- 0:09Speaker 1: What if I told you that diabetes isn't really a
- 0:12Speaker 1: blood sugar disease, and that much of what we've been
- 0:15Speaker 1: taught about how to manage it may actually be making
- 0:17Speaker 1: it worse. Today's guest is going to unpack what he
- 0:21Speaker 1: believes metabolic disease really is, and why it has exploded
- 0:24Speaker 1: over the last seventy years, and most importantly, what people
- 0:28Speaker 1: can do to reverse it. Hello everybody, and welcome back
- 0:39Speaker 1: to Life TV Now, where we unpack all matters of truth,
- 0:43Speaker 1: faith and freedom. Today's program is set to be absolutely dynamic,
- 0:47Speaker 1: but before we dive in, let me introduce who's here.
- 0:49Speaker 1: She's an integrative nutrition health coach with a Master of
- 0:52Speaker 1: Science and health education. Please welcome my co host, Jamie Woodle,
- 1:02Speaker 1: and he's a doctor of Pharmacy with over thirty five
- 1:05Speaker 1: years of experience who completed a pediatric residency at the
- 1:08Speaker 1: Medical University of South Carolina. He has spent twenty nine
- 1:12Speaker 1: years as a clinical pharmacist and the author of the
- 1:15Speaker 1: best selling book Your Plate Is Your Fate. He now
- 1:18Speaker 1: promotes disease prevention and reversal and is dedicated to helping
- 1:22Speaker 1: others embrace true health through nutrition education. Please welcome doctor
- 1:28Speaker 1: Steve Hewlett. Doctor Steve has written a book that I
- 1:36Speaker 1: want you to make sure that you check out and
- 1:38Speaker 1: we'll bring this up on the screen for you. Your Plate
- 1:41Speaker 1: is Your Fate, a simple guide to understanding how your
- 1:44Speaker 1: food choices lead to more and more medications, Doctor Steve,
- 1:49Speaker 1: is that not the truth what we're seeing in Western civilization,
- 1:53Speaker 1: in particular with this new gimmick to lose weight to
- 1:57Speaker 1: manage their metabolic disease. Doctors across the nation are pitching
- 2:02Speaker 1: products that interfere with digestion that want to increase insulin resistance.
- 2:08Speaker 1: We're talking about GLP one glucagon like protein one. Now
- 2:13Speaker 1: you probably have not heard it packaged that way because
- 2:15Speaker 1: that's a very scientific and kind of boring title. But
- 2:19Speaker 1: these popular medications to which we're not going to bring
- 2:22Speaker 1: up on the screen or make notes specifically of or
- 2:25Speaker 1: identify by name. To me, it's one of the most
- 2:28Speaker 1: dangerous wagers that people are making in terms of weight loss.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It's one of the most dangerous wagers that I see
- 2:35Speaker 1: perhaps playing into the dismantling of the pancreas, and so
- 2:40Speaker 1: that we're not just being esoteric and kind of losing
- 2:42Speaker 1: people in the weeds here. Before we dive into that,
- 2:45Speaker 1: briefly tell people how you became such an advocate for
- 2:48Speaker 1: natural health, and then let's get into metabolic disease. You know,
- 2:51Speaker 1: most people think of things like diabetes as hereditary, or
- 2:55Speaker 1: that's what they're told. But this has a lot more
- 2:58Speaker 1: to do with the dinner plate does without these and
- 3:01Speaker 1: these and these get thin quick medications that I fear
- 3:04Speaker 1: were probably less than a decade away from uh seeing
- 3:07Speaker 1: a lot of commercial types. If you are a loved one,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I've been damaged by X number.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Of rigulary medications.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Uh, you made me entitled to large compensation, you know,
- 3:15Speaker 1: like with hernia meshes and a bunch of these other uh,
- 3:18Speaker 1: just just dangerous games of roulette. How did you get started?
- 3:22Speaker 3: It started because I went to school for twelve years
- 3:25Speaker 3: and then I started working.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I did my pediatric regidcy.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Then I started working at the hospital and I worked
- 3:31Speaker 3: there next twenty nine years. Pediatrics my specialty. So that's
- 3:33Speaker 3: what I went to school for. That's why I did
- 3:36Speaker 3: the first half of the time that I worked at
- 3:38Speaker 3: the hospital, and then the last half I went to.
- 3:40Speaker 2: The second shift.
- 3:41Speaker 3: I worked a supervisor shift, and when I was a pediatriss.
- 3:45Speaker 3: They were once a year we would have an annual
- 3:47Speaker 3: pediatric seminar and they would come in and they.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Would we talk to all the medical professionals in.
- 3:51Speaker 3: The area about certain things. And I had talked to
- 3:53Speaker 3: like about four of those back when I was in pedes.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Once I became a supervisor, I never talked again until
- 3:57Speaker 3: about three years ago and they called me and they
- 3:59Speaker 3: asked me if I talk again, and I told him yes,
- 4:02Speaker 3: you know what toll me the topic and they said
- 4:04Speaker 3: childhood obesity And I thought, okay, doune to that. So
- 4:07Speaker 3: I went through to put this whole Sally presentation together
- 4:10Speaker 3: about you know.
- 4:10Speaker 2: How how you have you want to lose weight?
