- 0:04Speaker 1: Trips here. What's up Rush Striplin and guys Eric Kratz,
- 0:09Speaker 1: Scottie Brown here. I always like to do something fun
- 0:12Speaker 1: before we start. Strip I'm sure you've been part of
- 0:14Speaker 1: plenty of blowouts where you're either on the winning side
- 0:17Speaker 1: or the losing side. We're not gonna spend ten minutes
- 0:19Speaker 1: talking about what the Cubs did yesterday, but twenty three
- 0:23Speaker 1: three after that one, I'm more interested in the losing side.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Right if you're the Padres after that, and you just
- 0:31Speaker 1: gave Dansby Swanson like the amount of stats you would
- 0:35Speaker 1: appreciate in a month in one game, what are you
- 0:38Speaker 1: guys saying in the clubhouse?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Flush it? Man?
- 0:42Speaker 3: It's like in the same vein as a no hitter.
- 0:44Speaker 3: It's like law of averages. Tomorrow's gonna be back to
- 0:47Speaker 3: normal or even more in our favor. You just you
- 0:49Speaker 3: just literally forget. It's one of one sixty two who
- 0:52Speaker 3: cares onto the next?
- 0:54Speaker 4: Put the music on, Yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 1: That's it. Just put the music on. You don't say anything. Kratz,
- 1:04Speaker 1: do you digs?
- 1:05Speaker 4: What are you gonna say? What are you gonna say?
- 1:06Speaker 5: Like, let's get Dansby out tomorrow, Like, let's just throw one, right,
- 1:10Speaker 5: down the middle, like there's nothing else you can say.
- 1:14Speaker 5: You put the music on, pat each other on the back,
- 1:17Speaker 5: have a meal, don't look at your stats. If you're
- 1:20Speaker 5: a pitcher for like three weeks and then you go
- 1:23Speaker 5: out and you play the next game.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, Scott, it would probably be shocking how little
- 1:28Speaker 3: of a deal it is to fans and to anyone.
- 1:32Speaker 3: It would be like as you're walking through the tunnel,
- 1:34Speaker 3: someone would scream, fitt, who cares?
- 1:36Speaker 2: Onto the next and then it's business as usual.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Everyone goes and changes and showers and gets their dinner
- 1:42Speaker 3: like any other night, and it's it's just onto the
- 1:44Speaker 3: next man. It's not like some big thing that you
- 1:46Speaker 3: have to deliberate and dwell on.
- 1:48Speaker 2: It just you move right along.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Even in the playoffs, I think people would be surprised,
- 1:54Speaker 1: right like, you lost. If you lose by ten, you
- 1:58Speaker 1: lost by ten. It doesn't really matter. How much does
- 2:01Speaker 1: it affect the series? Usually not much. I mean you
- 2:06Speaker 1: look at the bullpen usage and all that. But people
- 2:08Speaker 1: being like, oh, such a devastating loss to get just
- 2:12Speaker 1: get bludgeoned. And usually I mean you guys can probably
- 2:15Speaker 1: both speak to this. It's actually good, right you lose
- 2:18Speaker 1: that seven six nail bier. You guys felt like you
- 2:21Speaker 1: used everything you had in terms of the pen and
- 2:23Speaker 1: everything else versus all right, you got blown away in
- 2:26Speaker 1: this one.
- 2:27Speaker 5: If you're the catcher, you're you're in there ice in
- 2:29Speaker 5: your fingers. Rarely was I game where I was catching
- 2:32Speaker 5: and then I had to go into pitch because we
- 2:34Speaker 5: got blown out. It was usually I wasn't playing and
- 2:36Speaker 5: I went into pitch, But you always had to tell
- 2:39Speaker 5: the catcher like bad fingers. Today, I guess they had
- 2:42Speaker 5: to change the batteries in the pitch calm now since yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 5: no more fingers.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Yeah, that joke is gonna die with time Cratzy, that
- 2:49Speaker 3: joke's not going to live on forever.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Man, gotta be something, gotta be something like bad I
- 2:54Speaker 5: don't know, like some kind of video game reference with like, well,
- 2:58Speaker 5: when I used to play video games, it was so
- 3:00Speaker 5: what I pushed in Why didn't throw out the third
- 3:02Speaker 5: instead of the first?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Like? What is glitch?
- 3:05Speaker 4: Man?
- 3:06Speaker 2: The thing was glitching? Yeah, it's glitch glitching.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Yes, yes, my pitch com was glitching. Bro.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Well, it's at least good news for Cubs fans that
- 3:17Speaker 1: have been through the emotional rollercoaster and Dancy Swanson from
- 3:20Speaker 1: a nine hitter, the damage that he's done for a
- 3:22Speaker 1: few weeks. Crazy, All right, let's charge.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Let's charge about Kratz.
- 3:29Speaker 1: You played with a young Aaron Judge. What do you
- 3:31Speaker 1: have on a guy who is clearly one of the
- 3:34Speaker 1: most valuable in the sport, right, best hitter in the
- 3:37Speaker 1: sport for a while? Now he's out and it doesn't
- 3:41Speaker 1: sound like he'll be back for a minute. Right, They're
- 3:43Speaker 1: weeks away from reimaging, so the best he can do
- 3:46Speaker 1: is watch and try and impact the team behind the scenes.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And he actually spoke out. He doesn't do this much,
- 3:51Speaker 1: but spoke out before Wednesday afternoon's game, which ended up
- 3:54Speaker 1: being another loss to the Tigers, and it ended up
- 3:56Speaker 1: being seven losses in a row now for the Yankees.
- 3:59Speaker 1: He said, well, it's not great. Little lack of focus.
- 4:01Speaker 1: We got to dial it in that that's the key part.
- 4:04Speaker 1: There's a lot of you know, we gotta win and
- 4:06Speaker 1: blah blah blah. But going on later, he said that
- 4:10Speaker 1: that should motivate you every single day step on the field,
- 4:12Speaker 1: no matter what happens. We've got an important sign when
- 4:16Speaker 1: you walk out on the field. It's the last time
- 4:17Speaker 1: you see before you're out there. It says, do your job.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Guys are here to do their job. And he mentioned
- 4:22Speaker 1: he's talked with unidentified players about the matter and said
- 4:25Speaker 1: the club will be speaking quote with a bigger group
- 4:28Speaker 1: here soon. And then he was asked what he meant
- 4:30Speaker 1: by not liking the lack of focus from teammates. He
- 4:32Speaker 1: didn't want to get into specifics.
