- 0:30Now let's get into the episode. Hello everyone, and welcome to
- 0:34the Doctor Randy Show, where we dive into the future of beauty,
- 0:39aesthetics, and innovation with the leaders that are shaping
- 0:42what's next. He spent over 2 decades building
- 0:47across pharma aesthetics and device innovation.
- 0:51He rose into senior leadership at MERS Aesthetics, helping
- 0:55shape a leading force in the industry.
- 0:57And now as founder and CEO of Pink Sky, he's focused on what's
- 1:03next, where aesthetics, longevity, and innovation are
- 1:06all headed. Please welcome Anthony Sirhan.
- 1:10Welcome to the show, Anthony. Thank you, Doctor.
- 1:13Randy, I'm super happy to be here with you today.
- 1:16Appreciate you having me. We're thrilled to have you on
- 1:18the show as well. And I'm going to, as usual, dive
- 1:22right in. So Anthony, you have built a
- 1:26career spanning more than two decades across pharma,
- 1:30aesthetics, device innovation. You've seen it all from Takeda
- 1:35to Medicis to all therapy into senior leadership at MERS.
- 1:41I mean, this really positions you as an expert in our
- 1:44industry, one of the top experts, I would say.
- 1:47And now, as founder and CEO of Pink Sky, you've been part of so
- 1:53many corners of aesthetics. Do you still get excited walking
- 1:57into the industry every day? I really do.
- 2:00I mean, this is such a fun ecosystem to take part in.
- 2:05Being considered an expert is a huge compliment, especially
- 2:07coming from you. So thank you for that.
- 2:09I kind of consider myself a dinosaur in the ecosystem, but
- 2:13it's so exciting every day. It's total fulfillment on my
- 2:16end. We can tell.
- 2:18I mean, we've seen your passion, you're all over social media,
- 2:21you're making yourself known, and it's coming through.
- 2:24So based on that depth of experience that we see, what do
- 2:29you see as the single biggest shift that's happening in
- 2:33aesthetics right now? So I look at this from different
- 2:36perspectives. I have kind of grown up in
- 2:38aesthetics, launched, you know, one of the first HA fillers on
- 2:42the industry side. But I've been very close to the
- 2:45practitioners, a lot of great friends and physicians that have
- 2:49really been pioneers with all these different technologies and
- 2:52products. I grew up in the aesthetic
- 2:54ecosystem, but it wasn't the only place that I kind of came
- 2:57from. So I really see if I step out of
- 3:00that for a second because I'm also a new beauty consumer.
- 3:04I love new beauty. I love your podcast and look at
- 3:07this almost as like a convergence of aesthetics with a
- 3:11whole other category. And I think what we're starting
- 3:15to see is that collision of two big categories and very
- 3:19different patients, very different consumers.
- 3:21I consider myself a patient before anything else, and that's
- 3:24pretty exciting. I think we have seen such a
- 3:27shift in the last even 18 months and I'm loving watching it,
- 3:32loving being a part of it. From your A vantage point, I'm
- 3:37curious what you think about this.
- 3:39Do you think that we are still in a true growth phase or are
- 3:45you starting to see signs of shift or correction?
- 3:50That's a great question. I think that it's all about
- 3:54perspective. If you're sitting in the middle
- 3:56of the aesthetic ecosystem and you look at market maturity,
- 4:00there's kind of like different stages.
- 4:02There's the emergence, there's acceleration.
- 4:05So like awareness starts to grow.
- 4:07I think you've been a big part of that and growing awareness
- 4:11and others like you, you start to see new competitors, new
- 4:14products coming into the market. There's a saturation of maturity
- 4:18kind of element. So it's never linear.
- 4:21You start to see shakeouts where some of the products will fall
- 4:26out in an emergence of new products.
- 4:28What I really think is happening right now is a reinvention or
- 4:32collision of two markets, the Wellness sector with peptides
- 4:38and GLP ones. But I do see this convergence of
- 4:41Wellness and aesthetics coming together from a market maturity
- 4:47standpoint. But that's where I really see
- 4:49where we're at as a reinvention in the aesthetic space.
- 4:53Agreed. So, as a fun exercise, if you
- 4:56had to write the headline that's defining this moment in
- 5:01aesthetics, what would it be? That's a good question.
- 5:04There's some pressure there. I think based on what I just
- 5:08said, it would probably be aesthetics and Wellness.
- 5:13They're no longer parallel markets.
