- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, everybody, Welcome to the inside the Birds. NFL Week
- 0:13Speaker 1: fourteen preview. I'm Jeff Mosher, and just hearing those words
- 0:19Speaker 1: come out of my mouth. Week fourteen Preview is it's
- 0:24Speaker 1: almost like a shot to the solar plexus. It's down
- 0:29Speaker 1: the stretch they come, and to me, it feels like
- 0:32Speaker 1: just yesterday that the Eagles were four and oh you know,
- 0:36Speaker 1: you know, blocking field goals, returning to win games. They
- 0:40Speaker 1: were off to a great start. That's why I always say,
- 0:46Speaker 1: probably you're probably blue in the face already of me
- 0:49Speaker 1: say hearing me say it. But the first six seven
- 0:52Speaker 1: weeks they fly by, and now we're already in week fourteen.
- 0:57Speaker 1: After this, we only got four weeks left and then
- 1:00Speaker 1: it's playoffs and then next thing you know, it to
- 1:03Speaker 1: be February, and it's hard to believe. You know, you
- 1:06Speaker 1: got a lot of things going on in between the
- 1:08Speaker 1: holidays coming up, but for us to already be fourteen
- 1:12Speaker 1: weeks into the NFL season is mystifying to me. And listen,
- 1:19Speaker 1: like I said, down the stretch they come. There are
- 1:23Speaker 1: to me two enormous games, two games that have enormous
- 1:28Speaker 1: playoff implications, and then about three or four that also
- 1:33Speaker 1: have some big ones, but the one, the two that
- 1:37Speaker 1: really stand out. The first one is the NFC game.
- 1:40Speaker 1: It's the four to twenty five game. You got the
- 1:42Speaker 1: nine and three Bears, who are currently sitting as the
- 1:45Speaker 1: number one post right now in the NFC versus a
- 1:50Speaker 1: eight three to one Packers game, Packers team that is
- 1:56Speaker 1: getting its act together. And this is a huge, huge
- 2:00Speaker 1: game for the Packers, especially it is in Lambeau. The
- 2:05Speaker 1: Packers have won three in a row. They have scored
- 2:09Speaker 1: on average of about twenty five points in their last
- 2:14Speaker 1: three games. I'm just doing some quick math. Thirty one
- 2:17Speaker 1: versus the Lions, twenty three versus the Vikings, twenty seven
- 2:21Speaker 1: versus the Giants, so that's eighty one. I can't do
- 2:25Speaker 1: eighty one divided by three very quickly, so I apologize,
- 2:29Speaker 1: But I feel like it's somewhere in that mid twenty
- 2:32Speaker 1: point range that I'm talking about. And obviously, defensively they've
- 2:35Speaker 1: been very good. They held a Lions team on Thanksgiving
- 2:39Speaker 1: that has a lot of firepower to twenty four points,
- 2:42Speaker 1: and they held the Vikings team that stinks to six,
- 2:45Speaker 1: a Giants team that's not very good to twenty and
- 2:48Speaker 1: then you know, you saw what they did against the
- 2:50Speaker 1: Eagles and the Panthers. They lost those games, but they
- 2:52Speaker 1: only gave up ten points to the Eagles and sixteen
- 2:56Speaker 1: to the Panthers. So the Packers are very very good
- 3:00Speaker 1: defensive team. They have won six of the last eight games.
- 3:05Speaker 1: They're obviously playing a Bears team that is on fire,
- 3:08Speaker 1: a Bears team that has won eight of their last
- 3:10Speaker 1: nine games and has back to back wins, especially over
- 3:15Speaker 1: the Steelers and the Eagles. So the Bears have cemented
- 3:19Speaker 1: they have solidified themselves as not the Bears that you remember.
- 3:23Speaker 1: They're not the Bears of the old. They're for real
- 3:27Speaker 1: to an extent. I mean, they still have an erratic
- 3:29Speaker 1: passing game. Their strength of victory is the lowest of
- 3:34Speaker 1: any NFL team with a that is a division leader
- 3:40Speaker 1: or sitting in a playoff spot. At the moment, it's
- 3:44Speaker 1: three forty one. The second worst would be the Patriots
- 3:48Speaker 1: at three to forty three. Okay, actually of the Seattle
- 3:53Speaker 1: which would be the fifth seed right now in the NFC.
- 3:56Speaker 1: So clearly the Patriots and the Bears have benefit from
- 4:00Speaker 1: playing the schedule. But that's just the way it is
- 4:02Speaker 1: the NFL. You know, the twenty seventeen. Eagles had a
- 4:06Speaker 1: very very easy schedule and they cake walked their way
- 4:11Speaker 1: to I think it was twelve wins, and they could
- 4:13Speaker 1: have been more if they played more at the you know,
- 4:15Speaker 1: Carson got hurt, Nick Foles took over the last two
- 4:19Speaker 1: games of the year. They didn't treat like real games.
- 4:21Speaker 1: But the point is they benefited from a cakewalk schedule.
- 4:24Speaker 1: But that didn't mean they were bad teams. They just
- 4:27Speaker 1: had a cakewalk schedule. And obviously the Eagles won the
- 4:30Speaker 1: Super Bowl that year. I don't know if I consider
- 4:33Speaker 1: the Bears true Super Bowl contenders. We will find out
- 4:36Speaker 1: over the next few weeks. And the same thing with
- 4:40Speaker 1: the New England Patriots. But I will say this, like
- 4:42Speaker 1: I said last week, this is a wide open NFL.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Everybody knows that there are probably six or seven teams
- 4:51Speaker 1: right now that if they you told me, if you
- 4:54Speaker 1: gave me the crystal ball and said this team is
- 4:57Speaker 1: in the Super Bowl where this team will win the
- 4:59Speaker 1: Super Bowl, I wouldn't argue with you because it's that
- 5:04Speaker 1: wide open. And this week in particular, like I mentioned,
- 5:08Speaker 1: two very big games, So that game for the Bears
- 5:12Speaker 1: and the Packers, and really for me, you know if
- 5:15Speaker 1: the Bears don't. I think the Packers have more at
- 5:18Speaker 1: stakes only because of what is expected of them. Honestly,
- 5:23Speaker 1: if the Bears, you know, if the Bears had a
- 5:27Speaker 1: bad stretch here, let me just give you the Bear
- 5:29Speaker 1: schedule real quick, Packers this weekend, then Browns, Packers, forty
- 5:35Speaker 1: nine Ers, and Lions. If the Bears were to lose
- 5:39Speaker 1: to the Packers twice and the Lions, but beat the
- 5:42Speaker 1: Browns and forty nine ers, right, if they were to
- 5:44Speaker 1: finish two and three and finish eleven and six, guess
- 5:50Speaker 1: what that is great for the Bear I know they'll
- 5:53Speaker 1: be upset. I know Bears fans right now probably think
- 5:55Speaker 1: their team is amazing. Everybody remembers what you did last
- 5:59Speaker 1: and right now, you know, everybody remembers the Bears just
- 6:01Speaker 1: humiliating the Eagles with the ground game. But they're still
- 6:04Speaker 1: the Bears. And again, they don't have a whole lot
- 6:07Speaker 1: of quality wins. So if they went two and three,
- 6:10Speaker 1: if they went one in four even and finished ten
- 6:14Speaker 1: and seven, honestly, for the Bears there they went four
- 6:18Speaker 1: games last year. They won five games last year. So
- 6:24Speaker 1: if that were to happened to the Bears, who you know,
- 6:27Speaker 1: nobody saw being nine and three at this point. I
- 6:30Speaker 1: still think you would look at the Bears as a
- 6:31Speaker 1: team that is growing. Will add is young, even more
- 6:36Speaker 1: so than the Commanders last year, because the Commanders, we know,
- 6:38Speaker 1: have a very old roster, but not the Bears. The
- 6:40Speaker 1: Bears have some really good young talent, and I think
- 6:46Speaker 1: that they they are looking like a team that will
- 6:49Speaker 1: be formidable, and that Ben Johnson did a good job
- 6:51Speaker 1: and Dennis Allen did a very good job. I'm not
- 6:54Speaker 1: saying I think the Bears are going to crash. What
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm just saying, simply saying, is I think the Packers
- 6:58Speaker 1: are a better overall team, and I think the Packers
- 7:01Speaker 1: have a lot more to play for. That tie they
- 7:05Speaker 1: had against the Cowboys Week four might really come in
- 7:08Speaker 1: handy when it comes to tiebreaker situations, and right now
- 7:13Speaker 1: they are technically I guess what the Bears being nine
- 7:19Speaker 1: and three and the Packers being eight three and one.
