- 0:05Speaker 1: Bound shown streaming live worldwide on the Out of Bounds
- 0:09Speaker 1: Radio and on your radio N one oh five point
- 0:12Speaker 1: nine the zone.
- 0:25Speaker 2: M mhm.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Swear at you, Bay, Good morning to you, good morning.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Welcome into the out of Bound show ESPN one oh
- 0:44Speaker 3: five down the zone.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Uh.
- 0:47Speaker 3: We're powered by Pearl River Resort and Guys are Falls
- 0:52Speaker 3: Water Park and Championship Golf Dancing Rabbit Golf Club on
- 0:57Speaker 3: the property of Pearl River Resort. Hit it up twenty
- 1:01Speaker 3: four to forty eight hours of straight fun. I like
- 1:06Speaker 3: to have fun. Pearlriverresort dot com. Dave bar two will
- 1:11Speaker 3: be here this time next week in studio. That's gonna
- 1:14Speaker 3: be fun. We'll do a show here, We'll do a
- 1:16Speaker 3: show up at Pearl River Resort. It's gonna be a blast, bow, bounce,
- 1:21Speaker 3: straight funk with you. And I guess it's a little
- 1:28Speaker 3: quiet in the sec right now. So Michigan said, hold
- 1:35Speaker 3: my cocktail. And the scandal which started well well before
- 1:42Speaker 3: last year, when it broke like all scandals between you know,
- 1:48Speaker 3: I guess Michigan's Athletic department. Sharon Moore was the offensive
- 1:52Speaker 3: coordinator under Harball been promoted to head coach again Peter Principal,
- 2:01Speaker 3: kind of like what happened in Startbell, but uh, promoted
- 2:05Speaker 3: to head coach and then you know, eventually the the
- 2:11Speaker 3: scandal broke with Paid Shivers, who was an intern under him,
- 2:16Speaker 3: having an affair, him going crazy, and uh, now we've
- 2:20Speaker 3: got allegedly maybe Jim Harball helped set up an abortion appointment,
- 2:31Speaker 3: uh for Paid Shivers. There there's a lot to unpack here.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Ward Manual evidently still believes he's going to keep his job,
- 2:40Speaker 3: according to some reports. According to this one, Manuel himself
- 2:46Speaker 3: is now publicly saying via text to Dellinger Ross Dellinger
- 2:49Speaker 3: for our listeners, one of the best college football writers
- 2:53Speaker 3: in the country, Mississippi Statelum Dellinger, that that Ward Manual
- 2:58Speaker 3: text Dollinger he's not going anywhere. He and his multiple
- 3:00Speaker 3: outlets report his jobs in jeopardy. The board meets on Thursday.
- 3:06Speaker 3: They couldn't meet yesterday, they can't meet today. Evidently they
- 3:09Speaker 3: can't meet tomorrow. I guess nobody can fire up a zoom.
- 3:13Speaker 3: But they're gonna meet on on Thursday. Maybe it's going
- 3:16Speaker 3: to take them that long to unpack the God knows
- 3:19Speaker 3: how many pages of the investigative report that Michigan spent
- 3:26Speaker 3: twelve million on themselves, saying with a law firm in Chicago,
- 3:31Speaker 3: gener and Block, here's twelve million dollars, we need you
- 3:35Speaker 3: to do a review of Sharon Moore's firing. And then
- 3:41Speaker 3: it widened to the whole athletic department's culture. And so, oh,
- 3:47Speaker 3: I guess the findings are officially dropping on Thursday. Okay, okay,
- 3:52Speaker 3: but I assume they have it in hand, or surely
- 3:56Speaker 3: somebody does. So there's a lot going on here. And
- 3:59Speaker 3: it's Michigan. They're big and even though they're dysfunctional, they've
- 4:03Speaker 3: won a national championship in football and a national championship
- 4:08Speaker 3: in basketball in the last couple of years, which I'll
- 4:12Speaker 3: just be honest with you, it means their fans don't care.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I mean, fan bases want to win, you know, I mean,
- 4:20Speaker 3: good Lord, So people want to win at all costs,
- 4:26Speaker 3: travel ball, SEC, big ten, pro sports, you know, hell,
- 4:34Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know your rec basketball league, but
- 4:37Speaker 3: but uh uh yeah, I mean people want to win
- 4:40Speaker 3: at all costs. And and that's that's where we are
- 4:44Speaker 3: with Michigan, and it's it's it's ugly, don't get me wrong.
- 4:51Speaker 3: And like the cat the Connor Stallions signed stealing thing,
- 4:55Speaker 3: which y'all know I thought was dumb. I mean that
- 5:00Speaker 3: that's so far down the list now with all this,
- 5:03Speaker 3: you know, I mean, he just happened to be somebody
- 5:06Speaker 3: that was on the kind of the cutting edge forefront
- 5:08Speaker 3: of doing some things.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Spying.
