- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Could the bucks make a massive move this off season and bring in one of the best past wrestlers in football.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk Max Crosby, also John Grootin, pushing hard for Jason Light and the front office in Tampa to make this move.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to give our thoughts on it.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: How realistic actually is it?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: Max Crosby to the bucks also to Baker Mayfield just got a big time higher on his and with a quarterback's coach coming in that I think a lot of us here are very positive on a national champion coach who just helped when of highs men that trophy for Fernando men.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: And those, and also, too, we got to recap the Pro Bowl games.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: We saw last night Antoine Winfield, Jr. winning defensive MVP there, and of course to finish it off.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: We got to talk about this lightning game that was absolutely insanity and Raymond James Stadium.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of our listeners were there, or watching, but what a game, possibly the best NHL game.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: This year, if not for a very long while, by far right up there with one of the top outdoor games.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: held in the NHL.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: But wow, what a what a busy start to this week with me this morning is Caleb Skinner our writer at buckfinger.com and River Wells our lead editor here in Tampa, gentlemen.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Good morning.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: We've had a busy week so far.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: I must say yeah, it has been busy.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: There's been a few things going on throughout the football.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: We also have a Super Bowl coming right up here on Sunday.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: So once that ends, we're fully in the Aussies and maybe so we're going to grind it out, talk about the convo and talk about it for you into the first few other things talked about today is the books continue to fill out their staff, there's a big hire that we're talking about today and then there's also a few more defensive staff, there's that need to be put in place the books, but they really start getting going on a lot of the other Aussies and stuff.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, things are going to start picking up here pretty heavy in the off season.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: Once Super Bowl gets on their way super excited for it.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: Gonna make some white chicken chili up here in the northeast, get nice and then warm and coesed up for that one.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be honest.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't watch the Pro Bowl at all last night.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: Um, kind of.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: It was late, man.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: It was lost.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's luster with me, man.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: I just can't do it anymore.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's not.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's just fun.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: as it was with us millennials growing up, but awesome, awesome game, awesome to see bigger make field trips and works lead out the the Tampa Bay Lightning there in Raymond James Stadium in the in the in the cream sickle uniforms, so excited to talk about that one hell of a matchup, but a lot of sports going on and more to come.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, now I'm right there with you.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: Skinner.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: I did not really watch much of the pro ball game.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: I did not watch any.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: I just wasn't my bed and saw the highlights come out and just saw like a parsing, scooting around on the scooter there and then of course with Anton.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: They should have let the man play.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: They showed up a little bit.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let them in their man.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: They should have marched on lunch out there.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, no one's ever going to be able to replicate whatever.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was his back in Cal, but what?
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: He did on the scooter there or the cart just right around.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling people, I love my shot lunch, but yeah, not the same type of probals anymore.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: and this day in age, but let's talk about Max Crossey man, because that's why a lot of people are here.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: They want to have something to look forward to, or something just to even dream about.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Because it does feel like that is a dream, but there is some linkage here, of course, between the bucks and Max Crossey.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: So the reason we're bringing this up because John Green just recently went on the drive with T-Cras, a great show that they do here in Tampa,
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: and they had a long interview and you know John Green and brought up some things that he feels like this fucking year's organization needs to do this off season in order to take that next step and they he also mentioned the Green Bay Packers and what they did going after a guy like Micah Parsons who's one of the best and the league and can be an absolute game changer for you off the end and so
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: here's what he had to say and he said, yeah, I mean, if you're probably going to make a big play for Max, I think the buck and years didn't take a page out of the Green Bay Packers book.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: They went out and got Mike Parsons.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: Perhaps Jason Light can swing a deal to get a great russia.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's talking about Crosby here.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's the best player on the team.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's arguably the most impactful edge russia in football.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a winning edge that a great defense has.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's a fourth
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: things changed for us.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: He also mentioned two, you know, speaking, if you're on the raider side here, if you're the raiders, you're the dumbest franchise in America.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: If you let him out of there, he's under contract and he's the best player on the team, but you have to check the guys that are available.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: And that's talking about Jason lying the books and what could
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: be a big move for them, specifically here with Max Crosby and I'll let you guys speak on it further.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: But there are ties, of course, with Jason Light and the Raiders GM, a John Spytech, could there be something here with those two having a really strong relationship, Jason, sure, helping him push up and get him that GM job with the Raiders, maybe just help one another out here, potentially.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think there are a few things to consider here when we talk about Max Crosby, the first is whether or not Jason Light would be down for a huge blockbuster trade.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: He has done a lot of work in free agency in the Tom Brady era, right?
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: You would go and get anyone Brady wanted and let her fornet to end Tony O'Brand, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, you broke right, exactly how to hear that one.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: And it comes with blockbuster trades, not usually something he does, it doesn't like to give up too much capital, I believe.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Todd Bulls calls it robbing Peter to pay Paul, right?
