- 0:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's Talk White Sox right now with Davis Martin
- 0:14Speaker 1: joining us on FT. Davis, great to have you on
- 0:16Speaker 1: the show. What have you had to deal with AJ
- 0:19Speaker 1: a lot lately?
- 0:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, he says he's talked to me a
- 0:22Speaker 2: ton realities. We just listened to Ozzie last night. We
- 0:25Speaker 2: didn't have lot, so.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Last night we had a city We had a city
- 0:31Speaker 3: cruise last night and we had him and Davis, Sean Burke,
- 0:33Speaker 3: myself and Ozzy and Davis and I were sitting next
- 0:35Speaker 3: to each other and then Sean was next to me,
- 0:37Speaker 3: and then Ozzie was on the end and.
- 0:39Speaker 4: It was great. So that was their first I think
- 0:41Speaker 4: that was their first.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Now your first in person Ozzy experience for more than
- 0:46Speaker 3: like a five minute interaction.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:48Speaker 4: I was telling him.
- 0:49Speaker 3: I was like this, we got this for one hundred
- 0:51Speaker 3: and sixty two plus springs, so like two hundred days
- 0:53Speaker 3: a year of this every single day.
- 0:56Speaker 5: He's like, Wow, dominates any room that he's in.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Oh, my favorite. My favorite thing last night is someone
- 1:04Speaker 2: asked AJ a question and then she walks up, she
- 1:08Speaker 2: goes a, J I have a question for you, and
- 1:09Speaker 2: I have a question for Ozzie and We're like, okay, great.
- 1:11Speaker 2: She asked aj the question and I blink and Ozzie's
- 1:15Speaker 2: talking for like twenty minutes, and I was like, was
- 1:20Speaker 2: this question for you? And He's like, I don't know, man,
- 1:23Speaker 2: just sweat him.
- 1:24Speaker 5: Do the things you're so used to it.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm so used to.
- 1:27Speaker 3: But I told Davis when he originally agreed to do this,
- 1:30Speaker 3: I go, Ozzie beyond, don't worry. I'll make it easy
- 1:32Speaker 3: for us because all you do is just let him go,
- 1:35Speaker 3: and he'll just go and go and go. And it
- 1:37Speaker 3: doesn't like they could be like, Davis, man, you're off
- 1:39Speaker 3: to an unbelievable start this year. How are things going on?
- 1:42Speaker 3: Ozzie be like, man, Sean berker pis great today and done.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Go back in two thousand and seven we did this
- 1:48Speaker 3: and then oh yeah, and then David's like, yeah, thanks,
- 1:51Speaker 3: I'm doing well, thank you. It's like one boint Davis
- 1:55Speaker 3: got up to use the restroom and I.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Was like, man, that was good time as well.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I knew Ozzie got asked a question, so I had
- 2:01Speaker 3: plenty of time to go down and come back.
- 2:03Speaker 1: So it's probably still talking about that, all right, So
- 2:06Speaker 1: we're actually going to put you on the spot here
- 2:08Speaker 1: for the next ten minutes, Davis. So let's start with
- 2:11Speaker 1: an easy topic that I think needs to be talked
- 2:13Speaker 1: about more and more. Give us everything we need to
- 2:16Speaker 1: know about Morikami right now. What you're seeing on the field,
- 2:18Speaker 1: what he's like off the field, how he's getting acclimated
- 2:22Speaker 1: to the culture here too, which for some players can
- 2:25Speaker 1: be very difficult, whether it's a player going from here
- 2:27Speaker 1: overseas to Japan or vice versa.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Give us everything you've witnessed.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I think first off, on the field,
- 2:33Speaker 2: like you can see everything that he's capable of, and
- 2:36Speaker 2: I think the most impressive thing I think I've seen
- 2:39Speaker 2: is that just his takes. You know, obviously he's walking
- 2:41Speaker 2: a lot. I think that's a big thing. Coming over.
- 2:44Speaker 2: It's just like the amount of stuff that you have,
- 2:46Speaker 2: not only from your front end starters, but you know,
- 2:47Speaker 2: you can have your fourth, fifth guy out of the bullpen,
- 2:50Speaker 2: you know, having higher average felow than he's probably seen,
- 2:53Speaker 2: probably has better breaking stuff than he's probably seen. But
- 2:56Speaker 2: his command of the plate, it's been great. And when
- 2:57Speaker 2: he's pitches to hit, he's crushed him, which has been awesome.
