  Speaker 1: season with perfect in November, could have gone perfect in December.

  Speaker 2: feel like the Pells are actually playing really well. We

  Speaker 2: just kind of hadn't been able to finish it. But

  Speaker 2: I feel like they're they're coming together too.

  Speaker 1: Absolutely. I think that you know, we got we got

  Speaker 1: a nice little starting lineup. We got some great rotating,

  Speaker 1: rotating pieces. I don't know why we're not any more games,

  Speaker 2: Air you end up? That was I think zoning was

  Speaker 2: still I mean, yeah, it stopped after maybe a couple

  Speaker 2: of years, but I was zoned for Basha, But I
• 3:05
  Speaker 2: ended up going to Hamilton really because of baseball and
• 3:09
  Speaker 2: football too. It was kind of multiple factors, but it
• 3:12
  Speaker 2: was kind of more of a baseball school and I
• 3:13
  Speaker 2: played that all the way up until my senior year,
• 3:16
  Speaker 2: and I mean it was just it was. Yeah, it
• 3:18
  Speaker 2: was just the best sports school in the state, especially
• 3:22
  Speaker 2: on Chandler Arizona app and on Arizona Avenue. But yeah,
• 3:27
  Speaker 2: I think it was really because of that and then
• 3:29
  Speaker 2: a bunch of my friends. So it kind of just
• 3:31
  Speaker 2: worked out, you know, that way going to Hamilton, and
• 3:34
  Speaker 2: I was obviously super thankful I did it. Was it
• 3:36
  Speaker 2: was a lot of fun just I mean, you know,
• 3:38
  Speaker 2: going to a big public high school. You got all
• 3:41
  Speaker 2: your friends there, you got everybody kind of this around you.
• 3:44
  Speaker 2: So it helped me out so much just from a
• 3:47
  Speaker 2: competition standpoint too.
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: Absolutely, I try to tell people I was they brought.
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: I think it was like when I was at Chairma High.

  Speaker 1: I think we had like forty eight hundred kids in
• 3:56
  Speaker 1: the school, forty five hundred kids. We were huge. Yeah,
• 4:00
  Speaker 1: and it's probably bigger now.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's probably I think it was hard
• 4:04
  Speaker 2: as forty one or forty two at the time. Yeah,
• 4:06
  Speaker 2: you seen kids, you never seen foreign graduation. But like
• 4:09
  Speaker 2: it's just the influx of just talent though. You got
• 4:13
  Speaker 2: a bunch of people coming in, a bunch of smart kids,
• 4:16
  Speaker 2: you got everybody. So yeah, I think it's like going
• 4:18
  Speaker 2: to a big public high school was the best. I
• 4:20
  Speaker 2: mean it's the best thing because you get to just
• 4:22
  Speaker 2: be around everybody. You're you're kind of throwing to the wolves.

  Speaker 2: Is like sink or swim man, go go make friends.
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: Absolutely. I mean think about downtown Chandler right that, you know,

  Speaker 1: right there's steakhouses, there's nice walking spots. You know, you
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: can get breakfast or whatever. My Downtown Chandler experience was
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: nothing like yours. Like that, there's a there's a golf
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: cart era for you know, like we didn't have that.

  Speaker 1: You know, Socalos was still there, there was Jack in
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: the Box. The whole downtown Movie.
• 4:52
  Speaker 2: Theater was not a bunch of good a bunch of
• 4:54
  Speaker 2: good Mexican spots though I guarantee that was that was
• 4:57
  Speaker 2: still still there. But yeah, I mean that was kind
• 5:00
  Speaker 2: of transitioning. Whenever I was there, it was still a
• 5:02
  Speaker 2: little bit, you know, Chandler was kind of the down
• 5:04
  Speaker 2: downtown area was still kind of like the down end.

  Speaker 2: But I mean, i mean, you know, right now, it's
• 5:11
  Speaker 2: it's pretty nice.

