- 0:24Speaker 2: Joe and Serena. We're happy to see you too.
- 0:27Speaker 5: Hi, guys, where are you.
- 0:29Speaker 2: They're in New York.
- 0:30Speaker 6: Yeah, we're in my parents' backyard in Marca right now.
- 0:34Speaker 5: Oh goodness, out of Canada. I heard the flight was canceled.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Yeah, there is a whole I will say that Marco
- 0:43Speaker 3: for the holidays is not a bad idea. It's nice
- 0:46Speaker 3: and warm and always comforting.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Uh.
- 0:50Speaker 3: We're doing a holiday episode today. We're sipping Kim Crawford wine.
- 0:54Speaker 3: We're enjoying our time together. Obviously, Joe and Serena are
- 0:57Speaker 3: celebrating with their family. We're celebrating here as a family.
- 1:02Speaker 4: We're family.
- 1:03Speaker 3: We're family at this point. I mean, we've obviously been
- 1:06Speaker 3: around each other for some great memories. Now, Kathy season,
- 1:09Speaker 3: we've done quite a few, quite a few things together.
- 1:12Speaker 5: What'd you get me? Yeah, I get a gift.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Yeah, a big hug at the end of this. All right,
- 1:18Speaker 3: I have some questions and I'm going to go in order.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I'm going to go in clockwise fashion here. Just to
- 1:24Speaker 3: keep this easy, Kathy, what is your favorite holiday tradition?
- 1:30Speaker 4: You know that's easy for me. I am a big
- 1:32Speaker 4: needle pointer, believe it or not, and so every year
- 1:36Speaker 4: I love my family to come over and we decorate
- 1:40Speaker 4: the tree with all my homemade needle point ornaments.
- 1:45Speaker 3: So talk about needle pointing. Tell me more about what
- 1:48Speaker 3: that actually is.
- 1:49Speaker 4: So needle pointing is a very time intensive with threads
- 1:56Speaker 4: and needles and very small care. This with lots of
- 2:01Speaker 4: small holes in it, and you have to really pay attention.
- 2:04Speaker 4: And that's when I really focus making my ornaments. It
- 2:10Speaker 4: takes a lot of time, but it's beautiful colors of
- 2:13Speaker 4: fibers and fabrics and I make them and then I
- 2:17Speaker 4: have like sixty homemade ornaments.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Okay, a couple follow up questions here for you. Yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 3: you're now teaching your kids yep? And what two grandkids?
- 2:27Speaker 4: Uh huh?
- 2:29Speaker 2: When did you start teaching them?
- 2:31Speaker 4: So I'm trying to get my five year old granddaughter
- 2:34Speaker 4: to start. She's a little young yet my sixty month old,
- 2:39Speaker 4: you know, would rather eat it than so. But it's
- 2:43Speaker 4: one of those things that when they're old enough, I'm
- 2:46Speaker 4: going to teach them. Because my kids come over, my
- 2:50Speaker 4: grown kids, and they look at the ornaments and they say, Mom,
- 2:53Speaker 4: I remember the year you made that bird or that
- 2:57Speaker 4: sled or whatever it is.
- 2:58Speaker 2: They remember, and what age were you when you started
- 3:01Speaker 2: doing this.
- 3:03Speaker 4: I was thirty five pregnant with my last child, yeah,
- 3:08Speaker 4: and I needed something to calm me down, and so
- 3:10Speaker 4: I took a needle point You.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Know, I am expecting a child now in two months,
- 3:15Speaker 3: I'm going to make you an ornament.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Well, and I'm thinking I'm gonna start needle pointing. That
- 3:19Speaker 2: was my point here.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Let me tell you that's the least. That's what you
- 3:22Speaker 4: should start doing. Try and breathe slowly.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I don't do a lot right now. My role is
- 3:31Speaker 3: very limited now, Susan. Obviously we know you for how
- 3:35Speaker 3: talented you are at cooking.
- 3:37Speaker 5: It's just going to say they all come over.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Yeah, so let's I want to hear. It's a two
- 3:42Speaker 3: part question that's going to be easy to answer. What
- 3:44Speaker 3: kind of my question is what vibe do you expect
- 3:49Speaker 3: to try to set up for that holiday dinner? And
- 3:52Speaker 3: then what is your favorite like food to serve during
- 3:55Speaker 3: that dinner.
