Mega Edition: Did Jamie Dimon Know Who And What Epstein Was? (10/28/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 0:04
Speaker 1: For as long as we can remember, all we've heard
• 0:07
Speaker 1: from Jamie Dimon is that he never discussed what Epstein
• 0:11
Speaker 1: was up to, what Epstein was doing, or that Epstein
• 0:15
Speaker 1: was even a client at the bank. Now, though, in
• 0:18
Speaker 1: court documents, we're hearing from Jeff Staley, and I know
• 0:22
Speaker 1: this is going to be a shocker to you, has
• 0:24
Speaker 1: said that Jamie Dimon did in fact know about Jeffrey
• 0:28
Speaker 1: Epstein and and the fact that Epstein was a no-good
• 0:31
Speaker 1: son of a bitch.
• 0:32
Speaker 2: And for all of these years, J.P.
• 0:34
Speaker 1: Morgan, Jamie Dimon, Jez Staley, Leon Black, all of the
• 0:39
Speaker 1: rest of them have been able to get away with
• 0:41
Speaker 1: this nonsense because nobody called them out on it.
• 0:45
Speaker 2: However, now, the U.S.
• 0:46
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands, as they search for that bag again, well,
• 0:50
Speaker 1: they have no qualms calling them out, even though they're
• 0:53
Speaker 1: exposing their own hypocrisy. It's also revealing a lot of
• 0:57
Speaker 1: things that we already knew. And it's also confirming a
• 1:01
Speaker 1: lot of things that we already knew. And one of
• 1:04
Speaker 1: those things is this, that JP Morgan played a critical
• 1:08
Speaker 1: role in what Jeffrey Epstein was up to. And that
• 1:11
Speaker 1: Jamie Dimon and all of the other executives, they were
• 1:15
Speaker 1: on board. And as long as those checks were cashed
• 1:18
Speaker 1: and that envelope wasn't coming in light, everything was all good.
• 1:23
Speaker 1: But now when the spotlight turns to them, Look how
• 1:26
Speaker 1: quick everybody is to point their finger at somebody else.
• 1:30
Speaker 1: Nobody wants to take responsibility. Nobody wants to step up
• 1:33
Speaker 1: and say, look, I could have stopped this. And that's
• 1:36
Speaker 1: because they were all complicit. If there was a good
• 1:39
Speaker 1: guy amongst them or a good woman amongst them, then
• 1:42
Speaker 1: somebody would have stepped up behind the scenes, whatever, and
• 1:45
Speaker 1: been a whistleblower. And nothing like that ever occurred. Not
• 1:48
Speaker 1: one of these executives who got these emails ever lifted
• 1:52
Speaker 1: a finger or to call anybody, to try and stop
• 1:55
Speaker 1: Epstein from doing what he was doing, to alert anybody
• 1:58
Speaker 1: that he's engaged in all kinds of financial malfeasance. They
• 2:02
Speaker 1: just let him do whatever he wanted to do for
• 2:05
Speaker 1: all of these years. And for Jamie Dimon to act
• 2:08
Speaker 1: like he had no idea, I always said that was
• 2:10
Speaker 1: a bunch of absolute bullshit. In any bureaucracy or corporation,
• 2:16
Speaker 1: big decisions aren't made by middle managers. The only people
• 2:19
Speaker 1: who don't know that are people who have never worked
• 2:22
Speaker 1: in corporate America. For those of us who have been
• 2:24
Speaker 1: getting shit on by corporations and people exactly like Jamie Dimon,
• 2:29
Speaker 1: we know exactly who we're dealing with and how they
• 2:31
Speaker 1: feel about us. And Dimon and his merry bunch of
• 2:34
Speaker 1: financial jerk-offs over here, they thought that they were never
• 2:37
Speaker 1: going to have to answer, under oath, about their relationship
• 2:41
Speaker 1: with Epstein. so they could make whatever statements they want
• 2:43
Speaker 1: in public. Oh, we never hung out with him. We
• 2:46
Speaker 1: never did this. We never did that. Same goes for
• 2:48
Speaker 1: guys like Bill Gates. And then, after it's revealed that
• 2:52
Speaker 1: that was a big-ass lie, the media's just like, oh, okay,
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: no big deal.
• 2:56
Speaker 2: He misremembered. Let's move on.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: Instead, they should be digging their heels in and trying
• 3:01
Speaker 1: to get to the bottom of the story. But they
• 3:04
Speaker 1: don't care about the truth, do they? If they can't
• 3:06
Speaker 1: wield it as a political cudgel, then forget about it.
• 3:10
Speaker 1: Today's article is from MarketWatch. Headline, former JP Morgan executive,
• 3:16
Speaker 1: Jess Daly, says he talked with Jamie Dimon about Jeffrey Epstein. Now,
• 3:22
Speaker 1: for those of you out there who have worked in
• 3:23
Speaker 1: corporate America, have you ever had a giant client that
• 3:27
Speaker 1: your boss knew nothing about? That your boss had no
• 3:30
Speaker 1: idea was even part of the fabric of what was
• 3:33
Speaker 1: going on in the company? Because I certainly don't have
• 3:37
Speaker 1: Any single experience where my bosses didn't know every single
• 3:41
Speaker 1: gigantic player that was coming into my sportsbook. They knew
• 3:45
Speaker 1: every single person that was walking into that sportsbook for
• 3:48
Speaker 1: the most part. Anybody who was betting serious money. So
• 3:52
Speaker 1: you mean to tell me that you have no idea
• 3:55
Speaker 1: who you're dealing with as Jamie Diamond at JP Morgan.
• 3:58
Speaker 1: And we're not talking about you or I going there
• 4:01
Speaker 1: to set up an account. Of course he has no
• 4:03
Speaker 1: idea who we are. We're talking about Jeffrey Epstein. Hundreds
• 4:07
Speaker 1: of millions of dollars, all kinds of benefits, and you
• 4:10
Speaker 1: mean to tell me, Jamie Dimon, Mr. Big Shot, knew
• 4:14
Speaker 1: nothing about it. Well, I don't believe that. And as
• 4:17
Speaker 1: far as Jeff Staley, he's a known liar as well,
• 4:20
Speaker 1: but a broken clock is still right two times a day.
• 4:24
Speaker 1: This article was authored by Steve Gelsie. former JPMorgan Chase
• 4:29
Speaker 1: and company executive Jess Daly alleged in court papers that
• 4:33
Speaker 1: he communicated about convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein with CEO Jamie Dimon,
• 4:39
Speaker 1: the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday. So that's damning
• 4:43
Speaker 1: right there. This guy is out here talking about how
• 4:46
Speaker 1: he knows nothing about what was going on. Meanwhile, you
• 4:49
Speaker 1: have people that were right in the mix saying something
• 4:53
Speaker 1: completely different. We read it in the emails as well, right? Oh,
• 4:56
Speaker 1: Jamie knew this or Jamie knew that. And for him
• 4:59
Speaker 1: to get up there and say that he had no
• 5:01
Speaker 1: idea is just not a statement that should be taken seriously,
• 5:05
Speaker 1: in my opinion. And if he lied about it during
• 5:07
Speaker 1: this deposition, that would be perjury. Would they ever go
• 5:11
Speaker 1: after Diamond for perjury? I highly doubt it, but that's
• 5:14
Speaker 1: why they put people under oath. So you have to
• 5:16
Speaker 1: tell the truth. If not, you're facing the music. Citing
• 5:21
Speaker 1: documents that have not been made public in a lawsuit
• 5:24
Speaker 1: against Staley brought by J.P. Morgan, the newspaper reported that
• 5:28
Speaker 1: Staley said he had conversations with Diamond about Epstein for years.