- 5:15They're colliding forces. Nice, that's a good one.
- 5:19Colliding forces, that's powerful.
- 5:23So beyond that headline, what do you think is actually driving
- 5:29the momentum we are seeing in aesthetics right now today?
- 5:33Well, if I look at these two forces separately, there's this
- 5:37shift. You've got a younger patient
- 5:39demographic that's flooding into aesthetics right now.
- 5:43But at the same time, when I have my aesthetic hat on, I
- 5:48really think that the market is so open and consumers are
- 5:54starting to get more access to these treatments and these
- 5:58providers. If you look at the adult
- 6:00population, which again, you get these new generations of your
- 6:04readers and followers, they're looking at your podcast and
- 6:08consuming content. There's really only 4% that have
- 6:12ever had an aesthetic injection or considered it.
- 6:16And then I look at the Wellness space, which is kind of a
- 6:19different patient. I mean, there there is some
- 6:22hybrid and we're seeing more of that now.
- 6:24That's where I see that collision.
- 6:26But that's about 20%. So that's where you start to see
- 6:30this convergence. But again, you've got these
- 6:34folks that are aging in to adulthood and they're looking at
- 6:39this. You know, one of the buzzwords
- 6:41in aesthetics is regenerative. And it really is something
- 6:45special. I'm not going to say my age on
- 6:47your show, but I'm kind of like that age that wants things that
- 6:53are going. To be generous, Anthony, we just
- 6:55tell all here, you know, we tell our age.
- 6:58I'm 48. All right, there you go.
- 7:01Yeah. I'm 48, but regenerative is very
- 7:04attractive to me. But if I look at some of the
- 7:06patients that we interact with across like our ecosystem with
- 7:10our providers and some of the practices that we work with, you
- 7:14know, they want to preserve what they have and the science is
- 7:17catching up. So I almost think of this is
- 7:19like pre generative for them. Like they're looking for pre
- 7:23generative ways. And you hear this term
- 7:27longevity, which really resonates.
- 7:30But if you look at this other crowd on the other side of the
- 7:33market, it's almost like a progevity.
- 7:36How do you do things now that keeps you young?
- 7:40I'm looking for things that keeps me like, yeah, older than
- 7:4448, so that's longevity. But I just think it's such an
- 7:48exciting time to see these two markets come together.
- 7:52It is and every time I have a conversation with you, you tune
- 7:57me into something that's new in the market and I love that you
- 8:02show me things that I've never even heard of before.
- 8:05So just to keep that flow going about regenerative if you don't
- 8:10mind, there is a new wave of regenerative and longevity
- 8:16driven treatments from peptides to NAD to advanced treatments
- 8:22and advanced therapies that are coming on the market at the
- 8:25speed of light. As the expert and I know you're
- 8:28researching each one of these items, these are not just things
- 8:31that you just take under your wing overnight, which seems the
- 8:34most meaningful and exciting right now to you.
- 8:39Wow, there's many things that are exciting, but I definitely
- 8:41think peptides, weight loss, they're very attractive to me.
- 8:46Years ago, before the GOP ones came on the scene, I was part of
- 8:50a weight loss company where we swallowed A capsule.
- 8:53We inflated a balloon in your stomach and you lose weight.
- 8:55And with that, when you lost weight, you really start to see
- 8:58these patients. What else can I do?
- 9:00I lost facial volume and how do I restore that?
- 9:04So we've got the bio stimulators are going to help you kind of
- 9:06stimulate your own collagen and elastin.
- 9:09I really think that the peptides and looking at the whole
- 9:13patient, they go hand in hand and they're not going anyway.
- 9:17So that's very exciting to me. I see other things too, where
- 9:22we're using ozone to hyper oxygenate blood and it's almost
- 9:26like the human oil change, if you will, Hyperbaric oxygen
- 9:30chambers, red light therapy. These are all very exciting
- 9:34things. But if I'm a patient, I'm very
- 9:37interested in it. Peptides and GOP ones, they're
- 9:39not going anywhere. I just saw a new oral was just
- 9:43approved just yesterday which was really cool news too.
- 9:47We've talked about this on the show.
- 9:48Approximately 25% of the US population are afraid of
- 9:54needles, right, Have a fear of needles.
- 9:56So that opens up that market. You know, if one in eight people
- 10:01are currently on GLP ones now, this is going to open it up to
- 10:05even higher population. So it's going to really change.
