- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 3: Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 4: Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 1: On air, on air, on air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:09Speaker 5: It's in L.A. It's Adela on Kiss. What is going
- 0:13Speaker 5: on with human beings and why don't we sleep well
- 0:16Speaker 5: or enough? I'm with you.
- 0:17Speaker 2: It's a real problem.
- 0:20Speaker 5: I know I didn't sleep well and I know I
- 0:21Speaker 5: didn't sleep well because I looked at my score last night.
- 0:23Speaker 5: I got a 53.
- 0:24Speaker 4: See?
- 0:24Speaker 1: It's toxic.
- 0:27Speaker 2: It's toxic to look at my score.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Who.
- 0:31Speaker 2: What human being that works your sleeps well?
- 0:34Speaker 5: Tanya, do you?
- 0:35Speaker 6: Yeah, I do.
- 0:37Speaker 7: I'm telling you it's this pregnancy pillow that I've had.
- 0:40Speaker 7: It's the best thing I've ever had in my life.
- 0:42Speaker 6: I told you you should try it.
- 0:43Speaker 5: It goes between your legs. No, it's my brain. My
- 0:45Speaker 5: brain doesn't stop. My brain runs on a loop. Too
- 0:49Speaker 5: many things. I go through lists.
- 0:50Speaker 8: My dreams were intense last night. Mine were listy, too.
- 0:53Speaker 8: I was thinking of things I had to do in life. Me, too.
- 0:56Speaker 8: I wasn't really sleeping. I was awake the whole night.
- 1:00Speaker 5: What I have done is I have notepads and pens
- 1:02Speaker 5: everywhere in the house, including bedside. And I will scribble
- 1:06Speaker 5: it down in the middle of the night to stop thinking.
- 1:08Speaker 2: About the list.
- 1:09Speaker 5: Because sometimes I'll think, oh, I've got to do this.
- 1:11Speaker 5: So remember to do this when you wake up. But
- 1:13Speaker 5: that's not good. So I just write it down and
- 1:14Speaker 5: try and put it out of my head. Michaela, are
- 1:16Speaker 5: you a good sleeper?
- 1:17Speaker 9: I can be, but I haven't been lately.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Something's going on.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Something's in retro.
- 1:21Speaker 4: I agree. I agree.
- 1:23Speaker 5: What's going on with the moon, the stars?
- 1:24Speaker 3: It was the rain this week. We're just not used
- 1:26Speaker 3: to it.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Humans don't sleep well. It used to be something you'd
- 1:30Speaker 2: brag about. Ah, slept three hours. I'm still on my game.
- 1:33Speaker 5: No.
- 1:33Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Don't want to do that anymore.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Anyway.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Hi, there's some positive news this morning.
- 1:38Speaker 6: Kind of like a musician. Musician is Jason. Cause that's
- 1:40Speaker 6: what they do. They wake up in the middle of the.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Night and like sleep though.
- 1:43Speaker 5: They sleep till noon. They do. I, no matter what
- 1:46Speaker 5: time I go to sleep, I can't sleep till noon or,
- 1:50Speaker 5: you know, on a weekend either.
- 1:51Speaker 10: No.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Mercury goes into retrograde Saturday.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Put your seatbelt on.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:56Speaker 5: Good luck.
- 1:56Speaker 3: That'd be a rocky one.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Here's some good news. Kiss FM is 51 years old.
- 2:01Speaker 5: It debuted today back in 1975. That's adorable.
- 2:04Speaker 8: You think they would have waited five more days and
- 2:06Speaker 8: done it on 1027?
- 2:08Speaker 2: I think it was a whole FCC thing. They had
- 2:10Speaker 2: to go. They had to do it.
- 2:13Speaker 5: Scattered showers this morning. We got that rain, as Cisney said.
- 2:16Speaker 5: You'd think that you sleep better with the rain. Highs
- 2:19Speaker 5: only around 70 this weekend. Looking kind of perfect. Now,
- 2:23Speaker 5: I just want to tell you that you want to
- 2:25Speaker 5: be here for something special. At 740. It's a tradition.
- 2:32Speaker 5: It is a public service. It is called Ryan's Roses.
- 2:37Speaker 5: Often I'll talk to people out in the wild and
- 2:38Speaker 5: they'll say, my kids love it. They'll say, your kids
- 2:41Speaker 5: are five and seven. What do they get out of it? Well,
- 2:44Speaker 5: I don't know. I haven't thought about that, but they
- 2:46Speaker 5: love it. I love it too.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 5: As a public service. So listen to this. I mean,
- 2:51Speaker 5: there's a, it's bedbugs, a trail of bedbugs. Bedbugs are,
- 2:56Speaker 5: they're there. And she found bedbugs in their bed. And
- 3:00Speaker 5: then she found out her best friend also has bedbugs.
- 3:04Speaker 5: So she thinks her husband was sharing the bed with
- 3:07Speaker 5: the best friend who has bedbugs and brought the bedbugs
- 3:09Speaker 5: over to their bed.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Sketch.
- 3:12Speaker 5: That goes down at 740 this morning. To me, I
- 3:15Speaker 5: don't even need much.
- 3:18Speaker 2: That's too suspicious. To be a coincidence. I don't think so.
- 3:22Speaker 7: If your best friend has bedbugs, if my best friend
- 3:25Speaker 7: had bedbugs, I would think that I would bring the
- 3:27Speaker 7: bedbugs into the house.
- 3:28Speaker 6: Do you know what I mean?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Why would you be in your best friend's bed?
- 3:31Speaker 6: Sometimes I sit on her bed. If she's like cleaning
- 3:33Speaker 6: her room, when.
- 3:34Speaker 5: I go over there, I don't think dudes, he, the
- 3:37Speaker 5: husband is sitting on her bed while she's doing a chore.
- 3:41Speaker 7: I know, but I'm saying, why wouldn't she think that
- 3:43Speaker 7: she's the one that brought the bed?
- 3:44Speaker 3: But they do spread.
- 3:46Speaker 2: But I don't think she goes over to sit on
- 3:49Speaker 2: her friend's bed.
- 3:49Speaker 5: She would know.
- 3:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 2: They do spread. Yeah, they're contagious. I mean, they're like
- 3:53Speaker 2: a wild rash.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Ew.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Ew.
- 3:58Speaker 5: KSFM, a film day replay.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Rihanna, Ryan Seacrest with you. All right, let's just go
- 4:03Speaker 2: around the room. What's on your mind?
- 4:04Speaker 5: Last night, on my mind, I took my bath and
- 4:06Speaker 5: I learned that I had the definition for karma all
- 4:09Speaker 5: wrong all this time.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I was listening to a book on.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Tape, Sad Guru. Very relaxing.
- 4:13Speaker 11: Wow.
- 4:14Speaker 5: And he said, you know, we have a big mistake.
