  welcome

• 1:58
  Thanks

  for

• 2:00
  Yeah,
• 2:00
  looking
• 2:00
  forward
• 2:01
  to
• 2:01
  it.
• 2:01
  And
• 2:01
  you
• 2:01
  know
• 2:02
  we're
• 2:02
  going
• 2:02
  to
• 2:02
  take
• 2:02
  a
• 2:02
  deep

  dive
• 2:03
  into

  the

• 2:04

• 2:04
  this
• 2:04
  evening,
• 2:04
  folks.
• 2:05
  And
• 2:05
  I
• 2:06
  guess,
• 2:06
  Brendan,
• 2:06
  the
• 2:06
  best
• 2:06
  place
• 2:07
  to
• 2:07
  to
• 2:08
  kick
• 2:08
  this
• 2:08
  off
• 2:08
  is
• 2:08
  where
• 2:09
  did
• 2:09
  the
• 2:09
  name
• 2:09
  of
• 2:09
  the
• 2:09
  fly
• 2:10
  come
• 2:10
  from?
• 2:14
  For
• 2:14
  a
• 2:15
  while
• 2:15
  I
• 2:15
  was
• 2:16
  kind
• 2:16
  of
• 2:16
  rebelling
• 2:17
  against
• 2:18
  naming
• 2:18
  flies,
• 2:19
  you
• 2:19
  know,
• 2:19
  as
• 2:19
  you
• 2:20
  do
• 2:20
  when
• 2:20
  you
• 2:20
  think
• 2:20
  you're
• 2:20
  too
• 2:21
  cool
• 2:21
  for
• 2:21
  that
• 2:21
  kind
• 2:21
  of
• 2:21
  stuff.
• 2:22
  And
• 2:23
  when
• 2:24
  the
• 2:24
  the
• 2:24
  ax
• 2:24
  video
• 2:25
  came
• 2:25
  out
• 2:25
  and
• 2:25
  it
• 2:25
  was
• 2:25
  called
• 2:25
  the
• 2:26
  Leggy
• 2:26
  Hair
• 2:26
  Day.
• 2:26
  I
• 2:27
  figured
• 2:28
  that
• 2:28
  probably
• 2:29
  wasn't
• 2:29
  the
• 2:29
  right
• 2:29
  move,
• 2:30
  so
• 2:30
  a
• 2:30
  buddy
• 2:30
  of
• 2:31
  mine
• 2:31
  just
• 2:31
  texted
• 2:32
  me
• 2:32
  out
• 2:32
  of
• 2:32
  the
• 2:32
  blue
• 2:32
  and
• 2:32
  was
• 2:33
  like,
• 2:33
  my.
• 2:33
  My
• 2:34
  buddy
• 2:34
  Matt
• 2:34
  Wren,
• 2:34
  he
• 2:35
  was
• 2:35
  like,
• 2:35
  hey,
• 2:36
  why
• 2:36
  don't
• 2:36
  you
• 2:36
  just
• 2:36
  call
• 2:36
  it
• 2:36
  the
• 2:37
  nut
• 2:37
  job?
• 2:38
  Because
• 2:38
  it's
• 2:39
  basically
• 2:39
  a
• 2:39
  circus
• 2:39
  peanut.
• 2:40
  And
• 2:41
  I
• 2:41
  was
• 2:41
  like,
• 2:41
  oh,
• 2:42
  yeah,
• 2:42
  a
• 2:42
  bit
• 2:42
  of
• 2:42
  a
• 2:42
  nut
• 2:43
  job
• 2:43
  and
• 2:44
  kind
• 2:44
  of
• 2:45
  only
• 2:45
  like
• 2:45
  to
• 2:45
  fish
• 2:46
  with
• 2:46
  nut
• 2:46
  jobs,
• 2:46
  so.
• 2:47
  Makes
• 2:47
  sense.
• 2:48
  Yeah.
• 2:48
  And
• 2:48
  it
• 2:48
  doesn't
• 2:49
  take
• 2:49
  you
• 2:49
  down
• 2:49
  the
• 2:49
  whole
• 2:49
  Adamms
• 2:50
  family,
• 2:50
  you
• 2:50
  know,
• 2:51
  Cousin
• 2:51
  It
• 2:51
  thing,
• 2:51
  right?
• 2:53
  Yeah,
• 2:54
  they're.
• 2:54
  Schultz
• 2:55
  and
• 2:55
  Silverio
• 2:56
  were
• 2:56
  big
• 2:56
  on
• 2:56
  the
• 2:56
  cousin
• 2:57
  it,
• 2:57
  and
• 2:57
  while
• 2:58
  it
• 2:58
  does
• 2:58
  look
• 2:58
  like
• 2:59
  cousin
• 2:59
  it,
• 3:00
  I
• 3:00
  think
• 3:01
  it's
• 3:01
  kind
• 3:01
  of
• 3:01
  a
• 3:01
  negative
• 3:02
  connotation.
• 3:03
  Yeah,
• 3:03
  fair
• 3:04
  enough.
• 3:04
  We
• 3:04
  could
• 3:04
  have
• 3:04
  called
• 3:04
  it
• 3:05
  the
• 3:05
  Uncle
• 3:05
  Fester.
• 3:09
  Right.
• 3:09
  So.
• 3:10
  So,
• 3:10
  you
• 3:10
  know,
• 3:11
  if
• 3:11
  we
• 3:11
  step
• 3:11
  back
• 3:11
  in
• 3:11
  the
• 3:12
  time
• 3:12
  machine,
• 3:12
  you
• 3:12
  know,
• 3:13
  what
• 3:13
  was
• 3:13
  the
• 3:13
  hole
• 3:13
  in
• 3:13
  your
• 3:14
  fly
• 3:14
  box
• 3:14
  you
• 3:14
  were
• 3:14
  trying
• 3:15
  to
• 3:15
  fill
• 3:15
  when
• 3:15
  you
• 3:15
  started
• 3:16
  designing
• 3:16
  the
• 3:16
  nut
• 3:16
  job?
• 3:19
  So
• 3:19
  it
• 3:20
  wasn't
• 3:20
  really
• 3:20
  like
• 3:21
  I
• 3:21
  had
• 3:23
  an
• 3:24
  idea
• 3:24
  to
• 3:24
  create
• 3:25
  that
• 3:25
  fly.
• 3:25
  It
• 3:25
  was.
• 3:26
  I
• 3:26
  was
• 3:27
  very
• 3:28
  regular
• 3:28
  on
• 3:28
  Logjam
• 3:29
  Live
• 3:29
  at
• 3:29
  the
• 3:29
  time
• 3:30
  and
• 3:31
  was
• 3:31
  staying
• 3:31
  at
• 3:31
  my
• 3:31
  friend
• 3:32
  Frank's
• 3:32
  house
• 3:33
  and
• 3:33
  didn't
• 3:34
  have,
• 3:34
  like,
• 3:34
  my
• 3:35
  big
• 3:35
  bag
• 3:35
  of
• 3:35
  hen
• 3:35
  saddles,
• 3:36
  but
• 3:36
  I
• 3:36
  did
• 3:36
  have
• 3:36
  craft
• 3:37
  fur.
• 3:38
  And
• 3:38
  everyone
• 3:38
  was
• 3:39
  talking
• 3:39
  about
• 3:40
  the
• 3:40
  bad
• 3:40
  hair
• 3:41
  day
• 3:41
  for,
• 3:41
  like,
• 3:41
  weeks
• 3:42
  on
• 3:42
  Log
• 3:42
  Jam.
• 3:43
  So
• 3:44
  I
• 3:44
  was
• 3:44
  like,
• 3:44
  what
• 3:44
  if
• 3:45
  I
• 3:45
  made,
• 3:45
  like
• 3:45
  an
• 3:45
  articulated
• 3:46
  bad
• 3:46
  hair
• 3:46
  day?
• 3:47
  And
• 3:49
  so
• 3:49
  the
• 3:50
  first
• 3:50
  version
• 3:50
  had,
• 3:52
  I
• 3:53
  think,
• 3:53
  three
• 3:53
  tines
• 3:54
  of
• 3:54
  craft
• 3:54
  fur
• 3:54
  on
• 3:54
  the
• 3:54
  front.
• 3:55
  Usually
• 3:56
  I.
• 3:56
  I
• 3:57
  tie
• 3:58
  stuff
• 3:58
  way
• 3:58
  too
• 3:58
  dense
• 3:58
  until
• 3:59
  I
• 3:59
  fish
• 3:59
  it,
• 3:59
  and
• 3:59
  then
• 3:59
  I'm
• 3:59
  like,
• 4:00
  oh,
• 4:00
  yeah,
• 4:00
  I
• 4:00
  need
• 4:00
  to
• 4:00
  take
• 4:00
  some
• 4:01
  stuff
• 4:01
  out
• 4:01
  of
• 4:01
  here.
• 4:01
  So
• 4:03
  after
• 4:03
  fishing
• 4:04
  the
• 4:04
  fly
• 4:04
  that
• 4:05
  I
• 4:05
  tied
• 4:05
  on
• 4:05
  Log
• 4:05
  Jam
• 4:05
  and
• 4:06
  it
• 4:06
  was
• 4:06
  kind
• 4:06
  of
• 4:06
  doing
• 4:06
  donuts,
• 4:08
  I
• 4:08
  was
• 4:08
  like,
• 4:08
  well,
• 4:09
  it,
• 4:09
  like
• 4:09
  the
• 4:09
  profile
• 4:10
  looked
• 4:10
  good.
• 4:11
  I
• 4:11
  took
• 4:12
  one
• 4:12
  tie
• 4:12
  in
• 4:13
  out.
• 4:14
  I
• 4:14
  think
• 4:14
  I
• 4:14
  just
• 4:14
  razored
• 4:15
  that
• 4:15
  fly.
• 4:16
  And
• 4:17
  when
• 4:17
  it
• 4:18
  went
• 4:18
  back
• 4:18
  out
• 4:18
  with
• 4:19
  it,
• 4:19
  it
• 4:19
  was
• 4:20
  like
• 4:21
  basically
• 4:21
  like
• 4:21
  a
• 4:21
  little
• 4:22
  glide
• 4:22
  bait.
• 4:23
  And
• 4:23
  it.
• 4:23
  It
• 4:24
  casted
• 4:24
  a
• 4:24
  lot
• 4:24
  easier
• 4:25
  than
• 4:25
  the,
• 4:26
  you
• 4:26
  know,
• 4:26
  the
• 4:26
  hen
• 4:26
  saddle
• 4:27
  flies.
• 4:27
  So
• 4:29
  from
• 4:29
  a
• 4:29
  guide
• 4:29
  perspective,
• 4:30
  it
• 4:30
  was
• 4:30
  like,
• 4:31
  like,
• 4:31
  it's
• 4:31
  not,
• 4:32
  it's
• 4:32
  not
• 4:32
  like
• 4:32
  casting
• 4:32
  a
• 4:33
  woolly
• 4:33
  bugger,
• 4:33
  but
• 4:33
  it's
• 4:34
  a
• 4:34
  little
• 4:34
  bit
• 4:35
  easier
• 4:35
  than,
• 4:36
  you
• 4:36
  know,
• 4:36
  a
• 4:36
  soaked,
• 4:37
  like,
• 4:37
  leggy
• 4:37
  boy
• 4:38
  or
• 4:38
  something
• 4:38
  like
• 4:38
  that.
• 4:39
  Yeah.
• 4:39
  Plus,
• 4:40
  I
• 4:40
  mean,
• 4:40
  you
• 4:40
  know,
• 4:40
  particularly
• 4:41
  with
• 4:41
  COVID
• 4:41
  and
• 4:42
  afterwards,
• 4:42
  I
• 4:43
  mean,
• 4:43
  it's
• 4:43
  been
• 4:43
  pretty
• 4:44
  difficult
• 4:44
  to
• 4:44
  get
• 4:45
  high
• 4:45
  quality
• 4:45
  saddles,
• 4:45
  and
• 4:46
  they're
• 4:46
  not
• 4:46
  cheap.
• 4:48
  Yeah.
• 4:48
  And
• 4:48
  that's
• 4:48
  the
• 4:48
  big
• 4:49
  thing
• 4:49
  too.
• 4:49
  Like,
• 4:51
  it's.
• 4:53
  It's
• 4:53
  just
• 4:53
  a
• 4:53
  different
• 4:55
  material
• 4:55
  than
• 4:56
  it
• 4:56
  used
• 4:56
  to
• 4:56
  be,
• 4:56
  in
• 4:57
  my
• 4:57
  opinion.
• 4:57
  And
• 4:59
  not
• 5:00
  like
• 5:01
  worrying
• 5:01
  about
• 5:02
  wasting
• 5:02
  a
• 5:03
  good
• 5:03
  saddle
• 5:03
  on
• 5:04
  a
• 5:04
  fly
• 5:04
  tying
• 5:04
  order
• 5:05
  or
• 5:05
  like,
• 5:06
  I
• 5:06
  I
• 5:06
  would,
• 5:07
  like,
• 5:07
  be
• 5:07
  tying
• 5:07
  a.
• 5:07
  A
• 5:08
  yellow
• 5:08
  leggy
• 5:08
  boy
• 5:09
  and
• 5:09
  be
• 5:09
  like,
• 5:09
  well,
• 5:10
  like,
• 5:10
  I
• 5:10
  only
• 5:10
  got,
• 5:11
  like,
• 5:11
  three
• 5:11
  more
• 5:11
  of
• 5:11
  these
• 5:11
  left
• 5:12
  in
• 5:12
  this
• 5:12
  saddle,
• 5:12
  and
• 5:12
  then
• 5:12
  I
• 5:13
  gotta
• 5:13
  wait
• 5:13
  six
• 5:13
  months
• 5:14
  for
• 5:14
  the
• 5:14
  next
• 5:14
  drop.
• 5:14
  You
• 5:15
  know,
• 5:15
  it
• 5:15
  was
• 5:16
  kind
• 5:16
  of
• 5:16
  a.
• 5:17
  It's
• 5:17
  a
• 5:17
  weird
• 5:18
  place
• 5:18
  to
• 5:19
  be
• 5:19
  when
• 5:19
  you,
• 5:19
  like,
• 5:19
  rely
• 5:19
  on
• 5:20
  these
• 5:20
  things.
• 5:21
  Yeah,
• 5:21
  it's
• 5:22
  a
• 5:22
  terrible
• 5:22
  addiction,
• 5:22
  right?
• 5:25
  It
• 5:25
  used
• 5:25
  to
• 5:26
  be.
• 5:26
  Yeah.
• 5:26
  Yeah.
• 5:28
  Plenty
• 5:28
  of
• 5:29
  big
• 5:30
  bags
• 5:30
  of
• 5:30
  hen
• 5:31
  saddles
• 5:31
  laying
• 5:31
  around.
• 5:32
  Yeah.
• 5:32
  And
• 5:33
  so,
• 5:33
  you
• 5:33
  know,
• 5:33
  you
• 5:33
  mentioned
• 5:34
  the
• 5:34
  Bad
• 5:34
  Hair
• 5:34
  Day,
• 5:34
  but,
• 5:35
  you
• 5:35
  know,
• 5:35
  tell
• 5:35
  us
• 5:35
  a
• 5:36
  little
• 5:36
  bit
• 5:36
  more
• 5:36
  about
• 5:36
  kind
• 5:36
  of
• 5:37
  the
• 5:37
  anglers
• 5:37
  and
• 5:37
  tires
• 5:38
  that
• 5:38
  inspired
• 5:38
  the
• 5:39
  design.
• 5:41
  So,
• 5:42
  yeah,
• 5:42
  the
• 5:42
  Bad
• 5:42
  Hair
• 5:43
  Day
• 5:43
  is
• 5:43
  a
• 5:43
  fly
• 5:43
  by
• 5:43
  Dave
• 5:44
  Pinchkowski,
• 5:45
  and
• 5:45
  it's
• 5:45
  like
• 5:46
  the
• 5:47
  ultimate
• 5:47
  simplistic
• 5:48
  fly
• 5:49
  that
• 5:49
  has
• 5:50
  dense
• 5:50
  density
• 5:51
  in
• 5:51
  the
• 5:51
  front
• 5:51
  of
• 5:51
  the
• 5:51
  head
• 5:52
  utilizing
• 5:53
  the
• 5:53
  crafter
• 5:53
  butts.
• 5:54
  And
• 5:54
  I
• 5:55
  obviously,
• 5:55
  like,
• 5:56
  completely
• 5:56
  just
• 5:56
  adapted
• 5:57
  that
• 5:57
  to
• 5:57
  the
• 5:57
  circus
• 5:58
  peanut
• 5:58
  platform.
• 6:01
  My
• 6:02
  idea
• 6:03
  or
• 6:03
  the.
• 6:04
  When
• 6:04
  I
• 6:04
  first
• 6:04
  started
• 6:04
  using
• 6:05
  shank
• 6:05
  hook
• 6:06
  hook
• 6:07
  platforms,
• 6:08
  that
• 6:08
  was
• 6:08
  with
• 6:08
  the
• 6:08
  Lafkus
• 6:09
  Brush
• 6:09
  head
• 6:09
  Deceiver.
• 6:11
  And
• 6:11
  that
• 6:11
  fly
• 6:12
  really
• 6:12
  changed,
• 6:14
  like,
• 6:14
  what
• 6:15
  I
• 6:15
  thought
• 6:15
  of
• 6:15
  fly
• 6:16
  tying
• 6:16
  because
• 6:16
  I.
• 6:16
  I
• 6:17
  came
• 6:17
  into
• 6:17
  the
• 6:17
  game,
• 6:18
  you
• 6:18
  know,
• 6:18
  pretty
• 6:19
  recently.
• 6:19
  Like,
• 6:20
  2017,
• 6:21
  2018
• 6:22
  is
• 6:22
  when
• 6:22
  I
• 6:23
  started
• 6:23
  really
• 6:23
  getting
• 6:23
  into
• 6:24
  tying.
• 6:24
  And,
• 6:24
  like,
• 6:24
  I
• 6:24
  was
• 6:25
  spending
• 6:26
  more
• 6:26
  time
• 6:26
  tying
• 6:26
  than
• 6:28
  doing
• 6:28
  anything
• 6:28
  else
• 6:28
  when
• 6:28
  I
• 6:29
  was
• 6:29
  off
• 6:29
  the
• 6:29
  water.
• 6:29
  So
• 6:30
  I
• 6:30
  was
• 6:30
  big
• 6:31
  into
• 6:31
  tying,
• 6:31
  you
• 6:31
  know,
• 6:31
  changers
• 6:32
  and
• 6:32
  swinging
• 6:33
  Ds
• 6:33
  and
• 6:33
  kind
• 6:34
  of
• 6:34
  like,
• 6:34
  cut
• 6:34
  my
• 6:34
  teeth
• 6:34
  on
• 6:35
  those
• 6:35
  flies.
• 6:37
  And
• 6:37
  I'm.
• 6:37
  I'm
• 6:37
  glad
• 6:38
  I
• 6:38
  started
• 6:38
  with,
• 6:38
  like,
• 6:38
  you
• 6:39
  know,
• 6:39
  the
• 6:39
  more
• 6:39
  complex
• 6:39
  stuff
• 6:40
  because
• 6:40
  it's
• 6:40
  made
• 6:41
  everything
• 6:41
  else
• 6:41
  a
• 6:41
  little
• 6:41
  bit
• 6:41
  more
• 6:43
  natural,
• 6:43
  I
• 6:43
  guess.
• 6:44
  Like,
• 6:44
  kind
• 6:45
  of
• 6:45
  like
• 6:45
  starting
• 6:45
  with
• 6:45
  changers
• 6:46
  and
• 6:46
  then
• 6:46
  going
• 6:46
  to
• 6:46
  peanuts.
• 6:47
  Um,
• 6:48
  but
• 6:48
  the.
• 6:48
  Yeah,
• 6:48
  the
• 6:49
  Lafus
• 6:49
  Brush
• 6:49
  Head
• 6:49
  Deceiver
• 6:51
  is
• 6:51
  by
• 6:52
  far
• 6:52
  the
• 6:52
  easiest
• 6:53
  fly
• 6:53
  to
• 6:53
  make
• 6:54
  a
• 6:55
  fish
• 6:55
  want
• 6:55
  to
• 6:55
  eat.
• 6:56
  It's
• 6:56
  just,
• 6:56
  like,
• 6:57
  kicks
• 6:57
  really
• 6:57
  well,
• 6:58
  really
• 6:58
  easy
• 6:58
  to
• 6:58
  cast.
• 6:59
  It's
• 7:00
  like
• 7:00
  a
• 7:00
  guide's
• 7:00
  dream.
• 7:01
  Um,
• 7:02
  and
• 7:02
  then
• 7:03
  I
• 7:03
  guess
• 7:03
  that
• 7:03
  brings
• 7:03
  me
• 7:04
  to.
• 7:05
  So,
• 7:06
  yeah,
• 7:06
  like,
• 7:06
  change
• 7:06
  your
• 7:07
  platform
• 7:08
  swinging
• 7:08
  Ds.
• 7:10
  I
• 7:10
  really
• 7:10
  liked
• 7:11
  Shel's
• 7:12
  Fluttercraft.
• 7:14
  That
• 7:14
  was
• 7:14
  a
• 7:14
  fly
• 7:14
  that
• 7:14
  I
• 7:15
  tied,
• 7:15
  like,
• 7:15
  two
• 7:15
  of,
• 7:16
  and
• 7:17
  that's
• 7:17
  a
• 7:17
  craft
• 7:17
  fur
• 7:17
  base
• 7:18
  fly.
• 7:20
  The
• 7:20
  crafty
• 7:21
  changer.
• 7:21
  I
• 7:22
  pretty
• 7:22
  much
• 7:23
  learned
• 7:24
  from
• 7:24
  Schultz
• 7:25
  by
• 7:26
  getting
• 7:26
  some
• 7:26
  feedback
• 7:27
  on
• 7:27
  the.
• 7:27
  The
• 7:27
  heads
• 7:27
  being
• 7:28
  too
• 7:28
  narrow,
• 7:29
  and
• 7:31
  I
• 7:31
  guess
• 7:31
  bring
• 7:32
  it
• 7:32
  all
• 7:32
  home
• 7:32
  with
• 7:32
  the
• 7:32
  circus
• 7:33
  pea.
• 7:33
  I
• 7:33
  mean,
• 7:35
  that's
• 7:35
  essentially
• 7:37
  like
• 7:37
  the.
• 7:38
  The
• 7:38
  chassis
• 7:38
  of
• 7:38
  the
• 7:38
  nut
• 7:39
  job.