- 10:09I have a few favorites I'd like to ask you about that.
- 10:12I'm curious your perspective on do you think that personalized
- 10:18treatments tailored to genetics and biomarkers will become a new
- 10:23standard? 100%, I think it's going to be
- 10:26the Holy Grail. I really do.
- 10:28I mean, we're all very different and all of these modalities that
- 10:34we see, energy based devices, skin care, all of these
- 10:39different things, we react differently to them.
- 10:42And so when you have something that allows you to create a road
- 10:47map or a compass for how these different treatments are going
- 10:51to optimize your result, that's the Holy Grail because something
- 10:55that might work well for me might not work well for you.
- 10:59And I think that this is a smarter consumer base.
- 11:02I like to think that, you know, I do my research before I do any
- 11:05type of treatment, and if it's tailored to me and customized to
- 11:10me, the outcomes going to be better.
- 11:11So I think these physicians are going to have a really cool tool
- 11:17to be able to tailor aesthetics and Wellness treatments to
- 11:21access that longevity that everybody wants.
- 11:24I think it's fascinating. I've just really started
- 11:28learning about it over the last six months, but I'm very excited
- 11:32for it to really explode into our market and for our viewers
- 11:37and listeners. What we're really talking about
- 11:39are tests that will be able to allow a patient to understand
- 11:46and access what works for them, right?
- 11:49Because isn't it intriguing where I can use something on my
- 11:54skin and immediately it works and I'll see a glow and then I
- 11:59share it with a friend and they're like, I tried that and
- 12:01saw nothing. And then turn that into like
- 12:04supplements and peptides and different things that we're
- 12:07using. I mean, if you try to take a,
- 12:09for example, like AB12 supplement, there's so many
- 12:13different ways that B12 is packaged, right?
- 12:16And which one works best for your chemistry and your body.
- 12:20And that's what we're talking about here, coming up with
- 12:23treatments and strategies in aesthetics and Wellness and
- 12:27longevity that are customized for the patient, Right, Anthony?
- 12:32Exactly. I mean, it's your point, if you
- 12:35think about minoxidil, for example, and I love my hair, I
- 12:40will do anything to keep my hair.
- 12:42But if you could take a test, very simple cheek swab and you
- 12:48know, 38% of the population cannot methylate minoxidil, but
- 12:52there's pallets of minoxidil being sold at big box stores.
- 12:56And so I would like to know before I go buy that product at
- 13:00a big box store that it's going to work for me.
- 13:02And that's the same with these other aesthetic treatments.
- 13:04And if you could map, so everybody knows my biological
- 13:08age now, but if you can look at a baseline for your collagen,
- 13:13your elastin. So say I'm 48, but my collagen
- 13:17and elastin is, you know, probably 5354 or or more, spend
- 13:24a lot of time in the sun and you have that baseline, these
- 13:29ingredients and treatments that my provider puts in motion for
- 13:34me. And my care plan could actually
- 13:36reverse that biological age of collagen and elastin.
- 13:39That's why I say it's the Holy Grail, and I mean, it's here.
- 13:42Anthony, you've just recently enlightened me about a lot of
- 13:46what's going to be available very soon.
- 13:49And so I think what we'll do is we'll plan to do my biomarkers
- 13:54and then we'll come back and do a show about that and just
- 13:57really go through and see what comes up and show our audience
- 14:01like a real report of what this looks like.
- 14:03What do you think about that? I love it.
- 14:05I predict 21 all the way down the chart.
- 14:09Yes, yes. Oh gosh, if my biological age
- 14:13comes back at like 70, don't tell me, OK?
- 14:15I don't want to know, but no, I think it's fascinating and I
- 14:20think it's going to change everything over the next year or
- 14:23so. I think we're going to see
- 14:25people are going to attach on to that because there's definitely
- 14:28a reason why. You know, I can put copper
- 14:31peptides on my face and immediately see results.
- 14:34And then I'll tell a friend and they're like, no, it doesn't
- 14:36work at all for me. But you're explaining a simple
- 14:39hair regrowth solution that doesn't work for 38% of the
- 14:43population. So they're buying it and they're
- 14:45saying this doesn't work, but yet the rest so the people it's
- 14:49working for. So this is going to change
- 14:51everything for us. I'm very excited.
- 14:53It is, and it's a little different, Doctor Randy.
- 14:56So you know, you've got DNA tests that you can take and you
- 15:01send them in and it's like your hair is blonde, your eyes are
- 15:04blue, you're from this part of the world.