- 5:13Speaker 3: He's a spy, and the Big Ten we have a spy.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I mean, come on. But anyway, what they call it
- 5:22Speaker 3: advanced scouting. You're damn right? Oh, I like that. I
- 5:27Speaker 3: had not heard that in a minute. Yeah, yeah, he's
- 5:32Speaker 3: he's the number one advanced scout in the history of
- 5:34Speaker 3: college football. Pretty simple. Yeah, that's beautiful, absolutely so.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I don't know if they gave him one. I bet
- 5:43Speaker 3: they did. I doubt it. I bet they did and
- 5:47Speaker 3: didn't tell anybody. Yeah yeah, but people, people want to
- 5:54Speaker 3: win at all costs, travel ball, high school, SEC, Big ten,
- 5:58Speaker 3: pro when at all costs. Now, some some programs and
- 6:03Speaker 3: teams are not shrewd at MSU, but you know, oh,
- 6:09Speaker 3: miss damn sure shrewd enough, right, They're like, well we'll
- 6:13Speaker 3: we'll take off the gloves. You know, Michigan's dysfunctional in
- 6:17Speaker 3: one way and it's ugly, like Mississippi State's athletic departments
- 6:20Speaker 3: dysfunctional in another way right now, but they're not even winning. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:25Speaker 3: it's just incredible. You can get in touch with us
- 6:29Speaker 3: on the Dancing Rabbit golf text line six oh one
- 6:32Speaker 3: eight eight five three seven seven six Wow what nk it? Well,
- 6:38Speaker 3: it's that time of year. Football season is here. The
- 6:41Speaker 3: text line tell us good morning, where are you? What
- 6:44Speaker 3: are you doing? I mean, are you urinating in your
- 6:46Speaker 3: backyard while you're streaming us on the out of Bounds
- 6:49Speaker 3: Radio app? Are you in the shower? Is your family
- 6:55Speaker 3: having to listen to us and they don't really want
- 6:58Speaker 3: to listen to us? How many times I heard that
- 7:00Speaker 3: over the years. I'll run into a guy and he'll
- 7:03Speaker 3: have one of his kids with him. Hey, this is
- 7:06Speaker 3: who we listen to h every morning, And I'm sitting
- 7:10Speaker 3: there thinking they'd rather be listening to like, you know, whatever,
- 7:13Speaker 3: cartoon or something. Right, But I love that that. I mean,
- 7:18Speaker 3: we got to have men stake their claim on the
- 7:21Speaker 3: radio or the stream. Yeah, okay, the driver right. So
- 7:25Speaker 3: we want you to download the out of Bounds Radio
- 7:30Speaker 3: app and listen to the show. All right, text line,
- 7:34Speaker 3: you got that Twitter, you know that we're on X
- 7:38Speaker 3: at bow Bounds. I need to respond to somebody who
- 7:41Speaker 3: tweeted to us about bar two talking about the nine
- 7:45Speaker 3: sec games. So let's see find us on next at
- 7:51Speaker 3: bow Bounce and the Michelobultra collar line is six to
- 7:55Speaker 3: oh one, seven zero, seven thirty seven fifty. All right. Now,
- 8:05Speaker 3: some of you may think, well, will this hurt Hardball
- 8:08Speaker 3: with the Chargers. It won't. It's that's not how the
- 8:13Speaker 3: NFL works. It was kind of like I'd laugh when
- 8:16Speaker 3: people thought that Brabile may lose his job over having
- 8:18Speaker 3: an affair, that that's not how it works in the NFL.
- 8:23Speaker 3: So after a coach who just left the Super Bowl, no, right,
- 8:27Speaker 3: I mean he's proven he could win with that team, right,
- 8:31Speaker 3: I mean, you know they're solid at quarterback, but they
- 8:34Speaker 3: were they were just good in places, you know, opportunistic. Yeah,
- 8:40Speaker 3: they did have one of the better schedules. I remember
- 8:43Speaker 3: Palazola talking about, you know, the Patriots. I guess because
- 8:47Speaker 3: they had lost a few years before, they had landed
- 8:49Speaker 3: on a really good schedule. So but yeah, uh, it's
- 8:56Speaker 3: not a good look by Jim Harball. But it's not
- 8:59Speaker 3: going to impact him leading the LA Chargers because he
- 9:02Speaker 3: just led them to the playoffs. National Mac and Cheese Day.
- 9:07Speaker 3: That mac and Cheese at Burger's Blues Barbecue, Dogwood Flowood
- 9:11Speaker 3: is insanity. That mac and cheese at Barton Dinkins does
- 9:16Speaker 3: at Two Brothers, that port Belly mac Hey insanity. National
- 9:24Speaker 3: Mac and Cheese Day, y'all bring it on that. The
- 9:26Speaker 3: text line six oh one eight eight five three, seven
- 9:30Speaker 3: seven six look BYU is hard to profile because they
- 10:23Speaker 3: got so many twenty nine year olds that are married
- 10:26Speaker 3: with kids on that team. Oh what is happening? We've
- 10:32Speaker 3: got one of our listeners, Maximus, on the Dancing Rabbit
- 10:37Speaker 3: Golf tax line. He's driving to the Mississippi Gulf Coast
- 10:41Speaker 3: to for meetings today. So thank you Maximus for listening
- 10:47Speaker 3: to the Out of Bounds Show ESPN one oh five
- 10:52Speaker 3: nine the Zone and we're streaming live on the out
- 10:56Speaker 3: of Bounds Radio app out of Bounds Radio app.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Man.
- 11:03Speaker 3: That thing was worth building? Yeah, what how long ago
- 11:09Speaker 3: was that? Fifteen years ago? I think I built that
- 11:14Speaker 3: out Well, I didn't build it, I paid somebody to build. Yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 3: it's a long time. There have been millions of streams
- 11:22Speaker 3: on that app alone. Wow Wow, Okay, thank you for
- 11:29Speaker 3: downloading the out of Bounds Radio app. We would like
- 11:32Speaker 3: for you to do it if you have not, that
- 11:34Speaker 3: way you can listen to the show and you don't
- 11:36Speaker 3: have to be I mean, we'd love for you listening
- 11:39Speaker 3: on one O, five to nine to the zone in
- 11:40Speaker 3: the radio. But when you're not, you got the out
- 11:44Speaker 3: of Bounds Radio app right there on your phone and
- 11:47Speaker 3: it's free bow, bounce, straight funk with you. We're we're
- 11:52Speaker 3: rolling here summer. It's a summer party. Next week is
- 11:56Speaker 3: SEC Media Days. Bar two will come in town and
- 12:01Speaker 3: I think we're gonna have a launch here and invite
- 12:04Speaker 3: maybe fifteen people. We'll take him to dinner Monday night. Tuesday,
- 12:11Speaker 3: we'll do the show in here, which will be great
- 12:14Speaker 3: content cut ups. Our YouTube channel is already on fire hell,
- 12:19Speaker 3: Steve Das was on fire Michigan Insider yesterday. We had
- 12:26Speaker 3: like sixty comments from Michigan Wolverine fans on our YouTube
- 12:30Speaker 3: channel out of Bound Sports. But then, you know, we'll
- 12:34Speaker 3: do the show here. Then we'll drive to Pearl River
- 12:38Speaker 3: Resort Bar two and I will have rebbis at philipp
- 12:43Speaker 3: Ems and then we'll do the show on Wednesday, and
- 12:48Speaker 3: we may add an hour because it sounds like Pearl
- 12:50Speaker 3: River Resort wants to do that, which I mean, I
- 12:54Speaker 3: can do five in my sleep right now today without
- 12:56Speaker 3: bar two. Yeah, of course we can do another hour,
- 12:59Speaker 3: right I mean, you got other hosts that struggle to
- 13:02Speaker 3: get to a segment. You want to do five hours.