• 7:39
  So,
• 7:39
  like,
• 7:40
  you
• 7:40
  got
• 7:40
  a
• 7:40
  shank
• 7:41
  in
• 7:41
  the
• 7:41
  back,
• 7:42
  the
• 7:42
  big
• 7:42
  splayed
• 7:43
  marabou
• 7:43
  tail.
• 7:44
  Just
• 7:44
  like
• 7:45
  I
• 7:45
  learned
• 7:45
  from
• 7:46
  seeing
• 7:46
  Russ
• 7:47
  tie
• 7:47
  and,
• 7:47
  you
• 7:48
  know,
• 7:48
  seeing
• 7:48
  his
• 7:48
  flies
• 7:49
  first
• 7:49
  on
• 7:49
  Instagram.
• 7:51
  And
• 7:51
  then
• 7:51
  you
• 7:51
  have
• 7:52
  your
• 7:52
  chenille
• 7:52
  core
• 7:53
  and
• 7:54
  then
• 7:54
  a
• 7:54
  veil
• 7:54
  and
• 7:56
  that
• 7:57
  recipe,
• 7:57
  I
• 7:58
  mean,
• 7:58
  you
• 7:58
  can
• 7:58
  do
• 7:58
  a
• 7:59
  lot
• 7:59
  of
• 7:59
  different
• 7:59
  things
• 7:59
  with
• 7:59
  that.
• 7:59
  But
• 8:00
  I.
• 8:01
  For
• 8:01
  the
• 8:01
  swim
• 8:01
  fly
• 8:02
  and
• 8:02
  getting
• 8:02
  that,
• 8:02
  like,
• 8:02
  walk
• 8:03
  the
• 8:03
  dog,
• 8:04
  like,
• 8:05
  neutral
• 8:05
  buoyancy
• 8:06
  suspending
• 8:06
  action,
• 8:07
  I
• 8:07
  think
• 8:07
  craft
• 8:08
  fair
• 8:08
  might
• 8:08
  be.
• 8:09
  Well,
• 8:09
  I
• 8:10
  know
• 8:10
  it's
• 8:10
  my
• 8:10
  favorite
• 8:10
  material
• 8:11
  for
• 8:11
  the
• 8:11
  job.
• 8:13
  Got
• 8:13
  it.
• 8:13
  And,
• 8:13
  you
• 8:14
  know,
• 8:14
  you've
• 8:14
  touched
• 8:14
  on
• 8:14
  this
• 8:14
  a
• 8:15
  little
• 8:15
  bit.
• 8:15
  And
• 8:15
  obviously
• 8:16
  after
• 8:16
  that
• 8:16
  first
• 8:16
  nut
• 8:17
  job,
• 8:17
  you
• 8:17
  weren't
• 8:17
  trying
• 8:17
  to
• 8:17
  get
• 8:18
  it
• 8:18
  to
• 8:18
  swim
• 8:18
  donut.
• 8:19
  So
• 8:19
  as
• 8:19
  you
• 8:20
  were
• 8:20
  tuning
• 8:20
  the
• 8:20
  pattern,
• 8:21
  you
• 8:21
  know,
• 8:21
  what
• 8:21
  was
• 8:22
  the
• 8:22
  specific
• 8:22
  bite
• 8:23
  trigger
• 8:23
  you
• 8:24
  were
• 8:24
  trying
• 8:24
  to
• 8:24
  incorporate
• 8:25
  into
• 8:25
  the
• 8:25
  fly?
• 8:27
  So
• 8:27
  my
• 8:28
  favorite
• 8:28
  thing
• 8:28
  to
• 8:28
  do
• 8:29
  in
• 8:29
  the
• 8:29
  springtime
• 8:30
  is,
• 8:30
  like,
• 8:30
  fish
• 8:31
  a
• 8:31
  bright
• 8:31
  fly.
• 8:31
  You
• 8:31
  know,
• 8:31
  it's.
• 8:32
  This
• 8:32
  is
• 8:32
  a
• 8:32
  very
• 8:32
  common
• 8:34
  pastime
• 8:35
  for
• 8:35
  people,
• 8:35
  but
• 8:36
  fishing
• 8:36
  a
• 8:36
  bright
• 8:37
  fly
• 8:37
  that
• 8:37
  kicks
• 8:38
  so,
• 8:39
  like,
• 8:39
  it
• 8:40
  might.
• 8:40
  It
• 8:40
  might
• 8:40
  kick
• 8:41
  the
• 8:41
  length
• 8:41
  of
• 8:41
  the
• 8:41
  fly
• 8:43
  like
• 8:43
  most
• 8:43
  flies
• 8:44
  do.
• 8:44
  And
• 8:44
  then
• 8:44
  you
• 8:44
  have,
• 8:45
  like,
• 8:45
  the
• 8:45
  flutter
• 8:46
  craft,
• 8:47
  which
• 8:47
  was
• 8:47
  really
• 8:48
  cool
• 8:48
  because
• 8:49
  it
• 8:50
  had
• 8:50
  a
• 8:51
  resin
• 8:51
  coated
• 8:52
  mallard
• 8:52
  flank
• 8:52
  back,
• 8:54
  and
• 8:54
  it
• 8:54
  was,
• 8:54
  like,
• 8:54
  tied
• 8:54
  upside
• 8:55
  down
• 8:55
  on
• 8:55
  a
• 8:55
  jig
• 8:56
  hook
• 8:56
  with
• 8:56
  a
• 8:56
  ton
• 8:56
  of
• 8:56
  weight.
• 8:57
  And
• 8:58
  that
• 8:58
  fly,
• 8:58
  because
• 8:59
  of
• 8:59
  all
• 8:59
  that
• 8:59
  weight,
• 9:00
  could
• 9:00
  actually
• 9:00
  move
• 9:01
  further
• 9:01
  than
• 9:01
  the
• 9:01
  length
• 9:02
  of
• 9:02
  the
• 9:02
  fly.
• 9:02
  More
• 9:03
  like
• 9:03
  a
• 9:03
  glide
• 9:03
  bait.
• 9:06
  So
• 9:06
  after
• 9:07
  fishing
• 9:07
  that,
• 9:08
  my
• 9:09
  expectations
• 9:10
  kind
• 9:10
  of
• 9:10
  changed,
• 9:11
  but
• 9:11
  I
• 9:11
  never
• 9:11
  tied
• 9:12
  another
• 9:12
  one.
• 9:13
  So
• 9:13
  I
• 9:13
  ended
• 9:14
  up
• 9:14
  fishing
• 9:14
  a
• 9:14
  lot
• 9:14
  of
• 9:14
  craft
• 9:15
  fur
• 9:15
  changers.
• 9:16
  And
• 9:17
  that
• 9:17
  kind
• 9:17
  of
• 9:18
  gave
• 9:18
  me,
• 9:18
  like,
• 9:20
  the
• 9:20
  best
• 9:20
  of
• 9:20
  both
• 9:21
  worlds,
• 9:21
  like,
• 9:21
  not
• 9:22
  tying
• 9:22
  with
• 9:22
  all
• 9:22
  that
• 9:22
  resin,
• 9:23
  but
• 9:23
  still
• 9:25
  having,
• 9:26
  like,
• 9:26
  a
• 9:26
  big
• 9:26
  glowy
• 9:27
  fly
• 9:27
  that
• 9:28
  kicks
• 9:28
  really
• 9:28
  well
• 9:28
  and,
• 9:29
  like,
• 9:29
  has
• 9:29
  a
• 9:29
  really
• 9:29
  predictable,
• 9:30
  like,
• 9:30
  glide
• 9:31
  bait
• 9:31
  action.
• 9:33
  Got
• 9:33
  it.
• 9:33
  And
• 9:34
  so,
• 9:34
  you
• 9:34
  know,
• 9:34
  why
• 9:34
  don't
• 9:35
  you
• 9:35
  walk
• 9:35
  us
• 9:36
  through
• 9:36
  kind
• 9:36
  of
• 9:36
  that,
• 9:37
  you
• 9:37
  know,
• 9:38
  not
• 9:38
  the
• 9:39
  original
• 9:39
  one
• 9:39
  that
• 9:39
  did
• 9:39
  the
• 9:40
  donuts,
• 9:40
  because
• 9:40
  no
• 9:40
  one
• 9:40
  wants
• 9:41
  to
• 9:41
  fish
• 9:41
  that.
• 9:41
  Right.
• 9:42
  But
• 9:43
  kind
• 9:43
  of
• 9:43
  the
• 9:43
  current
• 9:44
  state
• 9:44
  of
• 9:44
  the
• 9:44
  art
• 9:44
  pattern
• 9:45
  maybe
• 9:45
  kind
• 9:45
  of
• 9:46
  from
• 9:46
  the
• 9:46
  back
• 9:46
  to
• 9:46
  the
• 9:46
  front.
• 9:50
  So
• 9:50
  selecting
• 9:51
  the
• 9:51
  right
• 9:51
  pieces
• 9:52
  of
• 9:52
  marabou.
• 9:54
  And
• 9:54
  one
• 9:55
  thing
• 9:55
  I
• 9:55
  learned
• 9:55
  was,
• 9:56
  like,
• 9:57
  when
• 9:57
  you're
• 9:57
  using
• 9:58
  a
• 9:58
  full,
• 9:58
  like,
• 9:59
  2
• 9:59
  inches
• 10:00
  for
• 10:00
  your
• 10:00
  marabu
• 10:01
  tail,
• 10:01
  the
• 10:02
  like,
• 10:02
  suddenly,
• 10:03
  like,
• 10:04
  the
• 10:04
  whole
• 10:04
  pack
• 10:05
  becomes
• 10:05
  usable.
• 10:07
  So,
• 10:08
  like,
• 10:10
  I
• 10:10
  used
• 10:10
  to
• 10:11
  only
• 10:12
  use
• 10:12
  maybe
• 10:12
  15,
• 10:13
  20%
• 10:13
  of
• 10:14
  a
• 10:14
  pack,
• 10:14
  and
• 10:14
  I
• 10:14
  was
• 10:14
  making
• 10:14
  small
• 10:15
  maribou
• 10:15
  tails
• 10:16
  for,
• 10:16
  like,
• 10:16
  changers
• 10:17
  and
• 10:17
  bully
• 10:17
  buggers.
• 10:18
  But
• 10:19
  when
• 10:20
  you're
• 10:20
  using
• 10:20
  2
• 10:20
  inches
• 10:21
  for
• 10:21
  some
• 10:21
  reason,
• 10:21
  like,
• 10:23
  that
• 10:23
  almost
• 10:23
  seems
• 10:24
  like
• 10:24
  the
• 10:24
  feathers
• 10:24
  were
• 10:24
  meant
• 10:25
  to
• 10:25
  be
• 10:25
  used
• 10:27
  at
• 10:28
  that,
• 10:28
  like,
• 10:28
  at
• 10:28
  that
• 10:28
  tie
• 10:29
  end
• 10:29
  point.
• 10:29
  So
• 10:30
  using
• 10:31
  two
• 10:31
  really
• 10:32
  dense
• 10:33
  feathers,
• 10:34
  if
• 10:34
  the
• 10:35
  feathers
• 10:35
  I
• 10:35
  grab
• 10:35
  are
• 10:36
  a
• 10:36
  little
• 10:36
  bit
• 10:36
  more
• 10:36
  sparse,
• 10:37
  then
• 10:37
  I'll
• 10:37
  use
• 10:37
  three
• 10:38
  without
• 10:38
  hesitation.
• 10:40
  And
• 10:40
  that's
• 10:40
  tied
• 10:41
  on.
• 10:42
  I.
• 10:42
  I
• 10:43
  have
• 10:43
  a
• 10:43
  bunch
• 10:43
  of
• 10:43
  the.
• 10:43
  The,
• 10:44
  like,
• 10:44
  original
• 10:45
  Blaine
• 10:45
  shanks.
• 10:46
  So
• 10:46
  I
• 10:47
  cut
• 10:47
  a
• 10:47
  25
• 10:48
  mil
• 10:48
  shank
• 10:48
  basically
• 10:49
  in
• 10:49
  half.
• 10:49
  So
• 10:50
  it's
• 10:50
  Like
• 10:50
  a
• 10:50
  pinpoint.
• 10:51
  And
• 10:52
  then
• 10:52
  I
• 10:52
  put
• 10:52
  that
• 10:52
  in
• 10:52
  the
• 10:53
  vise
• 10:53
  and
• 10:54
  that
• 10:54
  gives
• 10:54
  you
• 10:54
  like
• 10:54
  a
• 10:54
  nice
• 10:57
  clean
• 10:58
  platform
• 10:58
  for
• 10:58
  that
• 10:58
  matter,
• 10:59
  to
• 10:59
  lay
• 10:59
  flat.
• 11:00
  And
• 11:00
  I'm.
• 11:01
  I'm
• 11:01
  sure
• 11:01
  if
• 11:01
  you
• 11:01
  tied
• 11:01
  it
• 11:01
  on
• 11:01
  a
• 11:02
  traditional
• 11:02
  shank
• 11:02
  with
• 11:03
  the
• 11:03
  ramp,
• 11:03
  I'm
• 11:03
  sure
• 11:03
  it'd
• 11:03
  be
• 11:04
  fine.
• 11:04
  You
• 11:04
  just
• 11:04
  don't
• 11:04
  want
• 11:04
  to
• 11:04
  tie
• 11:05
  it
• 11:05
  up
• 11:05
  all
• 11:05
  the
• 11:05
  way
• 11:05
  on
• 11:05
  the
• 11:05
  ramp.
• 11:07
  And
• 11:07
  then
• 11:07
  I'll
• 11:07
  just
• 11:07
  do
• 11:08
  a
• 11:08
  few
• 11:09
  wraps
• 11:09
  of
• 11:09
  finesse
• 11:09
  chenille.
• 11:11
  I.
• 11:11
  I
• 11:11
  was
• 11:12
  putting
• 11:12
  hen
• 11:13
  saddle
• 11:13
  back
• 11:13
  there
• 11:14
  just
• 11:14
  to
• 11:14
  make
• 11:14
  it
• 11:14
  prettier,
• 11:15
  but
• 11:15
  I've
• 11:16
  come
• 11:16
  to
• 11:16
  learn
• 11:16
  that
• 11:17
  that
• 11:17
  doesn't
• 11:17
  change
• 11:17
  anything.
• 11:18
  So
• 11:19
  saving
• 11:19
  a
• 11:19
  couple
• 11:19
  bucks
• 11:20
  per
• 11:20
  fly
• 11:20
  there
• 11:22
  and
• 11:22
  then
• 11:25
  bringing
• 11:25
  what
• 11:25
  I
• 11:25
  learned
• 11:26
  from
• 11:26
  the
• 11:26
  brush
• 11:27
  head
• 11:27
  deceiver
• 11:27
  and
• 11:28
  the
• 11:28
  circus
• 11:28
  peanut
• 11:29
  with
• 11:30
  using
• 11:30
  Maxima
• 11:31
  chameleon
• 11:31
  to
• 11:31
  connect
• 11:31
  the
• 11:31
  flies
• 11:32
  or
• 11:32
  connect
• 11:33
  the
• 11:33
  hooks.
• 11:34
  So
• 11:34
  I'm
• 11:34
  using
• 11:34
  Maxima
• 11:35
  Chameleon
• 11:36
  25
• 11:36
  pound
• 11:36
  to
• 11:37
  connect
• 11:37
  that
• 11:37
  rear
• 11:37
  shank
• 11:38
  to
• 11:38
  the
• 11:39
  hook.
• 11:40
  And
• 11:41
  I've
• 11:41
  never
• 11:41
  had
• 11:42
  a
• 11:42
  failure,
• 11:42
  especially
• 11:42
  back
• 11:43
  there
• 11:43
  because
• 11:43
  there's
• 11:43
  no,
• 11:43
  you
• 11:44
  know,
• 11:44
  nothing's
• 11:44
  pulling
• 11:44
  on
• 11:45
  it.
• 11:45
  But
• 11:46
  from
• 11:46
  there
• 11:50
  I'm
• 11:50
  gonna
• 11:50
  do,
• 11:51
  actually
• 11:52
  there
• 11:52
  are
• 11:52
  two
• 11:53
  rubber
• 11:53
  legs
• 11:54
  or
• 11:54
  sometimes
• 11:54
  up
• 11:55
  to
• 11:55
  four
• 11:55
  rubber
• 11:55
  legs
• 11:55
  on
• 11:56
  that
• 11:56
  tail
• 11:56
  shank.
• 11:56
  And
• 11:56
  I'll
• 11:57
  just
• 11:57
  put
• 11:57
  that
• 11:58
  over
• 11:58
  the
• 11:58
  finesse
• 11:59
  chenille
• 11:59
  so
• 11:59
  it
• 11:59
  kind
• 11:59
  of
• 12:00
  like
• 12:00
  bails
• 12:00
  over
• 12:00
  the
• 12:00
  whole
• 12:01
  tail.
• 12:03
  And
• 12:04
  starting
• 12:05
  on
• 12:05
  that
• 12:05
  rear
• 12:05
  hook,
• 12:07
  gonna
• 12:08
  go
• 12:08
  like
• 12:08
  finesse
• 12:09
  chenille.
• 12:10
  Let's
• 12:11
  say
• 12:11
  halfway,
• 12:13
  three
• 12:13
  legs,
• 12:15
  finish
• 12:15
  the
• 12:15
  other
• 12:16
  third,
• 12:18
  three
• 12:19
  more
• 12:19
  legs,
• 12:19
  or
• 12:20
  you
• 12:20
  do
• 12:20
  four
• 12:20
  legs.
• 12:22
  The
• 12:22
  more
• 12:22
  legs
• 12:22
  you
• 12:23
  add,
• 12:23
  the
• 12:23
  more
• 12:23
  it's
• 12:23
  just
• 12:23
  kind
• 12:24
  of
• 12:24
  gonna
• 12:24
  like
• 12:25
  suspend
• 12:26
  before
• 12:26
  it
• 12:27
  starts
• 12:27
  to
• 12:28
  turn
• 12:28
  with
• 12:28
  the
• 12:28
  current.
• 12:29
  It's
• 12:29
  kind
• 12:29
  of
• 12:29
  like
• 12:30
  just
• 12:30
  more
• 12:30
  drag.
• 12:31
  Acts
• 12:31
  like
• 12:32
  a
• 12:32
  parachute.
• 12:34
  And
• 12:34
  then
• 12:34
  you're
• 12:34
  going
• 12:35
  to
• 12:35
  do
• 12:35
  your
• 12:36
  reverse
• 12:36
  side
• 12:36
  of
• 12:36
  the
• 12:37
  crash
• 12:37
  fur.
• 12:37
  And
• 12:38
  again,
• 12:38
  like
• 12:38
  keeping
• 12:39
  the
• 12:39
  butts
• 12:39
  in,
• 12:39
  just
• 12:40
  like
• 12:40
  the
• 12:40
  bad
• 12:40
  hair
• 12:41
  day.
• 12:42
  Then
• 12:43
  I'm
• 12:43
  going
• 12:44
  to
• 12:44
  use
• 12:45
  Maxima
• 12:45
  chameleon
• 12:46
  again
• 12:46
  to
• 12:46
  connect
• 12:47
  the
• 12:47
  rear
• 12:47
  hook
• 12:47
  to
• 12:48
  the
• 12:48
  front
• 12:48
  hook.
• 12:49
  And
• 12:49
  I
• 12:49
  think
• 12:49
  it's
• 12:50
  pretty
• 12:50
  important
• 12:50
  to.
• 12:53
  I
• 12:53
  use
• 12:53
  like
• 12:53
  a
• 12:53
  couple
• 12:54
  six
• 12:54
  mil
• 12:54
  beads,
• 12:56
  either
• 12:56
  two
• 12:57
  or
• 12:57
  one.
• 12:58
  But
• 12:58
  when
• 12:58
  you're
• 12:59
  securing
• 12:59
  that
• 13:00
  maxima
• 13:00
  to
• 13:00
  the
• 13:00
  front
• 13:01
  hook,
• 13:01
  I
• 13:01
  really
• 13:01
  like
• 13:02
  to
• 13:03
  put
• 13:03
  super
• 13:04
  glue
• 13:05
  right.
• 13:07
  Kind
• 13:07
  of
• 13:07
  like
• 13:07
  where
• 13:07
  that,
• 13:09
  where
• 13:09
  the
• 13:09
  mono
• 13:09
  meets
• 13:10
  the
• 13:10
  shank.
• 13:11
  Because
• 13:11
  I
• 13:11
  have
• 13:11
  had
• 13:11
  that
• 13:12
  not
• 13:12
  pull
• 13:12
  out,
• 13:13
  but
• 13:13
  I've
• 13:13
  had
• 13:13
  that
• 13:13
  like
• 13:14
  kind
• 13:14
  of
• 13:15
  break
• 13:15
  free
• 13:15
  side
• 13:16
  to
• 13:16
  side.
• 13:17
  So
• 13:18
  for
• 13:18
  years
• 13:19
  now,
• 13:19
  I've
• 13:19
  been
• 13:19
  using
• 13:19
  like
• 13:20
  loctite
• 13:20
  blue
• 13:21
  gel
• 13:22
  on
• 13:22
  that.
• 13:22
  And
• 13:23
  then
• 13:23
  I'll
• 13:23
  just
• 13:23
  get
• 13:23
  some
• 13:23
  real
• 13:23
  tight
• 13:24
  wraps.
• 13:24
  And
• 13:24
  I
• 13:24
  haven't
• 13:24
  had
• 13:24
  that
• 13:25
  problem
• 13:25
  since.
• 13:25
  But
• 13:28
  same
• 13:28
  thing
• 13:28
  as
• 13:28
  the
• 13:28
  rear
• 13:29
  hook.
• 13:29
  You're
• 13:29
  just
• 13:29
  going
• 13:29
  to
• 13:29
  add
• 13:30
  two
• 13:30
  tines
• 13:31
  of
• 13:31
  craft
• 13:31
  for
• 13:31
  instead
• 13:32
  of
• 13:32
  one.
• 13:32
  And
• 13:32
  you're
• 13:33
  going
• 13:33
  to
• 13:33
  keep.
• 13:34
  Maybe
• 13:35
  you
• 13:36
  want
• 13:36
  the
• 13:36
  butts
• 13:36
  to
• 13:36
  be
• 13:37
  about
• 13:37
  three
• 13:37
  quarters
• 13:38
  of
• 13:38
  an
• 13:38
  inch
• 13:39
  or
• 13:40
  like
• 13:40
  a
• 13:40
  five
• 13:40
  inch
• 13:40
  fly,
• 13:41
  four
• 13:41
  and
• 13:41
  a
• 13:41
  half
• 13:41
  inch
• 13:41
  fly.
