- 0:00Trending. Now here's what you need to know. Whoa ow. It was
- 0:05a late one last night to overtime for the Super Bowl. The Chiefs ended
- 0:08up winning twenty five to twenty two. Patrick Mahomes won his third Super Bowl
- 0:12MVP. It was wild. I mean slow kind of started the game and
- 0:16then uh, you just kind of felt I was like, okay, the
- 0:20forty nine ers. I was rooting for the Chiefs the whole time. Forty
- 0:23nine ers. It was twenty two to nineteen, and we had a board
- 0:25at work. I would have won two hundred and fifty dollars if they well,
- 0:28a man and nobody wants to hear. But it's like fantasy football.
- 0:31I know. The golden rule is nobody cares about you fantasy football and nobody
- 0:34cares about your bet. That was the moment though, I was like,
- 0:38Okay, all right, I don't need the Chiefs to win. If Mams
- 0:42taken home to two hundred and fifty minus is life changing money. Just imagine
- 0:46you could have quit today. That's you coulda take your kids up. That's
- 0:50a quick stop to Costco. Are you kidding me? I would probably wouldn't
- 0:53even for work over the whole bill but either way, it was a good
- 0:57It was an exciting finish, and that's all you can ask for. If
- 0:59you're like not a fan of either team, it's like, well, at
- 1:00the least give me an entertaining game. It was, and now we're to
- 1:03the point with the Kansas City Chiefs much like we were with Tom Brady and
- 1:07the Patriots for all those years. It's like, Okay, that's enough,
- 1:10we don't need to see you again. Take a break. My husband is
- 1:12actually a Chiefs fan. He's not a big NFL fan altogether, but he's
- 1:15always rooted for them. He was rooting for the forty nine ers because of
- 1:19Brock pretty playing at Iowa State, and he was just as an Iowa State
- 1:23football legend. Yeh, I wouldn't go legend, but he was on the
- 1:26team. He sued it up. But it was one of those moments too.
- 1:30I could just tell with his energy last night kind of all right,
- 1:34the Chiefs. He was just frustrated by it, you know me, It's
- 1:37just like it was so over the top because it's just you see it all
- 1:40over social media, you see all the stuff. But speaking of entertainment,
- 1:44last night, Riba, well, she was Riba for the national anthem and
- 1:47they're saying a good anthem. It was. Yeah, it was everything you
- 1:51would have expected was at Whitney Houston or anything, but you know, it's
- 1:53Reba, so no one. Thing that was very I was kind of thrown
- 1:57off post Alone America, the beautiful singing that rendition. I thought it was
- 2:01great. Yeah, playing guitar and he can pluck himself a little guitar,
- 2:05but listen, gosh, we're in the skinny jeans. Yeah. I just
- 2:15didn't know he was. I'm not gonna say this talented, just didn't have
- 2:19this diversity. I guess, oh yeah he Uh. When I was turned
- 2:23onto his diversity, Amanda was when the pandemic had just started, everybody was
- 2:27locked at home or whatever, and he did a Nirvana tribute from home where
- 2:30he played guitar and say cool on Nirvana covers. Sent It was pretty awesome.
- 2:34So he's cooler than people give him credit. And then I guess.
- 2:36There was a halftime show with Usher, which also, much like the football
- 2:39game, started out a little slow. I really wish that we did not
- 2:43know Alicia Keys was going to be there, because that would have been that
- 2:46aha woe moment. Also, I just didn't maybe start with her. I
- 2:51don't know if maybe that's how they should have started for some reason. It's
- 2:54not an a plus for me. It was good, but it just wasn't.
- 2:57I had really high expectations for it. I mean the dancing though,
- 3:00that was probably the most impressive dancing we've seen from the actual perform and not
- 3:04the choreograph. People. I mean just smooth as ice. Yeah, smooth
- 3:07as butter real swice, smoothest thing you can think of. Smooth as ice
- 3:13cream. Smooth baby's bottom, that's one, right. I guess if you
- 3:17got baby oil, let's go baby oil. Maybe not baby bottom. People
- 3:22say that, No, I know they don't smooth as a baby's bottom covered
- 3:24in baby oil. All right. Taylor Swift breaking news, she landed,
- 3:30breaking news, She made it to the stadium, breaking news. They showed
- 3:34her all up on the TV, and now people are saying she needs to
- 3:38break up with Travis Kelce because his insane behavior on the sidelines. Nobody is
- 3:43going to condone what he did. Absolutely not. After the fact, he
- 3:46did say, oh yeah, I was just telling Coach read how much I
- 3:50loved him, kind of playing it off. Coach Reid also was like yeah,
- 3:53got me off on my feet a little. They were, you know,
- 3:55well, he assaulted. He assaulted an elderly man and was screaming so
- 4:00that the veins were coming out of his forehead. It was insane behavior.