- 13:05Speaker 2: We do five hours.
- 13:05Speaker 3: We've done it, We've done seven. You know, there were
- 13:08Speaker 3: a few times when we did seven am to noon
- 13:11Speaker 3: at the Sportsbook, which was wild. Ron would be like,
- 13:16Speaker 3: you want to do an extended show. Yes, let's do it.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Let's just keep keep creating content. I did get a
- 13:24Speaker 3: question on the Noine game SEC schedule. Y'all it's gonna
- 13:29Speaker 3: be different. I mean, starting this year, it's gonna be
- 13:33Speaker 3: totally different. I know a lot of you don't believe it,
- 13:36Speaker 3: and that's fine, but uh, more losses are coming. None
- 13:41Speaker 3: of I don't care what you did last year or
- 13:44Speaker 3: the year before. More losses are coming for everybody. It's
- 13:49Speaker 3: just we're gonna have to kind of start to wire
- 13:53Speaker 3: in some kind of NFL chip into our crazy SEC
- 13:58Speaker 3: brain where we've been wrong about most everything. But that's
- 14:02Speaker 3: all of us as sports fans, but you know we're
- 14:04Speaker 3: we're gonna have to go oh and god knows the
- 14:07Speaker 3: people who are losing. I don't know what you're gonna do. Kentucky,
- 14:10Speaker 3: Mississippi State and Arkansas, you better get you back together fast.
- 14:14Speaker 3: You got a nine game conference. You know, you've been
- 14:16Speaker 3: tripping all over your you know what and making it
- 14:20Speaker 3: way harder than it is show, So now you have
- 14:25Speaker 3: to Auburn's been, you know, below the poverty line. Well,
- 14:31Speaker 3: they've kind of been in no man's land, which sometimes
- 14:34Speaker 3: is even worse because you know they they've been right
- 14:38Speaker 3: at the door, competitive but can't win and lose games
- 14:44Speaker 3: in the fourth quarter. But you know, Kentucky and Arkansas
- 14:51Speaker 3: and Mississippi State have gone through a stretch where it's embarrassing.
- 14:54Speaker 3: I mean it's embarrassing. Yeah, your fans should should have
- 14:59Speaker 3: been being riot stage, but you don't have the commitment
- 15:02Speaker 3: quote shit that other schools in the league have. I
- 15:06Speaker 3: thought Arkansas did, and they may look again. I did
- 15:10Speaker 3: this show last Thursday when I was somewhere on remote.
- 15:12Speaker 3: I know where I was. I don't know where was
- 15:16Speaker 3: I last Thursdays. Oh the coach, thank you. I was
- 15:19Speaker 3: like I wasn't in Startville. I was in Startville yesterday.
- 15:22Speaker 3: I can't remember where I'm going. Ah, guy, Okay, But
- 15:26Speaker 3: but I made this point last week, and we got
- 15:29Speaker 3: a lot of feedback because last Thursday's show, if you
- 15:33Speaker 3: want to go grab it on Spotify, it's not on video.
- 15:36Speaker 3: Last Thursday's show was three hours of SEC football. But
- 15:41Speaker 3: I went into the Arkansas thing about I mean, they
- 15:46Speaker 3: can pay one hundred million dollars for a roster out
- 15:49Speaker 3: of their shoe box money. I mean teams like Arkansas,
- 15:55Speaker 3: Mississippi State, and Kentucky. You know, it's it's not money,
- 16:01Speaker 3: that's not the reason. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
- 16:04Speaker 3: I can't even have a conversation with somebody about that.
- 16:09Speaker 3: It's not money. It's competence or incompetence. Yeah, and not
- 16:15Speaker 3: having the right people doing the right stuff. You know,
- 16:19Speaker 3: I mean leadership, big time coaches, athletic directors, they make
- 16:24Speaker 3: stuff happen. And you know Greg Burns and Keith Carter's
- 16:29Speaker 3: and Lane Kiffin's and Dan Mullins they make stuff happen.
- 16:35Speaker 3: And so Arkansas with five companies up there were you
- 16:42Speaker 3: know whatever, you know, a trillion and a half dollars
- 16:47Speaker 3: so that the razorbacks a little bit of it. They
- 16:52Speaker 3: haven't figured it out even longer than Mississippi State, and well, hell,
- 16:56Speaker 3: even Kentucky's had a little bit of success on her stoops.
- 16:59Speaker 3: I know they fired him to hire some guy we're
- 17:00Speaker 3: not even sure is really real. His name's Will Stein.
- 17:04Speaker 3: So they claim we're gonna see if he's gonna go
- 17:06Speaker 3: to the podium next week and put people to sleep. Yeah,
- 17:09Speaker 3: kind of like Levy and Silverfield and who knows. I
- 17:13Speaker 3: don't know though, you know, Ryan Silverfield may have.
- 17:18Speaker 1: You know, he.
- 17:20Speaker 3: First of all, he's got several years head coaching experience. Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 3: and he won at Memphis, and I know Norbell won
- 17:32Speaker 3: and some others have won through Memphis over the years.