- 7:23Speaker 1: It's like being out a half a game behind instead
- 7:26Speaker 1: of a full game behind. So the Packers can make
- 7:30Speaker 1: some noise here in the NFC North with a win,
- 7:35Speaker 1: and then if they don't win, it's not going to
- 7:39Speaker 1: be the worst thing. I mean the Bears would get
- 7:40Speaker 1: to ten wins, the Packers would stay at eight, but
- 7:43Speaker 1: they get to play each other again in two weeks. Now.
- 7:46Speaker 1: The problem for the Packers is their schedule is Bears, Broncos, Bears,
- 7:52Speaker 1: Ravens Vikings. So the point I'm gonna make here is this,
- 7:58Speaker 1: if the Packers can win at least one of these
- 8:01Speaker 1: games against the Bears, even the series there, okay, and
- 8:06Speaker 1: then when one or two of those games get the
- 8:10Speaker 1: ten wins, will probably get in as a wild card.
- 8:14Speaker 1: But it's gonna be tough. But if they beat the
- 8:16Speaker 1: Bears and win four straight, they will look like the
- 8:20Speaker 1: team that they were supposed to look like. And to me,
- 8:24Speaker 1: they're a team that I think can make a late
- 8:27Speaker 1: push here and really start to get their act together.
- 8:30Speaker 1: They're getting healthier on offense. You just saw D'antavian Wicks
- 8:34Speaker 1: have the game of his life. You know they're hopeful
- 8:38Speaker 1: from what it sounds like about getting Jaden Reid back
- 8:41Speaker 1: for this game. If he doesn't play, it sounds like
- 8:44Speaker 1: he'll definitely play against the Broncos. So you get Jaden
- 8:47Speaker 1: Reid back, Christian Watson's playing well, wis You got Romeo
- 8:52Speaker 1: so you have your full receiving corps. Jacobs has been
- 8:55Speaker 1: beat up and he's getting healthier. In general, I think
- 8:58Speaker 1: you really like especially if the Packers win this game.
- 9:00Speaker 1: If the Packers win this game, I think that that
- 9:03Speaker 1: is going to be their own statement that they're back.
- 9:07Speaker 1: That you know, they struggled offensively, they had some blips
- 9:11Speaker 1: along the way, but when you all said and done,
- 9:14Speaker 1: they're gonna be what they're supposed to be. And then
- 9:17Speaker 1: of course it'll give them put them in a driver's seat.
- 9:20Speaker 1: They probably could afford to lose that game, that rematch
- 9:24Speaker 1: against the Bears in two weeks, as long as they
- 9:26Speaker 1: can either beat the Broncos or finish strong. But if
- 9:29Speaker 1: you win and then beat the Bears again in two
- 9:31Speaker 1: weeks in Chicago, then you are really in the driver's seat.
- 9:36Speaker 1: So and it looks like to me the Packers should
- 9:39Speaker 1: be again very very I don't want to say likely,
- 9:45Speaker 1: but if they win, if they beat this Bears team,
- 9:48Speaker 1: and if they get to nine to three and one,
- 9:53Speaker 1: depending on what happens with the Rams and the Eagles,
- 9:57Speaker 1: they could leap into the number one seat. Imagine that
- 10:00Speaker 1: they're right now the six seed. A couple of weeks ago,
- 10:02Speaker 1: everyone thought the Packers stink. Their offense is terrible, Jordan
- 10:06Speaker 1: Love isn't that good? And then all you know, a week,
- 10:08Speaker 1: a couple of weeks later, they could beat the Bears
- 10:10Speaker 1: and potentially hop in to the number one seed. If
- 10:14Speaker 1: they don't's not the end of the world. They got
- 10:15Speaker 1: the Bears in two weeks again, but that'll be in Chicago.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And then for Chicago if they win and get to
- 10:21Speaker 1: ten and three, man, are they really cruising? Okay? If
- 10:25Speaker 1: the Bears win and get to ten and three with
- 10:27Speaker 1: the Browns and Packers again up next, Now you got
- 10:31Speaker 1: to close out against the forty nine Ers, who have
- 10:33Speaker 1: been tough and the Lions, who have been tough. But
- 10:35Speaker 1: if you're good enough to beat the Packers to get
- 10:37Speaker 1: to ten and three, I got to think you're good
- 10:39Speaker 1: enough to win two of your last four and maybe
- 10:41Speaker 1: get to that twelve wins, and that might get them
- 10:44Speaker 1: the number one seed, depending on what happens with the
- 10:47Speaker 1: Eagles and the Rams. So that is to me, the
- 10:50Speaker 1: biggest game in the NFC. Now in the AFC, you
- 10:54Speaker 1: got I hate that I'm calling it one of the
- 10:58Speaker 1: biggest games because I've not in on this team at all.
- 11:01Speaker 1: But I got to give them their respect. The Jacksonville Jaguars,
- 11:05Speaker 1: they are going to be playing the Indianapolis Colts, and
- 11:12Speaker 1: right now the Jaguars are eight and four. The Colts
- 11:17Speaker 1: are eight and four as well so, but the Jaguars
- 11:21Speaker 1: are right now ahead of them in the standings. They
- 11:26Speaker 1: haven't played yet, so this is a lot like the
- 11:28Speaker 1: Green Bay Chicago thing. The Colts and Jaguars will meet
- 11:33Speaker 1: again in week seventeen, so it's not that there's a
- 11:38Speaker 1: pressure on either of these teams to win this game,
- 11:41Speaker 1: because they'll get a chance. But you gotta remember two
- 11:43Speaker 1: things about this this game. One is that the remaining
- 11:50Speaker 1: schedule is going to benefit one team over the other.
- 11:53Speaker 1: The Jaguars play the Colts. After that they get the Jets,
- 11:56Speaker 1: the Broncos, the Colts again, and the Titans. So they
- 11:59Speaker 1: got toughy there with the Broncos. But they get the
- 12:01Speaker 1: Jets and the Titans on the schedule. That should be
- 12:04Speaker 1: good if you're Indianapolis, I'm sorry if you're Jacksonville. Indianapolis
- 12:08Speaker 1: has to play Seattle, has to play San Francisco, and
- 12:11Speaker 1: then after play they play the Jags again, they have
- 12:13Speaker 1: to play Houston. That is a really really difficult schedule,
- 12:18Speaker 1: especially for a team that is now eight and four
- 12:21Speaker 1: after losing three of their last four games and two straight.
