Latest / Earn Your Leisure / The Story Behind the Memory Stock Boom! (It's Not Over)
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: So let's talk about memory stocks. But before we talk
- 0:03Speaker 1: about memory, I want to show this video from Apple.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Can we show this video from Apple Wall Street Journal?
- 0:14Speaker 1: Sound please?
- 0:21Speaker 2: No sound?
- 0:21Speaker 3: No sound, no sound on the video. This is live.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, well I'll give I'll get contexts. Well that's
- 0:32Speaker 4: trying to be loaded. So it's interesting because Apple was
- 0:35Speaker 4: in the news last week.
- 0:37Speaker 2: What was in the news in the past couple of weeks.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Right like, they had their conference and people were kind
- 0:42Speaker 4: of underwhelmed by it, which is rightfully. So right when
- 0:46Speaker 4: we talking about innovation and we were added, we still
- 0:48Speaker 4: don't know to have the path for artificial intelligence laid
- 0:51Speaker 4: out for us. And then last week what we saw
- 0:54Speaker 4: was they made a partnership with Intel. Why is that important? Well,
- 0:58Speaker 4: we know that the government obviously has made it a
- 1:01Speaker 4: priority for Intel to be in the business of manufacturing GPUs,
- 1:06Speaker 4: CPUs and TPUs and so the Apple proposition, when I
- 1:10Speaker 4: saw this is crazy. So the video we're trying to
- 1:14Speaker 4: get work. I sent to Shaddy on on Thursday.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Yeah, and he.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Said it to me today. So I'm like that sometimes
- 1:24Speaker 4: that tells you Number one. I appreciate it because that
- 1:28Speaker 4: tells me that he's looking at the memory space the
- 1:31Speaker 4: way I'm seeing it, but also says like we're on
- 1:34Speaker 4: the right path because not only we seen are we
- 1:36Speaker 4: seeing it? But CEOs like Tim Cook, CEOs like Jensen.
- 1:41Speaker 4: I know soign Jovat at Micron is seeing it the
- 1:44Speaker 4: same way, and so I sent him a picture of
- 1:48Speaker 4: Neo and the matrix. I like to use Neo and
- 1:50Speaker 4: the matrix when everything starts to become true, because you're
- 1:54Speaker 4: seeing life differently, and we're starting to see AI differently.
- 1:57Speaker 2: We're starting to see the layers.
- 1:58Speaker 4: It's not just hey, it's in Nvidia and good luck
- 2:01Speaker 4: with everything else. It's no, just needs to work in
- 2:04Speaker 4: order for that to work, in order for this to work.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And so the.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Pictures becoming very clear, and that's kind of of what
- 2:12Speaker 4: the video is. Hopefully we can get to domine.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Apple has a problem. It's so bad that Tim Cook
- 2:17Speaker 5: is calling it a one hundred year flood. The price
- 2:20Speaker 5: for tiny but critical components buried inside our electronics is skyrocketing,
- 2:24Speaker 5: specifically memory and storage chips, and Tim Cook told me
- 2:28Speaker 5: it's going to force Apple to raise prices. I spoke
- 2:31Speaker 5: with the outgoing Apple CEO in an exclusive interview about
- 2:34Speaker 5: the company's plan to adjust to this new reality. Cook
- 2:37Speaker 5: told me that the company's planned price increases are unavoidable,
- 2:40Speaker 5: and while Apple has tried to mitigate increased costs, the situation,
- 2:44Speaker 5: he said, has become unsustainable. So why is this happening now?
- 2:48Speaker 5: Chips have gotten faster and cheaper every couple of years,
- 2:50Speaker 5: powering a new technology revolution every decade or so. But
- 2:53Speaker 5: in the last few months, that magic formula has reversed.
