- 1:57in the history of detective fiction. Her Master Detective, The Night's Curious Adventure,
- 2:02Substitute Bride, and The Mystery of the Night. Carry You take your
- 2:19hands on me. What are you doing me? Nick? Did the young
- 2:35man here to see you? There? He's no offend you. Hello nick
- 2:38Ellen, Marvin Well, Helen is good to see her again. What brings
- 2:42you to this part of the country? Came east to get married? Nick?
- 2:46Well? Congratulations? Wait a minute, I'm afraid your congratulations are a
- 2:49little premature. What's the matter? I don't know. I can't find her.
- 2:53I can't find her. But what on earth do you mean by that?
- 2:55Look at slank this Nick? I was seventh and I have been engaged
- 2:59for about four years. For the past three years she's been living in South
- 3:01America with friends of her family. She was due back in this country yesterday
- 3:06on the galley, so I came on from Chicago to meet her. Her
- 3:09boat got in ahead of schedule and my train was late, so we missed
- 3:13connections, and already told her I was coming in spite of that. She
- 3:16was gone by the time I got to the dock last night. Didn't she
- 3:20leave any message for you? No, not a word. It's sad and
- 3:23she has no friends in this part of the country that she could stay with
- 3:27or didn't anyone at the boat? No? Where as she went apparently not
- 3:29Nick, the stewardess, says, the boy brought her a note. As
- 3:32soon as she read it, she got dressed and went ashore. There was
- 3:36a taxi waiting for her, and she went off in it. Oh later
- 3:38an expressman called for her trunks. Perhaps she went to a hotel hotel?
- 3:42But why should she do that when I told her that i'd meet her at
- 3:45the boat. No, Nick, something has happened to her, I'm sure
- 3:47of it. Nick. The morning payment, miss Alice Heavens registered at the
- 3:52Hamilton Top Hotel. Would that be the same girl? Hey, let me
- 3:54see that really quick. Well, and she did go to a hotel.
- 4:02See what a cool I was worrying you, Nick, I think nothing of
- 4:05woul Allen. Glad you found her. Well, if you don't mind,
- 4:09Nick, I think I will go right ahead. I don't know how anxious
- 4:11you are his the ear. Hey, look, Nick, why don't you
- 4:14come with me? I'd like very much to have you meet her. All
- 4:16this seems highly at the time. Come on, Nick, come on,
- 4:18I want you to meet her. You'll like her all right if you insist.
- 4:21But I've heard it said the three is usually a crowd, especially after
- 4:25two of them and separated for three years Taxi Taxi, second and fifth rabbits.
- 4:50Well, Ellen, I gat it that you feel that I visited to
- 4:55the young lady was not a complete success. Nick. Something's wrong. I
- 4:59don't know what, so I noticed. That's why I stayed until you left.
- 5:02She's changed. I can't put my finger up, but she's different somehow.
- 5:05Three years is a long time out of some change. It'd be quite
- 5:09natural. But it isn't that kind of change, Nick. Doesn't she look
- 5:12the same? She doesn't. She doesn't. You mean you don't think she
- 5:15is alas Evans? She must be, Yeah, and you're not sure.
- 5:21I wish her father were here. He'd know immediately whether she's his daughter or
- 5:25not. Where is he Chicago? I don't know. He told me he
- 5:29was meeting the book, but as far as I know, he hasn't shown
- 5:30up. She said she hasn't seen him, and he probably was delayed in
- 5:34getting away. Look, you you don't suppose anything could have happened to him,
- 5:38do you? You know? Like so many rich men, he always
- 5:40carried several hundred dollars with him, and it's possible, of course, Ellen.
- 5:44Why is there anything distinctive about his appearance? Shortish man, stout white
- 5:49hair. Oh yeah, he wore old fashioned side with although she should make
- 5:54him easy to identify him. I'll have Lieutenant Riley get in touch with the
- 5:57Chicago Police and see if they know anything about No Good. Now, I'll
- 6:00have Patsy make the run of the hospitals here in town. I'll send Penny
- 6:02to the terminal in the face is if you can think of any information about
- 6:05him there. We ought to find out something that way, and I think
- 6:09my next step will be to visit the galley at her duck see what I
- 6:12can learn there. The main reason I'm taking her to see miss Evans pursus,
- 6:28and I want you to tell me whether or not Seeese the girl or
- 6:30made the trip up in South America with him? I understand, son.
