- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, welcome to Pink Chet. It's Thursday, so it's
- 0:16Speaker 1: pop and Bravo. That means we're gonna talk pop culture
- 0:20Speaker 1: and Bravo. And who better to talk about both of
- 0:22Speaker 1: these things than my good friend Kate Casey.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Hello, Hello, thank you for having me.
- 0:29Speaker 3: The amazing Kate Casey.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I love it. Did you see the video my daughter
- 0:35Speaker 2: got me from Mother's Day? Oh? Yes, sure did.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Now that those guys are popular, like, that's a thing.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Those guys. There are they in Kenya? Where are they?
- 0:44Speaker 2: That one was a Kenya She said, they're like different alternatives.
- 0:47Speaker 2: But I had never seen it before. I was like,
- 0:48Speaker 2: what I thought it was Ai.
- 0:51Speaker 1: No, it's these guys and they hold up a sign
- 0:53Speaker 1: and the guy I walked up through the screen.
- 0:55Speaker 3: He was like, kissing your picture.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I know. So funny. But also the song I'm Bringing
- 1:00Speaker 2: Sexy Back that that was one of like my songs
- 1:05Speaker 2: with my husband, like we met like the year that
- 1:07Speaker 2: that album came out. So the fact that she picked
- 1:09Speaker 2: up on that makes me laugh harder. It was hilarious.
- 1:13Speaker 2: He was like, have your mother's day, Kaykazy.
- 1:15Speaker 1: They're holding up a sign then dances up to the camera.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Yeah, that was good.
- 1:21Speaker 2: That was that was really good.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I got a you know, both of my kids did
- 1:25Speaker 1: an Instagram post about me, you know, a story, not
- 1:28Speaker 1: even as a story.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not forever, just for that day, just for
- 1:32Speaker 2: that day. Yeah.
- 1:33Speaker 3: And supposedly.
- 1:36Speaker 1: They got me, which means my husband got me a
- 1:39Speaker 1: gift card to the local the sugar house place i'd
- 1:41Speaker 1: go to get my eyebrows done and my haircut and stuff. Supposedly,
- 1:45Speaker 1: but I've not seen said gift card right right, right right, but.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I'm sure it's coming.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I was just like, I'll tell my husband, my god,
- 1:52Speaker 1: next time, my god, I'll just charge it to you.
- 1:54Speaker 3: He's like, I have to give from the kids.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I was like, really, Mia invited a stranger over to
- 1:59Speaker 2: our watch a movie on Mother's Day, and I was
- 2:02Speaker 2: just like, okay, but it was also my anniversary, so
- 2:04Speaker 2: I was leaving for dinner anyway. But I was still like, okay,
- 2:08Speaker 2: does your anniversary often fall on Mother's Day?
- 2:11Speaker 3: It does?
- 2:11Speaker 2: And my birthday often falls on Easter.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Oh okay.
- 2:16Speaker 1: My birthday was always very close to Halloween, so I
- 2:19Speaker 1: always had to have a Halloween themed birthday party, which
- 2:22Speaker 1: I didn't like.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Oh maybe that's why I hate Halloween. I hate Halloween too.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I don't like it. It's what I don't get into it.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 2:31Speaker 3: But I feel like you costume. I feel like you
- 2:33Speaker 3: like a theme.
- 2:35Speaker 2: No, when they were little kids were like really little,
- 2:37Speaker 2: I would maybe, but I just feel like creatively, like
- 2:41Speaker 2: I'm bankrupt by.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I feel like you yourself like a theme party, like you
- 2:46Speaker 1: would lean into a theme party.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I really love is
- 2:51Speaker 2: an eighties party. And do you know I'm interviewing next week?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Tell me George Michael, not George Michael. Hello, boy George,
- 2:58Speaker 2: I saw that on your Facebook group. I'm excited.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Did you get that through your best friend PK?
- 3:03Speaker 2: I sure did, I did.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I'm joking, guys. PK is not her best friend, but
- 3:09Speaker 1: they are friendly.
- 3:10Speaker 2: PK told me that I should talk to boy George
- 3:12Speaker 2: because George has relatives that were in the IRA.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Okay, trying to link that to your family, No, I
- 3:20Speaker 1: mean no.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I'm really like, I think if I lived in another time,
- 3:23Speaker 2: it should have been London in the eighties because I
- 3:26Speaker 2: love that music so much. I really love and I
- 3:28Speaker 2: think where George has such an interesting story. I'm pumped.
- 3:31Speaker 2: There's going to be a documentary about Culture Club Too
- 3:34Speaker 2: coming out soon.
- 3:35Speaker 1: So did you ask him about that time he locked
- 3:38Speaker 1: that person in his basement?
- 3:39Speaker 3: No, you didn't ask him.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Well, I didn't talk to him yet.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Oh, okay, are you gonna.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Ask him now? We'll see if it comes up.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe he'll bring it up, he said.
- 3:49Speaker 2: He said he's going to be in full glam for me. Oh,
- 3:52Speaker 2: I'm really excited. Okay, that's exciting.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Yeah, this will be it'll be video content for you.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I know you're not so into the video. I'm not
- 4:01Speaker 1: into the video content either, but I've been told I
- 4:03Speaker 1: have to do it.
- 4:03Speaker 2: So that's so much me. It's that my guests don't.
- 4:06Speaker 2: I don't. I find guests are like, thank god, I
- 4:09Speaker 2: don't have to be on video. Yeah, yeah, totally. Yeah.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Sometimes I usued to just be like, I'm gonna it'll
- 4:14Speaker 1: just be there for us. We can cut up for
- 4:16Speaker 1: clips for Instagram or whatever. But now I've just told everybody.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I'm like, everything's on video.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Now.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but that's the way I mean. I go
- 4:23Speaker 1: on this camera looking like I've been drug through a sewer.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Sometimes I'm like I don't care because like twelve people
- 4:29Speaker 1: watched it. I don't care. I mean, yesterday you got
- 4:32Speaker 1: like a no makeup out of the shower, looked today
- 4:35Speaker 1: I look kind of cute because I had lunch with
- 4:37Speaker 1: Olivia Plais today.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Oh that's right, How was that? I thought about that
- 4:39Speaker 2: a couple of hours ago at the DMV. I'm like
- 4:41Speaker 2: that those two are probably just yucking it up, and
- 4:45Speaker 2: I'm here for my number to be called.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it was about two hours. It was about two hours, and.
- 4:51Speaker 1: We I brought up your name at some point because
- 4:53Speaker 1: I said something about, oh, my friend Kate Casey and
- 4:55Speaker 1: she's like, oh, yeah, I know her. I was like,
- 4:57Speaker 1: that's right, you would know her.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I interviewed her along with her ex husband. I'm like,
- 5:05Speaker 2: he's just like he's got a low intellectual index. That's
- 5:12Speaker 2: not all he's got. He's got allegedly, you know, racism, homophobia,
- 5:17Speaker 2: and abuse. Well that would be a problem.
- 5:20Speaker 1: All of those things are also very problematic. But it
- 5:24Speaker 1: was a really good lunch. I'm going to be like,
- 5:25Speaker 1: are we surprised that he's a racist? Are we surprised
- 5:30Speaker 1: that's the family he grew up in? Like, if you
- 5:33Speaker 1: told me he actually is a rocket scientist, I would go.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Now, that is shocking. Yeah, how did he How did
- 5:40Speaker 2: he get there? They were allowed to have education. You know,
- 5:42Speaker 2: that's my problem with TLC shows. I find them very depressing.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Listen, don't besmirch my bread and butter. I'm going to
- 5:54Speaker 1: a TLC party next week in New York.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Oh okay, like the cruise ship one. Well so that
- 6:00Speaker 2: they've had.
- 6:01Speaker 1: They had the party at a at a fancy place
- 6:03Speaker 1: once and that was for the tenth season of ninety
- 6:06Speaker 1: Day like og and that was a great party that
- 6:09Speaker 1: was in like at.
- 6:10Speaker 3: The top of some big building. It was incredible.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Then the next one they had was on a boat
- 6:15Speaker 1: and it was ninety Day the other way okay, and
- 6:22Speaker 1: that was like everybody was c sick because they'd be like,
- 6:25Speaker 1: it was not great. It was fun, the party was fun,
- 6:28Speaker 1: but everybody was like, if you like, Poodle spent half
- 6:31Speaker 1: his half the time in the bathroom because he was
- 6:33Speaker 1: like so seasick.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Oh I didn't know that.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Yeah, he was really sea sick. And I don't get seasick,
- 6:38Speaker 1: so that didn't bother me. This one is an a
- 6:41Speaker 1: TLC US weekly party to launch the new show ninety
- 6:47Speaker 1: Day Love Got It Okay, which has got some old
- 6:50Speaker 1: cast members, plus like some new singles have entered the
- 6:53Speaker 1: villa like that. Yeah, so that's going to be fun.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And I'm going to be at the beach. I'm going
- 6:59Speaker 1: to leave the each fly to New York, go to
- 7:01Speaker 1: this party, and fly back to the beach.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Wow.
- 7:04Speaker 2: So you're gonna need a vacation after that.
- 7:07Speaker 1: But I'm so excited because Keisha's coming, Amy Archer's coming,
- 7:11Speaker 1: and Amanda and the Jake and Matt will be there,
- 7:13Speaker 1: and so for me, it's like more fun to like
- 7:15Speaker 1: hang out with all my podcast friends, you know, without question,
- 7:18Speaker 1: and then we can.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Gossip about the party later. Yeah.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Yeah, super excited. Got to figure out what I'm wearying
- 7:23Speaker 1: to that now, Kate. I was just listening as I
- 7:27Speaker 1: was driving around doing my errands. I was listening to
- 7:30Speaker 1: your show, and you had a guy on talking about
- 7:33Speaker 1: the Diddy trial, and that's in my list.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Of pop culture topics.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Tell me what your coverage is going to be, because
- 7:39Speaker 1: I think that, like today Cassie was going to take
- 7:41Speaker 1: the stand, like I need to, like I need to
- 7:43Speaker 1: find a place where I can like be updated on
- 7:45Speaker 1: a constantly.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Yeah, we're gonna we're gonna follow the case. I don't
- 7:48Speaker 2: know who. We'll do it every day, but you know
- 7:51Speaker 2: the high points of it. He David Weinstein, who's my guest.
- 7:55Speaker 2: He's really like sucked into this case like he's going
- 7:59Speaker 2: to be at the courthouse like he's look diled, and
- 8:02Speaker 2: so he helped me walk through the opening statements and
- 8:07Speaker 2: then the strategy. He's a litigation partner, Jones Walker, So
- 8:10Speaker 2: we walk through the legal strategy of the defense and
- 8:13Speaker 2: the prosecution. And he had said last night when we spoke,
- 8:19Speaker 2: it will be interesting when Cassie gets on stand how
- 8:26Speaker 2: the jury will take it, because you know, if she
- 8:28Speaker 2: sits down on the stand and she just falls apart,
- 8:31Speaker 2: they may twist it and think or the defense is
- 8:35Speaker 2: going to twist it and say, oh, she's dramatic. That's
- 8:38Speaker 2: not what happened today. She was like a calm and
- 8:40Speaker 2: collected and went through everything. And I think she is
- 8:44Speaker 2: a force to be reckoned with. And she's pregnant with
- 8:46Speaker 2: her third So the jury is going to pay attention
- 8:49Speaker 2: to a woman heavily pregnant, who has been through this
- 8:51Speaker 2: life experience, who has as as much composure as she
- 8:56Speaker 2: does given what she's been through, and how all of
- 9:01Speaker 2: the allegations that are made against them. I think it's
- 9:07Speaker 2: really on the it's in the hands of the prosecution
- 9:10Speaker 2: right now. I think to win this because it seems
- 9:14Speaker 2: like there's gonna be a lot of witnesses. The only
- 9:16Speaker 2: thing with the defense, and he kind of brought this up,
- 9:18Speaker 2: and I think he's right, is that it's really like
- 9:20Speaker 2: a it's a technical issue of like was some was
- 9:25Speaker 2: do was it sex trafficking? Yes, She's there's kind of
- 9:29Speaker 2: spinning it as like this was a consensual relationship. Yes
- 9:32Speaker 2: he was violent, but was he a sex trafficker? Maybe not?
