- 0:12Speaker 1: why the fallout of his decision to sleep with the
- 0:15Speaker 1: interns is, well, it's going to have... further reaching consequences
- 0:21Speaker 1: for other Democrats. I've got the details on that coming
- 0:23Speaker 1: up on the program. Also, the president's blockade of the
- 0:26Speaker 1: Strait of Hormuz, of just the Iranian ports, as I

- 2:09Speaker 3: Boom.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Yeah, so we've got another announcement from Eric Swalwell. He's
- 2:18Speaker 1: resigning from Congress. He's out entirely. The guy's calling it quits.
- 2:24Speaker 1: He's crying uncle. He's trying to get out of this thing,
- 2:26Speaker 1: but I'm not certain that he's going to get out
- 2:31Speaker 1: in a way that he can, first of all, salvage
- 2:33Speaker 1: any kind of career. But beyond that, without doing a
- 2:36Speaker 1: lot of damage to other people, too. And I'll explain
- 2:38Speaker 1: why in a moment. But here's Eric Swalwell's statement. Here's Mr.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Fang Fang telling everybody that he's deeply sorry to his family,
- 2:47Speaker 1: his staff, and his constituents for mistakes in judgment. It
- 2:50Speaker 1: was mistakes in judgment that he's made in his past.
- 2:54Speaker 1: By the way, this is all kind of like squirrely
- 2:56Speaker 1: language to admit that he cheated on his wife on
- 2:58Speaker 1: a bunch of occasions. Quote, I will fight the serious
- 3:02Speaker 1: false allegations made against me. However, I must take responsibility
- 3:06Speaker 1: and ownership for the mistakes I did make. Well, what
- 3:08Speaker 1: are they? Swalwell? I'm aware of efforts to bring an
- 3:11Speaker 1: immediate expulsion vote against me and other members, and other members.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Expelling anyone in Congress without due process within days of
- 3:20Speaker 1: an allegation being made is wrong, but it's also wrong
- 3:23Speaker 1: for my constituents to have me distracted from my duties. Therefore,
- 3:27Speaker 1: I plan to resign my seat in Congress. I will
- 3:29Speaker 1: work with my staff in the coming days to ensure
- 3:31Speaker 1: that they are able, in my absence, to serve the
- 3:33Speaker 1: needs of the good people of the 14th Congressional District.
- 3:38Speaker 1: End quote, Eric Swalwell. with the statement. Now, for good measure,
- 3:43Speaker 1: they should probably kick him out of Congress anyway. None
- 3:45Speaker 1: of this, you know, lingering period where he gets to
- 3:47Speaker 1: set the terms of his own departure. Just give him
- 3:49Speaker 1: the boot, fellas. Give him the boot. But Swalwell says
- 3:53Speaker 1: that he's now resigning his seat in Congress as well,
- 3:55Speaker 1: which makes a lot of sense because if he lacked
- 3:58Speaker 1: the requisite judgment to run for governor, he also lacks
- 4:01Speaker 1: the requisite judgment to be in Congress. So he's ducking out.
- 4:07Speaker 1: He didn't give us a timeline for when he will
- 4:09Speaker 1: actually leave. His seat will be filled by greasy Gavin Newsom.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom gets to decide on whether to call a
- 4:18Speaker 1: special election when a congressional office becomes vacant. So he'll
- 4:23Speaker 1: set the terms of how that gets done. And then,
- 4:26Speaker 1: you know, the interesting thing is Swalwell's still on the
- 4:30Speaker 1: ballot for June 2nd in California for the governor's race there.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Because it's late in the process, his name's going to
- 4:37Speaker 1: still appear on the ballot. And Boy, the Democrats did
- 4:41Speaker 1: him dirty. Didn't they do him dirty? I'm not saying
- 4:43Speaker 1: he didn't do these things. In fact, I'm pretty certain
- 4:46Speaker 1: he did. But the Democrats did him dirty. I went
- 4:50Speaker 1: over the details yesterday. They had this blackmail file on
- 4:52Speaker 1: this Swalwell character. And they saved it for this moment.
- 4:56Speaker 1: They just kept it in a filing cabinet up until
- 5:00Speaker 1: the moment they needed to destroy him for their own
- 5:02Speaker 1: political expediency. And then boom, down in no time. Down
- 5:06Speaker 1: goes Frazier.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Down.
- 5:07Speaker 1: The guy's gone. thanks to the Democrats and their ruthlessness.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Man.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Now, there are Democrats right now who are claiming they
- 5:17Speaker 1: didn't know anything about this. People who are very close
- 5:20Speaker 1: to Eric Swalwell, who say they are completely stunned by
- 5:24Speaker 1: these revelations. Now, of course, they're lying to you, but
- 5:27Speaker 1: it is worth taking a look at all of this.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Let me start with the man who Eric Swalwell has
- 5:33Speaker 1: called his best friend ever. in the world. Here is
- 5:39Speaker 1: Eric Swalwell. This was very recently, actually. Eric Swalwell calling
- 5:43Speaker 1: Ruben Gallego, Senator Ruben Gallego of Arizona, his best friend
- 5:47Speaker 1: in the whole world.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Watch.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Tonight you get to meet my best friend in the world,
- 5:52Speaker 1: Ruben Gallego. There he is waving, his best friend in
- 5:57Speaker 1: the whole world. They, yeah, they're thick as thieves, these guys.
- 6:01Speaker 1: They're thick as thieves. In fact, do you remember the
- 6:04Speaker 1: images of these guys riding camels together, shirtless in Qatar.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And I know you're probably thinking to yourself, Vince, I
- 6:10Speaker 1: really don't want to see that image. Well, I don't
- 6:12Speaker 1: really care. I have to show you this image. I
- 6:14Speaker 1: have to show you what it looks like. It's so crazy.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Look at this. This is, guys, this is them riding
- 6:20Speaker 1: shirtless in Qatar on camels. Ladies and gentlemen, these guys.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Talk about, talk about friendship. Does friendship ever look any
- 6:30Speaker 1: better than that? That's crazy. Look at that. Holy cow.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Riding their camels together. And you get the glistening sea
- 6:37Speaker 1: in the background. They're standing in the desert. They're there
- 6:40Speaker 1: with their wives. Do you remember when they were there?
- 6:42Speaker 1: They were there during COVID. It was the COVID lockdowns.
- 6:44Speaker 1: This was early 2021. The rest of the country is
- 6:48Speaker 1: like completely locked down under the Biden administration. And these
- 6:52Speaker 1: jackasses are in Qatar. Qatar, Qatar, Qatar. They're overseas, riding camels, shirtless.
- 7:02Speaker 1: They're best friends. They're best friends. best friends in the
- 7:06Speaker 1: whole world. So you would think that maybe Ruben Gallego
- 7:12Speaker 1: would know something about what Eric Swalwell was up to,
- 7:16Speaker 1: about the fact that he was sleeping with the interns,
- 7:18Speaker 1: that he was doing things with the interns, like getting
- 7:21Speaker 1: them very drunk and then taking them back to hotel
- 7:23Speaker 1: rooms and then having unwanted sex with them. Maybe he
- 7:27Speaker 1: would know something about any of this or have some suspicions.
- 7:30Speaker 1: So yesterday, a reporter caught up with Ruben Gallego and
- 7:34Speaker 1: asked him, What did you know? And watch as he
- 7:37Speaker 1: throws his best friend in the whole world directly under
- 7:41Speaker 1: the bus wheels.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Watch.
- 7:44Speaker 3: I mean, and the man with a double life and
- 7:53Speaker 3: for many, I mean, more than.
- 7:55Speaker 4: 20 congressmen, people have served with him for a long time.
- 7:58Speaker 4: We had no clue.
- 7:59Speaker 5: We had no clue.
- 8:00Speaker 4: And look, unlike.
- 8:02Speaker 3: whatever's happening with Jeffrey Epstein because.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Like, we all ask for accountability. And we'll continue to
- 8:08Speaker 4: ask for accountability. You know, victims deserve justice.
- 8:11Speaker 1: But he let a double.
- 8:13Speaker 6: Life in and tricked many of us into.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Thinking he was something he was not.
- 8:16Speaker 7: What?
- 8:16Speaker 2: All right.
- 8:17Speaker 4: So, look, Gallego goes, Gallego wants you to believe.
