Premiere: Dan Ellis - Long Grass [Color Squad Records]
Raised just outside Merseyside, Dan Ellis and his music are an idiosyncratic blend of melody and madness. Influenced by GTA games, the crazy technical instrumentation and chord patterns of 70s Midwest emo, MNLTH and beautiful Aphex ambience...the music holds its own whether at home braindancing, in a virtual world of hedonism, or in the sweatiest nightclubs. Long Grass, the closing track off his Water FM EP, emulates this perfectly. Out on Color Squad Records. https://soundcloud.com/danellismusic https://soundcloud.com/colorsquadrecords