- 4:17Speaker 5: We think karma... Is you, you know, you do an
- 4:20Speaker 5: action and it's a scorecard.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:23Speaker 2: And you put out bad, you get bad back.
- 4:24Speaker 5: You put out good, you get good back. Not true.
- 4:26Speaker 2: That's all wrong.
- 4:27Speaker 5: It's not.
- 4:28Speaker 6: What is it then?
- 4:29Speaker 2: It's not scorecard. It's not keeping score. It means action.
- 4:33Speaker 2: The definition of karma is just action.
- 4:35Speaker 5: And you're just supposed to act with intent, but don't
- 4:38Speaker 5: think of it as a score that you're going to
- 4:39Speaker 5: get the same thing back right away.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Right. Okay.
- 4:43Speaker 3: I understand that.
- 4:44Speaker 5: I was wrong because I used to say I subscribe
- 4:48Speaker 5: to karma.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:49Speaker 5: What you put out, you get immediately back. What you
- 4:51Speaker 5: put out, you get right back in exact terms almost.
- 4:53Speaker 6: Every time I bring my shopping cart back, I'm like,
- 4:54Speaker 6: that's good karma.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you're going to get something back today.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 4:57Speaker 2: It's not like that. It's not transactional like that.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Shoot.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Now, Sisney, you have this on your mind, a big
- 5:01Speaker 2: dilemma for Halloween.
- 5:03Speaker 8: Yes, you know, my street gets completely blocked off unofficially,
- 5:06Speaker 8: but it does get blocked off and it turns into
- 5:09Speaker 8: a massive party. And in the past, the Dodgers have
- 5:12Speaker 8: been in the playoffs or they've been in the World Series.
- 5:14Speaker 8: And I would wheel out our TV and like create
- 5:17Speaker 8: like an outdoor living room in the front yard and
- 5:19Speaker 8: have the game on. And parents that would be trick
- 5:21Speaker 8: or treating with their kids would love it because they
- 5:23Speaker 8: can watch a little bit of the game while they're
- 5:25Speaker 8: trick or treating.
- 5:26Speaker 3: So this year, I don't have that.
- 5:28Speaker 8: Um, still love you Dodgers, but I'm wondering, should I
- 5:31Speaker 8: get a DJ to have in like the front yard?
- 5:34Speaker 2: You need a DJ.
- 5:35Speaker 5: You need candy to give out to kids.
- 5:40Speaker 3: It's for the vibe.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Where do you put a DJ?
- 5:44Speaker 3: Just right there on my front lawn next to Mr. Skelly,
- 5:46Speaker 3: 12 foot tall.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Are you competing? Is your street competitive? This sounds like
- 5:50Speaker 2: a competition.
- 5:50Speaker 5: This sounds like my friends who want to outdo their
- 5:53Speaker 5: other friends for the one-year-old birthday.
- 5:55Speaker 2: And it's not about the birthday. It's about them.
- 5:57Speaker 3: It's not a competition, but my street does go all out.
- 6:00Speaker 8: I mean, there's people that work in the industry, I'm assuming,
- 6:04Speaker 8: because they have full productions on their front driveway.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I mean, it looks like a scene out of Jurassic Park.
- 6:11Speaker 2: So you're trying to keep up with the neighbors?
- 6:13Speaker 8: I want to kind of keep up with the neighbors
- 6:14Speaker 8: and have a fun... You hear it from down the street, like,
- 6:17Speaker 8: what's that music? And then you get down, it's like, oh,
- 6:19Speaker 8: it's Halloween, fun DJ music.
- 6:21Speaker 3: And then you keep carrying it.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I'm going to give you a couple of ideas here. Mm-hmm.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Why don't you get one of our DJs, like a
- 6:27Speaker 2: Kiss DJ to roll out?
- 6:28Speaker 6: I would love that.
- 6:29Speaker 5: All right. So who's available? Tanya, who you got on
- 6:31Speaker 5: the list?
- 6:31Speaker 3: I got to reach out.
- 6:32Speaker 6: Who do I got?
- 6:33Speaker 5: DJ Santana.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Who's the guy at the pumpkin patch the other night?
- 6:35Speaker 1: Santana. All right, Santana.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Get Santana out and I'll tell you what else we'll do.
- 6:38Speaker 1: What?
- 6:38Speaker 5: We're going to send Ronnie with the vehicle to get
- 6:40Speaker 5: people free gas. Ronnie's going to be on your street
- 6:43Speaker 5: giving away free gas. for Halloween to the families.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Yes, I love that. Everybody has candy. Candy and gas
- 6:51Speaker 2: and a Kiss DJ, you're going to.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Win the competition.
- 6:53Speaker 3: How funny would that be?
- 6:54Speaker 8: Handing out gas cards and putting them in the kids'
- 6:57Speaker 8: trick-or-treat bags.
- 6:58Speaker 5: I'm going to start getting my friends for their birthday parties. Ronnie,
- 7:01Speaker 5: could you do my friend's birthday party and do free
- 7:03Speaker 5: gas for everybody?
- 7:04Speaker 2: Or just random tickets?
- 7:07Speaker 5: I think he's available.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Okay, so you say yes. Like, I need to do this.
- 7:09Speaker 3: I was thinking it's going to be too.
- 7:10Speaker 10: Over the top.
- 7:11Speaker 5: I think it's absurd. Oh, okay. And way over the top.
- 7:13Speaker 5: But if your street is like that, and we've got
- 7:16Speaker 5: access to our DJs, bring it. Okay, I'm going to
- 7:20Speaker 5: do it. 22.7, Kiss FM. I keep hearing about this.
- 7:23Speaker 5: So we asked Sisney to get some details.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Have you heard about the.
- 7:26Speaker 5: I mean, it's like black market in and out delivery
- 7:29Speaker 5: services for the burgers.
- 7:32Speaker 1: So.
- 7:33Speaker 5: Traditionally, In-N-Out doesn't do a third-party delivery.
- 7:37Speaker 1: No.
- 7:37Speaker 2: They don't let Uber Eats, they don't let DoorDash deliver
- 7:40Speaker 2: their food. And I know why. Why? They don't want
- 7:44Speaker 2: the integrity of the food to slip.
- 7:46Speaker 3: It's quality control.
- 7:47Speaker 1: It is.
- 7:48Speaker 5: And you know what? I do love them for being
- 7:51Speaker 5: that bold. Because, you know, the burger, it's soggy. The
- 7:54Speaker 5: fries are soggy. It's not the same experience. It's the
- 7:57Speaker 5: same thing with pizza. I mean, you order pizza and
- 7:58Speaker 5: you get it delivered. It's not the same thing. It's
- 8:00Speaker 5: soggy and it's cold.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Same as sushi.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Anything delivered, it's just not going to be the same.