- 8:32Speaker 1: That Eric Swalwell is like a criminal mastermind. He's just,
- 8:37Speaker 1: he's unbelievable. This guy has a remarkable ability to pull
- 8:43Speaker 1: off a con. He's a world-class con artist. He tricked
- 8:46Speaker 1: everybody around him. I was his best friend in the
- 8:48Speaker 1: whole world. I had no idea. I didn't know that
- 8:51Speaker 1: this guy was a pervert. He led a double life.
- 8:54Speaker 1: He really pulled the wool over my eyes. I just thought,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you know, we were riding camels shirtless. I had no
- 8:59Speaker 1: idea that this guy was a creep. You believe that
- 9:02Speaker 1: for a second? You believe that for a second? Of
- 9:06Speaker 1: course not. Eric Swalwell's not some sort of criminal mastermind.
- 9:10Speaker 1: He was taking pictures of his own junk and sending
- 9:13Speaker 1: it over Snapchat to interns. Oh, yeah, that's really good.
- 9:18Speaker 1: That's brilliant stuff. What a cover-up. What a clown this
- 9:23Speaker 1: dude is. So you know what's happening here. Gallego's trying
- 9:26Speaker 1: to salvage his own political career. Now, there are plenty
- 9:29Speaker 1: of people. I know I've seen the speculation online. It's rampant.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Is it in the chat, guys? There's a. Oh, was
- 9:36Speaker 1: that difficult to hear? Was that audio difficult to hear?
- 9:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry if it was. I know there was a
- 9:40Speaker 1: lot of wind in the audio. Whoever captured it, captured
- 9:42Speaker 1: on our phone. But Gallego says that he had no
- 9:45Speaker 1: knowledge about any of this, that that Swalwell was living
- 9:49Speaker 1: a double life and that he was he's completely stunned
- 9:52Speaker 1: by it. Everybody he knows, every Democrat member of Congress,
- 9:55Speaker 1: he knows everybody's stunned by Swalwell's behavior.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yeah, bullshit.
- 10:00Speaker 1: It's a complete lie. It's a complete lie from Gallego
- 10:03Speaker 1: and everybody else around him. They're just trying to run
- 10:05Speaker 1: for cover. They're trying to get out of the fallout
- 10:07Speaker 1: of this thing. But let me tell you what I
- 10:10Speaker 1: instantly thought when I saw that clip. Swalwell is now
- 10:15Speaker 1: a guy who basically has nothing left to lose. He
- 10:19Speaker 1: just lost his chance of becoming governor of California. He
- 10:22Speaker 1: just got his ass thrown out of Congress. Now he's
- 10:27Speaker 1: got his reputation to the extent that it existed outside.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I mean, we already thought he was a joke, but
- 10:32Speaker 1: the rest of the country now thinks he's ridiculous. This
- 10:35Speaker 1: will dog him for the rest of his life. And
- 10:38Speaker 1: that's a product of his own decisions, no question. But
- 10:41Speaker 1: how is he going to view this? How is he
- 10:43Speaker 1: going to view this? Well, presumably, he's going to feel
- 10:46Speaker 1: completely betrayed by the left that assembled this file on
- 10:50Speaker 1: him and then destroyed whatever existed of his political career.
- 10:55Speaker 1: So Gallego, the guy who spends all this time with
- 10:57Speaker 1: him through the years, the second that he needs to
- 11:01Speaker 1: trash Swalwell for political expediency, he comes out and he's like,
- 11:04Speaker 1: that guy's a liar. I knew nothing about it. I
- 11:07Speaker 1: can't believe what a scumbag he is.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Whoa.
- 11:12Speaker 1: What comes next? It really comes down to what's Swalwell
- 11:15Speaker 1: going to do about this. Now, you may not see
- 11:17Speaker 1: Swalwell do this in public, but if you start seeing
- 11:20Speaker 1: stories pop up about Ruben Gallego, stuff that comes from
- 11:23Speaker 1: unnamed sources, things that start appearing, rumors have it, there's allegations,
- 11:29Speaker 1: any of that, I would not be shocked if it
- 11:32Speaker 1: was Eric Swalwell or the people around him who were
- 11:34Speaker 1: generating that. I would not be shocked at all. So
- 11:37Speaker 1: in a way, it's kind of hilarious, actually, that Gallego
- 11:40Speaker 1: would come out and do this because... I would kind
- 11:43Speaker 1: of prepare yourself for what comes next here. I don't
- 11:47Speaker 1: think we're anywhere near done with this left-wing civil war
- 11:52Speaker 1: that we see breaking out over this race in California.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Holy crap. They're scared to death that these two Republicans,
- 12:01Speaker 1: you know, Chad Bianco and Steve Hilton, are going to
- 12:04Speaker 1: dominate this thing and there aren't going to be any
- 12:06Speaker 1: Democrats on the ballot. And so now their guns are
- 12:10Speaker 1: blazing at each other. in order to figure this out.
- 12:12Speaker 1: And there are Democrats who are being caught up in
- 12:14Speaker 1: the fallout of all of this. I think, you know,
- 12:18Speaker 1: on the California race specifically, who are the next candidates up? Well,
- 12:22Speaker 1: there's crazy Katie Porter, and then there's the billionaire left-wing funder,
- 12:26Speaker 1: huge donor, one of the biggest donors on the left
- 12:29Speaker 1: in the entire country, Tom Steyer. And you got to wonder,
- 12:33Speaker 1: will there be another round of this kind of viciousness
- 12:38Speaker 1: served up to say Katie Porter? It seems kind of likely, actually.
- 12:42Speaker 1: The file on Katie Porter is pretty immense. She's she's disgusting.
- 12:46Speaker 1: She jumped. She dropped boiling mashed potatoes on her husband's head.
- 12:50Speaker 1: She treats her staff like utter crap. There's a massive
- 12:54Speaker 1: file on her, much of which we already know in public.
- 12:57Speaker 1: But my guess is there's a lot of stories we
- 12:58Speaker 1: haven't heard. What are the chances we start hearing them imminently?
- 13:02Speaker 1: What are the chances that they start appearing in vicious
- 13:04Speaker 1: advertising direct at her by people of her own party?
- 13:09Speaker 1: I'd say they're pretty high, actually, especially when you've got
- 13:12Speaker 1: a huge billionaire left-wing donor running against her. If the
- 13:17Speaker 1: rest of the Democrat Party wants to continue to have
- 13:19Speaker 1: access to his money, they may join in in the
- 13:23Speaker 1: stabbing session. So keep your eyes on all of this.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I think this is about to get really crazy, even
- 13:32Speaker 1: beyond what we've already seen. But the Gallego thing, man,
- 13:35Speaker 1: that guy's a guy who's running scared. And to be clear,
- 13:39Speaker 1: Gallego already has a history here. Gallego's got his own
- 13:43Speaker 1: messed up past. That dude dumped his wife days before
- 13:48Speaker 1: she gave birth to their child. He dumped her. He
- 13:52Speaker 1: served her divorce papers within days of her giving birth
- 13:57Speaker 1: to their child. That really happened. And then at the
- 14:00Speaker 1: age of nearly 40, he marries a 25-year-old chick the
- 14:04Speaker 1: next year. This is like, these guys are cut from
- 14:09Speaker 1: the same cloth. Look at this. This is the Washington
- 14:12Speaker 1: Free Beacon who reported on this. This was back in 2024.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Eliana Johnson with the piece. Likely to give birth any
- 14:20Speaker 1: day was the headline. Ruben Gallego served pregnant wife with
- 14:23Speaker 1: divorce papers. She was blindsided. On December 15th of 2016, 2016,
- 14:28Speaker 1: this is right after Trump won. I wonder if that
- 14:34Speaker 1: animated any of this. Representative Ruben Gallego of Arizona filed
- 14:39Speaker 1: for divorce from his wife, Kate Gallego, then a Phoenix
- 14:43Speaker 1: City Councilwoman. He filed a motion to seal the case
- 14:47Speaker 1: on the same day. That seal was lifted on Thursday
- 14:50Speaker 1: after the free beacon prevailed in court to get it opened.
