- 0:20Speaker 3: Stu Gotson Company Live. Some normal crew here, Azygutierrez, stugats
- 0:25Speaker 3: Taylor in the VIP room, which is in New York
- 0:27Speaker 3: for the rest of the summer New York is the
- 0:29Speaker 3: VIP Room, mikey a little lailor. Later on we'll have
- 0:34Speaker 3: Jess Mattana on Mike Golig Junior.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Is it a big Notre Dame Day? Why are they
- 0:38Speaker 4: both coming?
- 0:38Speaker 5: On? College football?
- 0:41Speaker 6: Guest Brandon Soresby, Oh right, right, Jess, let's right by
- 0:45Speaker 6: the parade.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I was telling the guys earlier during the podcast that
- 0:49Speaker 1: it is funny we celebrated the Knicks for exactly.
- 0:52Speaker 5: One day and then immediately.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Get Up shifted its coverage from the Knicks. They've been
- 0:56Speaker 1: wall to wall for two months with Mike Greenberg as
- 0:59Speaker 1: the host of that Joah, and they went for the
- 1:01Speaker 1: Knicks thing at all.
- 1:02Speaker 5: To Brendan Soorsby, it's unbelieve the entire show.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Imagine how the Carolina Hurricanes fans feel they win a
- 1:09Speaker 3: title and nobody heard it happen. A lot to go
- 1:12Speaker 3: to today. We got a Mount Rushmore Monday on a Tuesday,
- 1:15Speaker 3: of course, because yesterday was all about ranting and today
- 1:18Speaker 3: is about Mount rushmooring.
- 1:20Speaker 4: But we got to get it in. But before we get.
- 1:23Speaker 3: To Mount Rushmore Monday, before we get to some Jannis
- 1:26Speaker 3: talkst I do still want to, as you said, I
- 1:29Speaker 3: don't want to just swim past the Knicks and not
- 1:32Speaker 3: discuss them anymore. Like this is a this should be
- 1:35Speaker 3: the similar feeling to the twenty sixteen Chicago Cubs right
- 1:39Speaker 3: the long I mean, not that Brenton Soorsby along away
- 1:41Speaker 3: to nightmare. That's that's happened for a while. Now that's over.
- 1:43Speaker 3: But this nightmare officially over. The knickser champions. The parade's
- 1:47Speaker 3: a little far away from my tay, Stu. We're not
- 1:50Speaker 3: getting the parade until Saturday. Feels like we should be
- 1:53Speaker 3: celebrating a little bit earlier than Matt. Maybe that's why
- 1:56Speaker 3: people are like backing off, taking a deep breath. But
- 1:59Speaker 3: you know who is not is all the players who
- 2:02Speaker 3: are going through their their media tours after winning, and
- 2:06Speaker 3: the funniest one to me of these clips do is
- 2:08Speaker 3: og Annoby, the guy who never says anything. He's usually
- 2:13Speaker 3: like you know a lot of guys and they're usually
- 2:14Speaker 3: like two or three dribbles in the half court.
- 2:16Speaker 4: He's two or three words every single sentence.
- 2:18Speaker 3: It's just a few words, and never in his life,
- 2:22Speaker 3: I would say, has og Anoby ever said something this
- 2:26Speaker 3: funny because what he's about to say is not funny
- 2:28Speaker 3: at all. But when you hear the reaction, you're gonna
- 2:31Speaker 3: be like, Okay, they were ready for og to say
- 2:34Speaker 3: absolutely nothing.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Let's hear it.
- 2:35Speaker 7: I mean I was trying to dunk it, trying to
- 2:44Speaker 7: you know, touch it, make the shot.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Make the shot.
- 2:51Speaker 3: He's never been that funny in his life, Stu No,
- 2:55Speaker 3: So he's talking about the put back and his intention
- 2:57Speaker 3: was to dog it rather than just tip it in
- 2:59Speaker 3: the tip.
- 2:59Speaker 5: And fine, by the way, won the game.