- 3:00Speaker 2: And for a personality standpoint, I feel like he slides
- 3:03Speaker 2: right in. I mean, I'm happy where our culture is
- 3:05Speaker 2: at right now and where he's coming into it, because
- 3:07Speaker 2: i feel like he's kind of just accepted it and
- 3:09Speaker 2: just rolled right into it and as one of the guys.
- 3:12Speaker 2: And you know, I'm also very impressed with his his
- 3:15Speaker 2: overall work ethic. I mean, I told AJ last night,
- 3:17Speaker 2: I mean he's he gets to the field before anybody.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I mean he's he's basically doing something for about you know,
- 3:23Speaker 2: from time he shows up to time he leaves, he's
- 3:26Speaker 2: either working out, mobility, strength training, stretching, you know, getting prepped,
- 3:30Speaker 2: getting ready to go hitting, cage work, you know, all
- 3:33Speaker 2: that stuff. Like he is very is very rare to
- 3:36Speaker 2: see Moonit sitting at his locker by himself doing nothing.
- 3:40Speaker 2: He's always on the move. He's always trying to get
- 3:42Speaker 2: one step better, and it's kind of like leaked into
- 3:44Speaker 2: everybody else saying like, all right, this is our best guy.
- 3:47Speaker 2: You know, the other day he laid out, you know,
- 3:49Speaker 2: for a ground ball at first base to try to
- 3:51Speaker 2: get on base. And so when your guy that's getting paid,
- 3:54Speaker 2: you know how much he's getting paid right now, is
- 3:56Speaker 2: leading by example like that. It's it's really easy for
- 3:59Speaker 2: everybody to follow Davis.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Let's let's not forget the most important part about Mooney
- 4:04Speaker 3: coming to Chicago, the Japanese.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Toilets he bought.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Not only did they so I found this out last night.
- 4:09Speaker 4: We had this whole conversation.
- 4:11Speaker 3: They didn't just get one Japanese toilet, they got like
- 4:13Speaker 3: five of them. They put them in every single stall
- 4:17Speaker 3: so that not just Mooney could enjoy them, the whole
- 4:20Speaker 3: team got to enjoy them. So that's the most important.
- 4:24Speaker 2: We originally thought we were gonna have like Mooney's toilet
- 4:26Speaker 2: and then like toilet you know, two, three, four, and
- 4:29Speaker 2: everybody's just gonna fight over that one single today. But yeah,
- 4:33Speaker 2: we walked in and we got all four of them,
- 4:34Speaker 2: and yeah, it's pretty sick. You walk in, open the
- 4:37Speaker 2: door toilets he just opens up. He did seep. I mean,
- 4:40Speaker 2: it's the show, bab, this is nice s.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Life changing, slafe changing. Can you get Bob Beckdall off
- 4:45Speaker 4: the toilet?
- 4:46Speaker 2: That is the question. Hey, yeah, Bob was actually chirping
- 4:49Speaker 2: you a little bit. He's like, you got aj here,
- 4:51Speaker 2: and then there's a video picture of you running away
- 4:54Speaker 2: from the Cubs catcher and Scott Segment's doing something. This
- 4:57Speaker 2: is Bob's word. It's not a lot of stuff going
- 5:00Speaker 2: on and a lot of Look for a bobble head
- 5:02Speaker 2: over there. I couldn't find one. But yeah, it's just
- 5:05Speaker 2: a lot of aj going around here.
- 5:07Speaker 3: You know, we some of us used to be something, Davis,
- 5:10Speaker 3: you know, someone was and now some of us are something.
- 5:12Speaker 4: I asked you guys this last night.
- 5:14Speaker 3: It was Sean and you, and Sean pitched unbelievable yesterday,
- 5:17Speaker 3: seven to third, three hits, no runs, pitched amazing, but
- 5:20Speaker 3: he had the opener for him, and then you talked
- 5:22Speaker 3: about how you had an opener last year but you
- 5:25Speaker 3: don't have an opener this year.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Can you explain how that process works?
