- 0:58Speaker 4: Go check them out in La Paz, Louisiana. Did Marla
- 1:03Speaker 4: get to hear the robot phone?
- 1:05Speaker 6: I did, actually. I was wondering if it was just
- 1:07Speaker 6: the headphones.
- 1:08Speaker 4: No, it's real.
- 1:09Speaker 6: That's good.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Cause it's October. It is.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13Speaker 6: Oh, that's cool. Who did that?
- 1:16Speaker 4: That's Tay Tay.
- 1:18Speaker 2: You made that? Did you make that?
- 1:19Speaker 4: Yeah, we have five different ones.
- 1:20Speaker 6: You up in Canva right now? It looks good. I
- 1:22Speaker 6: like that.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I didn't do anything.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Yeah. Thank you so much.
- 1:27Speaker 6: All right.
- 1:28Speaker 4: How spooky this one.
- 1:28Speaker 6: Happy Halloween guys.
- 1:30Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:30Speaker 2: So how you feeling? Uh, let's see. Alabama won.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Auburn lost.
- 1:34Speaker 2: South Carolina lost. And the Falcons play tonight. So maybe
- 1:36Speaker 2: up in the air.
- 1:37Speaker 6: The Falcons game is going to be tough. Uh, It
- 1:39Speaker 6: was really nice to have him not hurt me on Sunday.
- 1:41Speaker 6: That was good. Two Sundays in a row.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:44Speaker 6: I don't want to talk about the Falcons because I
- 1:46Speaker 6: think it's such a great, awesome night for the Saints,
- 1:49Speaker 6: just what they're doing in general. I think it's really cool.
- 1:52Speaker 6: I hope the Falcons win. I'm not putting any stock
- 1:55Speaker 6: into them winning.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Why don't you like Georgia?
- 1:56Speaker 6: Georgia? Yeah. The Bulldogs?
- 1:58Speaker 2: You're from Atlanta. You like the Falcons. Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 4: Why?
- 2:02Speaker 6: Because I grew up in a household full of Alabama fans.
- 2:05Speaker 4: So it was like.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Are they from Alabama?
- 2:07Speaker 4: Yeah, of course. Did they.
- 2:09Speaker 6: Follow-up question.
- 2:10Speaker 4: No, they did not go to Alabama.
- 2:11Speaker 6: No, they didn't go to college. Big State, I get it.
- 2:16Speaker 6: 85% for sure. But yeah, I just grew up in
- 2:18Speaker 6: a house that hated Georgia.
- 2:20Speaker 2: But that was fun for you in high school and stuff.
- 2:22Speaker 6: Man, and Bama was riding high back then. 3-9, 3-8, 4-9.
- 2:28Speaker 6: There was a game one time. This is like my
- 2:30Speaker 6: favorite misery story from a fan standpoint. I think my
- 2:34Speaker 6: senior year they played Georgia and Brody Corral had separated
- 2:37Speaker 6: his shoulder. And so he had to be benched. They
- 2:39Speaker 6: had to bring in the backup. And Thomas Davis hit
- 2:41Speaker 6: him so hard, he separated his shoulder. They brought Brody
- 2:46Speaker 6: back in because it's his non-throwing shoulder. He gets hit
- 2:50Speaker 6: by Thomas Davis, separates that shoulder. And so they didn't
- 2:54Speaker 6: have a quarterback on the sideline that could signal in
- 2:56Speaker 6: the plays. So they had to bring in a true
- 2:58Speaker 6: freshman that had to sprint to the sideline to get
- 3:00Speaker 6: the play from the coach. Brandon Avalos from Tuscaloosa County.
- 3:06Speaker 4: So, wait, he separated both shoulders?
- 3:08Speaker 6: So, he separated both and then the other one separated. Yeah,
- 3:11Speaker 6: so they're just sitting on the sidelines like. That's terrible.
- 3:15Speaker 2: 0-5, they were good.
- 3:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:19Speaker 2: All right, weren't you in high school then?
- 3:20Speaker 6: I was in college then. Oh. Yeah, you guys had
- 3:22Speaker 6: a great. I remember that was the Jamarcus Russell game.
- 3:26Speaker 2: We won in overtime.
- 3:26Speaker 6: Yeah, great game.
- 3:28Speaker 4: They were undefeated at that point. They were.
- 3:29Speaker 2: And then they lost to us and then Auburn, I think,
- 3:32Speaker 2: the next week.
- 3:32Speaker 6: Yeah, they had like seven sacks in that game.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Sorry about that.
- 3:35Speaker 6: That's fine. It was a good weekend, though. LSU looked great. Auburn... Dude,
- 3:40Speaker 6: that Auburn-Tennessee game was a tough watch.
- 3:42Speaker 4: It was.
- 3:43Speaker 6: For that to be on for three and a half
- 3:44Speaker 6: hours in my house.
- 3:45Speaker 4: That was.
- 3:47Speaker 6: They're not good.
- 3:47Speaker 2: What was tougher, that or knowing that inevitably South Carolina
- 3:51Speaker 2: was going to blow it again?
- 3:52Speaker 6: I just have never seen... It's like... It's like if
- 3:57Speaker 6: you're playing Mario Kart and you're on Rainbow Road and
- 4:00Speaker 6: you are so far ahead of everybody. It's like, hey, man,
- 4:02Speaker 6: just ease up a little bit. It... You can see
- 4:06Speaker 6: the finish line. Don't drive off the club. And all
- 4:08Speaker 6: of a sudden, he's like, Beamer just sits there. He's like, ah!
- 4:10Speaker 6: He just goes off the club.
- 4:11Speaker 2: He drives right into the banana hill.
- 4:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Not even a red shell.
- 4:15Speaker 6: It's almost like he puts it in reverse and goes
- 4:18Speaker 6: the other way into oncoming traffic and then just drives
- 4:20Speaker 6: off the club. It's been, they're not good.
- 4:23Speaker 2: They're good for a bit. Yeah.
- 4:26Speaker 6: First 20 minutes. Yeah.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Yeah. Maybe even longer. Maybe 25. When's Beamer getting fired?
- 4:35Speaker 6: I don't think he is. That was the news that
- 4:36Speaker 6: came out yesterday. They don't have the money to do it.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Who broke that news?
- 4:41Speaker 6: David Cloninger. What's his buyout? The Post and Courier. $ 28
- 4:45Speaker 6: million right now. It drops to $ 24 and then $ 22.
- 4:50Speaker 6: But the all-in. Like per season?
- 4:52Speaker 4: No, no.
- 4:52Speaker 6: Like every week? They were like, well, we don't want
- 4:54Speaker 6: to do it right now because we'd save $ 1.
- 4:55Speaker 4: 2 million.
- 4:56Speaker 6: Makes sense. If you are in the SEC where you're like, hey,
- 5:02Speaker 6: I don't want to fire anybody because we need to
- 5:04Speaker 6: save $ 1. 2 million, that's not good.
- 5:07Speaker 4: You might as well go to ACC. You might as
- 5:10Speaker 4: well not be in the SEC.
- 5:10Speaker 6: But, yeah, other than that, great weekend. How was y'all's weekend?
- 5:15Speaker 6: I heard we already talked about Gypsy Rose.
- 5:18Speaker 2: He didn't know who that was.
- 5:19Speaker 6: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 5:21Speaker 4: I thought it did.
- 5:22Speaker 7: He thought he did.
- 5:23Speaker 6: Who did you think it was?
- 5:24Speaker 3: Chaperone.
- 5:24Speaker 6: Oh, Chaperone.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Yeah, he thought it was the lady.
- 5:26Speaker 7: He was like, did she sing that song?
- 5:27Speaker 4: Yeah, Pink Pony Club.
- 5:28Speaker 7: And I said, what song? Pink Pony Club.
- 5:30Speaker 6: Every bit of this tracks so much. That needs to
- 5:33Speaker 6: be a game, is asking him who he thinks someone is.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 6: That'd be great.
- 5:37Speaker 4: I'd win.
- 5:39Speaker 7: Who do you think Chaperone is?
- 5:40Speaker 4: I don't think you'd win.
- 5:41Speaker 6: Who do you think Chaperone is? They Them Energy? That person?
- 5:45Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 5:46Speaker 4: I mean, once you say the right name, I just
- 5:48Speaker 4: say it kind of sounded like, you know, phonetically. Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 7: Gypsy Road. Chapel Road.
