- 1:49Speaker 2: the Treehouse Show. Coming up on the show today, a
- 1:56Speaker 2: dead giveaway that a relationship will end. Don't ever exclude
- 2:02Speaker 2: the wife. Shot over a cat, a really hot threesome,
- 2:10Speaker 2: and a severe tip of the hat from us inside
- 2:13Speaker 2: the treehouse. That's all hopefully coming up today inside the treehouse,
- 2:18Speaker 2: depending on how this thing goes. I say that because
- 2:22Speaker 2: we're starting with a big one. Or maybe the opposite.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Would you die for a bigger cat? eggplant would you
- 2:37Speaker 2: die for a bigger schlong wiener uh pain dispenser whatever
- 2:45Speaker 2: whatever name you call it uh penis yes i i
- 2:48Speaker 2: have questions i like how you you've already got qualifications
- 2:54Speaker 2: like you're like you're already reasoning through this like well
- 2:57Speaker 2: i don't know let's Let's hear this out. I mean,
- 3:00Speaker 2: there might be some good options in here. What are
- 3:02Speaker 2: your questions, Jerry, on whether or not, which to me
- 3:06Speaker 2: sounds like a really easy would you die trying to
- 3:09Speaker 2: get a bigger week?
- 3:10Speaker 1: Okay, I think you maybe need to rephrase this just
- 3:14Speaker 1: a hair, which is would you put your life at
- 3:18Speaker 1: risk for a bigger....
- 3:23Speaker 2: Okay, fine. Would you put your life at risk... for
- 3:28Speaker 2: a bigger.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Like, and let's say, let's say a 25% chance of death.
- 3:31Speaker 3: 25% chance. Those are pretty good odds.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Those are good odds, which means one in four, you
- 3:40Speaker 2: could die. So Jerry, what are your qualifying questions to answer?
- 3:45Speaker 2: The ultimate question, would you put your life at risk
- 3:49Speaker 2: to get a bigger weenie? I think I just got
- 3:53Speaker 2: them answered. That was it.
- 3:55Speaker 3: That, I am ready to make my ruling, yes.
- 3:57Speaker 2: All right. What are you going to do?
- 4:04Speaker 3: I'm good. I'll pass.
- 4:08Speaker 2: At what percentage would you be like, all right, let's
- 4:13Speaker 2: roll the dice and see what happens?
- 4:21Speaker 3: You know, if I really felt like I needed a
- 4:23Speaker 3: bigger one, 25% would be more than acceptable.
- 4:28Speaker 2: So the only qualifying question i would have in this
- 4:31Speaker 2: scenario is if i'm that michael phillips guy who says
- 4:36Speaker 2: like he's the one that has come out and said
- 4:38Speaker 2: i have the tiniest weenie on the planet i have
- 4:41Speaker 2: the micro penis syndrome and he's got the worst of
- 4:44Speaker 2: anybody apparently and he's going through an operation or procedure
- 4:50Speaker 2: whatever to make it a marginally bigger it's really not
- 4:54Speaker 2: even going to be that big of a difference but
- 4:56Speaker 2: anyway if i had a micro thing i think i
- 5:02Speaker 2: would absolutely roll the dice i might even go as
- 5:06Speaker 2: high as 50 50 i mean because i mean you
- 5:08Speaker 2: talked about your quality of life and everything not just
- 5:11Speaker 2: confidence and emotionally but physically this is a guy that
- 5:14Speaker 2: has to wear diapers and stuff because he can't do
- 5:17Speaker 2: normal daily function things so Look, at a certain point,
- 5:20Speaker 2: if a doctor came to me and said, yes, I
- 5:24Speaker 2: can take you to average, and if you were on
- 5:28Speaker 2: the micro scale, I'd be like, let's go.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Thankfully, I'm not that guy. So I don't know at
- 5:38Speaker 2: what percentage I would ever consider putting my life on
- 5:41Speaker 2: the line just to add an inch or so. Trey,
- 5:47Speaker 2: where do you fall on this?
- 5:51Speaker 3: I mean.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Spoken like a man, that's got something.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It would have to be.
- 6:02Speaker 1: You know... Just... Screw it. I want a 12-incher.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Go big or go home. Yeah, you no longer just
- 6:15Speaker 2: want a penis. You want a weapon.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Yeah, that's... I want shock and awe.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I'm going to lay this across the Middle East.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Uh huh Yeah I want the LBJ Yeah Someone asks
- 6:32Speaker 1: you while you're in Vietnam You just slam it on
- 6:34Speaker 1: the desk and go that's.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Why This is my Secretary of State This is the
- 6:40Speaker 2: Secretary of the Interior And the new Department of War
- 6:47Speaker 2: All right there This is not just a random question
- 6:50Speaker 2: I'm posing to you, by the way. There's a source
- 6:53Speaker 2: for this. An influencer died after a penis enlargement surgery
- 7:01Speaker 2: in Thailand went wrong. There's a whole lot that went
- 7:04Speaker 2: wrong in just that headline. First of all, if you're
- 7:11Speaker 2: going to Thailand for medical procedures, you're already rolling some
- 7:14Speaker 2: serious dice, I think. Yeah. So the other thing is, obviously,
- 7:22Speaker 2: influencer is a pretty loose term these days. Basically, it
- 7:26Speaker 2: was a guy from Africa. That's not what his wife said.
- 7:29Speaker 2: What's that? A wealthy influencer died after undergoing penis enlargement
- 7:37Speaker 2: surgery in Thailand.
- 7:39Speaker 1: So is he really wealthy? Because I'm with you. If
- 7:43Speaker 1: you're going to Thailand for your medical procedures, I don't
- 7:47Speaker 1: think you're that wealthy. I agree. I am sure somewhere
- 7:51Speaker 1: on this earth, there is the Michelangelo of penis enlargement.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And he probably runs six figures to even walk through
- 8:02Speaker 1: the door. Oh, yeah.
- 8:04Speaker 2: You can find a plastic surgeon to do almost anything
- 8:07Speaker 2: these days. Did you guys see that photo of Clay
- 8:10Speaker 2: Matthews on TMZ the other day?
- 8:13Speaker 1: The AI one?
- 8:14Speaker 2: It is AI? Okay, just making sure. But the scary
- 8:17Speaker 2: thing about that photo was we really weren't sure if
- 8:22Speaker 2: it was real or not because we've seen some people
- 8:25Speaker 2: do some freaky stuff to themselves. Because, look, with enough money,
- 8:28Speaker 2: you'll find a plastic surgeon who will do anything.
- 8:32Speaker 1: And you're right.
- 8:33Speaker 2: If you're that wealthy, you're not going halfway around the
- 8:37Speaker 2: world to get this done. This guy lives, he's from Africa. So,
- 8:42Speaker 2: I mean, you're right there near Turkey. They have great
- 8:44Speaker 2: medical tourism. You can go to India and get stuff done.