- 2:57Speaker 5: That's because the prices for memory and storage, which are
- 3:00Speaker 5: inside virtually every computing device, have suddenly skyrocketed. Apple's latest
- 3:05Speaker 5: warning is remarkable because it's been the biggest buyer of
- 3:08Speaker 5: storage since the days of the iPod, and also a
- 3:11Speaker 5: giant buyer of memory. But now there's a new competitor
- 3:14Speaker 5: in town. Artificial intelligence AI companies are flooding the memory
- 3:18Speaker 5: and storage market with money and securing much of the supply. Suddenly,
- 3:22Speaker 5: Apple no longer has the leverage to push the storage
- 3:24Speaker 5: in memory makers for the lowest prices. It has to
- 3:26Speaker 5: wait in line. What Cook told me on our call
- 3:28Speaker 5: is that Apple has already been absorbing higher costs, but
- 3:31Speaker 5: now it is swinging over to option two price increases.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Cook didn't say how much prices will increase, or when,
- 3:37Speaker 5: or on what products. But to give you an idea
- 3:39Speaker 5: of the scale, research firm tech Insights says the cost
- 3:43Speaker 5: of memory and storage inside last year's iPhone seventeen Pro
- 3:46Speaker 5: was fifty dollars. The cost for the same components in
- 3:49Speaker 5: the upcoming iPhone eighteen Pro around two hundred dollars. Now,
- 3:53Speaker 5: the good news for Apple is that it's in a
- 3:54Speaker 5: better position than less profitable companies who have little cushion
- 3:58Speaker 5: to absorb the higher costs. Companies are saying this is
- 4:01Speaker 5: worse than tariffs, worse than the chip shortage during the pandemic.
- 4:04Speaker 5: So this isn't just an Apple story. It's attacks on
- 4:07Speaker 5: basically everything with memory and storage chips, and few consumers
- 4:10Speaker 5: realize this wave is coming.
- 4:15Speaker 3: So all right, let's put that in perspective.
- 4:17Speaker 1: If you watch that video and that your key takeaway
- 4:23Speaker 1: was that Apple is in trouble, or it's not even
- 4:28Speaker 1: about Apple. No, the video illustrates the need for memory,
- 4:35Speaker 1: the supply demand crisis that has happened, and the price
- 4:41Speaker 1: increase for the memory chips specifically, which is why Apple
- 4:46Speaker 1: is raising their price. Apple, It's not really the most
- 4:49Speaker 1: important part of that story, it's the memory. So that's
- 4:52Speaker 1: why these memory stocks have skyrocketing, right, just kind of
- 4:56Speaker 1: illustrates that puts it in perspective. So when we talk
- 5:00Speaker 1: about the memory stocks, and we'll talk about the memory
- 5:03Speaker 1: stocks now because that's the title that we're on right now.
- 5:05Speaker 1: But we talk about the memory stocks, we talk about
- 5:07Speaker 1: memory ETF. We've been talking about dram so vitally important
- 5:14Speaker 1: for you guys to understand that it's not over yet.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So like when the guy like so when I brought
- 5:22Speaker 1: the Micron, uh, and then you know, got ridiculed for that.
- 5:29Speaker 1: He didn't he didn't understand that it wasn't like Micron
- 5:34Speaker 1: was just like some meme stock that just shot up
- 5:36Speaker 1: for no reason. Yeah, there is a real demand for
- 5:41Speaker 1: these memory chips. There's a shortage of them. The price
- 5:45Speaker 1: has increased higher. So when you see a company like
- 5:48Speaker 1: Apple pretty much saying like we gotta we gotta raise
- 5:52Speaker 1: our iPhone because there's no all the there's no other option,
- 5:55Speaker 1: well that should tell you the future of the memory sector.
- 6:00Speaker 3: It's not. It's not over yet, right, So.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Let's talk about the individual because I know you was
- 6:05Speaker 1: early on talking about these stocks, So explain the memory sector.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Talk about the individual stocks, because we talk about these
- 6:12Speaker 1: stocks and a lot of them have went up over
- 6:14Speaker 1: one thousand percent this year and the last twelve months,
- 6:18Speaker 1: Like even Microns up eight hundred and eighty eight percent
- 6:20Speaker 1: in the last twelve months just to stock, not the option,
- 6:23Speaker 1: just to stock. So and then there's a bunch of
- 6:26Speaker 1: other memories that's not directly memory related, but kind of
- 6:30Speaker 1: spin off memories.
- 6:31Speaker 3: There's like subsector memory adjacent.
- 6:35Speaker 4: So yeah, we are I'm ian. Can I have a moment.
- 6:38Speaker 4: I'm gonna have like an in moment real quick right now.