- 5:53Speaker 2: The story itself is crazy. But then, like, they did, like,
- 5:56Speaker 2: I guess it would have been a miniseries because it
- 5:58Speaker 2: was just, like, one season.
- 5:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 4: In fairness to me, like, my brain didn't fully work
- 6:02Speaker 4: until about noon.
- 6:04Speaker 6: Well, thank God you have a show at 7 a.m.
- 6:06Speaker 4: I didn't choose a time. We push this thing back.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Can we just, like, hold up?
- 6:13Speaker 6: Hit that snooze button.
- 6:14Speaker 7: Switch time slots with Hanny and Jimmy.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah. No, Haney hates getting up early. No chance
- 6:19Speaker 4: he's doing that.
- 6:20Speaker 6: That'd be kind of an electric start. Breakfast with him
- 6:23Speaker 6: and just ripping off awesome bets to be making all weekend.
- 6:26Speaker 6: I would love that.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Haney would hate getting up early. He'd be late.
- 6:32Speaker 2: And Jimmy would have to go from the night before.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Yeah. He'd stay up and do the show.
- 6:37Speaker 7: That's pretty accurate.
- 6:37Speaker 4: That tracks, too. We call that parlay.
- 6:39Speaker 7: Oh, that would be amazing.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Oh, what? That's a parlay. Parlay a good night into
- 6:43Speaker 4: a great morning.
- 6:44Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Well, that's like it or wait, like it or wait,
- 6:45Speaker 4: like it or wait.
- 6:47Speaker 6: Charlie, Charlie. It's my favorite. But yeah, thanks for asking, man.
- 6:53Speaker 7: So do y'all think she killed her husband?
- 6:54Speaker 2: No.
- 6:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:55Speaker 4: I mean, she's already killed her mother.
- 6:58Speaker 7: She didn't kill her mother.
- 7:00Speaker 6: Karma killed her. Right.
- 7:03Speaker 7: What's a pepper's gonna do to you?
- 7:04Speaker 8: Don't.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Why would pepper do it?
- 7:07Speaker 7: Because you give her Munchausen's.
- 7:08Speaker 6: What does that mean? What is Munchausen's?
- 7:12Speaker 7: We've done this before.
- 7:13Speaker 6: That's from Dunkin' Donuts.
- 7:14Speaker 7: That's what Gypsy Rose's mom had.
- 7:17Speaker 6: Oh, saying she's sick? Yes.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Yeah, like when they're not.
- 7:20Speaker 7: That's what you do to Pepper. Pepper's going to kill you.
- 7:22Speaker 6: Okay. I mean, that would suck.
- 7:23Speaker 7: That's his dog.
- 7:24Speaker 6: That'd be the way to go, honestly. Chris was killed
- 7:27Speaker 6: by a corgi. His?
- 7:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:30Speaker 6: Yeah. And some others.
- 7:31Speaker 7: He deserved it.
- 7:32Speaker 2: A pack of corgis? What would that be?
- 7:35Speaker 4: Corguy.
- 7:35Speaker 6: Do you guys see that race?
- 7:38Speaker 2: I like it.
- 7:39Speaker 6: It's not me. It's Allie. So you sent a thing
- 7:41Speaker 6: in the text yesterday, or Rivers did.
- 7:42Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 7:43Speaker 6: About the Corgi race. Yeah. They do these Corgi races
- 7:45Speaker 6: at halftime of football games and stuff. And I was like, Hey,
- 7:48Speaker 6: I'm going to sign pepper up for one of the
- 7:49Speaker 6: Falcons game last October. Allie lied to me and said
- 7:54Speaker 6: they had, yeah, strong start. Um, she was like, they
- 7:58Speaker 6: actually stopped, uh, taking, uh, applications, applications. I can't do it.
- 8:03Speaker 6: I was like, Oh, they did. She's like, yeah, it
- 8:05Speaker 6: actually ended yesterday. I'm like looking at it on Instagram.
- 8:07Speaker 6: It's like open to the public for two more weeks.
- 8:09Speaker 6: And I was like, why would you lie about that?
- 8:10Speaker 6: She goes, I don't want her to tear an ACL
- 8:12Speaker 6: and injure herself. So we just put her in bubble
- 8:15Speaker 6: wrap so she can't run 40 yards on artificial turf.
- 8:18Speaker 4: She probably would have injured herself.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I hear that turf's really bad on your joints. Yeah.
- 8:21Speaker 4: It's the old turf.
- 8:21Speaker 6: It's in the old dome.
- 8:22Speaker 4: A lot of guys in the NFL can't run on
- 8:24Speaker 4: the artificial turf.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fair.
- 8:26Speaker 4: So, I mean. Tua.
- 8:28Speaker 6: Tua Corga-Vailoa would be out of the season.
- 8:30Speaker 7: Tua Corga-Vailoa.
- 8:31Speaker 4: They can hang out. Yeah. Such a good guy.
- 8:34Speaker 6: He is a good guy. Not a good look from
- 8:36Speaker 6: his burner account, though.
- 8:37Speaker 4: That was his wife.
- 8:39Speaker 7: It was his wife that did it.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:40Speaker 6: But I do think she killed her husband.
- 8:42Speaker 4: We're so proud of you.
- 8:42Speaker 7: No, okay, so fiancé or, like, baby daddy or something.
- 8:45Speaker 6: I don't think they were married. Tough week for murder.
- 8:49Speaker 4: People that have burner accounts, that's so much work.
- 8:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 8:53Speaker 7: Hey, just be yourself.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Just, like, add somebody from your account and be like, hey.
- 8:58Speaker 7: But people are too cowardly to do that.
- 9:01Speaker 6: It's my least favorite thing on social media, just saying something.
- 9:03Speaker 7: People, like, have a.
- 9:05Speaker 8: cartoon as their profile picture and have the audacity to
- 9:08Speaker 8: call you ugly like yeah i bet you look great.
- 9:12Speaker 4: You're anonymous here what do you even look like but.
- 9:14Speaker 6: Florida fans are really big into it and old miss
- 9:16Speaker 6: fans are really bad about it too it's always like
- 9:18Speaker 6: another grown man like they'll like say something about me
- 9:21Speaker 6: like someone will be like call me a name yeah
- 9:23Speaker 6: and i'm like your profile picture and entire online personality
- 9:27Speaker 6: is another grown man yeah that is weird behavior for.
- 9:30Speaker 8: Sure I didn't see the tweet until after we got
- 9:33Speaker 8: off the phone yesterday. I disagree with your tweet.
- 9:36Speaker 6: Disagree with mine?
- 9:36Speaker 7: He's not a cornball.
- 9:38Speaker 8: He called John Summerall a cornball because he was upset
- 9:41Speaker 8: about the loss.
- 9:44Speaker 6: I think he puts on a bit of a show.
- 9:46Speaker 7: Basically, you think he's performative.
- 9:47Speaker 6: Yeah, big time.
- 9:49Speaker 7: But I think a lot of coaches.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Are, though. Agreed. Totally agree.
- 9:51Speaker 2: This is my opinion, because I know John. I don't
- 9:55Speaker 2: think it's for show, because he's like that in everyday life.
- 9:58Speaker 6: He's like that in cheerleading.
- 10:00Speaker 7: Nobody paid attention to him at Tulane. That's how he
- 10:01Speaker 7: was though.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Yeah I mean to her point.
- 10:03Speaker 6: I thought I had a sour taste in my mouth
- 10:05Speaker 6: when he and you know him so like I could
- 10:09Speaker 6: my instincts are almost wrong all the time about everything
- 10:11Speaker 6: not just John Sumrall but him at media days being
- 10:16Speaker 6: like you're lucky I didn't throw this freaking podium over
- 10:18Speaker 6: there and you're like Buddy, it's like a 60-year-old cameraman
- 10:22Speaker 6: running up with all of his stuff. It's like, we
- 10:24Speaker 6: got it. And all the Florida fans came in, media,
- 10:28Speaker 6: I guess, but gave him a standing ovation, or they
- 10:31Speaker 6: gave him a round of applause as he came on stage.
- 10:33Speaker 7: Wait, media clapped?
- 10:34Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 10:35Speaker 4: When he beat Ole Miss, right?
- 10:36Speaker 6: That's weird. No, no. So when he came to the
- 10:38Speaker 6: podium at media days, they were like. It was wild.
- 10:43Speaker 6: Me and Hunt were sitting there, and I was like,
- 10:44Speaker 6: even I know that's.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Not the way. Did you tell Doreen to sit down?
