- 0:00OK, just a quick side note on this episode, there's some
- 0:03content that might not be safe for the younger viewers.
- 0:07It's really up to the parents to decide that one.
- 0:09So maybe pre screen and decide what to do with it.
- 0:13Thanks for listening. Thanks.
- 0:15Hello and welcome to Arguing Ever After.
- 0:18I'm Luke and this is Amber. Hello.
- 0:20Together we are the Lord and Lady who lock horns.
- 0:23The counting Countess of contention.
- 0:24The Duke and Duchess of Disagreement.
- 0:26And the king and queen of quarrels.
- 0:29We have been together since the worldwide release of one of the
- 0:32finest albums of all time, titled My Way by Usher.
- 0:37In this podcast, we bicker about all things big and small.
- 0:40We use the unscientific method of letting the masses decide who
- 0:44the winner is. Many of our topics are
- 0:46frequently submitted by our listeners, so if you have
- 0:49something you want us to fight about, please send it to us at
- 0:52arguingeverafter@gmail.com. And here we are at episode 21.
- 0:5721 is a lot of episodes. It is a lot.
- 0:59We've done a lot in this time frame.
- 1:02We recently in this time frame had Thanksgiving dinner.
- 1:05We did. I'm very thankful for that and
- 1:08I'm really thankful for our viewers and listeners and.
- 1:13Everything else that you should be thankful for.
- 1:16I read a really good like post that was talking about more like
- 1:20A blog than a post. Anyway.
- 1:21I was talking about how it's good to be thankful for the
- 1:24things that are like the blessings and the good things in
- 1:26your life, but it's also good to think about being thankful for
- 1:30the struggle and the hard times that you've been through, which
- 1:32is no fun, of course, but it forms sort of who we are.
- 1:36It made me think a lot. OK, great, great.
- 1:38Thinking's good. I like thinking.
- 1:42But I, you know, I mean, I think it's also really fun to think
- 1:45about the great things that have happened, especially reflecting
- 1:48on the last year. And for us, this has been a huge
- 1:50year getting our podcast going. We're like. 6:00-ish months in.
- 1:56I don't know. Close.
- 1:57Remember Math 26 26 episodes is half a year.
- 2:02And we're not there yet. We're.
- 2:02Not that's true. This is 21 that's.
- 2:05True, but we did a couple double records, so it was maybe kind of
- 2:08technically you're right. We're not there, right.
- 2:10I was just arguing for fun do. You imagine that.
- 2:13Yeah, I never do that. Never.
- 2:15It's not like we haven't called this arguing ever after.
- 2:19Yeah, well, and I really back to being thankful, Yeah.
- 2:24And, and going through all of the food and all of that, we
- 2:27were thinking about what we could do to kind of honor the
- 2:30gratitude portion. And we've really, like I said,
- 2:35we're grateful for viewers, grateful for listeners.
- 2:38I'm grateful for the podcast and I've been really grateful for
- 2:44the music that we've gotten. Yes, the intro and outro to
- 2:48every single episode that we have.
- 2:51We're very grateful to our friends.
- 2:53Yeah, quirky. Quirky.
- 2:55Yeah. And we finally have been able to
- 2:58get into updating that episode that they gave us the
- 3:03opportunity to record our first live show.
- 3:07First I say. First, because there there will
- 3:09be more. We don't know when or where, but
- 3:12you know, we have designs. That first live show was such a
- 3:18surprise and such a fun thing to do that we never would have
- 3:22thought. And if you've been watching
- 3:24since the beginning, certainly there were a few episodes where
- 3:27we talked about the live show. We invited people out and some
- 3:30people showed and it was very cool.
- 3:32We had a total blast. It really was, and I know that
- 3:36we wanted to take this time before or right now to dedicate
- 3:40this episode to Quirky 'cause we are very grateful for that
- 3:45opportunity. Kind of helped me feel more like
- 3:48we were maybe doing something real.
- 3:51For sure. I mean, it's still sort of a
- 3:53shocking thing to think about that a band would say, hey,
- 3:58would you like to open for us? And still I'm in my brain, I'm
- 4:02thinking, well, that doesn't make any sense because we're a
- 4:05podcast. And yet it worked out really
- 4:08well. It did.
- 4:09It was well received by all peoples.
- 4:12Yeah, yeah. And I've had, we've had a ton of
- 4:13people ask us if we will ever release that episode.
- 4:18And for me, it was such a awesome experience.
