- 0:01Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to Radio Eyes during story Hour. As
- 0:04a reminder, Radio Eye is reading service intended for people
- 0:08who are blind or have other disabilities that make it
- 0:11difficult to read prima material. Today we will continue with
- 0:16Easter books. Your reader is Diane. We will continue with
- 0:22the book The baron Steene Bears and the Real Easter Eggs.
- 0:27It was published by Random House and has a copyright
- 0:30year of two thousand and two. The authors of the
- 0:33book are seen in jan Berens scene. The day of
- 0:36the Easter egg hunt, Dawn's bright and early sister, brother
- 0:40and dozens of their friends were on the town square
- 0:43waiting for Mayor Honeypot to give the signal for the
- 0:46hunt to begin. They had bags and baskets of every
- 0:50shape to gather the eggs. Brother and sister were especially
- 0:54well prepared. They each had a big basket, the better
- 0:57to carry the eggs they would find. When the mayor
- 1:00gave the signal, it was helter skelter, gather gather here
- 1:04an egg there, an egg everywhere, an egg egg. But
- 1:07brother and sister had a plan. Instead of hunting where
- 1:10the other cups were, they quickly moved to the woods
- 1:14at the edge of the square. Here's a red one,
- 1:17and a pink one, and a green one, shouted sister
- 1:20as she popped the eggs into the shopping bag. And
- 1:22here's an orange one, and a yellow one, and a
- 1:25lavender one, cried brother as he popped them into his bag.
- 1:29A little while later, Brother noticed that sister had become
- 1:32very quiet. He turned and starts standing over so still,
- 1:37looking into some bushes. And here, says sister, in a
- 1:41soft hushed voice that brother could hardly hear. Our five
- 1:46tiny blue eggs and a nest deep in the bushes.
- 1:49Ever so carefully and quietly, Brother moved into the bushes
- 1:53and looked over sister's shoulder at the real Easter eggs,
- 1:57And together they watched as one by one, each tiny
- 2:00blue egg cracked open and a tiny scraggly wet baby
- 2:04robin struggle to climb out. From time to time, the
- 2:07mother of father Robin came to the nest with food
- 2:11worms and insects. They took terms putting the food in
- 2:14the wide open beaks of the baby birds. Brother and
- 2:17sister watched for a long time. They hardly moved. It
- 2:21was as if they were under a spell. It was
- 2:23the most wonderful and amazing thing they had ever seen.
- 2:27They missed most of the Easter ey hunt, but since
- 2:30every cup got a prize, they got some goodies. For
- 2:33the eggs they had already gathered a few chocolate eggs,
- 2:37but mostly jelly beans, which they shared with Papa. They
- 2:40gave him the black ones. Many of sistern Brother's friends
- 2:44won the really big prizes, but that was okay. The
- 2:47sugar trimed chocolate eggs and the giant chocolate bunny would
- 2:51not only soon be gone, they would leave quite a
- 2:54few tummy eggs behind. Sister and brother would never forget
- 2:58those baby birds, and the wonder of Easter in his
- 3:02message of new life, would stay with them forever. Now
- 3:07we will be listening to some Curious George stories, and
- 3:11the first book is Curious George Visits the Dentist. It
- 3:15was published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and it has a
- 3:19copyright ear of twenty fourteen. The author of our book
- 3:25is Monica Perez. George was a good little monkey and
- 3:30always very curious when he visited his neighbor, Missus Ross.
- 3:35He was especially curious about her gleaming basket of fruit
- 3:39that bright red apple on top looked too perfect to
- 3:42be true, and it was. George bent into it and
- 3:46discovered that it was hard and sticky and not sweet.
- 3:49Oh dear, said missus Ross. That's not a red apple, George.
- 3:53It's made of wax. George's tooth began to hurt. You
- 3:57should always ask before eating something, George. The man with
- 4:00a yellow hat reminded him. By the time he went
- 4:03to bed that evening, George's tooth was less sore, but
- 4:07the next morning, his tooth was wobbly. His mouth felt
- 4:10so strange that George couldn't even enjoy his favorite pancake breakfast.
- 4:15We should see the dentists, George, the man said, she
- 4:18can make sure that tooth of yours is all right.