- 4:36Speaker 5: To clarify what you say. You said that should motivate
- 4:39Speaker 5: you every single day when you step on the field.
- 4:41Speaker 5: What he was talking about was winning a World Series,
- 4:44Speaker 5: and that is one Aaron judges focus. Some people will
- 4:47Speaker 5: be like, well, you know he was holding the Yankees
- 4:50Speaker 5: over the coals for a few extra million dollars. No,
- 4:54Speaker 5: one hundred percent, his focus is to win a World Series.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Whether it's his legacy, whether it you know, to me
- 5:01Speaker 5: knowing him as a person, that is one hundred percent
- 5:05Speaker 5: his goal. And I have never played with and I'm
- 5:09Speaker 5: asked this all the time.
- 5:10Speaker 4: As much as I'm.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Impressed with physically what he can do, his leadership skills
- 5:16Speaker 5: from his rookie year to three years later when I
- 5:19Speaker 5: played with him again, to any interactions I've had with him,
- 5:23Speaker 5: his leadership skills are second to none. He commands a
- 5:27Speaker 5: room like nobody else. So for him to say this
- 5:31Speaker 5: they're gonna listen doesn't mean everyone's gonna turn it around.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Doesn't mean Jazz isn't gonna take you know, Candy out
- 5:37Speaker 5: to the field. It doesn't mean that you know, Volpi's
- 5:40Speaker 5: gonna not watch a ball into the glove, that Devall's
- 5:42Speaker 5: not gonna walk the bases loaded.
- 5:44Speaker 4: That's not what it means.
- 5:45Speaker 5: It just means when this man speaks, people and your
- 5:48Speaker 5: team listen.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I think just to harp on that cratsy like
- 5:53Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I don't know Aaron Judge, you know, but I've been
- 5:56Speaker 3: in the locker room and now a fan of the
- 5:57Speaker 3: game from afar. When a leader that I played with,
- 6:02Speaker 3: such as a Kershaw, justin Turner down the line speaks
- 6:05Speaker 3: up the way that Aaron Judge just did it resonates man,
- 6:09Speaker 3: and he did it the right way.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I thought it was perfect.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I thought that the captain of the New York Yankees
- 6:13Speaker 3: handled that perfectly. He addressed the situation saying this is
- 6:17Speaker 3: gonna get handled behind closed doors by me, because that's
- 6:20Speaker 3: my job, even though I'm not on the field.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Right now.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I can still do that job. And I didn't single
- 6:25Speaker 3: out any of my teammates. I didn't throw anyone under
- 6:27Speaker 3: the bus. But trust me, I'm aware of what's going on,
- 6:29Speaker 3: and I know who you're talking about, and I see
- 6:31Speaker 3: it too, and it's gonna be okay because I'm here
- 6:34Speaker 3: and this is what I do, and I'm Aaron Judge
- 6:36Speaker 3: and soon I'll be back between the lines. And I
- 6:38Speaker 3: thought it was perfect, man, I really I don't think
- 6:40Speaker 3: he could have done it any better.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Let's look at some matchups for a few minutes while
- 6:45Speaker 1: we wait for the TV crowd to return. Seek cooking
- 6:47Speaker 1: us up with a little preview. Kratz always shakes his
- 6:50Speaker 1: head strip as I read some matchups that you should
- 6:53Speaker 1: buy tickets to. So ek, do you have a particular
- 6:56Speaker 1: game on your mind for either Thursday night or the
- 6:58Speaker 1: weekend slate? You can get ahead of things so people
- 7:00Speaker 1: can buy their tickets a little bit sooner than last minute.
- 7:03Speaker 1: What are you looking at?
- 7:04Speaker 5: I'm going off the matchup train and I'm looking ahead
- 7:08Speaker 5: because Junior camon Aro this weekend is going to break
- 7:13Speaker 5: Don Mattingly and Ken Griffy Junior's record of home runs
- 7:16Speaker 5: per game so I'm found Junior Camonaro all around. If
- 7:21Speaker 5: they have a rain out, I'm buying a ticket the
- 7:22Speaker 5: next day. If it's a day game, some hot hot
- 7:26Speaker 5: game in Kansas City, I don't know. I don't know
- 7:28Speaker 5: if maybe I'll get some into shade, but Seki can
- 7:31Speaker 5: let me know where the shade is for a day
- 7:33Speaker 5: game if they're playing a day game.
- 7:35Speaker 4: So I need to see that record.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Wow, And that's not an easy park to continue the
- 7:39Speaker 1: record with. Like if you've got the street going like
- 7:42Speaker 1: he does right now, Homers in six straight games, you're
- 7:45Speaker 1: trying to find a better ballpark than Kansas City.
- 7:47Speaker 5: On the matter, they move the fences in Strip. This
- 7:50Speaker 5: is great for you pitchers. They move the fence, doesn't matter.
- 7:54Speaker 2: The way that he's hitting the ball.
- 7:55Speaker 3: It doesn't make exactly when yesterday got out by forty
- 7:58Speaker 3: five feet.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Yeah, he's easy.
- 8:00Speaker 3: It doesn't matter the park. He could go Dead Center
- 8:02Speaker 3: and Polo Grounds right now.
- 8:03Speaker 5: That is not to get off our seat geeks stuff,
- 8:06Speaker 5: but that talking about Junior Kimmanario. He is got that
- 8:09Speaker 5: type of power that it's not just wall scrapers, it
- 8:12Speaker 5: is moonshots.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Do you think he does it?
- 8:17Speaker 5: Yes, that's why I'm getting tickets to it because I
- 8:20Speaker 5: want to see.
- 8:21Speaker 2: How we're we pictures.
- 8:22Speaker 3: We're too fickle, man, We'll just hit them and pitch
- 8:25Speaker 3: around him and walk them. We're too wimpy. I'll throw
- 8:28Speaker 3: us under the bus. Yeah, I'm just saying it's it's
- 8:31Speaker 3: gonna have to work out perfect with Like he's gonna
- 8:33Speaker 3: have to be up a lot with like two outs,
- 8:35Speaker 3: nobody on to start getting some pitches to hit. That's
- 8:38Speaker 3: what I'm guessing's gonna happen.
- 8:39Speaker 5: But I thought I thought it was gonna happen because
- 8:41Speaker 5: Kansas City's bigger. And what do you do in Kansas
- 8:44Speaker 5: City in Texas? Now you attack? You let him hit it.