- 3:56Speaker 7: We start with Thanksgiving, Okay, it's like a traditional thing,
- 3:59Speaker 7: and I make all twenty some of them stand up
- 4:03Speaker 7: and say something that they were grateful for. But they
- 4:06Speaker 7: like Christmas better because you can come in your jommies.
- 4:09Speaker 7: Nobody has to get dressed up for Christmas. And I
- 4:11Speaker 7: start cooking months before and I freeze the meatballs, the gravy. Yeah,
- 4:16Speaker 7: everything's in the freezer so that when the time comes,
- 4:19Speaker 7: I'm just the frosting and heating things up and then
- 4:22Speaker 7: making the pasta of course fresh, and the ham and so.
- 4:25Speaker 3: You make the own sauce like when you and do
- 4:27Speaker 3: you do the shells?
- 4:29Speaker 7: Sometimes we do.
- 4:30Speaker 3: So I go to the Italian dinner with my wife
- 4:34Speaker 3: because my wife's family's one hundred percent Italian, and the
- 4:38Speaker 3: grandma always is making the homemade shell stuff shells and
- 4:42Speaker 3: it's like a four course dinner and it's wildly awesome.
- 4:46Speaker 7: And does she have the salad last? Yes, that is
- 4:49Speaker 7: true Italian. We eat the pasta first and then the meats,
- 4:55Speaker 7: and then.
- 4:57Speaker 4: I feel like I'm in a foreign country right now.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I have no idea what you're talking about, either one
- 5:02Speaker 4: of you.
- 5:03Speaker 3: No, it's it's uh, Kathy, this is a good point
- 5:05Speaker 3: to sit on. So when I married my wife, she
- 5:07Speaker 3: is one hundred percent Italian. I went to there the
- 5:10Speaker 3: holiday dinner with them. It was awesome, but it was
- 5:13Speaker 3: unlike anything I've ever experienced because the whole family gets together.
- 5:17Speaker 3: It is coursed out. So you have the the susan.
- 5:22Speaker 3: You're gonna have to help me out here. So the meats,
- 5:24Speaker 3: what do you call that?
- 5:26Speaker 5: We do sausage?
- 5:27Speaker 2: But what is that called? That's called no, when it's
- 5:31Speaker 2: on the menu, like, it's uh, it's like.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Good anti pasta.
- 5:38Speaker 8: And got it?
- 5:39Speaker 2: Not even Italian?
- 5:42Speaker 3: Kathy, welcome, So there is okay, So we have a
- 5:45Speaker 3: couple of Italians on the podcast right now. Walk me
- 5:48Speaker 3: through the different stages of the dinner that LEAs.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Start with the soup.
- 5:52Speaker 7: Okay, I say thettle soup, but it's escarol soup with
- 5:56Speaker 7: the little tiny meatballs and the escarl and chicken soup
- 5:59Speaker 7: with That's a.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Start, and then what's next?
- 6:02Speaker 5: And then we.
- 6:03Speaker 7: Start with our pasta and our meat balls and our sausage, and.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Well, when's the antipasta come?
- 6:09Speaker 5: That's on the table the entire time.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Ye see, there's a whole different course. It's already there. Yeah.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Wait is this for Christmas Day?
- 6:16Speaker 5: It's for every.
- 6:17Speaker 2: For every Sunday.
- 6:18Speaker 3: It's literally every Sunday the year exhausted, it's wild, all right,
- 6:23Speaker 3: So we're gonna go to Joe. Now, Joe, you're probably
- 6:25Speaker 3: hearing all this relating to the Italian dinner, right.
- 6:29Speaker 8: A fellow Italian.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Yes, it sounds familiar than Joe.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Joe, are you still doing this every Sunday with your family?
- 6:37Speaker 8: No?
- 6:38Speaker 9: No, but Christmas Christmas Eve is the Italian dinner, and
- 6:45Speaker 9: that's with all the fish. We don't do the seven fishes,
- 6:50Speaker 9: but we just we probably have like fish.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I'm sorry for those of us who are not Italian.
- 6:56Speaker 5: The seven?
- 6:57Speaker 4: Why seven fishes?
- 6:58Speaker 5: Why not five?
- 7:00Speaker 4: Why not?
- 7:01Speaker 5: Something to do?
- 7:01Speaker 2: Was biblical?
- 7:02Speaker 5: Yes?
- 7:03Speaker 2: Right?
- 7:03Speaker 8: I think it's a Catholic. I think it's a Catholic.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the seventh like it's the loads of bread
- 7:08Speaker 3: and the fish that Jesus did, the servant, whole thing.