- 10:46Speaker 4: I did not.
- 10:47Speaker 6: He's coming on the show today.
- 10:48Speaker 4: What show?
- 10:49Speaker 2: You do seven shows.
- 10:50Speaker 6: All of them.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Yeah, what show are you talking about? What show is
- 10:53Speaker 4: he coming on?
- 10:53Speaker 6: I'm playing Fortnite on Twitch, and he's going to come
- 10:56Speaker 6: on and play with me for an hour.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Hell yeah, dude.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Dory doesn't have time for that.
- 10:59Speaker 4: No.
- 11:00Speaker 6: He looks great.
- 11:01Speaker 8: I mean, Mike Tomlin coached a whole football team and
- 11:03Speaker 8: has a Minecraft city.
- 11:05Speaker 4: That's right.
- 11:06Speaker 7: So CD might have some time.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Yeah, but... If he has time, he's thinking about other things. Botox. Yes.
- 11:12Speaker 2: What's Botox and being on boats?
- 11:14Speaker 4: Yeah. What was that? Some people posting like, okay, thinking
- 11:18Speaker 4: about the timeline, Mike Tomlin didn't win a playoff game
- 11:21Speaker 4: since he started his Minecraft. Yeah.
- 11:24Speaker 2: God forbid a guy has a hobby or two.
- 11:26Speaker 7: Yeah, God forbid.
- 11:27Speaker 4: I respect the hell out of it.
- 11:30Speaker 6: How did the announcement get made? Because it was so casual.
- 11:32Speaker 6: It was just like, hey, y'all, tonight, 8 p.m.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Yeah, that was literally what it was. That's literally what
- 11:37Speaker 4: it was. It was a YouTube video, right?
- 11:38Speaker 6: It's like when you were a kid and you're like, okay, mom, dad,
- 11:42Speaker 6: tonight I have a show I want to perform for
- 11:45Speaker 6: you guys. I want to try on some clothes. I'm like, okay, whatever.
- 11:48Speaker 4: What?
- 11:48Speaker 2: We're going to do a parade?
- 11:50Speaker 6: Yeah. He's a grown 62-year-old man. He's like, you guys
- 11:55Speaker 6: want to see my video game?
- 11:55Speaker 4: I've been working on this for years.
- 11:58Speaker 6: Super Bowl champion Mike Tomlin? We'd love to.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Apparently, according to Minecraft people, it was actually very impressive.
- 12:05Speaker 7: Super impressive. I mean, I used to play. I used
- 12:07Speaker 7: to play. Mine did not look like that.
- 12:10Speaker 6: I don't even know what it is.
- 12:11Speaker 2: I mean, I look.
- 12:12Speaker 4: You just build stuff.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I like my boys play, you know, here and there.
- 12:15Speaker 2: They'll play some Minecraft.
- 12:16Speaker 6: I like it.
- 12:16Speaker 2: It's like it's building things.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Using resources.
- 12:19Speaker 7: You have to like resource stuff.
- 12:20Speaker 4: From the earth. Yeah. New? Yeah, kind of. But, like,
- 12:24Speaker 4: you start from the absolute scratch.
- 12:25Speaker 7: Yeah, like, you have to, like.
- 12:26Speaker 6: Oh, I would not do well in that game.
- 12:27Speaker 7: You have to, like, dig in the dirt.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 12:29Speaker 7: Yeah, you have to find.
- 12:30Speaker 4: I remember.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Jackson was, like, seven years old. I'm like, what are
- 12:33Speaker 2: you doing? I got to get some brick and mortar
- 12:34Speaker 2: from my town.
- 12:35Speaker 4: And, like... Literally. Okay, I don't mind you playing this
- 12:37Speaker 4: game at seven years old.
- 12:38Speaker 2: That's kind of cool.
- 12:39Speaker 7: It's like, remember on Facebook the old people used to
- 12:41Speaker 7: play Farmville?
- 12:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Similarly.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 4: What do the old people play now?
- 12:45Speaker 2: And I'm, like, I'm old.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Candy Crush?
- 12:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:47Speaker 2: No, well, yeah, but it's like no.
- 12:49Speaker 7: I can't lie. Candy Crush is pretty relaxing.
- 12:52Speaker 6: Flash of Clans.
- 12:53Speaker 4: That's old, though. I used to play that like 15
- 12:55Speaker 4: years ago. I think it's still popular.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Show us your.
- 12:59Speaker 4: No.
- 12:59Speaker 6: Show us your city.
- 13:02Speaker 4: I was going to say show us.
- 13:03Speaker 6: Your clan, but that sounds bad.
- 13:04Speaker 7: Show us your city.
- 13:05Speaker 6: Yeah, you should show us your Clash of Clans.
- 13:08Speaker 4: I don't have it anymore. I played it like when
- 13:10Speaker 4: I was in Green Bay.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because you lived in Green Bay. Yeah, true.
- 13:13Speaker 8: It's fair.
- 13:14Speaker 6: I bet that was a big thing.
- 13:15Speaker 4: That was in the nightlife. Sure, you went out a
- 13:17Speaker 4: lot in San Diego.
- 13:19Speaker 2: We did, actually.
- 13:20Speaker 4: San Diego.
- 13:20Speaker 2: We lived downtown in the Gaslight District.
- 13:22Speaker 6: What was that?
- 13:22Speaker 4: Huh?
- 13:23Speaker 6: What was that? That's not a great insult. Oh, I
- 13:25Speaker 6: bet you had a great time in a real city.
- 13:27Speaker 4: I'm just saying.
- 13:28Speaker 6: I bet the weather was nice in San Diego.
- 13:31Speaker 4: I don't think he was doing a whole lot of
- 13:33Speaker 4: nightlife more than I was.
- 13:35Speaker 2: We did when we lived downtown.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Gaslight District. Is that what it's called?
- 13:39Speaker 2: Gaslamp.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Oh.
- 13:40Speaker 7: No, it's actually called Gaslight.
- 13:42Speaker 4: You got that wrong.
- 13:43Speaker 7: It's Gaslight.
- 13:45Speaker 6: You're crazy.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Don't worry.
- 13:46Speaker 7: It's insane to call it Gaslamp. It's Gaslight.
- 13:49Speaker 6: Yeah, San Diego's fun.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's great. It's a great town. Don't make fun
- 13:51Speaker 2: of Green Bay. He gets real defensive, and he starts
- 13:53Speaker 2: throwing shade at the Chargers.
- 13:55Speaker 7: They're one Dave and Buster.
- 13:56Speaker 4: I love Green Bay.
- 13:57Speaker 6: There's a Dave and Buster's there?
- 13:58Speaker 2: So awesome. We rode our bikes to practice. We're so cool.
- 14:01Speaker 4: You had a bike? We won games, too.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Now we're really getting defensive. Guy wins one Super Bowl.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Can't tell him anything.
- 14:08Speaker 6: You won a Super Bowl?
- 14:10Speaker 4: By myself.
- 14:13Speaker 6: By myself.
- 14:14Speaker 4: He's like, but I was there.
- 14:16Speaker 6: Here's the thing nobody talks about in the Super Bowl.
- 14:18Speaker 6: It was all me.
- 14:19Speaker 4: I did start a game that season. Sure, we lost,
- 14:21Speaker 4: but we were close.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Hey, we had a lot of good tries, bud. A
- 14:25Speaker 2: lot of good tries.
- 14:26Speaker 4: In the playoffs.
- 14:26Speaker 2: A lot of good tries in the playoffs.
- 14:28Speaker 4: Some would say that loss propelled us to a Super
- 14:30Speaker 4: Bowl victory.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Some are saying it. And it's you.
- 14:33Speaker 4: It's you saying it.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers had zero to do with it. Absolutely.
- 14:37Speaker 4: It's the confidence we built. All right.
- 14:42Speaker 2: We'll take a break.
- 14:43Speaker 4: We'll come back.
- 14:45Speaker 2: I want to get your thoughts on the college football weekend.
- 14:48Speaker 2: There was a lot of surprises.
- 14:52Speaker 7: Okay. I'm not. No, I'll tell you in the break.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Never mind.
- 14:55Speaker 5: Before we go to break now, let's tell you about

- 15:37Speaker 3: Off the Bench.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Hester and Flynn. Presented by Bayou Automotive.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Sometimes I feel like I don't have a partner. Sometimes
- 16:14Speaker 3: I feel like my only friend.