- 8:47Speaker 5: And I just think he's on a heater right now
- 8:49Speaker 5: that he does it.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Hey, I hope man, what an awesome story. Freaking go
- 8:54Speaker 2: do it.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Yes, I hope so too. I just think when when
- 8:57Speaker 1: we get to the actual record breaking time. Yeah, no
- 9:00Speaker 1: picture wants to be part of it. And all you
- 9:01Speaker 1: have to do is get buy a game or two.
- 9:03Speaker 1: It's not like a home run record where every night
- 9:06Speaker 1: you could be the guy right like you could end
- 9:08Speaker 1: it in a day. But we'll see. I mean, I
- 9:10Speaker 1: want the glass half full, even though I just shot
- 9:12Speaker 1: it down. If you want to follow Junior camerinhero Territory
- 9:15Speaker 1: ten ten percent off MLB tickets on Sea Geek, you
- 9:18Speaker 1: can also put that in and then hold it in
- 9:21Speaker 1: your account so that you can use it later.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Strip you ever play with anybody like that that can
- 9:26Speaker 5: be on the aisle, speak up and command that much
- 9:29Speaker 5: of a presence.
- 9:30Speaker 3: It's kershaw Man, Yeah, one hundred percent. It's kershaw because
- 9:33Speaker 3: he's kind of in that vein of Aaron Judge and
- 9:35Speaker 3: maybe even like a Mike trout right where there they
- 9:38Speaker 3: handled their business on the field and they're they're not
- 9:42Speaker 3: outspoken a lot, and when they are, it hits home.
- 9:45Speaker 3: And I think, you know, the few times that I
- 9:47Speaker 3: remember Clayton speaking up on maybe losing streaks or you know,
- 9:51Speaker 3: bad play on the field from the Dodgers at the time,
- 9:54Speaker 3: when he did that, it was felt through the twenty
- 9:57Speaker 3: six guys in the locker room and probably on up
- 9:59Speaker 3: to the top sweets as well, you know, because it
- 10:01Speaker 3: just doesn't happen very often, so when you see it,
- 10:04Speaker 3: it hits home.
- 10:04Speaker 2: So I would say Kershall is the one that comes
- 10:06Speaker 2: to mind.
- 10:07Speaker 5: I mean, the Yankees it doesn't take doesn't take a
- 10:11Speaker 5: rocket science when rocket scientist when you're losing to see
- 10:15Speaker 5: that things aren't going well and everybody looks lackluster when
- 10:18Speaker 5: you're losing. To me, I think what Judge is talking
- 10:21Speaker 5: about are the specifics that help a team win games.
- 10:24Speaker 5: I think Judge understands because he's made airs that airs
- 10:28Speaker 5: are not necessarily what makes your team lose games or
- 10:32Speaker 5: look like there's a lack of focus. But it's the
- 10:35Speaker 5: it's the fact that how you make the airs last
- 10:39Speaker 5: night specific through a ball home. Did we have a
- 10:42Speaker 5: chance at getting me out of the plate. Maybe, But
- 10:46Speaker 5: again it's Cabaliro playing out of position, trying to make
- 10:49Speaker 5: a play, and I thought he got the ball out
- 10:51Speaker 5: of his glove really well. Ali Sanchez came into the game.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Ali Sanchez is a backup catcher, So those those two
- 10:59Speaker 5: guys not faulting for this play. The throw was a
- 11:02Speaker 5: little high, Vulpi didn't watch the ball into the glove.
- 11:06Speaker 5: I think when you have Aaron Judge and it's not
- 11:09Speaker 5: just that specific play, I think it's a culmination of
- 11:12Speaker 5: other plays. And Rosario made an air that was that
- 11:17Speaker 5: was a you know, ball between his legs on a
- 11:19Speaker 5: rocket shot that cost Cam Schlitzler in Boston a game.
- 11:25Speaker 5: To me, when you're looking at it as Aaron Judge,
- 11:27Speaker 5: you're looking at what is the effort preplay, what is
- 11:31Speaker 5: the thought process pre play to everything that's going on.
- 11:35Speaker 5: I don't think he's sitting there going, oh, wow, we
- 11:37Speaker 5: should have ran out the ball better. We should have
- 11:40Speaker 5: been you know, we should have thrown the ball harder.
- 11:42Speaker 5: That's not what he's talking about. He is talking about
- 11:45Speaker 5: how do we get to the park and have a
- 11:48Speaker 5: singular focus like I do Aaron Judge every single day
- 11:53Speaker 5: to win the win the World Series at the end
- 11:55Speaker 5: of the season.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Yeah, you're onto something there, Kratzy, Like, there's difference in
- 12:00Speaker 3: good airrors and bad errors that you know, you can
- 12:03Speaker 3: you can make an error out of hustle, and then
- 12:05Speaker 3: there's also a difference in how you react to it
- 12:07Speaker 3: at the end, Right, I made a bad play? Am
- 12:09Speaker 3: I telling them, you know, throwing the ball back to
- 12:11Speaker 3: the pitcher, Hey, get me another ground ball? Right here,
- 12:12Speaker 3: I'm gonna turn to or am I going back and
- 12:14Speaker 3: pouting and you know in my fields and or even
- 12:19Speaker 3: maybe showing someone up in a way, you know, and
- 12:21Speaker 3: I'm not pointing anyone out from the Yankees. I haven't
- 12:23Speaker 3: even seen a lot of these plays. You can just
- 12:25Speaker 3: tell from from the losing streak and now from Aaron
- 12:28Speaker 3: Judge having to address it. There's some sloppiness going on
- 12:30Speaker 3: in the field between the lines for the New York Yankees,
- 12:32Speaker 3: and Aaron Judge felt the need to address it so
- 12:35Speaker 3: much so that he's not liking what he sees after
- 12:38Speaker 3: these plays.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Right, it is.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Okay to make bad plays, man, one hundred and six
- 12:41Speaker 3: to two games. You're gonna make airs, You're gonna you're
- 12:43Speaker 3: gonna make mistakes. But how do you come back from those?
- 12:47Speaker 3: And obviously Judge is not liking what he sees in
- 12:49Speaker 3: that regard.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Well, strip you were on some of those Dodger teams
- 12:54Speaker 1: that had a lot of hockey shift action going on.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Remember there'd be a lot of platooning. Some of the
- 12:59Speaker 1: guys got pissed about it. They would say little hints
- 13:03Speaker 1: to media, but wouldn't go all out blast. So I'm
- 13:06Speaker 1: just curious. This isn't an extreme case with the Yankees,
- 13:09Speaker 1: but we've gone over Caballiro, one of the best defensive
- 13:13Speaker 1: shortstops this year. Then they start bouncing him around right.