- 4:12Speaker 3: You got to eat less calories, exercise more, and talked
- 4:15Speaker 3: about the food pyramid and all that. I thought, just
- 4:17Speaker 3: for the heck of it, I'm going to go back
- 4:18Speaker 3: and go to the literare see if there's anything out there.
- 4:21Speaker 3: And once I went to the nutritional literature and found
- 4:23Speaker 3: out there is so much information that we were never
- 4:26Speaker 3: taught in school, never, and it's all about how to prevent,
- 4:29Speaker 3: how to reverse, how to stop disease states and we're
- 4:32Speaker 3: not taught that we're taught how to treat symptoms of diseases.
- 4:36Speaker 3: And so I went ahead and I totally redid my talk,
- 4:39Speaker 3: gave the talk. Afterwards, a bunch of the medical professionals
- 4:42Speaker 3: came out and they said, we have never heard this
- 4:43Speaker 3: stuff before.
- 4:43Speaker 2: This is great. Can you write a book?
- 4:46Speaker 3: So my wife took my talk and we got it transcribed.
- 4:49Speaker 3: And so now that's kind of my passion is now
- 4:52Speaker 3: I want to let everybody else know what was hidden
- 4:54Speaker 3: from me. And this is not about your physician by
- 4:56Speaker 3: any means. Don't think this because they were not taught
- 4:58Speaker 3: this anyway.
- 5:00Speaker 2: They work. You said, if I need.
- 5:01Speaker 3: To get more people than I needed, to start a podcast,
- 5:03Speaker 3: or we start a podcast, and then we have some
- 5:05Speaker 3: digital programs and now we're just trying to get the
- 5:07Speaker 3: word out as many people as possible.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Well, I had the benefit of meeting you last October
- 5:10Speaker 1: at the Secrets in Healthcare conference along with John Richardson
- 5:14Speaker 1: of the RNC and doctor Brian Artists and so many
- 5:17Speaker 1: other speakers and contributors. I want to hit the ground
- 5:20Speaker 1: running because these episodes fly by very quickly. G lp Ones.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many Facebook reveals I've seen,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you know, housewives and mothers and men, and they're you know,
- 5:32Speaker 1: they're talking about their GLP one journey and they're you know,
- 5:35Speaker 1: they're kind of chronologically organizing with pictures of themselves their
- 5:39Speaker 1: weight loss and all of this. But a lot of
- 5:41Speaker 1: people are not talking about the potential long term side
- 5:44Speaker 1: effects of what we honestly should be treating through diet, lifestyle,
- 5:49Speaker 1: you know, exercise, movement, the dinner plate. They are everywhere
- 5:55Speaker 1: right now that the GLP ones, the talk, the scuttle
- 5:57Speaker 1: about social media. Look at me, I lost forty pounds.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Can you explain to the person that's still like, Okay,
- 6:02Speaker 1: stop saying the word GLP one unless you're going to
- 6:04Speaker 1: explain it to me what it is and why you
- 6:07Speaker 1: think people are taking them for like blood sugar, air
- 6:09Speaker 1: quote management, type two diabetes, weight loss.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Okay, I kind of need to do a base for
- 6:14Speaker 3: just real quick base so you just kind of understand
- 6:17Speaker 3: what is happening when our body goes the foundation. Yeah,
- 6:20Speaker 3: because when we eat food, our mouth and our stomach
- 6:23Speaker 3: sees the food, but it chops it up. Our blood
- 6:25Speaker 3: doesn't see the food that we're eating. All it sees
- 6:28Speaker 3: is the molecules that it gets broken down to. So
- 6:30Speaker 3: anytime you eat protein, that gets broken down to amino acids,
- 6:33Speaker 3: so that's what our body sees as amino acids. When
- 6:36Speaker 3: you eat fat gets broken down fatty acids, so that's
- 6:38Speaker 3: all you see is fatty acids. And when you eat carbohydrates,
- 6:41Speaker 3: all you see is glucose. And all carbohydrates have a
- 6:44Speaker 3: basic building block of glucose, and carbohydrates just means plant
- 6:48Speaker 3: based foods. Anything comes from plant based foods, they contain carbohydrates,
- 6:52Speaker 3: so they contain glucose, some more than others.
- 6:54Speaker 2: But our body doesn't like glucose.
- 6:56Speaker 3: So what happens is we eat this, our intestines started
- 6:58Speaker 3: into the fatty acids, acids and the glucose, and then
- 7:02Speaker 3: that gets absorbed into our body. The problem is our
- 7:05Speaker 3: body doesn't want glucose. So as soon as our body
- 7:08Speaker 3: senses that we've got that in our body, are intestines released.
- 7:12Speaker 3: This gop one hormone okay, it's a naturally current hormone.
- 7:15Speaker 1: It released.
- 7:16Speaker 2: It does two different things three but two main ones.
- 7:19Speaker 3: It basically paralyzes the stomach because it wants to keep
- 7:23Speaker 3: the glucose in there as long as possible, because it
- 7:24Speaker 3: don't want to high glucose, so it paralyzed the stomach
- 7:27Speaker 3: for just the short term and slowly lets the acid
- 7:30Speaker 3: and the stomach take care of that and slowly trickles
- 7:32Speaker 3: in because the slower the glucose gets into your blood,
- 7:35Speaker 3: then the lower your insulin levels. And this is all
- 7:37Speaker 3: about insulin. Insline gets secreted because the glucose in the blood.
