- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of the episodes, most of the episodes of Gilmore Girls, and we do a live commentary.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: Just vibes.

- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: I know you have spoiler free.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: You have.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think what you said in next week's episode was a spoiler for me, but you kind of like unlocked something new for me to think about.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: It was quite exciting.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: We're having a good time.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: And the besties are loving it.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: Which I love.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: We were so nervous to go from like Gilmore.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: Of course.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: Our core of us is Gilmore to something different.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: But the besties are loving it.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: We're having a really good time.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: So come on and join us, but if you're not ready and you want to see what it's like over on Patreon, here is a sample episode for you to enjoy.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: This is a new duo.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: He has done so much this kid winning him.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's done American Housewife Gilmour Girls, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Ugly Betty, Scrubs, Two Broke Girls, Modern Family, Abbott Elementary.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's won five N.W.A.C.P.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: image awards for his work on the office, 30 Rock and Parks and Rec.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus, wow, can, wow, can, round of applause for Ken, round of applause for Ken.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: That was really unexpected.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: I was really unexpected.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was just curious if he had done anything on Gilmore Girls before this, or if we're going to see him direct more in season seven.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Let me
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: double, check.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: Nope, this is his only humor girls episode.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he nailed it.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: Way to go.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: Can you really nailed it?
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: This episode aired on April 25th, 2006.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: April 25th.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why he's birthday.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Happy birthday, baby.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: Do your birthday too.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: Super girl party people.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, the box set description reads, Major Disaster, Logan, unconscious and badly hurt after a life and death Brigade stunt goes wrong.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Minor Disaster, April's birthday party celebration hosted by Wholeheartedly but fun-challenged Luke.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, yeah, interestingly worded.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: That was interestingly worded, but okay.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: Well fine, the Netflix description reads, when Luke plans a birthday party for April at the diner, Laura likes to help and has heard that Luke thinks it's too soon for her to meet April.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, sure, but this one's, that was not, not really, we see that and we can talk about it later, but that's not like the entire, yeah, it's barely the plot, this one I think encapsulates it the best, this is Hulu, when Luke's birthday party for April is a long time, I know they did.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: When Luke's birthday party for April is a disaster, Lorelie has a chance to bond with April while turning the event into a success, where he rushes to be with Logan at the hospital.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: Now.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's a pretty, we needed.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty accurate.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: The box set also offered that, too.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: Totally.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: It was just the wording on the legally word.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: Very word-edged range.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: Fun challenged.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, fun challenged was very interesting.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: But, chapter titles are one cause and effect credits.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: Two serious but stable.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: Three calling Dr. Geller, semi-calling two soon.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: four party pooper, five party makeover, six bonding, seven, and credits.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: I love calling Dr. Geller.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Geller.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: So let's get into it.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: We got the previously on Logan's hurt.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: Marie Maddie for all.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: You've got the previously on.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, my thoughts about the previously on, which are thoughts that I could have had in that episode, but I didn't.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: It was when Logan says, you haven't forgiven me.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: And Maurice says, what are you talking about?
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: girl.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: What is he talking about?
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: What is he talking about?
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:27[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about?
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: What are you talking about
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, super hungover.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I thought starting this episode off with one cup of coffee because of course suki pours her coffee, pours herself a cup of coffee, they're sitting in the dragonfly and kitchen.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: This feels so reminiscent of the early seasons.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: This is giving me all the good work rolls feels, the suki honesty hour, except for Fred's there.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I personally want to kill Fred.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not even hungover and I want to kill Fred.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's just...
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just trying to do a job.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a job for ya.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's your in his office.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: But you came and got that in Fred's office and he's trying to cook food for the in.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: I guess.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: But also, like, shhh.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: Fred, good.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: I can't really lower my.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: She need the panic room.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: She does.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: She needs a little.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: She needs like Luke's hiding spot in the Oh, she needs exactly what she needs totally, but she's chatting with Suki about the events from the night before.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: So this is the day after Lane's wedding.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: She's brutally hung over.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: She has an effect.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: She needs a cause because we find out later that Luke is home.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: She's going to see him and so like what does she say?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: What does one say about how hungry she is, you know, one of the lines I really love that Sukey says here is she's like, you weren't only in a tech, you were a character.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what does star's hollow with not a haven for colorful characters?
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, yeah, that's so true.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: But then offering her like the pantsless Santa and the cow whisperer as people who rank above her not super comforting.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: But I love how much the thing is that in this, you know, the first couple scenes of this episode we talk about coffee a lot.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: because she talks about how, like, we just kept shoving coffee down you, but it made you energetically based in.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, that is more like, oh, more.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Energetically listed.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I will say at the end of the last episode, you feel like they're taking her home right now.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we cannot let her be embarrassed anymore.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but as we learn, that's not the case.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: She got to continue partying so much so that when she saw the videographer, that was when she thought was the perfect time to audition for America's next top model.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: What a throwback.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: I know she's just saddening that she wasn't here to make friends.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not here to make friends.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: I want to win.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: I tried watching America's next album, and I actually watched a couple of seasons of it a couple of months ago, just to like revisit it because I used to love that show.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I used to watch all the dramatic show.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like, so problematic.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: They don't really, it's problematic though, is the swan.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember the swan?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: The plastic surgery show?
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: where they would take women who were quote unquote unattractive and give them a complete makeover.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean like head to toe completely like put them under and change their entire face body, et cetera.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember that.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: I cannot believe my mom let me watch that show, but she wouldn't let me watch raw grass.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: or Harry Potter.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: She wouldn't let you watch Harry Potter, but she could watch you watch people transforming their entire body via surgery.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I watched the swan.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: And yet, every day when I come home from school, even though she wasn't home, yes, I watched Jerry Springer and Mori, because I don't know, it was on.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: but no regrets.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Oh Harry Potter.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, those regrets, they were going into Chuck East digestive system because he swallowed a watermelon seed, so.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's crazy.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: It was Angelica.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: She really didn't want me to turn it to Angelica too late.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway.
- 11:31[UNKNOWN]: All right.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, no, that show is awful.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like the terror war is next up, model.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: The way that like the women retreated on there, like terror banks was giving everyone a lot.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's Dickens said, like even though sometimes she makes me laugh, I'm like, girl, you need a serious reality check.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: And also like constantly stick and send right now where I was at the so-how house with I was leaving because I'd been there with my boss at my internship and I was you know like hamster toaster cars the Kia Soul had the lime green one and the valley brought it around in Janice Dickinson was standing right there and
- 12:09[SPEAKER_01]: And she goes, who's car is that?
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, I did not want to move forward.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: I did not want to claim this car, but it was mine.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I had to go get a net.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: And she was standing there also waiting for Valle.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: And as I walked up for it, she goes, oh, that makes sense.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, oh, I want that.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I told my boss about it later.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: And she goes, oh, she's a bitch.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she is.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: I just remember the, oh, that makes sense.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's insane, Haley.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's insane.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's my fault.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's insane.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: She's so cunty, and I don't understand, like, I guess I understand why.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: Tyra kept introducing her as the world's first supermodel, and I was like, that's false.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: You're not the world's first supermodel.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: She's the world's meanest.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: She's the meanest supermodel.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think, I don't know, maybe not.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not, even that.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we give you no titles, Janice.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: No titles for you.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I thought it was hilarious.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: It was very time-capsily to talk about a very time model.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: This is my audition for America's next hot model.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not here to make friends.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: I want to win.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, here's what I'll say about this episode before we get into it.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: I thought this was an email episode.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: All in terms of purposes it probably was.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: Probably is.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: But the fact that David I suppose and Thal got the credit, I think that like...
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: Knowing what we know, he probably did his best, but I would have thought this set us up for a fine season seven, but it proves to us that just because someone is a writing credit doesn't mean Amy doesn't have her hands all over this because it really is.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like Amy episode.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Other episode, we really enjoyed it.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: What do you say?
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: We really enjoyed his last episode too, which was like,
- 13:57[SPEAKER_01]: it was Amy Dan David, the ungraduate and David did the ungraduate.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: I guess and we quite enjoyed that one.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: We did and so like for all intents and purposes, season 7 should have been decent.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we'll like keep an eye on that as we move through it and we're actually looking at it with a magnifying glass.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he did a great job with this one, and again, but again, it is a testament to the fact that like, yeah, he did, but Amy was also there.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: I will say though, it is a little bit misleading because I thought that this episode was very well done, but it's very high drama.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you take this episode and you multiply it by 22 and you have 22 high drama episodes, that's, that's going to take you out of the world completely.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: Well, hydroma and without the quirks, like, yeah, all the quirks that are in here.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, like everything that's happening right now feels like Amy, whereas like the Rory Logan drama feels like season seven.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: There are some really funny little quips in there, but it makes me laugh.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: you like had had this episode in your mind of all this because I was like wow this is a fun episode and all the things that are happening with Logan are arguably like very very sad very serious again having like some sprigling of like fun silly fun silly fun but these mistakes are very same yeah
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: then you've got this party that is like, yeah, the stakes are also high because of ever going on with the string.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: Or like, yeah, exactly.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: But between Lauren and Lou, conscious.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, between Lauren and Lou, the stakes are high, but like the fun is there.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: And so I made me laugh that like when we cut back to the hospital scenes, I was like, this is what Haley took away from this episode.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: Holy shit!
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: This is not a fun episode, but it gets there.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so it's fun, but like, it's fun though.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the episode is fun.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: The hospital stuff, not so fun though.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about it.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so this is when Laura lies like, okay, I'm gonna go.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: Is there anything else I need to know before I venture into town?
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: And Sugies like
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: Um, well, uh, you try to make a see her club for super cool party people only, and then used Zack's great on goals came to, um, do the them bow, which is a limbo.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: And they like say Zack's great on goals came at the same time.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I know.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: So funny.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: so funny.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: But I love that she doesn't tell her anything about like the actual jargon she used until she says buy to her and she goes super cool, party people but you super cool that do.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, that's that's how you were saying goodbye to everyone, super super.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: But here is also where Chris got her home, what Suki asks, and she says, Chris and Rory, and she says, very night in chaining armor.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: Very chivalrous.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I wonder if she's like kind of like not saying too much, just to kind of see where she stands or if we're building up Chris.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and for kind of just disregarding that suki-saule, everything occur, though we don't get a lot of suki-s thoughts about Chris versus Lou, I mean, other than that like, it was Katy Curric, who said that about the couple being a part for years and years in the getting back later, about like Chris V. Luke V. Emily, I'm just suki-sauce about that.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know, yeah, because
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: we would normally get suki trying to pull lower life thoughts out of her.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: And we don't really get that, which is interesting.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I wonder if it's because like after it was like, oh, the wedding's on hold, what did you do?
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, she realized that Luke is really the one who's kind of complicating things and she doesn't want to poke at how Laura life feels unless Laura life offers it up, which she does later in the episode, you know, when they're talking post party.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: I do think so that it's interesting that they're kind of building Chris up a little bit here because it calls into question what Amy had planned.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it really does because clearly wasn't as wedding that occurs in seven, but it's, yeah, it's just interesting that, I mean, I guess it, yeah, I guess it makes sense that we wouldn't want to call too much attention to maybe potentially something happening between the two of them because things are so tumultuous between her and Luke and maybe we're supposed to believe that Sugi believes that she's all in on this and like Chris is just doing this.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I think she does, and I think for all intents and purposes, that is exactly what's happening.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but no, and I'm just pushing for a life further and further away with every passing opportunity.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe that's the commentary suit he's making.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's just that like, very chivalrous, that guy.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and to say, not so much, totally, so we get the opening credits.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: We go to the hospital, Logan is in serious, but stable condition.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: We can't really get an answer out of anybody because she is his girlfriend.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I will tell you something, Brett had to go to the hospital a couple of months ago.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's totally fine with nothing, nothing super serious.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: But I went into meet him because I wanted to be there with him.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: brought the old and they said okay are you family I said I'm his partner and they let me write in and I'm in a show they're like great go go go right on back when you say girlfriend it reminds me of that jambalini sketch um where he's talking about his wife and bringing her on the airplane he's like get my girl friend come oh yeah he's like this is my wife
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, it just sounds different and I always say partner in general just because like, you know, calling Brett my boyfriend is like, though partner does sometimes sound like he should be wearing cowboy boots on a partner hat.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: But I did, you know, I did slip my, um, I had like a ring on that definitely didn't look like a wedding ring.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: But I remember slipping it on my finger just in case it gave me a hard time like on my ring finger because I was like, I was about to be like, let me in.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I need to be able to have got the golden.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't give me a more time at all.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now listen, Brett was not in this situation where something I really bad is happening.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's yes, um,
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: didn't really.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, but they initially let me back.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: They were like, yeah, he's in like a room.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: Just go through these doors.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: Go to the left of the wall.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I went.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: I looked around for him.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I have no idea where he is.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then he was sitting in the waiting room.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: Well, my only context of this that I have is when I went, my sister got in her car accident.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, my sister is here.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: You have to.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: You have to.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: And luckily you guys have the same last name.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: No, yeah, but I will tell you I, as I was watching this, I paused it and I left a voice memo for my brother and I asked him I said how would you handle this?
