- 0:03Speaker 1: And now, the mob guys creak.
- 0:12Speaker 2: On your knees and.
- 0:22Speaker 4: We are the mob, guys. I am Craig. He can
- 0:27Speaker 4: say his own name. Wendell Cefino.
- 0:51Speaker 5: You're Wendell Cefino, and we are here on KSEV in
- 0:55Speaker 5: the beautiful radio studio that is so well represented by
- 0:59Speaker 5: the visual that people saw before the show started, the
- 1:03Speaker 5: animated visual.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, so what exactly was that?
- 1:06Speaker 5: That was AI's rendition of our studio. That's what AI
- 1:12Speaker 5: assumes we look like.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Okay, can we show people again the picture, or is
- 1:16Speaker 4: that not possible?
- 1:19Speaker 5: Give me a second.
- 1:19Speaker 4: I can get there. But I'd like to comment before
- 1:22Speaker 4: you actually show it. Okay. So this AI thing, I
- 1:28Speaker 4: think our AI went a little crazy. It was being deceptive,
- 1:34Speaker 4: and I think it sort of epitomizes– The scary reality.
- 1:39Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:39Speaker 5: I'm going to I'm going to zoom forward. So you're
- 1:42Speaker 5: seeing the video now.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I'm driving down. Where are we driving? What road is that?
- 1:46Speaker 5: That is not a real road. It's just supposed to
- 1:49Speaker 5: be a highway. And we're seeing now. Here's the thing.
- 1:52Speaker 5: Anyone that's watching on social media, including Wayne's Facebook page,
- 1:55Speaker 5: you can see that all the other like things were
- 1:58Speaker 5: passing on the side of the road.
- 1:59Speaker 4: It's not.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Perfectly representative of what the thing actually is.
- 2:04Speaker 4: There's like two things built.
- 2:06Speaker 5: No, there's like 12 that go by. You just saw
- 2:10Speaker 5: San Juanicito. You're going to see a version of SpaceX.
- 2:14Speaker 5: I don't know, a monument, right?
- 2:16Speaker 4: Oh, there's NASA. Yeah, right. Without the buildings. There's no buildings.
- 2:20Speaker 5: This is AI, man. But here, we're going to jump
- 2:22Speaker 5: ahead so that you don't criticize everything else. And then
- 2:24Speaker 5: we'll get to, there is KSV radio.
- 2:26Speaker 4: All right. Now, look. I really believe in truth and transparency.
- 2:30Speaker 5: You do.
- 2:32Speaker 4: And I have been to the studio.
- 2:35Speaker 5: And it looks almost exactly like that.
- 2:37Speaker 4: And it is shocking how great it is. Look, KSEV
- 2:44Speaker 4: looks nothing like that. Yeah, I know. And then the
- 2:46Speaker 4: next shot is like some fancy studio with all kinds of... Actually.
- 2:51Speaker 5: What's interesting about that, that last shot is a real
- 2:54Speaker 5: photograph of the inside of our station that was animated
- 2:58Speaker 5: by AI by Lucas Hall, one of the other producers here.
- 3:00Speaker 5: So that is not actually fake. That last thing is real.
- 3:04Speaker 5: I can go back to it again. We can do
- 3:06Speaker 5: it again. Hold on.
- 3:07Speaker 4: You're a little blurry.
- 3:10Speaker 5: Am I a little blurry? So this is actually a
- 3:12Speaker 5: shot of the real radio station.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Where?
- 3:15Speaker 5: That's the producer booth. That's an actual visual of the
- 3:18Speaker 5: real producer booth.
- 3:20Speaker 4: That's an actual picture.
- 3:22Speaker 5: Well, the thing in the background, the voice of Texas Banner,
- 3:24Speaker 5: that's not real. And I don't know what threw that window.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Yeah, because he used a cardboard sign in the corner
- 3:29Speaker 4: of the studio. It was like eight bucks.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Lucas Hall, who is the producer of Chris X's show
- 3:36Speaker 5: and also doing a lot of digital for us, he's
- 3:38Speaker 5: the one who made that. And that's a real photograph
- 3:40Speaker 5: he took.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Very nice. Okay, well, let's talk about something important.
- 3:44Speaker 7: All right, fine.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Let's talk about something important.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Other than your deceptive AI model that's obviously run amok.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Yeah, that you enjoy a lot. Well, there's a lot
- 3:52Speaker 5: of things out there. I think you wanted to talk
- 3:54Speaker 5: about something that Bill Hall said on, or Bill King,
- 3:58Speaker 5: excuse me, said on What's Your Point?
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah, because we're going to raise taxes again because, hey,
- 4:06Speaker 4: we got money to burn, baby. Just take some more
- 4:08Speaker 4: of my money. Can I tell you something? I think
- 4:11Speaker 4: we've raised taxes like 30% in the last three or
- 4:14Speaker 4: four years. And I know inflation is out of control
- 4:20Speaker 4: at 3% or 3.7% or whatever it is. How do
- 4:24Speaker 4: we need to raise taxes like 30% in a three
- 4:28Speaker 4: or four year period when inflation has only gone up
- 4:32Speaker 4: like 4%? And I'm told that the new budget will
- 4:36Speaker 4: bring in, I think it's $ 327 million more.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:41Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 5: It will bring in a lot of money.
- 4:45Speaker 4: What is going on?
- 4:46Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 4:46Speaker 5: I don't have a good idea.
- 4:47Speaker 4: And then I heard Leslie Briones, who apparently was defending
- 4:53Speaker 4: the need to constantly raise taxes because of our explosive
- 4:56Speaker 4: growth in Harris County. That was like we're exploding with people.
- 5:02Speaker 4: And while I will admit there does seem to be
- 5:04Speaker 4: a lot more different kind of folk living here. Bill
- 5:09Speaker 4: King was on What's Your Point with Greg Grugin, and
- 5:12Speaker 4: he was asked to respond to Leslie Briones' theory that
- 5:18Speaker 4: because we've got a crapload of, I guess, illegals or
- 5:21Speaker 4: whoever's coming, that we need to raise taxes again. And
- 5:26Speaker 4: I kind of wanted folks to listen. I called Bill
- 5:29Speaker 4: last night at like midnight to say, hey, come on
- 5:31Speaker 4: the show this morning. but he didn't answer the phone.
- 5:34Speaker 4: I don't know what happened.
- 5:35Speaker 5: All right, well, we can play it first, and maybe
- 5:36Speaker 5: we'll hear from him today at some point. We'll get
- 5:38Speaker 5: him on another show.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 5:39Speaker 9: When we're growing so rapidly, and then we have to
- 5:42Speaker 9: contend with the law passed by the state of Texas
- 5:46Speaker 9: in 2019, which is the revenue cap, to cap it 3.5%,
- 5:50Speaker 9: there is an inherent tension that we're always having to balance, right?
- 5:55Speaker 9: Delivering core services, delivering what I call the non-negotiables with excellence, right?
- 6:01Speaker 9: while having to balance the growth and the increasing demand,
- 6:05Speaker 9: which is then, of course, made further interesting by additional
- 6:12Speaker 9: unfunded mandates that we get.
- 6:15Speaker 10: Panel Commissioner Leslie Briones trying to put lipstick on this
- 6:19Speaker 10: pig at the public trough. For the record, we invited
- 6:23Speaker 10: Commissioner Briones to defend this massive tax hike here this morning.
- 6:28Speaker 10: And let me check. Nope, still haven't heard back yet.
- 6:33Speaker 10: I'm going to go straight to Bill King.
- 6:35Speaker 6: So none of what Commissioner Breonna said in that statement
- 6:38Speaker 6: was true, not a single part of it. She made
- 6:40Speaker 6: three points. Harris County is rapidly growing. Harris County is
- 6:44Speaker 6: not rapidly growing. It grew by less than 1% last year.