- 12:25Speaker 1: So right then and there, I think this is more
- 12:27Speaker 1: important game for the Colts because of the schedule, but
- 12:30Speaker 1: it's important for both of them really because of the
- 12:34Speaker 1: Houston Texans. The Houston Texans are not that far behind.
- 12:38Speaker 1: They're seven and five, all right. They are seven and five,
- 12:42Speaker 1: and they've already beaten the Colts feather in the Cap,
- 12:46Speaker 1: and they've already beaten the Jags feather in their cap,
- 12:50Speaker 1: all right, So they're one and one against the Jags,
- 12:51Speaker 1: so that's I don't obviously the tiebreaker if those two
- 12:55Speaker 1: teams tied for the division would have to come from
- 12:58Speaker 1: conference record or a common opponent forget how it goes.
- 13:01Speaker 1: But the Texans have the Chiefs this weekend, so they
- 13:03Speaker 1: got their own difficult opponent to worry about. But they
- 13:08Speaker 1: finished Cardinals, Raiders, Chargers before they play the Colts again,
- 13:14Speaker 1: so they got two. I don't call them layups. I
- 13:16Speaker 1: hate calling any game layups, but Cardinals and Raiders in
- 13:20Speaker 1: the next two weeks compared to say, Seahawks forty nine
- 13:25Speaker 1: ers like the Colts, this is. It's fascinating, and I
- 13:29Speaker 1: really like the Texans. You guys heard me talk about
- 13:31Speaker 1: them last show. I really believe the Texans can make
- 13:36Speaker 1: a move here. If they beat Kansas City and get
- 13:38Speaker 1: the eight and five, whoever loses the Jacksonville Indianapolis game
- 13:41Speaker 1: is going to be eight and five, and then Houston
- 13:44Speaker 1: will probably jump over that team into probably the sixth seed,
- 13:50Speaker 1: maybe the fifth, depending on what the Chargers Eagles game
- 13:53Speaker 1: is gonna be. So this is a great three horse race.
- 13:56Speaker 1: This reminds me a little bit of the NFC North
- 14:00Speaker 1: race last year between the Lions, between the Vikings, and
- 14:04Speaker 1: between the Packers. Those were all three very good teams.
- 14:09Speaker 1: The Lions were there for the whole way. I mean,
- 14:11Speaker 1: they only lost two games, but you always felt like
- 14:15Speaker 1: the Packers and the Vikings were nipping at their heels.
- 14:20Speaker 1: And this case is a little bit different because it
- 14:22Speaker 1: started off with the Colts being there. Now it's Jacksonville,
- 14:25Speaker 1: and two weeks from now, if it was Houston, that
- 14:27Speaker 1: wouldn't surprise me. And if all three AFC South teams
- 14:31Speaker 1: wind up making the playoffs, that would also not surprise me.
- 14:35Speaker 1: So those are really the two games that really jump
- 14:39Speaker 1: out to me on the schedule this week. If you're
- 14:43Speaker 1: looking from a betting line standpoint, Jacksonville, Indianapolis, the Colts
- 14:51Speaker 1: are favored by one and a half in Jacksonville, which
- 14:53Speaker 1: is kind of interesting, all right, Colts are favored even
- 14:56Speaker 1: though Jacksonville currently quote unquote has the advantage. And in
- 15:00Speaker 1: Chicago Green Bay game. This is now, this one's astonishing.
- 15:05Speaker 1: For all I just talked about this game and what
- 15:08Speaker 1: it means and the significance and how much pressure there
- 15:11Speaker 1: is on Green Bay. You would think this would be
- 15:13Speaker 1: the type of battle, you know, divisional battle that's going
- 15:16Speaker 1: to come down to the wire will Vegas. The odds
- 15:19Speaker 1: makers have Green Bay as a six and a half
- 15:21Speaker 1: point favorite, So that's pretty substantial for a team that
- 15:27Speaker 1: is actually has a lesser record than the team that
- 15:30Speaker 1: they're playing. We know that doesn't mean anything, but I
- 15:33Speaker 1: think green Bay six and a half point favorite shows
- 15:36Speaker 1: you that people believe the Packers. Certainly Vegas, I believe
- 15:41Speaker 1: the Packers are the real deal here and that they're
- 15:44Speaker 1: the better team than Chicago and we'll take care of business.
- 15:47Speaker 1: That's the four to twenty five Fox game. A lot
- 15:48Speaker 1: of people will have the opportunity to watch. It should
- 15:51Speaker 1: be very, very exciting. Now the other games that I
- 15:55Speaker 1: think have interest and will also I mentioned Houston came
- 16:00Speaker 1: the city. I mean, this is a huge game for
- 16:03Speaker 1: the Texans. They're trying to stay in it. You know,
- 16:05Speaker 1: if they've won four in a row. They are scoring
- 16:09Speaker 1: points now, not a ton. They beat the Colts twenty
- 16:12Speaker 1: to sixteen. They beat the Bills twenty three to nineteen.
- 16:15Speaker 1: All right, they're not scoring a ton of points. But
- 16:17Speaker 1: remember what they were doing earlier in the year. First
- 16:19Speaker 1: three games, it was fourteen to nine to the Rams,
- 16:21Speaker 1: they lose twenty to nineteen to the Bucks, they lose
- 16:23Speaker 1: seventeen to ten to the Jags, And ever since then
- 16:26Speaker 1: they have won seven of nine games. And their defense
- 16:30Speaker 1: is incredible. And right now they're getting ready to play
- 16:33Speaker 1: a Chiefs team that has injuries all over the offensive line.
- 16:37Speaker 1: The left tackle is not going to play. The right
- 16:39Speaker 1: guard Tray Smith doesn't sound like he's gonna play. The
- 16:42Speaker 1: right tackle. Jwan Taylor might not play. You do not
- 16:45Speaker 1: want to play this Houston Texans defensive front with Anderson
- 16:50Speaker 1: and Hunter and all those guys that they can throw
- 16:52Speaker 1: at you, and a great secondary too. You don't want
- 16:55Speaker 1: to play this Houston Texans defensive front if you don't
- 16:58Speaker 1: have a good offensive line or you don't have a
- 17:00Speaker 1: healthy offensive line. So I really like the Texans in
- 17:04Speaker 1: this game. It is in Kansas City. You never want
- 17:06Speaker 1: to count the Chiefs out. Chiefs are a weird team.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I mean, all their advanced analytics say that their offense
- 17:13Speaker 1: is as good as ever, and yet you look at
- 17:16Speaker 1: what they're doing. I mean they do score points, but
- 17:19Speaker 1: their defense. They lost thirty one to twenty eight to
- 17:21Speaker 1: the Cowboys, lost twenty two nineteen to the Broncos. They
- 17:25Speaker 1: just barely beat the Colt twenty three to twenty only
- 17:27Speaker 1: score twenty one against the Bills. They've lost three of four.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I mean this, The only reason why I think you
- 17:33Speaker 1: would favor the Chiefs in this matchup is because they
- 17:37Speaker 1: are the Chiefs, and because Mahomes, and because of Reid,
- 17:42Speaker 1: and because it is a do or die game, and
- 17:45Speaker 1: nobody wants to count the Chiefs out of a due
- 17:47Speaker 1: or die game. They're actually three and a half point favorites.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I think Houston's gonna win the game. I really do.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I just think that when the Chiefs don't have a
- 17:55Speaker 1: good offensive line and they go up against a great
- 17:58Speaker 1: defensive front and kind of remind you of what happened
- 18:00Speaker 1: in the Super Bowl, and just too many backups. Patrick
- 18:04Speaker 1: Mahomes will be asked to do too much. They still
- 18:07Speaker 1: don't have a great running game, so that their ball
- 18:09Speaker 1: control is going to be dubious. And there's a lot,
- 18:13Speaker 1: there's a lot riding on it for both teams, but
- 18:16Speaker 1: very specifically the Kansas City Chiefs. They got to save
- 18:20Speaker 1: their season. But Houston knows. Houston knows what's at stake here.