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: But Krause is a great player, a fantastic pass, or after one of the biggest pressure generators the league has at that position.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: And if you're able to field an offer, you know, I think you'll make sense given that the bugs have a lot of problems developing their own ad dressing talent to look for the trade market and try and get one.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: The other big thing that I'll talk about is that Micah Parsons is 26 years old Max Krosby is 29 years old I believe so that that's a pretty big difference there.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: In football years, you're getting a little up there, which I see and sounds crazy to say about the one who's 29, but as far as, you know, the NFL goes, it's, it's how it goes.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: So that would be something to figure into whatever trade package you would want to put together for a guy like Max Crosby is age.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: his contract is fairly large.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: He's guaranteed about $90 million on his contract.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_02]: He signed it in 2025.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: He's played one year on it.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_02]: So he still has a lot of guaranteed money left to go and that's another thing that books had to consider when ring him on.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_02]: So the interesting because we thought the the Parsons trade wasn't huge.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think for the player that the factory's got.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_02]: So when it comes to
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: would be interesting to see what type of package that the books would put together or what the Raiders would be getting in all for a surprise.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: So, of course, here you guys thoughts on that.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's definitely, you know, you want to go get one of these guys, um, obviously due to the fact that you can't develop as you mentioned, a river, right, the young guys that you get on the other via the draft or whatever it may be, they have not worked out obviously we saw, um, last year was a toned redic that didn't work out.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: So you need an elite pass rusher to kind of take the edge off a little bit there, um, from y'all y'all, the, I'll be trying to do as much as he possibly can on the opposite side.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: And Max would fit that mold raised in the past rusher EA's 29 years old, but he's shown that he can still do it.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: Despite tech, you know, connection with Jason Light is huge.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: Now whether or not those two are going to work together to take away one of the best players, or probably the best player on the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if that's a possibility.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: Max is clearly upset with how things have gone over there in Vegas, so he could demand a trade.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: you know, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to happen.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: That being said, you also have to remember that Crosby did just have surgery on his knee after, you know, suffering an injury there at the end of last season.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: So he will be coming off of that.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: I highly doubt it's going to affect him too much.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was shooting basketballs.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: That is, you know, home gym off one leg before the surgery even happened.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: So guys, a player, guys going to come in, give a motor, 24, seven, obviously.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: You saw him do that in Vegas on a team that didn't win and this would just elevate that defense even more and give give you one of those elite pass rushers that will give you know your your corner backs in your secondary shorter amount of time that they're being asked to cover back there and which could lead to interceptions lead to turnovers so on and so first or be a huge get Now how realistic I'm not sure we do know that Jason as mentioned by river does not like to necessarily go out there and pull off a huge blockbuster trade such as this but
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: Um, if you were to, this is a type of guy you want to be able to go get.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's going to probably take a first, a second to maybe maybe a player, some draft capital later, um, and later drafts on top of that, maybe some, you know, fifth rounders thrown in there as well, but it would take a pretty good haul to get a, a caliber of player as Max Crosby into Tampa Bay, but there's other guys out there that you could possibly get cheaper on the trade market.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: they're in green bay, but you know, you can kind of look at guys such as that maybe even an order veteran, even over the Max Crossbie with what's his name up there in Cincinnati, being able to make a move for Andrewx and Andrewx and so we'll see you've got to go get a veteran guy who is able to produce.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: You don't just go get a veteran who doesn't produce, you've got to get a guy produces.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: You can also do that in the draft, but we'll see what direction they went ahead.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: I love
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: idea of going and swinging big in the semi on rice comparison is huge.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you think about the contract that semi on Gottwin.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: He first got the Tampa.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't even near what he, you know, was deserved to be paid for his production at that time in football and his career.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: obviously Max is under contract already, so you don't have to worry about that.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it would be huge.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: It would be a huge, huge get for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that they're able to.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'll relistic, not sure, but if we're hearing, you know, rumblings, there's at least some sort of going on behind the scenes or, you know, under the foundation here that they're calling possibly reaching out for his availability.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see how it unfolds, you know, as the
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Max loves Vegas.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: He loves being there.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's a big raiders guy.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: He loves that fan base a whole ton, but he is irritated
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's had enough of this and now you're hitting another reset there and now, you know, it's expected for a client cubiac to be the next head coach there.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: They see how to offensive coordinator who's going to be competing for a super ball this upcoming Sunday and, you know, you just got to wonder.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they're likely going to go here with Fernando Mendoza as the first overall pick expected be that way and certainly that matches up well with cubiac.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: If you're max-crossed, but you feel optimistic that things can head in the right direction offensively for you, but they still have a lot of work to do.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to be relying on a rookie quarterback to come in and...
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: change everything for you.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have to make major moves this off season for the agency, but also to in the NFL, because that offense has a lot of work to be done with it on the defensive side.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: They lost their offensive coordinator Max, probably lost his defensive coordinator.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's coming to the Steelers.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's a lot of moving parts happening with the Raiders right now.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I just don't know if saying, hey, Fernando Mendoza's coming in.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: Everything's going to change.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: First I don't think he's that he's a solid very solid quarterback just one the highs been everything great But I just don't know that it's gonna be a long while before the Raiders can get back on track It's gonna take about three or four years It's just not gonna be just we've been saying that for 20.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I just wonder if Max really, if he wants a Super Bowl and that's the biggest thing.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, he can just write it out with the Raiders and be a high-performing player and be one of the best in the league.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: But do you want a Super Bowl and who knows if Tampa even gives you that opportunity with Todd Bowles these last two seasons with the defense deteriorating?
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, does he need a pass, Rester, though?