• 13:43
  And
• 13:44
  however
• 13:44
  much
• 13:44
  of
• 13:45
  the
• 13:45
  butts
• 13:45
  you
• 13:45
  keep
• 13:46
  and
• 13:46
  how
• 13:47
  tall
• 13:47
  that
• 13:47
  is,
• 13:48
  that'll
• 13:48
  be
• 13:48
  your
• 13:49
  starting
• 13:49
  profile
• 13:50
  for
• 13:50
  the
• 13:50
  fly.
• 13:51
  And
• 13:51
  typically,
• 13:51
  I'll
• 13:52
  add
• 13:52
  more
• 13:52
  legs
• 13:53
  to
• 13:53
  the.
• 13:53
  The
• 13:54
  two
• 13:54
  tie
• 13:54
  ins
• 13:54
  of
• 13:54
  legs
• 13:55
  in
• 13:55
  the
• 13:55
  front.
• 13:57
  Got
• 13:57
  it.
• 13:57
  And
• 13:57
  I
• 13:57
  know
• 13:57
  you're
• 13:58
  really
• 13:58
  particular
• 13:58
  too,
• 13:59
  about
• 13:59
  the
• 13:59
  positioning
• 14:00
  of
• 14:00
  the
• 14:00
  legs
• 14:00
  on
• 14:00
  the
• 14:00
  fly.
• 14:02
  Yeah,
• 14:02
  I
• 14:02
  like
• 14:02
  to
• 14:03
  position
• 14:03
  them
• 14:03
  on
• 14:04
  like,
• 14:05
  like
• 14:06
  airing
• 14:06
  on
• 14:06
  the
• 14:07
  top
• 14:07
  of
• 14:07
  the
• 14:07
  shank
• 14:07
  rather
• 14:08
  than
• 14:08
  just
• 14:08
  on
• 14:08
  the
• 14:08
  sides.
• 14:09
  I
• 14:09
  think
• 14:09
  it,
• 14:09
  it
• 14:09
  adds
• 14:10
  to
• 14:10
  that
• 14:10
  kind
• 14:10
  of
• 14:10
  like
• 14:11
  parachute
• 14:13
  suspending
• 14:13
  action.
• 14:15
  Yeah.
• 14:15
  And
• 14:16
  I
• 14:16
  also
• 14:16
  know
• 14:16
  too
• 14:17
  that
• 14:17
  you're
• 14:17
  like,
• 14:17
  it's
• 14:18
  kind
• 14:18
  of
• 14:18
  funny.
• 14:18
  I
• 14:18
  watched
• 14:19
  the
• 14:19
  video
• 14:19
  you
• 14:19
  did
• 14:20
  with
• 14:20
  Schultze
• 14:21
  preparing
• 14:21
  for
• 14:21
  the
• 14:21
  interview.
• 14:22
  You're
• 14:23
  super
• 14:23
  fastidious.
• 14:24
  Right.
• 14:24
  And
• 14:25
  so
• 14:25
  you
• 14:25
  also.
• 14:26
  Don't
• 14:26
  you
• 14:27
  have
• 14:27
  a
• 14:27
  trick
• 14:27
  with
• 14:27
  the
• 14:27
  shank
• 14:28
  positioning
• 14:29
  to
• 14:29
  help
• 14:29
  you
• 14:30
  get
• 14:30
  a
• 14:30
  better
• 14:30
  taper
• 14:30
  in
• 14:31
  the
• 14:31
  fly
• 14:31
  as
• 14:31
  well?
• 14:33
  Yeah.
• 14:34
  So
• 14:35
  actually,
• 14:36
  yeah,
• 14:36
  I
• 14:36
  forgot
• 14:36
  something
• 14:37
  very
• 14:37
  crucial
• 14:40
  in
• 14:40
  that
• 14:40
  connection
• 14:41
  to
• 14:41
  the
• 14:41
  rear
• 14:41
  hook.
• 14:42
  So
• 14:42
  I
• 14:43
  started
• 14:43
  tying
• 14:44
  this
• 14:44
  fly
• 14:45
  by
• 14:46
  using
• 14:46
  like
• 14:46
  a
• 14:46
  20
• 14:46
  mil
• 14:47
  shank
• 14:48
  to
• 14:48
  connect
• 14:48
  the
• 14:49
  tail
• 14:49
  shank
• 14:49
  to
• 14:49
  the
• 14:49
  rear
• 14:50
  hook.
• 14:50
  And
• 14:51
  I
• 14:51
  would
• 14:51
  leave,
• 14:54
  I
• 14:54
  don't
• 14:55
  know,
• 14:55
  maybe
• 14:56
  an
• 14:57
  eighth
• 14:57
  of
• 14:57
  an
• 14:57
  inch
• 15:00
  kind
• 15:00
  of
• 15:00
  like
• 15:00
  hanging
• 15:01
  out
• 15:01
  the
• 15:01
  back
• 15:01
  of
• 15:02
  the
• 15:02
  rear
• 15:02
  hook.
• 15:04
  So
• 15:05
  I
• 15:06
  would
• 15:06
  connect
• 15:06
  that
• 15:07
  like
• 15:07
  how
• 15:07
  I
• 15:07
  learned
• 15:07
  from
• 15:08
  James
• 15:08
  Hughes.
• 15:08
  But
• 15:08
  like
• 15:09
  you,
• 15:09
  you
• 15:09
  put
• 15:10
  the
• 15:10
  shank
• 15:11
  in
• 15:11
  the
• 15:11
  vise
• 15:12
  wrap
• 15:12
  thread
• 15:12
  on
• 15:12
  it.
• 15:13
  So
• 15:13
  that
• 15:13
  gives
• 15:13
  you
• 15:13
  like
• 15:13
  a
• 15:13
  better
• 15:14
  base
• 15:14
  to
• 15:15
  like,
• 15:16
  kind
• 15:16
  of
• 15:16
  cinch
• 15:16
  it
• 15:16
  down
• 15:16
  into
• 15:17
  the
• 15:17
  thread
• 15:17
  that's
• 15:17
  gonna
• 15:17
  be
• 15:17
  on
• 15:18
  the
• 15:18
  hook.
• 15:18
  Um,
• 15:19
  but
• 15:19
  that's
• 15:19
  how
• 15:20
  that
• 15:20
  was
• 15:20
  just
• 15:20
  me
• 15:20
  getting
• 15:20
  the
• 15:21
  tail
• 15:21
  further
• 15:21
  from
• 15:22
  the.
• 15:22
  The
• 15:22
  tie
• 15:22
  in
• 15:23
  of
• 15:23
  craft
• 15:23
  fur
• 15:23
  on
• 15:24
  the
• 15:24
  rear
• 15:24
  hook.
• 15:25
  Now
• 15:26
  I
• 15:26
  will
• 15:26
  use
• 15:27
  a,
• 15:27
  like
• 15:27
  a
• 15:28
  4
• 15:28
  millimeter
• 15:28
  bead.
• 15:30
  And
• 15:30
  that
• 15:30
  saves
• 15:30
  a
• 15:31
  lot
• 15:31
  of
• 15:31
  headache.
• 15:31
  And
• 15:31
  I
• 15:31
  haven't
• 15:32
  noticed
• 15:32
  any
• 15:32
  difference
• 15:34
  in
• 15:34
  fishability,
• 15:35
  but
• 15:36
  kind
• 15:36
  of
• 15:36
  saves
• 15:36
  you
• 15:37
  some
• 15:37
  time
• 15:37
  there.
• 15:37
  But
• 15:37
  if
• 15:38
  you,
• 15:38
  if
• 15:38
  you
• 15:38
  buy
• 15:38
  4
• 15:39
  mil
• 15:39
  beads
• 15:39
  from
• 15:39
  like
• 15:39
  Jansen,
• 15:40
  that
• 15:40
  craft
• 15:40
  or
• 15:40
  whatever,
• 15:42
  you
• 15:42
  just
• 15:43
  thread
• 15:44
  that
• 15:44
  through
• 15:44
  the
• 15:44
  maxima
• 15:45
  and
• 15:46
  basically
• 15:46
  you're
• 15:47
  just
• 15:47
  spacing
• 15:47
  that
• 15:48
  tail
• 15:48
  away
• 15:48
  from
• 15:49
  the.
• 15:50
  The
• 15:50
  craft
• 15:51
  fur.
• 15:52
  Got
• 15:53
  it.
• 15:53
  Yeah.
• 15:53
  So
• 15:53
  you're
• 15:53
  basically
• 15:54
  using
• 15:54
  the
• 15:54
  same
• 15:54
  technique
• 15:55
  that
• 15:55
  you're
• 15:55
  using
• 15:55
  to
• 15:55
  attach
• 15:56
  the
• 15:56
  hooks.
• 15:57
  Exactly.
• 15:58
  Yep,
• 15:58
  yep.
• 15:59
  Yeah,
• 16:00
  got
• 16:00
  it.
• 16:00
  And
• 16:01
  so,
• 16:01
  you
• 16:01
  know,
• 16:01
  as
• 16:02
  you
• 16:02
  were
• 16:02
  kind
• 16:02
  of
• 16:02
  experimenting
• 16:04
  with
• 16:04
  the
• 16:04
  pattern,
• 16:04
  are
• 16:05
  there
• 16:05
  any
• 16:05
  materials
• 16:05
  that
• 16:06
  just
• 16:06
  didn't
• 16:06
  make
• 16:06
  the
• 16:06
  final
• 16:07
  cut?
• 16:11
  Yeah,
• 16:11
  I,
• 16:12
  I
• 16:12
  had
• 16:12
  tried
• 16:14
  putting
• 16:14
  a
• 16:14
  little
• 16:14
  bit
• 16:15
  of
• 16:15
  a
• 16:15
  brush
• 16:15
  head
• 16:15
  on
• 16:15
  the
• 16:16
  front,
• 16:16
  and
• 16:18
  there
• 16:18
  just
• 16:18
  doesn't
• 16:18
  need
• 16:19
  to
• 16:19
  be
• 16:19
  any
• 16:19
  more
• 16:19
  density
• 16:20
  added.
• 16:24
  I
• 16:25
  feel
• 16:25
  like
• 16:27
  I
• 16:27
  did
• 16:27
  some
• 16:27
  smaller
• 16:27
  ones
• 16:28
  with
• 16:28
  translucent
• 16:29
  brush
• 16:29
  just
• 16:29
  because
• 16:29
  I
• 16:29
  wanted
• 16:29
  to
• 16:30
  burn
• 16:30
  some
• 16:30
  money,
• 16:30
  I
• 16:30
  guess.
• 16:31
  But
• 16:32
  I,
• 16:32
  I
• 16:33
  found,
• 16:33
  like,
• 16:33
  finesse.
• 16:34
  Chenille
• 16:34
  from
• 16:34
  hairline
• 16:35
  seems
• 16:35
  to
• 16:35
  be
• 16:37
  by
• 16:38
  far,
• 16:38
  like,
• 16:38
  the
• 16:38
  slipperiest
• 16:39
  material
• 16:40
  for
• 16:40
  the,
• 16:40
  the
• 16:40
  core
• 16:41
  of
• 16:41
  that
• 16:41
  fly.
• 16:42
  And
• 16:42
  by
• 16:42
  that,
• 16:42
  I
• 16:42
  mean
• 16:43
  the
• 16:43
  fly
• 16:43
  is
• 16:43
  just
• 16:44
  gonna
• 16:44
  kick
• 16:44
  and
• 16:45
  travel
• 16:47
  a
• 16:47
  bit
• 16:47
  better.
• 16:47
  It's,
• 16:48
  it's
• 16:48
  doesn't
• 16:48
  have
• 16:49
  as
• 16:49
  much
• 16:49
  drag
• 16:49
  as
• 16:49
  some
• 16:50
  of
• 16:50
  the
• 16:50
  other,
• 16:50
  like,
• 16:50
  stiffer
• 16:51
  materials.
• 16:53
  And
• 16:53
  if
• 16:53
  you
• 16:53
  want
• 16:53
  to
• 16:54
  kind
• 16:54
  of
• 16:54
  like,
• 16:54
  beef
• 16:55
  up
• 16:55
  your
• 16:55
  profile
• 16:56
  a
• 16:56
  little
• 16:56
  bit,
• 16:59
  Senio
• 17:00
  satin
• 17:00
  chenille
• 17:00
  works
• 17:01
  really
• 17:01
  well
• 17:01
  too.
• 17:01
  So
• 17:01
  if
• 17:02
  you
• 17:02
  wanted
• 17:02
  to,
• 17:02
  let's
• 17:03
  say
• 17:03
  my.
• 17:03
  My
• 17:03
  average
• 17:03
  nut
• 17:04
  job
• 17:04
  is
• 17:04
  like
• 17:04
  4
• 17:05
  1/2
• 17:05
  to
• 17:05
  5
• 17:05
  inches.
• 17:06
  If
• 17:07
  I
• 17:07
  wanted
• 17:07
  to
• 17:07
  tie
• 17:08
  a
• 17:08
  6
• 17:08
  inch
• 17:08
  fly,
• 17:08
  I
• 17:09
  would
• 17:09
  use
• 17:09
  satin
• 17:09
  chenille.
• 17:11
  And
• 17:12
  because
• 17:13
  of
• 17:14
  the
• 17:15
  taper
• 17:15
  that
• 17:15
  you're
• 17:15
  creating,
• 17:16
  you
• 17:16
  have
• 17:16
  to
• 17:16
  use
• 17:17
  more
• 17:17
  craft
• 17:17
  fur
• 17:17
  butts.
• 17:18
  So
• 17:19
  naturally
• 17:19
  you
• 17:19
  have
• 17:19
  to
• 17:19
  add
• 17:19
  more
• 17:20
  weight
• 17:20
  to
• 17:20
  fishing
• 17:21
  in
• 17:21
  a
• 17:21
  zone
• 17:21
  that
• 17:22
  you
• 17:22
  want
• 17:22
  to
• 17:22
  fish.
• 17:22
  And
• 17:23
  the
• 17:23
  weight
• 17:24
  kind
• 17:24
  of
• 17:24
  helps
• 17:25
  propel
• 17:25
  that
• 17:25
  fly,
• 17:26
  so
• 17:27
  the
• 17:27
  satin
• 17:27
  chenille
• 17:27
  isn't
• 17:28
  inhibiting
• 17:28
  the
• 17:29
  action.
• 17:30
  Um,
• 17:30
  so
• 17:30
  I,
• 17:30
  I
• 17:31
  wouldn't
• 17:31
  use
• 17:31
  satin
• 17:31
  chenille
• 17:32
  necessarily
• 17:32
  for
• 17:33
  the
• 17:33
  single
• 17:33
  or
• 17:34
  the
• 17:34
  standard,
• 17:35
  but
• 17:35
  I
• 17:35
  do
• 17:36
  like
• 17:36
  it
• 17:36
  for
• 17:37
  creating
• 17:37
  a
• 17:37
  little
• 17:37
  bit
• 17:38
  bigger
• 17:38
  profile
• 17:39
  on
• 17:39
  like
• 17:39
  a
• 17:39
  6,
• 17:40
  7
• 17:40
  incher.
• 17:41
  Uh,
• 17:41
  got
• 17:41
  it.
• 17:42
  It's
• 17:42
  a
• 17:42
  great
• 17:42
  segue
• 17:43
  into
• 17:43
  my
• 17:43
  next
• 17:43
  question,
• 17:43
  which
• 17:44
  is,
• 17:44
  you
• 17:44
  know,
• 17:44
  obviously,
• 17:45
  you
• 17:45
  know,
• 17:46
  you
• 17:46
  have
• 17:46
  a
• 17:46
  synthetic
• 17:47
  focus
• 17:47
  versus
• 17:48
  natural
• 17:48
  materials
• 17:49
  and
• 17:49
  the
• 17:49
  nut
• 17:49
  job.
• 17:49
  And,
• 17:50
  you
• 17:50
  know,
• 17:51
  you
• 17:51
  know,
• 17:51
  because
• 17:51
  you
• 17:52
  could
• 17:52
  have
• 17:52
  done
• 17:52
  buck
• 17:52
  bucktail
• 17:53
  or
• 17:53
  something
• 17:53
  else,
• 17:53
  but,
• 17:54
  you
• 17:54
  know,
• 17:54
  obviously
• 17:56
  selecting
• 17:57
  synthetics
• 17:57
  over
• 17:58
  naturals
• 17:58
  affects
• 17:59
  kind
• 17:59
  of
• 17:59
  flow
• 18:00
  and,
• 18:00
  you
• 18:01
  know,
• 18:01
  all,
• 18:01
  you
• 18:01
  know,
• 18:02
  how
• 18:02
  much
• 18:02
  water
• 18:02
  passes
• 18:03
  through
• 18:03
  and
• 18:03
  around
• 18:04
  the
• 18:04
  fly.
• 18:04
  You
• 18:05
  know,
• 18:05
  how
• 18:05
  did
• 18:05
  making
• 18:06
  that
• 18:06
  synthetic
• 18:07
  over
• 18:07
  natural
• 18:08
  decision
• 18:09
  affect
• 18:09
  the
• 18:09
  fly's
• 18:10
  design?
• 18:14
  So
• 18:14
  the
• 18:15
  decision
• 18:16
  to
• 18:17
  keep
• 18:17
  rolling
• 18:17
  with
• 18:18
  that
• 18:18
  platform.
• 18:20
  And
• 18:22
  let's
• 18:22
  start
• 18:22
  at,
• 18:22
  like,
• 18:22
  my
• 18:23
  faith
• 18:23
  in
• 18:23
  craft
• 18:23
  fur.
• 18:24
  So
• 18:25
  that
• 18:25
  came
• 18:25
  from
• 18:26
  the
• 18:26
  craft
• 18:27
  fur
• 18:27
  changers
• 18:27
  and
• 18:28
  then
• 18:28
  the
• 18:28
  brush
• 18:28
  head
• 18:29
  deceiver.
• 18:30
  And
• 18:30
  I
• 18:30
  was
• 18:30
  messing
• 18:31
  with,
• 18:31
  like,
• 18:32
  after,
• 18:32
  you
• 18:32
  know,
• 18:33
  spending
• 18:33
  years
• 18:34
  tying
• 18:35
  crafty
• 18:35
  changers,
• 18:36
  whether
• 18:36
  they
• 18:36
  were
• 18:36
  too
• 18:36
  sparse
• 18:37
  or
• 18:37
  too
• 18:37
  full,
• 18:38
  like,
• 18:38
  kind
• 18:38
  of
• 18:39
  got
• 18:39
  that
• 18:39
  figured
• 18:39
  out
• 18:39
  a
• 18:39
  little
• 18:40
  bit.
• 18:41
  And
• 18:41
  then
• 18:42
  I
• 18:42
  was
• 18:42
  messing
• 18:42
  with
• 18:42
  densities
• 18:43
  on
• 18:43
  the
• 18:43
  brush
• 18:43
  head
• 18:43
  deceivers,
• 18:45
  and
• 18:45
  I
• 18:45
  noticed
• 18:45
  that
• 18:47
  you
• 18:47
  could
• 18:48
  really
• 18:48
  get
• 18:48
  some
• 18:49
  more
• 18:50
  profile
• 18:50
  and
• 18:51
  a
• 18:51
  little
• 18:51
  bit
• 18:51
  different
• 18:51
  kick.
• 18:52
  Like
• 18:52
  maybe
• 18:53
  like
• 18:53
  more
• 18:53
  extreme
• 18:53
  kick
• 18:54
  if
• 18:54
  you,
• 18:54
  like,
• 18:54
  kind
• 18:54
  of
• 18:54
  beefed
• 18:55
  up
• 18:55
  the
• 18:55
  crafter.
• 18:56
  And
• 18:56
  I,
• 18:56
  I
• 18:56
  wasn't
• 18:57
  using
• 18:57
  butts.
• 18:58
  That's
• 18:58
  just
• 18:58
  kind
• 18:58
  of
• 18:58
  like
• 18:58
  tying
• 18:59
  it
• 18:59
  in,
• 18:59
  not
• 18:59
  even
• 18:59
  reverse.
• 19:00
  You're
• 19:00
  just
• 19:00
  tying
• 19:01
  it
• 19:01
  in
• 19:01
  on,
• 19:01
  like
• 19:01
  a
• 19:01
  little
• 19:02
  bucktail
• 19:02
  prop
• 19:03
  on
• 19:03
  the
• 19:03
  brush
• 19:03
  head.
• 19:04
  And
• 19:06
  I
• 19:06
  just,
• 19:06
  I
• 19:06
  started
• 19:07
  to
• 19:07
  develop
• 19:08
  a
• 19:08
  lot
• 19:08
  of
• 19:08
  Confidence
• 19:09
  in
• 19:09
  the.
• 19:10
  The
• 19:10
  fish
• 19:11
  ability
• 19:11
  of
• 19:11
  it.
• 19:11
  And
• 19:13
  even
• 19:14
  when
• 19:14
  it's
• 19:14
  tied
• 19:15
  densely,
• 19:16
  like,
• 19:16
  as
• 19:16
  long
• 19:16
  as
• 19:17
  you're
• 19:17
  not
• 19:17
  using
• 19:17
  too
• 19:17
  much
• 19:17
  too
• 19:18
  many,
• 19:18
  like,
• 19:19
  butts.
• 19:20
  Like,
• 19:20
  craft
• 19:20
  fur
• 19:21
  acts
• 19:21
  a
• 19:21
  lot
• 19:21
  like.
• 19:24
  Like
• 19:25
  it
• 19:25
  just
• 19:26
  like
• 19:26
  a
• 19:26
  hen
• 19:26
  saddle
• 19:27
  or
• 19:27
  like,
• 19:27
  schlopping.
• 19:28
  Like,
• 19:28
  there's
• 19:28
  something
• 19:28
  about
• 19:29
  it
• 19:29
  where,
• 19:29
  like,
• 19:30
  the
• 19:30
  water's
• 19:31
  flowing
• 19:31
  through
• 19:31
  it,
• 19:32
  but
• 19:32
  that
• 19:32
  doesn't
• 19:33
  mean
• 19:33
  that
• 19:33
  it's
• 19:33
  not
• 19:34
  gonna,
• 19:34
  like,
• 19:34
  deflect
• 19:35
  water.
• 19:35
  It's
• 19:36
  a
• 19:36
  very
• 19:36
  interesting
• 19:37
  material.
