48audition for my agent. I went, I walked up to the
- 4:50audition a week early, which was pointless, but it's good, it's
- 4:54good, it's good. It's like I'm really yes.
- 4:59That's probably what got me the role that in the mustache, to be
- 5:02fair. But no, I've got my acting
- 5:04stuff. It's actually my first proper.
- 5:07I've had a paid acting job, but it was what I did, a short film
- 5:10for the national film, National School of film, and television
- 5:13National film, and television school, and FTS.
- 5:17And I've done two of those. But the in terms of like big
- 5:20kind of first acting jobs, this is my first one and it came from
- 5:25my agent and my auditions and stuff.
- 5:27So, let's timeline this out. So, basically, you're in Theater
- 5:30school. Also drama school just before
- 5:322020. So how do you know?
- 5:34I'm going to ask 26 36. Okay.
- 5:37So how long have you actually been pursuing acting they're not
- 5:40where, where does that start? And why did you actually decide
- 5:44to get into acting or stop pursuing it?
- 5:46I wanted to be an actor was a little boy.
- 5:49I just watch those. I used to but I just used to
- 5:51watch those two films and TV like I used to watch stuff for
- 5:53my only granddaughter lot, my mom all the time and I just
- 5:57earliest memory, is me watching a chip Caray So I believe it's
- 6:01Jim Carrey, and a mix of Jim Carrey's films, and also Brave
- 6:04heart, which is random. It's my favorite film.
- 6:06I'm half Scottish. And so, there's a little bit of,
- 6:09there's a little bit of like Comfort when it comes to watch
- 6:13that film. And I watched it, I really young
- 6:14age as well, which will be should not but I let you down.
- 6:18Okay, it's a sickroom and I watched and I was a to just
- 6:21always say, I want to do what that man on the Telus.
- 6:24Do it. Like just freshly Jim Carrey and
- 6:25stuff. So and then I never did it
- 6:27because I was a young lad in school.
- 6:29So, I was a little, you know, just some not something to the
- 6:33wrong crowds as such. But the, the friends that I hang
- 6:38around with some of my friends to this day, at the point where
- 6:41we were in life weren't really interested in pursuing any kind
- 6:47of anything really. So I just never did.
- 6:49And then Secondary School came around.
- 6:52I did, she probably did more acting in primary school.
- 6:54Then I didn't second Squad in London s school because I was
- 6:57too busy focused on trying to get girlfriends and hang around
- 6:59my mate. Stuff.
- 7:00I've got no gcses and then it was when I left school and I
- 7:03realized I have nothing, I can't do nothing because I screwed up
- 7:10school bad, you know, pretty badly and I didn't have any
- 7:14grades. So then I took a year or year
- 7:17and a half out and then up to a year and a half point, I decided
- 7:20I want to be an actor. I've separated myself from, you
- 7:23know, some people and stuff. So there's no really.
- 7:27There's really no excuse and that's what I want to do more
- 7:29than anything. So I started when I was 18, I
- 7:31had an audition at college, so do Performing Arts, get like a
- 7:34btech so I could have greatest you and drama school and I did
- 7:38the audition. At the end of the audition.
- 7:40I had a meeting with the two teachers Jason and Jason and
- 7:43David, I'm really good friendship out and they were
- 7:46like we don't have any you don't have any grades for us to let
- 7:48you on the course but but like we can't we really want yet.
- 7:54We're not going to give we're not going to put you on the
- 7:56level 2 course because you're a bit older and your bit more
- 7:58advanced. So Just squeeze you one and see
- 8:01what we can do and I ended up getting on.
- 8:03But then when I got on, I had to do my English and maths again on
- 8:07top of doing my performing arts and stuff.
- 8:08And so, I started really proper acting when I was when I, when I
- 8:1117 just turning 18 and I'm 26 now, Damn what a day.
- 8:17I just didn't thrilled by that. That's, that's amazing, man.
- 8:20I mean it kind of just on the note of exams in general, like I
- 8:24remember because I was simran, a dime, 29 some, a few years older
- 8:28than you, but I do remember being at school and then laying
- 8:30it on thick about like, or if you fail, your mass and your
- 8:33English, you'll be screwed forever.
- 8:35You'll never get anywhere in life.
- 8:36Like, they, they really make you feel like there's quite
- 8:39terrifying and then you discover that it's harder, don't get me
- 8:42wrong. But at the same time, it's not
- 8:45really the end of the world. Like Will always be
- 8:46opportunities and you just lay one out there.
- 8:49It's all about the people you meet and making the right
- 8:51impression particularly in acting, you know, it's tough to
- 8:55see what the acting industry. It's not what you know, it's
- 8:57who, you know. And one thing I'm discovering
- 9:00more and more as a try to get into Industries, like networking
- 9:03and how you present yourself, and it kind of it's across
- 9:08everywhere as well because obviously, we were speaking
- 9:10earlier about how now you're taking a closer, look at
- 9:13changing your content and so that it's More reflective of you
- 9:17and what you're trying to do and I've been doing the same
- 9:20recently. I've been like kind of delete no
- 9:22old stuff and looking at, like, okay what does this say like
- 9:26this is, okay, it's okay to be silly, but then does this give
- 9:29the wrong impression of someone's looking and so on.
- 9:31And it's like there's so many things you got, think about
- 9:34this, this food. It's, but I can't lie to you,
- 9:37right? One of the read.
- 9:39One of the things that causes me the most stress is feeling like
- 9:42I have to fit in a box to a certain degree.
- 9:44Because in a sense of In a sense of like when creating content,
- 9:48for example, you always have to be careful with with what you
- 9:55put out online because of your digital footprint.
- 9:58You know. I'll tell you a funny story.
- 10:00For example, I work at the coffee shop.
- 10:02Yeah, and I did take to upload to the coffee shop.
- 10:05We start five two five to seven hundred people watching on a
- 10:08live. Whilst I was making coffees and
- 10:10messing around and I sing a lot of musical songs as well, and
- 10:13I'd seen to one of our paint brushes in the paint brushes
- 10:15that we use was too. Just get rid of coffee dust off
- 10:17the side of the camp. I didn't use it for nothing
- 10:20other than cleaning up. In fact, we never actually use
- 10:24that exact coffee brush because it was a bit, it just wouldn't
- 10:27just doesn't get in the right places.
- 10:29Anyway, and you have, obviously we've got with anywhere between
- 10:33five to seven hundred people watching.
- 10:34You have a lot of trolls. You have the few, like, people
- 10:36are just out there to like, kind of catch you out and try.
- 10:38And, you know, there's always somebody scream reported for
- 10:40example. So, somebody was screaming
- 10:42calling me. I didn't realize know like they
- 10:44made a comment about The brush or something or something.
- 10:49And I just got sarcastic and I said, right?
- 10:53Excuse this this is completely out of pocket, completely out of
- 10:56character, right? But I'll made a joke.
- 10:58I was at, right? Not obviously, I'm not going to
- 11:00like clean the brush after I sing it.
- 11:02So I'm going to put on my butt and then I'm going to make a
- 11:04latte and stir it. And with the brush, give it to a
- 11:06customer, right? Obviously, I'm joking, right?
- 11:09I tried to say the crew disfigure and then about 20
- 11:13minutes later, my boss comes in comes running in with his And
- 11:17he's like, I just had this message come through because
- 11:19yeah, they live down the road, like, was a very intimate, like
- 11:22independent, coffee shop. And we like my bosses knew what
- 11:24I did, and they were very supportive.
- 11:25And they also understood about trolls and everything.
- 11:28The only thing that they only problem they had was, they
- 11:29didn't want to be receiving stupid messages from people
- 11:31because they have a business to run.
- 11:33And I just wanted some later know, like, I remember when you
- 11:37were working there, like, I don't ever remember, you were
- 11:39very careful to not include like branding stuff.
- 11:42So, how did they find out exactly where you worked like
- 11:45that? Was our I think maybe if you
- 11:47scroll down onto my Barista sketch videos, maybe.
- 11:50But the thing is, it's mirrored, right?
- 11:51So you have to, you have to, you have to save the video and then
- 11:54flip the video and camera roll to see the logo and the logo on
- 11:57the door is white. So when this light coming in,
- 12:00you can't even see it and I always excluded it but there's
- 12:03been a few times where I mentioned it very slow heat.
- 12:04I'm sure I mentioned it and I just think maybe that's just bit
- 12:07me in the ass but he came running in any way.
- 12:10Somebody's screen recorded me saying, I'm going to put a
- 12:12tooth. Okay, bunch of hot buttons.
- 12:13Do it in Stoke of a customer's coffee within give it to a
- 12:16customer. My boss has soared up.
- 12:18So I'm there's the biggest stress for me is when it comes
- 12:23to my acting. I mean adults, right?
- 12:27Grown adults, are smart enough to know to judge a person most
- 12:30of the time, right? But with the thing with the
- 12:33internet, it is ruthless. And there is always a stress.