- 3:01Speaker 1: But I've always said that the sports media, Okay, they
- 3:05Speaker 1: will overreact and overlaugh when someone dare say something mildly funny.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I don't think there's anything funny about it, but listen
- 3:13Speaker 1: as someone who is fake laugh for twenty years sitting
- 3:16Speaker 1: next to Lepidard, I get telling you. I am an
- 3:18Speaker 1: expert in the field of fake laughter, and that is
- 3:21Speaker 1: some fake laughter.
- 3:22Speaker 5: Dude.
- 3:22Speaker 3: This one guy if who played again in a second,
- 3:24Speaker 3: this one guy is like out of breath, fake laughing.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Hit it one more time.
- 3:28Speaker 7: I mean, I was trying to dunk it. Don't make
- 3:42Speaker 7: the shot, Try to make the shot.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Could you tell that there was a couple of additional
- 3:47Speaker 3: fake laughs in there?
- 3:47Speaker 4: I don't think you could.
- 3:50Speaker 8: O.
- 3:50Speaker 5: G Ananobi is filmed in front of a live studio.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Sound exactly what it sounds like, Yes, but let's be honest,
- 3:56Speaker 1: it would have been even better had he dunked it.
- 3:58Speaker 4: I mean, that's pretty good.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Vikey Taylor, do you have a favorite of some of
- 4:07Speaker 3: the Knicks reactions so far? Because the one doing the
- 4:11Speaker 3: rounds recently is Jalen Brunson toasting I believe and it's
- 4:16Speaker 3: f wemby, which you know everybody agrees on. There was
- 4:19Speaker 3: the og Tour, which was great. There was Mikhail Bridges
- 4:22Speaker 3: who was on Instagram live for a long time saying
- 4:25Speaker 3: random stuff like not really knowing how to pronounce his
- 4:28Speaker 3: teammate Jeremy Sohan's name. Do you have a favorite of
- 4:31Speaker 3: any of those that have been going kind of off
- 4:33Speaker 3: the wall since the championship.
- 4:36Speaker 8: My favorite is Jalen Brunson asked what moment encapsulates the
- 4:42Speaker 8: next postseason and the next season the most, and his
- 4:46Speaker 8: initial response is the Josh Hart missed dunk, And similar
- 4:50Speaker 8: to that OG reaction, everybody kind of gave a laugh
- 4:53Speaker 8: and be like, oh my god, he's doing the thing
- 4:55Speaker 8: where he makes fun of Josh Hart. But then the
- 4:57Speaker 8: more Jalen Brunson was talking about and was like, No,
- 5:00Speaker 8: the reason why while I would love to make fun
- 5:03Speaker 8: of Josh Hart, the reason why this is the moment
- 5:05Speaker 8: I would pick is because that would have been a
- 5:08Speaker 8: pretty easy moment for us to give up on, and
- 5:11Speaker 8: we found a way to overcome it and get over
- 5:13Speaker 8: I also love anytime it's mckel bridges Jalen Brunson and
- 5:18Speaker 8: Josh Hart because they talk about the Villanova days, they
- 5:22Speaker 8: talk about them winning championships, and then every time they
- 5:25Speaker 8: mentioned winning championships, Jalen Brunson stops whoever's doing the interview
- 5:29Speaker 8: and going Josh one one, me and Mickuel won two.
- 5:34Speaker 3: That's a good point. Could you imagine though, because not
- 5:36Speaker 3: only was the og tip. You know, finals changing. But
- 5:40Speaker 3: imagine if they somehow don't recover from that Josh Hart
- 5:43Speaker 3: miss that Larry David reaction will would have lived on
- 5:47Speaker 3: as the reaction for these New York Knicks. Instead, they
- 5:51Speaker 3: don't even have to worry about that.
- 5:53Speaker 8: So Stu, I used to play. This is something I've
- 5:56Speaker 8: talked about once. I think I used to play Fortnite
- 5:59Speaker 8: with Jalen when he was on the Mavericks because I
- 6:03Speaker 8: was good friends with Justin Jackson who was on the Mavericks,
- 6:06Speaker 8: and then our fourth person was Marcus Page.