- 16:18Speaker 4: Is the city I.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Live in, the city of angels. Lonely as I am,
- 16:27Speaker 3: together we cry.
- 16:33Speaker 2: All right, welcome back to OTB.
- 16:36Speaker 5: We do have a big college football weekend coming up.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Some big-time games, a lot of ranked-on-ranked matchups. But as
- 16:43Speaker 5: I asked the room earlier today, now that we've added Marler,
- 16:48Speaker 5: biggest surprise of the college football weekend for you.
- 16:51Speaker 4: It could be good, it could be bad, it could
- 16:52Speaker 4: be somewhere in the middle. What was the biggest surprise?
- 16:56Speaker 6: I guess it's Florida. It would have to be. The
- 16:59Speaker 6: biggest surprise from that game was Jaden Baugh 12 carries,
- 17:04Speaker 6: 13 yards, 11 of it coming on the first run
- 17:07Speaker 6: of the game. I mean, that's a Missouri team that
- 17:10Speaker 6: had– they were averaging 13.5 missed tackles per game. And
- 17:14Speaker 6: I thought they would just run through Missouri.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:18Speaker 4: You know Drink love that.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I have not seen his post-game press coverage yet. Was
- 17:24Speaker 2: it what we thought it would be?
- 17:25Speaker 6: A lot of people on social media out here talking
- 17:27Speaker 6: about how we hadn't beaten anybody. That's a talking point. No,
- 17:30Speaker 6: you hadn't beaten anybody. You were 0-9 against top 25
- 17:34Speaker 6: teams in the last three years. The last win they
- 17:37Speaker 6: had against top 25 teams was number 24 Boston College,
- 17:40Speaker 6: coached by Bill O'Brien. So it's not a narrative. It
- 17:43Speaker 6: is a talking point because it's something that's like.
- 17:45Speaker 4: It's a fact.
- 17:46Speaker 6: It's a fact. It's a factual statement. But he was like, yeah,
- 17:49Speaker 6: I mean, we didn't hear any of that. It's like,
- 17:51Speaker 6: you're talking about it right now, bud. You heard it
- 17:53Speaker 6: a little bit. Now I'm not one to get mad
- 17:56Speaker 6: at someone for getting defensive, because I do that all
- 17:59Speaker 6: the time.
- 17:59Speaker 7: You did that as soon as you walked into the studio.
- 18:01Speaker 6: Well, you earned that one. But yes.
- 18:03Speaker 7: Don't think I did.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Now you're being defensive. Welcome to the Gaslight District. Coaches
- 18:11Speaker 6: do have.
- 18:11Speaker 4: To find motivation, right? They've got to find motivation for
- 18:13Speaker 4: their team, but sometimes they start to believe their own BS.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:17Speaker 4: That's a case of that.
- 18:18Speaker 6: They were 0-9 against ranked opponents. The numbers on drink
- 18:22Speaker 6: are very... Very black and white coming into the season.
- 18:26Speaker 6: We did a whole thing about it at LouisianaSports.net, which
- 18:28Speaker 6: was like dozens of people read it.
- 18:31Speaker 2: We like to say tens of tens.
- 18:33Speaker 6: This town wants Mizzou football content. But it was like
- 18:36Speaker 6: a deep dive on some of the numbers he had.
- 18:40Speaker 6: He's been very bad against ranked opponents overall. I think
- 18:43Speaker 6: he's like seven and he's now eight and 20.
- 18:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:46Speaker 2: And I love drink. I do.
- 18:47Speaker 6: Same.
- 18:48Speaker 4: I love drink. Same.
- 18:49Speaker 2: This one doesn't think Missouri's in the SEC still.
- 18:51Speaker 6: Oh, that's so lame.
- 18:52Speaker 4: But.
- 18:53Speaker 6: That's lamer than my thumbs up on your text.
- 18:55Speaker 4: Why is that lame?
- 18:57Speaker 7: Ooh, hard is worse.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Why is it lame? Missouri's rivals is the Kansas Jayhawks.
- 19:04Speaker 6: Yeah. They have a big friction over the Civil War,
- 19:08Speaker 6: so it's pretty SEC if you ask me.
- 19:10Speaker 4: That hype video was awesome.
- 19:11Speaker 6: That hype video was insane.
- 19:13Speaker 4: It was incredible. What do you do if you're in Missouri?
- 19:15Speaker 4: You're just like, nuh-uh.
- 19:17Speaker 6: They basically called them slave masters. Kansas came out with
- 19:21Speaker 6: a hype video, and it's like, this game means something.
- 19:25Speaker 6: The Jayhawks, the Tigers. And it's like slavery. We said no.
- 19:29Speaker 6: And it was like, yeah, Missouri, Missouri voted for it.
- 19:33Speaker 6: You're like, no. And why are we doing this? And
- 19:36Speaker 6: it's like newspapers from like the 1860s. And it's like, yeah,
- 19:40Speaker 6: it was.
- 19:40Speaker 9: Basically saying we've been on the opposite sides of everything,
- 19:43Speaker 9: including the civil war.
- 19:45Speaker 6: It was like 19 seconds into the hype video, and
- 19:50Speaker 6: you're like, Missouri came back with theirs, and it was
- 19:53Speaker 6: all just like, here's all the times we beat you guys.
- 19:58Speaker 6: Look at Chase Daniel. Who remembers this game? What about
- 20:02Speaker 6: Drew Locke?
- 20:04Speaker 2: We remember Drew Locke, not Chase Daniel.
- 20:06Speaker 4: No, we don't.
- 20:08Speaker 7: We don't chase Daniel here.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Drew Locke.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Yeah, that was tough, too. Grown-ass man doing that.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Was he a grown-ass man? No, no, Tom Herman did
- 20:17Speaker 4: it to Mocken. In the Alamo Bowl.
- 20:20Speaker 6: Underrated Bowl, but still. That was my biggest takeaway, though.
- 20:23Speaker 6: I will say, I'm not trying to.
- 20:26Speaker 6: We do a thing like what we learned every week,
- 20:28Speaker 6: and more than a dozen people read it. I would say, yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 6: I mean, the Bama win, I thought, was impressive.
- 20:35Speaker 4: It was.
- 20:36Speaker 6: I thought Mississippi State... Not being able to run the
- 20:38Speaker 6: football makes them a very different team.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Still, though, it was an impressive win.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I mean, sloppy game in the first half from both teams.
- 20:45Speaker 6: I about lost my mind when I watched. They get
- 20:48Speaker 6: a sack on Camario. It's like 21-7. They punt, and
- 20:52Speaker 6: they fumble the punt. They get the ball back two
- 20:54Speaker 6: plays later and then fumble again. And I was like,
- 20:56Speaker 6: what are y'all doing? But then the other thing I thought, too,
- 20:59Speaker 6: was really interesting with the LSU side of things was
- 21:02Speaker 6: it seems very clear that Kiffin is trying to create
- 21:08Speaker 6: a standard that has not been here in the last
- 21:12Speaker 6: couple years.
- 21:13Speaker 7: We were just talking about that.
- 21:14Speaker 4: It's going out of its way.
- 21:15Speaker 2: To do it.
- 21:15Speaker 4: It's awesome.
- 21:16Speaker 6: I will say also the video, I was kind of
- 21:20Speaker 6: surprised he put McNeese on blast like that. The video
- 21:24Speaker 6: about McNeese asked for a running clock.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Yeah, and he's like, no, they're going to leave and
- 21:28Speaker 4: we tell them to leave.
- 21:29Speaker 6: They leave and we let them leave. And I was like, damn,
- 21:31Speaker 6: that was.
- 21:31Speaker 7: I love that.
- 21:32Speaker 6: I love that, too, but I just was surprised that
- 21:34Speaker 6: he put that out.
- 21:34Speaker 9: When he called the timeout in, like, the third quarter, like,
- 21:37Speaker 9: the middle of the game.
- 21:37Speaker 6: Seven seconds into the second half.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Yeah, that was....
- 21:43Speaker 6: Crazy work. Seven seconds into the second half.
- 21:45Speaker 7: I'm here for it.
- 21:46Speaker 6: No, no, hold on, hold on. I actually have something
- 21:48Speaker 6: to say.
- 21:48Speaker 4: After what we just had to watch for years.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I agree.
- 21:52Speaker 4: He decided to do that on Tuesday.
- 21:54Speaker 5: I don't care if he decided on Monday.