- 12:36I'm a. So I made a video the other day.
- 12:38It's at one point, I think it's a 1.3 million views now, it's a
- 12:40silly video and it's like a, like a Boyfriend/Girlfriend
- 12:44thing. And I'm I'm basically saying
- 12:48like it's like a sad fate at the end.
- 12:50Like boyfriend says the girlfriend says I'm going for a
- 12:53bath tonight, a boyfriend says, oh can I see some soapy titties?
- 12:57And the gulf was like, no sorry, not tonight.
- 12:59And then it cuts to the boyfriend character with really
- 13:02sad face and I completely understand the the way it could
- 13:10be taken in a sense that Somebody commented saying like
- 13:15this is a representation of our society.
- 13:17And I just think it's obviously obviously in real life, I don't
- 13:22get mad at my girlfriend. If she doesn't, if she doesn't
- 13:26like consent to anything whether or not about sexual or not, if I
- 13:29say do you want to go for a walk and she says no I'm going to
- 13:32respect for boundaries because she's a human being and stuff
- 13:35but it's a silly five-second Tick-Tock and there's and that's
- 13:39the problem. Like the the line is so fine and
- 13:42so when it comes to content, And creating an acting.
- 13:44I'm freaking terrified because I love making content because it's
- 13:48silly and fun and it's an almost it's also a job opportunity and
- 13:51also it's an opportunity to be creative which for me is
- 13:53important but I don't know it. You just always have to be
- 13:59careful and I suppose if you have good intentions, then you
- 14:02have nothing to worry about what I find I have I have pretty good
- 14:05intentions because I what I find important for me as my career
- 14:10and being creative and also just Been having a good quality of
- 14:16life. I don't have any bad intentions,
- 14:17whereas I find where the real danger lies, especially when it
- 14:20comes to content. Creation, is people that have
- 14:23bad intentions, the try to mask it with good are always going to
- 14:26be uncovered and you see that a lot of tick-tock?
- 14:28So the only thing I guess I'll worry about all the time in the
- 14:32pressure on my head is is trying to make content that is never
- 14:35going to bite me in the ass when it comes to Mac dip because I
- 14:37love hope. And my acting is my main fear
- 14:41but I think generally Because I have exactly the same problems
- 14:46and there was there was like there was actually an incident
- 14:49where I'd release the video and I don't know to what extent if
- 14:53this agent was legit or not, but they're an agent reached out to
- 14:56me and it was a great opportunities.
- 15:00Like the first time it's happened and I was really
- 15:02excited and then like maybe an hour later, they're like, oh,
- 15:05actually no. We've seen some video that
- 15:08you've done and now with never want to work with you and again,
- 15:11I'll what? Oh my God, like, What is this
- 15:13video? And then when I saw what the
- 15:14video was, and it wasn't anything too bad, but I can
- 15:17understand why they would be upset with it.
- 15:19And to be fairly they even said, like we're not going to share
- 15:22this because, you know, we think you deserve a chance and you
- 15:24know, but we're not prepared to work with you and that stuck
- 15:28with me ever since then and now I'm same as you.
- 15:31I'm like, really laser focused on what I create what kind of
- 15:34message, it sends out, you know, even just like, basic little
- 15:37things where you think like our this will be funny, this will
- 15:40get people laughing and then but you don't think.
- 15:42About all the ways that people might interpret it and it's Isis
- 15:46hard to be able to know every single way that a potentially, a
- 15:51person, might interpret that. And I think I think what will
- 15:54benefit you and me more is Is holding our own and having
- 15:59Integrity. Again, if you and the people
- 16:03around you. So that agent, for example,
- 16:06dependent, I don't know what the context of the video was.
- 16:08I don't really want to speak on them, I completely understand
- 16:11the line and why people wouldn't would want to work with
- 16:14somebody. They don't understand people's
- 16:16standards and boundaries that's completely up to them.
- 16:18But for example, when it comes to my agent, I feel like I'm
- 16:22very blessed in this sense because there are sensible
- 16:25people and then there are there are people that are so terrified
- 16:30again of everything and you want to work with a sensible people,
- 16:35to people that know, you're a good person to people that know
- 16:37your intentions, the people that know.
- 16:41The difference between satire and yeah, and I guess just being
- 16:47an asshole. So opportunity missed their
- 16:51opportunity. Avoided it's difficult but I can
- 16:56completely understand that the stress of literally post a
- 17:00video. Like what me my girlfriend film?
- 17:03A lot of content together. Right where she films me and
- 17:05it's covid-19 to me on the street stuff and so ironic stuff
- 17:09like it's You know, in my head. I'm thinking this is exactly
- 17:13what these fucking ticked off because think about themselves
- 17:15when they get approached on the street, something like that.
- 17:17But and I have to think, I mean, to be fair, I've done
- 17:19everything. I content online at my teeth.
- 17:21I love that content sometimes. I think, /, think / think the
- 17:24small content where it's like, 57 seconds long, and it's a
- 17:27caption, and you have to think it's ridiculous that you have to
- 17:30think, fuck me. This is, this is how it is, in
- 17:32my head. This is how 97% of people are
- 17:36going to perceive it, but there's always going to be a
- 17:37small percentage of people that are going to see.
- 17:40I like, can I assume you have bad intention site and it's just
- 17:44so it's so overwhelming. When at the end of the day, all
- 17:48you want to do is to make videos and also all you want to do is
- 17:50make funny videos, not even videos to be controversial.
- 17:53Whereas you've got people out there that based their entire
- 17:55personality on that and make loads of money and they have
- 17:57their entire brand on that. And it's like why I'm while we
- 17:59sit here wasting our time beating ourselves up about
- 18:02making a stupid video because we're worried about an agent or
- 18:05a casting director or somebody won't local buzz and that's
- 18:08another thing I'm learning as well.
- 18:10The right people will want to work with you and the more you
- 18:15touch, I try and cater. I'll speak to myself the more I
- 18:17try and catered towards thinking.
- 18:19That I'm going to please somebody that I've never even
- 18:21met nor know exists, the less happy I am, whereas like now,
- 18:25for example, with the Jekyll and Hyde thing, I'm like, well, I'm
- 18:29working with the marketing team and we're going to be making
- 18:31content on both channels mind, are they like you can do
- 18:34whatever you want on your page? But we're on our pain, the
- 18:38diabetes patient, just launched The Tick-Tock they Want to
- 18:41obviously structure the content more and it be a little bit more
- 18:44planned out. And, you know, that kind of
- 18:47stuff. Whereas mine's a little bit more
- 18:48lot of muscle planned out Minds. Look more sporadic and chaotic,
- 18:51and all over the place. So, Dynamite all of the content
- 18:56I've made where I've ever thought it as lat.
- 18:59You know I've still landed in a situation where people real
- 19:03people, real people that are sensible and intelligent enough
- 19:07to see the intentions behind me, as a person of my creativity and
- 19:11content is good and therefore they want to work with me.
- 19:14And so, having integrity and not silencing yourself to a degree.
- 19:20Checking yourself. Holding yourself accountable and
- 19:22being respectful I guess the free gift.
- 19:24You to do but making a concert you want to make eventually will
- 19:30bring the right people around you in the right.
- 19:32So for me I have really bad imposter syndrome.
- 19:34I have no I have no idea why the vast want to work with me.
- 19:36I'm no, I did it. I did a video promoting the
- 19:38Charlie Chaplin documentary that came out a few months ago.
- 19:42No idea why that company film company wanted to work be, but
- 19:44when they reach that arm up, fuck me, like, shit, I've no
- 19:48idea why. Well style, be theater realized
- 19:50I made content because I don't think they realize I did it.
- 19:53Until I was car so I'm not sure I do.
- 19:57I think white I've got all like now I have real-life grown-up
- 20:01man. Responsibilities people actually
- 20:02want to work with me, my content isn't bad because I'm always
- 20:05thinking, my content is going to get me canceled my contents bad
- 20:08this shit all this bad stuff like - stuff?
- 20:11Well actually Not beating yourself up because of that
- 20:16small minority of like, people that get offended by everything
- 20:20is, it's actually a good thing and will work in your favor if
- 20:24you kind of hold your own. But obviously not go out of your
- 20:27way to be a dick but I don't know.
- 20:29I don't think I'm rambling a little bit.
- 20:30No, no I think you're onto something.
- 20:32And I think that what you said before about intention I think
- 20:35is the key with all of this in the day you know you're a good
- 20:39bloke I mean okay that I'm not an expert on you but you come
- 20:42across It is a good guy and I think that the reason I'll just
- 20:46speak on his posture syndrome a second as well.
- 20:48I will say, it's funny to me that the people that are always
- 20:52most talented and the nicest people always have imposter
- 20:55syndrome. That's why people love you
- 20:56because you're a funny guy, you're down to earth.
- 20:59You're you know you're going to go somewhere with it.