- 17:35Speaker 3: They've been pretty pretty scrappy.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Even Tommy West won a little bit at Memphis. That
- 17:44Speaker 3: was I think his name was Tommy West. He looked
- 17:47Speaker 3: like a former rural juco football player, Yeah, who was
- 17:56Speaker 3: like a cattle farmer. Yeah, you got him. Yeah, it
- 18:02Speaker 3: is Tommy West. Okay, uh. And he was there when
- 18:05Speaker 3: they had no money and he won like in the
- 18:08Speaker 3: early two thousands. It's like, oh, one three five is
- 18:11Speaker 3: somewhere there. He was there from he took the reins
- 18:14Speaker 3: and won and ended. Now, okay, I remember his parting
- 18:19Speaker 3: press conference about how if they want to win, they
- 18:25Speaker 3: got to support the next guy. In other words, I
- 18:28Speaker 3: was able to win with Yeah, I was able to
- 18:32Speaker 3: win with u'sed gauls pad and some used band aids
- 18:37Speaker 3: like Jackie Cheryl did it Mississippi State or Billy Brewer
- 18:40Speaker 3: did it Old miss Again. This is a different era,
- 18:42Speaker 3: right before TV contracts really pump in. Oh my gosh,
- 18:49Speaker 3: it's National Mac and Cheese Day, Burgers Blues Barbecue, Dogwood Flowood.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, their mac and cheese is so good
- 18:59Speaker 3: it is. And two Brothers pork belly mac and Cheese.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I'm in Barton Deacon's two Brothers, starfle grab it with
- 19:08Speaker 3: some street tacos.
- 19:10Speaker 2: See in a minute. Why is there air?
- 20:07Speaker 3: Here? We go SEC Insider hit this morning on the
- 20:12Speaker 3: out of Bound Show one oh five nine. The Zone
- 20:17Speaker 3: ESPN is brought to you by Blue Cross, Blue Shield
- 20:21Speaker 3: of Mississippi. It's good to be blue, the official healthcare
- 20:25Speaker 3: provider of the out of Bound Show. Blue Cross, Blue
- 20:28Speaker 3: Shield of Mississippi. All right, we're streaming live on the
- 20:33Speaker 3: Out of Bounds Radio app. You can watch the show
- 20:36Speaker 3: right now on YouTube. The YouTube channel that Jackson Meadows
- 20:42Speaker 3: has totally revamped is out of Bounds Sports. That's where
- 20:49Speaker 3: you can find us you want to watch it. I'm
- 20:52Speaker 3: wearing my new Los Angeles Chargers. I didn't even mean
- 20:56Speaker 3: I didn't even think about that with Harball when I
- 20:58Speaker 3: grabbed it this morning. I may have an Elijah Craig
- 21:01Speaker 3: pull over or Tito's pull over in one of the
- 21:04Speaker 3: rooms in the back, but I am wearing my brand
- 21:10Speaker 3: new Los Angeles Chargers hoodie because Eric Coriol, Dan Fouts
- 21:21Speaker 3: and Kellen Winslow Sr. Were legends and you know it
- 21:26Speaker 3: and I know it. So we'll just go ahead and
- 21:29Speaker 3: get that, you know, set settled and off everybody's plate
- 21:35Speaker 3: or chest. All right, bo bounce straight funk with you. Uh,
- 21:40Speaker 3: we've got Juice Kiffen on the set. Still you haven't
- 21:45Speaker 3: broken him. No, you broke the other two bible heads.
- 21:48Speaker 3: You broke Lane. You broke Lane, which was disappointed, and
- 21:55Speaker 3: you broke Snitker. Oh yeah, so you you you broke
- 22:00Speaker 3: the the Snitker bibble which I can't get another one
- 22:04Speaker 3: because it was Embraves. It was supposed to be a collectible.
- 22:07Speaker 3: So you broke that, and then you broke the lane
- 22:10Speaker 3: Kiff and bobble head doll that we've had for several
- 22:12Speaker 3: years on the set. We've got a couple of out
- 22:18Speaker 3: of bounds and Whiskey sixty one hats on the set
- 22:22Speaker 3: and it broke, and a Tito's Vodka helm football helmet,
- 22:27Speaker 3: so I think it's a pretty it's a pretty cool deal.
- 22:30Speaker 3: And Fuse dot cloud helmet and the fiber to this
- 22:36Speaker 3: studio is powered by our friends at Fuse dot Cloud
- 22:40Speaker 3: f U s E. That's right, the fiber to this
- 22:44Speaker 3: studio is powered by Fuse dot Cloud. They're awesome. I
- 22:48Speaker 3: see they've gotten American flag on the back of their helmet.
- 22:53Speaker 3: I like that too. Fuse dot Cloud, f U s E.
- 22:56Speaker 3: They're local, They're awesome to deal with. A great company,

- 23:04Speaker 3: great story, fusc fus dot cloud. All right, so we
- 23:09Speaker 3: would like to hear from you. We need we need
- 23:11Speaker 3: a roll call. I don't know if we got enough
- 23:14Speaker 3: predictions yesterday, so I'll just keep throwing it out throughout
- 23:17Speaker 3: the summer. I'd like to know who you think will
- 23:19Speaker 3: win the SEC, and who you think will win the
- 23:21Speaker 3: national Championship. I'll throw in two rounds of golf to
- 23:25Speaker 3: Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, an out of bounds hat, and
- 23:31Speaker 3: we'll do some more bars. Oh my god, we've got
- 23:32Speaker 3: so much s baalone stuff it's crazy. So we can
- 23:37Speaker 3: throw in a little barswag bar kit for the out
- 23:40Speaker 3: of Bounds prize pack giveaway. But we'd like to know
- 23:43Speaker 3: three things. As you know, how are you listening one
- 23:46Speaker 3: oh five nine the zone or streaming? That's one. Question
- 23:51Speaker 3: number two is where are you listening from? And question
- 23:55Speaker 3: three you can go either way or both. Who will
- 23:58Speaker 3: win the SEC, who will win the national title? Who
- 24:01Speaker 3: will win the SEC? Who will win the national title?