- 6:08Speaker 5: So is me.
- 6:09Speaker 8: Marcus Page and Justin Jackson. Those two played basketball in
- 6:12Speaker 8: North Carolina, those two losses championship to Jalen Brunson at
- 6:16Speaker 8: Villanova in twenty sixteen, and every time we played, the
- 6:20Speaker 8: first thing Jalen Brunson would say to us was bringing
- 6:23Speaker 8: up the fact that Villanova beat these guys in the
- 6:27Speaker 8: national championship. So it's a weird spot for me to
- 6:30Speaker 8: be in where one side Jalen Brunson is responsible for
- 6:35Speaker 8: the worst moment in my sports life. That Chris Jenkins
- 6:37Speaker 8: buzzer beater.
- 6:39Speaker 5: Terrible.
- 6:39Speaker 8: I thought I would never recover from that moment. But
- 6:43Speaker 8: he's also responsible for unquestionably the best sports moment of
- 6:48Speaker 8: my life with the Knicks winning the title.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Is it a weird think?
- 6:50Speaker 1: I mean, you have said, You're on record of saying
- 6:52Speaker 1: he changed your life. He has changed our lives. He
- 6:55Speaker 1: changed your life in particular, you said that before the
- 6:57Speaker 1: playoff run even started.
- 6:59Speaker 5: That is actually fascinating.
- 7:01Speaker 1: The fact that Brunson calls you the most sports pain
- 7:04Speaker 1: that you've had in your life and is also giving
- 7:06Speaker 1: you the greatest sports celebration that you've had in your life.
- 7:10Speaker 5: That is crazy.
- 7:11Speaker 8: He is he He ruined my life and then he
- 7:14Speaker 8: built me back up and he made my life. And
- 7:16Speaker 8: I will never say a bad word about Jalen bruns
- 7:19Speaker 8: the rest of eternity.
- 7:20Speaker 4: I mean, isn't that every movie?
- 7:21Speaker 2: Right?
- 7:22Speaker 3: You got to tear yourself down to bring yourself back up.
- 7:24Speaker 3: It only makes it feel better. Curious to is this
- 7:27Speaker 3: a weird spot for Rick Brunson like his son, he's
- 7:29Speaker 3: super proud of him, super proud of him. Oh no,
- 7:32Speaker 3: My son is the King of New York and I
- 7:34Speaker 3: am just his dad. Now, Like I think mission a
- 7:37Speaker 3: complace he can just fade into the background now.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Right, I think for Rick first off, I think it's
- 7:44Speaker 1: more enjoyable, more satisfying to watch your son do.
- 7:48Speaker 5: What he just watched his son do, as opposed to
- 7:51Speaker 5: doing it yourself.
- 7:52Speaker 1: It's what I said about Kobe when he passed away
- 7:55Speaker 1: tragically in the helicopter accident.
- 7:57Speaker 5: He's missing the best parts.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And think about that when I say that no one
- 8:01Speaker 1: had as many good moments except for Michael Jordan on
- 8:04Speaker 1: the basketball court than Kobe Bryant. And when I say
- 8:08Speaker 1: he's missing the good parts, he's missing seeing his daughter
- 8:11Speaker 1: do what it is that he did for a living.
- 8:13Speaker 5: And I am.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Telling you there was more satisfaction in watching your sibling,
- 8:18Speaker 1: watching your son do it, watching your daughter do it,
- 8:21Speaker 1: than doing it yourself. So I think Rick Brunston is
- 8:23Speaker 1: having a day right now. He's having a moment, is he.
- 8:25Speaker 8: After the Knicks won the championship, there was a strange
- 8:29Speaker 8: moment on the ESPN set with the inside the NBA
- 8:34Speaker 8: guys and Rick Brunson and Jalen Brunson. They're celebrating Jalen.
