Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett.
- 0:05Speaker 2: All Right, are you guys aware here at one ling
- 0:08Speaker 2: of Alex Media that Scott Besson had an assassination attempt
- 0:12Speaker 2: against his life?
- 0:14Speaker 1: See Asmuda.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I love to talk about sports and adaptability. It's these
- 0:20Speaker 2: kind of stories that fire me up. Also because.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I didn't know until this Kouk got eight years in
- 0:28Speaker 1: prison this week for uh basically, I believe.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Approaching the Capital well on January twenty twenty five, I
- 0:47Speaker 2: mean that they discovered the police discovered improvised melotov cocktails
- 0:52Speaker 2: and a knife.
- 0:52Speaker 1: They searched the suspect.
- 0:55Speaker 2: According to Capitol police report, he wanted to burn down
- 1:00Speaker 2: on a think tank in Washington, d C. I mean,
- 1:02Speaker 2: the guy that did this plot pretty insane, and he
- 1:08Speaker 2: confessed to the plot outside of the capital in twenty
- 1:11Speaker 2: twenty five. During twenty twenty seven, because well, Scott Beston
- 1:15Speaker 2: happened to be getting confirmed.
- 1:17Speaker 1: That week or that day, and I turned back to
- 1:24Speaker 1: New York City as well.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I said, last week, Mom, Donnie was doxing nine hundred
- 1:31Speaker 2: thousand people, and the political climate I was referring to
- 1:35Speaker 2: is this crap. See, if we don't talk about these attempts,
- 1:41Speaker 2: no one's gonna think there's a problem or that there's
- 1:44Speaker 2: kumbaya or whatever. But there's there's some disunity out there.
- 1:50Speaker 1: There are some kooks. Just look at what happened.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Now almost a year ago with Charlie Kirking assassinated. Look
- 1:59Speaker 2: at Trump's attempts on his life. They were also saying
- 2:04Speaker 2: they moved planes because there was a threat on his life.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I mean, what is going on? But back in New
- 2:12Speaker 1: York last week, a deranged.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I had to say Muslim, but like a deranged person,
- 2:21Speaker 2: I think he was Muslim stormed and assaulted people at
- 2:25Speaker 2: a synagogue on Shabbat last week. And sure, Mom Donnie
- 2:31Speaker 2: condemned that, but that's like the firefighter. That's like starting
- 2:36Speaker 2: the fire then putting out the fire at the same time.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Because name one thing, really, Mum Donnie's done to truly
- 2:43Speaker 2: stand by the Jewish population in New York. And when
- 2:48Speaker 2: I talked about political climate last week, this Bessett assassination
- 2:52Speaker 2: attempt is what I was talking about. I don't think
- 2:56Speaker 2: many people knew until this guy got sentenced that there
- 2:58Speaker 2: was actually a plot on his life, on Mike Johnson's
- 3:03Speaker 2: life at the time. And also, by the way, this
- 3:06Speaker 2: guy that stormed the Hilton had a manifesto naming a
- 3:10Speaker 2: bunch of people as well. He was targeting that at
- 3:13Speaker 2: the administration there too, that kook, that nut job. I
- 3:17Speaker 2: don't even want to give their names because I just
- 3:20Speaker 2: they don't deserve the recognition. But these attempted assassinations need
- 3:28Speaker 2: to be highlighted because it shows there are people that
- 3:32Speaker 2: are taking rhetoric too damn far.
- 3:35Speaker 1: So maybe we cut the rhetoric out. Maybe we don't
- 3:40Speaker 1: stand in front of Ken Griffin's home, mayor Mum Donnie.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Maybe we just.
- 3:50Speaker 2: We don't do things, or even dare I say call
- 3:54Speaker 2: for the arrest of Nott in Yahoo?
- 3:56Speaker 1: You know, I really believe when he said that.