- 4:24The man explained that the genist was a doctor for teeth,
- 4:27but George didn't want anyone to touch his tooth, what
- 4:30if it hurt. George walked along the path to the
- 4:32dentist's office with his friend, his steps getting slower and slower,
- 4:36until he ran off to pick a daisy. That's very pretty,
- 4:40said the man, chasing after George. But we have an
- 4:43appointment and we shouldn't be late. You'll be a good
- 4:47little monkey, won't you? George nodded. He always wanted to
- 4:51be good. The waiting room was a welcoming place. There
- 4:55were lots of things to see and do. When by
- 4:57one the young patients were called away by a woman
- 5:00in a white suit, George watched them go through a
- 5:03red door, each holding to a grown up's hand. One
- 5:06frightened boy was carried in by his mother. George was
- 5:10glad he wouldn't have to see the dentist by himself. George,
- 5:14you're next, the woman announced. George was sad to put
- 5:17down his book, but he was also a little curious
- 5:20about where the children were going. Was there a play
- 5:23area on the other side. The examining room was not
- 5:27filled with toys, but it was still interesting. There was
- 5:30a sink and a long chair for lying down. There
- 5:33was a stool for the dentist and a light above
- 5:36the chair. George was curious why were there two falses
- 5:41in the room. Hello, George, I'm doctor Wang. It's nice
- 5:46to meet you, she said, Why don't you lie down
- 5:48and we'll take a look at your teeth. George sorrow
- 5:51of silver gentle exam tools on the counter. They were long,
- 5:55shiny and pointy. He hid behind the man. George, would
- 6:01you like to try the chair first, the man asked.
- 6:06Great idea, said doctor Wang. The man lay down, open
- 6:12your mouth wide. The dinnisteine one big light down into
- 6:16the man's mouth. She took out a small white instrument
- 6:19to take a closer look at each tooth. This is
- 6:22a mouth mirror. George watched. It didn't look too scary. Next,
- 6:27I'll count the teeth, Doctor Wang told George. She picked
- 6:31up one of those sharp pointy tools. This is an
- 6:34exploor one, two, three, four. Then the man exclaimed owl
- 6:39ooh oh, the genist said George ran away. He left
- 6:44the exam room and scraried down the hall. There were
- 6:47many doors. He didn't know which way was the out.
- 6:50He tried one door and walked into another exam room.
- 6:53A monkey a little girl cried and jumped off the
- 6:56exam chair in excitement as George backed out of the room.
- 7:01He continued down the hall, opening doors and disturbing patients.
- 7:05In one room, the scared little boy from the reception
- 7:08area was crying. George had an idea. He jumped onto
- 7:12a table and began juggling packs of gentlefoss. The little
- 7:15boy stopped crying and smiled. Next, George leaped over to
- 7:19the sink in the middle of the room. He pushed
- 7:21a button and the nearby water jets spurted sprain water
- 7:27around the room. George squirted water to his own mouth
- 7:30and into the boy's mouth too. Next, George decided to
- 7:34switch on the overhead lamp, but the lamp tumbled over,
- 7:37spilling George safely on the floor. The boy clapped, but ooh, ooh.
- 7:42Doctor Wange stood in the doorway. George, you naughty monkey.
- 7:47Doctor Wayne said, what a mess you've made. This monkey
- 7:51was the only one who could get Tyler stopped crying.
- 7:54The boy's mother said, hmm. Doctor Wayne considered. She said,
- 7:59it does look like we have some eager young patience.
- 8:02And if it weren't for you, George, I wouldn't have
- 8:04found the cavity in your friend's mouth. Turns out I
- 8:07need to have a feeling. The man with the yellow
- 8:09hat said, come on, George, let's both get our teeth checked.
- 8:14As soon as doctor Wang looked into George's mouth, she laughed, why, George,
- 8:19all you have is a loose tooth. A loose tooth
- 8:22sound to worrisome, to George, it's going to fall out soon.
- 8:26There's a new permanent tooth right behind. It looks like
- 8:29you've been doing a good job brushing your teeth. George
- 8:32jumped on his chair. He did. He brushed every night
- 8:35and morning. Keep brushing, and don't eat too many sweets.