- 13:16Speaker 1: And I know also yesterday's one game is not a
- 13:18Speaker 1: good example. Apparently guys are battling food poisoning. Like you
- 13:21Speaker 1: don't know everything going on behind the scenes, but can
- 13:23Speaker 1: you speak to how things changed for the Dodger organization
- 13:27Speaker 1: when they started finding guys that they could plug in
- 13:29Speaker 1: every single day? Do you need that for every spot? No,
- 13:32Speaker 1: not necessarily, But I just felt like there was this
- 13:34Speaker 1: point where you were among some teams that were really good,
- 13:37Speaker 1: or among some teammates that were really good that were
- 13:40Speaker 1: then sitting, and there was frustration boiling about that in
- 13:43Speaker 1: terms of development and getting in a flow. So how
- 13:47Speaker 1: much did things change when they were able to figure
- 13:49Speaker 1: out more consistency there.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Well, I would say things changed for those guys personally, right,
- 13:56Speaker 3: But the Dodgers teams that I was on, even when
- 13:58Speaker 3: guys are getting platoons, we're still off successful. You know,
- 14:01Speaker 3: early on there were guys like Cody Bellinger and Jock
- 14:03Speaker 3: Peterson and some really good names getting platooned, you know,
- 14:07Speaker 3: not facing left handed hitters, and Bellinger would go on
- 14:11Speaker 3: to win an MVP, I would say when he stopped
- 14:13Speaker 3: getting platooned, So you know, some things really really switched
- 14:16Speaker 3: for those guys internally and especially mentally, where it's like
- 14:19Speaker 3: a Key k Hernandez for instance, would not get to
- 14:21Speaker 3: play against Righty's. He would go hit three home runs
- 14:23Speaker 3: against Madison Bumgardner and then not play the next day
- 14:26Speaker 3: against Logan Web And You're just like the guys hot,
- 14:29Speaker 3: leave them in there, you know. So that's where you
- 14:32Speaker 3: would start to say, like, when are the coaches or
- 14:34Speaker 3: the front office going to find some feel right, You're
- 14:37Speaker 3: going to say, when are they going to you know,
- 14:39Speaker 3: rely on the hot hand to think of like a
- 14:40Speaker 3: running back in the NFL, guys get all frustrated and
- 14:43Speaker 3: fantasy football, it's like the guys hot leave them out there.
- 14:47Speaker 3: So I just think that it comes down to those
- 14:52Speaker 3: those guys were finally they were given an opportunity. They
- 14:54Speaker 3: had success. Now they wanted more, and the Dodgers guys
- 14:56Speaker 3: from the front office came down and said, yes, we're
- 14:59Speaker 3: going to give you this runway to fail. Chris Taylor's
- 15:01Speaker 3: Key Hernandez, Jock Peterson's of the world. And now those
- 15:03Speaker 3: guys are still playing and I'm sitting here talking about them,
- 15:05Speaker 3: you know. So it really just came down to they
- 15:07Speaker 3: they got the opportunity they deserved and then they ran
- 15:09Speaker 3: with it and the team had success because.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Of it, and those guys individually as well.
- 15:15Speaker 5: I think there's also a spot maybe Aaron Judge, maybe
- 15:18Speaker 5: it came to a head yesterday, but if you look
- 15:21Speaker 5: at the lineup from yesterday, you had a lot of
- 15:25Speaker 5: young guys in key spots for the Yankees that normally
- 15:30Speaker 5: if Aaron's out on the field, if Judge he's out
- 15:33Speaker 5: on the field, maybe he can be that leader out
- 15:35Speaker 5: in the field. And he felt like he needed to
- 15:36Speaker 5: say this. I mean, you had in the same game,
- 15:39Speaker 5: you had Bellinger, you had Volpi had, you had Ali Sanchez,
- 15:45Speaker 5: you had cabi Ira playing out of position, and you
- 15:48Speaker 5: had as well as Carbrera, So you had a young
- 15:53Speaker 5: You had also Dominias Jason Dominga, so you had a
- 15:55Speaker 5: young lineup out there. That maybe it was just his
- 15:58Speaker 5: chance to kind of re iterate what we are actually
- 16:02Speaker 5: doing here and not just trying to stay in the
- 16:04Speaker 5: big leagues for these guys, but we're trying to win
- 16:06Speaker 5: a world serious So there's a different level of expectation
- 16:09Speaker 5: that he expects from his teammates.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Yep, and you know this team's going to add to
- 16:14Speaker 1: the trade deadline. You know they're hopefully going to get
- 16:16Speaker 1: judged back at some point, So how much can they
- 16:19Speaker 1: weather the storm to make sure that they're not, you know,
- 16:22Speaker 1: completely falling apart. They should have the pitching to be
- 16:25Speaker 1: able to weather the storm. Might have cost them a division,
- 16:27Speaker 1: maybe Kratz, they might not win the division, but it's
- 16:31Speaker 1: hard to see this team not making the playoffs, especially
- 16:33Speaker 1: in such a crappy American league. It's one of the
- 16:35Speaker 1: worst years ever for the American League.
- 16:39Speaker 5: They're good in that sense, but you know, are they
- 16:41Speaker 5: going to add? I say it all the time, like
- 16:45Speaker 5: Cashman doesn't try to make the big splashes at the
- 16:48Speaker 5: trade deadline. He is expected to, and yet for three
- 16:53Speaker 5: decades he continues to take his team to the playoffs.
- 16:56Speaker 5: So maybe his route is usually pretty good. Like they add,
- 17:00Speaker 5: they add very advantageously, Like it's not a who's the
- 17:05Speaker 5: best player?
- 17:05Speaker 4: Tyrek school will got it? Why because we're the Yankees.
- 17:08Speaker 5: That's not how they That's not how their team is
- 17:12Speaker 5: built to win. The way they're constructed right now, with
- 17:16Speaker 5: a few extra little pieces built here and there.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Or started Paul Skeen's career seven earned runs, that's a
- 17:22Speaker 1: new career high Philly has gotten to him a couple
- 17:24Speaker 1: times this season, and Crats, I mean, it's crazy to
- 17:30Speaker 1: say it, but if the Pirates were just going five
- 17:32Speaker 1: hundred lately on Paul skeen starts, they'd be in a
- 17:35Speaker 1: wild guard spot.