- 9:36Speaker 2: But yeah, Mark garrgos my buddy is actually one of
- 9:39Speaker 2: the defense lawyers. So that's kind of crazy too.
- 9:42Speaker 1: It's yeah, yeah, Mark err goes look inward. But a
- 9:47Speaker 1: case is a case, and everybody deserves a defense.
- 9:50Speaker 2: You know, everybody deserves defense. They all.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, though, I did see how they
- 9:57Speaker 1: the defense got up right away in their opening statements
- 10:00Speaker 1: and just said like.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Is he a bad guy that does.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Drugs and abuses women and this, and they listed everything
- 10:07Speaker 1: he's done.
- 10:08Speaker 2: That was smart for them to do that.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Yeah, So we don't have to we don't have to
- 10:11Speaker 1: address that. We can all agree he's a drug user.
- 10:14Speaker 1: We can all agree. He abuses women, we can all agree.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Now the jury is like, okay, the onus is on
- 10:20Speaker 2: me to understand this very complicated area of law to
- 10:23Speaker 2: see whether or not this is actual sex trafficking. I
- 10:26Speaker 2: thought that that was well played, yeah.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Because it's like, we're not gonna we don't have to
- 10:29Speaker 1: get bogged down in.
- 10:29Speaker 3: What a bad guy he is, because he's a bad guy,
- 10:32Speaker 3: you know.
- 10:33Speaker 1: And I guess it would be the same with like
- 10:34Speaker 1: a mafia person gets on there is he in the mafia?
- 10:37Speaker 3: Is he an organizer?
- 10:38Speaker 2: Yes?
- 10:38Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Is he a terrible.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Husband with three mistresses da dad?
- 10:42Speaker 2: Yes? All that?
- 10:43Speaker 3: But did he laundry money? Do you know what I mean?
- 10:46Speaker 1: So I guess if you could just get past It
- 10:48Speaker 1: was interesting too that your guests said that they told
- 10:51Speaker 1: the jury you know, there's going to be some really
- 10:54Speaker 1: rough stuff here sexually, and it's going to be talked
- 10:58Speaker 1: about openly, the sexual stuff.
- 11:00Speaker 2: So if you're not prepared for that, you shouldn't be here.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Yeah too, it was like wow.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yeah, because I would have to think about that as
- 11:08Speaker 1: a juror, Like, as much as I would like to
- 11:12Speaker 1: help and serve my cific duty or whatever.
- 11:14Speaker 3: And I don't really know who.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Puff Daddy is really, so i'd be a good juror
- 11:18Speaker 1: on this case. And I haven't really heard much about
- 11:20Speaker 1: it because that I'm a astrophysicist and that's.
- 11:23Speaker 3: What I worry about. I don't really care about what's going.
- 11:25Speaker 2: On in music. Then you'd be a good juror.
- 11:29Speaker 1: But if you're gonna be like, oh, he made that
- 11:33Speaker 1: guy pee in that girl's mouth, like what, then maybe that's.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Something they would choose us if it said on the
- 11:40Speaker 2: sheet you know, we routinely talk about true crime documentaries,
- 11:44Speaker 2: or they'd be like no, nope, no, no.
- 11:46Speaker 1: No, we would know we would be disqualified from every
- 11:50Speaker 1: trial because we have opinions and thoughts.
- 11:55Speaker 3: And yeah, remember.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Yesterday when we were talking, I said that this one
- 11:59Speaker 2: director has talking to talking to you about my photographic memory,
- 12:02Speaker 2: and she said, I'm I can't help but be cynical
- 12:05Speaker 2: because I remember so many details. That's right, that's right, Yeah,
- 12:11Speaker 2: it's true. I think that's right.
- 12:12Speaker 1: And I know I only know two people with the
- 12:15Speaker 1: photographic memories. You and my brother in law has a
- 12:18Speaker 1: photographic memory. He's a doctors that really served him well
- 12:21Speaker 1: in med school. Yeah, yeah, so he can. He could
- 12:25Speaker 1: just look at.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Like any sort of medical term and just remember it everything.
- 12:30Speaker 2: That's great. My grandmother had it for music. She could
- 12:33Speaker 2: look at a sheet of music and remember it. And
- 12:35Speaker 2: my because it shows up in each generation in a
- 12:39Speaker 2: different way. My dad is it for details about history.
- 12:43Speaker 2: So he should have been like a history professor. Probably.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Yeah, one day I want to do a whole separate
- 12:48Speaker 1: interview with you just about your dad.
- 12:50Speaker 2: He's crazy. Yeah, one day when he called on my
- 12:53Speaker 2: birthday this year, but the day after.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Oh, well, so the photographic memory didn't work with his
- 12:58Speaker 1: history member. Well that and also he's in a facility,
- 13:03Speaker 1: so I don't know. It's like a Jack's situation where
- 13:06Speaker 1: I'm like, you're in a facility. How do you have
- 13:07Speaker 1: access to a phone? I could tell you from when
- 13:10Speaker 1: my husband was in a facility. He could do like
- 13:14Speaker 1: one phone call every other day until he got access
- 13:18Speaker 1: to be able to do one a day, and it
- 13:20Speaker 1: would be like I'm calling you at four, and like
- 13:23Speaker 1: tomorrow I'll be calling you at four if you if
- 13:24Speaker 1: I couldn't answer at four, then he would just move
- 13:26Speaker 1: on to like call his parents or whatever.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Because he only had thirty minutes. Thirty minutes.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:31Speaker 2: When I was at boarding school, we would I lived
- 13:33Speaker 2: with sixteen girls, and there was a sheet to call
- 13:35Speaker 2: your boyfriend because it was only ten ten minute allotments.
- 13:40Speaker 2: So if you called the other student home where your
- 13:42Speaker 2: boyfriend was and that phone was busy, ah, you walked
- 13:47Speaker 2: run it out. And so sometimes I would get through
- 13:48Speaker 2: or he would get through and be like, oh we
- 13:51Speaker 2: can talk for two minutes.
- 13:51Speaker 3: And that was a man.
- 13:53Speaker 1: And then you had the other girl going TikTok ats
- 13:56Speaker 1: three days.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I got to go talk to my boyfriend, you know, Mike.
- 14:00Speaker 2: But wait, and what do you talk about? Nothing in
- 14:02Speaker 2: high school, especially if you're both at boarding school.
- 14:05Speaker 1: You don't even have like any shared shared gossip to
- 14:08Speaker 1: talk about or anything.
- 14:10Speaker 2: You could be like that history teacher is a real bitch. Well,
- 14:12Speaker 2: I don't know that history teacher because I'm in a
- 14:13Speaker 2: different school, you know exactly.
- 14:17Speaker 1: There's like, what did I talk about in high school?
- 14:19Speaker 1: Probably just going out and drinking dakers.
- 14:21Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Are you following the Karen retrial like I am?
- 14:25Speaker 2: And there's no there is.
- 14:27Speaker 1: No testimony today. On Tuesday, there was an illness. Somebody
- 14:30Speaker 1: had an illness and they couldn't have it. So I'm
- 14:33Speaker 1: I'm okay with it because then tomorrow I'll have the
- 14:35Speaker 1: whole day to catch up.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Well, you know, I covered it the first trial, and
- 14:38Speaker 2: I feel like I got burned out, okay, and so
- 14:41Speaker 2: when I read through the stuff now, I feel like
- 14:44Speaker 2: it's like, I'm it's regurgitating. I don't know, I kind
- 14:47Speaker 2: of I find that with what I do. I like
- 14:49Speaker 2: deep dive things and then I move on, and it's
- 14:53Speaker 2: like a blessing of the job. It's like taking a
- 14:55Speaker 2: college course and I really deep dive something and then
- 14:57Speaker 2: I have to move on. Yeah, so that it doesn't
- 15:01Speaker 2: it's not of enough of interest that it like lures
- 15:03Speaker 2: me back other topics, Like you could have a docu
- 15:06Speaker 2: memory or a podcast or a trial about the jfk assassination,
- 15:10Speaker 2: and I'll come back each time, but other ones, I'm like,
- 15:13Speaker 2: I'm kind of like I'm keeping keep it.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Moving, Okay.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Well, if anybody needs any information, I am watching the
- 15:20Speaker 1: trial every single day with Emily D. Baker, and I'm
- 15:23Speaker 1: excited because tomorrow when I'm driving to the beach, I'll
- 15:26Speaker 1: have the whole day, Like I could just have it.
- 15:28Speaker 2: On and just listen to it.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Just be listening.
- 15:30Speaker 1: It's just I wrote that to Amy Phillips other day.
- 15:32Speaker 1: She's like, what a dream to have five hours in
- 15:35Speaker 1: the car and just be able to listen to the trial.
- 15:37Speaker 1: It's like, Yeah, the Brian Coberger trials coming up and
- 15:41Speaker 1: I'm going to be following that one to the dayline
- 15:43Speaker 1: this week was really good on that.
- 15:46Speaker 3: They might have been watching with me, and he did.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Oh, that's nice. The only things recently that I've had
- 15:52Speaker 2: my husband watch with me screeners wise was the Osama
- 15:57Speaker 2: American Manhunt Osama ban Laden, which is the one where
- 16:00Speaker 2: it's three episodes about Operation Dawbreaker and like the span
- 16:03Speaker 2: of years that it took. Yeah, he watched every single
- 16:06Speaker 2: episode with me and my high school sophomore too. They
- 16:09Speaker 2: were totally And the other one was one hundred Foot Wave,
- 16:12Speaker 2: which is on HBO and it's like my favorite sports series.
- 16:14Speaker 2: He watched every single other one. Than that, we don't
- 16:16Speaker 2: watch the same things.
- 16:17Speaker 1: No, Well, we've discussed this, and so the fact that
- 16:20Speaker 1: we get to Oxford and I go, you know what,
- 16:21Speaker 1: We're going to order Uber Eats and we're going to
- 16:23Speaker 1: each sit in our own individual chair, eat our own
- 16:25Speaker 1: individual pizza and you can work or play Angry Birds
- 16:29Speaker 1: and I'm going to watch the dateline And he was like,
- 16:31Speaker 1: that sounds.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Like a perfect night to me. Yeah.
- 16:33Speaker 1: So every so often he would chime in with how
- 16:35Speaker 1: many people were murdered. I'm like, don't ask any questions.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Yeah, get out of here, get it.
- 16:39Speaker 1: You can have to wait till the commercial and the
- 16:41Speaker 1: Diddy trial we already talked about. So you're going to
- 16:44Speaker 1: be my source on that. And what other things right now?
- 16:48Speaker 1: Is Kate Casey recommending? Because Kate Casey has a must
- 16:51Speaker 1: watch list and I always ask her what I should watch.
- 16:56Speaker 2: This week? The Liver King on Netflix is this why story?
- 17:00Speaker 2: What the Liver King? So? This liver liver So untold
- 17:05Speaker 2: is a series on Netflix. It's untold stories, typically usually
- 17:09Speaker 2: about sports. Well, this one is about a man named
- 17:11Speaker 2: Brian Johnson who is nicknamed the liver King. Okay, and
- 17:15Speaker 2: during twenty twenty one, he starts making these videos where
- 17:18Speaker 2: he's talking about his physique. He's all super muscular and
- 17:22Speaker 2: how he has it because of his workout schedule and
- 17:24Speaker 2: because he eats a diet rich in liver. So he
- 17:28Speaker 2: would eat and then he started making supplements and like
- 17:31Speaker 2: build an empire. But in the videos that were posted,
- 17:34Speaker 2: they were very over the top, like he's pulling the
- 17:37Speaker 2: chain connected to a car. But he was eating raw
- 17:41Speaker 2: meat on TV or on social media, so he's like
- 17:45Speaker 2: cow testicles and liver and all that stuff and he eat.