- 8:04Speaker 5: Slides around and everything. But I guess what people are doing,
- 8:07Speaker 5: and Sisney has details on this, they're going on Facebook
- 8:10Speaker 5: and they're freelancing in-and-out delivery, Sisney, right? Uh-huh.
- 8:14Speaker 8: Facebook marketplace where you can go and sell old furniture
- 8:18Speaker 8: and things that you don't want anymore.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Now people are selling their services online.
- 8:22Speaker 8: And they're charging anywhere from $ 20 to.
- 8:25Speaker 3: $ 50 just for the delivery.
- 8:26Speaker 8: So that's not even including the price you're going to
- 8:28Speaker 8: pay for the actual food. But let me just tell you,
- 8:31Speaker 8: we go to In-N-Out frequently with our family. It's like
- 8:33Speaker 8: a nice treat for the kids. They love it.
- 8:36Speaker 3: That In-N-Out line.
- 8:37Speaker 8: Is 45 minutes minimum.
- 8:40Speaker 3: It doesn't matter what time of day it is.
- 8:42Speaker 8: It will be a 30-minute to 45-minute wait just to
- 8:45Speaker 8: get your food delivered. So a busy person that doesn't
- 8:49Speaker 8: have the time once they're in and out.
- 8:50Speaker 3: And wants to pay the extra 20, 30 bucks.
- 8:53Speaker 5: I mean, I think the real question is, and think
- 8:55Speaker 5: about anything in life, you know, you got the Disneyland
- 8:58Speaker 5: fast pass, you get stuff you can pay extra for it.
- 9:00Speaker 5: What would, where is that threshold of how much you
- 9:04Speaker 5: would pay for convenience for something, for anything? It's like
- 9:07Speaker 5: a front of line or the burger, like you're buying convenience.
- 9:11Speaker 2: You're buying time essentially.
- 9:14Speaker 3: It would depend on the situation, I guess.
- 9:16Speaker 8: It would be like if you're stuck at home and
- 9:18Speaker 8: you're hosting people over and you're like, I just need
- 9:19Speaker 8: to get a bunch of burgers from In-N-Out.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I'm just going to do this this one time.
- 9:22Speaker 2: The thing is, you don't know this third-party person. They
- 9:24Speaker 2: could just take the burgers.
- 9:25Speaker 6: And the money.
- 9:26Speaker 2: That's what's happening.
- 9:26Speaker 8: And that has happened, actually. A reporter actually tried this
- 9:30Speaker 8: to see how the services was.
- 9:32Speaker 3: And they got robbed.
- 9:33Speaker 8: They sent the money through Zelle, and then the person
- 9:35Speaker 8: just went and ghosted them and never showed up with
- 9:38Speaker 8: the food. So it's not completely worked out. And of course,
- 9:41Speaker 8: In-N-Out is not like... you know, endorsing this. Yeah, they're
- 9:45Speaker 8: not endorsing this. They're not saying we can protect the product. No,
- 9:47Speaker 8: because this is a third party. This is the reason
- 9:49Speaker 8: why they don't do these food delivery services.
- 9:52Speaker 5: I saw one person ordered from Arizona to Mexico 200
- 9:56Speaker 5: bucks for the burger.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Don't they have them in Arizona now? I thought they like.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Arizona to Mexico.
- 10:03Speaker 5: They wanted the third party to drive it to Mexico
- 10:05Speaker 5: 200 bucks. Wow. And did they do it?
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I don't know if they got it, but they did.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Now, when I go to Sony, where we've got a
- 10:13Speaker 5: real fortune set, that Culver City in and out, the
- 10:17Speaker 5: parking lot is so small, the line backs out onto
- 10:20Speaker 5: Washington and screws up traffic for the whole area.
- 10:23Speaker 3: That's how the one in Van Nuys is.
- 10:24Speaker 8: The Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys Boulevard one, it goes into
- 10:27Speaker 8: the neighborhood, like, you know, like to leave the driveways open.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Like, it's crazy how long these lines get.
- 10:32Speaker 2: But I love it because In-N-Out knows how good they are.
- 10:34Speaker 2: We will wait.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:36Speaker 5: They know it. We will wait. 2.7 Kiss FM.
- 10:40Speaker 2: We're nine out.
- 10:41Speaker 5: Nine days from Halloween. Honestly, if you want your Jack-O
- 10:44Speaker 5: lantern to look good Halloween night, it is too early
- 10:47Speaker 5: to carve. I was looking at this, especially.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Here with the weather. That's another key component. Southern California.
- 10:54Speaker 5: They say the sweet spot, and this seems late because
- 10:57Speaker 5: I like to enjoy the Jack-O lantern. The sweet spot
- 11:00Speaker 5: is October 27th. to carve your pumpkins next Tuesday. Has
- 11:06Speaker 5: anybody done it yet?
- 11:07Speaker 6: No, for that reason.
- 11:08Speaker 8: I can't even have the pumpkins out. We had to
- 11:10Speaker 8: paint our pumpkins this year so the squirrels won't eat them.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Squirrels love it. They really do.
- 11:14Speaker 3: And poor Max, and he didn't paint his pumpkin completely.
- 11:17Speaker 3: And so his was the chosen one.
- 11:19Speaker 5: And it's like destroyed. Stolen by the squirrels.
- 11:21Speaker 8: But then I was like, look, at least you're feeding
- 11:23Speaker 8: a squirrel. And he was like, all right, I guess
- 11:24Speaker 8: that's cool.
- 11:26Speaker 5: Look at you with your mom lessons. That's so good.
- 11:28Speaker 7: By the way, we carved our pumpkins and had to
- 11:29Speaker 7: toss them three days later.
- 11:31Speaker 5: It was too early. Here's a quote to frame up
- 11:33Speaker 5: your day. This can really steer you in the right direction.
- 11:37Speaker 5: Their rear view mirror is... is for glancing, not staring.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Don't obsess about what you cannot redo.
- 11:44Speaker 6: This is hitting me hard.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Take a note.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Move on.
- 11:47Speaker 5: You're on. Kiss.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Raven Linnaeus, Kiss FM, after seven.
- 11:52Speaker 5: Her husband, the wife thinks here in this case, for
- 11:55Speaker 5: Ryan's Roses, was in her best friend's bed who had
- 11:57Speaker 5: bedbugs and brought the bedbugs back to their house. Cheating. 740.
- 12:06Speaker 8: Well, a powerful Pacific storm dumped heavy rain overnight across
- 12:09Speaker 8: Southern California, which remains under flood watches through this afternoon.
- 12:15Speaker 8: At least two flight attendants suffered neck and back injuries
- 12:18Speaker 8: last night when a United Airlines flight bound from Hawaii
- 12:22Speaker 8: to LAX encountered severe turbulence. LA officials unveiled the Vermont
- 12:28Speaker 8: Bus Rapid Transit Corridor Project, which will create a dedicated
- 12:32Speaker 8: bus lane connecting South LA and Los Feliz via Vermont Avenue.