- 14:54Speaker 1: And what they found is that it was Ruben Gallego
- 14:56Speaker 1: who moved to seal the record back in 2016 in
- 14:59Speaker 1: his memo making the case to the court. He noted
- 15:01Speaker 1: that Kate Gallego had not yet been served with divorce papers, nor, quote,
- 15:05Speaker 1: had her attorney entered an appearance in the case, but
- 15:08Speaker 1: that she was, quote, likely to give birth any day.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Any day. You couldn't wait for the baby to be born.
- 15:15Speaker 1: You couldn't, you know, let things settle out a little bit.
- 15:19Speaker 8: No.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Gallego's petition for divorce stipulated that the party's marriage is, quote,
- 15:23Speaker 1: irretrievably broken and that there is, quote, no reasonable prospect
- 15:27Speaker 1: of reconciliation. That came as a shock to his wife
- 15:31Speaker 1: because Kate Gallego appears to have been blindsided by her
- 15:34Speaker 1: husband's decision. When she responded to the filing in February
- 15:37Speaker 1: of 2017, she said she was, quote, without knowledge of
- 15:40Speaker 1: information sufficient to form a belief, end quote, about her
- 15:44Speaker 1: husband's claim that the marriage was broken beyond repair, and
- 15:47Speaker 1: she denied the allegation. The newly unsealed file also shows
- 15:50Speaker 1: that Gallego wanted his wife to foot the bill for
- 15:53Speaker 1: the divorce proceedings, stipulating he was entitled to an award
- 15:56Speaker 1: of attorney's fees. Yeah. So that's Ruben Gallego. Ruben Gallego
- 16:04Speaker 1: cuts his wife loose moments before she gives birth to
- 16:07Speaker 1: the kid. That's really something else. And then he marries
- 16:11Speaker 1: the 25-year-old Sidney Barron, who he met at a congressional
- 16:15Speaker 1: baseball game. Just over a year later, he marries this girl.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. And, yeah, that's it. That's it. So that's Ruben Gallego.
- 16:28Speaker 1: So we'll see what happens with that dude. I know,
- 16:31Speaker 1: I don't know if I started this thought and didn't
- 16:33Speaker 1: finish it. Forgive me for that. But I know there's
- 16:35Speaker 1: rampant speculation right now that Ruben Gallego is the second
- 16:38Speaker 1: man pictured in the hooker video. You know, there's a...
- 16:42Speaker 1: a video of Eric Swalwell getting handsy with a hooker
- 16:46Speaker 1: in what looks like kind of like a hotel bedroom
- 16:48Speaker 1: or something. And there's another man lying on the bed.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And by the way, if you're keeping track of the
- 16:52Speaker 1: number of the people in the room, there's three people
- 16:54Speaker 1: on the bed, there's another woman in the background, and
- 16:56Speaker 1: then there's a cameraman. So that's five people in a
- 16:58Speaker 1: room while Eric Swalwell is fondling the prostitute, which is insane.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Everything about that is insane. And including the fact that
- 17:07Speaker 1: I had to stare at Eric Swalwell's like drunken horndog
- 17:11Speaker 1: face as I'm watching this video. I'm like, I don't
- 17:13Speaker 1: want to see this. It's the last thing I want
- 17:15Speaker 1: to see. But in the bed is another dude with
- 17:18Speaker 1: kind of like a like a thin beard and the
- 17:21Speaker 1: same build as Ruben Gallego. And the guys were in
- 17:24Speaker 1: black Nikes. And so the internet has been absolutely going
- 17:29Speaker 1: wild with speculation that it's Gallego and looking for any
- 17:33Speaker 1: evidence whatsoever that the black Nikes are a match for him.
- 17:37Speaker 1: And I jumped in on the internet sleuthing on that too.
- 17:41Speaker 1: And I couldn't find any pictures of Gallego in the
- 17:43Speaker 1: black Nikes. If you find them, you'll hit the jackpot.
- 17:45Speaker 1: But I didn't find any pictures. I saw him with those,
- 17:49Speaker 1: he was out hiking somewhere.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Oh boy.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Look at that. Creepy, creepy.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Okay.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Thank you, Josh, for showing that. You could see this
- 17:58Speaker 1: guy lean into the camera. You're like, is that Gallego?
- 18:01Speaker 1: Is that the guy? And not clear, not clear, but
- 18:04Speaker 1: you do see the black Nikes as clear as anything.
- 18:07Speaker 1: And so I started looking for it. I found like
- 18:10Speaker 1: pictures of Gallego hiking. He did some photo shoot for
- 18:14Speaker 1: some news outlet a couple of years back where he's
- 18:16Speaker 1: hiking and he was wearing those. I think they're called
- 18:18Speaker 1: on clouds. Is that right, Chad? You guys, any runners
- 18:21Speaker 1: or anybody have the on clouds? I think that's what
- 18:23Speaker 1: they're called. I don't own a pair, but those are
- 18:26Speaker 1: kind of fancy running shoes. And is it wrong to
- 18:32Speaker 1: think that if you're in the on cloud purchase category,
- 18:35Speaker 1: you're not in the Nike purchase category, that maybe that's an,
- 18:37Speaker 1: maybe that's an exponent. Maybe it's not him.
- 18:40Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 18:40Speaker 1: But I don't, at this point, we can't fully conclude
- 18:43Speaker 1: that it's him. That would not be responsible to conclude
- 18:46Speaker 1: that just yet. What I can conclude is these guys
- 18:50Speaker 1: are the, best friends in the whole world. And Ruben
- 18:53Speaker 1: Gallego is very obviously lying right now about the extent
- 18:57Speaker 1: of his knowledge of Eric Swalwell's duplicitous activity. That's obvious
- 19:01Speaker 1: to me. And we'll keep an eye on it. The
- 19:04Speaker 1: chat loves on... Oh, they're called on clouds.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Okay, yeah.
- 19:07Speaker 1: The chat loves them.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Okay, cool.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Cool.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Maybe he owns Nikes too. It's possible to own two
- 19:15Speaker 1: pairs of sneakers. That is possible. All right, more in
- 19:19Speaker 1: a moment. This guy, this guy resigned. And then suddenly
- 19:23Speaker 1: within an hour of Eric Swalwell resigning, we got a
- 19:26Speaker 1: Republican who resigned. Look at those Nikes. And then I
- 19:30Speaker 1: got to stare at Eric Swalwell. I don't want to
- 19:32Speaker 1: see Eric Swalwell anymore. I don't want, I was hoping
- 19:34Speaker 1: his resignation would resolve this problem. I don't want to
- 19:36Speaker 1: see him. I don't want to see him. All right,

- 20:57Speaker 1: great operation. Rumble Wallet, wallet.rumble.com. Okay, so right after Eric
- 21:03Speaker 1: Swalwell resigns, minutes later, we find out that a Republican
- 21:07Speaker 1: is also resigning. Congressman Tony Gonzalez announced yesterday that he, too,
- 21:13Speaker 1: plans to resign from the House. Now, just to be clear,
- 21:16Speaker 1: what was going to happen this week, while Congress was
- 21:19Speaker 1: not passing the Save America Act for us, while Congress
- 21:22Speaker 1: is not yet funded DHS, while Congress is dragging ass
- 21:26Speaker 1: to do all sorts of other priorities for us, they
- 21:28Speaker 1: were ramping up to kick out a bunch of members
- 21:31Speaker 1: of Congress. And these two might not be the only ones.
- 21:34Speaker 1: But what we got yesterday is Eric Swalwell and then
- 21:37Speaker 1: Republican Tony Gonzalez. is also bailing. Tony Gonzalez says he
- 21:42Speaker 1: will resign from the House. He's a Texas Republican. He
- 21:46Speaker 1: admitted a couple of weeks ago that he had an
- 21:48Speaker 1: affair with a staff member who went on to commit suicide. Oh, that's,
- 21:55Speaker 1: oh my God, that's heavy. And he's been in the
- 21:58Speaker 1: midst of facing an ethics committee investigation. And so, by
- 22:02Speaker 1: the way, has Swalwell, there was this announcement that they
- 22:04Speaker 1: were going to start investigating him. When they resign from
- 22:08Speaker 1: The Ethics Committee investigation goes away because those are only
- 22:11Speaker 1: for current members of Congress. It's not for past members
- 22:14Speaker 1: or anything like that. So as they resign, they're also
- 22:17Speaker 1: collapsing the ethics investigations into them. But you're watching as
- 22:22Speaker 1: these guys are ducking out. But there's still more to go.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I mean, there's like, you know, there's that woman, Cherfulis McCormick,
- 22:28Speaker 1: you know her, Sheila Cherfulis McCormick up in New Jersey.