- 24:04Speaker 3: The text line that we hope you put in your
- 24:06Speaker 3: phone so that you can always enter to possibly win
- 24:10Speaker 3: is six to oh one eight eight five three seven
- 24:14Speaker 3: seven six six one eight eight five three seven seven six.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I like Georgia, and I like I like them to
- 24:27Speaker 3: be able to manage their schedule. I mean, they got
- 24:33Speaker 3: two brutal road games at Bama and at Ole Miss,
- 24:35Speaker 3: but then they got a lot of stuff that they
- 24:37Speaker 3: can definitely manage, right, I mean, if they can get
- 24:41Speaker 3: one of those two road games, okay, and then they
- 24:45Speaker 3: just drop one more. They go ten and two. They're good. Now,
- 24:50Speaker 3: I don't know how many ten and two teams we're
- 24:51Speaker 3: gonna have this year. I just with the nine game schedule,
- 24:59Speaker 3: I don't expect e to go eleven in one, and
- 25:02Speaker 3: I'm not sure how many will have go ten and two.
- 25:08Speaker 3: I think it's going to be few and far between.
- 25:10Speaker 3: And then I think we'll have several that are in
- 25:12Speaker 3: that eight and four to nine in three space, but
- 25:15Speaker 3: that's not going to be enough to get it in.
- 25:16Speaker 3: It will get you in as soon as they expand
- 25:20Speaker 3: the playoff. But this year is going to be a
- 25:22Speaker 3: weird year. I don't know how it's going to look
- 25:25Speaker 3: for Sankee and the SEC, and with Notre Dame having
- 25:29Speaker 3: a cake walk and supposed to be good, I'm just
- 25:33Speaker 3: not I don't know if I love that. And they're
- 25:37Speaker 3: still letting G five, G six teams in, which makes
- 25:40Speaker 3: no sense to me. And of course we had two
- 25:43Speaker 3: in last year who had no business being in the
- 25:45Speaker 3: college football playoff Lane two Lane and James Madison. And
- 25:49Speaker 3: what I'm saying when I say that is I don't
- 25:51Speaker 3: take anything away from their coaches players and the season
- 25:54Speaker 3: they had, they just need to be in a final
- 25:57Speaker 3: four for the G five. I mean, let's get straight
- 25:59Speaker 3: to it. Semi final, two semi final games that'll have
- 26:02Speaker 3: some spice and pop, and then let's do a championship
- 26:06Speaker 3: game boom, and let's let's do all that. But I
- 26:12Speaker 3: you know, that's another question. How many now that we're
- 26:15Speaker 3: going from eight games to non conference games, how many
- 26:20Speaker 3: teams do you think will make it from the SEC?
- 26:23Speaker 3: Because I don't think anybody's going eleven and one and
- 26:26Speaker 3: if we have one, maybe two go ten and two.
- 26:34Speaker 3: I mean, unless you think y'all, unless y'all think there's
- 26:36Speaker 3: gonna be a run of ten and two teams, I
- 26:38Speaker 3: don't see it. So now we're we've backed ourselves into
- 26:42Speaker 3: a corner of possibly getting one team in outside of
- 26:45Speaker 3: what we have been doing. Okay, bold move. I mean Oklahoma,
- 26:51Speaker 3: who was very pedestrian, won it last year. I mean
- 26:54Speaker 3: I got in last year. You know Tennessee the year before,
- 27:02Speaker 3: who was very pedestrian, he got in the year before.
- 27:09Speaker 3: I mean you didn't see a lot of pop and sizzle. Okay,
- 27:13Speaker 3: that's just where we are the dominant teams of Alabama Georgia,
- 27:17Speaker 3: Florida under Urban, Ohio, state under urban some others. Dabba.
- 27:24Speaker 3: I mean he had two phenomenal, four really really good
- 27:27Speaker 3: teams too that won the championship. I just think that
- 27:31Speaker 3: that deal is has sailed. So we've got a seven
- 27:36Speaker 3: sixty nine area code on the Dancing Rabbit Golf text
- 27:39Speaker 3: line six oh one eight eight five three seven seven six.
- 27:44Speaker 3: I love this. He's listing on one oh five nine
- 27:47Speaker 3: to the zone. He's driving to Vicksburg, and he just
- 27:51Speaker 3: I just threw Oklahoma under the bus, and he said,
- 27:54Speaker 3: Boomer sooner, Natty, Uh, sorry, buddy, I didn't mean to
- 27:58Speaker 3: throw your Brian Bosworth. You're you're fighting Brian Bosworth's under
- 28:02Speaker 3: the uh under the bus.
- 28:04Speaker 2: You know.
- 28:04Speaker 3: When I was in uh junior high seventh grade, I
- 28:09Speaker 3: guess Bosworth was the thing. And the seniors at my
- 28:14Speaker 3: school all got Bo's haircuts when I was yeah, and
- 28:21Speaker 3: Bozz also colored his hair on the sides where he
- 28:26Speaker 3: shaved it, or he would shave it, then there'd be hair,
- 28:28Speaker 3: then he'd shave it, then the be hair, and then
- 28:30Speaker 3: he had not. Really, it was kind of a how
- 28:33Speaker 3: would y'all describe it? It was kind of a mohawk
- 28:35Speaker 3: mohawk tail. Yeah, uh wanted to be a mullet. Yeah,
- 28:40Speaker 3: it wasn't, but it was. It wasn't a mullet. It
- 28:42Speaker 3: was like a a mohawk mullet. Yeah, which I don't
- 28:46Speaker 3: know what we could call that mo Let me write
- 28:48Speaker 3: that down. Mohawk mullet. Very very it's kind of kind
- 28:58Speaker 3: of a right right of passage in rural America and
- 29:01Speaker 3: travel ball for your eight or nine year old or
- 29:04Speaker 3: ten year old to have that kind of that haircut.