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like, can you only talk to family because my brother is, he was a hospital, he's a doctor and I was like, how would you handle this?
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: How would you handle giving out information?
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: but as it turns out, he's...
- 21:29[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I was about to be like, he responded and we're no, no, no, he will, it'll take him like three days of response.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: I really want to do that.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: Have you seen that Instagram trend where it's like texting my brother or updates about my life four day?
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: And seeing what he says.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: And like, people will be like, just had lunch and their brother will be like, what?
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: or like if they have like a really kind brother like oh cool this is what i had so i want to do that with him but i know it'll take like four days and he'd be like why do you send me my brother would be like what the fuck are you saying to me yeah i really like i really want to do that but i hopefully he will get back to me for driving me to go more and i can tell you all what he says
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: I would really love to know because yeah, I don't know that saying I'm his partner works every time, but like, you know, that's kind of, it does put a little more serious of a connotation on it when you say it's so tough.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: Partner can also just like mean spouse.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like it could that might just be how someone refers to their husband, which is why that to you and just drop the business part of it.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: You could drop the business.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: isn't the business is silent.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: This is so unrelated.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: Brett loves to say.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, he was given him the business.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like, when someone is like laying into somebody, I was like, why do you say that?
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: It really makes me laugh.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: Because there was this football game back in the 90s where the rough, like, raised a flag on somebody.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: He showed me the video last night.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like penalty offense number 79.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: He was given him the business and everybody just lost it in this game.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: They were like, what?
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: He was given him the business.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: And so now we'd love to say that.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: He was given a purpose.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: Drop the business.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: I want to look it up.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: I love having the context for that.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, that's um, that's the update on whether or not you can go on get information if you're
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: Because I've always thought, like, if, like, I went in and it was my roommate, I've always felt like you should tell me what's going on.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't understand the context of, like, we really shouldn't be releasing this information to anybody who's not, like,
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: a family member.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: I get that, but it's like if Colin and Finn are there and they were clearly also in the accident.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: Also, we're just going to completely disregard the fact that they were in Costa Rica and he got airlifted to New York.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: That just seems to Columbia Presbyterian.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: crazy.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: Though I will say I don't know if like his family got involved in this and his family were like maybe he was at like a Miami hospital and they were like absolutely not we're going to New York.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know but the fact that they don't know anything and they came with him that's crazy to me that they wouldn't like update the friends like totally sorry you're not family um I saw this man because when she does see Colin and Finn because no one's gonna give her an answer
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: The way that they're talking about this, the way that they're giving this recap, funny, but what I said that they said, something along the lines of like, I couldn't tell it over the screaming and bleeding, like just casually saying that immediately, all I can think of is Logan hitting the rock screaming and bleeding, and I'm like, so sad.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: I know, very scary.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: Very cavalier about it.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: And they are being funny when Finn calls him buttercup, but I love that Rory just like gives him the business.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she just gives him the business.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: You're supposed to have his back on these trips.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're juicless.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: Go fuck up, you guys.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: Go home.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want, she's like, I don't even want to see either one of you.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_00]: When she calls them useless, I'm like, I'm gonna say that, babe.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: But we get some context for where Logan's family is.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: Honor isn't making us on our honeymoon, but she's getting on a flight and coming home.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I forgot that we see honor in this.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was a glimpse of her.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the embrides may revisit it.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: That was the last we ever saw her.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like a very small glimpse of her here.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: But Brides may be visited was a several episodes ago.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: Was that just a 16?
- 25:42[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: And this is one of the funny ones.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: 20.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: And she's been on their funny move.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: Funny move.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: funny.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's not very funny.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: People wait a while.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people I know will wait a while before going on their honeymoon.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: Or she's just rich and been on her honeymoon for quite some time.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: Who's to say?
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: But Shira checked into the spa as soon as it happened.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, okay.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: I got into the spa.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: That feels so real.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then mentioned the dark part.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: There's a line that Fin says here that I've always had when the going gets rough.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: The rich get rock massages.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: So real, and then Mitchum, the Dark Lord, as they call him, hasn't said anything.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_00]: They've let him know he has not responded.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the context we get there, which will come back later.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: So Brey gives them the business.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: She leaves, walks right into his room, Logan's room, which just makes me get all.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like, she can't know anything, but she can't know what she's got to go walk in.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: And then the director comes in, Dr. Sholds.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: And it was just like,
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: Just like hey, she's like hey, what's going on?
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm his I'm his girlfriend.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: We live to go over one.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, can't really tell you I can't really say but it's also he just like comes in uses a stethoscope Yeah, does it really do anything?
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: What's the point of you being there?
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: My dude.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my eyes are not a nurse and there is while like yeah I guess she can just walk into this room no one cares We can't tell you anything but you can look at him.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, look at him.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, good look, but don't touch.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: So we go to Star's Hollow.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: I love that the Star's Hollow parts of these episodes are still feeling very old-style Gilmore girls because this is giving old Gilmore girls vibes.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: The town trip is there and everybody is looking at him.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is kind of the first time that everybody's really acknowledging him.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: But, okay, backing up to the beginning of this, this instance of the Tantra Bador feels so like my era of Gilmore Girls, because I watched this episode quite a bit with this Logan moment.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: But it just like this feels like my youth, him singing this song, like I'm just like this nostalgia that comes back.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: But it's immediately ruined.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: by the girl who walks in the army pants.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: She walks five inches from this man and stays at him.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: Get away from him.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: She kind of like sweys a little bit to it and then walks around him.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: As if he was gonna move out of her way or something, I don't know.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: But the people who are noticing him are just getting too close to him.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know what I mean?
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was because they wanted, they wanted every, they wanted it to be clear everybody was acknowledging it.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: And it had to not be so far in the background that nobody sees it because we're setting him up his character of course to be discovered.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: And as we've said, that your guitar is kind of like the internal monologue connecting the two girls.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I think this is a very interesting song to do that with.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: And it's again and again saying, thankful we've had 40 years as they're kind of one relationship is sort of
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's because he's broken, so they're gonna mend things, of course, and the other one is kind of on the verge of getting to a better place That's not quite there By the end of it.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: Just thought it was interesting, but yeah, there's also another girl at the end who like she's kind of like dancing across the screen before she goes out Yeah, I've always thought it was so strange, but it was definitely interesting
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: Why'd you get so close?
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, why'd you close to him?
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, we go into Luke's where Luke is upset because Caesar keeps leaving the bananas in the fridge for cold bananas because when he was running the place Which he likes to say a lot when I was running the place people love to cold banana I was really excited to my sony to team demeanor Yeah Which I agree with, everybody loves Caesar, he's so fun
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then Laura Lyewaxen, hello, where are you traveler?
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: She says, like everything seems fine between the two of them, which is so interesting.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: She walks in and he says, finally, someone's saying, I'm like, that's the first time you've ever said that about her.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's true.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: The fact that the parometer is there where she's the same one in the room.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so she sits at the counter.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: Patty is there.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: He gives her a little gift.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's an homage to these pages.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Patty mentions the cold bananas.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: We get a little subtle dig at National Treasure.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: She says, did you bring me back to the Constitution?
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: of the Declaration of Independence.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_00]: The Declaration of Independence.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: Don't insult national treasure.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's a fantastic movie.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great movie.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great movie.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great movie.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great movie.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't seen it in a long time, very long time, but yeah, no, when she says something like, if you stole the declaration of independence and gave it to me, that would be the start of a really bad, that would be like the start of a really dumb movie, and I was like, yeah, no, it's actually really fun movie, so I don't like a blockbuster, so I don't like having a good time, so you don't like suspense.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, he gives her an omish doll, but I love that she goes in an omish voodoo doll.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's just an omish voodoo doll.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: so funny.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was where I wrote Patty once called Banana.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: I love that Patty's in the background of this because it ends up like it's very smart the way they do this.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: So Luke tells Laura lie that it's April's birthday tomorrow and Luke is going to throw her party at the diner.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's diving into fatherhood.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really shocked that Anna, she's like, doesn't have the inner to throw our party here.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe she's busy at the shop, but it's like this seems like it's like a 13th birthday party.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: But also for her to be like April, she's my kid.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay, she's gonna throw a daughter.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: They party.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: And you couldn't even throw our birthday party.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: Don't get me started.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: Well, actually, let me start it, but we'll tell you.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_00]: Can we start it a little bit?
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: Let me start in a little bit.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, of course, Laura Lysa as well, if you need a consultant, I have learned some rock and teenage parties in my time, where he's birthday scavenger hunt of 1998.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's still talked about an hushed reference tones, hushed reference tones.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's the one where they ended up at Dosty's Market at the Lennon House.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it tailors how hilarious.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I equated Taylor's house with Josh's market, kind of the same thing, but same thing, reading his fridge.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_00]: But Luke is very insistent.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, I have an under control.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_00]: He kind of shuts her down, but not in the way that he shuts her down later in the episode.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_00]: He just kind of very casually is like, I've got an under control.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: Do you?
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: You don't.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you do.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: So we go over to Kirk, who says, how about a steaming cup of Chigri coffee?
- 32:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to check her.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to check her.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to check her.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to check her.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to check her.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:46[UNKNOWN]: Check her.
- 32:46[UNKNOWN]: Check her.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: Check her.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's made with chicken.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: So you go to New Orleans these two.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: So if you go to Calvary do Mond, then you did.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: I just got this.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's like Chickery Coffee.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, obviously.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: Chickery in it.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: I just got an empty mug as it turns out.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: But I bought it that way.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't ask for anything in it.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, well, you also wouldn't be able to.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: Because dairy.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know that they have all turned to a milkset cafe.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: They also have dairy in the binis, but I suffered don't you really did For you and those but oh my god, these are so bad, but they're so worth it But like it was so good so worth it
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: Apparently, at the, I think it's called Porter Leans, or the Breveira, there's, there's a New Orleans hotel in Disney World, and they have very free banniers.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, shaped like Mickey Mouse.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_00]: Well, of course, they're shaped like Mickey Mouse.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't go there.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: Kale keeps doing like have you have them?
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, have you taken me?
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I didn't know.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: I have no, I have it.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm speaking of New Orleans is getting snow right now, which is crazy.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: Where's what you see now?
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: We're not.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: We're under a blizzard watch.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's wild.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's wild in here.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: But speaking of these signs, seems like he got it from the same place that Mrs. Cam got her close for the wedding.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: So it seems like there's a very, very long sign printing, which I really love.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: But he's really susceptible to signage that Kirk, I am as well.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, me too, once I see something, I'm like, oh, yeah, because I noticed the chicken finger one, because literally I was like, how about a nice place, a plate of chicken fingers?
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, take it all of them down, but Luke responds by saying, how about some coffee?
- 34:33[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, no, I'm kind of coffeeed out and he's like, oh, right, the hangover.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: I would be my heart would fall into my asshole.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: my heart would drop.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I would never assume that because my fiance had a hangover, she wouldn't want coffee.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: Third, Laura, why are you messing with our coffee, can't like this?
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_00]: We can't count you.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: Any of the coffee that you got so at the wedding?
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: No, none of it.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_00]: None of the coffee that you've had since then, whatever.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, but so we see Patty turn around because Laura live course now is like, oh, shit, he heard about this.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, I heard you really bolted it out.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: Endless love.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, oh, yeah, and this is where Patty fills in.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because she set this whole story up and that's love.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's fucking love right there.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a friend.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: And she says things patty and she said like no need to think me and yeah, it's just really it's really sweet, but she says it may take a meal team to get it may take a meal team, but you're getting him to the altar some day and I'm like that's not that that's not comforting that's also not the energy that Patty has had towards this.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: ever, until now, because like for the longest time, you know, when Max and Laura like were engaged, have you told Luke?
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's, everybody has known, Sukey says this to her.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like, everybody knows Luke has a thing for you.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_00]: Luke does not have a thing for me.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's, you know, it's very clear that Luke has always had feelings for Laura lie.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: And now, the tables have kind of turned in the sense we're now all of a sudden, it's like, don't worry, honey.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like, go marry him.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: You'll get him.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: You'll get him down
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like where did this fucking come from?
- 36:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, where did this energy come from this season?
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like it just feels weird.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe it's because everyone knew it.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: There was a wedding and he probes-pumped it.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: And she proposed?
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: Which Patty was very kind of.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you want to put her in?
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: You want to put her in?