- 8:47Speaker 2: There's all sorts of places you could go to get
- 8:49Speaker 2: this done. Thailand would not be high on my list.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Again, you're talking about going to places that are considerably
- 8:54Speaker 1: less expensive. When it comes to if you're going to
- 8:58Speaker 1: operate on my junk, I am not cutting cost.
- 9:02Speaker 3: No.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I don't want cutting at all. I want filling and
- 9:07Speaker 2: growing and expanding if I'm going that route. And you're right,
- 9:11Speaker 2: we don't know how wealthy he is. But, according to
- 9:14Speaker 2: the story, a wealthy influencer died after undergoing penis enlargement
- 9:19Speaker 2: surgery in Thailand. Ego Uberibo, actually I think I said
- 9:25Speaker 2: that pretty close to correct, was 43. He was injected
- 9:28Speaker 2: with 40 milliliters of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at an
- 9:33Speaker 2: unnamed Thai clinic in March. He was on holiday with
- 9:37Speaker 2: his wife at the time, staying at the Marriott Hotel
- 9:40Speaker 2: in Bangkok. But that's a fun one. He decided to
- 9:46Speaker 2: have the operation there. Penis filler can cost thousands and
- 9:48Speaker 2: is becoming increasingly popular. Despite warnings from medical professionals and
- 9:55Speaker 2: surgeons of potentially devastating complications. which now we know can
- 10:00Speaker 2: include death so this guy went for a massage after
- 10:05Speaker 2: his procedure and then it was then that the british
- 10:08Speaker 2: nigerian businessman started to complain of chest pain and passed
- 10:13Speaker 2: out twice he was taken to the hospital later died
- 10:16Speaker 2: of a pulmonary embolism And because of an autopsy that
- 10:20Speaker 2: they did after the fact, they said, yeah, the stuff
- 10:25Speaker 2: from the injection got into his body and into his
- 10:28Speaker 2: lungs and killed him. And one autopsy, I believe, was
- 10:35Speaker 2: done in Thailand and another one was done in England.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Or in the UK, whichever one. And they later found
- 10:45Speaker 2: material consistent with the wiener filler in his lungs and
- 10:48Speaker 2: concluded the procedure caused his embolism. So this is I'm
- 10:51Speaker 2: not just making stuff up. I'm not just throwing out
- 10:53Speaker 2: conversation starters just to see, you know, at what point
- 10:56Speaker 2: you guys would consider, you know, adding an inch or two.
- 10:59Speaker 2: It really is this guy, African businessman, seemingly very healthy, looked,
- 11:06Speaker 2: you know, the part of a successful guy. Forty three.
- 11:10Speaker 2: They say wealthy. I don't know. We have no idea. Um,
- 11:14Speaker 2: but we don't know how obviously short he was in
- 11:22Speaker 2: that department because based on stereotypes, I see what appears
- 11:30Speaker 2: to be a very healthy black man. And in the headline,
- 11:34Speaker 2: it says he died after complications from a penis enlargement procedure.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I wonder if they got the right guy. Like, is
- 11:42Speaker 2: this the right photo? Or was there like a white
- 11:46Speaker 2: dude somewhere that somehow they got the photo code swapped
- 11:50Speaker 2: out somehow? But apparently this is the guy.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Like it's a real life Robert Downey Jr. Tropic Thunder.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Maybe. I get it if you're of the micro scale.
- 12:08Speaker 2: But even then, when we talked about the Michael Phillips
- 12:10Speaker 2: guy with the tiniest weenie in the world, his procedure,
- 12:15Speaker 2: which was going to cost thousands that he did a
- 12:17Speaker 2: crowdfunding thing for, was only going to add a little
- 12:20Speaker 2: bit of girth and very minimal length to it. So
- 12:23Speaker 2: to me, it even seemed like not even worth it
- 12:25Speaker 2: to do it in that case.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I have to assume that anything going on down there
- 12:33Speaker 1: when it comes to surgical procedures, it's going to be
- 12:35Speaker 1: incredibly painful.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Yes. So....
- 12:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I'm going for baseball bat. It's go
- 12:42Speaker 1: big or go home.
- 12:43Speaker 2: You want stories written about you. You want to be
- 12:49Speaker 2: a poem like Casey at the bat, except you never
- 12:53Speaker 2: strike out. You want Robert Redford to go to home
- 12:57Speaker 2: plate with Wonder Boy etched on the side of your
- 13:01Speaker 2: thing and send it over the right field bleachers.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I'm not... I'm not screwing around for
- 13:08Speaker 1: just an inch or two. If I'm going to go
- 13:13Speaker 1: through the pain and everything else, yeah.
- 13:15Speaker 3: You want Louisville tattooed on the side of it.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I want something that creates a reputation for myself.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And perhaps you might be a late entry into the Preakness.
- 13:28Speaker 2: And the other horses are like, oh, watch out. Yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 2: I just can't fathom For these procedures, based on the
- 13:40Speaker 2: two stories now that I've had to read, thousands of dollars, economically,
- 13:44Speaker 2: spending thousands of dollars for like an inch or so
- 13:47Speaker 2: of girth, you really don't get anything more on the
- 13:49Speaker 2: length side. So you're not getting your baseball bat effect.
- 13:53Speaker 2: It just, to me, doesn't seem worth it at all.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Especially if there's a possibility you die. I don't know why...
- 14:03Speaker 2: There's so many things you could spend money on to
- 14:05Speaker 2: compensate for your tiny schlonger. Get a Ferrari.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Man, it's a big deal. There's a lot of guys
- 14:14Speaker 3: that really base their self-worth and their position in the
- 14:20Speaker 3: world on that.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I do love our Treehouse chat, though, right now. Double
- 14:29Speaker 2: AJ's on fire again. He says Thailand is definitely where
- 14:33Speaker 2: they will do weird stuff with plastic surgery. Let's be real.
- 14:36Speaker 1: All right.
- 14:36Speaker 2: He has a point there. But this guy was going
- 14:38Speaker 2: for what seems to be a quote unquote normal type procedure. Linda,
- 14:49Speaker 2: come for a massage. Get a bigger unit. The Thailand way.
- 14:53Speaker 2: And then back to Double AJ. Nigerian businessman? Are we
- 14:57Speaker 2: sure this is even real? Ooh, maybe that's what this is.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Maybe this is all a ploy to then send out
- 15:03Speaker 2: emails later to say a Nigerian influencer almost died, but
- 15:10Speaker 2: he needs your help to pay back his medical bills
- 15:16Speaker 2: for his enlargement surgery. All you've got to do is
- 15:19Speaker 2: just send me like $ 2, 000, and in three days, I'll
- 15:23Speaker 2: send you $ 2 million. Sounds very reasonable. And even Diego,
- 15:28Speaker 2: off his shoulder surgery in the chat, poor Nigerian prince, LOL.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Maybe they were selling insurance policies on the guy.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Oh, man. That's a rough way to go. But if
- 15:46Speaker 2: there is any solace, He was buried in a gold coffin.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Did it spin?
- 15:55Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, it is a bright, shiny,
- 16:04Speaker 2: metallic gold coffin that he's going to be buried in.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Was it an open casket ceremony?