• 5:34
  Speaker 2: No shit.
• 5:35
Speaker 1: This is about as obvious as anything ever in the
• 5:39
Speaker 1: history of the world. Jeff Staley might have been a
• 5:42
Speaker 1: very powerful man at JP Morgan, but he didn't have
• 5:45
Speaker 1: the final say. He didn't have the final word on
• 5:49
Speaker 1: what was happening. When all said and done, that's Jamie Dimon.
• 5:52
Speaker 1: And remember, this shit happened on his watch. So it
• 5:55
Speaker 1: can only be one of two things. Either A, you
• 5:58
Speaker 1: were negligent, or B, you were involved. A JPMorgan Chase
• 6:03
Speaker 1: spokesperson confirmed to MarketWatch that there is no evidence that
• 6:07
Speaker 1: any such communication, as reported by the Wall Street Journal,
• 6:11
Speaker 1: took place. Oh, okay, I'm sure there's no evidence whatsoever.
• 6:14
Speaker 1: You know what we're going to find out, come later on,
• 6:17
Speaker 1: that there's going to be disappearing emails as well. Remember
• 6:21
Speaker 1: with Acosta, there's a year's worth of emails that went missing.
• 6:25
Speaker 1: And why would those emails go missing? Who is he
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: talking to?
• 6:28
Speaker 2: Oh, that's right. His superiors.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: They don't want anyone to know that they made the call.
• 6:33
Speaker 1: Acosta was set up as the fall guy. So my
• 6:36
Speaker 1: guess is we're going to hear about deleted emails when
• 6:39
Speaker 1: it comes to JP Morgan later on down the road.
• 6:42
Speaker 1: And what that leaves us with is a he said,
• 6:45
Speaker 1: she said kind of situation with Staley making these allegations
• 6:49
Speaker 1: against Jamie Dimon. Although, we do have the emails from
• 6:53
Speaker 1: the other executives talking about how Jamie Dimon knew what
• 6:57
Speaker 1: was up. So, in this instance, I happen to believe
• 7:00
Speaker 1: what Jeff Staley is saying here and that Jamie Dimon
• 7:03
Speaker 1: was well aware of Epstein and what Epstein was doing
• 7:07
  Speaker 1: while a client at J.P.
• 7:09
  Speaker 2: Morgan.
• 7:11
Speaker 1: We believe this is false, the spokesperson said. There is
• 7:14
Speaker 1: no evidence that any such communication ever occurred. Nothing in
• 7:18
Speaker 1: the large number of documents reviewed and nothing in the
• 7:21
Speaker 1: nearly dozen depositions taken, including that our own CEO, the
• 7:26
Speaker 1: one person who claims this to be true, is currently
• 7:30
Speaker 1: accused of horrific acts and dishonesty and hasn't even been deposed.
• 7:35
Speaker 1: Self-preservance is a motherfucker, huh? Look how quick these dudes
• 7:38
Speaker 1: are to throw each other under the bus. And that's
• 7:41
Speaker 1: why I said, if this was ever a RICO case,
• 7:44
Speaker 1: can you imagine these idiots trying to avoid the hard
• 7:47
Speaker 1: questions that would be coming their way from seasoned prosecutors
• 7:51
  Speaker 1: and seasoned interrogators?
• 7:54
Speaker 2: It would have been a wrap.
• 7:55
Speaker 1: Everybody would have been snitching on everybody, and the party
• 7:58
Speaker 1: would have been over. But no, they didn't want to
• 8:01
Speaker 1: do that, did they? They want to piecemeal it all
• 8:03
Speaker 1: together and act like they really care. But the real
• 8:06
Speaker 1: fact of the matter here is, the U.S. Virgin Islands,
• 8:09
Speaker 1: if they cared, This would not be civil. This would
• 8:13
Speaker 1: be a criminal matter. And instead of embarrassment and losing
• 8:17
Speaker 1: your job, we'd be talking about serious jail time. Staley
• 8:22
Speaker 1: alleged that Diamond communicated with him about Epstein after Epstein
• 8:26
Speaker 1: was arrested in 2006, as well as when Epstein pleaded
• 8:30
Speaker 1: guilty in 2008 to criminal charges in Florida. Staley, who
• 8:36
Speaker 1: also alleged that Diamond communicated with him through 2012 about
• 8:41
Speaker 1: whether to continue the bank's financial ties to Epstein. So
• 8:45
Speaker 1: basically saying that he went to his boss to see
• 8:48
Speaker 1: if it was okay, and Jamie Diamond gave his approval.
• 8:51
Speaker 1: And we see that because Epstein was still at the bank, right?
• 8:54
Speaker 1: If Diamond wanted Epstein gone, he could have made that happen.
• 8:57
Speaker 1: He's the head honcho. He's the boss man. He could
• 9:00
Speaker 1: do whatever he wants. Diamond gave a deposition in the
• 9:04
Speaker 1: lawsuit on Friday and said he has no memory of
• 9:08
Speaker 1: ever discussing or reviewing Epstein's accounts with Staley. The spokesperson said, Oh,
• 9:13
Speaker 1: I have no memory of it. I don't know.
• 9:15
  Speaker 2: I might have.
• 9:17
Speaker 1: I have such a great memory for numbers, but I
• 9:19
Speaker 1: don't remember this conversation. And I don't remember Jeffrey Epstein
• 9:23
Speaker 1: as a client even. You mean to tell me he
• 9:25
Speaker 1: was banking with J.P. Morgan? That's kind of the response
• 9:28
Speaker 1: we're getting here from Jamie Dimon, and I don't know
• 9:31
Speaker 1: who's buying it. There are millions and millions of emails
• 9:34
Speaker 1: and other documents that have been produced in this case,
• 9:37
Speaker 1: and not one comes close to even suggesting that Dimon
• 9:40
Speaker 1: had any role in decisions about Epstein's accounts, the spokesperson
• 9:44
Speaker 1: said in an email to MarketWatch. The bank now knows
• 9:48
Speaker 1: that Epstein's behavior was monstrous and that his survivors deserve justice.
• 9:55
Speaker 1: In hindsight, any association with him was a mistake, and
• 9:59
Speaker 1: we regret it. But these suits are misdirected, and we
• 10:02
Speaker 1: did not help him commit these heinous crimes, the spokesperson said.
• 10:07
Speaker 1: JP Morgan's Chase stock is down 0.2% in pre-market trades
• 10:11
Speaker 1: on Wednesday. Staley, the former head of JP Morgan's private bank,
• 10:16
Speaker 1: is being sued by JPMorgan Chase for his alleged role
• 10:20
Speaker 1: in Epstein's financial dealings. In separate lawsuits, the government of
• 10:25
Speaker 1: the U.S. Virgin Islands is suing JPMorgan over its alleged
• 10:29
Speaker 1: ties with Epstein. In that legal action, JPMorgan said last
• 10:33
Speaker 1: week that the government officials in the U.S. Virgin Islands
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: enabled Epstein.
• 10:38
Speaker 2: All of you did.
• 10:39
Speaker 1: Every last one of you. You should all be held accountable.
