- 2:29Speaker 3: Good morning, sir, welcome to the show.
- 2:31Speaker 6: Good morning. How are you?
- 2:32Speaker 3: I'm fine, Thank you for being the first of all.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Had everything go with the ribbon cutting out at the
- 2:36Speaker 3: Metalwood on Saturday.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Absolutely incredible.
- 2:38Speaker 7: We had about fifteen to twenty kids that came out
- 2:40Speaker 7: with their parents and the see of the joy on
- 2:42Speaker 7: their face when they were playing on that new, beautiful
- 2:46Speaker 7: big playground out in Metalwood Park and Tornado was worth
- 2:50Speaker 7: every hard work that we put into it. In every
- 2:53Speaker 7: penny that we spent.
- 2:53Speaker 3: And there has been a lot of hard work that's
- 2:55Speaker 3: gone into that. Not only there, but you talked about
- 2:57Speaker 3: last time when you were on the show last week
- 3:00Speaker 3: about some of the other playgrounds and stuff like that.
- 3:02Speaker 3: A lot of hard work's got into all that.
- 3:03Speaker 7: We did at Institute at the Shawnee Sports Complex. We're
- 3:06Speaker 7: currently building one at Coonskin Park, and we're gonna later
- 3:11Speaker 7: put one in at Poundeer Park over in eastern Kennall County.
- 3:13Speaker 7: So great things are happening in Kannall County right now.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Now. You're not on the show today though, to talk
- 3:18Speaker 3: about your role as a county commission You're always welcome
- 3:22Speaker 3: to do that, but you're here to make an announcement,
- 3:24Speaker 3: so I will yield the floor to you.
- 3:27Speaker 7: Well day, thank thank you for having me on today,
- 3:29Speaker 7: and I want to say that it's been an absolute
- 3:32Speaker 7: pleasure and honor to serve the citizens of Kannall County
- 3:36Speaker 7: as your County Commissioner. You know, in the last four
- 3:38Speaker 7: and a half years, we've done great work together. We've
- 3:41Speaker 7: actually been able to make a lot of investments into
- 3:43Speaker 7: our water and sewer projects, ensuring that people have potable,
- 3:46Speaker 7: clean water right to their house and not relying on
- 3:49Speaker 7: a well that's dried up, making sure that we're looking
- 3:52Speaker 7: at economic development and tourism in bringing in the hat
- 3:56Speaker 7: film McCoy for the first time the Kannall County with
- 3:58Speaker 7: our dirt bike trails out in Tornado and Appalachian Outlaw
- 4:01Speaker 7: Trails as well out in eastern Kennell County, one hundred
- 4:04Speaker 7: thousand acres, the largest ATV park in the country would
- 4:08Speaker 7: be right here in our back door. We've made tremendous
- 4:11Speaker 7: strides and I've been a part of that, and it's
- 4:14Speaker 7: something that's incredibly important to me as a native Kennell
- 4:17Speaker 7: County and from Saint Albans. But I want to be
- 4:20Speaker 7: in the position that best serves the people of the
- 4:23Speaker 7: state of West Virginia, and I think with my experience
- 4:26Speaker 7: and discussions with my family, I would like to make
- 4:28Speaker 7: the announcement here on the Dave Allen Show that I
- 4:30Speaker 7: will be announcing I'm going to be running for State
- 4:34Speaker 7: Senate District eight in the twenty twenty six election.
- 4:38Speaker 3: So how did you arrive at this decision?
- 4:41Speaker 7: Well, I think it comes back to I want to
- 4:44Speaker 7: be in that position that best serves the people of
- 4:45Speaker 7: West Virginia and the experience that I've had with the
- 4:48Speaker 7: County Commission and working with all these tremendous projects of
- 4:52Speaker 7: bringing prosperity and healthy lifestyles and just being able to
- 4:57Speaker 7: give back to the community has been absolutely incredible. And
- 5:00Speaker 7: I believe that I'm the type of person that can
- 5:02Speaker 7: bring that to the to the Capitol and start to
- 5:06Speaker 7: work with the state and finding ways that we can
- 5:08Speaker 7: continue this growth that we've seen while also decreasing the
- 5:12Speaker 7: tax burden through eliminating the income tax.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Talking again with Kennaugh County Commissioner Lance Wheeler, who has
- 5:17Speaker 3: just announced within the last thirty to forty five seconds
- 5:20Speaker 3: he's going to be running for state Senate. Why Senate
- 5:23Speaker 3: and not the House. Was there a particular reason why
- 5:25Speaker 3: you chose Senate?
- 5:26Speaker 7: Well, I think that the Senate shows that an area
- 5:29Speaker 7: that I think I can best serve. You know, that's
- 5:32Speaker 7: where a lot of experience lies, and that's what that's
- 5:36Speaker 7: what makes the Senate the Senate, and I bring.
- 5:38Speaker 6: I believe that bring that experience.
- 5:40Speaker 7: You know, look at my background just on the County
- 5:43Speaker 7: Commission of the accomplishments that we've made in cutting waste
- 5:47Speaker 7: out of governments, you know, look at KRT and the
- 5:49Speaker 7: work that we put in saving taxpayer dollars of one
- 5:52Speaker 7: point six million dollars, looking at caseaaar Amban's authority and
- 5:57Speaker 7: telling them we need to be more efficient with taxpayer
- 5:59Speaker 7: dollars while still giving the same essential services. And so
- 6:03Speaker 7: we've been making strides and saving taxpayer money out of
- 6:07Speaker 7: my office along with my colleagues and the Count of Commission.
- 6:10Speaker 7: But I know where money is. I know where it goes.
- 6:14Speaker 7: I understand where the important is essential parts of government exist.
- 6:19Speaker 7: And if I'm in the Senate, I can ask those
- 6:21Speaker 7: tough questions of just like I did in the Count
- 6:24Speaker 7: of Commission, why do we do things this way?
- 6:26Speaker 6: You know I used to.
- 6:27Speaker 7: Get the answer, well, Commissioner, we do things this way
- 6:30Speaker 7: because that's how we've always done it. And I think
- 6:32Speaker 7: that that's something that we need to bring to the
- 6:34Speaker 7: state and start asking those tough questions and finding out
- 6:38Speaker 7: where that money we can start saving in our budget
- 6:41Speaker 7: through all of our departments. And I know there's ways, Dave.
