- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Now nine till noon weekdays. On 710WOR. Guest hosting for
- 0:07Speaker 2: Mark today. Here's Ken Rosato. And a very happy Friday
- 0:12Speaker 2: of Labor Day weekend. Good to be with you. Let's
- 0:14Speaker 2: go to the busy phones, and they are busy right now.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Good morning, Vincent.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Can you hear me, Ken?
- 0:20Speaker 2: Yes, sir. All right, Ken.
- 0:22Speaker 1: About 65 years ago, this woman who lived next door
- 0:25Speaker 1: to us She gave birth to her second child, and
- 0:30Speaker 1: then shortly thereafter, she lived in a family building with
- 0:34Speaker 1: other siblings. Her siblings noticed that something was off. The
- 0:38Speaker 1: woman became withdrawn. She wouldn't go out. She always looked
- 0:43Speaker 1: like she was sad. So they took her to see
- 0:47Speaker 1: a psych and everything, and she was judged as having
- 0:51Speaker 1: postpartum depression. Now, maybe she also... suffered from depression beforehand,
- 0:57Speaker 1: but this manifested itself after her second child. And luckily,
- 1:03Speaker 1: she did get help, and it took several years of
- 1:07Speaker 1: therapy and help, also from a loving family. And she
- 1:14Speaker 1: eventually was well again. She snapped out of it, but
- 1:20Speaker 1: she didn't try and assassinate her children and everything, and
- 1:25Speaker 1: she did the heavy lifting. She did the work. She
- 1:29Speaker 1: went to therapy. And, in fact, at one point she
- 1:32Speaker 1: was so, initially when she was diagnosed, she was like
- 1:37Speaker 1: practically catatonic, and they hospitalized her for a couple of
- 1:41Speaker 1: weeks just, I guess, to stabilize her. But with the
- 1:46Speaker 1: love of her family, and she did the heavy lifting,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and she was all right. I believe this woman in Boston,
- 1:56Speaker 1: this young lady, should spend the rest of her life
- 2:01Speaker 1: in a mental institution for the criminally insane. Because whether
- 2:06Speaker 1: she had depression beforehand or this was postpartum depression, the
- 2:11Speaker 1: fact is, after she tried to kill herself, when she
- 2:14Speaker 1: awoke in the hospital, when she woke up, she said,
- 2:18Speaker 1: do I need a lawyer? That's what she said. Now.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That sounds like it's premeditated to me. The fact that
- 2:26Speaker 1: you sent your husband out on errands long enough so
- 2:31Speaker 1: that you could get a Pilates band and wrap it
- 2:33Speaker 1: around your kid's neck. I mean, that has to be
- 2:36Speaker 1: that's got to be the coolest thing in the world.
- 2:39Speaker 2: And I just want to jump in, Vincent, because Kathy
- 2:41Speaker 2: from North Carolina did have a good point that postpartum
- 2:44Speaker 2: depression is different from postpartum psychosis, which is what they're claiming.
- 2:48Speaker 2: And postpartum, I'm just going to read from the interwebs.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It says here, postpartum psychosis is a rare, severe medical
- 2:55Speaker 2: emergency involving a loss of touch with reality, whereas postpartum
- 2:59Speaker 2: depression is more common mood disorder marked by prolonged sadness
- 3:03Speaker 2: and anxiety without detachment from reality. So The question is,
- 3:07Speaker 2: did she have postpartum psychosis in which she did not
- 3:11Speaker 2: have touch with reality? And I see your point. Your
- 3:13Speaker 2: point is, well, if she lost touch with reality... How
- 3:16Speaker 2: could she do what she did in terms of sending
- 3:18Speaker 2: her husband out to get the.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Exactly. That's where the premeditated part comes in. And by
- 3:24Speaker 1: the way, about the yarmulkes, about 20 years ago, I
- 3:27Speaker 1: went to a Jewish wedding. It wasn't Orthodox, but they
- 3:32Speaker 1: were conservative Jews. And adjacent to the reception hall was
- 3:39Speaker 1: the shul. And as the people were walking in, as
- 3:42Speaker 1: the men were walking in, A rabbi goes to hand
- 3:45Speaker 1: me a yarmulke, and I turned to him and I said,
- 3:47Speaker 1: I'm Christian. And I was not going to put on,
- 3:51Speaker 1: you know, just like I wouldn't expect somebody to hang
- 3:54Speaker 1: a cross around their neck if they went in.
- 3:56Speaker 2: And I think most, they know that too. I mean,
- 3:58Speaker 2: I don't, I know a bunch of rabbis having, you know,
- 4:01Speaker 2: done interfaith weddings with them and things like that when
- 4:04Speaker 2: I was functioning as a priest. And I don't know
- 4:06Speaker 2: a rabbi that would ever, ever force you to wear that.