- 21:01Like you can you can tell we're certain people that they're
- 21:06going to be successful. There's like it's a combination
- 21:10of things. Part of it is the look part of
- 21:12it is The way they hold themselves, the way they think.
- 21:16I think in this industry that you're getting into as I said
- 21:19before you know it's all about being able to connect people
- 21:22being able to befriend people and make a good impression and
- 21:26you do that all the time and it's just a matter of time
- 21:29really you know it really is the thing, that's the thing when it
- 21:34comes to imposter syndrome it has no It has no.
- 21:40What's the right way that's rubbing.
- 21:41It has no end goal. Nor does it have a face name or
- 21:47chosen demographic? You know, you could have Brad
- 21:50Pitt on the right and you could have Joe the Plumber on the
- 21:55left. Brad Pitt could well, possibly
- 21:59be the most unhappy person, a lot of the time on set because
- 22:05you know, happy person in general, but a lot of time
- 22:07unhappy onset because he's too busy.
- 22:09He worried about whether or not the work he's producing, he's
- 22:12good. But he's Brad Pitt.
- 22:14And what you see with Brad Pitt, you think that's fucking Brad
- 22:16Pitt. Of course, he's this and that
- 22:18but you have no idea. What's going to said, where's
- 22:19Joe? The plumber is probably on the
- 22:20other end light goes home. He's happy.
- 22:23He wakes up. He's happy goes to the job.
- 22:25He's doing fixing the toilet, fixing the sink.
- 22:27He's happy because he's confident in what he's doing.
- 22:31Whereas you know on a the next day it could be the other way
- 22:34around. I had no like Target it's like
- 22:36coronavirus. It doesn't just it doesn't go
- 22:38away at 10 p.m. curfew or it doesn't fucking you know I'm not
- 22:44going to attack that person because they've got a mask on
- 22:46you know. I mean it's like it's really
- 22:48funny that you say that because it is so true.
- 22:50Sometimes the most Genuine people, I think because of
- 22:56imposter syndrome. And because of sometimes, you
- 23:00know, - ways of thinking people, the people that have those kind
- 23:03of traits are the most humble, because they are super
- 23:06self-aware. Of.
- 23:10How they feel when how crappy it is.
- 23:13They wouldn't want anybody else to feel about though is
- 23:16sometimes most well it is sometimes.
- 23:18I guess I don't want to do analyze because I don't know.
- 23:22Probably the people that you least expect it.
- 23:23Whenever I'm watching my favorite actors talk on
- 23:25interviews and stuff, I'll do it all the time.
- 23:28I'm trying to get a bit of clarity on my life and my own
- 23:30and how I work creatively. I don't know, fuck me like
- 23:34Andrew Garfield. For example, I have the same
- 23:36thought processes him sometimes, and I'm like, aw like who's the
- 23:41guy who plays hopper in stranger things?
- 23:43Was his name again. So yeah, so so him, right?
- 23:50For example, listening to his story when he was like being at,
- 23:53he was unemployed for a long period of time and stuff and you
- 23:55know having self-doubt and all this kind of stuff.
- 23:58I might Jesus Christ. It is everybody that you least
- 24:01expect it. To be and I think there's
- 24:04comfort in that too. There it is as an aspiring
- 24:09actor. Anyway, it's Comfort because
- 24:11when I watch, When I'm at vent, when I'm having a shit time
- 24:16unemployed getting rejected I've had about 60 auditions.
- 24:19It's graduating movies TV shows National Theater.
- 24:24I've had reject I've been rejected from every single one I
- 24:26like too impersonal. Ditions it's when we go through
- 24:31that period of rejection, there's nothing more
- 24:35demoralizing in dehumanizing, to be honest because you can't
- 24:38separate. It's hot as an actor, you can't
- 24:41separate yourself from the fact that you're just not that
- 24:45character. You're not right for the
- 24:46character. It's always it always hits
- 24:48personally. So when you cut, when it comes
- 24:52to imposter syndrome or stuff, when things start working out
- 24:53for you, you can't it's impossible to believe or accept.
- 24:57That's my experience, especially with social media feed on it.
- 24:59I'm making videos on Tick, Tock the Sometimes if not 85% of the
- 25:05time I'm just walking down the street or I'm in my room, right?
- 25:08Fuck with my camera out to film a video post.
- 25:10It don't even think twice about, you can ask my girlfriend.
- 25:12She when I stood up, when I used to do a lot of the snapshot, I
- 25:14content, this improvised in impressions of this guy.
- 25:19I'd be laying in bed like will be chilling or something, I'd
- 25:21shoot up and I'll be running around the house, getting a
- 25:23hoodie and a and a cup or like setting a bathroom up and then
- 25:27I'll just film a video and then it B all be done in about 11
- 25:29minutes and then I post it. And the next day it would have
- 25:32half million views. when that stuff's not happening, I'm
- 25:37sitting there, I'm thinking, there's no way this is real,
- 25:39there's no way this is real and it's nowhere or if I'm going to
- 25:41a social media event, I'm like What am I here for like, but,
- 25:45you know, it is. It's just so, it's so
- 25:49fascinating to take a step back and look at all in hindsight,
- 25:51and also from a, from a, from afar.
- 25:54And then look back at interviews of other actors that I love.
- 25:57And look up to and, and, and see how their experience is similar.
- 26:02And that kind of makes me feel less alone I guess.
- 26:05I hear you man. My hey for me, it's kind of
- 26:11Bittersweet but when this on this show, I've had a lot of
- 26:14people who I'm convinced, I'm going to be really, really
- 26:18successful. Be it actors musicians.
- 26:21Whatever the case, maybe you could, it's like I said before,
- 26:23you can just tell, I can just tell you, I think, within the
- 26:25next five years, you'll be within you'll be in something
- 26:28big and people will come back to.
- 26:31This moment will happen, man, it will happen either.
- 26:35I believe it's not just me saying it because you're here
- 26:37and I'm like I wanted to Curry favor like I just I believe it.
- 26:40I really do. I think you can see it in
- 26:42certain people and it's it comes down to different things.
- 26:45It's like I had the feeling that you're not going to give up and
- 26:48it's the same with me. Like I'm not going to give up
- 26:50because I'm just stubborn. But you know it's that kind of a
- 26:53man. I will say this for myself
- 26:59because I've always wanted to Let's go in 1604, has no hope.
- 27:06I need to join the Army, I went to Harrogate, which is where
- 27:08they did two years of army training.
- 27:09And also you do a bunch of like school work, as well as I can't
- 27:13remember what it was all about. But I went to Harrogate for an
- 27:14open day, me and my friends and my family as well, and I was
- 27:18like, I'm joining the Army. Then the only reason why I
- 27:20didn't do it at 16 was because I was scared of being alone and my
- 27:23friend couldn't join because he had to be had to medicate a
- 27:25medical issue. So can join.
- 27:26So I didn't go luckily, I've always had a I did Cadets when I
- 27:30was younger. I've always had a raw
- 27:32fascination with the outdoors, you know, your thoughts beggar?
- 27:34As religiously. I love going to the picture show
- 27:36hiking, Capital that stuff like I and there's something.
- 27:39Dramatic joined me to the Army. And as I got older I kind of
- 27:42developed a fascination with the Marines.
- 27:43I was like the Army's a little bit a little bit.
- 27:47It's not enough for what I want. So the Marines was the next day.
- 27:50Anyway, fast forward to going to college going to drama school,
- 27:55leaving drama school, boom, knock down here.
- 27:58And that's how some in a box room all day every day for eight
- 28:01weeks straight. After that, eight weeks, I've
- 28:04got a job in Each packet Factory because it was one of the places
- 28:07that was open and I needed a job because I wanted to save money
- 28:09to come back to London. So I mean, my make this at got a
- 28:11job at his Factory and every day I was coming home and I was
- 28:15getting more and more depressed because nobody was having
- 28:17auditions. I couldn't think about that.
- 28:19I was just thinking about myself and being about how I'm not
- 28:21getting anything to to auditions that.
- 28:24I had had I got rejected from and I was thinking this is shit,
- 28:28it's a grant. I left the drums for March, it's
- 28:31now December time. Well, this is before there's a
- 28:33time to be honest before, I Moved to London, maybe longest
- 28:37time. I've had fuck all.
- 28:38This is shit. This isn't going to happen for
- 28:40me. Hey my dude, I would have
- 28:42graduated in July and August is the month after July didn't,
- 28:45give myself a chance. So I was going to quit.
- 28:48I had a drafted email. So my agent written out that I'm
- 28:52leaving. And I'm joining the Marines
- 28:54because every day, I'd go home, I'd watch.
- 28:57A documentary on YouTube about Livingstone Academy which is
- 29:00when I do with a Marine training, right?
- 29:02And I had such a visceral, emotional reaction to that
- 29:05documentary. I could not stop watching it and
- 29:07it was so inspiring and watching all these Lads, you know, go on
- 29:16their own. No one had any idea who any one
- 29:18was. They were completely isolated
- 29:19alone. Most of them had no jobs.