- 4:22I wanted it to be perfect. I can't get perfect, you know, I
- 4:31can't get perfect, so. I was perfect.
- 4:33Well, I know I meant like the show was perfect, but like
- 4:36getting the audio turned out perfect.
- 4:38I can't. We can't get to that and so.
- 4:41It got really close to OK. Yeah, yeah.
- 4:45But we did a lot of work to try to get it so that our people who
- 4:48couldn't make it for whatever reason, I could listen.
- 4:52And then those who were there who really had a blast in it
- 4:54could hear it again. Live, you know, so or not live.
- 4:58Not live. Not live at all.
- 5:00Recorded I think. Recorded.
- 5:01Yeah. Is that what that is?
- 5:04And is it? What's?
- 5:05The thing when it comes back and reruns, I don't know,
- 5:07syndicated. Oh, it's our syndicated positive
- 5:11episode. I don't know.
- 5:13Using big words now. I feel like that there's like
- 5:16terms or legalities that come up with that, but.
- 5:19Only if we're making money. I don't think anyone.
- 5:22Cares yet? No, I don't think they do.
- 5:23But. It's for the joy people.
- 5:25But yeah, so I mean, really, like I said, this is, this is
- 5:28their. It was a big deal for us.
- 5:30We were grateful for it. Yeah, again, thank you, Quirky
- 5:36for being awesome, first of all, and being our friends second of
- 5:40all. Yes, yes.
- 5:40And then the outro and the intro and the live show was super fun.
- 5:44Yeah, maybe one day we'll get super famous and we can return
- 5:47the favor and let them open for us.
- 5:50That would be a. Hilarious.
- 5:51Snap. I don't know, I don't even like
- 5:53I can't even think of that possibility, but maybe you never
- 5:57know. I mean, we're growing slowly but
- 5:59surely at A at a great pace and we really have enjoyed all the
- 6:04support. So I think this episode will be
- 6:08kind of fun for people. We did our big question at the
- 6:12end like we usually do. So you can vote now.
- 6:18I mean, I I did win. She won the Live the Live
- 6:22contest. Did I just spoil that?
- 6:24Was that a spoiler? It was a spoiler, but that's OK.
- 6:26Well, anyhow, because. It already actually happened.
- 6:28It did actually already happen, yes, but.
- 6:32But why not open it up to more people is what you're saying?
- 6:34Are we revoting? What if I win this vote 'cause
- 6:38maybe I will and then do we technically tie?
- 6:40No, I think for science. I think, I think if I win, then
- 6:44I get a win. And if you win, you're still
- 6:46winning. I mean, I've won the most
- 6:49important portion, which was the first part, but I, I mean, I'm
- 6:52curious, you know, 'cause you'll see when you listen.
- 6:57I'm wondering if expanding the audience might change the
- 7:01outcome. I sure hope so.
- 7:02I'm thrilled to see what the vote turns out.
- 7:04Watch I'll just get smoked again.
- 7:06And I hope so. Oh God.
- 7:08Yeah, yeah, yeah, that would be fun.
- 7:10Well anyhow, so we hope you enjoy our live show.
- 7:14Thanks for checking it out y'all.
- 7:33Hello everyone. Hello.
- 7:35We can't see any of you, which is probably for the best, and
- 7:39you can see us, which might be for the worst.
- 7:41Sorry so here. We are and we are.
- 7:45Our lower. The Lord and Lanie who lock
- 7:48horns. The county Countess after
- 7:51tension. The Duke and Duchess of
- 7:53Disagreement. And the.
- 7:55Queen of. Fours and in our podcast, if
- 7:59you've never heard it, we talked about how long we've been
- 8:00together. Usually there's some sort of
- 8:02little twip about the 90s because we've been together well
- 8:05since the 90s. And if any of you are could have
- 8:08had, that's a long time. If you're bad at math, it's also
- 8:12a long time. It is a very long time.
- 8:15Coming up next week will be our 22 year wedding anniversary,
- 8:22which is really so much that amazing.
- 8:24I agree. It is very amazing.
- 8:26That I've put up with her for this long.
- 8:27It's like I almost sat there in reverse, but it just felt right.
- 8:35Yeah, I mean, it's amazing that I have chosen to be with you
- 8:40every day. Since.
- 8:43We got together. She turned a little eyelash
- 8:49flutter happening. I don't know if you guys can see
- 8:50that, but to to practice skill where she flutters around and as
- 8:53well why you can get at the same time.