- 12:37Speaker 8: And the NBA season tipped off last night with the
- 12:41Speaker 8: Lakers and.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Clippers both winning their home openers.
- 12:44Speaker 8: The Lakers over Golden State and the Clippers over Sacramento.
- 12:47Speaker 2: 22.7 KISS FM.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Just stop everything and get to this with Michaela because
- 12:54Speaker 5: it's going to prove a point that people do not
- 12:57Speaker 5: know what courtesy is anymore. They don't respect courtesy. their
- 13:01Speaker 5: word of commitment and dating is the worst.
- 13:07Speaker 2: It's the worst. I don't want to be negative, but
- 13:09Speaker 2: it's the worst.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Everything you just said was negative.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I know.
- 13:12Speaker 5: I don't want to be negative, but I want to
- 13:14Speaker 5: be pragmatic. I want to be real. And Michaela, who's
- 13:18Speaker 5: thought she was onto something with that. Dating is not
- 13:21Speaker 5: blind stage show.
- 13:22Speaker 2: She did.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Right.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 13:24Speaker 2: And met this guy, Rusty.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Remember we had, she goes down, she gets on stage,
- 13:27Speaker 5: she does this game show, whatever, and she meets a guy,
- 13:32Speaker 5: picks the guy. She's the picker.
- 13:35Speaker 2: We meet Rusty.
- 13:36Speaker 5: He comes on the air. Remember she told us about Rusty?
- 13:37Speaker 5: They hit it off.
- 13:38Speaker 10: Right.
- 13:39Speaker 2: And now he's flaked. He's totally flaked. What happened, Michaela?
- 13:43Speaker 9: So we try to plan two dates and day of,
- 13:47Speaker 9: he's canceled both times, but he just said that he's
- 13:50Speaker 9: so sick. So I think they do last like seven
- 13:54Speaker 9: to ten days cold. So I'm like, it was a
- 13:56Speaker 9: Sunday and then a Sunday that he canceled both. So
- 13:59Speaker 9: I feel like I have to give him the benefit
- 14:00Speaker 9: of the doubt. If we don't hang out this weekend,
- 14:03Speaker 9: then I think.
- 14:04Speaker 3: I just got to call it.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Okay.
- 14:06Speaker 2: What are the plans that are set for this weekend?
- 14:08Speaker 9: We're supposed to go to dinner.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I liked him. I thought he was great. We got
- 14:13Speaker 2: a chance to have him on the air here.
- 14:13Speaker 5: I liked him. It was great.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I think, yeah, give him the benefit of the doubt.
- 14:17Speaker 2: You know, if you are sick, maybe.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Leave a voice note so we can hear your sickness
- 14:25Speaker 5: just for a little bit of credibility.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Oh, Sunday.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Why bloody Sunday?
- 14:35Speaker 9: Well, we were supposed to go to this like a
- 14:37Speaker 9: flea market and then go grab pizza and then ice cream.
- 14:42Speaker 6: That was our Sunday, but it didn't happen. Because he's sick.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Dating puts on the pounds. That's the other problem.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, you're so right. That first year, really.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I'm in much better shape when I'm not with somebody.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Loneliness is much more fit.
- 14:57Speaker 8: We just all get a little soft that first year.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's what you do.
- 15:02Speaker 5: You do pizza and ice cream.
- 15:03Speaker 2: You order ice cream.
- 15:04Speaker 5: And wine.
- 15:05Speaker 6: Lots of drinking, yeah.
- 15:07Speaker 2: So what's better, fit and lonely or not?
- 15:11Speaker 5: Well, for me, I don't know. All right. Given the
- 15:14Speaker 5: benefit of the doubt, keep us posted. But dating is
- 15:17Speaker 5: the worst sport in L.A.
- 15:18Speaker 1: It's hard.
- 15:19Speaker 2: All right, friends. About to get into this Ryan's Roses.
- 15:22Speaker 5: He brought bedbugs back from another woman, his wife's best friend.
- 15:27Speaker 5: Sounds pretty clear to me. Ryan's Roses, the next thing
- 15:30Speaker 5: we'll do. First, Ronnie, this morning, Arcadia, your assignments. How
- 15:35Speaker 5: are you, buddy?
- 15:36Speaker 4: I'm good.
- 15:37Speaker 5: How are you?
- 15:38Speaker 10: Good.
- 15:38Speaker 5: We have plans for you to give away free gas
- 15:41Speaker 5: on Sissanese Street for Halloween. She's going to have a
- 15:43Speaker 5: DJ and free gas Halloween night.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:45Speaker 5: We'll explain later.
- 15:46Speaker 4: Oh, Sissanese House is always so fun, so I'm happy
- 15:49Speaker 4: to go there.
- 15:50Speaker 5: Okay, good.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Now, break it down.
- 15:51Speaker 5: Arcadia, you're going to surprise people with the prices of gas.
- 15:55Speaker 5: We're just showing up. Random act of kindness to give
- 15:57Speaker 5: you some free gas. So go ahead, Ronnie.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Yes and there's a lot of vans here so these

- 16:30Speaker 2: Kyle, you're on Kiss FM right now. How are you?
- 16:33Speaker 10: Oh, my God.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 16:36Speaker 4: I'm just on the way to work.
- 16:39Speaker 2: What do you do for work?
- 16:41Speaker 4: I work at the Del Taco on Foothill.
- 16:44Speaker 2: What is the most popular order right now at your
- 16:46Speaker 2: Del Taco?
- 16:50Speaker 11: I mean, most people just get, like, the regular tacos. Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Do they steal the picante sauce, the salsa, the sauce,
- 16:58Speaker 2: the spicy sauce?
- 16:59Speaker 5: It's very popular, yeah.
- 17:01Speaker 4: I mean, I usually put one or two in every
- 17:03Speaker 4: bag I give so they don't even have to ask.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I got you. Well, listen, on your way to
- 17:08Speaker 5: Del Taco, Kyle, that's Ronnie. We're showing up to random
- 17:12Speaker 5: gas stations this morning in Arcadia and filling up tanks
- 17:15Speaker 5: of gas. So we're going to buy your gas this morning, bro.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Dude, thank you so much.
- 17:21Speaker 10: That's actually so cool. I have nothing in the tank.
- 17:24Speaker 5: My light was on.
- 17:24Speaker 4: I was turning in on the way.
- 17:26Speaker 10: That's crazy.
- 17:28Speaker 2: My pleasure. We got you. We'll hook it up.
- 17:31Speaker 12: Thank you.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Thank you so much, Ryan. Ryan Seacrest.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Kyle, thank you, man, for chatting with me. You have
- 17:37Speaker 5: a good day at Del Taco today, okay? Yeah, you too.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Come by.