- 16:14Speaker 2: I hope so, and I hope it's sticking up. Because
- 16:19Speaker 2: that's what everyone's going to be thinking, right?
- 16:22Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 16:23Speaker 2: If I go to that wake, if I go to
- 16:25Speaker 2: that funeral, I see the gold coffin, I'm like, clearly
- 16:27Speaker 2: he's been compensating. Also, I'm going to be thinking, I
- 16:33Speaker 2: know why he died. I know how he died. And
- 16:36Speaker 2: the coffin looks a little too big. So, that is
- 16:43Speaker 2: why I ask, would you put your life on the line?
- 16:46Speaker 2: Thank you for the correction, Trey.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I mean, that's... That's sad. He had to overcompensate in death.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Seriously, just get you a gold-plated Miata. I mean, if
- 16:57Speaker 2: you can't afford the Ferrari or something, just do something.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Do what you can to compensate. Spend that $ 10, 000, $ 12, 000, $ 15, 000
- 17:06Speaker 2: on the surgery on something else. Something that may not
- 17:10Speaker 2: kill you.
- 17:12Speaker 1: It's also got to be a bitch. You're dead and
- 17:15Speaker 1: all your friends are going up to your wife and going,
- 17:17Speaker 1: I don't need surgery.
- 17:21Speaker 2: I know you're hurting. I can fix you. All right.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Everyone get your, get your saluting arms and your, your
- 17:33Speaker 2: hats ready to be tipped here.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW roofing and restoration
- 17:39Speaker 2: into the tree house. 833 Cook DFW is the phone
- 17:43Speaker 2: number to get your free roof. inspection and property review
- 17:46Speaker 2: scheduled the website cookdfw.com i'm going to say some scary
- 17:51Speaker 2: words daniel super el nino and the effect that is
- 18:00Speaker 2: going to have on weather especially in the north texas area.
- 18:06Speaker 3: You know You're right.
- 18:08Speaker 4: We just are officially in going into.
- 18:10Speaker 3: The Super El Nino.
- 18:12Speaker 4: The reason why is because it's warmer than a regular
- 18:14Speaker 4: El Nino. And it does prelude that we will have
- 18:19Speaker 4: a wetter, higher rain percentage than a normal year, or
- 18:24Speaker 4: shall we say on El Nino. So there are some differences, speculations.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Nothing is set in stone. This is not a guarantee
- 18:33Speaker 4: that we're going to have a deluge of water. for
- 18:35Speaker 4: the next year. I mean, that's just not what it means.
- 18:38Speaker 4: Scientific data says, hey, we might have a wetter than normal.
- 18:42Speaker 1: We could have more storms. It could be just a
- 18:44Speaker 1: lot of rain. We all need to go out and
- 18:46Speaker 1: build arcs. I don't know.
- 18:47Speaker 4: But I mean, be prepared. The moral of the story
- 18:51Speaker 4: is every day you live in North Texas, especially in
- 18:54Speaker 4: North Texas, be prepared. Know how your home is sitting.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Know how your roof looks. Know how your Windows are working.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Know if your doors have holes in them. I mean,
- 19:03Speaker 4: just know your home.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Know your home.

- 19:16Speaker 2: team at Cook DFW will take care of you, the homeowner,

- 19:23Speaker 2: 833-COOK-DFW.
- 19:24Speaker 3: That sound bad? Sounded bad.
- 19:25Speaker 2: 833-COOK-DFW. Get that scheduled today. The website, cookdfw.com. Someone make
- 19:34Speaker 2: a note of this. This is another nominee for headline
- 19:38Speaker 2: of the year. A blind man has been sentenced for
- 19:45Speaker 2: driving 150 miles while drunk.
- 19:58Speaker 3: 80s movie.
- 20:00Speaker 2: 80s high school movie. Slow clap right there, baby. A
- 20:03Speaker 2: blind man has been sentenced for driving 150 miles while drunk.
- 20:07Speaker 2: I'm impressed. That is wow. And I think the car
- 20:19Speaker 2: was kind of stolen.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Kind of?
- 20:23Speaker 2: Honestly, Helen Keller, jump in the back seat. Let me
- 20:27Speaker 2: tell you a story about overcoming obstacles in life.
- 20:34Speaker 1: He's sitting there telling Al Pacino to eat it.
- 20:39Speaker 2: A blind motorist who took his partner's car and drove
- 20:43Speaker 2: 150 miles at night, not that it really matters because
- 20:47Speaker 2: he's blind, while drunk, has been handed only a suspended sentence.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Anthony Hall, who does not have a driving license, no
- 20:58Speaker 2: shocker there, was stopped by police on the M6 near Carlisle.
- 21:01Speaker 2: This is from the BBC, so this happened in England
- 21:04Speaker 2: or UK, something. This was after he was seen swerving
- 21:08Speaker 2: between lanes and onto the shoulder. He told police he
- 21:12Speaker 2: had driven from his home after he and his partner
- 21:15Speaker 2: had drunk four bottles of wine. Okay, look, I am
- 21:21Speaker 2: not a big wine drinker, but in the past, I've
- 21:25Speaker 2: had some and shared it with the ex, and one
- 21:30Speaker 2: bottle was plenty. If we went into two, it was
- 21:36Speaker 2: going to be a weird night, right? I can't even
- 21:39Speaker 2: fathom four bottles deep.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I mean, that's two apiece. Yeah, you're... Yeah. I mean,
- 21:46Speaker 1: this guy is a hero.
- 21:50Speaker 2: To so many.
- 21:51Speaker 1: You're talking about a can-do attitude.
- 21:54Speaker 3: I mean... No obstacles, man. That's... Oh, man.
- 22:02Speaker 2: The court had heard him, admitted charges including dangerous driving,
- 22:07Speaker 2: at a previous hearing, and he was sentenced to 36
- 22:10Speaker 2: weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months. He also admitted
- 22:16Speaker 2: drunk driving, driving without a license or insurance, and taking
- 22:20Speaker 2: a car without consent.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I was about to say, I'm assuming suspending his license
- 22:24Speaker 1: wasn't even an option because he doesn't have one.
- 22:27Speaker 2: All right, look, if you get one, automatically suspended.
- 22:30Speaker 3: There you go.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Oh, Jesus. That really is. It really is one of
- 22:39Speaker 2: the most impressive things I've ever heard.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it really is. Because that's one thing. Legally blind
- 22:48Speaker 1: doesn't mean you technically can't see. It just means your
- 22:51Speaker 1: vision is... But... To 150 miles, that's... At night.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:59Speaker 2: And the worst thing that happened was he was swerving
- 23:02Speaker 2: and went over onto the shoulder. The fact that he
- 23:04Speaker 2: didn't hit anybody or anything else.
- 23:07Speaker 1: I mean, maybe that is a new level of drunk.
- 23:12Speaker 1: You're so drunk you can see.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Like all of us normies, like we get really drunk.
- 23:22Speaker 2: We see like two and four and six of things.
- 23:25Speaker 2: But if you're legally blind, it all comes into focus.