- 6:43Speaker 4: September of twenty twenty four, inside of Eylu, this is
- 6:47Speaker 4: the first time, probably the second time I break down
- 6:51Speaker 4: this company called Micron. Why do I break it down
- 6:53Speaker 4: because I'm understanding this AI data centers specifically and the
- 6:57Speaker 4: components that are going to be needed inside of it
- 6:59Speaker 4: in order for it to function. In June of twenty
- 7:02Speaker 4: twenty four, this is the first time I actually invest
- 7:04Speaker 4: in a company. By December of twenty four, I'm saying
- 7:07Speaker 4: the business model for Micron. Well, why am I saying
- 7:10Speaker 4: the business model? Because it changed? And I told you
- 7:12Speaker 4: anytime you look at companies that start changing their business model,
- 7:15Speaker 4: to gain profit.
- 7:16Speaker 2: That's an interesting proposition.
- 7:17Speaker 4: What was the business model prior they were making memory
- 7:20Speaker 4: for CPUs, Well, that had been something that was done
- 7:22Speaker 4: for a generation pass which is why a company like
- 7:25Speaker 4: Apple can dictate, hey, we're not paying that price, because
- 7:28Speaker 4: when you're making it for the CPU and there's no
- 7:31Speaker 4: other component that's needed, then that becomes cyclical. And we've
- 7:34Speaker 4: been saying all along, this is not a cyclical situation, right,
- 7:38Speaker 4: this is something that's going to be here for a while.
- 7:41Speaker 4: And so part of that thesis was, Okay, well, Micron
- 7:44Speaker 4: isn't the only one Western Digital at the time. This
- 7:48Speaker 4: is again September twenty twenty four, Western Digital is prominent,
- 7:51Speaker 4: Seagate ticker STX prominent.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Sand Dis is not even a company yet.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Think about that, right September twenty twenty Sands is not
- 7:59Speaker 4: even a company. Is still a part of the Western
- 8:03Speaker 4: Digital conglomerate. It breaks off in February of twenty twenty five.
- 8:08Speaker 4: What are we seeing. We're seeing the demand for AI increase,
- 8:12Speaker 4: the memory demand. Why because in order for the heart, right,
- 8:15Speaker 4: we did this diagram. The heart of this AI revolution,
- 8:18Speaker 4: we can say, is the GPU, and the leader of
- 8:20Speaker 4: the GPU is in video now TPUs have been created.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Of course we've seen Google do that xpus with Burcom,
- 8:28Speaker 4: we've seen that. But at the heart those processing units
- 8:31Speaker 4: are there. In order for them to function at the
- 8:33Speaker 4: highest capability, they need a brain. The brain of the
- 8:36Speaker 4: operation is its memory. Now, all memories are not created equal, right,
- 8:40Speaker 4: which is kind of what you were just alluding to, Shatty.
- 8:43Speaker 4: We're talking about d RAM, which is the ETF name, right,
- 8:46Speaker 4: And we'll get into s K Heinex and Samsung in
- 8:49Speaker 4: a bit, But that is what is unit for use
- 8:52Speaker 4: for large language models, right, that is what's used for inference,
- 8:55Speaker 4: which is in the highest demand, and so we're starting
- 8:58Speaker 4: to see those numbers go up. Now, what has happened
- 9:02Speaker 4: is that they control the supply demand equation.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Right.
- 9:07Speaker 4: The supply is increeds, right, the supplies increased, the demand
- 9:11Speaker 4: has increased. Well, that has switched over the past eight months.
- 9:15Speaker 4: The demand is so high that they are not meaning
- 9:17Speaker 4: supply because they've sold out for twenty twenty six.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Who has sold out a s K hines.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Which as the world leader and just became the largest
- 9:24Speaker 4: company in South Korea's history, Samsung, which is number two.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Micron When we talked about American companies that are going
- 9:31Speaker 4: to dominate. Why do we say Micron because it's the
- 9:33Speaker 4: leader of American memory.
- 9:36Speaker 2: DRAM, plain and simple.
- 9:38Speaker 4: In that time, that sells out, so we have to
- 9:40Speaker 4: go to the next venture. Well, if we have DRAM
- 9:44Speaker 4: taken care of, look, can we get solid state memory?
- 9:47Speaker 2: Right?
