- Week 8 Fantasy Football START SIT: We're headed into week eight of the fantasy football season, and at this point, every single lineup decision matters. One wrong decision could be the difference between you watching the playoffs from home or you bringing home that championship trophy. So today we're breaking down every single week eight matchup and letting you know who needs to ride the pine and who you need to get into your lineups. Let's get into it. Welcome back to Fat Daddy Sports. Hey, I am Craig. If you're new here, drop a like, drop a comment, hit that subscribe button. Today we are taking a look at the week eight starts and sits. Who I think you should get into your lineup, who I think you need to avoid. Without further ado, let's jump right into it with Thursday night's matchup. We have got the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers. This one should be a pretty fun game. Both offenses have looked pretty good. Both teams have been been up and down throughout the season, but I think both teams are gonna be very, very ready and eager for this matchup. On the Carolina side of things, I pretty much want everybody. Bryce Young, Chuba Hubbard, Tet McMillan, Jalen Coker are definitely all starts for me. Coker did get a little banged up, so make sure you're checking those injury reports as of the recording of this video. I don't have a whole lot of information, but definitely be checking that out. He had a shoulder injury coming into week seven and ended up having a foot injury as well. So be sure to be checking those injury lineups or injury reports. Make sure that Jalen Coker is out of your lineup if he is not playing in this game in week week number eight. Darren Waller caught a long touchdown pass. I think you probably have better options at the tight end position, but we will go ahead and Start him if you absolutely need to this week. I definitely prefer to look elsewhere. I think that he is probably the fourth best option on this offense, so not somebody that I'm looking to start very frequently. On the Green Bay offense, this is an offense that I really, really like this year. Jordan Love has been playing very good football. Josh Jacobs obviously came back last week and assumed or resumed that RB1 role for the Packers against the Lions. I think he's gonna be even more involved in this game against Carolina. So I definitely want him in my lineups. and then on the wide receiver front, Christian Watson and Matthew Golden are both starts. Golden did get banged up again in this game. So be sure to be checking those injury reports, much like Jalen Coker. And then Tucker Kraft is a start every week for me. Over to Sunday, we've got Baltimore and the Bills. This one should also be very fun, too. A playoff hopeful teams, two teams that really have aspirations to make it to that Super Bowl. This could be a very, very big battle. On the Baltimore side of things, they should. I've said this for like three weeks, but all reports look like Lamar Jackson will be back this week, and I would expect it in a big game against Josh Allen and the Bills. So Lamar Jackson, I have inside of my top, I think, six quarterbacks this week. I'm expecting big things for him in his first week back. Derrick Henry I know that it hasn't been the greatest over the last few weeks as a Derrick Henry owner myself. I know it hasn't been great, but better days are ahead. This offense is going to boom as soon as Lamar is back, and it it probably will this week. So Zay Flowers is a start. Jacoby Lane, I think, could be a flex option pretty much every week. He's gonna have some big weeks, he's gonna have some kind of down weeks, but he's looked good with Snoop Huntley in there at quarterback. I can only imagine what he's gonna do with Lamar in there. And then Mark Andrews has been a pretty big disappointment all year. I'm looking elsewhere at the tight end position. For Buffalo, obviously Josh Allen is in your lineup every week. James Cook, same thing. DJ Moore had been banged up prior to the bye week. Should be back out there this week, but keep an eye on that. If he is not active in this game, then I want Keon Coleman. It's kind of the same thing. It's been all year. If there's no DJ Moore, then I want to fire up Keon Coleman. If DJ Moore is out there, I don't want Keon Coleman. I don't want Khalil Shakir. I don't want any of that. Pretty much I just want James Cook, DJ Moore, and maybe Dalton Kincaid. he got banged up a little bit before the bye back in week six. I think he'll be back out there this week, but definitely keep an eye on that. Over to the Titans and the Bengals, this Titans offense has not been very exciting, but yeah, I had been pretty good on Tony Pollard this whole season. I'd said he's a low end. RB two, he needs to be in your lineup every week. And then I went ahead and took him out of the start care category last week. And what do you know? He rumbles in for three touchdowns. He's back in my start column this week. He is still a middle to low end RB two. I'm not expecting huge things out of him, but he definitely brings that value on the ground. He has the chance of a touchdown at any given moment. And then Carnell Tate, he's really the only other start on this Titans offense. I don't really want to start Carnell Tate, but he he's too good of an athlete. They're targeting him. I think that he could put up a decent day in this one against Cincinnati. On the Cincinnati side of things, Joe Burrow, Chase Brown, Jamar Chase, T. Higgins are all starts for me. Mike Kisicki, I