- 6:43Speaker 7: You can't tell me that there's not one red scent
- 6:47Speaker 7: of waste in our state government budget. And I think
- 6:50Speaker 7: through that as a Senator and finding those cost saving
- 6:54Speaker 7: efficient manners in the budget. We can then use that
- 6:58Speaker 7: cost savings to transfer that back into the pockets of
- 7:01Speaker 7: the taxpayers in the state of West Virginia by eliminating
- 7:04Speaker 7: the state income tax, which is an important issue for me.
- 7:07Speaker 3: So how will this impact your role as County Commissioner.
- 7:10Speaker 7: Well, I'll still continue to serve as county commissioner. You know,
- 7:13Speaker 7: I will be focusing my attention to the entire district.
- 7:16Speaker 7: You know, the district is essentially Charleston going into Institute,
- 7:21Speaker 7: Dumbar Nitro Cross Lanes, it goes into Putnam County with
- 7:26Speaker 7: Eleanor and Buffalo, goes into Jackson right before Ripley Rowan
- 7:31Speaker 7: into Spencer and then all of Clay County and then
- 7:33Speaker 7: coming back that line through Cissonville.
- 7:36Speaker 6: And so I think there's a lot.
- 7:37Speaker 7: Of support that I've already received, and I'd like to
- 7:39Speaker 7: talk about that in a second. But you know, these
- 7:41Speaker 7: are a lot of the constituents, whether it's in Kannall
- 7:43Speaker 7: County or in our neighboring counties that I've been serving
- 7:46Speaker 7: with and I've been working with because I believe that
- 7:48Speaker 7: high tides rises all ships and what's best for Putnam
- 7:51Speaker 7: County is best for Kennall County and vice versa.
- 7:54Speaker 6: And so I think that I'm going to continue.
- 7:56Speaker 7: To work with those relationships and build and show the
- 7:59Speaker 7: voters of the Senatorial eighth district why I'm the best
- 8:03Speaker 7: Conservative choice for them to represent them at the state House.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Talked about the support that you've received in the in
- 8:09Speaker 3: the past from these people, you said you wanted to
- 8:12Speaker 3: touch on that a little bit more.
- 8:13Speaker 7: You know, I've been reaching out to good, good friends
- 8:16Speaker 7: of mine that I've been working with and we've done
- 8:17Speaker 7: great things together, and sharing with them this idea that
- 8:21Speaker 7: I wanted to run for State Senate, and they were
- 8:24Speaker 7: extremely encouraging, telling me that they strongly believed that I
- 8:28Speaker 7: was the person that could best serve this district. And
- 8:31Speaker 7: I'm proud to say that Delegate Dana Farrell out in
- 8:33Speaker 7: Cisinville has endorsed my campaign.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Delicate.
- 8:36Speaker 7: Andy Shamberlain out of Nitro has endorsed me. Andy Skidmore,
- 8:41Speaker 7: Putnam County Commissioned President, has officially endorsed me. Along with
- 8:45Speaker 7: Scott Elliott, mayor of Dunbar, and Dave case Boltz, mayor
- 8:49Speaker 7: of Nitro, have already endorsed me for this race. I've
- 8:53Speaker 7: had personal conversations with them, and they understand that I'm
- 8:56Speaker 7: the type of person that even when I'm at the
- 8:58Speaker 7: state Capitol, I'm one of we having common stations with
- 9:00Speaker 7: our local government, with the constituents, whether it's a major
- 9:05Speaker 7: issue with PIA or maybe it's that you just need
- 9:07Speaker 7: a branch removed from your yard. I want to work
- 9:10Speaker 7: to get that taken care of you, because I'm going
- 9:12Speaker 7: to serve you as you're elected official and take care
- 9:16Speaker 7: of my constituents. And I think that's where a lot
- 9:17Speaker 7: of that support comes from. I'm proud to have that support,
- 9:20Speaker 7: and we have a lot more coming. Those are just
- 9:22Speaker 7: the ones I can announce right now, but there's a
- 9:25Speaker 7: tidal wave of support for me to run for State Senate,
- 9:28Speaker 7: and this is something that I believe my heart has
- 9:31Speaker 7: guided me to do. I've talked to my wife about
- 9:34Speaker 7: this and.
- 9:34Speaker 3: You better Yeah. Absolutely.
- 9:37Speaker 7: I wouldn't be here right now if my wife did
- 9:38Speaker 7: not agree that this is the best place for me
- 9:42Speaker 7: in helping the state of West Virginia. You know, when
- 9:44Speaker 7: I ran in twenty twenty for County Commissioner, I had
- 9:47Speaker 7: that conversation with my wife and she said, you know,
- 9:51Speaker 7: Lance whatever you have to do to serve not just
- 9:54Speaker 7: our family, to better our family, but the people of
- 9:57Speaker 7: our community, then.
- 9:58Speaker 6: You have to do it.
- 9:59Speaker 7: It's a calling and I truly believe that, and that's
- 10:02Speaker 7: why you know I'm here today on Dave Allen Show
- 10:05Speaker 7: with you to announce that I am running for State Senate.
- 10:08Speaker 3: But Dave Violence showing five any Live is presented in
- 10:10Speaker 3: part by Generation's Physical Therapy, the leading provider of out
- 10:13Speaker 3: patient PT in the Tri State for nearly thirty years.
- 10:15Speaker 3: For an appointment three zero four, seventh, six zero fifty
- 10:18Speaker 3: six to sixty or visit generations PT dot com define
- 10:21Speaker 3: the closest location near you. You know, with the Republican
- 10:25Speaker 3: super duper majority, now that's trademarked by me, by the way,
- 10:30Speaker 3: just like with the Democrats all those years. You know,
- 10:32Speaker 3: Democrats controlled West Virginia for eighty three years and you
- 10:34Speaker 3: saw different factions. And you're starting to see this with
- 10:38Speaker 3: the Republicans. And that's no matter what who's in power,
- 10:40Speaker 3: that's what you're going to see. You're going to have
- 10:42Speaker 3: the more far you're gonna have far right, you're gonna
- 10:44Speaker 3: have centrist, you're gonna have maybe a little bit more
- 10:47Speaker 3: moderate if you had to describe your overall political ideology
- 10:52Speaker 3: as a Republican, what would it be.
- 10:54Speaker 7: Well, I think that I'm a true conservative. I'm a
- 10:56Speaker 7: free market capitalist. I'm a pro gun, pro coal, pro energy.
- 11:02Speaker 6: I believe that.