- 4:01Speaker 2: People who are not of sound mind would think, well,
- 4:04Speaker 2: then I'm gonna go and not just arrest, but harm
- 4:10Speaker 2: Jewish people. I do believe that whole incident with him
- 4:14Speaker 2: calling on the arrest of NTNA, who inspired this attack
- 4:16Speaker 2: on Friday night, then he condemns it. Meanwhile, he's like saying,
- 4:20Speaker 2: we got to arrest someone. And as I've said before,
- 4:23Speaker 2: when you say you want to arrest a figurehead, does
- 4:26Speaker 2: that mean you want to arrest a whole ethnic population.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Then that's how I feel about it. It's like a
- 4:30Speaker 2: threat against the Jewish community, but in an error. In
- 4:36Speaker 2: a climate where there's nine hundred thousand people's names just
- 4:39Speaker 2: floating out there, including Rachel O'Brien Morano and there and
- 4:42Speaker 2: Carmi Morano Senior or Carl Morano, uh, Frank Morano's father,
- 4:51Speaker 2: this sentencing happens, and it's a reminder just like it
- 4:57Speaker 2: was when Kavanaugh.
- 5:00Speaker 1: There's a guy outside capitals that was zip tized. I mean,
- 5:02Speaker 1: are you freaking kidding me?
- 5:05Speaker 2: How about Amy Cony Devera, who said there's been threats
- 5:07Speaker 2: on her life. So in this political climate I was
- 5:12Speaker 2: talking about last week, here's the proof.
- 5:14Speaker 1: No one is safe. No one is safe.
- 5:17Speaker 2: And if we just toned down the rhetoric and not
- 5:20Speaker 2: call for the arrest of figureheads and I don't know,
- 5:24Speaker 2: not called for the end of Thanksgiving, thank God for it,
- 5:26Speaker 2: Jessica Hognen would last week, right, I mean, really, though,
- 5:31Speaker 2: the rhetoric is getting too heated and the assassination attempts
- 5:38Speaker 2: are seemingly seemingly increasing, But imagine being so sick in
- 5:46Speaker 2: the head that you want to target not Trump but
- 5:48Speaker 2: one of his nominations. I mean, that's sickness right there.
- 5:53Speaker 2: And we worked with Scott best here at the radio
- 5:56Speaker 2: station a couple of times.
- 5:57Speaker 1: He's actually a.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Very wise person, and he's a lot of insights, and
- 6:04Speaker 2: he's just good in the Treasury. And we've seen some
- 6:07Speaker 2: failed Treasury Department people.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Haven't we.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I mean, Manucha was okay, but Beston actually seems to
- 6:14Speaker 2: be doing well. Minucha had his flaws when he was
- 6:17Speaker 2: the Treasury secretary. But this sentencing is just another reason
- 6:24Speaker 2: why those especially on the far left, need to calm
- 6:28Speaker 2: the f down, because what they're saying is getting the
- 6:33Speaker 2: people's minds. You don't think this guy listened to Maxine
- 6:37Speaker 2: Waters and said, who said, hit him high if you see.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Him at a restaurant or something like that.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I mean there's been time and time again audio clips hella.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Even Hillary Clinton called Trump supporters deplorable. I mean that's
- 6:51Speaker 2: a threat. You know, she might have been Secretary of
- 6:55Speaker 2: saying the first lady, but her words still matter, especially
- 6:59Speaker 2: that probably call for the election. Actually when she called
- 7:01Speaker 2: half of America a deplorable I mean.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Can you imagine that? But that's just words. This is where.
- 7:10Speaker 2: The rhetorics starting to become violent because you have a
- 7:12Speaker 2: guy showing up to the Capitol Police Capital wanting to
- 7:16Speaker 2: burn down a thing tank, wanting to take out Mike Johnson,
- 7:19Speaker 2: and then shifted plans when he saw Scott Besen was
- 7:22Speaker 2: about to be confirmed. And this happened two months before
- 7:26Speaker 2: I went there, By the way, how funny is that?
- 7:29Speaker 2: How funny is that it happened two months before I
- 7:32Speaker 2: was down in DC in March and already and actually
- 7:37Speaker 2: come to the about it because the election was twenty four.
- 7:39Speaker 2: This doesn't happened just four days or five days after
- 7:42Speaker 2: the inauguration.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I mean, that's wild.
- 7:47Speaker 2: So not only did justice get served with this, okay,
- 7:51Speaker 2: but also it serves as a heavy reminder.
- 7:58Speaker 1: He wanted to kill a cabinet member.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Whose confirmation in the Senate was scheduled to vote on
- 8:04Speaker 2: that day, that day, and that that person was Scott Bessett.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Janine Perrou wrote, my office was non tolerted attempts to
- 8:18Speaker 2: attimidate or harm public officials. The attempts to attack sur
- 8:22Speaker 2: Secretary of Scott Bessett was an attack on the democratic
- 8:25Speaker 2: process itself.