- 23:28Speaker 2: You're like, oh, my God, it's a miracle. So he's
- 23:32Speaker 2: just going is like, let me see how far this
- 23:34Speaker 2: will take me.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I just realized there was a level of drunk I
- 23:39Speaker 1: never achieved.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Do you feel like you're missing out now?
- 23:43Speaker 1: You know, that's got to be a euphoric feeling.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I mean, look, some people level up in video games.
- 23:49Speaker 2: This guy leveled up in real life. I love Linda
- 23:55Speaker 2: in the chat. You know, he was saying, I'm sailing.
- 24:02Speaker 2: At least he knew he was driving. Oh, man, I
- 24:04Speaker 2: had never thought about that. You drink so much that
- 24:06Speaker 2: you turn back around and can see.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Wow.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Now I need to know which wine that was.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Was it a red or a white?
- 24:17Speaker 2: See, these are the questions we ask, and we never
- 24:20Speaker 2: get the answers to.
- 24:24Speaker 1: If it was a rosé, then I'd lose respect for
- 24:26Speaker 1: the guy again.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, that's just not, no. That's not possible, man.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Then again, if it's four bottles of it, congratulations to
- 24:38Speaker 2: this man.
- 24:40Speaker 3: And we have.
- 24:42Speaker 2: More and deeper probing questions that we really want the
- 24:46Speaker 2: answers to. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever get them.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Now time for a common sense law. Or is it?
- 24:56Speaker 1: Italy.
- 24:57Speaker 2: The entire country, not the little town in East Texas,
- 25:00Speaker 2: but Italy. may ban texting while walking. Apparently things have
- 25:07Speaker 2: gotten so bad in Italy with people staring at their
- 25:09Speaker 2: phones that it's become a public nuisance and they're actually
- 25:12Speaker 2: considering legislation to make it where you cannot text and walk.
- 25:18Speaker 2: And I say yes.
- 25:21Speaker 3: I'm okay with it.
- 25:24Speaker 1: I mean, this is something... Jerry, I don't know how
- 25:29Speaker 1: much you drive in Dallas. Dan, obviously, I know you
- 25:31Speaker 1: don't drive in Dallas.
- 25:33Speaker 3: A lot.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Something I have and where I live in Lemon, Cedar Springs,
- 25:40Speaker 1: you have busy streets, a lot of traffic. I feel
- 25:46Speaker 1: like we have quit teaching kids just the simple basics
- 25:51Speaker 1: of walk, don't walk signs and what means go and
- 25:55Speaker 1: what means not. Because people do not seem to understand
- 25:59Speaker 1: anymore that and it's white, you walk. When it's red,
- 26:03Speaker 1: you stop.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Pedestrian traffic has always been an interesting thing to me
- 26:10Speaker 2: because if I remember this correctly, because I looked it
- 26:13Speaker 2: up before, as a pedestrian in Texas, I don't think
- 26:19Speaker 2: just because you're in a crosswalk, you automatically get the
- 26:22Speaker 2: right of way. I believe in Texas, there's personal responsibility
- 26:26Speaker 2: involved in that scenario where if you are in the crosswalk,
- 26:31Speaker 2: when it says don't walk and you get hit by
- 26:34Speaker 2: a car, the person driving that car is not automatically
- 26:37Speaker 2: responsible for it.
- 26:39Speaker 1: If you're in a crosswalk where there's an intersection that
- 26:42Speaker 1: has walk, don't walk. There are some crosswalks where, yes,
- 26:46Speaker 1: you are default. Like if it's a stop sign, then yeah,
- 26:49Speaker 1: you do actually have the right. But if it's a walk,
- 26:58Speaker 1: don't walk sign, then, yeah, you still have to go
- 27:01Speaker 1: by those rules. Right.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Now, that's not the case everywhere else. Like, I know
- 27:05Speaker 2: there are other parts of the country where, as a pedestrian,
- 27:08Speaker 2: if you're in the street, crosswalk, whatever, it is your right-of-way, period.
- 27:12Speaker 2: But in Texas, again, if I'm right, that's not necessarily
- 27:15Speaker 2: the case.
- 27:16Speaker 1: No, it's... Listen, I know I've told this story before,
- 27:19Speaker 1: but back in the day, I was at a bar
- 27:24Speaker 1: on McKinney Avenue and hanging out with... was actually having
- 27:28Speaker 1: lunch with a few of the DPD friends. And there
- 27:33Speaker 1: was a restaurant across the street and someone left the restaurant,
- 27:36Speaker 1: walked out, not at the intersection, just jaywalked right in
- 27:39Speaker 1: the middle of the street, got hit by a car.
- 27:43Speaker 1: And one of our other cop friends had to go
- 27:46Speaker 1: to the hospital and write them a ticket for jaywalking
- 27:48Speaker 1: because they were at fault. As it should be.
- 27:54Speaker 2: That's how it should be. And look, And I see
- 28:00Speaker 2: this a lot because in Dallas, we don't treat pedestrians
- 28:03Speaker 2: the same way that other cities do. I remember like
- 28:07Speaker 2: even driving it like like the crosswalk in Dallas. That's
- 28:10Speaker 2: not a barrier. That's that's just extra space that you
- 28:13Speaker 2: creep up on. Right. In other cities like even Austin,
- 28:17Speaker 2: Austin is is more pedestrian friendly. Cars don't creep up
- 28:21Speaker 2: into that crosswalk section a whole lot in other major
- 28:24Speaker 2: cities like where I am now in Seattle. They don't
- 28:26Speaker 2: creep into that crosswalk because there is so much foot traffic.
- 28:29Speaker 2: It happened the same way in Portland. I've seen it
- 28:32Speaker 2: in other cities as well where there's common foot traffic.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Vehicles stay out of that crosswalk. In Dallas, that's just
- 28:40Speaker 2: extra room to creep up.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Dallas is more GTA.
- 28:44Speaker 2: It very much is. See, people in Dallas complaining about
- 28:47Speaker 2: the lack of GTA 6 in their lives in the
- 28:50Speaker 2: last decade or two decades, just drive around. It's pretty
- 28:54Speaker 2: much the same thing. But like I was telling you, Trey,
- 28:59Speaker 2: like Tara and I drove those Lime scooters for the
- 29:03Speaker 2: first time recently. I'll never do that in Dallas.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Oh, I see it every day, and I'm amazed that
- 29:10Speaker 1: people don't get plowed into or run over on those things.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I'll do it where I am currently, still mainly on
- 29:18Speaker 2: side streets because I still don't trust drivers anywhere. But
- 29:21Speaker 2: at least here, I know that the drivers here are
- 29:24Speaker 2: more used to seeing those things, and they're– They're not
- 29:28Speaker 2: as quick to run over people. Honestly, when I'm walking
- 29:34Speaker 2: around places, I've been closer to being run over by
- 29:37Speaker 2: someone on a bicycle than I have in a car.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Or by a car.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Anyway, so yeah, the whole crosswalk pedestrian thing, that's an
- 29:49Speaker 2: amazing thing to me and how Dallas would just assume,
- 29:51Speaker 2: just bump you or run your ass over. But there
- 29:53Speaker 2: are people walking around that think that they have the
- 29:55Speaker 2: automatic right-of-way, and you don't. I love that story where
- 30:00Speaker 2: the cop had to go to the hospital and write
- 30:03Speaker 2: a ticket to that guy. Because, and this is where,
- 30:07Speaker 2: so like on the surface, when I say Italy may
- 30:10Speaker 2: ban texting while walking, you would think that that doesn't
- 30:14Speaker 2: need to be a law. They'll learn the lesson when
- 30:16Speaker 2: they get run over. But if I'm driving the car,
- 30:22Speaker 2: why should it be my fault and fall on my
- 30:24Speaker 2: insurance to pay for it because you were an idiot?