- 8:37Speaker 8: Everybody's talking. Jalen's the King of New York. Jalen is
- 8:40Speaker 8: a Knicks basketball legend for the rest of his life
- 8:43Speaker 8: and his Dad very quickly chimes in and he goes
- 8:48Speaker 8: first off, Patrick Ewing is still the best Nick I've
- 8:50Speaker 8: ever seen in my lifetime. The second Shaq is still
- 8:54Speaker 8: the best free agent signing I've ever seen in my life.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Wow, he is parenting until the very end. He's like, no, no,
- 9:00Speaker 3: you gotta stay humble, man. You haven't even reached Patrick
- 9:03Speaker 3: Ewing levels. How is he going to do that?
- 9:05Speaker 5: Exactly?
- 9:05Speaker 4: How I mean?
- 9:06Speaker 3: He can't compare with him in size, he can't compare
- 9:09Speaker 3: with him in statute. Is literally, if he just won
- 9:11Speaker 3: a championship for New York and he's still not as
- 9:13Speaker 3: good as Patrick Ewing, he'll.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Never be as good as Patrick Ewing.
- 9:15Speaker 5: He's already better than Patrick Ewing. That's just Dad being dad.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Everyone knows that Jalen brunts, And when we think back
- 9:21Speaker 1: to all time great Knicks, we're gonna think brunts him
- 9:23Speaker 1: before Ewing.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Now he won a championship, Ewing did not. That is
- 9:26Speaker 5: just dad. That's tough love.
- 9:28Speaker 1: That's hey, I'm not gonna let you feel good about
- 9:29Speaker 1: yourself until the career is done.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it was, as you were saying it, I was like,
- 9:34Speaker 3: I don't remember this moment. When then I Oh yeah,
- 9:36Speaker 3: I definitely remember that quote. All Right, you guys, as
- 9:41Speaker 3: Knicks fans, I feel like you have the say as
- 9:44Speaker 3: to what is best for the league right now, because
- 9:46Speaker 3: I think it's fair to say it all turned out
- 9:49Speaker 3: as expected, right the Knicks winning felt about as good
- 9:53Speaker 3: for non Knicks fans as he could possibly feel. I mean,
- 9:56Speaker 3: it's hard for you to say right as Knicks fans,
- 9:58Speaker 3: but I feel that way. I feel like enough non
- 10:01Speaker 3: Knicks fans sort of turned the corner and said, yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 3: I'm gonna pull for that little guy over that big
- 10:05Speaker 3: alien over there and see how New York reacts, and
- 10:08Speaker 3: it was phenomenal. New York fans have now felt what
- 10:11Speaker 3: it feels like. And so I'm curious when you look
- 10:14Speaker 3: at the Jannis ant at the Koumpo sweepstakes as a
- 10:17Speaker 3: Knicks fan, as a this.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Is better for the league?
- 10:20Speaker 5: Judge?
- 10:21Speaker 4: Right here?
- 10:22Speaker 3: Would you rather because the reports are either Miami or
- 10:25Speaker 3: Boston right now are the two strongest suitors to best
- 10:29Speaker 3: trade packages, even though somehow nobody's actually reporting what the
- 10:32Speaker 3: Boston trade packages. As a Knick fan, where would you
- 10:35Speaker 3: rather see?
- 10:35Speaker 4: Jannis Stu?
- 10:38Speaker 5: I can't choose Sacramento.
- 10:39Speaker 3: You can't see unless they come in with a laid
- 10:41Speaker 3: package right now. No, you can't choose Sacramento. They are
- 10:44Speaker 3: not one of the reported options.
- 10:46Speaker 5: All right, So, man, I don't want to see him
- 10:49Speaker 5: in Boston.