- 17:36Speaker 5: I think it's crazy that it's the same exact story.
- 17:40Speaker 5: They're scoring runs for Paul now and he's letting more
- 17:45Speaker 5: runs up.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Look, he's fine. I wouldn't say he's fine.
- 17:48Speaker 5: I think there's something nagging him, and I think he's
- 17:51Speaker 5: trying to pitch through it ever since the start, before
- 17:54Speaker 5: the Phillies start. Think during this whole streak of not
- 17:57Speaker 5: winning games for his start, I think there's something because
- 18:01Speaker 5: the v low's down a little bit, his pitches aren't
- 18:03Speaker 5: his crisp. But it is sucks for the Pirates because
- 18:07Speaker 5: they are trying this year in a pirate way.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Yeah, agreed.
- 18:13Speaker 3: I mean I don't know, Yeah, I don't have anything
- 18:15Speaker 3: like extra that I see the on Cratzy there. You know,
- 18:18Speaker 3: it's like you see the man work before. He's got
- 18:20Speaker 3: like a Trevor Bauer esque pregame routine. Right, he's in
- 18:24Speaker 3: the lab trying to fix whatever's going on. I can
- 18:25Speaker 3: promise you that, I mean, Pitching Ninja kind of diagnose
- 18:28Speaker 3: some stuff that he sees. I guarantee you Paul Skeins
- 18:30Speaker 3: is aware of those things just from you know, watching
- 18:33Speaker 3: and listening to how he goes about his business. So
- 18:35Speaker 3: he's trying to fix it. Pirates are trying to fix it.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I'm not going to bet against him. He'll get it
- 18:38Speaker 3: figured out here soon.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you see the pictures there here? They are
- 18:46Speaker 1: from Pitching Ninja. What is this ross?
- 18:51Speaker 2: Oh man, it's not much, you know.
- 18:53Speaker 3: It's the ball is out a little late there on
- 18:55Speaker 3: the right, you know, as simple as that. He's pointing
- 18:57Speaker 3: right to it, like get the ball out of your
- 18:58Speaker 3: glove a little bit earlier.
- 19:00Speaker 2: It easy for me to stay from here. Maybe good
- 19:02Speaker 2: things will happen.
- 19:09Speaker 1: People dehydration sucks. Quint's electrolyte stick packs to the rescue.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I order them, I use them all of the time.
- 19:20Speaker 6: Somebody who may or may not have had some adult
- 19:22Speaker 6: beverages in their life. The next day, you know what flavor?
- 19:24Speaker 6: I like watermelon, and I don't like watermelon. I'll go
- 19:27Speaker 6: raspberry and it helps me to get my citrus salt in.
- 19:31Speaker 6: But if I do, it helps me to get back
- 19:33Speaker 6: to normal, feeling good and ready to go the next day.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Yep, tough workout or dry mouth in the morning, whatever
- 19:38Speaker 1: it is, this is going to help you out. Quint

- 20:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I was upset, Can take it again?
- 20:17Speaker 4: You'd like to have finished five obviously?
- 20:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like I've earned that.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Talking to him on no will I don't know.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Help us out here. Kratz Zach Wheeler was pissed at
- 20:31Speaker 1: Don Maddingly for getting taken out. Just shy have five innings,
- 20:33Speaker 1: which actually broke up a streak. He had fifty three
- 20:36Speaker 1: consecutive regular season starts with at least five innings pitch
- 20:39Speaker 1: and guess what he knew about it.
- 20:41Speaker 4: That's just all of them.
- 20:42Speaker 5: I don't think he knew how many it was. He
- 20:45Speaker 5: just he has a different level of expectation for himself,
- 20:48Speaker 5: and that is to go deeper into the game for
- 20:51Speaker 5: the boys and for nothing else. And he didn't reach it.
- 20:55Speaker 5: He was struggling right up to that point. Had a
- 20:58Speaker 5: mound visit Like when when if you just look at
- 21:00Speaker 5: it and say, well, they still had a lead, why
- 21:02Speaker 5: didn't they bring him out?
- 21:03Speaker 4: And then and then Bacchus cashed in his runs.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Yes, I get that, but it was two oh base hit,
- 21:12Speaker 5: two to one line drive out, another a walk, and
- 21:16Speaker 5: then it was a mountain visit, and then it was
- 21:18Speaker 5: a two to oh at bat and then another base hit,
- 21:20Speaker 5: and you're like, it didn't seem like he was in control.
- 21:24Speaker 5: I didn't disagree with taking him out. I didn't, But
- 21:28Speaker 5: I also think he should be pissed too, because that's
- 21:31Speaker 5: the standard that he sets for himself.
- 21:34Speaker 1: It's not like we don't have someone on the show
- 21:35Speaker 1: today who's been pulled from a no hitter.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I mean yeah, two soons got it too soon.
- 21:43Speaker 2: You know what I would I would play both.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I'd play both sides of that as well. I mean,
- 21:49Speaker 3: you're right, the call is to take him out. Man,
- 21:51Speaker 3: he's coming off injury. You know, this is season's kind
- 21:53Speaker 3: of just getting going. He's laboring. You take him out.
- 21:55Speaker 3: But if you're Wheeler, you're also like part of my
- 21:57Speaker 3: job description as I get eighteen outs, Like when I
- 22:00Speaker 3: I take the ball, I'm going to get eighteen outs
- 22:02Speaker 3: or more. And you know he didn't even get fifteen outs,
- 22:05Speaker 3: so you see that disappointment. I just interviews like that.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Crack me up, man. You can tell him kind of
- 22:09Speaker 3: long worded. That man answered like six questions in four seconds.
- 22:12Speaker 3: I would have done like five hundred words to each question.
- 22:15Speaker 3: It just is fascinating to me when someone gets in
- 22:17Speaker 3: front of a mike and answers questions like that.
- 22:19Speaker 5: Jim Salisburry is act the one asking him from the
- 22:21Speaker 5: Philly Show. Jim Salisbury was He was like, did you no?
- 22:25Speaker 4: Will you maybe?
- 22:28Speaker 5: And You're like, ah, like Jim, keep asking him, Come on, Jim.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Jim's a pro. I mean he's been doing the back
- 22:35Speaker 1: and forth for a long time. He's a veteran. And yeah, Strip,
- 22:38Speaker 1: that's why you're on with us hosted a show now
- 22:40Speaker 1: because you got the words to lay it out. When
- 22:43Speaker 1: Zach Wheeler's career is done, I don't know if he's
- 22:44Speaker 1: gonna want to be on left tier anywhere else. He's
- 22:47Speaker 1: a little tighter on the words.