- 17:48Speaker 2: So he became really famous, and then he would go
- 17:52Speaker 2: on these interviews and people were like, you're clearly taking steroids,
- 17:55Speaker 2: and he'd say, no, no, no, it's my diet and this
- 17:57Speaker 2: liver diet. Well a year later there's an email's lead
- 18:00Speaker 2: and it turns out, of course, he is taking steroids
- 18:02Speaker 2: because of course. So this doc they went and filmed
- 18:06Speaker 2: at his property with his wife and his kids and
- 18:08Speaker 2: the whole thing, and they uncover the whole story and
- 18:11Speaker 2: he's interviewed and it's hard to watch yet fascinating. Okay,
- 18:15Speaker 2: so that one and I have to think. I'm like,
- 18:17Speaker 2: I feel like Vicky Gumbelson's son in law was on
- 18:20Speaker 2: that diet too, maybe Vicky or Brianna too, But basically
- 18:23Speaker 2: he said, oh, my kids and I eat this diet
- 18:26Speaker 2: because it's cured them of all their ailments. And it's
- 18:28Speaker 2: like there's no proof of that. Yeah, okay, so that's
- 18:30Speaker 2: good the one I mentioned American Man Hunt. Osaman bin
- 18:35Speaker 2: Laden comes out.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Tomorrow, okay, everybody comes out Wednesday, okay.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Is to think of it, like the first episode goes
- 18:42Speaker 2: talks about September eleventh, and they interview all these people
- 18:44Speaker 2: from the Bush Administration, CIA agents, everybody. And then there's
- 18:49Speaker 2: the second episode kind of is that in between period
- 18:52Speaker 2: where they're like trying to track him down. And the
- 18:54Speaker 2: last episode is all about the mission when they went
- 18:58Speaker 2: to Pakistan and to the house and how they recreated
- 19:01Speaker 2: the house and all of that. So it's like edge
- 19:04Speaker 2: of your seat. It feels like a movie, and like
- 19:06Speaker 2: even though you know the outcome, you're still and you're
- 19:09Speaker 2: and you're so proud to be an American because these
- 19:13Speaker 2: the Seal team goes in, they get him, they get out,
- 19:17Speaker 2: they don't harm any civilians in the process, their whole
- 19:20Speaker 2: team is fine. You're just like so excited. Okay. And
- 19:25Speaker 2: then the other one, which I told you about, which
- 19:27Speaker 2: I'm so obsessed with.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Okay, here we go, guys, get ready to go on
- 19:31Speaker 1: a rampage. Go ahead, here we go.
- 19:33Speaker 2: The jud Family Truth Be Told. This one's on Lifetime,
- 19:36Speaker 2: but you can watch it on Amazon Prime. I'm not
- 19:39Speaker 2: like a huge country music star, but I'm familiar with
- 19:42Speaker 2: the juds Naomi and Why not A and I remember
- 19:44Speaker 2: they had a show like on the Open Network and
- 19:47Speaker 2: Ashley Judd obviously was involved with the Me Too movement.
- 19:49Speaker 2: This one is four episodes and it really goes into
- 19:52Speaker 2: their family history, the generational trauma. The mom was sexually
- 19:56Speaker 2: abused by your relative, so was her mother, And and
- 20:00Speaker 2: then kind of like the secrets in their family why
- 20:03Speaker 2: Ioa didn't find out until she was thirty about the
- 20:06Speaker 2: the identity of a real father, but the mom and
- 20:09Speaker 2: the sister kept it a secret. It's like Real Housewives
- 20:12Speaker 2: has nothing on this. You are just like and it's
- 20:16Speaker 2: a southern family. And yeah, so the generational trauma or
- 20:20Speaker 2: the cultural issues, like all of it, I think from
- 20:22Speaker 2: Tennessee or Kentucky. They're from Kentucky. And I just interviewed
- 20:27Speaker 2: the director and I said to her, I cried my
- 20:29Speaker 2: face off. I love these women so much. You know
- 20:32Speaker 2: when you read like a really good book, Yeah, and
- 20:35Speaker 2: you're like, I love these characters. They're so flawed, they
- 20:38Speaker 2: are so conflicts with one another, but they love each other.
- 20:42Speaker 2: That was so messed up that happened. I love these
- 20:45Speaker 2: women so much, and I also think it's really important,
- 20:49Speaker 2: like the what they talk about mental health and of
- 20:52Speaker 2: course their mom died by suicide and their spirit heading
- 20:55Speaker 2: this legislation which protects information related to death by sue
- 21:00Speaker 2: side because in Naomi's case, there were crime scene photos
- 21:03Speaker 2: and information about her death that were leaked to the
- 21:06Speaker 2: tabloids so so gross. You were just going to love
- 21:10Speaker 2: Winona and Ashley so much and you're gonna just I
- 21:15Speaker 2: get what. I kind of felt like I was mourning
- 21:17Speaker 2: the opportunity to never meet Naomi after watching that, Like, God,
- 21:22Speaker 2: they're just rich character Southern women. It's so up your alley.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I just I really loved that one.
- 21:30Speaker 1: You know, No, I hope next there's a documentary about
- 21:35Speaker 1: Lisa Marie Presley.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Doing that, because I think that would be really interesting,
- 21:41Speaker 2: that kind of a really there's that. If you like
- 21:44Speaker 2: Lisa Marie story, you'll like this one too.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Yeahchsten, I know about the juds. I'm Southern, I know,
- 21:50Speaker 1: I don't. There were so many things I'd never even
- 21:52Speaker 1: heard of. I was like, oh, wow, they have her brother,
- 21:57Speaker 1: Naomi's brother. He never did an interview before. Oh uh
- 22:00Speaker 1: huh I can't believe how honest everybody was. Okay, and
- 22:04Speaker 1: so it's on Lifetime or Amazon Prime.
- 22:06Speaker 2: You said, yeah, it was beautiful, beautiful.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Maybe I'll watch it. I'll give it a six out
- 22:11Speaker 1: of ten chance that I'll watch it.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I loved it.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Not because I don't want to. It's a time constraint
- 22:15Speaker 1: and you know, got the Karen read case to solve.
- 22:18Speaker 1: That's going to be hard for you because Karen Reid
- 22:21Speaker 1: is a big commitment.
- 22:23Speaker 3: It's a big commitment. But why am I doing it?
- 22:24Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 22:25Speaker 1: And when the coburger thinks, I'm going to stry. And
- 22:26Speaker 1: now I'm like mad that I'm not able to watch
- 22:28Speaker 1: the Diddy thing? Are we able to watch it? Or
- 22:31Speaker 1: if there just reporting from the courtroom? Me, I'm reporting,
- 22:35Speaker 1: But is the Diddy trial being televised?
- 22:37Speaker 2: No, it's not. Okay, So but you can tell like
- 22:40Speaker 2: you can in real time look at all the updates.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I'm gonna wait.
- 22:44Speaker 1: No that give That gives me a sense of relief
- 22:47Speaker 1: that I don't have to worry that I'm missing watching it.
- 22:49Speaker 2: You know. The one thing that makes I made a
- 22:51Speaker 2: video about it because it just makes me laugh. But
- 22:53Speaker 2: the Karen Read trial. People who are believing that Karen
- 22:57Speaker 2: reidid it, They'll say, I just can't believe a group
- 22:59Speaker 2: of people like I could keep a secret for that long.
- 23:01Speaker 2: And I'm like, have you ever met an Irish American? Yeah,
- 23:05Speaker 2: we keep secrets to the great Southerners.
- 23:09Speaker 1: There you go, yeah, you go, yeah, definitely, twelve people
- 23:12Speaker 1: in a family can know somebody committed a murder and yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 1: stick with the story.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Story. Naomi Judd and Ashley Judd knew that Whya's a
- 23:21Speaker 2: real father was not Michael Simonella for thirty years and
- 23:24Speaker 2: did not tell her At some point.
- 23:26Speaker 1: It just escapes your mind and you believe your own lie.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I think, you know, yeah, yeah, Well, I don't think
- 23:32Speaker 1: it's that many. I don't think it's that many people
- 23:34Speaker 1: hiding a secret. I think it's only three four people
- 23:36Speaker 1: that really.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's what people be like, Oh, there's no
- 23:39Speaker 2: way all those people keep secret. I'm like, yeah, they can.
- 23:42Speaker 2: And the other thing about Naomi what you'll realize is
- 23:45Speaker 2: she had a propensity to exaggerate things. So just like
- 23:47Speaker 2: she wrote a book and there's this author in there,
- 23:50Speaker 2: like a reporter, She's like, yeah, I did, like chicken
- 23:52Speaker 2: Ea check her on all of our lives. And of
- 23:55Speaker 2: course me, I go, oh, she's lying because she's like
- 23:57Speaker 2: a child assault survivor.
- 23:58Speaker 1: And then yeah, she was yeah, oh okay, are you guys?
- 24:02Speaker 1: Kate director recommends it.
- 24:04Speaker 2: She's a Kate. You're so empathetic. I'm so glad you
- 24:07Speaker 2: saw it. I'm like, yeah, I know women like I
- 24:09Speaker 2: generational trauma, like I've been there, Like I get it. Yeah.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yeah, Oh my gosh, well, I am.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Going to venture to say that your listeners I said
- 24:20Speaker 2: this to you yesterday. I mean, yeah, I feel like
- 24:21Speaker 2: your listeners this is I just think it's so up
- 24:25Speaker 2: their alley. Yeah. I think you're right. You're a woman
- 24:27Speaker 2: over twenty eight years old. You're going to devour this
- 24:30Speaker 2: and you're going to just love these women so much.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Am I a my lunch today with Olivia Path. We
- 24:35Speaker 1: talked a lot about like age differences and stuff and
- 24:40Speaker 1: her generation, which is my daughter's generation. I was like,
- 24:42Speaker 1: you guys are going to save us, Like I don't
- 24:44Speaker 1: you know. I say, it's interesting because like when I
- 24:47Speaker 1: everything in my life goes back to Billie Eilish. When
- 24:50Speaker 1: I watched the Billie Eilish documentary her mom, who of
- 24:53Speaker 1: course is like my age, was saying. The producer was asking, like,
- 24:57Speaker 1: how do you feel about her writing like this, like sad,
- 25:00Speaker 1: depressing or talks about suicidal ideation or people her age,
- 25:07Speaker 1: kids her age beinging on drugs and all this stuff.
- 25:09Speaker 1: And she goes, well, if she goes, if you were
- 25:12Speaker 1: in that generation, you'd be depressed too. She was like,
- 25:14Speaker 1: they have a lot to be depressed about. They have
- 25:16Speaker 1: a lot to be worried about. They're the only they're
- 25:19Speaker 1: the first generation that grew up with screens and so
- 25:22Speaker 1: they literally know that Indian and Pakistan are in a war.
- 25:25Speaker 1: When you were that age, did you know that? No,
- 25:27Speaker 1: because if you didn't watch it on this is a
- 25:29Speaker 1: lot news you didn't know. So, yeah, they have a
- 25:31Speaker 1: lot to be worried about. And I told her, I go,
- 25:33Speaker 1: it's Billie Alice, his mom. That has sort of made
- 25:35Speaker 1: me realize, like, your generation just has so much influence,
- 25:39Speaker 1: you know, when there's at John's school, his high school,
- 25:42Speaker 1: last week, there was a stabbing. Kids stabbed another kid.
- 25:46Speaker 1: And I didn't even like tell him because first of all,
- 25:48Speaker 1: he didn't go to that school anymore. But I was like,
- 25:51Speaker 1: and he said something about it in the car. He goes, yeah,
- 25:53Speaker 1: like that kid that got stabbed, Like, you didn't even
- 25:55Speaker 1: tell me about it. I go, well, first of all,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I knew if I told you about it, you would
- 25:58Speaker 1: already known. So there's a point like alerting you here
- 26:01Speaker 1: in the middle of exam week. But your your generation
- 26:05Speaker 1: is so used to that is so used to unfortunately
- 26:10Speaker 1: a shooting, school shootings, or somebody getting all.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Like the coburger case, Like the roommates. I was talking
- 26:18Speaker 2: to the author of a book and I said that
- 26:20Speaker 2: to him. He's a generation older and he wrote this
- 26:23Speaker 2: whole book, Howard Bloom, And I said, well, don't you
- 26:25Speaker 2: think that's part of the reason those roommates were just
- 26:27Speaker 2: texting each other and knock on authorities is because they
- 26:29Speaker 2: were raised in a generation of school shootings. That's what
- 26:32Speaker 2: they do. And he's like, oh, I never thought about that. Yeah,
- 26:36Speaker 2: I mean that's the reality. They they would school shootings.
- 26:39Speaker 2: They stay in place, they'll wait until someone comes to
- 26:42Speaker 2: get them. And they're more apt to like text people.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Yeah, well, they're more apt to text anyway, instead of
- 26:49Speaker 1: just picking up the phone and calling versus call all
- 26:53Speaker 1: the text all come down, here are you coming? Are
- 26:56Speaker 1: you doing, you know, and instead of just like get
- 26:58Speaker 1: your ass down here calling.