- 15:06This is a little different. Methylation is actually mapping
- 15:10the genes and it's understanding how these different ingredients
- 15:14or treatments, your genes would respond to them.
- 15:17It's a little bit different. I mean, I think providers love
- 15:19it. And it's just going to build
- 15:21trust with the patient because they want to maximize their
- 15:24outcome. Everybody's got less and less to
- 15:28spend these days with the economy, so they really want to
- 15:31spend and maximize that time with their provider.
- 15:34Agree. And they want to know they're
- 15:35going to get results as we're talking about technology and
- 15:39advancements and things that are coming.
- 15:41Let's talk about exosomes, OK? Also just a very hot topic.
- 15:46We've had some great exosome companies on the show.
- 15:49I love learning about it. I've tried the products.
- 15:52The proof is in the results. They're no longer emerging,
- 15:55right? A year ago we were talking about
- 15:57exosomes are coming, but they're here.
- 16:00Tell me, do you think that the technology has caught up to the
- 16:04hype and where do you think we're headed from here with
- 16:08exosomes? I think the technology has made
- 16:12huge advancements and I think the science is only getting
- 16:16better day by day. I just saw something really cool
- 16:19where they're looking at how the source of the exosomes, where it
- 16:24comes from these little messengers and how they activate
- 16:28different genes. So they're really looking to see
- 16:31how can you maximize the outcome.
- 16:33I'd like to get deeper into the science, but to your point, they
- 16:37keep getting deeper and deeper into the research and they're
- 16:39not going anywhere. Exosomes are really intriguing
- 16:42to me and I being incorporated into skin care and people are
- 16:46loving the results they get with some of these products.
- 16:49I think that we're just scratching the surface on that
- 16:51too, right. So I think we're going to see it
- 16:53incorporated into many more of the treatments that are
- 16:56available to us. So excited to see where that
- 16:59goes. Now shifting back to peptides a
- 17:02little, it's quickly become the conversation and not just weight
- 17:08loss, right? Because now people see what the
- 17:11weight loss peptides were capable of.
- 17:13Even though in the beginning everybody was afraid of it and
- 17:16wasn't really sure if we should believe it, but now across
- 17:20aesthetics, Wellness, longevity, where do you see peptides, maybe
- 17:27over the next 12 months, having the most meaningful impact?
- 17:31You know that FDA, they're going to take 14 more peptides off of
- 17:36the do not go list, if you will. So I think that there's going to
- 17:41be more options for providers. And again, if you really think
- 17:45about tailoring treatment to an individual patient, there's just
- 17:49more options that are coming. So I think that we're going to
- 17:53see treatment stacking and cycling of peptides because not
- 17:58everybody needs GHKCU or BBC 157.
- 18:03Some need both. And when you've got more
- 18:06options, the providers have more tools in their bag and people
- 18:09just feel better when they're getting what they need.
- 18:13I think there's a lot of confusion around it now, like
- 18:16people are excited about it, but they're also confused and a
- 18:19little nervous of, you know, how to try it, sort of like when the
- 18:22GLP ones came around, right? So I think that over the next 12
- 18:26months, we'll see some more clarity on that and that'll be
- 18:30great for the industry. The confusion is real.
- 18:33And when we're talking to providers too, I mean, some of
- 18:36the questions they need to ask are where the peptides coming
- 18:38from. I mean, they got to make sure
- 18:40that they're coming from, you know, a great source, but you
- 18:44start to see these protocols coming out and that just adds
- 18:48clarity in a confused market. But you got really savvy
- 18:52providers that are providing, you know, just game changing
- 18:56treatment protocols for patients.
- 18:58If you don't mind, I want to talk about a topic that is often
- 19:03in the peptide conversation, but it isn't a peptide, which is
- 19:06important to note, but that's NAD.
- 19:08OK. NAD has really risen to the top
- 19:12of the longevity conversation. We've had people on our show
- 19:16talk about that it made them feel 20 years younger, like it
- 19:20changed their life, but talking about those biomarkers.
- 19:24And I've also had people tell me they've tried it and felt
- 19:27nothing. So sometimes I think, again,
- 19:30with the NAD, it's going to be based on the person's genetic
- 19:34makeup. But both in terms of longevity
- 19:37and how it may start to influence the aesthetic side.