- 7:10Speaker 3: It's like it's a very like traditional like there's a
- 7:13Speaker 3: reason behind it. So Joe, you're I know you're a
- 7:17Speaker 3: massive fan of the Bachelor and Bachelorette. You can't get
- 7:21Speaker 3: enough of it. And so I thought of this question
- 7:24Speaker 3: when I thought of you. If there is a dish
- 7:28Speaker 3: that you would have for your holiday dinner that you
- 7:31Speaker 3: would give a rose to. Which dish would that be?
- 7:36Speaker 6: Uh?
- 7:36Speaker 8: Baked clams?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Why tell me more?
- 7:43Speaker 6: I've never eaten bake clams at one of your family functions.
- 7:46Speaker 9: But hey, grant that you've never been to Christmas Eve
- 7:50Speaker 9: because you got COVID.
- 7:53Speaker 6: I was like, really, really.
- 7:54Speaker 8: You were really sick. But to me, baked clams. Did
- 7:58Speaker 8: you have baked clams when you were I always had clams,
- 8:00Speaker 8: Bay clams.
- 8:01Speaker 9: That's my favorite for the holidays. And it also, bake
- 8:05Speaker 9: clams really just remind me of Chicago, Chicago Italian restaurants.
- 8:09Speaker 9: It makes me feel like home. And if I was
- 8:13Speaker 9: the Bachelor, I would probably give the woman that made
- 8:18Speaker 9: me feel like home my first rows.
- 8:23Speaker 8: I'm Joe.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I would have done bake clams.
- 8:27Speaker 5: No, she would have ordered out, Okay, I would.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Have ordered the man. I honest to god, I've never
- 8:33Speaker 4: heard of baked clams. I'm from New England. I've never
- 8:36Speaker 4: heard of baked clams.
- 8:40Speaker 9: I don't even think it's that. I guess it's an
- 8:42Speaker 9: Italian dish, but I feel like it.
- 8:44Speaker 6: It's like, honestly, I'd never had them until I went
- 8:47Speaker 6: Chicago with him, and really only eat them at a time.
- 8:51Speaker 7: New York restaurant in Philadelphia and Jersey they all have it.
- 8:56Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I would say it's big in Jersey.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Yeah, Serena, Uh, what's.
- 9:02Speaker 5: Your favorite meal, Serena.
- 9:05Speaker 8: What's my favorite meal?
- 9:08Speaker 6: Well, tonight my mom made beer canned chicken, which I
- 9:12Speaker 6: don't know if you guys know.
- 9:13Speaker 4: That beer in the butt. It's beer in the butt chicken, right, totally,
- 9:17Speaker 4: you've done it. Wait, I have made that beer in
- 9:21Speaker 4: the butt. I cant believe it, Susan, but wait, you
- 9:25Speaker 4: have a can of beer and you put it up
- 9:28Speaker 4: the butt of the chicken and bake it.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Am I right, you are correct.
- 9:32Speaker 6: So we made that tonight, and Joe was saying, I
- 9:34Speaker 6: don't know why we have turkey on holidays because we
- 9:38Speaker 6: should just make chicken on the barbecue, Like this is
- 9:41Speaker 6: so much better.
- 9:42Speaker 10: Chicken is a superior burd And I feel like turkey
- 9:46Speaker 10: is controversial, like not everyone is a turkey fan, but
- 9:49Speaker 10: I love turkey on the holidays because really, the only time.
- 9:52Speaker 6: We eat it is like Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Yep, you and I grew up together exactly, that's the
- 10:01Speaker 4: only time you eat turkey.
- 10:02Speaker 5: So you don't get a ham. You don't do a
- 10:04Speaker 5: ham on any.
- 10:05Speaker 8: Of the sometimes.
- 10:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I do family throughout the year more often than
- 10:09Speaker 6: I will turkey.
- 10:10Speaker 9: I'm totally fine with the rest of my life never
- 10:13Speaker 9: eating turkey or ham or Thanksgiving dinner.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Ever, you no more turkey?
- 10:19Speaker 9: Yeah, I think Thanksgiving dinner is like, maybe one of
- 10:24Speaker 9: my least.
- 10:24Speaker 6: Favorite that I had never had until I started dating Joe,
- 10:31Speaker 6: was you guys put marshmallows on your sweet potato. Of course,
- 10:36Speaker 6: that's really not a Canadian thing. I never had that
- 10:39Speaker 6: until I had thanks for dinner with his family.