- 4:02Yes, yeah, I mean, I honestly, I'm not going to go
- 4:04to the point saying that she should break out with them, but at the
- 4:06very least, you don't love to see that from your boyfriend, Like,
- 4:10oh my god, you're capable of that. But every good person has bad
- 4:13moments. That's so true. It was so deep. Wow. Wow,
- 4:20I'm gonna take that. I'm gonna use that one. Every good person has
- 4:25bad moments, and that was a bad moment. You want to know,
- 4:27the good moment was when he got everybody hyped up on stage after the assault
- 4:30and was going Viva Las Vegas. Well, his girl was sitting there holding
- 4:35mom and Donna's hands, and then they finally got a chance, Taylor and
- 4:40Trapp to have their love story. I know we want to talk about football
- 4:43right now, but as I look at Travis Kelsey and Taylor swith you would
- 4:46talk about the relationship all year long. That right, there's question that woman
- 4:49is down there in tears Travis is emotional. That's real love. That's what
- 4:54you can get when you have the good, supportive Luna behind you. And
- 4:57just I hope Taylor Swift and all the Taylor Swift fans who watching football,
- 5:00I hope you know that that's not how it goes. This is not the
- 5:03typical NFL fan experience. You don't just win the super Bowl all the time.
- 5:09Okay, so that's very annoying. You don't know. You just go
- 5:12to twelve games and then your thirteenth as a super Bowl and you're like yay,
- 5:15and then you go to the after party and everybody's playing your music.
- 5:18Imagine and for some you know, Vikings fans listening, it's like, sometimes
- 5:21you have to go an entire lifetime without winning one. Wow. True,
- 5:27really, it's true. Hey, I'm a Packer fan and it's been over
- 5:30a decade, so you know I'm due too. Okay, I'm just saying
- 5:33I hopefully, for her sake, next year they go through some struggles,
- 5:38That's what I'm hoping. Well, we'll see what happens. I can't tell
- 5:40you this. I know it's a struggle today after the super Bowl, but
- 5:44the weather's gonna be pretty decent some sunshine today hiat thirty five, Maybe some
- 5:46flouries tomorrow. Otherwise all is well here. I mean we're getting some good
- 5:49weatherolute seb. It's Monday. Let's go it a minute in the morning,
- 5:55Big ninety eight point seven. Do you ever find yourself doing or saying something
- 5:58and just thinking, you know, am I a undred years old? Oh?
- 6:00All the time? What they would call boomer behavior? What I found
- 6:04some things that I want to see if you do or not? These are
- 6:06boomer behaviors that young people catch themselves doing. Okay, yeah, it was
- 6:10really yesterday not being able to even stay till halftime of a Super Bowl party
- 6:14because I'm like, I have got to get out of these jeans and I
- 6:16need to go home because I just want to sit on my couch. Oh
- 6:19absolutely, yeah told us Judging what the youths are wearing, totally. Yeah,
- 6:25it is objectively ridiculous some of the things I'm seeing from kids. But
- 6:30even so, let's go holy jeans, I have like distressed jeans. Of
- 6:32course, my grandpa, of typical gramps, I remember rolling in and he's
- 6:38like, ah, couldn't afford jeans. What's going on? You know?
- 6:41Did you buy him like that. Yeah, but now, like the jeans
- 6:43that are the girls are wearing. I mean basically they're a Jane short and
- 6:46then the back of the pant is a pant and then they're wide open all
- 6:50the way down, you know what I mean, Like they're they're so holy
- 6:54through there. It's like, oh yeah, just so breezy. They're kind
- 6:56of like that Boyfriend Jean. I'm like, cute, I guess, but
- 7:00little Holy Girl. It just reminds you of like even when we were younger,
- 7:02when holes and genes were popular back and like but the two thousands or
- 7:05whatever. And if you find yourself saying anything along the lines of, oh
- 7:09I got a pair like that at home, then you know, I pade
- 7:11half the price, you know, exactly. Yes. Ignoring newer music,
- 7:15right, that's a boomer thing to do. Apparently, when you stop listening
- 7:17to new music and you just go back to your same old the classics,
- 7:21that's human nature. I read a study once that I think it's twenty six
- 7:26years old. People kind of stop listening to new music or getting into new
- 7:30music. Yeah, they've got to really be catchy, I mehan. We
- 7:31talk about that all the time, Like little boothing that came on. It's
- 7:35like, bam, that's a jam. Yeah, justin Timberlake's new song.
- 7:39Loved it. Yeah, Well, it's just you gotta have Sometimes it takes
- 7:42a little bit longer to enjoy it. Well, I'll take you. I'll
- 7:45tell you what it takes. Because the songs you love from growing up,
- 7:47it's because you know how music is. You associate those songs with certain times
- 7:50in your life, and you have those memories with it. With new music
- 7:54when I'm you know, in our age now, it's like, yeah,
- 7:57you don't have the you're not I heard this song driving to work again today.
- 8:03How exciting. I'll never forget this moment. I said. You just
- 8:05don't have that emotional connection, like song's gonna be really good, just catchy
- 8:09and good lyrics. But you know, you're never gonna probably love a song
- 8:13quite like you did when you were growing up, because you're just not gonna
- 8:15yeah, like you said, It's like, man, I remember that song
- 8:18came out the day I got paid that month. What a day, What
- 8:20a day I get a Manda in the morning, ninety seven many you are
- 8:24ready for this, Oh my gosh, I am giddy for that. So
- 8:28exciting. We've been talking about our Big ninety eight point seven Golden Valentines,
- 8:33because you know, every Valentines you celebrate love. However, I feel like
- 8:37we need to focus on a certain type of love, and this year we
- 8:41chose golden love. Couples who have been together for decades, stood the test
- 8:46of time, been through thick and thin, and just still are as in
- 8:48love with each other as they were the first day they met. No.