- 8:55It is well, we did want to let everybody know who hasn't ever
- 9:00heard us before. We are podcasts available on all
- 9:03of the podcast sites, so please find us Arguing Ever After and
- 9:10we're going to hope to entertaining you all today.
- 9:13But how? With music.
- 9:15Because we don't play music. We do not and we hope that a
- 9:19little bit later he would enjoy that because I know that's why
- 9:21he wants to be gravitable pain here today.
- 9:24Yeah, I assume everyone came out to see the bands that are
- 9:27actually bands Today. We're working on series for
- 9:30them. Dana's Mommy Log Balls and the
- 9:40reason we're here is because we're friends with a couple of
- 9:45people that are in an intricately whooping with
- 9:49quirky. One of them was a Co worker on
- 9:51my wife and we've known them for quite some time and we started
- 9:56this podcast like a Wapping 3-4 months ago.
- 10:00No, it's. Months ago it was right.
- 10:02It was only a couple months ago. Well, June was.
- 10:07It doesn't matter. Four times?
- 10:09Yeah, Four months. Ago so we're like 10 episodes in
- 10:13so we don't really have that much experience but we've been
- 10:16having a lot of fun and we have loyal listeners, which is also
- 10:20pretty awesome so when we were asked to open for this we were
- 10:25like. We're like, wait, you want a
- 10:27podcast to open for a band music venue?
- 10:31I don't get it. Yeah, OK, we're in.
- 10:33We're going. To try, and we're not really
- 10:35like comedians or anything like that.
- 10:37Gorgeous. Yes, don't get your home phone
- 10:39that we like. Prepare joking material.
- 10:42We've just been together a lot of time and argue about petty
- 10:45shit so. Yeah.
- 10:47That's like what we do. And if anyone out there is in a
- 10:50long term relationship where you've been married for a while,
- 10:52you would be the same thing. You just haven't started
- 10:55reporting. Yeah.
- 10:56It's a lot of fun to report now what we were talking about, what
- 10:59we were going to talk about here.
- 11:00We we had to come up with a topic and that's one of the
- 11:03things we do is we come up with a topic for every episode.
- 11:07And this is not an episode. I don't know if it'll ever
- 11:09record properly, but we decided we wanted to talk about live
- 11:13music since that's really why you all are here.
- 11:17OK, it was. Yes.
- 11:18And you wanted a topic to talk about.
- 11:20It really is, and we've been fortunate in our lives to be
- 11:24able to see some really great live bands like B.B.
- 11:30King. Oh, and try and play our new
- 11:37Steelers. His thing is guitar.
- 11:40We did. We did.
- 11:42And Etta James. Etta fucking James.
- 11:45Yeah, that was amazing. Yes.
- 11:49But we've seen some other things that are making, you know, more
- 11:51contemporary. What I'd have to say, my
- 11:55favorite concert of all times was when we saw Aretha Franklin
- 11:59streaming down from heaven and giving us the most borgeous
- 12:04voice ever. It was unforgettable.
- 12:09We were very fortunate. We both sing.
- 12:11A lot of you missed. Another, let's say, Oh, oh Al
- 12:15breathe. Oh, Al Breathe.
- 12:17Yeah, that's really unexpected. We used to staying together.
- 12:21He did. He did.
- 12:23Which was pretty nice it. Was yeah, that's.
- 12:27Yeah, so we've seen some legends, some of whom are no
- 12:29longer with us. Yeah, yeah.
- 12:34But then we've also had opportunity to see some folks
- 12:37that, you know, we're a little bit more nostalgia for our life,
- 12:40right? Like, yeah, when you see people
- 12:44our age at concerts. But our it seems like to the
- 12:49east. 27 You know, they haven't, They haven't changed, folks.
- 12:56They haven't changed at all. We went to a Brelean Wild
- 13:00concert with Ginuwine like. Oh my God that was the craziest
- 13:05concert. It was it.
- 13:06Was I was called like ladies of R&D extravaganza or something,
- 13:12right at the Ortheum Theatre, Yeah, in Minneapolis.
- 13:15Yeah, that was super crazy. Uh huh.
- 13:18There was a fight behind us between all the women in their
- 13:2140s. It was amazing.
- 13:24I. Don't know what they were
- 13:26fighting about but they got like an actual bundling fist fight.
- 13:29And the groupies. Well, yeah, well.
- 13:32Those herpes were rated X. They were.
- 13:35They were ready to join the band in the back.
- 13:37They they were there, which was again, it's, it's amazing to see
- 13:42how much people don't change with time, right.