- 6:32Are you the purser of the gallier probably had as good a chance to see
- 6:35her as anyone? Oh why yes, sir, But none of us saw
- 6:39her very much. She took ill right after we sailed and died in no
- 6:43room almost dan tire. Would you say you'd be able to identify her positively?
- 6:46Oh yes, sir. I had an excellent memory for faces, and
- 6:49Jay was a real look as she was. Here's her hotel man by Joseph.
- 7:08Yeah, take this element three please, this is her card rooms right
- 7:21across the corridor. Here. Oh, I'll come in, mister Cato,
- 7:30thank you. You of course know this, gentleman. Miss sevens Why,
- 7:38Oh, it's hardly fair to expected to remember me, mister Catta. She
- 7:44was so ill every time I saw her that I doubt she never really got
- 7:46a good look at me the old voyage. Oh, I of course,
- 7:49now I know who you are. You're one of the officers of the Gallia
- 7:54became U from South America together. That's right, mom, See sir,
- 7:57she knows me right enough when you I've seen you somewhere. If if I
- 8:01hadn't been so sick, I'd have remembered you at once. I see,
- 8:05well, Miss Evans, our call is really in the nature of business.
- 8:09First, I found a value of a lot of jewelry left behind in the
- 8:11ship, and I was called in to help find the owner as it was
- 8:13near your cabin. We come to you first. I haven't missed any of
- 8:16my jewels, but I'll let you know if I do. Thank you.
- 8:22Have you had any word from your father yet? No, it's not a
- 8:24word. Do you suppose anything's happened to him? What did it look like,
- 8:28Miss Evans? Why he was? I'll show you a picture you can
- 8:35tell better about that. See, young Cardiff, that's my thought. Are
- 8:41you a detective? Yes, miss I am, Then you must find him
- 8:46for me. I don't care what it cost very well, I'll see what
- 8:50I can do. Should we go pushure? He? Oh? Yes,
- 8:52sir, good day, miss and good luck yet, goodbye and thank you.
- 8:56I'll let you know as soon as I learned anything. This Evans good
- 8:58day? Well? Pers Was that the miss Evans who made the trip with
- 9:03you in the Oh? Positively, sir, I know her anywhere. You're
- 9:07sure there's no question whatever, Sir. I'd swear to it on a stack
- 9:11of bibles of foot tire would. I couldn't find a thing, Nick,
- 9:26There's nobody in the hospital who enters to the description of mister Eaven. I
- 9:28hardly expected you kind of things. We had to be sure we did the
- 9:33Chicago police know anything about him? I probably said they had no report of
- 9:35anything having happened to him. There. Oh, Penny hasn't come in yet.
- 9:39Hey, Nick, I couldn't find any traces of the old boy at
- 9:43the tamil. But I did find something at the ferry. But you find
- 9:46oh, that'll keep nick right now. I got a taxi waiting outside,
- 9:48and the driver of the taxi's the fellow who took Alice Evans from the boat
- 9:52to the hotel last night, and he knows something. How'd you find him?
- 9:56All? The stewardess on the gallia pointed him out to me, afraid
- 10:00if I tried to bring him in here, I'll scare him. I already
- 10:03asked him a lot of questions. I'll go outside and talk to him myself.
- 10:11A driver, I'm the carter. Tell what I ain't interested, but
- 10:16I am. I'm interested in what you can tell me about a young lady
- 10:18you picked up at the galley last night. He took her to the Hamilton
- 10:22Park hotel. Didn't you all right? So what if I did? Look,
- 10:26you'll save yourself time and trouble if you'll answer my questions. You picked
- 10:31up about eight o'clock, didn't you? Yeah? About that? How long
- 10:33a drive visit to the hotel about a half hour maybe if the lights was
- 10:37against you, forty five minutes? And how does it happen that you didn't
- 10:39register in at the hotel till ten o'clock. Well, I where'd you go
- 10:43between the time and up the gally and the time you meet the hotel?
- 10:46I stopped over at the house in twenty second Street for a while. Did
- 10:48miss Evans leave the cab? Yeah? She said she wanted to see Winslow's
- 10:52daughter said they went to school together. It was David Winslow's house. You
- 10:56stop dead, yeah, I said, so, didn't I she did?
- 11:01Thanks here, and so pay for watching the meter and for the information.