• 10:43
Speaker 1: In 2019, Epstein was found dead in his prison cell
• 10:47
Speaker 1: at the Metropolitan Correctional Center of an apparent suicide by
• 10:51
Speaker 1: hanging while awaiting trial for sex trafficking and other charges.
• 10:56
Speaker 1: Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting and procuring a minor for
• 11:00
Speaker 1: prostitution in 2008 and spent time in a Florida jail
• 11:05
Speaker 1: and was a registered sex offender. I mean, if you
• 11:08
Speaker 1: call what he was doing, spending time in jail, okay,
• 11:10
Speaker 1: but he was there like a few hours a day.
• 11:14
Speaker 1: Most of his time was spent at his office. And
• 11:16
Speaker 1: according to reports, while he was out on work release,
• 11:20
Speaker 1: he was molesting girls. So another feather in the cap
• 11:23
Speaker 1: for law enforcement when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein and
• 11:26
Speaker 1: his bullshit. As far as Jeff Staley goes here and
• 11:29
Speaker 1: the allegations against Jamie Dimon, I happen to believe them.
• 11:33
Speaker 1: But how is he going to prove it? That's going
• 11:35
Speaker 1: to be the difficult part. Maybe he has some receipts
• 11:37
Speaker 1: that we don't know about.
• 11:38
  Speaker 2: Very possible.
• 11:39
Speaker 1: Either way, you know we're going to be following along.
• 11:43
Speaker 1: And as soon as we have more to share, me,
• 11:45
Speaker 1: my beard, and my big mouth will be back. All right, folks,
• 11:50
Speaker 1: that's going to do it for this one. All of
• 11:51
Speaker 1: the information that goes with the episode can be found
• 11:55
Speaker 1: in the description box. Welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 12:01
Speaker 1: Jamie Dimon, big shot from J.P. Morgan, is sitting for
• 12:05
Speaker 1: a deposition today, and he's going to be deposed for
• 12:09
Speaker 1: lawsuits that accuse the bank of facilitating... and profiting from
• 12:13
Speaker 1: sex trafficking by their longtime customer, Jeffrey Epstein. This comes
• 12:19
Speaker 1: as the battle royale down in the US Virgin Islands
• 12:22
Speaker 1: between JP Morgan, unnamed accusers, Jess Staley, and the US
• 12:27
Speaker 1: Virgin Island government continues to mosh its way through the court.
• 12:33
Speaker 1: So today, we're going to talk a little bit more
• 12:35
Speaker 1: about Jamie Dimon and him sitting for this deposition. To
• 12:40
Speaker 1: do that, we have An article from CNBC, and the
• 12:44
Speaker 1: author of this article is Dan Mangan. Headline, JP Morgan
• 12:50
Speaker 1: CEO Jamie Dimon faces deposition in Jeffrey Epstein lawsuits. I'm
• 12:56
Speaker 1: honestly shocked that this guy is even giving these depositions.
• 13:00
Speaker 1: I figured he'd find a way to weasel himself out
• 13:03
Speaker 1: and not have to deal with sitting down like a
• 13:06
Speaker 1: commoner and talking about what his bank might have been
• 13:09
Speaker 1: up to. Guys like Jamie Dimon usually find a way
• 13:13
Speaker 1: to wiggle out. Oh, my mom is sick. I have
• 13:16
Speaker 1: a gopher who has an ingrown hair. You know, every
• 13:19
Speaker 1: excuse under the sun. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon was
• 13:24
Speaker 1: set to be deposed Friday at his bank's New York
• 13:27
Speaker 1: headquarters for lawsuits that accused the company of facilitating and
• 13:32
Speaker 1: profiting from sex trafficking by its longtime customer Jeffrey Epstein.
• 13:38
Speaker 1: Diamond and JPMorgan, which denies any wrongdoing and liability in
• 13:42
Speaker 1: the cases, earlier lost an effort to dismiss the suits
• 13:47
Speaker 1: by the plaintiffs, the government of the U.S. Virgin Islands,
• 13:51
Speaker 1: and an anonymous Epstein accuser. So they tried their damnedest
• 13:55
Speaker 1: to get this thrown out without a jury or a
• 13:58
Speaker 1: judge ever getting a real look at what was going on.
• 14:01
Speaker 1: And that's always the best course of action if you're
• 14:05
Speaker 1: somebody like JPMorgan, right? The last thing you want to
• 14:08
Speaker 1: do is have to answer for this bullshit in court.
• 14:11
Speaker 1: So if you can get it thrown out, find a
• 14:13
Speaker 1: judge that's favorable to your cause, then so much the better.
• 14:18
Speaker 1: But that didn't happen this time. And Judge Rakoff has
• 14:20
Speaker 1: decided that they're going to have to answer for their bullshit. Now,
• 14:24
Speaker 1: how far that goes once we get into the courtroom,
• 14:27
Speaker 1: we all know the deal. It's going to be a
• 14:29
  Speaker 1: couple of wink-wink, nudge-nudges. And there's going to be a
• 14:32
Speaker 1: bunch of payoffs. Besides that, there's not going to be
• 14:35
Speaker 1: any kind of real punishment for anybody. What do you think,
• 14:39
Speaker 1: Jamie Dimon is going to sit in the jail cell ever?
• 14:42
Speaker 1: Zero chance. What do you think, Jess Daly is, even
• 14:45
Speaker 1: though he's being accused of heinous crimes? If that was
• 14:49
Speaker 1: any of us being accused of what Jess Daly is
• 14:51
Speaker 1: being accused of, forget it. We'd be getting tarred and
• 14:55
Speaker 1: feathered and dragged down to the local police station on
• 14:58
Speaker 1: just allegations. But it's not good enough when it's Jeff
• 15:02
Speaker 1: Staley or Glenn Dubin or George Mitchell or Bill Richardson.
• 15:07
Speaker 1: The suits claim that J.P. Morgan, the biggest bank in
• 15:10
Speaker 1: the United States, kept Epstein as a customer even after
• 15:14
Speaker 1: learning he was being investigated for sexually abusing underage girls
• 15:18
Speaker 1: in Florida and after he pleaded guilty in a state
• 15:22
Speaker 1: charge there in 2008 to paying for sex from a minor.
• 15:27
Speaker 1: And we all know what that paying was. That was
• 15:30
Speaker 1: the hush money. What do you think? These little girls
• 15:33
Speaker 1: were walking around on whatever the blade is down there
• 15:35
Speaker 1: in Palm Beach and they were women of the night?
• 15:39
Speaker 1: That wasn't how this worked. This dude recruited little girls
• 15:43
Speaker 1: to go and recruit other little girls for him. And
• 15:46
Speaker 1: it was all managed by some elder women like Ghislaine
• 15:49
Speaker 1: Maxwell and Sarah Kellan Vickers who were really at the controls.
• 15:53
Speaker 1: Everybody else was just a pawn, right? A piece to
• 15:57
Speaker 1: be moved on the chessboard. for Epstein's desires and to
• 16:00
Speaker 1: advance whatever disgusting, weird-ass plot he had cooking. The bank
• 16:07
Speaker 1: is accused in the complaints in the U.S. District Court
• 16:10
Speaker 1: in Manhattan of doing so in order to keep Epstein,
• 16:14
Speaker 1: who kept tens of millions of dollars in accounts there,
• 16:17
Speaker 1: despite internal concerns about his slimy reputation. Remember, they don't
• 16:22
Speaker 1: care about your reputation. The only thing that you can
• 16:25
Speaker 1: possibly do that is bad for business is be broke.