• 19:38
  And
• 19:38
  like,
• 19:38
  fishing,
• 19:39
  fishing
• 19:39
  this
• 19:40
  fly.
• 19:42
  I
• 19:42
  don't
• 19:42
  know,
• 19:42
  it's.
• 19:42
  It's
• 19:43
  really
• 19:43
  fun.
• 19:43
  And
• 19:43
  it
• 19:43
  was
• 19:44
  like,
• 19:45
  it's
• 19:45
  kind
• 19:45
  of
• 19:45
  unpredictable,
• 19:46
  like,
• 19:46
  after
• 19:47
  the
• 19:47
  pause.
• 19:47
  So
• 19:48
  that's
• 19:49
  kind
• 19:49
  of
• 19:49
  what
• 19:49
  kept
• 19:49
  me
• 19:49
  going
• 19:50
  with,
• 19:51
  like,
• 19:51
  even
• 19:52
  just
• 19:52
  like,
• 19:52
  I.
• 19:53
  I
• 19:53
  never
• 19:53
  thought
• 19:53
  I
• 19:53
  would
• 19:53
  have
• 19:53
  a
• 19:54
  pattern.
• 19:54
  I
• 19:54
  was
• 19:54
  very
• 19:54
  content
• 19:55
  with,
• 19:55
  you
• 19:56
  know,
• 19:56
  fishing
• 19:56
  peanuts,
• 19:56
  changers,
• 19:57
  swinging
• 19:57
  Ds,
• 19:57
  whatever.
• 19:58
  But
• 19:59
  I
• 19:59
  was.
• 19:59
  It
• 19:59
  was
• 20:00
  kind
• 20:00
  of
• 20:00
  just,
• 20:00
  like,
• 20:02
  curious
• 20:02
  to
• 20:03
  explore
• 20:04
  where
• 20:04
  this
• 20:04
  fly
• 20:05
  could
• 20:05
  go.
• 20:05
  And
• 20:07
  there's
• 20:07
  probably
• 20:08
  more,
• 20:09
  like,
• 20:10
  development
• 20:10
  that
• 20:10
  could
• 20:11
  happen
• 20:11
  with
• 20:11
  resins.
• 20:12
  I
• 20:12
  just.
• 20:12
  I'm
• 20:12
  not
• 20:12
  a
• 20:13
  huge
• 20:13
  fan
• 20:13
  of,
• 20:14
  you
• 20:14
  know,
• 20:15
  tasting
• 20:16
  resin
• 20:16
  on
• 20:16
  my
• 20:16
  fingers.
• 20:16
  Four,
• 20:17
  four
• 20:17
  hours
• 20:17
  after
• 20:18
  using.
• 20:20
  Does
• 20:21
  get
• 20:21
  everywhere
• 20:21
  too,
• 20:22
  dude.
• 20:22
  I
• 20:22
  mean,
• 20:22
  it's.
• 20:22
  I
• 20:22
  don't
• 20:23
  know
• 20:23
  what
• 20:23
  it.
• 20:23
  I
• 20:23
  don't
• 20:24
  know
• 20:24
  what
• 20:24
  the
• 20:24
  deal
• 20:24
  is,
• 20:24
  but,
• 20:25
  like,
• 20:25
  it
• 20:26
  gets
• 20:26
  everywhere.
• 20:26
  But,
• 20:27
  you
• 20:27
  know,
• 20:27
  any
• 20:27
  kind
• 20:28
  of
• 20:28
  tips
• 20:28
  or
• 20:28
  tricks
• 20:29
  kind
• 20:29
  of
• 20:29
  related
• 20:30
  to
• 20:30
  proportions
• 20:31
  or
• 20:31
  weighting
• 20:32
  you
• 20:32
  can
• 20:32
  share
• 20:32
  with
• 20:32
  folks.
• 20:32
  I'm,
• 20:33
  you
• 20:33
  know,
• 20:33
  in
• 20:34
  terms
• 20:34
  of,
• 20:34
  like,
• 20:35
  you
• 20:35
  know,
• 20:36
  you
• 20:37
  know
• 20:37
  how
• 20:37
  to
• 20:37
  kind
• 20:38
  of
• 20:38
  pick
• 20:38
  the
• 20:39
  bundles
• 20:39
  of
• 20:39
  craft
• 20:40
  fur
• 20:40
  to,
• 20:41
  like,
• 20:41
  I
• 20:41
  know
• 20:41
  you
• 20:42
  like
• 20:42
  to
• 20:42
  kind
• 20:42
  of
• 20:42
  place
• 20:43
  beads
• 20:43
  about,
• 20:44
  I
• 20:44
  don't
• 20:44
  know,
• 20:44
  a
• 20:44
  third
• 20:44
  to
• 20:45
  a
• 20:45
  halfway
• 20:45
  back
• 20:45
  sometimes,
• 20:46
  you
• 20:46
  know,
• 20:47
  on
• 20:47
  the
• 20:47
  front
• 20:47
  hook,
• 20:47
  like,
• 20:48
  combinations
• 20:49
  or
• 20:49
  tricks
• 20:49
  to
• 20:49
  kind
• 20:49
  of
• 20:50
  get
• 20:50
  your
• 20:50
  flies
• 20:50
  tuned
• 20:50
  the
• 20:50
  right
• 20:50
  way.
• 20:51
  You
• 20:51
  want
• 20:51
  to
• 20:51
  share
• 20:51
  with
• 20:51
  folks.
• 20:53
  Yeah,
• 20:53
  I
• 20:54
  think
• 20:54
  getting
• 20:54
  a
• 20:54
  clean
• 20:55
  cut
• 20:55
  from
• 20:56
  the
• 20:56
  sheet
• 20:56
  of
• 20:56
  craft
• 20:57
  fur
• 20:57
  is,
• 20:57
  like,
• 20:58
  the
• 20:58
  most
• 20:58
  important
• 20:58
  thing.
• 20:59
  Like,
• 20:59
  before
• 20:59
  you
• 20:59
  even,
• 21:00
  like,
• 21:00
  start
• 21:00
  tying
• 21:01
  with
• 21:01
  craft
• 21:01
  fur,
• 21:01
  you
• 21:02
  need
• 21:02
  to
• 21:02
  be
• 21:02
  good
• 21:02
  at
• 21:02
  cutting
• 21:03
  craft
• 21:03
  fur,
• 21:04
  and
• 21:05
  then
• 21:05
  you
• 21:06
  need
• 21:06
  to
• 21:06
  be
• 21:06
  good
• 21:06
  at
• 21:07
  transitioning
• 21:08
  it
• 21:08
  from
• 21:09
  your
• 21:09
  left.
• 21:09
  Your
• 21:09
  right
• 21:10
  hand
• 21:10
  to
• 21:10
  your
• 21:10
  left
• 21:10
  hand
• 21:10
  or
• 21:10
  vice
• 21:11
  versa
• 21:11
  and
• 21:12
  flipping
• 21:12
  it
• 21:12
  because
• 21:12
  you're
• 21:12
  going
• 21:12
  to
• 21:13
  be
• 21:13
  reverse
• 21:13
  tying
• 21:13
  it.
• 21:15
  Like,
• 21:15
  it's.
• 21:15
  It's
• 21:15
  not
• 21:15
  the
• 21:16
  easiest
• 21:16
  material
• 21:16
  to
• 21:16
  work
• 21:17
  with,
• 21:17
  and
• 21:18
  it
• 21:18
  really
• 21:18
  helps
• 21:19
  to
• 21:20
  be
• 21:20
  like
• 21:21
  kind
• 21:21
  of
• 21:22
  a
• 21:22
  slow,
• 21:22
  methodical
• 21:23
  craft
• 21:24
  fur
• 21:24
  cutter.
• 21:24
  Like,
• 21:25
  it.
• 21:25
  It
• 21:25
  pays.
• 21:26
  It
• 21:26
  doesn't
• 21:27
  pay
• 21:27
  to
• 21:27
  rush
• 21:27
  it
• 21:27
  because
• 21:28
  then
• 21:28
  you
• 21:28
  just
• 21:28
  end
• 21:28
  up
• 21:28
  with
• 21:28
  like
• 21:29
  a.
• 21:29
  A
• 21:29
  loose
• 21:29
  clump
• 21:30
  of
• 21:30
  craft
• 21:30
  fur.
• 21:30
  You
• 21:31
  can't
• 21:31
  throw
• 21:31
  it
• 21:31
  in
• 21:31
  a
• 21:31
  hair
• 21:31
  stacker,
• 21:32
  you
• 21:32
  know,
• 21:32
  So
• 21:34
  I
• 21:34
  think
• 21:36
  making
• 21:36
  sure
• 21:36
  that
• 21:37
  you're
• 21:37
  cutting,
• 21:37
  like,
• 21:38
  as
• 21:38
  close
• 21:38
  to
• 21:39
  that
• 21:39
  backing
• 21:40
  material
• 21:40
  as
• 21:40
  you
• 21:41
  can
• 21:41
  and
• 21:41
  then
• 21:42
  being
• 21:42
  very
• 21:42
  careful
• 21:43
  when
• 21:43
  transferring
• 21:44
  it,
• 21:45
  you
• 21:45
  want
• 21:45
  to
• 21:45
  be
• 21:45
  like
• 21:48
  handling
• 21:49
  the
• 21:49
  craft
• 21:49
  for
• 21:49
  very
• 21:49
  close
• 21:50
  to
• 21:50
  where
• 21:50
  you
• 21:50
  cut
• 21:51
  it.
• 21:51
  So
• 21:51
  then
• 21:51
  you're
• 21:51
  not
• 21:52
  losing
• 21:53
  any
• 21:53
  of
• 21:53
  that
• 21:54
  bulk
• 21:54
  that
• 21:54
  you're
• 21:54
  trying
• 21:54
  to
• 21:54
  keep
• 21:55
  for
• 21:55
  the,
• 21:55
  the
• 21:55
  head,
• 21:57
  the
• 21:57
  bulk,
• 21:57
  or
• 21:58
  the
• 21:58
  butts.
• 22:01
  But
• 22:01
  yeah.
• 22:02
  So
• 22:03
  as
• 22:03
  far
• 22:03
  as
• 22:03
  waiting
• 22:04
  goes,
• 22:04
  I
• 22:05
  will
• 22:05
  switch
• 22:06
  between
• 22:06
  keeling
• 22:08
  three
• 22:08
  sixteen
• 22:09
  tungsten
• 22:09
  beads
• 22:10
  and
• 22:11
  seven
• 22:11
  thirty
• 22:11
  seconds.
• 22:11
  Tungsten
• 22:12
  beads
• 22:13
  and
• 22:13
  the,
• 22:13
  the
• 22:13
  seven
• 22:14
  thirty
• 22:14
  seconds
• 22:14
  are
• 22:14
  kind
• 22:14
  of
• 22:15
  reserved
• 22:15
  for
• 22:15
  that,
• 22:16
  like,
• 22:17
  really
• 22:17
  big
• 22:18
  profile,
• 22:20
  like
• 22:20
  five
• 22:21
  and
• 22:21
  a
• 22:21
  half
• 22:21
  to
• 22:21
  six
• 22:21
  inch
• 22:22
  fly
• 22:23
  and
• 22:25
  like
• 22:25
  high
• 22:26
  flows.
• 22:26
  Like,
• 22:27
  I,
• 22:27
  I,
• 22:27
  I
• 22:27
  was
• 22:28
  catching
• 22:28
  a
• 22:29
  lot
• 22:29
  of
• 22:29
  big
• 22:29
  fish
• 22:30
  early,
• 22:30
  like
• 22:31
  in
• 22:31
  really
• 22:31
  early
• 22:32
  spring
• 22:32
  Last
• 22:32
  year
• 22:33
  on
• 22:34
  7/32
• 22:35
  nut
• 22:35
  jobs
• 22:36
  and
• 22:38
  they're,
• 22:38
  they're
• 22:38
  necessary,
• 22:39
  but
• 22:39
  as
• 22:40
  soon
• 22:40
  as
• 22:40
  that
• 22:41
  current
• 22:41
  speed
• 22:42
  starts
• 22:42
  to
• 22:42
  drop
• 22:43
  and
• 22:43
  it's
• 22:43
  like
• 22:44
  almost
• 22:44
  average
• 22:45
  flows
• 22:45
  in
• 22:45
  the
• 22:45
  river
• 22:46
  that
• 22:46
  I
• 22:46
  fish,
• 22:46
  like,
• 22:46
  it's
• 22:47
  just
• 22:47
  too
• 22:47
  heavy.
• 22:47
  You
• 22:48
  can't
• 22:48
  really
• 22:48
  stall
• 22:48
  it.
• 22:49
  So
• 22:50
  that's
• 22:50
  where
• 22:50
  the,
• 22:50
  the
• 22:50
  3:30
• 22:51
  seconds
• 22:51
  or
• 22:52
  just
• 22:52
  keeling
• 22:52
  it
• 22:52
  on
• 22:52
  the
• 22:52
  boat
• 22:53
  comes
• 22:54
  into
• 22:54
  Play.
• 22:54
  I
• 22:54
  think
• 22:55
  3:30
• 22:55
  seconds
• 22:55
  is
• 22:56
  like,
• 22:57
  it's,
• 22:57
  it's
• 22:57
  definitely
• 22:58
  going
• 22:58
  to
• 22:58
  sink
• 22:58
  more
• 22:59
  than
• 22:59
  be
• 22:59
  like
• 22:59
  neutrally
• 23:00
  buoyant,
• 23:00
  but
• 23:00
  it
• 23:01
  keeps
• 23:01
  you
• 23:01
  in
• 23:01
  the
• 23:02
  game
• 23:02
  longer
• 23:03
  and
• 23:03
  faster
• 23:04
  current
• 23:04
  speeds
• 23:05
  than
• 23:05
  just
• 23:06
  keeling
• 23:06
  it
• 23:06
  would.
• 23:08
  Got
• 23:08
  it.
• 23:08
  And
• 23:08
  I,
• 23:09
  and
• 23:09
  I
• 23:09
  guess
• 23:09
  you
• 23:09
  like
• 23:09
  to,
• 23:10
  you
• 23:10
  know,
• 23:10
  obviously
• 23:10
  you're
• 23:11
  cutting
• 23:11
  clo
• 23:11
  the
• 23:12
  craft
• 23:13
  fur
• 23:13
  close
• 23:13
  to
• 23:13
  the
• 23:13
  backing,
• 23:14
  but,
• 23:14
  you
• 23:15
  know,
• 23:15
  I
• 23:15
  suspect
• 23:16
  you
• 23:16
  probably
• 23:16
  pull
• 23:16
  the
• 23:17
  tips
• 23:17
  when
• 23:17
  you're
• 23:17
  trying
• 23:17
  to
• 23:17
  size
• 23:18
  the
• 23:18
  clumps
• 23:18
  to
• 23:18
  tie
• 23:18
  in
• 23:19
  as
• 23:19
  opposed
• 23:19
  to
• 23:19
  cutting
• 23:19
  them,
• 23:20
  right?
• 23:21
  Oh,
• 23:21
  yeah,
• 23:21
  that's
• 23:21
  a
• 23:21
  great
• 23:22
  question.
• 23:22
  So
• 23:24
  I
• 23:24
  learned
• 23:24
  from
• 23:24
  Mike
• 23:25
  Schultz
• 23:25
  to
• 23:26
  rip
• 23:26
  the
• 23:26
  tips
• 23:27
  at
• 23:27
  some
• 23:28
  point.
• 23:28
  It
• 23:28
  must
• 23:28
  have
• 23:28
  been
• 23:29
  like
• 23:29
  during
• 23:29
  COVID
• 23:31
  he
• 23:31
  was
• 23:31
  doing
• 23:31
  like,
• 23:33
  classes
• 23:34
  maybe,
• 23:34
  or
• 23:35
  it
• 23:35
  was
• 23:35
  like
• 23:35
  on
• 23:35
  the
• 23:35
  craft
• 23:36
  Fur
• 23:36
  Changer
• 23:37
  YouTube
• 23:37
  video.
• 23:37
  But
• 23:38
  he
• 23:39
  was
• 23:39
  ripping
• 23:40
  the
• 23:40
  tips.
• 23:40
  And
• 23:40
  so
• 23:41
  I
• 23:41
  started
• 23:41
  doing
• 23:41
  that.
• 23:41
  And
• 23:42
  at
• 23:42
  first
• 23:42
  it
• 23:42
  was
• 23:42
  like,
• 23:43
  that
• 23:43
  was,
• 23:43
  that
• 23:43
  was
• 23:43
  kind
• 23:43
  of
• 23:44
  like
• 23:44
  a
• 23:44
  technique
• 23:44
  that
• 23:44
  I
• 23:44
  had
• 23:45
  to
• 23:45
  wrap
• 23:45
  my
• 23:45
  head
• 23:45
  around.
• 23:46
  But
• 23:47
  that
• 23:48
  preserves
• 23:48
  the
• 23:48
  density
• 23:49
  of
• 23:49
  the
• 23:49
  clumps
• 23:49
  so
• 23:50
  much
• 23:50
  better
• 23:50
  than
• 23:50
  like
• 23:50
  pulling
• 23:51
  tips
• 23:51
  out
• 23:52
  to
• 23:53
  match,
• 23:53
  like
• 23:54
  the
• 23:54
  length
• 23:54
  that
• 23:54
  you
• 23:54
  want.
• 23:56
  So
• 23:57
  it,
• 23:57
  it
• 23:57
  also
• 23:57
  gives
• 23:58
  you
• 23:58
  just
• 23:58
  a
• 23:58
  much
• 23:58
  more
• 23:59
  full
• 23:59
  look
• 23:59
  when
• 23:59
  you're
• 24:00
  tying
• 24:00
  shorter
• 24:01
  clumps
• 24:01
  of
• 24:01
  craft
• 24:02
  fur.
• 24:03
  So,
• 24:03
  yeah,
• 24:03
  practice
• 24:03
  ripping
• 24:04
  the
• 24:04
  tips
• 24:04
  too,
• 24:04
  because
• 24:04
  that,
• 24:05
  that
• 24:05
  helps
• 24:05
  a
• 24:05
  ton
• 24:06
  and
• 24:06
  it'll
• 24:06
  just
• 24:06
  get
• 24:06
  you
• 24:07
  a
• 24:07
  nicer
• 24:08
  looking
• 24:08
  taper.
• 24:10
  Got
• 24:10
  it.
• 24:10
  And
• 24:10
  so,
• 24:11
  you
• 24:11
  know,
• 24:11
  can
• 24:11
  you
• 24:11
  share
• 24:12
  kind
• 24:12
  of
• 24:12
  your
• 24:13
  kind
• 24:13
  of
• 24:13
  preferred
• 24:14
  hook
• 24:14
  and
• 24:14
  shank
• 24:14
  combinations
• 24:15
  maybe
• 24:15
  for
• 24:15
  your,
• 24:16
  you
• 24:16
  know,
• 24:16
  your
• 24:17
  favorite
• 24:17
  sizes
• 24:17
  and
• 24:18
  maybe
• 24:18
  some
• 24:18
  favorite
• 24:18
  color
• 24:19
  combos?
• 24:21
  Yeah,
• 24:21
  so
• 24:21
  I
• 24:22
  would
• 24:22
  say
• 24:22
  as
• 24:22
  far
• 24:22
  as
• 24:23
  hooks
• 24:23
  go,
• 24:25
  I'm
• 24:25
  only
• 24:25
  using
• 24:25
  a
• 24:26
  rex
• 24:26
  and
• 24:27
  occasionally
• 24:28
  B10S's.
• 24:31
  The
• 24:31
  standard
• 24:32
  size
• 24:32
  is
• 24:32
  going
• 24:32
  to
• 24:32
  be
• 24:33
  that,
• 24:33
  like
• 24:33
  25
• 24:34
  mil
• 24:34
  shank
• 24:34
  that
• 24:35
  I
• 24:35
  cut
• 24:35
  in
• 24:35
  half.
• 24:35
  I
• 24:36
  guess
• 24:36
  it
• 24:36
  could
• 24:36
  be
• 24:36
  a
• 24:36
  15
• 24:37
  if
• 24:37
  you're
• 24:38
  just
• 24:38
  using
• 24:38
  a
• 24:38
  standard
• 24:39
  shank
• 24:40
  and
• 24:40
  then
• 24:40
  a
• 24:41
  size
• 24:41
  two
• 24:41
  trout
• 24:42
  predator,
• 24:42
  either
• 24:42
  light
• 24:43
  or
• 24:43
  standard
• 24:44
  to
• 24:44
  a
• 24:44
  size
• 24:45
  one.
• 24:47
  Sometimes
• 24:47
  I'll
• 24:47
  do
• 24:47
  one,
• 24:48
  and
• 24:48
  one
• 24:48
  ought
• 24:49
  especially
• 24:49
  like,
• 24:50
  you
• 24:50
  know,
• 24:50
  just
• 24:51
  squeezing
• 24:51
  a
• 24:51
  little
• 24:51
  bit
• 24:52
  more
• 24:52
  length
• 24:52
  out
• 24:52
  of
• 24:52
  a
• 24:53
  fly
• 24:53
  and
• 24:54
  the
• 24:54
  hook
• 24:54
  penetration
• 24:55
  doesn't
• 24:55
  really
• 24:55
  go
• 24:55
  down.
• 24:56
  And
• 24:56
  in
• 24:56
  the
• 24:56
  springtime,
• 24:57
  that
• 24:57
  little
• 24:57
  bit
• 24:58
  of
• 24:58
  exercise
• 24:58
  kind
• 24:58
  of
• 24:59
  helps.
• 25:00
  I
• 25:00
  have
• 25:00
  done
• 25:01
  some
• 25:01
  with
• 25:01
  a.
• 25:03
  A
• 25:04
  one
• 25:04
  in
• 25:04
  the
• 25:04
  back
• 25:04
  and
• 25:05
  then
• 25:05
  two
• 25:05
  beads
• 25:06
  and
• 25:06
  then
• 25:06
  like
• 25:06
  a
• 25:06
  2o
• 25:07
  worm
• 25:07
  hook
• 25:07
  like
• 25:08
  you
• 25:08
  would
• 25:08
  see
• 25:08
  on
• 25:08
  the
• 25:08
  swinging
• 25:08
  D
• 25:09
  in
• 25:09
  the
• 25:09
  front.
• 25:09
  Um,
• 25:10
  and
• 25:10
  that's
• 25:10
  a
• 25:11
  little
• 25:11
  long
• 25:12
  for
• 25:12
  just
• 25:13
  craft
• 25:13
  fur.
