- 0:54Speaker 1: been you talk about a weekend, the sports and events
- 0:57Speaker 1: that it was.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Wow.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Okay, first, a hello to the one and only Kno Yes,
- 1:04Speaker 1: hello with it.
- 1:06Speaker 2: For some reason, dressed.
- 1:07Speaker 1: In a flannel shirt today. I know, but it's you know,
- 1:12Speaker 1: I mean yeah, but yeah, you're starting to dress like
- 1:15Speaker 1: a lesbian, you know, I mean, you know, the flannel tops.
- 1:20Speaker 2: As a friend of mine.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Would say, are you also are you also wearing stout shoes?
- 1:27Speaker 2: She always made friend.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Of okay leave leave him alone.
- 1:32Speaker 2: His super broke down this morning so he's in a
- 1:35Speaker 2: bad mode. Yeah.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Uh. And Amy Disneyland.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Sure.
- 1:41Speaker 1: So now you're away from No, you have to come
- 1:43Speaker 1: back to the World Series with.
- 1:46Speaker 2: The game.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Oh my god, that last game, the sweet I mean,
- 1:51Speaker 1: I'm leading everything from the New York Times to any
- 1:56Speaker 1: you know, the Kenyan Daily where they talk about show
- 1:59Speaker 1: hey o'tany possibly the greatest game any ballplayer has ever played.
- 2:05Speaker 4: It's astounding, legendary.
- 2:07Speaker 2: It is. No, he's.
- 2:11Speaker 1: He's well on his way to being becoming the greatest
- 2:13Speaker 1: ball player that ever lived. And he's probably gonna do
- 2:16Speaker 1: it in a much shorter time than, for example, Babe
- 2:19Speaker 1: Ruth did it, who has never called that during the
- 2:21Speaker 1: course of his career. Anyway, So we'll talk more about that.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I don't know how much we're going to talk about that,
- 2:27Speaker 1: but it was really worth noting.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Uh.
- 2:28Speaker 1: And then there's Neil Good morning, Neil, good morning, Willie
- 2:32Speaker 1: Wolf nice nice talking to you again, Yes, and then
- 2:36Speaker 1: will good morning, good morning Bill. All right, everybody's happy,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and then the lovely Ann good morning.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Okay, a couple of things that I want to share
- 2:46Speaker 1: we all should share. First of all, of course, the
- 2:48Speaker 1: Dodgers are on their way to the World Series. They
- 2:50Speaker 1: swept four games to zero, and the only people upset
- 2:56Speaker 1: about that are not only the brewers and people since,
- 3:00Speaker 1: but KFI salesforce really angry that they only had four
- 3:05Speaker 1: games to sell commercials to as opposed to seven, So
- 3:09Speaker 1: they're a little distressed about that. Although happy about the
- 3:12Speaker 1: World Series. The other thing is the protests. No King's
- 3:17Speaker 1: Day I have posted up on my on the Instagram
- 3:23Speaker 1: at bill handle show. Uh, this is the first time
- 3:26Speaker 1: I have ever been to a protest in my life.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I was there protesting. I saw the pictures. You were
- 3:30Speaker 1: surrounded by these like giant blow up dolls. Oh yeah, those,
- 3:34Speaker 1: I mean the costumes were hilarious and they weren't.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Like blow up dolls like you would think of blow
- 3:39Speaker 4: up dolls.
- 3:40Speaker 1: No, no, no, not like Japanese blow up dolls, the
- 3:42Speaker 1: kind that I had collection I've been using for years. No,
- 3:46Speaker 1: not those blow up but yeah, it was that was
- 3:50Speaker 1: part of it. In The costumes were hilarious, and the
- 3:53Speaker 1: and and the signs were so clever.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Uh, there was.
- 3:57Speaker 1: It was just a lot of fun. And a few
- 3:59Speaker 1: people came and by who are Trump supporters? One had
- 4:03Speaker 1: the giant flag, the American flag with that Trump flag
- 4:07Speaker 1: on the back of the pickup truck driving down just
- 4:10Speaker 1: to get everybody upset, and people just kept waving high
- 4:13Speaker 1: love you.
- 4:14Speaker 2: You know, they just refuse to get into it. It was.
- 4:18Speaker 1: It was a party hoping that Trump is somehow deposed.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Not to be sappy.
- 4:24Speaker 3: But don't When you see that and you see all
- 4:27Speaker 3: the people that came out on television, doesn't it remind
- 4:33Speaker 3: you of we the people, the whole. Yeah, because I
- 4:36Speaker 3: say this all the time. Whoever's in office is in office.