- 5:28Speaker 3: Obviously a lot of the people watching now weren't on
- 5:31Speaker 3: the cruise last night, but how that process works, and
- 5:33Speaker 3: if it changes your pregame routine or anything that you
- 5:37Speaker 3: change when you go into the game.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean the process in general is just the
- 5:41Speaker 2: idea of that you know, you can face that top
- 5:44Speaker 2: of the order one last time, whether that be you know,
- 5:46Speaker 2: a heavy dominant left handed hitter start where it's lefty, lefty,
- 5:49Speaker 2: lefty and we have bad splits, or let's say it's uh,
- 5:53Speaker 2: you know, to switch hitters, like for example, like the
- 5:56Speaker 2: Perdomo and the you know, tel Marte for example, Like
- 6:00Speaker 2: if they're better right handed than left handed, like we
- 6:02Speaker 2: can kind of pin those guys and have them have
- 6:04Speaker 2: one less ab on their stronger side. And that's kind
- 6:08Speaker 2: of a thought process behind it for me personally, Like
- 6:11Speaker 2: it doesn't bother me too much. I'm like, I think
- 6:14Speaker 2: my average pitches before a game is like thirteen to fifteen.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Like I don't take very long to get ready, so
- 6:21Speaker 2: kind of a bullpen guy at hard I guess you
- 6:23Speaker 2: could say it doesn't. I don't really have this elegant
- 6:25Speaker 2: long routine to get ready to go, but some guys do.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Some guys have to start at four o'clock for a
- 6:30Speaker 2: six forty game, and you know every minute on the
- 6:33Speaker 2: minute is dialed in, so they can kind of throw
- 6:36Speaker 2: some of those guys off. But you just try to
- 6:38Speaker 2: adapt to it a little bit.
- 6:41Speaker 6: We love our Dogabella, who's really just account's cushion.

- 7:42Speaker 6: You got on the cruise with Burke yesterday and he
- 7:44Speaker 6: had just pitched how much do you guys at starting
- 7:47Speaker 6: pitchers need to be together watch each other like, walk
- 7:52Speaker 6: out to the bullpen, then the eyewash, walk back into
- 7:55Speaker 6: the bullpen. Let other teams do like how much do
- 7:58Speaker 6: you guys really need to be to get other to
- 8:01Speaker 6: have a successful rotation together every five days, especially if
- 8:05Speaker 6: you have openers and it's like, well, is that guy
- 8:06Speaker 6: actually in the rotation because he opened for me?
- 8:08Speaker 2: So does he need to walk out here?
- 8:10Speaker 4: Or are we all walking together?
- 8:11Speaker 2: What's happening? Yeah, I mean I think it's just yeah,
- 8:14Speaker 2: being together. I mean, obviously, the when there is the opener,
- 8:17Speaker 2: it kind of puts a little kink in the routine
- 8:19Speaker 2: there because we don't want to so we can't walk
- 8:22Speaker 2: in some get some of the relievers will go straight
- 8:24Speaker 2: from the bullpen to the game and so like we
- 8:27Speaker 2: can't bay go out of the tunnel and we're following
- 8:30Speaker 2: them but kind of running to the side. So it
- 8:31Speaker 2: kind of gets a little weird with that. But you know,
- 8:34Speaker 2: I think just being together is great. I mean, like
- 8:35Speaker 2: we talked about it last night, like everybody can do
- 8:38Speaker 2: something better than you can, and I think you're pretty
- 8:41Speaker 2: ignorant if you don't believe that. So like constantly picking
- 8:43Speaker 2: guy's brains on how how they throw a certain pitch,
- 8:46Speaker 2: what's their thought process, and then you know, taking their
- 8:48Speaker 2: thought process into one of your pitches and see if
- 8:50Speaker 2: it works. And kind of tinkering a little bit, you know,
- 8:53Speaker 2: because I feel like you never really fully you know,
- 8:56Speaker 2: peek at this game. I feel like you can constantly
- 8:58Speaker 2: learn from somebody. And you know, I talked about it
- 9:00Speaker 2: last night, like Sean and Shane were very instrumental in
- 9:02Speaker 2: my in my curveball development, Like I could never throw
- 9:05Speaker 2: a curveball, and I continually talk about this on the bench,
- 9:07Speaker 2: like what are you thinking when do you throw? And
- 9:09Speaker 2: how do you throw it when you think about throwing it,
- 9:11Speaker 2: and like what's the process, and so you kind of
- 9:14Speaker 2: tinker and tinker and tinker, and so I think it's
- 9:18Speaker 2: been great. I think a lot of the pitches that
- 9:19Speaker 2: I've developed and a lot of the thought processes that
- 9:22Speaker 2: I have is from you know, talking to guys all
- 9:25Speaker 2: the way back from twenty twenty two with Ceasi and
- 9:26Speaker 2: Copek and all those guys, and just throughout the years
- 9:29Speaker 2: you kind of pick up things from guys that come
- 9:31Speaker 2: in and out, and so I think it's very important.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I feel its very important to have that kind of
- 9:35Speaker 2: relationship with with your fellow starters, and I think we
- 9:38Speaker 2: have a good purn of each spot.