- 11:04Speaker 7: People know how to spend their own money better than
- 11:07Speaker 7: the government, and that if we can find ways to
- 11:09Speaker 7: cut waste, abuse and fraud and get that money back
- 11:13Speaker 7: into the pockets of the taxpayers, the citizens, and out
- 11:16Speaker 7: of the pockets of the government, then that's where we're
- 11:19Speaker 7: going to see true economic growth. You know, you look
- 11:21Speaker 7: at other states and Governor Patrick Morrissey has talked about
- 11:24Speaker 7: this with his you know, the backyard Brawl, and what
- 11:27Speaker 7: that means is let's look at other states and what
- 11:30Speaker 7: they've been successful at and use those Those are good ideas,
- 11:34Speaker 7: and I think we've seen that with Tennessee. We've seen
- 11:35Speaker 7: that with Florida, and we've seen that with the elimination
- 11:38Speaker 7: of the state income tax. This is getting money back
- 11:40Speaker 7: into the pockets of hard workers who you know, come
- 11:45Speaker 7: back from work around five five point thirty and they
- 11:48Speaker 7: take care of their kids, get them to bed, and
- 11:50Speaker 7: then they have those hard conversations about finances with their
- 11:53Speaker 7: significant other across the kitchen table. These are the conversations
- 11:58Speaker 7: that I want to help a lead and getting that
- 12:01Speaker 7: money back to them. And I know that there's no
- 12:04Speaker 7: government that's one hundred percent efficient. We can always be better,
- 12:07Speaker 7: and we should always strive to be better, whether whichever
- 12:10Speaker 7: party has been in control. And so I think that
- 12:13Speaker 7: as the state Senator, knowing as a county commissioner where
- 12:15Speaker 7: money goes.
- 12:16Speaker 6: You know, we have a sixty million dollar budget that I.
- 12:19Speaker 7: Help oversee as a county commissioner, especially last year when
- 12:22Speaker 7: I was sitting as Commissioned President.
- 12:23Speaker 6: And I know how the budgets work. I know where
- 12:26Speaker 6: the money goes.
- 12:26Speaker 7: I know where to find those cost saving measures, and
- 12:29Speaker 7: I can ensure you that if I have the pleasure
- 12:32Speaker 7: of being elected by the voters of the eight Senatorial
- 12:35Speaker 7: District to represent them as their state Senator, I'm going
- 12:38Speaker 7: to go through that budget line item by line item,
- 12:40Speaker 7: working with Governor Patrick Morrissey in his office, working with
- 12:43Speaker 7: my colleagues in the Senate and the House, and finding
- 12:46Speaker 7: ways to get the state income tax fully eliminated responsibly.
- 12:52Speaker 3: You seem to be big. It's like the third time
- 12:54Speaker 3: you've mentioned about the state income tax it's something that's
- 12:57Speaker 3: obviously high on your list of priorities.
- 12:59Speaker 7: Well, I think that that should be a top priority
- 13:01Speaker 7: right now, and I think that it's something that we
- 13:03Speaker 7: need to move forward to. We've talked about it for
- 13:05Speaker 7: a long time, and we've made great strides, you know,
- 13:08Speaker 7: And I think that the reasoning that we've been able
- 13:10Speaker 7: to do that is because of the economic growth that
- 13:12Speaker 7: we've seen here in the state of West Virginia and
- 13:14Speaker 7: how much that has done for our people, for businesses.
- 13:19Speaker 7: And we've been responsible in taking that growth and applying
- 13:23Speaker 7: that to reducing the state income tax. But I think
- 13:25Speaker 7: that the growth isn't enough. We have to look at
- 13:29Speaker 7: our own budget and we need to find ways that
- 13:31Speaker 7: we're going to be able to cut that. I know,
- 13:33Speaker 7: with my experience in you know, just the PIA for instance,
- 13:37Speaker 7: at the kind of Commission, I was able to find
- 13:39Speaker 7: four hundred and forty thousand dollars cost savings without affecting
- 13:43Speaker 7: our employees' insurance premiums. I was able to find those
- 13:47Speaker 7: cost savings and just working with my staff, that's the
- 13:50Speaker 7: type of work that I'm going to be doing as
- 13:52Speaker 7: state Senator for our state budget. I think that's important
- 13:55Speaker 7: I think that the economy is important, and I think
- 13:57Speaker 7: getting back.
- 13:58Speaker 6: Into focusing and looking at how can we.
- 14:00Speaker 7: Get businesses here to provide jobs for our citizens, for
- 14:04Speaker 7: our kids' future. I think that's what's important, and I
- 14:06Speaker 7: think that's what we need to do.
- 14:08Speaker 3: The Ad County Commissioner Lance Wheeler, who has just announced
- 14:10Speaker 3: you will be running for state Senate as a Republican
- 14:13Speaker 3: out of a district eight. And this is the seat
- 14:16Speaker 3: that is currently held by Kevin Bartlett. Right, Yes, okay,
- 14:20Speaker 3: all right, appreciate you being here. It's gonna be a
- 14:23Speaker 3: you know, I mean you you're no stranger to campaigns,
- 14:27Speaker 3: but you gotta put some miles on those shoes.
- 14:29Speaker 4: You know.
- 14:30Speaker 3: I'm not sure you're ready to do that.
- 14:32Speaker 7: I am looking forward to meeting the great people of
- 14:35Speaker 7: this a senatorial district and and getting to introduce myself
- 14:38Speaker 7: and showing them why I'm the conservative candidate for this
- 14:41Speaker 7: Senate race. I think that you know, they're going to
- 14:45Speaker 7: see somebody they can relate to, somebody who they can trust,
- 14:48Speaker 7: and somebody that's when a difficult decision comes up for
- 14:52Speaker 7: a vote, they know that I'm going to be making
- 14:55Speaker 7: the decision best for them. Somebody they can reach out
- 14:59Speaker 7: to that will have probably my personal cell phone number.
- 15:02Speaker 7: If I continue this trend as I did as a
- 15:03Speaker 7: count of commissioner, somebody they can have conversations with at Kroger's,
- 15:08Speaker 7: at Low's where I frequent a lot for my wife
- 15:11Speaker 7: and our projects at home. But this is something that
- 15:15Speaker 7: I think that people will be getting excited about just
- 15:19Speaker 7: because I'm going to be a man of the people.
- 15:21Speaker 6: I'm going to listen to you.
- 15:23Speaker 7: We are going to be starting a listening tour going
- 15:25Speaker 7: around to areas I haven't been in because I'm just
- 15:28Speaker 7: a county commissioner right now, and it's just going to
- 15:31Speaker 7: be a tour of just listening, what's going on, what
- 15:33Speaker 7: do you see, and you know what ways can I help.