- 22:31Speaker 1: She's the one who was like assaulting ICE officers up
- 22:37Speaker 1: in Jersey. And she's also accused of stealing COVID funds.
- 22:41Speaker 1: And there's a criminal investigation into her. She deserves the boot.
- 22:45Speaker 1: If you're going to start booting people, just let's just
- 22:47Speaker 1: start booting a bunch of Democrats. Let's just kick them out.
- 22:49Speaker 1: You find that they've committed crimes. You find that they've
- 22:51Speaker 1: been abusing the interns. Just give them the boot. Let's
- 22:54Speaker 1: just let's just get this going. Like get some fighting here, Republicans.
- 22:58Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be a congressman for a congressman.
- 23:01Speaker 1: It's like, OK, we got rid of a Democrat, so
- 23:03Speaker 1: we'll get rid of a Republican. No, just boot Democrats.
- 23:06Speaker 1: What would Democrats do here?
- 23:09Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 23:10Speaker 1: So Cherfellis McCormick could be next up. We'll see if
- 23:12Speaker 1: any expulsion votes happen this week. And then before we
- 23:18Speaker 1: get to our guests, I want to I want to
- 23:20Speaker 1: move to some Iran news with you because that'll set
- 23:22Speaker 1: us up very nicely. President Trump's blockade has begun of
- 23:28Speaker 1: of the Strait of Hormuz. which is important. It's an
- 23:32Speaker 1: important thing. Again, he's blockading not the entire strait, but
- 23:35Speaker 1: instead the Iranian ports. So as you're reading news items
- 23:39Speaker 1: on this, it's important to remember he's blocking shipping traffic
- 23:42Speaker 1: going into and out of the Iranian ports. The rest
- 23:45Speaker 1: of the strait is open to ship traffic, and it's
- 23:48Speaker 1: guarded now by the United States Navy. That's what's happening.
- 23:52Speaker 1: And the president is doing this to establish more leverage
- 23:56Speaker 1: over Iran and And we just got an update from J.D.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Vance about how all of this is going. Here's J.D. Vance, again,
- 24:02Speaker 1: who just came back from Islamabad describing President Trump's terms
- 24:06Speaker 1: with the Iranians.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Here he is.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Cut three. Watch this. Must have.
- 24:10Speaker 8: We must have the enriched material out of Iran. We
- 24:14Speaker 8: must have their conclusive commitment to not develop a nuclear weapon.
- 24:18Speaker 8: And I think that if the Iranians are willing to
- 24:20Speaker 8: meet us there, then this can be a very, very
- 24:23Speaker 8: good deal for both countries. If they're not willing to
- 24:25Speaker 8: meet us there, that's up to them. That's their decision.
- 24:28Speaker 8: And really, the ball is very much in their court.
- 24:30Speaker 8: So you ask what happens next? I think the Iranians
- 24:33Speaker 8: are going to determine what happens next. As the president
- 24:35Speaker 8: of the United States says, we have the cards. We
- 24:37Speaker 8: have the military advantage. We now have additional economic pressure
- 24:41Speaker 8: that we're applying on them through the blockade that we've
- 24:44Speaker 8: imposed on their oil coming out.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Of the Straits of Hormuz. Yeah, we've got a lot
- 24:49Speaker 1: of pressure on these guys. They have to come up
- 24:51Speaker 1: with a deal. Now, we found out from the vice
- 24:53Speaker 1: president in that interview on Fox that the delegation that
- 24:57Speaker 1: they met with wasn't actually fully authorized to even strike
- 25:01Speaker 1: a deal. So, yes, they negotiated for 21 hours. But
- 25:04Speaker 1: he said one of the problems was these guys weren't
- 25:05Speaker 1: even authorized to say yes, which created more problems in
- 25:10Speaker 1: terms of coming to a deal this past weekend. Here's J.D.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Vance cut for watch this.
- 25:18Speaker 8: Now, what's interesting, Brett, about this is that in the
- 25:23Speaker 8: process of doing this negotiation, I do think that we
- 25:27Speaker 8: acquired some knowledge about how the Iranians are negotiating. And
- 25:31Speaker 8: this is ultimately why we left Pakistan, because what we
- 25:34Speaker 8: figured out is that they were unable, I think, the
- 25:37Speaker 8: team that was there was unable to cut a deal.
- 25:41Speaker 8: And they had to go back to Tehran, either from
- 25:43Speaker 8: the supreme leader or somebody else, and actually get approval
- 25:47Speaker 8: to the terms that we had set. So again, whether
- 25:50Speaker 8: we have further conversations, whether we ultimately get to a deal,
- 25:54Speaker 8: I really think the ball is in the Iranian court
- 25:56Speaker 8: because we put a lot on the table. We actually
- 25:59Speaker 8: made very clear what our red lines were. We also
- 26:02Speaker 8: made clear, Brett, that we actually would be very happy.
- 26:05Speaker 8: The president of the United States has said he would
- 26:07Speaker 8: be very happy if Iran was treated like a normal country.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:14Speaker 1: There are lots of reports right now indicating that Iran
- 26:18Speaker 1: is very actively attempting to keep these negotiations alive to
- 26:22Speaker 1: come up with a resolution. In other words, the leverage
- 26:26Speaker 1: is working. And it may be that part of the
- 26:29Speaker 1: reason that the leverage is working is because Iran is
- 26:32Speaker 1: feeling pressure from its own allies, countries like China, which
- 26:37Speaker 1: takes 90% of Iran's oil exports to and very much
- 26:43Speaker 1: wants this blockade to end, wants this entire conflict to end.
- 26:47Speaker 1: In a moment, we'll talk to Peter Schweitzer about China's
- 26:49Speaker 1: reaction to all of this and how the president has
- 26:53Speaker 1: just kicked out China's power cords all over the earth
- 26:56Speaker 1: and what impact that's having on the Chinese Communist Party.
- 26:59Speaker 1: More ahead on this edition of Vince. You know, today's

- 29:26Speaker 5: All right.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Thank you to Fatty 15. I want to welcome back
- 29:29Speaker 1: to the program the great Peter Schweitzer. He's the president
- 29:32Speaker 1: of the Government Accountability Institute and the five times New
- 29:35Speaker 1: York Times bestselling author, including of the book, The Invisible Coup,
- 29:39Speaker 1: Peter Schweitzer. to have you back with us, sir.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Great to be with you, Vince. Thanks for having me.
- 29:43Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Good morning to you. And how is China reacting right now?
- 29:47Speaker 1: I'm seeing some headlines that they seem to be reeling
- 29:49Speaker 1: over the fact that the president has locked down these
- 29:52Speaker 1: Iranian ports for the moment.
- 29:54Speaker 5: Yeah, look, there are not great choices for China right now.
- 29:59Speaker 5: They have essentially lost Venezuela, which of course was a
- 30:02Speaker 5: close ally, their closest ally other than Cuba. And now
- 30:06Speaker 5: they are in the process of having a frayed relationship
- 30:09Speaker 5: with Iran. They get about 20% of their oil from Iran.
- 30:14Speaker 5: They certainly want this trade of Hormuz open for that reason.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Iran wants it closed.
- 30:19Speaker 5: So that's creating a lot of tension between them. I
- 30:22Speaker 5: would also say that Iran is quite upset with China
- 30:25Speaker 5: because China sold them a lot of military equipment, including
- 30:29Speaker 5: what were described as very advanced anti-air defense systems. which
- 30:35Speaker 5: were just decimated by the U.S. and Israeli air forces.
- 30:39Speaker 5: So the bottom line is, is that China has not
- 30:42Speaker 5: stepped up to help Iran. Iran is upset and frustrated
- 30:45Speaker 5: and China is vulnerable to this energy shutoff.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Wait, so what have we learned about China's military industry
- 30:53Speaker 1: from all of this? Because it kind of seems like
- 30:54Speaker 1: this has exposed China's weakness. Because if what I'm hearing
- 30:58Speaker 1: from you is correct, They basically have like Teemu military
- 31:02Speaker 1: equipment versus the real stuff the United States is using.