- 13:45Yeah, we've also we, we, so we have this daughter who's like 13
- 13:52years old. And if you're, if you have
- 13:56children, a lot of times they're going to like the kind of music
- 13:59you like, right. So we, it will take her to a
- 14:03couple of really cool answers. That's true.
- 14:06That's said they were all ages. All ages.
- 14:09That means they will likely exherve money from all of the
- 14:12ages. Yes.
- 14:15Their content editor isn't necessarily, you know, thinking
- 14:18about a family. I have felt like a really bad
- 14:21parent taking her to these concerts 2 * 2 times.
- 14:27It's quite something to be so we saw.
- 14:33I'm going to. Say it.
- 14:34We saw Usher. Usher.
- 14:36Hey, Alice. Yes, totally awesome.
- 14:40It was wonderful. I'm going to say I'm sorry to
- 14:43the family in the room because they're going to hear this, but
- 14:47from the top of whatever that was, the Target Center, there
- 14:50were two strippers circling down the.
- 14:54Pool all the way from the top of the.
- 14:56And our daughter was next to us. One only went upside down.
- 14:59Yeah. In the middle of the world.
- 15:01Yeah, it touched her land flower.
- 15:03Yeah, it was quite amazing. And Usher walked around the
- 15:07audience and said women cherries in their mouths in a very sexual
- 15:12way. Yes.
- 15:14So it's awkward when you're with your parents seeing sexual
- 15:18things. I.
- 15:23It's even more awkward with your child.
- 15:26I didn't know that would be so bad and like the amount of times
- 15:31I was covering their eyes. Oh, it was bad.
- 15:35Yeah, it was like you were wanting an R rated movie when
- 15:37she was full of. Right.
- 15:39Oh, it was. Like oh you can't see the the
- 15:41shadow box sex scene it was produced.
- 15:44Now I do recommend going to see it, but do not bring anyone
- 15:48under the age of 30. So we have It's not a real
- 15:53world. Maybe we say that's the Guild
- 15:56team because it's they can make their own choices for Schweller.
- 16:00But then the other one we went to, we have gone to see Neo.
- 16:05She really likes Neo, along with Mary J Blige, which is my love,
- 16:15right? And so we go to that concert
- 16:18and. She's my real love.
- 16:26But so the other thing though there was we had the Neo, which
- 16:29was great and Mario with, I mean, I hope, you know, if you
- 16:33don't listen to him, he's pretty awesome.
- 16:36And there was a little bit of the sexy stuff going on there
- 16:39too, which was also awkward. But the worst part is, like I
- 16:42said, doesn't matter what age you are, you're still going to
- 16:46that concert as the same person. And there was so much pot smoke.
- 16:53So much it. Was.
- 16:54So bad. Everybody we were not.
- 16:58That was not our intention. It was not our attention.
- 17:02It was like, why is there so much smoke everywhere?
- 17:09And we're like, Oh my God, if we leave.
- 17:13No, because this is the only time to see Mary J Blige.
- 17:16I'm not going to leave this, but but she got to learn about that.
- 17:21I mean, she's in middle school, so I'm sure she's melted a few
- 17:23times before. But you know, it's, it's really
- 17:27different when you're like, OK, great.
- 17:29We're going to get home from this concert and everyone is
- 17:33going to take a shower immediately.
- 17:35Our clothes are going to stay outside until they can go into
- 17:39the washing machine. And after that concert, now,
- 17:43mind you, she's been asking us to go to every concert we went
- 17:46to before. After that concert, she said to
- 17:49us, I don't know that type of concerts with you anymore.
- 17:57We've asked her a couple times after that and she's like, oh.
- 18:01No thanks, y'all are too wild so I don't know.
- 18:05It's pretty awesome though. But thinking about the great
- 18:10things we've been able to fill in seed.
- 18:13Well, Luke, let me ask you a question.
- 18:15Oh. Wow here we go so this steeple
- 18:19is the moment you've all been waiting for in this corner.
- 18:23We have amber playing until we had at 135 counts yes and today
- 18:30under how old is sparkly sparkly lace?
- 18:33She brings supreme mind powering, which she's probably
- 18:37going to need today to defeat me and in this epic battle.
- 18:42And in this corner we have Luke and he is sporting all of the
- 18:46technical abilities today. So I will thank you for that.
- 18:51Thanks Johnny, here the. Man, yes, I mean, yeah, thank
- 18:55you. But we have this thing where we
- 18:58tally our fights and what is 1? That's close to remember this.