- 29:07Speaker 3: And yeah, he was while you're you're you're in one
- 29:11Speaker 3: hundred and forty seven degree heat playing four baseball games
- 29:14Speaker 3: in a day. Drug Dog says, you can call it
- 29:19Speaker 3: the Clinton cut. He just took a shot at your
- 29:23Speaker 3: and it's early. He just took a shot at your
- 29:27Speaker 3: at your hometown. Yeah, I thought he was talking about Bill.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Let's say Bill did have a fade. Well, I mean it,
- 29:35Speaker 3: what would the would the mohawk mullet be a haircut
- 29:39Speaker 3: that you would see in Clinton? I would I would
- 29:41Speaker 3: have rocked it. You would have rocked I would have
- 29:42Speaker 3: killed it. Okay, all right, I don't know about all
- 29:45Speaker 3: the you know, the the graffiti in the side of
- 29:47Speaker 3: the head. He's got all kinds of designs and shapes,
- 29:51Speaker 3: and that is you know, part of the course. Now
- 29:53Speaker 3: at travel ball tournaments, everybody they got the number, oh
- 29:58Speaker 3: do they? So now if you're not umber seven, it's
- 30:01Speaker 3: it's it's shaved in your head. Okay, head, all right,
- 30:05Speaker 3: we're doing that a long time ago. But he was
- 30:08Speaker 3: doing it way before us. Boz ran college football for
- 30:13Speaker 3: for his junior and senior year. Yeah, and it's it's
- 30:17Speaker 3: almost impossible for us to wrap our brain around the
- 30:21Speaker 3: fact that two defensive players were the biggest stars in
- 30:26Speaker 3: the eighties, Brian Bosworth and Dion Sanders. They were the
- 30:30Speaker 3: biggest personalities and they were on the defensive side. Now
- 30:34Speaker 3: they we don't even let them get any oxygen in
- 30:36Speaker 3: the room. I mean, it's all offense. Quarterbacks absolutely dominate
- 30:41Speaker 3: this show. They dominate the big topics. It's qb ones
- 30:44Speaker 3: and then you mix in some wide receivers and that
- 30:48Speaker 3: you could not have that today. I mean, Charles Woodson
- 30:51Speaker 3: tried to be a star, but he didn't have He's
- 30:55Speaker 3: a great player. Yeah, okay, great player, yeah, you know,
- 30:59Speaker 3: better than by at the pro level. Obviously, Dion's a
- 31:02Speaker 3: Hall of Famer too. But Charles Woodson, and if you've
- 31:05Speaker 3: listened to show, he's my favorite defensive player the last
- 31:08Speaker 3: twenty or so years in the in the NFL. But
- 31:12Speaker 3: he didn't have that pop in interviews. He's got a
- 31:17Speaker 3: great personality now, but he just Biaz and Dion could
- 31:22Speaker 3: find a microphone. Oh yeah, he didn't really, Charles Woodson
- 31:26Speaker 3: didn't run to find a microphone. And he was a
- 31:29Speaker 3: phenomenal player. They let him play two ways that year.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Blah blah blah. Everybody got especially the Midwest Northeast media
- 31:37Speaker 3: got all I mean they swooned, got hot and bothered
- 31:41Speaker 3: over it. Blah blah blah. And that was the last
- 31:44Speaker 3: few years of them dominating kind of the narrative, and
- 31:49Speaker 3: all the big newspapers were still up there. And so
- 31:53Speaker 3: you know, again he won the Heisman over Peyton Manning.
- 31:57Speaker 3: That would never happen today. Oh okay, because of the
- 32:00Speaker 3: ship in power and population and in the sun Belt
- 32:06Speaker 3: and ever we have access to phones and twenty four
- 32:11Speaker 3: to seven sports and sports talk radio and so on.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Just mentioned nineteen eighties defensive players and left somebody out,
- 32:19Speaker 3: Derrick Thomas LT. Well, he nobody talks about LT at
- 32:23Speaker 3: North Carolina okay, yes, no, no, no, nobody talked about
- 32:27Speaker 3: Lawrence Taylor until he got paired up with Belichick and
- 32:31Speaker 3: Bill Parcells with the New York Johns. North Carolina during
- 32:34Speaker 3: that time was all Michael Jordan, Dean Look, Michael Jordan,
- 32:38Speaker 3: James Worthy, and Dean Smith. That was the There was
- 32:41Speaker 3: no more oxygen in the room to even think about
- 32:45Speaker 3: six sixty five hundred people went to football games a
- 32:48Speaker 3: dated care they was he I mean, was he that
- 32:52Speaker 3: good in college? I don't remember North Carolina. I never
- 32:55Speaker 3: watched North Carolina football in the in the eighties. I
- 32:59Speaker 3: watched North Carolina on a basketball sure because of Dean Smith.
- 33:04Speaker 3: And again all those guys who who went through like
- 33:07Speaker 3: Perkins and Jordan and Worthy and Dordery and you know, Jr.
- 33:12Speaker 3: Reid was supposed to be the greatest thing ever and
- 33:15Speaker 3: he ended up being. You know, he was kind of
- 33:17Speaker 3: like Kenny sky Walker. Those are the two recruits for
- 33:20Speaker 3: me in the eighties that signed with Blue Bloods. But
- 33:22Speaker 3: they were not.
- 33:25Speaker 2: I mean good.