- 15:35Speaker 7: I think that's what an elected official should be doing.
- 15:38Speaker 7: I think they shouldn't be just staying in one county
- 15:40Speaker 7: only and expecting that's the highest population county, so they're
- 15:44Speaker 7: just going to get the election that way. They need
- 15:46Speaker 7: to be going to every single person because every person,
- 15:49Speaker 7: every vote matters. And that's the type of campaign you're
- 15:52Speaker 7: going to see for me in the next year and

- 20:41Speaker 3: Matt Harridge did indeed announce his resignation as the head
- 20:45Speaker 3: of the party. Did not come as a surprise. He
- 20:47Speaker 3: also serves as the Commerce Secretary for the governor. No
- 20:50Speaker 3: scandal or anything like that. He's just just stepping down.
- 20:53Speaker 3: The party has their convention later this month, and it's
- 20:56Speaker 3: going to be really interesting to see who they name
- 20:58Speaker 3: is chair. I'm told it could be quite contentious. Shortly
- 21:03Speaker 3: after the Matt Harridge resignation, Senator Jim Justice quickly endorsed
- 21:07Speaker 3: Delegate Josh Holstein to be the new chair. I've known
- 21:11Speaker 3: Delegate Holstein for sometime. He's a good guy. He's out

- 21:19Speaker 3: there could be some pretty well known names that are
- 21:22Speaker 3: interested in that, possibly even First Lady Denise Morrissey, who
- 21:26Speaker 3: could be interested. I'm told that. I'm told that interesting

- 21:33Speaker 3: ain't doing buddy, I'm doing great, man. You're looking good.
- 21:36Speaker 3: You're feeling a little under the weather.
- 21:38Speaker 5: When we talked, yeah you okay, now doing a lot better,
- 21:41Speaker 5: or just had an infection, you know O root canal
- 21:44Speaker 5: type of infection, uh huh, and it can really cause
- 21:47Speaker 5: you grief. But I'm in good shape.
- 21:49Speaker 3: We sound great. Come in here. I mean last time
- 21:51Speaker 3: that you were here, I mean you could tell you
- 21:53Speaker 3: weren't quite Danny. You did good, as always did well,
- 21:56Speaker 3: I should say on the air, but you just you
- 21:58Speaker 3: just weren't quite Danny.
- 22:00Speaker 5: You know, it's when you know, so much good comes
- 22:04Speaker 5: out of so much bad, So much bad comes out
- 22:06Speaker 5: of so much good. I don't like President Trump, but
- 22:10Speaker 5: I think he did something really great with that with
- 22:14Speaker 5: the big beautiful bill. No, no, no, with the with the.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Iran Oh okay you yeah, the big beautiful bill.
- 22:25Speaker 5: People say it'll cost people Medicare care. It's not so
- 22:30Speaker 5: much that it'll close small, beautiful hospitals.
- 22:33Speaker 3: There's a lot of a lot of concern for the
- 22:35Speaker 3: medical community here in West Virginia. But there's also those
- 22:38Speaker 3: that would say, Danny, well that it's uh, everybody's saying
- 22:41Speaker 3: the sky is gonna fall. I am more concerned about
- 22:45Speaker 3: the debt and how much money it's going to add
- 22:47Speaker 3: trillions and trillions on to the debt from supposedly the
- 22:51Speaker 3: party that that was going to battle the debt. Well,
- 22:54Speaker 3: you just added between three to five trillion dollars onto it.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Did you say, Sence your gold water? That was his,
- 23:02Speaker 5: that was his, That was him.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I just when he ran.
- 23:06Speaker 5: Against President Johnson. I mean that was you can listen
- 23:09Speaker 5: to that speech. It's on YouTube.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, So you're you're big concern with the big
- 23:13Speaker 3: beautiful bill though, was the possibility of hospitals closed because
- 23:16Speaker 3: they're already having issues getting Medicaid Medicare reimbursements.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Now mainly Medicaid. It was when I mean Thomas, you know,
- 23:28Speaker 5: they defaulted on their bonds and I was alerted early.
- 23:33Speaker 5: I had seventy five thousand dollars worth of bonds and
- 23:36Speaker 5: I had to take a ten thousand dollars hit, but
- 23:38Speaker 5: I would have gotten nothing Fairmount Steam State Hospital sixty
- 23:42Speaker 5: thousand dollars. I mean, you think you get these high
- 23:47Speaker 5: pat reductile interist rates and it it can be pretty painful.
- 23:54Speaker 5: And then the reason we have such could help at
- 23:57Speaker 5: the VA and hunting, and it's because the Ashland Hospital
- 24:01Speaker 5: went out.
- 24:03Speaker 3: You mentioned iron you think again, it's been a while
- 24:07Speaker 3: since you've been on the show, so you're obviously in
- 24:10Speaker 3: favor of I mean, I don't know anybody that's not
- 24:14Speaker 3: I mean to be. There's a few here and there,
- 24:16Speaker 3: but for the most part, I don't know anybody, but
- 24:17Speaker 3: it's not.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Yeah, President next would say it was immoral, but not
- 24:21Speaker 5: doing it had been more immoral, but it was it was.
- 24:26Speaker 5: I mean, it was the worst kind of excitement. I mean,
- 24:31Speaker 5: I got up and saw, you know, the differences in
- 24:35Speaker 5: people's opinion that are flocking to each side. Is Bill Lackman,
- 24:42Speaker 5: you know, Wall Street guy, hardcore Democrat right now, he's
- 24:48Speaker 5: the leader against Tarvard, right. I mean, it's it's really
- 24:53Speaker 5: amazing to watch.
- 24:55Speaker 3: I mean, I don't think anybody, regardless of whether you white,
- 24:59Speaker 3: President Trump or not, I don't think anybody is going
- 25:02Speaker 3: to say the world is a worse place with Iran
- 25:06Speaker 3: not having nuclear weapons. The question is, though, is that
- 25:09Speaker 3: there seems to be some disagreement as to how much
- 25:13Speaker 3: how much damage we actually did and he says the
- 25:15Speaker 3: President said, and others said, we totally obliterated Iran and
- 25:19Speaker 3: their capabilities. Others have said it two months they're back
- 25:22Speaker 3: where they were before. I don't know which side is you.
- 25:26Speaker 3: You follow this stuff a lot more close to where
- 25:28Speaker 3: are you?
- 25:28Speaker 5: No, I'm I'm, I'm. We didn't get at all. But
- 25:32Speaker 5: if we delayed it by a year, we delayed it
- 25:33Speaker 5: by a year, I mean, and that was known that morning.