- 4:38Speaker 3: But it has to land on us. We have to
- 4:42Speaker 3: push back when we don't like something in a way
- 4:45Speaker 3: that shows numbers not.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Right, they figure seven million across the country.
- 4:51Speaker 2: But that's powerful. It is powerful. Now is it going
- 4:54Speaker 2: to do anything?
- 4:55Speaker 1: No, what's going to do anything is going to be
- 4:57Speaker 1: the midterms that is going to really really heard one
- 5:03Speaker 1: I was watching on CNN. A pundit say they can
- 5:07Speaker 1: have a good time, they can wear costumes, the Democrats
- 5:10Speaker 1: should be out knocking on doors and pushing for the election.
- 5:14Speaker 2: He's absolutely right.
- 5:16Speaker 1: But in the meantime, Saturday was a great fund, great fund.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I was there on the street corner with my sign
- 5:22Speaker 1: and my thing was free press. You know, freedom of
- 5:25Speaker 1: the press, because I'm not very happy with a lot
- 5:29Speaker 1: of stuff that's going on. I'm not very happy with
- 5:31Speaker 1: a retribution that's happening at all, what's going on and
- 5:36Speaker 1: the attacks on the universities and corporations.
- 5:39Speaker 2: But the thing that.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Bothers me particularly is freedom of the freedom of the
- 5:43Speaker 1: press issue, because that's what we do and that's going
- 5:45Speaker 1: to make my living doing.
- 5:46Speaker 2: And it was.
- 5:49Speaker 1: It was kind of fun, you know, going to corporations,
- 5:53Speaker 1: Brandon Carr, the chair of the FCC, saying outright, we're
- 5:56Speaker 1: going to go after you. We're going to go after
- 5:59Speaker 1: the network square after the TV stations.
- 6:02Speaker 2: When Jimmy Kimmel was.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Canceled for thirty seconds, Carr said, this is just the
- 6:06Speaker 1: beginning of what the government's going to do. That's scary
- 6:08Speaker 1: to me. So I was freedom of the press. So
- 6:12Speaker 1: there I am holding out the street sign. It's on
- 6:15Speaker 1: the page. Next to me is Lindsay who made the signs.
- 6:20Speaker 1: It was hilarious. Trump said that there was not one
- 6:22Speaker 1: homemade sign up there. It was all professionally produced signs.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Nothing. But I tell you, I didn't see one. I
- 6:30Speaker 2: didn't see one sign that was printed like union signs.
- 6:35Speaker 4: So one right behind you in that picture, is there?
- 6:37Speaker 1: Yeah, one printed. I didn't see it was behind me,
- 6:40Speaker 1: but if you look at okay, so there was.
- 6:42Speaker 4: One and then there's another one the unicorns.
- 6:45Speaker 2: You know what, You're right? You know Trump is right.
- 6:48Speaker 1: There were only manufactured signs, even though ours were homemade.
- 6:54Speaker 1: We were the only ones out of seven million that
- 6:56Speaker 1: had homemade signed something.
- 6:58Speaker 3: And I don't know, I'm not going to say any names,
- 7:01Speaker 3: but whoever is controlling your Instagram account looks out there
- 7:05Speaker 3: not silencing opposition, but they come up as hidden. Every
- 7:13Speaker 3: single piece that was opposed was hidden on your account.
- 7:19Speaker 3: So just an FYI for from it, Lindsay. I don't
- 7:22Speaker 3: understand or they were.
- 7:24Speaker 1: So the stuff that she does block from my account
- 7:28Speaker 1: is the real vicious stuff mainly around about her.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I didn't. I didn't, I didn't see it.
- 7:35Speaker 1: But I must tell you that what is going on
- 7:37Speaker 1: as a result of all this is the accusation that
- 7:40Speaker 1: I have become much more liberal, uh and I no
- 7:43Speaker 1: longer have my own thinking that Lindsey is uh in
- 7:46Speaker 1: fact controlling my political feelings, that I am following her orders.
- 7:52Speaker 1: First time you ever went to a protest, Yeah, it
- 7:54Speaker 1: was first time I ever went to a protest, and
- 7:57Speaker 1: I was going to, you know, Lindsey controlling my life.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I was going to respond, but I was so busy
- 8:03Speaker 1: running one of the Lindsay's errands that she asked me
- 8:06Speaker 1: to do. I didn't have time to do it, so
- 8:09Speaker 1: she did it. The other thing I want to point out,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and that was fine. I got a lot of people
- 8:13Speaker 1: said it was neat and a lot of people said no,
- 8:15Speaker 1: and there was a lot of attacks, which is fine.