- 4:09Speaker 2: You know, it's entirely on you.
- 4:12Speaker 1: About 65 years ago, the first one in my family,
- 4:17Speaker 1: my cousin Richard, married a woman who was Jewish. And
- 4:21Speaker 1: that day, we went and celebrated first in a church,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and then we went to a synagogue to celebrate the
- 4:29Speaker 1: union of my cousin and his bride. It was the
- 4:32Speaker 1: greatest thing in the world. Temples are gorgeous.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Some of the temples in New York are just beautiful. Oh,
- 4:38Speaker 2: my gosh.
- 4:38Speaker 1: We have.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And we've... And Christians, in many cases, have never been
- 4:43Speaker 2: in a temple. When you go in a temple, you
- 4:45Speaker 2: realize where Christianity gets its foundation from. And you go, oh,
- 4:49Speaker 2: this is where it all comes from.
- 4:50Speaker 1: People forget Jesus was born a Jew.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Absolutely. All right, my friend Vincent, have a good Labor
- 4:55Speaker 2: Day weekend.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Have a great weekend, Ken.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Always a pleasure.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Enjoy yourself, and great speaking to you as always, and
- 5:00Speaker 1: I love the show when you sit in for Mark.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Thank you. But I'm like you. I still prefer listening
- 5:05Speaker 2: to Mark. I listen every day, and I hear you
- 5:08Speaker 2: on with Mark every day and get a kick out
- 5:09Speaker 2: of the fact that I get to talk to you.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Well, I appreciate you very much, Ken.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I appreciate it. I appreciate you being there for Mark.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Thank you so much, my friend. Vincent, have a good weekend.
- 5:17Speaker 1: You too. Thank you.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Let's go over to Joe in Elmwood Park. Hello, Joe.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Good morning and happy.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Labor Day weekend. Vincent's right on again, as usual. You
- 5:25Speaker 3: mean to tell me if somebody proves that our election
- 5:28Speaker 3: wasn't legit, they'll get chastised? And how many illegals is
- 5:34Speaker 3: Mickey Shirley going to take in her house?
- 5:36Speaker 2: Well, number two, zero is the answer for that. And
- 5:39Speaker 2: number one, no, I think I get what your point is.
- 5:42Speaker 2: It's not a matter of if it wasn't legit, because
- 5:44Speaker 2: it may, you know, who knows if it was or wasn't. Look,
- 5:47Speaker 2: the fact is we just found that there were hundreds
- 5:50Speaker 2: of people, at least, that we know for a fact voted,
- 5:52Speaker 2: we don't know which election, but did vote in New Jersey.
- 5:55Speaker 2: We know that. So that's why I'm so tired of reading...
- 5:58Speaker 2: When certain publications love to say, with absolutely no evidence
- 6:02Speaker 2: at all that there was any illicit voting. Yeah, no,
- 6:04Speaker 2: there is evidence. Now we have the governor of New Jersey,
- 6:07Speaker 2: a liberal Democrat, acknowledging hundreds of people who should not
- 6:10Speaker 2: have voted did register and they did vote. Thousands registered.
- 6:14Speaker 3: And when is Mark Wayne Mullen and Army Dillon and...
- 6:18Speaker 3: Nick Shirley, come in here.
- 6:19Speaker 2: We're still waiting. You don't know that they're not working
- 6:22Speaker 2: on it right now. I mean, the fact is, look,
- 6:24Speaker 2: that we've had in New York State alone, the fact
- 6:27Speaker 2: that they removed thousands, over 3,000 illegals who had criminal records.
- 6:33Speaker 2: And I think most people still do want anyone who's
- 6:37Speaker 2: here illegally to be removed if you voted for Trump.
- 6:41Speaker 2: But I think everybody, even if you didn't vote for Trump,
- 6:44Speaker 2: you want people who are criminals. to be gone no
- 6:47Speaker 2: matter if they're legal or not you just want them
- 6:49Speaker 2: off the streets so anyone who says oh no i
- 6:52Speaker 2: don't understand someone who would want uh... somebody who's a
- 6:55Speaker 2: criminal off the streets unless they're here illegally then they
- 6:57Speaker 2: could stay even if they're a criminal that doesn't make
- 6:59Speaker 2: sense to me i don't know but uh... joe enjoy
- 7:02Speaker 2: your labor day weekend always a pleasure talking to you
- 7:04Speaker 2: bet have a good time eight hundred three two one
- 7:07Speaker 2: zero seven ten eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 7:10Speaker 2: ten is the number to call and coming up in
- 7:13Speaker 2: not just ten minutes we're gonna speak with attorney Imran Ansari,
- 7:16Speaker 2: friend of mine, actually my own attorney, regarding the Lindsay
- 7:20Speaker 2: Clancy trial. And he will give us some insight that
- 7:23Speaker 2: maybe many of us don't have.