- 9:41Speaker 6: You just mentioned twenty twenty two when you got called
- 9:43Speaker 6: up for the first time. How much has this organization changed,
- 9:47Speaker 6: because they've changed a lot of people. You talk about Copek,
- 9:50Speaker 6: Gary Crochet wasn't even healthy back then. Now he's cy
- 9:53Speaker 6: young candidate, he's in with another organization.
- 9:56Speaker 2: You've seen the change. How much has it changed?
- 9:59Speaker 6: And pick out one thing that you're like, ah, I
- 10:01Speaker 6: really wish we still had that, and another thing that
- 10:03Speaker 6: you're like, man, I am so glad.
- 10:05Speaker 2: We don't have that anymore. Yeah. I mean, honestly, you
- 10:08Speaker 2: look at once when you start throwing out longest tenored
- 10:11Speaker 2: and I'm the name that shows you kind of where
- 10:14Speaker 2: we're at. But you know, I think from a culture standpoint,
- 10:18Speaker 2: I think we had a very clique culture. You know
- 10:22Speaker 2: a while back. This is Bob No. I mean though,
- 10:26Speaker 2: I think we had a very clique culture at times,
- 10:28Speaker 2: and I think it was kind of like a little
- 10:29Speaker 2: bit of every man for themselves, you know, back in
- 10:32Speaker 2: the day, and then you start kind of getting into
- 10:34Speaker 2: the nitty gritty of the twenty three, twenty four years
- 10:36Speaker 2: and even last year a little bit, and you kind
- 10:38Speaker 2: of have a little bit of a bright spot on
- 10:40Speaker 2: the backside of it. But I think that overall, culture
- 10:43Speaker 2: Hall of you know what we've been and where we're
- 10:46Speaker 2: at now. I think we're kind of trending in that
- 10:48Speaker 2: right direction. And to be honest, there's a lot of
- 10:52Speaker 2: things that I think we've done much better than we
- 10:54Speaker 2: did in twenty twenty two from a development standpoint, from
- 10:56Speaker 2: a facility standpoint, Like, there's really nothing much that I
- 11:00Speaker 2: would say back in twenty two compared to now that
- 11:02Speaker 2: I wish we had, because I think we were trending
- 11:04Speaker 2: in the right direction and in a lot of different areas.
- 11:08Speaker 3: David, let's talk about you a little bit. You're off
- 11:10Speaker 3: to a little bit of a nice start here. I
- 11:12Speaker 3: know you don't want to talk about it.
- 11:13Speaker 4: But what did you change? Did you change anything.