- 18:25Speaker 1: They know the Jags and Cults are playing each other
- 18:27Speaker 1: and one of those teams has to lose unless they
- 18:29Speaker 1: both die, of course, but the odds are one of
- 18:32Speaker 1: those teams will lose and Houston will have a chance
- 18:34Speaker 1: to keep moving up in the standings. Remember they were
- 18:38Speaker 1: a playoff team last year. The Texans played that. This
- 18:41Speaker 1: is actually their game against the Chiefs is a rematch
- 18:44Speaker 1: I believe of the Divisional round in the AFC last year.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Some other games of interest, well we'll just go through.
- 18:53Speaker 1: By the way, I wanted to talk about the Dallas
- 18:55Speaker 1: Detroit game. Bad job by Dallas' defense. I mean, I
- 19:01Speaker 1: know you're playing the Lions. I know you got Jamir Gibbs,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you got Jamison Williams, but they are offensive lines beat up.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Unfortunately for the Lions, they lost Branch. That team cannot
- 19:10Speaker 1: escape losing significant players to injuries. I don't know how
- 19:15Speaker 1: or what the issue is. It might be one of
- 19:17Speaker 1: those old school Dan Campbell how they practice things. But
- 19:21Speaker 1: at some point the Lions are going to have to
- 19:24Speaker 1: look and say, is it just bad luck or is
- 19:27Speaker 1: it something we're doing? Is there some way we can
- 19:31Speaker 1: change our process from OTA's to training camp to the season.
- 19:36Speaker 1: And I don't know what their process is. I don't
- 19:37Speaker 1: know if they use all of their alloted padded practices.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I don't know if they hit at training camp. I'm
- 19:43Speaker 1: not pretending to know any of that stuff. I know
- 19:45Speaker 1: Dan Campbell comes from the Bill Parcells school, so I'm
- 19:48Speaker 1: gonna assume a little bit that he likes an Oklahoma
- 19:51Speaker 1: drill here and there at practice. Okay, I'm gonna assume
- 19:54Speaker 1: it is. I could be wrong, But the point I'm
- 19:57Speaker 1: making is when you go through two straight years of
- 20:00Speaker 1: losing really significant players left and right, left and right,
- 20:06Speaker 1: you gotta look at your process and see if there's
- 20:08Speaker 1: an issue there. You know that happened to the Eagles
- 20:10Speaker 1: twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen, even twenty and seventeen when they
- 20:12Speaker 1: won all they made some changes and they're one of
- 20:15Speaker 1: the healthier teams in the league. You know, they follow
- 20:18Speaker 1: the Rams lead. And the Rams are one of those
- 20:20Speaker 1: teams that doesn't hit a training camp, doesn't play players
- 20:23Speaker 1: in the preseason, doesn't believe in that stuff. Well, guess what,
- 20:26Speaker 1: the Rams are looking pretty good right now. We'll get
- 20:28Speaker 1: to them in a second. I know they're coming off
- 20:29Speaker 1: a loss, but you know, the Rams are one of
- 20:31Speaker 1: those teams that if I said, you gave me a
- 20:32Speaker 1: crystal ball and you put what, you know, a couple
- 20:35Speaker 1: of teams said that was the team that is in
- 20:38Speaker 1: the Super Bowl, the Rams could be won. I could
- 20:40Speaker 1: believe it. Could the Lions be Now they're eight and
- 20:43Speaker 1: five and they will get a nice little mini by now.
- 20:47Speaker 1: They'll have the Rams ironically next week after that, and
- 20:52Speaker 1: then they all the Steelers, the Vikings and the Bears.
- 20:56Speaker 1: So can the Rams go too and three in the
- 21:00Speaker 1: next two and one? I mean, you know, loose to
- 21:02Speaker 1: the Rams beat the Steelers of Vikings, that would make
- 21:04Speaker 1: them nine and seven with a very important game against
- 21:08Speaker 1: the Bears. You know, to get to maybe ten and seven.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Would ten and seven do it? That's tough, man. Right now,
- 21:16Speaker 1: your fifth seed is Seattle. They already have nine wins.
- 21:18Speaker 1: And if Seattle knocks the Rams out into the into
- 21:23Speaker 1: the seed, you know, the wildcard round, then the Rams
- 21:25Speaker 1: already have nine wins. San Francisco already has nine wins,
- 21:29Speaker 1: Green Bay has eight, so if they knock Chicago or
- 21:32Speaker 1: Chicago's got nine wins, so it'll be interesting. I mean,
- 21:37Speaker 1: Detroit's got eight, but San Francisco, green Bay, Seattle all
- 21:43Speaker 1: still have to play. Detroit just played to get the
- 21:46Speaker 1: eighth to win, so they could be two games behind
- 21:49Speaker 1: these teams with just a few weeks left. Of four
- 21:52Speaker 1: weeks left, so it'll be difficult if they don't beat
- 21:56Speaker 1: the Rams in week fifteen and then leave themselves in
- 21:59Speaker 1: a situation where they have to beat the Steelers and
- 22:01Speaker 1: Vikings and then the Bears in the season finale. I
- 22:04Speaker 1: think I think it's doable, just not easy. I mean,
- 22:09Speaker 1: they really put themselves in a bind when they lost
- 22:11Speaker 1: to the Packers on Thanksgiving and obviously beating the Cowboys
- 22:15Speaker 1: save their season. And speaking of the Cowboys, I'm not
- 22:18Speaker 1: gonna put the official nail in their coffin. But you know,
- 22:23Speaker 1: if the Eagles beat the Rams and get to nine
- 22:25Speaker 1: wins and Dallas is sitting there at six six and one,
- 22:30Speaker 1: it's going to be awfully difficult, especially if the Dallas
- 22:33Speaker 1: defense isn't going to show up anymore after you know,
- 22:36Speaker 1: convincing everybody it was back after beating you know, the
- 22:40Speaker 1: Raiders and the Eagles and the Chiefs, and then you
- 22:42Speaker 1: have a lot of points in the Chiefs. But they
- 22:44Speaker 1: won the game, they got Vikings, Chargers, Commanders, Giants. Honestly,
- 22:49Speaker 1: they could probably run the table, they really could. That
- 22:53Speaker 1: would get them to ten. If they ran the table,
- 22:54Speaker 1: that would get them to ten wins. But but we
- 22:58Speaker 1: just talked about the Lions. Ian's finished with ten wins. Well,
- 23:01Speaker 1: the Cowboys lose that tiebreaker out, so it's gonna be
- 23:04Speaker 1: very difficult. You know, ten wins doesn't feel like ten
- 23:07Speaker 1: wins is definitely going to do it. Might be the
- 23:09Speaker 1: seventh seed who has it. You know, the forty nine
- 23:12Speaker 1: Ers again are a team that has played really well
- 23:15Speaker 1: and they already right now are sitting there with nine wins.