- 19:03Part I do remember. This bring the foresight,
- 19:06remember? Look, right now the tally is I
- 19:10read 15. Luke has lost or 1/3.
- 19:15We're at a tie. This one, this one will count,
- 19:21but I don't know where we're going to count it.
- 19:23So we also have the. Secret bonus.
- 19:26We do have a couple secret bonus but so I have a question.
- 19:31Before I move, oh boy, would you tell me?
- 19:34Given all of the awesome shows we've been to and how important
- 19:40it is to see people live, what musician or band, dead or alive,
- 19:49would you want? To see him, Oh my goodness, I
- 19:56bet you everyone who is proud as an answer to that question.
- 19:59But they do too. And it's a soft watch, too.
- 20:04And it is. Because there's a lot of music
- 20:06that's happened in the lice in general, I mean, and there's so
- 20:11many different kinds of music. And then you think of, like,
- 20:14solo artists and you think of bands and you think I can.
- 20:18In the lead up to today, I was thinking about composers from
- 20:22like, literally concert. Yeah, stuff.
- 20:27I mean, the amount of people you can put in that one, Who's the
- 20:30choice? Who would you see?
- 20:31General Hawaii is almost endless.
- 20:36And I deliberate it. And I went back and forth a
- 20:39bunch of times. Even today, I wasn't even white,
- 20:42Sir. I'm like, how do you answer to
- 20:44such a question? It's almost a monster.
- 20:47And I said a lot, though technically a couple of the
- 20:52members are still alive, a couple of them aren't.
- 20:56They can be alive, Dad. Of war.
- 20:58I know, I know, but for me it's the whole name.
- 21:03If they were all still alive and kicking it.
- 21:07The Beatles. There's at least a few people
- 21:11who are fans of The Beatles. I might have heard of Blue out
- 21:14there. Oh goodness.
- 21:16So is it local people that aren't the other names?
- 21:20The ones who might have. I'm literally one of these to be
- 21:23your pet, so I'm not stomping on here.
- 21:25Yeah. I honestly, I used to tell Luke
- 21:28who I have. Yeah, I don't know if she's
- 21:29going to pick. Just so you guys know, there are
- 21:31no deals. She won't tell me sometimes what
- 21:34the question is and sometimes what her answer is.
- 21:37And I'm like, don't be yours is going to freestyle.
- 21:39I it's not it's not fair 5 to 3. It's not fair if I'm looking
- 21:44revise the rules a little bit anyway.
- 21:47So some of the other ones I went to might have.
- 21:49These are like my immediate answers.
- 21:50It was like Jimi Hendrix. Yeah.
- 21:53And that was Jimi. This is awesome.
- 21:55And then I, I, my research was I listened to him driving back and
- 22:01forth to work. I have like a 45 minute or an
- 22:03hour commute in traffic, so that's plenty of time to like
- 22:06listen to audiobooks and podcasts.
- 22:08And I use it and I do old music and music and I go through
- 22:11phases and stuff. So I went through a little Jimmy
- 22:14phase for a popular days and it was awesome.
- 22:17Oh, I bet. I mean that dude becomes bigger
- 22:19too. Yes, yes, he's I.
- 22:21Think there might not be anyone that's quite that like man, like
- 22:26he was like a, he was like a walking guitar.
- 22:29I don't know how to do it anyway.
- 22:32And then I thought, oh shit, what about Led Zeppelin?
- 22:37Good Lord. She's like, oh, who cares?
- 22:39I didn't care. I'm gonna start playing in my
- 22:42head and I'm like Chin and I'm like.
- 22:46We promised we weren't. That as sweet, I mean like
- 22:50literally a little crazy. So I had a couple days with
- 22:53Jimmy, a couple days with Led Zeppelin, couple days with Queen
- 22:56and it was awesome. So if anyone wants to have a
- 22:58good time, just go do that. Yes.
- 23:01And then as my list was like coming to a close, I was like,
- 23:09they all got something and they all have some hits and they all
- 23:13have the singing musical talent. But then I thought of them
- 23:17Beatles, Beatles song. I can't, I don't have to.
- 23:25That wasn't the question. So the follow on the field here
- 23:29don't try to hit me with another one.
- 23:32So I actually was trying to think of that because and I and
- 23:36I can't There's like too many of them.
- 23:37There's like, I mean, there's so many come so many of their
- 23:41different thing uses of there's like the popular stuff.