- 6:47Speaker 6: 100% of that growth was international immigration. And you know
- 6:51Speaker 6: what's happened to international immigration. Every demographer that I know
- 6:55Speaker 6: thinks Harris County will lose population this year. By the way,
- 6:58Speaker 6: until Biden had his border policy that led a lot
- 7:01Speaker 6: of people in, Harris County had been flat for about
- 7:03Speaker 6: 10 years. Starting about 2015, people started moving out of
- 7:07Speaker 6: Harris County. And we've had negative domestic migration every year
- 7:13Speaker 6: for the last 10 years. Last year was the highest
- 7:15Speaker 6: level ever, 44,000 people. It's about 300,000 people have moved
- 7:19Speaker 6: out of Harris County in the last 10 years. 18
- 7:22Speaker 6: out of 25 Harris County school districts lost enrollment last year.
- 7:26Speaker 6: A total enrollment drop of 26,000 students, 3%. Does any
- 7:31Speaker 6: of this sound like a growing county to you?
- 7:33Speaker 8: No, it's not.
- 7:34Speaker 6: So I don't know what county she's living in, but
- 7:36Speaker 6: it's not Harris County. Let me finish. So the unfunded mandates,
- 7:40Speaker 6: here are the increases in the budget, $ 327 million. $ 89
- 7:45Speaker 6: million to continue free health care for the employees, not
- 7:49Speaker 6: mandated by the state. Increase of $ 76 million for law
- 7:53Speaker 6: enforcement raises and filling positions, not mandated by the state.
- 7:57Speaker 6: Continuing the ARPA and special funds, $ 58 million, not mandated
- 8:01Speaker 6: by the state. civilian pay increases, $ 50 million, not mandated
- 8:06Speaker 6: by the state. You can go through this list. There
- 8:08Speaker 6: is not one dollar of the $ 327 million increase in
- 8:14Speaker 6: the funding that they're asking for and asking us to
- 8:16Speaker 6: pay for that was mandated by the state. And oh,
- 8:19Speaker 6: by the way, part of that increase is for Leslie
- 8:23Speaker 6: Briones to add 70 staff members to her personal staff.
- 8:26Speaker 6: There's 98 staff members being added in.
- 8:29Speaker 5: All the commissioner's office.
- 8:30Speaker 6: Her office is adding 70 staff members in her office.
- 8:34Speaker 5: He crushed it right there for all the stuff that's
- 8:36Speaker 5: absolutely a lie. Go ahead, Wayne.
- 8:38Speaker 4: For people that don't know, Bill King ran for mayor.
- 8:41Speaker 4: I got to tell you, I've done investigations of Bill
- 8:44Speaker 4: back in the past, right? So we're... We're friends. We
- 8:47Speaker 4: do the show together. But I think he probably still
- 8:49Speaker 4: secretly hates me for what I did before. But having
- 8:53Speaker 4: said that, he is one of those few people that
- 8:56Speaker 4: I trust. When I hear him say numbers, I know
- 9:01Speaker 4: that Bill, because he has money and apparently doesn't have
- 9:04Speaker 4: to work like slaves like we do, he is right.
- 9:10Speaker 4: He's right on. I've done a lot of investigations into
- 9:13Speaker 4: Harris County. And One of the departments I've investigated is
- 9:19Speaker 4: called D E E O. It's the diversity, equity, opportunity,
- 9:24Speaker 4: whatever people, we need equity, right? We need to have like,
- 9:29Speaker 4: if there are people that are fat, we need to
- 9:31Speaker 4: have fat chairs. If there are people that are skinny,
- 9:33Speaker 4: we need to have skinny chairs. I really cannot. I
- 9:37Speaker 4: literally heard a person speak at a city council meeting
- 9:40Speaker 4: who had been hired as some, equity person talking about like,
- 9:44Speaker 4: we have to understand that not all people can fit
- 9:47Speaker 4: in these small chairs. And I'm going, really, are we
- 9:51Speaker 4: going to have different size chairs for, are we going
- 9:54Speaker 4: to have to weigh in when we go to a
- 9:56Speaker 4: city hall meeting? I just don't know what these people think.
- 10:02Speaker 4: But this department has exploded in cost. And what they
- 10:08Speaker 4: do is go around checking to make sure affirmative action
- 10:11Speaker 4: companies are really whatever. They worry about what color people are,
- 10:16Speaker 4: which is one of the big problems in this country.
- 10:19Speaker 4: We got to stop talking about what color people are
- 10:25Speaker 4: because it doesn't matter. I don't know whether those brown
- 10:29Speaker 4: people lived here for a thousand years or they just
- 10:33Speaker 4: like jumped in the Guadalupe. I don't know what or
- 10:36Speaker 4: whatever river that is down there. I don't know what
- 10:39Speaker 4: these people are and I don't care. And I really
- 10:42Speaker 4: think it's one of the missing messages for us.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Yes.
- 10:46Speaker 4: That we're the party that doesn't give a crap what
- 10:49Speaker 4: color you are. We just want you to get off
- 10:52Speaker 4: your butt and work.
- 10:53Speaker 5: I can go even further, Wayne, because there's a missing
- 10:55Speaker 5: message for sure on the conservative. I don't care what
- 10:58Speaker 5: you do in your own home if you're an adult.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Have a good time.
- 11:01Speaker 5: There's a lot of things I don't care about that
- 11:03Speaker 5: I provide you the freedoms that you expect and you
- 11:06Speaker 5: provide me the freedoms that I expect, and you don't
- 11:08Speaker 5: demand your ideology is in my brain, which is the
- 11:12Speaker 5: problem on the left. The left always needs... other people
- 11:15Speaker 5: to think like them. But yes, you're absolutely right. It's
- 11:18Speaker 5: one of several things that my problem sometimes with the
- 11:22Speaker 5: conservative attacks on the messaging, not necessarily the real message itself,
- 11:28Speaker 5: is that they're racist and sexist and this. And the
- 11:30Speaker 5: truth is, I don't care about any of that. None
- 11:32Speaker 5: of it matters. I'm just not going to prioritize any
- 11:35Speaker 5: sort of, you know, government bills that I create around
- 11:40Speaker 5: anything other than skill. I want you to be the
- 11:42Speaker 5: best at whatever job you get. And I want everyone
- 11:45Speaker 5: to have a shot at it. I want to give
- 11:47Speaker 5: opportunity to everyone, but I don't want to control outcome
- 11:50Speaker 5: at all. And it's crazy that they don't go ahead.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Can I make another quick complaint and then I'll go on?
- 11:55Speaker 4: This is a personal thing. I have a, I want
- 11:58Speaker 4: to send a message out to the city. I have
- 12:00Speaker 4: a recycling can that's been broken for six months. Okay. It,
- 12:06Speaker 4: every time it rains, it fills up with water and
- 12:09Speaker 4: to move it to the curb requires me to call
- 12:13Speaker 4: the one of my staff to say, can you come
- 12:16Speaker 4: over and help me push this garbage can?
- 12:18Speaker 2: Wow.
- 12:19Speaker 4: And I, I just want this city. I'll give that
- 12:22Speaker 4: my address. I don't care. I mean, someone wants people
- 12:25Speaker 4: who want to kill me can find me.
- 12:26Speaker 6: Right.
- 12:27Speaker 4: So I get it. I just would like someone to
- 12:30Speaker 4: replace my darn, but recycling can with a new one. And, um, I,
- 12:38Speaker 4: I just, I don't understand what I'm paying for. We,
- 12:42Speaker 4: I just don't understand it.
- 12:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Leslie Briones, of all people, besides for adding staff, she's
- 12:49Speaker 4: the one that paid all these bonuses that they don't
- 12:51Speaker 4: call bonuses to her staff because she wanted to keep them.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Of all people to complain about spending. You know, Leslie
- 12:59Speaker 4: Briones seems real nice and she's all bubbly and we're
- 13:02Speaker 4: just trying to spend money, whatever. It's just insane. And
- 13:06Speaker 4: it reminds me of the other thing that's insane is
- 13:09Speaker 4: that's the toll road.
- 13:11Speaker 8: Yes.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Okay?
- 13:11Speaker 11: Yes.
- 13:12Speaker 4: And I will tell you that of all the investigations
- 13:15Speaker 4: I've done, there is virtually none, other than maybe some
- 13:18Speaker 4: cop haters out there. There is nothing that gets more
- 13:21Speaker 4: views than the stories I've done on the toll road
- 13:24Speaker 4: and the hundreds of millions of dollars of surplus money
- 13:29Speaker 4: that we get every year that is then spread around
- 13:32Speaker 4: to the commissioners to do stuff they want to do
- 13:36Speaker 4: in their districts. Okay? That's interesting. I'm sure a curb
- 13:39Speaker 4: is really nice and some flowers. I get it. Okay. But,
- 13:43Speaker 4: but we, it is one of the great scams of
- 13:48Speaker 4: the public.