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: He does need a pass, Rester, and that's what would be a big fix for defense for Todd Bowles' defense, Caleb.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I also think too like Max Crosby's a personality and this defense lacks any personality across the board.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's nobody who's really going to speak up demand something obviously Levantai David kind of one of those guys, but as he's gotten older, he's kind of love and post game.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_02]: So we've got to get Jason Peer call back for your right.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like that.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Get you a guy like a JPP who's going to mouth off.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Who's going to fire his guys up by telling them how, you know, effing trash they are pulling on the field or whatever it may need to happen to be.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: This is the type of player that you need on that defense.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's an outspoken individual.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's not afraid to speak his mind as we saw.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: with him getting in in former Tampa Bay Buccaneers line back to Devin White's face during this passage because of how worse he was playing and allowing, you know, gap plays after gas plays and, you know, touchdowns galore on the on the Raiders defense and he had no problem doing that.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the type of guy that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need on this defense.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's for sure.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there are a few options you can go across.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_02]: We would be a pretty big splash trade.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think you'd have to give it a lot of capital for them.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, the production is there and proven.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, there's some other people you could look at.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_02]: You mentioned Tray, Anderson's in free agency.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Logan, you'll know the name Nick Harvick, over there in Pittsburgh is kind of the bell of the ball when it comes to trade candidates for a drop or so.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: There are a lot of
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: sort of places you could look, but regardless of whether it's crossbears, somebody else.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: I do think I kind of agree that the book's probably need to go get a veteran and drusher.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: He could be productive and that would be nice, but you know, the found shack bearer, because shack bearer was behind Bond Miller and they brought him to Tampa Bay and he immediately
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: but lit it up with the franchise sack record.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_02]: So the guys like that, I just mentioned her big, find one of those people that aren't playing as many snaps.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's perhaps they should, and you could do something there.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: But I think the idea, I was a good second eddrosser.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: That could really do well with a great eddrosser alongside of him.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: And if they're able to fix that problem with their past rush,
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: Everything else kind of falls right in the place.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's the most important thing you can have as a team outside of a great quarterback.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: So if you can't develop one, you got to bring one in.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that's what they were trying to do with a son right at this last year, and it just completely fell on its face.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't really work out.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: that just couldn't stay healthy, reticons stay healthy.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: Everything looked great and training camp and such, and the mentality was there, and you know, things we were hearing throughout the locker room, we're heading right direction, but just when it came down to Sundays, it just wasn't working in that favor.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: And like you said, for y'all y'all, do y'all, he needs someone out there that's pure.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: pure past rush that can get back there and allow for him to do what he needs to do just helps both sides when you have a high caliber of this town like a cross becoming him but there are other potential I mean the crossbies at the top tier right there like a tray Hendrix and in such.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: But it is going to be really intriguing to see what Jason light is able to do because he does have that very very close relationship with spy tech those two are very close He I'm pretty sure he's called like spy tech someone that he could just leave for a while don't have to really babysit him and he took care of helping find some of those big-time drafts like a Tristan worse When field junior even yeah, I Diabi like
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Spitex did a lot of good work for the bucket years and probably one of the big reasons why Tom Brady decided to come as well as his relationship with Spitex.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that is true.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: That is very true.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: And now I did find on here too.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: I looked it up earlier.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: Spitex did not give a full on yes if Max Crosby is untouchable.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: So this was back on January 5th when asked about it.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: He all he said was he embodies what a rater is Yeah, no full yes on a few is untouchable and that was just last month almost on the dot So that's some pretty interesting things there, but maybe the relationship between Jason and Spide Tech there could be something Worked out here, you know that some of these trades they take months and months and months to put together Bye
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what Jason and Spy take, they know each other very, very well.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: That could speed up that process as well.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: Something to monitor, but it won't be discussing a whole lot more to some targets that the bucks will likely be going after or keeping the close eye.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_02]: They need a lot of help on the defense.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: they need a lot of help.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like we felt that way going into the season last year.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: Certainly a lineback.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: We did.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't have to speak on it a whole ton when they brought in Hassan Reddick but we immediately moved okay our eyes went to the second level and that was at the linebacker position because you knew what Levantay David was two years prior and you know it's just
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: The age starts catching up there and, you know, it just wasn't, whoa, you need more help there.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: You need more help and I just don't think that was the case.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: And they try to make some small moves throughout the off season in that regard, but just wasn't good enough.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, you just a cap kind of this talk off and everything, I mean, you look at the linebacker level, Devon Lloyd has been a very much floated about name as a target in free agency at that linebacker level for the type of a book and years, which he's been fantastic, you know, kind of up and down career in Jacksonville, his rookie.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: fantastic and in this past year was absolutely fantastic but there's two I think two years in between that he kind of had down years but they've gotten the most out of him in Jacksonville would fit in as an all you know three down linebacker here in Tampa Bay even if Levantay David decides to retire or if he doesn't decide to retire he would fit in very well into this defense and then I see a bunch of comments in here from everybody tuning in we do appreciate you guys for doing that um
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Mesodor or Bane from Miami when you're looking for two guys very productive at the University of Miami making it all the way to the national championship, I'd only more measured or if I were, you know, Jason Lyon company and who I'm taking, but are either of those two guys going to be around when you're picking at, you know, 15 not quite sure and then again, you get back into that developmental phase.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: So interesting, there's a bunch of different ways that the book and years can go and then there's other edge Rutgers and other linebackers that they could target at that 15th overall pick as well.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: which it's a great year if you're going to go get a linebacker in NFL draft.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of interesting things, a lot of attention is going to be paid towards this this ed rushing position in linebacker for the bucks for sure.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_02]: Linebacker is simply not a luxury position to use a first-round pegon, but my goodness does this team need one.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what the philosophy is there, but with Levantay David potentially retiring,