- 31:06Speaker 5: Yeah, look, they have some systems that are good, but
- 31:08Speaker 5: look at the two test cases. In Venezuela, the intelligence
- 31:13Speaker 5: system that was supposed to protect Maduro was Chinese designed
- 31:17Speaker 5: and in some cases Chinese operated. And you had US
- 31:20Speaker 5: Special Forces literally fly into the country, snatch the leader
- 31:24Speaker 5: of that country and leave. And Chinese intelligence didn't capture
- 31:28Speaker 5: any of it. In the case of Iran, you have
- 31:30Speaker 5: air defense systems, you have other infrastructure programs on the
- 31:34Speaker 5: military side. that they were responsible for not performing well.
- 31:38Speaker 5: The added challenge that China has right now, Vince, is
- 31:41Speaker 5: that President Xi has been purging senior military officials that
- 31:45Speaker 5: he sees as a threat to his rule. So they're
- 31:49Speaker 5: not in great shape militarily right now.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Okay, can I tap into your other knowledge about the
- 31:54Speaker 1: cartels for a moment, which is, you know, I'm reminded
- 31:56Speaker 1: of something I learned from you. that the cartels were using,
- 32:00Speaker 1: have been using Chinese encrypted messaging apps in order to
- 32:03Speaker 1: conduct their business. The Chinese, of course, were selling all
- 32:06Speaker 1: sorts of, not selling, basically giving the drug materials at
- 32:10Speaker 1: cost to the cartels in order to poison Americans. Are
- 32:14Speaker 1: you seeing similar patterns in places like Iran and Venezuela?
- 32:17Speaker 1: Do the Chinese provide, say, encrypted communications technology to those
- 32:21Speaker 1: governments as well?
- 32:23Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely.
- 32:24Speaker 5: And they provide also through Chinese organized crime syndicates. They're
- 32:29Speaker 5: kind of the go-betweens between the CCP and the drug
- 32:32Speaker 5: cartels in Latin America. They're also the go-betweens in some
- 32:36Speaker 5: cases to these terrorist organizations because groups like Hezbollah, for example,
- 32:41Speaker 5: are also involved in narcotics trafficking.
- 32:43Speaker 2: And what do they do?
- 32:44Speaker 5: They get assistance from Chinese organized crime. And on the
- 32:48Speaker 5: technology side, yes, China is providing these communication systems. The
- 32:53Speaker 5: problem that China has militarily, Vince, is it's kind of
- 32:56Speaker 5: like the Soviet Union. They don't encourage a lot of innovation.
- 33:00Speaker 5: They don't encourage mid-level commanders to show initiative on the battlefield.
- 33:05Speaker 5: It's all top-down and centralized. That's what they treat their
- 33:09Speaker 5: clients and their partners like Iran to operate militarily. That
- 33:13Speaker 5: doesn't work great in a world where it's AI and the.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Battlefield is shifting quickly.
- 33:18Speaker 5: So this is a technological military revolution that is showing,
- 33:23Speaker 5: exposing the weaknesses in the Chinese military.
- 33:26Speaker 2: The same thing happened in the 1980s to the Soviet Union.
- 33:30Speaker 1: So what are the risks of an actual armed conflict
- 33:33Speaker 1: with the Chinese over all of this? If the United States,
- 33:37Speaker 1: as we are right now, is blockading Iranian ports and
- 33:40Speaker 1: 20% of their oil comes from Iran, is there any
- 33:44Speaker 1: risk that China decides to escalate and engage us in
- 33:48Speaker 1: any sort of military conflict directly?
- 33:51Speaker 5: No, I don't think there'll be any direct conflict. First
- 33:53Speaker 5: of all, their ability to project power in the Middle
- 33:56Speaker 5: East is is fairly limited. Second of all, I think
- 33:59Speaker 5: they know militarily they can't match our capabilities.
- 34:03Speaker 2: What's probably happening is two things.
- 34:05Speaker 5: They're going to the Iranians and telling them stop this,
- 34:09Speaker 5: strike a deal with the Americans because we want that
- 34:12Speaker 5: oil open. At the same time, of course, the Chinese
- 34:15Speaker 5: are going to be looking for opportunities to make life
- 34:17Speaker 5: miserable for the United States. So it'll be interesting the
- 34:20Speaker 5: posture that Xi assumes when he meets with President Trump
- 34:25Speaker 5: in Beijing weeks from now.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, one of the things we saw in
- 34:30Speaker 1: the reporting about why there was even a face-to-face meeting
- 34:33Speaker 1: in Islamabad to begin with was two pressure points. One
- 34:36Speaker 1: of them was apparently J.D. Vance was very successful in
- 34:39Speaker 1: convincing the Iranians to come to the table. But the
- 34:42Speaker 1: other was that they felt a lot of pressure from
- 34:44Speaker 1: the Chinese, that the Chinese Communist Party, which again, I
- 34:48Speaker 1: always refer to the CCP because they control the country,
- 34:50Speaker 1: pressured Iran to go to the table with the United States. Clearly,
- 34:54Speaker 1: China wants this to go away, and they think getting
- 34:56Speaker 1: Iran to make a deal is the way to do that.
- 34:58Speaker 5: Yeah, 100%, Vince. Look, I mean, China is a military threat.
- 35:02Speaker 5: There's no question about it. But they are confident that
- 35:05Speaker 5: through subversion, by buying people off in other countries, they
- 35:08Speaker 5: can achieve their objectives without actually fighting the United States.
- 35:12Speaker 5: So they actually don't want military confrontation. They want things
- 35:17Speaker 5: to operate below the surface. And when you have armed
- 35:19Speaker 5: conflict like you have in the Middle East, that detracts
- 35:23Speaker 5: from their strategy.
- 35:25Speaker 1: How devastating is it for them to have these power
- 35:28Speaker 1: cores being kicked out around the planet right now? So
- 35:30Speaker 1: as you point out, Venezuela, you know, which sent a
- 35:34Speaker 1: massive amount of its oil again on the black market
- 35:38Speaker 1: under false flags to China. And then you've got Iran,
- 35:41Speaker 1: which was sending 90 percent of its oil to China.
- 35:44Speaker 1: I mean, how devastating is this to the Chinese economy?
- 35:46Speaker 1: What impact does that have?
- 35:48Speaker 2: No, it's massive. I mean, think about it, and Cuba
- 35:51Speaker 2: is tottering.
- 35:52Speaker 5: Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran are the three closest allies that
- 35:57Speaker 5: China has in the developing world. There's not a lot
- 35:59Speaker 5: of other countries, I don't think there would be any
- 36:01Speaker 5: other than maybe North Korea that you would list as
- 36:04Speaker 5: closer in your relationship. And you've effectively seen two of
- 36:08Speaker 5: them neutralized or at least severely damaged, and Cuba is
- 36:11Speaker 5: in the third. So this affects their intelligence capabilities. It
- 36:15Speaker 5: affects their ability to project military and economic power. And
- 36:19Speaker 5: it exposes the brittleness of the Chinese system. It does
- 36:23Speaker 5: not work well to have this command and control economy
- 36:27Speaker 5: that mirrors certain elements of capitalism.
- 36:29Speaker 2: That doesn't work well.
- 36:31Speaker 5: In an age of AI. So it's exposing them in
- 36:33Speaker 5: lots of ways. This is not good for China. It's
- 36:37Speaker 5: been a terrible six months for China.
- 36:39Speaker 1: So I think one of the things I've thought early
- 36:42Speaker 1: as this Iran conflict began in earnest was that people
- 36:45Speaker 1: were underappreciating the extent to which President Trump was actually
- 36:49Speaker 1: battling with the Chinese here. The president speaks pretty kindly
- 36:54Speaker 1: about Xi Jinping. This is his style. He's always talking
- 36:56Speaker 1: about his great relationship with Xi. But the impact here,
- 37:00Speaker 1: it's almost like we're all talking about Iran as merely
- 37:04Speaker 1: a nuclear threat, which of course it is, but the
- 37:06Speaker 1: president trying to stop that from being a problem. But really,
- 37:10Speaker 1: in a lot of ways, this is a proxy fight
- 37:13Speaker 1: for a much bigger concern, which is our biggest adversary, China.
- 37:17Speaker 5: Well, I think you're right, Vince. Look, a lot of
- 37:19Speaker 5: people look at Trump's impulsiveness. You know, he gets on
- 37:23Speaker 5: True Social and says things. The bottom line is when
- 37:26Speaker 5: you look at his actions, there is a grand strategy there,
- 37:29Speaker 5: and a lot of it has to deal with China.