- 10:50Speaker 1: But I say that not knowing as you pointed out,
- 10:52Speaker 1: what the actual offer is.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Let's assume it's Jalen Brown because it seems like they
- 10:57Speaker 3: are tied deeper to to Jason Tatum, and you know,
- 11:02Speaker 3: Jalen Brown's name has been floated around. You have the
- 11:04Speaker 3: whole internal conflict of him saying this was his best
- 11:07Speaker 3: year and maybe people hearing that the wrong way, so
- 11:09Speaker 3: it feels like it would be centered around Jalen Brown.
- 11:12Speaker 5: All right, now, let me play your role here. Do
- 11:14Speaker 5: we know what the heat offer is? Yes?
- 11:16Speaker 3: Yes, No, that's not a bad question, Tyler hero Khalel Ware, Haimi, Hakez,
- 11:21Speaker 3: Nikola Jovich, either Pela Larson or kazyak at choonis.
- 11:25Speaker 5: So everyone but Jaam essentially everyone but Bam.
- 11:29Speaker 1: So it's gonna be Yannis and Bam taking on the
- 11:31Speaker 1: Knicks or Jason Tatum and Yannis take it on the Knicks.
- 11:35Speaker 5: I want him to go to Miami Taylor.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Because I don't care Like, if you're gonna give up
- 11:39Speaker 1: all that to get Yanni's and you're gonna pair him
- 11:41Speaker 1: with Bam, I'm not certain just how good Miami's gonna be.
- 11:45Speaker 5: I am terrified of Yanni's being on that.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Boston team with that coach, with that front office, and
- 11:49Speaker 1: also with a healthy Jason Tatum.
- 11:52Speaker 8: Is he How I'm looking at it is the next
- 11:56Speaker 8: are gonna be back in the Eastern Conference Finals. I
- 11:58Speaker 8: think we could all agree on that point. Nix are
- 12:00Speaker 8: to be in the Eastern Conference Finals as long as
- 12:01Speaker 8: we have Jalen Brunson leading the front line.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Sure, So I'm looking at.
- 12:05Speaker 8: It as I want the heat to be as good
- 12:08Speaker 8: as possible because I'm gonna have to be making all
- 12:11Speaker 8: these trips to the Eastern Conference Finals. Would I rather
- 12:13Speaker 8: go to Boston or would I rather make that short
- 12:16Speaker 8: trip over to Miami.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I'm picking. But then you go Boston, New York, Boston,
- 12:20Speaker 5: New York. That's an easy trip for you. You know.
- 12:23Speaker 6: I was gonna say, you're gonna be in New York anyway, Taylor,
- 12:25Speaker 6: just to be around the energy in the.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Spring, the weather, it's gonna be good.
- 12:29Speaker 5: That is a good point.
- 12:31Speaker 8: But I still think We're only gonna be in Miami
- 12:34Speaker 8: for two games where we're gonna sweep. We saw at
- 12:36Speaker 8: this this playoff run, we're sweeping every team except the
- 12:39Speaker 8: Atlanta Hawks. I'll take two games in Miami over two
- 12:42Speaker 8: games in Boston. Also, I'm a little I'm I hate
- 12:45Speaker 8: to say it, I'm gonna whisper it. I'm just a
- 12:46Speaker 8: little afraid of Boston and got some mystique to them.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I was gonna say from a New York fan, obviously
- 12:51Speaker 3: you've got the long standing rivalry with the Heat, but
- 12:55Speaker 3: you know, the Knicks Boston like that feels like it's
- 12:59Speaker 3: a current day right where they've both been good at
- 13:01Speaker 3: a high level for you know, longer than the Heat, right.
- 13:04Speaker 3: The Heat's been a playing team for the last few years.