- 8:52I just cannot wait to get to know this couple. So here's the deal.
- 8:56We're gonna be renewing the vows of the Golden Valentin's. They're gonna get
- 9:00two thousand dollars from a cutting edge gallery of jewelry. But let's not say
- 9:01that too loud. Yeah, right, because we're about to make the call
- 9:05right now. We've randomly selected the winners, and remember Wednesday being Valentine's Day,
- 9:09that's going to be the big vow renewal. Okay, all right,
- 9:11ready here we go. Hello, Well, good morning. Is this Joanne?
- 9:18Hi Joanne? Hello? My name is Pike. Let me introduce myself.
- 9:22I do a morning radio show here in Fargo and Big ninety eight point
- 9:24seven, and this is Amanda. Well good morning sign Hi Amanda, thank
- 9:30you for taking the call. I know there's a lot of fraudsters out there,
- 9:31not us. So Joanne, we've been doing this thing because, of
- 9:35course Valentine's Day is just coming right up here. We wanted to honor on
- 9:39our radio station one couple. We wanted to pick one who's just you know,
- 9:43their love is inspiring, long lasting, and so we've been taking nominations
- 9:48on our website. Okay, So, Joanne, we got some good news
- 9:52for you. Your daughter Doreen nominated you and your husband. Now, what's
- 9:56your husband's name? Wayne? Wayne? Ane and Wayne? How long,
- 10:01Joanne? How long have you and Wayne been married? Sixty two years?
- 10:05Whoa baby? Well, Joanne got a question for you. How would you
- 10:09like to be our official big ninety eight point seven Golden Valentines. That sounds
- 10:16awesome. Oh my gosh. We're so excited now it's not just being our
- 10:22Golden Valentine, and we want to showcase your love. There's a little bit
- 10:24more to it, and by a little bit a lot. Does she sound
- 10:28like Joanna? You watch the Prices right ever? Yeah? Yeah, she's
- 10:33kind of giving you the under showcase number one. You are going to receive
- 10:41a two thousand dollars ring from a cutting edge gallery of jewelry. Are you
- 10:48serious? Yeah, that's serious. I want to put you on speaker for
- 10:54because my husband is right here. Old. Yeah, let's get Wayne on
- 10:58Wayne on? Wayne? Are you there? H Well, we just told
- 11:01your wife the good news. But you, guys, because you're a golden
- 11:05Valentine's, you're gonna get a two thousand dollars ring from our friends at a
- 11:09cutting edge gallery of jewelry. Ooh holy, Wayne's thinking to Wayne's thinking,
- 11:16I didn't have to pay for that. Well, you guys were so excited
- 11:20to get to meet you and talk about your relationship. Would you guys be
- 11:24willing to tomorrow come into the studio and hang out with us for a bit.
- 11:28How early are we going to see you tomorrow? I mean we're thinking
- 11:31maybe seventeen fifteen if possible. Ooh, well, I think we're going to
- 11:37have to set the alarm earlier. I just love that you're still setting an
- 11:39alarm. I'd be sleeping in every day of my life if I could.
- 11:43Doesn't mean we get up when it goes off. I get a minute in
- 11:48the morning. Steak seven overall last night watching the halftime show. No good.
- 11:54Listen, It's not that it wasn't good. It was not bad.
- 11:58I mean, I love Usher, I love Alicia Key is ludicrous, all
- 12:01of them, Like Little John, I loved all of that. I don't
- 12:03know what I was expecting. It just wasn't that. Does it make sense?
- 12:07I don't know. It was. Well, you're not alone. I
- 12:09mean a lot of people had bad things to say, and a lot of
- 12:11people have good things to say. And listen, every year it's gonna be
- 12:15the exact same totally. I mean, to me, the super Bowl halftime
- 12:18show, there's like the floor and the ceiling of it are very close together,
- 12:20you know what I mean, It's gonna be very similar. There's gonna
- 12:22be a million dancers, and it's gonna be like, oh wow, cool,
- 12:26look at how many people are dancing very impressively. Yeah, the stage
- 12:28is gonna be crazy. It's all lit up, and you know that's cool
- 12:31too, But again, has nothing to do with the performer themselves. And
- 12:35yeah, Usher can dance great, got a ton of hits. But really
- 12:39what it comes down to is just how much do you like that music?
- 12:43You know, because the performance itself, they're all gonna be very similar in
- 12:46my mind. And I think what happened is for me, it started out
- 12:50so slow. I guess I was just expecting it was really to the point
- 12:54because we were sitting there and like, oh my gosh, it's on.
- 12:58Like there was no just like Bay, let's get this show started. And
- 13:01I guess that's what you're usually anticipating, whether they fly in, come up,
- 13:05do whatever. It's just like he was standing there was kind of dancer
- 13:09walking, and then of course it escalated. Well yeah, And I guess
- 13:11to me it seemed like maybe that was by design, which I thought was
- 13:15sort of cool. Is like this is just crescendo for my music people,
- 13:18No, sure, but it really just yeah, at the end, its
- 13:20exploded. But when he came out caught up, I was really excited.