- 37:31Speaker 5: And Trump's approach oftentimes is to praise somebody right before
- 37:36Speaker 5: he lowers the hammer. He said things about the Iranians.
- 37:40Speaker 5: He said, look, they're very smart people. They'll strike a
- 37:42Speaker 5: deal right before the bombing began. So I'm obviously not
- 37:46Speaker 5: suggesting bombing with China. But the point is that clearly
- 37:51Speaker 5: there is a grand strategy here. It started with tariffs.
- 37:54Speaker 5: It started with fentanyl. It started with the Panama Canal.
- 37:58Speaker 5: All these things are part of a whole. And I
- 38:01Speaker 5: think that if people simply look at, what he is
- 38:04Speaker 5: saying on the moment they are missing what's really going
- 38:08Speaker 5: on below the surface of the water.
- 38:10Speaker 1: So President Trump, as you mentioned, is scheduled to go
- 38:12Speaker 1: to Beijing a month from today. It's going to be
- 38:15Speaker 1: May 14th through the 15th. He'll be in Beijing. It's
- 38:18Speaker 1: a state visit. These are the kinds of visits that
- 38:21Speaker 1: have tremendous honors conferred upon the visiting leader, especially the
- 38:24Speaker 1: head of the United States. So China is going to,
- 38:28Speaker 1: you know, give him the movie star treatment when he arrives.
- 38:33Speaker 2: How.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I'm curious about how embarrassing that might be for China.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Like they're in a situation right now where the president
- 38:41Speaker 1: has basically really put a damper on their economy by
- 38:46Speaker 1: his actions and on their energy. And yet here they
- 38:49Speaker 1: are honoring him. Is this going to be an embarrassment
- 38:53Speaker 1: for Xi to have to do it this way?
- 38:56Speaker 2: I think probably not. I mean, look, Trump is gracious enough.
- 39:00Speaker 5: So, you know, when he's met with Xi during the
- 39:02Speaker 5: first term, for example, they had their disagreements on a
- 39:05Speaker 5: variety of issues. Trump is always gracious, personal, face-to-face. He
- 39:09Speaker 5: might crack a few jokes. but generally he's not going
- 39:13Speaker 5: to do anything to embarrass them or to upstage them.
- 39:16Speaker 5: And I think the Chinese need him. They need him
- 39:19Speaker 5: because when you look at the export dependent economy that
- 39:22Speaker 5: they have, they need to have exports, open markets in
- 39:26Speaker 5: the United States and with tariffs on the issues related
- 39:29Speaker 5: to fentanyl, a Belt and Road, some of the other
- 39:32Speaker 5: issues that we talked about earlier, they need to strike
- 39:35Speaker 5: some kind of bargain with Trump. And I'm not opposed
- 39:39Speaker 5: to a bargain if it's the right bargain. And I
- 39:42Speaker 5: think that this president has pretty good instincts on China.
- 39:45Speaker 5: So I think that China will be looking for some
- 39:48Speaker 5: kind of a grand bargain with Trump. It'll be interesting
- 39:51Speaker 5: what they're willing to give up to get that.
- 39:53Speaker 1: But the path out of this chaos is to be
- 39:57Speaker 1: way less dependent on China. I mean, because right now,
- 39:59Speaker 1: as you well know, probably better than almost anybody, we're
- 40:02Speaker 1: very dependent on them for, say, generic drugs. Like all
- 40:05Speaker 1: of our pharmaceuticals come from China and India, too much
- 40:07Speaker 1: from China. We're very dependent on that region for chips. Obviously,
- 40:12Speaker 1: we're dependent on Taiwan for computer chips. We need to
- 40:16Speaker 1: get as much of that here onshore in America as
- 40:18Speaker 1: possible so that we don't have to worry about conflicts
- 40:21Speaker 1: with China or Taiwan. I'm just being realistic about this.
- 40:25Speaker 1: And of course, we need to stop them from killing
- 40:27Speaker 1: our people. I mean, you've written more about this than anybody.
- 40:30Speaker 1: All this fentanyl that's pouring in, they keep paying lip
- 40:32Speaker 1: service to the idea that they're helping us with it,
- 40:34Speaker 1: when in fact, they've been busy killing Americans. We have
- 40:37Speaker 1: to really disentangle with them.
- 40:39Speaker 5: Yeah, look, any quote unquote grand bargain with China actually
- 40:43Speaker 5: has to mean real results.
- 40:45Speaker 2: And the evidence here is terrible.
- 40:46Speaker 5: On the issue of fentanyl, in 2017, Xi said, we'll
- 40:50Speaker 5: stop providing precursor chemicals. We'll stop providing the other assistance
- 40:54Speaker 5: to the cartels.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Never did that.
- 40:56Speaker 5: Fentanyl deaths went up and they of course went up
- 40:58Speaker 5: even higher during the Biden administration. So the proof is
- 41:01Speaker 5: in the pudding in terms of China doing this.
- 41:05Speaker 2: And you're exactly right.
- 41:06Speaker 5: I mean, probably the biggest threat to China in terms
- 41:10Speaker 5: of limiting their leverage on us is Trump's efforts to
- 41:13Speaker 5: reshore manufacturing back into the United States.
- 41:17Speaker 2: He's talked about pharmaceuticals. He's talked about rare earths.
- 41:20Speaker 5: These are the limited pressure points that China has on
- 41:24Speaker 5: our economy. So when I talk about a grand strategy
- 41:27Speaker 5: for what Trump is doing relating to China, it's evident
- 41:31Speaker 5: in pretty much everything from trade policy to military policy
- 41:34Speaker 5: to our policy in the Middle East and Latin America.
- 41:38Speaker 5: And Trump is always willing to strike a deal. China, though,
- 41:42Speaker 5: has to actually be willing to follow through. And the
- 41:44Speaker 5: evidence is pretty terrible for them to actually do that.
- 41:47Speaker 1: Now, is there a way that we can get China
- 41:49Speaker 1: to buy more American energy? Do you see this as
- 41:52Speaker 1: being a part of the deal? Like, in other words,
- 41:54Speaker 1: the president meets with Xi Jinping and says, start buying American.
- 41:58Speaker 1: This will make your life a lot better.
- 42:00Speaker 5: Well, he has certainly proposed that and offered that to
- 42:03Speaker 5: the Chinese. China, though, has been very aggressive in threatening
- 42:08Speaker 5: to use or using our dependence on them. So I
- 42:11Speaker 5: think they would want to avoid dependence on us. And
- 42:15Speaker 5: let's remember, they've gotten a free ride essentially from Venezuela
- 42:19Speaker 5: and from Iran. Both of those countries, oil was sanctioned,
- 42:23Speaker 5: could not be sold on international open markets. So the
- 42:26Speaker 5: Chinese were was getting their oil for about 20% to
- 42:30Speaker 5: 25% discount off of international prices. That's no longer going
- 42:34Speaker 5: to apply. So this is going to be a jolt
- 42:36Speaker 5: to the Chinese economy. I don't think they are going
- 42:38Speaker 5: to want to be dependent upon us for anything. So
- 42:41Speaker 5: I think it's doubtful that they would want to strike
- 42:44Speaker 5: some kind of energy deal with the Trump administration.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Well, this leaves Russia, doesn't it? In terms of like
- 42:49Speaker 1: where they can get their energy from, because they don't
- 42:51Speaker 1: really have domestic oil. They don't have, they don't, that's
- 42:54Speaker 1: not available to them. So they get it all from
- 42:56Speaker 1: outside of the country. This leaves Russia, which means that
- 42:59Speaker 1: they're now paying a higher price, which is also making
- 43:02Speaker 1: it so that Russia's war machine can punish Ukraine even more.
- 43:06Speaker 1: I mean, it's like, it's just a lot more chaos,
- 43:08Speaker 1: isn't it?
- 43:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it is.
- 43:09Speaker 5: You know, Russia is very interesting in this as well.
- 43:13Speaker 5: I mean, obviously, Vladimir Putin, in my mind, is a
- 43:15Speaker 5: threat and he should be punished for what he's doing
- 43:18Speaker 5: in Ukraine.
- 43:19Speaker 2: But I do think.
