- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We're gonna keep with our running theme of two thousand
- 0:09Speaker 1: and eleven this morning, and we're going to talk about
- 0:11Speaker 1: how Glaine Maxwell was invited to a Silicon Valley party
- 0:18Speaker 1: in twenty and eleven even though everybody knew what she
- 0:22Speaker 1: was up to. And that's confirmed by Ellen Powell, who
- 0:27Speaker 1: was the one time CEO of Reddit and who also
- 0:31Speaker 1: worked for the adventure capital firm Kleiner Perkins now Kleiner
- 0:36Speaker 1: Perkins is a very very popular venture capital firm that
- 0:42Speaker 1: works with Silicon Valley to invest in projects. And at
- 0:47Speaker 1: this party there was a whole host of characters and
- 0:50Speaker 1: people who you would consider a who's who of not
- 0:53Speaker 1: only politics but business, and everybody knew what Jeffrey Epstein want. Okay,
- 1:01Speaker 1: we saw the letter from Acosta in twenty and eleven
- 1:04Speaker 1: that we talked about already, we know what Epstein was
- 1:08Speaker 1: up to. They knew what Epstein was up to, they
- 1:11Speaker 1: knew what Maxwell was accused of. Yet she was accepted
- 1:17Speaker 1: into the so called elite circle with open arms. And
- 1:21Speaker 1: let's remember she was also invited to a getaway with
- 1:25Speaker 1: Jeff Bezos as well in fact, we're gonna go back
- 1:29Speaker 1: later on today and we're gonna talk about that article
- 1:31Speaker 1: as well, because as we're traversing the history here and
- 1:36Speaker 1: hitting the time machine to add more context, there's going
- 1:40Speaker 1: to be a few articles that we've covered already that
- 1:42Speaker 1: we're going to cover again with a fresh perspective. So
- 1:46Speaker 1: let's get into this article from Insider and let's see
- 1:49Speaker 1: what's up. This article was originally published on July sixth
- 1:53Speaker 1: of twenty twenty and the author is Aaron Holmes Headline.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Former Silicon Valley says Glen Maxwell attended an investor party
- 2:03Speaker 1: in two thousand and eleven despite reports about her supplying
- 2:07Speaker 1: underage girls for sex. You know why, right, And I'll
- 2:11Speaker 1: just be very blunt. The only sin for these people
- 2:16Speaker 1: is being broke. You can molest girls, you can be
- 2:19Speaker 1: involved in trafficking operations, you can hang out with arms dealers,
- 2:24Speaker 1: as long as you're not broke. Former Reddit CEO Ellen
- 2:33Speaker 1: Powell says Glainne Maxwell was rubbing elbows with Silicon Valley's
- 2:37Speaker 1: elite in two thousand and eleven, and Pow believes people
- 2:41Speaker 1: suspected Maxwell's ties to child trafficking at the time and
- 2:44Speaker 1: didn't care well, look, we don't have to suspect that
- 2:48Speaker 1: they didn't care. If they cared, they would have done
- 2:51Speaker 1: something about it. If they cared, they wouldn't be inviting
- 2:54Speaker 1: Glainne Maxwell to these events. But when you really get
- 2:57Speaker 1: down to it, the so called elite in our our
- 3:00Speaker 1: society really don't care about anybody but themselves. Oh they
- 3:04Speaker 1: wax poetic, they'll fire off some platitudes and tell you
- 3:07Speaker 1: how much they care, but their behavior and their actions
- 3:11Speaker 1: tell a whole different story. Maxwell was arrested last week
- 3:18Speaker 1: and his waiting trial for four criminal charges relating to
- 3:22Speaker 1: procuring and transporting miners for illegal sex acts. Prosecutors say
- 3:27Speaker 1: Maxwell participated in a sex trafficking operation alongside her partner
- 3:32Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. Oh yeah, well we know that. In hindsight,
- 3:37Speaker 1: it wasn't just prosecutors saying this rather obvious that everybody
- 3:42Speaker 1: was hip to what's going on. How many more articles
- 3:45Speaker 1: do we have to read before people get the hint?