- 10:41Speaker 4: I was like, what listen, Serena, Serena, let me just
- 10:46Speaker 4: start with you celebrate Thanksgiving on the wrong day, So
- 10:50Speaker 4: let's start with.
- 10:51Speaker 3: That, Serena, that is a question that I'm curious about.
- 11:07Speaker 3: You are from Canada, so obviously Thanksgiving is not a
- 11:12Speaker 3: holiday that you would traditionally celebrate. So to come to
- 11:17Speaker 3: the US, be living in the US now, and to
- 11:19Speaker 3: celebrate Thanksgiving. Is that a new thing or is that
- 11:22Speaker 3: something you're like familiar with, Like what is it? Like
- 11:25Speaker 3: there's a lot of traditions I'm sure in Canada I
- 11:27Speaker 3: am very unfamiliar with, Like I don't I don't know
- 11:30Speaker 3: about So were you familiar with what the United States
- 11:33Speaker 3: does on the third November or the third Thursday of November?
- 11:39Speaker 6: So yes, and no, Like we do celebrate Thanksgiving, it's
- 11:43Speaker 6: just the second Monday of October.
- 11:45Speaker 8: Yusually it's early October that we celebrated.
- 11:48Speaker 6: And I would say it's similar in terms of like
- 11:50Speaker 6: food and being thankful, but you guys take it to
- 11:54Speaker 6: a whole other level, like it's a way bigger deal.
- 11:57Speaker 6: Like we'll Toronto sports game and have dinner with our
- 11:59Speaker 6: family are extended family, and it's great. But going to
- 12:02Speaker 6: the US just like Cyber Friday or like Cyber Monday,
- 12:07Speaker 6: Black Friday football game, like it's just way more of
- 12:11Speaker 6: an event.
- 12:12Speaker 4: So, Serena, my sister is a Canadian citizen. I think
- 12:15Speaker 4: you know that she lives in Canada and they always
- 12:18Speaker 4: say Canadian Thanksgiving in Canada, you guys say Canadian Thanksgiving.
- 12:26Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess we do well because in all, like
- 12:29Speaker 6: most movies and TV shows and a lot of pulp
- 12:32Speaker 6: culture like Thanksgiving TV specials like The Friends Thanksgiving Special
- 12:37Speaker 6: or the Gossip Girl Thank You especial would always air
- 12:40Speaker 6: end of Thanksgiving, so we would kind of feel that
- 12:42Speaker 6: festivity with you guys, even though we weren't celebrating. But
- 12:45Speaker 6: I will say celebrating Thanksgiving middle of October. The leaves
- 12:49Speaker 6: are changing. It's so warm out. It's better weather, and
- 12:54Speaker 6: it just feels very fall I like that it's before Halloween.
- 12:58Speaker 6: Like I feel like going into Thanksgiving? Are you guys,
- 13:00Speaker 6: It's like you're just waiting for Christmas at that point.
- 13:03Speaker 5: We only have so many days. I can't disagree thanks.
- 13:06Speaker 6: Savings when you're right.
- 13:11Speaker 4: I mean, I don't you are who's inviting me this year?
- 13:19Speaker 4: But you're right.
- 13:20Speaker 7: He goes and buys the wine.
- 13:23Speaker 3: It's a very talented Yeah, that's a big deal. You
- 13:27Speaker 3: can have a bottle of Kim Crawford.
- 13:30Speaker 4: There's nothing better than Kim Crawford's salmon blanc. It's one
- 13:34Speaker 4: of my favorites.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah, we have in the fridge.
- 13:39Speaker 3: We'll get it right after this, all right, So I
- 13:41Speaker 3: think everybody in this room right now is a vibe setter.
- 13:45Speaker 3: I think they care about their times together with people,
- 13:48Speaker 3: and I think they care about their families. So rapid fire,
- 13:54Speaker 3: we'll go around the circle again. What kind of like
- 13:57Speaker 3: vibe do you want to see at the holiday season? Like,
- 13:59Speaker 3: what do you want when you go to bed and
- 14:01Speaker 3: you lay your head on that pillow at night? What
- 14:03Speaker 3: do you just hope to remember or feel or know
- 14:07Speaker 3: about that day that you.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Spent for the holidays? Kathy will start with you.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Okay, So Christmas for many people is about gifts, and yes,
- 14:17Speaker 4: I want my kids to be and my grandkids to
- 14:19Speaker 4: be happy with their gifts, but honestly, I want my
- 14:23Speaker 4: family to remember what the holiday is really about the
- 14:27Speaker 4: birth of Christ and the grateful being grateful for their
- 14:33Speaker 4: lives and feeling together as a family and appreciating each
- 14:38Speaker 4: other and going to bed being so thankful that we
- 14:42Speaker 4: have each other.