- 17:41Speaker 10: Foothill.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Foothill Del Taco. Ask for Kyle. He puts salsa in
- 17:45Speaker 2: the bag.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you.
- 17:47Speaker 5: All right, man. Take care.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Hello.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Ronnie, you've won another one over.
- 17:54Speaker 11: I sure have.
- 17:55Speaker 4: I feel like more people are about to come up
- 17:57Speaker 4: to me because they see our vans right here. Okay,
- 18:00Speaker 4: so there's a lot of people pulling in.
- 18:02Speaker 2: We'll be in Arcadia this morning, free gas. We'll check
- 18:04Speaker 2: in later, okay?
- 18:06Speaker 4: Talk to you guys soon.
- 18:06Speaker 5: All right, KISS FM. 102.7 KISS FM.
- 18:11Speaker 2: It's time for Ryan's Roses.
- 18:15Speaker 5: As a last resort, if you cannot get to the
- 18:18Speaker 5: bottom of the feeling you have that your spouse, your
- 18:21Speaker 5: partner's cheating on you, after you try and discuss it
- 18:25Speaker 5: with them, come to us for peace of mind. It's
- 18:28Speaker 5: essentially a public service called Ryan's Roses.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Michelle, good morning. It's Ryan Seacrest.
- 18:34Speaker 10: Hey, good morning.
- 18:36Speaker 5: Let's go. It says here, your husband gave you bedbugs.
- 18:39Speaker 5: You found out your best friend also had bedbugs. Bedbugs.
- 18:42Speaker 5: So you think that your husband spent time in your
- 18:45Speaker 5: best friend's bed and brought the bedbugs over. Am I right?
- 18:47Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 10: Yeah, you're right.
- 18:50Speaker 2: How did you find out that your best friend.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Had the bedbugs?
- 18:53Speaker 10: So here's the thing. My husband came home from a
- 18:56Speaker 10: business trip in Chicago and was like itching all over
- 18:59Speaker 10: saying the mosquitoes in Chicago were really bad. And, you know,
- 19:03Speaker 10: I didn't think much of it. But a few days later,
- 19:06Speaker 10: our bed was infested. And it was disgusting. And then
- 19:12Speaker 10: my friend Chloe posted on Instagram bed bug quarantine day
- 19:16Speaker 10: three FML. So at first thought, what a coincidence. But
- 19:21Speaker 10: then I realized that, yeah, maybe this isn't a coincidence.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Has there been other signs that you would think that
- 19:29Speaker 3: your best friend is hooking up with your husband?
- 19:32Speaker 10: Well, I've seen him kind of like, I don't know,
- 19:36Speaker 10: check her out. Before she is very pretty. I didn't
- 19:41Speaker 10: think much of it. But again, it's I didn't file it.
- 19:46Speaker 10: And he just constantly is asking about her.
- 19:48Speaker 11: That's the other thing.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Did you go to your husband and go head on
- 19:53Speaker 2: with this.
- 19:55Speaker 10: You know what I did he's sticking to his story
- 19:57Speaker 10: though I mentioned that Chloe had bed bugs and isn't
- 20:00Speaker 10: this a coincidence and he's like I'm not surprised bed
- 20:03Speaker 10: bugs are everywhere.
- 20:04Speaker 5: What no they're not they're not really everywhere alright uh Yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 5: I don't know how he justifies this one.
- 20:12Speaker 2: We'll make the call to your husband next. 102.7, KISS FM.
- 20:17Speaker 5: So we're into the Ryan's Roses call right now. If
- 20:21Speaker 5: you just got here, very simple setup. Michelle and Sherman Oaks,
- 20:25Speaker 5: we just spoke with her. She's on the line. She
- 20:27Speaker 5: says her husband gave them bedbugs. Then she found out
- 20:31Speaker 5: her best friend also has bedbugs. She thinks it's too
- 20:34Speaker 5: much of a coincidence. She asked her husband about it,
- 20:36Speaker 5: and he said, oh, they're everywhere. They're not everywhere. Okay, Michelle,
- 20:40Speaker 5: I need you to say, Ryan, you have my permission
- 20:42Speaker 5: to call, and then his name. Go ahead.
- 20:45Speaker 10: Ryan, you have my permission to call.
- 20:49Speaker 5: We're going to do it.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Be very quiet. Let's see what we can find out, okay?
- 20:53Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Hello?
- 21:06Speaker 3: Hi, can I speak to Steven, please?
- 21:10Speaker 8: Hi, Stephen.
- 21:11Speaker 3: My name is Lola. I'm calling from the Valley Flores.
- 21:13Speaker 3: How are you doing this morning?
- 21:14Speaker 4: I'm good.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Great.
- 21:18Speaker 8: You know, we actually deliver here locally and surrounding areas
- 21:20Speaker 8: and we're offering a free promotion. That's why I'm calling.
- 21:22Speaker 8: It's a free dozen red roses that you can send
- 21:24Speaker 8: to anybody that you'd like. I don't need cash or
- 21:26Speaker 8: credit card info or anything like that.
- 21:28Speaker 2: They're free.
- 21:30Speaker 11: I think you might have the wrong number.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I don't know. No, no, no, no, no.
- 21:33Speaker 8: They're beautiful. It's just a dozen red roses. We do
- 21:36Speaker 8: this promotion about once a month. And so you've been selected.
- 21:38Speaker 8: You can send these to anybody and we can have
- 21:40Speaker 8: them out by lunchtime today.
- 21:43Speaker 11: Oh, okay.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Wow.
- 21:45Speaker 11: Seriously.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Okay. Yes.
- 21:46Speaker 11: Sounds cool.
- 21:47Speaker 5: Okay.
- 21:48Speaker 3: And what's the name of the person you want to
- 21:49Speaker 3: send to?
- 21:52Speaker 11: Yeah, you can send them to Michelle.
- 21:55Speaker 5: Wonderful.
- 21:56Speaker 3: And what do you want to put on the card
- 21:57Speaker 3: for Michelle?
- 22:00Speaker 11: Um, just write to my love bug. It's a, it's
- 22:04Speaker 11: like an inside joke. She'll get it.
- 22:06Speaker 8: Okay.
- 22:06Speaker 6: To my love bug.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Gotcha.
- 22:11Speaker 5: Well, Steven, your voice is being broadcast on the radio
- 22:16Speaker 5: and I've got your love bug, Michelle on the phone. Interesting.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Use the love bug as your word in the note,
- 22:25Speaker 5: because we're calling about the bed bugs that you have
- 22:28Speaker 5: at home. Does that sound familiar?
- 22:32Speaker 11: Yeah. How do you know about the bed bugs?
- 22:36Speaker 5: Because your wife thinks that you're cheating on her with
- 22:39Speaker 5: her best friend who also has bed bugs.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Is that the case?