- 25:37Speaker 5: The New York Times wrote it, and I was, you know,
- 25:40Speaker 5: texting and talking and they, oh, it's in New York Times.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Well they're not always wrong.
- 25:44Speaker 3: No, no, they're not. There's I mean, they're not.
- 25:47Speaker 5: Uh, There's is a great newspaper, David Well.
- 25:51Speaker 3: I read it, and I appreciate to appreciate you helping
- 25:54Speaker 3: me read it, but by gifting me a subscription to it.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I'm talking about Texas.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Tell Danny that Thomas defaulted on their bonds because of
- 26:02Speaker 3: twenty years of gross mis management not adequate reimbursement by
- 26:05Speaker 3: the government.
- 26:06Speaker 5: Okay, the life's complicated, but I think it was both.

- 26:44Speaker 3: kind of laugh. You said, I've got stories, so we
- 26:47Speaker 3: want stories. What can you tell us on the air?
- 26:50Speaker 5: Yesterday? I was in in my car. Everybody knows where
- 26:54Speaker 5: my car parks, and I just got done in my
- 26:57Speaker 5: car right there in front of the QD. Yeah, and
- 27:00Speaker 5: there's four people across the street, David. People pretend they
- 27:06Speaker 5: don't recognize me, but they recognize me. If you don't
- 27:09Speaker 5: recognize me, you're not from Charleston, West Virginia. And so
- 27:15Speaker 5: I said, can I help You said, we're trying to
- 27:17Speaker 5: figure out Los Angeles? What? What is all they sell?
- 27:19Speaker 11: Are?
- 27:20Speaker 5: Wow? That's neat. Then they walked over to talk to
- 27:23Speaker 5: me and I found out it was General Governor Morrisey's
- 27:28Speaker 5: new appointment to be as in General. And he said
- 27:34Speaker 5: he from Wow, And I said, wow, My biggest mentor
- 27:38Speaker 5: in life was Jerry Spence. You practiced in Jackson Hall
- 27:42Speaker 5: And he said, yeah, I'm practiced in Jackson Hall. I
- 27:44Speaker 5: knew him well. I said, wow, and they he said
- 27:50Speaker 5: that we heard that you all have a homeless problem.
- 27:55Speaker 5: We've always had a homeless problem. And I think he
- 27:59Speaker 5: figured out by that time who I was. And he says, yeah.
- 28:02Speaker 5: They said there was a great mayor here for a
- 28:04Speaker 5: long time, and and once he left, the homeless probably exacerbated.
- 28:12Speaker 5: And I said, of course that time, I'm looking up
- 28:14Speaker 5: in the sky and smiling. And he says so. I said,
- 28:18Speaker 5: that's not true, but thank you. And he says, you're
- 28:22Speaker 5: Mayor Danny Jones. I said yeah. He said, well, I'm
- 28:25Speaker 5: here to adg in general. I said. I told him
- 28:28Speaker 5: I was in the Marine Corps in Vietnam got drafted,
- 28:30Speaker 5: which he had hard time. He struggled with that. It
- 28:34Speaker 5: was a wonderful conversation, but I had to tell him
- 28:37Speaker 5: we've always we've had a homeless problem for fifty years.
- 28:42Speaker 5: I walked down with my father down Summer Street. Summer
- 28:45Speaker 5: Street used to be real roughed, and I would see
- 28:49Speaker 5: these men on walkers with their cups out trying to
- 28:52Speaker 5: get if they got a coin, they were lucky. And
- 28:55Speaker 5: I asked my dad, I said, what's wrong? With now
- 28:57Speaker 5: they probably got hurt in the war. And I said,
- 28:59Speaker 5: can I put money in there? And he looked at me. Okay.
- 29:03Speaker 5: I had a pocket poll of change and it was
- 29:07Speaker 5: I mean, this city has changed so much.
- 29:11Speaker 3: For the better for the worst.
- 29:13Speaker 5: Both. I think that's fair for a guy like me,
- 29:17Speaker 5: for a guy like me and Jerry Waters.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I think that's uh, I think it's probably fair. You know,
- 29:23Speaker 3: last week on the show, I had the Mayor of
- 29:25Speaker 3: Clarksburg on come we on the mid day show, we
- 29:27Speaker 3: do a save called Mayor Monday, and I had the
- 29:29Speaker 3: Mayor of Clarksburg. I didn't ask him what his lineage was.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Now you asked me too quick, Danny, I'll get it
- 29:37Speaker 3: for you. He was on the should He made quite
- 29:38Speaker 3: an impression. But I forgot his name already, but he
- 29:40Speaker 3: was the mayor of Clarksburg. I'll get it for you here,
- 29:43Speaker 3: but uh talk about I'll get it. I'll get it
- 29:48Speaker 3: here for you. But anyway, he was talking about the
- 29:51Speaker 3: homeless issue, uh in in Clarksburg, and he he kind
- 29:56Speaker 3: of reminded me of some of the things he was
- 30:00Speaker 3: saying of you, because I mean he sounded to be
- 30:04Speaker 3: pretty hardcore about the homeless issue. And about tent cities
- 30:09Speaker 3: and things of that nature, and about flying drones over
- 30:11Speaker 3: top of them to see him. And he said, I mean,
- 30:13Speaker 3: I didn't really. When I do these segments, Danny, I
- 30:16Speaker 3: don't particularly it's not hard hitting stuff. I just go
- 30:19Speaker 3: in what's going on in your town and you know,
- 30:20Speaker 3: that sort of thing. And he's the one that brought
- 30:24Speaker 3: it up. I said, you know, I said, ask him
- 30:26Speaker 3: something about some of the pros and constant. He said, well,
- 30:29Speaker 3: we have a huge homeless issue. And he talked about
- 30:32Speaker 3: the tent cities and things that they have in Clarksburg,
- 30:34Speaker 3: and he said, as soon as we see him, we
- 30:36Speaker 3: tear him down. And it kind of reminded me. You
- 30:38Speaker 3: and I didn't really know each other that well at
- 30:40Speaker 3: the time, but some of the things that you did
- 30:42Speaker 3: and that you talked.
- 30:43Speaker 5: About, Yeah, probably overreacted.
- 30:46Speaker 3: But you think you overreacted.
- 30:50Speaker 5: I think that's something that citizens Charleston decided. I didn't
- 30:54Speaker 5: because they re elected me. But it was it was tough.