- 27:01Speaker 2: So that's going to be interesting too.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Now, something that I wrote a lot of notes on
- 27:07Speaker 1: from last night is Love Hotel, and you have not
- 27:09Speaker 1: watched the last episode.
- 27:10Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you all about it. You can
- 27:14Speaker 2: I tell you my one Love Hotel thing, please. I
- 27:17Speaker 2: pitched a show to that network that is very similar
- 27:20Speaker 2: to Love Hotel years ago. So when I watch it,
- 27:25Speaker 2: I am in I'm enraged a little bit, so I
- 27:31Speaker 2: just want to caveat that. So what I'm hearing is
- 27:35Speaker 2: your review is not going to be positive. Well, I'll
- 27:38Speaker 2: say this. I think obviously the host is not a
- 27:41Speaker 2: great one and not the right fit. You should have
- 27:43Speaker 2: had a woman over thirty five years old so they
- 27:45Speaker 2: could yuck it up and really get to the deep
- 27:47Speaker 2: part of the matter. I think that I don't think
- 27:49Speaker 2: there are enough women. Chris Rosas the same thing, like
- 27:52Speaker 2: for there need to be more. They get mooring the guys.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Kind of funny that a lot of them have no
- 27:59Speaker 2: idea whose women are. But I also have a lot
- 28:01Speaker 2: of that intel that they're like losers. You got to
- 28:04Speaker 2: have more people moving in and out. I the way
- 28:08Speaker 2: that I pitched the show that I wanted to sell
- 28:10Speaker 2: was that Luianne was the host, because I thought, inevitably
- 28:14Speaker 2: leu Anne will flirt with all those guys and make
- 28:16Speaker 2: out with one of them, and then the others will
- 28:18Speaker 2: be so annoyed. They'll be like, really, I liked him,
- 28:20Speaker 2: and now you're making it she can't help herself. I
- 28:22Speaker 2: thought that would have been a funny element.
- 28:25Speaker 1: I don't think she could ever be a host, you
- 28:27Speaker 1: know what I mean, because for the reasons that you're.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Saying that's very funny, it's not Listen, it's not Temptation Island,
- 28:34Speaker 2: and it's not like Mark out Warburg. It's like she
- 28:37Speaker 2: can't help herself. So she's like, hey, ladies, and she's
- 28:40Speaker 2: always in my conversation with Luanne, she's always like she
- 28:44Speaker 2: sees herself as like the romance expert, like you've got
- 28:47Speaker 2: to put yourself out there. And I just thought you
- 28:51Speaker 2: could just have video of her going and talking about
- 28:54Speaker 2: like flirting in the art of it, and then and
- 28:56Speaker 2: then it's like the like the time stamp, like you
- 28:59Speaker 2: realize for the last twenty three minutes she's talked about
- 29:01Speaker 2: this and there are other women are rolling their eyes,
- 29:03Speaker 2: and yeah, I think that could be very slapstick.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I agree with that, but I do think a better
- 29:09Speaker 1: host would be Dolores.
- 29:12Speaker 3: I think she'll be what.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Now she's in the show. No, no, no, I think
- 29:16Speaker 2: Bridget Everett would have been great. Oh my god, yes
- 29:20Speaker 2: that or I said Rachel Drash, I think she would
- 29:23Speaker 2: have been funny too.
- 29:25Speaker 3: So funny.
- 29:26Speaker 2: You're so right.
- 29:27Speaker 1: All those are all good choices, said Gosh Kate. Okay,
- 29:30Speaker 1: well this week, let me tell you what happens. Okay,
- 29:33Speaker 1: So last week I talked to John Hill here on
- 29:36Speaker 1: Thursday show and he was like, have you seen episode three?
- 29:39Speaker 1: Because he gets screeners and I don't. And I was
- 29:40Speaker 1: like no, and he's just like, oh, I can't tell
- 29:42Speaker 1: you what happens. I go, you gotta tell me. He
- 29:44Speaker 1: wouldn't tell me. I even texted him later he goes,
- 29:46Speaker 1: not going to tell you, but I want you to
- 29:47Speaker 1: text me once you've seen it and tell me your thoughts.
- 29:51Speaker 1: I was like, okay, like what's going to happen? So
- 29:53Speaker 1: I was texting with him last night. It was it
- 29:55Speaker 1: was so interesting that he was like so upset by Also,
- 30:01Speaker 1: you know who would have been if you needed a
- 30:03Speaker 1: guy host? A perfect host would.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Be John Hill. Yeah, well yeah, absolutely, yeah. He would
- 30:07Speaker 2: be so funny and yeah and he would he agrees,
- 30:12Speaker 2: by the way. So it's like like this guy Joel well,
- 30:16Speaker 2: I'm sure like in his own ways it's very talented
- 30:20Speaker 2: and in.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Other this is just not It doesn't forget the controversy
- 30:25Speaker 1: that happened after the show.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Well I know, but just from the get from from
- 30:28Speaker 2: the jump, I'm like, yeah, it's like a fish out
- 30:31Speaker 2: of water. He doesn't just because he watches Bravo. He
- 30:35Speaker 2: seems real distracted. I don't know what's happening. There's no
- 30:39Speaker 2: there's no softness to him. You need you need somebody
- 30:42Speaker 2: who's like, oh my god, let's let's like let's talk
- 30:45Speaker 2: about Gary, Like what do you think, Like what's his deal?
- 30:49Speaker 2: And then one of them is I just haven't really
- 30:51Speaker 2: felt like I've ever been myself and I want to
- 30:52Speaker 2: fall in love, all right, well, like who is your boyfriend?
- 30:55Speaker 2: Who's your first boyfriend in high school? Was that like
- 30:58Speaker 2: you have to have someone that does all that, not
- 31:00Speaker 2: that just like walks in is like, hey girl, you
- 31:03Speaker 2: look good tonight. We're going to be a bit of
- 31:05Speaker 2: a yeah, like.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Well so they he did have a little more of
- 31:08Speaker 1: a role this episode, but because the first two episodes.
- 31:11Speaker 3: He was just that robot that came in, it made
- 31:14Speaker 3: no sense.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Like that's why I texted to John to goo Joel
- 31:16Speaker 1: and Booster are having a more of a role this
- 31:19Speaker 1: episode made no sense because he didn't have it from
- 31:21Speaker 1: the get and now all of a sudden he gets
- 31:23Speaker 1: like a couch talking head moment.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Yeah, in fairness to him, they could have cut out
- 31:28Speaker 2: a lot of right, that's true.
- 31:29Speaker 1: And I think also after the controversy after them blowing.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Up, let's chop up. Let's chop this shit up.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Also, he has a one on one scene with Shannon
- 31:39Speaker 1: this week, which was.
- 31:40Speaker 3: At the person he complained about.
- 31:43Speaker 1: But they have like this heartfelt moment where like I
- 31:45Speaker 1: could see where after the show she was like, I
- 31:48Speaker 1: cannot believe he said that about me. Like we bonded
- 31:51Speaker 1: on this show because we're seeing it on our screen.
- 31:53Speaker 2: I know, but she does seem like a little space cadet.
- 31:56Speaker 2: She's like in her own world.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Duh. Way he I think he'll never be invited to
- 32:01Speaker 1: host anything a Bravo again. If they're smart, so I
- 32:05Speaker 1: doubt they probably have them. Was like he'll be and
- 32:07Speaker 1: watch what happens live in like three minutes. Come on, yeah,
- 32:09Speaker 1: you're now Are we going to be on there? No,
- 32:12Speaker 1: but he'll know me and you would kill it.
- 32:14Speaker 2: I was asked today by Reality Steve, are you gonna
- 32:16Speaker 2: go to Bravo con I went no.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Okay, Well you and I differ on this. I'll give
- 32:20Speaker 1: them all my money and I'm going Okay. So on
- 32:23Speaker 1: this episode, we get some new guys. Okay, this is
- 32:26Speaker 1: where we ended last week, where we get these new guys.
- 32:28Speaker 1: So there's there's one, two, three, four, five, there's six guys,
- 32:32Speaker 1: but three of them get the boot right away. They
- 32:35Speaker 1: let them have the evening to talk to all the
- 32:37Speaker 1: guys and then at the end they have to pick
- 32:38Speaker 1: of those guys which three they want to stay.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Okay.
- 32:42Speaker 1: The guys that we have that have stayed from the
- 32:43Speaker 1: last time are Ralph, The Sounds is some specialists from
- 32:46Speaker 1: Nashville who I'm dying to know what bands he worked with,
- 32:48Speaker 1: Like that's all I want to know, Okay. Earl is
- 32:52Speaker 1: the legal consultant whose wife died who was one Shandon likes.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Wile is the IT director from Providence, Rhode Island. He
- 33:03Speaker 1: likes Ashley. And then we have Philip, the investor who
- 33:06Speaker 1: has two houses.
- 33:07Speaker 3: One in bel Air.
- 33:09Speaker 1: No, okay, he was getting real specific about what street
- 33:13Speaker 1: he lived on this.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Week to share remember what street? It was.
- 33:16Speaker 3: No, you'll have to watch it and find out yourself.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Okay, but she.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Knows bel Air? Was she like, callin bullshit on that.
- 33:21Speaker 1: She was like, that's a great neighborhood. It's very walkable. No,
- 33:23Speaker 1: it was, so he does live there. He could live
- 33:26Speaker 1: in an apartment.
- 33:27Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, he's he has one friend from high
- 33:30Speaker 2: school that did well and he cooks. Like what street
- 33:33Speaker 2: he's on?
- 33:34Speaker 3: Okay, I don't.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Think that's successful. Is on the show, Let's be honest.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Jay is the marketing director who lives in Boston, and
- 33:41Speaker 1: he's the one who likes Giselle. Now I will tell
- 33:44Speaker 1: you that. And I told John this last week. This
- 33:46Speaker 1: one guy that they voted off last week, Mark the
- 33:48Speaker 1: real estate developer in New York who's very good looking, hair,
- 33:53Speaker 1: very good looking. When I talked to Megan Weaver, she
- 33:57Speaker 1: was like, oh, I followed him for years on Instagram
- 34:00Speaker 1: and I.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Was like, oh interesting.
- 34:01Speaker 1: She said she was stunned when she saw him on TV.
- 34:03Speaker 1: And she's a designer and he's a real estate developer.
- 34:07Speaker 1: She's like, I've followed his buildings and everything for years.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Well that's how they I know a ton of people
- 34:12Speaker 2: in casting, and that's what they just said.
- 34:14Speaker 1: They yeah, media, Yeah, okay, So these new guys, I'm
- 34:18Speaker 1: not even going to talk about the ones that get booted. Okay,
- 34:20Speaker 1: we've got Jason, who's twenty seven. He's a young guy,
- 34:23Speaker 1: he's a black guy, cute, real estate development, lives in DC.
- 34:28Speaker 1: So now we're getting somewhere. Let's get some geographically appropriate people. Yeah,
- 34:34Speaker 1: we've got James, who's sixty two, is an entrepreneur.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Santa Monica, okay, Srantamonica.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Adam is fifty four, real estate developer from Belmont, California,
- 34:48Speaker 1: and I don't know where that is, but he studied
- 34:52Speaker 1: at Oxford. He you know, is lived in Italy. So
- 34:55Speaker 1: of course Louis is like, oh, Darling, oh you're international,
- 34:58Speaker 1: thank god, like a man who's educated international.
- 35:00Speaker 2: She likes that.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, now here's what happens. These are bullet points
- 35:04Speaker 1: Giselle and Edwards. He's a guy that comes in that
- 35:06Speaker 1: gets voted off. He told like this, like James Arl
- 35:09Speaker 1: Jones yep, and they're like WHOA Like, here he comes.
- 35:13Speaker 1: She's from DC as well. She's to Date's cousin. So
- 35:18Speaker 1: right when he comes in, she was like, don't.
- 35:19Speaker 3: I know you?
- 35:20Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, I think you did a book cousin.
- 35:23Speaker 1: There's this other guy named Craig that also gets voted off.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Who when I tell you they were like. Ashley is like,
- 35:29Speaker 1: you have a doppelganger?
- 35:30Speaker 3: Who is it?
