This one begins with what happened after.

In the winter of 1911, a family is forced to spend the night in a remote farmhouse with the body of a man who had died only hours earlier. Outside, a snowstorm cuts them off from town. Inside, the house begins to sound strangely familiar.

Because someone upstairs seems to be following the same nightly routine the dead man had followed for years.

Was it simply an old house settling in the cold? Or was William not quite ready to leave the home he had built?