- 7:41Speaker 3: So that's what our natural hormone, gop does. One, it
- 7:45Speaker 3: keeps in the food, lets it trickle out, but then
- 7:47Speaker 3: it also it gets your body producing insulin because once
- 7:50Speaker 3: the blood the glucose gets in your blood, insulin is
- 7:53Speaker 3: what gets it out of the blood.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:54Speaker 3: It doesn't make it just disappear. What it does is
- 7:57Speaker 3: the main thing it does is it tells the liver
- 7:59Speaker 3: to turn all that glucose into triglyrides. So if you're
- 8:02Speaker 3: having trouble high triglyphs rids, it's because you're eating too
- 8:04Speaker 3: much glucose, which means you eating too much carbohydrates.
- 8:07Speaker 2: So your body gop one.
- 8:09Speaker 3: It stimulates the pinkerts to produce more insulin, and it
- 8:13Speaker 3: paralyzed the stomach. Both things are there because it once
- 8:16Speaker 3: get the glucose out of the blood, but your natural
- 8:18Speaker 3: only lasts like two hours, so after a meal, after
- 8:22Speaker 3: it's all out of the stomach, then you have another
- 8:24Speaker 3: hormone in your body called DPP four, And what that
- 8:27Speaker 3: does is it blocks gop one and that allows your
- 8:30Speaker 3: instant levels come back down and allows your stomach start
- 8:33Speaker 3: working again.
- 8:34Speaker 2: That's how our body's supposed to work.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You guys following soulf is it does?
- 8:37Speaker 2: That make sense?
- 8:38Speaker 1: That's the natural organic rod native process you swallow food.
- 8:43Speaker 1: But now scientists have showed up with a much better
- 8:46Speaker 1: way of doing things according to their prognosis, correct according
- 8:52Speaker 1: to how much I'm being facetious. It's another one of
- 8:56Speaker 1: those areas where men have figured out, hey, if we
- 8:58Speaker 1: hack the body, we can produce this end result. But
- 9:01Speaker 1: we're kind of the experiment, aren't we.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, we don't.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Really know yet. There's no post mortem of a decade
- 9:07Speaker 1: to look back yet, right, and.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Our body We do not know our bodies at all.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I mean, all these scientists and doctors and all these
- 9:14Speaker 3: studies that we do, all we're trying to figure out
- 9:16Speaker 3: is what did God do here?
- 9:18Speaker 2: And it's really really bad because.
- 9:21Speaker 3: What we found is you fix one little thing and
- 9:24Speaker 3: it messes everything up because our whole body, our inner body,
- 9:28Speaker 3: is talking to each other constantly. All ourselves talk to
- 9:30Speaker 3: each other, just like we talk with nature, We talk
- 9:32Speaker 3: to each.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Other, talk with the air. We are all in communication.
- 9:36Speaker 3: We are all built as energy together, and that's all
- 9:39Speaker 3: we're trying to do. And that's why when you hear
- 9:41Speaker 3: about taking medications and they talk about the adverse effects,
- 9:44Speaker 3: they make it look like some drugs may.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Have three or four adverse effects. That is that is
- 9:49Speaker 2: not true.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Every drug has thirty forty fifty these golp ones, they
- 9:53Speaker 3: have over seventy different adverse facts, and adverse effect means
- 9:56Speaker 3: a harmful effect. We made this drug to fix this
- 9:59Speaker 3: one thing, and it's harming all these other things in
- 10:02Speaker 3: the body.
- 10:03Speaker 1: But you see the evidence of weight loss, and a
- 10:05Speaker 1: lot of people that have done the yo yo dieting
- 10:08Speaker 1: thing that like Jamie Woodle often talks about, they're seeing
- 10:12Speaker 1: the results, They're doing their selfie pictures, and we're living
- 10:14Speaker 1: in such a vain, superficial society that I suspect I
- 10:19Speaker 1: kind of sympathize. But some of the people that have
- 10:21Speaker 1: really struggled with this are doing it for reasons of affirmation. Yes,
- 10:25Speaker 1: they want to be handsomer, they want to be pretty.
- 10:28Speaker 1: And it's because society has made everyone feel like they're
- 10:31Speaker 1: not valuable if they don't have so many subscribers or
- 10:33Speaker 1: so many followers. I don't want to derail. But so
- 10:37Speaker 1: you've explained the way God designed bodies to it. But
- 10:42Speaker 1: now we're playing this whole game out called golp one.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Right, and so now with the gop one.
- 10:48Speaker 3: The gop one that our body producer is called a hormone,
- 10:51Speaker 3: but the gop one that the drug manufacturer producing is
- 10:54Speaker 3: actually from a little it's called a peptide, which mean
- 10:56Speaker 3: just a small protein less and fifty amino acids. It's
- 10:59Speaker 3: a peptide that was found in the venom of Gila monsters.
- 11:02Speaker 3: So they found that this peptide was found the venom
- 11:06Speaker 3: of Gila monsters. They found that that stimulated the same
- 11:09Speaker 3: gop one receptors that our hormones did.
- 11:12Speaker 2: The difference is.
- 11:13Speaker 3: It has a half life of seven days, so where
- 11:16Speaker 3: our natural one only lasts a couple hours after you eat.