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: And quite frankly, guys, even if he doesn't retire, it would be nice to have another one.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: And then, Sebastian is not quite playing the standard last year.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a really bad way, I think, with that live-backer road.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: And it's also, I think, arguably more vital in Tom Bowls is specific defense than maybe it is elsewhere with how much they're asked to do
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: Um, playing that sort of highly coverage based scheme in a three four.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what ends up happening there, but they've really got to fix that and they got to fix the past rush.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: So two huge areas.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: They have to Fix when it comes to the defense and they're going to have to figure out how they have to allocate their resources and balance them in order to do both of those things.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: This is awesome.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: 100% yeah linebacker is going to be a big focus here and I know we're all keeping an eye on Levantay David and his decision is going to be and he's been doing interviews already and you know said that his injuries that he was dealing with last year didn't help and training his knee on a consistent basis.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: Lacked and didn't help his play as much, but at some point the bucks need to do what's best for them.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I know that they've said that it's open to open door, you want to come back, we can do that.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: But that door can stay open for sure, but the bucks still need to reload there at the linebacker position.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: I get to a point where yes, this is great.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: This is great.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: We love you.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: Want to have an incredible career.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: We've got to get some younger guys in here.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: And we've got to have better play.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: And if Todd Bowles is willing to just keep riding that and not make that a big focus, the soft season, they're in trouble.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're in big trouble and you won't see Todd Bowles as the head coach with Buck and Ears in 2027.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: Nor maybe the middle part of the half seat.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: Half part of the season.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: Be honest with you.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: The fan base is not too fond of him coming back for another year.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, glaciers have never fired a coach and see them by guessing their time to everything.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, they won't be too much of a fan whenever the entire Steelers fan base takes a Raymond James stadium next year and no bucks pants are in the stadium.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: That was going to happen anyway, Logan.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: That is true.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: That is true.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: That at least.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: Unless it's a lightning game, which we're going to talk about.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: Lightning, I need is a hockey game.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: Then everybody is in Raymond James stadium.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: and $30,000 a day this one said.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: Just win, baby.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I got to do.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: So I got to do.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: All right, here we go.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_00]: The box did make a big higher here.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: And this is one that we were monitoring since really last week.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'd say there was some interest between Chandler Whitmer, the Indiana quarterbacks coach with them who coached Fernando Mendoza becoming Baker Mayfields and the Buck and Ears quarterbacks coach down here.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: in Tampa and sure enough after some talks and some meetings and interviews, he is now going to be right there with Baker trying to turn some things around and become, you know, they're next big coach, maybe, I mean, a lot of people that have seen a lot of media talk about him and such, he's a highly touted guy and highly respected across both the collegiate level and
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: level.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, as we know, I mean, they just went 60 and 0 with Indiana for anandum and does a had a phenomenal year overall from how unexpected to be the number one overall pick to.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: But just going back and real quick listing out a few quarterbacks that he's actually worked with CJ Straud Trevor Lawrence at Clemson.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_00]: Justin Herbert over there with the Chargers, Michael Panics Jr., with the Falcons, with Zach Robinson, that's where those ties align with one another last year.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then of course, I got just mentioned there with Fernando Mendoza.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: I bring it to you guys.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: How big of a higher is this for a guy like Baker, because I've been predicating really heavily that Baker needs a guy that's specifically a quarterbacks coach that can help him on a week-to-week basis when we're in the season, but he's one that I think can continue to develop,
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: and improve his play.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: This just seems like a really good fit for a guy like Baker and what this offense is going to want to do mutually with Zach Robinson.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, if you look at Whitman's resume, it's actually kind of crazy how fast he's risen the NFL ranks.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_02]: He was at Gale in 2018.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: I've stayed in 2019, Clemson 2020 as a graduate assistant for three years.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_02]: Immediately gets promoted to the Chargers offensive quality control coach from there, 2021, and then he's the Pascal's specialist in Atlanta in 2024.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: He gets to be the quarterback's coach in Cocoa, offensive coordinator in Indiana last year, now he's a Tampa Bay.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: So definitely a really fast riser and
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think his connection to Zach Robinson certainly brought him to Tampa Bay to report to a lot of other NFL teams were inquiring about his services, but he chose the books make sense given that he worked for Zach Robinson in 2024 and had a good working relationship.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: So, definitely good news and
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: Take your mayfields play some pretty good football of the past three years and at certain points and then sometimes a different version of him kind of comes out that we saw that the back half of last year with a brutal drop off so It might be good to just get another face in the building and kind of switch things up.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think that was overall it a pretty good job, but sometimes you just got to shake it up a little bit and perhaps that's what Whitmer will do what they can make field and after developing a guy friend of Andosa.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: You guys often end up in dosa when he was at Cal, and that's a game that as you won a studio is a go.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: What a time to be alive.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_02]: Right, taking them from there, taking them from there.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_02]: You probably didn't watch that game, thinking he would be a hires and trophy winner the next year.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: But that's what a guy like Whitmer was able to do with him in Indiana with the rest of that phenomenal staff that Indiana football team is probably one of the best college football teams I've ever seen hit the field.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_02]: Kudos to them and what he was able to do with random and does it and hopefully that same magic come over bigger may feel.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: We will see how they like working with each other, how they jell, but overall pretty good high, I think.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, shout outs at that Lewis for everything that he was able to do here for some foremost, you know, that was, you know, one of those guys that was kind of a staple within the coaching staff and seen him go is, you know, unfortunate, but, you know, time for changes as River mentioned and I think it's going to be great.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_01]: you know for Baker Mayfield it's going to be I mean you looked at the quarterbacks he's already worked with fast riser young guy you know when that tweet right there from Tommy P talking about he had multiple enough offers offers but decided you know he he chose Tampa so that's a great sign for some foremost is that he decided to come here to work with Baker Mayfield work with Zach Robinson again and then his pedigree and the quarterbacks that he's coached is pretty solid you know