- 21:58Speaker 2: After the two-parter questions he had to keep answering in
- 22:00Speaker 2: the press conference.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Coach, I have a question here, but it's actually three questions.
- 22:04Speaker 7: Mixed with a statement. Is Landon.
- 22:08Speaker 6: Clark starting? Tough scene from afterwards, though. That video that
- 22:10Speaker 6: went viral of him partying at the frat house.
- 22:12Speaker 4: How do you see all this? Do you live on
- 22:15Speaker 4: the internet? Yes, my whole job. What happened?
- 22:19Speaker 6: So there's this stupid.
- 22:20Speaker 7: But it's an old, like.
- 22:22Speaker 6: Yeah, there's this stupid handle. Because you can just do
- 22:24Speaker 6: this now in the world. It's called No Three Sports
- 22:27Speaker 6: instead of On Three.
- 22:28Speaker 4: Matt gets got by it all the time.
- 22:29Speaker 6: And it's a video of him at his daughter's high
- 22:31Speaker 6: school graduation or something from years ago. And he's like,
- 22:35Speaker 6: I don't know if he's, he's singing on stage. And
- 22:38Speaker 6: it looks like he's partying.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Are we talking about Lane?
- 22:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:41Speaker 6: And it's very clearly not him now. The jawline's different.
- 22:43Speaker 7: Yeah, he's a little, like maybe.
- 22:45Speaker 6: A little bit more bloated.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:46Speaker 6: A little bit more me. And so he, not as much.
- 22:49Speaker 6: He's giving parlor. But a little bit, yeah. And so
- 22:52Speaker 6: he's like singing some song, might have been Chaperone.
- 22:56Speaker 4: Good man.
- 22:56Speaker 6: Singing Don't Stop Believing. And people were like, this is unacceptable.
- 23:01Speaker 6: This is a state employee.
- 23:03Speaker 2: What?
- 23:04Speaker 6: It's not even a crime. It's a leader of men.
- 23:08Speaker 2: This is a state employee.
- 23:09Speaker 9: Well, because the caption said something like him partying at
- 23:12Speaker 9: Tiger Land after the game.
- 23:13Speaker 6: At a frat house.
- 23:14Speaker 7: At a frat house after McNeese.
- 23:16Speaker 6: He's never going to change. Pete Golding's nephew's burner chimes in.
- 23:21Speaker 6: He's always been like this. I'm like, shot, you are
- 23:24Speaker 6: an idiot.
- 23:25Speaker 4: That's why we replaced him with Pete. It was our choice.
- 23:28Speaker 4: It wasn't, bud.
- 23:29Speaker 7: Same guy that.
- 23:30Speaker 6: Oh.
- 23:31Speaker 7: He has a mugshot?
- 23:32Speaker 6: Oh. Okay. Weird. No one ever congratulates us for breaking
- 23:38Speaker 6: the finish line. You know what I mean? You guys
- 23:44Speaker 6: weren't there before Uber was a thing.
- 23:47Speaker 7: I mean, fair enough.
- 23:49Speaker 6: You always had one designated... Driver.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Drunk driver.
- 23:52Speaker 6: Yep, there it is. We're going to get in trouble again.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Sounds like from The Hangover.
- 23:56Speaker 7: Oh, we are going to get in trouble again. Four
- 24:00Speaker 7: people are going to call. Wait, but we were talking
- 24:03Speaker 7: about the standard earlier.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Live close enough so you can walk.
- 24:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 6: Like you in Green Bay or ride a bike. Can
- 24:09Speaker 6: you get a DUI on a bike?
- 24:10Speaker 7: Hmm.
- 24:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:13Speaker 6: I think you can. Also, Tony Romo is out for
- 24:14Speaker 6: the year. That was the first show we did.
- 24:16Speaker 10: I don't know, Jim.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I don't know, Jim.
- 24:19Speaker 6: I think there's one single left there.
- 24:21Speaker 4: I don't think you can with a bike.
- 24:23Speaker 7: I think I should have called an Uber.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Yeah. Didn't someone get a DUI on a horse one time?
- 24:28Speaker 2: That'd be awesome.
- 24:30Speaker 4: If you can get one on a horse, you can
- 24:31Speaker 4: get one on a bike.
- 24:31Speaker 6: I think that was in that Kansas Hype video.
- 24:33Speaker 7: I've always said it.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Always said it.
- 24:35Speaker 8: Yes, you can get a DUI on a bike in
- 24:36Speaker 8: some states and jurisdictions, but it depends.
- 24:39Speaker 7: It's got to be Utah. It depends on.
- 24:41Speaker 4: California feels right.
- 24:44Speaker 8: Florida, you can get arrested for DUI on a bike.
- 24:47Speaker 4: That's a weak move. Colorado.
- 24:49Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 24:50Speaker 7: California.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Yeah, California. Florida's a surprise.
- 24:53Speaker 6: It feels like Florida had to be because of so
- 24:55Speaker 6: many times it probably kept happening.
- 24:57Speaker 7: Here in Louisiana, you can't.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no way.
- 25:00Speaker 6: Of course. Louisiana, you can do anything. And Washington, you can't.
- 25:02Speaker 2: You can have an open container on a bike and
- 25:04Speaker 2: cheers a cop. Yeah, probably.
- 25:06Speaker 6: I remember being on the phone with Cassie. No, it
- 25:08Speaker 6: was Jessie.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Did you say the same person? It took me a
- 25:13Speaker 2: couple weeks.
- 25:14Speaker 6: I just learned their last name. I still don't know
- 25:17Speaker 6: how to say it. I thought they were of Hispanic descent,
- 25:20Speaker 6: not Italian. I was putting a lot of emphasis on it.
- 25:24Speaker 6: Way too much. Way too much on the accent. Spezial! Nope,
- 25:29Speaker 6: not even close. Feels racist. I was on the phone.
- 25:33Speaker 6: I have to get on the phone. There's a cop
- 25:36Speaker 6: behind me. She's like, okay. And I hang up, and
- 25:39Speaker 6: she's like, you can talk on the phone with cops
- 25:42Speaker 6: around in Louisiana. You can pretty much do whatever you
- 25:44Speaker 6: want in Louisiana.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Pretty much.
- 25:45Speaker 2: You're coming from a state that you probably couldn't be
- 25:48Speaker 2: on the phone while driving.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Oh, in Georgia.
- 25:50Speaker 7: I mean, technically, you can't be on the phone while
- 25:51Speaker 7: you're driving here.
- 25:53Speaker 4: You'd be hands-free. Yeah. You'd be hands-free.
- 25:56Speaker 6: I had actually a phone in both hands. Really? And
- 25:58Speaker 6: that was tough. And a donut in my mouth.
- 26:00Speaker 7: You were juggling stuff in both your hands and had
- 26:03Speaker 7: something in your mouth?
- 26:04Speaker 6: Should have done that. Crazy. On that note.
- 26:06Speaker 2: We'll take a break.
- 26:07Speaker 4: When we come back off the bench. All right.
- 26:11Speaker 5: When plumbing problems pop up, you want a team that's
- 26:15Speaker 5: ready to get things flowing again. Such a plumbing has
- 26:17Speaker 5: served Baton Rouge area homes and businesses since 1974.
- 26:20Speaker 2: And they handle a little bit of everything. I'm going
- 26:24Speaker 2: to give you a personal example. We had a gas
- 26:26Speaker 2: lantern outside of our home that it wasn't like we
- 26:29Speaker 2: had to write the left one, getting plenty of gas,
- 26:31Speaker 2: the right one. It was not, couldn't get a flame going.
- 26:33Speaker 5: They came in, and it was clogged, and they fixed
- 26:36Speaker 5: it literally in 10.

- 27:19Speaker 1: Off the bench with Hester and Flynn. Presented by Bayou Automotive.
- 27:28Speaker 10: All right, welcome back in OTB.
- 27:49Speaker 5: You're live from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Great week of college football coming up. Going to have
- 27:58Speaker 2: a ton of ranked-on-ranked matchups. Got some intriguing matchups. Like,
- 28:04Speaker 2: Indiana-Nebraska's even pretty decent. Got number seven, Indiana-Nebraska undefeated.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 2: You've got South Carolina and Florida.
- 28:15Speaker 4: Nobody cares about that but Marler. Not even me.
- 28:17Speaker 5: You've got Red River, which Oklahoma's not great, but it's
- 28:20Speaker 5: always interesting.