- 11:19Speaker 3: And that way you can you can bring the glucos down,
- 11:21Speaker 3: but then you bring the insulin back down. We have
- 11:23Speaker 3: these golp ones that these people are producing that actually
- 11:27Speaker 3: they stimulate so they paralyze the stomach for way longer
- 11:30Speaker 3: than it's supposed to be paralyzed. Then they also raise
- 11:33Speaker 3: their insulin levels way higher than they're supposed to be
- 11:36Speaker 3: and keep them up, which which is the problem of
- 11:38Speaker 3: diabetes in the first place.
- 11:39Speaker 2: It's high insulin.
- 11:40Speaker 3: High glucose is just a symptom of having high insulin,
- 11:44Speaker 3: and then the DPP four that our body naturally produces
- 11:47Speaker 3: to inhibit that so it can come back down. We
- 11:50Speaker 3: actually have drugs now that block DPP four, So again
- 11:54Speaker 3: we're trying to keep the insul levels high. The reason
- 11:56Speaker 3: why we're trying to keep insulin high is because that's
- 11:59Speaker 3: how you make more diabetics. That's because all the drugs
- 12:03Speaker 3: for diabetes were its the same way. They work by
- 12:05Speaker 3: either paint producing making your stomach or your painters produce
- 12:08Speaker 3: more insulin, or they make yourselves more sensitive. Both ways,
- 12:12Speaker 3: they focus on getting the insulin up, and that's what
- 12:15Speaker 3: makes diabetes worse. And I've got all kinds of proof
- 12:18Speaker 3: on why that is. But so as far as the
- 12:20Speaker 3: gop ones, that's that's the main thing. This food stays in,
- 12:23Speaker 3: the food in the stomach for so long it starts
- 12:26Speaker 3: rotting and they they have gop one urps is what
- 12:29Speaker 3: they call them, because it's rotten food. They surgeons have
- 12:33Speaker 3: told patients to stop eating like h twelve hours before
- 12:35Speaker 3: a surgery, and they do that, and then they go
- 12:38Speaker 3: in and they do surgery and found out there's food
- 12:40Speaker 3: in the patient's stomach that's been there from a meal
- 12:42Speaker 3: they had three days earlier.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Now they have to ask and find out, Yeah, they
- 12:45Speaker 4: can change that.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Time, yes, which is which could be lethal. I mean
- 12:48Speaker 3: if they go in around esthesia, we could asperate that
- 12:50Speaker 3: and everything. So we're keeping food in it's totally tearing
- 12:53Speaker 3: up our gut. All these ant acids, all these antibiotics,
- 12:57Speaker 3: all these gop ones, all these medicas. People's GI tracks
- 13:02Speaker 3: are so messed up right now because of all this
- 13:04Speaker 3: stuff where we're screwing with what God's done and we
- 13:07Speaker 3: don't know what we're doing, and we're starting to feel
- 13:09Speaker 3: the effects of it.
- 13:10Speaker 4: It's like a butterfly effect. Really, you change one thing,
- 13:13Speaker 4: like you said, and you have all these other problems.
- 13:16Speaker 4: I just think we need to not try to play
- 13:17Speaker 4: God when you change one thing and then you end
- 13:20Speaker 4: up with all these others. When there are natural ways,
- 13:22Speaker 4: like yes, addressing what's on your plate.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Yes, yes, God's given us everything we need, everything we need.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Why do we think we're smarter and we can do that?
- 13:30Speaker 2: It makes no sense to me whatsoever.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Well, some that would be a fan of believing everything
- 13:35Speaker 1: is malevolent. I often refer to the whole pharmaceutical kingdom
- 13:39Speaker 1: as Babylon. But again that's not to disparage the many
- 13:42Speaker 1: good doctors that are there because they've picked up that profession.
- 13:45Speaker 1: They really want to help, they want to heal. I
- 13:47Speaker 1: usually hold the pharmaceutical companies and the people that write
- 13:50Speaker 1: the academia that these people are going to learn from
- 13:53Speaker 1: more responsible for what that whole apparati is.
- 13:56Speaker 3: The way people are losing weight with these glp ones
- 14:00Speaker 3: is not the way you need to lose weight, because
- 14:02Speaker 3: there's a big difference between weight loss and fat loss.
- 14:05Speaker 3: And what they're doing with the gop ones is they're
- 14:08Speaker 3: just not eating, and you have to eat. You have
- 14:11Speaker 3: to give your body nutrients, and that's why we haven't
- 14:14Speaker 3: been given our body nutrients for so long.
- 14:16Speaker 2: That's why we're hungry all the time.
- 14:18Speaker 3: So what happens is everything in our body, everything you touch.
- 14:22Speaker 2: That's protein. It's made out of protein.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Your skin, your muscles, your bones, everything, our hormones, everything
- 14:28Speaker 3: is made out of protein and fat.
- 14:30Speaker 2: We use fat in everything. Fat.
- 14:31Speaker 3: All our cells are made out of fat, fast for cushion, thermostatic, thermoregulation,
- 14:35Speaker 3: fatsy well, vitamin, you know everything.
- 14:37Speaker 2: We need that.
- 14:39Speaker 3: And what happens is normally if you eat this, your
- 14:43Speaker 3: body knows exactly what to do with all these chemicals.
- 14:45Speaker 3: When you take these fake golp ones and you take
- 14:48Speaker 3: that and it just keeps it where you don't eat.
- 14:51Speaker 2: That's true.