- 19:40We just did a show about NAD in skin care, so I think NAD is a
- 19:45hot topic. I'm very curious your
- 19:47perspective here. I have not done NAD yet, but I
- 19:51have tried skin care that has the last component in the cycle
- 19:56that actually helps your body create its own NAD.
- 19:59It's your endogenous NAD which is really exciting.
- 20:05There's some cool products that I've seen of it.
- 20:07Basically NAD is absorbed through the mucosa of the top of
- 20:10your mouth, which is really cool.
- 20:12So for those that might not want to try injections or they want
- 20:17to step into an oral first, there's options there.
- 20:22The skin care is cool. I think that that's really going
- 20:25to blow up that last component in the cycles called NMN, which
- 20:30is nicotinamide nucleotide I believe.
- 20:34So that's that last piece that has your body create that Ned
- 20:39plus, which is going to help push out those older cells.
- 20:42I think it's next level stuff. If you put Ned just on the skin,
- 20:46it's not going to be able to process anything.
- 20:48But if you can create your own endogenous or take a exogenous
- 20:54source, I mean, you're really on to something there.
- 20:57I'm excited to see where NAD goes.
- 20:59I have not tried it yet either, but that is definitely on my
- 21:03list. And I have tried the skin care
- 21:06and that has been very successful.
- 21:08So results are there. Let's dive a little deeper into
- 21:12the newer technologies that you're involved in.
- 21:14Things like EBU and even the evolution of hyperbaric oxygen,
- 21:20which has been around a long time, but now it's shifted gears
- 21:23a little bit. So where do you see these
- 21:26fitting into the longevity conversation and how they may
- 21:31kind of steer the ship back into aesthetics even?
- 21:34The hyperbaric oxygen is really having its day or resurgence as
- 21:39well because the chambers are getting better, there's better
- 21:43technology. Some people are putting them in
- 21:45their homes as well, which is really kind of cool to see.
- 21:49The one I'm really excited about is Eboo.
- 21:51I call it the human oil change to keep it very simple, where
- 21:55it's not unlike an IV, but you're pulling blood from one
- 21:59side. So it's like having an IV in
- 22:01each arm and they're pulling it through a machine that basically
- 22:06adds UV light. So you're getting rid of any of
- 22:09the bacteria, viruses and filtering it through like an FDA
- 22:15approved dialysis filter. And then they hyper oxygenate
- 22:20the blood through ozonation and then it comes back through the
- 22:25other side. So it almost comes out darker
- 22:28and then goes in the other side is like a beautiful bright red.
- 22:32But what's happening is they're filtering out like heavy metals,
- 22:36micro plastics, folks that are, you know, suffering from like
- 22:40long COVID. Some people that are just
- 22:43healthy, they're in the gym and they just want a nice oil change
- 22:46to filter things out. But these patients are feeling
- 22:49great and I've just seen it's absolutely exploding.
- 22:54It's really fun. It's very cool.
- 22:56I've been reading about it, researching about it.
- 22:59I've seen videos, I've seen even celebrities talking about it
- 23:03that it's like life altering for them.
- 23:06So I'll let you try it first and then report back to me on how
- 23:11you think about it. But I think these are the things
- 23:13that are fascinating, these technologies of how they're
- 23:17going to kind of change our life.
- 23:18And Speaking of technology, hair restoration is a much bigger
- 23:24category than it has been in prior years.
- 23:27Not that it wasn't always a part of our aesthetic conversation,
- 23:32but now that the GLP ones have really taken over our space and
- 23:40with more than 50% of the GLP 1 users saying they're
- 23:44experiencing some hair loss, hair restoration has really kind
- 23:50of come into the conversation. Every time there is a
- 23:53conversation, you, how are you feeling?
- 23:55How are you feeling about your aesthetic?
- 23:57What can we work on? That conversation keeps coming
- 24:00up. I'm curious what you're seeing
- 24:02in terms of demand and innovation in that space right
- 24:05now. The demand is definitely there.
- 24:08Again, you referenced earlier how many folks are on GOP's that
- 24:12can impact your hair. You're seeing TRT and HRT really
- 24:16take hold. It's making people feel great
- 24:19and adding that youth back into their step, the pep in their
- 24:23step. But that also comes with
- 24:25sometimes the thinning of the hair.
- 24:28And I told you before, like, I do not want to lose my hair, so
- 24:31I will do anything to keep my hair.
- 24:33What we're seeing is different solutions for hair.