- 13:06Speaker 3: So it feels different for me. If I look at
- 13:09Speaker 3: Yannis on the Celtics with Jason Tatum, it feels like
- 13:14Speaker 3: more of a sure thing. It feels like they already
- 13:16Speaker 3: have a system in place. You know, they're gonna surround
- 13:18Speaker 3: them with a bunch of shooters and now you're not
- 13:21Speaker 3: going to have to complain about Jason Tatum not going
- 13:24Speaker 3: to the rim is often because that's Gianni's job. And
- 13:26Speaker 3: they obviously have won a championship together more more recently
- 13:30Speaker 3: with the Heat. Look, it's gonna be successful, right, They're
- 13:33Speaker 3: gonna win fifty to fifty five, fifty you know, somewhere
- 13:36Speaker 3: in that range number of games, it's going to seem
- 13:39Speaker 3: like a success. And then it's gonna be like, Okay,
- 13:41Speaker 3: where are they gonna get their scoring in the in
- 13:43Speaker 3: the postseason? Because if it's Yannis Bam Wiggins and Davion
- 13:47Speaker 3: Mitchell as you're starting four out of five, like, yeah,
- 13:49Speaker 3: you're gonna need to stretch the floor, and teammate teams
- 13:51Speaker 3: are gonna really crash that or really make sure that
- 13:54Speaker 3: you don't really get too much action in the paint.
- 13:56Speaker 3: So it feels like, yeah, I'm with you. It feels
- 13:59Speaker 3: like the for the rest of the league, they're better
- 14:02Speaker 3: off if Giannis comes to Miami and saying, hey, let's
- 14:05Speaker 3: see if you can win it with that.
- 14:06Speaker 6: What's up, Mikey, If you're asking as New Yorkers, as
- 14:10Speaker 6: New York nick fans, as just fans of teams in
- 14:13Speaker 6: New York, we don't like Miami, but we hate Boston.
- 14:18Speaker 6: So it's never going We never want Boston to be
- 14:22Speaker 6: good at anything. Miami, We're like, ah, you guys, we
- 14:25Speaker 6: don't want you to be good.
- 14:26Speaker 5: But Boston we hate that.
- 14:28Speaker 8: Is he how I'm looking at this right now, I'm
- 14:31Speaker 8: looking at it from the perspective of I am so glad.
- 14:34Speaker 8: I am no longer in the position where June rolls
- 14:38Speaker 8: around and the only thing I care about is photo
- 14:41Speaker 8: shopping the best players in the NBA into my teams. Jersey,
- 14:45Speaker 8: I'm kicking my feet up. We have them still. We
- 14:47Speaker 8: have Karl Anthony Towns, we have Jaylen Brunson, we have
- 14:49Speaker 8: og Ananobi, we have Josh Hart.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Yes, if only we had five first round picks to
- 14:54Speaker 1: give up to get Yannis.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I mean, look, last thing I'll say here for the
- 14:59Speaker 3: health of the league. It feels like, in terms of
- 15:01Speaker 3: spreading the wealth, right, it feels like it's better if
- 15:03Speaker 3: Jannis ends up in Miami. It feels like it's a
- 15:06Speaker 3: because obviously the Celtics just one one in twenty twenty
- 15:08Speaker 3: four and have what eighteen now, so spreading the wealth,
- 15:12Speaker 3: he should come to Miami. But there's also just the
- 15:14Speaker 3: the Wemby thing, right and teasing the mount Rushmore Monday situation.
- 15:18Speaker 3: But the Wemby situation as the guy you have to overcome.
- 15:21Speaker 3: If you're talking about Bam and Yiannis versus Wemby versus
- 15:24Speaker 3: Tatum and Yannis versus Wemby, Obviously Bam and Yannis a
- 15:28Speaker 3: tougher duo, a more probably a duo that can do
- 15:31Speaker 3: more against Wemby if he is going to be that
- 15:34Speaker 3: guy for a long time.
- 15:36Speaker 5: I gotta tell you it don't sound like a Homer
- 15:38Speaker 5: at all.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I mean, Jesus, I'm trying to lay it out objectively.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company

- 15:50Speaker 2: Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
- 15:55Speaker 1: It's a mount Rushmore Monday on a Tuesday. Here, we'll
- 15:57Speaker 1: get to it. Sorry, Dan through it to me. I
- 15:59Speaker 1: wanted to just keep it going.