- 14:52Speaker 3: You don't eat, so you're not eating fat, protein, carbs,
- 14:55Speaker 3: you're not eating in that so your body is gonna
- 14:57Speaker 3: get that. It's going to save all its organs. And well,
- 15:00Speaker 3: just like you know, you cut off your arms, cut
- 15:01Speaker 3: off your legs, you're still going to function. The body
- 15:04Speaker 3: knows that it's trying to preserve the organs. So when
- 15:07Speaker 3: it needs energy, if you're not eating it, then it's
- 15:10Speaker 3: going to get the fat out of your fat sales
- 15:12Speaker 3: for your energy source, which is exactly what we want
- 15:14Speaker 3: to do. That's the way we want to do. That's
- 15:16Speaker 3: the way God made us to eat fat. But you're
- 15:19Speaker 3: also not eating so it's take. It's breaking down your
- 15:21Speaker 3: muscle tissue to get the protein for all the things
- 15:25Speaker 3: that your organs need, all the things our hormones need.
- 15:27Speaker 3: So you're losing your muscles. So most people on these
- 15:29Speaker 3: gop ones, they're losing over half the weight they're loss.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Losing his muscle.
- 15:33Speaker 3: You do not want to be losing muscle weight because
- 15:35Speaker 3: as you get older, falls are one of the biggest
- 15:38Speaker 3: reasons why people end up the hospital and actually end up.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Dying after they do that. So you've got to have strengths.
- 15:43Speaker 3: You need your muscle, you need good strengths, you need
- 15:45Speaker 3: you need leg strengths, you need.
- 15:46Speaker 2: This is all important.
- 15:48Speaker 3: So when you're taking something and all you're doing is
- 15:50Speaker 3: not eating, what you basically do is you've turned your
- 15:52Speaker 3: body into what's called auto cannibalism. It's eating itself from
- 15:55Speaker 3: the inside out. You're not getting enough protein, you're not
- 15:58Speaker 3: getting an energy source, you're not giving the vitys and
- 16:00Speaker 3: the minerals, and chances are you're probably not drinking enough
- 16:03Speaker 3: water either. So you're actually eating yourself from the inside out.
- 16:07Speaker 3: And there's no reason to do that because if you
- 16:09Speaker 3: eat metabolically the way we're supposed to eat that and
- 16:13Speaker 3: this leads into diabetes. This is everything again, when you
- 16:15Speaker 3: think of what our body's made out of, protein, fat, cholesterol, bodymins, minerals.
- 16:20Speaker 2: That's it, that's it, that's all we need. We do
- 16:23Speaker 2: not need to eat.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Carbohydrates at all. You can, you can actually go your
- 16:27Speaker 3: whole life. And I know people have done it and
- 16:29Speaker 3: they're well under their nineties now and they never put
- 16:32Speaker 3: a plant based food in their mouth. And that I'm
- 16:33Speaker 3: not against. I'm not gainst fruits and vegetables. I'm not
- 16:35Speaker 3: saying that that's God made food. There's man made food
- 16:37Speaker 3: and there's God made food. Men made food is toxic.
- 16:41Speaker 3: It's nothing but glucose, glucose, glucose and seed oils like flours, flowers,
- 16:46Speaker 3: just powdered glucose. So when you eat that stuff, and
- 16:50Speaker 3: this is what causes the body you eat this stuff again,
- 16:52Speaker 3: your intestines are turning everything into amino acids, fatty acids,
- 16:55Speaker 3: and glucose. When you eat nothing but carbs all the time,
- 16:58Speaker 3: which is what most of us do anymore, because that
- 17:00Speaker 3: was our old dietary guidelines.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Thank goodness, those have changed now.
- 17:04Speaker 3: But when you do that all the time, your body's
- 17:07Speaker 3: trying to figure out what do I do with the glucose?
- 17:09Speaker 2: Why do I do it?
- 17:09Speaker 3: So you're eating it, you put the glucose into your body,
- 17:12Speaker 3: Your blood levels goes up, your ens levels goes up.
- 17:14Speaker 3: So what actually happens is you have glucose, your body
- 17:18Speaker 3: produces insulin. Insulin tells the liver turn all that glucose
- 17:21Speaker 3: into triglyrides into fat. So now you have all these
- 17:24Speaker 3: triglycerides in the liver and it has to get it
- 17:26Speaker 3: out of that, so it packages it in this little
- 17:30Speaker 3: I call them fat mobiles VLDLs LDLs. The doctors they
- 17:34Speaker 3: tell you that's cholesterol, and it's not that. These are
- 17:36Speaker 3: lipid little machines, these little lipid boats or cars, whatever
- 17:41Speaker 3: you want to think of, and they carry the triglyrids
- 17:43Speaker 3: in the cholesterol that your body makes, your liver makes
- 17:46Speaker 3: all around the body because it's vital. Cholesterol is vital.
- 17:49Speaker 3: It's not this horrible thing that they're telling us is
- 17:52Speaker 3: cholesterol is vital.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Fat is vital.
- 17:54Speaker 3: But you can't throw fat into the blood, so it
- 17:56Speaker 3: puts it in these little fat mobiles and carries it around.
- 18:00Speaker 3: What happens is when you're eating all this glucose over
- 18:03Speaker 3: and over and over again, which people do. They eat
- 18:05Speaker 3: it every two to three hours all through the day.