- 9:47Speaker 4: So solid state disc that's the USB that you used
- 9:50Speaker 4: to use. That's the cars that go inside of a
- 9:52Speaker 4: lot of your devices. A company like sand is spun
- 9:55Speaker 4: off from Western Digital. That company has going up by
- 9:58Speaker 4: four thousand percent, not an option. The company has gone
- 10:02Speaker 4: up four thousand percent since February of twenty twenty five.
- 10:08Speaker 4: These companies are not going anywhere because the demand for
- 10:12Speaker 4: memory will not go anywhere. In fact, when you use
- 10:15Speaker 4: your chat GBT, I said this the other day to
- 10:17Speaker 4: one of the players. I've said, do you use chat GBT?
- 10:19Speaker 4: He said yeah? I said how often? He said all day?
- 10:22Speaker 4: I said, perfect, you're one person. Think about how many
- 10:24Speaker 4: times you prompt and how much memory is needed to
- 10:26Speaker 4: keep that prompt in conjunction with what.
- 10:29Speaker 2: You're trying to ask it. I said, Now you're one person.
- 10:31Speaker 4: You know how many people Open Ai has on a
- 10:34Speaker 4: monthly user base one billion? Yeah, they have one billion users,
- 10:40Speaker 4: and that's just open AI. How many does Anthropic have?
- 10:43Speaker 4: How does many does Gemini have? How many does XAI have?
- 10:46Speaker 4: Think about all those people that are prompting at the
- 10:49Speaker 4: same time and how much memory is needed.
- 10:51Speaker 2: That's just on the large language models.
- 10:53Speaker 4: That's not even including the type of money that's going
- 10:56Speaker 4: to be spent inside of these data centers. And so
- 10:59Speaker 4: when you look at that, I always say the same
- 11:01Speaker 4: quote I text him all the time, We're not done.
- 11:04Speaker 2: What does that mean? We're not done? Right?
- 11:06Speaker 4: Stay loner behind means look, we're gonna be in here.
- 11:09Speaker 4: We're going to be precise with when we execute. But
- 11:12Speaker 4: this story is far from finished. Why is this story
- 11:15Speaker 4: so interesting? Because when I see Intel saying that they're
- 11:18Speaker 4: going to make more manufacturing.
- 11:21Speaker 2: GPUs and TPUs for.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Apple, I say, more chips, more memory. Right, So it's
- 11:27Speaker 4: no coincidence that when we watch Microme run up today
- 11:30Speaker 4: towards all the time high, we watch this run up
- 11:32Speaker 4: to us all time high. These things are happening because
- 11:36Speaker 4: the demand for the key component inside the story is
- 11:39Speaker 4: still going to be here. The more AI we have,
- 11:42Speaker 4: the more large language models we have, the more Augentic,
- 11:44Speaker 4: the more robotics we have, they're going to need that
- 11:47Speaker 4: brain component, and that's why you're going to continue to
- 11:49Speaker 4: see these things run.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Now.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Drama is important because it has an ETF, but we
- 11:53Speaker 4: get access to it, so I know some of these
- 11:55Speaker 4: companies are run high. In fact, they might be a
- 11:57Speaker 4: split at some point in their future. So DROM gives
- 11:59Speaker 4: us access to it. Twenty seven percent of the allocation
- 12:02Speaker 4: is Micron. I love that. Twenty six percent of it
- 12:06Speaker 4: is s k Henex a company that we can trade
- 12:07Speaker 4: it because it's in South Korea, but it will IPO
- 12:10Speaker 4: in America sometime in the fall.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Perfect Samsung is number three.
- 12:14Speaker 4: And if you look at the allocations, there goes Western Digital,
- 12:16Speaker 4: they go Cgate, they go Sanders. These are all prominent
- 12:20Speaker 4: stories that I wouldn't say we're in the first inning,
- 12:24Speaker 4: but we're definitely not in the ninth. There's so much
- 12:26Speaker 4: room to go. And so this is why when you
- 12:28Speaker 4: see memory and you keep hair and memory and you
- 12:30Speaker 4: don't know why it's moving, this is why it's moving.
