- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way, hey?
- 0:27Everybody, good morning. Let me ask you a question.
- 0:31Do you ever feel like you lose your enthusiasm for whatever it
- 0:35is that you're working on? I mean, I think it's a pretty
- 0:37common feeling, and I've had it myself and it comes from being
- 0:43misdirected, getting pulled in 20 directions among a billion
- 0:47other things that it could be. But yesterday I had a major
- 0:51challenge with my computer. Like I'm talking a major
- 0:54challenge with my computer where all of a sudden something that
- 0:57has a TB of memory is telling me that it doesn't have the ability
- 1:01to upload videos. And of course, you know, this
- 1:05happens and I'm in the midst of trying to upload videos because
- 1:10that's when that would show up, right?
- 1:12And I can't get them over to where they're supposed to be.
- 1:16I'm super frustrated. And I've got to go to the Apple
- 1:19Store. So head to the Apple Store, get
- 1:22in there, and right away, you know, I had an hour, had a gap
- 1:26in my schedule, had somebody change their time to another day
- 1:29this week. And I was like, OK, I'm going to
- 1:31just run down and take care of it.
- 1:32And they'll be able to fix it. The Wizards that they are walk
- 1:36in, they look at it and they're like, yeah, we're going to have
- 1:38to wipe the whole thing clean. Sometimes when this happens, the
- 1:43whole thing was just this one little tiny pocket of stuff that
- 1:47was clogged up. Doesn't even matter what was
- 1:49wrong with it. They had to wipe it clean and re
- 1:51back it up from, you know, my, the, the whole cloud.
- 1:56So I had to, I said, well, I can't do it now.
- 1:59I've got to come back. I've got too many things, other
- 2:01things to do and I'm going to come back at the end of the day.
- 2:04So at the end of the day, it's much quieter.
- 2:06There's not as much drama going on there.
- 2:08And I walk in and I get this amazing two team guys,
- 2:12technicians trying to figure out what did I do that initiated
- 2:15this problem to begin with? Because it was holding on to
- 2:17memory and it wasn't letting go of the memory from all this
- 2:21other stuff that I had been doing and it was causing it to
- 2:24dog out. And I kind of got into this
- 2:26conversation station with the guy while we were sitting there
- 2:29working on it. And I said, it's funny how it
- 2:30does that. It's like it's remembering
- 2:32everything and it's clogging the system.
- 2:34It's kind of like what we do. And he said, what do you mean?
- 2:36And I said, as humans, this is kind of what we do.
- 2:38We hang on to so many memories and it just dogs us out.
- 2:42And he's like, what do you, I don't understand.
- 2:45And I said, well, when you hang on to so many things, you, you
- 2:48start to feel burdened. You start to feel like you're
- 2:50flat lining. You start to feel flat about
- 2:52things. And it it and it happens.
- 2:55And he goes, I feel that way right now about my projects and
- 2:58the stuff that I'm doing outside of this.
- 3:00And we get into this very deep conversation and he's like,
- 3:03that's such a cool analogy and never thought of it that way.
- 3:05And I'm like, yeah, it'd be great sometimes if you could
- 3:07just wipe your memory clean, but then you wouldn't be you.
- 3:10So you have to have the memory. He's like, so how do you get out
- 3:13of it when you feel like you're flatlining?
- 3:15How do you feel like it when you just, you lost your mojo?
- 3:18You know, I have a lot of clients that say I've lost my
- 3:20mojo. And the thing that we have to
- 3:22remember is in that process of losing things and they're not
- 3:28really gone, OK? They're they're there, they're
- 3:31just not prioritized. They're not at the front of the
- 3:33bus, They're not the emotions driving, they're at the back.
- 3:38And often it's because we stop doing the things that we know
- 3:42matter. When we stop doing the things
- 3:44that we know matter, that things that change us, that help us,
- 3:47that's when we start to get into trouble.
- 3:50So it is imperative, it is in, it is critical that we
- 3:54constantly remember we have to do certain things to help us
- 3:58feel good about everything. We can't just cut that out.
- 4:01We can't just put it to the side.
- 4:03So one of the things that I had done before that was a a very
- 4:07major like problem in my world for me creatively was I stopped
- 4:13taking out my large Canon camera.
- 4:15I stopped taking close up pictures for the most part.
- 4:18I'd pull it out here and there, but it wasn't part of my daily
- 4:20activity because I was so focused on creating video
- 4:23content. And we're getting, you know, we
- 4:26have to get this video library built up for the YouTube channel
- 4:29and they're releasing them and they're working on them.
- 4:31And it took me out of, of things, not to mention there
- 4:34were just other things in my personal life that were calling
- 4:38for attention. And those things pull from
- 4:42where, where, what time you have.
- 4:44But I stopped doing the things that made me feel filled up.
- 4:47And I was explaining that to him and I said, I caught it really
- 4:50early. So it doesn't affect me, but it
- 4:52does affect me in a smaller way. It still does.
- 4:56I still have to work on it. I still have to progress with
- 4:59it. I still have to make it work.
- 5:01So the point of this today is to say if you feel like you're
- 5:05flatlining, if you feel like you've lost your mojo, if you
- 5:07feel like you're going into the southern summertime mindset of
- 5:12like, oh, it's so hot, I'm just going to sit and have a tea.
- 5:15You know, that's fine. It's fine.
- 5:18Just be aware of it. Choose to make sure that you are
- 5:22putting yourself in a place that you can get out of it quickly,
- 5:26unless you like to stay there, but this is for those that
- 5:28don't. Make sure you're doing something
- 5:31to fill yourself back up so that you can tether to that mojo,
- 5:35tether to that good stuff. Because when you're flatlining
- 5:38you, you have to know there is always a way out of it.
- 5:42It's just a question of what you're tapping into within
- 5:45yourself. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:47you have a blessed day and I'll see you tomorrow.
- 5:49Bye.