- 24:37There's injectables, there's PRP, there's a lot of different
- 24:42things that are out there. I'm starting to see practices
- 24:45move towards a more holistic approach to where, you know, 1,
- 24:51they're actually testing to see what treatments would work best
- 24:54for you with some of the technology we talked about
- 24:56earlier and mapping out the genes in the DNA and then
- 25:00pairing up which medications those are, which ingredients are
- 25:04going to help you out from a shampoo standpoint and then
- 25:08energy based devices as well. So I think that it's not just a
- 25:13one stop shop. It's like having a holistic
- 25:16approach and it is really going to again, maximize the outcome.
- 25:21So you've got a beautiful man of hair.
- 25:23I think that those that are ready to enter into that hair
- 25:28restoration category, I mean that's going to going to be
- 25:31huge. And I think that the patients
- 25:33are looking for that. They're looking for a solution,
- 25:35right? And each person needs something
- 25:37different. Yeah, the last point on that too
- 25:39is overwhelmingly we're seeing the female population.
- 25:44I wouldn't have thought this too before I was really diving into
- 25:49hair, but it is like 70% of the female population.
- 25:53I wouldn't have suspected that. And I think that that's
- 25:55fantastic that there's, you know, solutions.
- 25:58And that if it's becoming more OK to talk about it, remember,
- 26:02like, you know, first it was taboo to talk about Botox, it
- 26:05was taboo to talk about HRT. Now everybody's just having
- 26:08those conversations and now it's OK to talk about what are you
- 26:12doing for hair loss, right? Absolutely.
- 26:14That's a good thing when it when we're all comfortable talking
- 26:16about it. So when you look at treatments
- 26:20that have really defined this industry right over the last
- 26:24even 51015 years, we're talking about energy based devices,
- 26:29injectables. These are our tried and true
- 26:31treatments. What do you think that our
- 26:34viewers and listeners can expect to see evolve in those
- 26:37categories over the next few years?
- 26:40I think there's going to be more choices from an injectable
- 26:43standpoint. There continues to be options
- 26:46that are coming out. I see a absolute new adoption of
- 26:52the biostimulators, so like calcium hydroxyapatite based
- 26:57products, PLLA that are stimulating the body's own
- 27:01response to collagen elastin. So those are really on the rise
- 27:05and that's coming from someone who launched the first HA
- 27:07filler. People are focused more on that
- 27:11natural look and we've gotten away from sort of that, you
- 27:15know, a little overfilled. Maybe they just want to look
- 27:18more like themselves and see see the rise of the bio stimulators.
- 27:22Energy based device is one of my favorite categories.
- 27:25So you've got, you know, the micro focus ultrasound, CO2 is a
- 27:29staple. What I see evolving there is
- 27:32treatment stacking. We see a lot of boosters post
- 27:35treatment. So when you create that perfect
- 27:39injury to solicit a healing response, regenerative response,
- 27:43you're seeing a lot of practitioners really gravitate
- 27:46to some of these products post treatment that optimize the
- 27:50result. So I think treatment stocking is
- 27:53already here, but it's only going to get better with these
- 27:56new choices. And to your point earlier,
- 27:58there's really cool things coming out about exosomes and
- 28:01that science. It's compelling.
- 28:03And I think like combining these treatments is what's really
- 28:06going to take everything to the next level, right?
- 28:10We're excited for it. So I think that we've really
- 28:14covered how aesthetics, longevity are going to be
- 28:17married the longer we dive into this.
- 28:20And so I think that there's quite a big shift here.
- 28:23Something I want to ask you about because it is such a hot
- 28:26topic. Where do you see AI fitting into
- 28:31this universe that we're creating here?
- 28:33It's entered into every category of our lives, including
- 28:37aesthetics. How do you see it changing the
- 28:40way treatments are customized and delivered to our patients?
- 28:43Really, that's the thing that I think most of us are interested
- 28:47in. It's completely changing the
- 28:48game. It's the future.
- 28:51I think that if I look at this from supporting practices, the
- 28:56ones that are adopting it now are really going to have an
- 29:00edge. And there's so many different
- 29:02ways that AI intersects with providing better outcomes for
- 29:06patients, providing better service for us when we're
- 29:09reaching out to our providers too.
- 29:11I can reach out and ask a question to some of these
- 29:14clinics and someone's answering when the clinic's not even open
- 29:18because they can download that physicians expertise and then
- 29:21book me right into the calendar, which is fantastic.