- 12:33Speaker 6: And if Shota Edwin, who sent me this, he's remember
- 12:38Speaker 6: when it was a memory shortage than twenty twenty, like
- 12:40Speaker 6: this is going to be a multi deck a story
- 12:44Speaker 6: like it went from Nvidio AMD and now it's the
- 12:48Speaker 6: trade and investment has kind of evolved. And the great
- 12:52Speaker 6: part is when there was a bunch of SPACs and
- 12:54Speaker 6: memes floating around, I've always said the great enterprise companies
- 12:57Speaker 6: are going to push back to take the reins, and
- 13:00Speaker 6: they actually have done that a ton, and so much
- 13:04Speaker 6: so that they've moved Mata out of the top ten
- 13:06Speaker 6: in terms of market cap. So for anyone who thinks
- 13:09Speaker 6: that this trade is going to be short lived or
- 13:13Speaker 6: this investment cycle is going to be short lived, because
- 13:15Speaker 6: I know there's a lot of people putting that so
- 13:17Speaker 6: XL chart versus the nineteen ninety chart, ninety nine chart
- 13:20Speaker 6: versus now. I keep saying the difference between the companies
- 13:24Speaker 6: then and now is that these companies alone print the
- 13:28Speaker 6: GDP of nations in nineteen ninety nine and two thousand,
- 13:31Speaker 6: they did not.
- 13:32Speaker 2: They're needed. Has Apple under delivered on the serie AI?
- 13:37Speaker 6: And yes, But I think the partnership, even though it's
- 13:40Speaker 6: a force and arranged marriage from Trump, I think that's
- 13:44Speaker 6: going to give them a little bit of a chance
- 13:48Speaker 6: in to finally build some AI infrastructure that they need.
- 13:51Speaker 6: If anyone will keep asking is it's going to go away?
- 13:54Speaker 6: It's not going away anytime, So it's not going to
- 13:57Speaker 6: you know.
- 13:58Speaker 4: You know what was when we talk about relationships, think
- 14:01Speaker 4: about where Apple was in terms of relationships when it
- 14:04Speaker 4: came to memory, I mean dominant, the number one compliment.
- 14:07Speaker 4: They were at the most legge. Yes, they were tsm's
- 14:11Speaker 4: number one customer. They are no longer TAM's number one customer.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Video is now past them. When you talk about the
- 14:17Speaker 4: idea of being the first in line and saying we're
- 14:20Speaker 4: not paying to now being maybe fifth in line and
- 14:23Speaker 4: saying you're going to pay the price or you won't
- 14:25Speaker 4: have it, or.
- 14:25Speaker 6: You won't have access to your leverage is going and
- 14:28Speaker 6: that's a great lesson. You have to make sure you
- 14:31Speaker 6: keep pole position when you have the leverage. Apple got
- 14:34Speaker 6: so comfortable, and that's why I kept pushing ten minutes
- 14:37Speaker 6: to leave. You have a small and fight nite window
- 14:41Speaker 6: to be the king of that market cap, and you
- 14:43Speaker 6: missed it, and not Meta slowly and at least the
- 14:47Speaker 6: matter has tried to build out an accurate AI infrastructure
- 14:51Speaker 6: and spend for what they need. But even and so
- 14:54Speaker 6: they went down to tenth. Thank god byd is not
- 14:57Speaker 6: available any United States. We will be having a different
- 15:01Speaker 6: conversation about the top ten market cap there as well.
- 15:05Speaker 6: But it's memory trade that's not going anywhere anytime soon.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Well, let's talk about okay, staying on a memory. Wednesday
- 15:15Speaker 1: is Micron reports. So what's been happening? And that's why
- 15:21Speaker 1: actually I bought that Micron call last time because it
- 15:24Speaker 1: dropped pretty sharply. So it's been a common theme with
- 15:28Speaker 1: a lot of tech stocks lately is that regardless of
- 15:31Speaker 1: what they report they be earning, they don't be earning
- 15:34Speaker 1: stock drops. So Micron being one of the leaders when
- 15:39Speaker 1: it comes to probably the leader trillion dollar company when
- 15:42Speaker 1: it comes to memory, they report on Wednesday.
- 15:47Speaker 3: So what we're looking forward to when Micron reports on Wednesday?
- 15:54Speaker 4: I think people need to anticipate something stupendous. It's going
- 16:00Speaker 4: to be monumentous in the words in my boy Carlos Miller,
- 16:04Speaker 4: It's going to be monumentous. Now it's great, great enough.