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: Trevor Lawrence has begun to take strides in his career just at Herbert, obviously, as well, working with Michael Penix before the end of injury and then Kurt Cousins too.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: So he's worked with the ton of quarterbacks and then you throw in Fernando Mendoza.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: Now you can question, you know, Fernando Mendoza was in RPO a lot at Indiana, and you know, that we'll see how that translates for him once he's drafted by the Vegas Raiders.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: But is that necessarily going to be a problem as he's moving over into the NFL not necessarily in my opinion I think you know his history of coaching in the NFL and coaching under Zach Robinson is going to kind of allow him to get away from that a little bit more.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: So it'll be interesting how he kind of fits in with Zach Robinson what their ideas are for this offense are we going to look at the pistol a little bit more are we going to kind of get away from it.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: But overall, I think it's a great hire, it's going to be great for Baker Mayfield, having two guys in there that he's comfortable with, that he's going to, you know, feel okay bringing up his opinions, his thoughts on things, and how they are unfolding on the field throughout the process of a game.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's a huge pickup for the buck and ears, as you mentioned in your tweet, Logan.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm excited to see it come together, excited to see what it was like in the off season, and John Sam.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: things that nature but yeah super stoked the offense is rounding out to be what we thought it was to start last season and let's just hope that that comes true this year.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: And you know River, you and I got to sit down with Zach Robinson and we discussed a lot of things and we talked about Baker and you know getting him back into that forum and that big season has best season in 2024.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: and then 2025 things fell apart.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, yes, the injuries were there, but I think it was more predicate on the offense in Grzard and some lack there of quarterback coaching.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think this should see a really solid jump and I think, you know, for Whitmer, you know, it's attractive to come coach, a guy like Baker.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, like, you know,
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: Tom's reporting here.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: There was a lot of NFL teams with some big interest here and this and this young coach and you know he decides to go and coach Baker Mayfield and I think that shows a lot to, you know, was Zach Robinson rejoining there with him and how positive, you know, Zach Robinson's telling Whitmer like this guys, you know,
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's all you need that offense is going to put up points.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to get down on the field down the field when drives and such like that's that's the good thing and but with Baker man.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean who wouldn't who wouldn't want to come and coach that guy with the energy that he plays with Fernando just recently spoke and called Whitmer the best position coach I've ever
- 29:19[SPEAKER_00]: been around talking about the physical part of the game along with to the mental approach to every game on Saturdays.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: So that says a lot about him as a coach coming in and I think this is a pretty big addition that Todd Bowles and you know this staff was able to go through and grab and shout out to the Zach Robinson here for getting it done.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it speaks to a lot to how people also view this organization as a whole, despite even a really down year where there's a lot of talk and rumors and who knows what going on in the locker room that a guy was able to choose your team because of how highly people have spoken about your team, spoken about your front office, spoken about the coaches that are in the building.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: So when you have a guy that deliberately has any option available to him,
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: That speaks, you know, worlds of how highly, you know, people are thinking about joining integrity back in years from roster all the way, you know, to the top with the glaciers.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: So that's just a great sign in my opinion.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a comment here on YouTube saying still nervous about Zach, his Atlanta press conference is sounded similar to his Tampa ones, can't he adapt or was Atlanta a crap show.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: So we've only gotten one presser from Zach, and I thought they had a great job there on that end and present him as well.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's been used to doing this anyways, but we've talked about it when we had our instant reaction to that presser and our side discussion with him that we had
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I thought that he did a good job on that river Caleb.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you could talk about it a little bit more on the Falcon side and yes, they did have some talent there, but also some really big injuries kind of on the same realm of what the bucks had to deal with certainly at the offensive line position this past season.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: And you're quarterback, you mean you lost Michael Pinnick's junior as well.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_02]: Right, the thing about this is that we don't know.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_02]: We have a lot of assumptions about Zach Robinson's time in Atlanta.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: saying Kirk Cousins was not mobile enough.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: So they had to put him in the pistol.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: Michael Panak's junior wasn't mobile enough.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't run a complicated system at Washington.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: So he had to be in the pistol.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: If you guys remember the gameness of doing on Patriots, and they started clapping on the line because that's the only way you can do a snap count.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: Those are all assumptions that Zach Robinson was hampered down by those things, and that when he comes to Tampa Bay,
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: He won't be hampered down by any of that and he'll be able to run the offense.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: He truly wanted to go all the time and that would be nice because he had some problems in Atlanta.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's also just kind of what some people are guessing and talking about and speculating about.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know exactly what his offense is going to look like until he starts to run in training camp and then into the season.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: So ideally, yes, he would want to mix up his play calling a little better, use different formations.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: He used the pistol formation.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: They league, higher rate.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_02]: and that kind of makes you predictable to a certain degree.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_02]: Short yardage situations wasn't great.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: Top 10 in Red Zone defense because they were never able to get to the Red Zone basically last year, which is why they were a bottom team in scoring.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: So he's got some work to do, but he runs a very similar system that what we've seen in Tampa Bay before and Baker may be able to definitely gel with that terminology, it'll be somewhere you can plug and play.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: And it's gonna be up to him to make the necessary changes.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm glad you took that route, River.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm more so looking at the comparison between the press conferences and everything.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll just remember, like this is a lot of coach speak that goes on in these press conferences.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's really what it is.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to say the right things that people want to hear.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: They're not going to say anything bad.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's pretty much the same thing when you go back to post game press conferences as well.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: And we used to harp on, you know, we hear the same thing on a bigger Mayfields mouth every single time.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: We hear the same thing out of top bowls, isn't it?