- 23:19Speaker 1: And let's look at the forty nine ers schedule over
- 23:22Speaker 1: the last few weeks, because that's another team that teams
- 23:25Speaker 1: like Dallas and Detroit are looking up at. They're off
- 23:29Speaker 1: this week. By the way Week four team buys, they
- 23:32Speaker 1: just suck, all right, having a buy and Week fourteen
- 23:36Speaker 1: just blows. They gotta figure out a way to get
- 23:38Speaker 1: the bye weeks for every team done before Thanksgiving. But anyway,
- 23:43Speaker 1: the Niners finish Titans, Colts, Bears, Seahawks, that's not easy. Now.
- 23:54Speaker 1: They should get to ten with the Titans. That's a
- 23:58Speaker 1: huge game for them because if they get to ten
- 24:01Speaker 1: with three weeks to go, you've already hit that double
- 24:04Speaker 1: digit baseline and it puts you in a better position
- 24:07Speaker 1: than Dallas and perhaps Detroit, Colts, Bear, Seahawks. If you
- 24:13Speaker 1: win one of those three, you're probably sitting pretty I mean,
- 24:17Speaker 1: you might even win the division the way the NFC
- 24:20Speaker 1: West is right now. Remember, the forty nine ers are
- 24:23Speaker 1: a little fortunate they got that early win against the
- 24:26Speaker 1: Rams in Week five, right before the Rams really hit
- 24:28Speaker 1: their stride, because then they lost to the Rams badly
- 24:32Speaker 1: in Week ten. All right, they got their win against
- 24:35Speaker 1: the Seahawks in Week one seventeen thirteen, which was great
- 24:40Speaker 1: because the Seahawks are not now what they were in
- 24:44Speaker 1: Week one, the Seahawks are a lot better, and then
- 24:46Speaker 1: they'll have to wait and play each other again in
- 24:48Speaker 1: the season finale. So the Niners aren't that great of
- 24:50Speaker 1: a team. They're really well coached. They've overcome great injuries,
- 24:54Speaker 1: a terrific number of injuries. I mean, to be where
- 24:58Speaker 1: they are. They've had a cake schedule. The toughest teams
- 25:01Speaker 1: they played at the right time Seahawks Week one. They
- 25:04Speaker 1: played the Rams week five, obviously, that really helped them out.
- 25:09Speaker 1: They played the Panthers a couple of weeks ago. They
- 25:11Speaker 1: won the game twenty to nine. That looks like an
- 25:13Speaker 1: impressive win at this point because any given week the
- 25:16Speaker 1: Panthers look like they're a really good team. Sometimes they
- 25:18Speaker 1: look like they stink. But the bottom line is the
- 25:20Speaker 1: forty nine ers won it. But this is a interesting
- 25:24Speaker 1: schedule for them. They should get that tenth win coming
- 25:27Speaker 1: out of the buy against the Titans. After that, Colts, Bears, Seahawks.
- 25:32Speaker 1: So they only have one NFC West game left, which
- 25:35Speaker 1: kind of favors them because if they beat the Seahawks,
- 25:38Speaker 1: they will have a season sweep of them. They'll have
- 25:40Speaker 1: a tie against the Rams and then it'll come down
- 25:43Speaker 1: to some other things within the conference and common opponents.
- 25:48Speaker 1: So the forty nine ers are in a good position
- 25:50Speaker 1: here and they have to buy they're getting rest. All
- 25:54Speaker 1: the credit in the world to Robert Sala and Kyle Shanahan.
- 25:57Speaker 1: They have done an unbelievable job with that team. The
- 26:02Speaker 1: Seahawks should keep it going. They are six and a
- 26:04Speaker 1: half point favorites in Atlanta. Atlanta is one of the
- 26:06Speaker 1: most disappointed teams in the NFL. I feel like I
- 26:08Speaker 1: say that every week. So Seattle should have no problem
- 26:12Speaker 1: keeping the heat on everybody else in the NFC West
- 26:15Speaker 1: and in the conference. And again, if they beat the
- 26:18Speaker 1: Falcons and get to ten and three and the Rams,
- 26:22Speaker 1: for whatever reason, slip up against the Cardinals, then it's
- 26:25Speaker 1: gonna be really interesting because those two teams will then
- 26:27Speaker 1: play each other again in two weeks, and the Rams
- 26:30Speaker 1: already have beaten the Seahawks, but at the Seahawks can
- 26:33Speaker 1: tie it up, then get the win and the revenge.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Then all of a sudden, you're looking at the Seahawks
- 26:37Speaker 1: as one of those top three teams. That's another team,
- 26:39Speaker 1: crystal ball team could the Seahawks beat in the Super Bowl.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I'm not gonna argue it. They played great. If they
- 26:46Speaker 1: win like they should, they'll be ten and three, so
- 26:49Speaker 1: they'll be just as good from a record standpoint as
- 26:52Speaker 1: anybody else. And if you want to know, they're a
- 26:55Speaker 1: little bit like New England and Chicago and that their
- 26:59Speaker 1: strength of win is only three forty three point three
- 27:03Speaker 1: four to three, so it's one of the lower ones
- 27:05Speaker 1: in the NFC or in the NFL entirely. So I
- 27:08Speaker 1: wouldn't say they're the favorites to get to the Super Bowl,
- 27:11Speaker 1: but they've certainly played well. Interestingly for them, all three
- 27:15Speaker 1: of their losses are within the NFC, so a couple
- 27:19Speaker 1: of tie breakers they'd probably lose out on for seeding purposes. Hey,
- 27:23Speaker 1: one thing that always scares me is the latest financial scam.

- 29:30Speaker 1: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans. Twenty
- 29:33Speaker 1: one and up. Let's see who else we got. We got? Okay,
- 29:36Speaker 1: good game, Bengals at Bills. All right, the Bills are
- 29:40Speaker 1: six point favorites. The Bengals got Joe Burrow back, and
- 29:45Speaker 1: then all of a sudden they became, just like last year,
- 29:48Speaker 1: a totally different team, and they beat the Ravens in
- 29:51Speaker 1: Baltimore thirty two to fourteen. I mean, think about that.
- 29:54Speaker 1: They went in to Baltimore and held the Ravens to
- 29:58Speaker 1: fourteen points turnovers for the Ravens, So I don't want
- 30:02Speaker 1: to make it seem like, you know, sometimes those things
- 30:04Speaker 1: are fluky and they're not a big deal. I think
- 30:07Speaker 1: five five turnovers, Okay, the Ravens never have five turnovers.
- 30:12Speaker 1: So I'm not gonna look at this game and make
- 30:15Speaker 1: some kind of long term conclusion that the Ravens aren't
- 30:17Speaker 1: what we thought they were or this is a huge blip.
