A man was fatally shot in the Fitchburg neighborhood of Oakland, sparking an ongoing homicide investigation. Police responded to a report around 3:30 PM on Saturday near the 800 block of 75th Avenue and found the victim with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries.