- 29:21Most of them had drug addictions, alcohol problems,
- 29:24their mums, and dads have died. They were just Lone wolves that
- 29:27were screwed by Society in the system and so they thought the
- 29:32only option was Marines and then there was other people that all
- 29:35they wanted to do is join the Marines for example like myself
- 29:38was a mix of both. All right because I fucked up at
- 29:40school but anyway that that was way before the drama school so
- 29:44every day I was, I'm quitting. Fuck the industry.
- 29:46Fuck. Fuck not getting audition.
- 29:49Screw this. I'm not pleasing anybody.
- 29:51But and then luckily I didn't because, okay, two reasons.
- 29:55I've got Crohn's disease which obviously It's not I mean to say
- 29:59is in the Marines would have none of that.
- 30:01Secondly I moved back to London. Then luckily I've got my
- 30:04creative flow back and I didn't fucking quit Frank fuck because
- 30:08when it comes to quit the reason, what the only reason why
- 30:10I tell you this story is because I'll tell this to any actor Ice.
- 30:13I met a guy in Darby Town Center yesterday a young lad whole days
- 30:17and he was like a blessing, you're so sweet.
- 30:20I was on the phone to the one-on-one so I had a really bad
- 30:22toothache last few months and he waited for like five minutes for
- 30:26this phone calls. In and he told me that he was,
- 30:27it was a lovely stuff, really, really funny this and that and
- 30:30he was like, you inspiring because I want to be a comedian
- 30:33and I wanted to do, you know, kind of similar stuff and I just
- 30:36said I was like, just don't quit, don't quit, don't quit,
- 30:38don't quit, it's going to be shit.
- 30:39That quit, don't quit always do makes you happy because the only
- 30:43reason the only person you're ever going to do a disservice to
- 30:46if if you quit in the face of with a fuck you, attitude to the
- 30:49industry, the industry isn't going to turn.
- 30:52I don't care. If you're 29, 3959, there's
- 30:55always an age. There's a there's a character
- 30:58for any age all of the time Christopher Lee acted up until
- 31:00he's pretty fucking die aggressive.
- 31:03The only person you're doing a disservice to is yourself
- 31:05because the industry when you quit industry has no idea.
- 31:09You even breathe, oxygen, let alone let alone exist.
- 31:14Let alone want to be the next Brad Pitt.
- 31:15You know, the industry is it going to be like, They're gonna
- 31:18have an itch on the back of the neck.
- 31:19Like oh my God, I think of James morels, just quit in the face of
- 31:24with a big fuck you. Let's call him up and give him
- 31:25the new Spider-Man. The only person you ever going
- 31:27to let down is that little boy inside your heart, where, when
- 31:30you were a little boy, you said to yourself for me anyway.
- 31:32I said to myself at 67 years old, I want to be, I want to do
- 31:34them on and tell you is if I quit the only person I'm doing a
- 31:38disservice to his myself and that little boy because The
- 31:41industry is going to come back, right?
- 31:44Come back. We want to give you a TV show
- 31:45because it doesn't know you exist and that's not the
- 31:47industry's fault. It's such a topic can be such a
- 31:51horrible toxic place but at the same time it can be where all
- 31:55the magic happens. And when all the magic happens,
- 31:58you have to grab it and and ride that wave.
- 32:01As long as that Rave can fucking keep yourself up.
- 32:04Because when you quit, I'm sorry.
- 32:07But, like, I'll say this to anyone.
- 32:09I do say to everyone. Now, That's what because it's
- 32:11what I say to myself. If I could, if I wake up
- 32:13tomorrow and and have them - morning and think I'm quitting
- 32:17because I'm scared of this play, I can't do it all these
- 32:20intrusive thoughts and stuff your personal letting down as
- 32:23myself or the other day. And the only person you have
- 32:24already is just so, and so, Being like, give you advice
- 32:31because I'm sure you might you may or may not need it.
- 32:33But that's what I say to myself anyway, that you're only going
- 32:36to let yourself down. And I'll say this to everyone as
- 32:38well as wants to be creative in any in any case just don't do it
- 32:41just fucking keep going man. Keep going.
- 32:44So I got World passionate but I love him and I love it and I all
- 32:48the people they're going to see this again to love it too.
- 32:51I've said it before. But this is why I love doing
- 32:54this show because And I've been trying to think about like, how
- 32:58to Brand the show and recently, someone asked me the other day
- 33:01when I was working, the bar shift and they're like, so,
- 33:03what's the show about? And I said, well, I guess in a
- 33:06nutshell, it's inspiring people with inspiring stories and just
- 33:09inspirational topics and it's conversations like this, that
- 33:13are inspirational for a number of reasons.
- 33:16I mean, it's it's inspirational for me too.
- 33:18I mean, bro, I'm not. I'm not The Dashing chat but you
- 33:22are with the following that you have and I'm a bit older than
- 33:25you and it's it's a lot. Less likely for me, but hearing
- 33:28stuff like this does kind of listen, this is my going.
- 33:32It's good to hear. It's positive stuff that you
- 33:35need. I'll tell you one thing.
- 33:37I know I'm 26, and I have three years on you, but and I might
- 33:41have to enjoy, I might have whatever I have on social media.
- 33:45I'm telling you now, in my head. I'll talk to my girlfriend until
- 33:50the time because she's 23. She thinks we both were both
- 33:53certificate. We're too fucking old to do.
- 33:54Whatever it is that you want to do.
- 33:55Know. 30 is the new 20 and men don't Peak until they're in
- 33:59their 30s and 40s. I'm telling you now and look how
- 34:02bright. I always, I always go back to
- 34:04Bryan Cranston. I read his book, right?
- 34:05When it first came out because I went to go and watch him in a
- 34:10network, right? And I'm ready' but base the
- 34:11dudes career, he was always a working like that was always
- 34:14well respected in the industry but Breaking Bad came around
- 34:18when he was Late 40s. Early 50s.
- 34:21And again, his career peaked, then there's again.
- 34:26It doesn't matter. If you're 50, 60, your, your
- 34:29capabilities physically, might be a little less than what they
- 34:32are at 26 to 29 to 35, whatever. But your spirit and knowledge.
- 34:40We'll always be there. So again, the game of comparison
- 34:45is so dangerous and I do it all the time.
- 34:48The amount of men that I've had to block out of sheer
- 34:50insecurities on social media. Really.
- 34:53Not because of not, because of like, no, I haven't really
- 34:57blocked them. But I prayed I press not
- 34:58interested in a lot of years because I compared myself a lot
- 35:01of the time. And and that is toxic.
- 35:03And again, that's my way of, that's my way of blocking out.
- 35:08It's not about it's not about insecurity.
- 35:10Ortiz. It's about being sensible for my
- 35:13mental health, in a sense. So, if I see a young lad that's
- 35:19really handsome, that's really talented as doing really well in
- 35:23my heart, I feel really. I feel, I feel like Joseph
- 35:26Quinn, for example, that guy is so charismatic and so I look at
- 35:32him I think you're so fucking cool and you're so good as well.
- 35:35I mean to be faced a bad example because I always I always
- 35:37watched. I always watch the stuff he's
- 35:39in. And again, I have a lot of male
- 35:40people, but a lot of mail created an act.
- 35:45As I look up to and stuff anyone else in particular?
- 35:49So I look up to older gentleman, I look up to Hugh Jackman a lot
- 35:53in his journey and his personality a lot because if you
- 35:56if you look at him as a person and then you watch him as
- 35:59Marbury and he's like he's a difference.
- 36:02To be it. It's like the transformation is
- 36:04different. I do just want to quickly
- 36:05justify the block anything quickly because it does.
- 36:08It sounds a bit toxic. When I say, I'll get the know I
- 36:10go. You mean?
- 36:12I do the same thing to it's a kind of, maybe insecurity isn't
- 36:16the right word. But this is one thing I wanted
- 36:18to say to you, too. And raises a point, is this idea
- 36:20that like, And it sounds crazy. I don't know if I said this in
- 36:26the show before I may or may not have, but I have this current
- 36:29feeling where I feel like everyone around me is doing
- 36:33really well. And I remember doing a video
- 36:35about this, where it's like one of those like Bittersweet like
- 36:39you're clapping for the success of other people but inside
- 36:41you're dying and it's pain and and it's weird like doing this
- 36:45show, for example, all the people that have on this show, I
- 36:48like really successful or they're going somewhere.
- 36:51And I'm just looking at all these people in Ahmad and I'm
- 36:53like Huh, and then the feeling that I have at first, it was
- 36:58like all these people were better than me.
- 37:00I'm still happy for them, it's not better, but I'm happy for
- 37:02them. But the thing that goes through
- 37:04my head that I can't shake, is this idea of like, oh, these are
- 37:09people that are successful and like I'm not one of those people
- 37:13like this, you know, like it's not in the cards for me.