- 13:24I was caught off guard because I didn't think he was going to do that
- 13:26one. And he came out singing. You know, you could obviously tell
- 13:31where he was actually live singing, which was appreciated. But yeah, the
- 13:35more he danced and obviously got oh he was pretty good lather going. He
- 13:39was all kinds of sweaty. I was really bummed that we found out in
- 13:43advance that Alicia Keys was going to be there, because that would have been
- 13:48like the was it the fifty cent moment? We didn't know fifty was no,
- 13:50no, no, when he was hanging upside down. Yes, So
- 13:52that I think would have been, oh my gosh. Either way, I'm
- 13:56glad she was there. I mean, she is solid. I thought they're
- 14:00performance was super cute, a little a little touchy feeling for me. It
- 14:03hasn't be an announce that announced yet, but they're obviously together. There's just
- 14:07no way they're not. But no, it was cool that she did her
- 14:11song and I forget they did a duet of that song. Yep, what
- 14:15the hecks? What song is? It's oh my goodness, are we really
- 14:18doing this? It's uh, well, we'll think of it. But you
- 14:20know, the one she was playing on the piano. I forgot that he
- 14:22did do a version with her. And then to go right into my boo
- 14:26was just if I ain't got you, if I ain't got you Alicia Keys,
- 14:35of course, of course. And then so as soon as I think
- 14:39it was like Alicia Keys, and then when he went into confessions, I'm
- 14:41like, all right, then he was so sweaty. He took his shirt
- 14:45off for burn, and I think everybody went like whoo. Yeah. But
- 14:48then the roller skates that that was wild. I mean, when you're sitting
- 14:52there in these meetings, I'm sure it's like, what can we do that's
- 14:54gonna be different, that's gonna get people to talk about it? And wouldn't
- 14:58it guess roller skates? But it did it. Yeah, I was pretty
- 15:01good. It was impressive. There were so many people out there skating.
- 15:05How do you he almost crashed? Can you? The one guy was gonna
- 15:07like whoo? But yeah, and then all the lights everything. Put me
- 15:11on some skates, not a chance. No, we should have press some
- 15:15skates in today, see if we could do it. And then this this
- 15:18is I mean, hearing this song was cool. Chills, just chills.
- 15:28So overall, I mean, I think it was pretty good. I think
- 15:31it was pretty good. Yeah, the missault was there. I'm not gonna
- 15:33say it was the best ever. I'll probably give it give it a bee,
- 15:39sure, And I don't think I've ever given worse than the bee.
- 15:41I've never maybe you know what I mean? What was what has been your
- 15:45favorite? Like I said earlier, it comes down to what your personal preference
- 15:48in music is and for me, I've never been more excited or enjoyed watching
- 15:52more than Doctor dre Eminem Mary jambliged all that. Yeah, like that.
- 15:58I mean, that's just my stuff until they get like Blink Win eighty two
- 16:00up there or some pop punk two thousands band, which I guess like Green
- 16:06Day. I think that would be really cool, but I don't know if
- 16:07it's gonna happen. Yeah, I do. Uh, I do. Like
- 16:10all the petitions though, did you see change dot Org has one that it
- 16:12has to be country next year. It has to be. That's the rule.
- 16:17It just has to be. You know. I would have said no,
- 16:21And now, of course we got a Beyonce country album, so probably
- 16:23who knows. Amanda in the Morning, Amanda stills, let's see, let's
- 16:30see Brad to buy Park Company Real Tours. Kanye West is being torn apart
- 16:36by Taylor Swift fans online because he name dropped her in his new song called
- 16:40Carnival, and uh, I don't know why they're so upset because nobody even
- 16:42knows what it means. But he claims he made six Taylor Swift. No,
- 16:48that's the lyric six Taylor Swift. Sure, it's six uh huh uh
- 16:52huh, yep, yep, Yeah, that means nothing to me. I
- 16:55guess, un once there's a deeper meaning that really is offensive. I don't
- 16:57know. But just the fact that he's bringing her up again and again and
- 17:02again find it. Yeah, gained some relevancy here. The fall he's had
- 17:06here. Yeah, and it's all self inflicted, of course. And what
- 17:08he is doing with his now wife, the way he's literally parading her around
- 17:14as though she is a show pony wearing no clothes. I guess her family
- 17:17is just on high alert. They're super concerned, kind of making it out
- 17:19to be like they can't get in contact with her or they don't like they
- 17:23can't get through to her, like you know, this isn't okay, right,
- 17:26because she's just under this whatever Kanye kind of spell. I mean,
- 17:30that's what it appears to us. But of course you hope that she's a
- 17:33willing participant and that she's along for the ride. Yeah. Now, going
- 17:36back to the show ponies, do you like your show ponies clothed or unclothed?
- 17:41I like it with a saddle, yeah, A little saddle on him.
- 17:44By the way, Taylor Swift unfazed by this entire thing. She plans
- 17:47to enjoy obviously her time with Travis now that she's going to be back on
- 17:49her aras to where he's supposed to be going with her. And also she
- 17:52is set to direct her first feature film for Starlight Pictures the end of next
- 17:56year. So she is putting on a new album, finishing her to her
- 18:00and then directing a film. Okay, I want her to just settle down,
- 18:03go away for a little bit, engage, be a mom, like
- 18:07I'm ready for that era of Taylor Swift. Well, apparently she's not.