- 8:26Speaker 1: And that's the other thing. You know.
- 8:28Speaker 2: The left says that Trump attacks the democracy, but look
- 8:34Speaker 2: at who the people that are doing all these attempts
- 8:39Speaker 2: aligned with Not the Republicans, No, no, no, they align.
- 8:44Speaker 1: With the far left.
- 8:45Speaker 2: That's the only reason I can explain them wanting to
- 8:49Speaker 2: attack Trump nominees. You never saw this with Biden nominees, even.
- 8:57Speaker 1: You know, I know.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Obama had some attempts on his life in a pair
- 9:00Speaker 2: assassination attempts apparently, and I was not aware of that until.
- 9:05Speaker 1: The traumatization attempts are happening. But no, this is not.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Something that should slip through the cracks. This administration is
- 9:18Speaker 2: at risk. This city here in New York.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Feels like.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Are risks to be a certain uh you know ethnic population,
- 9:31Speaker 2: should Jewish per se. I've heard things that people are
- 9:37Speaker 2: not wearing their yamagas for fear of being targeted. I mean,
- 9:40Speaker 2: who wants to live in a city like that? Who
- 9:46Speaker 2: wants to live in a city like that? And then
- 9:48Speaker 2: don't really I started. The police officer seemed to be
- 9:50Speaker 2: targeted too. I mean, you can't be an ICE officer
- 9:53Speaker 2: without feeling like there's a threat. In fact, a lot
- 9:56Speaker 2: of people are saying, unmask those people, but we all
- 9:59Speaker 2: know if you want masked the ICE agents, they're gonna
- 10:02Speaker 2: get docs and that's gonna be worse to a family
- 10:04Speaker 2: and probably a good person that just is in the
- 10:09Speaker 2: middle of this insane thing with ice. But still the
- 10:12Speaker 2: officers themselves should not be assaulted for for protecting and
- 10:17Speaker 2: doing their job. But the rhetoric is heated right now
- 10:23Speaker 2: and this assassination attempt on Besson's life and they.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Can say, well, he didn't get even get close. That's
- 10:29Speaker 1: not the point.
- 10:31Speaker 2: An attempt is when someone brings Dasoline to Mari Lago
- 10:36Speaker 2: looking for Donald Trump, to the front.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Door of Barla, how does he even get past the gate?
- 10:43Speaker 2: You know this crooks may not have shot at Trump,
- 10:46Speaker 2: but he was feet away from the golf course.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And it took a very, very.
- 10:53Speaker 2: A suit an observant and mindful secret agent who heard
- 10:59Speaker 2: the rustling of the gun as he was like backing
- 11:01Speaker 2: up or time I don't even know in the bushes
- 11:03Speaker 2: to do something.
- 11:08Speaker 1: But let's be real here. You never had to worry
- 11:11Speaker 1: if a Biden masician was out to dinner if they
- 11:13Speaker 1: would be attacked right right, And no, you wouldn't have
- 11:15Speaker 1: to worry about that.
- 11:17Speaker 2: You wouldn't have to worry about really anybody on the
- 11:20Speaker 2: left being attacked. But since Trump got back into office,
- 11:26Speaker 2: since his run in twenty four where you know in Butler,
- 11:29Speaker 2: we all remember him and that's two years ago already.
- 11:31Speaker 1: That's crazy, Yet time flies right up to today. I mean, yeah,
- 11:38Speaker 1: I switch planes, as I said, because there was a
- 11:39Speaker 1: threat of his life there too. So let's not.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Dismiss these sentencings and accountability, because if we don't talk
- 11:54Speaker 2: about it, then we won't highlight just how sick of
- 11:59Speaker 2: a month people are developing, especially worth the Trump administration,
- 12:06Speaker 2: and I think toward people in general. And I feel like,
- 12:13Speaker 2: I don't know, I didn't hear many others except for
- 12:15Speaker 2: Fox News and The Hill reporting on it.
- 12:17Speaker 1: So I want to report on it because it's a
- 12:23Speaker 1: big deal.
- 12:26Speaker 2: It's a big deal that another administration official was targeted.
- 12:31Speaker 2: How do you not see that CNN or any other
- 12:37Speaker 2: network that I'm short, didn't cover it half as much.
- 12:44Speaker 1: But that's why we're here.