- 37:16I'm supposed to be a spectator as opposed to being on the stage
- 37:20and then because of what you were saying before about like
- 37:22hiding that like people. But you're envious of not
- 37:24jealous or envious, right? Yeah, Envy, I think.
- 37:29Yeah, I think and I think in today's, in today's kind of
- 37:34Social media kind of what a comparison and toxicity and
- 37:38stuff. I think jealousy and envy get
- 37:40muddled up and a slowly becoming the same thing.
- 37:42Whereas I can very much differentiate between envy and
- 37:45jealousy, and I think is Envy. So there are a lot of people
- 37:49that I try to avoid because At the point where I'm at, I don't
- 37:55know. It's we there's a lot of
- 37:56bitterness in the industry when I say, fuck my friend.
- 37:58For example comes up to me and says, I've just booked, I've
- 38:01just booked this gig. I'm doing a TV show for six
- 38:04months. the genuine happiness that I will fill for them is
- 38:11It's beyond any. I can't really explain it.
- 38:15And then, on the flipside of that, there's a part of me
- 38:17that's like, Dude, I'd kill to be doing that same thing, but
- 38:21I'm genuinely happy for you. And so, the people are not my
- 38:24friends. This is the best way to describe
- 38:25that. People are not my friends and
- 38:27the people that I don't know, but I see on social media all
- 38:29the time that live in my dreams, there's only a select few that I
- 38:35have to hide sometimes because I can't help, but compare, and
- 38:39it's only because of compare. I'm not I'm not Before them, I'm
- 38:42not angry at the world because I'm not doing it.
- 38:45I'm not bitter towards them sometimes.
- 38:48Social media is a very overwhelming place and I spend a
- 38:51lot of time on it and so I have to hide some things so I don't
- 38:55see it. So I don't get in the game of
- 38:57comparing again and so when it comes to comparing, I think
- 38:59going back to the original point.
- 39:01It's dangerous game. I don't I think it goes with age
- 39:05to be honest and experience. I think we all have to go
- 39:07through it. You know there's its like
- 39:10telling your kids do don't don't walk along that wall because you
- 39:14might slip and fall the kids going to do it anyway.
- 39:16And if it's different for that's when they learn.
- 39:18Like I'm always going to compare myself, doesn't matter how many
- 39:21times I tell people that You know, except for example, you
- 39:25you know you're saying that I'm 26 but free is only and whatever
- 39:28it is that I've got on social media and stuff.
- 39:31It doesn't matter how many times you say comparing is bad,
- 39:34because we all do it. But my tools and stuff for that
- 39:38is, I mean, maybe it's a little bit unhealthy to be fair but
- 39:42well, it's not really unhealthy or toxic.
- 39:43I don't know. I just sometimes I have to have
- 39:46to click not interested, so I don't really see it as much
- 39:49because I compared myself, I can permit.
- 39:51I compare myself to a lot of like younger guys.
- 39:53At my age that a really successful YouTubers because
- 39:56I've been making YouTube content since I was 12, but Vlogs
- 39:58videos, silly videos on his kid. I'm 26 now.
- 40:01And only now is my content that I've created is, starting to
- 40:04start a little bit of a following.
- 40:05That's, that's 14 years, no? Yeah. 14 years of, putting
- 40:09content online and nothing happening until I'm 26.
- 40:13And so when I watched people sometimes that are my age, so
- 40:17glad to specially I get envious and I think, you know what, this
- 40:23fucking normalize it. As long as you don't, as long as
- 40:26you don't hold any hatred towards you people because of
- 40:29what they're doing, and, as long as you don't hold any any
- 40:32vicious jealousy or malice or bad intentions towards if you do
- 40:35as long as you don't want to deck someone for being
- 40:37successful, that's fine. You can you can feel a little
- 40:40bit of envy you can kind of want that and you know what?
- 40:44It fucking drives me as well. I say to my government and I've
- 40:47met this girl that I've worked Cole, I have another girl.
- 40:50The four years I'm very much been in my own world doing that.
- 40:54Chase enacted. And and trying to be successful.
- 40:57I met this guy and I think my whole priorities change the
- 41:00right, I don't want to do this, just for myself.
- 41:02I want to share this experience. I'm in my twenties, I could do
- 41:05it alone and be really successful and rich in my 30s
- 41:09and then not really know people's true intentions like in
- 41:11terms of women or I can Be even more driven by this envy and
- 41:18stuff, was having a partner. And because they, we talk a lot
- 41:21about our future together, and houses and marriage and all that
- 41:24kind of stuff, because it's genuinely how we feel, but we
- 41:28can, if I can't do it just yet and so the fuel from that, and
- 41:33then the fuel from seeing young Lads that I have all of that
- 41:37capacity Carville that capability and opportunity,
- 41:40because of their success on social media, especially and
- 41:43also young actors activity, Charlemagne, Tom Holland in
- 41:46Suffolk, kind of my age range that I'm watching and I'm like
- 41:49franchise after franchise, you know, it kind of never ever
- 41:56makes me laying in bed thinking. I'm not going to do it, so I'm
- 41:59going to give up. It always drives me.
- 42:01So I guess that's kind of healthy.
- 42:04Not only, I agree. I think it is.
- 42:07I think it's it can be used as a tool to push yourself to an
- 42:11amine and look at those are just an aside that like, I don't
- 42:14know, I thought it's so weird. Like how much I have in common
- 42:16with you and how much I resonate with the things you're saying.
- 42:19Like it's actually starting to freak me out, but it's because I
- 42:24get it and it's refreshing to hear and I totally know what you
- 42:28mean when it comes to his acting.
- 42:30When I first tried to get into acting, I thought it was going
- 42:34to be, like, everyone is out for themselves.
- 42:35Everyone's like brutal and hates each other.
- 42:37But I mean, I haven't said I've seen a bit of that, but mostly,
- 42:41it's people being all cool. What you doing?
- 42:44What you up to did it? That, like, people being
- 42:45supportive, sometimes people will even for instance, suggest
- 42:49you for a role I've been at. Oh yeah.
- 42:52I know such and such to be perfect for this and stuff, you
- 42:54know. It's, yeah.
- 42:55And that's a real positive part of it, but yeah, you do
- 42:58something like I did an audition for something recently and I
- 43:03would say, like, 95% of the people, they're nice.
- 43:08Lovely. Wonderful people.
- 43:09Right. And then there's a few people
- 43:10there that, you know, maybe They've been acting a little
- 43:16bit. Maybe they got a bit of sweat.
- 43:17Yeah, they're too good to say hello to me.
- 43:20Let's put it that way and and I'm like, okay fine.
- 43:23Whatever I couldn't give two shits but it's interesting that
- 43:27mentality that people have when they they big-league you.
- 43:30So to speak, especially when they're not even successful yet,
- 43:34and it's like, oh well, you've got a wrong dodgy attitude.
- 43:37Going into it. Like, and it's been about come
- 43:40to bite you in the ass that actually.
- 43:42Yeah, that's really funny. You said I got a quick story,
- 43:44actually, one of my French drama.
- 43:45School did it. I won't name any shows or names
- 43:47or anything but worked on a show, which is coming out soon
- 43:52and on that show that the main guys in it, the stars, for
- 43:58example, who were the kind of the frontrunners of the main
- 44:03guys at the show, he was telling me stories about working on set
- 44:06because obviously, I'm like, dude, fucking tell me every
- 44:08single little detail down to the grain of sand, a used on the
- 44:11set. And he was telling me stories
- 44:14about how like the Man guys would like a couple of one of
- 44:16them would come in every morning and be super lovely and offer
- 44:18anyone like to do you fancy a tea coffee.
- 44:21Like I'll go make them for you. Oh, grandpa or whatever and the
- 44:24ones that had that shitty stinking attitude, or the ones
- 44:27of the select few small, small one on the ones that just
- 44:30graduated drama school, that had got this job that now, because
- 44:33they've got this job when they just finished drama school.
- 44:35That a big league now. And it's it's so interesting.
- 44:39You just say that because he was working on a show that's
- 44:41obviously very established. It's going to be a fucking huge
- 44:43thing. And the ones that the ones that
- 44:47would had heart. And so on were genuine, were the
- 44:50guys that were you would think a probably going to be the ones of
- 44:53a little bit of an ego because they are the names.
- 44:55They are the stars and they're working consistently in that on
- 44:58everything you ever see everywhere.
- 44:59Where is it was? The guys are just graduated
- 45:01drama school that got this job that have been like you know
- 45:04what, I'm fucking big now. And I think what's good for
- 45:08people like ours and it's this is the only way I can justify it
- 45:10to myself because if I don't I'll go crazy.
- 45:13The world and Industry keeps on humbling me because when I tell
- 45:17you, when I went to college, I was a cock.
- 45:20I was so egotistical because of what the guy said to me, in
- 45:23addition, the audition I will likely you don't have great.
