Speaker 2: We are in Revelation chapter nine. Revelation chapter nine and

Speaker 2: a little background. Revelation chapter eight. We started to open

Speaker 2: the seals. We started to see judgments straight from the

Speaker 2: throne of God. We saw the ownership the title deed

Speaker 2: of the Earth. How Jesus bought to red the earth,

Speaker 2: and he bought earth so he can reap the treasures

Speaker 2: that are in it. And that is Us beloved, that

Speaker 2: is the Church. We saw the different groups, how the

Speaker 2: Church is gonna rain with Christ in the future, and

Speaker 2: how the tribulation saints are going to have great positions

Speaker 2: serving the Lord in the temple. As judgment is being

Speaker 2: poured out on this planet. And so we went through

Speaker 2: the sealed judgments. Now we're going through the trumpet trumpet judgments.

Speaker 2: And there was some woes. Right. There was an angel

Speaker 2: that flew through heaven. He said, woe, woe, woe, because

Speaker 2: of these trumpets that are about to be sounded. So

Speaker 2: it's gonna be very terrible on the planet. So let's

Speaker 2: go ahead and read it. And it says in verse nine,

Speaker 2: then the fifth angel sound and I saw a star

Speaker 2: falling from heaven to Earth. Now, if you really read

Speaker 2: into that I saw a star falling from heaven to earth.

Speaker 2: They're not talking about a literal star. This is Satan

Speaker 2: who fell from heaven a man, and it says to

Speaker 2: him was giving the key to the bottomless pit. Now,

Speaker 2: notice he didn't have the key with them. When Jesus

Speaker 2: died on the cross, he stripped Satan of all his keys,

Speaker 2: so he was able to borrow this one. So his

Speaker 2: rulership is by permission only. He doesn't have absolute power.

Speaker 2: So he was given the key to the bottomless pit.

Speaker 2: And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out

Speaker 2: of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace.

Speaker 2: So the sun in the air were darkened because of

Speaker 2: the smoke. This covered the whole earth, and out of

Speaker 2: the smoke locusts came upon the earth, and to them

Speaker 2: was given power. Here we go giving again not absolute.

Speaker 2: This is borrowed power that they were given. As the

Speaker 2: scorpions of the earth have power. They were commanded. Now

Speaker 2: again they have bral power in their commander. They're given

Speaker 2: limitations on how to use their power. They were commanded

Speaker 2: not to harm the grass of the earth, or any

Speaker 2: green thing or any tree. Now this is the food

Speaker 2: of locusts, right, This is their main food is vegetation.

Speaker 2: And as we think back to the sealed judgments, there

Speaker 2: was a judgment that burnt up one third of the

Speaker 2: trees and of the grass and the green things on

Speaker 2: the earth. And so I'm amazed that there's still some left.

Speaker 2: But what's left they're not allowed to touch. All right,

Speaker 2: let's keep going, but only those men. Now, these are

Speaker 2: for men, right, who did not have the Seal of

Speaker 2: God on their foreheads. Now, I was talking to my

Speaker 2: God is always in control. But to torment them for

Speaker 2: five months, Now, the life span of a locust is

Speaker 2: about five months, So here's five months of torment if

Speaker 2: you're stung by these demonic beings. Their torment was like

Speaker 2: the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.

Speaker 2: In those days, men will seek to seek death and

Speaker 2: will not find it. They will desire to die and

Speaker 2: death will flee from them. Now this is amazing. Death

Speaker 2: is gonna take a holiday. There are gonna be people

Speaker 2: who are gonna seek death. Death can actually be a blessing.

Speaker 2: life is temporary. And think about people who are incapacitated,

Speaker 2: us is spiritual. We are spiritual beings and this body

Speaker 2: is like a suit that we're gonna take off one day.

Speaker 2: But when this body is not able to function in

Speaker 2: a way that it was purposed, we cannot express ourselves.

Speaker 2: People are bedridden, there's people who can't talk, people who

Speaker 2: are paralyzed. That's not life, that is not living. Through

Speaker 2: God's mercy, he will allow the spirit to leave the body.

Speaker 2: But here people are imagining. People are gonna try to

Speaker 2: commence suicide and there's nothing you can do. People are

Speaker 2: gonna be burning their brains out and their heads are

Speaker 2: gonna be big old hole in their head and they're

Speaker 2: not gonna be able to die. They're gonna still be

Speaker 2: there and suffer and feel that pain. This sting must

Speaker 2: be horrible. Imagine the torment. Wow. Now verse seven describes

Speaker 2: the locus. The shape of the locusts was like horses

Speaker 2: prepared for battle. On their heads where crowns of something

Speaker 2: like gold, now saying that it wasn't gold, right, but

Speaker 2: it's something like gold. And their faces were like the

Speaker 2: faces of men. They had hair like woman's hair, and

Speaker 2: their teeth were like lions teeth. And they had breastplates

Speaker 2: like breastplates of iron. And the sound of their wings

Speaker 2: was like the sound of chariots with many horses running

Speaker 2: into battle. They had tails like scorpions, and there were