- 11:05Okay, so long find out anything, Nick, notpany? What does it
- 11:16hope he got at the ferry. Well it's like this, Nick. I
- 11:18found one of the ferry guards who remembered seeing an old guy with big white
- 11:22side whiskers get on the ferry about the time evans train must have got in
- 11:26from Chicago. See, well, this guard got such a kick out of
- 11:28the whiskers that he watched for the old guy to get off the boat at
- 11:31the other side, say, could get another gander at him? And did
- 11:35he? Nah? The old guy didn't get off. What are you sure
- 11:39sure? And the old guy wasn't on the boat anywhere. That could sound
- 11:43as if something might have happened to him during that fairy. Kay O,
- 11:46Well, Nick, I've got some news. Mister Evans was alive this morning.
- 11:50That's so, how do you know? I'll tell you. I went
- 11:52to see mister Evans banker this afternoon to see if he had any word from
- 11:54him. He showed me a check that mister Evans had made out this morning,
- 12:00check for fifty thousand dollars, dated this morning. Yes, it was
- 12:05made out to John Smith and endorsed by David Winslow. David Winslow, you're
- 12:09sure about Ellen? Yes? Sure? Why here? Why? Last night?
- 12:13A girlh claims to be Alice Sevans, but apparently he isn't. Stops
- 12:16off at Winslow's house. I'm away to the hotel. Mister Evans disappears last
- 12:20night, and he had a check made up by him this morning. Turns
- 12:22up indorsed by Winslow him self. Hey wait a minute, it does look
- 12:28suspicious, suddenly does Patsy. Tomorrow morning, you and I are going to
- 12:33call on mister Winslow. Very good of you to see me, mister Winslow.
- 12:48I'm Nick Carter, the detective. Yes, I've heard of you.
- 12:52Mister got him. Miss Bowen, my assistant, what can I do with
- 12:56humans? Cut him? Mister Winslow, you know James only very slightly.
- 13:01You acquainted with his daughter Alice? None, it got her and not I
- 13:05see. Did a check of mister Evans recently passed through your hands? By
- 13:11yes? It did? I catch one of his checks yesterday. Did you
- 13:13know that mister Evans disappeared the day before the date? I'm not checked,
- 13:18but he did. You don't see? Would you be in a position to
- 13:22know if the signature on the check were a forgery? Well, the signature
- 13:24were genuine, all right, And mister Smith presented for Fayman the check in
- 13:28the amount of fifty thousand dollars. I naturally sent to Chake to miss Evans,
- 13:31paying for verification. They said it was good, so I paid Smith
- 13:35the money. I see you said a few moments ago that you didn't know
- 13:43Alice sevens? Yes, I did. But didn't she call here night before
- 13:46last? Why? Yes? She did? She calls through my daughter the
- 13:50a classed me to school. My daughter was not at home, so she
- 13:54talked my wife for a while and bath, I thank you for your troubles
- 13:58to myself, not at all. Come on, passy time, we're running
- 14:01along Okay, Nick, good morning with Winsaw. Good morning today, mister
- 14:05winsor the baby us it. Patsy had intended to believe what he said,
- 14:11even if I didn't know that he has an excellent reputation in banking circles here
- 14:13in town. What do you telling him? Certainly tuned to stake forward enough
- 14:16to see that man going in the house next door. Oh yes, what
- 14:22about it? May? I saw that man at court a few weeks ago,
- 14:26charged with murderous assault, and now we found him going into the house
- 14:31next to the little windflows Patsy, I want you to get back to the
- 14:35office immediately. Tell Anny to see what he can find out about that house.
- 14:37The addresses eight thirty two West twenty second Street. I want to know
- 14:41more about that place. Talk clear, Nick, When did you see that
- 14:56interest was eight thirty two West twenty second Street. Rally, No, Nick,
- 15:01that's your curious thing. But the boy strict up a boom this morning,
- 15:03and when we searched him, we found a slip of paper in his
- 15:07pocket with that shaven dress on it. Well, Rally hould him. I'll
- 15:09be right down. I don't know I tell you how many times you got
- 15:22to keep On, saying that you don't know who pushed the man off the
- 15:24ferry, who kidnapped his daughter, where she is now, or anything about
- 15:28it? Now, I tell you now who's the girl? Was staying at
- 15:31the Hamilton Park Hotel under the name of Evans? Where's the Hammerfon Park Hotel?
- 15:35All right, Baker? All right, yes, I must have you
- 15:39all wrong. I'll say you have you live at eight thirty two West twenty
- 15:43second Street. Well, I don't exactly now who does live there? Oh?
- 15:46How should I know? Where's David windsowd Right next, who's David Wentzlow?