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: You proposed.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe that was also where the switch was.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: So we go back to the hospital.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: Where he calls Paris, who is just.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_00]: in her own little fucking world, the last two episodes every time that we go to talk to Paris, she's like, and another thing.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it ends with like hard work because for suckers, because she's gonna have to, she's gonna be able to take an open book exam at Yale.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: And she's just upset.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, Paris.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: Located in the hospital.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, oh, oh.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: Columbia Presbyterian was an interesting choice because I've been to Columbia Presbyteria.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_00]: Are you still live right near?
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: Columbia Presbyterian.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember going to that hospital in the middle of the night and it was not very cute.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: I've never been there during the daytime, but you have been transferred from the ICU.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_01]: to some of us need a size or so he has a lot of money so maybe very very very relocated him could you but in this telling of retelling to Paris for morey she says they were doing some life and death brigade something and Paris now knows about the life and death brigade too everybody knows about the life and death brigade is a good society no way not the secret so no the secret story out it was a society now let's also be serious for a second
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: We wrote an entire article about it.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: I also feel like it's kind of like the puffs, like everybody knows about it.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, once you know about it, you know about it.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like there's no way that Paris didn't know about it.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I envision them having this conversation where worries, like, so Logan's in a secret society.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_00]: And Paris's like, everybody knows about that thing.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: You run an article about it.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: You run a article about it.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_00]: Of course it is.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: I just like every time they bring it up, I'm like, oh, you mean the secret society shut up.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: Just keep the secret.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a society now.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_01]: But Paris find out that where he can't find out information because she's not family and Paris's response, what's the doctor's name?
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: She calls it back.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_00]: She's very threatening seemingly because we're only seeing the other end of this conversation.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's incredible.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: But this is where the subtitles really help out because you can't quite hear what they're saying, but when the nurse hands the phone to the doctor, he goes, you wouldn't do that.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: I know, and I'm like, what did you say to him?
- 39:00[SPEAKER_00]: What did you threaten him with?
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's so funny.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: So, it's so funny because given what the doctor says, it's so quick compared to all the information the pair of cents up getting.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: So Logan was bleeding internally when they brought him in.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_00]: He was also running a fever, but they brought all of that down.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's a partially collapsed lung six broken ribs, a broken ankle torn cartilage in both of his knees and a concussion.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that sounds like saying shit.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's just that major surgery, too, because he had to repair the collapsed lung, which they, she like specifies that they went into like a small incision rather than butterflying like a shrimp, beautiful imagery.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, beautiful imagery.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: But this is like another thing that when I, voice my posthum, voice my brother brought it out.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is what he had.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: How would this like, how would this go about?
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, hopefully we'll go back to that later.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I could have asked my dad.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_01]: He was more true.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: More present.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: I should have asked him.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: He probably would have been back to me.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: He would have.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'll ask him later.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, so I just wanted to know more of like what the specifics of how this would have gone down.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: This is accurate to what is happening here.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: Because yeah, he just seems out.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but they said that he's out of immediate danger and they expect him to make a full recovery because he's young and healthy.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_00]: So that's good.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: And then worry has my favorite line of the episode here.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like a full recovery.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to recover fully.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's just because she was like, no, that's not what that means, but I just, I almost would have loved that because I think that she didn't though because she recognized that were you saying this because she's panicked because her boyfriend had a collapsed lung when he came in and went into emergency surgery and was bleeding internally.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: So I get that like 100%.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: But it was just the, he's going to make a full recovery, like he's going to recover.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: always cucks me up.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_00]: But this is a really beautiful friendship moment for them.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_00]: I really like this.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the times that we talk about Paris being a good friend to brewery.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is one that I don't know if we really wanted to depth about, but it's really good.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: Really good moment for them.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: So, then we go to Luke and Lorelai shopping.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: Is the other side of Star's Hall over the hall?
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: Are they?
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they're in Star's Hall, because there's some sort of movie theater behind it.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it was the movie theater.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, where the hall already?
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know that pretty little liars films on the same lot that, like it's basically Star's Hall over.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_00]: That was what it felt like, Rosewood.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's what this felt like for me.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm kind of like, pre pretty little layers.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like we're shadowing.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're saying Kirk's A. Kirk is A, I don't think Larry is.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: And as they pass by this window, Luke notices this toiletry set, and that's what he wants to get April for.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: Her birthday, which is just very reminiscent of Rachel and the cat of admits at the cat club.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, Laura Lies, like, um, I don't know about that.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, treat his girlie.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: And it's got cats on it.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: I saw her use soap on the trip.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: I saw her.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_00]: You're so.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: Do you also, what did she say to Joss or see her, um,
- 42:33[SPEAKER_00]: Tire shoes or something.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, tire shoes and she's like I Like don't she doesn't need this a good gift because it says happy birthday now go clean yourself up for something Yeah, so there's a shop three three doors down where I could find 50 things and maybe something that has cats on it and he was like no, this is it
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's like offended.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_00]: And this, you know, in speaking to Luke and Emily being two sides of the same coin in a lot of ways, this is all like at this to the list because it reminded me of Rory's birthday parties when, you know, Emily takes Laura lie shopping with her and Emily picks something out and Laura lies like, that's not right for her.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Emily's like, well, this is what I want to get her.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_00]: And it's kind of like offended that Laura lives trying to help.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: This is obviously very different circumstances because Laura doesn't know April, but she does know 13 year old girls.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that she
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: Really, it wants to insert herself without inserting herself here and she's like, let me help you.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, and he's like offended.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_00]: And well, she says, let me be part of it.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: And he says, no.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this part made me so angry.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: And this is where we get to the core of why he's been doing this.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: And it's fucking infuriating.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: If you're eating, the minute you get involved in her life, it'll be all over for me.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't want to hang out with me either after meeting you.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, but you're her dad.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: I am her dad, and this is the way I want it to be.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, here's the thing, I want to call this selfish and in a lot of ways it is, but in a lot of ways he's entitled to be selfish in this moment and wanting to know his daughter, but it's more over the fact that you've cut her out of every single thing without even saying the stir for months.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 44:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's ruining your relationship with her, which she should be a lot more vocal about.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like she has been, but this just was so fucking gross.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_00]: This made me so mad.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's like preventing potential jealousy, and it's like preemptively deciding that he won't deal with that.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, rather than being like, hey, isn't it so cool that your future set mom is so fun?
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it just, it makes me mad for him.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: He makes me mad in their relationship a lot in this episode.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: But mostly because I feel like he should be proud of her.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is the person that he's bringing into April's life that someone who she's going to like and someone who she's going to appreciate.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: And like I know that you're like new with her but there's a part of you that like never offer her and that is being her dad.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like being the person who's like, you know, the fun person who's going to pop in and out of her life, you get to be her dad.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, I totally agree with you.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think that I think that that is something that Luke is really missing here and it's his first time being a dad.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_00]: These are obviously not the circumstances under which he ever thought he was going to be one.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I know he's slowly navigating the unknown here and also treading lightly because of what we see from Anna at the end of this episode and we saw it, you know, a couple episodes ago when he.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_00]: tried to postpone with her with April coming, and that was because of his own choices.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_00]: He chose not to tell Lorelei.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't want April to come to the diner because he didn't want to entangle that situation before he had an opportunity to tell Lorelei, which he had plenty of opportunities to do.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, he saw that side of Anna come out where it was like, mom and bear, you're not going to mess with my kid kind of situation.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_00]: She calls the shots here, and that's very clear by the end of the episode that they have thoughts on when we get there.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, me too.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think though that like he's very scared of making a mistake, but to also add this layer on to it if like I'm scared She's gonna like you more than me.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that that might be really hard to navigate But you're subsequently ruining your relationship in the process.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't have to be this difficult and you Like leaving her To scope around like this is actually making things worse, which we'll come back to yeah, but it this may me this may me really mad Because it's like I have a little bit of empathy for Luke
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but at the same time or sympathy, rather, because I don't really know what this feels like, but I have sympathy for him, but I also wish he was doing better and standing up for his partner more, I also like this in my opinion is what paints Anna as a villain for me, this episode it really is.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I can see her villain origin story very clearly as a result.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I want to talk about that when we have to her villainness moment later on.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I do, I will say the only part of the scene that we didn't mention was that Laura like releasing that Luke picks out all of her favorite clothes because she doesn't like them.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then she wears them and she feels good because he complements them.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: That, hey, you picked on all my outfits.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was me and that's like you saw We're so funny because it didn't give more girls and they got me something to it I didn't like it, but I wanted to so I get listening to it and I love it.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_01]: So It's just crystal it is a vicious vicious circle, but speaking of Anna, we pop back in we see her because the party is happening at Luke's and
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: Sherlan Finn's beautiful.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_00]: She's so beautiful.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: Right blue eyes.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's just hard to not see Laura lie here.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: It really is because she is very beautiful and she dresses super quirky in a eccentric in the same way that like, you know, when you we see them again together, it does feel like a little mirror image.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: They are very similar.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: She does have very Emily Gomar hair.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: She does for sure.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: She's getting higher and higher.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_00]: But she's here in Stores Hollow, which is the first time we've seen her here, and she makes like a little reference actually, I hate it the way this was worded, because it felt like it was to the audience and not to Luke.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_00]: But when she, you know, says, I'm really excited about the party, like I'll be back later, kind of a thing.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_00]: She says to Luke, like, and the title looks great.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_00]: I was here when you opened it, remember?
- 49:00[UNKNOWN]: Like,
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, of course he really felt like she should have burst to the camera.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: Look, there was here and he opened it exactly.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the fourth world broke.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: I was like that they call him Hagrid.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_01]: Cause he was a decent, embarrassing parent on the trip.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: And the family endeared to him.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: But it made me so we're doing something kind of new with our vicious trowelups with their bonus episode every month.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: And a kind of with Tara to watch Harry Potter with me in this segment.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: Because I've been thinking about it.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: I almost watched it on the airplane.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: I told you, no, no, no, we have to watch it in the right setting.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_01]: You can't just watch it on an airplane.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_00]: I just mean to say I almost started it.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 50:00[SPEAKER_00]: juxtaposes their relationship up against what we're about to get from her at the end of this episode because they're seemingly really great.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: I like that we get this version of her where she's like proud of him like happy to leave this party in his hands that she's excited because her friends are excited because he's happy and I just I just like that.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: I do I do find it interesting
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: other than carrying the Harry Potter book on top of your head.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like and also Colin calling Mitch and the Dark Lord.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_00]: I feel wonderful out more in season seven.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_00]: I just like there's a lot of sports in Potter.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas the Paladino's are Lord of the Rings.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_00]: So Lord of the Rings.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_00]: You're really youths.
- 50:57[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 50:57[UNKNOWN]: Dance
- 50:57[SPEAKER_00]: Anna leaves and then he says gather gather let's set some ground rules and holy shit is this I say this isn't saying I have to tell you the Marsha is her name because she was in lied to me that show I was telling you about I've started rewatching it again and I'm lately in the middle of season two.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's like my new little
- 51:19[SPEAKER_00]: thing I watch after we're done with our day.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: I fucking love that show.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's so good.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_00]: If y'all have not watched light of me, I think some people in the comments said they had watched light of me, but they really liked it.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's such a good show, and I'm so mad that I'm already halfway through season two, and I know it ends at the end of season three.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's just such a good show, and it should have stayed on longer, my opinion.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why it ended.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of read a couple things that like the guy who plays the lead the human lie detector guy.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_00]: He just was growing tired of the the format of the show.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he didn't want to be lied to anymore.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, give me the truth.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, um, so when I saw her I was like Emily, yeah, because her name is Emily on the show was like, hey girl, but anyway, Luke,
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: I understand why he was like, I want to set some ground rules.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_00]: This is the party area, and you're not to go outside.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like this feels very like Luke.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_00]: setting ground rules for Jess.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly what I thought.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he said, not to go in the kitchen because there's like, you make one wrong turn.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: You bring your face off.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, oh, this is Tarzan's.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, I've got all sorts of knives in there.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_01]: One wrong room.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to cut your arm off.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_01]: Something like that.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: And it can't go upstairs.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: No one can go outside.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: And they're just like, oh, yes, sir.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sir.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sir, we understand.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I literally ran.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so that was insane.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he walks away people because Yeah, just no idea what to do.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and they're all looking hurt like what the fuck?
- 52:58[SPEAKER_00]: Who the fuck is this man?
- 53:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they don't even say that.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_00]: They're teenagers, but they're brains in the brains that we're thinking at they are panicked now
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: So we go to the Dragonfly and I love that Laura like comes by as Michelle is working on the website and she goes, what happened to the website?