- 3:48Speaker 1: Here everybody who was anybody meaning part of this world,
- 3:54Speaker 1: they all knew the scuttle, but they all knew what
- 3:57Speaker 1: people were talking about. And then, for me, the clincher
- 4:01Speaker 1: is if you go into Jeffrey Epstein's house and you
- 4:04Speaker 1: see all of that weird ass decorps and you don't
- 4:06Speaker 1: say something about it or you don't get creeped out
- 4:09Speaker 1: by it? What does that say about you? Pow, a
- 4:16Speaker 1: former partner at venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins, said Maxwell
- 4:20Speaker 1: was at the firm's holiday party in twenty eleven, more
- 4:23Speaker 1: than two years after Epstein was first convicted of soliciting
- 4:27Speaker 1: sex from a fourteen year old. Maxwell was Epstein's longtime girlfriend,
- 4:32Speaker 1: an associate, co conspirator, general all around scusbag, fellow child abuser,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and bipedal serpent at one time, but did not face
- 4:41Speaker 1: any criminal charges prior to the twenty twenty arrest. Look,
- 4:45Speaker 1: just because you don't face criminal charges doesn't mean you
- 4:48Speaker 1: should be accepted in so called polite society. Has anyone
- 4:55Speaker 1: invited oj Simpson to any of these events lately? Oh no,
- 4:59Speaker 1: they haven't, Huh. I wonder why Maxwell was at the
- 5:04Speaker 1: Kleiner Halloween party, excuse me, holiday party in twenty and eleven.
- 5:08Speaker 1: But I had no desire to meet with her, much
- 5:10Speaker 1: less have a photo taken with her. Pow rode in
- 5:13Speaker 1: a tweet screenshotted and reposted by reporter Lachlan Marquay. We
- 5:19Speaker 1: knew about her supplying underage girls for sex, but I
- 5:22Speaker 1: guess that was fine with the cool people who managed
- 5:24Speaker 1: the tightly controlled guest list. First of all, what is
- 5:28Speaker 1: this we stuff? So you knew and you still went,
- 5:33Speaker 1: what does that even mean? I don't care who invites
- 5:36Speaker 1: me to a party if I know that there's going
- 5:38Speaker 1: to be you know, child abusers there and known child abusers. Look,
- 5:43Speaker 1: we're not talking about two thousand and two here where
- 5:46Speaker 1: you can say, oh, we had no idea who Jeffrey
- 5:49Speaker 1: Epstein was. Now, I don't buy that, but at least
- 5:52Speaker 1: you have a leg to stand on, right, You can
- 5:54Speaker 1: at least try and have the shield of ignorant. Yes,
- 6:00Speaker 1: But in twenty and eleven, that whole entire defense goes
- 6:05Speaker 1: right out the window. Right, everybody knew what he was
- 6:07Speaker 1: by that point. Pal set her Twitter account to private
- 6:12Speaker 1: Monday morning after sending the tweet. When reached for comment
- 6:16Speaker 1: by Business Insider, Pal shared two additional tweets that she
- 6:19Speaker 1: subsequently posted clarifying her remarks. In one tweet, Pal link
- 6:24Speaker 1: to a Daily Mail report published in March two thousand
- 6:27Speaker 1: and eleven, in which Epstein's survivor accused Maxwell of participating
- 6:32Speaker 1: in the abuse. This is called backtracking. This is called
- 6:36Speaker 1: not wanting to get called out on the carpet and
- 6:38Speaker 1: not wanting to have to expose the rest of your friends.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Oh well, I'm just talking about this article that I read. Yeah, right,
- 6:45Speaker 1: everybody knew what she was up to, Miss pal To
- 6:50Speaker 1: be clear, the press had described her as supplying underage
- 6:53Speaker 1: girls for sex, but she had not been charged, So
- 6:56Speaker 1: I guess it would be more accurate to say we
- 6:58Speaker 1: suspected verse he knew, Powell wrote, I mean, I guess,
- 7:03Speaker 1: but the genies out of the bottle at this point,
- 7:06Speaker 1: we all know what you meant. We all know that
- 7:08Speaker 1: you and your friends knew exactly who Glenn Maxwell was,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and she was still accepted with open arms. How many
- 7:16Speaker 1: of you gave her a kiss under the missiletoe while
- 7:19Speaker 1: sipping on some eggnog. When another Twitter user pressed Powell
- 7:25Speaker 1: about why she didn't speak about Maxwell, Powell responded that
- 7:29Speaker 1: what I said made no difference here. Kleiner Perkins is
- 7:34Speaker 1: a storied Silicon Valley VC firm that provided early funding
- 7:38Speaker 1: to companies including Amazon, Square, Snap, Google, and Twitter. Powell
- 7:44Speaker 1: a former partner at the firm left in twenty twelve.
- 7:48Speaker 1: She later filed a lawsuit alleging that she was fired
- 7:51Speaker 1: for complaining about gender discrimination, but lost that case. Now,
- 7:56Speaker 1: obviously miss Powell had a couple of issues with Kleiner
- 8:01Speaker 1: and Perkins, but I think her issues with Kleiner and
- 8:05Speaker 1: Perkins are irrelevant in the overall story here, Right, the
- 8:08Speaker 1: fact is Glenn Maxwell was there, So her having an
- 8:12Speaker 1: Axter grind with Kleiner and Perkins, well, that might be
- 8:16Speaker 1: an issue if she was just making something up with
- 8:19Speaker 1: no evidence, right, But we all know who Glenn Maxwell
- 8:22Speaker 1: was and we all know what she was up to.