- 11:16Speaker 3: This year from previous years? I mean, I know you're
- 11:19Speaker 3: going to say health, but besides being healthy.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I think it's just the understanding of
- 11:25Speaker 2: your arsenal right. I mean I think younger pitchers you
- 11:28Speaker 2: come up and it's always, hey, you need to add
- 11:29Speaker 2: this pitch. Okay, well we need to try to change
- 11:32Speaker 2: this pitch. You need to change this shape, you need
- 11:33Speaker 2: to try to throw this more. And I think going
- 11:36Speaker 2: into this offseason for the first time, I was just
- 11:38Speaker 2: like I have my arsenal, like this is what I
- 11:40Speaker 2: need to do. And you know, if I have these
- 11:42Speaker 2: six pitches, I feel like I can be successful and
- 11:44Speaker 2: go get guys out. And so just for finding that
- 11:47Speaker 2: all off season and not having to focus on like, Okay,
- 11:49Speaker 2: well I need to find a slider this offseason. And
- 11:52Speaker 2: so just for constantly teekering, and you know, I think
- 11:54Speaker 2: I look back at last year. We looked at after
- 11:56Speaker 2: the first month, they're like, hey, your slider's getting a
- 11:58Speaker 2: ten percent chase ten percent with which has got awful.
- 12:03Speaker 2: So you're doing a complete overhaul and a slider in
- 12:05Speaker 2: the middle of the year, which is a nightmare for anybody.
- 12:07Speaker 2: And so just going into the year knowing what my
- 12:09Speaker 2: stuff is, how I want to throw it, how I
- 12:10Speaker 2: want to set it up, kind of gets a little
- 12:13Speaker 2: bit more comfortable and you know your understanding of your stuff.
- 12:18Speaker 2: All right.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Well, then tomorrow we talked about this last night. You
- 12:20Speaker 3: guys played the Angels tonight and tomorrow you know who
- 12:23Speaker 3: you're pitching against tomorrow night.
- 12:25Speaker 2: So I don't know, baby, let's go.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Does that mean you go into the game thinking like, man,
- 12:29Speaker 3: he gives up, he's giving up, Like one run or
- 12:31Speaker 3: something the whole year.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Do you go in tomorrow and say boys.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Do you go into the offense you want to say, boys,
- 12:35Speaker 3: come on, I just need to give me two boys
- 12:38Speaker 3: and will win this game?
- 12:39Speaker 4: Or do you try not to think about it and
- 12:41Speaker 4: just have to pitch your game.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's pitching your game, But I think
- 12:44Speaker 2: it's also understanding like this is what you play in
- 12:47Speaker 2: the big leagues for, right, Like you don't want to
- 12:48Speaker 2: go play, you know, some for a starter, Like you
- 12:50Speaker 2: want to play the best and you want to beat
- 12:52Speaker 2: the best, and you know, I always remember, I think
- 12:55Speaker 2: it was you Darbush was the first really big name
- 12:58Speaker 2: that I got to win against. And just the feeling
- 13:00Speaker 2: of something like that in twenty two, I was like,
- 13:02Speaker 2: oh my gosh, Like I remember watching this guy. This
- 13:04Speaker 2: guy is incredible, and like now you're competing against him
- 13:06Speaker 2: and you can you can try to beat him, and
- 13:07Speaker 2: so I think just getting lost in the competition, right, like,
- 13:11Speaker 2: this is an incredible opportunity and it's going to be
- 13:13Speaker 2: a lot of fun and you just go out there,
- 13:15Speaker 2: you pitch your game and see where it owens up.
- 13:18Speaker 2: What are your rotation mates? Had a pretty decent year
- 13:20Speaker 2: last year. It was an All star Shane Smith, and
- 13:22Speaker 2: now he's in the bushes. How does that motivate you
- 13:27Speaker 2: or how does that conversation you have with him or
- 13:30Speaker 2: do you just let him be who he is because
- 13:33Speaker 2: you look at a guy like that who's an all
- 13:34Speaker 2: star and then the reality of the major leagues is
- 13:38Speaker 2: you can get sent down at any time. Yeah, I mean,
- 13:41Speaker 2: you know, I talked to him. I was like, I
- 13:43Speaker 2: got option eight times or nine times in twenty twenty two,
- 13:46Speaker 2: and I was just like, the reality is, it's like
- 13:48Speaker 2: that's that's this game. I mean, you're never guaranteed a
- 13:51Speaker 2: spot and I know that, you know, being a fourteenth
- 13:53Speaker 2: round pick, like nothing ever is going to come easy
- 13:56Speaker 2: and nothing's ever going to be handed to you. So
- 13:58Speaker 2: you know, I just I don't think I've ever lost
- 14:00Speaker 2: that ship. And I talked to him about that. I'm like, really, dude,
- 14:03Speaker 2: you're not trying to find something different. You're just trying
- 14:05Speaker 2: to find who you are, right Like, you've already been there,
- 14:08Speaker 2: You already know what you need to do to be successful.
