MARLI’S MONDAY MOTIVATION - NIKA & SEBASTIAN SWART (RAISED FUNDS TO ATTEND SPORT COMPETITIONS ABROAD)
Marli spoke to 15-year-old Nika Swart, a grade 9 learner, who raised R13 000 to attend a dance competition in Croatia by selling homemade ice-cream. Her 17-year-old brother Sebastiaan, who is in matric, joins the conversation to share his own experience of raising funds to attend a squash trip abroad to Malaysia and Hong Kong a few years ago by walking dogs and pet sitting. These siblings prove that limited resources shouldn’t stand in the way of you and your dreams, and you are never too young to start your own small business!