- 18:10She's wanted to direct, which when you're that famous and rich and you've done
- 18:12at all, there's no more to be done in music. Really, I
- 18:15mean she will. I'm sure she's not just done, but yeah, go
- 18:18direct a movie. What the heck? It'll probably stink, but you know
- 18:21who knows. And we were kind of teasing it last week, but Beyonce
- 18:26has gone country for her Renaissance Part two album, The Verizon super Bowl Ad
- 18:32announced that she has two new songs. She dropped him last night. Let
- 18:37me know your thoughts, Okay, Pike, this is the first one called
- 18:40Texas hold Well, I hate the title already, but well, cfo be
- 18:42surprised, nocuse anybody else people would be like, what kind of garbage is
- 18:56this? And I love Beyonce like you'd be giggling and being like this is
- 19:00so cheeky like jaxuas Home, No, come on here a country fa I
- 19:06am? What's not pretend? Like the bar lyrically is very high. It's
- 19:08the point of it. It's Beyonce. If you're gonna, if you're gonna
- 19:11step over into this world, come on now. It sounds fine to me
- 19:17whatever I mean, I'm sure her fans will love it. I'm more interested
- 19:18because part two of this Renaissance trilogy is country, so that means the third
- 19:23one is gonna be what metal? Yeah, just haven't met I mean,
- 19:26honestly, i'd be sweet, all right. And then she dropped another one.
- 19:29It's called sixteen carriages. That's a lot of carriages, sixteen sages turning
- 19:36away with my way to the I don't know. I mean, it's not
- 19:48bad. I just don't know if I'm prepared for this. I need to
- 19:51wrap my head around it all. It's a lot, so I think a
- 19:52lot of people have to do that yet, So I don't know. I
- 19:56doubt it's gonna go down as one of her more critically acclaimed albums, But
- 20:00much like Taylor Swift, it's what she wanted to do. Then go do
- 20:03it forever, have fun, have fun, kid this I am excited about.
- 20:06ABC officially ordered The Golden Bachelorette, so that is going to be back
- 20:10in the fall. We don't know the leading lady yet, if it's going
- 20:12to be somebody who was on the show before, or if we're getting some
- 20:15fresh meat. That was just a weird way because it's not We're all bags
- 20:22and meat. At the end of the day. I'm just excited. I
- 20:25loved it so much. Is there any of the ladies from the first one
- 20:29with Jerry that you would like or do you think we should just start over?
- 20:32I think we could start over. I did like Faith, who was
- 20:34the radio gal who made it to I think second runner up or something like
- 20:38that. I really enjoyed her. I would love for her to I mean,
- 20:41I'd love for them all to find love. But don't you think we
- 20:44could go older yet? I mean, yeah, you think they had those
- 20:48sweet spot there? Whatever, they's seventy. I kind of liked it because
- 20:52they were still like young enough to go and do, still sassy enough and
- 20:57also kind of caddy. I mean, yeah, some of these ladies like,
- 21:00geez, you're looking good too, by the way, I mean just
- 21:04I don't know, yeah, I think they could go older. What do
- 21:07you Yeah, like we're talking like a hundred plus. Oh, come on,
- 21:15immobile would be ideal, just straight up, just so they're in the
- 21:19nursing home and all everything is bingo dates all that, because that's what we
- 21:22were kind of expecting it to be. The fact that they were not doing
- 21:26any of that. Yeah, yeah, you'd like to see at least a
- 21:27little bingo like it a mind in the morning on Big Nutty eight point seven.
- 21:37But now it's time for our now infamous game called is It Weird?
- 21:41Where we find out if the little things we do in our personal life are
- 21:44weird or if everyone else is doing them too. And Amanda, you got
- 21:47a weird one today? They do. Mine's kind of a two part question.
- 21:49So yesterday we were at a Super Bowl party and I was ready to
- 21:53roll out, like after the first quarter, uh huh. And my husband
- 21:57is like, no, that is so rude. He thought it was so
- 22:00weird that I like First of all, we got there a little early.
- 22:04I don't think it's weird to leave the party early. He's like, that's
- 22:07just so like they they're hosting, they did all this stuff, and you're
- 22:10just like in, you eight and you're out, Like, yeah, you
- 22:14gotta kind of you do have some obligatory hanging out time. That's what I
- 22:18was wondering. I'm like, I didn't feel like I was being rude.
- 22:19I wanted to get home. Of course, our alarm clock comes early,
- 22:23you know what I mean. But I kind of felt like people were looking
- 22:26at me like, Okay, well let me ask you, Yeah, what
- 22:27did you bring? I brought the taco dip? Did you make it or
- 22:32did you buy it? Made it? Okay? Yeah, that I guess
- 22:36that calls from me probably like thirty to forty minutes of hanging out. Okay,
- 22:38Now, if you had brought like some chili or some wings, then
- 22:41I think you're allowed to probably sneak out of it, depending on what you're
- 22:45doing. Yeah. So also with the leaving and what you're bringing. So
- 22:48as we were on our way over there, my husband's like, well,
- 22:51let's go grab some beer. So I had he had like this huge case
- 22:55of beer and he was sitting there and he kind of whispered. He's like,
- 22:57do I do I just leave it here? Or do I like take
- 23:00it? I'm like, you leave it here, like, first of all,
- 23:03you're not gonna drink it when we get home, Like that's not happening.