- 53:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a giant picture of him.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_00]: I wish we could have seen it.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_00]: I really wish they would have shown it to us.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: I just love the idea that because he's the one who updates the website.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_01]: He felt like he should be prominently featured on the website.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like Tara could do this to our website and I would never know.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_00]: You would never know.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: So this website sounds so 2006 and I say that because when I was a freshman in high school I had to take a class a dream leave or class Adobe dream leave where which was the website build air and I they were like you get to build a website of your choice.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_00]: So of course I'll be able to get more girls website
- 53:46[SPEAKER_00]: And it was all like thousand yellow daisies, it was all like, I don't even remember, but it was the kind of situation where like you would click on something like someone's mouth and it would like talk to you or it would take you somewhere like talking fast.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_00]: And my, um, affiliate who ran my costume and like it, she goes, I don't get this and I was like, hmm, I do.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_01]: She said, I don't get it.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I don't get the point of this website.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't just like graded it on the point of the website of designing the website.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: I used to designing the website and if I do see it myself, it was really fucking good.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, I think I got to be.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_00]: brood I know but that's what this reminded me of that like you could build these things and like click on someone's mouth and click on someone's eye and it would like do something and yeah it's fun like that it was his face yeah it's maybe laugh but Laura like it's phone call from Bray she's of course spooked because she can't talk to anybody she's really know what's going on she gets all of this information from Paris but like it's very clear she's like I
- 54:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_00]: I just hope he's okay and she just kind of there and doesn't really know what to do.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: Also, this is kind of scary for Laura Lightie here that like, yeah, he jumped off a cliff to his parachute didn't really open.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, oh my god, like, oh, scary.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: So scary.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_00]: By in the midst of all this, one of the nurses comes up to her and says, Logan's awake.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: And so she could now go in and see him, which was so sweet.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that now that I'm thinking about it, maybe this is something I should specify in my message to my brother, is that Logan's not awake.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's part of it, is that no one can confirm how he would have to be able to confirm.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, this is, she's cool.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_00]: She's not a crazy girl.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_00]: She's super cool.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_00]: She's a super cool party person.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and so I just thought it was really sweet when she walks in.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_00]: This would make me really emotional.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: It always makes me really emotional when she walks in and he says, hey, she goes, you're awake.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_01]: She's been waiting there for so long for him to wake up and he said, um, I'm hallucinating.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty good hallucination.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_00]: Nice.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure there's a lot of relief there for him because like,
- 56:02[SPEAKER_00]: She made out of calm.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_00]: She was very angry at him last time.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_00]: Could you say each other?
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: She decided she wasn't going to come and then like good fan fiction and then like Majum doesn't come.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's just calling him and he's just sitting there broken in the hospital.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh no.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_01]: This really actually don't want to read that.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's something really sad.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: Don't like it.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_01]: But just from just from where he's perspective.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want this from looking perspective.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 56:28[SPEAKER_01]: I love he was like I probably look horrible, so now I understand we never let me see without to make up on I know that was one of the lines that made me laugh and that was what felt very Amy about this episode This interaction feels very Amy
- 56:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure a lot of this is Amy, but yeah, anyway, so we get that really heartwarming moment and then we go to Luke's where no, but the thing I actually wanted to mention here is that he's the way he's talking to her, he's like, I'm really sorry about this and he's feeling like he is inconveniencing her by being hurt
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, this is one of those moments that makes me really sad for people in situations like this to like, even be worth like, my dude, you just had a collapse long don't worry about and convincing me, but like again, like it's the stunt that caused him to be in the situation and to end up here, but it just makes me sad that anyone would feel like burdenous to their loved ones when they're hurt.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_01]: not even just this particular moment.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_01]: It just made me in general of like anxious people who feel like they can't just like relax and to whatever's going on in their life because they feel like they're being burdens to their loved ones.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that this one in particular though is like more about the fact that they're coming off of this very, um,
- 57:54[SPEAKER_00]: to maltrus moment.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Lisa, that's what it sounds like.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_00]: But we also get the, um, when Laura Lye and Brie are talking on the phone, worry says to Laura Lye that Colin and Finn, because she's like, can I do anything?
- 58:08[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, no, Colin and Finn went to New Haven to get like a bunch of stuff.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_00]: So that'll come back into play later, because there were, yeah, excited questions about.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, how fucked did I get here?
- 58:19[SPEAKER_01]: There's so many things I have questions about, but no, I'm pretty sure this is the moment when she says she has her laptop and she's going to stay up to date on her classes.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, just, just focus on you.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's kind of just like, okay.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_00]: So we go to Luke's, where we're ushered into the most boring party that's ever part.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_00]: Most silent party.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_00]: I love that he comes over and goes, how's the temperature?
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: Two cold?
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: How many people are cold?
- 58:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_01]: I love that she's like, it's my birthday, discord.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_00]: Marsha.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: So funny.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_00]: Marsha, Marsha, Marsha, Marsha, Marsha.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_00]: And so one of the girls coes up to Luke and asks him if she can use the bathroom.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, of course she can use the bathroom.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, well, it's in a restricted area.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_00]: We could lose our fingers.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, right, how many of you have to use about them in everybody where this is their everyone?
- 59:10[SPEAKER_00]: So they all land up and he's like, I'll be right back.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_00]: And he goes into the storage closet and calls Laura Lai, who's working on the website and says it's a disaster, which is also a very Emily thing to say.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's a disaster, like very intense.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_00]: No context, it's a disaster.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_00]: um yeah this is when she called her I think in Emily says hello and goes it's a disaster and Laura likes like what's a disaster she's like I don't have anything to wear on my date um and this is trying to use your line what hello so he's talking about how she's like where are you and he's like I'm in the storage closet I come in here and hide a lot
- 59:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember what this was in response to, but I love when she go, oh, when, oh, I know exactly what it was in response to.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, so what are they doing?
- 59:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, nothing.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's just they're just sitting there in line to go to the bathroom.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, well, did you have any like games?
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_00]: When he goes, no, I'd play in a birthday party.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the birthday party was the event.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I felt the party was the activity, but she goes, oh, Luke, I don't know what that was, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke, I don't know Luke
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_00]: Very weird.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and she's like, he, she basically says like, I have done this many times before I can do this, but is it okay?
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, what?
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, can I come over?
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes, come over.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Laura, like, come here.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_00]: And it's so interesting to me because this made me mad.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you shut her out of everything.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this may be mad.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_00]: And now the second that you need her, she's allowed to come over.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, now she can come because you're desperate and you have ruined the birthday party now she can come over and that part just makes me It really really bristles me so yes, it makes me even more upset when she finally comes and he meets her outside and he goes where's the stuff what stuff the party stuff
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_00]: left the elephants in the car.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_00]: I hope they cracked a window.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_00]: But I love that when he comes out he goes, it got worse.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_00]: It got worse after we hung up.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, fuck it in a gun worse.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_00]: And he's the way he's describing it with the clock radio like the alarm going off and it wouldn't work, but it caused like an uptake like he's like that caused a little bit of excitement and then it died out.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's very funny that uptick in the mood.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_00]: He says that was that was an uptick in the mood But it's just it's bad.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_00]: So Laura like comes in and instantly changes the energy Which of course she was going to she's so much fun and That's the thing about this like backhand and compliment he issued to her earlier in The last scene they were in together is that like you're so much fun She's gonna like you more than me and therefore I have to keep you away from her.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's like
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_00]: I would be so fearful to be myself, knowing full well that like of course this girl's gonna like her, everybody likes her.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I agree with Oralai later when she was like, I think Luke needed this.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think he needed to see that like I can be the fun, exciting person.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_01]: But the person that April's hugging is her dad.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like, at no point is he like, is she ever like, oh my gosh, Lorely, I think you so much are the best ever.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_01]: No, when Luke is the president, which I'll be at Lorely, picked out.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_01]: She runs to Luke and gives him a hug and is excited with Luke.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, she's, she has fun with Lorelie, but I just, I think he needed to see that he could stand next to her.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_01]: Just as her dad.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_01]: Totally out to try.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_01]: Lorelie has to try.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_00]: But what it did show her, what it did show him, rather, is that Lorelie does have to step in when things when he can't do it.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like the reason that, yeah, she hugged him because the card was signed, Luke.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because Laura is not going to take credit for that gift.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_00]: No, but she got her the gift.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_01]: And like does that not show him their team, it should.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, she says to him on the phone or like she says to him at some point.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_00]: I remember when like I'm the And then you're young, the email to your bullio.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_00]: She says it at the beauty shop and it's like, yeah, of course.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_00]: So let her in.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_00]: Let her do this.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I, the result of that, I will, I will give thoughts on later.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, because we have some place we have to be, but before that, she calls the birthday girl forward.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_01]: She says, I'm Laura Lime, you with salt and pepper shakers, which is just so interesting that she was like,
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_01]: You remember me?
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_01]: Remember when things got a little weird?
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's me.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_01]: But she just, she just rolls with it and she was like, yeah, you were bearing all black.
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, your eyes are very blue.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're all natural baby.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but they all get in a line and they say they're not allowed to go outside.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_00]: I love that she goes, we're not allowed to go outside or in the kitchen or anywhere else.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_00]: Or like when she goes, what?
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_00]: I just love it.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_00]: Kexia.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_00]: All the rules are different now.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_00]: Thank God.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_00]: All the rules.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_00]: Those rules are all the rules.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_00]: These rules have changed.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's just so good.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_00]: I also love that she puts a fuzzy tiara on her Much like the tiara's that the girl is where.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's very Gilmore girls of her and so.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_00]: They grabbed the hand of the person.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_01]: My sister and her husband are watching Gilmore Girls and they just watch she said it's the one where Rory has her birthday parties.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's called for a birthday parties.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_01]: She I was like do you finally understand my tear and I wore what we wore to our Atlanta show and she goes
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, yeah, it took me telling her life to finally recognize it was just like, oh my gosh, yes, the tiara is yes, it's like actually in the books.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I've got it.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_00]: I love that it's like grab the hand of the person behind you and here we go and she's like serpentine and I love when Luke goes is it this is this wise to serpentine and like when they're on the way out the door they're like everyone keep the same pace is how you break I guess he's such a wrong over stuck with Luke oh my god sorry darling oh by and they are not going very far they are just going to the beauty shop and
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_00]: and they bring them inside where everything is already set up.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_00]: These two girls look like so much fun and they have these little baskets and they say grab basket because today we're getting makeovers and these girls are fucking nuts which I would do.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah who would not and Leslie the beauty shop girly on the right.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_01]: She comes in to Grey's Anatomy.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_01]: I believe season
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_01]: 13.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_01]: She becomes an intern.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_01]: She's like a rich.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_01]: She's like a featured character.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_01]: So in a racie her I'm like, look, I forget my name is.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_01]: I just saw her Hannah's doing a rewatch, but she's like, raise an at me, which I love.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_00]: White, white, white, white.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_00]: But this is when Luke says, you're genius.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_00]: And Oralai says 13 year old girls and makeup.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, it's like a bet on, oh, let me say that again.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_00]: And Oralai says 13 year old girls and makeup.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a bet on secretariat.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_00]: It is.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's a sure thing and this is what she says.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the end to your gang.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_00]: The E-macked to your bullio, which if you don't know about E-macking bullios, it is an incredible ice cream place.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_00]: Get into it.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's a kind of like Mr. Ben and Mr. Jerry.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to say it's like men and Jerry's.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_00]: So we go back to the hospital and this is when I forgot that we see honor again.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you know, obviously in a separate location, this is a phone call.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_00]: She's smoking a cigarette
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, stress, that girl.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_00]: So honor is telling her about their flight and how they can't get in and until the following evening because of like, just delays and layovers and then Roy is like, did you talk to Mitchell and she's like, oh, yeah, I talk to him and he's not coming because he's against the life and death brigade.
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he's like, he's not coming.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_00]: Nope.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's at home.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's at home.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_00]: And he's not coming because he's against the life and death brigade.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_00]: So he's boycotting and Roy's like, wasn't he?
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_01]: She says that he knew when to grow up in accept responsibility and he thought the same of his precious boy, and he hasn't, and so he's boycotting, he's boycotting his injured son.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and this was when I was like, wait, we're honored to have been in a honeymoon for like four episodes now.
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, the rich, the rich do as they shall.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then she hangs up with honor who, you know, she'll keep her updated on her flight.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think that honor is really good sister.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_01]: She's like showing up, showing up, trying to get there as quickly as she can.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like if anyone that Logan would wanna see from his family, it's definitely honor.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_01]: honor could I feel like honor could make shit happen at that possibly in the same way Paris could that's nicer but the same time but she hangs up and she takes another phone out of her pocket because she has Logan's phone it seems yeah i literally was like break it's really angry and calls mentioned from Logan's phone
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because it was just funny to see a phone in her hand, and then she pulls out the other one.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_01]: But she falls into this.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_01]: Her other phone, because she has a sidekick now, and she has a flip phone.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_01]: I always thought it was Logan's phone.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_00]: I was okay.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_00]: I was Logan's phone.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_00]: Because why would she just, I mean, she could have had Mitchum's number from there, you know, the internship, but I don't know.