- 22:49Speaker 2: He can get a podcast done in about eight minutes.
- 22:52Speaker 1: That's right, Klueber, does that?
- 22:56Speaker 4: Clue Bach?
- 22:57Speaker 1: Come on, I mean this sucks. I'm going to go
- 23:02Speaker 1: back to back on these tweets. So, first off, Bob
- 23:04Speaker 1: Knight and Gal said Otani, with his start being pushed
- 23:06Speaker 1: back from today until Friday, no longer a viable candidate
- 23:09Speaker 1: to put in the pitch in the All Star Game.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Schedules make his last first half start next weekend. That
- 23:13Speaker 1: would require him to pitch on short rest in the
- 23:15Speaker 1: All Star Game. We know he's not pitching on short
- 23:17Speaker 1: rest in the All Star Game, and conspiracy theory he
- 23:20Speaker 1: probably was pushed back also to make sure this happens.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Whoa and Adam mccalvey also posting this on July first, yesterday,
- 23:27Speaker 1: the Brewers are planning to pitch Miz three more times
- 23:29Speaker 1: before the break. That includes July twelfth, first half finale.
- 23:32Speaker 1: If that's the case, not eligible to pitch in the
- 23:34Speaker 1: All Star Game strip I mean, especially Miz for me,
- 23:38Speaker 1: because he only pitches. He doesn't pitch a hit. And
- 23:40Speaker 1: I know he did this last year for them, but
- 23:42Speaker 1: you know, we want to see the best talent pitching
- 23:45Speaker 1: in the All Star Game, and it just gets very
- 23:48Speaker 1: convenient when all the stars happen to be pitching on
- 23:51Speaker 1: Saturday or Sunday.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Yeah before it sure does. I will say, I don't
- 23:55Speaker 3: mind it. It's how I snuck into an All Star
- 23:57Speaker 3: Game in twenty eighteen. I was like the last edition.
- 24:00Speaker 3: So I'll happily add that to my resume because Miles
- 24:03Speaker 3: Michaelis pitched the day before or whatever. Yeah, I mean,
- 24:07Speaker 3: it's stinks. You're right, we want to see the best.
- 24:08Speaker 3: I'm not surprised from the show hey one at all,
- 24:11Speaker 3: especially I've been a Dodger for a long time. They're
- 24:13Speaker 3: kind of the kings of workload management. Hence whether entire
- 24:16Speaker 3: roster is always healthy on October first or yeah October first.
- 24:20Speaker 2: And yeah, the miss one stinks.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I mean, in an All Star game, all hyped up,
- 24:24Speaker 3: he might hit one O seven, So that's the one.
- 24:25Speaker 3: That's the one you want to see out there.
- 24:29Speaker 5: Hey, he got in there last year, so we got
- 24:31Speaker 5: our one miss, So there you go. That's all we needed.
- 24:34Speaker 5: And yeah, I love it for the people that get
- 24:36Speaker 5: to fill in. I love that part of it. But eventually,
- 24:39Speaker 5: like the game is just an exhibition the Brewers. I
- 24:44Speaker 5: love that the Brewers were doing this not for the game,
- 24:46Speaker 5: but for the fact that that could be a game
- 24:48Speaker 5: that they win. And then he rests the whole All
- 24:52Speaker 5: Star Game, all All Star Break, and then bang he's
- 24:55Speaker 5: pitching again, back on his Friday night miss schedule.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Funny how that timing works. I mean whatever, I'm not
- 25:05Speaker 1: blaming it, you know, I'm just I'm not blaming the teams.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I'm just saying it sucks. That's all. Just sucks to
- 25:10Speaker 1: mess out on some guys. Yeah, just from the fan perspective,
- 25:13Speaker 1: I want to see miss especially Otani. I get it.
- 25:16Speaker 1: There's a lot going on there. He's given a lot
- 25:17Speaker 1: in Derby's and All Star Games. You know, he's for
- 25:20Speaker 1: mizz This is his second full season. He's been I
- 25:23Speaker 1: think the wow factor pitcher. So just like Strip said,
- 25:27Speaker 1: can you do an inning and give me a one
- 25:29Speaker 1: oh seven piece. It doesn't sound like we'll see it.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Things could change, right, maybe the schedule changes, but I
- 25:34Speaker 1: doubt it.
- 25:35Speaker 5: Sho Hey wasn't pitching anyway, Zero chance he was pitching.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Even if he had six days rest. He ain't pitching.
- 25:41Speaker 5: He ain't doing a run derby.
- 25:43Speaker 4: No Hey.
- 25:47Speaker 1: This tweet aged a little bit since the Rangers did
- 25:49Speaker 1: lose actually to the Guardians last night ninety four, but
- 25:52Speaker 1: they had won six in a row to get themselves
- 25:54Speaker 1: into first place, and then Kratz, they got hit with
- 25:57Speaker 1: the injury bug again. Actually strip first, because this is
- 25:59Speaker 1: your old teammate. Seeker hits the ball as hard as anyone.
- 26:01Speaker 1: He's so freaking good. But as he's getting older here,
- 26:04Speaker 1: the injury bugs hitting him harder. I know it's always
- 26:07Speaker 1: been something he's battled, but it's the back right now.
- 26:09Speaker 1: So he hits the shelf for the third time this season.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Rangers need him, although Hey for the Rangers, and you
- 26:14Speaker 1: can just stay in the mix and then get Corey
- 26:16Speaker 1: back and kind of do the Dodgers sing and be like,
- 26:18Speaker 1: all right, Corey's back in August and we got two
- 26:20Speaker 1: months and then he helps us get into the playoffs
- 26:22Speaker 1: and then he's crazy good by then.
- 26:24Speaker 2: You know, yeah, I hate it for Corey Man.
- 26:26Speaker 3: I mean he's he's battled, you know, like ham, he's
- 26:29Speaker 3: off and on his whole career. But I think this
- 26:30Speaker 3: is the first episode that's a back, and there's really
- 26:33Speaker 3: no way to get through a back besides the rest
- 26:35Speaker 3: and let it get all the way better. And I
- 26:37Speaker 3: think he kind of tried to battle through it, and
- 26:39Speaker 3: here it is flared up again, and you know, so
- 26:41Speaker 3: I hope he can just kind of get off his
- 26:42Speaker 3: feet and get that thing right. And yeah, for the Rangers,
- 26:45Speaker 3: you know, keep hanging in there in a division that's
- 26:46Speaker 3: nobody's running away with it, and get yourself all the
- 26:49Speaker 3: way back. And if it's a September first, you're like
- 26:52Speaker 3: a you know, call up on September first. That's the
- 26:55Speaker 3: best call up you can have in all the Major
- 26:56Speaker 3: League Baseball is Corey Seekers. So if I'm them, I'm
- 26:59Speaker 3: just get him all the way right, hanging this thing.