- 13:49Speaker 5: That's interesting.
- 13:50Speaker 4: When they sold it, you got to go.
- 13:52Speaker 5: Yeah, we do have to take a break, but I
- 13:53Speaker 5: was going to tell you that I was in the
- 13:54Speaker 5: middle of a story. Go ahead. Keep going. No, no,
- 13:56Speaker 5: go ahead. I was going to tell you that we
- 13:58Speaker 5: get calls all the time, complaining the toll road also
- 14:01Speaker 5: still has traffic. If it's going to cost so much
- 14:03Speaker 5: money and they're going to steal all the money, at
- 14:05Speaker 5: least try to make the traffic nicer on the toll road.
- 14:08Speaker 4: I'm with you. Okay, well, let's take your break. Okay.
- 14:11Speaker 4: And then I can continue my break.
- 14:13Speaker 12: Yes.
- 14:13Speaker 5: The rest of Wayne's story in just a bit. KSEV Mornings,

- 18:03Speaker 5: looked it up before. I just don't remember.
- 18:07Speaker 4: I'm old. I'm the guy that says I don't remember.
- 18:10Speaker 4: I know. But Dolce Fino means sweet and fine.
- 18:14Speaker 5: I guess.
- 18:15Speaker 4: And when I'm in a confrontation with someone and they
- 18:17Speaker 4: call me a terrorist or an a-hole or the most
- 18:22Speaker 4: corrupt person in America, I say, hey. I'm sweet. I'm fine.
- 18:28Speaker 5: So there's two meanings. First, there is a town in Italy, Cagliano.
- 18:32Speaker 5: So it's technically someone who is from Cagliano. And then
- 18:35Speaker 5: the other meaning is not so great. It's fool or idiot.
- 18:39Speaker 5: So that's the other thing that colonies can be.
- 18:41Speaker 4: Oh, that's why you don't remember. Because it means you're
- 18:46Speaker 4: an idiot.
- 18:47Speaker 5: It does.
- 18:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:48Speaker 5: A fool or an idiot.
- 18:49Speaker 4: Yeah. Don't you feel bad about people whose family names
- 18:52Speaker 4: can be traced back to the word idiot? Yeah. I do.
- 18:55Speaker 4: Or fool.
- 18:56Speaker 3: I do.
- 18:56Speaker 4: I feel bad for those people. And that's why you've
- 18:59Speaker 4: been calling yourself Collins all these years. Because you're trying
- 19:03Speaker 4: to hide your identity. And we live in a country
- 19:06Speaker 4: where everybody's identity is unique and must be respected. And
- 19:12Speaker 4: I am Italian-American. And from what I understand, when my
- 19:16Speaker 4: grandparents came over, let me look up at the map,
- 19:18Speaker 4: 1921 to this country. My grandfather made furniture, apparently, but
- 19:24Speaker 4: you couldn't do that here, right? It wasn't like you
- 19:27Speaker 4: weren't allowed. It was like a quota. And he came here,
- 19:33Speaker 4: and he ended up working at a butcher shop. I'm
- 19:35Speaker 4: looking at the picture. It's on my wall of my
- 19:38Speaker 4: uncle who died when he was, like, in his 40s,
- 19:41Speaker 4: which is sad in its own right. But he died,
- 19:45Speaker 4: and he worked at a butcher shop. It was a
- 19:47Speaker 4: New Jersey butcher shop that had fresh Jersey pork and
- 19:52Speaker 4: what they call city dressed beef whatever the hell that
- 19:55Speaker 4: is and my point if I can make it is
- 20:00Speaker 4: if I even know what the hell I'm talking about
- 20:02Speaker 4: is that I should be complaining every day about the
- 20:06Speaker 4: treatment of my you should Right. I mean, being called
- 20:12Speaker 4: WAP and Dago. And I think Italians today, I should
- 20:18Speaker 4: get my Italian flag. I should put it up next
- 20:21Speaker 4: to Don Corleone and say, why are you treating me
- 20:26Speaker 4: this way?
- 20:27Speaker 10: Right.
- 20:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 4: I'm a white guy. I think I'm an olive guy,
- 20:32Speaker 4: but I'm a white guy.
- 20:32Speaker 7: Right.
- 20:33Speaker 5: My family would talk about the two. My great grandparents
- 20:35Speaker 5: were the ones that came over here and they'd talk
- 20:37Speaker 5: all the time. My grandfather about how poorly people were
- 20:39Speaker 5: treated back in the day. So you're right. By the
- 20:41Speaker 5: rules of 2026, both of us deserve something. Have I
- 20:45Speaker 5: actually been treated racially as a person in my life? No,
- 20:50Speaker 5: but that doesn't matter. Somebody in my lineage was treated unfairly.
- 20:54Speaker 5: So I need compensation, I believe.
- 20:57Speaker 4: When people call me names, I don't know whether or
- 21:00Speaker 4: not they're doing it because I'm Italian, American.
- 21:04Speaker 5: Probably they're racist.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Or because I'm an investigative reporter. But back to my
- 21:07Speaker 4: toll road thing. Okay.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Yes.
- 21:09Speaker 4: Because I'm serious. And I would like... What's the number
- 21:13Speaker 4: to call in here?
- 21:14Speaker 5: I don't have it memorized. Hold on.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Really?
- 21:16Speaker 4: Isn't it 281 something?
- 21:18Speaker 5: Yeah, 281. That's part of it.
- 21:19Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 21:19Speaker 4: You don't even know the number to call in?
- 21:22Speaker 5: I don't encourage people to call in as much as
- 21:25Speaker 5: the rest of the station does.
- 21:26Speaker 3: But it's 281-558-5738.
- 21:26Speaker 5: 281-558-5... I always have to look it up to make
- 21:28Speaker 5: sure I get it right.
- 21:29Speaker 8: Okay.
- 21:29Speaker 4: So.
- 21:33Speaker 4: And when people– I would like to hear– look, I
- 21:36Speaker 4: believe that if there was a vote today– and I
- 21:40Speaker 4: have been very disappointed in the candidates for Harris County
- 21:43Speaker 4: judge in this campaign. Obviously, I think Orlando Sanchez would
- 21:47Speaker 4: be far better than Letitia Plummer, who was on city
- 21:50Speaker 4: council and I think lived in another city. But whatever.
- 21:53Speaker 4: It's another story. But we should stop this toll road nonsense.
- 22:00Speaker 4: The toll road has become– another large tax. Yeah. So
- 22:05Speaker 4: when they talk about property taxes, right. And that going
- 22:09Speaker 4: up 7% or who knows, I mean, every year it's like,
- 22:12Speaker 4: we need more government. We need more people. We've got
- 22:16Speaker 4: to pay people three, $ 400, 000 a year. And I'm going, really?
- 22:20Speaker 4: I work like six days a week and run a
- 22:23Speaker 4: company and I don't make that money. I mean, what
- 22:25Speaker 4: are you talking about? Why do we need to pay?
- 22:28Speaker 4: And I even have the problem with constables, but back
- 22:31Speaker 4: to my toll road, It's like we now get like
- 22:35Speaker 4: $ 800 million in surplus money. Pay off the damn roads.
- 22:41Speaker 4: I mean, look, if you have money to spend and
- 22:44Speaker 4: you owe like billions of dollars on these roads, right?
- 22:48Speaker 4: How do you have all this extra money to send
- 22:51Speaker 4: to some politician? Pay off the damn roads. Tell us
- 22:54Speaker 4: how much it costs to maintain. There's not even people
- 22:57Speaker 4: in these booths anymore. It's all like electronics.
