  Speaker 1: have the Holy Spirit be able to speak through this

  Speaker 1: mic and be able to go through the listeners' ears

  Speaker 1: and be able to reach their hearts and minds and

  Speaker 1: be able to apply these verses to their lives. In

  Speaker 1: the Lord Jesus Christ's name, I pray.

  Speaker 2: Amen. So, we're going to be in Mark chapter.

  Speaker 1: 4, verse 1 through 15, as I continue my.

  Speaker 2: Walk.

  Speaker 1: And the exercise that I've been able to obtain in

  Speaker 1: recovery has been so beneficial as well, not only physically,

  Speaker 1: but mentally. And I'm giving you some time to get

  Speaker 1: And you not only hear it, but you see it. So,

  Speaker 1: I know we all get distracted in noise. That's why

  Speaker 1: my podcasts are only normally 15 minutes, but that will

  Speaker 1: expand eventually.

  Speaker 2: As I grow, so will the show.

  Speaker 1: So, Mark chapter 4, Jesus tells a story about the
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: seeds that a farmer planted.
• 1:30
  Speaker 2: It's titled, verse 1.
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: Again, Jesus began to teach people near the edge of
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: Lake Gali. A large crowd came together to listen to him.
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: So he went and sat in a boat that was
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: on the water. The crowd of people stayed on the shore.
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: Verse 2. Jesus used stories to teach them many things.
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: He said to them, Listen to me. A farmer went
• 2:02
  Speaker 1: out to plant seeds in his fields. While he was
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: throwing the seeds, some of them fell on the path.
• 2:10
  Speaker 1: The birds came and they ate those seeds. Still a
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: purpose there, right? The birds are going to get fed.
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: Let's get into verse 5. Other seeds fell on ground
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: which had rocks. There was not much soil in that place.
• 2:26
  Speaker 1: The seeds quickly began to grow. Because the soil was
• 2:30
  Speaker 1: not deep. Verse 6.
• 2:34
  Speaker 2: But when.
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: The sun rose, it burned the young plants. They soon
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: died because they had not grown down well into the soil.
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: Verse 7. Other seeds fell along thorn bushes. Those bushes
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: grew up with the young plants growing. They stopped the
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: seeds from growing into strong plants so that the plants
• 3:02
  Speaker 1: could not make any new seeds. When you really think
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: about this and our journeys, which are upbringing and testimonies
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: are all different. You have a low bottom, high bottom,
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: medium bottom. But we all hit some sort of brick
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: wall in life.
• 3:28
  Speaker 2: And we're all.
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: Planted differently as well, whether it be economically, whether it
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: be financially, whether it be spiritually, how we were treated mentally.
• 3:41
  Speaker 2: Emotionally, and the outside abuse as well.
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: So this is why we really need to lock in
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: when we are dealing with others that are sick and suffering. Amen,
• 3:56
  Speaker 1: and no one's better than anyone, but we can have
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: that source of the Holy Spirit that goes over all
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: of our understandings and takes over to where we feel it.
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: It's not necessarily we need a thought, we don't need
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: a burning bush, so to speak. At least I don't.
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: I've seen enough of good and bad. But some seeds
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: fell on good soil. Good strong plants grew from these seeds.
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: Some plants made 30 new seeds. Some plants made 60
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: new seeds. Some plants made 100 new seeds. And before
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: we get into then Jesus said, let's think about that.
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: When you were planted, wherever you restart and you really
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: commit to something, right? The multiplying that has to take
• 5:00
  Speaker 1: place regardless. But having that God, Jesus, and the Holy
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: Spirit tied in, I don't see where you could not
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: benefit in all aspects of your life. Then Jesus said,
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: and this is verse 9, You have ears, so listen
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: well to what I say. And it is titled, Jesus
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: Explains to His Disciples Why He Tells Stories.
• 5:31
  Speaker 2: And he talks about parables. He talks about metaphors.
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: And when Jesus was alone, the twelve apostles and other
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: people who were there asked him about the stories. Jesus
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: said to them, God has left you. Understand how. He
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: rules in the lives.

  Speaker 2: Of his people. But these other people.
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: Only listen to stories. This is so that. They are
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: always looking. But they do not see clearly. They are
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: always listening. But they do not understand.
• 6:20
  Speaker 2: Excuse me.
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: If they did understand. they would turn to God, then
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: God would forgive them. So we all not only have
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: been planted, and we get to make our own decisions
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: as we grow.
• 6:42
  Speaker 2: Excuse me. Get some water. Forgive me.

  Speaker 1: And that's what we all must understand from this as well,
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: is that forgiveness is key. And as Jesus explained in stories,
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: we've got to realize that we are the author to
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: our book as well, even though the plans are lined
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: up with God.
• 7:13
  Speaker 2: We have to play it out.
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: And there could be so many different ways we could
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: take different things that we say, But you have to
• 7:22
  Speaker 1: understand the intent of what this is coming from. The
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit and my spirit is also as well as
• 7:29
  Speaker 1: my teaching, my preaching, my Bible studying, the way I
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: do it. And that's just how I want to transpire
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: this episode with seven minutes to go. You know, I'll
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: never be anything like Jesus. But if I could be
• 7:47
  Speaker 1: a quarter of him, I would say that's a pretty
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: good life. And that's where I want to get to.
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: And if I can get to 50%, that's more glory
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: to God. But I can't boast in this. I take
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: a day off from not doing any Bible study recordings.