have as a sit. He just doesn't see enough volume for me, but he has scored in like all but one game. I think week two is the only game he hasn't scored in. So If you need a tight end that can go out there and get you eight points, Mike Kisicki is your man. He will more than likely catch a touchdown in this game. Might be the only pass that he catches, but he's probably going to score. Arizona Cardinals versus the Dallas Cowboys on the Arizona side of things, it is a mess. It's been getting worse and worse every week. I don't want Brissett. Tyler Algier has not been great. Bam Knight has been good, but I just Can't bring myself to trust him. Jeremiah Love still injured as of the recording this. Hopefully he'll be back this week, maybe next week. I have no idea. The whole backfield is a mess right now. Jeremiah Love is obviously the the most talented in that room, but I don't know if he's gonna get the carries. I don't even know if he'll be active. So I'm just trying to stay away from that backfield if I can. Michael Wilson, he has not been good since the trade of Marvin Harrison Jr. He's not seeing the volume that he saw before the trade. I've got him as a flex play from now on pretty much. Kendrick Bourne has not really stepped into that role like I thought he would. He is a sit, and then Trey McBride is obviously a start every week. No matter the dumpster fire that is going on around him, he is just too good. On the Dallas side of things, Dak Prescott has looked very, very up and down, but last week he was pretty darn good. So we will put him in the start column. Javante Williams, same thing, looked very, very good. CeeDee Lamb is very good. George Pickens, up and down, but he should see enough volume in this one. And then Jake Ferguson, I am sitting. Dallas just isn't using their tight ends like they have in the past, and they are rotating a lot of guys. So between the number of tight ends they use and the amount that they use the tight end, I just want to stay away from that tight end room altogether. Over to the showdown in Motown. I don't know if it's actually called that. I just said that. I think this is going to be a very good game, as I think most Detroit Lions games are anymore. Their offense is just so much fun. Their team is so much fun to watch. That game against Green Bay last week was very, very entertaining. sorry if you're on the Packers side of things, but that was a very fun game to watch. They are going up a against a very, very good defense in Minnesota this week. they are an elite unit. They're in Minnesota. On the Vikings side of things, on their offense, Kyler Murray, I'm gonna give the start to. I'm very hesitant to do that. I had to stream him last week and I was very, very nervous to do that. He put up okay numbers, nothing crazy. He just hasn't looked very good this year at all. But against that Detroit defense, I think that he may be able to put up some numbers, get that ball to Justin Jefferson, and put up a couple touchdowns. So we'll put him in the start column. Aaron Jones got banged up in this game, a knee injury he's kind of been dealing with all year. Keep an eye on that. But if he is out, Jordan Mason is a must start for me. I really, really like Jordan Mason this year going forward. Justin Jefferson is obviously start, and then Jordan Addison, I'm staying clear of him. TJ Hawkinson, I think, will have a nice day, though. So if you need a tight end, TJ Hawkinson could fit that bill. On the Detroit side of things, same as always. Fire them all up. I think pretty much any week you are. flirting with disaster with Jamison Williams and Sam Laporta, one of them is going to go off at any given time. If you have them on your team, you definitely need to start them because if they're on your bench, they're for sure gonna get thirty points. And then you're just gonna be kicking yourself and mad all week that you didn't start them. So put them in the starting lineup and don't think twice about it. Over to the Indianapolis Colts against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This Colts team is not very good and they seem to be getting worse and worse really Jonathan Taylor is about the only one that I want to start. Even if Tyler Warren is back, I am trying to find better options. I have no idea when Tyler Warren is gonna be back, but if I were him, I don't know that I would really be rushing to get back out there for this Colts offense. Jonathan Taylor is about the only piece that I want there. On the Jacksonville side of things, I want a lot of pieces of that offense. Trevor Lawrence, Bayeshall Tuton, Parker Washington, and Brenton Strange are all starts for me. Brian Thomas Jr., he could be traded by the time this video comes out. Who knows? And then Jacoby Myers, I think, is a nice piece. I just don't know. Maybe if you're in a deeper league and you need a wide receiver play, a flex play, he could be a start. But certainly if you're in a 10 team league, I'm not looking to start Jacoby Myers this week. Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Jets. on the Raiders side of things, Kirk Cousins has been playing pretty good football. The Raiders have just kind of disappointed the last few weeks. If you need a streamer, quarterback, I guess Cousins could be it. He just brings no value with his legs. So I would try to look somewhere else. And then Ashton Genty, I I will start him, Trey Tucker. I was very hesitant on last week just because he has never in his career had back to back big games. He broke that myth last week with his second big game in a row. If you need a flex play, I think Trey Tucker is a very good option. He is clearly the wide receiver one for this Raiders offense and Kirk Cousins looks for him a lot. and then Brock Bowers, you're obviously starting him every single week Over on the Jets side of things, it is not very good. Geno Smith, I guess if you need a streamer in a deeper league, you could throw him in there, but I wouldn't expect a whole lot against this Las Vegas defense. Brees Hall, I hope he comes back for the sake of a couple of my teams this week. But Braylon Allen has been very, very good in his absence. Garrett Wilson, it's tough. You're gonna have to start him if you have him on your team. You can't afford to sit him. But Omar Cooper has been very good these last two weeks. And Geno Smith definitely looks for him. They want to get Omar Cooper the ball. It's just a tough situation, but you you gotta start both of those guys if you have them on your team. And then at the tight end position, Kenyon Sadiq has really taken a back seat. Mason Taylor has come back on. And I just I'm not a big believer in Ma Mason Taylor, so I'm just staying away from the tight ends for New York. For the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers, this one should be another grinded out game. These two teams played each other just a few weeks ago on Thursday night football, I think it was. Yeah, I don't think it was Monday night. I think it was Thursday night. and it was a very fun game. I mean, both offenses kind of put on a show for us. We weren't really expecting that. Aaron Rodgers had three touchdowns in that game. But in this one, I think it might be a little bit different. Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh. I could see this being a more grinded out type game. Pittsburgh offense has I guess really both teams have to prize people this year. but on the Cleveland side of things, Quinch on Judkins, I will start. Dylan Sampson. I know he was probably a waiver wire pickup this week. I'm not ready to start him just yet. He definitely got some run there in Quinshawn Judkin's first game back from injury. We'll see how that shakes out as the weeks go on. But I'm not ready to start Samson just yet. And then the two wide receivers, Denzel Boston and Casey Concepcion. If you got him and you want to put him in your lineup, I'm okay with it. I don't think either of them are really ever going to be maybe a league winner. Maybe I'm shooting myself in the foot by saying that, but I'm I'm pumping the brakes on them just a little bit just because of the environment around them and because they eat into each other's workload a little bit. Both very, very talented NFL wide receivers that are going to be very, very good for a long time. I just don't know about the rest of the season outlook for both of them on the same team. but I'm okay if you want to put him in your starting lineup this week. And then Harold Fannon Jr. had a nice bounce back game last week, but they really haven't been looking for him on a week in and week out basis. If you have somebody else, you probably replaced Fannon last week or two weeks ago. You probably have a better option. If not though, Fannon may go out there and get you a touchdown. On the Pittsburgh side of things, Aaron Rodgers has been spinning that ball multiple touchdowns in multiple games this week or this year. If you need a quarterback this week, I think there are far worse streaming options than Aaron Rodgers. I am okay putting him in that lineup. Jalen Warren has been very, very good for the Steelers. Rico Dado returned last week and kind of ate into that workload little bit. It'll be interesting to see how they those two guys work together and how they incorporate both of them into the offense. But right now I am starting Warren and sitting Dowdle. In the wide receiver room, DK Metcalf and Jeremy Bernard, I'll start both of them. you're just kind of holding your breath on both of them. They're both flex plays kind of. I don't have real high hopes for either of them, but I think that they both can get enough targets to make a dent. And then in the tight end room, Pat Fryermouth, he has been okay pretty much all year. If you need a streamer at the tight end position, you can go ahead and put Friarmouth into your lineup. The Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this one could be a fun matchup. both offenses have been up and down this year, but I think that on paper, these two teams really should be a very good game. On the Atlanta side of things, Michael Penix has been playing very good ball. I think he just had three touchdowns last week, had a pretty good day. I would go ahead and fire him up in a streaming situation. Bijan Robinson, you're obviously starting. Drake London, you're obviously starting. London did get banged up a little bit in that game. He went and got checked out for a concussion. I feel like there was maybe another injury there that I'm I'm forgetting, but certainly check the injury report on Drake London before Sunday. But if he's out there and active, you are throwing him into your lineup and he will produce. And then another guy that has produced it the last few weeks, Kyle Pitts, he has quietly started to turn things around on his season. He's getting more and more involved, playing more snaps, getting more targets. Had a nice touchdown last week on National Tight Ends Day. I would feel comfortable putting Kyle Pitts into my lineup this week. For the Buccaneers, we saw Baker Mayfield return