• 16:29
Speaker 1: Everything else, it's game on. You want to abuse children.
• 16:33
Speaker 1: You want to beat on your wife. You want to
• 16:35
Speaker 1: be an arms dealer. Hell, everybody's welcomed in the elite
• 16:39
Speaker 1: circles that these scumbags run in. The Virgin Islands says
• 16:43
Speaker 1: Epstein used frequent cash withdrawals he made from those accounts
• 16:47
Speaker 1: to pay for young women to travel to the American
• 16:49
Speaker 1: territory so that he and others could abuse them at
• 16:53
Speaker 1: his residence on a private island that he owned. So
• 16:57
Speaker 1: where are the others? Everybody wants to talk about the
• 16:59
Speaker 1: others in all of these articles. How come these journalists
• 17:03
Speaker 1: don't go deeper? Okay, so they say others. Let's dig
• 17:06
Speaker 1: a little deeper. Who are these others? And when you
• 17:08
Speaker 1: start digging, it's rather obvious that a bunch of people
• 17:11
Speaker 1: have already been named. And that's why I find it
• 17:14
Speaker 1: laughable when you have people out here on Twitter and
• 17:16
Speaker 1: elsewhere talking about how they're going to expose this one
• 17:20
Speaker 1: or that one. Bro. When you have guys like George
• 17:23
Speaker 1: Mitchell and Bill Richardson being completely exposed in this and
• 17:27
Speaker 1: nothing happening, I find it so bizarre that people would
• 17:30
Speaker 1: rather talk about folks like Tom Hanks and other people
• 17:34
Speaker 1: in Hollywood while simply ignoring people like Ehud Barak or
• 17:38
Speaker 1: ignoring people like Bill Richardson or ignoring people like George Mitchell.
• 17:44
Speaker 1: It makes me wonder what their real intentions are when
• 17:46
Speaker 1: they're covering or talking about this case. Because the real
• 17:50
Speaker 1: meat and potatoes here, folks, are not the jesters that
• 17:53
Speaker 1: get dressed up and dance for our shekels. That means
• 17:57
Speaker 1: the jerk-offs in Hollywood. The real problem here are these
• 18:00
Speaker 1: degenerates that were at the levers of power and still
• 18:04
Speaker 1: hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein. People out here are acting
• 18:07
Speaker 1: like we should be shocked that Hollywood's full of degenerates.
• 18:10
Speaker 1: We already knew that. This isn't breaking news. So I'm
• 18:13
Speaker 1: always skeptical of these people out here banging the drum
• 18:16
Speaker 1: about this name or that name when the names of
• 18:19
Speaker 1: importance that have already been dropped are out there and
• 18:23
Speaker 1: none of these people that are supposedly going to expose
• 18:26
Speaker 1: everything have done a damn thing. And they'll continue to
• 18:29
Speaker 1: just be feckless grifters, but somehow... That generates buzz. People
• 18:34
Speaker 1: want that kind of stuff, I guess. Me personally, I
• 18:37
Speaker 1: don't care about all the salacious rumor. I don't care
• 18:41
Speaker 1: about Tom Hanks. I don't care about none of that.
• 18:44
Speaker 1: You know what I care about? The facts right here
• 18:46
Speaker 1: in front of my face. Things that have been in
• 18:48
Speaker 1: court documents that people in the legacy media even can't dispute.
• 18:54
Speaker 1: Those are the things that we should be pushing forward.
• 18:57
Speaker 1: That's the ball that should be carried over the goal line.
• 19:00
Speaker 1: But the sad truth is, this space, like just about
• 19:04
Speaker 1: any other, is populated with a bunch of charlatans, grifters, liars,
• 19:09
Speaker 1: and con artists. I have this secret information. And if
• 19:12
Speaker 1: you subscribe to my newsletter for the mere price of $ 4. 99
• 19:16
Speaker 1: a month, that information can be yours too. Every time
• 19:20
Speaker 1: I see garbage like that, I want to reach for
• 19:22
Speaker 1: the Drano and drink it. Human trafficking was the principal
• 19:26
Speaker 1: business of the accounts Epstein maintained at J.P. Morgan, the
• 19:30
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands suit says. Diamond's deposition is being taken in private.
• 19:35
Speaker 1: The questions he has asked and the answers he gives
• 19:39
Speaker 1: would only become public if they are used in court
• 19:41
Speaker 1: filings and proceedings or if they are leaked. And I
• 19:45
Speaker 1: would never rule that out. You never know when we're
• 19:48
Speaker 1: talking about court transcripts here. we're not talking about grand
• 19:51
Speaker 1: jury transcripts, so there's always a chance, minuscule, but there's
• 19:55
Speaker 1: always a chance that this stuff does get dumped.
• 19:59
  Speaker 2: J.P.
• 19:59
Speaker 1: Morgan didn't immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment. In
• 20:04
Speaker 1: addition to questioning Diamond under oath, the Virgin Islands has
• 20:07
Speaker 1: issued a flurry of subpoenas seeking documents related to Epstein
• 20:12
Speaker 1: and J.P. Morgan from a number of high-profile people the
• 20:16
Speaker 1: government suspects Epstein tried to recruit as fellow clients of
• 20:20
Speaker 1: the bank. And as great as it is to see
• 20:23
Speaker 1: the U.S. Virgin Islands calling out the bank here for
• 20:26
Speaker 1: their role in Jeffrey Epstein's criminal enterprise, do you really
• 20:31
Speaker 1: think they'd be doing that if hundreds of millions of
• 20:34
Speaker 1: dollars weren't on the line? I highly doubt they would be.
• 20:38
Speaker 1: Because remember, it's never been about justice here. They had
• 20:41
Speaker 1: ample opportunity to meet some justice out. And they chose
• 20:44
Speaker 1: not to. Instead, they chose to wet their beak at
• 20:48
Speaker 1: a Jeffrey Epstein's palm. They include Tesla CEO Elon Musk,
• 20:53
Speaker 1: Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, former Disney executive
• 20:58
Speaker 1: Michael Ovitz, Hyatt Hotels executive chairman Thomas Pritzker, and Mort Zuckerman,
• 21:04
Speaker 1: the billionaire real estate investor. Diamond's deposition comes more than
• 21:09
Speaker 1: a week after Deutsche Bank agreed to pay $ 75 million
• 21:14
Speaker 1: to Epstein's survivors to settle a would-be class action lawsuit
• 21:18
Speaker 1: by one of his accusers. Deutsche Bank had taken on
• 21:22
Speaker 1: Epstein as a customer after JP Morgan severed ties with
• 21:26
Speaker 1: them in 2013 after keeping him on as a client
• 21:30
Speaker 1: for 15 years. So imagine they have the audacity to
• 21:34
Speaker 1: look anybody in the face and say they did the
• 21:36
Speaker 1: right thing here You were in bed with an absolute
• 21:40
Speaker 1: serpent for all those years, and now it's all Jeff
• 21:43
Speaker 1: Staley's fault, huh? You guys had nothing to do with it.
• 21:47
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank had taken on Epstein as a customer after J.P.
• 21:51
Speaker 1: Morgan severed ties with him in 2013, after keeping him
• 21:56
Speaker 1: as a client for 15 years.