- 23:06But you leave it, Like when somebody invites you over, don't you
- 23:08just leave it? I don't know, instead of like going and grabbing it.
- 23:11It's like, okay, we're leaving. That is awkward. I was
- 23:15in this situation recently. But it's like if I bring a twenty four rack
- 23:18of beer and I have three, Like, am I leaving you twenty one
- 23:22beers? I mean that's that's your donation, so that Hey, thanks for
- 23:26thanks for hosting. I don't like that. Now people want you over.
- 23:29They invite you over it like you're not obligated anything to them. That don't
- 23:33it's you know what I mean, I'm not I'm not hosting a for profit
- 23:37party. Yeah, do you get the leftovers already? All right, I'll
- 23:41invite you all over. But I know I'm getting something out of this.
- 23:44Okay, No, I don't know. I think the beer thing, I
- 23:45think that's not weird. I don't like that. I don't like that,
- 23:48but yeah, you definitely got to hang out if you're going to be going
- 23:51to a party like that. It's just always so uncomfortable because you see people.
- 23:53It's like hey, because if people come to our house, I will
- 23:56like, hey, don't forget to grab this going, you know what I
- 24:00mean. But I'm also like really weird, like when people are leaving and
- 24:03I'm like handing them their stuff, like see you later. Here's this,
- 24:07here's that. That's just to get out of my house, right A Man,
- 24:12is it weird that I known football fan did not watch the Super Bowl?
- 24:18Yes? This is insane behavior. I might be. I don't know
- 24:22if anybody's ever liked football more than me, big football guy. But I
- 24:26just there's numerous people who love football more than you because they actually watch the
- 24:29Super Bowl. No, I mean there's all sorts of factors. As you
- 24:32know, I've made it known as we've been talking, big Green Bay Packer
- 24:34fan. They lost to the forty nine Ers should have beat them. They
- 24:37beat the Chiefs earlier this year. So the fact that they lost in heartbreaking
- 24:42fashion, I just need a break. I need to like cleanse myself a
- 24:45football because it just makes me mad watching these two teams play. And you
- 24:49know, so you pulled a total chick move and you were Netflix and chilling
- 24:53and watching True Detective. Listen, if you haven't watched True Detective, I
- 24:57have in the first season is like ten years old now, but I mean
- 25:00it stars one Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. I'm gonna have to check it
- 25:06out. I mean, unbelievable, great show. But we get home and
- 25:07we as soon as the Packers lose. The only reason we have live TV
- 25:11throughout the year is so we can watch football, watch the Packers. So
- 25:15I canceled it immediately. You know. And my wife does watch some Bravo
- 25:18shows on there, but that's you know, that's the sacrifice she has to
- 25:22make. Oh gotcha, So she'll never Jorneyeds. As soon as the Packers
- 25:26were done, we just really cut the cord. She can catch up on
- 25:30him next year when the season starts. We don't even have electricity at this
- 25:33point. I mean, so no, I didn't watch it at all.
- 25:36Yeah, I looked up the score at the end of the game. I'm
- 25:37like, I wonder how that football game's going. But otherwise no, I
- 25:41didn't, you know what, I didn't have anxiety wondering what was going on,
- 25:45not at all. In fact, it was sort of relieving. Now.
- 25:48Of course I watched the halftime show after it was posted on YouTube,
- 25:52which was great, loved it, But no, I think it felt good.
- 25:55Just because society tells you you need to do something, it kind of
- 25:59feels good to go the opposite direction. So you didn't even watch the Puppy
- 26:03Bull, did not watch the Puffyopule. I forgot it was on, totally
- 26:06missed them. I feel like that was a big thing for like three years.
- 26:08I know whatever happened that. And then since we weren't at home,
- 26:11I wanted to check out the Nickelodeon. Did you well, I guess you
- 26:15didn't get a chance to watch that. You can keep gaming live TV events,
- 26:21and I promise you my answer is not gonna chance. Did you show
- 26:22with Justin Hartley after? That's on my DVR? You didn't watch that either,
- 26:26but tell me you caught the news like an amenda in the morning on
- 26:33Big I for one, cannot be more excited for this year's Valentine's because we
- 26:37have selected our Golden Valentines. You heard us talking last week about we want
- 26:41to just celebrate the love of one couple who's been together a long time.
- 26:45And so the names of our golden Valentines joe Anne and Wayne. They have
- 26:48been married for sixty two years. Incredible, adorable couple. Last hour we
- 26:55called surprise them, told them that they'd be our golden Valentines and that they
- 26:57were beginning a two thousand dollars ring from a cutting edge gallery of jewelry.
- 27:00Joanne about lost her mind, and Wayne said, oh, Wayne is rock
- 27:04solid. You know, Joeanne, she's a pistol. I think we're gonna
- 27:08there's gonna be some unpredictable stuff happening. But Wayne, I love it very
- 27:11solid, dude. In fact, we're gonna talk to him here right now.