• 25:13
  So
• 25:14
  you
• 25:14
  can
• 25:14
  use
• 25:14
  a,
• 25:15
  like
• 25:15
  a
• 25:15
  little
• 25:15
  bucktail
• 25:16
  tie
• 25:16
  in
• 25:16
  to
• 25:16
  kind
• 25:16
  of
• 25:16
  prop
• 25:17
  the
• 25:17
  crafter
• 25:17
  up
• 25:17
  a
• 25:17
  little
• 25:18
  bit.
• 25:18
  You
• 25:18
  know,
• 25:19
  kind
• 25:19
  of
• 25:19
  learn
• 25:19
  learning
• 25:20
  from
• 25:20
  the
• 25:20
  Laskas
• 25:20
  fly.
• 25:23
  And
• 25:23
  I
• 25:24
  have
• 25:24
  had
• 25:24
  success
• 25:26
  with
• 25:26
  the
• 25:26
  Lafkus
• 25:27
  platform
• 25:28
  with,
• 25:28
  like,
• 25:28
  a
• 25:28
  shank,
• 25:29
  a
• 25:29
  size
• 25:30
  4
• 25:30
  trout
• 25:30
  predator,
• 25:31
  and
• 25:31
  a
• 25:32
  size
• 25:32
  2
• 25:32
  minnow
• 25:33
  up
• 25:33
  front.
• 25:34
  So
• 25:34
  I
• 25:34
  tied
• 25:35
  some
• 25:35
  nut
• 25:35
  jobs
• 25:36
  on
• 25:36
  that
• 25:36
  platform
• 25:37
  and
• 25:37
  caught
• 25:37
  trout
• 25:38
  in
• 25:38
  the
• 25:38
  West
• 25:38
  Branch
• 25:38
  of
• 25:38
  the
• 25:38
  Delaware
• 25:39
  with
• 25:39
  that.
• 25:39
  And
• 25:40
  it
• 25:41
  was
• 25:41
  a
• 25:41
  nice
• 25:41
  smallmouth
• 25:41
  fly.
• 25:43
  And
• 25:43
  I
• 25:43
  haven't
• 25:43
  tied
• 25:44
  any
• 25:44
  because
• 25:44
  I
• 25:45
  started
• 25:45
  tying
• 25:45
  a
• 25:45
  single
• 25:46
  version,
• 25:48
  and
• 25:48
  I'm
• 25:48
  tying
• 25:48
  that
• 25:49
  with
• 25:50
  two
• 25:50
  shanks
• 25:51
  off
• 25:51
  of
• 25:51
  a
• 25:51
  size
• 25:52
  2
• 25:52
  or
• 25:52
  a
• 25:53
  size
• 25:53
  1
• 25:53
  B10s.
• 25:55
  Got
• 25:56
  it.
• 25:56
  And
• 25:56
  on
• 25:56
  the
• 25:56
  single
• 25:57
  nut
• 25:57
  job,
• 25:57
  any
• 25:58
  other
• 25:58
  adjustments
• 25:58
  you
• 25:59
  need
• 25:59
  to
• 25:59
  kind
• 25:59
  of
• 25:59
  make
• 25:59
  in
• 25:59
  the
• 26:00
  tie,
• 26:00
  you
• 26:00
  know,
• 26:01
  to
• 26:02
  make
• 26:02
  it
• 26:02
  swim
• 26:02
  like
• 26:03
  the.
• 26:03
  Like
• 26:03
  the
• 26:04
  regular
• 26:04
  nut
• 26:04
  job.
• 26:08
  So
• 26:08
  I
• 26:08
  feel
• 26:08
  like.
• 26:08
  I
• 26:09
  feel
• 26:09
  like
• 26:09
  there
• 26:09
  was
• 26:09
  more
• 26:09
  thought
• 26:10
  that
• 26:10
  went
• 26:10
  into
• 26:12
  that
• 26:12
  than
• 26:12
  the
• 26:13
  double,
• 26:14
  because
• 26:14
  usually
• 26:15
  sizing
• 26:15
  down
• 26:15
  a
• 26:15
  swim
• 26:16
  fly
• 26:16
  is.
• 26:18
  You
• 26:18
  lose
• 26:18
  a
• 26:18
  lot
• 26:19
  because
• 26:21
  it
• 26:21
  must
• 26:21
  have
• 26:21
  something
• 26:21
  to
• 26:22
  do
• 26:22
  with,
• 26:22
  like,
• 26:22
  the
• 26:22
  diameter
• 26:23
  of
• 26:23
  the
• 26:23
  fly
• 26:23
  line
• 26:24
  and
• 26:24
  then
• 26:24
  your
• 26:24
  leader.
• 26:25
  But
• 26:26
  for
• 26:26
  some
• 26:26
  reason,
• 26:26
  like,
• 26:27
  micro
• 26:28
  changers,
• 26:29
  like,
• 26:30
  I.
• 26:31
  I
• 26:31
  could
• 26:31
  never
• 26:32
  tie
• 26:32
  them
• 26:33
  myself
• 26:33
  to
• 26:33
  where
• 26:33
  I
• 26:33
  was
• 26:33
  like,
• 26:34
  oh,
• 26:34
  like,
• 26:34
  I'll
• 26:34
  fish
• 26:34
  this.
• 26:35
  Or
• 26:36
  even
• 26:36
  like
• 26:36
  some
• 26:36
  smaller
• 26:36
  finesse
• 26:37
  changers.
• 26:37
  Like,
• 26:37
  when
• 26:37
  you
• 26:37
  lose
• 26:38
  length,
• 26:38
  you
• 26:38
  lose
• 26:38
  a
• 26:38
  lot
• 26:39
  of
• 26:39
  that
• 26:39
  kick.
• 26:41
  So
• 26:42
  when
• 26:42
  I
• 26:43
  sized
• 26:43
  down
• 26:43
  the
• 26:44
  nut
• 26:44
  job,
• 26:44
  I
• 26:44
  wasn't
• 26:44
  really
• 26:45
  expecting
• 26:45
  much,
• 26:46
  but
• 26:46
  for
• 26:46
  some
• 26:47
  reason,
• 26:49
  I.
• 26:51
  So
• 26:51
  I
• 26:52
  was
• 26:52
  watching
• 26:52
  something
• 26:52
  with
• 26:53
  Russ,
• 26:53
  or
• 26:53
  maybe
• 26:53
  even
• 26:53
  we
• 26:54
  were
• 26:54
  talking
• 26:54
  at
• 26:54
  Bob
• 26:54
  in
• 26:55
  the
• 26:55
  Hood,
• 26:55
  and
• 26:55
  he
• 26:56
  was
• 26:56
  talking
• 26:56
  about,
• 26:58
  you
• 26:58
  know
• 26:58
  what,
• 26:58
  Marvin,
• 26:59
  it
• 26:59
  was
• 26:59
  on
• 26:59
  your
• 26:59
  podcast.
• 27:00
  I
• 27:00
  think
• 27:00
  he
• 27:00
  was
• 27:00
  talking
• 27:01
  about
• 27:01
  putting
• 27:02
  two
• 27:02
  shanks
• 27:03
  off
• 27:03
  of
• 27:03
  the
• 27:03
  rear
• 27:03
  hook
• 27:03
  for
• 27:04
  the
• 27:04
  flicker
• 27:04
  tail
• 27:06
  and,
• 27:06
  like,
• 27:07
  for
• 27:07
  the
• 27:07
  big
• 27:07
  tailwater
• 27:08
  circus
• 27:08
  peanuts.
• 27:10
  And
• 27:10
  that's.
• 27:11
  I
• 27:11
  was
• 27:11
  like,
• 27:12
  well,
• 27:12
  what
• 27:13
  if
• 27:13
  I
• 27:13
  did,
• 27:13
  like,
• 27:14
  tail
• 27:15
  and
• 27:15
  then
• 27:15
  a
• 27:15
  shank
• 27:15
  just
• 27:16
  for
• 27:16
  movement
• 27:18
  in
• 27:18
  the
• 27:18
  middle,
• 27:18
  like,
• 27:19
  not.
• 27:19
  Not
• 27:19
  really
• 27:19
  movement
• 27:20
  on
• 27:20
  the
• 27:20
  swim,
• 27:20
  but
• 27:21
  movement
• 27:21
  as
• 27:21
  far
• 27:21
  as,
• 27:22
  like,
• 27:22
  getting
• 27:22
  that
• 27:23
  tail
• 27:23
  to
• 27:25
  kind
• 27:25
  of,
• 27:25
  like,
• 27:25
  touch
• 27:25
  the
• 27:25
  eye
• 27:26
  of
• 27:26
  the
• 27:26
  hook,
• 27:26
  which
• 27:26
  is
• 27:27
  what
• 27:27
  you'll
• 27:27
  see
• 27:27
  on,
• 27:28
  like,
• 27:28
  a
• 27:28
  game
• 27:29
  changer
• 27:29
  or
• 27:30
  a
• 27:31
  shank
• 27:31
  hook,
• 27:31
  hook,
• 27:32
  fly.
• 27:33
  So
• 27:34
  I
• 27:35
  think
• 27:35
  I
• 27:35
  was,
• 27:35
  like,
• 27:35
  cleaning
• 27:36
  my
• 27:36
  truck,
• 27:36
  listening
• 27:36
  to
• 27:37
  that
• 27:37
  podcast,
• 27:38
  went
• 27:38
  in
• 27:38
  and
• 27:38
  tied
• 27:39
  one,
• 27:40
  and
• 27:40
  I
• 27:40
  was
• 27:40
  like,
• 27:40
  well,
• 27:40
  this
• 27:40
  looks
• 27:41
  kind
• 27:41
  of
• 27:41
  silly
• 27:41
  because
• 27:41
  it's
• 27:42
  just
• 27:42
  marabou
• 27:43
  with
• 27:44
  finesse,
• 27:44
  and
• 27:45
  then
• 27:45
  it.
• 27:45
  Some
• 27:45
  rubber
• 27:46
  legs
• 27:47
  and
• 27:47
  then
• 27:48
  a
• 27:48
  shank
• 27:48
  that
• 27:49
  just
• 27:49
  has
• 27:49
  finesse
• 27:50
  and
• 27:51
  then,
• 27:51
  like,
• 27:51
  you
• 27:51
  know,
• 27:51
  standard
• 27:52
  front
• 27:52
  hook
• 27:53
  nut
• 27:53
  job
• 27:53
  setup.
• 27:54
  So
• 27:54
  it
• 27:54
  looked
• 27:55
  a
• 27:55
  little
• 27:55
  silly,
• 27:55
  but
• 27:55
  the
• 27:55
  tail
• 27:56
  hit
• 27:56
  the
• 27:56
  eye
• 27:57
  of
• 27:57
  the
• 27:57
  hook,
• 27:58
  and
• 27:58
  that's.
• 27:59
  That
• 27:59
  gave
• 27:59
  me
• 27:59
  confidence
• 28:00
  to
• 28:00
  actually
• 28:00
  fish
• 28:00
  it.
• 28:01
  And
• 28:01
  when
• 28:01
  I
• 28:01
  fished
• 28:02
  it
• 28:02
  in
• 28:02
  the
• 28:02
  spring,
• 28:02
  I
• 28:02
  was
• 28:03
  like,
• 28:03
  oh,
• 28:03
  okay,
• 28:04
  this
• 28:04
  is
• 28:04
  like
• 28:05
  a
• 28:06
  single
• 28:06
  hook
• 28:06
  fly
• 28:08
  that
• 28:08
  I'm
• 28:08
  actually
• 28:09
  gonna
• 28:09
  fish.
• 28:10
  So
• 28:10
  that.
• 28:10
  That
• 28:10
  was.
• 28:11
  That
• 28:11
  was
• 28:11
  more
• 28:11
  exciting
• 28:11
  to
• 28:11
  me
• 28:12
  than
• 28:12
  the
• 28:12
  actual,
• 28:12
  like,
• 28:13
  what
• 28:13
  we're
• 28:14
  talking
• 28:14
  about
• 28:14
  today,
• 28:14
  like,
• 28:14
  the
• 28:15
  nut
• 28:15
  job.
• 28:15
  I
• 28:15
  think
• 28:15
  the
• 28:15
  single
• 28:16
  was
• 28:16
  definitely
• 28:17
  more
• 28:17
  of
• 28:17
  a
• 28:17
  surprise
• 28:18
  to
• 28:18
  me.
• 28:19
  Very
• 28:19
  neat.
• 28:19
  And
• 28:20
  so,
• 28:20
  you
• 28:20
  know,
• 28:21
  what
• 28:21
  are
• 28:21
  some
• 28:21
  common
• 28:22
  mistakes
• 28:23
  that
• 28:23
  folks
• 28:23
  make
• 28:23
  when
• 28:24
  they
• 28:24
  tie
• 28:24
  the
• 28:24
  nut
• 28:24
  job
• 28:25
  or
• 28:25
  even
• 28:25
  the
• 28:25
  single
• 28:25
  nut
• 28:26
  job?
• 28:28
  Too
• 28:29
  sparse
• 28:29
  is
• 28:29
  something
• 28:30
  I
• 28:30
  see
• 28:30
  a
• 28:30
  lot.
• 28:33
  Usually
• 28:35
  doesn't
• 28:36
  happen
• 28:36
  very,
• 28:36
  like,
• 28:37
  super
• 28:37
  often,
• 28:37
  because
• 28:37
  I'll,
• 28:38
  like,
• 28:38
  if
• 28:38
  someone
• 28:38
  tags
• 28:38
  me
• 28:38
  in
• 28:39
  something
• 28:39
  and
• 28:39
  it
• 28:39
  looks
• 28:39
  too
• 28:39
  sparse,
• 28:40
  I'll
• 28:40
  just
• 28:40
  say,
• 28:40
  like,
• 28:40
  hey,
• 28:41
  like,
• 28:41
  you
• 28:41
  know,
• 28:42
  try
• 28:43
  adding
• 28:44
  twice
• 28:44
  as
• 28:44
  much
• 28:44
  craft
• 28:44
  fair
• 28:45
  to
• 28:45
  the
• 28:45
  front.
• 28:45
  You
• 28:46
  know,
• 28:47
  quarter
• 28:47
  inch
• 28:47
  longer
• 28:47
  on
• 28:48
  the
• 28:48
  butt.
• 28:48
  On
• 28:48
  the
• 28:48
  butts.
• 28:49
  And
• 28:49
  then
• 28:51
  most
• 28:51
  of
• 28:51
  the
• 28:52
  ones
• 28:52
  I'm
• 28:52
  seeing
• 28:52
  now
• 28:52
  are,
• 28:53
  like,
• 28:53
  dialed,
• 28:54
  which
• 28:54
  is
• 28:54
  sick.
• 28:54
  Like,
• 28:54
  it's
• 28:55
  really
• 28:55
  cool
• 28:55
  to
• 28:55
  see
• 28:56
  people
• 28:56
  tying
• 28:56
  the
• 28:56
  fly
• 28:57
  and,
• 28:57
  like,
• 28:57
  tying
• 28:57
  it
• 28:57
  really
• 28:58
  well.
• 28:59
  Whereas
• 28:59
  I
• 28:59
  feel
• 28:59
  like
• 29:00
  some
• 29:00
  of
• 29:00
  the
• 29:00
  other
• 29:01
  swim
• 29:01
  flies
• 29:02
  are
• 29:02
  a
• 29:02
  little
• 29:03
  bit,
• 29:03
  like
• 29:03
  the
• 29:04
  nut
• 29:04
  jobs,
• 29:04
  nowhere
• 29:04
  near
• 29:04
  as
• 29:05
  popular.
• 29:05
  So
• 29:05
  there
• 29:05
  aren't
• 29:06
  people
• 29:07
  posting
• 29:07
  a
• 29:07
  lot
• 29:07
  of
• 29:08
  poor
• 29:08
  ones,
• 29:08
  you
• 29:08
  know,
• 29:09
  But
• 29:10
  I'm
• 29:10
  just
• 29:10
  really
• 29:10
  excited
• 29:11
  to
• 29:11
  see
• 29:11
  people
• 29:11
  tying
• 29:11
  them.
• 29:12
  Well,
• 29:12
  I
• 29:13
  think
• 29:15
  when
• 29:15
  you're.
• 29:15
  When
• 29:15
  you're
• 29:16
  tying
• 29:16
  the
• 29:16
  tail,
• 29:17
  like,
• 29:18
  if
• 29:18
  you
• 29:18
  watch
• 29:18
  the
• 29:19
  video,
• 29:19
  you
• 29:19
  can
• 29:19
  see,
• 29:19
  like,
• 29:20
  I'm
• 29:20
  a
• 29:20
  very
• 29:22
  anal
• 29:22
  or
• 29:22
  thoughtful
• 29:23
  tire.
• 29:24
  Like,
• 29:24
  I.
• 29:24
  I
• 29:25
  take
• 29:25
  consideration
• 29:25
  in,
• 29:26
  like,
• 29:26
  every.
• 29:27
  Every
• 29:27
  time
• 29:27
  I
• 29:27
  tie
• 29:27
  in
• 29:27
  a
• 29:27
  material,
• 29:28
  I'm,
• 29:28
  like,
• 29:28
  looking
• 29:28
  at
• 29:29
  it
• 29:29
  to
• 29:29
  make
• 29:29
  sure
• 29:29
  it's
• 29:29
  exactly
• 29:30
  where
• 29:30
  I
• 29:30
  want
• 29:30
  it.
• 29:30
  So
• 29:32
  getting
• 29:32
  the
• 29:32
  tail
• 29:33
  to
• 29:35
  look
• 29:35
  right
• 29:35
  and
• 29:36
  act
• 29:36
  right,
• 29:36
  you
• 29:36
  have
• 29:37
  to
• 29:37
  hold
• 29:39
  the
• 29:39
  feathers
• 29:39
  by
• 29:39
  the
• 29:40
  tips,
• 29:40
  and
• 29:40
  then
• 29:40
  anything
• 29:41
  that
• 29:41
  isn't
• 29:42
  being
• 29:42
  captured
• 29:42
  by
• 29:43
  your.
• 29:43
  Your
• 29:43
  fingers
• 29:44
  needs
• 29:44
  to
• 29:44
  come
• 29:44
  off
• 29:44
  of
• 29:44
  that
• 29:45
  plume
• 29:45
  of
• 29:46
  feather.
• 29:46
  So
• 29:46
  it
• 29:47
  just.
• 29:47
  It
• 29:47
  makes
• 29:47
  it
• 29:47
  look
• 29:48
  a
• 29:48
  lot
• 29:48
  cleaner.
• 29:48
  And
• 29:48
  then
• 29:48
  you're
• 29:49
  also
• 29:49
  not
• 29:49
  getting
• 29:49
  more
• 29:50
  bulk
• 29:50
  at
• 29:50
  the
• 29:50
  tie
• 29:50
  in
• 29:51
  point
• 29:51
  than
• 29:51
  you
• 29:51
  have
• 29:51
  at
• 29:51
  the
• 29:52
  end
• 29:52
  of
• 29:52
  the
• 29:52
  feather.
• 29:52
  So
• 29:52
  you
• 29:53
  get
• 29:53
  more,
• 29:54
  more
• 29:54
  of
• 29:54
  that,
• 29:54
  like
• 29:56
  proper,
• 29:56
  like
• 29:57
  full
• 29:58
  wag
• 29:58
  of
• 29:58
  the
• 29:59
  tail
• 29:59
  on
• 29:59
  your
• 30:00
  pauses.
• 30:03
  It's
• 30:03
  the
• 30:03
  other
• 30:04
  tips.
• 30:05
  I
• 30:05
  think
• 30:06
  it's
• 30:06
  very
• 30:06
  easy
• 30:07
  to
• 30:07
  go
• 30:07
  too
• 30:07
  heavy
• 30:08
  on
• 30:08
  the
• 30:08
  chenille.
• 30:10
  So
• 30:10
  I'm,
• 30:10
  I'm
• 30:10
  not
• 30:11
  doing
• 30:11
  like
• 30:11
  touching
• 30:12
  wraps
• 30:12
  like
• 30:12
  you
• 30:12
  would
• 30:12
  be
• 30:12
  if
• 30:13
  you
• 30:13
  were
• 30:13
  tying
• 30:13
  a
• 30:13
  finesse
• 30:14
  changer.
• 30:15
  Anything
• 30:16
  where
• 30:16
  you
• 30:16
  wanted
• 30:16
  to
• 30:16
  like,
• 30:16
  add
• 30:16
  density
• 30:17
  with
• 30:17
  that
• 30:17
  core.
• 30:18
  The
• 30:18
  core
• 30:18
  is
• 30:18
  strictly
• 30:19
  just
• 30:19
  to
• 30:19
  like,
• 30:21
  keep
• 30:21
  that
• 30:21
  material
• 30:22
  off
• 30:22
  the
• 30:22
  shank.
• 30:24
  And
• 30:24
  it's
• 30:24
  also
• 30:25
  a
• 30:25
  very
• 30:26
  like,
• 30:28
  flat
• 30:28
  material.
• 30:29
  So
• 30:29
  like
• 30:29
  finesse
• 30:30
  chenille
• 30:30
  is
• 30:30
  going
• 30:30
  to
• 30:30
  deflect
• 30:31
  water.
• 30:32
  And
• 30:32
  I
• 30:33
  think
• 30:33
  like,
• 30:33
  that
• 30:33
  aids
• 30:34
  into
• 30:34
  like
• 30:34
  the,
• 30:34
  the
• 30:35
  slipperiness
• 30:36
  property
• 30:36
  that
• 30:36
  that
• 30:37
  material
• 30:37
  has
• 30:37
  as
• 30:38
  the
• 30:38
  core
• 30:38
  of
• 30:38
  a
• 30:38
  fly.
• 30:40
  As
• 30:41
  far
• 30:41
  as
• 30:41
  silicone
• 30:42
  legs
• 30:42
  go,
• 30:43
  I
• 30:43
  think
• 30:43
  you
• 30:43
  should
• 30:45
  add
• 30:45
  as
• 30:45
  many
• 30:45
  as
• 30:46
  you
• 30:46
  want
• 30:46
  because
• 30:46
  you
• 30:46
  can
• 30:47
  always
• 30:47
  rip
• 30:47
  them
• 30:47
  off
• 30:47
  if
• 30:48
  it
• 30:48
  swims.
• 30:48
  Weird.