- 30:59Speaker 5: It was really tough. What happened when that place under
- 31:03Speaker 5: the bridge over there by Pigley Wigglely, I mean Pickley
- 31:07Speaker 5: Wiggly was their leakage. I think it went up to
- 31:09Speaker 5: about ten percent.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Jim Malfrajoe was his name. Malfrajoe is his name. That's
- 31:19Speaker 3: his name. That's his name.
- 31:20Speaker 5: There we go.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Yeah, and actually somebody else just texted me that, Yeah,
- 31:23Speaker 3: that's that's the that's the name. I completely forgot it
- 31:27Speaker 3: in the last week. If you had to do it
- 31:30Speaker 3: over again, you said you overreacted, would you would you
- 31:34Speaker 3: do it over again the way you handle the homeless issue.
- 31:36Speaker 5: Yeah. If I have the biggest regret I have about
- 31:40Speaker 5: being mayor's the guns.
- 31:44Speaker 3: Talk about that.
- 31:44Speaker 5: Well, because people that are opposed to he in the
- 31:49Speaker 5: biggest way will just distort it in the biggest way.
- 31:52Speaker 5: And I was talking about the Martin Luther King Center. Yeah,
- 31:56Speaker 5: that's it. Yeah, because that's what they put guns where
- 31:59Speaker 5: there's a school. And we couldn't have done anything about
- 32:03Speaker 5: it unless I had sued personally because the city can't
- 32:07Speaker 5: sue the state because we're creature of the state.
- 32:09Speaker 3: I remember that story well, and what what year was
- 32:11Speaker 3: that I wasn't doing this show, Uh, but I remember
- 32:17Speaker 3: it would being a big controversy because you just didn't
- 32:19Speaker 3: want guns in the community center. And before you know it,
- 32:22Speaker 3: you've become the most anti gun person on the face
- 32:24Speaker 3: of the earth, the way that it was, the way
- 32:27Speaker 3: that it was presented to.
- 32:28Speaker 5: People, Danny Bloomberg, which if I was against me, I'd
- 32:32Speaker 5: done pretty close the same thing. We would not have
- 32:35Speaker 5: won that case had Keith Morgan's group not suits because
- 32:40Speaker 5: he's very litigious. And I remember they they were they
- 32:45Speaker 5: they were every single precinct, you know, trying to beat
- 32:49Speaker 5: me that day, and his son was out there and
- 32:52Speaker 5: I felt so bad. I said, you're you're out in
- 32:54Speaker 5: front of the high school. I want to And then
- 32:57Speaker 5: I went around the corner and he pointed to his father,

- 36:14Speaker 3: not the major problem. I didn't. I don't think I
- 36:16Speaker 3: did say it was a major problem. Did I say
- 36:18Speaker 3: it was a major problem? The or the No, it
- 36:21Speaker 3: is a major problem. I don't think. Is it the
- 36:22Speaker 3: biggest problem? No, I don't know.
- 36:24Speaker 5: I think the biggest problem was the needles. Yeah.
- 36:27Speaker 3: So you got a project you're working on. After telling
- 36:31Speaker 3: me on this show a couple of years ago, I
- 36:33Speaker 3: asked you had you ever considered writing a book? And
- 36:37Speaker 3: you said no, And by golly, you're writing a book.
- 36:41Speaker 5: And to write. After that, Charlie Ryan called.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Me, okay, So, so talk about the process of writing
- 36:48Speaker 3: this book. What all is going to be in it?
- 36:49Speaker 3: What's not going to be in it?
- 36:50Speaker 5: Uh?
- 36:51Speaker 3: Spill it, man.
- 36:52Speaker 5: I'm spending a lot of time in my apartment, you know,
- 36:55Speaker 5: typing and because I'm very slow, and it's the most
- 37:02Speaker 5: exciting thing I've ever done.
- 37:03Speaker 3: So is it basically just your your autobiography or I
- 37:06Speaker 3: mean just by the whole life, just the political side.
- 37:09Speaker 5: Lots of pictures, okay, there'll be so many illustrations in
- 37:13Speaker 5: this book.
- 37:14Speaker 3: And uh, similar to the pictures you had when you
- 37:16Speaker 3: had your restaurant downtown.
- 37:18Speaker 5: M A lot younger, okay, you know, and as many
- 37:23Speaker 5: of my relistives and friends as they can get in it. Okay,
- 37:27Speaker 5: you know, you know, George Jarrett and Otis and folks.
- 37:32Speaker 5: And I remember first time Hobby heard Don March mentioned Otis,
- 37:39Speaker 5: he thought he was joking and he didn't know how
- 37:41Speaker 5: important Otis was to this community.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Yeah. So when's it going to be done? You think?
- 37:47Speaker 5: He said by December? Okay, but we'll see.
- 37:50Speaker 3: What is your writing process? Like I always like to
- 37:53Speaker 3: ask authors this, whether they're a newspaper columnists or novelist,
- 37:56Speaker 3: when they do you just sit down or do you
- 37:58Speaker 3: walk around with the legal path had writing stuff?
- 38:00Speaker 4: Down.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Do you sit down behind a computer or tie? I mean,
- 38:03Speaker 3: how does Danny write?
- 38:04Speaker 5: Not since I was in theater, Okay, I mean David.
- 38:08Speaker 5: I never after I was in theater. I never made
- 38:11Speaker 5: a written speech. I was so much better when I
- 38:14Speaker 5: just winged it. Yeah, I remember walking there was a
- 38:18Speaker 5: black female sorority in the Marriotte. I had no idea
- 38:23Speaker 5: what was going to say to a turn the hand
- 38:24Speaker 5: on the knob. I saw those folks and boom, what'd
- 38:28Speaker 5: you say to him? Humor? I can't exactly remember, but
- 38:33Speaker 5: and humor is risky.
- 38:36Speaker 3: It trusts me, it's risky. No, but Dave Island showing

- 38:49Speaker 3: start out with like little Danny as a kid and
- 38:52Speaker 3: work your way up?
- 38:52Speaker 5: Or yeah? I was a I was so you know
- 38:56Speaker 5: my descendant shore on the Mayflower. I had more descendants
- 38:58Speaker 5: on the Mayflower than any.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Where's your family from originally?
- 39:03Speaker 5: Hmmm, well England and Wales, Well England, that bunch.