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_00]: So this is her calling from Logan's phone.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, could you imagine like imagine that though is like he got into an accident?
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_01]: He picks it up because like Logan imagine it says Logan Huntsburger comes across his phone.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_01]: There's no there's no like cute name for him.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_01]: Not even just Logan.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_01]: Probably his entire government name.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_01]: But and does he say hello?
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_01]: Is he saying Logan?
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_01]: Mitch and Huntsburger?
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, this is
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_00]: She's been waiting for this moment.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she's been waiting for an opportunity.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_00]: For the last couple of episodes?
- 1:09:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I feel she's finally using it for good.
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I think that she's always wanted to just say, you know, fuck you to this man.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she calls him a narcissistic ass.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_01]: Which is the none of the sick offense around him will have like the courage to say it.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_01]: That he's being a narcissistic ass and come down here and see your son now.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where we leave.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_00]: I've never met.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's all.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_00]: I've recently met you about the flip-on.
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_01]: I was literally about to say the same.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_01]: This is what Gen Z doesn't quite understand about the drama of like having a phone call, snapping it shut.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_01]: You can't really feel the effect of it, but you feel like you just sent it through the phone lines.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_01]: You feel like AT&T just delivered that smack of that flip phone.
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's just different.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's really, this is one of the worst part of an iPhone.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I can't just like smack it shut.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I miss it.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_00]: So we go back to Luke's where the makeovers are in full swing.
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I still wish I was at this party.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, I would have died to be at this part.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, now, but also when I was 13, I guess we should have a makeover party.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that would be so fun.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_00]: That would be a lot of fun.
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_01]: That would be a lot of fun.
- 1:11:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think it glitter hearts on there.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_00]: I love the way that April says, yeah, too, Laura, when she's like, do you want one?
- 1:11:25[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, yeah, they're just like already pals and that's the time part about all of this is that like, Lucas Wright, she loves her and she's a lot of fun and, you know,
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_00]: it's it's a shame because what she what April says to her about like you'd be wasted on a son like you have a daughter and it's like oh she's good because you'd be you've met her you'd be wasted on a son you remind me of my mom I think you'd like her I think you'd like her which is so heartbreaking
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's sad because like April doesn't really know how any of this is impacting for a lie at all.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't know how any of this is impacting any of them.
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_01]: I just would feel so like disbelieving if April didn't have any clue about the dynamics here.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like she has no idea that like,
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_01]: more or less being pushed out of this that her mom's being a certain way like I don't know I feel like 13-year-olds are a lot more observant than maybe this one is being led to believe I don't know maybe not maybe she maybe Lucas very new to her life so she's hasn't gotten like a true weed on him um I don't know because like I can
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Even from when I was younger, I could tell when like my mom's mood shifted just like me.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, of course.
- 1:12:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:12:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I just, therefore, I kind of wonder why April hasn't asked Luke about Laura lie?
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:12:59[SPEAKER_00]: Where if the question's been of like, where's your fiance?
- 1:13:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_00]: Or it's like, can I meet her?
- 1:13:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm at her that one day, why doesn't she come around anymore?
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, is it?
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_01]: Is it me?
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm either problem.
- 1:13:13[SPEAKER_01]: Is she not like me?
- 1:13:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't know.
- 1:13:15[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like there's, she's a little bit of an age that questions would be asked.
- 1:13:20[SPEAKER_01]: And she doesn't seem to have any sort of, um, qualms about asking questions.
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_01]: She seems very analytical and wants to get to the point of things.
- 1:13:31[SPEAKER_01]: Very direct.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, very direct.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_00]: for sure.
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_01]: So that's my only on it.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_01]: Qualm with April's role in all of this is that it just feel like she would be asking questions about questions.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just I love her here.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think Vanessa and Lauren have like a great little scene together.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_00]: And again, arguably the only one we're really going to see until a revival until the revival.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so true.
- 1:13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_00]: So we kind of cut to the next part of this scene where April's opening her presence.
- 1:14:05[SPEAKER_00]: She's loving them.
- 1:14:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's time for Luke's gift.
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_00]: She opens it because he's embarrassed.
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to get into it.
- 1:14:10[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to extend it?
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to open it tomorrow?
- 1:14:12[SPEAKER_01]: And that one girl goes bad idea, Hagrid.
- 1:14:17[SPEAKER_00]: hilarious and it's a book called The Way Things Work and a gift card to the discovery store and discovery store.
- 1:14:25[SPEAKER_00]: She loves it.
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_00]: Of course I remember the discovery store and she loves it gives him the biggest hug and he is so relieved and he knows it will relate at this of course.
- 1:14:36[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, thank you.
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_01]: And this is the moment where I'm like, you guys are a team.
- 1:14:41[SPEAKER_01]: Laura like can buy the presents and Luke can have his name signed to them.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_01]: And one day, Laura can sign her name under it too because they're a couple and that's what couples do.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_01]: They give you one gift.
- 1:14:51[SPEAKER_01]: I just like, yeah.
- 1:14:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, totally.
- 1:14:53[SPEAKER_01]: She could make this relationship.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_01]: She could find ways for you to get closer to April.
- 1:14:58[SPEAKER_01]: All of the, you're meeting her on a snow, snowy bench out on the playground.
- 1:15:04[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Laura, like it help you come up with ways to learn more about this girl throughout activities that would get closer to her.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this was the starting point, but making good there.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_01]: And Laura, like, her goes to sleep over.
- 1:15:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_00]: So every girl's the taste, every girl pulls their cell phone out.
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_01]: This is my favorite part.
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, well, for a single file line at the phone.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_01]: Or you can just all use your cell phones.
- 1:15:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:15:34[SPEAKER_01]: So funny.
- 1:15:35[SPEAKER_00]: And this is when they were like, look, I'm going to take off and he's like, no, why you should stay like, you should totally stay and she's like, are you sure like, I don't want to overstep and he's like, no, no, no, no, like, please stay.
- 1:15:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, honestly, it'll be better because then you can stay upstairs with the girls and I'll see, you know, I'll figure something else out which, you know, he's going to sleep in the storage closet.
- 1:15:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:15:55[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and she's like, okay, you know, he's the one that insists that she stays.
- 1:16:00[SPEAKER_01]: She, she is asked to stay, yeah, she was going to leave, but we move along but before we do, she has a cup and I was like, I want to coffee to be in it so bad, but I bet it's like lemonade or something.
- 1:16:15[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, that's true.
- 1:16:19[SPEAKER_00]: Kirk sets up the movie screen.
- 1:16:21[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty impeccable.
- 1:16:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, pretty.
- 1:16:23[SPEAKER_00]: I love to see that they watch 16 candles, but it's pretty and pink and then they cut too loose sleeping in the storage closet and we hear the girls going light as a feather, a stiff as a board, light as a feather, a stiff as a board.
- 1:16:39[SPEAKER_00]: So fun.
- 1:16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh, imagine Laura like a more like common during your birthday party and just making it so utterly fabulous.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_01]: I love it, I love it so much.
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_01]: me too.
- 1:16:50[SPEAKER_01]: And you know who loved it so much?
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_01]: Laura lie.
- 1:16:53[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we learned when you go to the dragon town.
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_01]: And she's recapping the suki, which does this feels, this feels like season four ish.
- 1:17:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like this, it feels very early seasons.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_01]: This recount to suki, but like not in like such a way that it feels like we're just getting an exposition about we just saw.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_01]: She's so excited.
- 1:17:12[SPEAKER_01]: And she's
- 1:17:17[SPEAKER_01]: That I love that is that the Trevor Fink is either one who ate soup to eat her bunnybell lip smackers Yeah chocolate and threw it up over her copy of the red badge of courage I love it just made me laugh and this is where Laura Lisa's apples awesome.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she is and like it just sucks because this could have been the start of a really good turning point for everybody April for more life for Luke
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_01]: But unfortunately, no, but this is what Lurela said.
- 1:17:49[SPEAKER_01]: She says, I'm glad I gave him this time, because like now he sees that we connected.
- 1:17:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I think this is only means good things.
- 1:17:57[SPEAKER_01]: And Sikis has been incredibly patient.
- 1:18:01[SPEAKER_01]: While at the same time being incredibly impatient, I love it when she says that.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, yeah, that's so me.
- 1:18:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's so impatient.
- 1:18:09[SPEAKER_00]: While at the same time being incredibly impatient.
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_01]: which is so true and I just feel like this is on the up and up, really.
- 1:18:15[SPEAKER_00]: No, things are really looking up.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and I love that this ends with Suki getting some bodybell lip snackers.
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_00]: Because she would have been so fun at that party.
- 1:18:25[SPEAKER_00]: She would have been so sad I wasn't there and like a part of me wishes that she had been because God that would have been fun.
- 1:18:30[SPEAKER_01]: The food she could have made, that would have been so great if like during like the before the sleepover Suki would have brought over like,
- 1:18:38[SPEAKER_01]: Cookies or cupcakes or something, like an individual, something, something or cupcake decorating, something like that.
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_01]: That would have been really fun.
- 1:18:47[SPEAKER_00]: So if you would have been great at that party, you would have been a lot of fun.
- 1:18:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I wanted to just see like the comedic relief that she brought in.
- 1:18:53[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well, I 100% because then I love when she goes Jackson is so getting under my drop on.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_00]: This is like the way that we're laughing.
- 1:19:01[SPEAKER_00]: You need the Dr. Pepper Bonnie Bell Lipsbacker.
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying I do, I do feel like a little bit like the upgraded version of Bonnie Belt is theglossaebomb.com because I have like birthday cake, I have just a regular, I have black cherry in front of me, I have wild fig and I just feel like that's like the don't version of it is smell nice and totally, but yeah, I do need the Dr. Pepper
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, it's very important.
- 1:19:31[SPEAKER_00]: So we go to Luke's and there's glitter in the pancakes.
- 1:19:36[SPEAKER_00]: There's glitter in these pancakes.
- 1:19:38[SPEAKER_00]: Also, cut me up in a cold banana while you're at it.
- 1:19:40[SPEAKER_01]: But I love that season.
- 1:19:41[SPEAKER_01]: I love that glitter in the pancakes when I was running the place.
- 1:19:45[SPEAKER_00]: but still if the cold banana left an impression it and it comes in she's clearly very upset and she asks to speak to Luke and private and he takes her upstairs and she gives him the business she if anyone is giving anyone the business it is she she got it over yeah and she uses language here that I fucking hate because she said I said that you could throw her a party
- 1:20:14[SPEAKER_00]: No, you didn't throw her a party.
- 1:20:16[SPEAKER_00]: You had your girlfriend throw her a party.
- 1:20:18[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, baby.
- 1:20:19[SPEAKER_01]: Why did she talk about Laura and I like she's a hooker that he picked her up the strength.
- 1:20:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:20:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're not seeing like this woman just walked in off the sidewalk and you, your daughter, a birthday party.
- 1:20:31[SPEAKER_00]: Let's first of all get our language straight.
- 1:20:32[SPEAKER_00]: She is not his girlfriend.
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_00]: She is his fiance.
- 1:20:35[SPEAKER_00]: So you already don't respect her.
- 1:20:38[SPEAKER_00]: You don't respect their relationship because you keep referring to her as his girlfriend.
- 1:20:42[SPEAKER_00]: not as his fiance.
- 1:20:44[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, let's that's this is for me where Anna enters her villain era.
- 1:20:52[SPEAKER_00]: But it's where she becomes a villain in my opinion.
- 1:20:54[SPEAKER_01]: If this is where she becomes a villain to you, I feel like I have to tell everyone that my villain origin story for Anna is Luke made her this way.
- 1:21:05[SPEAKER_01]: Luke does not say, hey, hey, hey, she's not my girlfriend.
- 1:21:08[SPEAKER_01]: She is my fiance.
- 1:21:09[SPEAKER_01]: We are getting married.
- 1:21:10[SPEAKER_01]: This is someone who is going to be an April's life.
- 1:21:13[SPEAKER_01]: And if you did not want someone from my life to be in her life, you need to specify that one hundred percent.
- 1:21:19[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm not allowed to bring the important people into my life, into her life, her being the bare minimum, I need that specified to me.
- 1:21:28[SPEAKER_01]: Totally.
- 1:21:29[SPEAKER_01]: If you can have autonomy with our daughter, then you need to tell me what I can't do, because not having my fiance, my future wife at this party, feels out of the realm of possibility to me.
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_01]: No, this is someone who is my partner.
- 1:21:44[SPEAKER_01]: like yeah you don't have to add into it.
- 1:21:47[SPEAKER_01]: No and that's I would never say you don't have one, but I just I just something about that that I just I that's for me where Anna was born of villain is because he made her that way.