• 21:58
  Speaker 2: J.P.
• 21:58
Speaker 1: Morgan has said Diamond had not reviewed Epstein's accounts when
• 22:03
Speaker 1: he was a client there from 1998 through 2013. The
• 22:07
Speaker 1: year that JP Morgan severed its relationship with him. So
• 22:11
Speaker 1: they also want you to believe that the boss of
• 22:14
Speaker 1: the whole ass company had no idea about this big
• 22:16
Speaker 1: time player, Jeffrey Epstein, and never once took a look
• 22:20
Speaker 1: at his file. I can say that's absolute BS. When
• 22:23
Speaker 1: I was managing a sportsbook, forget it. I was going
• 22:26
Speaker 1: through files all the time of our players. What their
• 22:29
Speaker 1: tendency was, how much money they usually deposited or forwarded over,
• 22:34
Speaker 1: how much money they took out when they left.
• 22:37
Speaker 2: So I could be prepared.
• 22:38
Speaker 1: And as you all know, I'm certainly no financial genius,
• 22:42
Speaker 1: all right? Just some dumbass. And if I was doing it,
• 22:45
Speaker 1: you mean to tell me that Jamie Dimon never once
• 22:48
Speaker 1: cracked open the books for a look? If so, he's negligent.
• 22:52
Speaker 1: What else did he miss? And should JP Morgan even
• 22:55
Speaker 1: keep him on board? Or should they find somebody that's
• 22:58
Speaker 1: going to take their job a little more serious when
• 23:01
Speaker 1: it comes to compliance? Epstein died six years later from suicide, allegedly,
• 23:06
Speaker 1: in a New York jail a month after federal authorities
• 23:09
Speaker 1: charged him with trafficking girls for sex. You know what's
• 23:13
Speaker 1: so crazy? All the people that are like gung-ho to
• 23:16
Speaker 1: believe the official narrative about Jeffrey Epstein dying of suicide,
• 23:20
Speaker 1: like you see in these articles, when they say it definitively,
• 23:24
Speaker 1: and then they'll say, well, you know, that's what the
• 23:26
Speaker 1: county coroner said. That's what the medical advisor said. Until
• 23:30
Speaker 1: the next time there's a situation... and it doesn't run
• 23:33
Speaker 1: with their bias. And then all of a sudden, oh, well,
• 23:37
Speaker 1: what are you going to believe the government? So it's
• 23:39
Speaker 1: either you believe what these people are telling you, meaning
• 23:42
Speaker 1: the government, or you're skeptical of just about everything they
• 23:46
Speaker 1: have to say. And I know where I fall at
• 23:49
Speaker 1: this point, and I'm sure you all know where I
• 23:52
Speaker 1: fall at this point. Enough with the BS, enough with
• 23:55
Speaker 1: no transparency. It's about time that they just step up
• 24:00
Speaker 1: and show everybody everything they have, and let's see what's what,
• 24:04
Speaker 1: let the chips fall where they may. Because covering things up, obfuscating,
• 24:09
Speaker 1: and acting like nothing bad happened in that jail cell
• 24:13
Speaker 1: or in that jailhouse is absolutely absurd, and truly is
• 24:17
  Speaker 1: cognitive dissonance.
• 24:20
  Speaker 2: J.P. Morgan pushes back. J.P.
• 24:22
Speaker 1: Morgan, in a related complaint, has said that any civil
• 24:25
Speaker 1: liability it would have from Epstein's conduct is the responsibility
• 24:30
Speaker 1: of its former executive, Jeff Staley, who is a friend
• 24:33
Speaker 1: of Epstein and his main business contact at the bank. Staley,
• 24:38
Speaker 1: who also denies any wrongdoing, earlier this week lost a
• 24:42
Speaker 1: bid to dismiss JP Morgan's complaint against him, which, among
• 24:46
Speaker 1: other things, seeks to recoup $ 80 million in compensation from him.
• 24:51
Speaker 2: So that's just the first firing shot by them.
• 24:54
Speaker 1: They also want him to be on the line for
• 24:56
Speaker 1: any sort of penalty they might incur because of the
• 25:01
Speaker 1: bank's relationship with Epstein. So remember, the whole entire plan
• 25:05
Speaker 1: from J.P. Morgan is not us. It's everybody else's fault
• 25:10
Speaker 1: but ours. And while that may be true, everybody else
• 25:13
Speaker 1: might have been involved, so were they. In addition to
• 25:17
Speaker 1: trying to shift blame to Staley, J.P. Morgan this week
• 25:20
Speaker 1: in a court filing accused the Virgin Islands of being
• 25:23
Speaker 1: complicit in the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein. The filing said
• 25:28
Speaker 1: the Virgin Islands looked the other way as Epstein trafficked
• 25:31
Speaker 1: young women because he was given high-ranking officials their money, advice,
• 25:36
Speaker 1: and favors. The filing specifically says that Epstein paid tuition
• 25:42
Speaker 1: for the children of John de Jong and his wife
• 25:46
Speaker 1: Cecile when John served as Virgin Islands governor and when
• 25:50
Speaker 1: Cecile worked for Epstein managing his companies in the territory.
• 25:55
Speaker 1: None of this is disputable. And I remember catching some
• 25:58
Speaker 1: flack for my position when it comes to the United
• 26:01
Speaker 1: States Virgin Islands, Denise George, and what they were up to.
• 26:05
Speaker 1: And it was all based on the fact that they
• 26:07
Speaker 1: helped Jeffrey Epstein put this whole entire thing in motion.
• 26:10
Speaker 1: They helped keep it going. And then the fact that
• 26:13
Speaker 1: they had the audacity to try to get some money,
• 26:15
Speaker 1: all of a sudden, I'm the asshole, huh? Well, I
• 26:17
Speaker 1: guess I'm the asshole. But that doesn't change the fact
• 26:20
Speaker 1: that the U.S. Virgin Islands was on one here. And
• 26:23
Speaker 1: what they were up to is basically a lick. They
• 26:26
Speaker 1: basically took this money, in my opinion. And the fact
• 26:30
Speaker 1: that it was so easy for them to do so,
• 26:32
Speaker 1: they figured they might as well let it rip one
• 26:35
Speaker 1: more time, throw the dice, and see what happens here.
• 26:38
Speaker 1: Another $ 105 million, well, that can really go a long
• 26:41
Speaker 1: way to promoting and propagating our.
• 26:44
  Speaker 2: Corruption, right?
• 26:46
Speaker 1: Cecile also allegedly made efforts to secure student visas for
• 26:50
Speaker 1: young women connected to Epstein and was his primary conduit
• 26:54
Speaker 1: for spreading money and influence throughout the USVI government. The
• 26:59
Speaker 1: Washington Post on Friday published details of a deposition earlier
• 27:03
Speaker 1: taken by Mary Erdos, who runs JPMorgan's Asset and Wealth
• 27:08
Speaker 1: Management Division. Oh boy, Erdos wrote in a 2011 email
• 27:13
Speaker 1: to another bank executive, after she found out Epstein's status
• 27:17
Speaker 1: as a sex offender as a result of his Florida conviction,
• 27:21
Speaker 1: had been affirmed, the Washington Post reported. The newspaper said
• 27:26
Speaker 1: that was at least the sixth time Erdos had been
• 27:29
Speaker 1: alerted to Epstein's criminal or civil legal trouble for sex crimes.