• 30:49
  But
• 30:49
  I'm,
• 30:50
  I'm
• 30:50
  a
• 30:50
  big
• 30:50
  fan
• 30:51
  ever
• 30:51
  since,
• 30:52
  ever
• 30:52
  since
• 30:52
  Mike
• 30:52
  put
• 30:53
  the,
• 30:53
  the
• 30:53
  leggy
• 30:54
  boy
• 30:54
  out,
• 30:54
  like,
• 30:54
  I've
• 30:55
  been
• 30:55
  a
• 30:56
  huge
• 30:56
  fan
• 30:56
  of
• 30:56
  that
• 30:56
  fly
• 30:57
  and
• 30:57
  I
• 30:57
  haven't
• 30:57
  fished
• 30:57
  a
• 30:57
  ton
• 30:58
  of
• 30:59
  standard
• 31:00
  feather
• 31:00
  changers.
• 31:02
  There's
• 31:02
  just
• 31:02
  something
• 31:03
  about
• 31:04
  a
• 31:04
  skirted
• 31:05
  swim
• 31:05
  fly
• 31:06
  that
• 31:06
  just
• 31:06
  works.
• 31:08
  So
• 31:09
  don't
• 31:09
  be
• 31:09
  afraid
• 31:09
  to
• 31:09
  add
• 31:10
  like
• 31:12
  six
• 31:13
  legs
• 31:13
  total
• 31:13
  on
• 31:14
  the
• 31:14
  back,
• 31:14
  eight
• 31:14
  legs
• 31:15
  total
• 31:15
  on
• 31:15
  the
• 31:15
  front.
• 31:15
  You
• 31:16
  could
• 31:16
  do
• 31:16
  10
• 31:16
  on
• 31:16
  the
• 31:17
  front.
• 31:17
  And
• 31:18
  like
• 31:18
  I
• 31:18
  said,
• 31:18
  you
• 31:18
  could
• 31:18
  always
• 31:19
  cut
• 31:19
  them
• 31:19
  off
• 31:19
  on
• 31:19
  the
• 31:19
  water.
• 31:20
  You
• 31:20
  know,
• 31:20
  it's
• 31:20
  like
• 31:20
  flash
• 31:21
  if
• 31:21
  you're
• 31:21
  tying
• 31:21
  in
• 31:21
  like
• 31:22
  flash,
• 31:22
  but
• 31:22
  you
• 31:22
  can
• 31:22
  always
• 31:22
  cut
• 31:23
  some
• 31:23
  off.
• 31:24
  And
• 31:26
  yeah,
• 31:27
  I
• 31:27
  think
• 31:29
  a
• 31:29
  general
• 31:29
  tying
• 31:30
  tip,
• 31:31
  like
• 31:31
  not
• 31:31
  even
• 31:32
  just
• 31:32
  for
• 31:32
  the
• 31:32
  nut
• 31:32
  job,
• 31:32
  but
• 31:33
  for
• 31:34
  these
• 31:34
  people
• 31:34
  who
• 31:35
  are
• 31:35
  getting
• 31:35
  into
• 31:36
  tying
• 31:36
  swim
• 31:36
  flies
• 31:37
  or
• 31:38
  aren't
• 31:38
  happy
• 31:38
  with
• 31:38
  their
• 31:39
  swim
• 31:39
  flies
• 31:39
  that
• 31:39
  they
• 31:40
  have
• 31:40
  tied.
• 31:40
  I
• 31:41
  think
• 31:41
  just
• 31:42
  taking
• 31:42
  the
• 31:42
  time
• 31:43
  to
• 31:43
  like,
• 31:45
  watch
• 31:45
  how
• 31:45
  the
• 31:46
  guys
• 31:46
  tie
• 31:46
  them
• 31:47
  who
• 31:47
  created
• 31:47
  the
• 31:48
  fly.
• 31:48
  Like,
• 31:49
  every
• 31:49
  little
• 31:50
  movement
• 31:50
  at
• 31:51
  the
• 31:51
  vice
• 31:52
  is
• 31:52
  something
• 31:52
  that
• 31:54
  has
• 31:55
  years
• 31:55
  of
• 31:55
  experience
• 31:55
  behind
• 31:56
  it.
• 31:56
  And
• 31:57
  like,
• 31:57
  people
• 31:57
  don't
• 31:57
  even
• 31:58
  know
• 31:58
  what
• 31:58
  they're
• 31:58
  doing.
• 31:59
  I've
• 32:00
  tried
• 32:00
  to
• 32:01
  like,
• 32:01
  teach
• 32:01
  classes
• 32:02
  before
• 32:03
  and
• 32:03
  I'm
• 32:03
  like,
• 32:04
  oh,
• 32:05
  yeah.
• 32:05
  Like,
• 32:05
  I
• 32:05
  didn't
• 32:05
  even
• 32:05
  realize
• 32:06
  I
• 32:06
  did
• 32:06
  this,
• 32:06
  but
• 32:06
  I
• 32:06
  should
• 32:06
  probably,
• 32:07
  like,
• 32:08
  explain
• 32:08
  this.
• 32:08
  You
• 32:09
  know,
• 32:09
  it's
• 32:09
  just
• 32:10
  take
• 32:11
  as
• 32:11
  much
• 32:11
  time
• 32:11
  as
• 32:11
  you
• 32:11
  can
• 32:12
  to
• 32:12
  like,
• 32:13
  learn
• 32:14
  how
• 32:14
  to
• 32:14
  tie
• 32:14
  the
• 32:14
  flies
• 32:15
  correctly.
• 32:17
  Take
• 32:18
  care
• 32:18
  in
• 32:18
  every
• 32:18
  tie
• 32:19
  in
• 32:19
  because
• 32:19
  you
• 32:20
  don't
• 32:20
  want
• 32:20
  things
• 32:20
  to
• 32:20
  be
• 32:20
  falling
• 32:21
  out
• 32:21
  while
• 32:21
  you're
• 32:21
  on
• 32:21
  the
• 32:22
  water.
• 32:23
  You're
• 32:23
  spending
• 32:23
  it
• 32:23
  like,
• 32:23
  you
• 32:24
  know,
• 32:24
  30
• 32:25
  to
• 32:25
  an
• 32:26
  hour
• 32:26
  on
• 32:26
  the
• 32:26
  fly.
• 32:26
  You
• 32:27
  don't
• 32:27
  want
• 32:27
  it
• 32:27
  to
• 32:27
  be
• 32:27
  falling
• 32:27
  apart.
• 32:30
  But
• 32:31
  yeah,
• 32:31
  I
• 32:31
  mean,
• 32:31
  just
• 32:32
  don't
• 32:32
  go
• 32:32
  into
• 32:33
  it
• 32:33
  and
• 32:33
  expect
• 32:33
  to
• 32:33
  tie
• 32:34
  a
• 32:34
  Good
• 32:34
  swim
• 32:34
  fly
• 32:35
  the
• 32:35
  first
• 32:35
  try,
• 32:35
  unless
• 32:36
  you
• 32:36
  do
• 32:36
  the
• 32:36
  research.
• 32:38
  Got
• 32:39
  it.
• 32:39
  Any
• 32:39
  tools
• 32:40
  that
• 32:40
  folks
• 32:41
  should
• 32:41
  have
• 32:41
  at
• 32:41
  their
• 32:41
  bench
• 32:42
  to
• 32:42
  make
• 32:42
  it
• 32:42
  easier
• 32:42
  to
• 32:43
  tie
• 32:43
  the
• 32:43
  nut
• 32:43
  job?
• 32:45
  Yeah,
• 32:45
  I
• 32:45
  think
• 32:47
  the
• 32:47
  biggest
• 32:47
  thing
• 32:48
  that
• 32:48
  you
• 32:48
  could
• 32:48
  have
• 32:49
  is
• 32:49
  either
• 32:49
  it's
• 32:50
  something
• 32:50
  to
• 32:50
  push
• 32:50
  the
• 32:50
  craft
• 32:51
  fair
• 32:51
  back
• 32:52
  for
• 32:52
  like,
• 32:52
  a
• 32:52
  clean,
• 32:53
  like,
• 32:53
  almost
• 32:55
  circular
• 32:55
  profile.
• 32:56
  And
• 32:57
  for
• 32:57
  a
• 32:57
  long
• 32:57
  time,
• 32:57
  I've
• 32:58
  been
• 32:58
  using
• 32:58
  a
• 32:58
  bic
• 32:58
  pen.
• 33:00
  I
• 33:00
  don't
• 33:00
  know
• 33:00
  where
• 33:00
  I
• 33:00
  picked
• 33:00
  that
• 33:01
  up
• 33:01
  from,
• 33:01
  so,
• 33:01
  you
• 33:01
  know,
• 33:01
  some.
• 33:02
  Some
• 33:02
  big
• 33:02
  tire
• 33:03
  tying
• 33:03
  bucktail
• 33:04
  probably.
• 33:04
  But
• 33:06
  I've
• 33:07
  been
• 33:07
  using
• 33:07
  the
• 33:08
  MN
• 33:08
  fly
• 33:09
  like
• 33:09
  the.
• 33:10
  The
• 33:10
  standard
• 33:10
  fly
• 33:11
  tool.
• 33:12
  And
• 33:12
  that
• 33:12
  thing
• 33:13
  is.
• 33:14
  It's
• 33:14
  like
• 33:14
  a
• 33:14
  bic
• 33:15
  pen
• 33:15
  made
• 33:15
  of
• 33:15
  glass.
• 33:16
  Basically.
• 33:16
  It's
• 33:16
  like
• 33:17
  the
• 33:17
  Ferrari
• 33:18
  of
• 33:18
  thick
• 33:18
  pens
• 33:19
  as
• 33:19
  far
• 33:19
  as,
• 33:19
  like,
• 33:19
  pushing
• 33:20
  back
• 33:20
  materials
• 33:20
  go.
• 33:22
  So
• 33:22
  for
• 33:23
  a
• 33:23
  long
• 33:23
  time,
• 33:23
  I'd
• 33:23
  have
• 33:24
  to,
• 33:24
  like,
• 33:26
  I'd
• 33:26
  be
• 33:26
  breaking
• 33:27
  thread,
• 33:27
  doing
• 33:27
  half
• 33:27
  hitches
• 33:28
  on
• 33:28
  the
• 33:28
  pen,
• 33:28
  and
• 33:29
  it
• 33:29
  was
• 33:29
  just
• 33:29
  all
• 33:29
  chewed
• 33:30
  up.
• 33:30
  And
• 33:30
  I
• 33:30
  would
• 33:30
  get
• 33:30
  a
• 33:30
  new
• 33:31
  pen
• 33:31
  and
• 33:31
  it
• 33:31
  gets
• 33:31
  all
• 33:31
  chewed
• 33:32
  up.
• 33:32
  So
• 33:32
  this
• 33:32
  thing
• 33:33
  just.
• 33:33
  It
• 33:33
  makes.
• 33:33
  Makes
• 33:34
  life
• 33:34
  a
• 33:34
  lot
• 33:34
  easier.
• 33:35
  And
• 33:35
  I've
• 33:35
  been
• 33:35
  like,
• 33:36
  really
• 33:36
  happy
• 33:36
  with
• 33:36
  it.
• 33:37
  And
• 33:37
  it's
• 33:37
  like,
• 33:38
  it's
• 33:38
  not
• 33:38
  often
• 33:40
  there's
• 33:40
  like,
• 33:41
  something
• 33:41
  comes
• 33:41
  along
• 33:41
  that
• 33:42
  just,
• 33:42
  like,
• 33:42
  makes
• 33:42
  life
• 33:42
  a
• 33:43
  lot
• 33:43
  easier
• 33:44
  at
• 33:44
  the
• 33:44
  tying
• 33:44
  desk.
• 33:44
  So
• 33:45
  that
• 33:45
  I
• 33:45
  was
• 33:45
  very,
• 33:45
  very
• 33:46
  pleased
• 33:46
  with
• 33:46
  that.
• 33:47
  Yeah,
• 33:47
  I'll
• 33:47
  try
• 33:47
  to
• 33:48
  find
• 33:48
  it
• 33:48
  and
• 33:48
  drop
• 33:48
  a
• 33:48
  link
• 33:49
  to
• 33:49
  it
• 33:49
  in
• 33:49
  the
• 33:49
  show
• 33:49
  notes.
• 33:49
  And,
• 33:50
  you
• 33:50
  know,
• 33:50
  if
• 33:50
  we
• 33:50
  shift
• 33:51
  gears
• 33:51
  to
• 33:51
  fishing
• 33:52
  the
• 33:52
  fly,
• 33:53
  you
• 33:53
  know,
• 33:53
  where
• 33:54
  do
• 33:54
  you
• 33:54
  generally
• 33:54
  like
• 33:55
  to
• 33:55
  fish
• 33:55
  the
• 33:55
  nut
• 33:55
  job?
• 33:56
  In
• 33:56
  the
• 33:56
  water
• 33:56
  column.
• 33:58
  I
• 33:59
  like
• 33:59
  to
• 33:59
  fish
• 33:59
  it
• 34:00
  as
• 34:00
  high
• 34:00
  as
• 34:00
  I
• 34:00
  can
• 34:00
  while
• 34:01
  still
• 34:01
  getting
• 34:01
  eats.
• 34:03
  So
• 34:03
  that's
• 34:03
  kind
• 34:04
  of
• 34:04
  where
• 34:04
  like,
• 34:04
  the
• 34:04
  multiple
• 34:05
  weight
• 34:06
  options
• 34:06
  comes
• 34:06
  into
• 34:06
  play.
• 34:10
  Sometimes
• 34:10
  fishing
• 34:11
  that.
• 34:11
  That
• 34:12
  bright
• 34:12
  fly
• 34:12
  where
• 34:13
  you
• 34:13
  can
• 34:13
  still
• 34:13
  see
• 34:13
  it
• 34:14
  isn't
• 34:14
  the
• 34:14
  right
• 34:14
  move
• 34:14
  in
• 34:15
  dirty
• 34:15
  water.
• 34:16
  So,
• 34:16
  like,
• 34:16
  you
• 34:17
  have
• 34:17
  that,
• 34:17
  the
• 34:17
  bright
• 34:18
  fly,
• 34:18
  the
• 34:18
  fish
• 34:18
  can
• 34:18
  see
• 34:18
  it,
• 34:19
  but
• 34:19
  it's.
• 34:19
  It
• 34:19
  might
• 34:19
  be
• 34:20
  out
• 34:20
  of
• 34:20
  your,
• 34:21
  you.
• 34:21
  Know.
• 34:24
  Out
• 34:24
  of
• 34:24
  your
• 34:24
  sight,
• 34:24
  and
• 34:25
  the
• 34:25
  fish
• 34:25
  are
• 34:26
  gonna
• 34:26
  pick
• 34:26
  it
• 34:26
  up.
• 34:27
  But
• 34:27
  it
• 34:27
  kind
• 34:28
  of.
• 34:28
  You
• 34:28
  lose
• 34:28
  that
• 34:28
  element
• 34:29
  of
• 34:30
  fishing
• 34:30
  a
• 34:30
  bright
• 34:31
  swim
• 34:31
  fly.
• 34:32
  That
• 34:32
  makes
• 34:32
  it
• 34:32
  fun.
• 34:36
  But
• 34:36
  yeah,
• 34:36
  I
• 34:36
  mean,
• 34:36
  I'm.
• 34:37
  I
• 34:37
  fish
• 34:37
  it
• 34:37
  like
• 34:37
  a
• 34:38
  circus
• 34:38
  peanut
• 34:38
  in
• 34:39
  March.
• 34:39
  So
• 34:39
  I'm
• 34:40
  fishing
• 34:40
  it
• 34:40
  like,
• 34:40
  meaning
• 34:41
  I'm
• 34:41
  fishing
• 34:41
  it
• 34:41
  low
• 34:42
  with
• 34:42
  the
• 34:43
  7:30
• 34:43
  seconds
• 34:44
  or
• 34:44
  just
• 34:44
  kind
• 34:44
  of
• 34:44
  like
• 34:44
  dead
• 34:45
  drifting
• 34:45
  at
• 34:45
  3:16
• 34:46
  on
• 34:47
  a
• 34:47
  type
• 34:47
  3
• 34:47
  sink
• 34:48
  tip.
• 34:49
  But
• 34:50
  as
• 34:50
  soon
• 34:50
  as
• 34:50
  fish
• 34:51
  start
• 34:51
  looking
• 34:51
  up
• 34:52
  in
• 34:52
  the
• 34:52
  water
• 34:52
  column
• 34:53
  and
• 34:53
  start
• 34:53
  chasing,
• 34:54
  like,
• 34:54
  I'll
• 34:55
  start
• 34:55
  to
• 34:55
  fish
• 34:55
  a
• 34:55
  little
• 34:55
  bit
• 34:55
  lighter.
• 34:56
  So
• 34:56
  I'll
• 34:57
  be
• 34:57
  like
• 34:57
  316
• 34:58
  and
• 34:58
  then
• 35:00
  025
• 35:00
  or
• 35:01
  030
• 35:02
  keel,
• 35:03
  killing
• 35:03
  it
• 35:03
  on
• 35:03
  the
• 35:03
  water.
• 35:05
  Got
• 35:05
  it.
• 35:05
  Do
• 35:06
  you
• 35:06
  change
• 35:06
  the
• 35:06
  fly
• 35:06
  line.
• 35:11
  This
• 35:11
  year?
• 35:12
  I
• 35:12
  think
• 35:12
  we
• 35:12
  talked
• 35:12
  about
• 35:12
  it
• 35:13
  in
• 35:13
  the
• 35:13
  roost
• 35:13
  report.
• 35:14
  I
• 35:15
  fished
• 35:15
  the
• 35:15
  Type
• 35:16
  3
• 35:16
  sink
• 35:16
  tip
• 35:17
  for
• 35:17
  a
• 35:17
  long
• 35:17
  time,
• 35:17
  way
• 35:18
  more
• 35:18
  than
• 35:18
  I
• 35:18
  normally
• 35:19
  would
• 35:19
  have.
• 35:20
  And
• 35:20
  I
• 35:21
  think
• 35:22
  just
• 35:22
  the
• 35:23
  way
• 35:23
  I'm
• 35:23
  fishing
• 35:23
  with
• 35:24
  like
• 35:24
  manipulating
• 35:25
  the
• 35:25
  rod
• 35:25
  and
• 35:25
  the
• 35:25
  line
• 35:26
  so
• 35:26
  much
• 35:26
  as
• 35:26
  opposed
• 35:27
  to
• 35:27
  just
• 35:27
  stripping
• 35:27
  the
• 35:27
  fly
• 35:29
  that
• 35:29
  the,
• 35:30
  the
• 35:30
  running
• 35:30
  floating
• 35:30
  line
• 35:31
  allows
• 35:32
  you
• 35:32
  to
• 35:32
  control
• 35:32
  the
• 35:32
  fly
• 35:33
  a
• 35:33
  lot
• 35:33
  better
• 35:33
  and
• 35:34
  across
• 35:34
  multiple
• 35:34
  currents
• 35:35
  or
• 35:35
  even
• 35:35
  just
• 35:35
  like
• 35:36
  one
• 35:36
  current
• 35:36
  scene.
• 35:38
  So
• 35:38
  this
• 35:38
  year
• 35:38
  I
• 35:39
  didn't
• 35:39
  switch
• 35:39
  to
• 35:39
  an
• 35:39
  intermediate
• 35:40
  until
• 35:41
  pretty
• 35:42
  late
• 35:42
  in
• 35:42
  the
• 35:42
  season.
• 35:44
  Normally
• 35:44
  I'd
• 35:44
  be
• 35:44
  fishing
• 35:45
  it
• 35:45
  like
• 35:45
  the
• 35:45
  whole
• 35:45
  season
• 35:46
  and
• 35:46
  then
• 35:46
  I
• 35:46
  would
• 35:46
  throw
• 35:47
  the
• 35:47
  type
• 35:47
  3
• 35:47
  on
• 35:47
  with
• 35:48
  A,
• 35:48
  a
• 35:48
  really
• 35:48
  buoyant
• 35:49
  fly
• 35:49
  or
• 35:49
  something.
• 35:51
  But
• 35:52
  the
• 35:53
  intermediate
• 35:55
  was
• 35:55
  more
• 35:55
  in
• 35:55
  play
• 35:55
  under
• 35:56
  like
• 35:56
  average
• 35:56
  conditions
• 35:57
  for
• 35:57
  me
• 35:57
  this
• 35:57
  year
• 35:57
  with
• 35:57
  the
• 35:57
  nut
• 35:58
  job.
• 35:59
  Got
• 35:59
  it.
• 35:59
  And
• 35:59
  what's
• 36:00
  your
• 36:00
  favorite
• 36:01
  flavor
• 36:01
  of
• 36:01
  leader
• 36:02
  setup?
• 36:04
  Leader
• 36:04
  setup.
• 36:05
  Like
• 36:05
  pretty
• 36:05
  standard
• 36:06
  Schultz
• 36:06
  Outfitters
• 36:07
  video
• 36:07
  setup.
• 36:09
  I
• 36:10
  used
• 36:10
  hatch
• 36:10
  fluorocarbon
• 36:11
  for
• 36:11
  a
• 36:11
  long
• 36:11
  time.
• 36:11
  Now
• 36:12
  I've
• 36:12
  kind
• 36:12
  of
• 36:12
  like
• 36:13
  been
• 36:14
  messing
• 36:14
  around
• 36:14
  with
• 36:15
  different
• 36:15
  tippet
• 36:16
  ends
• 36:16
  just
• 36:16
  because
• 36:16
  that
• 36:17
  16
• 36:17
  pound
• 36:17
  got
• 36:17
  expensive.
• 36:20
  So
• 36:20
  I'm
• 36:20
  doing
• 36:21
  30
• 36:22
  pound
• 36:22
  fluoro
• 36:23
  or
• 36:23
  35
• 36:24
  pound
• 36:24
  fluoro
• 36:25
  to
• 36:27
  30
• 36:27
  or
• 36:28
  25
• 36:28
  and
• 36:29
  then
• 36:29
  to
• 36:29
  20,
• 36:30
  the
• 36:30
  really
• 36:30
  short
• 36:31
  section
• 36:31
  of
• 36:31
  20
• 36:31
  and
• 36:32
  about
• 36:32
  18
• 36:32
  inches
• 36:34
  of
• 36:34
  the
• 36:34
  other
• 36:34
  two.