- 23:01Speaker 5: You know what's amazing about that? I immediately thought of
- 23:04Speaker 5: like an old radio stunt, which radio stations used to
- 23:06Speaker 5: do very effectively and nobody does anymore, of just us
- 23:09Speaker 5: on the side of the toll road with signs that say,
- 23:11Speaker 5: pay off the damn road. Pay off the damn, just
- 23:13Speaker 5: hold those up and see if people beep. We can
- 23:15Speaker 5: do a social media video, something.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Okay, I'll do it. I don't have anything else to
- 23:21Speaker 4: do with my life. I'm not running. I'm not running
- 23:24Speaker 4: a company.
- 23:24Speaker 5: I'll do it. You're very busy.
- 23:26Speaker 4: I tell you what, let's do it together. I think
- 23:28Speaker 4: we should hook up. We should go to a toll
- 23:30Speaker 4: road booth and knock on the door and say, where
- 23:33Speaker 4: the hell is everybody? Right. And there's some company making
- 23:36Speaker 4: a crap load of money running this electronic toll road thing.
- 23:40Speaker 4: And so when you look at salaries, and I forget
- 23:42Speaker 4: exactly the amount, but it's like $ 460, 000 that the toll
- 23:48Speaker 4: road director makes. Now, I'm sorry. Once the roads are electronic, right,
- 23:53Speaker 4: all you got to do is.
- 23:54Speaker 5: Like- A 491-218. Thank you very much. It's almost $ 500, 000.
- 23:59Speaker 5: What the hell?
- 24:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:02Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 24:03Speaker 5: That's nuts.
- 24:04Speaker 4: These government salaries are out of control.
- 24:08Speaker 7: That's out of control.
- 24:08Speaker 4: I've said it before, and those of our older audience
- 24:11Speaker 4: will really appreciate this, is that we used to not
- 24:14Speaker 4: pay public service much. Right. We gave them a great pension. Hey,
- 24:18Speaker 4: don't worry about it. We'll pay you like 10 bucks now.
- 24:20Speaker 4: I think this will pay you a lot when you're old, right?
- 24:24Speaker 4: And I made more money when I was working, and
- 24:27Speaker 4: now without thinking about the fact that when I stopped working,
- 24:30Speaker 4: I would live in a trailer home in an RV
- 24:32Speaker 4: park with a bunch of sex offenders. But I don't understand.
- 24:38Speaker 4: I don't understand why we can justify paying someone who
- 24:44Speaker 4: runs a toll road, which is mostly built, Right. Maybe
- 24:49Speaker 4: there's a one more they're doing.
- 24:51Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 24:52Speaker 4: Everything's a toll road now.
- 24:54Speaker 5: I think the biggest problem I've always complained when I
- 24:56Speaker 5: watch it at like a federal level where the Congress
- 24:59Speaker 5: will vote on whether or not to give a raise
- 25:01Speaker 5: to Congress, that the last thing we should ever do
- 25:04Speaker 5: is allow anyone in the world of politics to choose
- 25:06Speaker 5: their own salary or choose the salaries of people around them.
- 25:09Speaker 5: We should always be choosing those salaries ourselves and we
- 25:13Speaker 5: should be able to adjust them right now. If we're
- 25:16Speaker 5: unhappy with, say, the quality of the roads around. We
- 25:18Speaker 5: should be able to bring that down in our next
- 25:20Speaker 5: vote as the public by a whole crap ton of money.
- 25:23Speaker 5: We take a zero off of that number and give
- 25:26Speaker 5: them $.
- 25:27Speaker 19: 50, 000.
- 25:27Speaker 4: If there was a vote today on the toll roads, look,
- 25:30Speaker 4: I think, look, I don't know if we can get
- 25:33Speaker 4: enough people to do it, but I would urge somebody
- 25:36Speaker 4: who's got money to back it. Let's force a vote.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Let's get enough people to sign a petition saying, which
- 25:44Speaker 4: you'll be in charge of going to get. All right.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Every day you'll be walking the roads.
- 25:49Speaker 5: That's fine.
- 25:49Speaker 4: I'll do it. Let's get something on the ballot to say,
- 25:55Speaker 4: when you build a toll road, you pay the damn
- 26:00Speaker 4: thing off. They actually gave out like $ 800 million, and
- 26:03Speaker 4: then they borrowed money at 10% interest.
- 26:06Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 26:08Speaker 4: That's a really smart guy. Let's pay him nearly a
- 26:11Speaker 4: half a million dollars a year.
- 26:13Speaker 5: The music's playing. I don't know if you can hear it.
- 26:15Speaker 5: I tried to turn the music up for you this time.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:18Speaker 1: No, I don't know.
- 26:18Speaker 5: I don't know what's wrong. This is a great, great
- 26:20Speaker 5: bit that we need to dive into deeper. We need
- 26:23Speaker 5: bumper stickers for the, you know, KSV morning show, pay
- 26:26Speaker 5: off the damn toll road. We need to do all this, man.
- 26:29Speaker 5: Quick break.
- 26:30Speaker 4: A lot more.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Wayne is, I think, going to be on special assignment
- 26:33Speaker 5: after one more segment. So if you're loving Wayne, you
- 26:36Speaker 5: only got a little bit more time to talk to him.
- 26:38Speaker 5: KSV radio, the voice of Texas.
- 26:53Speaker 2: When it's time to replace a roof, some people put
- 26:55Speaker 2: it off until an emergency arises. This is Deb Tejada
- 26:58Speaker 2: from Tejas Roofing, your Houston roofing company.
- 27:01Speaker 8: I understand.
- 27:02Speaker 2: People tell me it's way too complicated and too expensive.
- 27:06Speaker 12: Our customers tell us they wish they would have done
- 27:08Speaker 12: it sooner.
- 27:09Speaker 16: I hear it all the time.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Once the roof is replaced, they wonder why they waited
- 27:13Speaker 2: so long because it's really not that complicated. We show
- 27:16Speaker 2: up on time. We quote you a fair price. We
- 27:19Speaker 2: replace most roofs in just one day. At Tejas Roofing,
- 27:22Speaker 2: we take pride in making the process easy.
- 27:25Speaker 12: The cleanup is phenomenal. People always comment that it looks
- 27:28Speaker 12: like we were never there. And now those customers sleep
- 27:30Speaker 12: better at night knowing your new roof has been installed correctly.
- 27:34Speaker 2: When you know you need a new roof, don't put
- 27:36Speaker 2: it off. Call me now, Deb Tejada at Tejas Roofing.
- 27:39Speaker 14: 281-251-0304.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Estimates are free. 281-251-0304. When you need roofing repairs, a

- 27:54Speaker 5: Hi, y'all.
- 27:54Speaker 20: It's Kathy from Baker Mortgage. You know, with all the
- 27:57Speaker 20: scary stuff we've been through, it's still true that timing
- 28:00Speaker 20: is everything and the time to buy is now. But
- 28:03Speaker 20: don't go looking without a solid pre-approval in hand. And
- 28:06Speaker 20: this includes an application and a detailed discussion about property taxes.
- 28:10Speaker 20: If you didn't have the talk. You know, about property taxes,
- 28:14Speaker 20: you really don't know what you're pre-approved for. That should
- 28:17Speaker 20: make you wonder what else they may have left out.
- 28:19Speaker 20: Mortgages are personal. Let's face it, we're dealing with your
- 28:22Speaker 20: home and your money, and it doesn't get much more
- 28:24Speaker 20: personal than that. When it's the largest transaction that most
- 28:27Speaker 20: people will ever be involved in, imagine having someone on
- 28:31Speaker 20: your side looking out after you.
- 28:33Speaker 5: What a concept.
- 28:34Speaker 20: We audit your closing statement to make sure you're not
- 28:36Speaker 20: paying for things that you're not supposed to. Do you
- 28:38Speaker 20: think your big bank's going to do that? Probably not.
- 28:41Speaker 20: For all of your mortgage needs, call us at Baker Mortgage.
- 28:44Speaker 20: I promise you'll be glad you did. We're at 281-313-MOVE
- 28:48Speaker 20: or go directly to bakermortgage.com.

- 28:54Speaker 8: Hi, I'm Tommy Mello with Garage Door Doctors. My mom
- 28:57Speaker 8: recently moved into a new home with a builder-grade garage door. Noisy, flimsy,
- 29:01Speaker 8: and not built to last, so we're fixing that. Mom,
- 29:04Speaker 8: you're my hero. When I was growing up, she worked
- 29:05Speaker 8: three jobs just to save our house.