- 43:20Speaker 5: Part of Trump's hopes in striking a bargain with Putin, which,
- 43:24Speaker 5: of course, hasn't happened thus far. Part of that is
- 43:27Speaker 5: to pull Russia away from China. Russia and China are
- 43:32Speaker 5: pretty cooperative right now. That has not been the historical
- 43:36Speaker 5: relationship between these countries. They generally don't like each other.
- 43:39Speaker 5: They have territorial disputes. They have other disputes that go
- 43:44Speaker 5: back a long time in terms of the rivalry between
- 43:47Speaker 5: these two powers. And there is a school of thought
- 43:50Speaker 5: that by isolating Russia, we essentially push them into the
- 43:54Speaker 5: hands of China. That benefits China because, of course, China
- 43:58Speaker 5: has a massive industry, has a lot of people, but
- 44:01Speaker 5: they lack natural resources.
- 44:03Speaker 2: What does Russia have? They have a lot of natural resources.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Russia's role in this is interesting.
- 44:09Speaker 5: They have lost a client in Iran as well, or
- 44:12Speaker 5: at least had that client severely bloodied. But I think
- 44:15Speaker 5: there may potentially be opportunities there to drive a further
- 44:19Speaker 5: wedge between Russia and China, which would further isolate Beijing.
- 44:24Speaker 1: And finally, I'm just thinking about like all the countries,
- 44:27Speaker 1: these adversarial countries we've had to deal with, many of
- 44:29Speaker 1: which I see headlines from time to time. They're doing
- 44:31Speaker 1: military trainings together, like things like Russia or China, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela.
- 44:36Speaker 1: And as I mentioned these countries, I'm realizing one by one,
- 44:39Speaker 1: President Trump has been trying to strike deals with each
- 44:42Speaker 1: of them. So whether it's Venezuela, which he took out
- 44:44Speaker 1: the illegitimate President Maduro, he's obviously got this relationship that
- 44:48Speaker 1: the media in America hate with Kim Jong-un. He's been
- 44:51Speaker 1: trying to strike a deal with China, trying to strike
- 44:53Speaker 1: a deal with Putin, now working face to face with
- 44:55Speaker 1: the Iranians. He's clearly trying to break up this adversarial
- 45:01Speaker 1: group and create good relationships that benefit the United States.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, there's no question about it, Vince.
- 45:07Speaker 5: And just think in terms of military cooperation, a lot
- 45:10Speaker 5: of times that is based on arms sales. You know,
- 45:13Speaker 5: you sell weapons systems that need to be serviced. Back
- 45:16Speaker 5: in 1982, Israel and Syria had an air war over Lebanon.
- 45:21Speaker 5: The Israelis shot down 82 Russian MiGs that were flown
- 45:26Speaker 5: by Syrian pilots. The Israelis lost zero aircraft. What happened
- 45:32Speaker 5: after that? Everybody that was buying MiGs said, we don't
- 45:34Speaker 5: want MiGs, we want what the Israelis are flying, which
- 45:37Speaker 5: of course was American planes. I imagine you're going to
- 45:40Speaker 5: see a similar assessment by militaries in the developing world,
- 45:44Speaker 5: looking what has happened to Iranian technology and Iranian Chinese systems,
- 45:50Speaker 5: how poorly they have performed. And they're going to be
- 45:53Speaker 5: asking themselves, do we really want to be buying these
- 45:55Speaker 5: Chinese products that did not do well in Venezuela, are
- 45:59Speaker 5: not doing well in Iran. Why don't we try to
- 46:01Speaker 5: strike a deal with the Americans to make sure we
- 46:03Speaker 5: have the best military equipment? And by doing so, Vince,
- 46:07Speaker 5: that creates longer term military ties with some of these countries.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Yeah, our stuff is so good. This is why when
- 46:13Speaker 1: it's rendered inoperable, we blow it up on the battlefield
- 46:15Speaker 1: so they can't even get the tech. No, it's a
- 46:18Speaker 1: big deal. Peter Schweitzer, you're the best. Thank you so
- 46:20Speaker 1: much for joining me today. I really appreciate your wisdom
- 46:22Speaker 1: on all topics. Good to talk to you, sir.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Great show, Vince. Always good to be with you.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Thank you very much. The great Peter Schweitzer with a
- 46:29Speaker 1: crash course in global politics. What the hell is going
- 46:32Speaker 1: on everywhere? And especially with China. I've been fascinated by
- 46:36Speaker 1: this China component. What the heck is happening with China?
- 46:39Speaker 1: China's reeling today. And they've called the blockade of the
- 46:44Speaker 1: Strait of Hormuz by the Trump administration a, quote, dangerous
- 46:47Speaker 1: and irresponsible act. But meanwhile, they're pressuring the Iranians to
- 46:51Speaker 1: actually get to the table quickly with the United States
- 46:54Speaker 1: of America and to strike a deal, which is wonderful,
- 46:59Speaker 1: wonderful stuff. Let's see if we can't get one. I'd
- 47:02Speaker 1: like to actually get one and settle up there. Back
- 47:05Speaker 1: home in the United States, we just got some brand
- 47:08Speaker 1: new information from the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard,
- 47:12Speaker 1: yesterday about the first Trump impeachment in 2019. Remember that? Oh,
- 47:21Speaker 1: so many years ago. The first Trump impeachment in 2019.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Released by Tulsi Gabbard. This is wild stuff. And not that,
- 47:31Speaker 1: not shocking, but definitely appalling. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi
- 47:34Speaker 1: Gabbard exposes conspiracy used by Congress to impeach President Trump.
- 47:40Speaker 1: And in this, what she exposes was what she refers
- 47:44Speaker 1: to as a coordinated effort by elements within the intelligence
- 47:48Speaker 1: community at the time, including a former inspector general, to
- 47:54Speaker 1: manufacture a conspiracy that was used as the basis to
- 47:58Speaker 1: impeach President Trump in 2019. So as we keep talking about,
- 48:04Speaker 1: you know, grand conspiracies and abuses of power, and who
- 48:08Speaker 1: can we charge here, and can we bring them to justice?
- 48:11Speaker 1: Here's Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, adding a
- 48:14Speaker 1: massive piece of information to the file. She says that
- 48:18Speaker 1: During a preliminary investigation into President Trump's July 2019 phone
- 48:23Speaker 1: call with Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian president, of course, the former
- 48:29Speaker 1: intelligence community inspector general Michael Atkinson didn't follow any of
- 48:33Speaker 1: the standard protocols and relied upon politicized, manufactured narratives and
- 48:40Speaker 1: only conducted interviews with four people, none of whom were
- 48:44Speaker 1: even firsthand witnesses to the phone call. who had no
- 48:49Speaker 1: firsthand knowledge of the phone call. Four people. The so-called whistleblower,
- 48:55Speaker 1: the whistleblower's friend, who was actually a co-author of the
- 48:59Speaker 1: January 2017 Russia hoax intelligence community assessment, ordered by Obama
- 49:06Speaker 1: to try and freeze up the Trump administration. He was
- 49:11Speaker 1: a close colleague of disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok
- 49:15Speaker 1: as well. And then two character references who both had
- 49:18Speaker 1: zero firsthand knowledge of the July 2019 phone call. So
- 49:22Speaker 1: nobody knew what the hell they were talking about. They
- 49:24Speaker 1: just made this up. They just made this up. Now,
- 49:29Speaker 1: I saw some people online already say that, you know,
- 49:31Speaker 1: they had kind of operated under the assumption that this
- 49:34Speaker 1: was just you know, a phone call, which was taken
- 49:38Speaker 1: the wrong way, and then it was blown up out
- 49:40Speaker 1: of proportion. It wasn't that. This was a hit job.
- 49:43Speaker 1: This was a manufactured hit job, according to DNI Tulsi
- 49:46Speaker 1: Gabbard's revelations. Despite a lack of any firsthand evidence, Atkinson,
- 49:53Speaker 1: the IG, proceeded to take actions to weaponize the whistleblower
- 49:56Speaker 1: process and exceeded statutory jurisdiction by ignoring Department of Justice
- 50:01Speaker 1: guidance and relied on only secondhand testimony. And then he
- 50:06Speaker 1: released it to Congress and then it was referred to
- 50:09Speaker 1: the FBI and it was leaked to the propaganda media.