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: everything else.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: But that's part of it, right?
- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's they're giving the politically correct if you will answers during these, you know, moments where they're in front of the media or wherever it may be and behind the scenes, who knows what is going on.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: So it's probably going to look.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: different than it did in Atlanta.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: How much different not sure until we get out there and we see what's going on in training camp and things of that nature.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: So wait and see moment, but again, guys, these guys and the coaches at the press conferences players at the press conferences don't try and read too much into it unless you've got somebody just going off and they're just kind of over giving the same old same old answer, which is
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: few and far between here in Tampa Bay so um these guys that's just kind of how they talk um they're going to do that so who knows we'll see training camp will be there.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah he says here he's saying I mean I lived in Atlanta for eight years pretty delusional fanbase up there I want to believe boys so you're up there an anime territory my man you're hanging in there you're hanging in there but we appreciate you coming to hear commenting bring up some topics because there's
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: These are good questions, man.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: These are good questions to discuss and you know during the Aussie's February 4th, we are in dry season at the moment.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: We're getting ready to overreact to NFL Combine, which I'm going to do 20 times over because I love the Combine, but and I love the NFL drafts.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just like time to overreact everything.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's what makes us.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: little bit more entertaining this office isn't when it feels certainly dry but we do have a suitable coming up but I want to go through a couple quick hitters before we wrap up in two if you have any questions definitely about Max Crosby.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you have any of there or maybe some other free agents that you think you want us to discuss about them in the comments man that's why we're here but let's go through some quick hitters real quick let's talk about the probo game last night
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: So, I think in the view of a ton of a river, you were viewing all of it.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: I would imagine, I think you did.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, I did, I did watch it.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's fun to see the guy like.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_00]: What's the difference in, I mean, I was there in Orlando two years ago, and you know, I got that.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: Speak with Baker and Tristan.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_00]: That was the best part for us, at least covering it.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: But the actual product, I regret traveling the next day to Orlando to watch it in person.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_00]: That was rough, stuff.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they're fine around out there.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you're talking about it.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's fun, you know, they have fun.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a kind of joy in watching people get way too competitive about life level.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: And that's kind of what ends up happening.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, Mike, a person's trying to come in at one point on his, his, his like, I guess what we could call it.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: Not wheelchair, again, like splinter scooter, kind of.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: And they're upset now.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: So boo.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: No, until I'm filled Junior now, the pretty crucial thing to help the NSC win their fly football game was awarded the defensive MVP of that game.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: So take away Tweet is getting it done in San Francisco.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: So something he didn't do a whole lot of this year.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: So that's true.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_02]: And they'll figure out kind of maybe get him closer to the football as opposed to baby sitting as top goals lovingly called it midway through the year.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he had a great time, which is cool, and it's definitely not required doing, but it's kind of cool sometimes to see all these players kind of in a more human element and more relaxed element playing football.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, congrats to Tweez for winning MVP, picking off Joe Burrow, congrats on whoever participated in the Pro Bowl, all of one book near had, you know, his name mentioned on the, on the night and you kind of could see, you know, I mean, it's on Tuesday night now, like I didn't even know they had moved it from like a Saturday or, you know, the Sunday before the Super Bowl onto a weekday.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, that should just tell you enough.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: about what's going on there with a provol.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see with guys like Shader Sanders getting into the provol if this is something that's going to be you know.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the most I heard about the provol was Shader Sanders and I'm not happy that he was making it.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'll eat through a pick.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, there you go, thank you guys.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: All right, guys, we do have a ton of question, which is great.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: This is awesome.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: You guys are interacting with us.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: We appreciate it.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: So let's start going through some of these real quick before we wrap up this show.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll talk about that lightning game, which was phenomenal.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_00]: But here we go.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: This is from obtuse angled here on YouTube asking, what do you guys think about adding Kyle pits?