- 27:02Speaker 3: Jock Peterson is is back in hammering right. He's like
- 27:06Speaker 3: he always has. You know, there's that team's doing good
- 27:08Speaker 3: things that just I hope he doesn't try and rush
- 27:10Speaker 3: back because he's it's in his nature to try and
- 27:13Speaker 3: rush back and do more than you know you want
- 27:16Speaker 3: him to. So this is me, Corey Seger. If you're watching,
- 27:18Speaker 3: take your time. Man back stuff is the worst.
- 27:22Speaker 5: Just you saying Josh Peterson made me smile like he
- 27:25Speaker 5: had a homer. He had a homer the other day,
- 27:27Speaker 5: and just seeing him run around the run around second base,
- 27:29Speaker 5: You're like, man, what could have been? I think he
- 27:32Speaker 5: was a dude that hit like thirty some steals in
- 27:36Speaker 5: the minor leagues before he got called up, Like he
- 27:38Speaker 5: was a thirty to thirty minor league guy.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Going to Corey Seeger.
- 27:41Speaker 5: Then if Corey Seker stays on the field, he's a
- 27:45Speaker 5: perennial All Star, possibly an MVP type of player. When
- 27:49Speaker 5: you talk about a back, when you talk about a
- 27:51Speaker 5: team that is constantly in the mix here because everybody
- 27:57Speaker 5: in the American League is in the mix, and they
- 27:58Speaker 5: have a couple of good starting pitchers, so they're gonna
- 28:01Speaker 5: stay in the mix. You don't want to rush it,
- 28:05Speaker 5: but you also want to figure out what the heck
- 28:07Speaker 5: is going on because he had that hip thing. I
- 28:09Speaker 5: don't know if you were with him strip when he
- 28:11Speaker 5: had the hip surgery, and it was weird because it
- 28:13Speaker 5: was like, Wow, that's such a young age to have
- 28:15Speaker 5: a hip surgery, and it just seems like he goes
- 28:19Speaker 5: down and when he comes back, easy lead again. So
- 28:24Speaker 5: this Rangers team is going to rise and fall based
- 28:27Speaker 5: on health for the rest of the year.
- 28:29Speaker 4: This is a blow for them.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Hey, So a couple of things. First off, just shouting
- 28:35Speaker 1: out the YouTube chat, Roberto in the chat gifted ten
- 28:38Speaker 1: FT memberships. That's awesome, Thank you, Roberto. We appreciate that
- 28:43Speaker 1: means a lot, and it gives some other fans in
- 28:45Speaker 1: the chat an opportunity to see some of the stuff
- 28:47Speaker 1: that we've done on the subscribe only scene over there
- 28:50Speaker 1: on YouTube and plus use some crazy emojis. Also closing
- 28:53Speaker 1: up our YouTube poll, which player most likely to be
- 28:56Speaker 1: traded before the deadline? It felt like this was kind
- 28:58Speaker 1: of a layup at this time around. School was on
- 29:01Speaker 1: the list, but the Tigers might hold him if they
- 29:03Speaker 1: go on a run. Same with all contra Even our
- 29:05Speaker 1: oldest chapman, Luisa Rise was on here and he got
- 29:07Speaker 1: forty one percent. He's definitely getting traded. He's entering a
- 29:11Speaker 1: free agent year and he's on a team that's already
- 29:13Speaker 1: admitted they're selling should he have not won like ninety
- 29:16Speaker 1: eight percent to this. It's like only if you think
- 29:18Speaker 1: he's getting hurt or something.
- 29:22Speaker 3: People just want to see Scoo Ball on the move man.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Everyone wants to see where schoo Ball is going. So
- 29:27Speaker 3: that took some votes away from the obvious choice.
- 29:30Speaker 1: That's fair. Hey, also some injury. Oh go ahead, Kratz.
- 29:34Speaker 5: No, No, I was just gonna say, yeah, it's the
- 29:36Speaker 5: obvious Luisa Rise here go.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you going see Matt Chapman we brought up the
- 29:42Speaker 1: other day. Now he's been iled, the Giants are shopping him,
- 29:45Speaker 1: but you got to see you know what the recovery
- 29:48Speaker 1: timeline is for him because he's got an abdominal strain. So, uh,
- 29:52Speaker 1: we'll see what happens. There also a guy we love
- 29:55Speaker 1: having on this show, Brent Rrooker, who's I think one
- 29:57Speaker 1: of the great minds in the game and also just
- 29:59Speaker 1: a great tweeter thing, really well respected in the a's organization.
- 30:03Speaker 1: He's getting surgery to repair cartilage in his left knee.
- 30:05Speaker 1: It's been kind of a lost season for him, so
- 30:07Speaker 1: he's out for the rest of the year. That's a
- 30:09Speaker 1: huge blow for the A's right. We don't talk a
- 30:12Speaker 1: ton about them. I don't know if they're getting taken
- 30:15Speaker 1: super seriously, but if Rooker in the whole offense is intact,
- 30:19Speaker 1: they could make a little wild card run strip And
- 30:22Speaker 1: it's been a minute for them. You know, you had
- 30:24Speaker 1: a little taste of what was going on there. It's
- 30:27Speaker 1: been rough times for a while there.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I was there in twenty twenty four
- 30:32Speaker 3: and you could kind of see the riding on the
- 30:34Speaker 3: wall that this team was up and coming, you know,
- 30:36Speaker 3: with Soda Strum and Langeliers and Wilson and then Rooker
- 30:40Speaker 3: kind of the main stay in there a little bit older,
- 30:42Speaker 3: and just you know, I hate it for Rooker for sure,
- 30:45Speaker 3: because he is the leader in that clubhouse, and you know,
- 30:48Speaker 3: he obviously does it on and off the field as
- 30:51Speaker 3: far as what we've seen him. Like you said, he tweets,
- 30:54Speaker 3: He's got some great tweets on there, but you know,
- 30:56Speaker 3: he's a thirty home run guy when he's healthy, and
- 30:59Speaker 3: that's a team that's trying to make a little run
- 31:01Speaker 3: here and take the next step, and you really wish
- 31:04Speaker 3: that he could be on the field for them because he.