- 28:22Speaker 2: You've got UCLA and Oregon. That's 21 versus 13. LSU
- 28:28Speaker 2: and Kentucky, 10 versus 25. Georgia, Alabama, 2 versus 6. Oh, God.
- 28:36Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Tuscaloosa, though, right?
- 28:40Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 28:41Speaker 6: I don't love that.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Why?
- 28:43Speaker 6: That game just sucks every year, especially being from Georgia.
- 28:47Speaker 6: I still have a ton of Georgia friends, but it's
- 28:49Speaker 6: also just a– it's always a very– besides Atlanta last year,
- 28:52Speaker 6: like a crazy, tightly contested game.
- 28:55Speaker 4: It seems like.
- 28:59Speaker 6: Did you see the line?
- 29:02Speaker 4: Yes.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I just looked at it. It's one and a half
- 29:05Speaker 2: for Alabama.
- 29:06Speaker 6: It opened yesterday at Georgia minus two and a half.
- 29:09Speaker 4: It opened at minus three for Georgia, actually.
- 29:11Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 29:11Speaker 4: I like that. Hey, how do you feel, though? Your
- 29:14Speaker 4: young quarterback has the third best Heisman odds right now.
- 29:17Speaker 6: You know what's crazy about this season in general is
- 29:20Speaker 6: the fluctuation in numbers. I'm actually doing an article about.
- 29:23Speaker 2: It right now.
- 29:24Speaker 4: Dozens.
- 29:25Speaker 6: Dozens. Literally, it's pulled up right now.
- 29:27Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 29:27Speaker 6: On Saturday during the third quarter, his odds to win
- 29:31Speaker 6: the Heisman went to number one. He had the best
- 29:34Speaker 6: odds to win the Heisman in the third quarter of
- 29:36Speaker 6: that game. It might have been at halftime. People were
- 29:39Speaker 6: just hammering it.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Right there.
- 29:40Speaker 6: Yeah, a thousand percent. Just like, I mean, he's been very,
- 29:44Speaker 6: very good. That throw he made on third and 19
- 29:46Speaker 6: or whatever it was.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Back shoulder.
- 29:48Speaker 2: My God.
- 29:49Speaker 6: But, yeah, I mean.
- 29:52Speaker 2: So, I mean, this, as we all know, you're kind of,
- 29:54Speaker 2: as a quarterback.
- 29:55Speaker 4: Yep.
- 29:56Speaker 2: You're viewed off how you play against Georgia a lot
- 29:58Speaker 2: of times, or a defense like this.
- 29:59Speaker 6: Tua lost to Heisman.
- 30:00Speaker 2: This is going to be very, very big for him.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Huge. The moment, I mean, this is a potential for
- 30:06Speaker 4: him to have his moment. It is.
- 30:09Speaker 2: And he's going against Steady Eddie, Gunner Stockton.
- 30:12Speaker 6: I think what's going to be different about this game
- 30:16Speaker 6: is Gunner Stockton can absolutely go out there and do
- 30:18Speaker 6: what he did against Tennessee and Ole Miss last year
- 30:20Speaker 6: and go throw it 30 times and complete 22 of
- 30:24Speaker 6: of those passes for 300 yards and be fine. There's
- 30:27Speaker 6: going to be so many dropbacks, him scrambling for six
- 30:32Speaker 6: yards and now it's second and four and then, or
- 30:34Speaker 6: now it's, it's third and three and he scrambles for five.
- 30:37Speaker 6: It's going to be, I mean, he's, he's just, he
- 30:39Speaker 6: is the most 1990s quarterback I think I've ever watched.
- 30:43Speaker 6: It's awesome to watch. Like it's, and he doesn't care
- 30:45Speaker 6: about any of that. No, just wants to win games.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Just move the chain.
- 30:48Speaker 6: Just move the chain.
- 30:49Speaker 4: That is the gold number one for a quarterback. Move
- 30:51Speaker 4: the chains however necessary. And, It doesn't always look sexy.
- 30:55Speaker 2: But, man, he– His teammates, they love that guy.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:58Speaker 2: I mean, when he came in that SEC championship game
- 31:00Speaker 2: years ago, like the whole bench got up. I was
- 31:03Speaker 2: like on the sidelines. I'm like, at first I was like,
- 31:05Speaker 2: y'all hate Carson Beck that much.
- 31:07Speaker 4: And maybe they do. Maybe they do.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Maybe that's some of it. But, like, they love. And
- 31:12Speaker 2: then I covered the Sugar Bowl. Last year? However many weeks. No,
- 31:15Speaker 2: the year they played Notre Dame.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 31:16Speaker 2: A couple years ago. and you would say Gunnar Stockton's
- 31:19Speaker 2: name to his teammates, and they would just immediately smile
- 31:22Speaker 2: and kind of sit up in their chair. They love
- 31:23Speaker 2: that guy. I think for the reasons that you're talking about.
- 31:26Speaker 2: He didn't care about Heisman or All-American, All-SEC. He's throwback,
- 31:31Speaker 2: old school, let's go win a football game.
- 31:33Speaker 6: Carson came back in 2023, got a new tattoo. He
- 31:38Speaker 6: already had a couple A.J. McCarron-level tattoos.
- 31:40Speaker 2: I was going to say, on a level from one
- 31:42Speaker 2: to A.J. McCarron.
- 31:43Speaker 4: It was A.J.
- 31:43Speaker 6: Light. And then he got a rocket ship, like a
- 31:48Speaker 6: cartoon rocket ship on his calf. It said blast off.
- 31:51Speaker 4: Makes sense.
- 31:52Speaker 6: And it's there forever. I mean, this one's bad, but
- 31:54Speaker 6: that's pretty tough. You can wear socks, which I'm not
- 31:58Speaker 6: a big fan of, but still. No, you're not.
- 32:01Speaker 4: You can wear like a quarter sleeve if you don't
- 32:03Speaker 4: like that one.
- 32:03Speaker 2: This one? Yeah.
- 32:05Speaker 6: I just wear long sleeves.
- 32:06Speaker 2: What's wrong with that one?
- 32:07Speaker 6: So terrible.
- 32:08Speaker 2: I'm not doing this.
- 32:09Speaker 6: But Carson Beck had that and then bought a Lamborghini
- 32:12Speaker 6: SUV right away.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Why are you being weird about it?
- 32:15Speaker 6: Your tattoo?
- 32:15Speaker 2: Because it sucks.
- 32:16Speaker 6: Why? It's a prodigal son. I got it at a
- 32:19Speaker 6: place attached to a Subway sandwich shop. Oh, no.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Humongous.
- 32:23Speaker 6: Humongous.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I mean.
- 32:24Speaker 6: Me and Carson Beck, baby. But then Gunner comes in.
- 32:27Speaker 6: He's got like a 1978 Ford F-150. He just doesn't.
- 32:31Speaker 6: I think his only NIL deal his first two years
- 32:32Speaker 6: was at Onward Reserved. He just is so country.
- 32:36Speaker 9: There was his grandpa's truck, right? And then he didn't
- 32:39Speaker 9: have any AC in it. I was like, I love
- 32:41Speaker 9: this guy.
- 32:41Speaker 5: I don't know that he might have gotten a new one,
- 32:44Speaker 5: but even as of last year, he's like, no.
- 32:46Speaker 8: He feels fiscally responsible for sure. NIL money is going
- 32:50Speaker 8: into investment and savings.
- 32:52Speaker 6: Right, which is just land. He's just buying land.
- 32:54Speaker 4: Yeah, he is. He is land.
- 32:56Speaker 6: They ain't making more. I got about 300 acres up
- 32:58Speaker 6: in Raven, guys.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Here's a real question, though. So it's cool. We love
- 33:02Speaker 4: the truck store and everything. But at a certain point,
- 33:05Speaker 4: you do have to realize that they have cars with
- 33:07Speaker 4: AC in them. They got cars with Bluetooth. At what
- 33:11Speaker 4: point does it become a little bit performative?
- 33:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Oh, what a cornball, huh?
- 33:16Speaker 2: I don't know that.
- 33:17Speaker 4: That's a real question. I hear you.
- 33:19Speaker 3: I do.
- 33:20Speaker 2: I do.
- 33:21Speaker 4: If you've ever met him, it tracks. Also, he's from
- 33:23Speaker 4: Raven Gap. Don't sell it, keep it. But also, for
- 33:26Speaker 4: someone that didn't have.
- 33:27Speaker 6: He's from Raven Gap, Georgia, which is where Deliverance was filmed.