from injury last week, and he wasn't great. I don't really want to put him in my starting lineup just yet. He is going to be a sit for me this week. Bucky Irving has been really, really good this last month or so. He will be in my lineups wherever I can. I have no new information. He was out last week with an injury. May still be out this week. I'm not sure. Be sure to check that out. and then Chris Godwin and Ted Hurst, and they had a golden opportunity last week and they peed it down their legs. I'm staying clear of any pass catchers in this offense outside of Omeka Abuka. And then obviously if he is not out there, I just really don't want any parts out to Los Angeles. The battle between the Chargers and the Rams. On the Chargers side of things, I don't really want any part of this Chargers offense. I know they're coming off of a bye. I thought maybe they'd make some coaching changes during that bye. They they really didn't. and so I'm not really expecting anything different from what we saw the first, what, six weeks of the season? I'm gonna sit. All of these guys, if I have a better option, which you probably do because they have all been hot horse doo-doo over the first six weeks of the season. on the Rams side of things, Stafford, you can go ahead and start. Kyron Williams and Blake Coram have really started to split that workload again, maybe I or a lot of other people expected coming into the year. I think that this is a matchup where they both will be very involved in this game. Puka Nakua should see a ton of targets, and then Tyler Higby. We thought he would see a lot of targets and just when we trusted that they went a whole different way and threw to tight ends that maybe some people have never even heard of last week. So I'm not gonna go ahead and trust Tyler Higbee at all this week. I'm gonna basically just stick to the the basics there in Los Angeles, Stafford, Williams, Corum, and Nakua, and that's really all I want in that game. To the AFC West, the Chiefs and the Broncos for Kansas City, Mahomes has not been great at the last few games, really the last month or so he has not been great. I'm gonna go ahead and sit him down in this game. I think he's probably outside that top fifteen number. He's definitely outside that top twelve for me. I think there's better options for you this week. Kenneth Walker, you're starting every single week. Rishi Rice still battling that injury. We'll see if he is back. I think if he is back, you go ahead and throw him into the lineup. There's a good chance he scores a touchdown in this game. But Xavier Worthy, any of the other pass catchers I want no part of in real life or in fantasy football as a Chiefs fan, it drives me absolutely bonkers that we continue to roll out these guys every single week with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback. but Travis Kelsey, I'm also gonna sit he has been a disappointment the last month or so. I think there's probably better options out there for you to roll with this week. On the Denver side of things, Bo Knicks, we saw him turn things around last week and have a big game. I think I wouldn't expect that to happen again in this one against Kansas City. I will sit him and look for better options this week. And then the backfield Coleman, Dobbins, and Harvey. I don't know what to make of that all. I think Coleman needs to be the guy, and then Harvey needs to get in that third down roll, passing down roll. and then Dobbins needs to just kind of be punted to the moon. But I know that they won't do that. I know that they will give all three of them equal opportunities, and it's going to be a headache for fantasy football. I'm just going to steer clear of it this week and see how it all shakes out. Jalen Waddle is really the only pass catcher I would want in that game, and he left a week seven injured, so be keeping an eye out on the injury report for him. I think even if he is out there, I probably want to look other options. He has not been very great this year, and especially coming off a I think it was a chest injury, I I really just want to avoid that altogether. For the Patriots and the Dolphins, man, this Patriots team has been rolling as of late. I know they didn't get the win in week seven, but they have been a lot of fun to watch. Drake May as a start. Ramondre Stevenson, he has really kind of separated himself as that RB one. You can go ahead and throw him into your lineup as an RB two or a flex play. Trevion Henderson, he's just disappeared. Corey Kiner has come on to the scene for the Patriots, and I don't know, they just don't like Treyvon, I guess. So I I'm keeping him out of my lineups wherever I can. AJ Brown, I know it hasn't been good since he returned from injury, but better days are ahead for AJ Brown. He is the alpha wide receiver one there for New England. He's gonna get involved, he's gonna get those catches, and he's gonna start to take off here in the second half of the season. And then Hunter Henry, he has been very quietly very good over the last, I don't know, three or four weeks for the Patriots. We saw this last year when Stefan Diggs was there as wide receiver one. May really looked for his wide receiver one and Hunter Henry. And you're starting to see that play out again. Hunter Henry is a low end tight end one, but he's putting up pretty good numbers. If you need a streamer this week, go ahead and throw Hunter Henry into your lineup. On the Miami side of things, a little bit better days ahead or a little bit better days last week for this Miami