- 30:27Speaker 2: So that's where the law needs to come into place
- 30:29Speaker 2: because your idiocy is affecting somebody else and or their property.
- 30:35Speaker 2: So that's why the law has to be in place.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Well, and that's why they had to go write the
- 30:38Speaker 1: person a ticket because they had literally jumped off, jumped
- 30:41Speaker 1: out on the street in between from in between two cars,
- 30:44Speaker 1: got hit, broke. Their leg was broken. And the driver
- 30:48Speaker 1: was like, it's not you. You need to make sure
- 30:51Speaker 1: that you do this because it's not my fault.
- 30:54Speaker 2: And I'm not. Yeah, I'm not paying for your leg
- 30:57Speaker 2: and I'm not paying for my new bumper. That's a
- 31:01Speaker 2: you thing. You should be paying that. And like there's
- 31:07Speaker 2: sad examples where people have been texting and they ended
- 31:11Speaker 2: up dead. Like there was one, if I remember this correctly,
- 31:14Speaker 2: in Fort Worth, someone was walking in like a parking
- 31:16Speaker 2: garage in Fort Worth, like in Sundance, and they were
- 31:20Speaker 2: texting or they were on their phone or something and
- 31:22Speaker 2: they got to the edge of the parking structure and
- 31:24Speaker 2: and fell over the concrete wall to the street and
- 31:27Speaker 2: then died.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Do you feel restless and anxious? Feel like something's missing
- 31:31Speaker 1: in your life? Maybe you just need a little more
- 31:33Speaker 1: Treehouse in it. Go to patreon.com slash treehouseonair and check
- 31:37Speaker 1: out all the bonus features a subscription offers, including bonus shows,
- 31:40Speaker 1: behind-the-scenes content, special subscriber-only live shows, and so much more.
- 31:44Speaker 1: That's patreon.com slash treehouseonair. That's p-a-t-r-e-o-n dot com slash treehouseonair.
- 31:53Speaker 2: The family sued, and I believe they won because they
- 31:58Speaker 2: said that the wall wasn't high enough to prevent such
- 32:05Speaker 2: an accident. So even in some cases, you can still
- 32:11Speaker 2: find a way to skirt some responsibility. But ultimately, watch
- 32:18Speaker 2: where you're going. Why is this so goddamn hard?
- 32:23Speaker 3: Right. Streets are for cars.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Even when I'm on the sidewalk and I'm walking, if
- 32:29Speaker 2: I need to send a long text or an email,
- 32:32Speaker 2: I'll actually move over to the side of the sidewalk.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Right. Find yourself a nice little nook out of the way.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I'll tell the homeless man that I'm sharing that little
- 32:41Speaker 2: alcove with to scooch over a little bit while he poops.
- 32:44Speaker 2: And I'll send my text and get out of the
- 32:46Speaker 2: way of the foot traffic. I can concentrate on sending
- 32:49Speaker 2: my thing. And then when I'm done, I put the
- 32:51Speaker 2: phone back in the pocket and walk like a normal human.
- 32:57Speaker 2: So I'm all for instituting bans because if your stupidity
- 33:07Speaker 2: affects me. It's the same thing like people try to
- 33:10Speaker 2: say like, oh, it is stupid having seatbelt laws. The
- 33:14Speaker 2: main reason why we have a seatbelt law is the
- 33:16Speaker 2: same thing because if you're not wearing your seatbelt and
- 33:19Speaker 2: you go flying out of your windshield in an accident,
- 33:21Speaker 2: you are now a projectile. You could hit into my
- 33:24Speaker 2: car And I had nothing to do with the accident whatsoever.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Now I got to figure out insurance because you weren't
- 33:31Speaker 2: wearing a seatbelt and ended up in my front seat.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Well, even more than that is if you veer or
- 33:36Speaker 1: something where you might go flying out of the seat
- 33:39Speaker 1: and lose control of your car, if you have your
- 33:40Speaker 1: seatbelt on, it keeps you in the seat and you
- 33:43Speaker 1: have a better chance of maintaining control. Also that. But yeah, that's...
- 33:49Speaker 1: If it were just... If the idiots were the only
- 33:52Speaker 1: people to pay the price... Mm-hmm. I would be like,
- 33:56Speaker 1: let her rip.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Yeah. I always enjoy watching two people that are texting,
- 34:01Speaker 3: not paying attention, walk into each other. It's when one
- 34:05Speaker 3: of them walks into me. You know? I've seen it
- 34:10Speaker 3: happen so many times. Somebody's coming around a corner, they're texting, blah, blah, blah,
- 34:13Speaker 3: and they just plow right into you. And it's like,
- 34:15Speaker 3: you can stop because you see them, but they just
- 34:17Speaker 3: keep walking.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I don't often get petty in public, but I will
- 34:24Speaker 2: do it in that scenario. Like if we're at like
- 34:29Speaker 2: a market type of a thing where there's lots of
- 34:31Speaker 2: people walking up and down the street and I see
- 34:33Speaker 2: someone walking towards me with their face down and their phone,
- 34:38Speaker 2: I will maintain course and heading. I will absolutely watch
- 34:43Speaker 2: the entire time as they run into me. And I
- 34:46Speaker 2: will not apologize. I will just look at them and
- 34:48Speaker 2: be like, mm-hmm.
- 34:50Speaker 3: What did we learn?
- 34:51Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Nothing? I thought so.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Look where you're going.
- 34:57Speaker 2: It's real simple. Nah.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Nah?
- 35:03Speaker 2: Is it overly simple? Is that the problem, Trey?
- 35:07Speaker 1: People can't be bothered. I mean, they can't be bothered
- 35:10Speaker 1: to walk and look where they're going. They can't be
- 35:13Speaker 1: bothered to drive and pay attention.
- 35:16Speaker 3: That is true.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Well, it happens that way until something bad happens.
- 35:22Speaker 3: And then you learn.