- 22:43Speaker 10: Are you sleeping with Chloe?
- 22:45Speaker 1: What?
- 22:47Speaker 11: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Wait.
- 22:49Speaker 11: Babe, why are we on the radio? Is that a
- 22:52Speaker 11: serious question?
- 22:53Speaker 4: I'm confused.
- 22:54Speaker 11: I'm sorry.
- 22:57Speaker 10: You pick up bedbugs the same time Chloe gets them?
- 23:00Speaker 5: No way.
- 23:00Speaker 11: Babe, I just got back from Chicago.
- 23:04Speaker 10: I mean, have you been to Chloe's house? Yes, briefly.
- 23:12Speaker 11: Why?
- 23:13Speaker 5: I knew it.
- 23:13Speaker 10: I knew it.
- 23:15Speaker 5: So how did you get bedbugs if you went to
- 23:17Speaker 5: Chloe's house to bring them back over?
- 23:20Speaker 11: Look, I forgot. Chloe bought a treadmill. She asked me
- 23:23Speaker 11: to help carry it inside. That's it. I grabbed a
- 23:26Speaker 11: side box. I walked it in that room off of
- 23:28Speaker 11: her kitchen. I was there for like 10 minutes, but
- 23:30Speaker 11: I don't know. Maybe that's how we both got them.
- 23:32Speaker 11: I mean, maybe they were on the box. They're everywhere.
- 23:35Speaker 5: Your cadence and your pacing sounds guilty. Are you having
- 23:38Speaker 5: an affair? Did you get the bed bugs from the bed?
- 23:40Speaker 1: No.
- 23:42Speaker 11: Look, I totally forgot about it.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Look, this is.
- 23:45Speaker 10: No.
- 23:46Speaker 1: No.
- 23:49Speaker 11: Absolutely not.
- 23:50Speaker 10: No, I think you're lying. I think you have been
- 23:52Speaker 10: sleeping there and brought the bed bugs.
- 23:54Speaker 11: Home on your clothes. All right.
- 23:58Speaker 4: You know what?
- 23:58Speaker 11: This is getting out of hand. All right. I got
- 24:00Speaker 11: to go. I don't want to be on the radio,
- 24:02Speaker 11: but we should talk. I'll be home at like seven tonight.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Michelle, why don't you talk to your friend again?
- 24:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 10: I'm going to go see Chloe right now and see
- 24:13Speaker 10: what is going on.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I'm with you. Go.
- 24:18Speaker 11: Look, I'm not cheating.
- 24:22Speaker 4: I know.
- 24:22Speaker 11: I'm not. Give me a break.
- 24:26Speaker 5: I'm not a speech expert, but that's not.
- 24:29Speaker 2: That's guilty. Thank you very much for reaching out. Good luck, Michelle.
- 24:38Speaker 5: I think the guy's cheating. I think I hear it clearly.
- 24:41Speaker 5: I've heard enough of these to know. That cadence, that hesitation. Mm-hmm.
- 24:47Speaker 2: In the city, number two in America for bed bugs,
- 24:49Speaker 2: but they're not everywhere.
- 24:50Speaker 3: They're number two. Wait, Los Angeles overall?
- 24:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Why?
- 24:55Speaker 8: Well, it's a problem.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I blame their neighbor. Best friend.
- 25:01Speaker 5: Kiss FM.
- 25:02Speaker 2: That's Ryan's Roses.
- 25:03Speaker 1: On air. On air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Kiss FM. Ryan Seacrest, this is Netanya. Good morning, Sabrina.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Thank you for listening to us. All right, let's jump into.
- 25:16Speaker 5: This, Sabrina.
- 25:17Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:20Speaker 5: The guy you're seeing keeps saying he's busy and he
- 25:24Speaker 5: can't hang out. What's he telling you and why?
- 25:28Speaker 12: Yeah, thanks.
- 25:29Speaker 10: Okay.
- 25:29Speaker 12: There's a guy, so I've been interested in him for
- 25:31Speaker 12: a while and like we've hung out a few times
- 25:34Speaker 12: with mutual friends. And one thing I know is that
- 25:36Speaker 12: he really is into basketball. So when I ended up
- 25:40Speaker 12: with this, like the extra ticket tomorrow to Lakers Clippers game,
- 25:43Speaker 12: I immediately thought I'd ask him to come with me.
- 25:45Speaker 12: So I texted him Ryan and I said like, Hey,
- 25:49Speaker 12: I have an extra ticket to the game tomorrow night.
- 25:51Speaker 12: Do you want to come? And he replied, sounds like fun,
- 25:55Speaker 12: but I'll have to pass. So, yeah.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Not like I'm busy, but like, or he had plans.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Right.
- 26:04Speaker 12: And I know he likes basketball, right? Like, so I
- 26:07Speaker 12: figured he'd jump at the chance to go to that game,
- 26:09Speaker 12: especially like with.
- 26:10Speaker 10: A free ticket.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Lakers Clippers, right? A crypto.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I know.
- 26:16Speaker 12: So like, yeah, I guess I'm in my head. You know,
- 26:19Speaker 12: if he's turning that down, does he mean he doesn't
- 26:21Speaker 12: want to hang out with me?
- 26:22Speaker 2: I got a problem with this. I got a problem
- 26:24Speaker 2: with this guy's choice of words.
- 26:26Speaker 5: You don't use the word pass in a romantic encounter
- 26:31Speaker 5: or communication.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Or ever, really.
- 26:32Speaker 5: Pass.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Well, pass is a business term. We have to pass.
- 26:36Speaker 5: We're going to pass on this. We can't get this done.
- 26:38Speaker 5: We're going to pass. I don't like it at all.
- 26:40Speaker 5: So if he thinks that it's okay to communicate with
- 26:45Speaker 5: the word pass in a romantic exchange, he's not seeing
- 26:49Speaker 5: this right. And I think that, yeah, it shows disinterest.
- 26:54Speaker 5: I don't know that I give him another shot to
- 26:56Speaker 5: be honest with you.
- 26:56Speaker 11: Same.
- 26:57Speaker 12: I love how clear you are because I've just been
- 27:01Speaker 12: thinking about it like nonstop and like reading into it.
- 27:03Speaker 12: But I essentially wanted to know like, yeah, if you
- 27:06Speaker 12: think this is a sign, he's not interested and I
- 27:08Speaker 12: should just move on.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Someone who is a thoughtful person.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Needs to respond with a little bit of appreciation for
- 27:16Speaker 5: what the offer is. I mean, that's a real invitation
- 27:19Speaker 5: to a real game with our two local teams. To
- 27:22Speaker 5: just say pass bores me. It bores me.