- 29:24So AI is here to stay. I kind of joke around with my
- 29:29family at home. If you can't, you know, beat the
- 29:31robots, control them. Absolutely yes.
- 29:35It's really just been one of the most exciting categories.
- 29:39I am a big adopter of it, but everything from AI calling where
- 29:43you can call and have a conversation and you don't even
- 29:46realize that it's AI that's answering all your questions to
- 29:51searching for your provider, not necessarily with Google anymore.
- 29:55It's some of the AI search engines.
- 29:56It's kind of break things down for you, so.
- 29:58You're saying like education will be a big part of AI, right?
- 30:03And just allowing us to have access to that education and
- 30:07convenience, right? Which is what I think that the
- 30:10consumer is looking for the most convenient way to access the
- 30:14treatments as well as the information.
- 30:17A couple of final questions for you before we take you into the
- 30:20speed round. What do you think this industry,
- 30:24Anthony, will look like 5 years from now that would surprise
- 30:29people today? What is your prediction on that?
- 30:32I think access to these treatments 5 years from now,
- 30:36we're going to need to go more to where the potential consumer
- 30:42is. We're going to need to meet them
- 30:44where they are. I think you're going to see more
- 30:46in home treatments. You see a lot of concierge
- 30:49medicine and healthcare providers going to those
- 30:52patients. I think there's a convergence
- 30:55of, I call this like proximity of interest where if you're
- 30:58there for your teeth or your lashes, are you going to see
- 31:03aesthetics offered right there. So I think accessibility to the
- 31:07treatments are going to be much more prevalent 5 years from now.
- 31:11So it's not just going to be when you go to your Med spa down
- 31:15the street, you're going to have more access.
- 31:18One final question for you, Anthony, at this point in your
- 31:22career, you've just launched Pink Sky in the last year and
- 31:27it's taken off. What do you care most about
- 31:31getting right in this industry, in this moment?
- 31:35So as a patient, what's most important to me is getting the
- 31:39best outcome and with the highest level of safety.
- 31:43So going to an educated provider who is cutting edge, but at the
- 31:49same time is very meticulous about what they do before they
- 31:53do it. And I, I think that that's the
- 31:56most exciting thing for me is that the folks that we work
- 31:59with, they're really putting in the work to do research to look
- 32:03at innovative things, but they're vetting it out first.
- 32:07And I think that this is just going to continue to get more
- 32:11people that have not stepped into these two major categories
- 32:16excited about trying new things. And again, that goes back to the
- 32:20accessibility. It's just going to make these
- 32:22things more accessible that are super exciting, but no one's
- 32:25ever tried them before. And that's what's most exciting
- 32:29to me, is making sure that we're bringing new things to market,
- 32:32but in a safe fashion and we're having lots of fun.
- 32:36Well, Anthony, thank you for an amazing show.
- 32:39We would love to invite you into the speed round.
- 32:43As you know, it'll be a series of rapid fire questions and just
- 32:47kind of your opinion of in or out.
- 32:49Also asking some personal information about Anthony
- 32:53because I know that people want to get to know you in the
- 32:56industry and know a little bit more about you.
- 32:59So if you're OK, we'll just dive in.
- 33:01Yeah, let's do it. OK, here we go, Morning person
- 33:05or night owl? Both I don't sleep.
- 33:10Me either. That's that's why we get along.
- 33:13That's a Friday night and Saturday night sleep.
- 33:15That's right. That's right.
- 33:17Clean desk or chaos? So my desk is a whiteboard, so
- 33:21I'm constantly writing on on my desk.
- 33:24So it's actually kind of clean, but there's whiteboard notes and
- 33:27ideas all over it. That's pretty cool.
- 33:30Quick decisions or careful consideration?
- 33:33It depends on what it's related to, but I would say I lean
- 33:36towards quick decision. How often do you completely
- 33:39unplug? Friday night, Saturday night, if
- 33:43there's a great soccer match on. Emails before 6:00 AM Yes or no?
- 33:48Definitely. You thrive under pressure, true
- 33:51or false. True.
- 33:53Scale of 1 to 10. How competitive are you?
- 33:5610. Do you regret more what you said
- 34:00or what you haven't said? What I haven't said.
- 34:04Aisle seat or window seat? Definitely the aisle unless it's
- 34:09a definitely. If it's a long trip, the aisle.
- 34:12Sure you want to know you can get out.