- 29:07Speaker 2: And helped you build this company.
- 29:09Speaker 8: Now I'm giving her a beautiful new garage door that's
- 29:11Speaker 8: built to last. The garage is 40% of your home's
- 29:14Speaker 8: curb appeal. When it looks good and it works great.
- 29:17Speaker 19: Life is good.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Thanks, Tommy.
- 29:19Speaker 8: From repairs to upgrades, call Garage Door Doctor today.
- 29:24Speaker 4: And now for the bonus round.
- 29:26Speaker 5: Who imposes property taxes?
- 29:29Speaker 4: State government.
- 29:31Speaker 5: Nice try, but no.
- 29:33Speaker 21: Local governments.
- 29:35Speaker 17: Correct.
- 29:36Speaker 4: And we have a winner. Here's Governor Greg Abbott on
- 29:39Speaker 4: his plan. to control property taxes.
- 29:42Speaker 14: The state of Texas does not impose a property tax.
- 29:45Speaker 14: Only local governments impose property taxes. One of the reasons
- 29:49Speaker 14: why your property taxes are going up is because local
- 29:51Speaker 14: governments are increasing their spending. So the first thing we
- 29:55Speaker 14: got to do is to stop the spending that leads.
- 29:59Speaker 5: To property tax increases.
- 30:01Speaker 14: You should have a say on whether or not your
- 30:03Speaker 14: property taxes go up. It should be a vote that
- 30:05Speaker 14: requires two-thirds vote before any property tax increase can ever
- 30:10Speaker 14: be imposed on our fellow Texans. You're going to be
- 30:12Speaker 14: able to live in your home for the rest of
- 30:14Speaker 14: your lives without being priced out of it.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Protecting homeowners, lowering property taxes. That's Governor Greg Abbott.
- 30:21Speaker 14: Political ad paid for by Texans for Greg Abbott.
- 30:25Speaker 3: Sweating bullets in the dark because the power is out?

- 30:40Speaker 21: From the KSEV Weather Center, today we'll bring partly sunny
- 30:44Speaker 21: skies with high humidity and scattered thunderstorms. The temperature will
- 30:47Speaker 21: reach a high of 91. Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies
- 30:50Speaker 21: and continued humidity with a low of 74. Tomorrow will
- 30:53Speaker 21: be mostly sunny and less humid with a high of 94.
- 30:56Speaker 21: By Saturday, it will be mostly sunny and very warm
- 30:58Speaker 21: with a high of 95. Sunday will also be mostly
- 31:01Speaker 21: sunny and very warm with a chance of a thunderstorm
- 31:03Speaker 21: in a few areas in the afternoon and a high
- 31:05Speaker 21: of 94. With the KSCV Weather Center forecast, I'm AccuWeather
- 31:09Speaker 21: meteorologist Joe Lundberg.
- 31:29Speaker 4: Hey, I'm Sean. Hey, S-E-V. I'm Indole Trefino. I'm the
- 31:33Speaker 4: famous one. And then there's this Craig Cullinay's guy that
- 31:36Speaker 4: no one ever heard of. And we're doing the radio together.
- 31:39Speaker 4: You know, we just met. People think we've been friends
- 31:42Speaker 4: for like 30 years. Someone said, you and that Cullin's, Cullinay's, Cullinay's,
- 31:48Speaker 4: whatever the hell his name is. You guys hang out
- 31:50Speaker 4: together well. And I said, you know, we've known each other, what,
- 31:52Speaker 4: like nine days?
- 31:53Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 31:54Speaker 5: Yeah, it's maybe maybe a little. I think this is
- 31:56Speaker 5: week three. So like 11 days we've known each other.
- 31:59Speaker 4: And when you came to the station, I was I
- 32:01Speaker 4: purposely avoided being here. I said, oh, God, that guy,
- 32:05Speaker 4: you guys coming over. And my guy said, hey, he's
- 32:09Speaker 4: a nice guy. And then I don't think we actually
- 32:11Speaker 4: met until I actually came to the studio.
- 32:14Speaker 21: No, no.
- 32:15Speaker 5: And I told you the story that I opened the
- 32:17Speaker 5: door for you once and you told me not to
- 32:18Speaker 5: make eye contact with you ever again. And that was it.
- 32:20Speaker 5: That was the only time.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I have a thing about eye contact. I don't
- 32:24Speaker 4: want people looking at me.
- 32:25Speaker 5: Can I talk about the thing we were talking about
- 32:26Speaker 5: off the air? Because I do think it's kind of fascinating.
- 32:28Speaker 5: You should be in the Hall of Fame for radio
- 32:31Speaker 5: here in Texas. And you're not.
- 32:34Speaker 4: It's a travesty.
- 32:35Speaker 5: It is a travesty. I think we have to start
- 32:37Speaker 5: demanding that they reconsider that and put Wayne Dolcefino in
- 32:41Speaker 5: the Hall of Fame.
- 32:42Speaker 4: So there is no Texas Television Hall of Fame. And
- 32:46Speaker 4: I've always, look, I'm not going to be around that
- 32:49Speaker 4: much longer. I would like to be in the Texas
- 32:52Speaker 4: Television Hall of Fame. And here's my resume. 27 years
- 32:56Speaker 4: on TV in the biggest TV station in the state.
- 32:59Speaker 4: I was the investigative guy, right? I got sued a lot.
- 33:02Speaker 4: No one has been sued more than me in Texas
- 33:06Speaker 4: television history. And I think that alone.
- 33:10Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 33:10Speaker 4: So I'm going to start the Texas television hall of fame.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Okay.
- 33:13Speaker 4: And I'm going to be the first inductee.
- 33:16Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 33:16Speaker 5: Did you have like a lawyer that you'd contact every
- 33:18Speaker 5: day when you were getting sued that much? Was there
- 33:20Speaker 5: a station lawyer that you had a cell phone for.
- 33:23Speaker 4: Chip Babcock before he was Oprah Winfrey's lawyer in the thing,
- 33:28Speaker 4: but before Oprah, I was his most famous client.
- 33:32Speaker 13: Gotcha.
- 33:32Speaker 4: And Jackson and Walker represented me on a number of lawsuits.
- 33:37Speaker 4: And I love those guys because they were fighters and
- 33:44Speaker 4: they were aggressive and they're offensive, like I am. And
- 33:49Speaker 4: I just, I like those guys. When those guys were
- 33:53Speaker 4: our lawyers, I felt... protected, not safe. Because look, at
- 33:58Speaker 4: the end of the day, you know, I was throwing grenades.
- 34:01Speaker 4: People were suing me. I did one story on the
- 34:03Speaker 4: building department. I think everyone and their mother sued me.
- 34:06Speaker 4: And I had like five different lawsuits. I've been sued
- 34:09Speaker 4: for so many things and I actually enjoy it. So
- 34:14Speaker 4: if you're out there listening and I have pissed you off, Hey,
- 34:17Speaker 4: sue me.
- 34:17Speaker 5: Come after me.
- 34:18Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 34:18Speaker 5: Well, the thing is that means that you're having an
- 34:20Speaker 5: impact to be honest. And this is a weird pivot because,
- 34:22Speaker 5: But I'll throw this pivot out there because I saw it.
- 34:24Speaker 5: Somebody on social media was celebrating the latest vote to
- 34:27Speaker 5: try to impeach President Trump that failed. And I think
- 34:30Speaker 5: Al Green brought it forward.
- 34:31Speaker 4: I'm shocked.
- 34:32Speaker 7: You're right.
- 34:33Speaker 5: I'm shocked, too. The funny thing about stuff like that
- 34:35Speaker 5: is it does mean something you're doing is working. Something
- 34:38Speaker 5: you're doing is having the impact that the people that
- 34:41Speaker 5: are upset don't want you to be having. So they
- 34:43Speaker 5: go the road to try to stop you. Every time
- 34:46Speaker 5: you got sued, someone was trying to shut you up.
- 34:48Speaker 5: And the fact that it didn't work at all is amazing,
- 34:51Speaker 5: but it meant you were over the target every one
- 34:53Speaker 5: of those times.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I told you this before, I think, maybe in
- 34:56Speaker 4: the 11 days we've known each other, but I was
- 34:59Speaker 4: sued by a guy once claiming he couldn't have sex
- 35:01Speaker 4: with his wife anymore because of an interview I did
- 35:04Speaker 4: with him.