- 15:52All right, Nick, I'm through with Baker. Now the fellow I
- 15:56thought it was all right, Baker. Guys waiting for you just outside the
- 16:00door. Take it back to your ten okay, I harpy, Ut what
- 16:03you're looking for? Cat? Nick? What did you find? Riley?
- 16:10Baker thought he told me in loving but his answers were disclever as he thought
- 16:12they were. Actually he told me that Evans was thrown off the ferry into
- 16:17the river, and that he was picked up in a rowboat. Because waiting
- 16:18for him. Well, I also discovered that he knows David Winslow and that
- 16:22he knows what goes on at eight thirty two West twenty second, Kay,
- 16:25all of which, well, not conclusive evidence tells me I'm on the right
- 16:27f nice gool Nick, what's Nicked Riley? I want you to release this
- 16:33man Baker at once. We'll release him Nick from Berg. But why I
- 16:37want to be sure the rest of the gang knows I'm on the trail.
- 16:40The first thing Baker will do when he gets out of here will be to
- 16:41tell him. Leil undoubtedly makes some move to try and stop me, and
- 16:45that may bring him out in the open. Anyways, you find out,
- 16:56well, ty Nick, whoever's running that gang's keeping it pretty secret. None
- 17:00of my old pals know anything about it. All I could find out it
- 17:03is that the addresses the hideout of what they call the Secret six. Yeah,
- 17:07I ex convict the car they call the butler takes care of the place
- 17:10during the day and keeps it cleaned up. That for me, the man
- 17:12Patsy and I saw what about David Winsory, Yeah, and nobody connects his
- 17:17name with it nowhere. You must be extremely clever or I'm extremely much of
- 17:22a dope. Nah, you know, dope, Nick, Well, dope
- 17:25Hey, where's Patsy. She asked me to bring her back some peanuts.
- 17:29Oh, she wanted to see that girl who was posing as Alice sevens at
- 17:30her hotel. Anyway, I didn't realize it. It was so late she
- 17:34should have been back by now. Found this note at a desk when I
- 17:38came in about lunchtime. Yeah again, Nick, girl who calls herself Alice
- 17:44seventh, just called to say she had information on I found his disappearance.
- 17:48When I told her you want here, she asked me to go over and
- 17:51she'd give it to me and I could get it to you. We'll take
- 17:53a run over to the hotel and see what she wants. See you at
- 17:56the office when I get back, Patsy. That was almost five hours ago.

- 18:33it. I think I better get going in Wait a minute, Thank it's
- 18:37Cotter's office. Yeah, who's this? If you want to see your girlfriend
- 18:41Patsy again, caught it, keep out of the Evans case. What do
- 18:45you mean if you make another move to try and find out what happened to
- 18:49old man Evans or his daughter? You can kiss your girlfriend goodbye. It'll
- 18:56be Curtins for But look, Nick, just because the Secret Six meets here
- 19:12doesn't mean that they'll be keeping Patsy a prisoner here. I know that there's
- 19:17a couple of members of the gang go in here a few minutes ago.
- 19:18Dinway, Yeah, sure we did. What if I can't make them tell
- 19:22me what they downlooked? Patsy? My name isn't Nick Carter? Oh whatever
- 19:26you say, Nick? You say that man they call the butler's upstairs in
- 19:29the first floor. Now, yeah, he's writing in the back parlor.
- 19:33And that's it in the basement. Quick. Oh, but the door's locked,
- 19:34Nick, it's got a special Townsend lock on it. That'd won't be
- 19:38the first door with the Townsend lock on it. That my little big clock
- 19:47there quiet? Now, wonder way this door goes? Oh that leads into

- 21:07probably in the room where the gang meets at the end of this whole.
- 21:10That's Winslow. Quick, Miss reveins yes, what of the Butler's boys sound

- 21:49you better get this Butler Chap tied up and gang before it comes to
- 21:52whatever you saying, mister Reveens. Yes, you know why you were kidnapped
- 21:56and brought here? Why, Yes, mister Carter, they want my fortune.

- 24:22to turn you over to the place. She's all right, we did nothing
- 24:26to hurt tall lucky for you. Tell me whenso? Why did you throw
- 24:33Evans off the ferry boat? It wouldn't have been easier to have kidnapped him
- 24:36someplace else. I had the fairies watched for several days. Found at the
- 24:41time of night and a bit of cold weather. We've been having a rare
- 24:44deck of the ferries, almost always deserted, so we planned it that way.