- 18:07Speaker 3: That right when they do that. So the body's sitting
- 18:10Speaker 3: there thinking what am I supposed to do with all
- 18:12Speaker 3: this glucose? So it turns it on, triglyrides, packages it
- 18:15Speaker 3: in the little fat mobiles, carries it around and starts
- 18:17Speaker 3: putting a fat cell. So if I'm a fat cell
- 18:20Speaker 3: and I'm setting here, and when of these fat bills,
- 18:23Speaker 3: a VLDL or LDL comes through, it puts the triglys
- 18:26Speaker 3: rides and the fat cell, and the fat cell starts
- 18:27Speaker 3: to swell. Well, it keeps doing this for decades, for
- 18:30Speaker 3: years and years, as you continuously eat glucose. This fat
- 18:33Speaker 3: cell swells. When that fat cell is totally full, that
- 18:36Speaker 3: fat cell, it's called insulin resistant. That you can't put
- 18:40Speaker 3: any more trigly rides into this fat cell. That's insulin resistance.
- 18:43Speaker 3: So there's nothing wrong with a cell. There's nothing wrong
- 18:46Speaker 3: with insulin, nothing wrong with the pinkers or pank is
- 18:48Speaker 3: produced in plenty of insulin.
- 18:49Speaker 2: It's proper insting. Your cell's working.
- 18:51Speaker 3: You're just the fat cell is too full, and that's
- 18:54Speaker 3: its resistance. Now, what happens is you have fat cells
- 18:57Speaker 3: all over our bodies. So that's why you don't see
- 19:00Speaker 3: you don't just eat sugar right now and then all
- 19:02Speaker 3: of a sudden die, we would know, oh that's something
- 19:04Speaker 3: you don't, you stay away from. But since we have
- 19:06Speaker 3: fat cells all our bodies, we see keep eating this
- 19:08Speaker 3: sugar and flour flowers just powdered glucose, and that's all
- 19:12Speaker 3: it is.
- 19:12Speaker 2: So it's all glucose.
- 19:13Speaker 3: So as you keep eating this glucose over and over
- 19:15Speaker 3: and over again, and you put that in your blood,
- 19:17Speaker 3: your body's string in a truglyszards and slowly you start
- 19:20Speaker 3: filling all the fat cells up around your bodies. And
- 19:23Speaker 3: as the fat cell gets full, it's it's resistant and
- 19:26Speaker 3: goes on to another fat cell. So pre diabetes, when
- 19:29Speaker 3: you're healthy, you have you eat glucose. Your glucose goes up,
- 19:32Speaker 3: your body produces insulin, glucose comes down, and ser your
- 19:34Speaker 3: insul levels come down.
- 19:35Speaker 2: That's the way you want it.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Pre Diabetes is when you keep doing this year after
- 19:39Speaker 3: year after year, you keep eating glucose, and your insut
- 19:42Speaker 3: levels go up and up and up, but they're keeping
- 19:43Speaker 3: the glucose down, but it takes more and more and
- 19:46Speaker 3: more and more insulin to do that.
- 19:48Speaker 2: That is pre diabetes.
- 19:49Speaker 3: So you're in pre diabetes for decades before having an
- 19:52Speaker 3: A one C five point seventy six point four was
- 19:54Speaker 3: a marketing technique to get more people on diabetic drugs.
- 19:56Speaker 3: That hasn't nothing to do with anything, because what happens
- 19:58Speaker 3: is your insult levels are doing this, and then all
- 20:00Speaker 3: of a sudden you're slowly filling up all your fat sales,
- 20:03Speaker 3: fat fat, fat, fat fat, and now all your fat
- 20:05Speaker 3: sales are full. You can't do anything else with it,
- 20:07Speaker 3: so now your glucose levels go up. Well, when you
- 20:09Speaker 3: talk about the medical community, they say that that's when
- 20:12Speaker 3: the that's when you have pre diabetes is right here.
- 20:14Speaker 3: When your glucose start going up, you're way late in
- 20:17Speaker 3: the game. When you're doing that, you could it's still reversible,
- 20:19Speaker 3: but you're way late in game. But that's pre diabetes
- 20:22Speaker 3: is because now all of a sudden, you're glucose up,
- 20:24Speaker 3: and that's when all your fat sales are full. And
- 20:26Speaker 3: the deal is everybody everybody focus on how do you
- 20:29Speaker 3: get the blood glucose down?
- 20:31Speaker 2: How do we get it down? We got to do
- 20:33Speaker 2: with this, got to do with this.
- 20:34Speaker 3: And the question that nobody's asking, and this is when
- 20:37Speaker 3: you have one hundred percent control over, is why is
- 20:40Speaker 3: it going up in the first place? And the only
- 20:42Speaker 3: there's only two reasons why your blood glucose goes up
- 20:45Speaker 3: is it takes it from your stores, which you only
- 20:47Speaker 3: have ten percent of your liver and one percent of
- 20:49Speaker 3: each skt ale and muscle. You don't have very many
- 20:51Speaker 3: glue coose stores at all. That store is supposed to
- 20:54Speaker 3: be there for your fire to flight energy. So what's
- 20:56Speaker 3: the way God made us is that we have fat
- 20:59Speaker 3: and our fat cells. We eat, we stuff fat in
- 21:02Speaker 3: our fat cells, and then we go for times that
- 21:04Speaker 3: we don't eat, which is another problem. We used to
- 21:06Speaker 3: have long times he didn't eat, and now we don't
- 21:07Speaker 3: have those times anymore. There's food every well quote unquote
- 21:10Speaker 3: food franking food everywhere. So what you're supposed to do
- 21:13Speaker 3: is you eat the fat out of your fat cells
- 21:15Speaker 3: for your energy, and then all of a sudden there's
- 21:17Speaker 3: a firefly, some some kind of stress or whatever that is.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I need quick energy.