- 45:25Don't want to put you on the lower courts because you're a
- 45:28bit more advanced than that. And I was like, yeah, I'm
- 45:30fucking good and had a bit of an ego and a little bit of a
- 45:32complex and because I was like, I thought eight Seventeen
- 45:36eighteen which is no fault of anyone because I'm 17 18.
- 45:39I thought I this is me the world has made about me.
- 45:43Me. This is my world.
- 45:45I'm going to fuck you live in it and I'm going to own it.
- 45:47I'm going to be the best famous most handsome Brad Pitt ever.
- 45:50And I've got to drop a college and I had that mentality
- 45:54majority through the whole thing.
- 45:55Never humbled me once and then left got rejected from drama
- 45:59school, boom, humbled and I was like oh shit and then took a
- 46:05couple years outward, couple she jobs, whatever, save it load
- 46:08their little bit of money and then will do it again.
- 46:11Boom, rejection waiting. This for our again dude.
- 46:15And then one day I called up our four times and I was like this
- 46:19is the second time you give me to wait and it's because it got
- 46:20rejected from Lambda in the first time around auditioning
- 46:23and then weightless for our never heard anything back for a
- 46:25couple years and then auditioned again.
- 46:27And I got the same thing again to projections Lambda Arts
- 46:29Lambda, where do I go? Lando coming buddy, a lot said
- 46:35an hour maybe yeah and I've got waiting this for our, a reject
- 46:40from the other two and so one day, I caught him at like four
- 46:42times and I ended up Ben Give me a place because it would not
- 46:44leave me alone. And so I've got to drama school
- 46:47and I was like I'm the fucking shit dude.
- 46:49I'm the best fucking actor in the world but get there.
- 46:51Sit in a class in the tip. Remember, TV film class, watched
- 46:55every single one of those actors in my class, get up and blow me
- 46:57away. And I was like Bro, IMA fraud.
- 47:00That's when my to support started cropping up.
- 47:02I'm like, fuck humbled again and then this is the most amazing
- 47:06thing that's ever happened to me, kept.
- 47:07Don't get into humble tip. I'm getting telling, no, you're
- 47:09not doing this. No, your shit.
- 47:11Your grades that reflect your ability, like never got a first
- 47:14in any performance until I did my main role in third year.
- 47:17Got our first in a lot of my nan, performance-related
- 47:21assessment of stuff, but never got a single first, any my
- 47:23performances? My, it literally had one meeting
- 47:26with one of my head of acting. She brought me into the office
- 47:28because I've got a fuck. It was after a fucking formers
- 47:30mine and I thought killed it and she's like, what the fuck was
- 47:33that your foot? There's a worst fucking thing
- 47:35I've ever seen. You do you're acting in a
- 47:37bubble, you wasn't fucking listed.
- 47:38It's a bit brutal. I'm telling you now, I needed
- 47:41it. I needed to get.
- 47:42Humbled, I needed to get, brought down to earth, and then
- 47:44boom. Leave drama school, two years of
- 47:46rejection. Humbled humbled.
- 47:49Humbled constantly getting told no.
- 47:52And again, it messed me up but in hindsight it was the best
- 47:58thing for Only because I went into this industry with the
- 48:01attitude of thinking, I'm going to get everything I want because
- 48:04I'm James and I'm sick, and I want it more than anything.
- 48:07So, therefore I'm deserved it. I mowed it and I'll get it and I
- 48:11haven't had it and I know I'm 26 and I'm young but I've been
- 48:14doing it since I Was Eighteen. That's eight years where I've
- 48:16had rejection. And I've been making content
- 48:19since I was 12, and I've had nothing, but I've done gaming
- 48:22content, vlogging, travel videos.
- 48:27What else? Fitness videos because I Trying
- 48:29to be a personal trainer for a year.
- 48:31I don't even fit. Nothing ever work for me.
- 48:33And I was constantly getting humbled and I think regardless
- 48:38if I'm 26 so you're 29 or whatever these rejections
- 48:43depending on how you look at it. We'll just go towards the
- 48:47journey, bro. And in my head I think I always
- 48:50think about what could what Cold Storage would I have to talk
- 48:53about on The Graham Norton. If I ever got on The Graham
- 48:56Norton, yes, but if it's like, I got everything I wanted to 18 to
- 49:0121. Yeah I'd be fucked.
- 49:03I'd have have nothing to talk about.
- 49:05I'd be, I'd be, I'd be as such a different person and I wouldn't
- 49:10have any self-awareness, maybe I would.
- 49:12I don't know because it's not the journey I've had, but I'm
- 49:15really grateful in a weird way for the journey that I've had
- 49:18and where I come from as well, I'm a little cancers that a boy
- 49:20to and but during that whole process, I was never grateful
- 49:25and I was never like I was never aware of the positive influence
- 49:29it would have On me as a man. Now, I'm 26, I want a thick
- 49:34mustache. I've got an acting job, you
- 49:36know? I'm a man.
- 49:37Now, I've got a hairy chest that I never fought you know?
- 49:40And I'm so grateful for getting rejected.
- 49:43Four for four since I was 20 because I went no since I was
- 49:4718. Now, I don't know when it was 19
- 49:48when I had my first audition at drama school.
- 49:50I mean, I was 19. You turning 20, I must have been
- 49:53or yeah, 18 turning 19, sorry. And I'm like since I've faced
- 49:58nothing but rejection until at the only exceptions are got was
- 50:00at drama school when I eventually got in and had the
- 50:03big threats and I mean, and up until this point now of getting
- 50:06this job, and I think it's It's just, yeah.
- 50:11Enhance our I want to tell everyone, that told me no, but I
- 50:15love him because he's helped me as a human being grow, not as an
- 50:18actor, but as human being, but otherwise, if I'd got given
- 50:21everything that I have been, I have been an absolute also.
- 50:23I think, but so arrogant. So, like, Yaya.
- 50:26So I'm James, you know, the guy that I play on those videos If
- 50:30you ever watch them, when I get emotional Street, that's that's
- 50:33who I'd probably be, you know? And I'm so grateful for it, and
- 50:37I think if I could scream that in the face of any young actor,
- 50:40That keeps getting told no to things don't give up and
- 50:45appreciate when they say no because you need to use it to
- 50:49your advantage, grow from it, reflect on it.
- 50:51And also maybe practice acting a little bit.
- 50:54When I'm joking, you don't need to do that because it doesn't
- 50:56come down to your ability, comes down to whether or not you're
- 50:58right or wrong for the role. Wow, there's a lion The greatest
- 51:10cause I'm always in my own world.
- 51:12You know. People around me and none of my
- 51:13friends at home are actors. My girlfriends, are not an
- 51:15actor, you know. It's, it's hard to get this
- 51:19passion out because otherwise I'll just be talking to the four
- 51:22walls. Do you feel like you have a
- 51:24quite a positive support network then look around you as everyone
- 51:27kind of happy that you're an actor?
- 51:29Yeah, yeah. Nobody.
- 51:31I've never like, I'm lucky with my family that like, if I chose
- 51:34to do whatever I want to do, You know, nobody would ever tell me
- 51:39not to unless it was a bad thing like and I've, you know, I've
- 51:42always had that support. I wouldn't be able to go to
- 51:43drama school. If it wasn't for my family,
- 51:45breaking their back, we had to fundraise loads, I had six weeks
- 51:49at the side six weeks to raise seven half thousand pounds.
- 51:52I had to be brutally honest, about my finances.
- 51:55We don't have any money where I come from back home, we're in
- 51:58the system, I'm a goblin class the state from the broker is 14.
- 52:03So, we owned our house back then, but then, Mom, took all of
- 52:06us. I'm not sitting in system sent,
- 52:09so I have no money, but I work two jobs with a at 3,000 pounds
- 52:12Savings in my, in my savings myself, I paid my side.
- 52:15That's so that brings it down to what for 4,500 to raise.
- 52:19I raised, we collectively raise 1,700 quid with doing.
- 52:24If we did a fundraising day, I did a sponsored leg waxing.
- 52:27I've got loads of gifts from all the independent businesses to
- 52:30sponsor it. I've got the independent
- 52:32businesses to sponsor gifts. That we can ruffle off and then
- 52:38I sold my car to. As I do nice Volkswagen, I sold
- 52:42a got a little Polo, which I fucking loved and I still
- 52:46missing this day, this back in 2017.
- 52:47So my car and then we took 2,000 quid on a credit card and paid
- 52:53that back every month like under quit every month.
- 52:55Lot for years. To pave my first year at drama
- 52:59school. So yes to answer your question
- 53:01here in the long run in the long way.
- 53:03I do have a really incredible support system and I've always
- 53:06been really I've always been supported in that sense because
- 53:10in second and third year, I got a scholarship when I was a drama
- 53:12school. So luckily I didn't have to pay
- 53:13for the second or third year. I was out of in fact I wouldn't
- 53:15have thought I wouldn't be able to pay in order to be kicked out
- 53:17and then I didn't plan Beyond first year I just planned get my
- 53:21first year money down. I did it all in six weeks.