- 35:04Speaker 5: I think I remember that, yeah.
- 35:06Speaker 4: It's true. Look it up. It's Folks versus Dolce Fito.
- 35:09Speaker 4: It's F-O-W-K-E-S versus Dolce. Look it up. And he claimed
- 35:15Speaker 4: he couldn't have sex anymore because I had confronted him
- 35:19Speaker 4: on camera. I'm going, dude. And I remember that when
- 35:25Speaker 4: I was deposed, the lawyer tried to make me feel
- 35:28Speaker 4: bad for him not having sex. And I said, I
- 35:30Speaker 4: was in the same interview. I have sex just fine.
- 35:33Speaker 4: So I don't know. It's a personal problem to me.
- 35:36Speaker 4: And maybe he'll sue me again for calling out his name.
- 35:40Speaker 5: Is that just– do they lie about stuff like that?
- 35:42Speaker 5: I mean, I know it's– I don't know what I'm
- 35:43Speaker 5: allowed to say. But do they lie about stuff like
- 35:45Speaker 5: that because they want the emotional money that they're asking
- 35:48Speaker 5: for to go up? Because that sounds insane.
- 35:51Speaker 4: When he sued me, I didn't know there was a
- 35:53Speaker 4: thing called loss of consortium, which is I can't do
- 35:58Speaker 4: it anymore because you were mean to me. And I'm
- 36:01Speaker 4: going– Really? I mean, are we really going to spend
- 36:05Speaker 4: like hundreds of thousands of dollars defending that? And I
- 36:11Speaker 4: was also sued by Lloyd Kelly, the lawyer over hidden cameras.
- 36:15Speaker 20: Wow.
- 36:16Speaker 4: He believed that a hidden camera was a wiretap. And
- 36:19Speaker 4: I said, there's no wire coming out of this camera. Right.
- 36:22Speaker 4: First of all, I don't even know what's in the camera, right?
- 36:25Speaker 4: We did a story once, and we had a hidden camera.
- 36:28Speaker 4: And then about six months later, we were trying to
- 36:31Speaker 4: get video of a Metro bus, right? And we wanted
- 36:35Speaker 4: the camera on the ground looking at the Metro bus
- 36:38Speaker 4: as it passed us, like right by the camera. Well, instead,
- 36:42Speaker 4: the bus ran over the camera, okay? and smashed it
- 36:46Speaker 4: into a hundred pieces. Well, you know, we said, oh crap,
- 36:49Speaker 4: that was a good idea.
- 36:50Speaker 6: Right.
- 36:50Speaker 4: And then a couple of months later I got sued
- 36:53Speaker 4: and they wanted to see the actual hidden camera that
- 36:56Speaker 4: we had used. And we said, well, we'd love to
- 36:59Speaker 4: show it to you, but it got run over by
- 37:00Speaker 4: a bus and the judge sanctioned us. She didn't believe
- 37:05Speaker 4: that we were dumb enough to put a hidden camera
- 37:09Speaker 4: on the road next to a Metro bus and I
- 37:12Speaker 4: will agree with her that we were stupid to do that.
- 37:16Speaker 4: But we didn't do it knowing that we were going
- 37:19Speaker 4: to get sued for it months later. So we had
- 37:21Speaker 4: to go try to reconstruct the camera. We still had
- 37:24Speaker 4: some pieces. And we go, here, Judge. Here's the camera.
- 37:27Speaker 4: This is it.
- 37:27Speaker 5: It got run over.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Have a good time.
- 37:28Speaker 8: Take a look.
- 37:30Speaker 4: We shouldn't elect judges, by the way.
- 37:31Speaker 5: No, we shouldn't.
- 37:32Speaker 4: We should not. No. They should be appointed by a
- 37:35Speaker 4: panel– of Supreme Court folks, we should retain them. We
- 37:39Speaker 4: have so many people that are lawyers, I mean, that
- 37:42Speaker 4: are judges, who, like, never tried a case. When I
- 37:47Speaker 4: hear that, and the problem is, we don't know who
- 37:50Speaker 4: the hell we're voting for anymore, right? We know about
- 37:52Speaker 4: Paxton and Tallarico, right? That's true. I know more about
- 37:55Speaker 4: the Syed guy in Michigan than I do about who's
- 37:58Speaker 4: running for the Supreme Court of Texas.
- 38:00Speaker 5: Yeah, and you know what's funny about that? Only when
- 38:02Speaker 5: someone goes truly viral like Beau French do I know
- 38:05Speaker 5: a little bit more about some of those races that
- 38:07Speaker 5: feel more off the beaten path for most people. I'm
- 38:12Speaker 5: not saying that you and I don't follow something like
- 38:14Speaker 5: Railroad Commissioner a little bit more than the average person.
- 38:16Speaker 4: I have no idea what they do. I know they
- 38:18Speaker 4: do oil and gas, but I have no idea what
- 38:21Speaker 4: they're doing, whether they're scamming. I don't, and I think
- 38:25Speaker 4: it's part of the problem. We don't know Who the
- 38:27Speaker 4: hell is running our government half the time?
- 38:29Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 38:30Speaker 8: Right.
- 38:30Speaker 4: We do know that the people in Harris County, the government,
- 38:33Speaker 4: somebody needs to slap them on the side of the head. Now,
- 38:36Speaker 4: I don't know if you have any Ramsey audio, the commissioner. Right.
- 38:41Speaker 4: One Republican. You know, the Democrats gerrymandered Harris County. So
- 38:46Speaker 4: there's only one Republican.
- 38:47Speaker 6: Right.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Because there used to be two. And they did that
- 38:50Speaker 4: to screw over Jack Cagle and make it a Democratic
- 38:53Speaker 4: thing for Leslie Briones.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 38:55Speaker 4: And so we have only one Republican in a commissioner's
- 38:59Speaker 4: court when at least 48 percent of us, 49 percent
- 39:04Speaker 4: of us aren't Democrats.
- 39:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:07Speaker 4: And when I hear people whining about what Republicans do,
- 39:11Speaker 4: I say, really? Yeah. The hypocrisy is stunning. Yeah.
- 39:17Speaker 5: No, it's amazing to hear people say we need to
- 39:19Speaker 5: change things because Republicans are screwing up. And then you
- 39:22Speaker 5: look at Harris County. and how dominant the Democratic control is.
- 39:25Speaker 5: And you're like, if you really want to change things,
- 39:28Speaker 5: if that's how you're going to vote on a Senate
- 39:30Speaker 5: race or somewhere else, you should out all of the
- 39:32Speaker 5: Democrats from Harris County and vote in all the Republicans.
- 39:35Speaker 5: If that's what you think fixes stuff, let's try that
- 39:38Speaker 5: at a local level.
- 39:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, look, we talked about Beau French for
- 39:41Speaker 4: like nine days because he made a probably off-color comment
- 39:47Speaker 4: about what color people are. Taught some Indian students and
- 39:50Speaker 4: he got all pissed off thinking this isn't America anymore. Whatever.
- 39:54Speaker 4: We need to be talking about what the Democrats do
- 39:57Speaker 4: when they get in power. I mean, they can all
- 40:00Speaker 4: be flowers and sunshine. Let's lower prices. Please tell me.
- 40:06Speaker 4: Can someone tell me a specific thing they're going to
- 40:10Speaker 4: do to lower prices for the middle class? I get
- 40:13Speaker 4: that they want to give poor people a bunch of money.
- 40:15Speaker 4: I get that. Like the bottom, whatever.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 40:17Speaker 4: But the most of the people are in the middle.
- 40:21Speaker 4: What specific things are they going to change?
- 40:25Speaker 9: Right.
- 40:25Speaker 4: Medicare for all sounds great. I love my Medicare. It'll
- 40:29Speaker 4: cost trillions of dollars.
- 40:31Speaker 5: All right.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Where are they going to pull this money out of
- 40:34Speaker 4: their butt?