- 14:09Speaker 2: And I was just finding that again, you don't have
- 14:11Speaker 2: to reinvent the wheel and be someone or not. And
- 14:13Speaker 2: so you know, we've we've had conversations back and forth,
- 14:16Speaker 2: you know, over the past few weeks, and we check
- 14:18Speaker 2: in with each other and make sure, you know, see

- 15:42Speaker 6: All right, I have a super random question for you,
- 15:44Speaker 6: Mike Trouts. Mike Trout's coming in, Okay, I'm not I
- 15:47Speaker 6: don't know if you're a Nike guy or not. AJ's
- 15:50Speaker 6: a Nike was a Nike guy. But if there is
- 15:53Speaker 6: a picture if yeah, he lets us all know he
- 15:56Speaker 6: was the Nike guy, first one to ever wear the
- 15:59Speaker 6: catching equipment. But the random question is, if there is
- 16:02Speaker 6: a picture on your team that wears Nike, will you
- 16:06Speaker 6: let them wear the Trouts to face Mike Trout, because
- 16:10Speaker 6: it feels like we talked about this this weekend with
- 16:12Speaker 6: my buddy. It feels like Trout's already beaten you. If
- 16:15Speaker 6: he looks out at the mount and goes that dude's
- 16:18Speaker 6: wearing my cleats, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna hit a
- 16:20Speaker 6: dinger off them.
- 16:22Speaker 2: You know, it's hilarious. I actually wear Mike Trouts and
- 16:24Speaker 2: I faced him last year with Mike Trouts and I
- 16:29Speaker 2: even did good. Even one for three.
- 16:32Speaker 6: That's good. That's good for Mike. One for three is
- 16:34Speaker 6: great for a hitter. So maybe maybe maybe some Mike,
- 16:37Speaker 6: maybe some coops. I don't even know if they make
- 16:38Speaker 6: coops anymore.
- 16:39Speaker 2: But yeah, I'll try to go. I'll talk to I'll
- 16:42Speaker 2: talk to Rob and see if I can go find
- 16:44Speaker 2: some some O G's or something like that. You know,
- 16:46Speaker 2: maybe you've got some leftover Persinski cleats or something like
- 16:48Speaker 2: that I can throw on.
- 16:49Speaker 4: No, trust me, they shift those things out as soon
- 16:51Speaker 4: as humanly. As soon as I left.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Next spring, they sent a pod of shoes. I have
- 16:56Speaker 3: a picture. I've shown it before. They send you know,
- 16:58Speaker 3: those pods they have. They sent that over to the
- 17:01Speaker 3: surprise and we had a whole pod. They don't, and
- 17:05Speaker 3: we're like, no, bo, whole pod.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so it sounds like you got plenty. You can
- 17:09Speaker 2: send me something.
- 17:11Speaker 3: I gave them all away. I'd send you somebody to
- 17:15Speaker 3: high school kids. We've had Foster Griffin who pitching at
- 17:18Speaker 3: you guys used to wear.
- 17:19Speaker 2: In high school.
- 17:20Speaker 4: We've had like four or five guys come on the
- 17:22Speaker 4: show and we're like, hey, I wore your catcher's gear.
- 17:24Speaker 4: I wore your shoes.
- 17:26Speaker 3: There's been like four guys that have come on here
- 17:29Speaker 3: just give away. I wore like four pairs of shoes
- 17:32Speaker 3: a year, and I would give They'd send me like
- 17:35Speaker 3: fifty pairs of shoes, and I would just be like,
- 17:39Speaker 3: take them.
- 17:39Speaker 4: I don't care. I don't care. Like, but by the way,
- 17:42Speaker 4: I only wear plastic.
- 17:44Speaker 3: I only wear plastically too, so it wouldn't it wouldn't
- 17:46Speaker 3: really work. No, I just I just like plastically. They're
- 17:49Speaker 3: more comfortable.