- 24:48We had other plans ready in case that didn't work. Oh, Nick,
- 24:52am I glad to see you, Patsy? You are right? Anybody
- 24:56hurts you? No, Nick, they're a little rough, but they got
- 24:57as good as they gave me. But that black Eyele, the guy on
- 25:00the left, good for you, Patsy. Hey Nick. After I got
- 25:04Patsy loose, I looked in some of the other rooms and I found this
- 25:07name in the front room up there. Say she's Marion Blake. My name
- 25:11is Marion Blake. You're not Marion Blake. You're Alice Evans. No,
- 25:15No, I'm not Alice Evans. I'm Marian Blake. Aren't you saying that
- 25:19you're Maryon Blake because you're afraid the gang will fetch your father if you admit
- 25:22you are really Alice Evans. You're quite safe now, miss Evans. Oh,
- 25:26mister Evans, you've come in here, please, yes, my father
- 25:30here, I'm free. Yes, miss here he is, Penny. You
- 25:38better go get rallied. You'll find him waiting just around the corner. You
- 25:41can take over. Now tell me where you were, mister Cutter. I
- 25:45can never thank you enough for what you've done me. Who you are,
- 25:48our lives hellis and I You don't owe me anything, mister Evans, Getting
- 25:52rats like these out of circulation gives me more satisfaction than anything else ever.
- 25:56Could this is your room? You two wait here to like call you?
- 26:11Have you else? Good morning, miss Evans, Oh, good morning,
- 26:15mister Carton. Have you discovered anything about my father? I was about to
- 26:21ask you the same question. Have you heard from him? No, mister
- 26:23Carter, nothing. Well, let me be the first to bring you the
- 26:26good news. Good news. Yes, your father has been found. He's
- 26:33been found. Yes, he was kidnapped and imprisoned by some crooks who were
- 26:37trying to steal his portune. Oh, my poor father. Where was he
- 26:42found in a basement room where the gang was keeping him prisoner? Has he
- 26:48told you what happened to him? Oh? Yes, he told us everything.
- 26:53Everything. By the way, miss Evans, I wrote a friend with
- 26:57me this morning. I thought you might like to meet her. May I
- 27:02ask her in. Yes, Yes, of course, Helen. Will you
- 27:06bring the young lady in? OK? Do you recognize this young lady?
- 27:11Miss Evans? All right, mister Carton, I'm gonna drop that miss Evans
- 27:17stuff. Now I see you know the whole story, practically the whole story.
- 27:21Yes, who, Elie? Have you met the real Marion Blake?
- 27:23No? I haven't. My goodness, she does look like me, doesn't
- 27:27she? Yes? But she didn't fool me there. No, I suppose
- 27:30I was crazy to believe that I could fool a man with as much in
- 27:33love with you as he is. Miss Evans resemblance is certainly close enough to
- 27:37fool almost anyone else, though, why she even't sounds like me? Miss
- 27:41Blake? Whose idea was it to substitute you for Alice Evans? My husband
- 27:45he was the head of a Chicago gang, so a picture on the paper
- 27:49and the idea came to him by coming back from South America seemed to be
- 27:52the idea of setup for carrying out the scheme, so we came east to
- 27:56do it. We knew Winslow from a couple of jobs we did for Chicago.
- 28:00Didn't it occur to your husband when you threw my father off the cherry.
- 28:04He might get numonia in the icy water and die. We didn't worry
- 28:08about that, when you'd live long enough for what we wanted. Why you
- 28:11call Alice? Alice? Take it easy? But did you hear what?
- 28:15That's all over with there? The police will take care of her. Now.
- 28:18I'm not usually blood thirsty, but I hope she gets the electric chair.
- 28:22The chair is hardly the sentence for attempted extortion, Alice. By the
- 28:26time she gets out of jail, she'll no longer be young and pretty,
- 28:30and with the marks that prison will leave on earth, she'll never again be
- 28:33able to devil for you. This was another strange experience of Nick Carter,
- 28:52master detective called the Substitute Pride or Nick Carter and the Mystery of the Night
- 28:56Burry, another of the curious adventures of Nick Carr. WHI you're brought to
- 29:00you regularly at this time by W O R Mutual And now, Nick,
- 29:04what strange adventure are you and Patsy going to tell us about? Next week?