- 8:18Speaker 3: I love the attacks because that's no side should ever
- 8:21Speaker 3: think people taking to the streets peacefully to protest is
- 8:24Speaker 3: a bad thing in the United States.
- 8:26Speaker 2: That's absolutely correct. That's absolutely correct, and it was.
- 8:28Speaker 1: That part of it was absolutely wonderful, absolutely wonderful and whipped.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I was, Yeah, of course I was, and will for
- 8:37Speaker 2: the rest of my life.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And I was hoping that there would be a declaration
- 8:42Speaker 1: of an open rebellion, but that would have just been entertaining,
- 8:45Speaker 1: but it didn't happen.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:47Speaker 1: The other thing I want to point out is the
- 8:49Speaker 1: gala for Katerina's Club was last night. Twenty years Yeah,
- 8:54Speaker 1: they have an annual gala and one of the things
- 8:57Speaker 1: that was up for that was up for auction was
- 9:03Speaker 1: dinner with me and Lenz at the White House restaurant,
- 9:07Speaker 1: so up to four people or two people could.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Have dinner with us.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Now, at first they put that up with a minimum
- 9:14Speaker 1: bid of twenty five hundred dollars. I went to Bruno
- 9:18Speaker 1: and I said, are you out of your mind? No,
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm not only to be embarrassed with no takers. It's
- 9:25Speaker 1: just not going to happen. So they went down with
- 9:27Speaker 1: one thousand dollars, and I knew I was going to
- 9:30Speaker 1: start bidding because I there was someone that was going
- 9:32Speaker 1: to pay a thousand dollars to have dinner with me.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And so I started the bidding at one thousand dollars,
- 9:38Speaker 1: fully prepared to pay one thousand dollars to have bidding
- 9:40Speaker 1: with to have dinner with me.
- 9:42Speaker 2: So I'd eat by myself. That's fine.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And do you know and this one stunned me. Do
- 9:50Speaker 1: you know how much money dinner went? Is going to
- 9:52Speaker 1: show you how generous people are? Fifteen thousand dollars nice
- 9:59Speaker 1: with you or without you, Well, it would have been
- 10:02Speaker 1: twenty thousand dollars without me, But fifteen thousand dollars, well,
- 10:06Speaker 1: you talk about generous.
- 10:07Speaker 2: It was just It was stunning. It really was. Do
- 10:11Speaker 2: they know who you are? No?
- 10:13Speaker 1: Okay, but it was it was just I think it
- 10:17Speaker 1: was the dinner at the White House, which if after Trump,
- 10:21Speaker 1: that'll be great.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I went up to I went up to the guy
- 10:25Speaker 1: who actually did the bidding and who won the dinner,
- 10:29Speaker 1: and I said to him, you know, I can arrange
- 10:33Speaker 1: dinner for you at the White White House restaurant for
- 10:35Speaker 1: a lot less than fifteen grand I just want to
- 10:38Speaker 1: point that out. He said, really, really, can I take
- 10:42Speaker 1: back my bed and I go? Maybe?
- 10:45Speaker 2: Maybe?
- 10:45Speaker 1: So anyway, there were some really neat things that happened
- 10:48Speaker 1: at the dinner. Of course, the food was utterly spectacular.
- 10:51Speaker 1: It was you know how you usually hit the rubber
- 10:54Speaker 1: chicken dinners whenever you go to these things. This is Bruno.
- 10:58Speaker 1: So we had this incredible steak and scampy that was
- 11:02Speaker 1: just so good.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Uh it was. It was good. It was good. So
- 11:08Speaker 2: what else is going on? That was just a lot
- 11:10Speaker 2: that was happening.
- 11:11Speaker 1: But we have to get into Okay, and is going
- 11:13Speaker 1: to start yelling at me because we haven't gotten into
- 11:16Speaker 1: the news yet. Although it was pretty auspicious the news,
- 11:20Speaker 1: let's do it handle on the news, Amy Neil and
- 11:23Speaker 1: me lead story. YEP, A lot of controversy over that
- 11:31Speaker 1: live fire exercise along Camp Pendleton and the five Freeway
- 11:38Speaker 1: goes right down there next to the beach where they
- 11:41Speaker 1: where the marines. They practiced amphibious landings, and there was
- 11:46Speaker 1: a whole issue. They're going to fire over the freeway
- 11:49Speaker 1: and going to shut down the five. And I'll do
- 11:52Speaker 1: this story later on because it is a great story.
- 11:56Speaker 1: And guess what they The five was not to be used.