- 8:24Speaker 1: And if you think these hotshots over at Kleiner Perkins
- 8:27Speaker 1: had no idea, well, I don't know what to say.
- 8:31Speaker 1: According to a twenty eleven Business Insider report, the Kleiner
- 8:35Speaker 1: Perkins holiday party that year trewe esteemed guests including former
- 8:39Speaker 1: Vice president Al Gore, Apple VP Engineering, Apple VP of
- 8:44Speaker 1: Engineering Mike Gabbett, and former HP chairman Ray Lane. Perkins
- 8:50Speaker 1: spokesperson declined to comment. Oh, I'm sure they did. Why
- 8:53Speaker 1: are they having Gleann Maxwell at any of their events?
- 8:56Speaker 1: It's so gross and it's weird, like if somebody even
- 8:59Speaker 1: has this cloud hanging over their head, and they haven't
- 9:02Speaker 1: addressed it. They've just hoped everyone would forget about it.
- 9:07Speaker 1: That's not somebody that you should welcome to one of
- 9:10Speaker 1: your parties. You have to explain yourself, air out your
- 9:14Speaker 1: whole entire circumstance, and let people understand what happened, not
- 9:18Speaker 1: hide from it, not attack survivors every time they come
- 9:21Speaker 1: out like Maxwell and Epstein did. But yet people over
- 9:25Speaker 1: here at Kleiner Perkins, the Silicon Valley types, they were
- 9:30Speaker 1: more than willing to have Glenn Maxwell come over, get
- 9:34Speaker 1: herself a little egnog, sit on Santa's lap, whatever it was.
- 9:40Speaker 1: A Kleiner Perkins spokesperson declined to comment. Oh, I am sure.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Epstein and Maxwell have had multiple brushes with Silicon Valley's elite,
- 9:49Speaker 1: many of whom since declined knowing the full extent of
- 9:52Speaker 1: their alleged crimes. Epstein was known to pursue business relationships
- 9:57Speaker 1: with tech leaders, business owners, and academics elite universities. In
- 10:01Speaker 1: March twenty and eleven, he sat down to dinner with
- 10:05Speaker 1: a slate of tech billionaires, including Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos,
- 10:11Speaker 1: Google co founder Sir j Brinn, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer
- 10:16Speaker 1: and Tesla Ceo. Elon Musk now Elon Musk says that
- 10:21Speaker 1: he never met these people. He doesn't know them, but
- 10:23Speaker 1: that conflicts with what we know now. I'm not saying
- 10:27Speaker 1: Elon Musk was somebody who was partying with them all
- 10:29Speaker 1: the time or anything like that, but there's no doubt
- 10:32Speaker 1: that they were rubbing shoulders at these events. Musk was
- 10:37Speaker 1: photographed with Maxwell at an Oscars after party in twenty
- 10:41Speaker 1: and fourteen. Musk claims that he did not know Maxwell
- 10:45Speaker 1: and that she photo bombed him at the time. Epstein,
- 10:48Speaker 1: who died by suicide in jail allegedly in August of
- 10:51Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, said in twenty and eighteen he had given
- 10:55Speaker 1: advice to Musk. A spokesperson for Musk denied the claim. Look,
- 10:59Speaker 1: I don't know one way or the other what their
- 11:01Speaker 1: relationship was. We know Jeffrey Epstein had a propensity for
- 11:07Speaker 1: speaking a bunch of bullshit, and he liked to act
- 11:10Speaker 1: like he knew people that he didn't. But he also
- 11:12Speaker 1: did have a bunch of friends that he did know,
- 11:14Speaker 1: people that he was giving advice to. So either way,
- 11:19Speaker 1: it's not a good look going to dinner with Jeffrey
- 11:20Speaker 1: Epstein in twenty and eleven. No matter how you chop it.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Epstein also knew Bill Gates meeting with the Microsoft founder
- 11:31Speaker 1: multiple times following Epstein's first conviction for sex crimes in
- 11:35Speaker 1: two thousand and eight. Gates later said he met with
- 11:38Speaker 1: Epstein to try and secure funding from Epstein for his charities,
- 11:42Speaker 1: calling it a mistake in judgment. Now, if you're the
- 11:45Speaker 1: richest guy in the world, or one of the richest
- 11:47Speaker 1: guys in the world, do you really think it makes
- 11:49Speaker 1: sense to try and get funding from a child molester
- 11:53Speaker 1: who's buying that shit. I mean, people will because they
- 11:56Speaker 1: don't want to really see the scope of what's going
- 11:59Speaker 1: on here. But for those of us who understand, for
- 12:02Speaker 1: those of us who have looked behind the curtain, we
- 12:05Speaker 1: understand how gross things are and just how much we
- 12:08Speaker 1: have been lied to by the so called delete All right, folks,