- 21:22Speaker 3: So your courts, all your stress hormone stimulates pinkers to
- 21:26Speaker 3: put glucose or make your liver or put some of
- 21:29Speaker 3: the glucose stores again only ten percent. There's like four
- 21:31Speaker 3: hundred calories. That's all the stories you have in your
- 21:33Speaker 3: liver tells us to put that in your blood. But
- 21:36Speaker 3: what's supposed to happen is you take get the gluxas up,
- 21:39Speaker 3: you use that glucose for that quick energy, and then
- 21:41Speaker 3: all of a sudden, the stress is gone, your glucose
- 21:44Speaker 3: goes down. Here as it comes back down, and you
- 21:45Speaker 3: start eating the fat of your fat cell. The way
- 21:47Speaker 3: we're doing it now because of our dietary guidelines that
- 21:49Speaker 3: came out in seventy seven telling everybody, oh, carbs or
- 21:52Speaker 3: watch supposed to eat. Remember, we're made out of protein, fat, cholesterol,
- 21:55Speaker 3: viums of mintos. We are not made out of carbs.
- 21:57Speaker 3: We do not have to have those at all. However,
- 22:00Speaker 3: food from the food manufacturers is made out of cars.
- 22:03Speaker 3: It's all made out plant based food. Then they can't
- 22:05Speaker 3: use animal so that's why they tell everybody animal based
- 22:07Speaker 3: foods's horrible, even though God's given us this food, you
- 22:10Speaker 3: know from the beginning. And so that's where we run
- 22:13Speaker 3: into the trouble of now, what do we need to do,
- 22:16Speaker 3: and all you need to do is quitting glucose. If
- 22:20Speaker 3: you want to bring your glucose levels down, okay, don't
- 22:22Speaker 3: think about bringing them down, think about don't put it
- 22:24Speaker 3: up in the first place. I just talked to a
- 22:26Speaker 3: guy four weeks ago. Four weeks ago, and.
- 22:29Speaker 2: He'd heard this.
- 22:29Speaker 3: He's a physician that I used to work with. He's
- 22:32Speaker 3: been a type two diabetic for seventeen years. He's been
- 22:34Speaker 3: a type two diabetic.
- 22:36Speaker 1: He give my talk.
- 22:37Speaker 3: He changed everything and he quit eating plant based food,
- 22:40Speaker 3: stopped all man made food, stopped eating that. He contacted
- 22:43Speaker 3: me three weeks later he said, he is off all
- 22:46Speaker 3: his diabetic medication. He's off all his intanties, off everything,
- 22:50Speaker 3: because again, given diabetic medication is making your instut levels higher.
- 22:55Speaker 2: They want you to focus on that.
- 22:57Speaker 3: So, just like the gop one agonist, they have you
- 23:00Speaker 3: focused on weight. Oh, your weight law, your weight's going down,
- 23:04Speaker 3: but your weight law's going down because you're losing fat
- 23:06Speaker 3: am muscle. And they say, oh, your sugar's going down,
- 23:08Speaker 3: Well that's because your insulin's going up.
- 23:09Speaker 2: So they have you look at the wrong things.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Well, ladies and gentlemen, we were never gonna squeeze everything
- 23:14Speaker 1: that you need to know about all of this talk
- 23:16Speaker 1: about metabolic disease and type two diabetes and where your
- 23:19Speaker 1: genetics may play into factor and where they don't, and
- 23:22Speaker 1: what doctors have told you is maybe hereditary and how
- 23:25Speaker 1: that is or isn't maybe the case. But I do
- 23:27Speaker 1: want to make you aware of where you can get
- 23:29Speaker 1: a copy of this incredible work. We're gonna bring this
- 23:31Speaker 1: up on the screen. If you want to get your

- 24:09Speaker 1: for forty two dollars plus shipping and handling, go to
- 24:12Speaker 1: Eden'sessentials dot com the book will do a lot more
- 24:15Speaker 1: than we can on a thirty minute episode like this.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Before we close out, I know Jamie had something she
- 24:21Speaker 1: wanted to ask.
- 24:22Speaker 4: You, Doctor Hewlett. For our viewers who are watching and
- 24:24Speaker 4: they are inspired and they realize I need to make
- 24:27Speaker 4: a change, what would you offer them as to next
- 24:30Speaker 4: steps that they can do to get on their way
- 24:32Speaker 4: to reversing their metabolic disease.
- 24:34Speaker 3: The main thing is focus on what you're eating. That's
- 24:37Speaker 3: the whole thing. Definitely stay away from anything a box,
- 24:39Speaker 3: bottle bag and can. All this man made food is
- 24:42Speaker 3: nothing but chemicals and it stalks into your body. So
- 24:44Speaker 3: when you're talking about fruits and vegetables as where you
- 24:47Speaker 3: get your gluecose, just think the plants that grow below
- 24:49Speaker 3: the ground, We're going to have a lot more glucose
- 24:51Speaker 3: in it because they have stars.