• 27:35
Speaker 1: So there's the culpability right there for J.P.
• 27:38
  Speaker 2: Morgan.
• 27:39
Speaker 1: Them trying to weasel their way out It's not going
• 27:42
  Speaker 1: to work.
• 27:42
  Speaker 2: But I do.
• 27:43
Speaker 1: Appreciate the attempt to go down swinging and take down
• 27:46
Speaker 1: some other scumbags, which I'm on board for that 100%.
• 27:51
  Speaker 2: Because the U.S.
• 27:52
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands setting themselves up here like they're the hero
• 27:56
Speaker 1: is one of the biggest jokes that honestly I've ever seen.
• 28:00
Speaker 1: These people are no heroes. If they were heroes, we
• 28:03
Speaker 1: wouldn't have civil suits out the wazoo. We'd have criminal
• 28:08
Speaker 1: complaints making their way.
• 28:09
  Speaker 2: Through the court.
• 28:10
Speaker 1: With Rico attached to it. But instead, what we see,
• 28:14
Speaker 1: is just another cash grab. Alright folks, that's going to
• 28:18
Speaker 1: do it for me. All of the information that goes
• 28:21
Speaker 1: with this episode can be found in the description box.
• 28:24
Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 28:29
Speaker 1: In our previous episode on the topic, we heard that
• 28:32
Speaker 1: Jess Staley had alleged that Jamie Dimon was well aware
• 28:38
Speaker 1: of the relationship between the bank and Jeffrey Epstein and
• 28:42
Speaker 1: the fact that he was retained as a client after
• 28:46
Speaker 1: his conviction. Well, now, of course, J.P. Morgan has answered
• 28:51
Speaker 1: those allegations and they say that it's a bunch of BS.
• 28:56
Speaker 1: We talked a little bit about their reply in the
• 29:00
Speaker 1: last episode, but now they're giving us a little bit
• 29:03
Speaker 1: more here and we're getting a little more context as
• 29:06
Speaker 1: far as their denial goes and a little more about
• 29:10
Speaker 1: the deposition of Jamie Dimon. So, let's just dive into
• 29:14
Speaker 1: this article from CNBC and let's keep the conversation going. Headline,
• 29:21
Speaker 1: JP Morgan rejects claim that Dimon and Staley discussed Epstein.
• 29:25
Speaker 1: We believe this is false. The authors of this article
• 29:30
Speaker 1: are Dan Mangan and Eamon Javers. And this article, again,
• 29:35
Speaker 1: was published by CNBC. JPMorgan Chase on Wednesday rejected allegations
• 29:42
Speaker 1: cited in a new report that CEO Jamie Dimon, for years,
• 29:46
Speaker 1: discussed the bank's then-customer, Jeffrey Epstein, a sex predator, with
• 29:51
Speaker 1: Jess Daly, who was at the time a top JPMorgan executive. And,
• 29:56
Speaker 1: of course, those were the allegations made by Jess Daly
• 30:00
Speaker 1: in the article that we talked about earlier. And you
• 30:03
Speaker 1: see how important narrative control is here. Right after those
• 30:07
Speaker 1: statements go live out in the Wall Street Journal by
• 30:11
Speaker 1: Jess Daly, well, JP Morgan and their comms team, they
• 30:15
Speaker 1: have to get out and make a statement to try
• 30:17
Speaker 1: and get ahead of the statement that Jess Daly has
• 30:20
Speaker 1: already made. And this is the sort of contentious nature
• 30:23
Speaker 1: that you should expect throughout the duration of these legal proceedings,
• 30:28
Speaker 1: as both sides tried to blame the other side for
• 30:31
Speaker 1: being just a little bit scummier than we were. And
• 30:35
Speaker 1: that's J.P. Morgan saying, Jeff Staley and his personal relationship
• 30:40
Speaker 1: is far worse than the fact that we had this
• 30:42
Speaker 1: guy at the bank because, you know, we didn't know.
• 30:45
Speaker 1: Which is obviously a bunch of BS. We believe this
• 30:49
  Speaker 1: is false.
• 30:50
  Speaker 2: There is no.
• 30:50
Speaker 1: Evidence that any such communication ever occurred.
• 30:54
  Speaker 2: Nothing.
• 30:55
Speaker 1: In the number of documents reviewed, and nothing in the
• 30:58
Speaker 1: nearly dozen depositions taken, including that of her own CEO,
• 31:03
Speaker 1: JP Morgan spokeswoman Patricia Wexler said in a statement to CNBC,
• 31:09
Speaker 1: The one person who claims that this is true is
• 31:12
Speaker 1: currently accused of horrific acts and dishonesty and hasn't been deposed,
• 31:18
Speaker 1: Wexler said, referring to Staley, and this is what we
• 31:21
Speaker 1: heard from them earlier today. basically shrugging off the claims
• 31:24
Speaker 1: and saying that somebody who is being accused of horrific
• 31:30
Speaker 1: sexual crimes is not somebody that they would call credible
• 31:34
Speaker 1: and not somebody that they would even give any air
• 31:38
Speaker 1: to when it comes to making allegations. Now, I think
• 31:42
Speaker 1: that's a bit far considering we know that both sides
• 31:45
Speaker 1: here are scummy as hell. I don't think listening to
• 31:49
Speaker 1: either side here is a good idea. The best idea
• 31:52
Speaker 1: is to follow along with these court filings, these documents,
• 31:56
Speaker 1: and see which way is which. Because both sides are
• 32:00
Speaker 1: going to try and craft their own narrative. And then
• 32:02
Speaker 1: you have the United States Virgin Islands, forget it. They're
• 32:05
Speaker 1: also engaged in the game of anybody but us. And
• 32:08
Speaker 1: when you add all of those ingredients up, you come
• 32:12
Speaker 1: up with a shit sandwich. And that's exactly what these
• 32:15
Speaker 1: proceedings are. You have a three-way, a battle royale here.
• 32:20
Speaker 1: between the U.S. Virgin Islands, J.P. Morgan, and Jeff Staley
• 32:24
Speaker 1: about who the biggest scumbag is. Meanwhile, the real conversation
• 32:28
Speaker 1: should be, why was nobody held responsible for all of
• 32:31
Speaker 1: these years? And that most certainly includes down in the U.S.
• 32:34
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands and the politicians who were elected down there
• 32:38
Speaker 1: to stop things like this from happening in the first place.
• 32:42
Speaker 1: So until they're held responsible, as I've said numerous times,
• 32:46
Speaker 1: I don't see how the U.S. Virgin Islands should be
• 32:49
Speaker 1: entitled to one single cent of any of this money.
• 32:53
Speaker 1: Wexler's comments came hours after the Wall Street Journal published
• 32:57
Speaker 1: an article saying that Staley, in legal documents, said that
• 33:01
Speaker 1: for years he communicated with Diamond about JP Morgan's business
• 33:05
Speaker 1: with Epstein. So, somebody is lying. Is it Jeff Staley,
• 33:09
Speaker 1: or is it Jamie Diamond? Jamie Diamond sat down for
• 33:13
Speaker 1: that deposition, and I'm sure he was asked about this.
• 33:16
Speaker 1: If it comes back that he was lying, well, he's
• 33:19
Speaker 1: going to have to face some perjury problems. Will it
• 33:22
Speaker 1: be a big deal for a guy like Jamie Dimon?