- 35:30Speaker 1: He's like Stephen King Who. She goes, I'm getting Austin Powers.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Oh boy, Okay, so you can get a grasp of
- 35:37Speaker 1: what he looks like. Okay, Now Lewien is trying to
- 35:41Speaker 1: talk to Adam again. Adam is the real estate guy
- 35:45Speaker 1: that's like over educated, studied at Oxford. Real estate guy
- 35:49Speaker 1: lives in Belmont, California. Louien is trying to talk to
- 35:51Speaker 1: him and Austin Power comes over and interrupts and literally
- 35:54Speaker 1: like you know, she's been on television for a long
- 35:56Speaker 1: time because as she's talking to this guy and the
- 35:59Speaker 1: Austin Powers guy's up, she's like like looking over because
- 36:02Speaker 1: he's interrupting, and he goes, I was about to say something.
- 36:04Speaker 1: She goes, were you about to say? You hate to interrupt.
- 36:07Speaker 1: He was like, He's like, no, I like to interrupt.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Then we get into talking about something about seven years okay,
- 36:16Speaker 1: and lou Ane goes, what what are you kidding?
- 36:18Speaker 2: I work in seven year cycles.
- 36:20Speaker 1: And then we see her for like her audition clip
- 36:23Speaker 1: or her something clip where she talks about she, you know,
- 36:27Speaker 1: lived in overseas for seven years, got married, was married
- 36:31Speaker 1: for seven years, was divorced for seven years, got married
- 36:34Speaker 1: for seven months, and now she's back on seven years
- 36:37Speaker 1: is seven years since her last relationship. So she goes,
- 36:41Speaker 1: that's crazy because I work on seven year cycles too.
- 36:44Speaker 1: So Adam the guy says, oh, my birthday is seven,
- 36:48Speaker 1: seventeen seventy, and she goes, that's my dad's birthday, stands up,
- 36:54Speaker 1: starts bawling, crying, and walks off.
- 36:56Speaker 2: She locks herself in the bathroom. Oh seeing Yeah, you
- 37:01Speaker 2: don't really see that side of her.
- 37:03Speaker 1: No, So she like cries and goes to the bathroom,
- 37:05Speaker 1: and yeah, I think Shanna is like, where'd she go?
- 37:07Speaker 3: What's happening? Somebody goes looks for her. I can't remember.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Maybe it's Giselle, but anyway, we see her then like
- 37:12Speaker 1: get a cigarette and her beer because they're both drinking
- 37:15Speaker 1: on camera. Shannon and Anla Lamb go off. She goes
- 37:18Speaker 1: off with her beer and her cigy and it calms
- 37:21Speaker 1: herself down. Shanna is talking to James. Okay, remember James
- 37:26Speaker 1: is from Santa Monica. James talking He went to USC
- 37:30Speaker 1: and we know Shanna went to USA. She's like, so
- 37:33Speaker 1: she's excited about that. Ashley talks to Jason, the DC guy,
- 37:38Speaker 1: and they're kind of bonding. But Ashley is leaning towards
- 37:42Speaker 1: this Walle and this Jason. They're both young, and later
- 37:44Speaker 1: she says, like, I really just even though I'm about
- 37:47Speaker 1: their same age, Like, I don't have anything in common
- 37:50Speaker 1: with them. I've had a whole marriage, a whole life,
- 37:52Speaker 1: I've got kids.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't really have anything in common with
- 37:55Speaker 2: these young guys. That's why she likes.
- 37:57Speaker 1: She's like, I need to fix my daddy issues with
- 37:59Speaker 1: another daddy, you know, basic ankers yikes.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Arue. Wow.
- 38:03Speaker 1: So Shannon and leu Anne both like Adam the guy
- 38:07Speaker 1: with los dad's birthday.
- 38:10Speaker 2: All right, So the ladies go back.
- 38:11Speaker 1: They chat with Joelkin Booster and none of them are
- 38:14Speaker 1: really like feeling the guys too much. They liked the
- 38:16Speaker 1: first group better, and they're like, we don't even know
- 38:18Speaker 1: if we want to give these keys out, but they
- 38:19Speaker 1: have to give out new keys. Leuyenne gives her key
- 38:21Speaker 1: to Adam as he walks up to get the key.
- 38:25Speaker 1: This is why you know she's drinking again.
- 38:26Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 38:27Speaker 1: She's like okay, sticks her tongue out like eh and
- 38:31Speaker 1: then does like ah, like a here's the key. It
- 38:35Speaker 1: was inappropriate, and they're all like okay.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Layne shit.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Shannon gives her key to James the guy that went
- 38:41Speaker 1: to USC, Ashley gives her key to Jason the young guy,
- 38:45Speaker 1: and Gazelle says, I'm not feeling this.
- 38:47Speaker 3: I'm not giving a key to anybody.
- 38:50Speaker 2: So she's she likes her original three. Okay.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Now we see James USC guy and Adam chatting with
- 38:58Speaker 1: leu Ayne. James is said, so Adam was saying he's
- 39:01Speaker 1: married two times. James and Luanne are both like, my
- 39:04Speaker 1: motto is I love my life, and James like, that's
- 39:07Speaker 1: your motto, that's my motto, I love my life. I
- 39:10Speaker 1: was like, okay, but Adam is the worldly one and
- 39:14Speaker 1: James is the USC one. Now Joel Kim Booster, I
- 39:18Speaker 1: guess it's the next day or something, takes Shannon some
- 39:22Speaker 1: towels to her room.
- 39:23Speaker 3: He's like towel delivery.
- 39:24Speaker 2: She's like, oh, Joel.
- 39:27Speaker 1: So he comes in and in my mind, I'm like, oh,
- 39:30Speaker 1: this is where we're going to see that. The two
- 39:31Speaker 1: of them have some sort of strife, so it'll makes sense.
- 39:34Speaker 2: They've totally cut it all out. They don't want to
- 39:36Speaker 2: highlight this. I'm telling you right now what they're going
- 39:38Speaker 2: to do. They're not going to show any of that.
- 39:40Speaker 1: It's they have the nicest conversation, like what you're saying,
- 39:44Speaker 1: because she's like, you know, I know I could be
- 39:47Speaker 1: a handful, and he's like, let's go back to that,
- 39:48Speaker 1: like why would you say that about yourself? It doesn't
- 39:50Speaker 1: matter if you're a handful, Like you deserve to be here,
- 39:53Speaker 1: just like everybody else. And she's just like, I know,
- 39:55Speaker 1: I just don't like to date. And he's like, no, girl,
- 39:57Speaker 1: you've got it going on. This is the year's like
- 40:00Speaker 1: it is like a super pep talk. He's so nice
- 40:02Speaker 1: to her. Then we see her by the pool. Like I
- 40:07Speaker 1: gu said earlier that day, showing the guys, I think
- 40:10Speaker 1: the original guys that at eleven and fifty nine tomorrow
- 40:13Speaker 1: will be the one year anniversary of my dui at
- 40:16Speaker 1: eleven and fifty nine, and she shows them that picture
- 40:20Speaker 1: of her bloody face, the selfie that she took.
- 40:22Speaker 2: She's a mouse.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Yeah, so we do know, Kate, and like that, when
- 40:28Speaker 1: anniversaries come up around traumatic events, you do have a
- 40:31Speaker 1: reaction to it, whether you were even realizing that's the
- 40:34Speaker 1: day of it or not. You know, Like, you know,
- 40:36Speaker 1: my husband had his sister died and it was around December,
- 40:40Speaker 1: and he never quite understood like why around December he
- 40:44Speaker 1: would you know, he would kind of not spiral, but
- 40:47Speaker 1: be depressed more or than normal holiday stuff. And of
- 40:50Speaker 1: course in all the therapy and stuff he did, he
- 40:52Speaker 1: realized it's because that's around the time his sister passed away.
- 40:55Speaker 1: So things that are big anniversaries for you in your life,
- 40:59Speaker 1: whether it's the and you get sober. In this case,
- 41:01Speaker 1: she had this dui, it was a huge event in
- 41:02Speaker 1: her life. It's not a great time for her to
- 41:05Speaker 1: be on a television program looking for Love.
- 41:07Speaker 2: No, it's not. I you know, she should have gone
- 41:09Speaker 2: off TV for a couple of seasons. But yeah, well
- 41:13Speaker 2: none of them can They can't handle it because they
- 41:15Speaker 2: feel like they're going to be forgotten about.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Right right.
- 41:18Speaker 1: So now Giselle and Jay talk and he's, you know,
- 41:21Speaker 1: from their original crew, and she and Ashley were both
- 41:24Speaker 1: talking about Walle and Jay and how when Wala is
- 41:27Speaker 1: with Gazelle as friends, he's super fun and when Jay
- 41:30Speaker 1: is talking to Ashley, he's super fun. But when they
- 41:32Speaker 1: get with the girls that they like, they're too serious.
- 41:35Speaker 1: So he sits down to talk and she's like, you know,
- 41:39Speaker 1: I just have heard from Ashley that like you're so
- 41:41Speaker 1: fun and like you're not even showing me that, and
- 41:44Speaker 1: we got to have fun together, and he goes, well,
- 41:46Speaker 1: I'm trying to show you that I'm serious. He goes,
- 41:48Speaker 1: but I don't really know if there's a romantic spark
- 41:50Speaker 1: with you because I can't tell if you're feeling it.
- 41:52Speaker 1: But I'm really focused on you, and she goes, but
- 41:54Speaker 1: you got to give me all of you. You got
- 41:55Speaker 1: to be like fun. You can't just be like serious
- 41:57Speaker 1: to show me you're serious, Like gotta have fun too.
- 42:00Speaker 3: We're at the Love Hotel ha.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Joel Kim Booster now gets his own talking head on
- 42:05Speaker 1: a couch and he says, these ladies something something something
- 42:08Speaker 1: so tonight I've planned an amazing dinner with an astrologer. Okay, Joel,
- 42:14Speaker 1: you planned it. So they go to this dinner on
- 42:17Speaker 1: the rooftop of the hotel and Ashley and Wile are talking.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Wile is so insecure. He's like, whatever you're feeling about me,
- 42:25Speaker 1: like you're not allowing it, Like you need to lean
- 42:27Speaker 1: in to what you're feeling about me. And she's like,
- 42:31Speaker 1: you know the problem is with me. When I get
- 42:33Speaker 1: in a relationship, I really dive in. He's like, dive
- 42:35Speaker 1: in then, and she goes, look, we're on this basically,
- 42:39Speaker 1: we're on a dating show. Okay, I'm not going to
- 42:41Speaker 1: just like commit just to you, basically is what she's saying.
- 42:43Speaker 3: And he goes, she.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Goes, geographically, we're not close and I don't want more kids,
- 42:48Speaker 1: and you're young. He's like, now we're getting somewhere, like
- 42:50Speaker 1: now you should talk about it, and she's just like
- 42:53Speaker 1: he seems annoying. He's insecure. So then on the talking
- 42:58Speaker 1: head she goes, these younger guys, they haven't been married,
- 43:00Speaker 1: they don't have kids, they can't connect me with me
- 43:03Speaker 1: on things like again, you know, just so this is
- 43:06Speaker 1: where the weird thing happens. Okay, So Philip, the guy
- 43:09Speaker 1: that lives in bel Air air quote, and then Shannon
- 43:12Speaker 1: and then Earl, and Earl's on the end. So they
- 43:16Speaker 1: say something about they're looking at like the little prefixed
- 43:19Speaker 1: menu or whatever, and something comes and it's watermelon bradish
- 43:23Speaker 1: salad or something, and he goes, well, they should know
- 43:25Speaker 1: not to give that to me. I've told them I
- 43:27Speaker 1: don't eat vegetables. And Shannon does he remember, like what huh?
- 43:30Speaker 1: You know, she's so like whoa so reactive? And he goes,
- 43:34Speaker 1: she goes, what do you mean? And he goes, I
- 43:36Speaker 1: don't know. I've just never ate vegetables. She goes, what,
- 43:40Speaker 1: I live in California and everybody eats vegetables, like it's
- 43:43Speaker 1: just a California thing, okay. But because of her reaction
- 43:47Speaker 1: like that, he says, why do you look like you
- 43:49Speaker 1: always want to slap me? Because of her weird reaction,
- 43:55Speaker 1: and she's like what huh? And he goes, yeah, like
- 43:59Speaker 1: where are you mad at me about the vegetables? You know,
- 44:02Speaker 1: because she's so overreacting. So then Shannon talks to Phil
- 44:06Speaker 1: on her other side, and he's talking about bell Air.