- 37:41[SPEAKER_00]: the Falcon Stark tied in.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: He was just with Zach Robinson at this last year.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all spots on on this one will call pitch because there is a conversation about tight in right now for the buck and years.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I don't know as a pure tight-end one for me.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: Just to pin out what an offense wants to do and offensive coordinator, but they could certainly use some help there in my opinion.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_02]: the bucks need a lot of help everywhere.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: So if you want to devote free sources toward Cal pit, it's just laying up to think about.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, if you're going to go the free agent route, absolutely, it makes a ton of sense.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, Cade is a free agent in and of himself.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of had his lapses this past year, but has always been a reliable target for Baker Mayfield.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: No matter what, I mean, I had a couple of turvers this year that were pretty bad and a couple of miss blocks that were ended up in sacks that were pretty bad.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you could probably bring Kate back on a pretty cheap deal to remain in Tampa as the thing when it comes down to the tide and position.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Kyle fits.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: We make a ton of sense of it.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: He had his best season other than his rookie year in 2025 with it with Zach Robinson as the OC and would be would be a solid pass catching guy.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: Not sure how he is blocking.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: Probably pretty average if I had to guess it's easy so many times out there running routes for Atlanta.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: Are you going to be able to pull him away and not have them, you know.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_01]: be able to pay him more money than it land is.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_01]: I highly doubt that you're going to want to even do that.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't really think it will happen, but it would be, you know, a solid pick up there.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: You could also look towards a trade market for a guy like a TJ Hawkinson from Minnesota who's kind of seen his production decline and it's very similar to what K-Dot and has been able to put up the past couple of years of Tampa.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's dealt with injury issues of his own and hasn't really bounced back from his proble days in Detroit with the Lions, but
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: There's a couple of options out there.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Titan is necessarily a premium position in this offense.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think they can look towards their wide receivers when it comes to Robinson and how he's going to scheme things up.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: But you're going to want at least an average guy, but I think your best bet is probably just to keep on see what he's able to do in this offense.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you don't want to move on from that after the next year or two or however long you're able to get in here for a contract, get him in for a contract.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it'll be interesting, but I wouldn't be mad about Kyle Pitz being in a buckshoot
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: it's a pretty stacked I'm looking at it right now to stack tight end free agent market right here so of course you know that travel travel scale sees at the top there but you got in joku Dallas got her with Philly hey taste some hill why not why not you got Tyler Higby from the Rams we're just talking about cow pets should even Darren Waller down there who out of nowhere just
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: He actually played well though.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm telling you, Darren Waller was an absolute stud.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_00]: I would say that he was the best target outside of Waddle.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he was an absolute beast for the dolphins.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: He just exploded out of nowhere for them, but he still got it.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_00]: What is his aid?
- 40:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, 33.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's getting up there for sure.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's some older guys in here.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: your youngest one, though, at David and Joe Koo, that 29 years old, but has market values pretty high.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's an interesting tight-end room and then that's that tight-end free agent market or like you just said, make a potential trade, all that kind of stuff, like there could be something there for the box.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: this is a question here asking, do you guys see what Steven A. Smith said about Penex, more and more is coming out of his bad knees and past injuries?
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: So, I think a lot of that's been kind of covered.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: I have that said.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the trade secret necessarily.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: He's at a lot of injuries to his ACLs, to his shoulders.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: He suffered a lot of season and injuries over the course of his career and he came and believed they'd be up and now he's even more so.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: So they're going to do something about that.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and you know, we'll see with that it's kind of what it is.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have much more to say on it and it's bound on it than River had to say it's you know is what it is that's you know kind of what he's been doing with his whole entire career.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you've got the wheelchair photo of both knees wrapped up, that's been passed around social media in the internet for years now since his time back in college.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: That is what it is when it's Michael Pentex.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see if he's able to bounce back there for Atlanta, but they've got a huge, huge quarterback problem going on over there.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: They do.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: We've got another one here from T-Town 813 asking, so what do the Raiders want for Max Crosby?
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: A1 at 15 and player, what package do they exactly want?
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'll probably take a little more than that.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_02]: Probably a first and a second if I had to guess Parsons went for two first and Kenny Clark of course Parsons is 26.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_02]: Probably is 29.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: Probably is still a very productive.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_02]: So it would definitely take at least the first round picked to get done.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: Probably a second as well and then maybe something else being on how soon did they are.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_02]: So it would cost a lot.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'll go back to what I said earlier.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to say, you know, first and second and then maybe a fifth rounder, maybe even, you know, you go first, first, third, Chris Godwin.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_01]: I know a lot of people talking to your friends are going to love to hear that, but you might have to include a player here and why the secret is one of your most expendable, you know, units on this team that you can kind of move some guys if you, if you have to.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: So that's kind of what you're looking at first, second, and maybe a fit that were like a first and a third and a player such as Chris Godwin.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, look, they can just have Braswell.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_00]: How about that?
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty good.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if they're going to swing for that one.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think there's very much value.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: Not very much.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_02]: You never know.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_02]: You never know.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, you never know.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they see something.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the Raider sees something in Braswell that we're not seeing.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, here's the obts who's asking another question here on YouTube.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: Is Dean automatically gone in free agency?
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: If so, could you guys see a cornerback taken in round one?