- 33:26Speaker 3: They're very good players. They're pretty good players, yeah, but
- 33:29Speaker 3: but didn't have that, you know, didn't have close to
- 33:33Speaker 3: the drive of some of these other guys. I think
- 33:37Speaker 3: they were. They were also part of that first movement
- 33:40Speaker 3: of telling players how awesome they were. Yes, and they
- 33:45Speaker 3: came after the stars had already set the table at
- 33:48Speaker 3: Kentucky and North Carolina. And maybe they they just I
- 33:53Speaker 3: don't think that they had the doll. You know, Jordan
- 33:55Speaker 3: woke up every morning and thought somebody was talking about
- 33:59Speaker 3: his game, right, and and he believed that for somehow
- 34:04Speaker 3: he Brady did the same thing. But he wired his
- 34:07Speaker 3: brain to think that he could lose his spot in
- 34:10Speaker 3: the starting lineup. So he was at the gym before
- 34:13Speaker 3: everybody and stayed long after. Uh, Kenny sky Walker at
- 34:18Speaker 3: Kentucky and JR. Reid at North Carolina did not have
- 34:21Speaker 3: that dog. They did not have that Jake mngam in them. No, no, no, no.
- 34:28Speaker 1: So.
- 34:29Speaker 3: But but to answer your question on Lawrence Taylor, nobody
- 34:33Speaker 3: was talking about him at North Carolina. They were talking
- 34:36Speaker 3: about Brian Bosworth and Deon Sanders. Yeah, and Derek Thomas.
- 34:40Speaker 3: In the eighties, those guys were were and Dion and
- 34:45Speaker 3: Boz were big personalities. Derek was was not that that
- 34:48Speaker 3: wasn't how Bama was was wired to. Yeah, that they
- 34:54Speaker 3: weren't going to push out a player like that. This
- 34:57Speaker 3: is more of a conservative way at that time, publicizing
- 35:04Speaker 3: or not publicizing their players. However, you want to look
- 35:07Speaker 3: at it, right, Yeah, yeah, I'm glad we went down
- 35:11Speaker 3: that that road though. That was that was fun. Uh wow?
- 35:17Speaker 1: J R.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Reid and Kenny Skywalker. Mm hmmm. LT played in four
- 35:22Speaker 3: ball games. Do you want to hear the ball games
- 35:24Speaker 3: they won? All right, let me guess. Hold on, god,
- 35:28Speaker 3: there weren't many back then, right nineteen seventy seven through.
- 35:33Speaker 3: They did win the blue Bonnet Ball in nineteen eighty. Okay.
- 35:36Speaker 3: I always got cracked up at that as a kid
- 35:40Speaker 3: because I was like, there's a blue Bonnet Bowl, Like,
- 35:42Speaker 3: you know, I'd be like eight years old. Huh, I don't.
- 35:45Speaker 3: I don't even know what it is. It may be butter.
- 35:50Speaker 3: That's a great question. I have no idea think aveball?
- 35:53Speaker 3: Oh God? Is it?
- 35:55Speaker 2: So?
- 35:55Speaker 3: That's when they started killing people in nineteen eighty when
- 35:58Speaker 3: big food took over? I guess so? Oh lord, ye
- 36:01Speaker 3: is it really?
- 36:03Speaker 2: All right?
- 36:03Speaker 3: Let me guess some other balls? All right, blue Bonnet,
- 36:08Speaker 3: there's liberty or peach? Okay, liberty for sure. Okay, Uh,
- 36:13Speaker 3: there's one more. I think you got Hall of Fame
- 36:18Speaker 3: Bowl in Birmingham. No, all right, Hey was that the
- 36:22Speaker 3: East West Shrine Bowl? No, the Hall of Fame Bowl
- 36:25Speaker 3: was actually like a bawlga. Mississippi State played Kansas in
- 36:27Speaker 3: it in nineteen eighty one. It was an actual yeah okay, yeah,
- 36:32Speaker 3: Bonding them went in eighty one. Uh that'd be John Bond, right,
- 36:38Speaker 3: top four quarterback in Mississippi State. Uh, okay, blue Bonnet Bowl,
- 36:45Speaker 3: Liberty Bowl. Did they go to the sun Ball? No,
- 36:50Speaker 3: it was here on the right train. They went to
- 36:52Speaker 3: one of your this I think this is one of
- 36:53Speaker 3: your favorite cities.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Say the Peach.
- 36:55Speaker 3: You did say the peach? No peach, Okay, no peach?
- 36:57Speaker 3: All right?
- 36:58Speaker 2: Umm.
- 37:00Speaker 3: I can't even think of that many bowls other than
- 37:03Speaker 3: the you know, the big ones, the Sugar and the
- 37:05Speaker 3: Rose and the Orange and the I don't even know
- 37:07Speaker 3: if we had the Fiesta yet, that the little bowls
- 37:11Speaker 3: like Liberty, blue Bonnet, Hall of Fame, Sun Bowl. Uh
- 37:19Speaker 3: given to me gata. Oh, I can't believe I was waiting.
- 37:23Speaker 3: I was in no way you forget this. Oh yeah,
- 37:25Speaker 3: Gator Bowl. I mean Mississippi State went like three times
- 37:28Speaker 3: in six years. Okay, that's a good bowl. I went.
- 37:31Speaker 3: I went the first year they went to the to
- 37:33Speaker 3: the when they played Michigan. Speaking of this, you know,
- 37:38Speaker 3: we were talking about the scandal earlier and hardball and
- 37:41Speaker 3: Sharon Moore and Ward Manuel and who who if Ward
- 37:44Speaker 3: Manuel is going to get fired at Michigan.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Uh.
- 37:48Speaker 3: I went to the Gator Bowl yet, But then we
- 37:49Speaker 3: went Bartwo and I went back a few years later
- 37:52Speaker 3: to the Florida Georgia cocktail party. As I've talked about,
- 37:55Speaker 3: that's that's actually a lot more. I had such low xs.
- 38:00Speaker 3: I was happy that we were going. I was gonna
- 38:03Speaker 3: hang out with Bar two. We're gonna have some beverages,
- 38:05Speaker 3: have fun either way. But I did not know that
- 38:09Speaker 3: that game is that much fun. I mean the Florida
- 38:15Speaker 3: Georgia game, the cocktail party in a neutral field. I
- 38:18Speaker 3: just thought, nah, because I'd already been down there, and
- 38:21Speaker 3: I was like, I don't see it, and hell hell
- 38:25Speaker 3: to the yes. They they know how to separate all
- 38:30Speaker 3: those parking lots because NFL is not great. You know,
- 38:33Speaker 3: We're used to the junction and the grove and some
- 38:36Speaker 3: other places of grass and trees and tailgating, right, and
- 38:42Speaker 3: that's not how it is at NFL stadiums, as you know,
- 38:44Speaker 3: they tailgate on asphalt and concrete or whatever pavement and uh.