- 44:08Speaker 1: He's talking about his neighborhood and the specifically where he
- 44:11Speaker 1: lives and stuff, and she's like, oh, that's a great
- 44:12Speaker 1: area and da da dah. So they're talking about that.
- 44:15Speaker 1: So Shannon leaves over to Earl who's just sitting there,
- 44:17Speaker 1: and goes, you're quiet, Earl and he goes, well, I
- 44:21Speaker 1: don't live in California, so I don't like have anything
- 44:23Speaker 1: to add to the conversation. She goes, well, you could listen.
- 44:26Speaker 1: You could be a good listener, and he goes, well,
- 44:30Speaker 1: he goes, what's what's the deal? He goes, that's the
- 44:31Speaker 1: third critical thing you've said to me. And then this
- 44:34Speaker 1: is where it gets dicky.
- 44:35Speaker 2: And she's like what, like.
- 44:38Speaker 1: What and he goes, I don't know, she's what you
- 44:40Speaker 1: said three things And he goes, I don't know. I
- 44:42Speaker 1: don't have examples. And he goes, maybe I'm just sensitive.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Maybe I'm sensitive because if you're talking too much to
- 44:46Speaker 1: Phil about California or whatever.
- 44:48Speaker 2: And this is probably by Joel Kim Booster also does
- 44:51Speaker 2: a link her.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Phil goes, hey, we're just having a conversation at a
- 44:55Speaker 1: dinner table. Like He's like, it's not that deep, Earl,
- 44:58Speaker 1: It's not that deep, Shannon, right, So she says to
- 45:02Speaker 1: him at the dinner. She turns to him and goes,
- 45:07Speaker 1: you know you're going to put me in tears, and
- 45:09Speaker 1: he goes what he goes, you know, it is shocking
- 45:12Speaker 1: that you don't eat vegetables.
- 45:13Speaker 2: In California, everybody eats vegetables.
- 45:15Speaker 1: And then she goes, I wish you would have said
- 45:18Speaker 1: something if you thought I was being critical, Like if
- 45:20Speaker 1: I was annoying, you should have said something, and he goes,
- 45:22Speaker 1: it's the dinner party, sweetie.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Yikes.
- 45:27Speaker 1: So now after the dinner, Shannon and Earl go sit
- 45:31Speaker 1: down by the side because people are going over to
- 45:32Speaker 1: this astrologer who was foresure methed out of her mind.
- 45:37Speaker 1: The astrologer was giving Carolyn from the Trader's energy just
- 45:41Speaker 1: like like that. I know that she's a sober person.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I'm just saying her energy is chaming and strange. So
- 45:48Speaker 1: Shanna talks to Earl and she goes, I was triggered
- 45:51Speaker 1: by your anger. Oh God, shows it reminds me of
- 45:55Speaker 1: my ex who would just get mad and I just
- 45:57Speaker 1: wouldn't know why. And he goes, well, I was I
- 46:01Speaker 1: was triggered by your criticism of because that reminds me
- 46:03Speaker 1: of max wife who criticized me about everything, and he goes, look,
- 46:07Speaker 1: let's just let's take a break, you know, let's you know,
- 46:09Speaker 1: step away from each other. Well, this is stupid, this
- 46:11Speaker 1: is this is stupid whatever. And then she goes, well,
- 46:15Speaker 1: that's the last check. That's the last check on the box.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Tell me that I'm stupid. He didn't say that. He goes,
- 46:22Speaker 1: let's just walk on. This is a stupid like, this
- 46:24Speaker 1: is stupid, Like why are we talking about vegetables?
- 46:26Speaker 2: Right, But she goes, that's the last check on the box.
- 46:29Speaker 2: Tell me I'm stupid. That's that's the last thing. Shannon
- 46:33Speaker 2: only listens to what she wants to hear, so that's
- 46:35Speaker 2: why everyone gets enraged by her. It was wild. So
- 46:39Speaker 2: he's like okay.
- 46:40Speaker 1: So so she stomps off and he's like all right,
- 46:42Speaker 1: so he walks off. So then we see Ralph, who's
- 46:46Speaker 1: the guy that like everybody liked last episode.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Everybody likes him.
- 46:49Speaker 3: He's really cute.
- 46:50Speaker 2: He's the Nashville guy.
- 46:51Speaker 1: He sits down with Gazelle and goes, look, you know,
- 46:53Speaker 1: we haven't had tons of chance to talk and stuff,
- 46:55Speaker 1: but like, should I pursue you or no? Like, are
- 46:59Speaker 1: you interested? She is, Yes, I'm very interested. Great, they
- 47:03Speaker 1: decide they're gonna date or whatever. Now we assume that
- 47:07Speaker 1: Giselle goes back and tells all the women this, because
- 47:09Speaker 1: they're telling everybody each other everything, right, Okay, just keep
- 47:14Speaker 1: that in mind. Shannon talks to Leuyenne and Ashley starts
- 47:17Speaker 1: crying about Earl No, like I'm.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Trying to like it because he seems so nuts and
- 47:21Speaker 2: I just can't go away. He said that about the vegetables.
- 47:23Speaker 1: She starts crying. The talking head Luanne goes, look, here's
- 47:27Speaker 1: the thing, here's the truth. They've only known each other
- 47:29Speaker 1: two days, and Shannon is too worldly for Earl anyway.
- 47:31Speaker 2: He lives on a lake.
- 47:34Speaker 1: And the Ashley goes, I don't know what the deal
- 47:36Speaker 1: was with that, but that wasn't worth all those tears.
- 47:37Speaker 1: And also, Earl each your vegetables. So now James is
- 47:42Speaker 1: sitting with Adam, and James the USC guy comes over.
- 47:46Speaker 1: He starts massaging her feet, and then Jay's lounge with
- 47:51Speaker 1: leu Anne and Adam strange. Then we hear Shannon sobbing
- 47:55Speaker 1: in her room, like sobbing, like balling, crying in her room,
- 47:59Speaker 1: and they are liking to be down the hall blair
- 48:01Speaker 1: Witch style. So Giselle and Ashley are like, should we
- 48:03Speaker 1: go check on her? So they go check on her
- 48:05Speaker 1: and they're banging on her door. She won't answer. The
- 48:07Speaker 1: camera is inside of her room, following her around while
- 48:10Speaker 1: she's like raiding the mini bar. Lou Anne comes in
- 48:15Speaker 1: and is sitting with Giselle and Ashley. So Louiyne, Gazelle,
- 48:18Speaker 1: and Jessler are sitting there and they're like, she's had
- 48:20Speaker 1: a bad year, but like she didn't know this guy.
- 48:23Speaker 1: We've been here what forty eight hours, and she's crying
- 48:26Speaker 1: about this guy. You know what we should do as
- 48:29Speaker 1: a group. We will give her Adam. So we're gonna
- 48:33Speaker 1: focus on Adam. So lou An is like, well, I
- 48:36Speaker 1: kind of liked Adam, but that's fine. I'll give him up.
- 48:39Speaker 1: I'll give him up because I like James. So leu
- 48:41Speaker 1: Anne concedes that four men like her, she'll give one
- 48:45Speaker 1: of them up, Adam, so Shannon can have a boyfriend.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Adam is interested in It's so depressing, all right, this
- 48:54Speaker 2: could be so much funnier. I don't know.
- 48:57Speaker 1: So no, Ashley goes to chat ad Jason at the bar.
- 49:00Speaker 1: She's like, I got to give you know. Wally is
- 49:02Speaker 1: like way insecure and way serious, and Jason is geographically,
- 49:05Speaker 1: you know, in DC. So she goes to sit with
- 49:08Speaker 1: him at a bar to have like a nightcap, and
- 49:10Speaker 1: it is literally one hundred percent speaking of Rachel Dretch,
- 49:14Speaker 1: it is the Debbie Downer from Saturday Night Live.
- 49:16Speaker 3: Here comes here comes Shannon.
- 49:18Speaker 1: So actually and this guy are having a drink and
- 49:20Speaker 1: Shannon walks ups like.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Hi, wah whah.
- 49:24Speaker 3: So they go, oh, hey, Shannon.
- 49:26Speaker 1: She's like, I don't want to bother you, and they're like, no,
- 49:30Speaker 1: we're okay.
- 49:30Speaker 3: Sit down.
- 49:31Speaker 1: So she sits down and she goes, you know, I
- 49:34Speaker 1: had told Earl about my DUI and it's one year
- 49:37Speaker 1: at eleven fifty nine today about my DUI, and I
- 49:40Speaker 1: thought he would want to be with me and celebrate,
- 49:42Speaker 1: but no, he wanted to fight with me at the table,
- 49:45Speaker 1: and so he.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Went a DUI last year like this is like not
- 49:49Speaker 2: you should not be in a date with me or
- 49:51Speaker 2: really anybody, and like, why am I here on this
- 49:53Speaker 2: television show?
- 49:54Speaker 1: Like why am I celebrating the one year anniversary or DUI?
- 49:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Like but that's yeah, it's.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Not one year of sobriety.
- 50:02Speaker 1: No, no, it's nothing to celebrate so other than she
- 50:06Speaker 1: just feels that she's been on a better mental journey.
- 50:09Speaker 1: So she says, she looks down at her watch it's
- 50:12Speaker 1: eleven fifty nine, and Ashley goes, yeah, you should like, yeah,
- 50:15Speaker 1: you should be proud of that because actually is you know,
- 50:17Speaker 1: generally really sweet. So she goes, so, last year, I
- 50:20Speaker 1: took this selfie of myself at eleven fifty nine, and
- 50:24Speaker 1: this year I'm going to take a new selfie of
- 50:26Speaker 1: myself to mark the new Shannon. Ashley goes, okay, so
- 50:31Speaker 1: she so Sheannon goes to take a selfie, and Ashley,
- 50:33Speaker 1: as the millennial.
- 50:34Speaker 2: That she is, is like, girl, that light is terrible.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Let me help you out. Do you have a filter?
- 50:39Speaker 2: Let me help you.
- 50:40Speaker 1: So she helps her take a picture. Now here's where
- 50:43Speaker 1: the twister roo comes. At the end, Ashley goes in
- 50:46Speaker 1: to say good night to the guys, right because she's
- 50:48Speaker 1: trying whatever. So she goes in like, I just want
- 50:49Speaker 1: to tell you guys, like good night, and I don't
- 50:51Speaker 1: know what happened with Shannon. She was really upset, but
- 50:54Speaker 1: thanks for you guys for a great day.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 50:56Speaker 1: So she has already told Wallet and Jason that she
- 50:59Speaker 1: likes them, right, Jile has gotten insecure. Jason is this guy.
- 51:02Speaker 1: She was trying to have a drink at the bar
- 51:04Speaker 1: that lives in DC, and she looks over at Ralph
- 51:08Speaker 1: out of the blue and goes, Ralph, I just wanted
- 51:10Speaker 1: to tell you, like, you haven't told me you're interested
- 51:13Speaker 1: in me, but like I've got three guys I'm interested in.
- 51:16Speaker 2: You're it.
- 51:18Speaker 3: I'm glad you.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Stayed and Jason.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Hawala are like what to her, and she goes, yeah,
- 51:25Speaker 1: we're at the Love Hotel.
- 51:26Speaker 3: I need to be loving it up.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Ralph, I just want to let you know wow, And
- 51:30Speaker 2: he goes, what, so he's already told Gazelle he's focused
- 51:34Speaker 2: on her. Yeah, but I'm wondering did Gazelle tell Ashley
- 51:39Speaker 2: Ralph told me he's focused on me, and Ashley went
- 51:41Speaker 2: in and was like, well, I like him too. I
- 51:44Speaker 2: don't know. I think they're just so bored. They're they're
- 51:46Speaker 2: like just trying to make things like seem interested and happen.
- 51:49Speaker 2: I don't think they're really interested in any of these guys.