- 53:23Me my family and I've got there and I wasn't right that sorted.
- 53:28Don't even think about second version and luckily, when second
- 53:30you came around, I got a phone call from someone in the office
- 53:32drama school. Nella come in.
- 53:34I was actually skateboarding home.
- 53:35They like turn around come in when in there.
- 53:37Will I would like to give you a lot to offer you a scholarship.
- 53:40It's a lovely. I didn't have to get enough to
- 53:43do it all over again. The second or third year, so
- 53:45yeah, I do rose. I my girlfriend's mad support to
- 53:48man like doesn't matter what content I make cringe you're not
- 53:52because she I think she's smart enough to know it's ironic.
- 53:54Most of the time she's happy to film stuff.
- 53:57Happy to come up with ideas for me, film.
- 53:59It support me in any way and that is invaluable my opinion
- 54:04behind every strong man behind every man, there is a strong
- 54:08woman and she's actually my backbone of not known each
- 54:11other. We've only known each other
- 54:11since January this year, but we'll know.
- 54:13First met me. Honestly, when we first met it
- 54:16was like we were best mates. We knew each other our whole
- 54:18life. Seriously, we clicked so well
- 54:20and since then she's been my like spine, that holds me up the
- 54:25center's, me, when my mind, Lose my mind because I have so much
- 54:29going on. It's like, well, I was on the
- 54:32phone with her yesterday like trying to figure out the
- 54:34self-employment stuff Iraq. Since my first job was not done
- 54:36it yet. You know, and I'm worried about
- 54:39tax. I'm worried about finances.
- 54:41I'm worried about a structure that I'm worried.
- 54:42I've got 15 emails in my that I haven't replied to with Contour
- 54:47pram, stuck in that. And I'm starting this job and
- 54:51I'm all I'm doing is sat in this room prepping my lines and do my
- 54:53coat stuff and it's just speak to her.
- 54:56Boom sent Has everything. Wow.
- 54:59And so yes I do. I'm very lucky in that sense I
- 55:02guess and then love to be a person I do.
- 55:05That's all that's awesome. That's really really awesome
- 55:08really happy for you man. Okay.
- 55:10Takes it takes it took a lot. Like I said I was alone for four
- 55:13years. It was in the same here.
- 55:14I think, I think I've been single since Oh God, before five
- 55:20years. Yeah I think in the right one,
- 55:24when you the right one will Will happen so unexpectedly.
- 55:29They will the amount the amount of clicks that will happen.
- 55:33How did you guys meet? But funny story was back in
- 55:37August. Last year, when my first ever
- 55:38video will take you went viral. I got stood up on a date.
- 55:40So I made a quick video saying, who is this guy up?
- 55:44What the fuck. So she organized it.
- 55:52Anyway, I got stood up from a go on hinge and then I made a video
- 55:55and I'm so there could be some people that watch Is it go?
- 55:57That's what what what that's what happened.
- 56:01That's what basically I supposed to happen when I made that video
- 56:03dollar. There's a lot of people like
- 56:04what the fuck happened? I think I saw some that video
- 56:06actually. I think I have a vague memory of
- 56:08this. Yeah.
- 56:09It's just that Southbank. Um, and then one of the comments
- 56:11was like, yeah, red flag. She wanted to meet you at South
- 56:13Bank and I was up for I had no idea.
- 56:15I just want to go but luckily, luckily I got stood up because
- 56:17account that video came up the coast for you page.
- 56:19Then she just followed me back then and then a few months
- 56:21later, she messes she's a photographer.
- 56:23She messaged me. And she was like, hey, I'd love
- 56:25to see your photos based. Ali and we met, she came to my
- 56:30work where I was working and she walked in and she was, we said
- 56:36about 1:00, we close our close it to a close after two.
- 56:39It was the last one she wasn't there.
- 56:40So I guess that goes one coming in and then she walked in and I
- 56:43was sat down and I looked up and I was like holy, who the fuck is
- 56:46that? She's so hot and we didn't say
- 56:49anything to this, but I thought she was a customer and then
- 56:51she's looked at me with the baddest attitude like she was
- 56:53like, it's cold and I was like, wow.
- 56:56Love is all about status. I don't know what it was, but
- 56:59that attitude and like, her the way she just, I don't know.
- 57:04I was immediately like my whole brain switched.
- 57:06It was like, it was like instant.
- 57:08And then we went, I closed up attracted.
- 57:10We went down for some pizza at 2:00 in Broadway and then
- 57:15literally, the rest is history like well, the movie honestly.
- 57:20Yeah, man. And then we took some pictures
- 57:21week. We went and took some pictures
- 57:23as well. And there's literally, there's a
- 57:26series of four photos stand outside of st.
- 57:28Paul's Cathedral where I was thinking.
- 57:31I remember the thought process of my head because every time I
- 57:33better go, what I was being, you know, in my head about I don't
- 57:37really, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place to have a
- 57:39girlfriend started and blah blah blah and I was thinking those
- 57:42same thoughts when I met her and we'll take these photos.
- 57:44And literally, you can see the fort process where I had that.
- 57:47For I thought about it, I changed my mind and I've decided
- 57:53it's like, it's like sad face. Neutral face.
- 57:55Happy face in love face when I decided that I was, like, I'm
- 57:58doing that with this girl, there's no way I'm doing that.
- 58:01Lets go. And then after stood opposed one
- 58:02up and kissed her, and I was like, you know what, I really,
- 58:04really like you and I'm sorry. I've said some stupid stuff like
- 58:07I don't think I want to get girlfriend blockers.
- 58:10The fuck. How did I know she wanted a
- 58:11boyfriend for all? I knew she just wanted to take
- 58:13photos me, you know. So why am I arrogant enough to
- 58:15think that she even want? You know, when I was, I'm sorry
- 58:18I said a lot of stupid shit, but I really like, actually really
- 58:21like here and then boom, we've Has been my best mates and
- 58:25Inseparable since and I think I think it helps me a lot when it
- 58:31comes to create the stock as well because she's just really
- 58:35supportive. And yeah I think it's I think is
- 58:39really nice. That's awesome, man.
- 58:42It gives me hope. I'm sure it will give a lot of
- 58:44other people. Hope.
- 58:45I mean I'm in this mindset right now where I kind of play a game
- 58:50with myself any girl that I'm into Like almost definitely has
- 58:57boyfriend. I don't how he is that what you
- 59:01think? Because I'm always wore, it's
- 59:04amazing. It's like a superpower is fine
- 59:07because I'm not trust me guys. I'm not bitter about it.
- 59:09Like it was a point where I was because, you know, we're human
- 59:13and we have feelings and a lot of like, sometimes there are
- 59:16times when I've spoken to people and it's just, you know, it
- 59:19can't work for whatever reason or they just live miles,
- 59:22thousands of miles away. But, When it's someone that's
- 59:24like actually around like and it would be doable sort of thing.
- 59:28It's always that. And I'm like huh?
- 59:32I wonder what an honor. Yeah, I remember one time there
- 59:34was a particular girl that I didn't even ask her out.
- 59:36I just I just slipped and I was just like, you have a boyfriend,
- 59:40don't you? She's like yeah.
- 59:43How'd you know? And I was just like by, I just
- 59:45know, I always know that my God, it's so loose.
- 59:52I got fish earrings. Sticks.
- 59:53If you're saying real, surely actual boyfriend?
- 59:56Yeah, no. It's not even like a sad thing
- 59:57is actually a lot is Bittersweet bit.
- 1:00:00Like, you know, when you're in a, you see that watch a movie
- 1:00:02and it's like someone who's kind of like well my life's work
- 1:00:06drink a beer but like, it's not kind of, it's not depressed,
- 1:00:09either. It's kind of like a Midway
- 1:00:11point, you know? Yeah.
- 1:00:13Because my God, yeah, I use like chasing my goals as a way of,
- 1:00:17like, you know, getting away instead of like sitting and
- 1:00:20drinking and feeling. Sorry for myself, I just work my
- 1:00:22ass off instead. And it doesn't exactly work, but
- 1:00:26it at least takes your mind off things.
- 1:00:28So, you know, it's literally it's better than sinking a point
- 1:00:32or yeah, you know, but going on, developing some kind of like,
- 1:00:36you know, addiction that is - you're out.
- 1:00:39There's, you know, there's worse things in life than being
- 1:00:41addicted to working. That's for sure.
- 1:00:43I think if you can channel that energy into your work, or into
- 1:00:47exercise or anything that's productive, and proactive, then
- 1:00:50you're not doing your body and mind of the service whereas The
- 1:00:53problems come when you use that bad stuff in life, to excuse
- 1:00:58your drug and alcohol abuse or sign.
- 1:01:00For example, at that will suffice really bad for you.
- 1:01:02So yeah, I think yeah, he is long in my head.