- 34:14Exactly. Have you ever googled your own
- 34:16name? I have googled my own name and
- 34:20boy what a surprise there's a there's like a multi billionaire
- 34:25with the same name out of Australia.
- 34:27So that's what came up when I googled my name.
- 34:30When I googled mine, there's like a famous author with my
- 34:33name. So you know you see the funniest
- 34:35things when you Google your name.
- 34:37How many tabs are open right now on your computer?
- 34:40Under 10 or over 20. Is over 30 an answer?
- 34:45Yeah, I love it. Are your Airpods always in yes
- 34:51or no? No.
- 34:53First app you open in the morning.
- 34:56X. Would people say you're more
- 34:58patient or more intense? Depends on who you ask I would
- 35:04say Most people say I'm intense. All right.
- 35:07Now let's dive into a few industry questions for you.
- 35:11Is medical grade a meaningful label or just marketing?
- 35:16I would say it depends on who's bringing medical grade forward.
- 35:21It could be very much marketing others.
- 35:23I think it's on point, but it depends on where it's coming
- 35:26from. The skin care ingredient 1.
- 35:29You can name one that you think is worth the hype.
- 35:32I would go back to a nicotinamide nucleotide.
- 35:36Fat dissolving injections in or out?
- 35:39Out. Micro needling in or.
- 35:42Out in. Laser resurfacing.
- 35:46In. Hair restoration injections in
- 35:50energy based skin tightening for the face.
- 35:53Depends on which, but I'd say in.
- 35:56Non surgical body skin tightening.
- 35:59Depends on the modality, but I'll go with in.
- 36:02Device based body contouring. Same answer.
- 36:07OK at home LED masks. Oh, definitely in.
- 36:12Growth Factor. Skin care.
- 36:15In I'll give it an in. CO2 laser resurfacing. 100% gold
- 36:20standard. Love it.
- 36:22It's so funny and I don't mean to interrupt your speed round,
- 36:25but I'm finding that there's a divide happening in the road
- 36:29right now about CO2. I'm a believer.
- 36:31I did for treatment to completely change my skin for
- 36:35treatments in four years. However, I'm seeing this new
- 36:38movement where people are saying now you don't need to go that
- 36:41aggressive, no need. You can do it so much easier
- 36:45now. But it's interesting to watch
- 36:46the divide. I'm curious where it will land.
- 36:49You're absolutely right, it totally depends on who you are,
- 36:53what you're trying to accomplish.
- 36:54But you could go full ablative or you could do light
- 36:58fractional, which is really cool.
- 37:01Like that's what I'm most excited about with CO2.
- 37:03Radio frequency skin tightening for face and body.
- 37:07It depends on which one, but there's a couple that I'm pretty
- 37:10excited about. Muscle stimulating, body
- 37:13contouring and then also now they have it for the face as
- 37:16well. What are your thoughts?
- 37:17In or out? It's in.
- 37:19Yeah, it's cool. Fat freezing out IV therapy for
- 37:24Wellness and longevity. Definitely in.
- 37:28And HRT hormone replacement therapy. 100% I think it's
- 37:32changing lives. It's great.
- 37:34It is, it definitely is. Well, Anthony, we couldn't have
- 37:37had a better time with you today.
- 37:39Thank you for filling us in on all of these amazing treatments,
- 37:42the technology, what you're doing at Pink Sky.
- 37:45Is there any final message you'd like to leave our viewers and
- 37:48listeners with? I just think it's such an
- 37:51exciting time and it's fantastic to be here and now.
- 37:56It's like what a time to be alive because you're seeing all
- 37:58these cool new things, technology's coming forward and
- 38:02you know, it's just an exciting time to be here in the now and
- 38:06there's a lot of great things coming forward.
- 38:08I just want to thank you too for getting this information out to
- 38:12everybody because that's a key piece of this is just getting
- 38:16exposure out to like what's there for us as consumers and
- 38:21patients. And it's just been a total
- 38:23pleasure hanging out with you. So thank you for having me.
- 38:26Well, thank you. It's been a great show and
- 38:28promise you'll come back and talk about that genetic testing
- 38:31with us because that's really exciting.
- 38:34We're pumped to put that on the show.
- 38:35I would love to 21 all the way down, Doctor Randy.
- 38:39I can't wait. I'll share everything.
- 38:42So I'm excited to share that with our viewers and listeners.
- 38:45Thanks for tuning in in to the Doctor Randy show.