- 51:53Speaker 1: Well, the only one that we have proof that is
- 51:55Speaker 1: a successful real estate developer was Mark that was very
- 51:59Speaker 1: good looking and got booted off the Island nobody. The
- 52:03Speaker 1: other guy that they booted off from last week that
- 52:06Speaker 1: Leuienne had the date with was at I've got to
- 52:09Speaker 1: look up his name because I got to tell you
- 52:10Speaker 1: see if you remember him, so his name was. His
- 52:14Speaker 1: name was Gary. He's fifty seven, a retired carpenter that
- 52:20Speaker 1: retired to Puerto Rico and surfed all day.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:24Speaker 1: No, Luis like, yeah, I don't think I could date
- 52:26Speaker 1: him because I don't like to serve that much.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Well, my friend Tara said she knew one of the
- 52:30Speaker 2: contestants and he has like been unemployed for a long time,
- 52:35Speaker 2: wanted to be an actor. I think it's the one
- 52:37Speaker 2: in Santa Monica. The one, oh, the one in Santa Monica,
- 52:41Speaker 2: the one that I just told you. Okay, Well he
- 52:42Speaker 2: went to USC and who knows him, She knows him, Okay,
- 52:46Speaker 2: So he's an absolute loser.
- 52:49Speaker 1: His title under his chirro and says James sixty two entrepreneur.
- 52:54Speaker 3: That's it, Santa Monica.
- 52:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that's she said. He's a loser.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Well, of course Shannon's liking him, so, but no, Leuienne
- 53:03Speaker 1: is liking him now because Louanne decided she would gift
- 53:05Speaker 1: Adam to Shannon.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Oh okay, how nice here.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Let's talk about the Valley now when we're recording this.
- 53:13Speaker 1: We haven't seen the latest episode, but guys, it is
- 53:15Speaker 1: on subscription Pink Shade Prime. There with Keisha, we are
- 53:20Speaker 1: covering it on the ten dollars level turn by turn recaps.
- 53:23Speaker 1: And the great thing about covering the Valley with Keisha
- 53:26Speaker 1: is that she never watch vander Pump roles.
- 53:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good.
- 53:30Speaker 3: It's good. She's coming.
- 53:31Speaker 2: She's coming at it with like a different angle. Yeah,
- 53:34Speaker 2: the Valley. Uh I hear, here are my hot takes?
- 53:37Speaker 3: Okay, please can't wait.
- 53:39Speaker 2: Jack should not be on this television show. Jax likes
- 53:41Speaker 2: to tell people he created the show. He didn't create
- 53:43Speaker 2: the show. Alex Baskin did.
- 53:45Speaker 1: And by the way, kay, how many people, including me
- 53:48Speaker 1: and you and everybody else in the world has been
- 53:50Speaker 1: saying since about the sixth season of andander Pump Rules,
- 53:54Speaker 1: We're like, it needs to be a spin off for
- 53:56Speaker 1: the original cast and then recast it. This is not
- 53:59Speaker 1: in a digital idea.
- 54:00Speaker 2: No, but Ax has the power to actually make it happen.
- 54:04Speaker 2: So Jax needs to be off the show. I mean,
- 54:07Speaker 2: he's doing everything he can to be on camera because
- 54:10Speaker 2: he wants the money, but also he is a fame addiction.
- 54:14Speaker 1: I don't think they are paid per episode or they
- 54:16Speaker 1: paid per flat rate, so he feels like like like housewives,
- 54:19Speaker 1: if they're friend of and they don't get invited on
- 54:21Speaker 1: a trip, they're not paid for the episode.
- 54:22Speaker 2: I'm not sure. I just can't stand watching him.
- 54:25Speaker 3: Okay, I think.
- 54:29Speaker 2: I think Danny is a little too all shocks for me,
- 54:33Speaker 2: Like there's gotta be some skeleton and Nia.
- 54:35Speaker 3: Okay, they've they've been talking about a drinking problem.
- 54:38Speaker 2: They're very she's very pageanty, and I know they're very
- 54:41Speaker 2: like religious. So I just it's either you're gonna find
- 54:45Speaker 2: out they're diabolical or they're going to have to be
- 54:47Speaker 2: bumped to friends, because I just don't think there's enough there.
- 54:52Speaker 1: But they're focusing on Danny's drinking problem, and it seems
- 54:54Speaker 1: like Nia and Brittany this week do get in some
- 54:57Speaker 1: kind of argument because I think Brittany's trying to be like,
- 54:59Speaker 1: I know my husbands in rehabit. Your husband's a drunk too,
- 55:02Speaker 1: and I think he is like husband under the bus.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Yeah good, I hope that stuff comes to the surface. Hey,
- 55:10Speaker 2: you know what I mean. Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 55:13Speaker 2: Other than that, I kind of like, it's not like
- 55:16Speaker 2: appointment television.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Oh it is for me, Jesse and Michelle. Do you
- 55:22Speaker 3: have a side?
- 55:24Speaker 2: Christa Rosso told me he heard that Jesse sidles up
- 55:27Speaker 2: to the pool at Chateau Mormant and the little girl
- 55:30Speaker 2: swims in the pool and he pretends he's doing business calls,
- 55:33Speaker 2: which I'm like, that sounds right because I don't think
- 55:35Speaker 2: he has a job. He has a girlfriend that's kind
- 55:37Speaker 2: of alluded to on the show, and she lives in
- 55:40Speaker 2: oc and I know people in common, and I think
- 55:43Speaker 2: she should be on the show because I think she
- 55:45Speaker 2: would be very, very very interesting. That could add like
- 55:49Speaker 2: something to the show that I think it kind of
- 55:50Speaker 2: lacks right now.
- 55:52Speaker 3: Well, maybe next season. This sister in the middle of
- 55:53Speaker 3: the divorce.
- 55:54Speaker 2: This season, yeah, it's a little dark sometimes.
- 56:00Speaker 1: That girl, that girl Jesse, her backstory is very dark. Yeah,
- 56:04Speaker 1: her backstory is dark, so we don't Yeah, she and
- 56:07Speaker 1: she seems a little dark. So she's threatening to sue
- 56:11Speaker 1: everybody all the time.
- 56:12Speaker 2: So that's not cute. No, But I mean she's somebody
- 56:16Speaker 2: who is very interested in being a socialite, and I
- 56:20Speaker 2: always find that fascinating, Like the people in South California
- 56:23Speaker 2: like an advocate, kind of social lite.
- 56:27Speaker 1: Well, she's an influencer as well in addition to being
- 56:30Speaker 1: like an advocate, So you would think she would want
- 56:32Speaker 1: to be on TV to draw attention to her cause.
- 56:34Speaker 2: But it like, are you an influencer for no one's
- 56:36Speaker 2: ever heard of you and you don't want your name
- 56:38Speaker 2: to be known, Like that's all interesting to me. So
- 56:42Speaker 2: it's a little dark right now. Jack's going to rehab
- 56:45Speaker 2: for cocaine, realizing he probably won't be hired anywhere else
- 56:50Speaker 2: unless it's like a villain show. Moving forward, Jesse and Michelle,
- 56:55Speaker 2: it's gonna, you know what, It's gonna be a season
- 56:57Speaker 2: of darkness and then it'll probably be slapstick more the
- 56:59Speaker 2: next season. Him. Yeah, because they were unknowns, they all
- 57:02Speaker 2: got famous together. They're a peeling the layer back on
- 57:05Speaker 2: their reality after they became famous, and it's going to
- 57:08Speaker 2: be dark for a little bit.
- 57:10Speaker 1: You know that Matt mar used to work with Jason
- 57:14Speaker 1: because Matt yeah, because he was like a paralegal or whatever,
- 57:18Speaker 1: and Jason was the lawyer at that firm. He say,
- 57:20Speaker 1: he's like the nicest guy on the end. He's the
- 57:22Speaker 1: patron saint of the vallet.
- 57:24Speaker 2: He's really sweet, really really seems reality just told me
- 57:28Speaker 2: that Janet lived in Ohio and was married to someone
- 57:31Speaker 2: and she was obsessed with Vanno rules and told her husband,
- 57:34Speaker 2: I'm going to give La a year and then like
- 57:38Speaker 2: came out to La, became Sheena's friend, and then like
- 57:41Speaker 2: got rid of them. I'm like, is that true?
- 57:44Speaker 3: I think that's ninety percent true. Yeah, But by the.
- 57:48Speaker 2: Way, is that totally dissimilar from like Real Housewives? Like
- 57:52Speaker 2: people want to be on the show and then they
- 57:54Speaker 2: befriend the cast member.
- 57:55Speaker 1: It's kind of like, is that different in how Brittany
- 57:57Speaker 1: met Jax or Carol, Ali and Raquel Mate met DJ
- 58:02Speaker 1: James Kennedy. I mean, yeah, I know you had Ali on.
- 58:05Speaker 1: I've not listened to list.
- 58:08Speaker 2: She's lovely. I liked her a lot. I got a
- 58:10Speaker 2: little bit more of her backstory, and then she did
- 58:12Speaker 2: my natal chart, which I thought was very interesting. That cool.
- 58:16Speaker 2: She's sweet. She h.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Did you get any scoop from her about the new
- 58:20Speaker 1: vander Pump season?
- 58:21Speaker 3: Is she going to be on it?
- 58:23Speaker 2: I didn't care to even ask.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Eight the answers we need.
- 58:30Speaker 2: I don't care. You don't care. She's going to be
- 58:32Speaker 2: on the reboot of vander Pomp. I don't care about
- 58:34Speaker 2: vander Pump. No, I don't think she is because it's
- 58:36Speaker 2: a whole new cast. It's younger people, it's not the
- 58:38Speaker 2: old people.
- 58:39Speaker 1: They don't have any person that's a throughway, not one
- 58:41Speaker 1: person that's going.
- 58:42Speaker 2: To be definitely not DJ James Kennedy.
- 58:45Speaker 3: Well not that fucker which, but she is there, completely
- 58:48Speaker 3: done right?
- 58:49Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, good, okay, Yes, she seems to have a
- 58:51Speaker 1: good enough head on her shoulders too.
- 58:53Speaker 2: She was lovely. I liked her. Yeah.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Yeah, Mandy Slitsker has talked to her quite a bit
- 58:57Speaker 1: and thinks that she's great.
- 58:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:00Speaker 2: A natal chart done by her too. No, I'm interested
- 59:04Speaker 2: to hear what other people think. I thought she was
- 59:05Speaker 2: really very perceptive about.
- 59:08Speaker 1: She's done made. Mandy doesn't have kids. I don't know
- 59:11Speaker 1: if you have to have kids to have a natal chart.
- 59:12Speaker 2: No, no, not at all. No, it's just you get
- 59:15Speaker 2: your birth date, the day you were born, where you
- 59:19Speaker 2: were born, in the time.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Okay, it has nothing to do with being a parent. Okay,
- 59:23Speaker 1: So she has read she has done Mandy's chart, Okay,
- 59:27Speaker 1: and Mandy.
- 59:28Speaker 2: Thought it was like incredibly spot on. I thought was
- 59:31Speaker 2: spot on.
- 59:33Speaker 1: Okay, really quick, let's talk about Real Housewives of Atlanta.
- 59:38Speaker 3: Shemiah.
- 59:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:40Speaker 3: I love Samiya.
- 59:41Speaker 2: Mean, I should have been on the show a couple
- 59:43Speaker 2: of seasons ago. And I do think there's some truth
- 59:45Speaker 2: that Porscha probably cock balk that and I think that
- 59:48Speaker 2: that's so too. But I also think that's what happens
- 59:50Speaker 2: with Fame. I do like Angela. I like she's a
- 59:55Speaker 2: good counterbalance for all, Like if it was all like Kenya's,
- 59:59Speaker 2: like Alpha's and like over the top, she'd like counterbalances
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: it a little bit. And I feel like Shemiah is
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: really as much as she can be, like kind of honest.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: I think she's more honest than Malors. But it's our
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: first season. I love that the aultpha she wears in
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: the interviews, it's like a purple dress. Yes, so beautiful.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: I think that Britt is a real mystery, Like do.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: You think her husband hates her? It seems like her
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: husband hates her, yeah, probably Yeah. What about Kelly the
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Queen of Wolfa.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: I didn't buy it that she said that they walk
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: around naked all the time too. I was like that
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: sounds not right. That's agree with that. Kelly is Kelly
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: is a cute as a button. Her daughter, the older one,
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: reminds me of my daughter, like just funny and.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: Just says it like it is.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: Yeah, says it like it is. I think Kelly is adorable.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: She seems like a great and I thought it was
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: cool that she was like, yeah, my daughter's father, I'm
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: like best friends with them. But this one's probably not
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: gonna happen because of the restraining order.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, Angela, back to her, so agel she.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: Bought those three properties, Like she's not obviously a very
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: good real estate agent, Like what is she doing?