- 27:14They're on the phone. Joanna, you there, Hello Wayne? Are
- 27:17you there? Oh? Okay, Well we haven't had a chance to really
- 27:19talk to Wayne. Wayne. How about this. Not only are you guys
- 27:23getting that ring that you get to put on her finger. I mean,
- 27:26when's the last time you put a ring on her finger? I wouldn't be
- 27:30able to tell you probably sixty two years ago. Well, you guys also
- 27:36get to renew your vows. We knew our wedding though. How sweet does
- 27:41that sound? We know a guy, Joanne and Wayne. I'm actually an
- 27:44ordained minister myself. So if you don't mind, I'd love to do the
- 27:47honors. Do I have to wear my wedding drip? Would you still have
- 27:51it? Yeah? I have it, but I don't. I don't Wayne
- 27:53much different than when we get married, but my shape's a little different.
- 27:57Oh well, okay, Well I'm gonna tell Yeah, if you can get
- 28:00back into that thing, I would love that. But if you guys want
- 28:03to dress up for the occasion, go for it. I mean, it's
- 28:07your special day. This is the real deal. I mean, this is
- 28:10officially renewing your vows after sixty two years. Who I think I'll wear something
- 28:15else because I have to probably duct tape the dress in the back or something.
- 28:21Well, if you don't mind, can I be your bridesmaid? That
- 28:23sounds great? Oh great, Aman is gonna be all taped up herself.
- 28:27Don't do it. Let me ask you. We're going to get to know
- 28:32you a lot more intimately, of course, but can you tell me,
- 28:33Joanne, like, how would you describe your marriage with Wayne? Well?
- 28:38My husband is one of these that I can never really get a straight answer
- 28:44out of him. He's always got a BS answer, and so then when
- 28:48I get a straight answer, I don't blame him. Wayne reminds me a
- 28:52little bit of myself. People. I don't know really when to take you
- 28:56seriously or not. I love it, Wayne, How do you feel about
- 28:57this whole situation? I feel like we're throwing a lot at you. Wow
- 29:03it our life, say and I am enjoying cruise vacations. We've got a
- 29:08nineteen of them so far, my cruise couple on our hands. Don't you
- 29:14love a good cruise Wayne, I do, Yes. I just want to
- 29:18squeeze you guys through the radio. I can't wait to see you tomorrow.
- 29:22Okay, we'll try to be wide awake. Ready, we'll have coffee for
- 29:26you. Well, thank you, guys. We'll talk to you tomorrow.
- 29:30Okay, bike it Amanda in the morning, Big Nutty eight point seven.
- 29:33Let's talk commercials, because, much to my surprise, every year people get
- 29:37excited for the advertisements on the program, Amanda, but then three hundred and
- 29:42sixty four days of the year we skip right through them. Can't stand him,
- 29:45but this one day. People go nuts over the paid advertisement, and
- 29:49it's the fact that they're spending so much money. It was seven million dollars
- 29:53a pop for thirty second commercials. I think the most surprising is everybody going
- 30:00Jesus has a budget. There was like two Jesus commercials Christ himself yep,
- 30:07which I know this is great. There was quite quite a few of what
- 30:08was the message from from old JC that is the message that that's just a
- 30:14message. I'm just going you need a little bit more in me in your
- 30:18life, folks. Interesting, but there was, I mean some good ones.
- 30:21Of course, the bar is like just a normal commercial that you don't
- 30:23care about. So they were better than that. I'll give them that.
- 30:26I didn't laugh out loud. There was one where I was like, okay,
- 30:30this one kind of got me. That Kawasaki they had, like the
- 30:33mullets, it was, I mean, they would be everybody turned into a
- 30:37ended up getting a mullet from the dog to whatever I thought that was.
- 30:41But you know, you like this one too. But you can't miss anytime
- 30:44you get Arnold Schwartzenegger involved. So it's just his voice. It's just funny.
- 30:48Thank you agents State Farm, like a good neighbor. State farm is
- 30:52thea Hey, Arnold, I'm hearing neba this what they said, neigba neighbor.
- 31:02This is so good, so good. And then they bring I think
- 31:04Danny DeVito in at the very end or whatever. It's like neighbor, neighbor,
- 31:07and he looks in like, that's what I've been saying, you back
- 31:11Stabo back saber U speaker that one, kind of making fun of his accent.
- 31:17But did you watch the one where America when you know, France gifts
- 31:21them with the Statue of Liberty and the Americans then need to like return the
- 31:25favor. So they're like, oh, now we got to get France a
- 31:26gift. No, but it was Yeah, it was funny because then they're
- 31:32like, oh, what what are they like? What are French people like?
- 31:33And the guy's like cheese. They they send a cheeseboard over a lot
- 31:40of people up in arms over Timu, but I think it's Tamu. Yeah.
- 31:45Yeah, people had no idea. Apparently they've been saying that wrong the
- 31:47whole time. Yeah, And I do have a question. I'm wondering how
- 31:51this all works, because when you started watching the Super Bowl, they had
- 31:53the commercials I like the one with Stiffler's Mom Too, or Jennifer Coolie Discover
- 32:00card and she like was acting like are you a robot? Anyway? So
- 32:04it was that, and there was like two or three other ones. So
- 32:07when they went into overtime, it's like they started over. So those were
- 32:10the same commercials. And I'm wondering do they have to pay for those or
- 32:15do you like check a box, Hey, if it goes into overtime,
- 32:17here's another seven million or is it like three point five mil? If you
- 32:21can play it again? How does that work? One thing? I know
- 32:22they're not going to be giving them out for free, that's for sure,
- 32:25but yeah, imagine if it was just luck of the draw. Like once
- 32:28they go it overtime, it's like, you know, hopey hitting replay.