- 30:21Speaker 1: I mean, they still to me are the favorites to
- 30:23Speaker 1: win the AFC North. But the bottom line is this
- 30:27Speaker 1: has happened last year when Burrow came back and he
- 30:31Speaker 1: powered the Bengals to all those wins. Remember last year
- 30:35Speaker 1: they were I forget what their record was, but they
- 30:38Speaker 1: won their last five games of the year. They were
- 30:41Speaker 1: four and eight, and then all of a sudden bam,
- 30:44Speaker 1: they beat Cowboys and the Titans, and the Browns, the Broncos, Steelers,
- 30:48Speaker 1: and they're nine to eight. But they did just miss
- 30:50Speaker 1: out on the playoffs. Here they're four and eight, got
- 30:54Speaker 1: the Bills, the Ravens, then the Dolphins, Cardinals, and Browns.
- 30:58Speaker 1: So let me tell you this, they get if they
- 31:00Speaker 1: can beat the Bills and then beating the Ravens again
- 31:03Speaker 1: and get to six and eight and then have a
- 31:05Speaker 1: chance to play Dolphins, Cardinals, Browns back to back back
- 31:09Speaker 1: to end the year, get to nine. Could you believe
- 31:12Speaker 1: that they could get to nine and eight and not
- 31:15Speaker 1: make the playoffs again? Actually, if they did that and
- 31:19Speaker 1: swept the Ravens, they probably have a pretty good chance
- 31:22Speaker 1: of winning the AFC North, right, because well at all
- 31:28Speaker 1: it would sort of be no. Let me just nine
- 31:30Speaker 1: and eight might not win the NFC North because even
- 31:33Speaker 1: if the Ravens lose, can fall to six and seven,
- 31:39Speaker 1: I'm sorry, even if they yeah, even the Raiders play
- 31:41Speaker 1: the Steelers. That's this is a big game, that's right,
- 31:43Speaker 1: that's what I want to get to. So I think
- 31:46Speaker 1: the Ravens will win, so they'll be seven and six,
- 31:49Speaker 1: all right. Then they'll play the Bengals. So let's say
- 31:51Speaker 1: they lost that game for whatever and got seven and seven,
- 31:54Speaker 1: all right, Patriots, Packers, Steelers for the Ravens. That's that's
- 31:59Speaker 1: really gonna actually be tough. Patriots, Packers, Steelers to end
- 32:04Speaker 1: the year for the Ravens. I mean, of all those teams,
- 32:08Speaker 1: you know, the Ravens are the easiest team. However, you know,
- 32:11Speaker 1: playing the Ravens twice the Steelers twice in five weeks.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Probably isn't ideal for the Ravens unless they're gonna win
- 32:17Speaker 1: these games. Now they're they're healthy. The thing about Lamar
- 32:20Speaker 1: is he's had one of those snake pit in years.
- 32:23Speaker 1: It's been unhealthy with the hamstring. Then they came back
- 32:25Speaker 1: one a bunch of games in a row, then they
- 32:27Speaker 1: lose to the Bengals, they have this weird turnover game,
- 32:30Speaker 1: and then he gets stepped on in practice this week
- 32:32Speaker 1: and has to miss a day of practice. He's back
- 32:34Speaker 1: the next day. It's just been a weird, weird year.
- 32:38Speaker 1: So do they need to beat the Steelers. No, but
- 32:41Speaker 1: it would be very, very helpful if they did. This.
- 32:45Speaker 1: AFC North is a little bit of a jumble at
- 32:48Speaker 1: the moment. Right now it's tied between Baltimore and Pittsburgh. So,
- 32:54Speaker 1: howeverously whoever wins this game will continue to be well.
- 32:57Speaker 1: If the Ravens win, they'll stay atop the NFC. If
- 33:01Speaker 1: the Steelers win, I suppose that means the Steelers will
- 33:04Speaker 1: then excuse me, be a top depending on how the
- 33:09Speaker 1: percentages go. Again, these teams will have to play each
- 33:11Speaker 1: other at the last week of the year. So given
- 33:16Speaker 1: the how tough Baltimore schedule is, and given that, I
- 33:20Speaker 1: don't think the Steelers are very good. So they're six
- 33:23Speaker 1: and six. Now they lose to the Ravens, go to
- 33:25Speaker 1: six and seven, and they get the Dolphins, the Lions,
- 33:27Speaker 1: the Browns, the Ravens. Again. I mean they could only
- 33:31Speaker 1: they could legitimately finish eight and nine. It would not
- 33:34Speaker 1: surprise me. So when I said that if the Bengals
- 33:38Speaker 1: went out, maybe there's a chance they win THEAFC worth
- 33:42Speaker 1: it's possible. Ravens have a tough schedule, Steelers have a
- 33:46Speaker 1: tough schedule and aren't that good to begin with, and
- 33:49Speaker 1: the Bengals with Joe Burrow or a different team and
- 33:53Speaker 1: have a very easy last three games of Dolphins, Cardinals,
- 33:57Speaker 1: and Browns. So it all starts this week with the
- 34:00Speaker 1: Let me take it back to that. If they can
- 34:02Speaker 1: go into Buffalo and win this game and get to
- 34:05Speaker 1: five and eight, you know that they're gonna feel those
- 34:08Speaker 1: vibes from last year. They're gonna look at the schedule
- 34:10Speaker 1: and say, next week, Ravens, that's everything. We win that game.
- 34:16Speaker 1: We got smooth, We can make this happen. But it
- 34:19Speaker 1: all starts this week in Buffalo. Buffalo's beat up. They
- 34:23Speaker 1: are missing a lot of guys on defense. They tried
- 34:25Speaker 1: to claim Slay. Slay didn't want to go now he's
- 34:28Speaker 1: pondering retirement. So it's a good spot for the Bills
- 34:33Speaker 1: to pull off. I'm sorry for the Bengals to pull
- 34:36Speaker 1: off an upset, and the Bills have been just inconsistent
- 34:40Speaker 1: enough to where you can see it. The Bills are
- 34:43Speaker 1: kind of a team where you're not sure who's showing up.
- 34:48Speaker 1: They've got some injuries. I know Dion Dawkins might be back,
- 34:52Speaker 1: so that's good. Dalton Kincaid has been out, so that's
- 34:57Speaker 1: not been great on that. At Oliver has been out
- 35:00Speaker 1: for a while on injury reserve. I don't think he'll
- 35:03Speaker 1: be back for this game. I know Bosa, Joey Bosa
- 35:07Speaker 1: is out and Bernard Torell Bernard are gonna be out,
- 35:10Speaker 1: so that's tough. There's a shot here. There really is
- 35:12Speaker 1: a shot for the Bengals. So it's a big game,
- 35:17Speaker 1: big AFC North game, well, a big game for the
- 35:20Speaker 1: Bengals in the North, and obviously a big game for
- 35:22Speaker 1: Buffalo that is still trying to hang in there. There
- 35:25Speaker 1: are three games behind the Patriots in the AFC East.
- 35:28Speaker 1: What really Buffalo is trying to do is hang in
- 35:31Speaker 1: there for a playoff berth because they are the seventh
- 35:34Speaker 1: seed right now at eight and four. With those teams
- 35:36Speaker 1: I mentioned, Houston, Pittsburgh, Kansas City nipping at their heels
- 35:40Speaker 1: a little bit, Tennessee at Cleveland su Door Sanders, I
- 35:45Speaker 1: guess will start again. Cleveland's four and a half point favorites.
- 35:48Speaker 1: This is a game that both teams will try very
- 35:52Speaker 1: hard to win, but neither team should really want to win.