- 1:22:03[SPEAKER_01]: All he had to do was stop it and the other part of that being early on he needed to set this up like hey I'm engaged I have a fiance
- 1:22:12[SPEAKER_01]: How does that fit?
- 1:22:13[SPEAKER_01]: How does she fit into this?
- 1:22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like how I or like not even asking her being like hey my fiance is also going to be a part of this because she's going to be her stepmom Yeah, and I feel like that's important to move towards that direction because she is important in my life.
- 1:22:29[SPEAKER_01]: She is here to stay
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:22:32[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason why she feels the way that she does, she can only feel the way that she does because of the way that she has been led to believe who Laura is.
- 1:22:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:22:39[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I just dropped in.
- 1:22:40[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, she's going to think she's just a girlfriend.
- 1:22:43[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I think I've misused hook her earlier.
- 1:22:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we should talk about women like that.
- 1:22:48[SPEAKER_01]: But it's just like, but it's just, you know, it's like, yeah, it's like, yeah, kind of like that, you know, and I, like it's like, this is clam, I picked him up off the side of, like, yeah, the gas station, our hand met over the dixie plates.
- 1:23:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, no, it's just, it's just, she's talking about the relies if she's very casual.
- 1:23:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:23:09[SPEAKER_00]: And also it's kind of like a disrespectful, disrespectful connotation.
- 1:23:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't like that Luke lets her do it.
- 1:23:16[SPEAKER_01]: And that's really my problem, is like I will totally accept that Anna becomes a villain, and it's Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster is like Lucas Frankenstein.
- 1:23:27[SPEAKER_01]: He had every right to say, hey, I know that this is what you have thought about my relationship, but this is not my girlfriend.
- 1:23:36[SPEAKER_01]: This is my fiance.
- 1:23:37[SPEAKER_01]: We have been together for years, and we are getting married.
- 1:23:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I would love for April to be involved in that, but don't talk about her like that.
- 1:23:46[SPEAKER_01]: Don't talk about her like she's not important.
- 1:23:48[SPEAKER_01]: Don't talk about her like she's just some random person.
- 1:23:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:23:50[SPEAKER_01]: This is going to be April's step mom.
- 1:23:54[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:23:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I just like, this is where Luke loses his backbone and I'm just sure it is.
- 1:23:57[SPEAKER_00]: With Anna, he always loses his backbone, but for me, I'm kind of like what came first the chicken or the egg because yeah, it is a situation where like Anna never told
- 1:24:07[SPEAKER_00]: Luke about April.
- 1:24:09[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, there's a lot of helplessness there.
- 1:24:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think on his end that he's like, you have all the terror away in any moment, yes, you're holding all of the cards and I am just the man who you've been treating like a sperm donor for the last 12 years.
- 1:24:26[SPEAKER_00]: And he doesn't find his voice until season seven, which was to say that.
- 1:24:30[SPEAKER_00]: The custody battle and so I think that that is part of the reason why he like then eventually moves back in the direction of lower lies because he's finally finally finding his voice again.
- 1:24:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, in this relationship with Anna, so that's also kind of where I put it on her as well, because I think he genuinely is just walking on eggshells with her.
- 1:24:48[SPEAKER_01]: I, and I totally understand that that he feels like at any moment, she could just be ripped away from him because she does say something along the lines of like she has autonomy when it comes to April and I
- 1:25:01[SPEAKER_01]: I, and I understand that helplessness and I understand that we have not seen Luke act in this way that we want him to in any point since April arrived, but I really would have loved for him to step up and be like, that's my fiance.
- 1:25:15[SPEAKER_01]: One hundred years back in the name.
- 1:25:17[SPEAKER_00]: correct because when she says with a woman I've never even met like that she like one of my supposed to say to these other parents that I let them like spend the night with a woman I've never even met and I wrote in all caps who's fault is that it's Luke's it's Luke's but at the same time it's like a woman I've never even met.
- 1:25:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying stop speardown her that way.
- 1:25:35[SPEAKER_01]: But like you, it's the same thing as like, okay, like you know the mom of the girls in your dance class.
- 1:25:41[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know they're dad, but you're going to go send them over to their family's house for a party.
- 1:25:49[SPEAKER_00]: Based on her, her outlook on their relationship, which we'll talk about in a few minutes, I think it's also just Anna's view on Laura and Luke's relationship as a whole.
- 1:26:00[SPEAKER_00]: She does not forget that.
- 1:26:01[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get there.
- 1:26:01[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get there in a sec.
- 1:26:02[SPEAKER_00]: So Luke of course is like Anna with the fuck like it's just very he's very hurt.
- 1:26:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's very hurt by how angry she is She's so much he can't even look at that.
- 1:26:12[SPEAKER_00]: She's so bad.
- 1:26:13[SPEAKER_00]: She can't even look at him.
- 1:26:14[SPEAKER_00]: I also want to be like calm down
- 1:26:16[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to be like this could have been a phone call.
- 1:26:19[SPEAKER_00]: But also like your daughter had a great time.
- 1:26:21[SPEAKER_00]: Then I actually think that's what makes you mad.
- 1:26:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's kind of what's making you mad sweetheart.
- 1:26:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's nice.
- 1:26:28[SPEAKER_01]: But speaking to what Laura I said or was said to Laura like earlier about like she'll like you better.
- 1:26:33[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I have things to say about that.
- 1:26:36[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:26:37[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, let's go back to the hospital.
- 1:26:39[SPEAKER_00]: We go to the hospital and I love this scene because there's no, there are no words no words raised at the vending machine.
- 1:26:47[SPEAKER_00]: She gets something.
- 1:26:48[SPEAKER_00]: She turns she sees him come in.
- 1:26:51[SPEAKER_00]: Mitch, Mitch just up.
- 1:26:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe he was at work.
- 1:26:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they locked guys.
- 1:26:59[SPEAKER_00]: She points in the direction of the
- 1:27:02[SPEAKER_00]: room.
- 1:27:03[SPEAKER_01]: She's very flippantly.
- 1:27:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like, well, there it is.
- 1:27:07[SPEAKER_00]: There it is.
- 1:27:07[SPEAKER_00]: Go on in.
- 1:27:10[SPEAKER_00]: And he looks at her.
- 1:27:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, there's lots of shame there for him because he's a very proud man.
- 1:27:16[SPEAKER_01]: She's got also anger, but he's not going to say anything because she just yelled at her.
- 1:27:22[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
- 1:27:23[SPEAKER_01]: And she's not back and down.
- 1:27:25[SPEAKER_01]: And he goes inside.
- 1:27:26[SPEAKER_01]: And that's their entire scene.
- 1:27:27[SPEAKER_01]: Oh,
- 1:27:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then we go to lower lies.
- 1:27:34[SPEAKER_00]: We're lower light is like still riding the high of this party that they have.
- 1:27:37[SPEAKER_01]: She's yes, she's had such a good time.
- 1:27:40[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't seen her like this in a while.
- 1:27:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:27:43[SPEAKER_00]: And just like also I mentioned this in Lassie and I love this look on lower light.
- 1:27:46[SPEAKER_00]: She looks so beautiful.
- 1:27:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's a classic like cardigan wrapped dress for our girl.
- 1:27:50[SPEAKER_00]: She just looks so, so, so cute.
- 1:27:51[SPEAKER_01]: She looks so lower like she feels like lower light here.
- 1:27:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she's got the Chinese food, Paul.
- 1:27:56[SPEAKER_00]: And because they're like, it's just good.
- 1:27:58[SPEAKER_00]: The vibes are high.
- 1:27:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then the first time she's felt this way in a while.
- 1:28:02[SPEAKER_00]: And this is what makes my heart.
- 1:28:04[SPEAKER_01]: And it's that she's having this silly conversation about feeling like she wants to take out boxes because it feels like Feng Shui for the noodles, but all she doesn't want to clean up, but that's only half of it.
- 1:28:13[SPEAKER_01]: This is so lower light.
- 1:28:14[SPEAKER_01]: And then she flows down and she's like,
- 1:28:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, hello, because he's not a good man, because he just came off of this conversation with Anna, or rather he just came off of work, which like, you know, I'm sure he was doing about this conversation with Anna, and he tells her, you know, how mad he is.
- 1:28:40[SPEAKER_00]: you were there and she didn't know that you were going to be there and she has a problem with the fact that you threw the party each summer met you and literally apologized us and I wanted to throw up.
- 1:28:52[SPEAKER_00]: I said, where are you apologizing?
- 1:28:54[SPEAKER_00]: I hate all of this.
- 1:28:55[SPEAKER_01]: I hate this mostly because Lucas like
- 1:28:59[SPEAKER_01]: coming to the realization that he was like in his mind without saying out loud that he was right that to not involve her that it was the problem that he brought her into and now he's learned his lesson and he's not going to do it again and that's kind of like what is being insinuated here without actually saying that exactly and he's like I love some beer my truck.
- 1:29:21[SPEAKER_01]: And we're just left here like, oh, you just crushed her.
- 1:29:25[SPEAKER_01]: She finally felt like, oh, I'm not going to get a place.
- 1:29:28[SPEAKER_00]: My heart hurts so much for her here.
- 1:29:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man.
- 1:29:32[SPEAKER_00]: I do wish though.
- 1:29:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I wish she stuck up for her here.
- 1:29:36[SPEAKER_00]: But I also wish she stuck up for herself here a little bit.
- 1:29:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:29:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, it's hard for her.
- 1:29:41[SPEAKER_00]: We, of course, I understand what she did.
- 1:29:42[SPEAKER_01]: Barely, you had her, like, she just got her legs back under her.
- 1:29:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:29:46[SPEAKER_01]: It felt like when that scene was soupy in terms of her relationship with Luke.
- 1:29:53[SPEAKER_01]: And now this is what this is what she gets.
- 1:29:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like the first moment of feeling good in this situation that it's just left her feeling just dragged along.
- 1:30:05[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, no, my heart really hurts for her here.
- 1:30:08[SPEAKER_00]: And it will only continue to, as we've seen.
- 1:30:13[SPEAKER_00]: So we go back to the hospital, where Brie goes into Logan's room after Mitchem has laughed and he's like,
- 1:30:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like my dad showed up.
- 1:30:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:30:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's only moderately condescending in Australia.
- 1:30:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yay.
- 1:30:24[SPEAKER_01]: Hey.
- 1:30:25[SPEAKER_00]: What a win.
- 1:30:26[SPEAKER_01]: So like normal, but he just seems to be in a good mood and a good, um, he's in good spirits.
- 1:30:30[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's the leather chair or perhaps the suit of armor.
- 1:30:34[SPEAKER_00]: The fact that I literally said to Colin and Finn bring this night like, where did he come from?
- 1:30:40[SPEAKER_01]: They absolutely.
- 1:30:42[SPEAKER_01]: I always like, I literally have always thought of like the technicality, the logistics of this, of like they went back to New Haven.
- 1:30:50[SPEAKER_01]: I assumed that they got some like clothes for Rory, like going through Rory's underwear drawer, like, just like imagining this.
- 1:30:56[SPEAKER_01]: But then they were like, hey, I've never read once this blue sweater to wear.
- 1:31:00[SPEAKER_01]: But I bet even more Logan would love to wake up to have a suit of armor in his room.
- 1:31:06[SPEAKER_00]: I love the idea that it's like let's bring Logan's apartment to him and yeah, yeah, let's do it.
- 1:31:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think they took the train or do you think they drove?
- 1:31:15[SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine them just on the train with this suit of armor next month?
- 1:31:19[SPEAKER_01]: These boys don't even know what a train is.
- 1:31:21[SPEAKER_01]: I know, never read a train.
- 1:31:23[SPEAKER_01]: Someone drove them there, but I just like, yeah, I totally imagine them like going to the hospital, bringing the suit of armor in and someone like, uh, you can't do that.
- 1:31:32[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, this is going to Logan Huntsburgers room.
- 1:31:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, 100% right this way.
- 1:31:36[SPEAKER_01]: Do that.
- 1:31:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:31:37[SPEAKER_01]: But it's just going to the Huntsburger Wing.
- 1:31:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, we're worried Logan have this reconciliation moment where, you know, she's she's grappling with the fact that like she should have stopped him and he's like nothing was going to stop me and she's like, no, but I was just being mad at you to stop you from doing something really stupid because I knew this was dangerous and I didn't stop you.
- 1:31:58[SPEAKER_01]: and i think it's really interesting the way this comes about is she'd like it looks really sad and he's like i'm feeling better like what's what's wrong and she says i'm sorry i didn't think i was trying to punish you but i was trying to punish you
- 1:32:14[SPEAKER_01]: and she says, I was so cold I could have lost you.