- 8:38The dentists reminded him, you want your teeth to be
- 8:41in good shape for the tooth Fairy. George waved goodbye
- 8:45to his new friends. He went home with a new toothbrush,
- 8:48some dental floss, and instructions for his loose tooth. He
- 8:52should bite into as many hard apples as he could,
- 8:55as long as they were real. Of course, he decided
- 8:58he didn't mind going to Jennist at all. That naughty
- 9:01ate a healthy dinner with an apple for dessert. His
- 9:04tooth fell out with the second bike. He put his
- 9:07tooth under his pillow. The next morning, George found a
- 9:11special coin in his tooth's place. When Missus Ross came
- 9:14to check on George that afternoon, George prowaly showed her
- 9:17his coin from the Toothbairy. Missus Ross laughed and said, well,
- 9:22that was a quick way to lose a tooth, But
- 9:25I don't recommend it next time. The next book is
- 9:29called Curious George Plumber's Helper. It was published by Houghton
- 9:34Mifflin Harcourt and has a copyright year of two thousand
- 9:39and ten. It's an adaptation by Marcigo, Burke Sachs and
- 9:45Praya Garri de Say, based on the TV series Tell
- 9:49a play written by Joe Fallon. George loved bath time.
- 9:54Today he had a good idea. He took a box
- 9:56of new toys into the bath with him, but these
- 10:01toys didn't float like his usual bath toys. With bath
- 10:05time over, George pulled the stopper. All the water went
- 10:08down the drain, and so did the toys. George thought hard.
- 10:12Since the toys went away when the water drained, maybe
- 10:15they would come back up if he filled the tub again.
- 10:19George turned the bathtub faucet. Ooh oh, water began to
- 10:23pour from the sink. Instead, water was backing up in
- 10:28every sink in the apartment, even in the kitchen. What's
- 10:31going on, wondered the man with the yellow hat. Was
- 10:35time to call the plumber, mister Auger. The plumber arrived
- 10:40from the plunger and his tool belt to the wrynches
- 10:42in his toolbox. Mister Auger had some of the best
- 10:46tools George had ever seen. George went with mister Auger
- 10:51to the basement where the pipes were. Some pipes bring
- 10:54water in and some take water out. Mister Auger exclaimed,
- 10:58this main valve turns the water on and off the
- 11:00whole building. He told George, mister Auger used to wrench
- 11:04to close the main valve. Now that the water's turned off,
- 11:07he explained, we can check inside the pipes in your
- 11:11apartment to find the clock that is causing the problem.
- 11:14Then mister Auger showed George how to remove a pipe
- 11:17joint and drain the bathroom sink. George peeked inside the pipe.
- 11:21Mister Auger looked too, but he didn't find a clock.
- 11:25Mister Auger unscrewed pipes in the kitchen and using his screwdriver,
- 11:29he found the clog George's toys. But how did they
- 11:33get from the bathroom to the kitchen. Mister Auger explained
- 11:37that water from the bath pushed the toys down the
- 11:39pipes until the toy snake got dangled up and stuck.
- 11:43The other toys got stuck in the same spot too.
- 11:46The water couldn't get through, so it started going up
- 11:51other pipes and out into the sinks. After mister Ogar
- 11:55tightened the pipes in the apartment, he let George open
- 11:58the main valve in the basement. Couldn't believe it. Now
- 12:01he knew how to fix a clog. Drained too. After
- 12:04lunch the next day, the man asked George to clean
- 12:07up because he had to go out. Make sure to
- 12:09jump the food out before you wash the dishes and
- 12:12the dishwasher, he reminded George as he left, So George
- 12:17poured the food down the dishwasher drains. After loading all
- 12:22the dishes, George started the dishwasher, water and bubbles started
- 12:26oozing out of the machine. George decided there must be
- 12:30a new clog in the pipe. He swung into action.
- 12:33Using his monkey tools, he closed the main valve in
- 12:36the basement just like mister Auger. George unscrewed the pipes
- 12:41and checked for clogs, but he didn't find anything. Maybe
- 12:45the clog was gone. George reopened the main valve in
- 12:48the basement, but upstairs the dishwasher was still overflowing. As
- 12:54he walked home, the man with the yellow hat noticed
- 12:56that water was pouring off of his balcony like a
- 12:59water fault. The man called the plumber right away. The
- 13:03food clogged the dishwasher, just like your toys clogged the pipes,
- 13:07mister Auger said. George finally understood only liquid should go
- 13:11down the drain. That night, when George took his bath,
- 13:15he didn't have to worry about clogging the pipes. His
- 13:20new bath toy was too big to go down the drain.