- 23:44But yesterday and she loved swimming and hold your hand.
- 23:49Like there's literally a list of like 20 songs that everybody
- 23:52knows in every house that we were in the film.
- 23:55And then I was like, OK, but there's also some still popular,
- 23:58but not quite as popular. Like I want to really be some of
- 24:02this. I think there's I literally
- 24:04don't think I could think of something because they have so
- 24:07many songs. And one of the things that I
- 24:10love about The Beatles is that they did something that that no
- 24:16one ever did before. Like they told their story, but
- 24:19like in a way that they wanted to be running.
- 24:22Bring me with them and I have a party.
- 24:25It was awesome. And a lot of people have done
- 24:27that. So like Rock'n'roll was, I would
- 24:31say, as is Jazzer partially defined by their fame because
- 24:36they came up to fame in the early 60s.
- 24:40Rock'n'roll, that's known what happened.
- 24:43I still want Rally to tell you. But what they did, I mean, they
- 24:48actually by the northern influential thought and say, but
- 24:51like what they did was they did something that really had, you
- 24:56know, stars. I mean, they did.
- 24:58There's a thing called Beetlemania.
- 25:00We didn't have this, which was a little too much and people
- 25:03literally lost their lives. Did you know it was a fake?
- 25:06Beaten this. It was a fake.
- 25:07Beatles. It was a fake Beatles and it was
- 25:10an American Dan. It was an American Dan, and they
- 25:13went down to South America and everybody popped in for getting
- 25:16tickets to The Beatles and they were getting like a bunch of
- 25:18eyes for a ticket. They called themselves.
- 25:21They did. They called.
- 25:24Yeah. There's a podcast about like Not
- 25:31Ours. But listen to the spot.
- 25:34I have. And you did some research too.
- 25:36Dude, Nope. Not for this, I suppose, just by
- 25:38all my own listening. I'm always scared of your
- 25:41research, but sometimes it was damages.
- 25:43I so one of the funny things the ongoing situation is in our
- 25:47podcast. So the reason she's probably
- 25:48wouldn't she intentionally does research and like recorded and
- 25:54I'm like, what are we talking about?
- 25:56And she's like, this is and I know what's the question and
- 26:00she's like, I want to tell you and then I go, what's your
- 26:03answer? And she's like, no, you don't
- 26:04get it, let's go, let's have it. So that's probably a recent sort
- 26:09of win. But I like thinking to the
- 26:11research. I did some research and he was
- 26:14just listening to the research, which was really fun.
- 26:17So anyway, when I I mean, ultimately after, you know, it's
- 26:22like the other ones felt like I was eating right and it was
- 26:29like, the fuck yeah. These guys have so much saved
- 26:33presence and charisma or whatever.
- 26:34But The Beatles were like a genre bending powerhouse
- 26:40scribbly to tie your loyal to watch.
- 26:43And it was like at a time of history, social upheaval was
- 26:48going wild. And they stood out for Temple
- 26:52and they make songs about it. John wanted his life well known
- 26:57for those stand for rights and for people, which was very and I
- 27:06just like I think think of like this.
- 27:09Other than that would compete with someone that has that like
- 27:15duration catalog #1 yes, reads over the generations.
- 27:23Look at you, you're like like she's like a sniper getting
- 27:27ready, Steve. So for me ultimately, like
- 27:31that's why I chose to be like there's a chance to like tonight
- 27:37because you guys are going to quote.
- 27:39I don't know if we told you that, by the way, there is a
- 27:42chance that they might be what real contenders who I still
- 27:46don't know. So that's my argument.
- 27:52Let's hear what Unicron to this. Hey, I like you when I started
- 27:59thinking thank. You, that's not great.
- 28:03Okay, yeah, she wasn't saying. I don't.
- 28:05I wasn't actually saying that, but like you, I had thought of a
- 28:11couple of the same people too. I of course thought of Jimi
- 28:15Hendrix. How do you know?
- 28:16First thing from And then I was thinking of some things that
- 28:22were maybe closer to me, right? Like music that I felt in my
- 28:27heart when I was younger or, you know, formative years, you know.
- 28:31So I thought of, I really had to go with that dead question,
- 28:34right, 'cause like, you have a lag and that's great, but still
- 28:37I get to see them. But if I could just magic, magic
- 28:41it and haven't happened. And I thought, well, you know,
- 28:44baby Nirvana, 'cause I really loved Nirvana when I was
- 28:47younger. And then I thought, sublime.