- 16:07Speaker 4: I mean, I don't move here. Think about this right
- 16:11Speaker 4: when we talk about EPs, earnings pressure, the expectation and
- 16:15Speaker 4: if I asked you, hey, if a company says they're
- 16:18Speaker 4: going to grow, buy a dollar twenty five in a quarter.
- 16:21Speaker 2: You say, what I am related? You're related, job well,
- 16:26Speaker 2: doing the job well.
- 16:27Speaker 6: Spectacular performance like this is MVP Brunze and esque.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, the EPs for Micron when they report on
- 16:38Speaker 4: Wednesday is twenty one dollars.
- 16:41Speaker 6: They quick, okay, basketball terms, that's like expecting someone to
- 16:45Speaker 6: score like ninety two points in the game.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I think the expectation is so like, bro, what are
- 16:53Speaker 2: we doing?
- 16:55Speaker 4: So let's say let's say that they they maybe they
- 16:59Speaker 4: missed by and it's twenty dollars.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Appreciate it. Yep.
- 17:04Speaker 4: You're talking about a company that a year ago was
- 17:07Speaker 4: moving at that pace of a dollar forty seven EPs,
- 17:11Speaker 4: dollars seventy EPs last quarter. It went up to eight
- 17:14Speaker 4: dollars EPs this quarter, expected in twenty one. And if
- 17:17Speaker 4: you look at future guidance for the next three quarters,
- 17:20Speaker 4: we're at thirty.
- 17:21Speaker 6: Yeah, and at thirty they're in projecting to get to
- 17:23Speaker 6: the forties. But you let SpaceX had it f valuation
- 17:28Speaker 6: with that price of sales ratio.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Off the rim, that's a whole nother, that's a whole another.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Oh my god, the idea and there is some truth
- 17:40Speaker 4: to that, right, we watched it have a Monumentus quarter,
- 17:43Speaker 4: something that we had never seen. We came on here
- 17:45Speaker 4: and talked about it, and we watched Micron go from
- 17:48Speaker 4: like four thirty down to like three sixty, which was
- 17:51Speaker 4: an opportunity to say, we're gonna buy. The story's not over.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Like that's been a common theme. The story remains. The
- 17:57Speaker 4: story's not over. We're not going anywhere. We're not done.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Why because we understand the long term vision of it.
- 18:02Speaker 4: So if it pulls back on Wednesday, because it has
- 18:05Speaker 4: run up, right, think about that. That last time it reported,
- 18:08Speaker 4: we were talking about a four hundred dollars stock and
- 18:10Speaker 4: we were like, we said it on the show. Hey,
- 18:12Speaker 4: this is a four hundred dollars stock. It will be
- 18:14Speaker 4: five hundred by the end of the year. It will
- 18:16Speaker 4: be six hundred by the end of the year.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Here we are at twelve hundred three months later.
- 18:20Speaker 6: If it drops anywhere, they're nine thirty eight to nine
- 18:24Speaker 6: to twenty, I'm looking to buy.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I'll say that.
- 18:30Speaker 4: And now you take the information that we just had right,
- 18:33Speaker 4: like new contracts that might be going out to twenty nine.
- 18:36Speaker 4: You see a pullback like that, and these are going
- 18:37Speaker 4: to be expensive contracts. They're really expensive obviously because of
- 18:41Speaker 4: how the type of growth of Mike Ground has shown
- 18:44Speaker 4: over the past twelve months. So maybe that's when you
- 18:47Speaker 4: look at the ETF here and say, Okay, I still
- 18:50Speaker 4: believe in this story is not going anywhere.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Here's where I may grab drama.
- 18:55Speaker 1: And from a long term whole perspective, drama, I think
- 18:58Speaker 1: you definitely you might have to start looking at it
- 18:59Speaker 1: like smh. Like smhm from a long term hole perspective,
- 19:04Speaker 1: is done very very well. And you know it's because
- 19:07Speaker 1: it has those chip companies in it. So these memory
- 19:11Speaker 1: companies that make up drawn even from an option standpoint,
- 19:16Speaker 1: but just from an investment long term. If you really
- 19:18Speaker 1: think that this is going to be a long term
- 19:20Speaker 1: thing as far as memory, we're still at the beginning stages.