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: It is to my understanding that Jamaal Dean really likes it in Tampa Bay.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_02]: So moving away would be kind of a pain that it always is and that would factor into that decision.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: He did take a pay cut this off season.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: He did play himself out of it.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_02]: He played very well.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_02]: And that rose his monetary value quite a bit.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: Still had that injury problem that he had showcased the entire time.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's been in Tampa Bay.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: And with that in mind, they're going to decide whether or not they want to do that, whether they want to pay a premium value to keep him.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_02]: So I thought he played very well with his injury status is still a huge question and it still caused problems.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: So some decisions to make, I think it's definitely a possibility that he
- 44:49[SPEAKER_01]: uh... he did play himself out of a just smaller deal i think this year he played a little too well for the pay cut he took yeah he obviously wants to be here i'll see probably when i've taken that you know pay cut in the middle of the season like he did and then again play himself out of it and he's gonna be warranted you know a bit more money this offseason
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: depending on what kind of restructures the book and yours do yeah you could definitely see Dean being back in the red and pewter but you could also see him headed elsewhere if you remember a couple years ago they decided to stick with Dean over Carlton Davis who is not in his second Super Bowl so you know from some of those things happen as well
- 45:26[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, where you kind of could have taken a guess at the wrong guy, but Dean's played extremely well ever since that anyway, so it's not necessarily on those two guys or one or the other.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_01]: But if Dean does go, yeah, you could absolutely see the bugs take a corner and round one kind of keep that cohesiveness going with getting younger in the secondary Xiamal column still young guy just signed his first contract after his rookie.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_01]: You can build off of, you know, the Benjamin Morrison pick as well as the Jacob Parish pick just a year removed from them.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: Grab another young guy here in the first round a guy I wrote about recently over on bugsgamedate.com is Brandon C. say a guy that played cornerback at South Carolina I believe in him before that maybe at Louisville or in C state, but kind of one of those lengthy lockdown corners who played very aggressive ball guys.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: see say is more of a guy is better in man, but he can also play in, you know, kind of his own system with Todd Bowles and be able to tackle that sort of fashion.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: So you guys haven't read that go check it out on bucks gameday.com, got a little piece up on him as well as another second round mock pick, which is a linebacker that you guys would thoroughly enjoy.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to say, over under on Carlton Davis getting injured in the circle.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's been very close to this year.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's been up and down.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's been up and down.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_00]: I've had to sadly watch a lot of Patriots games, just because I thought my Steelers would make a run.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, maybe in our dreams.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_00]: But Carlton still goes down quite a bit.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_00]: He'll come back in games, though, which is good.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_00]: But Jamal, I thought, had a good season.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_00]: And he dealt with a little bit of the season this year.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: But he made a focus.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_00]: He was telling us in training camp.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_00]: He has to be healthy.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's something bulls told him.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: You have to stay healthy.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and he did that for the most part.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_00]: So, uh, real quick, though, before we wrap this up, and I know y'all checked it out.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure a lot of our listeners did, but that lightning game and Raymond James stadium against the Bruins.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_00]: I somehow, like, within, like, the last 16 hours of somehow got into that stadium with a ticket, and it was an absolute insane experience.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: And, like, I've never seen Raymond James that.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: sold out except for driving by a Taylor Swift concert there and being that's I can't drive anywhere I could barely get around that say him but it was slammed with lightning fans and to the bro and traveled well for the most part but heavy heavy lightning bolt fans and it was crazy to tell getting experience and then just getting in there and just seeing a hockey rink down there and it actually being the ice down there and then seeing the team roll
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: come in with the creamsicle uniforms and Tristan Wolves having the speaker system going in the 8th field, amping up everybody and then pre-game and I'm sure just an overall incredible experience, just an atmosphere but then when you go into the game itself like you score within 11 seconds you're like what the heck is going on man vaulting is going to route these guys and then out of nowhere you go down 5 to 1 and
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: and you have a franchise record of your biggest come back with a win.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody can win in those cranescleria uniforms.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't want to know.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that breaks the curse.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_00]: I was just thinking on that.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: Did that break the curse, the creamsicle curse?
- 48:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I did.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_00]: Had to make him bow down, make him look at it.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_02]: Bring him stuff, make him look at it.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: Bring him stuff, make him look at it.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_01]: It was so funny.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: Watched those hockey players dressed up at those things and so in this video, in the full uniforms, they're more fit than big.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: They're more fit than big.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: Outside of like, Victor Hadman and like,
- 48:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if that's a lexki like everybody else just look like kickers and punters Yeah, Logan you being there.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably an awesome experience.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: I moved at the wrong time Yeah, up to the northeast to go ahead and miss that 30 90 degrees that pop drop is just crazy in Tampa, but
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: for as good as the experience was for you know you guys down there watching it at home was just as thrilling man it was fantastic that the atrics that were going on before the game with you know the the plundering pirates and just a crazy things that were just happening all over the place in the map that was you know around
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: around the ring.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: The guy has been walked in by Baker Mayfield and Tristan worse and them to hang an out.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_01]: You got him a girl there saying, you know, I just love to watch you know, these guys beat the absolute shit out of each other and you know, everything was just awesome from that standpoint.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_01]: And it was the most viewed NHL game this season.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: obviously hockey is growing in the state of Florida and the the relationship between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is undefeated so awesome to see those two work you know hand in hand with one another to be able to get this done but you know hopefully that happens again and I'll be able to make my way down there for it.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was it was this real experience and then seeing vaz go in a golly fight.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: You get a golly fight Surrounded with 60 plus thousand people like come on dog like the crowd pop on that was awesome On top of it was a crowd pop a WWE yeah, like a WWE match pop like that's that was just how it was and then they have the shootout at the very Ann and vaz making the block there to win it.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_00]: I mean it's a great day to walk
- 50:35[SPEAKER_00]: you can you can ask for anything better and that that front office the organization from from the lightning they just know how to do it man they know how to please their fans and you know amulet arena sells out what are they like on a 450th street game or whatever it is I don't know it's like insane because I was just there on Thursday night you know it's like I will not go into the outdoor game that is
- 50:56[SPEAKER_00]: as a pricey ticket, but I'll go to Thursday night, the $35.00 on and it was slammed there.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: It was sold out, but you also have Gasby weekend, of course, so that helped mesh in everything.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: It was just a really fun weekend down here, even with the cold, you know, the Temby bucks, fans, lightning fans, everybody involved the raise fans.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I've got a big raise season coming up here, back down the road here in St. Pete.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_00]: at the trop.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, some good times in Tampa, but yeah, maybe what could cap it off is a max cross be trade to the buck and ears.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think I think that I think there's jerseys would fly off the roof.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: Just don't get him from fanatic because they're going to be made like $10 or so.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: I do that.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'll do that.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but that's going to do it for us.