- 1:32:16[SPEAKER_01]: It just so true and heartbreaking, but he says that he feels like he's the one that's growing things up here and he doesn't know what's going on with him but he'll get better and he just needs her to bear with him.
- 1:32:31[SPEAKER_01]: And that's kind of the end of the scene.
- 1:32:33[SPEAKER_01]: And then I feel like this was like one of the parts of the episode that I really was kind of confused by, that like they just stand there kind of holding his hand a little bit and then like briefly kind of like brushes his hair but he kind of like doesn't want it and kind of like looks away a little bit.
- 1:32:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, could you just kiss the man on the forehead or something?
- 1:32:54[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I was reading for like, did he break his lips?
- 1:32:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he couldn't give him a little swoosh.
- 1:32:59[SPEAKER_01]: He just fell, screaming, bleeding onto a cliff.
- 1:33:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:33:04[SPEAKER_01]: Off a cliff, rather, not onto it, fell off of it.
- 1:33:06[SPEAKER_01]: On the rocks, it seems.
- 1:33:08[SPEAKER_01]: They can't just give them a little kiss, just like that, just like a really light kiss or just like cuddle his head, lean your head on his.
- 1:33:17[SPEAKER_01]: We just lingered here for so long for them to do nothing, but the little hair swipe was nice, but just seemed like you kind of like, they didn't communicate very well, because I don't know, Matt just seemed like he was not in do it.
- 1:33:29[SPEAKER_01]: Just kiss him sugar.
- 1:33:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, kiss him sugar.
- 1:33:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's what was missing for me here in that like, you know,
- 1:33:37[SPEAKER_00]: The Logan and Bray scenes admittedly feel a little flat.
- 1:33:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there are some really good moments, but for the most part on the whole, they felt kind of flat to me.
- 1:33:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I understand that like, Logan's in a fucking hospital bed.
- 1:33:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what does he mean to get up and do a jig?
- 1:33:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he's not.
- 1:33:49[SPEAKER_00]: But Matt's acting for his life in the bed.
- 1:33:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, 100%.
- 1:33:53[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 1:33:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like for those reasons it's like you don't want to take it too far because the stakes are already high and the drama is there, but it's not like a general hospital.
- 1:34:01[SPEAKER_00]: We're not watching a soap opera and I'm very appreciative of that.
- 1:34:04[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that at the end I wanted a little bit more passion between these two people who like you almost literally lost it.
- 1:34:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like she says I could have lost you.
- 1:34:13[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted him to like scoot over make room in his bed for her like to sit next to him or just like her rest her head on top of his or to kiss or just to have this tender moment between the two of them that really signified how scary it was for the both of them because
- 1:34:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's very genuinely kind of died.
- 1:34:32[SPEAKER_01]: And this is what she's realizing.
- 1:34:35[SPEAKER_01]: She was like, I was so cold to you.
- 1:34:36[SPEAKER_01]: And their previous interaction I realized now was about him being like, I don't want you to miss at the paper.
- 1:34:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want you to fall behind in school.
- 1:34:45[SPEAKER_01]: You have so much going on.
- 1:34:46[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, it's fine.
- 1:34:48[SPEAKER_01]: And she's finally come around to her feelings.
- 1:34:50[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, I'm sorry.
- 1:34:51[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't realize I was trying to punish you, but I was.
- 1:34:53[SPEAKER_01]: And like, I needed someone to say I love you.
- 1:34:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I needed that and that was like the only thing in this scene that I was just like
- 1:35:01[SPEAKER_01]: I liked everything leaning up to it, but I needed it to be like, I love you kiss.
- 1:35:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, 100.
- 1:35:09[SPEAKER_01]: It was just, and we just lingered too long on this scene that was not going anywhere.
- 1:35:13[SPEAKER_00]: I agreed.
- 1:35:14[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 1:35:14[SPEAKER_01]: I do like the hair, the hair cute.
- 1:35:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:35:17[SPEAKER_00]: I know there were, there were moments where there were like, there was some tenderness, just not enough for me.
- 1:35:22[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't enough.
- 1:35:23[SPEAKER_00]: It was, I wanted more.
- 1:35:25[SPEAKER_01]: If you're going to have him fall off a cliff.
- 1:35:27[SPEAKER_00]: sort of say more to my brother.
- 1:35:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're already like, I think so high.
- 1:35:32[SPEAKER_00]: Give us the service.
- 1:35:33[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the stakes got low after he jumped because he was on the ground.
- 1:35:37[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I need I need to kiss because I think in the beginning of the next episode, she is a lot more cutesy.
- 1:35:45[SPEAKER_01]: There is like this moment that I probably love.
- 1:35:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:35:47[SPEAKER_01]: But in this one, I just needed
- 1:35:50[SPEAKER_01]: I also needed to feel comforted and reminded these two because like this little hairbrush and he's like it just felt like things were not good.
- 1:35:59[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:36:01[SPEAKER_01]: So it feels like we were leaving things in uncertain spot and don't leave me like that.
- 1:36:06[SPEAKER_01]: Kiss them sugar.
- 1:36:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah that's my thought of the scene.
- 1:36:10[SPEAKER_00]: So we go to the last scene where Laura Life finally steps into Anastore which is bold.
- 1:36:15[SPEAKER_01]: Shocked.
- 1:36:15[SPEAKER_01]: This was the last scene.
- 1:36:17[SPEAKER_00]: No, I knew this was going to be the last scene, but I was just like, wow, we can get before we get to the end.
- 1:36:23[SPEAKER_01]: But yes, she walks in.
- 1:36:26[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, oh, cute, story, cute stuff.
- 1:36:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for something.
- 1:36:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm like actually pretty pleasant interaction.
- 1:36:32[SPEAKER_00]: And as soon as Anna hears who she is, her demeanor completely shifts.
- 1:36:36[SPEAKER_01]: Completely shifts.
- 1:36:37[SPEAKER_00]: And this new person comes out.
- 1:36:39[SPEAKER_00]: This is why I.
- 1:36:42[SPEAKER_00]: do not think that it's just about the fact that those girls were left alone with someone she's never met.
- 1:36:49[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that as a mother, that's like a really hard thing to explain to other people.
- 1:36:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just about that.
- 1:36:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think it's necessarily like what I've said this whole time is that like part of what I love that they've done with the April storyline or the Anna storyline rather is that they never made it about their interest in one another.
- 1:37:05[SPEAKER_00]: They never made it about like Anna's feelings for Luke or Luke has feelings for Anna.
- 1:37:08[SPEAKER_00]: There's never any wrestling with those romantic feelings.
- 1:37:11[SPEAKER_00]: Which is so glad.
- 1:37:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:37:12[SPEAKER_00]: Thank God.
- 1:37:12[SPEAKER_00]: Because I just think that would be so on the nose and also just like the top.
- 1:37:16[SPEAKER_00]: Way to go.
- 1:37:17[SPEAKER_00]: But Anna is very threatened by this woman.
- 1:37:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:37:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, you've no reason to be.
- 1:37:25[SPEAKER_00]: Laura, like, introduces herself as Luke's fiance.
- 1:37:28[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:37:29[SPEAKER_00]: She does.
- 1:37:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's very clear that Anna does not take Luke and lower-rise relationship seriously.
- 1:37:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I credit some of that to Luke because he hasn't been taking it seriously in regards to April.
- 1:37:41[SPEAKER_00]: But so how she says, yeah, engaged is not married.
- 1:37:45[SPEAKER_00]: That is clearly a her that is her perspective.
- 1:37:49[SPEAKER_00]: That is a her thing.
- 1:37:50[SPEAKER_00]: That is not a that is not a Luke thing.
- 1:37:53[SPEAKER_00]: She says people get engaged all the time.
- 1:37:56[SPEAKER_01]: But I would say Anna is pretty a master manipulator of this conversation.
- 1:38:01[SPEAKER_01]: Kichie's, because Laura Lysing, you have nothing to worry about.
- 1:38:04[SPEAKER_01]: Anna says, I'm sure you're a great person.
- 1:38:06[SPEAKER_01]: But, oh, and she said, imagine you become hurt.
- 1:38:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, because she was like, I'm a single mom too.
- 1:38:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, great.
- 1:38:13[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine you become her best friend and then you disappear on her.
- 1:38:17[SPEAKER_01]: And what am I supposed to do?
- 1:38:18[SPEAKER_01]: I have a heartbroken kid.
- 1:38:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I really do understand that.
- 1:38:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I've never been in a situation of like,
- 1:38:24[SPEAKER_01]: a parent who has, you know, other people in their life that is not my other parent, like a divorced or separated parents, and like had someone come into my life, and like the instability of that.
- 1:38:38[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't necessarily think in this instance, it's Anna's responsibility to protect her from that, that this is her dad's fiance,
- 1:38:55[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 1:38:56[SPEAKER_01]: How many times have you been engaged in it?
- 1:38:58[SPEAKER_01]: Tell us the backstory of this little feeling.
- 1:38:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know what's interesting is she says, until I'm getting married again, I'm not introducing.
- 1:39:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting.
- 1:39:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting.
- 1:39:08[SPEAKER_00]: So it's been married before.
- 1:39:10[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know to who, and I don't think we're really fine now.
- 1:39:13[SPEAKER_00]: But I find that part interesting because
- 1:39:16[SPEAKER_00]: She clearly feels so similar to how Laura used to feel about introducing.
- 1:39:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:39:23[SPEAKER_00]: Way friends too.
- 1:39:25[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so we got the two.
- 1:39:27[SPEAKER_00]: We're anti-max came on the scene.
- 1:39:29[SPEAKER_00]: And that was just hard to avoid because he hates max.
- 1:39:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Max gives people the egg.
- 1:39:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:39:35[SPEAKER_00]: The moment when I hit you, you said not this guy.
- 1:39:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it was in a huge fan of Max.
- 1:39:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, either.
- 1:39:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think that like that's the part of it that must be so infuriating within the narrative for Laura like she's like, I know exactly how you fucking feel because I used to do the same thing.
- 1:39:50[SPEAKER_01]: And this is where the master manipulator comes in.
- 1:39:52[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, oh, see you understand exactly.
- 1:39:54[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, oh, okay, that's not what I meant by what I said when I understood.
- 1:39:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yes, I understand, but that doesn't mean that I'm just going to like, school into the shadows.
- 1:40:03[SPEAKER_00]: And she says that in partings, like that she's just been like lurking and lingering in the shadows.
- 1:40:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, you know, everything that I've been in, you know, like, she's clearance Thomas or something.
- 1:40:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:40:11[SPEAKER_00]: And what I hate is that Anna says, after you're married, then we can deal with that.
- 1:40:17[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 1:40:18[SPEAKER_00]: So you're not going to let your daughter know this woman until after they say I do.
- 1:40:23[SPEAKER_01]: So this is what I was going to say.
- 1:40:25[SPEAKER_01]: This is the part that, again, I have no context for this.
- 1:40:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not a single mother.
- 1:40:29[SPEAKER_01]: I've never had a separated parent.
- 1:40:32[SPEAKER_01]: But I feel like the relationship that Anna and April have would be, I would really not trust my mom if she introduced me to someone,
- 1:40:42[SPEAKER_01]: As they were getting married of like we have the date set like we're just gonna happen like you're coming to the wedding You're gonna I'm marrying this guy that you don't know.
- 1:40:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, have a relationship with and I'm trusting that you guys are gonna get along after I have gotten along
- 1:40:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sure there are so many instances where a parent has met someone else and they're so great to them, but the children cannot connect to this person.
- 1:41:09[SPEAKER_01]: And that would totally turn me off from the relationship if you can't connect to my kids.
- 1:41:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, I know that Anna and April clearly have a different relationship in the reliability and I definitely feel like, Laura, I would want to worry to feel.
- 1:41:24[SPEAKER_01]: connected to this person, but I just got the feeling that April would want our Anna would want that too to make April feel comfortable in her future, in this relationship, and her response to it is just kind of a grieges.
- 1:41:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's not because it's not, I don't know you and I need to know you more.
- 1:41:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to know you unless you're Luke's wife.
- 1:41:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I, I just would have felt like it would have been like, I, I need to know more about you.
- 1:41:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, before this can happen.
- 1:41:55[SPEAKER_01]: And like, if you're so sure, how come I haven't heard anything about you?
- 1:41:59[SPEAKER_01]: Is what I wanted it to be?
- 1:42:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I wanted it to less be.
- 1:42:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm the villain here and more like, let's turn this background on Luke.
- 1:42:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you're saying to me that you're his fiance and this is a sure thing, but I have never met you.
- 1:42:11[SPEAKER_01]: I have never heard him talk about you.
- 1:42:13[SPEAKER_01]: Why why is this the first instance that we're meeting if you are so important to him?
- 1:42:19[SPEAKER_01]: How come I never never talked about you before?