- 19:24Speaker 1: If all else, if all factors come into play, we're
- 19:29Speaker 1: still at the beginning stages. So and companies can change
- 19:32Speaker 1: over the course of time, just like any other things.
- 19:34Speaker 1: So the ETF gives you great exposure because it doesn't
- 19:36Speaker 1: just put all your bets in one you know stock,
- 19:40Speaker 1: So now you have the versification. So that's something to
- 19:43Speaker 1: look at from a long term whole perspective. Is like
- 19:45Speaker 1: if you really really really believe in the space then
- 19:48Speaker 1: that that ETF is going to be you know, valuable
- 19:51Speaker 1: in the future.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Yeah, we talked about the ETF when it debuted April second.
- 19:54Speaker 4: I think we were on here probably two weeks after
- 19:57Speaker 4: in a class and that we're in this call.
- 20:00Speaker 2: It was thirty dollars.
- 20:01Speaker 4: Some people got it at twenty seven, some people got
- 20:03Speaker 4: a little thirty five.
- 20:04Speaker 2: We're sitting at eighty dollars here. Now. The story's not
- 20:07Speaker 2: going anywhere.
- 20:08Speaker 4: The company that is leading it is not going anywhere.
- 20:11Speaker 2: It's only going to continue to grow.
- 20:13Speaker 4: I think I think both of it makes sense, right, Like,
- 20:16Speaker 4: if you're talking about semiconductors specifically, if you look what's
- 20:20Speaker 4: inside of SMA in videos, it's leader at TSM is
- 20:23Speaker 4: probably number two. I think Intel, which is crazy as
- 20:26Speaker 4: number three, and Micron is four. Right, But the exposure
- 20:30Speaker 4: level is at like seven percent for Micron, And so
- 20:32Speaker 4: if you really love Micron and you're saying seven percent
- 20:35Speaker 4: is not really the allocation you want, then you do
- 20:38Speaker 4: have an alternative a drama where it's at twenty seven percent,
- 20:40Speaker 4: a larger allocation.
- 20:42Speaker 2: So I like, I love both, I really do really cool.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I'm not saying the smah is not bad.
- 20:48Speaker 2: No, it's great.
- 20:48Speaker 3: I'm just saying he was given.
- 20:51Speaker 2: A correlation yet and today I tell what you to.
- 20:54Speaker 6: That point, we talk a lot about the tenure returns
- 20:58Speaker 6: on IPOs, and not enough kudos is given to the
- 21:04Speaker 6: ten year or five year old, to the ETF like
- 21:07Speaker 6: this is a generational opportunity, like even in d ram
- 21:13Speaker 6: like potentially I have to get into one ten by November,
- 21:21Speaker 6: but think of what it could be in five or
- 21:23Speaker 6: six years. And the waiting of the company and how
- 21:25Speaker 6: it's structured is really hot. Quality companies in here. You
- 21:30Speaker 6: can argue some of the best of the best. So
- 21:32Speaker 6: I think it would be remiss if I wouldn't tell you, like,
- 21:35Speaker 6: if you're going to get into this, don't think about
- 21:37Speaker 6: the next two years, look to thirty one before you
- 21:41Speaker 6: even start. And I've been working on my I'm putting
- 21:44Speaker 6: my final touches on the best best presentation. There should
- 21:47Speaker 6: be no liquidation of your ets or stocks, definitely not
- 21:51Speaker 6: pre five years, like I would argue at the ten
- 21:55Speaker 6: year mark, maybe take out twenty percent. I know some
- 21:57Speaker 6: of you gonna be like, oh, how do you make money?
- 22:00Speaker 6: But you're looking to liquidate assets to buy things to
- 22:03Speaker 6: put it online to impress people. For what reason, You're
- 22:08Speaker 6: going to miss out on a potential two or three
- 22:11Speaker 6: million dollars by selling to early. So if you got
- 22:15Speaker 6: in early, continue to hold stock. What prices will be,
- 22:18Speaker 6: and even for Eylu. You know, I'll do this for
- 22:21Speaker 6: the rest of you because I'm got to sell. I'll
- 22:23Speaker 6: put the prices for d Ram and Eylu five year
- 22:26Speaker 6: OP permission for the rest of the year for free.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Appreciate it, man, appreciate it. Thank you.