- 1:01:05I just think use everything as fuel, hmm.
- 1:01:08When it comes to work, you said so many things for out this show
- 1:01:12that just have got me thinking like it's just it's the
- 1:01:15Highlight Reel of inspirational quotes.
- 1:01:17I love it. So a couple of we are in Coca
- 1:01:21record going on. I've got a couple of quick fire
- 1:01:25questions for you totally unrelated to what we spoken
- 1:01:27about by our school, my guests, these questions.
- 1:01:30So, I'm just intrigued to get what you, what you have to say
- 1:01:34on these questions. What is happiness to you?
- 1:01:40Waking up and doing everything you want to do every single day.
- 1:01:44Exactly what you want to do. Waking up and doing it because
- 1:01:48if you don't and born in it, know what true happiness is
- 1:01:53having having for me, is having how do I, how do I word it in a
- 1:01:58very inspirational? Wait just having my girl by my
- 1:02:01side that is bad. Is this man?
- 1:02:04Sorry, not bad as man. That's my true happiness.
- 1:02:06They just said well how it feels right for you?
- 1:02:08May then have to worry about saying it inspirational way I
- 1:02:11always thought like no seriously that the best way to say things
- 1:02:14is always Just straight from the heart.
- 1:02:16It can't be any better than that.
- 1:02:17You know, true, true. True happiness for me.
- 1:02:21Anyway, is doing what I love every day and spending that time
- 1:02:26with my girlfriend as much as I possibly can.
- 1:02:28And that's that's when I feel true.
- 1:02:30Happiness, awesome. What's the best advice you've
- 1:02:34ever received? I think, maybe.
- 1:02:47Oh yeah, it's really simple. Actually, I worked with the
- 1:02:49works. With a guy called John link
- 1:02:50who's a legend of the industry. He's like a, he's an older guy.
- 1:02:54Now, I did 12 not with him at drama school and he came in and
- 1:02:57did a lot of acting technique. I've literally got a quote of
- 1:02:59his tattooed on my bicep and he's been the best advice I ever
- 1:03:03received. Was to keep on dancing.
- 1:03:06You can't really see it because probably flipped, but yeah, keep
- 1:03:09on dancing to backstory. That is, when you're going
- 1:03:13through the stuff that we talked about today, Action and misery
- 1:03:17and comparison and bitterness and jealousy was bad.
- 1:03:23Toxic things. When your associate it,
- 1:03:25sometimes with your journey in the industry, is you just have
- 1:03:28to remind yourself to keep on dancing.
- 1:03:31It's like, it's a metaphor for keep on.
- 1:03:32Keep on going, don't give up. I love it.
- 1:03:35I love it because it also implies the kind of, which I
- 1:03:38think is important. Yeah, it's like you own these
- 1:03:40days when you are feeling though or at your lowest, like,
- 1:03:43sometimes I'll have a day like that and I don't know, maybe a
- 1:03:46housemate will invite me out or go do something and you have fun
- 1:03:51or all you like for instance, what sometimes on a do my live
- 1:03:54streams, I'll do I'll be having a really crap time of it and I
- 1:03:57just feel like I'm just going to play some music today for, you
- 1:03:59know, for everyone or I'm just gonna chat and, you know, and
- 1:04:03through the course of that, those people make me feel better
- 1:04:05because we just, I'm there to entertain them to make them feel
- 1:04:08better, even though I'm feeling like really horrible inside.
- 1:04:11But like, I'm like it kind of weirdly makes me feel better by
- 1:04:14making them happy. And sometimes you hear those
- 1:04:16comments don't you like someone or say like oh hey I listen to
- 1:04:19your podcast and it got me for a hard time or I watch this video
- 1:04:22and it made me smile. And I'm just like, wow.
- 1:04:24Like I never thought about that. Like, here's me lost in my own
- 1:04:27mind thin. Crap about myself and then,
- 1:04:30yeah, it's really stuff that I'm doing is somehow making this
- 1:04:33person feel happy. Or I guess, my scrambled point
- 1:04:37is that they just try and look at the little things and make
- 1:04:42the most of them. And that, that make that sauce,
- 1:04:44your happiness, kind of thing. Remember remember that?
- 1:04:46And as you say, keep on dancing and it's all going.
- 1:04:49All right, yeah. What's the biggest life lesson
- 1:04:53you've learned so far? You're not owed anything.
- 1:05:01You're not owed anything regardless of how high you
- 1:05:06highly. You think of yourself.
- 1:05:08You are not put on this Earth in order to receive what you think
- 1:05:13you're owed. Hmm, sometimes people are lucky.
- 1:05:17Sometimes people are not lucky and If you Talent only gets you
- 1:05:26so far, right? If you have talent and raw
- 1:05:30fucking passion and drive, something will happen,
- 1:05:34regardless of how what that means, something will happen.
- 1:05:38I used to think, like, I was going back to point earlier,
- 1:05:40like, going to college. I'm like, yeah, I'm James there
- 1:05:43for my mom and dad broke up and I've had a shit time, therefore
- 1:05:46the universe owes me a film when I'm 26, that's not true.
- 1:05:51And that mentality is. Shammi Kapoor - so, my biggest
- 1:05:57life lesson is, is is is to realize as soon as possible that
- 1:06:02whatever Journey you're on, you're not owed anything
- 1:06:05regardless of how hard it's been for you.
- 1:06:07You own the bare minimum and that's fucking Being trip the
- 1:06:13same as the next man. You know, be have just that you
- 1:06:17do. The bare minimum where you know,
- 1:06:19you shouldn't have had to go for any kind of misery and hardship
- 1:06:22in a sense of like especially when it comes to Childhood.
- 1:06:25Hey I'm getting a bit convoluted here.
- 1:06:26So yeah you're not old anything work hard for what you want to
- 1:06:30achieve and don't give up. It's going to be hard.
- 1:06:36But yeah, you're not old enough him.
- 1:06:39Amazing stuff. Honestly, I don't think really,
- 1:06:42I really, really appreciate having.
- 1:06:44Had you on the show today? It's been met.
- 1:06:48That's why I need it. Yeah, probably to really fun
- 1:06:51talking about this shit because because it's helpful for me,
- 1:06:53too, because as much as I preach this shit, I'll talk, some, I
- 1:06:57can't get our bed, some days. Well, it's I have Crohn's
- 1:06:59disease to, which is a recent diagnosis for me.
- 1:07:02Got a good donors of a grand idea.
- 1:07:04I live on 25, 26 out of my life. I didn't know and how has it
- 1:07:07changed your life. Exactly.
- 1:07:10All is made my mess, affected me.
- 1:07:12Mentally more than anything has ever affected me before in my
- 1:07:14life because I didn't really understand it.
- 1:07:16Still don't really understand it.
- 1:07:17Have no idea what's really going on with it and I'm in a lot of
- 1:07:19pain all the time, but I think once I understand it more and I
- 1:07:24get on the right medication and I have the right treatment, it
- 1:07:27will be less of a worry in a strange me but dude, fuck me.
- 1:07:31I now the level of comparison has gone beyond my professional
- 1:07:35life and is now it's my personal life.
- 1:07:36Now you know I look at my friends, my girlfriend everybody
- 1:07:39that's around me, the can just drink whatever they want to
- 1:07:41drink, eat whatever they want to eat, go out and do whatever they
- 1:07:44want to do is shit. But again I've got just going to
- 1:07:49use it as fuel and if I can use my platform, It's kind of like
- 1:07:52be honest and talk about it then that's another positive that
- 1:07:55comes with it. But yeah it's not it's not been
- 1:07:59nice but it's not the end of the world know.
- 1:08:01It could be worse. Yes.
- 1:08:08Okay, final question, do you have any upcoming projects or
- 1:08:10some final thoughts? Do you like to show more
- 1:08:12lessons? Yes I'm doing.
- 1:08:14I'm playing inspector newcomen and the Strange Case of dr.
- 1:08:19Jekyll and mr. Hyde, a Dolby Theater from the
- 1:08:21September. The 30th of September to the
- 1:08:2322nd of October and then from the 26th of October 2012 for
- 1:08:29November, I am, we're doing the show in Horn Church, the Queen's
- 1:08:32theater. That's what some that's what's
- 1:08:35on the cards next and then Of that probably cover probably
- 1:08:41want to marry and elope with my girlfriend and disappearance of
- 1:08:45the Wilderness. Not even any final thoughts for
- 1:08:53listeners. Don't give up.
- 1:08:58And because you're only doing yourself a disservice and that
- 1:09:00little boy and little girl in your heart that wanted to do
- 1:09:03what they wanted to do. And I was kid.
- 1:09:05Just keep going, man, keep going, beautiful.
- 1:09:08Thank you so much for appearing on the show.
- 1:09:10James, you're always welcome on the show again.
- 1:09:12And yes, master, thank you met. Frank family has been an
- 1:09:16absolute pleasure and also, it's really nice to get the chat