- 35:25Speaker 2: So speaking of learning, today is Thursday, September 10th, 2026.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Let's celebrate today with some birthdays. We started out the
- 35:41Speaker 2: show talking about a tiny unit. In birthdays today, we're
- 35:47Speaker 2: starting with the big unit. Randy Johnson is 63 today. 60,
- 35:53Speaker 2: which is interesting because that man looks 63 when he
- 35:56Speaker 2: was 23. Yeah.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Yeah. He was born a full grown man. Absolutely.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Like he came out and everyone's like, Jesus Christ, that
- 36:04Speaker 2: baby six foot 10 and can throw 98 miles an hour. Um,
- 36:07Speaker 2: this Randy Johnson, 63 today, nicknamed the big unit.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Why?
- 36:12Speaker 2: Cause he's six foot 10, five time Cy Young winner.
- 36:17Speaker 2: 303 wins, 4,875 strikeouts, second only to our Nolan Ryan.
- 36:26Speaker 2: And easily one of the scariest pitchers in the history
- 36:29Speaker 2: of baseball to face. And if you don't believe us,
- 36:32Speaker 2: just ask John Kruk. Jerry, I know you're not a
- 36:37Speaker 2: mega sports guy. When I say that, I don't know
- 36:40Speaker 2: if you know what I mean. I know Trey does.
- 36:43Speaker 2: But There was one time Randy Johnson is facing John
- 36:47Speaker 2: Kruk and Randy Johnson's throwing 9900 miles an hour from
- 36:51Speaker 2: the left side. And John Kruk is a left handed hitter.
- 36:55Speaker 2: So when John Kruk is facing Randy Johnson, because of
- 36:59Speaker 2: Randy Johnson's size and arm angle, his arm is coming
- 37:04Speaker 2: basically from behind John Kruk. And then the ball's coming
- 37:07Speaker 2: across him. So it looks like it's coming at him
- 37:09Speaker 2: no matter what. So one day when he's facing Randy Johnson,
- 37:13Speaker 2: Randy Johnson decides to throw one behind John Crook. And
- 37:18Speaker 2: it's a famous clip because John Crook steps out of
- 37:21Speaker 2: the batter's box. looks around, grabs his jersey, and.
- 37:28Speaker 3: He's like, whew. He's like, whew.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Sort of like, I almost died just then. And the
- 37:32Speaker 2: very next pitch, I believe, is Randy Johnson throwing a
- 37:35Speaker 2: slider that started at John Kruk's cheek and ended up
- 37:39Speaker 2: across the plate for his strike. And it's one of
- 37:41Speaker 2: the most evil things I've seen a pitcher do in baseball,
- 37:45Speaker 2: and I love it, mainly because I wasn't John Kruk.
- 37:48Speaker 1: At that moment.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Evil, evil pitcher man. Uh, but God, he was fun and, uh,
- 37:56Speaker 2: killed the bird.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Oh yes.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Killed the bird.
- 38:01Speaker 3: I mean, it blew exploded.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Yeah. That will never happen again in our lifetime that
- 38:08Speaker 2: we'll see something like that. I don't. And then the
- 38:11Speaker 2: fact that a bird flew right in front of a
- 38:13Speaker 2: Randy Johnson fastball, And it just blew up immediately. It's
- 38:19Speaker 2: one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.
- 38:21Speaker 2: And that's true for sports or anything. Just....
- 38:27Speaker 3: Tough to feathers.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Just....
- 38:31Speaker 3: Whole stadium. Whole stadium just like.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Gasp.
- 38:37Speaker 3: And just silence for like a second and a half.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Utter silence.
- 38:41Speaker 2: R.I.P.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Pigeon.
- 38:43Speaker 2: R.I.P.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Pigeon.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Shit. So happy birthday to the big unit, Randy Johnson,
- 38:49Speaker 2: 63 today. Real quick, because I mentioned John Kruk. I
- 38:53Speaker 2: happen to have this random thought yesterday, Trey. So in
- 38:57Speaker 2: our episode yesterday, you had brought up Dalton from Roadhouse.
- 39:02Speaker 2: You know, Patrick Swayze's character. And for some reason, that
- 39:06Speaker 2: got me thinking about the early 90s Phillies teams. John Kruk.
- 39:14Speaker 2: And didn't they also have a Dalton? Like the catcher
- 39:17Speaker 2: was Dalton.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Oh, you're, you're going beyond my.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Okay.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Baseball rosters are beyond my sports knowledge.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:25Speaker 2: So the, early 90s Phillies had a great team, had
- 39:29Speaker 2: a hell of a lineup. You had John Kruk. I
- 39:31Speaker 2: believe the catcher's last name was Dalton. And what was
- 39:33Speaker 2: great about that was this is at the height of, like,
- 39:35Speaker 2: the baseball mullets. I don't know what it was with
- 39:38Speaker 2: the Phillies at the time. It was the early 90s.
- 39:39Speaker 2: They were still coming out of the 80s. All these
- 39:42Speaker 2: guys looked like extras from Roadhouse. And the fact that
- 39:45Speaker 2: I believe the catcher's last name was also Dalton was
- 39:48Speaker 2: just perfect. Go back and watch Roadhouse and then pull
- 39:52Speaker 2: up some clips of the Phillies World Series teams in
- 39:56Speaker 2: the early 90s. They're going to look like guys like
- 39:59Speaker 2: Patrick Swayze was kicking around in the bar. That's my
- 40:03Speaker 2: super randomness for today. Other birthdays today. Joe Neuendijk, Hockey
- 40:08Speaker 2: Hall of Famer, three-time Stanley Cup champion, Conn Smythe Trophy winner,
- 40:12Speaker 2: is 60. Also a big-time Dallas star.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Yes.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Also celebrating birthdays today, Jose Feliciano is 81. It was
- 40:28Speaker 2: a long, long time before I could enjoy Christmas music
- 40:31Speaker 2: after I worked at KVIL in the early 2000s. But
- 40:36Speaker 2: when I finally did come back around to enjoying some
- 40:39Speaker 2: Christmas music 20 years later, I still cannot get behind
- 40:45Speaker 2: Feliz Navidad. That's one I still cannot come around on.
- 40:49Speaker 3: It's not happening.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Sorry, Jose, but happy birthday, year 81.
- 40:52Speaker 3: Duly noted.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Joe Perry from Aerosmith is 76. He once graced our
- 41:00Speaker 2: radio studio with his presence right after a hip replacement surgery.
- 41:04Speaker 1: He was a dick. He was. I mean, he.
- 41:11Speaker 2: You dealt with it more than I did. I was
- 41:13Speaker 2: in the other room still screening calls at the time.
- 41:15Speaker 2: I was still enamored because I'm like, oh, my God,
- 41:17Speaker 2: it's Joe Perry. This is awesome.
- 41:23Speaker 1: For big-time stars, he was the biggest dick I think
- 41:26Speaker 1: I ever dealt with.
- 41:28Speaker 2: What did he do?
- 41:29Speaker 1: He was plugging his barbecue sauce. He didn't want to
- 41:34Speaker 1: talk about music. He was obviously in a crappy mood
- 41:38Speaker 1: because he had had hip replacement surgery. His son was
- 41:42Speaker 1: with him, I believe, who was also a dick. I
- 41:46Speaker 1: think his son was kind of his PR guy.