- 12:00Speaker 1: They shut it down. I think it was the governor
- 12:02Speaker 1: shuts it down. But the fear was there would be
- 12:06Speaker 1: injuries and shrapnel and exploding bombs. And one did explode
- 12:11Speaker 1: and shrapnel was in fact released or one of the
- 12:16Speaker 1: bombs exploded. It was a shrapnell laden bomb and it
- 12:19Speaker 1: actually I hit it hit a police car. It also
- 12:23Speaker 1: hit many many cars and trucks and wiped out two
- 12:26Speaker 1: hundred and ninety six people.
- 12:27Speaker 2: That's absolutely old. I have that wrong.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Under ninety six the precision in which you said that.
- 12:37Speaker 2: And a thousand were wounded.
- 12:39Speaker 1: No, Amy, it was I think there was one scratch
- 12:42Speaker 1: or one dent on Yeah, yeah, it was just so.
- 12:46Speaker 1: But I think the story which is fun. Is it's
- 12:50Speaker 1: going to be safe? And then it was back and
- 12:52Speaker 1: forth what the Defense Department, the War Department, and it
- 12:56Speaker 1: was it became political.
- 12:58Speaker 2: It became another political fall everything.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know new some he loves shutting things down,
- 13:05Speaker 3: like the state.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it was the governor that shut it down. Originally
- 13:09Speaker 1: it was gonna be the Defense Department, and then the governor.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Did well, the Defense Department.
- 13:13Speaker 5: The Marines put out a statement and said, we did
- 13:15Speaker 5: all the safety training and all this stuff, but there's
- 13:17Speaker 5: no reason to they have no plans to close down
- 13:20Speaker 5: any public roadways.
- 13:21Speaker 4: And it was the governor who shut it.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Down, right, Okay, I stand corrected.
- 13:25Speaker 4: No, you said the governor shut it down. That's right,
- 13:27Speaker 4: but you.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Had mentioned that.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I thought that the the Defense Apartment also shut it down,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and then unshut it down and then the governor came in.
- 13:36Speaker 4: But is it that good that they did? No other
- 13:40Speaker 4: cars there, that's why.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it was it was.
- 13:42Speaker 4: You know the got hit.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Yeah, a car got hit, so it could have happened,
- 13:47Speaker 2: you know, it could have would should be Trump bad.
- 13:51Speaker 2: We get it. I'm just saying you're gonna blow everybody up.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I get you know, I get questions on handle on
- 13:56Speaker 1: the law where I could have been killed.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Yeah, but you weren't because you're talking to me.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Well, I walked out the door and then and I
- 14:05Speaker 1: fell on the sidewalk. I said, you walked out the door,
- 14:08Speaker 1: and you could argue that a meteorite could have taken
- 14:10Speaker 1: your head off, therefore you should get money. No, it
- 14:14Speaker 1: didn't happen, and it was just there was one bomb
- 14:18Speaker 1: that exploded prettymaturely, and you know, the governor was right
- 14:21Speaker 1: and shutting it down.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Now they had.
- 14:22Speaker 1: A million people been there, it wouldn't matter because other
- 14:27Speaker 1: than the scratch on the CHP car, all right, Moving.
- 14:30Speaker 5: On back online. So Amazon Web Services had a little issue.
- 14:35Speaker 5: They're saying that they don't think it was a cyber attack,
- 14:37Speaker 5: but it had issues with its cloud service operations that
- 14:41Speaker 5: disrupted hundreds of websites and apps for a couple of hours,
- 14:46Speaker 5: including gaming and entertainment services. The outages began shortly after midnight.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Our time down Detector said that there were problems with
- 14:56Speaker 5: major sites including Amazon, Venmo, Hulu, McDonald's, coin base, perplexity, roadblocks,
- 15:03Speaker 5: So it really was kind of white robin hood wide ranging.
- 15:08Speaker 5: But they're saying, we're back.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Don't know what caused it. They don't know yet. Door
- 15:14Speaker 2: haven't released the what caused the shutdown? Have they?
- 15:18Speaker 3: What a movie like heist? Can you believe this is somebody?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Bill?
- 15:23Speaker 3: You've done a lot of traveling. I know most of
- 15:25Speaker 3: us have been to this area. Thieves pulling off a
- 15:28Speaker 3: heist at the Louver sealing jewels once once worn by
- 15:33Speaker 3: French royalty.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Did you see the crane?
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I had brought in one of those cherry picker cranes.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Drove it right up next to the Louver pronounced Louvere
- 15:44Speaker 1: by the way, it's a louver.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Ay, yes, in its in its natural tongue lavvra.