- 39:11Speaker 3: So when when you sit down and you start, you've
- 39:15Speaker 3: got a good story to tell, do you question, Okay,
- 39:18Speaker 3: maybe I shouldn't put this in here, Maybe I should
- 39:21Speaker 3: change the names because a lot of times people will
- 39:22Speaker 3: do that. They do composite characters, you know, to represent
- 39:26Speaker 3: your your friends growing up. You have a friend named
- 39:28Speaker 3: Billy who may or may not have existed, but you
- 39:30Speaker 3: can put all those different traits on this one character.
- 39:32Speaker 3: How do you do it?
- 39:33Speaker 5: Oh, it's uh, well, it's a compositive things and it's
- 39:37Speaker 5: in my head and it's one time when I was
- 39:41Speaker 5: in Niger, you know, I wrote all those commercials and
- 39:45Speaker 5: I was laying in bed at night and I thought
- 39:47Speaker 5: about pushing baby back ribs because anything else, they're not
- 39:52Speaker 5: really ribs, you know, pork baby back ribs. And I
- 39:55Speaker 5: thought talked about so many restaurants that were pushing ribs
- 40:00Speaker 5: that didn't sell real ribs. And I said, if you
- 40:03Speaker 5: go to a restaurant, order baby back ribs and if
- 40:08Speaker 5: they don't have it, try some other item on the menu,
- 40:11Speaker 5: or try the restaurant. Than in nineteen ninety one, in
- 40:14Speaker 5: nineteen ninety two, so more baby back ribs than any
- 40:17Speaker 5: restaurant in West Virginia and that place to go is
- 40:20Speaker 5: in nctron.
- 40:22Speaker 3: What is it about baby back ribs that make them
- 40:24Speaker 3: so much better?
- 40:25Speaker 5: You know, the density of the closeness of the bone
- 40:29Speaker 5: to the meat.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Okay, all right, so you're gonna put recipes in this
- 40:33Speaker 3: book too, or you talk about you got to talk
- 40:35Speaker 3: about your time in the restaurant.
- 40:36Speaker 5: That'll be the next book.
- 40:37Speaker 3: Okay. So you went from not writing a book at
- 40:40Speaker 3: all to writing now like a like a series of books.
- 40:45Speaker 5: Is there any as much information I can get out there?
- 40:48Speaker 5: Life for is about trying to affect as many people
- 40:53Speaker 5: as you can affect in our life, trying to make
- 40:54Speaker 5: the biggest mark we can make.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Were there things when you you were setting down to
- 41:01Speaker 3: write that you thought better leave that out?
- 41:04Speaker 5: Well? Not very much. I mean, I'm pretty you know,
- 41:06Speaker 5: Hoppy said you're pretty bad.
- 41:09Speaker 3: I mean, that's one of the one things I appreciate
- 41:11Speaker 3: about you in our friendship is that you you don't
- 41:16Speaker 3: take yourself so seriously all the time I've said about myself,
- 41:20Speaker 3: nobody makes fun to Dave more than Dave makes fun
- 41:22Speaker 3: to Dave. And I and I and I kind of
- 41:24Speaker 3: like there's probably a reason on a psychologist would have
- 41:26Speaker 3: a field day with that, I guess or whatever. Uh,
- 41:29Speaker 3: but uh, I just wondered, because you have led a very,
- 41:33Speaker 3: very storied life. I mean the stories that you have
- 41:36Speaker 3: told me, and you know, since we've in the in
- 41:40Speaker 3: the past few years we've known each other, some of them,
- 41:43Speaker 3: I'm thinking, he may I want to put that one
- 41:45Speaker 3: in the book, Danny.
- 41:47Speaker 5: No, it's well, obviously, you know, like I said, truth
- 41:50Speaker 5: needs to be beautiful. And but one example, you know,
- 41:57Speaker 5: when I was racing it in April nineteen sixty nine,
- 42:00Speaker 5: I was eighteen years old and I was running that
- 42:03Speaker 5: nomad down at Winfield and a guy ran me and
- 42:06Speaker 5: he got he I mean I didn't lose any race.
- 42:10Speaker 5: I only ross in the eliminations and I crossed the
- 42:14Speaker 5: finish line and because that left lane had a dipend
- 42:18Speaker 5: once I was very aware of, he went off the
- 42:20Speaker 5: side of the track and he died. I mean, it's
- 42:24Speaker 5: tough stuff.
- 42:26Speaker 3: How'd that affect you?
- 42:28Speaker 5: Not so much in the beginning, but you know, at
- 42:31Speaker 5: that time, I was the talk of all the white
- 42:32Speaker 5: barber shops. And it's in that Three Things if you
- 42:38Speaker 5: want to watch it on Facebook. But it's it was
- 42:45Speaker 5: pretty dramatic.
- 42:47Speaker 3: Did you ever ever, I mean you were served in
- 42:50Speaker 3: the House of course, you was sheriff, mayor multiple times.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Did you ever think about running for governor or maybe
- 42:56Speaker 3: maybe senate or or.
- 42:58Speaker 5: Lots of pressure to run for governor? I mean I'm
- 43:01Speaker 5: an entrepreneur, so uh and some people that you know,
- 43:06Speaker 5: you don't think they liked you. Otis called me. Of
- 43:09Speaker 5: all people, explain who Otis is? Yeah, I mean my my,
- 43:14Speaker 5: my middle son's named after him. His mental name is.
- 43:17Speaker 5: His name is Jared Lowry Jones.
- 43:20Speaker 3: But but people called you and wanted you to run
- 43:22Speaker 3: for governor.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Unbelievable amount of people. And Joe was already governor and
- 43:27Speaker 5: I and you know, I knew he was aware of it.
- 43:30Speaker 5: And he came up. You know, Joe'll go anywhere, Joe
- 43:33Speaker 5: talking about yes, and we he came up to the
- 43:35Speaker 5: third floor Cityhill. We go into our new council meeting
- 43:39Speaker 5: room and only the press and two other people were there.
- 43:43Speaker 5: And I said, let me make this very clear. I
- 43:47Speaker 5: don't want his job and he doesn't want mine. The
- 43:50Speaker 5: most important thing that we can do are the things

- 47:21Speaker 5: It's not as bad as you say as you think
- 47:22Speaker 5: it is, because it's coming in from the outside and

- 47:34Speaker 5: I had some real help of Reverend Ealy and JB

- 47:46Speaker 3: I want to I want to talk to you about

- 47:52Speaker 3: us for a couple of weeks. Uh. Of course we've
- 47:54Speaker 3: talked about the big beautiful bill, but also More Capital,
- 47:59Speaker 3: You're a good friend, has been potentially is going to
- 48:02Speaker 3: be the new attorney for the Southern District. The timing
- 48:05Speaker 3: of that though, I mean, here's what I said about it,
- 48:09Speaker 3: and I'm gonna get your reaction because people said, well,
- 48:11Speaker 3: Shelley Moore Capito sold out whatever for her son to
- 48:13Speaker 3: get that appointment. Number two things, Shelley Moore Capital was
- 48:16Speaker 3: always a yes vote on that. If she didn't have
- 48:18Speaker 3: a son named more Capital, she's a yes vote on that.