- 27:26Speaker 7: But also, they always say, like, if they leave you confused,
- 27:29Speaker 7: that's your answer. Like, they're either clear that they like
- 27:32Speaker 7: you or they leave you confused, which is a no.
- 27:34Speaker 2: And then they don't.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good point.
- 27:36Speaker 2: So let's be clear on this. Don't give them another shot.
- 27:41Speaker 4: Okay. Okay.
- 27:43Speaker 5: I won't. Like with all of us, when we type
- 27:47Speaker 5: a text to somebody that you want to hang out
- 27:48Speaker 5: with or date, you got to read it.
- 27:51Speaker 2: You got to look back at the word choice.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Just send words like that. They're, it's a bit rude to.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Be honest with you. When somebody sends an invitation. that
- 28:00Speaker 5: thinks of you as the first person to invite to
- 28:02Speaker 5: something like that. You don't say pass, whether it's a
- 28:04Speaker 5: friend or a romantic.
- 28:05Speaker 6: Even like unfortunately pass.
- 28:07Speaker 5: It's so bad.
- 28:07Speaker 2: I'm so bummed. I have to work.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Right.
- 28:11Speaker 6: I wish I could.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's amazing.
- 28:13Speaker 5: I'm so sorry I have a conflict.
- 28:14Speaker 6: Thank you so much for thinking of me.
- 28:16Speaker 5: I'm committed.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Committed sounds a little professional.
- 28:21Speaker 6: Also, who are you committed to?
- 28:23Speaker 5: I'm committed to my job.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Number 2.7, Kiss FM.

- 29:06Speaker 4: over to this lady over here.
- 29:08Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 29:09Speaker 5: Don't call her little lady.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Little lady.
- 29:11Speaker 6: Yeah, that might have thrown her off.
- 29:14Speaker 4: Wait, but I'm like, oh, because she's smaller than me.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Okay, there's a little lady right here. Don't call me
- 29:18Speaker 5: little Ryan.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Yeah, little Ryan.

- 29:32Speaker 4: have Ryan Seacrest on the phone. He wants to speak
- 29:34Speaker 4: with you.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 29:37Speaker 5: Who's this? Hi, I'm Holly. Hey, Hope.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest, Disney Tanya on Kiss FM.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Hi, Hope.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Hi.
- 29:45Speaker 10: I listen to you guys. Good morning.
- 29:47Speaker 5: Thank you. With a name like Hope, tell me about
- 29:50Speaker 5: your day. Do you have to live up to it?
- 29:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:53Speaker 10: Well, I'm just about to go visit my brother. He
- 29:55Speaker 10: had a surgery yesterday, but thankfully doing well. So I'm
- 29:58Speaker 10: going to go have breakfast with him and see how
- 30:00Speaker 10: he's doing.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Oh, that's great. I hope he's recovering well.
- 30:04Speaker 4: Yeah, he is.
- 30:05Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Thanks for the gas.
- 30:07Speaker 4: How awesome is that?
- 30:08Speaker 5: We're going to fill your tank up on your way
- 30:10Speaker 5: to see your bro for breakfast.
- 30:12Speaker 2: That's Ronnie. He'll pump the whole thing up. What are

- 30:14Speaker 10: I have an Audi A8.
- 30:17Speaker 5: Okay.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Well, the tank will be full.
- 30:21Speaker 10: Thank you so much.
- 30:22Speaker 11: That's awesome.
- 30:23Speaker 10: You guys have a wonderful day. You just made mine.
- 30:25Speaker 5: Well, great. That's very nice to hear. Thank you for
- 30:28Speaker 5: listening to us. We really appreciate that.
- 30:30Speaker 11: Yeah, sure.
- 30:31Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 30:32Speaker 11: Bye.
- 30:32Speaker 5: Okay, bye. Hey, thanks so much.
- 30:34Speaker 4: No problem.
- 30:35Speaker 12: Yay!
- 30:35Speaker 5: It's so nice to meet you.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Hey, you guys.
- 30:38Speaker 5: There's something I really love about the unexpected moment of this.
- 30:43Speaker 5: You know, when you are walking up to the person
- 30:45Speaker 5: and they don't quite know why you're approaching them and
- 30:48Speaker 5: then it becomes this good feeling for everybody and you
- 30:51Speaker 5: fill up the tank. So Ronnie, thank you.
- 30:54Speaker 4: Thank you guys. I'll talk to you soon.
- 30:56Speaker 5: Bye.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Bye.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Bye.
- 30:59Speaker 2: The only person that said no to Ronnie in a
- 31:01Speaker 2: long time, the little lady.
- 31:02Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 31:03Speaker 2: She's going to regret that. He's the nicest guy ever.
- 31:05Speaker 6: She's going to regret it.
- 31:07Speaker 5: Right.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Kiss FM 102.7.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Kiss FM. Elaine, let's do it.
- 31:13Speaker 12: All right.

- 31:34Speaker 5: Okay? Here we go.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Okay.

- 31:46Speaker 2: Actually, she was born in Marietta and grew up in Temecula.
- 31:50Speaker 2: She is so SoCal. Okay, next one. Jingle Ball artist
- 31:55Speaker 2: Hilary Duff. From SoCal? Not from SoCal.
- 31:59Speaker 11: She's not from SoCal.
- 32:01Speaker 2: She's not from SoCal. She grew up in Texas.
- 32:03Speaker 5: Good job.
- 32:03Speaker 1: You got one.
- 32:04Speaker 5: You got to get two more.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Doja Cat. From SoCal?

- 32:13Speaker 5: Hills, remember?
- 32:15Speaker 1: Yes.
- 32:17Speaker 4: From SoCal.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Yeah, you're right.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Born in Tarzana.
- 32:19Speaker 1: High school DTLA.
- 32:22Speaker 5: All right, one more for the win, and then Elaine
- 32:24Speaker 5: hangs out with us at the Intuit Dome for our
- 32:27Speaker 5: big sold-out show of the year jingle ball.
- 32:29Speaker 11: Ready? Ready.
- 32:33Speaker 5: Billie Eilish.
- 32:34Speaker 2: From SoCal. Or not from SoCal.
- 32:40Speaker 11: Not from SoCal.
- 32:41Speaker 5: No, she grew up in Highland Park.
- 32:46Speaker 10: Oh, and I just moved to California three weeks ago.
- 32:49Speaker 2: You did?
- 32:49Speaker 5: From where?
- 32:51Speaker 1: Georgia.
- 32:52Speaker 2: What part?
- 32:54Speaker 4: Savannah.
- 32:55Speaker 2: What's up? Georgia Peach?
- 32:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Okay, here we go. For the win. Ryan Seacrest. From
- 33:05Speaker 2: SoCal or not from SoCal?
- 33:09Speaker 10: Not from.
- 33:09Speaker 5: Yeah, you got it.
- 33:10Speaker 1: I'll give you that one.