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: She's a financial consultant, and I thought.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Hey, that should be over I like that worst thing
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: she could do was show us those three properties, and like,
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: now I just don't I would not trust you with
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: anything financial related.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: That house that she showed three million, I was like a.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Joke, Like as soon as you showed the pictures, I
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: was like, way overpriced. But I feel like she'd be
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: fun to go out to dinner with, Like she seemed
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: like if you had something wrong with you, you could
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: go to our house and she'll she gives great advice, yeah,
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: but not financial advice.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: No.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I think I think that we saw this week at least,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: she is more of a shit stir than we realized.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: You know, she's kind of doing like, oh I heard this,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I said that, but I didn't.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Probably like you're really bringing nothing to the table. You
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: got to step it up. Then she's like, oh okay,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: and then she was like, oh I get it, because
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: then Porscha comes over to play tennis, and Porscha's like,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: this is how you do it?
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I thought it was I thought it
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: was great her talking about, you know, her marriage and
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: saying like, okay, here's here's how that got started. About
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: the joke about the the not joke. But I said
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: to Wendy Williams is just a baby, and I've been
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: down that road too. But she said what she was
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: referring to is when her ex, the ex of who
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: she has a child with. Whether or not that's true,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: I don't know, but I thought all her giving all
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: that backstory was interesting and really talking about like, yeah,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: and my husband is cheated. It was around that time
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: he got kicked out of Madison Square Garden whatever. I
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: don't believe that story, but that's that's that he got
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: kicked out of Madison Square Garden. I don't think that
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: that was the issue in their marriage and that he
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: got kicked out of Madison Square Garden. No, obviously there
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: were many things going on in his personal life to
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: make him behave that way.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it was probably all fed into each other, right.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: He seems very cool and very handsome. Yes, he is.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: I told you my husband walked through the room and
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: was like, yeah, is that Charles Ugley on the television.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he's on this show.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: And Dave's like, oh my god.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: I just kind of like them because they just seem cool,
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: like you would want to go to their house and
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: just like hang out, Like he would walk through the
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: room and just like drop a couple like funny one.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Liners and yeah. And I also feel like they've been
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: through some shit.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Thank you. I was just about to say the thing
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: I like about them is I feel I get the
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: sense they've got a life well lived. I think maybe
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: like Kelly and Britt are too young. I really think
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Atlanta is best when you have like Angela's age. Like
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: I asked Carlos King, I'm like, who has the most
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: power in Atlanta? Because the way he described Atlanta as
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: like rooms, like what rooms can you get in? There's
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: like the socialite room, there's the like yeah, which I
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: think is like such a good way to illustrate it.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: But I said, who is the one, like the most
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: sought after invitation Atlanta, Like if she's at your party? Like,
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: oh my god, And he said, yes, Steve Harvey's wife.
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: I know, I heard you say that.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: And then I was like, well me, so I'm thinking
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: like that age group, like those are lives well lived. Yeah.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I feel about Angela. I think like
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: she and her husband have been through some stuff, they've
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: worked there.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I like that's like why I like the Judd
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: story too. It's like a life well lived, like a
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: lot of like introspection, and I just feel like the
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: younger ones they just want to be TV stars and
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: there's not a lot of introspection. I like it when
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: you talk to someone older and they're like, yeah, I
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: was a real dumb ass with my second marriage, and
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: you know, like I just like that matter.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I think Cynthia is great in a friend of role.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: I think she's doing a good job in the friend
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: of role. I think Drew's story is so nuts with
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Ralph and everything. I think it's like she's like, I
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: don't know what he does in the basement because they
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: were like he has a podcast. She's like, when did
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: you get a podcast? They're like, girl, she was, I don't.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: Know what he does in the basement. That was funny.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: She's I feel like she's young too. I feel like
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: she she might be better, like five years from now, well
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: she's got maybe like when she like married again, or
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: her kids are older, and she's like, oh, remember when
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: I was married to Ralph. I don't know. I feel
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: like she's going to get better the older she gets.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: Remember when I was ready to Ralph?
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Like, I feel like I
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: love Sonya Richard Ross. I love her so much. It's
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: going to be so good in like eight more years
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: because her kids are really little.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: What do you think is there a world when Kenya
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: ever gets to come back? No, doubtful really is getting
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: to come back. And she had gotten canceled off. They
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: st launched her on a goult.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Not right now, No, I think it was Watching that
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: playback was really painful, terrible, terrible. We don't like, we
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: don't even like Britt, it was still terrible. Maybe she can,
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: you know, apologize or do whatever. I don't know. I
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: don't see that. That was really hard to watch.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: She's what I've seen the press that she's done it.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: And granted I'm not like following it or googling it
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: or trying to figure it out.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: Just what has popped up for me?
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I saw her on Tambern Hall Show and she was
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: sort of like what you guys, Yeah, what you don't
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: understand is I was literally being threatened and they were
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: doing nothing about it. And Okay, all that could be true,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: but yeah, that's one of those things. It's like we'll
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: never know. So it just it's the crime doesn't the
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: punishment doesn't fit the crime.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: I don't know because what I don't know, I just
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: feel like there's a lot that they're not telling us
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: there to see something with a network like that, you
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: have a general counsel involved, there's something that happened that
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: they were like this, we cannot move forward because this
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: is too much of a liability.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: But they but they ended up. I mean they showed
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: it ish, they showed what happened on a camera because
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: we knew about it, it's probably worse.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Well, on that happy note, like does anybody want to
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: like listen it all fun jokes aside, like we like
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: to see like as the kids would say, you know,
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: shade yes, but what is the name of this podcast? Kate?
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? Like you get I get it.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: I get it, Like that's fun, But I also do
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: not like feeling like I'm participating as if you were
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: in a woman being humiliated. You don't know what life
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: situation she was in in order to be in that
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: moment of her life and to berate her on like
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: that like another woman shouldn't do that. I just thought
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: it made me so sad and enraged at the same time.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: I will really just wanted to go and like pull
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: the plug on the production. I just was like, and
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: then I felt bad for all the people behind the
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: scenes who work who probably like this is not what
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: we're trying to make this is. And then if you're
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: at the network and you get the dailies and you're like,
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: what the hell?
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah, and you got to think, like, who
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: is Kinny's producer that allowed that to happen?
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: Oh well, I asked Carlos, and he said she she
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: just she did her own thing.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: I mean, did she what Kinko's printed the photos out
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: for her?
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: I agree with you. I also think, and I've said
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: this before and I know that you agree with me,
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: is that the women on these shows encircle themselves with
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: people who tell them they're the greatest thing ever and
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: that their gross behaviors are iconic. Yeah, and do them
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: zero favors. You need to have friends like Mary Paine
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: and Kate who are going to go let me break
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: this down to you. In fact, I spoke with somebody
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: last night for an hour who is on a housewives
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: show and just walking through things that it will never
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: air on a podcast and never we talked about on
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: the show. It's just they don't trust people in their lives.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: They just don't trust them. And I'm like, all right, well,
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: I was like, because I'm kind of in the world,
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: but I'm out where, I'm like, yeay, that sounds like
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: a nightmare, or don't do that.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, we have a mutual friend, Heather, and
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: I've said that to her, like, I don't know what
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: world you live in where all these people are trying
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: to like stab you in the back and I think
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: it is something about being in the entertainment industry and
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: being a celebrity and people just kind of constantly trying
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: to like take you down or get one up so
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: they can get that gig or and you're like.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: How could you trust anybody?
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Can't trust me, really know, how could you trust anybody
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: to just like be your friend and be like, yeah,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: that was like I invited you to do this, and
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: that was because you're my friend, not because I'll get
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: more clicks and likes or you know.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: What I mean.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: It's just sad.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it's right.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Again, we're just ending on a depressing note, but I
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: want to end on a happy note.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: So tell everybody about your podcast.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: And what's coming up this week. So this episode comes
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: out Thursday, so you can even promote what's coming out
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: next week because you put out a thousand episodes a week.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: I know, Okay. I covered Liver King Sean Combe's Judd
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: Family on Thursday. Friday, I'm not sure yet. Saturday, I'm
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: interviewing a woman I came across who has a hilarious Instagram,
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: Mackenzie Barman, and what she's done is she has made
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: a show, a make believe show, called sixty somethings. She
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: uses a filter to have a different face for each
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: of her characters, and she writes the whole thing and
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: it's absolutely hysterical. And so I'm going to interview her
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: about Okay, all right, I'm going to be interviewing boy George.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: I have an episode about the Brett farre scandal on
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: that's going to be doc on Netflix.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: When's that coming out on Netflix? You know, May twentieth? Okay,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: well you do know.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: That'll be my Tuesday episode. So what is ever that?
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: The whatever? That is eighteenth or something?
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: And Mississippi's not finest.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: That's a doozy of a story. Wowser's I have a
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: story I'm chasing about a person that pretended to be
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: a soccer star, like I don't know, a true true
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: crime one. Coming up to Kate, you just said something.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: Oh did you?
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: I know?
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: I'm sure you did, and I'm sure you interviewed the director,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: sweet Bobby.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: No, I never did.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Okay, So did you listen to the podcast or watch
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: the documentary?
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: No?
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Okay, since you haven't into the podcast, I would like
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: for you to watch the documentary. Okay, we Amy and
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: I covered it last week. It's a few months old,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: the documentary, but it's you know, it's a cat fishing
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: story and you're in any of these catfishing stories or
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: you're just you're again, you're so infuriated. You're like, why
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: didn't you have one person in your life to be
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: like this makes zero sense? And you're not trying to
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: say to your friend are you stupid? Like I don't
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: get it because I understand catfishing happens and whatever it
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: happens for whatever. People are lonely, they're vulnerable, whatever, But
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: you don't have one person in your life that you
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: trust because people were saying, hey, I don't think this
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: is right, and she's just like you just don't understand
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: our love. But you're just like, don't you have one
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: person that you trust that could look at you and say, hey,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: you trust me? Let me just tell you that something
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: here smells bad. It's only like an hour and twenty minutes.
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: Okay, watch that. I just remembered tonight, A have to
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: watch a screen or four The Highland All murders.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Oh, back in the day when people were like tapering
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: with the talent all was that in the eighties.
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: I'm going to go with nineties. But I think we're wrong.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: I go watch.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: But I remember when they I remember in my lifetime
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: when they started putting the seal on top of the
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: mensis because before that you would just open it up
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: and take your baby, baby, your baby aspirin. That's right,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: no safety seals at all.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: No, So I'm interviewing the director of that. Oh wow, yeah,
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: that's interesting. Okay, you guys came. Yes, you guys have
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: to listen to the episode I just did on Saturday
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: with Steve Carter because he was adopted. I listened to
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: the orphanage when he was four out of Hawaii, and
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: when he was five, he went onto a missing kid's
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: website and he looked at an age progression photo and
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: realized that he was a missing child.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: I listened to that gate.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: That's a crazy story too.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Sometimes your Saturday series are too sad for me to
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: listen to. Yeah, but that one was interesting, and it
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: sounds like the one you have coming up will be funny.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: Yeah. No, you go to her Instagram and TikTok Mackenzie
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: m A c K E n z I E. Barman.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: This series makes me laugh so hard, as she's such
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: such she must be in her twenties. She nails. She
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: nails all of these characters. They're so there's a whole
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: drama because they went to the high school reunion and
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: this couple was married, and like she's miserable, but she's
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: in love with this guy and he's been born to
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: the diner every night at six o'clock waiting for her
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: and her daughter found a letter that was in the
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: drawer and it's like hilarious and so well done.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: That's hilarious. Okay, well I'll go okay, because you know
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: it's the last A B A R what.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: B A R m An, I'll tell you one last thing.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: I am going to start a thing where once I'm
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: going to start with once a month, I'm gonna do
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: a scripted episode where I'm going to inter somebody, interview
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: somebody in the script word.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Ooh, what's who's your first person going to be?
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm the booking I'm working on right now,
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: but I yeah, I really would love to be like
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: the person you go to about like TV. Well, you