offense. They got things cooking a little bit. Malik Willis, I'm still gonna sit down. He he showed some better improvement, but I'm not ready to throw him into my lineup just yet. Ali Gordon has been very good, maybe the waiver wire pickup of the year so far. He is in my lineup everywhere I can. Jalen Wright got banged up in week seven, so keep an eye on the news with him. Chris Bell, my Malik Washington, Caleb Douglas. I just don't know which one's gonna pop off at any given time. I think that Douglas has a lot of ability and could be that guy. Malik Washington has been that lead wide receiver throughout the season. And then Chris Bell obviously had a lot of hype coming into the season, but I just don't know who's gonna pop off when. I'm not looking to actively, you know, start any of those three guys right now in my lineups. and then Greg Dulcich I have on this list for the first time this year. He is finally starting to get used like I thought. Coming into the season, he would. Last week was very, very encouraging. So keep him on your radar, but definitely don't get him into your lineup just yet. And then over to the NFC East, the Eagles and the Commanders. Tanner McKee is a sit. Saquon Barkley just got reinjured. his hamstring and his back came back from that hamstring, hamstring injury, and then re injured it on Monday night football in week seven. Keep an eye on that. I don't think it's gonna be good news for Saquon Barkley or for his managers. but then Damian Pierce, if Barkley misses time, I would go ahead and throw Pierce into your lineups. He should have no competition for touches. But as of right now, Saquon Barkley is RB1. So I'm gonna sit Damian Pierce as long as Barclay is around. Devonta Smith, if he's back, he's in your lineup. I I don't know what to make of his injuries. I don't know if they're gonna shut him down for the year. but if he's out there, he's active, no questions asked. Makai Lemon, if Devontae Smith misses, Devon Dontavian Wiggs, Darius Cooper, You never know from day to day who's going to be in, who's going to be out for this Philadelphia team. Mikhail Lemon showed good things on Monday night. Obviously, he was a very good college wide receiver. They had high hopes for him when they drafted him. I think if there's injuries there to the wide receiver room, Mikhail Lemon kind of elevates that room, and I would look to start him, but I I don't know what to make of this Philadelphia offense right now. Dallas Goddard is a start for me just because of all the other injuries. On the Washington side of things, Jaden Daniels, you can go ahead and start him. I think he brings enough value with his legs that he should be okay. Rashad White should have the backfield pretty much to himself, with the exception of Austin Eckler. I just don't know how much he will produce, so I'm not ready to throw him into my lineup just yet, unless you're in an absolute pinch. Stephon Diggs, I think, could be a good flex play. Should see a lot of targets there. They have come out and pretty much said that their wide receiver room is not going to change a whole lot with the loss of Terry McLaurin. So it'll be interesting to see how things shake out. Antonio Williams, I have as a sit. Traylon Burks, I don't have listed here, but he would be a sit as well. I think Stefan Diggs is the only wide receiver I would feel comfortable putting into my lineup this week. But another name to watch in that commander's offense is Chiga Conquo. I think that he could eat over the second half of this of the season with Terry McLaurin out. We saw in the game that Terry got hurt, Chig Econquo came in, and I think he had seven catches, a ton of yards, and I think that that could continue throughout the rest of the season. And finally, we have arrived at Monday Night Football, the Bears and the Seahawks. This one should be very, very entertaining. A good Bears offense against a an elite Seahawks defense. Caleb Williams, DeAndre Swift, Luther Burden, and Colson Lovelin all starts for me. Roma Dunze, I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger there yet. I think Luther Burden is that wide receiver one. We'll see. Last game they split halves and who was going off and who wasn't, but I do think Luther Burden is that guy for Chicago. And then in the running back room, Kyle Manungay, maybe we'll get him back this week, maybe not. Even if we do get him back, we saw Roshan Johnson pretty much. completely wiped out of the game plan last week against New England. I think that the same will probably probably be true here against Seattle. I think DeAndre Swift will just handle the entire workload. If Monungai's back, maybe he gets some goal line work, but I would think that they'll ease him back in with his injuries. And then over to the Seattle side of things, Sam Darnold, you can go ahead and fire him up. Zach Charbonnet, I think will be back this week. I said that last week. All all signs were pointing to that. And then all of a sudden he was inactive. So if he is back, I think that he will handle a good workload, maybe a fifty-fifty split with Emmanuel Wilson. I think that George Helani is going to be completely phased out of this offense, especially once Jadarian Price comes back. They just opened up his window, so he'll be back within three weeks. and I think George Helani his days are done there in Seattle. Jackson Smith and Jigba is obviously a start and that's pretty much all I want for the Seattle offense. Well that is all I've got for you here in the week eight starts and sits.