- 33:10Speaker 5: You got it.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Congratulations.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Oh, we made it work.
- 33:15Speaker 5: We made it work.
- 33:15Speaker 2: We'll see it.
- 33:17Speaker 5: I mean, it's a welcome gift to our state of California.
- 33:20Speaker 5: Thank you for listening.
- 33:21Speaker 4: You're very welcome.
- 33:23Speaker 5: Oh, we love you.
- 33:25Speaker 2: And what do you love about them?
- 33:30Speaker 10: They keep you on your toes.
- 33:34Speaker 5: I like it. Kate. On air.
- 33:37Speaker 1: On air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 33:45Speaker 5: So one of the shows I'm watching is this Matthew
- 33:48Speaker 5: McConaughey where he plays himself with his brother or not
- 33:51Speaker 5: brother called Brothers, Woody Harrelson.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Right.
- 33:54Speaker 3: It's based on a true rumor.
- 33:56Speaker 2: It's based on a true rumor.
- 33:57Speaker 5: Exactly. It's very funny. It's a nice light watch. And
- 34:01Speaker 5: they kind of make fun of themselves actually in reality.
- 34:05Speaker 5: of being Matthew McConaughey and being Woody Harrelson. Woody Harrelson's
- 34:08Speaker 5: the most laid back dude I've ever seen. That guy
- 34:11Speaker 5: is laid back. So there's a story going around where
- 34:14Speaker 5: Matthew was talking about on a podcast recently that he
- 34:18Speaker 5: once went in the middle of nowhere and start to
- 34:21Speaker 5: read all the bad reviews critics had about him or
- 34:24Speaker 5: his movies.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Why did he do it, Tanya?
- 34:26Speaker 7: He took 20 years of these reviews and put them
- 34:30Speaker 7: in this thick book and he spent two days.
- 34:33Speaker 6: He said he read every one. It was hard. But
- 34:36Speaker 6: here's what he figured out. There's two kinds of critics, okay?
- 34:40Speaker 7: The first kind, he said, you could tell from the
- 34:42Speaker 7: very first sentence that they had it out for him.
- 34:44Speaker 7: He said it didn't matter if they saw the movie.
- 34:47Speaker 7: They just don't like him. But the second kind, he said,
- 34:50Speaker 7: this person's got a point. Those were the ones writing
- 34:53Speaker 7: constructively about what he did wrong and he could learn
- 34:56Speaker 7: from them. And I love this because I feel like
- 34:59Speaker 7: we either ignore criticism or we take every single bit
- 35:02Speaker 7: of it personally. And I feel like he found the
- 35:04Speaker 7: middle ground where he's able to see which one it
- 35:08Speaker 7: was and then be like, OK, I can constructively learn
- 35:11Speaker 7: from this criticism.
- 35:12Speaker 6: And I feel like do either of you do that?
- 35:14Speaker 3: Well, that's my favorite kind.
- 35:15Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 35:17Speaker 5: Hold on.
- 35:18Speaker 2: First of all, Sisney, I don't think you like criticism.
- 35:21Speaker 8: No, I love, I want to be produced and helped
- 35:25Speaker 8: and told what to do right if I did something wrong.
- 35:28Speaker 3: 100%, when it comes to my career, at work.
- 35:31Speaker 2: This is his work.
- 35:33Speaker 6: No, but these are critics. These are just people on
- 35:36Speaker 6: social media.
- 35:36Speaker 8: I know, but this is like about his craft and
- 35:39Speaker 8: his job. So somebody said to me, like, oh, you're
- 35:42Speaker 8: saying it a certain way or you have a crutch
- 35:44Speaker 8: where you say this word all the time.
- 35:47Speaker 5: You don't mind that?
- 35:48Speaker 3: I don't mind that.
- 35:48Speaker 8: I want to continue to be a student and improve.
- 35:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm with you at work because we'll get these
- 35:54Speaker 5: reports from management that say, people like you, people don't
- 35:59Speaker 5: like you. Okay, fine. If they don't like us, what
- 36:03Speaker 5: do they not like?
- 36:04Speaker 1: What do they not like?
- 36:05Speaker 5: Yeah, let's fix that. However, I will tell you, as
- 36:07Speaker 5: a kid, I didn't like criticism. As an adult, you
- 36:09Speaker 5: want to do things right in your job. I get it.
- 36:12Speaker 5: The thing is with criticism, here's what I will leave
- 36:15Speaker 5: you with. With criticism, consider the source. Does the source
- 36:20Speaker 5: have credibility?
- 36:21Speaker 1: Yes.
- 36:21Speaker 5: If the source has cred, then you listen to it.
- 36:25Speaker 5: You don't let them be your judge, but you take
- 36:28Speaker 5: it in and you don't react immediately and you digest it.
- 36:32Speaker 2: If they don't have cred, blow it off.
- 36:34Speaker 7: But here's the problem, I think, with social media is
- 36:36Speaker 7: that everybody is now a critic.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Yeah, but they don't have cred.
- 36:40Speaker 6: But how do you know if they have cred or not?
- 36:41Speaker 2: They're just a voice on the internet. You don't give
- 36:44Speaker 2: them cred. They haven't earned the cred.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Right.
- 36:46Speaker 3: They don't know you.
- 36:48Speaker 5: And most of the comments on social media are trying
- 36:50Speaker 5: to pick you apart.
- 36:51Speaker 7: No, but not even about like when I go on
- 36:53Speaker 7: social media, if I see critiques on like a show
- 36:56Speaker 7: or something like my best friend, Becca didn't even want
- 36:58Speaker 7: to watch the Victoria's Secret fashion show because she saw
- 37:00Speaker 7: all this stuff.
- 37:00Speaker 6: Online about it. And I was like, no, you should
- 37:02Speaker 6: watch it. It was actually really well done. And she
- 37:05Speaker 6: was like, you know what?
- 37:05Speaker 5: You're right.
- 37:06Speaker 6: I'm going to stop listening to all this stuff online.
- 37:09Speaker 5: She needs to take pause, step back and consider the sources.
- 37:13Speaker 5: Don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from.
- 37:17Speaker 5: I think that's the thought. One Republic performing at our
- 37:20Speaker 5: Jingle Ball. I'll present my Capital One there, Kiss FM.
- 37:22Speaker 5: All right, we're going to bounce. Sisney's got you for
- 37:24Speaker 5: an hour. Tomorrow, we are back with more sold-out Jingle
- 37:27Speaker 5: Ball tickets. If you miss Ryan's roses about the bedbugs
- 37:31Speaker 5: and him cheating, get the podcast later today on iHeartRadio.
- 37:36Speaker 5: On air with Ryan Seacrest's podcast. See you in the morning.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Thanks for listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 37:41Speaker 5: Make sure to subscribe, and we'll talk to you again tomorrow.