• 33:24
Speaker 1: I highly doubt it. But that's the penalty if you
• 33:27
Speaker 1: lie under oath. And as far as Jeff Staley goes,
• 33:31
Speaker 1: I highly doubt that this guy has ever told the
• 33:34
Speaker 1: truth when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein or his weird-ass
• 33:37
Speaker 1: relationship with the sicko. Then you look at all of
• 33:41
Speaker 1: the information about The code words and him going over
• 33:45
Speaker 1: to Epstein's to have a nice dunk in the jacuzzi.
• 33:48
Speaker 1: And you tell me, what about any of that seems
• 33:51
Speaker 1: normal and not odd? So Staley has still not explained
• 33:54
Speaker 1: any of this stuff. Oh, it's a bunch of lies.
• 33:57
Speaker 1: We weren't that close. This goofball is one step away
• 34:00
Speaker 1: from getting some TV time, getting up there during that
• 34:04
Speaker 1: TV time and trying the Jedi mind trick on the
• 34:07
  Speaker 1: whole entire.
• 34:07
Speaker 2: World so that we all forget about his.
• 34:10
Speaker 1: Involvement with Epstein. For me, that's how ridiculous all of
• 34:14
Speaker 1: these denials are. When we can see with our own
• 34:17
Speaker 1: eyes what happened inside of those emails, meaning the conversation,
• 34:22
Speaker 1: we hear from all of the people that were around
• 34:25
Speaker 1: these idiots. And then the slam home slam dunk for
• 34:29
Speaker 1: me is the emails between Jeffrey Epstein and Jess Daly.
• 34:34
Speaker 1: Those aren't the kind of emails that you're sending to
• 34:36
Speaker 1: somebody that you're not close to, especially when you're using
• 34:40
Speaker 1: code word. And these two Stunads obviously thought that they
• 34:43
Speaker 1: were the wind talkers. Epstein was a client of the
• 34:46
Speaker 1: bank from 1998 to 2013, keeping hundreds of millions of
• 34:51
Speaker 1: dollars on deposit in multiple accounts. In the documents, Staley
• 34:55
Speaker 1: said that Diamond communicated with him when Epstein was arrested
• 35:00
Speaker 1: in 2006 and in 2008. When Epstein pleaded guilty to
• 35:05
Speaker 1: a sex crime in Florida, the Journal reported. Staley also said,
• 35:10
Speaker 1: that Diamond communicated with him various times about whether to
• 35:14
Speaker 1: maintain Epstein as a client through 2012. And as I've
• 35:19
Speaker 1: stated before, that certainly tracks with me. I highly doubt
• 35:22
Speaker 1: that a guy like Jamie Diamond is leaving it up
• 35:26
Speaker 1: to his subordinates to make these onboarding decisions or offboarding decisions.
• 35:31
Speaker 1: We're talking about hundreds of millions, billions of dollars. And
• 35:35
  Speaker 1: I don't care how much you're trusted. I don't care
• 35:38
Speaker 1: how much you're valued by the company. There's going to
• 35:41
Speaker 1: be people above you that are going to want to
• 35:44
  Speaker 1: check your work.
• 35:45
Speaker 2: And they're going to want to.
• 35:46
Speaker 1: Make sure that whatever deals you're getting involved in are
• 35:49
Speaker 1: beneficial to the bank. So again, it's only two things
• 35:53
Speaker 1: when it comes to Jamie Dimon. Either it's negligence or
• 35:56
Speaker 1: he's lying. And either way, it's a bad look. And
• 35:59
Speaker 1: if I was a shareholder, I would demand that he
• 36:01
Speaker 1: steps down. Have you taken a look at their stock
• 36:04
Speaker 1: price today? They're getting absolutely hammered. Now, does that mean
• 36:07
Speaker 1: anything in the long run? Probably not. We're talking about
• 36:10
Speaker 1: JP Morgan here. But at the end of the day,
• 36:14
Speaker 1: as a stockholder, I wouldn't be confident in Jamie Dimon
• 36:18
Speaker 1: leading the company, leading the bank towards a profitable future,
• 36:22
Speaker 1: especially considering he's showing this lack of judgment in the
• 36:27
Speaker 1: way he was handling Jeffrey Epstein and a guy with
• 36:29
Speaker 1: such disgusting character. So why would anyone have confidence in
• 36:34
Speaker 1: this dude moving forward?
• 36:36
  Speaker 2: I don't understand.
• 36:38
Speaker 1: Epstein served more than a year in jail, if you
• 36:40
Speaker 1: want to call it that, for soliciting sex from a minor,
• 36:44
Speaker 1: a case that was widely reported at the time.
• 36:47
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, widely reported.
• 36:49
Speaker 1: You mean reported as exactly that, right? The legacy media
• 36:53
Speaker 1: ran cover for this dude at the time, and they
• 36:55
Speaker 1: reported it like it was just a regular situation where
• 36:59
Speaker 1: a dude who is a billionaire solicited a girl for
• 37:03
Speaker 1: some sex. And if it was under regular circumstances, some
• 37:07
Speaker 1: regular guy out there trying to find a prostitute, then hey, look,
• 37:11
Speaker 1: how many dudes have done that?
• 37:13
  Speaker 2: No big deal.
• 37:14
Speaker 1: And that's the way that the media tried to frame this.
• 37:17
Speaker 1: And that's why Epstein was so adamant about getting the
• 37:20
Speaker 1: charge moved to what it was. Because if he was
• 37:23
Speaker 1: charged federally with the crimes that they wanted to hit
• 37:25
Speaker 1: him with, well, he couldn't say, look, it was only
• 37:28
Speaker 1: for solicitation. It wasn't that big of a deal. I mean,
• 37:31
Speaker 1: who hasn't done it? Because now there's a whole slew
• 37:34
Speaker 1: of other federal charges that are much, much worse than
• 37:38
Speaker 1: what we saw. And that was the whole point of
• 37:41
Speaker 1: that plea deal. And that was the whole point of
• 37:43
Speaker 1: bringing in that powerful legal team that he surrounded himself
• 37:47
Speaker 1: with down in Florida. When thinking about Jeffrey Epstein and
• 37:51
Speaker 1: you're thinking about his plots... Remember that as much of
• 37:54
Speaker 1: a piece of shit as he was, the guy was
• 37:56
Speaker 1: very calculating and he had a lot of the moving
• 38:00
Speaker 1: parts that he needed inside of the machine to do
• 38:04
Speaker 1: what he wanted to do. And one of the most
• 38:07
Speaker 1: crucial parts of that is narrative control. And if you
• 38:10
Speaker 1: can control what the media is saying about you for
• 38:13
Speaker 1: the most part, then you're going to have some easier
• 38:16
Speaker 1: waters to navigate as you try and rehabilitate your image.
• 38:21
Speaker 1: The Journal also reported that it had seen documents indicating
• 38:25
Speaker 1: that Diamond and Staley had a meeting scheduled with Epstein
• 38:29
Speaker 1: on March 2nd, 2010. JP Morgan told the newspaper that
• 38:34
Speaker 1: Diamond did not attend that meeting and that it was
• 38:36
Speaker 1: not on the CEO's calendar. Well, that's the end of it, folks.
• 38:40
Speaker 1: We've been told that Jamie Diamond, Mr. Honesty himself, didn't
• 38:45
Speaker 1: go to that meeting. And if you want to refer
• 38:47
Speaker 1: to his calendar, you most certainly can. I mean, really,
• 38:50
Speaker 1: who believes that? Oh yeah, look, I didn't do it.