- 29:07Next week, I want to tell you about a case that never seemed
- 29:11to be twice the same. What do you mean by that, Nick,
- 29:12Well, what Nick means is this the case shouted out as a suicide,
- 29:17turned into a murder, and then disappeared entirely, and I disappeared with it
- 29:22till all this sounds very screwy to me? Are you sure you're talking about
- 29:26next week's story? Nothing else? But but I'm afraid that if you want
- 29:30any more details, you're don't have to listen to the story itself, and
- 29:33if you're wise, you won't miss it. With one of our breads that
- 29:34it is for now. So long, folks, so long, and so
- 29:40long to you both until next week and the strange adventure you have just heard.
- 29:44Nick Carter was impersonated by Lone Clark, Patsy by Helen Chot. Original
- 29:48music was played by Lou White. The entire production was written and directed by
- 29:52Jack McGregor. Next week, at the same time, listen to another curious
- 30:17experience of Nick Carter, entitled Disappearing Cops, Nick Cornor and the Mystery of
- 30:22the Apartment House Murder. The story is a copyrighted feature of Street and Smith
- 30:33Publications, Incorporated. The Return of Nick Carter is produced in the studios of
- 30:37w R and is broadcast over most of these stations every Wednesday evening at eight
- 30:41thirty Eastern wartime. This is mutual welcome back. Well, another good case
- 31:04for Nick Carter, and we turned out a listener comments. Joel says,
- 31:11I was thinking, just as the body on the slab ended that this program
- 31:17was more like pulp fiction book than most radio dramas. Then you come in
- 31:22and make the same observation. Great stuff to hear. I'm sorry, mister
- 31:27Moto has finished. I enjoyed that very much. Well, thanks so much,
- 31:32Joel. Well, mister Moto. Of course, there are episodes that
- 31:34were not played just because they were in existence at the time of the program,
- 31:38so there's always the hope it comes back. But I'm glad folks enjoyed
- 31:42it. It was one of those ones there. Coming in, I was
- 31:45a little nervous, but I'm glad it worked. But definitely, Nick Carter
- 31:51has a very strong pulp fiction feel to it, and we see that in
- 31:56really most of these episodes, and I don't think that that's a bad thing.
- 32:01You know, it really gives it something that's unique where it's pulp fiction,
- 32:07but it's not quite to the extreme of say the Shadow, So you
- 32:13know, it's nothing wrong with the Shadow, but it you know, basically
- 32:16puts it in another genre. But this is a series I think is a
- 32:21lot of fun. Let's see other listener comments and feedback. Had one listener
- 32:28say that he really did not enjoy my voice and offered to find out how
- 32:35much it would require to buy me off from actually doing the podcast, how
- 32:38much you would have to donate. My response basically that I talk about old
- 32:46time radio at the beginning of the show and at the end because I love
- 32:52it, not for money. It's been my pleasure to share my love of
- 32:53radio with listeners around the world and to talk to them like friends and share
- 32:57what I've learned and know. We speak to people who are far from home
- 33:02and bring a little bit of home to them and share the fun of listening
- 33:08the shows as well as our thoughts and insights, not just Mom, but
- 33:13other listeners. We really appreciate that listener relationship. So if he's got spare
- 33:19money around to try and bribe podcasters, I suggested might want to just donate
- 33:24the money to the hungry. And then at a comment regarding our one thousand
- 33:29and fiftieth episode from Joan, thank you for bringing us the Crime Crime Club.
- 33:34I really enjoyed The Crime Club episodes as I've listened to them for a
- 33:37few years now. It'd be nice if you'd add this to your list of
- 33:38shows, but I expect your list is getting pretty long as it is.
- 33:45Thanks so much, Joan and listeners can take a look at the list of
- 33:49shows and we don't make a ton of updates. We'll hopefully get one made
- 33:54by the time this airs, but the list is getting along. The big
- 33:58thing with a pro like The Crime Club is that they don't have a consistent
- 34:06hero from show to show, and really that makes them great for specials.
- 34:13So I have quite a few episodes of suspense. The Crime Club is the
- 34:19only series where I'm looking at all of the episodes to eventually play one of
- 34:25these days, because I like to have a special every fifty episodes or so.
- 34:30And if I be sure I'm on those anthology programs with a detective in
- 34:37them, be sure that we'll be able to continue to do that for a
- 34:43long long time to come. All right, Well, that will actually do
- 34:50it for today. We will be back tomorrow with the final part of the
- 34:54Lamar Matter, and then join us afterwards for Doctor Tim. In the meantime,