- 1:42:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I wish would have been here because the idea that Anna's the villain is just too easy for the both of them to like push it off on her.
- 1:42:30[SPEAKER_01]: Totally.
- 1:42:30[SPEAKER_01]: I needed it to come back to be like, why have I not heard about you?
- 1:42:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I needed it that too.
- 1:42:36[SPEAKER_01]: I needed her to hurt more life via Luke and none hurt her on her own because like, I don't fucking care about you Anna.
- 1:42:44[SPEAKER_00]: No, and I don't think anybody's necessarily invested here in Anna.
- 1:42:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know if you're meant to be invested in Anna.
- 1:42:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if that was the point.
- 1:42:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I agree with you that I think we need to be a little bit more like I've I because she does say like I've never met you, but it's not in the context of like Luke has never brought you around April and so you can imagine my shock when I find out that you're alone with them in the space having just met my daughter so that's a scary thing and like like that part of it I kind of understand but it's like her being like I haven't really heard anything about you and that makes me question the legitimacy of your relationship and
- 1:43:20[SPEAKER_00]: that I would understand.
- 1:43:21[SPEAKER_00]: I would understand a little bit more because then again, it puts it on Luke.
- 1:43:26[SPEAKER_00]: Because this is really Luke's doing it.
- 1:43:28[SPEAKER_00]: However, yeah, Anna's reaction to this in this way leads me down that what came to first the chicken or the egg park because it's like, is this just who Anna is?
- 1:43:37[SPEAKER_00]: Is this inherently
- 1:43:38[SPEAKER_00]: who she is.
- 1:43:39[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't take anybody seriously until they're married until, you know, they're rocking on the aisle.
- 1:43:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like, because that's just a very archaic kind of mindset that I would not expect this one to have.
- 1:43:50[SPEAKER_00]: No, considering that she's very much a mirror of Lorelie in a lot of ways.
- 1:43:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think that, like, I'm trying to think of how Lorelie reacted to Sherry.
- 1:44:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the only reason that, like,
- 1:44:04[SPEAKER_00]: Laura Lye, well, there were two reasons that Laura Lye was kind of bad first to share.
- 1:44:08[SPEAKER_00]: It was because there were always going to be feelings between her and her status not the case here with Lou and Anna, but it was also because of Roy, she's like, you know, when you're off with your stupid stepmother in Bracebridge dinner, and it's like, whoa, you are wagging.
- 1:44:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think there's a little bit of that here.
- 1:44:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a little bit of that within Anna because I feel like for both Luke and Anna, they don't, they both look at Laura lying and feel threatened.
- 1:44:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I don't want April getting attached to you in two very different ways, but both kind of with the same goal in mind.
- 1:44:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I don't want her liking you more than me.
- 1:44:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the only I feel the same way and the only reason I would say no that I don't feel this way is because of like the parting line of like April had a really good time at the party she did say that she was like if it's any consolation she'd a great time at the party and it's like, okay, she you're kidding out a great time at the party.
- 1:45:00[SPEAKER_00]: Let her hang out with her.
- 1:45:02[SPEAKER_00]: But it is that is to me her saying like she had a really great time because she had a really great time It makes me nervous bring your on my kid.
- 1:45:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because I don't know if you're really great time But fuck off.
- 1:45:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she lay because when she says engages at married I literally wrote shut the fuck up Anna with like 65 ends and that is what that is what makes me that's what makes her feel like the villain
- 1:45:26[SPEAKER_01]: is engaged in your married.
- 1:45:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that it's that it's that packaging of engages at married and then when you're married we can figure this out.
- 1:45:37[SPEAKER_01]: as a little bit all I wrote next to it.
- 1:45:39[SPEAKER_01]: Excuse me, that it's just truly crazy.
- 1:45:42[SPEAKER_01]: And this is from the perspective of two people who do not have kids who have never been in that situation before.
- 1:45:48[SPEAKER_01]: So if any of you feel the sway or fear like let us know or if you were raised by an Anna and you didn't meet your mom's partners, if you will, until they were getting married or if you have personal experience with that, would love to hear about that.
- 1:46:02[SPEAKER_01]: But I think in terms of the narrative,
- 1:46:05[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to hear about this from Nancy's perspective, because though the circumstances were different, Nancy and Brett's dad were married for many years, and then they ended up splitting, and both each of them got remarried, and I am curious to hear what her perspective is on something.
- 1:46:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yes.
- 1:46:22[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
- 1:46:22[SPEAKER_00]: Because though the circumstances were very different, obviously,
- 1:46:27[SPEAKER_00]: Billy knew that he had kids, Lou, who could have found out, you know, with a very well, I would be curious to hear her thoughts on Anna's perspective as a mom.
- 1:46:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:46:37[SPEAKER_01]: As like bringing someone new into their life and to have a new, brought into their life by their dad to be very interesting.
- 1:46:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'd love to hear from Nancy on that, but I know, again, within the narrative, though, I really wish that they would have brought Anna back to being evicted the villain, but by bringing up every insecurity that Laura lies ever had, that he's never mentioned you, hmm.
- 1:47:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:47:04[SPEAKER_01]: Why did I just learn about you after this party?
- 1:47:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if even if she said something as simple as like, I didn't even really know you existed until April brought you up.
- 1:47:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that would have hit really hard.
- 1:47:15[SPEAKER_00]: And would it have made Anna look like a bitch?
- 1:47:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:47:17[SPEAKER_00]: But it would have really put into perspective.
- 1:47:20[SPEAKER_00]: I just, she's not existed.
- 1:47:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's like, and that's all Luke.
- 1:47:25[SPEAKER_01]: I really, really, really, really wish that's what it was.
- 1:47:27[SPEAKER_01]: Because I would have just loved to be like, I have to be honest with you.
- 1:47:30[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even, at Luke had never even mentioned you.
- 1:47:34[SPEAKER_01]: The first time I heard about you being in his life was when April told me.
- 1:47:39[SPEAKER_01]: that would just spend like woman to woman.
- 1:47:43[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that would have slayed me.
- 1:47:45[SPEAKER_01]: Cause she would have been like, oh, yeah, okay.
- 1:47:48[SPEAKER_00]: But this makes Anna look like the villain, which it does.
- 1:47:51[SPEAKER_00]: She is a little bit like again, we can have sympathy for her because she's being protective of her child, but at the same time, I'm kind of like everything you're saying is actually making it seem like you're a little jealous and threatened by this woman and not from a romantic standpoint,
- 1:48:09[SPEAKER_00]: Because you don't take her relationship with Luke seriously, but we're to that come from and sounds like it also kind of comes from you Just not taking me seriously because of your damage and what you've been through maybe in the past.
- 1:48:20[SPEAKER_00]: Did you have a better with your damage, Anna?
- 1:48:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that's the end of the episode So that is indiddly so abruptly and I was like, oh We're done I never watched in this episode.
- 1:48:35[SPEAKER_01]: I know so what do you think?
- 1:48:39[SPEAKER_01]: I really love this episode.
- 1:48:40[SPEAKER_01]: I always do.
- 1:48:41[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that as a romance lover, I just think that the perilous nature of their of a Logan and then their reunion being this, that if we were going to go into the drama, we needed a
- 1:48:57[SPEAKER_01]: Lean a little bit into the romance and the tenderness of their relationship, but I always will say, Gilmourkels doesn't always have the best romance.
- 1:49:06[SPEAKER_01]: They are family drama, and so I think in this instance, it was more about the family drama in terms of Logan's storyline than necessarily, I felt like the boring Logan of it was kind of
- 1:49:21[SPEAKER_01]: But I do wish there was a bit more there, but overall I really like it.
- 1:49:25[SPEAKER_01]: Me too.
- 1:49:26[SPEAKER_00]: I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10 just solely for the lack of like the Vory and Logan scenes admittedly.
- 1:49:33[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't really care about.
- 1:49:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I of course care about them very deeply and a lot, but on the same time, I just wish I wish we would have gotten more from them.
- 1:49:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like, just kiss him, if she had kissed him there, I think that a lot of my quams would have gone away.
- 1:49:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it would have felt like we were building towards something.
- 1:49:54[SPEAKER_00]: Totally.
- 1:49:54[SPEAKER_01]: And that's really what it was.
- 1:49:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we needed.
- 1:49:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I needed a little bit more of that, which is why I docket half a point put on the whole great episode.
- 1:50:00[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like I was in the Gilmore World again.
- 1:50:03[SPEAKER_00]: I loved that feeling, the town troubadour, all of it.
- 1:50:06[SPEAKER_01]: The troubadour really just brought it up to a nine.
- 1:50:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so for me it's like a 9.5 because the Logan and race scenes were well written and I also think that like it's setting David Rosenthall up for success.
- 1:50:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I overall I
- 1:50:24[SPEAKER_01]: think that it's also building really well, like even if I think they were well written scenes, I think there could have been, they could have been bolstered up a little bit to like feel that like tension, worries not very good with her emotions in general, so I would have like to see a little bit more from her, but I think that we're building really well to where we're going in the next.
- 1:50:43[SPEAKER_01]: to episodes with Logan and Rory and Mitchum, and we wished it could just be Rory and Logan, but it really Mitchum is a big part of where their story is going, so I like the setup of the last two episodes from this.
- 1:50:57[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I would give you one point five as well, just because
- 1:51:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's not quite a 10.
- 1:51:02[SPEAKER_01]: It just doesn't have that 10 feeling and upon for the reflection from the last episode from I get a sidekick.
- 1:51:11[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of feel like that also didn't have a 10 feeling for me I think I did give it an 9.5, you know, but I think I think that I
- 1:51:19[SPEAKER_01]: probably would dock it down to a nine after further reflection because I was like I didn't feel like a ten.
- 1:51:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like it didn't feel like it was approaching ten to me.
- 1:51:27[SPEAKER_01]: But maybe it is a 9.5, but like both ways I just like didn't feel like people these were like ten.
- 1:51:31[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing is that I could put both of these on a 9.5 scale because I do think that these are both really well done up to two or top tier for sure.
- 1:51:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:51:41[SPEAKER_00]: I just have that ten field that I felt in
- 1:51:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know if I'm going to give partings a 10, I don't know what we're doing close or I can't believe that we're going closer, but we're not there yet, the next episode of course is driving.
- 1:51:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to go more from partings, well, behind the scenes, we're a little bit far away from recording partings itself, because we're a little bit ahead of our schedule in terms of because we're going to do with our vicious trops, a live recording of partings.
- 1:52:12[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are going to watch me sweat live.
- 1:52:15[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 1:52:16[SPEAKER_01]: It reminds me of when in how Luzagantian days you can feel the sweat and they go to the sling down concert and that's so fun.
- 1:52:26[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, we do have driving Miss Gilmore which I'm interested to see how you feel about it but I actually did think you were going to like this one as I made my way through it.
- 1:52:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's right.
- 1:52:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I did really like it.
- 1:52:37[SPEAKER_00]: I knew I would like it.
- 1:52:38[SPEAKER_00]: I love the birthday parties up.
- 1:52:40[SPEAKER_00]: Love a good birthday party episode.
- 1:52:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I had a good time 9.5 at a 10 for me.
- 1:52:45[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm excited to watch this next episode and then we have a little bit of a break.
- 1:52:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like Haley said.
- 1:52:50[SPEAKER_00]: For us, we're courty eyes.
- 1:52:52[SPEAKER_00]: Not for you guys, but we're taking like, I think almost two weeks.
- 1:52:56[SPEAKER_00]: after recording the next episode before we watch Partying's Live.
- 1:53:00[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's going to be really exciting to kind of like take a little bit of air from it and go into this very pivotal, very important episode for Haley and for the series.
- 1:53:08[SPEAKER_01]: And that'll be for Haley the series the show like for the podcast.
- 1:53:12[SPEAKER_01]: I just feel like it's it's almost got too much pressure.
- 1:53:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like we should just get a bit we should not we're not going to skip it.
- 1:53:20[SPEAKER_01]: But before we move on, we had one cup of coffee.
- 1:53:24[SPEAKER_00]: One cup of coffee, we have 45 cups of coffee for this season, which is looking rather, to think we can get 10 in the next episode.
- 1:53:32[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, maybe we might be able to.
- 1:53:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe it's a normal male or maybe it's a male model.
- 1:53:37[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, because yours is 55 minus 54, right?
- 1:53:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so maybe we're going to both be losers.
- 1:53:46[SPEAKER_00]: These are a loser double.
- 1:53:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's what happened in season four.
- 1:53:48[SPEAKER_01]: So that is what happened, but thank you to our super cool party people for Yes, we're so excited should we bid them super cool a deal Super cool party people bid you super cool a dude Okay, okay, love you.
- 1:54:05[SPEAKER_01]: Bye.
- 1:54:05[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, love you.
- 1:54:06[UNKNOWN]: Bye