- 33:30Speaker 2: I believe that.
- 33:31Speaker 6: That's the kind of, I mean, he's from the country country.
- 33:35Speaker 5: The first time I interviewed him, he couldn't look me
- 33:37Speaker 5: in the eye. He had his head down, and I
- 33:39Speaker 5: was answering questions. I'm like, he gets small town, wants
- 33:42Speaker 5: to play football, hates being here probably right now.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:47Speaker 4: To your point, a lot of people, yes, I would
- 33:49Speaker 4: say he's doing it for the story.
- 33:51Speaker 7: Why do we think his hairline's like that?
- 33:53Speaker 6: Oh, that is another reason I believe in him, though.
- 33:55Speaker 7: No, I mean, I'm for the hairline, but he's so young.
- 33:58Speaker 4: He's 22.
- 33:58Speaker 6: I knew someone that was like, Rob Bowers was losing
- 34:00Speaker 6: his hair in Georgia.
- 34:06Speaker 4: It's going to be something in the water. Eric Zier.
- 34:07Speaker 4: Eric Zier.
- 34:09Speaker 6: Holy. That dude was bald at 17.
- 34:11Speaker 8: It's probably because they're all driving so fast.
- 34:14Speaker 4: No, that could be it. It's like careless operation, hair loss,
- 34:17Speaker 4: like Georgia.
- 34:18Speaker 2: That's it.
- 34:19Speaker 4: I don't. Some people I get, I've known people that
- 34:21Speaker 4: were going gray at like 23.
- 34:25Speaker 7: I have gray hairs.
- 34:26Speaker 4: What? Like maybe one.
- 34:28Speaker 7: No, I have gray hairs and I have since I
- 34:30Speaker 7: was like in high school.
- 34:31Speaker 6: That's cool though.
- 34:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I guess.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Are you rogue from X-Men?
- 34:36Speaker 4: Maybe. Fair.
- 34:39Speaker 7: They've increased significantly, though, and I'm not.
- 34:41Speaker 6: It's the hormones in the chicken.
- 34:42Speaker 4: I don't love it.
- 34:43Speaker 6: It is. The frogs.
- 34:45Speaker 7: It's the fluoride in the water.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Are we sure Gunner doesn't have blonde spots like you?
- 34:48Speaker 4: Just blonde. A little blonde spot. Yeah. A blonde patch
- 34:50Speaker 4: on the top.
- 34:51Speaker 6: That looks good.
- 34:51Speaker 2: His is actually in the front, though. You have hair
- 34:53Speaker 2: in the front.
- 34:54Speaker 4: That's a good point. I do. Sorry, Gunner.
- 34:56Speaker 6: What other games are you excited about? I mean, it's
- 34:59Speaker 6: a good slate.
- 35:00Speaker 5: No, it's a very good slate. And there's actually, like,
- 35:02Speaker 5: it's not just ranked on ranked, but it's... Yeah. I
- 35:04Speaker 5: think there's some that have Like, Indiana-Nebraska, I like that.
- 35:08Speaker 5: Indiana hasn't really played anybody. Nebraska looks like they're much better.
- 35:12Speaker 6: Well, Indiana played Northwestern, and we all thought it was.
- 35:15Speaker 2: That's true.
- 35:16Speaker 6: Okay, I meant to bring this up earlier, because I
- 35:18Speaker 6: feel like you would appreciate this more than anyone. Northwestern,
- 35:21Speaker 6: out here on a Friday night, in their little.
- 35:25Speaker 6: What do you call it?
- 35:26Speaker 4: Stadium?
- 35:27Speaker 6: That holds 30,000 people? It looks awesome. They unveiled the
- 35:30Speaker 6: new stadium.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Ryan Field?
- 35:32Speaker 6: Ryan Field. I don't love that, if it's a first name,
- 35:34Speaker 6: last name situation, but Okay. They run the wing tee?
- 35:38Speaker 6: The wing tee? That was fun to watch.
- 35:41Speaker 4: Chip Kelly?
- 35:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Yeah, Chip Kelly.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I mean, Ben Johnson's run a lot of wing tee
- 35:45Speaker 2: principles in the NFL. One step closer to fullbacks, buddy.
- 35:49Speaker 6: Dude, time is a flat circle.
- 35:52Speaker 2: One step closer.
- 35:53Speaker 6: I'm fired up for that game, though. I think there's
- 35:55Speaker 6: a couple. I mean, LSU, Kentucky, I wish that wasn't
- 35:58Speaker 6: at the same time as Georgia Bama. But even Red River.
- 36:03Speaker 4: Pelican Mars?
- 36:06Speaker 7: You coming this time? I'm going to be there for
- 36:08Speaker 7: the Kentucky game. Another watch party.
- 36:10Speaker 6: Favorite bar in the city.
- 36:12Speaker 7: You going to be there this time?
- 36:13Speaker 6: I'm not going to be at Pelican to Mars during
- 36:14Speaker 6: the Georgia-Bama game.
- 36:16Speaker 4: You don't want to do that in front of people?
- 36:17Speaker 6: I don't want to be.
- 36:17Speaker 8: It's so crazy how I'm so supportive of everybody, and
- 36:20Speaker 8: he doesn't want to support me.
- 36:21Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 36:22Speaker 2: That cut deep.
- 36:24Speaker 6: Let's have a conversation about this off air.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Hey, look, the Northwestern Stadium is nice, Chris.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Where is it at?
- 36:33Speaker 4: It's pretty cool.
- 36:34Speaker 6: I love supporting Pelican to Mars. First and foremost.
- 36:37Speaker 2: No, we're... We are working that out during the break.
- 36:41Speaker 6: So the stadium, they were playing in an erector set
- 36:44Speaker 6: last year that had 12,000 people.
- 36:45Speaker 2: It was kind of cool, though. Kind of.
- 36:47Speaker 4: On the water.
- 36:48Speaker 6: But it does nothing to take this program seriously. This
- 36:52Speaker 6: is cool.
- 36:52Speaker 4: That's a cool stadium.
- 36:54Speaker 6: This one is, yes.
- 36:55Speaker 4: Oh, you mean the other one? Yeah, yeah.
- 36:58Speaker 6: The last one was like a lacrosse field.
- 37:01Speaker 3: I also.
- 37:02Speaker 6: I know that people don't like this.
- 37:05Speaker 4: I think it's the overhang.
- 37:06Speaker 2: It's the overhang.
- 37:07Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 37:08Speaker 6: It kind of looks like Miami Stadium.
- 37:09Speaker 2: For me, it's green soccer to me.
- 37:11Speaker 4: It's very nice.
- 37:12Speaker 6: Women's soccer.
- 37:12Speaker 4: That wasn't a knock on anybody. That was an observation.
- 37:15Speaker 7: No, but it looks like a soccer stadium.
- 37:17Speaker 6: You were saying earlier how much you hate women's soccer.
- 37:19Speaker 6: I didn't know.
- 37:20Speaker 4: He hates all soccer.
- 37:21Speaker 6: Is that because of Megan Rapinoe?
- 37:22Speaker 4: I didn't say that. For one, I have two little
- 37:24Speaker 4: girls that play soccer right now, and I love it.
- 37:26Speaker 4: It's one of my favorite things to do all week.
- 37:28Speaker 6: That's girls' soccer. You said specifically. Can we run the
- 37:30Speaker 6: minutes back? I think it was.
- 37:32Speaker 4: I did mention this earlier, and I failed to follow through.
- 37:35Speaker 4: USAV Mexico, by the way, three nails.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Suck it, Danny.
- 37:37Speaker 6: Who's that 17-year-old kid that's awesome?
- 37:40Speaker 4: Yeah, Sullivan. He literally just turned 17.
- 37:42Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 37:43Speaker 2: I told my oldest son, I was like, hey, he's
- 37:45Speaker 2: younger than you, bud.
- 37:46Speaker 4: Step it up.
- 37:47Speaker 7: Wait, what were you going to.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Say? We're so all over the place right now. I
- 37:53Speaker 4: was talking about Keelan Russell earlier. I didn't even say
- 37:56Speaker 4: the Heisman odds. Oh, what were they? I was on
- 37:57Speaker 4: a cliffhanger.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Oh, he changed his name?
- 38:00Speaker 4: Oh, it was Keelan Russell. Keelan, yeah. That's what I said, Keelan.
- 38:04Speaker 4: So what were the odds? Am I saying it different?
- 38:06Speaker 6: Now he has the fourth best odds.