- 35:57Speaker 1: If I'm the Titans, even if I win two and
- 35:59Speaker 1: a if I lose on one to twelve closer to
- 36:02Speaker 1: the number one pick. If they win and Cleveland falls
- 36:06Speaker 1: to three and ten, top five pick, Cleveland needs the
- 36:11Speaker 1: loss more. I mean, they need a quarterback. But you
- 36:13Speaker 1: know what, I think the Titans will get the number
- 36:16Speaker 1: one pick most likely and probably try to trade down
- 36:20Speaker 1: because they don't need a quarterback. They needed a head coach,
- 36:25Speaker 1: they need a wide receiver, they need offensive line talent,
- 36:28Speaker 1: they need a lot of things. So it would make
- 36:30Speaker 1: a ton of sense for the Titans that trade down
- 36:33Speaker 1: from number one. Washington at Minnesota, the Commander showed you
- 36:36Speaker 1: they're not laying down. They played the Broncos played a
- 36:39Speaker 1: great game. I hate to say this because I really
- 36:42Speaker 1: really like and respect the guy. Zach Ertz. Really had
- 36:46Speaker 1: a tough zach Ertz wants that game back dropped the
- 36:49Speaker 1: deep posts in the fourth quarter. That could have kept
- 36:52Speaker 1: moving the chains and maybe put him in the end
- 36:53Speaker 1: zone and avoided overtime. And then of course he dropped
- 36:56Speaker 1: the ball in the end zone and overtime. I mean,
- 36:59Speaker 1: you're talking about guy who's shorthanded. He I mean, he
- 37:02Speaker 1: has occasional drops, but that was tough, really tough to
- 37:05Speaker 1: see zach Ertz drop those passes. They would have upset
- 37:08Speaker 1: the Broncos. And it doesn't matter though Washington's not laying over.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Dan Quinn is coaching that team. They're getting healthy. Jade
- 37:15Speaker 1: Daniels is gonna be back. Mclaurin's back, some other guys.
- 37:19Speaker 1: I know their offensive line has been playing better, very well.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Actually they can run the ball a little bit. Defense
- 37:25Speaker 1: is still banged up. But when you get Jadan Daniels back,
- 37:28Speaker 1: you get a spark. They go into Minnesota. We know
- 37:30Speaker 1: how bad Minnesota has been for the last four or
- 37:33Speaker 1: five weeks. They have no quarterback, got offensive issues. Commanders
- 37:37Speaker 1: are one and a half point favorites. They should be.
- 37:40Speaker 1: They'll probably win this game. And you know they got
- 37:43Speaker 1: their sight set on the Eagles twice in those last
- 37:46Speaker 1: three weeks. You guarantee it, guarantee you they will not
- 37:49Speaker 1: lay down for the Eagles. That is a game they
- 37:51Speaker 1: will have circled, no matter what their record is. Dolphins
- 37:56Speaker 1: at Jets, you know it's a game between two bad teams. Teams,
- 38:00Speaker 1: but you got to respect the job that both head
- 38:02Speaker 1: coaches have done over the last few weeks. Miami, I mean,
- 38:06Speaker 1: myself included, everybody thought that when they were one and
- 38:10Speaker 1: six that Mike McDaniel was losing his job. He didn't.
- 38:13Speaker 1: The GM did all right, and then they he turned
- 38:15Speaker 1: round and he's won four of his last five wins
- 38:18Speaker 1: over the and not just beating the bottom of the barrel.
- 38:21Speaker 1: I mean, yes, Commanders and Saints are their last two wins,
- 38:25Speaker 1: but they've also beat the Bills, and they beat a
- 38:27Speaker 1: Falcons team that at the time was playing okay. But
- 38:31Speaker 1: now obviously the Falcons are not very good. But the
- 38:34Speaker 1: bottom line is through the Dolphins, they were one and six,
- 38:36Speaker 1: they're now five and seven. All right, you beat the Jets,
- 38:39Speaker 1: you can get the six and seven. Then you got
- 38:41Speaker 1: Steelers and Bengals and Bucks and Patriots. So it's kind
- 38:45Speaker 1: of a tough last three weeks, but heck, could they
- 38:48Speaker 1: beat the Jets, then go beat the Steelers and get
- 38:49Speaker 1: the seven and seven. Can you imagine how remarkable the
- 38:54Speaker 1: bull that would be for where they were when they
- 38:56Speaker 1: were one and six. I think I think that would help,
- 39:00Speaker 1: if not already solidify that Mike McDaniel would be back
- 39:03Speaker 1: next year. And I would really like to see Mike
- 39:05Speaker 1: McDaniel back with the Dolphins and with a way better
- 39:09Speaker 1: roster than he has right now, maybe even a different quarterback.
- 39:12Speaker 1: And as for the Jets, you know they were I
- 39:14Speaker 1: think they were the last winless team when they were
- 39:18Speaker 1: oh and seven, right. Then they beat the Bengals, then
- 39:21Speaker 1: they beat the Browns, lost of the Patriots, lost of
- 39:25Speaker 1: the Ravens, bounce back with a win over the Falcons.
- 39:28Speaker 1: So they got a chance here over the last few weeks,
- 39:31Speaker 1: try to win one or two more games, and you know,
- 39:34Speaker 1: give Aaron Glenn, or more so the Jets fans some
- 39:37Speaker 1: reason to believe in Aaron Glenn. They didn't quit on
- 39:40Speaker 1: Aaron Glenn when we were oh in seven. All right,
- 39:43Speaker 1: if you can beat the Dolphins, you get the four
- 39:45Speaker 1: and nine, then you got the Jags. Probably not gonna
- 39:47Speaker 1: beat the Jags. But then you got the Saints. Maybe
- 39:49Speaker 1: you get your fifth win there. Then you get the
- 39:50Speaker 1: Patriots and Bills. Probably not going to beat those teams.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Can you be competitive though? Can you hold your own
- 39:57Speaker 1: with the Patriots and the Bills? Can you hold your
- 39:59Speaker 1: own with Jacksonville? Those will all be questions, but it
- 40:02Speaker 1: starts with Miami. If you're coming off a win against
- 40:05Speaker 1: Atlanta and you want further that, could they get their
- 40:09Speaker 1: second two game winning streak of the year. It's possible.
- 40:12Speaker 1: I like the Dolphins in the game, but I think
- 40:14Speaker 1: the Jets will keep this thing close. So the Jets,
- 40:17Speaker 1: by the way, are two and a half point underdogs
- 40:21Speaker 1: at home to the Dolphins. I wonder, how wonder how
- 40:25Speaker 1: often the Dolphins have been favored this year. New Orleans
- 40:29Speaker 1: is at Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay is eight and a
- 40:30Speaker 1: half point favorites. Tampa Bay. Another team getting healthier. I
- 40:35Speaker 1: thought I read that it's possible they could get Mike
- 40:37Speaker 1: Evans back pretty soon. Look at what Tampa Bay has
- 40:41Speaker 1: had to withstand so many injuries. But they get god
- 40:44Speaker 1: Win back, got Bucky Irving back, got through a really
- 40:48Speaker 1: brutal part of their schedule that had the Patriots, the Bills,
- 40:52Speaker 1: and the Rams. Yes they lost all of them, lost
- 40:54Speaker 1: to the Lions, but they did beat the forty nine ers,
- 40:56Speaker 1: they beat the Seahawks, and now they have got the
- 40:59Speaker 1: Saints and Falcons up next. Good chance to get They're
- 41:02Speaker 1: seven and five, good chance to get to nine and five.