- 14:44Speaker 2: It's beautiful. So how do you help cultivate that? Then?
- 14:47Speaker 3: Like, how do you help cultivate the fact that your
- 14:50Speaker 3: grandchildren and your kids are leaving whatever place that you're
- 14:54Speaker 3: celebrating going.
- 14:55Speaker 2: I'm just happy we did.
- 14:56Speaker 4: This because at dinner we talk about Christmas and what
- 15:01Speaker 4: our year has been like and what it's something we
- 15:06Speaker 4: love about or something we're grateful for. We do it
- 15:08Speaker 4: at Thanksgiving, but we also do it at Christmas. And
- 15:11Speaker 4: I want my children and my grandchildren to know that,
- 15:16Speaker 4: above all, there's nothing more important than family.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, beautiful Susan.
- 15:22Speaker 7: It's about sharing time together. And we have a lot
- 15:26Speaker 7: of laughter on Christmas, silly things. Nobody gets in trouble
- 15:29Speaker 7: for doing anything, and my kids are mostly grateful because
- 15:32Speaker 7: I'm not a freak about cleaning up after everybody.
- 15:35Speaker 5: I just let it go on Christmas.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Teach me, Teach me how because I'm very not okay
- 15:41Speaker 3: with that.
- 15:41Speaker 5: I'm not okay with it either.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Okay, it's bad. I got a.
- 15:44Speaker 7: Trash game right over here at trash break for the
- 15:46Speaker 7: wrapping paper, and I just I breathe through it and
- 15:48Speaker 7: just let especially my grandchildren just.
- 15:51Speaker 5: Rip it apart.
- 15:52Speaker 7: And I hate when their mom and dad let them
- 15:54Speaker 7: open things, certain things that I'm going to find pieces
- 15:58Speaker 7: or colorful things, my white carpet and things like that. Sure,
- 16:02Speaker 7: but when I lay my head down, I'm so grateful
- 16:05Speaker 7: for the laughter and the bonding that we're all together,
- 16:09Speaker 7: everybody's there.
- 16:11Speaker 5: That's the best part for us.
- 16:12Speaker 4: What about you?
- 16:13Speaker 2: What about you?
- 16:14Speaker 1: Ben?
- 16:15Speaker 3: You know, I think I think I would just like
- 16:18Speaker 3: mirror a lot of what you said. For me, my
- 16:21Speaker 3: family makes a fun of me because I have this
- 16:24Speaker 3: common question that I don't even mean to ask, that
- 16:26Speaker 3: I ask every time we're all together, is everybody doing okay?
- 16:30Speaker 3: So for me, it is this kind of like vibe
- 16:33Speaker 3: of I just want everybody to experience the joy that
- 16:39Speaker 3: not as is expected, but is desired, And I just
- 16:43Speaker 3: want everybody to be happy being in that moment.
- 16:46Speaker 7: Like so you ask them, are you okay when they
- 16:49Speaker 7: get there for the holiday?
- 16:51Speaker 6: No?
- 16:51Speaker 3: No, no, like throughout the day, like I like, like, you know, randomly.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Let me just say, if you give them enough alcohol,
- 16:59Speaker 4: they'll be okay.
- 17:01Speaker 5: What about you, guys, I.
- 17:03Speaker 8: Mean we're on different pages.
- 17:07Speaker 6: Say I bet you give the same one say one
- 17:10Speaker 6: word to describe Christmas on three okay, the one word, Well.
- 17:13Speaker 8: That's not nothinking it just Christmas.
- 17:15Speaker 6: But okay, okay, ready three to one.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Cookies.
- 17:22Speaker 9: I like like holiday scented candles, decorations. I love being
- 17:26Speaker 9: in New York for the holidays because it's such a
- 17:29Speaker 9: festive city. I want like friends, Thanksgiving on different Christmas movies,
- 17:34Speaker 9: holiday movies. I want Chevy Chase on my screen a lot.
- 17:37Speaker 9: I like cookies in the oven. I like decorations.