- 24:52Speaker 2: That's nutrients for the plant.
- 24:54Speaker 3: The ones that grow above the ground are going to
- 24:56Speaker 3: have less glucose. They'll all still have it. But if
- 24:58Speaker 3: you can just definitely stay away from all sugar sweeten beverages.
- 25:01Speaker 3: You know, go to water and sweet coffee and sweet tea.
- 25:03Speaker 3: All this fruit juice and all that is just lethal.
- 25:06Speaker 3: That's all nothing but glucose, and our whole body, if
- 25:08Speaker 3: you look, our whole body only has two teaspoons with
- 25:10Speaker 3: a sugar in it. That's how much our bloodstream has.
- 25:13Speaker 3: So it doesn't take very much glucose. So stick to
- 25:16Speaker 3: the plants that grow above the ground and stick to water,
- 25:19Speaker 3: and stay away from all the sugar sweetened beverages and
- 25:21Speaker 3: these these plants that have a lot of glucose. If
- 25:24Speaker 3: you're already having issues, and the main thing is get
- 25:26Speaker 3: your insulin tested, and you can do that on your
- 25:27Speaker 3: own for fifteen dollars, order the fastened insulin and my
- 25:30Speaker 3: wife did it. She had the results back in less
- 25:33Speaker 3: than a week. It only costs fifteen dollars. So that's
- 25:36Speaker 3: how you're going to know if your type two diabetic
- 25:37Speaker 3: or pre diabetic is looking at your insulin levels, and
- 25:40Speaker 3: your doctors are not going to know that.
- 25:41Speaker 1: But mostly you probably would see some improvement just taking
- 25:44Speaker 1: some of the advice that you've wron articulated today, even
- 25:47Speaker 1: without you know, having your insulin checked, and of course
- 25:50Speaker 1: eating right yep, your plate is your fate. Oh what
- 25:53Speaker 1: a clever book cover.
- 25:56Speaker 4: I would definitely say, if you're not eating the fruits
- 25:58Speaker 4: and vegetables, you should be probably taking an organ meat
- 26:01Speaker 4: supplement or eating origins.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's really hot right now. You see a
- 26:06Speaker 1: lot of health trends towards organ meat, for the minerals
- 26:09Speaker 1: and the nutrients doctor Steve with just about a minute
- 26:11Speaker 1: on the clock, if you're watching this program and you've heard,
- 26:15Speaker 1: you know, doctor Steve say something about wait a minute,
- 26:16Speaker 1: so I'm not supposed to have plant based foods. Just
- 26:18Speaker 1: in total, it's way more complicated than we can get
- 26:22Speaker 1: into in just a minute. But maybe just a quick
- 26:24Speaker 1: bullet point of what you mean when you say you know,
- 26:26Speaker 1: avoid plants.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Yes, fruits and vegetables are fine. Fruits, vessel good. You
- 26:30Speaker 3: do get vitamins and minerals and stuff out that. However,
- 26:33Speaker 3: just remember that they all have glucose, so some has
- 26:36Speaker 3: more than other. If you are diabetic or pre diabetic
- 26:39Speaker 3: have been classified that you might once stay away from
- 26:42Speaker 3: the ones that have a lot of glucose, which is
- 26:44Speaker 3: the ones that grow below the plant, below the ground.
- 26:47Speaker 3: But fruits and vegetables are fine if you go out
- 26:50Speaker 3: think about the same thing.
- 26:50Speaker 2: The main thing when you go out to.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Eat is the fried what the oils they fried in
- 26:54Speaker 3: and also the buns, buns like that fright French fries.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Yes, that's glucose bits.
- 26:59Speaker 3: The seed was also, So when we go out, we'll
- 27:01Speaker 3: we'll get a big hamburger. We just take the butt
- 27:03Speaker 3: off and we'll replace the fries with butter broccoli.
- 27:06Speaker 2: So now we have mainly meat based product. We have.
- 27:09Speaker 3: It's all God food. It's God based food. It's not
- 27:12Speaker 3: in man based foods.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Eating out is very very difficult with everything being cooked
- 27:16Speaker 4: in seed oils. Everything, it feels impossible to avoid it,
- 27:19Speaker 4: even if you choose really healthy foods. It's what they're
- 27:22Speaker 4: frying it in.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Well, ladies and gentlemen, did you learn something today? How
- 27:28Speaker 1: many of you want to see doctor Steve Hewlett back
- 27:31Speaker 1: on Life TV? Now? We have so much more we
- 27:36Speaker 1: can cover, and you're gonna want to join us next
- 27:38Speaker 1: week because we're gonna be talking about cardiovascular health. Huh. Unfortunately,
- 27:45Speaker 1: we're all out of time for everybody here in studio,
- 27:47Speaker 1: everybody up here on panel, Doctor Steve, thank you so
- 27:49Speaker 1: much for joining us. I'm Joe Artist Horn. Keep your

- 28:02Speaker 2: M m m hmmmmmm.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Join us next week on Life TV.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Now our body has to have cholesterol. You've got to
- 28:18Speaker 3: remember drug companies are it's a business.
- 28:20Speaker 2: They're they're there to make more money.
- 28:22Speaker 3: It was a scam to get more people eating their stuff.
- 28:29Speaker 1: H