- 40:35Speaker 5: Well, the thing they always sell their supporters is we're
- 40:38Speaker 5: just going to take a lot more money from the
- 40:39Speaker 5: rich people. And then they fail to do that or
- 40:42Speaker 5: the rich people leave whatever spot that they might successfully
- 40:45Speaker 5: take the money from them at. And either way, they
- 40:48Speaker 5: don't get the money from those individuals. So then they
- 40:50Speaker 5: have to raise taxes on the rest of us. Then
- 40:52Speaker 5: they have to put property tax like that's happening in
- 40:54Speaker 5: Harris County. The property tax jump is crazy. And the
- 40:58Speaker 5: reason for it is their reckless, stupid spending is. and
- 41:01Speaker 5: how they never get the money from the places they
- 41:03Speaker 5: claim they'll get it from.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Scum.
- 41:05Speaker 5: Yeah, they're scum.
- 41:06Speaker 4: They're terrible people. I don't know why I said that,
- 41:08Speaker 4: but I just felt it. No, they are. Hey, I've
- 41:10Speaker 4: got to leave because I'm going– I'm going to share
- 41:13Speaker 4: real quick. I'm going to a doctor because I have
- 41:17Speaker 4: a hernia in my belly button that is turning purple,
- 41:22Speaker 4: and that's not a good sign.
- 41:23Speaker 5: That's not.
- 41:23Speaker 4: Right?
- 41:24Speaker 5: That's a bad sign.
- 41:24Speaker 4: It's not dark purple. It's sort of a light purple.
- 41:27Speaker 4: I'm also getting a new thumb. Did I tell you that? Hey, nice.
- 41:30Speaker 5: Is it going to be like a robotic one?
- 41:32Speaker 4: It's going to be metal and plastic, my thumb. It's true.
- 41:36Speaker 5: That's crazy. That's really true.
- 41:37Speaker 4: I'm getting the surgery. In fact, if you'd like, we
- 41:40Speaker 4: could set up a camera in the operating room.
- 41:42Speaker 5: Of course we should.
- 41:43Speaker 4: You know how people that think they're famous have like, please,
- 41:47Speaker 4: I want to record my surgery going in?
- 41:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:49Speaker 4: I think the thumbectomy or whatever it's called.
- 41:52Speaker 5: Yeah, we should definitely do that.
- 41:53Speaker 4: I think we should have live coverage.
- 41:56Speaker 5: I mean- This station is famous for doing live procedures
- 41:59Speaker 5: on the air, so we should do that again. Yes,
- 42:02Speaker 5: that sounds great.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Hey, by the way, I would like to shout out
- 42:04Speaker 4: the guy, Lieutenant Governor Patrick. He apparently owns this station.
- 42:09Speaker 4: I don't even hang out with him. But he stopped
- 42:13Speaker 4: the ERCOT guy from getting a new deal. The guy
- 42:16Speaker 4: was going to be paid like $ 6 million, the guy
- 42:18Speaker 4: running the electric grid. I mean, it's another example, and
- 42:23Speaker 4: then I'll shut up. of this out-of-control pay for our
- 42:29Speaker 4: government people. Yeah. I mean, they're making way more. Like,
- 42:34Speaker 4: in Galveston, I'm doing stuff, and, like, the city manager makes, like, $ 350, 000
- 42:39Speaker 4: a year because they have so many visitors.
- 42:41Speaker 13: Ridiculous.
- 42:41Speaker 4: I mean, what the hell?
- 42:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:43Speaker 5: What the hell is right. Well, thank you very much, Wayne.
- 42:46Speaker 5: Good luck with your thumbectomy. Another odd thing about us
- 42:49Speaker 5: is we both have hernias in our bellybuttons.
- 42:52Speaker 4: I will show you mine.
- 42:53Speaker 5: I'll show you mine, but mine's not purple. Mine's okay.
- 42:57Speaker 5: We'll talk to you soon. You're going to bounce from
- 42:59Speaker 5: the show. You're on special assignment. Quick break.
- 43:01Speaker 4: I'm going to the doctor.
- 43:03Speaker 5: I always call it special assignment. KSV Radio, the voice

- 45:27Speaker 5: is Craig Colonnades. Wayne Dolcefino is on special assignment. For
- 45:32Speaker 5: the rest, he's at the doctor's office. I like to
- 45:34Speaker 5: call it special assignment because then you don't know what's
- 45:36Speaker 5: going on. But he might be getting a thumbectomy. Do
- 45:39Speaker 5: we think that's true, by the way, Russell, that he's
- 45:41Speaker 5: going to have his thumb cut off and a plastic
- 45:44Speaker 5: thumb put on? You do believe it or you don't?
- 45:46Speaker 9: Okay, you don't.
- 45:47Speaker 5: I didn't believe it either. I don't know what to
- 45:49Speaker 5: think sometimes because Dolcefino... To me, Wayne Dolcefino is one
- 45:53Speaker 5: of the most honest dudes. And he was just talking
- 45:56Speaker 5: about this, so I'll say something quickly and then we'll
- 45:57Speaker 5: get to actual news stuff. Like, we've only truly known
- 46:00Speaker 5: each other for 11 days, honestly. I did meet him
- 46:04Speaker 5: once in the hallway here at the radio station and
- 46:07Speaker 5: opened a door for him. But that was it. And
- 46:11Speaker 5: now we do a show together and we do get
- 46:12Speaker 5: along great. But he's one of the most honest, transparent
- 46:15Speaker 5: people I've ever met. In all honesty, like a lot
- 46:19Speaker 5: of the things that he'll talk about on the air,
- 46:21Speaker 5: off the air, the things he jokes about that you
- 46:24Speaker 5: don't hear about during some of the commercial breaks that
- 46:26Speaker 5: maybe at some point will be on the air. It's
- 46:28Speaker 5: kind of amazing. And it fits with the person that
- 46:32Speaker 5: everybody in this community knows him as the investigative reporter guy.
- 46:35Speaker 5: Like nothing is is really off the table. The man
- 46:38Speaker 5: would probably talk about anything that we think we should
- 46:41Speaker 5: be talking about, which is so amazing. But let's do
- 46:45Speaker 5: a couple different clips that I have. that I'd like
- 46:47Speaker 5: to get to. There's one of Mamdami that's gone quite viral.
- 46:51Speaker 5: And then there's also a, I think it's a CNBC
- 46:55Speaker 5: thing that connects to President Trump's Truth Social post about
- 47:00Speaker 5: interest rates and them going up recently. And I do
- 47:03Speaker 5: think that as far as news that maybe you didn't
- 47:06Speaker 5: pay a whole lot of attention to, but is going
- 47:09Speaker 5: to have a huge impact on you and on me
- 47:12Speaker 5: and on all of us is the Fed interest rate hike.
- 47:16Speaker 5: That happened. That seems very confusing because not only did
- 47:21Speaker 5: you want to kick certain people out of the Fed
- 47:23Speaker 5: because they were unwilling to lower interest rates, keeping them
- 47:27Speaker 5: the same time and again, but now you're actually seeing
- 47:30Speaker 5: the polar opposite of what many of us hoped and
- 47:32Speaker 5: expected would happen occur. So let's play the CNBC announcement
- 47:36Speaker 5: audio first, then we'll go from there. If this actually
- 47:39Speaker 5: does play, which it should be. It should be playing.
- 47:43Speaker 5: Is it up on the 360? Russell, is the audio
- 47:48Speaker 5: up on the 360? Let's try that again. Let's see
- 47:49Speaker 5: if this works. It might be now. And it's interest rates.
- 47:53Speaker 7: Megan Casella's got this. Megan.
- 47:55Speaker 11: Melissa, that's right. This is the first we're hearing from
- 47:57Speaker 11: the president since that decision to raise interest rates. He
- 47:59Speaker 11: just posted on Truth Social saying interest rates in the
- 48:02Speaker 11: United States should be one percent or less because we
- 48:05Speaker 11: are the best credit in the world by far. Our
- 48:07Speaker 11: country is booming with new investment. If we stop trading
- 48:10Speaker 11: with every country that we have a deficit with, which
- 48:12Speaker 11: is most of them, we would make at least $ 1. 5
- 48:15Speaker 11: trillion a year. The word deficit is nothing more than
- 48:19Speaker 11: a fancy word for loss. We are carrying almost every
- 48:22Speaker 11: country in the world, and that cannot go on any longer.