- 17:51Speaker 6: What you don't What you don't know, Davis, is all
- 17:53Speaker 6: those pictures in Bob's office that you see of him
- 17:57Speaker 6: AJ hung them up, So any thing that he was
- 18:01Speaker 6: the one that hung them. I made sure there was
- 18:03Speaker 6: all pictures of a J.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm trying to see. Yeah, there's molds, all right.
- 18:08Speaker 2: He's not lying though, because I do see the molds
- 18:10Speaker 2: on the bottle there, so that's good.
- 18:12Speaker 3: I did break I did. I did watch Bob break
- 18:15Speaker 3: the chair across from his desk you're sitting on. You
- 18:17Speaker 3: see the chair that's across from him. I did see
- 18:19Speaker 3: Bob sitting it and break that chair though.
- 18:21Speaker 2: I was there.
- 18:21Speaker 4: I witnessed that.
- 18:24Speaker 2: There's a lot of stuff going on in this office. Man,
- 18:26Speaker 2: got just watched there's a lot of stuff going on here.
- 18:30Speaker 3: As by the way, I know where we off topic.
- 18:32Speaker 3: But asked Bob why he's a Wisconsin fan when he
- 18:34Speaker 3: went to Iowa. Just that's he's never answered that for me.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I mean too bad football programs right now, so I
- 18:41Speaker 2: can't really Oh oh okay, hold on, we're not allowed
- 18:44Speaker 2: to talk football because Scott doesn't get it.
- 18:46Speaker 3: But just because Texas Tech paid like seventeen million dollars
- 18:50Speaker 3: for their football team this.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Year, it's legal. Man man front door, Patrick saying, like
- 18:57Speaker 2: the only thing stop in Indiana for me to go
- 18:59Speaker 2: to football was it was illegal.
- 19:02Speaker 5: True money money bag era is over now you just
- 19:06Speaker 5: you drop.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Cho aired that out. Remember he was just like you
- 19:11Speaker 2: used to go in the back door and I's coming
- 19:12Speaker 2: to the front door.
- 19:13Speaker 5: So it's so true.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Yeah, drop off cash now you direct deposits.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Last one for you, Davis, just like a general question
- 19:25Speaker 1: for you. In first month of this season, anything stand
- 19:27Speaker 1: out either from a team or a player perspective, an
- 19:30Speaker 1: opponent you've taken on where you're like, oh, damn this
- 19:33Speaker 1: this team's really good or better than I thought they
- 19:35Speaker 1: were going to be. Just like to get the perspective
- 19:37Speaker 1: of what you're seeing on the field in the first
- 19:39Speaker 1: month of the season that stood out, you know, when
- 19:41Speaker 1: you're sitting with someone like, hey, what it was something
- 19:43Speaker 1: that really impressed you in terms of what you saw.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think two things. I think one,
- 19:49Speaker 2: we went down to Miami. Sandy al Contra looks the
- 19:53Speaker 2: part again. You know we talked about how where he
- 19:56Speaker 2: was last year. But you know we have a trainer,
- 20:00Speaker 2: a physical therapist that was with Miami back when Sandy
- 20:03Speaker 2: was you know, so young, and he looked at us,
- 20:05Speaker 2: he's like he's back, and you know you could just
- 20:08Speaker 2: tell me, and he's just he's dominat he's attacking the zone.
- 20:10Speaker 2: He's doing everything that you know Sandy can do, and
- 20:13Speaker 2: it was really it was really fun to watch from
- 20:15Speaker 2: a picture's perspective. So yeah, i'd have to say that nice.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I like it all right, Well you're off the hot seat.
- 20:21Speaker 1: You did great without Ozzie. We liked hearing from you.
- 20:25Speaker 3: And by the way, if if you haven't seen it,
- 20:27Speaker 3: look at the White Sox starter as well. Besides, Sean
- 20:30Speaker 3: Burke has to have the opener. Look at their numbers.
- 20:33Speaker 3: They're they're doing all right. They are, they're doing all right,
- 20:36Speaker 3: so keep it up.
- 20:37Speaker 5: Here comes the offense, I think. Yep.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Well, Davis, there was a pleasure man. Great to catch
- 20:43Speaker 1: up with you. Appreciate the time and we'll talk to
- 20:45Speaker 1: you soon.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Awesome, thanks guys, appreciate it.