- 50:13Speaker 1: Then House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff,
- 50:16Speaker 1: that scumbag, and then Speaker Nancy Pelosi used the false
- 50:20Speaker 1: secondhand narrative to create media intrigue and ultimately sparked the
- 50:24Speaker 1: basis to impeach President Trump in December of 2019. So
- 50:30Speaker 1: we learn quite a bit here. They had no firsthand
- 50:32Speaker 1: evidence whatsoever. And this was all this was all rigged operation.
- 50:38Speaker 1: These are the there were hoax authors, people who are
- 50:41Speaker 1: part of the intelligence community assessment, total hoax that relied
- 50:45Speaker 1: on the Steele dossier to lie about President Trump that
- 50:47Speaker 1: were involved in this. And then as far as Adam
- 50:51Speaker 1: Schiff goes, let me go to the Schiff component to this.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Adam Schiff was involved and you and like I said,
- 51:00Speaker 1: and use the false secondhand narrative to try and hype
- 51:03Speaker 1: this impeachment. Now Schiff, by now it's well established, is
- 51:07Speaker 1: one of the most truly sinister liars in all of Congress.
- 51:12Speaker 1: And Schiff, even at the time, was lying about his
- 51:17Speaker 1: role in manufacturing all of this. Do you remember this
- 51:21Speaker 1: in 2019? Let me bring you back to this flashback.
- 51:24Speaker 1: Adam Schiff on television on a network now known as Ms.
- 51:27Speaker 7: Now.
- 51:28Speaker 1: Being asked about whether or not he wants to speak
- 51:31Speaker 1: to the whistleblower. Has he talked to the whistleblower? Will
- 51:34Speaker 1: he talk to the whistleblower? And here's Adam Schiff lying
- 51:37Speaker 1: about this. He had already talked, his staff had already
- 51:39Speaker 1: talked to the whistleblower. So the answer is yes, we've
- 51:42Speaker 1: been coordinating with this guy. It's ridiculous to call this
- 51:45Speaker 1: person a whistleblower. This con artist, this hoaxer, we've already
- 51:49Speaker 1: been talking to him. Here's Adam Schiff lying about that
- 51:54Speaker 1: back in 2019.
- 51:54Speaker 4: Watch.
- 51:56Speaker 6: Questions here on this whistleblower front. First off, have you
- 52:00Speaker 6: heard from the whistleblower? Do you want to hear from
- 52:04Speaker 6: the whistleblower? What protections could you provide to the whistleblower?
- 52:07Speaker 6: And then you also said that the DNI is refusing
- 52:10Speaker 6: to turn over the stuff, citing.
- 52:12Speaker 2: a.
- 52:12Speaker 6: Request from a higher authority, the insinuation left, at least
- 52:16Speaker 6: for me and others, was that the president himself had intervened.
- 52:19Speaker 6: Is that the insinuation you sought to provide? And if so,
- 52:22Speaker 6: what basis do you have for making that insinuation?
- 52:25Speaker 7: We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower. We would
- 52:28Speaker 7: like to, but I'm sure the whistleblower has concerns that
- 52:30Speaker 7: he has not been advised, as the law requires, by
- 52:33Speaker 7: the inspector general or the director of national intelligence just
- 52:38Speaker 7: as to how he is to communicate with Congress.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Uh-huh. So he just lies. He just completely lies
- 52:45Speaker 1: about that. Of course, he was talking with the whistleblower.
- 52:49Speaker 1: It was all an inside job. It was all a
- 52:51Speaker 1: hatchet operation. The whistleblower, this person, was connected with President Biden.
- 52:59Speaker 1: The whistleblower, in the DNI documents, let me pull this
- 53:03Speaker 1: back up for you. They say the whistleblower revealed the
- 53:07Speaker 1: following things. And none of this was disclosed to Congress
- 53:10Speaker 1: at the time. Whistleblower interviews revealed that the political biases
- 53:13Speaker 1: of the whistleblower, and his or her own words included,
- 53:15Speaker 1: the whistleblower states he or she is a registered Democrat.
- 53:18Speaker 1: The whistleblower claims to have worked closely with Vice President Biden,
- 53:22Speaker 1: traveled with Biden to Ukraine, and was a part of
- 53:24Speaker 1: conversations where Lutsenko's corruption was discussed. That was the prosecutor
- 53:29Speaker 1: in Ukraine. The whistleblower also claims to have become the
- 53:32Speaker 1: target of right-wing bloggers and conspiracy theorists, meaning some people...
- 53:38Speaker 1: meaning conservatives had successfully identified who the whistleblower is. Yet
- 53:43Speaker 1: I see IG Atkinson ignored this and insisted during his
- 53:46Speaker 1: testimony to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, quote,
- 53:49Speaker 1: I also want to make it clear I never considered
- 53:52Speaker 1: the whistleblower to be politically biased.
- 53:54Speaker 2: What?
- 53:57Speaker 1: And then despite public reports that the whistleblower worked with
- 53:59Speaker 1: Biden on Ukraine matters, inquiries into the whistleblower's bias and
- 54:03Speaker 1: motive were blocked during the 2020 impeachment trial. This was
- 54:12Speaker 1: a rigged operation from the very beginning. Now, you might
- 54:16Speaker 1: be saying to yourself, well, can't we prosecute Adam Schiff?
- 54:20Speaker 1: I mean, Adam Schiff lies about this. They're abusing their power.
- 54:24Speaker 1: It's all an inside job. He's in on it. Can
- 54:27Speaker 1: we prosecute that guy? Well, Joe Biden pardoned him. California's
- 54:37Speaker 1: Adam Schiff gets a last minute pardon from President Joe Biden.
- 54:41Speaker 1: Remember that? Why did Biden pardon Adam Schiff? He gave
- 54:45Speaker 1: him a blanket pardon. He gave him a blanket pardon.
- 54:50Speaker 1: President Joe Biden issued preemptive pardons to Senator Adam Schiff
- 54:53Speaker 1: and other members of Congress and their staff who had
- 54:56Speaker 1: investigated the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots. Schiff was an
- 55:00Speaker 1: outspoken House member at the time, part of the committee
- 55:02Speaker 1: that probed the insurrection. Among those also pardoned were former
- 55:06Speaker 1: Representatives Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. Joe Biden was President Autopenn. Yeah,
- 55:12Speaker 1: that's true. The Autopenn did that. Yeah, no, that's actually
- 55:15Speaker 1: a great point. Thank you for raising that, Chad. I
- 55:18Speaker 1: still think this idea that we can just accept the
- 55:20Speaker 1: auto pen as being the president of the United States
- 55:24Speaker 1: is absurd. It's totally absurd. It's even more absurd than
- 55:29Speaker 1: accepting the fact that Joe Biden had his brain while
- 55:33Speaker 1: he was nominally the president of the United States. It's
- 55:37Speaker 1: crazy to me. Yeah, do the auto pen pardons really count?
- 55:41Speaker 1: If the pen signs the pardons, come on now. Let's
- 55:44Speaker 1: get some fights. Let's get rid of these stupid parts.
- 55:47Speaker 1: Let's prosecute these guys. At any rate, thank you to
- 55:50Speaker 1: the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, for maximum transparency,
- 55:55Speaker 1: releasing all of this. Why did it take so long?
- 55:57Speaker 1: Why did it take so long for us to finally
- 55:58Speaker 1: get this? Tulsi Gabbard gets this information out to us.
- 56:01Speaker 1: And if there's any justice in the world, it'll form
- 56:04Speaker 1: the basis of more evidence in the grand conspiracy case
- 56:07Speaker 1: that's happening down in South Florida right now. The president
- 56:10Speaker 1: of the United States did share a message about this
- 56:12Speaker 1: yesterday on Truth Social. He just took a screen grab
- 56:14Speaker 1: of Lee Zeldin's post. Lee Zeldin, who is over at
- 56:18Speaker 1: EPA these days, doing good work there. Lee Zeldin reacted.
- 56:21Speaker 1: He said, just like the Russia, Russia, Russia collusion hoax,
- 56:25Speaker 1: the clown show sham impeachment of President Trump in 2019
- 56:29Speaker 1: was a bullshit show trial of epic proportion to try
- 56:33Speaker 1: and take out the duly elected president of the United States.
- 56:37Speaker 1: It sure was. which is why we so badly want
- 56:42Speaker 1: real justice. That's all we're asking for. All right. Coming