- 31:06Speaker 2: We mentioned earlier about a star.
- 31:08Speaker 3: That team needs a star, and you know he's the
- 31:11Speaker 3: closest they have to that as far as right now,
- 31:13Speaker 3: a guy that really intimidates you when he's in the
- 31:15Speaker 3: box hurts yes, yes, yeah, kurts.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Hey, here we are again again. A reminder to everyone.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Last three minutes here of FT until next week on Monday.
- 31:41Speaker 1: No show on Friday, as we observed July fourth holiday
- 31:44Speaker 1: day early since July fourth is on a weekend. Aj
- 31:47Speaker 1: Perzinski will be back from his long tour, including a
- 31:51Speaker 1: sit down with the Pope, so we'll get his full
- 31:54Speaker 1: analysis of that trip. Yes, very important trip for mister Prizinski.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Looking forward to that stuff we didn't get to. Actually,
- 32:02Speaker 1: there was really only one on my list that I
- 32:04Speaker 1: didn't get to. And did you guys see the Steve
- 32:07Speaker 1: Cohen interview or at least bits and pieces of it.
- 32:09Speaker 1: The Mets owner he was on with Joe Sherman and
- 32:12Speaker 1: John Hayman. He actually like slipped in there. Lindor and
- 32:16Speaker 1: I'm paraphrasing, but I'm pretty on the mark here. Lindor
- 32:18Speaker 1: and Soda they're fine now. They they kind of got
- 32:20Speaker 1: past that stuff. There were a lot of reports, there
- 32:23Speaker 1: was a lot going on. Mike Pum I think was
- 32:25Speaker 1: the first person the New York Post to put it
- 32:27Speaker 1: out there, and he got shredded. Some people on this
- 32:30Speaker 1: show kind of shredded. I'm shooling, were like Mike, and
- 32:33Speaker 1: then he kind of put something out last night. Like
- 32:35Speaker 1: as I said in my report from several months ago,
- 32:39Speaker 1: there was some things going on between these two people
- 32:42Speaker 1: and the owner of the team just he like talked
- 32:45Speaker 1: about it in passing, you know, like, oh, it's fine,
- 32:47Speaker 1: that stuff's fine. This is where like you could be
- 32:50Speaker 1: a billionaire and not being attention to the day to
- 32:52Speaker 1: day like he probably assumed everyone already knew that or
- 32:55Speaker 1: saw that. But there was a lot of like public
- 32:58Speaker 1: battle going on. Krats were some people were like, don't
- 33:01Speaker 1: call that out. You're just trying to find drama with
- 33:02Speaker 1: a team that stinks. Like it doesn't mean that they
- 33:06Speaker 1: Does it mean that that's what caused the Mets to
- 33:08Speaker 1: not play well last year. No, there's tons of teammates
- 33:11Speaker 1: that don't like each other. It's just the actual report
- 33:14Speaker 1: was true.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Yes, and yes it affects what did they lose? What
- 33:20Speaker 4: did they lose? What did they miss out in the
- 33:21Speaker 4: playoffs by one game? All Right?
- 33:24Speaker 5: I have a hard time believing in one hundred and
- 33:26Speaker 5: sixty two game season one game isn't affected by a
- 33:31Speaker 5: tiff that maybe seemed a little bit more than a tiff.
- 33:34Speaker 5: It wasn't fisticuffs, but it was a tiff. And they
- 33:37Speaker 5: don't ever have to see to eye. But they got
- 33:40Speaker 5: to be on the same page or else the whole
- 33:43Speaker 5: team's going to be split.
- 33:45Speaker 3: M hmm, yep, spot on, man, those those are two
- 33:49Speaker 3: best players. They if something comes between them, it's got
- 33:51Speaker 3: to get solid very quickly, or else it will linger,
- 33:54Speaker 3: or it will bleed on itself onto the field.
- 33:56Speaker 5: Where there's smoke, there's fire, And clearly there was a fire,
- 33:59Speaker 5: and thank you Steve uncle Stevie for confirming it.
- 34:04Speaker 1: And he's not stupid either, Like I'm not saying he
- 34:06Speaker 1: didn't know that what the public perception is, Just like
- 34:09Speaker 1: I've spoken to many managers that are like when I
- 34:11Speaker 1: say something, and you're like, does he know he said that?
- 34:13Speaker 1: I know I said that. I want certain people to
- 34:15Speaker 1: hear certain things. So maybe he was doing a little
- 34:19Speaker 1: bit of that psychology publicly as well.
- 34:21Speaker 5: That can definitely Stevie's the only owner that tweets, and
- 34:26Speaker 5: I love that.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. He's very public facing. We do we
- 34:31Speaker 1: do Strip well. Most of them aren't allowed to say anything.
- 34:33Speaker 1: They're worried they're going to say something stupid. But Steve
- 34:36Speaker 1: is smart. And there's some third fourth generation owners that
- 34:40Speaker 1: are not really up to speed on baseball or business
- 34:43Speaker 1: or anything in the league says do not talk, you
- 34:45Speaker 1: will embarrass yourself, and they're right, Strip.
- 34:49Speaker 4: You have to confirm or deny this.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Do you think there is more than one or more
- 34:53Speaker 5: owners that would say, wow, we just made a run
- 34:57Speaker 5: in that game?
- 35:00Speaker 2: Confirm confirm right?
- 35:04Speaker 4: Yeah, more than one? Yeah?
- 35:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, like put the over under about eleven
- 35:09Speaker 3: and a half.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Thank you, yeah, we've made a run.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Five yeah, I would say there's probably five even owners
- 35:18Speaker 1: that really know ball. Maybe maybe I'm being a little
- 35:21Speaker 1: two generous, but five to seven there's a bunch in
- 35:23Speaker 1: the middle, and then there's probably like, yeah, I was
- 35:26Speaker 1: gonna say tennish where you're like, you know nothing, nothing,
- 35:31Speaker 1: and that's why they don't like you speak about anything
- 35:33Speaker 1: besides finances once a year. Strip. Good stuff, man, Great
- 35:37Speaker 1: to have you on.
- 35:38Speaker 2: You guys, make it easy. Thank y'all, see you next time.
- 35:41Speaker 1: See you next time. Thanks to Parker Massik for joining
- 35:43Speaker 1: us too, and for everyone else. We'll see you on