- 15:51Speaker 1: And they got oh man, did they get some stuff?
- 15:53Speaker 1: And the museum was open. There were people in the room.
- 15:58Speaker 3: They just broke glass and they had to bypass a
- 16:01Speaker 3: couple of high tech security, I believe.
- 16:03Speaker 2: But in and out seven men. Who's gonna buy that? Like? Nobody?
- 16:09Speaker 2: Nobody who you're gonna tell?
- 16:11Speaker 1: Hey, you want to see my illegal I'll tell you
- 16:14Speaker 1: who might buy it.
- 16:15Speaker 2: There may be a private buyer, you say, Trump, so
- 16:18Speaker 2: help me go.
- 16:18Speaker 1: No, No, there may be a private buyer just to
- 16:22Speaker 1: have it in a glass case over the mantle and
- 16:25Speaker 1: just take a look and go.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Here you go.
- 16:27Speaker 5: I was saying, hearing that most likely they would disassemble
- 16:32Speaker 5: it and then sell.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Off the pieces guys or another thing. There was one
- 16:36Speaker 4: piece had twelve hundred diamonds in it.
- 16:40Speaker 3: But they haven't they You can't laser tiny tiny laser
- 16:44Speaker 3: etche serial numbers on these things. Now, they don't do
- 16:47Speaker 3: that to stuff like this.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Don't know, but that's that's that's actually a great point.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Strike and counter strike.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Israel has launched its heaviest wave of attacks on Gaza,
- 16:59Speaker 5: so the ceasefire too cold. A week ago, it temporarily
- 17:04Speaker 5: suspended humanitarian aid into Gaza after it says Hamas violated
- 17:10Speaker 5: the truths by firing on its soldiers firing into the
- 17:14Speaker 5: so called Yellow zone.
- 17:16Speaker 4: Two Israeli soldiers were killed. So in response, Israel launched
- 17:19Speaker 4: an attack, a large attack around Gaza. Yesterday, significant strikes
- 17:25Speaker 4: against Thomas targets were carried out. Forty people up to
- 17:30Speaker 4: forty people were killed.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Humanitarian aid was paused, but we talked to ABC's Jordana
- 17:35Speaker 5: Miller and she said that it's getting back in now.
- 17:38Speaker 4: They paused it during the strikes, but now it's back on.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Both sides are arguing the other side violated the truce
- 17:46Speaker 1: and who knows what when, But both sides are saying,
- 17:51Speaker 1: oh no, not us, they did it. And they're also saying,
- 17:56Speaker 1: look nothing on my sleeve. Oh they don't have sleeves
- 17:58Speaker 1: because they don't have arms.
- 18:00Speaker 2: People.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Okay, back we go. Not sure that meant never mind.
- 18:07Speaker 3: From one strike to another Kaiser Permandente. If you remember
- 18:13Speaker 3: our own Bill Handle was concerned that he wasn't going
- 18:15Speaker 3: to have good service. But they're back that five day
- 18:18Speaker 3: strike here in California and in Hawaii, thousands of unionized
- 18:24Speaker 3: Kaiser Permanente registered nurses, all kinds of I think it
- 18:28Speaker 3: was pharmaceutical personnel and stuff like that. They agreed to
- 18:32Speaker 3: resume bargaining this week and the facilities will resume normal operations.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Yay, yeah, Kaiser.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if you I'm a member
- 18:44Speaker 1: of Kaiser, I don't know if anybody else is. But
- 18:46Speaker 1: you go, the best Kaiser is Maui. It's a small,
- 18:50Speaker 1: one story building. Ah, that's a great place to go.
- 18:54Speaker 2: What'd you go there for?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Which if you are barefoot and you walk across coral
- 19:01Speaker 1: oh that is because it's such warm water, and bacteria
- 19:05Speaker 1: love it. And the coral, I mean just it stays
- 19:09Speaker 1: in your system. A little bits of coral come out.