  Speaker 1: Yeah, it's everything. Bro. When I went to high school,

  Speaker 1: literally there was a ton of smaller houses that was
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: getting decimated. It was like we used to call the
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: body like it was just all all straight rows of
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: houses that we ended up taking over and then making
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: super nice once I left and I said, dang, yeah,
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: got good. Now, Okay, we love love to see it.

  Speaker 2: So it's kind of it's kind of popping up all over.

  Speaker 2: I mean, especially Chandler in general, but the entire valley.

  Speaker 1: Is Scottsdale is absurd. You used to, like everybody used
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: to want to like dip into Scottsdale. Now people are
• 5:47
  Speaker 1: just coming from everywhere. Ye l a l a. People
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: are coming in with cash see cash by Seattle, just
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: messing up a whole Like.

  Speaker 2: I'm like, it used to be a civilized state. Now

  Speaker 2: just a bunch of Californians.

  Speaker 1: But a whole bunch of Californians kind of vegan and

  Speaker 1: vegan my spot up. I think, Uh, what you do?

  Speaker 1: What took you to Oregon? How did you get to

  Speaker 1: Oregon originally from you know, from.
• 6:14
  Speaker 2: Yeah, so my mom was originally from there, and I
• 6:18
  Speaker 2: had some family there actually oddly enough in Eugene and
• 6:21
  Speaker 2: like Salem area, so there was a bit of a connection.
• 6:25
  Speaker 2: But I didn't get offers till kind of later in
• 6:28
  Speaker 2: my career because that was kind of the influx. I
• 6:31
  Speaker 2: was on the first junior starter in my like school's
• 6:33
  Speaker 2: history since ninety seven or something, and it's when you
• 6:36
  Speaker 2: were in like your fourth year in the league, I
• 6:38
  Speaker 2: think at that point. And I don't remember when that
• 6:42
  Speaker 2: was for you, but it was a long time and
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: Oregon kind of came came on and at the time,
• 6:48
  Speaker 2: Justin Herbert was playing and is maybe considering leaving or staying,
• 6:52
  Speaker 2: so it was kind of a good opportunity to go
• 6:54
  Speaker 2: either going there and learn grow and then maybe compete
• 6:58
  Speaker 2: for the job. And he ended up staying in both
• 7:01
  Speaker 2: those years. And it was pretty sweet kind of coming
• 7:03
  Speaker 2: in and you off the bat. I mean, I was
• 7:05
  Speaker 2: like six four, one hundred and eighty five pounds. I
• 7:08
  Speaker 2: was like stick thin, just the absolute, like fricking tool,
• 7:12
  Speaker 2: thinking you're the best thing ever, as everyone does coming
• 7:15
  Speaker 2: out of high school. And getting next to her and
• 7:18
  Speaker 2: he's like six six two forty I'm like, yeah, I
• 7:21
  Speaker 2: gotta get a lot better and yeah, and he's ripping
• 7:25
  Speaker 2: like forty yard hole shots and just all I mean,
• 7:29
  Speaker 2: it was. It was awesome. But obviously I met my
• 7:31
  Speaker 2: wife there her family, so it was it was kind
• 7:35
  Speaker 2: of a really cool, kind of full circle moment met
• 7:38
  Speaker 2: like all my closest friends are still there, so I
• 7:40
  Speaker 2: was happy I went, and then you know, COVID hit
• 7:43
  Speaker 2: and then the journey continues through through all that Attech
• 7:47
  Speaker 2: and Louisville and with a few injuries.

  Speaker 1: No doubt. So do you so with the National Championship

  Speaker 2: in Eugene recently, all the trainers, a lot of the

  Speaker 2: strength coaches, like all those people are still the same,

  Speaker 2: and I mean they're the best, so kind of being
• 8:33
  Speaker 2: able to actually go train there for a little bit

  Speaker 2: do some rehab, so I was. I was definitely rooting

  Speaker 2: for them. A couple of my former roommates, Ryan walk

  Speaker 2: shout out him. He's coaching for the team. He's coaching

  Speaker 2: the old line and he's got those those boys dialed.