- 38:07Speaker 4: Jeremiah Smith, plus 110. How about that? For a non-quarterback,
- 38:11Speaker 4: being plus alien. Plus 110 is pretty much. He was
- 38:15Speaker 4: their offense against Iowa. Yeah, he was. He was there. Like,
- 38:18Speaker 4: if I was a betting man.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Every other game to get him.
- 38:22Speaker 4: I would take the next three quarterbacks right now because
- 38:25Speaker 4: the receiver is the highest odds, or the lowest odds.
- 38:27Speaker 4: Darian Mintz is at plus 500. CJ Carr and Keelan Russell,
- 38:31Speaker 4: plus 800. Plus 800.
- 38:34Speaker 6: Jeremiah Smith is incredible.
- 38:36Speaker 4: He absolutely is, but still.
- 38:37Speaker 6: It's always a quarterback award. And also, Darian Mensah. I
- 38:42Speaker 6: think right now you can bet on Miami getting the
- 38:45Speaker 6: number one overall seed at plus 1,400, which is insane
- 38:51Speaker 6: because I think– They beat Notre Dame, they get it.
- 38:54Speaker 6: I would think so. But, I mean, if Georgia goes
- 38:56Speaker 6: undefeated and beats Texas or vice versa, then they would
- 38:59Speaker 6: obviously get it. Um, but if they win against Notre Dame,
- 39:02Speaker 6: he's going to win the Heisman and they're going to
- 39:03Speaker 6: be the number one in the world. See, they don't
- 39:04Speaker 6: play anybody else. Love that Taylor.
- 39:08Speaker 9: No, I mean like, cause we talk about Notre Dame
- 39:09Speaker 9: schedule all the time. Miami's is weaker than Notre Dame.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah. Yeah, for sure.
- 39:14Speaker 6: Um, that noise just threw me off. Like not, I
- 39:21Speaker 6: called Taylor last week just to tell him that I
- 39:23Speaker 6: had to give, my vote to my man dancing, Rick.
- 39:26Speaker 6: It still makes me laugh. Like, months later.
- 39:29Speaker 9: You texted me and said, this is really important. And
- 39:31Speaker 9: I was calling you back. I was like, this is
- 39:33Speaker 9: not going to be. This is not going to be
- 39:34Speaker 9: really important.
- 39:40Speaker 4: You good?
- 39:41Speaker 6: That's the show.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Hey, we're going to be at Rouse's on Friday.
- 39:44Speaker 4: Okay.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Football Friday. Even though it's an away game, we'd like
- 39:47Speaker 2: to remind people we'll still be at Rouse's on Friday.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Every single Friday. Sushi guy?
- 39:52Speaker 2: Do crushed sushi at like 9 a.m.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Because we had two people that came.
- 39:56Speaker 5: From Lafayette to watch the show. And one of them
- 40:00Speaker 5: got sushi. And I was like, that looks incredible. Crushed
- 40:02Speaker 5: one at 9 a.m.
- 40:04Speaker 2: It was great. It was fantastic. The breakfast bar, the

- 42:14Speaker 4: All right, welcome back here. Off the Bench closing up
- 42:16Speaker 4: the show here on a Monday, Monday, Monday. Before we
- 42:21Speaker 4: get to this last segment, I want to tell you
- 42:22Speaker 4: about our friends over at Catalyst. When you think about Louisiana, Marler,
- 42:26Speaker 4: you think about energy. And one company helping shape the
- 42:29Speaker 4: future is Catalyst. They're exporting energy all over the world.
- 42:34Speaker 4: But it's about more than just exporting energy. It's about
- 42:36Speaker 4: creating Louisiana jobs, supporting local businesses, strengthening communities, and reinforcing
- 42:41Speaker 4: Louisiana's position as one of the world's leading energy hubs.
- 42:45Speaker 4: Through its natural gas production and the Commonwealth LNG project,
- 42:49Speaker 4: Cataris is helping build an integrated energy platform that connects
- 42:52Speaker 4: domestic resources with the growing global demand. As construction continues
- 42:56Speaker 4: on Louisiana's Gulf Coast, Caterus is proud to invest in
- 42:59Speaker 4: American energy, American workers, and a stronger economic future. Caterus,
- 43:02Speaker 4: connecting Louisiana energy to the world.
- 43:05Speaker 5: All right, we were talking about Tyreek Hill earlier, maybe
- 43:09Speaker 5: going back to the Chiefs. His agent, actually, Drew Rosenhaus,
- 43:13Speaker 5: said that he expects him to sign with a new
- 43:17Speaker 5: team over the next few days.
- 43:19Speaker 4: Wow.
- 43:20Speaker 6: Wow. What was the LSU? I don't know. Dang, I
- 43:25Speaker 6: thought it was going to bang.
- 43:25Speaker 2: That was like two months ago.
- 43:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it passed.
- 43:28Speaker 6: Man, it was a good show until then.
- 43:30Speaker 4: He said bang? Last time he said it right. What?
- 43:35Speaker 4: That was not great.
- 43:35Speaker 7: And he said juggling both hands and.
- 43:38Speaker 4: In his mouth. That's true. Okay. He did say that.
- 43:41Speaker 4: Of course we get called when you come on our show.
- 43:45Speaker 5: Little ass to the bench brought to you by Dos Equis.
- 43:47Speaker 5: Thought it was a great time to go for dos.
- 43:51Speaker 6: Look, look, look, look, look.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Hashtag ask the bench. This one's for you, Flynn.
- 43:55Speaker 7: He glugged and then winked at Taylor.
- 43:56Speaker 5: What happened to NFL quarterbacks not throwing the ball? 15
- 44:00Speaker 5: years ago, it was common to have 20 quarterbacks throw
- 44:03Speaker 5: for 300-plus on Sunday. Now it's a stretch to get
- 44:05Speaker 5: 20 quarterbacks over 200 yards.
- 44:08Speaker 4: Yesterday was a day for the defense. The defense was,
- 44:11Speaker 4: for the most part around the league, very low scoring.
- 44:15Speaker 4: So it is kind of, what is it, week four
- 44:17Speaker 4: in the NFL? I mean, defensive coordinators getting more tape.
- 44:21Speaker 4: All right, guys, and, you know, NFL is a ebbs
- 44:25Speaker 4: and flows, a roller coaster of who's on top, whether
- 44:27Speaker 4: defense is ahead, offense is ahead. They get used to something.
- 44:31Speaker 4: They watch film. They adjust. Now the offense will watch film.
- 44:34Speaker 4: They'll adjust. They all Cam Newton clip.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Oh, good. We watch film, too.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Watch this. Yeah.
- 44:42Speaker 7: The dab is back.
- 44:44Speaker 4: A dab is back in a big way.
- 44:46Speaker 7: They were dabbing last night. I don't know if it's
- 44:47Speaker 7: because they were playing at the Panthers.
- 44:51Speaker 2: I know, but it was back last night.
- 44:52Speaker 7: Yeah, it was back last night.
- 44:53Speaker 4: It's because of Matt, guys. We did it right here.
- 44:55Speaker 7: Dab-o.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Dab-o.
- 44:57Speaker 4: All right.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Ask the bench. Who makes a bigger impact tonight, Kendra
- 45:01Speaker 2: Miller or Alvin Kamara?
- 45:02Speaker 7: Kendra.
- 45:03Speaker 4: A.K. Alvin Kamara. I don't know if Kendra is going
- 45:06Speaker 4: to stay healthy.
- 45:07Speaker 6: If the Falcons throw the ball one time in this game,
- 45:11Speaker 6: hand it to B. John Robinson. A hundred times.
- 45:14Speaker 7: So that he can run straight into Chase Young.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Yeah. So they're going to lose. Yes, they're going to lose.
- 45:19Speaker 4: Tyler Shuck with over 400 plus.
- 45:21Speaker 6: Yep, probably. You can't hurt me as a Falcons. Yeah,
- 45:26Speaker 6: I don't care.
- 45:26Speaker 2: I'm not trying to hurt you.
- 45:28Speaker 4: I like you. I'm not trying to hurt you. Yeah.
- 45:30Speaker 8: All right.
- 45:31Speaker 6: 28-3.
- 45:31Speaker 5: Saints are going to beat the Falcons. Florida is going
- 45:34Speaker 5: to beat South Carolina. And Georgia is going to beat Alabama.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Off the bench. I don't know who Auburn plays. I
- 45:41Speaker 4: already said them too.