- 12:46Speaker 2: That's why I started the show fourteen years ago, to
- 12:49Speaker 2: show you how our tax dollars being spent and most
- 12:55Speaker 2: of it spent on actually preventing crime. Most of it
- 12:59Speaker 2: is actually spent on preventing crime, whether it be bolstering
- 13:03Speaker 2: the military. I knowpe we hate to say that, but
- 13:05Speaker 2: it's true. The military doesn't need its funding, whether it's
- 13:09Speaker 2: Capitol police doing its job. And on the right, I
- 13:13Speaker 2: know you're gonna say, well, the other capitol police let
- 13:15Speaker 2: the people into the capitol five years ago.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I don't even know how that whole thing just transpired.
- 13:22Speaker 1: It just got out of control on January sixth. But
- 13:27Speaker 1: even that, even that got so much scrutiny.
- 13:30Speaker 2: All these people that stormed the capitol, you know, and
- 13:32Speaker 2: somewhere very peaceful. I hate to say it that way,
- 13:34Speaker 2: but they trespassed. Sure, they committed a ventual crime, but
- 13:37Speaker 2: they've been in jail not getting due process at times.
- 13:40Speaker 2: And I'm not defending them. I do think they were
- 13:43Speaker 2: wrong to enter the capitol, even if by accident, or
- 13:45Speaker 2: to have a joy ride there.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I think that's pretty wrong. But if you're going to.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Cover that, media cover the fact another person on I
- 13:55Speaker 2: don't want to say your side could You're supposed to
- 13:57Speaker 2: be unbiased, But on your side, the capital with plans
- 14:01Speaker 2: to throw molotov cocktails at a hearing, and by the way,
- 14:06Speaker 2: we need to fix those hearing procedures security. I am
- 14:11Speaker 2: sick and tired of seeing these Senate hearings and all
- 14:14Speaker 2: of a sudden, ten people get up in protest.
- 14:16Speaker 1: How is that allowed to happen. It's a secure facility.
- 14:22Speaker 1: These hearings should go on.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And I'm not saying suppressed, but I'm saying, you want
- 14:26Speaker 2: to protest, freaking do it outside.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Do it outside, don't interrupt their hearings. I get sick
- 14:33Speaker 1: of that.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Like p txit is trying to prove his point on
- 14:35Speaker 2: Iran and all of a sudden, like ten people are
- 14:38Speaker 2: getting thrown out of the hearing.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I've seen that time and time again. But by that happened.
- 14:46Speaker 1: There's those security procedures, aren't they like you would think?
- 14:50Speaker 1: You would think?
- 14:54Speaker 2: But thank god this guy did not get through, because
- 14:57Speaker 2: you know, it's incredible to me.
- 15:03Speaker 1: How ninety nine percent.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Of things the FBI catches, CIA catches, or you know,
- 15:10Speaker 2: police catch that one percent was not able to succeed
- 15:17Speaker 2: this time.
- 15:19Speaker 1: And thank God for that. But let it be a
- 15:23Speaker 1: warning that it's not just Trump.
- 15:24Speaker 2: We gotta you know, I don't wanna say pray for it,
- 15:28Speaker 2: because they pray for me, but not that Trump.
- 15:30Speaker 1: We gotta worry about his safety. It's all everybody in
- 15:32Speaker 1: the administration.
- 15:35Speaker 2: And the fact, we even have to worry about someone's
- 15:37Speaker 2: safety because they align with the administration. They're in a
- 15:40Speaker 2: certain administration that is a threat of democracy. Just because
- 15:45Speaker 2: someone's rich enough to have two homes in New York,
- 15:48Speaker 2: they get to be docked.
- 15:49Speaker 1: That's not that's not the American way. That's not the
- 15:55Speaker 1: American way.
- 15:56Speaker 2: We don't do that to people, especially as that contribute
- 15:59Speaker 2: to the city.
- 16:01Speaker 1: So I'm just coming down her tee. I'm sick of
- 16:03Speaker 1: the attacks.
- 16:04Speaker 2: I'm sick of hearing about the attempted a sassinations because
- 16:07Speaker 2: it means, it means the rhetoric has gotten too hot
- 16:14Speaker 2: and it must be dialed down once and for all
- 16:20Speaker 2: for the country's sake. And that's my message. At one
- 16:23Speaker 2: like a balax media