- 19:12Speaker 1: It's very hard to treat. And so also if you're
- 19:16Speaker 1: eaten by a shark, don't strike me as the I'm
- 19:18Speaker 1: going to go walk in the water. Guy. Now I
- 19:20Speaker 1: walk in the water. I mean I jump in up
- 19:22Speaker 1: to my ankles. That's not a problem, okay. And then
- 19:25Speaker 1: I walked in once I walk barefoot. Now it's stout shoes,
- 19:30Speaker 1: water shoes.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Well, San Francisco's next on the list. Apparently, President Trump
- 19:37Speaker 5: has suggested that he could deploy federal Trump's troops to
- 19:41Speaker 5: San Francisco. In an interview yesterday on Fox News, he
- 19:45Speaker 5: said he plans to send forces into San Francisco, saying
- 19:48Speaker 5: that the city has deteriorated in recent years and needs
- 19:52Speaker 5: federal intervention. He said, don't forget, I can use the
- 19:56Speaker 5: Insurrection Act. He said, I choose not to, but I
- 20:00Speaker 5: could if I want to. Of course, California officials immediately
- 20:05Speaker 5: fired back, rejecting the idea, and Governor Knewsom quickly pushed
- 20:08Speaker 5: back on x saying, fact check, nobody wants you here.
- 20:12Speaker 5: You will ruin one of America's greatest cities.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Yeah, fact check.
- 20:17Speaker 1: It doesn't matter if the President calls under the Insurrection
- 20:21Speaker 1: Act bringing in federal troops. And I think it's more
- 20:24Speaker 1: of I can do it, because he said that a
- 20:27Speaker 1: few times about the peace process. He says, I'm not
- 20:30Speaker 1: going to do it, but I can do it. I
- 20:31Speaker 1: have the power to do it. So it's more a
- 20:33Speaker 1: statement of the president sort of pounding his chest and
- 20:37Speaker 1: being the eight hundred pound guerilla in the room. Now,
- 20:40Speaker 1: if he did do it, I think it would be
- 20:42Speaker 1: shut down by the courts. They did that Chicago where
- 20:46Speaker 1: the court said that the White House's position that there
- 20:50Speaker 1: was open rebellion. The judge said, you're crazy, there's no
- 20:54Speaker 1: open rebellion here. So I don't think he's going to
- 20:59Speaker 1: do it.
- 20:59Speaker 2: It's more of bragadicio or bragadcio by the president. I believe.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Every time he says insurrection, I think he's going to
- 21:09Speaker 3: send people to the Capitol. So I get confused, all right.
- 21:13Speaker 3: George Santos, a lousy, lying pig by all accounts, was
- 21:20Speaker 3: let loose from prison and a pardon, and now he's
- 21:22Speaker 3: back on TV. Because as long as you're part of
- 21:26Speaker 3: a party, they will take you no matter what. I
- 21:31Speaker 3: Am going to do more of this at eight o'clock.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Also, because I was at the O King's rally pushing
- 21:38Speaker 1: for freedom of the press, got a lot.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Of response on Instagram.
- 21:43Speaker 1: You know, you didn't bitch and moan when Joe Biden
- 21:45Speaker 1: pardoned or when Joe Biden pardoned people.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Yeah I did.
- 21:49Speaker 1: And the freedom of the press issue was you didn't
- 21:52Speaker 1: bitch when the Biden folks went after the platforms.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 21:57Speaker 1: Yeah, And so therefore freedom of the press. And then
- 22:01Speaker 1: I you know that sometimes I respond, sometimes I don't
- 22:04Speaker 1: because Biden didn't shut down any of those places during
- 22:08Speaker 1: Biden during COVID, he did say, hey, you guys are crazy.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Did he make a move to shut it down? Nope?
- 22:15Speaker 2: Is president, so the presidents say that.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I don't know, but a lot of people got upset
- 22:20Speaker 1: with me with my sign up there saying freedom of
- 22:22Speaker 1: the press.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Trust me, I'm about as consistent as you can get,
- 22:26Speaker 3: and I still get those people.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Doesn't matter. That's good.
- 22:31Speaker 1: We's that's only do our job. I've often said, Neil,
- 22:35Speaker 1: especially in relation to this show, is that if people
- 22:38Speaker 1: are driving and they're listening to this show and they
- 22:42Speaker 1: punch out the windshield out of frustration. Then we've done
- 22:46Speaker 1: our job. Then we've done exactly what we're supposed to do.
- 22:50Speaker 1: So eight o'clock George Santos the commutation. It wasn't a pardon,
- 22:56Speaker 1: It was a commutation. I'll explain the difference. And then
- 22:59Speaker 1: some really interesting historical pardons that presidents have in fact
- 23:05Speaker 1: done over the decades, over the since the beginning of
- 23:08Speaker 1: the of our country. George Washington the first one to
- 23:12Speaker 1: issue pardons so far back.
- 23:14Speaker 2: They go for his dentist. Pardon for his dentist, okay,
- 23:21Speaker 2: thank you.
- 23:22Speaker 3: The old wives tale about him having wooden them, Yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 3: I know, wouldn't tea.
- 23:26Speaker 2: He did have wooden teeth.