- 28:56Yeah, yes, because Sublime's pretty freaking awesome.
- 29:00At least the practice. Santolia.
- 29:03You. Still have a crystal ball?
- 29:05I I don't have it first of all. I don't think I've ever had a
- 29:09crystal. I also haven't had $1,000,000
- 29:14so, but I was like, you know, I mean, those are small catalogs.
- 29:19So I agree with you about the large catalog.
- 29:21And do you want to go to a show where it's like, you know, and
- 29:25they can keep going? And so then I was thinking, I
- 29:29really enjoyed seeing all of these grapes.
- 29:34Yes, Keisha Poros, we have solar.
- 29:39The Queen of Solar. We have R&B, E and Sweet being
- 29:53us being the Lord and Lady. Good luck for worries.
- 29:56I think you know OK. I I almost went to, almost went
- 30:04to the King of Rock'n'roll. That's why clouded Alice.
- 30:08It's like, no, Oh my goodness, I.
- 30:11Think this land. And I mean, I really do
- 30:13appreciate Elvis a lot. Elvis.
- 30:16Yes, yes. I mean, who doesn't love Elvis?
- 30:19Who? Else loves.
- 30:21She has no idea I'm so. Excited.
- 30:23She's going to say it and I'm going to be like.
- 30:26I don't know if you are going to agree with me this is this is
- 30:30just you I would see and I, I agree with you about the large
- 30:34catalog. I agree with you about like
- 30:40ability right? So I had to think of a musician,
- 30:43songwriter, comozer and play over 20 instruments.
- 30:53Prince. I'm super now, right now.
- 31:03Prince is such a groundbreaker. He started just listening.
- 31:11The incredible movement. He is local, so he does warm my
- 31:16heart. Like, I mean, so many people we
- 31:18know or have met not necessarily know but have their own personal
- 31:23story about Prince. That's true.
- 31:27I know people who would have gone to concerts.
- 31:29It's one of those things I just really regret never doing.
- 31:34How did we know? How did we know?
- 31:36I mean, he had just awesome music.
- 31:39And still to this day, when I hear When Doves Cry, chills,
- 31:44chills, you know, my favorite song that I can listen on repeat
- 31:50over and over and over again. 7 I don't know, like, just those
- 31:55songs are for me within my memory and within my period.
- 32:00And to watch that I didn't even know how soon she was right.
- 32:04Like, we liked him, but he didn't know what it is that she
- 32:07was really having throughout the world.
- 32:09And to put Minnesota on the map like that.
- 32:12How do I not make friends? How do I not pick him?
- 32:18So last night. I agree that this was.
- 32:24Fantastic, yeah. I mean like I think of the sauce
- 32:28too, and I'm like he didn't really did his name to win the
- 32:32he was like another kind of Sean's with that big.
- 32:37Yeah, without a doubt it. Was like rocking, he was
- 32:40popping, he was funking, he was solo.
- 32:42He was like, let's put it all together And then sometimes
- 32:44let's be funks, let's be solo. That's like he had a, he had a
- 32:48solo I think for each one. And he made a vow, and I believe
- 32:52he did, that he was going to force every day.
- 32:56And he has this vault somewhere. It's probably in place like
- 33:00Marx. No, it's true.
- 33:03It's true. There's a vault filled with his
- 33:05music. So we're still going to be able
- 33:06to enjoy him for years and years and years, new music, which is
- 33:12amazing for me. The other thing is he was a
- 33:15humble guy. Like he did a lot of
- 33:17philanthropy that we didn't even know about until after he died.
- 33:20He didn't want to share it with the world.
- 33:22He was quiet living, but he made major strides.
- 33:25So that's who I got to go with, without a doubt.
- 33:30Oh that's a pretty soft and Joel who's going to go with what's
- 33:36going on that The Beatles would be second place, but we are in
- 33:40Minnesota, so I. Mean also I love Prince.
- 33:54And record sale the world distribution.
- 33:57I don't know how many. You don't know.
- 33:59I don't know how many records The Beatles sold because I
- 34:02didn't do that research, because I was doing research on my own.
- 34:06They had how many more years to do it?
- 34:10They did how many more years to as a band before?
- 34:14No, Mike Wayne is when they started, and they're still.
- 34:16They're still. Selling Rick.
- 34:18Started. They're not selling music.
- 34:20They're dead. We're talking about 1.