- 13:24Our next book is Our next books are going to
- 13:28be on voices, and our first book is Chatterbox Bear,
- 13:33and it was published by Hotter Children's Books and the
- 13:38copyright years twenty nineteen. The author of our book is
- 13:43Pepa Kernik. Gary was the world's biggest chatterbox. Roar. He
- 13:53chatted everywhere to everyone all the time. Roar. He chatted
- 13:58in the bath, in the supermarket, and even in the library.
- 14:04Roar sh The other bears just wanted some peace and quiet.
- 14:12It made Gary feel very sad. Somebody somewhere must like
- 14:17chatting as much as I do. So Gary packed his bag,
- 14:21patched up his old boat, and set out to find
- 14:24someone to chat to. At first, it was plain sailing,
- 14:28but soon the sea got choppy, and then the boat
- 14:31sprang a week bear overboard. Luckily, Gary spotted a tiny island.
- 14:38Hooray Dot. The bird was hopping along the beach when
- 14:43she saw Gary. Hello, said Gary, raising his amazing, big
- 14:47black eyebrow. Hello, said Dot. But bears don't speak bird,
- 14:53and all gary herd was squawk, and birds don't speak bears,
- 14:58so all Dot heard was roar. Oh dear, Dot called
- 15:03her friends. Maybe they could speak bear, but Gary couldn't
- 15:09understand a word. Just then Gary's tomue, he rumbled. I'm
- 15:15so hungry, said Gary, wobbling his eyebrow. The birds were baffled.
- 15:21Does he want to build a nest? Wonder? Dot? No,
- 15:26growled Gary. I really want some lemonade, said Gary, wibbling
- 15:32his eyebrow. Has he got an itch guest? Dot no no,
- 15:38yelled Gary. And I'm very very hot, said Gary, with
- 15:42an enormous frown. Maybe he's trying to fly, suggested Dot.
- 15:48No no no, roared Gary. Gary's eyebrow gave a tremendous wibblewobble.
- 15:54I just want to chat, but no one understands me,
- 15:57and he burst into tears. Dot had been watching Gary
- 16:01very carefully and she suddenly loud let out a great squawk.
- 16:06Look at his eyebrow, it all droopy and sad. Maybe
- 16:10he can tell us other things with his eyebrow. Dot
- 16:14handed Gary a stick. He drew his eyebrow shapes in
- 16:17the sand next to the picture of what each one meant.
- 16:23I know, let's all learn to speak bear, said Dot.
- 16:27But first we need eyebrows of our own. Soon there
- 16:32were eyebrows everywhere, seaweed eyebrows, leaf eyebrows, fuzzy bug eyebrows,
- 16:40string eyebrows, stick eyebrows, worm eyebrows, prong eyebrows. All the
- 16:47birds began copying, copying Gary's eyebrow movements, and slowly, but surely,
- 16:53they all started to speak the same language. What a discovery.
- 16:57We love our eyebrows, said Dot, and we talking there.
- 17:01They celebrated with crabcakes and seaweed donuts, Gary's favorite, and
- 17:06they drank lovely bubbly lemonade by moonlight. It's a perfect
- 17:10eyebrow party. The only thing that made it even more
- 17:13perfect was dancing. Come on, Gary, follow our eyebrows and dance,
- 17:19said Dot. Gary was the happiest he'd ever been. I
- 17:24like to stay here with you he said, wibbling and
- 17:27wabbling his eyebrow. You're all such a lovely bunch of chatterboxes.
- 17:32Just then the bird spoted something far out at sea.
- 17:36It was getting closer and closer. It was a dog. Hello,
- 17:41said Gary Woof, said Barry, moving his gigantic mustache. Oh,
- 17:47said Dot, Can anyone speak dog? Our next book is
- 17:54called Voices in the Park and it was published by
- 17:57DK Publishing Incorporated and has a copyright here of nineteen
- 18:04ninety eight, and the author of the book is Anthony Brown.
- 18:09First Voice. It was time to take Victoria, our pedigree labrador,
- 18:14and Charles, our son for a walk. When we arrived
- 18:18at the park, I let Victoria off her leash. Immediately,
- 18:22some scruffy mongrel appeared and started bothering her. I shoot
- 18:26it off, but the horrible thing chased her all over
- 18:29the park. I ordered it to go away, but it
- 18:31took no notice of me whatsoever. Sit I said to Charles. Here.
- 18:37I was just planning what we should have to eat
- 18:40that evening. When I saw Charles had disappeared, Oh dear,
- 18:44where had he gone? You get some frightful types in
- 18:48the park these days. I called his name for what
- 18:51seemed like ages. Then I saw him talking to a
- 18:54very rough looking child. Charles, come here at once, I said,
- 18:59And I'm here, please Victoria. We walked home in silence.