- 23:27Speaker 1: By the way, Well, he had these dentures, but the
- 23:30Speaker 1: part of them were would part of them Some of
- 23:32Speaker 1: them were old people other people's teeth, right.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Well, I think they made some of them. I think
- 23:38Speaker 2: they did make.
- 23:38Speaker 1: And then the ivory and then there's wooden contraption, which
- 23:42Speaker 1: is why you never see him smile ever. Every single
- 23:46Speaker 1: painting of George Washington, his mouth is closed because he
- 23:52Speaker 1: was very self conscious of his teeth.
- 23:55Speaker 2: But he smiled in there in those days because you'd
- 23:59Speaker 2: have to hold the for the whole you would you, well, no,
- 24:02Speaker 2: for the painter.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, there's your mouth open.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Okay, moving on with more news.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Got a scare in the air.
- 24:12Speaker 5: A United Airlines flight was making its way from Denver
- 24:15Speaker 5: to lax.
- 24:17Speaker 4: When something hit it shattered the windshield.
- 24:20Speaker 5: It made an unscheduled landing in Salt Lake City.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Uh.
- 24:24Speaker 5: The windshields are multi layered, but this one apparently shattered
- 24:28Speaker 5: pretty bad. The pilot there's pictures of him holding up
- 24:31Speaker 5: a bloodied forearm. The cockpit was damaged. Photos of the
- 24:37Speaker 5: exterior of the plane show a fully shattered windshield with
- 24:40Speaker 5: contact damage in the right corner. They're not saying what
- 24:44Speaker 5: that contact was, but they landed safely in Salt Lake City.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Now you think about this, the plane is flying at
- 24:51Speaker 1: five hundred and fifty miles an hour and the windshields
- 24:55Speaker 1: shatters and in starts going the wind at five hundred
- 24:59Speaker 1: and fifty miles an hour. The worst tornado or hurricane
- 25:03Speaker 1: on the planet is under two hundred miles an hour, and.
- 25:06Speaker 2: That's at the top of the heat.
- 25:08Speaker 1: So they no one could fly playing at five hundred
- 25:11Speaker 1: and fifty miles an hour.
- 25:12Speaker 2: So what saves them.
- 25:14Speaker 1: The automatic transmission. Well maybe you see the autopilot. Actually
- 25:21Speaker 1: the autopilot saves him and also it saves our story
- 25:25Speaker 1: is Amy with her alliteration, which is very strong.
- 25:29Speaker 3: All right, Prince Andrew, it seems might he's being accused
- 25:34Speaker 3: of asking police to help him dig up dirt on Virginia.
- 25:37Speaker 2: How do you pronounce this? Amy K King you ye?
- 25:43Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, who accused him of sexual abuse back in
- 25:47Speaker 3: twenty eleven. So they are finding information on this, and
- 25:52Speaker 3: the report has led to the Metropolitan Police in London
- 25:55Speaker 3: to look into the allegations.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Obviously, he's all over the place on this one. I
- 26:03Speaker 1: mean there's just no way I know. He says one
- 26:05Speaker 1: thing and it turns out not to be true. It
- 26:07Speaker 1: has a lot closer connection to Epstein. And then we're
- 26:12Speaker 1: finding out now that he was a scout master of
- 26:14Speaker 1: a girl scout troop.
- 26:16Speaker 2: But you do see him with some of these girls.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, they took away. He has given
- 26:21Speaker 1: up all of it. I mean, he is done. He's
- 26:23Speaker 1: had nothing to do with the family anymore. The family
- 26:25Speaker 1: has nothing to do with him, and he voluntarily gave
- 26:28Speaker 1: up all of his titles. Well his title is he
- 26:30Speaker 1: still keeps. He still prints no matter what. But he's
- 26:33Speaker 1: not going to do any royal duties anymore.
- 26:35Speaker 3: So the don't don't be with underaged women, Yeah, don't
- 26:39Speaker 3: marry Megan Markle and you can still stay in the
- 26:43Speaker 3: royal family.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Well that was That's a different story. But yes, okay,
- 26:48Speaker 1: we have a couple more to do.
- 26:51Speaker 5: Trump is threatening to cut aid and raise tariffs. This
- 26:55Speaker 5: time he's talking about Columbia, Or's US military has been
- 27:01Speaker 5: taking out boats that are apparently smuggling drugs towards the US.