- 41:49Speaker 2: What I remembered about that visit also was I thought
- 41:51Speaker 2: he had mentioned something about his son wrecking his Aston Martin.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I think, but I... I don't know. I remember... Hell,
- 42:01Speaker 1: that's been 20 years ago, and now I don't remember everything,
- 42:06Speaker 1: but I remember he was just a dick. It's like I.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Polar opposites. The people I remember as being the nicest
- 42:19Speaker 1: you could ever imagine was Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora.
- 42:26Speaker 1: They were so cool. And if you remember, they stayed after,
- 42:30Speaker 1: because they really, they stayed in Dallas to do our show,
- 42:35Speaker 1: but then they stayed in the parking lot. They took pictures,
- 42:38Speaker 1: I think, with every effing salesperson at CBS and They
- 42:42Speaker 1: stayed like an extra 30 minutes. They were just unbelievably nice.
- 42:46Speaker 2: And I remember they were there so long that Richie
- 42:49Speaker 2: Sambora had to go to the bathroom. And our production
- 42:53Speaker 2: guy at the time, Ricky, was unfortunately next to Richie
- 42:58Speaker 2: when they were going pee-pee. And I don't know if
- 43:02Speaker 2: he chose to glance at it or because it was
- 43:05Speaker 2: so big that the gravitational pull pulled Ricky's eyes down
- 43:08Speaker 2: to it, but He came out of the bathroom just
- 43:11Speaker 2: feeling like half the man he thought he was. And
- 43:15Speaker 2: I said, why do you think Heather Locklear looked so
- 43:17Speaker 2: happy for so long?
- 43:20Speaker 1: And what's even more is that she never really talked
- 43:23Speaker 1: about that. She's the one who said David Spade has
- 43:27Speaker 1: the big one.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Gotta be. Gotta be. The amount of chicks he pulls,
- 43:32Speaker 2: that is not all personality based.
- 43:34Speaker 1: No, she said he's got.
- 43:38Speaker 1: His has to be bigger than Richie's because that's the
- 43:41Speaker 1: one of all the guys she's been with that she said,
- 43:43Speaker 1: and basically I think she best said the same thing
- 43:45Speaker 1: is there's a reason why he gets so many. Yeah.
- 43:49Speaker 2: And it makes sense because like I've, I've, I've long
- 43:52Speaker 2: felt no pun intended that, uh, God, mother nature, biology,
- 43:58Speaker 2: whatever balances out certain things, shortcomings per let's say. So
- 44:04Speaker 2: like David Spade, physically not a specimen in any way.
- 44:09Speaker 2: He's short, he's scrawny, he's not good looking. So biology
- 44:14Speaker 2: gave him, you know, a redwood between the legs to
- 44:18Speaker 2: make up for all the other shortcomings. Then you get
- 44:22Speaker 2: other people that might be, you know, gifted physically like
- 44:26Speaker 2: bodybuilder type features and things, and then really good looking.
- 44:30Speaker 2: But Maybe they've got a little that is left to
- 44:35Speaker 2: be desired in the pants department.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Right.
- 44:38Speaker 2: I feel like certain things get, you know, evened out. Now,
- 44:42Speaker 2: some people just hit the genetic lottery and they're, you know,
- 44:47Speaker 2: good looking. And they also have, you know, something that
- 44:50Speaker 2: is worth telling people about, which also means there are
- 44:52Speaker 2: those people that are just horrific in every way. So
- 44:58Speaker 2: if there's people out there that hit the genetic lottery,
- 45:00Speaker 2: then there's people that hit the opposite and they have
- 45:03Speaker 2: just nothing. They're hideous, they're trolls, and they got tiny wieners.
- 45:09Speaker 2: And maybe they end up in Thailand getting an enlargement
- 45:12Speaker 2: and then they die and everyone knows about it. All
- 45:16Speaker 2: sorts of possibilities. That's just a theory I have. No
- 45:19Speaker 2: idea if it's true or not. Kind of like Brad.
- 45:26Speaker 2: our old producer at one Oh five, three huge from
- 45:32Speaker 2: what I've heard.
- 45:34Speaker 1: That was, that was his nickname.
- 45:36Speaker 3: It was, it was, is big Dick Brad.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:39Speaker 2: It's pretty interesting too, because he now owns a radio
- 45:41Speaker 2: station in central Texas. Now, typically radio stations have to
- 45:45Speaker 2: have broadcast towers to transmit their signal, not Brad. He
- 45:48Speaker 2: just lies down and just thinks real hard. It's really unfair.
- 45:57Speaker 1: I wonder if on the other end of the scale,
- 46:01Speaker 1: if that's how you get a morning show.
- 46:03Speaker 2: God damn.
- 46:06Speaker 3: Amen.
- 46:11Speaker 2: You know what? I guess whatever angle you got to
- 46:14Speaker 2: use to get what you want. Did I already say
- 46:20Speaker 2: Jose Feliciano is anyone?
- 46:29Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 46:32Speaker 2: A couple other quick birthdays, if I can recover. Colin
- 46:35Speaker 2: Firth is 66, from The King's Speech, Love Actually, Bridget
- 46:40Speaker 2: Jones's Diary, and The Kingsman Movies. Did I get that right? Yeah,
- 46:47Speaker 2: The Kingsman Movies. I really enjoyed that first one. I
- 46:51Speaker 2: think I watched the second one. It's all right.
- 46:55Speaker 1: I like the first one. I like this. I really
- 46:57Speaker 1: liked the first one. I liked the second one. The
- 46:59Speaker 1: third one was awful.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:00Speaker 3: I didn't know there was a third one. Uh, you're
- 47:03Speaker 3: probably better off.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Uh, which something Diego put up, made a post about,
- 47:08Speaker 1: and I told him if you've never watched the gentleman,
- 47:11Speaker 1: it was a guy, Richie movie. And then now it's
- 47:13Speaker 1: a show on Netflix. They just did season two. Excellent show.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Excellent movie. Excellent show. If you like guy, Richie stuff,
- 47:22Speaker 1: I do.
- 47:23Speaker 2: I'm a big guy, Richie fan. Um, And because of that,
- 47:26Speaker 2: I'm surprised. Some of his more recent projects, I have
- 47:29Speaker 2: not seen. The Gentleman, the movie, I wanted to see it,
- 47:32Speaker 2: and I just hadn't gotten around to it yet. So
- 47:34Speaker 2: that's still on my list. And then I saw, like
- 47:36Speaker 2: you said, the show. I'm like, ooh, I want to
- 47:38Speaker 2: watch that as well. In the show, one of the
- 47:45Speaker 2: main characters, maybe the main character, can you think of
- 47:49Speaker 2: his name off the top of your head? He also
- 47:52Speaker 2: was opposite Chalene... in the Divergent movies.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Theo James.
- 47:59Speaker 3: Yeah, that's him.
- 48:01Speaker 2: So I saw him at Boston Logan once. I was
- 48:07Speaker 2: the only... I have an uncanny ability with faces. So
- 48:11Speaker 2: I was the only person in the airport to recognize.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Hey, it's that guy.