• 36:35
  You
• 36:35
  can
• 36:36
  go
• 36:36
  a
• 36:36
  little
• 36:36
  bit
• 36:36
  longer
• 36:36
  on
• 36:36
  the
• 36:36
  heaviest
• 36:37
  section
• 36:38
  for
• 36:39
  ease
• 36:39
  of
• 36:39
  turning
• 36:39
  over
• 36:40
  and
• 36:41
  then
• 36:42
  maybe
• 36:43
  two
• 36:44
  feet
• 36:44
  plus
• 36:44
  a
• 36:45
  couple
• 36:45
  inches
• 36:46
  of
• 36:48
  Sunline
• 36:49
  FC
• 36:49
  leader
• 36:49
  material.
• 36:51
  And
• 36:51
  I've
• 36:51
  been
• 36:52
  using
• 36:52
  that
• 36:52
  in
• 36:53
  16
• 36:54
  and
• 36:54
  20
• 36:54
  pounds.
• 36:56
  Got
• 36:56
  it.
• 36:56
  And
• 36:57
  so
• 36:57
  why
• 36:57
  don't
• 36:57
  you
• 36:57
  walk
• 36:58
  us
• 36:58
  through
• 36:59
  how
• 36:59
  you
• 36:59
  like
• 37:00
  to
• 37:00
  fish
• 37:00
  the
• 37:00
  nut
• 37:00
  job
• 37:01
  to
• 37:01
  get
• 37:01
  the
• 37:01
  desired
• 37:02
  action.
• 37:04
  Lots
• 37:05
  of
• 37:07
  like
• 37:07
  being
• 37:07
  pulled
• 37:07
  into
• 37:08
  slack,
• 37:08
  whether
• 37:09
  that's
• 37:10
  a
• 37:10
  hard
• 37:10
  strip,
• 37:11
  uh,
• 37:12
  maybe
• 37:12
  like
• 37:13
  while
• 37:13
  you're
• 37:13
  stripping,
• 37:14
  drop
• 37:14
  your
• 37:14
  rod
• 37:15
  tip
• 37:15
  to
• 37:15
  the
• 37:16
  surface
• 37:16
  of
• 37:16
  the
• 37:16
  water.
• 37:16
  And
• 37:17
  then
• 37:17
  when
• 37:17
  you're
• 37:17
  done
• 37:17
  stripping,
• 37:18
  bring
• 37:18
  your
• 37:18
  rod
• 37:18
  tip
• 37:18
  back
• 37:19
  up
• 37:19
  a
• 37:19
  few
• 37:19
  inches
• 37:20
  to
• 37:20
  where
• 37:20
  it
• 37:20
  started.
• 37:21
  Similar
• 37:21
  to
• 37:21
  how
• 37:21
  you'd
• 37:22
  see
• 37:22
  guys
• 37:22
  like
• 37:22
  fish
• 37:22
  a
• 37:22
  jerkbait.
• 37:23
  Um,
• 37:24
  introducing
• 37:25
  slack
• 37:26
  into
• 37:27
  your
• 37:28
  strip
• 37:28
  or
• 37:28
  the,
• 37:29
  the
• 37:29
  fly
• 37:29
  movement
• 37:30
  at
• 37:30
  all
• 37:30
  is
• 37:30
  gonna
• 37:30
  allow
• 37:30
  the
• 37:31
  fly
• 37:31
  to
• 37:31
  do
• 37:32
  what
• 37:32
  is
• 37:33
  what
• 37:33
  it
• 37:33
  was
• 37:33
  designed
• 37:33
  to
• 37:34
  do.
• 37:34
  Um,
• 37:35
  and
• 37:35
  flies
• 37:36
  have
• 37:36
  limitations
• 37:36
  compared
• 37:37
  to
• 37:37
  conventional
• 37:38
  gear.
• 37:38
  So
• 37:39
  giving,
• 37:40
  giving
• 37:40
  the
• 37:40
  fly
• 37:41
  every
• 37:41
  bit
• 37:41
  of
• 37:41
  chance
• 37:42
  to
• 37:42
  succeed
• 37:43
  is
• 37:44
  all
• 37:44
  you
• 37:44
  can
• 37:44
  do.
• 37:45
  So
• 37:47
  I
• 37:47
  like
• 37:47
  to
• 37:49
  throw
• 37:50
  like
• 37:50
  what
• 37:51
  I
• 37:51
  say
• 37:51
  are
• 37:51
  men's,
• 37:52
  but
• 37:52
  it's
• 37:52
  probably
• 37:53
  just
• 37:53
  like
• 37:53
  an
• 37:53
  upward
• 37:53
  jerk
• 37:54
  that
• 37:54
  moves
• 37:54
  the
• 37:55
  line.
• 37:56
  And
• 37:56
  then
• 37:56
  I,
• 37:56
  I
• 37:56
  might
• 37:56
  like
• 37:57
  think
• 37:57
  I
• 37:57
  like
• 37:58
  jerk
• 37:58
  upward
• 37:58
  and
• 37:59
  then
• 37:59
  mend
• 37:59
  after.
• 38:00
  But
• 38:00
  it's
• 38:00
  not
• 38:01
  like
• 38:01
  a
• 38:01
  thoughtful
• 38:01
  men,
• 38:01
  it's
• 38:02
  just
• 38:02
  kind
• 38:02
  of
• 38:02
  like
• 38:02
  moving
• 38:02
  the
• 38:02
  line.
• 38:04
  So
• 38:04
  that
• 38:05
  will
• 38:05
  give
• 38:06
  you
• 38:06
  like
• 38:06
  the
• 38:07
  ultimate
• 38:07
  amount
• 38:07
  of
• 38:07
  slack
• 38:08
  obviously,
• 38:08
  cause
• 38:08
  you're
• 38:08
  mending
• 38:09
  it.
• 38:09
  So
• 38:10
  using
• 38:11
  the
• 38:11
  Rod
• 38:11
  tip.
• 38:13
  And
• 38:13
  just
• 38:13
  like,
• 38:14
  I
• 38:14
  would
• 38:14
  recommend
• 38:14
  just
• 38:14
  getting
• 38:15
  creative
• 38:15
  because
• 38:16
  I
• 38:16
  see
• 38:16
  people
• 38:16
  do
• 38:17
  similar
• 38:17
  things
• 38:17
  that
• 38:18
  have
• 38:18
  never
• 38:18
  fished
• 38:18
  with
• 38:19
  each
• 38:19
  other,
• 38:19
  but
• 38:19
  they're
• 38:20
  all
• 38:20
  doing
• 38:20
  the
• 38:20
  same
• 38:20
  thing
• 38:21
  to
• 38:21
  give
• 38:21
  that
• 38:21
  fly
• 38:22
  just
• 38:22
  a
• 38:22
  ton
• 38:22
  of
• 38:22
  slack
• 38:23
  and
• 38:23
  like
• 38:24
  a
• 38:24
  hard
• 38:24
  movement.
• 38:26
  Maybe
• 38:26
  like
• 38:28
  twice
• 38:28
  the
• 38:28
  length
• 38:29
  of
• 38:29
  the
• 38:29
  fly
• 38:29
  max.
• 38:30
  So
• 38:31
  you're
• 38:31
  talking
• 38:31
  like
• 38:31
  12
• 38:31
  inches
• 38:32
  max
• 38:33
  as
• 38:33
  opposed
• 38:33
  to
• 38:33
  like
• 38:33
  3ft.
• 38:34
  See,
• 38:34
  some
• 38:34
  guys
• 38:35
  moving
• 38:35
  flies
• 38:35
  way
• 38:35
  too
• 38:35
  far.
• 38:36
  You
• 38:37
  really
• 38:37
  want
• 38:37
  to,
• 38:37
  like,
• 38:38
  maximize
• 38:40
  that
• 38:40
  fly's
• 38:41
  movement,
• 38:42
  whether
• 38:42
  it's
• 38:43
  gliding
• 38:44
  like
• 38:44
  side
• 38:44
  to
• 38:44
  side
• 38:45
  or
• 38:46
  jigging
• 38:46
  up
• 38:46
  and
• 38:47
  down.
• 38:47
  Like,
• 38:47
  you
• 38:47
  want
• 38:47
  to
• 38:47
  be
• 38:47
  doing
• 38:48
  that
• 38:48
  in
• 38:48
  a
• 38:48
  confined
• 38:49
  area
• 38:49
  where
• 38:49
  you
• 38:49
  think
• 38:50
  the
• 38:50
  fish
• 38:50
  are.
• 38:50
  Right.
• 38:50
  Like,
• 38:51
  we're
• 38:51
  not
• 38:51
  just
• 38:51
  like,
• 38:51
  going
• 38:52
  out
• 38:52
  and
• 38:52
  like,
• 38:52
  ripping
• 38:53
  spinner
• 38:53
  baits.
• 38:54
  So,
• 38:56
  yeah,
• 38:56
  giving.
• 38:56
  Giving
• 38:57
  that
• 38:57
  fly
• 38:57
  the.
• 38:58
  The
• 38:58
  most
• 38:59
  slack
• 38:59
  you
• 38:59
  can
• 39:00
  in
• 39:00
  any
• 39:01
  way
• 39:01
  you
• 39:01
  can
• 39:02
  will
• 39:02
  work
• 39:03
  as
• 39:03
  long
• 39:03
  as
• 39:03
  you
• 39:03
  can
• 39:03
  still
• 39:04
  set
• 39:04
  the
• 39:04
  hook
• 39:04
  afterwards.
• 39:06
  Um,
• 39:06
  so
• 39:06
  I
• 39:06
  would
• 39:06
  recommend,
• 39:07
  like,
• 39:08
  downward
• 39:08
  jerks
• 39:09
  while
• 39:09
  you're
• 39:10
  stripping.
• 39:10
  Maybe
• 39:11
  jerk
• 39:11
  to
• 39:11
  the
• 39:12
  side,
• 39:12
  throw
• 39:12
  a
• 39:12
  little
• 39:12
  men
• 39:13
  the
• 39:13
  opposite
• 39:13
  direction,
• 39:14
  jerk
• 39:14
  straight
• 39:14
  up,
• 39:14
  mend
• 39:15
  upstream,
• 39:15
  jerk
• 39:16
  straight
• 39:16
  up,
• 39:16
  men
• 39:16
  downstream.
• 39:17
  Like,
• 39:17
  just
• 39:17
  get
• 39:17
  creative.
• 39:18
  And
• 39:18
  you
• 39:19
  don't
• 39:19
  have
• 39:19
  to
• 39:19
  just
• 39:19
  strip
• 39:19
  the
• 39:19
  fly
• 39:20
  back
• 39:20
  to
• 39:20
  the
• 39:20
  boat.
• 39:21
  That
• 39:21
  gets
• 39:21
  old
• 39:21
  after
• 39:21
  a
• 39:22
  while
• 39:22
  anyway.
• 39:22
  Yeah.
• 39:23
  So
• 39:23
  what
• 39:23
  we're
• 39:23
  really
• 39:23
  talking
• 39:24
  about
• 39:24
  is
• 39:24
  however
• 39:25
  you
• 39:25
  want
• 39:25
  to
• 39:25
  do
• 39:25
  it.
• 39:26
  Captain's
• 39:27
  choice.
• 39:27
  It's
• 39:27
  basically
• 39:28
  strip
• 39:28
  install.
• 39:29
  Right?
• 39:32
  I
• 39:32
  would
• 39:32
  say
• 39:32
  move
• 39:33
  install.
• 39:33
  Yeah.
• 39:34
  Intro,
• 39:35
  move
• 39:35
  it,
• 39:35
  introduce
• 39:36
  slack,
• 39:36
  and
• 39:37
  let
• 39:37
  it
• 39:37
  do
• 39:37
  its
• 39:37
  thing.
• 39:38
  Got
• 39:39
  it.
• 39:40
  Awesome.
• 39:40
  Well,
• 39:41
  and
• 39:41
  I
• 39:41
  also
• 39:41
  know
• 39:42
  that,
• 39:42
  you
• 39:42
  know,
• 39:42
  you
• 39:43
  can
• 39:43
  catch
• 39:43
  stuff,
• 39:44
  you
• 39:44
  know,
• 39:44
  other
• 39:44
  than
• 39:44
  trout
• 39:45
  and
• 39:45
  smallmouth
• 39:46
  on
• 39:46
  the
• 39:47
  nut
• 39:47
  job,
• 39:47
  if
• 39:48
  folks
• 39:48
  want
• 39:48
  to
• 39:48
  go
• 39:48
  chase
• 39:49
  other
• 39:49
  species
• 39:50
  kind
• 39:50
  of.
• 39:50
  What
• 39:50
  are
• 39:50
  some
• 39:50
  adjustments
• 39:51
  they
• 39:51
  may
• 39:51
  need
• 39:51
  to
• 39:52
  make
• 39:52
  to
• 39:52
  the
• 39:52
  platform?
• 39:55
  So
• 39:55
  when
• 39:55
  it
• 39:55
  comes
• 39:55
  to,
• 39:56
  like,
• 39:56
  other
• 39:57
  species
• 39:57
  that
• 39:57
  I've
• 39:58
  tied
• 39:58
  for,
• 39:59
  it's
• 39:59
  pretty
• 39:59
  much
• 39:59
  only
• 40:01
  musky
• 40:02
  and
• 40:02
  stripers
• 40:02
  at
• 40:02
  this
• 40:02
  point.
• 40:04
  So
• 40:04
  for
• 40:04
  the,
• 40:04
  the
• 40:05
  musky
• 40:05
  version,
• 40:06
  I
• 40:07
  think
• 40:07
  I
• 40:07
  mentioned
• 40:07
  I
• 40:07
  was
• 40:07
  using
• 40:08
  translucent
• 40:08
  fiber
• 40:09
  to
• 40:10
  kind
• 40:10
  of
• 40:10
  like
• 40:11
  just
• 40:11
  be
• 40:11
  a.
• 40:11
  A
• 40:12
  taller
• 40:12
  base
• 40:14
  to
• 40:14
  that
• 40:14
  fly.
• 40:15
  And
• 40:16
  I
• 40:16
  was
• 40:16
  doing
• 40:16
  shank
• 40:17
  hook,
• 40:17
  shank
• 40:18
  hook.
• 40:18
  So
• 40:18
  using
• 40:18
  a.
• 40:19
  A
• 40:19
  shorter
• 40:19
  shank
• 40:19
  hook
• 40:20
  in
• 40:20
  the
• 40:20
  back,
• 40:22
  it
• 40:22
  was
• 40:22
  like
• 40:22
  a
• 40:24
  four
• 40:24
  ought
• 40:25
  short
• 40:25
  shank.
• 40:27
  And
• 40:27
  then
• 40:29
  one
• 40:29
  of
• 40:30
  the.
• 40:31
  The
• 40:31
  big
• 40:31
  game
• 40:31
  shanks.
• 40:32
  I
• 40:32
  think
• 40:32
  it
• 40:32
  was
• 40:32
  like
• 40:33
  35
• 40:34
  millimeters
• 40:35
  in
• 40:35
  the
• 40:35
  middle
• 40:36
  and
• 40:37
  a
• 40:37
  five
• 40:37
  out
• 40:38
  up
• 40:38
  front.
• 40:38
  So
• 40:38
  the
• 40:39
  total
• 40:39
  length
• 40:39
  with
• 40:39
  like
• 40:39
  a
• 40:40
  two
• 40:40
  and
• 40:40
  a
• 40:40
  half
• 40:40
  inch
• 40:40
  marabou
• 40:41
  tail
• 40:41
  is
• 40:42
  only
• 40:42
  like
• 40:42
  eight
• 40:42
  inches.
• 40:43
  Maybe
• 40:43
  like
• 40:43
  eight
• 40:43
  and
• 40:43
  a
• 40:44
  quarter.
• 40:45
  But
• 40:46
  tie
• 40:47
  that
• 40:47
  in
• 40:47
  like
• 40:48
  black
• 40:48
  or
• 40:48
  like
• 40:49
  a
• 40:49
  suckery
• 40:50
  color.
• 40:50
  Like,
• 40:50
  I've
• 40:51
  had
• 40:51
  good
• 40:51
  success
• 40:51
  with
• 40:51
  it.
• 40:52
  And
• 40:52
  then
• 40:54
  same
• 40:54
  platform,
• 40:55
  but
• 40:55
  with
• 40:55
  a
• 40:56
  American
• 40:56
  rooster
• 40:57
  knife
• 40:57
  tail.
• 41:01
  I.
• 41:01
  I've
• 41:02
  had
• 41:02
  a
• 41:02
  lot
• 41:02
  of
• 41:02
  success.
• 41:03
  Right.
• 41:03
  I'VE
• 41:04
  seen
• 41:04
  a
• 41:04
  lot
• 41:04
  of
• 41:04
  success
• 41:05
  with
• 41:05
  that
• 41:05
  while
• 41:05
  I'm
• 41:05
  rowing.
• 41:07
  But
• 41:07
  yeah,
• 41:08
  Leslie
• 41:09
  just
• 41:09
  put
• 41:09
  like
• 41:09
  a,
• 41:10
  it
• 41:10
  was
• 41:11
  very
• 41:11
  large.
• 41:11
  It
• 41:12
  was
• 41:12
  between
• 41:13
  like
• 41:13
  45
• 41:13
  and
• 41:13
  50,
• 41:14
  probably
• 41:14
  closer
• 41:15
  to
• 41:15
  50.
• 41:17
  I
• 41:18
  watched
• 41:18
  that
• 41:18
  thing
• 41:19
  devour
• 41:19
  a
• 41:19
  9
• 41:19
  inch
• 41:20
  fly
• 41:20
  and
• 41:20
  then
• 41:21
  it
• 41:21
  felt
• 41:21
  like
• 41:21
  I
• 41:21
  had
• 41:22
  to
• 41:22
  put
• 41:22
  my,
• 41:23
  my
• 41:23
  arm
• 41:23
  in
• 41:23
  up
• 41:24
  to
• 41:24
  my
• 41:24
  forearm
• 41:24
  to
• 41:24
  get
• 41:24
  it
• 41:25
  out.
• 41:25
  It
• 41:25
  looked
• 41:25
  like
• 41:25
  a
• 41:25
  woolly
• 41:26
  bugger
• 41:26
  in
• 41:26
  things
• 41:26
  mouth.
• 41:27
  But
• 41:28
  yeah,
• 41:29
  using,
• 41:29
  using
• 41:29
  bucktail
• 41:30
  to
• 41:30
  prop
• 41:30
  up
• 41:30
  the
• 41:30
  craft
• 41:31
  fur
• 41:31
  on
• 41:31
  those
• 41:31
  8
• 41:31
  and
• 41:31
  9
• 41:31
  inch
• 41:32
  versions
• 41:33
  helps
• 41:33
  a
• 41:33
  lot
• 41:33
  with
• 41:33
  profile.
• 41:34
  And
• 41:34
  you
• 41:34
  can
• 41:35
  even
• 41:35
  do
• 41:35
  like
• 41:35
  a
• 41:35
  little
• 41:36
  like
• 41:36
  maybe
• 41:37
  like
• 41:37
  a
• 41:37
  micro
• 41:37
  buford
• 41:39
  under
• 41:39
  the
• 41:39
  crafter
• 41:40
  tie
• 41:40
  ins
• 41:40
  in
• 41:40
  the
• 41:40
  front.
• 41:41
  Because
• 41:41
  once
• 41:42
  you're
• 41:42
  using
• 41:42
  the
• 41:42
  full
• 41:42
  length
• 41:43
  of
• 41:43
  the
• 41:43
  cheetah,
• 41:43
  crafter
• 41:44
  like
• 41:45
  gets
• 41:45
  a
• 41:45
  little
• 41:45
  wispy.
• 41:47
  So
• 41:48
  you're
• 41:48
  still
• 41:48
  able
• 41:48
  to
• 41:48
  utilize
• 41:49
  the
• 41:49
  butts.
• 41:50
  But
• 41:50
  adding
• 41:50
  that
• 41:51
  little
• 41:51
  bit
• 41:51
  of
• 41:51
  a
• 41:51
  buford
• 41:52
  kind
• 41:52
  of
• 41:52
  just
• 41:53
  allows
• 41:54
  that
• 41:54
  fly
• 41:54
  to
• 41:55
  stop
• 41:55
  a
• 41:55
  little
• 41:55
  bit
• 41:55
  more
• 41:55
  and
• 41:56
  start
• 41:56
  that
• 41:57
  kick
• 41:57
  early.
• 41:58
  As
• 41:59
  far
• 41:59
  as
• 41:59
  tying
• 41:59
  for
• 41:59
  stripers
• 42:00
  go,
• 42:00
  I've,
• 42:00
  I've
• 42:00
  tied
• 42:01
  some,
• 42:01
  some
• 42:01
  like
• 42:01
  peanut
• 42:02
  bunker
• 42:02
  sized
• 42:02
  ones.
• 42:04
  Tied
• 42:05
  that
• 42:06
  with
• 42:06
  a
• 42:07
  kind
• 42:07
  of
• 42:07
  like
• 42:07
  single
• 42:08
  nut
• 42:08
  job
• 42:08
  style
• 42:08
  just
• 42:09
  so
• 42:09
  you
• 42:09
  don't
• 42:09
  have
• 42:09
  two
• 42:09
  hooks
• 42:09
  in
• 42:10
  a
• 42:10
  striper's
• 42:10
  face
• 42:10
  or
• 42:11
  throat,
• 42:11
  but
• 42:12
  two
• 42:12
  shanks.
• 42:15
  Pick
• 42:15
  your
• 42:15
  shank.
• 42:16
  I
• 42:16
  would
• 42:16
  go
• 42:16
  like
• 42:18
  maybe
• 42:18
  15
• 42:18
  in
• 42:19
  the
• 42:19
  back,
• 42:19
  20
• 42:19
  in
• 42:19
  the
• 42:19
  middle.
• 42:20
  Maxima
• 42:21
  bead
• 42:21
  connection
• 42:22
  and
• 42:22
  then
• 42:25
  like
• 42:25
  an
• 42:25
  ax1o
• 42:26
  mino
• 42:27
  hook.
• 42:28
  And
• 42:30
  we
• 42:30
  need
• 42:31
  to
• 42:31
  circle
• 42:31
  back
• 42:31
  and
• 42:31
  talk
• 42:32
  about
• 42:32
  colors
• 42:32
  actually.
• 42:33
  Oh,
• 42:33
  just
• 42:34
  realized
• 42:34
  that
• 42:34
  that's
• 42:34
  okay.
• 42:35
  We,
• 42:35
  we're,
• 42:35
  we're,
• 42:35
  we're
• 42:35
  there
• 42:36
  now.
• 42:36
  How
• 42:36
  about
• 42:36
  that?
• 42:37
  Sweet.