• 38:53
Speaker 2: Well, what's your proof?
• 38:55
Speaker 1: I'm telling you, I didn't do it. And the sad
• 38:57
Speaker 1: part is, when you're somebody like Jamie Dimon, more times
• 39:01
Speaker 1: than not, that's acceptable. People just take that at face value.
• 39:05
  Speaker 2: Oh, Mr.
• 39:06
Speaker 1: Dimon's so successful, he wouldn't BS me.
• 39:08
  Speaker 2: Yeah, right.
• 39:09
Speaker 1: This dude's out here spinning more tails than Dr. fucking Seuss.
• 39:14
Speaker 1: Diamond was deposed on Friday for two civil lawsuits in U.S.
• 39:18
Speaker 1: District Court in Manhattan against the bank accusing JPMorgan of
• 39:22
Speaker 1: enabling and financially benefiting from sex trafficking by Epstein. One
• 39:29
Speaker 1: suit was filed by... the government of the U.S. Virgin Islands,
• 39:32
Speaker 1: where Epstein maintained a residence on a private island. The
• 39:36
Speaker 1: other complaint was filed by an Epstein accuser who is
• 39:39
Speaker 1: seeking to make her complaint a class action suit on
• 39:42
Speaker 1: behalf of the other women. And we've talked about that
• 39:46
Speaker 1: as well, and Judge Rakoff certainly looks like he is
• 39:49
Speaker 1: going to make that move. And if he certifies it
• 39:52
Speaker 1: as a class action suit, the waters are going to
• 39:55
Speaker 1: get a bit choppier for J.P.
• 39:57
  Speaker 2: Morgan.
• 39:58
Speaker 1: The suit against JP Morgan by an Epstein accuser alleges
• 40:02
Speaker 1: that Staley knew without any doubt that Epstein was trafficking
• 40:06
Speaker 1: and abusing girls. JP Morgan has claimed in a court
• 40:10
Speaker 1: filing that Staley is the person identified without being named
• 40:15
Speaker 1: in that suit as using aggressive force and sexually assaulting
• 40:19
Speaker 1: an Epstein accuser. Hell of a guy, huh? Hell of
• 40:22
Speaker 1: an employee. And remember, this dude was employed by J.P.
• 40:26
Speaker 1: Morgan for how long? Nobody else knew that he was
• 40:29
Speaker 1: a sicko, huh? Came to work every day, a real
• 40:32
Speaker 1: lunch bucket kind of guy. Staley denies any wrongdoing and
• 40:37
Speaker 1: having known about Epstein's abuse of young women. Deutsche Bank,
• 40:41
Speaker 1: which became Epstein's bank in 2013 after J.P. Morgan severed
• 40:45
Speaker 1: ties with them on the heels of Staley's exit from
• 40:49
Speaker 1: the bank, earlier this month agreed to settle for $ 75 million,
• 40:53
Speaker 1: a lawsuit by another Epstein accuser. That deal will benefit
• 40:57
Speaker 1: other women who were victimized by Epstein during the time
• 41:01
Speaker 1: he was at Deutsche Bank. JP Morgan, which denies any wrongdoing,
• 41:06
Speaker 1: has alleged in legal filings that Staley is responsible for
• 41:10
Speaker 1: any civil liability arising from Epstein's use of funds he
• 41:14
Speaker 1: had on deposit at the bank to send young women
• 41:17
Speaker 1: to the Virgin Islands and elsewhere to be abused by
• 41:21
Speaker 1: him and others. Wexler, last week, said after Diamond's deposition,
• 41:26
Speaker 1: our CEO reaffirmed after his deposition that, as he has
• 41:30
Speaker 1: previously said, he never met with him, never emailed him,
• 41:34
Speaker 1: does not recall ever discussing his accounts internally, and was
• 41:38
Speaker 1: not involved in any decisions about his account. So what
• 41:42
Speaker 1: exactly does Jamie Diamond do all day? Does he go
• 41:45
Speaker 1: down to the helps all and sit around and eat sushi?
• 41:48
Speaker 1: Is he doing a workout? Some Pilates maybe? Because he
• 41:52
Speaker 1: doesn't seem like he has his finger on the pulse
• 41:55
Speaker 1: of his company. When one of your biggest accounts, Jeffrey Epstein,
• 41:59
Speaker 1: is rolling around in the mud and you act like
• 42:01
Speaker 1: you have nothing to do with it, like you have
• 42:04
Speaker 1: no idea about any of it. Well, what are we
• 42:07
Speaker 1: supposed to think? There are over a million pages of
• 42:10
Speaker 1: emails and other documents that have been produced in this case,
• 42:14
Speaker 1: and not one comes close to even suggesting that he
• 42:18
Speaker 1: had any role in decisions about Epstein's accounts, Wexler said.
• 42:22
Speaker 1: As we have said, we now know that Epstein's behavior
• 42:26
Speaker 1: was monstrous and his victims deserve justice. In hindsight, any
• 42:31
Speaker 1: association with him was a mistake, and we regret it.
• 42:35
Speaker 1: But these suits are misdirected as we did not help
• 42:38
Speaker 1: him commit his heinous crimes.
• 42:40
Speaker 2: No, you facilitated it, though. Same thing.
• 42:42
Speaker 1: You enabled it. You are the banker. You are the
• 42:45
Speaker 1: people pumping his gross ass money through the heart of
• 42:48
Speaker 1: the financial sector for your own benefit. It doesn't get
• 42:52
Speaker 1: much clearer than that. Epstein, 66, killed himself in a
• 42:57
Speaker 1: Manhattan jail in August 2019, allegedly, a month after federal
• 43:02
Speaker 1: authorities arrested and charged him with child sex trafficking. Diamond
• 43:08
Speaker 1: has expressed regret that J.P. Morgan did business with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 43:14
Speaker 1: I am so sad that we had any relationship to
• 43:17
Speaker 1: that man whatsoever, the CEO told Bloomberg in an interview
• 43:22
Speaker 1: on May 11th. You know, we had top lawyers evaluating
• 43:26
Speaker 1: from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Enforcement, the Department
• 43:30
Speaker 1: of Justice, you know, and obviously, had we known then
• 43:34
Speaker 1: what we know now, we would have done things differently,
• 43:37
Speaker 1: Diamond said. And you know what's so funny about that statement?
• 43:40
Speaker 1: Just before he says that, he says he had the
• 43:42
Speaker 1: top lawyers, this one, that one, everybody. but the Apostle
• 43:47
Speaker 1: Paul looking into who Jeffrey Epstein was or into accounts.
• 43:51
Speaker 1: But somehow, someway, this one slipped the dragnet and he
• 43:55
Speaker 1: just happened to have connections to all these powerful people.
• 43:58
Speaker 2: Just another coincidence, huh?
• 44:00
Speaker 1: Like the guards falling asleep, like the cameras not working,
• 44:04
Speaker 1: like Nicholas Tartaglione being in a jail cell with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 44:09
Speaker 1: It's all coincidence, folks. Nothing to see here, says the
• 44:13
Speaker 1: circus master as he enters the tent. All right, folks,
• 44:17
Speaker 1: that's going to do it for this one. All of
• 44:19
Speaker 1: the information that goes with the episode can be found
• 44:22
Speaker 1: in the description box.