- 17:42Speaker 8: I like gifts. I'm like, I'm a chop, I'm a child.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Christmas to Joe is still what it was when he
- 17:49Speaker 6: was like eight years old.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Hold Joe, I want to know Serena, who makes all
- 17:56Speaker 4: that happen for Joe.
- 17:59Speaker 6: I would say, he really does a lot.
- 18:02Speaker 8: He really does a lot.
- 18:03Speaker 6: We will decorate together, but like he's like, we're going out,
- 18:08Speaker 6: We're getting Christmas decorations.
- 18:09Speaker 4: We're going to hold on for real real tree we
- 18:17Speaker 4: live with artificial We live in New.
- 18:19Speaker 8: York in my childhood home growing up.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Every year we have we go and cut down a
- 18:24Speaker 6: real tree, like still to this day.
- 18:26Speaker 9: Serena for Christmas last year got me the home Alone
- 18:30Speaker 9: two experience, which was what a eight year old boy
- 18:35Speaker 9: got when he was living alone in New York.
- 18:37Speaker 8: She got in the same ding and I was probably
- 18:39Speaker 8: more excited than him.
- 18:40Speaker 6: Yeah, you're really happy I got. I surprised, Like a
- 18:43Speaker 6: night at the Plaza Hotel.
- 18:45Speaker 8: I got.
- 18:45Speaker 6: It's a limo to go to dinner, like a stretch
- 18:48Speaker 6: limo with the Joe's Pizza inside. And then we went
- 18:52Speaker 6: back and we watched Home on two in an ice
- 18:54Speaker 6: cream Sunday And honestly, I don't think I can off
- 18:56Speaker 6: it this year, Like a took me.
- 18:59Speaker 7: Two months to plan it all the Godfathers, Dapes, Scrooge,
- 19:06Speaker 7: so Serena.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Is there anything you would add to this, like when
- 19:10Speaker 3: it comes to the vibe that you hope people experience.
- 19:15Speaker 6: I mean, I think the word that my dad always
- 19:18Speaker 6: us growing up was magical, Like you just felt Christmas
- 19:21Speaker 6: was so magical and He's like, obviously having young kids
- 19:23Speaker 6: helps that, but I think as too, adults with no children,
- 19:28Speaker 6: it's still important to create that sense of magic even
- 19:33Speaker 6: like we're adults, right, Like it's easy just kind of
- 19:35Speaker 6: let go of that and have it become like a
- 19:37Speaker 6: lot of chores and a lot of cooking and a
- 19:38Speaker 6: lot of planning. But I feel like we do try
- 19:41Speaker 6: to keep the magic alive and still feel like kids on.
- 19:44Speaker 8: With every adult there's a kid inside, right.
- 19:47Speaker 5: You know what's your favorite Christmas cookie?
- 19:51Speaker 8: I mean, I love gingerbread. I love the gingerbread men.
- 19:55Speaker 9: I also love like just the jingle cookies with.
- 19:59Speaker 5: The sugar cookies, sugar cookie. Do you like evergot ourbiscottis.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Or no sugar cookie.
- 20:07Speaker 3: I tell you, I hate those years round In another world,
- 20:09Speaker 3: I feel like Joe's nickname could be Schnickerdoodle snicker I do,
- 20:14Speaker 3: I just see it.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I love a good chocolate chip.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Now we're closing up here, final thoughts on kind of
- 20:24Speaker 3: the holidays and what we all experience. Now we're just
- 20:26Speaker 3: entering into this season. Uh, I guess to end, I

- 21:54Speaker 3: Just I'm just letting you know. That's not uncommon, nor
- 21:57Speaker 3: is it unexpected. And it just gets worse and better
- 22:01Speaker 3: all the same time.
- 22:03Speaker 6: I appreciate the word.

- 22:16Speaker 7: So when I started playing, I actually told my ex

- 22:22Speaker 7: I get it. I used to be watching the clock.
- 22:26Speaker 7: It should only take four hours to play eighteen holes,
- 22:28Speaker 7: and he didn't drink.
- 22:29Speaker 5: So why would you go to the nineteenth hole? Why
- 22:32Speaker 5: does it take you so long?
- 22:33Speaker 7: And now that I play, I'm like, I am say,
- 22:35Speaker 7: I'm sorry.
- 22:37Speaker 4: I understand that translation. Susan spends a lot of time
- 22:40Speaker 4: at the nineteenth hole.