- 34:23Oh, we're. Trying to do that sneaky thingy
- 34:25just sometimes, you know, I'd say it as a blue phone school
- 34:30Walker. John Lennon was assassinated.
- 34:35Oh, OK, fine. But I'm saying when you're
- 34:36talking about records sold like you know, I'm assuming you're
- 34:39saying throughout from when they sold it to now, right?
- 34:44Well, oh OK, well, I the. Records that they were an
- 34:48audience as a four person. Man, how many?
- 34:51I don't actually, no, it's a lot.
- 34:53It's probably. I know how that rates were for
- 34:56it because I doesn't. Over. 40.
- 35:01Angelina record sales and Reese and evils are like they're like
- 35:07not Michael Jackson status like they sold so many records that
- 35:11like. I guess that is.
- 35:13I don't know. I'm going to guess over.
- 35:15I don't. I don't actually.
- 35:17Oh, I don't know how many. Over 150 million.
- 35:20Do we have an audience? Can we get a record for stuff?
- 35:24The Beatles are the are the little.
- 35:28So what do they sell more than the F frequent 6?
- 35:356. 100 million units. But it's who I want to see.
- 35:42I understand. But.
- 35:44Not who the thing they're going to go or because that's how the
- 35:50podcast works is they have to say somebody else like it'd be
- 35:54fun, but. I mean, they get to do it on
- 35:56their own and for. Real this was hard and I hope we
- 35:58never offend anybody with our choices.
- 36:01I almost figured out this too. Like there's so many people is
- 36:06it's amazing to. Me, it had to be what was in my
- 36:09heart, you know so. All right, I love it.
- 36:15But that's what I agree with the the generic audience, at least
- 36:20one person. Not so like our Hotmail, like
- 36:23there's at least one viewer. We have at least one audience
- 36:26who agrees with me, and we'll give.
- 36:28You that. Oh yeah, that's who's bad.
- 36:35Thank you again. It's personal reference as to
- 36:38give you what So now I think we need audience both, don't you?
- 36:43I mean, so I just found people like The Beatles.
- 36:46We don't. Have like anything official, but
- 36:50maybe we'll just go based on. What we have to do, don't do
- 36:54that thing. I just want to say like I've
- 36:55been to a lot of concerts, don't do that thing.
- 36:57We have lot of times because then we all know the difference.
- 37:00You're an asshole. No, just click the line and.
- 37:04It's just fine. Do it right here.
- 37:05Yes, yes. Like what?
- 37:06The guy says everyone on the left and people on the right
- 37:09better not say shit. OK, Anyway, So yeah, we'll do a
- 37:14a, a pause or they can't see it literally, but yeah.
- 37:17So. Glad.
- 37:18I need to see your. Knee of your face, yes, we're
- 37:21just having fun. So the question being dead or
- 37:26alive? Who would you rather?
- 37:29See in concert and my choice is The Beatles.
- 37:34Let's hear it. OK I feel good but I don't know
- 37:41if I feel like. And my choice is the one that
- 37:51taught us what it sounds like when Doves spray.
- 37:55It's the one he told us to party like it's 1999, he grants
- 38:03himself. That was fairly resounding when
- 38:16I need to learn how to. You do.
- 38:18That's super easy. There's this thing called Google
- 38:21and it literally has all these answers for you.
- 38:26I know he does Well, so yeah, that is essentially what we do
- 38:31on our podcast every week on Tuesdays.
- 38:35You could watch us. You want to see our beautiful
- 38:38faces? Arts and Russians, Sir?
- 38:40Spotify. You do what?
- 38:44We're playing stuff like an old school podcaster.
- 38:49You did listen to us on any streaming podcast thing, but
- 38:54this was pretty awesome. We had a lot of thoughts
- 38:56tonight. Thank you for bearing with us.
- 38:59We did not bring any talent. Yes, stream.
- 39:04Well now that's still yeah, entertainment, hopefully
- 39:10entertainment, you know earthquake garage.
- 39:13But besides the horses which you've never done by we did
- 39:16bring in a couple of two stirs that we made 2016.
- 39:19So we didn't want to buy it even if we could like do if anyone
- 39:23thing or gas or something we don't have we don't have any we
- 39:25have names, no dollar. So we don't have any actually
- 39:28could go on one side to use that's official.
- 39:33You know you all are here on the ground level, so thank you for
- 39:37listening and please get ready for some awesome music.
- 39:41The wonderful theater. Porquino gave us our theme.
- 39:46We are so grateful for that in this opportunity today.
- 39:49So thank you all.