- 19:05Second voice, I need to get out of the house.
- 19:08So me and Smudge took the dog to the park.
- 19:14He loves it there. I wish I had half the
- 19:17energy he's got. I fettled on a bench and looked
- 19:22through the paper for a job. I know it's a
- 19:25waste of time, but you've got to have some hope,
- 19:27haven't you. And it was time to go. Smudge cheered
- 19:31me up. She chattered happily to me all the way home.
- 19:39Third voice, I was home on my own again. It's
- 19:43so boring. Then my mother said that it was time
- 19:45for a walk. There was a very friendly dog in
- 19:48the park and Victoria was having a great time. I
- 19:52wish I was. Do you want to come on a slide?
- 19:56A voice asked. It was a girl, unfortunately, but I anyway.
- 20:00She was great on the slide. She went really fast.
- 20:03I was amazed. The two dogs raced around like old friends.
- 20:08The girl took off her coat and swung on the
- 20:11climbing bars, so I did the same. I'm good at
- 20:14climbing trees, so I showed her how to do it.
- 20:16She told me her name was Smudge, a funny name,
- 20:19I know, but she's nice. Then my mother caught us
- 20:23talking together and I had to go home. Maybe Smudge
- 20:26will be there next time. Fourth voice. Dad had been
- 20:32really fed up, so I was happy when he said
- 20:35we could take Albert to the park. Albert's always in
- 20:38such a hurry to let off his leash. He went
- 20:41straight up to this nice dog and sniffed his backside.
- 20:44He always does that. Of course, the other dog didn't mind,
- 20:48but its owner was really angry. The silly twit I
- 20:52got talking to this boy. I thought he was kind
- 20:55of a whimp at first, but he's okay. We played
- 20:58on the sea saw and he didn't say much, but
- 21:00later on he was more friendly. We both burst out
- 21:06laugh and when we saw Albert take in a swim.
- 21:09Then we all played on the bandstand and I felt
- 21:12really really happy. Charlie picked a flower and gave it
- 21:17to me. Then his mom called him and he had
- 21:19to go. He looks sad. When I got home, I
- 21:22put the flour in some water and made dead a
- 21:26nice cup of coco. The next stories are about animals
- 21:30called I Found a Frog, and it was published by
- 21:35Monkey Pen and the author excuse me. It has a
- 21:43copyright date of twenty twenty and the author is T. Albert.
- 21:52Even though I have grandchildren of my own, it seems
- 21:54like it was only yesterday when I returned home from
- 21:56school to find a frog in my bedroom. My mother
- 21:59just when I yelled out, I found a frog on
- 22:03my bed. Now, she knew that I would eventually find one,
- 22:06but she let me discover a wonder nature that people miss.
- 22:11You see a little earlier that spring, when I was
- 22:13six years old, I saw some little blackfish in a pond.
- 22:17Since I didn't have any pets, I went home and
- 22:20asked my mother if I could have one. After we
- 22:23talked about my catching some of the fish I saw
- 22:27and the responsibility of having a pet, she agreed. She
- 22:30gave me a bowt told me to catch a few,
- 22:31and said that while I was out, she would prepare
- 22:34their new home. Off I went. There were so many
- 22:38that they were easy to catch. I filled the boat
- 22:41and ran home. When I got home, my mother had
- 22:43an old fish bow filled with water sitting on the
- 22:46corner of my desk. She asked to see the fish.
- 22:49Looked and with a big smile said, tadpos Wow, you
- 22:53are in for surprise. I asked what she meant, and
- 22:56she just said that I would have to wait and see,
- 23:00but to watch my fish carefully for a few weeks.
- 23:03I know somewhere changing. Mom, I yelled with excitement, Come here,
- 23:07my fish are growing legs. She came into my room, looked, smiled,
- 23:11and told me to keep watching. After several more weeks,
- 23:14there were so many changes, Mom, I yelled with excitement,
- 23:18Come here, my fish are growing front legs and their
- 23:20tail is going away. A week or so later, when
- 23:24I got up, I was amazed there were more changes.