- 41:04Speaker 1: They will compete for the number one seed. If they
- 41:07Speaker 1: win these two games and get to nine and five,
- 41:09Speaker 1: they will be in the mix. And then they've got Panthers, Dolphins, Panthers,
- 41:13Speaker 1: so they're in line to win the NFC South. And
- 41:16Speaker 1: if you can win three of these last five, you
- 41:19Speaker 1: get to ten wins, maybe four. Go four and one,
- 41:22Speaker 1: which really you should be able to do against Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Dolphins, Panthers.
- 41:27Speaker 1: You don't give the Panthers one game because it's an
- 41:30Speaker 1: NFC South and the Panthers are on any given week
- 41:32Speaker 1: pretty tough. Go four and one then, all right, then
- 41:35Speaker 1: you get to eleven and six, probably in line for
- 41:39Speaker 1: at least a two or three seed. Right now, they're
- 41:41Speaker 1: sitting pretty as the fourth seed, and I think that
- 41:45Speaker 1: they'll probably be at very least they'll win the division
- 41:47Speaker 1: and get at very least the fourth seed. And I
- 41:52Speaker 1: talked about it in nash Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Denver, Las Vegas.
- 41:57Speaker 1: I mean, the Raiders are a bad team. They're the
- 42:00Speaker 1: Broncos are seven and a half point favorites, probably win
- 42:02Speaker 1: by that if not more. Rams at Arizona. Arizona's got
- 42:08Speaker 1: a ton of injuries on defense. Now they've been able
- 42:10Speaker 1: to stay in games because of their defense, but they
- 42:13Speaker 1: got a ton of injuries at the running back position.
- 42:15Speaker 1: They got obviously still on Jacoby Brissett. Marvin Harrison's hurt
- 42:19Speaker 1: both corner They got two corners that are hurt, including
- 42:21Speaker 1: Max Belton. So I think the Rams are going to
- 42:24Speaker 1: go in there and be just fine. I have no
- 42:27Speaker 1: issue with the Rams because they lost to the Panthers
- 42:31Speaker 1: last week. They had three turnovers. Matthew Stafford threw his
- 42:34Speaker 1: first two interceptions since the since he had that one
- 42:37Speaker 1: early in the Eagles game, so he basically went almost
- 42:40Speaker 1: an entire season without throwing a pick. You knew it
- 42:43Speaker 1: was going to happen. Had Flukey turnovers, lost the game,
- 42:46Speaker 1: No big deal. I think they're every bit as good
- 42:48Speaker 1: as any NFC or NFL team right now, so they
- 42:52Speaker 1: should be fine. And then of course Houston Kansas City
- 42:55Speaker 1: I talked about, and then you got the Eagles at
- 42:59Speaker 1: the Charge, a really really significant game for both of
- 43:04Speaker 1: those teams, and we have that covered on the inside.
- 43:06Speaker 1: The Birds pregame show myself, Kaplan and Greg Cosel. So
- 43:11Speaker 1: that's a look at the week end action in the NFL.
- 43:15Speaker 1: It's going to be a very exciting week again. I'll
- 43:18Speaker 1: really look forward to seeing those games. Hey, it's Jeff Mosher.

- 46:10Speaker 1: when I did the review instead of a preview, that
- 46:13Speaker 1: I didn't have a chance to get my picks in
- 46:15Speaker 1: for last week. So going back two weeks ago, no surprise,
- 46:18Speaker 1: went oh to three. So my total for the year
- 46:21Speaker 1: is fourteen and twenty two. I have been horrendous on
- 46:24Speaker 1: this show picking games, but I said I would make
- 46:26Speaker 1: up for not doing my picks last week by doing
- 46:29Speaker 1: six picks this week instead of three, So here we go.
- 46:34Speaker 1: I like the Titans getting four points against the Browns
- 46:37Speaker 1: in Cleveland. I think that's gonna be a game that's
- 46:39Speaker 1: gonna come down to the wire, probably a one point game,
- 46:42Speaker 1: maybe a three point game. So the Titans are getting four,
- 46:45Speaker 1: I'll take them. I like the Commanders getting one and
- 46:48Speaker 1: a half points in Minnesota. I think the Commanders are
- 46:51Speaker 1: a better team getting Jaydan Daniels back. I know going
- 46:54Speaker 1: into Minnesota is tough. I think the Vikings are gonna
- 46:57Speaker 1: be without a couple of guys on defense, so I
- 46:59Speaker 1: read that could be tough there, but I would like
- 47:02Speaker 1: the Commanders anyway. So give me the Commanders getting one
- 47:04Speaker 1: and a half from the Vikings. I'm gonna take the
- 47:07Speaker 1: Jets getting three against the Dolphins at home because they're
- 47:10Speaker 1: at home. The Jets are at home. Dolphins aren't great.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Jets got a little good vibe going. I don't know
- 47:16Speaker 1: if they're gonna win, but I think they're gonna keep
- 47:18Speaker 1: this game very close. So give me. They're getting points,
- 47:21Speaker 1: I'll take them. Give me the Bucks to beat the
- 47:24Speaker 1: Saints and cover even in New Orleans at eight and
- 47:26Speaker 1: a half. I know it's a big number on the
- 47:28Speaker 1: road against the division rival, but they're just getting healthy.
- 47:31Speaker 1: I think the Bucks are gonna be ready to take off.
- 47:34Speaker 1: They've got to me. Their issues were more health related
- 47:39Speaker 1: than talent played it when they were losing those games.
- 47:41Speaker 1: Now that they're much healthier, I think they can stomp
- 47:44Speaker 1: out the Saints. I like the Ravens six and a
- 47:48Speaker 1: half point favorites over the Steelers. If you've heard me
- 47:50Speaker 1: all year long, I really don't think the Steelers are
- 47:52Speaker 1: that good. I don't. I think the Ravens had a
- 47:55Speaker 1: fluky loss with the five turnovers that I talked about
- 47:58Speaker 1: last week against the Bengal. They should bounce back. They
- 48:01Speaker 1: should be fine. I think there are at least two
- 48:03Speaker 1: touchdowns better than the Steelers to be honest. The only
- 48:05Speaker 1: thing is these games between the both of these teams
- 48:09Speaker 1: are so crazy all the time, their typical cold weather
- 48:13Speaker 1: AFC North battles. Somehow the Steelers always wind up keeping
- 48:16Speaker 1: it close, even if the Ravens are the better fifty three.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Sometimes it's a blowout, it's one sided. But in this case,
- 48:23Speaker 1: I think the Ravens are going to get the best
- 48:25Speaker 1: of the Steelers. And I like the Rams even at
- 48:27Speaker 1: the big number minus eight getting giving eight to the Cardinals.
- 48:32Speaker 1: It's in Arizona. Arizona plays tough, but the Rams, I believe,
- 48:36Speaker 1: are going to be pretty annoyed by their loss, their
- 48:39Speaker 1: turnover plague loss against the Panthers, and definitely on paper
- 48:43Speaker 1: they're eight points better than the Arizona Cardinals, who are
- 48:45Speaker 1: dealing with a lot of injuries. So I like the
- 48:47Speaker 1: Rams to bounce back and have a huge game there.
- 48:50Speaker 1: So those are my picks and that will do it
- 48:52Speaker 1: for the Week fourteen NFL preview on Inside the Birds.
- 48:56Speaker 1: I'm Jeff Mosher. Enjoy your football watching everybody name and