- 48:15Speaker 2: He walked right past us as we were standing in
- 48:18Speaker 2: line about to get on a flight back to Dallas.
- 48:21Speaker 2: And he walked by just looking absolutely... as normal as
- 48:26Speaker 2: anyone else in the airport, but because I'm good with faces,
- 48:29Speaker 2: I was like, Hey, it's that guy from the divergent movies.
- 48:32Speaker 2: And then when I see him in like, there was
- 48:33Speaker 2: like a Range Rover commercial now that he's in and
- 48:35Speaker 2: he's in the gentleman show.
- 48:37Speaker 3: I see him.
- 48:37Speaker 2: I'm like, that's the guy I saw at the airport.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Good for him.
- 48:40Speaker 1: No, listen, it's part of the, the plot of the gentlemen,
- 48:47Speaker 1: the series is they end up having a lot of
- 48:51Speaker 1: meetings in a sauna. Because the old crime boss likes
- 48:54Speaker 1: being in the sauna. And I am convinced Theo James
- 48:58Speaker 1: just writes that in there so he can be in
- 49:00Speaker 1: there shirtless and just, you know, just show off.
- 49:04Speaker 3: That makes sense. I get that. Yeah.
- 49:06Speaker 2: I saw a guy walking on the street yesterday, no
- 49:10Speaker 2: shirt or anything. And he's one of those guys that
- 49:12Speaker 2: was in such good shape as his belly's protruding. It's
- 49:15Speaker 2: still a six pack. And I'm like, you jerk.
- 49:17Speaker 1: I hate you.
- 49:18Speaker 2: That's that's just not fair. Um, I think, uh, holy shit.
- 49:26Speaker 2: For those that don't know when we go through birthdays,
- 49:29Speaker 2: I never pre-read these. Cause, cause, uh, I don't have time. Uh,
- 49:36Speaker 2: Guy Ritchie's 58 today.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:40Speaker 2: Let's see, this is another reason why we do the birthdays.
- 49:42Speaker 2: These happy little accidents happen. Director of Lock, Stock, and
- 49:46Speaker 2: Two Smoking Barrels, which, by the way, if you've not
- 49:48Speaker 2: seen that one, mwah! Snatch, love that. Sherlock Holmes and
- 49:52Speaker 2: The Gentleman. Guy Ritchie, 58. I did not plan that,
- 49:56Speaker 2: I swear to God. That just was a happy accident.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Speaking of happy accidents.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Trey, uh, I saw this on Reddit the other day.
- 50:09Speaker 2: I'm not sure if you saw it as well, but
- 50:11Speaker 2: I thought it was an interesting question someone posed. And
- 50:14Speaker 2: that is what's a dead giveaway that a relationship will end.
- 50:23Speaker 1: That she leaves you and doesn't.
- 50:26Speaker 3: Disappears.
- 50:29Speaker 2: She leaves and never comes back. That's usually a pretty
- 50:32Speaker 2: good sign. Yeah. Uh, I saw that and immediately I
- 50:36Speaker 2: was like, oh, God, there's usually really good signs. And
- 50:39Speaker 2: we always not always what we typically ignore them. But
- 50:42Speaker 2: it was an interesting thread. I didn't even get through
- 50:44Speaker 2: half of it, but it was someone just posed the question.
- 50:48Speaker 2: What is a dead giveaway that a relationship will end?
- 50:51Speaker 2: A good relationship will end. For you, Trey, it was
- 50:57Speaker 2: when she disappears and never comes back. Yeah. Uh, for me,
- 51:02Speaker 2: it was when, uh, she chased me. It was when
- 51:05Speaker 2: we got into a car chase, uh, through the M
- 51:08Speaker 2: streets on lower Greenville. I was, I was the one
- 51:13Speaker 2: trying to get away. And, and then, and then I did.
- 51:18Speaker 2: And then I did for real. Cause that was, that
- 51:20Speaker 2: was a moment where I was like.
- 51:21Speaker 1: You know what?
- 51:22Speaker 2: I don't think this relationship is going to work.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, if you want a really practical answer
- 51:28Speaker 1: on that, When you start sleeping in separate beds, that's
- 51:31Speaker 1: a really, really good sign.
- 51:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:37Speaker 2: That's where I feel like the twist is interesting. The
- 51:40Speaker 2: way they position the question, you know, what's a dead
- 51:44Speaker 2: giveaway that a good relationship will end?
- 51:49Speaker 1: I'm in it.
- 51:50Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 51:52Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 51:56Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 51:59Speaker 3: You want to go to Thailand? Nah, not gonna, not
- 52:04Speaker 3: gonna help.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Was there, was there a dead giveaway for you and
- 52:08Speaker 2: your good relationship that it may end?
- 52:12Speaker 3: Oh, I had, that's, that, that just, that's no, as
- 52:19Speaker 3: I've been, as I've been told, that's the reason why
- 52:23Speaker 3: all the others, cause I was in it.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Oh, cause you're the, you're, Oh, it's cause of you.
- 52:33Speaker 2: I don't think that's the case. I mean, Trey and
- 52:36Speaker 2: I are still together. And you're right in the middle
- 52:39Speaker 2: of it. I hope it turns out better for you
- 52:46Speaker 2: than it did for Trey. No offense, Trey.
- 52:48Speaker 1: No, no. I wouldn't curse what I've been through on anyone.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Although I would like to see a Guy Ritchie movie
- 52:59Speaker 2: about it.
- 53:02Speaker 1: The Ghost.
- 53:06Speaker 2: That's actually a great idea. We can actually remake Ghost.
- 53:09Speaker 2: But instead of it being, you know, the guy dies,
- 53:11Speaker 2: it's the girl just disappears. And it's the guy just
- 53:14Speaker 2: trying to do pottery by himself in his apartment next
- 53:18Speaker 2: to his chihuahua.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Love comes... I forgot how I said this.
- 53:27Speaker 3: It turns out she was never actually there.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Oh, that's a good twist. It could be like a
- 53:36Speaker 2: sixth sense reveal. Trey has to say, I see girlfriends.
- 53:44Speaker 1: They're not real.
- 53:44Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 53:46Speaker 3: The whole time it was like an appliance or something
- 53:49Speaker 3: he was making out with. He just didn't know.
- 53:52Speaker 1: It's the Maytag man.
- 54:00Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Trey.
- 54:01Speaker 1: No, it's all right. Could have been a blender.
- 54:09Speaker 3: Well said.
- 54:10Speaker 2: Let's go home now. Thank you for joining us here
- 54:12Speaker 2: inside the treehouse. We're grateful that Trey's ex-girlfriend wasn't a blender.
- 54:20Speaker 2: That's what I'm choosing to take away from today's show.
- 54:23Speaker 3: Otherwise, that would be a trip to Thailand. Very much so.
- 54:26Speaker 3: Much needed.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Thank you for hanging out with us here inside the Treehouse.
- 54:29Speaker 2: For those of you that are subscribers to Ultimate Treehouse,