- 23:27My fish didn't have tails, their legs were bigger, and
- 23:30they didn't look like the little blackfish I had caught
- 23:33earlier in the spring. That day, when I returned home
- 23:37from school, is when I yelled out I found a
- 23:40frog in my bed. Surprised, yelled, mom, you watched a
- 23:44miracle right before your eyes. A fish changed into a frog.
- 23:49Off I went. Our next story is called Terence Turtle's
- 23:56New Home and it was published by a Monkey Pin
- 24:00and has a copyright ear of twenty twenty. The author
- 24:03is T. Albert on a huge mountain in a big forest.
- 24:07There was a medium sized metal and a small pond.
- 24:10And this small pond lived Terrence the turtle and his
- 24:12two best buddies, Sam and Sally Swan. Oh you may
- 24:16think it, ah, that a turtle and swans were buddies,
- 24:19really true friends, But I assure you they were. Every
- 24:22day the three of them would search the pond for food,
- 24:25swim together, and play games and tell stories on the shore.
- 24:29When it got dark, Sam and Sally would return to
- 24:32their nest under a large tree, and Terence to his
- 24:34din on the shore by their tree. One year, there
- 24:38was very little ring and the pond began to dry up.
- 24:40The three friends were concerned and talked about what they
- 24:43should do. We should stay here, said Terrence. The rain
- 24:46always comes and the pond has been our home since
- 24:49we were born. I don't think the pond the last,
- 24:51said Sally. I think we need to find a new home,
- 24:54said Sam. And Sam flew away in search of a
- 24:57new pond. After several days, Sam returned to find the
- 25:01pond almost dry and his friends not doing well at all.
- 25:04Sam Terrence shouted excitedly, we are so glad to see
- 25:07you the pond is almost dry, Sally is hungry and scared,
- 25:11and my shell is starting to crack. Did you find
- 25:13a new home? Yes, said Sam. It is a beautiful
- 25:17but far away, and I don't know how we'll get there.
- 25:20The three talked for a long time. Then Terence said
- 25:24I will stay here and dig deep into my den,
- 25:27and the two of you, my two true friends, fly
- 25:30to your new home. No, shouted Sally, we will all go.
- 25:34There has to be a way, said Sam. The three
- 25:37sat under the bright sun in silence, thinking of a
- 25:39way to get far away pond. I know how to
- 25:43do it, shouted Terrence. See that stick, he said to
- 25:47Sam Sally, and you will each take an into your
- 25:50bill and I will bite it in the middle. Then
- 25:52you can fly to our new home while I hang
- 25:54on the stick. We can all go together again. The
- 25:58three sat in silence thinking of Terrence's idea. It will work,
- 26:02said Sally. I agree, said Terence, Maybe, said Sam. Sam
- 26:07looked at Terrence and Sally for a few minutes and said, yes,
- 26:10I think it will work. But none of us can
- 26:12talk or open our mouths. No matter what. Does everyone understand?
- 26:16Does everyone agree? Yes? Said Sally, I agree too, said Terence. Terence,
- 26:22Sam firmly said, is almost important that you do not
- 26:26talk or open your mouth. Remember you can't fly, I understand,
- 26:31said Terence. Within minutes, Sally and Sam each had the
- 26:34stick firmly held in their bills. Sam opened his mouth
- 26:37and bit down on the stick. They were off. Sally
- 26:40Swan and Sam Swan flew side by side, separated by
- 26:44a stick, with terence turtle hanging in the middle. It's
- 26:47a very strange but funny sight. As they flew, climbing
- 26:50higher and higher, no one dared talk or open their mouth.
- 26:53Faster and faster, higher and higher, Sally and Sam flew.
- 26:57Terence was terrified. As they passed over town, they could
- 27:01hear the people talking and laughing. Look up in the sky,
- 27:05shouted one boy, what is it? Asked another. As the
- 27:08people looked up, they began to laugh at the strange sight.
- 27:11They laughed, whistled, hoo did and hollered at the silly
- 27:14Swans carrying a turtle on a stick. Terence heard all
- 27:18the noise, but couldn't look down to see what was
- 27:20going on. Ignoring the advice that Sam had given him,
- 27:24he opened his mouth to ask him what was happening.
- 27:26Before he could say a word, he was falling and
- 27:29looking up at his flying friends. Oh don't worry, Terence
- 27:33didn't get hurt. You see, they were close enough to
- 27:35their new home. So Terence fell into the big deep pond.
- 27:39But not listening to his true friend could have ended
- 27:41it differently for him. This concludes the Children's Story Hour