- 38:51Speaker 3: But the fact that they it's a Georgia than a Florida,
- 38:54Speaker 3: than a Georgia than of Florida all the way around
- 38:57Speaker 3: the stadium is really cool. So lt went to four
- 39:01Speaker 3: Bowl that was like unheard of. At North Carolina, they
- 39:04Speaker 3: were bowling back then, I guess many. And it sounds
- 39:07Speaker 3: like he wasn't what he was. He was at North
- 39:10Speaker 3: Carolina in the seventies, right right up until I mean
- 39:13Speaker 3: he was seventy seven, eight nine, ninety. I'm sorry, let's
- 39:16Speaker 3: gip that. Seventy seven, okay, eighty one he was on
- 39:21Speaker 3: eighty one. He was by the Jiants. Yeah, he was
- 39:23Speaker 3: Rookie of the Year defensive player.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Good grief.
- 39:26Speaker 3: And then they go and get Parcels and Belichick and
- 39:29Speaker 3: they find the magic and win two Super Bowls. He
- 39:31Speaker 3: won Defensive Player of the Year like three four times. Well, dude,
- 39:34Speaker 3: he's an MVP. I mean, he's unbelievable. That might be
- 39:40Speaker 3: one of the most dominant decades ever. Well, I think
- 39:44Speaker 3: he's a top I don't think he is a top five.
- 39:48Speaker 3: Most dominant defensive player in the history of the NFL.
- 39:51Speaker 3: I mean, you can go where you want to go,
- 39:53Speaker 3: but he's in it right and if you if you can,
- 39:56Speaker 3: if you only have four, he's still on the mount rushmore. Yes,
- 39:59Speaker 3: he makes the cut. Now, whoever else you want to
- 40:01Speaker 3: put on theirs is fine. But he's the one that
- 40:05Speaker 3: they wrote the book. He's the one when they decided
- 40:08Speaker 3: to make him an edge rusher. He made the left
- 40:10Speaker 3: tackle position millions of dollars, which then years later filtered
- 40:15Speaker 3: over to the right tackle position. I mean, that's how
- 40:18Speaker 3: it started off. The parcels Belichick, Lawrence Taylor, which then
- 40:24Speaker 3: made Bill Walsh counter, which then made the price of
- 40:27Speaker 3: the left tackle go up, which then another twenty years
- 40:30Speaker 3: later made the price of the right tackle go up. Yeah,
- 40:35Speaker 3: micro micro both. Okay, could you imagine the Beatles playing
- 40:40Speaker 3: that Gator Bull Stadium? Oh my god, when did they
- 40:43Speaker 3: do that? Like nineteen sixty nine to sixty four.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Okay, the day after Dora struck Hurricane Dora, twenty three
- 40:50Speaker 4: thousand fans still attended. Good Lord, the bunch wanted to
- 40:54Speaker 4: see the Beatles. God Urricane Jacksonville.
- 40:58Speaker 3: That was a no power nothing, and that was a
- 41:02Speaker 3: rural area in nineteen sixty four. I mean it's a
- 41:05Speaker 3: cool little beach bay town, now, sure, and it's got
- 41:09Speaker 3: some you know, it's got a vibe. And of course
- 41:12Speaker 3: TPC and people go crazy over the golf and the
- 41:14Speaker 3: water and water is always going to attract wealth and beauty.
- 41:20Speaker 3: And wow, okay, how much how much you think the
- 41:23Speaker 3: tickets were? Oh god to the Beatles in nineteen sixty four,
- 41:29Speaker 3: thirteen dollars four and five dollars. Damn, that's incredible, Jackson.
- 41:36Speaker 3: The Beatles played in Jacksonville, Florida, twenty three thousand of them. Wow.
- 41:43Speaker 3: And all of Saint Augustine and Jacksonville were without electricity
- 41:46Speaker 3: and power it wasn't restored for several days. Oh, oh
- 41:50Speaker 3: my god, we go crazy if we don't, if we
- 41:53Speaker 3: lose power for three hours? Now are the way we
- 41:57Speaker 3: all are blessed to live? Hey, somebody's mad on the
- 42:01Speaker 3: text line dancing rabbit golf text line in a fun way. Hey,
- 42:05Speaker 3: bo and Jackson. The blue bonnet is the Texas State Flower.
- 42:09Speaker 3: A lot of offended Texans right now.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Lol.
- 42:11Speaker 3: Yeah, but they didn't sponsor a Bowl game with the flower.
- 42:14Speaker 3: I don't know what they did, but uh, maxmus asked
- 42:20Speaker 3: is straight funk wearing navy and black again, because when
- 42:25Speaker 3: he saw us a taste Italian kitchen for launch a
- 42:29Speaker 3: couple of weeks ago, you were wearing navy and black.
- 42:32Speaker 3: It matches, it really does. Let's call Luke Avenue at
- 42:37Speaker 3: the Rogueman's store right now, get him on the phone.
- 42:40Speaker 3: They've got their big summer sale bam, and they got
- 42:44Speaker 3: cool Peter Malar stuff, Jack Victor, sport coach, Baby, good
- 42:49Speaker 3: looking shorts. You may need. You got an engagement party
- 42:52Speaker 3: coming up, you need upgrade. The calls of guys, okay,
- 42:57Speaker 3: get your button down, get some pants, Wolf and Shepherd's
- 42:59Speaker 3: Shoe Use all powered by the Roguemen's Store in Jackson,
- 43:03Speaker 3: right by Highland Village m