• 42:39
  So
• 42:41
  craft
• 42:42
  fair
• 42:42
  comes
• 42:42
  in
• 42:44
  a
• 42:44
  ton
• 42:44
  of
• 42:45
  good
• 42:45
  colors
• 42:46
  and
• 42:46
  there
• 42:46
  are
• 42:47
  also
• 42:47
  a
• 42:47
  ton
• 42:47
  of
• 42:47
  duds.
• 42:49
  I
• 42:49
  don't
• 42:49
  have
• 42:49
  the
• 42:49
  list
• 42:50
  of
• 42:50
  duds
• 42:50
  off
• 42:50
  the
• 42:50
  top
• 42:51
  of
• 42:51
  my
• 42:51
  head,
• 42:51
  but
• 42:53
  allowed
• 42:54
  me
• 42:54
  to
• 42:55
  think
• 42:55
  a
• 42:55
  little
• 42:55
  bit
• 42:55
  differently
• 42:56
  than
• 42:56
  hen
• 42:56
  because
• 42:57
  hen
• 42:57
  was
• 42:57
  always
• 42:59
  limited.
• 43:00
  Like
• 43:00
  you
• 43:00
  could
• 43:01
  never
• 43:01
  go
• 43:01
  to
• 43:01
  a
• 43:01
  shop
• 43:02
  and
• 43:02
  get
• 43:02
  every
• 43:02
  color
• 43:03
  you
• 43:03
  wanted
• 43:03
  to
• 43:03
  get.
• 43:04
  And
• 43:04
  if
• 43:04
  you
• 43:05
  were
• 43:05
  lucky
• 43:05
  enough
• 43:05
  to
• 43:05
  have
• 43:05
  them
• 43:05
  all,
• 43:06
  then,
• 43:06
  you
• 43:06
  know,
• 43:06
  you
• 43:06
  can
• 43:07
  make
• 43:07
  some
• 43:07
  cool
• 43:07
  blends
• 43:07
  or
• 43:08
  whatever.
• 43:08
  But
• 43:08
  most
• 43:09
  shops
• 43:09
  will
• 43:09
  have
• 43:10
  at
• 43:10
  least
• 43:10
  like
• 43:10
  eight
• 43:10
  colors
• 43:11
  of
• 43:11
  craft
• 43:11
  fur.
• 43:12
  So
• 43:13
  I
• 43:14
  am
• 43:14
  a
• 43:14
  big
• 43:14
  fan.
• 43:15
  But
• 43:16
  let's
• 43:16
  start
• 43:17
  earlier
• 43:18
  in
• 43:18
  the
• 43:18
  season.
• 43:19
  So
• 43:19
  we
• 43:19
  got
• 43:19
  like
• 43:19
  dark
• 43:20
  green
• 43:21
  sometimes,
• 43:22
  you
• 43:22
  know,
• 43:22
  green,
• 43:22
  brown,
• 43:23
  water.
• 43:24
  I
• 43:24
  really,
• 43:25
  really
• 43:25
  like
• 43:25
  to
• 43:25
  fish
• 43:27
  olive
• 43:27
  and
• 43:27
  black
• 43:28
  and
• 43:28
  I
• 43:29
  when
• 43:29
  it's
• 43:29
  wet
• 43:30
  because
• 43:31
  the
• 43:31
  black
• 43:31
  is
• 43:31
  on
• 43:31
  top
• 43:32
  of
• 43:32
  the
• 43:32
  olive.
• 43:32
  Like
• 43:32
  you
• 43:33
  could
• 43:33
  probably
• 43:33
  just
• 43:33
  get
• 43:33
  away
• 43:33
  with
• 43:33
  fishing
• 43:34
  an
• 43:34
  all
• 43:34
  black
• 43:34
  like
• 43:35
  five
• 43:35
  inch
• 43:35
  nut
• 43:35
  job.
• 43:36
  But
• 43:37
  the
• 43:37
  key
• 43:37
  to
• 43:37
  that
• 43:38
  fly
• 43:38
  is
• 43:39
  adding
• 43:40
  a
• 43:40
  couple
• 43:40
  turns
• 43:41
  of
• 43:41
  copper
• 43:42
  polar
• 43:42
  chenille
• 43:43
  over
• 43:44
  the
• 43:44
  finesse
• 43:44
  chenille.
• 43:45
  So
• 43:46
  you're
• 43:46
  getting
• 43:46
  like
• 43:47
  circus
• 43:47
  peanut
• 43:48
  level
• 43:49
  of
• 43:49
  polar
• 43:50
  flash.
• 43:51
  But
• 43:51
  the
• 43:52
  nut
• 43:52
  job
• 43:52
  action.
• 43:54
  And
• 43:55
  my
• 43:55
  God,
• 43:56
  I
• 43:56
  think.
• 43:56
  I
• 43:56
  think
• 43:56
  that
• 43:56
  color
• 43:57
  accounted
• 43:57
  for,
• 43:58
  like,
• 43:59
  most
• 44:00
  of
• 44:00
  the
• 44:00
  big
• 44:00
  fish.
• 44:01
  And
• 44:01
  I
• 44:01
  would
• 44:01
  just.
• 44:01
  I
• 44:01
  was
• 44:01
  fishing
• 44:02
  that
• 44:02
  every
• 44:02
  day
• 44:02
  with
• 44:02
  clients
• 44:03
  for
• 44:03
  like
• 44:03
  a
• 44:03
  month.
• 44:04
  Like,
• 44:05
  if,
• 44:05
  if
• 44:05
  they
• 44:05
  mentioned,
• 44:05
  like,
• 44:06
  oh,
• 44:06
  I
• 44:06
  wonder
• 44:06
  if
• 44:06
  they'd
• 44:06
  eat
• 44:06
  yellow.
• 44:07
  Like,
• 44:07
  yeah,
• 44:07
  we'd
• 44:07
  switch
• 44:07
  to
• 44:08
  yellow
• 44:08
  and
• 44:08
  catching
• 44:08
  fish
• 44:08
  on
• 44:08
  it.
• 44:09
  But
• 44:09
  fishing
• 44:10
  that
• 44:11
  olive
• 44:11
  black
• 44:12
  fly
• 44:12
  is
• 44:13
  just,
• 44:13
  like,
• 44:14
  it's
• 44:15
  got
• 44:15
  my
• 44:15
  confidence
• 44:16
  now.
• 44:17
  Not
• 44:18
  as
• 44:18
  fun,
• 44:18
  but
• 44:19
  when
• 44:19
  I'm
• 44:19
  fishing
• 44:20
  that,
• 44:20
  like,
• 44:20
  you
• 44:20
  can't
• 44:20
  see,
• 44:21
  like
• 44:22
  I
• 44:22
  was
• 44:22
  mentioning
• 44:22
  earlier,
• 44:22
  like,
• 44:23
  when
• 44:23
  you're
• 44:23
  fishing
• 44:23
  a
• 44:23
  bright
• 44:23
  fly
• 44:24
  and
• 44:24
  you
• 44:24
  can't
• 44:24
  see
• 44:24
  it,
• 44:24
  so
• 44:24
  it's
• 44:25
  not
• 44:25
  worth
• 44:25
  it.
• 44:25
  Like,
• 44:26
  you
• 44:26
  can't
• 44:26
  see
• 44:26
  it
• 44:27
  anyway,
• 44:27
  so
• 44:27
  you
• 44:27
  might
• 44:27
  as
• 44:27
  well
• 44:28
  go
• 44:28
  dark
• 44:28
  when
• 44:29
  the
• 44:29
  fish
• 44:29
  can
• 44:29
  see
• 44:29
  it.
• 44:31
  And
• 44:31
  then
• 44:32
  when
• 44:32
  the
• 44:32
  water
• 44:32
  kind
• 44:32
  of
• 44:33
  like,
• 44:33
  gets
• 44:33
  a
• 44:33
  little
• 44:33
  bit
• 44:33
  more
• 44:34
  green,
• 44:34
  like,
• 44:35
  few
• 44:35
  feet
• 44:35
  of
• 44:35
  visibility,
• 44:37
  I'm
• 44:37
  going
• 44:37
  all
• 44:37
  yellow
• 44:38
  or
• 44:39
  yellow
• 44:40
  with
• 44:40
  orange
• 44:41
  veiling
• 44:41
  the
• 44:41
  yellow.
• 44:44
  Like
• 44:44
  to
• 44:44
  call
• 44:44
  that
• 44:44
  flame
• 44:45
  boy
• 44:45
  little
• 44:45
  like
• 44:45
  World
• 44:46
  Industries
• 44:46
  throwback.
• 44:47
  But
• 44:48
  that
• 44:49
  is
• 44:49
  a
• 44:49
  huge
• 44:49
  confidence
• 44:50
  color.
• 44:50
  And
• 44:50
  that's
• 44:50
  what
• 44:50
  Leslie
• 44:51
  caught
• 44:51
  that
• 44:51
  muskie
• 44:51
  on.
• 44:52
  There's
• 44:52
  something
• 44:52
  about
• 44:53
  the
• 44:53
  way,
• 44:53
  like,
• 44:54
  we've
• 44:54
  talked
• 44:55
  about
• 44:55
  it
• 44:55
  a
• 44:55
  bunch
• 44:55
  of
• 44:55
  times
• 44:56
  on
• 44:56
  the
• 44:56
  ROO
• 44:56
  report,
• 44:57
  but,
• 44:57
  like,
• 44:57
  the
• 44:57
  way
• 44:57
  that
• 44:58
  yellow
• 44:58
  and
• 44:58
  orange
• 44:58
  kind
• 44:58
  of
• 44:59
  like,
• 44:59
  throws
• 45:00
  out
• 45:00
  like
• 45:00
  a
• 45:00
  glow
• 45:00
  in
• 45:01
  the
• 45:01
  water.
• 45:01
  It's
• 45:01
  like
• 45:03
  luminescent
• 45:03
  or
• 45:04
  something.
• 45:04
  But,
• 45:05
  yeah,
• 45:05
  that,
• 45:05
  that's
• 45:06
  a
• 45:06
  favorite
• 45:06
  to
• 45:06
  fish
• 45:08
  as
• 45:08
  things
• 45:08
  get
• 45:09
  more
• 45:09
  clear.
• 45:10
  Going
• 45:10
  with
• 45:11
  your
• 45:11
  more
• 45:11
  like
• 45:13
  pan
• 45:14
  over
• 45:14
  cream
• 45:15
  or
• 45:15
  tan
• 45:16
  over
• 45:16
  white,
• 45:16
  olive
• 45:17
  over
• 45:17
  white.
• 45:17
  You
• 45:17
  can,
• 45:18
  you
• 45:18
  can
• 45:18
  mess
• 45:18
  around
• 45:18
  a
• 45:19
  ton
• 45:19
  with
• 45:19
  more,
• 45:20
  like,
• 45:20
  the
• 45:20
  natural
• 45:21
  colors.
• 45:22
  I
• 45:22
  don't
• 45:22
  think
• 45:22
  there's
• 45:22
  a
• 45:23
  bad
• 45:23
  combination
• 45:23
  of
• 45:24
  any
• 45:24
  of
• 45:24
  the
• 45:25
  following.
• 45:25
  Could
• 45:26
  be
• 45:26
  like,
• 45:26
  white,
• 45:27
  cream,
• 45:27
  tan,
• 45:29
  medium
• 45:29
  olive,
• 45:31
  dark
• 45:32
  olive,
• 45:34
  camel,
• 45:35
  like
• 45:36
  camel.
• 45:36
  You
• 45:36
  know,
• 45:37
  kind
• 45:37
  of
• 45:37
  like
• 45:37
  the
• 45:37
  ginger
• 45:37
  of
• 45:38
  the
• 45:38
  craft
• 45:38
  fur.
• 45:38
  But
• 45:40
  yeah,
• 45:40
  there's.
• 45:40
  There's
• 45:40
  just
• 45:41
  so
• 45:41
  much,
• 45:42
  so
• 45:42
  many
• 45:42
  possibilities
• 45:43
  with
• 45:43
  craft
• 45:44
  fur.
• 45:44
  I
• 45:44
  don't
• 45:44
  think
• 45:44
  I've
• 45:45
  scratched
• 45:45
  the
• 45:45
  surface
• 45:46
  of
• 45:46
  what's
• 45:46
  possible,
• 45:46
  but
• 45:47
  I
• 45:48
  definitely
• 45:48
  have
• 45:49
  more
• 45:49
  than
• 45:49
  enough
• 45:49
  to
• 45:51
  cover
• 45:51
  all
• 45:51
  the,
• 45:51
  you
• 45:51
  know,
• 45:52
  the
• 45:52
  ranges
• 45:52
  that,
• 45:53
  that
• 45:53
  I
• 45:53
  need.
• 45:54
  Very,
• 45:55
  very
• 45:55
  cool.
• 45:55
  And
• 45:55
  before
• 45:55
  I
• 45:56
  let
• 45:56
  you
• 45:56
  go
• 45:56
  this
• 45:56
  evening,
• 45:57
  you
• 45:57
  know,
• 45:57
  anything
• 45:57
  on
• 45:57
  the
• 45:58
  fly
• 45:58
  tying
• 45:58
  or
• 45:58
  the
• 45:58
  fly
• 45:59
  fishing
• 45:59
  front
• 45:59
  you
• 45:59
  want
• 45:59
  to
• 45:59
  share
• 46:00
  with
• 46:00
  folks?
• 46:02
  So
• 46:03
  I'm
• 46:03
  off
• 46:03
  the
• 46:03
  water
• 46:04
  a
• 46:04
  little
• 46:04
  bit
• 46:04
  more
• 46:04
  these
• 46:04
  days,
• 46:05
  but
• 46:06
  I
• 46:06
  will
• 46:06
  be
• 46:07
  at
• 46:07
  Bob
• 46:08
  in
• 46:08
  the
• 46:08
  Hood
• 46:08
  at
• 46:08
  Schultz
• 46:08
  Outfitters
• 46:09
  the
• 46:09
  end
• 46:09
  of
• 46:10
  January,
• 46:10
  I
• 46:10
  think
• 46:11
  into
• 46:11
  the
• 46:11
  first
• 46:12
  day
• 46:12
  of
• 46:12
  February,
• 46:13
  and
• 46:14
  I'm
• 46:14
  really
• 46:14
  looking
• 46:14
  forward
• 46:14
  to
• 46:14
  that.
• 46:15
  I'll
• 46:15
  be
• 46:15
  teaching
• 46:15
  a
• 46:16
  class
• 46:16
  for
• 46:17
  the
• 46:17
  first
• 46:17
  time
• 46:17
  there
• 46:17
  this
• 46:17
  year,
• 46:18
  and
• 46:19
  it
• 46:19
  is
• 46:19
  sold
• 46:19
  out,
• 46:20
  which
• 46:20
  I
• 46:20
  really
• 46:20
  appreciate.
• 46:22
  Be
• 46:22
  tying
• 46:24
  the
• 46:24
  single
• 46:24
  nut
• 46:24
  job
• 46:24
  and
• 46:25
  the
• 46:25
  nut
• 46:25
  job
• 46:26
  And
• 46:27
  I
• 46:27
  really
• 46:27
  hope
• 46:28
  that
• 46:28
  I
• 46:29
  can
• 46:29
  find
• 46:29
  the
• 46:29
  time
• 46:30
  to
• 46:30
  resurrect
• 46:30
  Logjam
• 46:32
  from
• 46:32
  its
• 46:33
  nap,
• 46:34
  but
• 46:35
  that's
• 46:35
  a
• 46:35
  ton
• 46:35
  of
• 46:35
  fun.
• 46:36
  That's
• 46:36
  Tuesdays,
• 46:37
  8.35ish.
• 46:38
  I
• 46:38
  think
• 46:38
  it
• 46:39
  might
• 46:39
  be
• 46:39
  the
• 46:39
  exact.
• 46:39
  The
• 46:40
  exact
• 46:40
  time
• 46:40
  right
• 46:40
  now.
• 46:43
  But
• 46:43
  yeah,
• 46:44
  I
• 46:44
  also
• 46:46
  may
• 46:46
  be
• 46:46
  able
• 46:46
  to
• 46:46
  take
• 46:47
  you
• 46:47
  out
• 46:47
  in
• 46:47
  the
• 46:47
  spring.
• 46:47
  I'm
• 46:48
  looking
• 46:48
  pretty
• 46:48
  full
• 46:48
  right
• 46:49
  now
• 46:49
  as
• 46:49
  far
• 46:50
  as
• 46:50
  what
• 46:50
  I'm
• 46:51
  able
• 46:51
  to
• 46:51
  guide.
• 46:53
  But
• 46:53
  yeah,
• 46:54
  if
• 46:54
  we
• 46:54
  could.
• 46:54
  If
• 46:54
  we
• 46:54
  can
• 46:54
  make
• 46:55
  it
• 46:55
  happen,
• 46:55
  I
• 46:55
  would
• 46:55
  love
• 46:55
  that
• 46:56
  and
• 46:56
  would
• 46:56
  love
• 46:57
  to
• 46:57
  introduce
• 46:58
  more
• 46:58
  people
• 46:58
  to
• 47:00
  the
• 47:00
  bite
• 47:00
  that
• 47:01
  is
• 47:01
  giant
• 47:02
  smallmouth
• 47:02
  in
• 47:03
  the
• 47:03
  spring.
• 47:03
  There's
• 47:03
  really
• 47:04
  nothing
• 47:04
  like
• 47:05
  it
• 47:05
  on
• 47:05
  the.
• 47:05
  On
• 47:05
  the
• 47:05
  East
• 47:06
  Coast.
• 47:06
  Yeah.
• 47:07
  And
• 47:07
  so
• 47:07
  why
• 47:07
  don't
• 47:07
  you
• 47:07
  let
• 47:08
  folks
• 47:08
  know
• 47:08
  where
• 47:08
  to
• 47:08
  find
• 47:09
  you
• 47:09
  on
• 47:09
  social
• 47:09
  media
• 47:09
  and
• 47:10
  on
• 47:10
  the
• 47:10
  web?
• 47:12
  You
• 47:12
  can
• 47:12
  find
• 47:13
  me@rushangling.com.
• 47:14
  that's
• 47:15
  right.
• 47:15
  It's
• 47:15
  official.
• 47:17
  Rouge
• 47:17
  Angling
• 47:17
  on
• 47:18
  Facebook,
• 47:19
  Brendan
• 47:19
  Roush
• 47:19
  on
• 47:20
  instagram,
• 47:23
  and
• 47:25
  yeah,
• 47:25
  rouge
• 47:25
  anglingmail.com.
• 47:27
  Well,
• 47:27
  there
• 47:28
  you
• 47:28
  go.
• 47:28
  And
• 47:28
  I
• 47:28
  think
• 47:28
  there's
• 47:29
  still
• 47:29
  some
• 47:29
  general
• 47:30
  admission
• 47:30
  tickets
• 47:30
  left
• 47:31
  for
• 47:31
  Bob.
• 47:31
  And
• 47:31
  don't
• 47:32
  quote
• 47:32
  me
• 47:32
  on
• 47:32
  that,
• 47:32
  but,
• 47:33
  you
• 47:33
  know,
• 47:34
  if
• 47:34
  you're
• 47:34
  into
• 47:34
  this
• 47:35
  predator
• 47:35
  fly
• 47:35
  game,
• 47:35
  you
• 47:36
  owe
• 47:36
  it
• 47:36
  to
• 47:36
  yourself
• 47:36
  to
• 47:36
  grab
• 47:37
  a
• 47:37
  ticket
• 47:38
  and.
• 47:38
  And
• 47:38
  head
• 47:39
  up
• 47:39
  there.
• 47:39
  It's
• 47:39
  a
• 47:39
  great
• 47:40
  week.
• 47:40
  And
• 47:40
  the
• 47:40
  general
• 47:40
  admission
• 47:41
  tickets
• 47:41
  get
• 47:41
  you
• 47:41
  into
• 47:41
  the
• 47:41
  Friday
• 47:42
  night
• 47:42
  party
• 47:43
  all
• 47:43
  day
• 47:43
  Saturday,
• 47:44
  you
• 47:44
  know,
• 47:44
  over
• 47:44
  the
• 47:45
  freight
• 47:45
  house,
• 47:45
  sit
• 47:45
  down,
• 47:45
  talk
• 47:46
  to
• 47:46
  the
• 47:46
  tires,
• 47:47
  and
• 47:47
  then
• 47:47
  you
• 47:47
  can
• 47:47
  see,
• 47:48
  you
• 47:48
  know,
• 47:48
  Brendan
• 47:48
  and
• 47:49
  other
• 47:49
  folks
• 47:50
  so
• 47:50
  you
• 47:50
  can
• 47:50
  sign
• 47:51
  up
• 47:51
  for
• 47:51
  the
• 47:51
  classes
• 47:51
  if
• 47:52
  there's
• 47:52
  spaces
• 47:52
  available
• 47:53
  and
• 47:54
  learn
• 47:54
  from
• 47:54
  the
• 47:54
  best.
• 47:55
  So,
• 47:55
  Brendan,
• 47:56
  I
• 47:56
  appreciate
• 47:56
  you
• 47:57
  squeezing
• 47:58
  me
• 47:58
  in
• 47:58
  after
• 47:59
  your
• 47:59
  burrito
• 47:59
  bowl
• 47:59
  this
• 48:00
  evening
• 48:00
  to
• 48:00
  talk
• 48:00
  about
• 48:00
  the
• 48:00
  nut
• 48:01
  job.
• 48:02
  Yeah,
• 48:03
  man,
• 48:03
  I
• 48:03
  appreciate
• 48:04
  you
• 48:04
  having
• 48:04
  me
• 48:04
  on.
• 48:05
  It's
• 48:05
  been
• 48:05
  a
• 48:06
  pleasure.
• 48:06
  Yeah,
• 48:06
  absolutely.
• 48:07
  It's
• 48:07
  always
• 48:07
  fun.
• 48:08
  And,
• 48:08
  folks,
• 48:08
  we'll
• 48:09
  have
• 48:09
  Brendan
• 48:09
  back
• 48:10
  in
• 48:10
  the
• 48:11

• 48:11
  when
• 48:11
  he's
• 48:11
  back
• 48:11
  on
• 48:12
  the
• 48:12
  water,
• 48:12
  and
• 48:13
  we'll

  Brendan,
• 48:17
  I
• 48:17
  appreciate
• 48:18
  it.

• 48:20
  you
• 48:21
  soon.
• 48:22
  Yeah,
• 48:22
  man,
• 48:22
  I'll

• 48:25
  Well,
• 48:25
  folks,
• 48:25
  we

• 48:27
  as
• 48:27
  much
• 48:27
  as