  Speaker 1: I feel different. So we're going deeper. But it's not
• 8:07
  Speaker 1: like I wasn't doing anything for my faith or my recovery.
• 8:12
  Speaker 2: It definitely was. But anyways, enough about me. Excuse me.

  Speaker 2: I might be getting sick.

  Speaker 1: Jesus explains to his disciples why he tells stories. When
• 8:26
  Speaker 1: Jesus was alone, the twelve apostles and other people were
• 8:30
  Speaker 1: there asking him about the stories. Jesus said to them,
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: God has let you understand. We've already said that. We've
• 8:46
  Speaker 1: already gone to verse 12. So we'll close out with
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: this one. Jesus explains his story about a farmer's seeds.
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: Then Jesus said to them, you should understand this story.
• 9:00
  Speaker 1: If you do not understand it, you will not understand
• 9:03
  Speaker 1: any of my stories. Verse 14. The seeds are like
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: the message from God. The farmer is like a person
• 9:10
  Speaker 1: who tells people about that message.
• 9:14
  Speaker 2: Verse 15.
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: Some seeds fell on the path. That is like some
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: people who listen... To the message... But then Satan comes...
• 9:22
  Speaker 1: He quickly takes the message away... From their minds... And
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: if we don't stay consistent... If we don't stay... Locked in... Spiritually...
• 9:34
  Speaker 1: With the higher up.
• 9:38
  Speaker 1: As I have five minutes... I also want to take
• 9:40
  Speaker 1: this time... To be able to be thankful... For what
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: the Spirit does.
• 9:45
  Speaker 2: Even though... my mind not always agree.
• 9:49
  Speaker 1: My emotions don't always align but my love is true
• 9:56
  Speaker 1: and my struggle is just as true and I don't

  Speaker 1: look like what I've gone through amen glory to God

  Speaker 1: and I want to just be thankful for the time
• 10:06
  Speaker 1: that I have had with the particular person that I've
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: met in recovery and you know who you are when
• 10:16
  Speaker 1: you do listen to this you are deeply loved you
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: definitely captured me more than that actually I might not
• 10:31
  Speaker 1: say the word right but you definitely made me appreciate
• 10:39
  Speaker 1: life just a little bit more as much as I
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: don't need anybody physically I know that you would be
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: more than just.
• 10:49
  Speaker 2: An add on to me.
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: And even though it happened so quickly and right now
• 10:58
  Speaker 1: there is no status, I'm just very grateful for the chapter.

  Speaker 1: I do apologize for maybe I crossed not only the line,

  Speaker 1: but just wasn't very considerate.

  Speaker 2: And I'll only strive to continue to do better.

  Speaker 1: That's all I can do with two years in. And

  Speaker 1: you helped me get to that two-year mark because I
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: met you right before I hit my two years. So,

  Speaker 1: let's see where we're at when I hit three, right?

  Speaker 2: And I hope to meet you.

  Speaker 1: I hope to see you as much as possible until

  Speaker 1: that time, too.

  Speaker 2: But I ain't expecting nothing. I've already given it up

  Speaker 1: I've already let the Holy Spirit take over and.

  Speaker 2: It's amazing what Jesus can do.

  Speaker 1: Glory to God. It's amazing what the Holy Spirit can

  Speaker 1: do and what He's doing right now. Being not only
• 12:09
  Speaker 1: a guide but a protector, comforter. Because people will let
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: you down We get tired of going to certain places.
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: We get tired of doing certain things. Or we get
• 12:28
  Speaker 1: too attached to doing certain things. We don't give time
• 12:32
  Speaker 1: to the Lord. It's a relationship over religion. The Ember Show.

  Speaker 1: And Jennifer, I love you to death. And I just

  Speaker 1: want you to know the best is yet to come.

  Speaker 1: And these slogans, they don't just have no meaning. Because
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: words have power and I believe we've gone through a lot.

  Speaker 2: Of the worst.

  Speaker 1: And I'll even pick you on the boring days and

  Speaker 1: the argumentative days. But I know that it has to be,

  Speaker 1: we both have to be comfortable with our processes.

  Speaker 2: And we've got to meet.

  Speaker 1: You have agreed, I have agreed. And it's just, we
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: need to just get this money right. And the Lord
• 13:18
  Speaker 1: will make the way. He's the way maker. so just
• 13:22
  Speaker 1: gotta do my part you gotta do yours and it
• 13:27
  Speaker 1: will be what it's supposed to be what we make
• 13:32
  Speaker 1: it we create because we're from a creator and the
• 13:36
  Speaker 1: more that's revealed I just want anyone that's listening to
• 13:41
  Speaker 1: this now I was a believer for 20 years and
• 13:45
  Speaker 1: I was running away from my calling but I don't
• 13:48
  Speaker 1: believe it was just written No reason. I was able
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: to obtain a lot of. How to. Attack the enemy.
• 13:57
  Speaker 1: Which is not that hard. All you got to use
• 13:59
  Speaker 1: is the name of Jesus. And they flee.

  Speaker 2: But it can go deeper than that. If you want
• 14:05
  Speaker 2: to take it to the spiritual realm.
• 14:08
  Speaker 1: And.

  Speaker 2: No matter if you believe in God. God believes in you. And.

  Speaker 1: Once you realize that. Once you're connected to that. However
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: you find that way with the relationship with Jesus is
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: a lot easier. But I understand everybody has their methods.
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: Everybody has their way.
• 14:32
  Speaker 2: And I respect it. I respect it.