- 32:31Did you like the Ben Affleck one with Jennifer Jennifer Lopez Ben Affleck rapping,
- 32:36I take a list, He's here, What a fuck generation Boston massacre down
- 32:51on the keys Plack coach got it. It's pretty ridiculous. It's fun.
- 32:55It's that one. It's so cheesy. It's so fun to see celebrities like
- 32:59that play along. Like Ben Affleck just totally game to do this ridiculous rap
- 33:04Jason Momoa for I believe it was. Yeah, the song streams need Homes
- 33:15and that film Life That's good. It was cute where they say that I
- 33:24go take your shirt off now, and we were like, yes, please.
- 33:29And then much like Arnold Swartzenegger's somebody that you just can't go wrong with
- 33:31simply because of his voice and the way he talks. Is Christopher Walking.
- 33:36It's the real deal, Aunt of Electric. It's the real deal, and
- 33:44they're just going around doing it. You ever done a Christopher Walking impression?
- 33:47No, I'm not good at it. I don't think you do yours?
- 33:50First? Well, the only the only one I know is this my brother
- 33:52always tells the story. But there he was introducing the Foo fighters on on
- 33:57I think it was Saturday Night Live a long time ago. Ladies and gentlemen
- 34:01who fight us, Ladies and gentlemen, The Foo fight us, Woo fight
- 34:07us. Nobody in the world says it like that except for him. And
- 34:10then also one of the og Super Bowl commercials in our lifetime anyway was the
- 34:14e Trade Babies going way back. But then they've evolved a little, you
- 34:17know, with AI and went on, it's a little easier to get these
- 34:20babies. I'd rather work on saving for retirement or college, since you like
- 34:28to get schooled. That's a pretty good burn, right gottam game, thanks
- 34:32for coming to our clinic. Pump the jam baby. They didn't have enough
- 34:37babies like I feel like they could have explored doing that more, you know,
- 34:39in that particular commercial or just in the game overall, in the game,
- 34:43overall, you think they ought to throw a baby out in the game,
- 34:45see what happens. No mean, as far as commercials, as kids
- 34:49always win, there wasn't a lot of that. And there's a lot of
- 34:52star studded celebrity content, of course, I get that to some degree.
- 34:57I mean, if you got three million and got a cute baby, you're
- 34:59gonna go guys, I think you're onto something. The game did get a
- 35:01little stale around the third quarter. Throw a baby in a quarterback and see
- 35:06that would be good. Like and Amanda in the morning on Big you know,
- 35:12while football was being played and the world was watching Amanda, something else
- 35:15amazing was happening that we didn't hear about. What a set of twins who
- 35:21at five years old, tragically lost their parents, were separated Amanda at five
- 35:25years old, two women sisters. Okay, eighty one years later, they've
- 35:30been reunited. How incredible is this? Their names are Maria and Andrea.
- 35:36Did they know about each other? Well, yeah, they're five years old,
- 35:37you know you yeah, memories and when you were five, right,
- 35:40so they I would think, But what took them so long to get reunited?
- 35:44You know, that's my big question, Amanda, But let's focus on
- 35:46the positive. First, God, they've reunited. Amazingly, they're both alive.
- 35:51I mean they're at eighty six years old, not to man jeans bike.
- 35:54Yes, it must be some good some levis. And so the cool
- 36:00thing is they've actually got some other siblings also still living. So they've all
- 36:04been reunited. But these twins, particularly eighty six years old, and now
- 36:07they plan to move next to each other to be neighbors and live out the
- 36:12rest of their lives together after go. But so that's my question. And
- 36:15nowhere in the story does it say because I get eighty one years ago,
- 36:21technology was not great. However, you've had plenty of opportunities since, right,
- 36:25I mean, it's very now, I don't want to say easy.
- 36:29And that's like a horrifying situation, So you lose your parents. Why were
- 36:32they separated? Yeah? Where did they go? It's not like they I
- 36:38mean, there should be some sort of form of communication. It's not like
- 36:44it's an icky situation where you're, hey, we can't tell these people that
- 36:47you have a twin or you know what I mean. But I watch a
- 36:51lot of Lifetime movies, so it's yeah, there's a lot of scenarios where
- 36:53you would like, yeah, in adoption situations where correct, yeah, you
- 36:57don't find out till you're older. But no, this is like they be
- 37:00very aware that they have siblings. And I have so many questions I would
- 37:04love to hear if they sit down for an interview. How far away did
- 37:07they live from each other for so long? Yeah, I mean at so
- 37:09many life stages. Did you not want to reach back out? You know?
- 37:14And that's what I wanted too. Did they just not care in which,
- 37:16of course it would take away from the story and I don't want that
- 37:19to happen. So or you know how twins always have like that weird connection.
- 37:22Yeah, they say they do. I don't believe it. It was
- 37:25like we just don't like each other, just feeling about her