- 48:21Speaker 3: And more Capital. This has been This was like the
- 48:23Speaker 3: worst kept secret in the world. This has been talked
- 48:25Speaker 3: about for six months or more that President Trump was
- 48:28Speaker 3: going to try to get him that position. I mean,
- 48:31Speaker 3: there's no quid pro quo here. In my opinion.
- 48:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, obviously she you know, we live in
- 48:38Speaker 5: pretty frightening political times, and Shelley's healing and she's a
- 48:44Speaker 5: great senator. And I posted about that now but big news.
- 48:48Speaker 5: That's all I said in the article. And then, oh
- 48:51Speaker 5: my goodness, they came after me. And finally I waited
- 48:55Speaker 5: a day to respond, but.
- 48:58Speaker 3: You agreed with me. I mean that that both those
- 49:01Speaker 3: things were going to happen no matter what.
- 49:03Speaker 5: Sure, And what people don't know is it was Don
- 49:05Speaker 5: Junior that kept More from being governor in what way? Well,
- 49:09Speaker 5: this PR guy made a post negative called Shelley rhino
- 49:13Speaker 5: and that was it for more.
- 49:16Speaker 3: We hear that term rhino thrown out there, kidding all
- 49:20Speaker 3: of the time. And I had somebody, of course, on
- 49:25Speaker 3: as I mentioned earlier on Saturday, the head of the
- 49:29Speaker 3: Republican Party in the state, Matt Harry's, resigned.
- 49:32Speaker 5: What a nice guy, very nice guy, very nice guy.
- 49:34Speaker 3: And he handled it, you know. I mean, my dealings
- 49:36Speaker 3: with him have always been great. But somebody commented when
- 49:41Speaker 3: we shared the story that we that they hoe and
- 49:43Speaker 3: I'm kind of paraphrasing here, we hope that we get
- 49:46Speaker 3: a real Republican as the head of the party. Well,
- 49:49Speaker 3: number one, you're not going to get a Democrat. You know,
- 49:51Speaker 3: Pushkin's not going to come in and run the Republican Party.
- 49:53Speaker 3: But I think what they were alluding to was we
- 49:56Speaker 3: don't want a rhino in there. We don't want to rhino.
- 49:59Speaker 3: I That term just bothers me for some reason, because
- 50:03Speaker 3: it's like somebody decided that you are not you, but
- 50:07Speaker 3: you are the decider of what a true Republican.
- 50:11Speaker 5: Yeah, and Hoppy and and I we were called that
- 50:17Speaker 5: incessantly and we're not Republicans. I got out of the
- 50:22Speaker 5: party because of that.
- 50:23Speaker 3: When did you leave the Republican.
- 50:24Speaker 5: In twenty sixteen, when Trump I started taking Trump seriously,
- 50:29Speaker 5: he was so incredibly funny until that gathering down in Mobile.
- 50:35Speaker 3: What happened in the gathering Mobile.
- 50:37Speaker 5: Well, I mean there's supposed to have six hundred people,
- 50:39Speaker 5: thirty thousand showed up, and I said, whoa this this year?
- 50:41Speaker 5: And Jeff Sessions of all people, endorsed him first United
- 50:45Speaker 5: States Senator.
- 50:47Speaker 3: If you saw the post that the President put on
- 50:50Speaker 3: truth Social yesterday, and I shared it on the day
- 50:55Speaker 3: Vali radio page and also on my on my page.
- 51:00Speaker 3: I there's two schools of thought here, I have Greg
- 51:03Speaker 3: Thomas on the show. Greg Thomas says, well, he knows
- 51:05Speaker 3: that people thinks he's crazy. He just does that as
- 51:08Speaker 3: a diversion. He's really really not possibly something to be
- 51:11Speaker 3: said for that. But I for one wish our president,
- 51:16Speaker 3: no matter who it is, would go off social media.
- 51:18Speaker 3: They have no business being on there, and it makes
- 51:19Speaker 3: it just makes him look stupid. Now, I'd say the
- 51:21Speaker 3: same thing if it worked, especially if it were Biden
- 51:25Speaker 3: your your thoughts on that.
- 51:26Speaker 5: That's how he crowds his space. That's how he fills
- 51:29Speaker 5: up his space. And Eric and I when I was
- 51:31Speaker 5: working here, Eric and I talked about because Eric really
- 51:34Speaker 5: liked it, and my, uh my, he puts everything in
- 51:40Speaker 5: cats and we figured out he was always misspelling words
- 51:45Speaker 5: on purpose. Trump Oh yeah, yeah, I mean he was then.
- 51:49Speaker 5: He probably not now, but he did.
- 51:52Speaker 3: And the capitalization and you know, that's the that's I mean,
- 51:55Speaker 3: capitalizing words and aren't supposed to capitalized that sort of thing.
- 51:58Speaker 3: But look, it doesn't affect his base at all. I mean,
- 52:00Speaker 3: I mean, they're I mean and that and that and
- 52:02Speaker 3: that's that's they're right.
- 52:03Speaker 5: It's getting closer. Epstein is a big deal.
- 52:06Speaker 3: All right, quickly Epstein. Oh shoot, you scared me when
- 52:10Speaker 3: you said that, Danny. No, Professor, Professor Dervisher Witz. Uh huh.
- 52:14Speaker 5: He's getting his statement. You know, he's one of the
- 52:17Speaker 5: smartest people in the world. All right, what a great man.
- 52:20Speaker 3: All right, so the Epstein list, Oh that looks it
- 52:23Speaker 3: looks bad on the president. Oh my goodness, Yes, I agree, Danny.
- 52:27Speaker 3: It's always a pleasure. I can't wait to have this book. Man.
- 52:29Speaker 5: All right, we're working on it. It'll be a while,
- 52:31Speaker 5: but we're working by Christmas. Maybe, well that'd be my
- 52:35Speaker 5: Christmas President.
- 52:36Speaker 3: There you go. All right, we'll talk to you next week.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Former Charleston Mayor Danny Jones, Rick Cavantur can on a