- 27:07Speaker 5: He said yesterday that he would be raising tariffs on
- 27:10Speaker 5: Columbia and stopping all payments to the South American nation,
- 27:13Speaker 5: saying they're not doing enough to stop the flow of
- 27:15Speaker 5: drugs into the US. He also called the Columbian president,
- 27:19Speaker 5: Gustavo Petro, an illegal drug leader. Petro said that the
- 27:24Speaker 5: boat that was attacked over the weekend belonged to a
- 27:28Speaker 5: humble family, not a rebel group.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I met a lady from Colombia last night at the
- 27:35Speaker 1: at the Gallop for Katerina's club, and I went up
- 27:38Speaker 1: to introduce and I said, Hey, I'd like to buy
- 27:40Speaker 1: some cocaine. You know, I was joking. She handed me
- 27:43Speaker 1: a price list. Oh boy, okay, all right, hey, it's
- 27:48Speaker 1: Monday morning. Okay, indeed it is, sir, okay, A succession.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I never watched it on HBO.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Here, you didn't watch Succession?
- 27:55Speaker 2: No, I don't watch a lot of TV.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Burned down mansion there featured on that show is one
- 28:02Speaker 3: of eight Pacific Palisaint's properties, and people are saying they're
- 28:05Speaker 3: a public nuisance. The Los Angeles city officials are saying
- 28:10Speaker 3: this is a problem, and the owner still hasn't removed
- 28:14Speaker 3: the fire ash and debris from the area, and they
- 28:17Speaker 3: feel that it is a risk. The board's vote pressure's
- 28:20Speaker 3: owners to clean up the toxic debris, of course, or
- 28:24Speaker 3: prepare for a city contractor to step in, which I
- 28:27Speaker 3: gotta imagine it's kind of expensive.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Yeah. This is where the owner, the owner blew it.
- 28:32Speaker 1: He decided not to take the governmental cleaning of.
- 28:34Speaker 2: The debris by the.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Civil Corps of engineer the Army Corps engineer, and he
- 28:40Speaker 1: was going to do it himself, which some people did,
- 28:42Speaker 1: and then it came in at six hundred thousand dollars.
- 28:44Speaker 2: He went oops, and he didn't do it.
- 28:47Speaker 1: It was too expensive, and so he then went back
- 28:49Speaker 1: and said Okay, you guy guys, you do it. Nope,
- 28:51Speaker 1: time the application time has stopped or is run out,
- 28:55Speaker 1: and you get to do it yourself.
- 28:57Speaker 2: And the city will do it. You know, the city.
- 29:00Speaker 3: You'll kill him and I, oh yeah, ycle as much
- 29:04Speaker 3: as the oh yeah, oh engineers.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Yeah, if you like, have weeds in your yard overrunning your.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Yard, the city come in and do it. Okay, I
- 29:13Speaker 1: think we have what more to do and then we
- 29:15Speaker 1: are out.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Who's watching the weapons?
- 29:18Speaker 5: The federal agency responsible for overseeing and modernizing the US
- 29:21Speaker 5: nuclear stockpile is furloughing most of its staff. As the
- 29:28Speaker 5: government shut down enters day number twenty. About fourteen hundred
- 29:31Speaker 5: employees at the National Nuclear Security Administration, or n NSA
- 29:36Speaker 5: are getting their furlough notices today.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Great four hundred are still be on the job.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Yeah, so as they move this stuff around, there'll be
- 29:43Speaker 1: no guards, no drivers of the truck. Should be a
- 29:46Speaker 1: lot of find Oh. We have to do literally one
- 29:48Speaker 1: more because this one is too good to miss. Are
- 29:53Speaker 1: you talking about the Trump AI?
- 29:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm talking about the Trump okay, sid the post Yes,
- 29:59Speaker 3: So in this particular case, you have the vice president
- 30:03Speaker 3: posting this. This is the King Trump jet bombing protesters
- 30:08Speaker 3: with what seems to be brown liquid.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, ross so liquid.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Vice President jd Vance shared the AI created video on
- 30:19Speaker 3: the President putting on a crown cape well, Nancy Pelosi
- 30:23Speaker 3: and other Democrats before him, what's wrong with people?
- 30:27Speaker 2: I actually I thought it was funny.
- 30:29Speaker 1: You call him a king and he comes right back
- 30:31Speaker 1: wearing a crown.
- 30:32Speaker 2: And does this.
- 30:34Speaker 1: See this stuff is funny to me. It's that's the best.
- 30:37Speaker 1: That's not this is doing it now too. Yeah.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I know the stuff that picks on we the people.
- 30:43Speaker 2: But if they pick on each other, not yourself.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't have a problem with that. Okay, guys,
- 30:47Speaker 1: we are done. KFI AM six forty.
- 30:50Speaker 2: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show.