- 48:25Speaker 11: Lower the interest rates for the United States of America
- 48:29Speaker 11: and fast. Now, a little interesting here, Melissa. He seems
- 48:32Speaker 11: to be re-upping at least a loose threat to cut
- 48:34Speaker 11: off all trade with most of the U.S. 's trading partners,
- 48:36Speaker 11: something that we first heard. a couple of weeks ago
- 48:39Speaker 11: in part of this campaign to pressure the Fed to
- 48:41Speaker 11: lower rates. But he wasn't going after Fed Chairman Kevin
- 48:44Speaker 11: Warsh here directly at all. This comes after a White
- 48:46Speaker 11: House spokesperson earlier today called the move rather unfortunate, sort
- 48:50Speaker 11: of soft language there by the White House's own standards
- 48:52Speaker 11: or the standards of this administration.
- 48:54Speaker 5: She's obviously comparing it to what they used to say
- 48:56Speaker 5: about Jerome Powell, because they've had a lot more influence
- 48:59Speaker 5: in putting the current person in charge at the Fed.
- 49:02Speaker 5: And I'll just say this. the rates shouldn't be going up.
- 49:06Speaker 5: You know that, and I know that. They shouldn't be.
- 49:08Speaker 5: And the argument being made, and maybe we'll get E.J.
- 49:10Speaker 5: and Tony on the show again, our economists, to talk
- 49:14Speaker 5: about this more, the argument they're making is that they're
- 49:16Speaker 5: still trying to tamp down inflation, that inflation is still
- 49:19Speaker 5: going up. wildly the wrong way, and raising the interest
- 49:22Speaker 5: rates is going to do that. But at the same time,
- 49:25Speaker 5: we're handicapping our economy once more. And I think the
- 49:29Speaker 5: big thing for President Trump specifically on this, if I
- 49:33Speaker 5: can kind of read the tea leaves and understand, is
- 49:36Speaker 5: so very often— I think at the end of the day,
- 49:40Speaker 5: he's looking at something and saying this is causing the
- 49:43Speaker 5: economy that I'm creating to be worse than it should be.
- 49:45Speaker 5: And that is unfair. And it seems to be happening
- 49:48Speaker 5: all the time, whether it was honestly. And I don't
- 49:51Speaker 5: mean this is exactly the same, but the covid pandemic
- 49:55Speaker 5: hitting when it did and ruining what was a great economy.
- 49:58Speaker 5: And now certain decisions, especially borrowing rate decisions by the Fed,
- 50:03Speaker 5: seem to be holding our economy back from being even better.
- 50:05Speaker 5: And it is true. If we need to make up
- 50:07Speaker 5: some sort of financial thing, a way that we're not
- 50:11Speaker 5: doing it, if we need to replace some of what
- 50:14Speaker 5: might be the additional impact of, say, lowering interest rates,
- 50:19Speaker 5: then the best way to do that is to stop
- 50:21Speaker 5: propping up every other country, stop being the weakest, at
- 50:24Speaker 5: least from a negotiation standpoint, country on the world stage.
- 50:28Speaker 5: We are the strongest country and the strongest economy and
- 50:31Speaker 5: the place everyone wants to do business in. Let's act
- 50:34Speaker 5: like that. I do agree with the president on that.
- 50:36Speaker 5: I also want to play this Mamdami audio that's gone viral.
- 50:39Speaker 5: Let's get to this.
- 50:40Speaker 20: An institute filed a lawsuit looking for your administration to
- 50:44Speaker 20: turn over records related to your deputy mayor and a
- 50:48Speaker 20: meeting with the Iran U.N.
- 50:50Speaker 4: Ambassador that didn't end up happening.
- 50:52Speaker 5: But just what is the delay for these records? Why
- 50:55Speaker 5: not turn them over?
- 50:55Speaker 7: So sorry, I think you're referring to the commissioner of
- 50:59Speaker 7: the International Affairs or deputy mayor.
- 51:01Speaker 20: Your deputy mayor, yeah, Ana Maria Archila.
- 51:05Speaker 7: She's the commissioner for international affairs.
- 51:07Speaker 4: I'm so sorry.
- 51:07Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 51:08Speaker 13: No worries.
- 51:09Speaker 7: I just wanted to make sure that I knew of
- 51:10Speaker 7: the same thing that we were talking about. So our
- 51:13Speaker 7: law department is reviewing this lawsuit, and we are fully
- 51:16Speaker 7: committed to transparency, and we are working to return FOIL
- 51:19Speaker 7: requests in full accordance.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 51:21Speaker 5: Freedom of information requests. We're totally looking to do that,
- 51:24Speaker 5: but we also really don't want to do it. Because
- 51:26Speaker 5: here's the thing, and here's the thing that I love
- 51:29Speaker 5: so much about this. If you want to be transparent,
- 51:32Speaker 5: then immediately be transparent. Does that mean that you fulfill
- 51:35Speaker 5: the entirety of a request that comes in from a
- 51:37Speaker 5: Freedom of Information request?
- 51:39Speaker 3: No.
- 51:39Speaker 5: But you can give us some of it. You can
- 51:41Speaker 5: give some of the information, say we're reviewing what other
- 51:44Speaker 5: information we may or may not be capable of providing.
- 51:47Speaker 5: When you put something into legal channels that make it
- 51:51Speaker 5: more challenging and you make excuses, you're trying to hide stuff.
- 51:56Speaker 5: That's as simplistically as it is, and that's the reason
- 51:58Speaker 5: that these questions are being asked. Of Mamdani, mostly, I think,
- 52:03Speaker 5: because of what he claims he is versus the reality
- 52:07Speaker 5: of what he actually is. He is a politician that
- 52:10Speaker 5: will tell New York and to a certain extent the
- 52:13Speaker 5: rest of the country because people are voting for individuals
- 52:16Speaker 5: who wholeheartedly agree with the philosophies of Mamdani. But anyway,
- 52:22Speaker 5: he will tell someone that he is obviously so different
- 52:25Speaker 5: than every other politician. He's so much more transparent.
- 52:27Speaker 18: He's this.
- 52:28Speaker 5: He's that. He's all these great things. And at the
- 52:30Speaker 5: end of the day, you know and you can see
- 52:32Speaker 5: that he's the exact opposite behind closed doors. It's similar
- 52:36Speaker 5: to the Barack Obama complaints that people often made, because
- 52:40Speaker 5: I still know a lot of people. And these are
- 52:42Speaker 5: mostly people who are very much on the left who
- 52:45Speaker 5: believe that Barack Obama was the most incredible, amazing president
- 52:49Speaker 5: in the history of the country. And you ask them why.
- 52:52Speaker 5: And they'll tell you, because I like the way he
- 52:54Speaker 5: spoke to the public. Like, I like that. Like, do
- 52:56Speaker 5: you know anything about the policy decisions he made? what
- 52:59Speaker 5: happened to health care because of the Obamacare bill and
- 53:03Speaker 5: how it eventually was. But like, do you know anything
- 53:04Speaker 5: about any of the actual impact he had doing his
- 53:08Speaker 5: day to day job? And a majority of people who
- 53:10Speaker 5: will tell you they love Obama will not know that.
- 53:12Speaker 5: They'll just tell you the thing they loved most about
- 53:15Speaker 5: Barack Obama was how he behaved publicly. And that should
- 53:19Speaker 5: be the least important part of what any politician does
- 53:23Speaker 5: for us. And honestly, the big reason I'll say this.
- 53:26Speaker 5: And we're going to end the Facebook for Dolce Fino
- 53:29Speaker 5: because he's not here with us. So this will be
- 53:31Speaker 5: the end of the Facebook broadcast for Dolce Fino's page,
- 53:36Speaker 5: Dolce Fino Consulting. But anyway, I'll just say this. When
- 53:39Speaker 5: you love a politician, you should at least know what
- 53:42Speaker 5: they did with their job, not just how they spoke
- 53:45Speaker 5: whenever a camera was on them. All right, that's it.
- 53:48Speaker 5: Quick break. A lot more coming up. KSV Radio, The
- 53:51Speaker 5: Mob Guys on KSV Mornings, The Voice of Texas.