- 16:00Speaker 3: I didn't know, and I didn't know if you were
- 16:02Speaker 3: going to grab it or not. I saw the ball
- 16:03Speaker 3: in the air and I grabbed it. But I did
- 16:05Speaker 3: want to say this to Dan. Dan, in a very
- 16:07Speaker 3: short period of time, you have been one of my
- 16:09Speaker 3: favorite people on the planet. You have the voice of
- 16:11Speaker 3: an angel, and I am not just pandering to you
- 16:14Speaker 3: so that you can have me win the mount Rushmore Monday.
- 16:18Speaker 3: I just want to correct you really briefly. Aldan Smith
- 16:21Speaker 3: was thirty six, not seventy six.
- 16:23Speaker 5: But did I say thirty six six?
- 16:27Speaker 4: I'm sorry, I just it was a little bit of
- 16:29Speaker 4: a shocker.
- 16:30Speaker 3: It's kind of like in the first update that you
- 16:32Speaker 3: had before the show, Like some updates just hit me harder.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Like when you said Reshie Rice was released from prison,
- 16:38Speaker 3: It's like, oh, he was in prison.
- 16:39Speaker 5: That's right.
- 16:39Speaker 4: That was a little bit of a shocker.
- 16:41Speaker 5: Thirty days.
- 16:41Speaker 6: Yeah, I know one person who's not getting the golden ticket.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Yeah? Did he toss it back to me? You see
- 16:47Speaker 1: what I deal with every Yeah?
- 16:48Speaker 5: Right, it's crazy. Right.
- 16:49Speaker 9: Did you see the Rashi Rice video, Like the camera
- 16:52Speaker 9: crews were waiting for him as he was like doing
- 16:55Speaker 9: his paperwork to get out of jail, and he walked backwards.
- 16:58Speaker 9: It was almost like a moonwalk. It was actually pretty
- 17:00Speaker 9: impressive to try to avoid the cameras and then went
- 17:03Speaker 9: through the door and ran away. But Rashi Rice, following
- 17:07Speaker 9: knee surgery, can they can walk backwards?
- 17:09Speaker 4: It's pretty impressive about that.
- 17:11Speaker 3: All right, let's get the imaging ready for him.
- 17:13Speaker 4: I'm so sorry that I did that to Dan Byer.
- 17:15Speaker 4: He was only forty years off. That's why obviously on
- 17:19Speaker 4: this book, it's what you do. Okay, I love you Dad.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Let's hit the imaging for Matt Rushmore Monday.
- 17:24Speaker 5: He doesn't love you? There?
- 17:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you the guy with the spreadsheet pretending to work.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Do you find yourself needing a pick me up as
- 17:34Speaker 2: you're dragging in your cubicle start the week? Are you
- 17:39Speaker 2: ready to put the sports back in sports talk? Well,
- 17:44Speaker 2: then you're in luck because every Monday we climbed the mountain,
- 17:48Speaker 2: we talked the legends, and we argue about.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Things the truth you can't handle, the truth.
- 17:55Speaker 2: That absolutely do not matter and are completely subjective. This
- 18:01Speaker 2: is Mount Rushmore Monday, Monday.
- 18:05Speaker 8: So the Mount Rushmore Monday on a Tuesday, as picked
- 18:09Speaker 8: by Stu Gotts, who was the champion last week his
- 18:13Speaker 8: sports villains. The draft order will be busy Stu, Taylor,
- 18:19Speaker 8: Mikey and then we're gonna snap back around.
- 18:21Speaker 5: All right. Let's keep in mind this is an honor
- 18:23Speaker 5: of Victor Webbin Yama.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Okay, because he is the villain.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Let's be honest, Dan, would you ever rather meet corrected?
- 18:31Speaker 3: You or people at home say, does he really think that? Smith?
- 18:34Speaker 4: Was seventy six.
- 18:36Speaker 9: Right, It's okay, it should be it should be correct,
- 18:38Speaker 9: the information should be correct.
- 18:40Speaker 4: He's never last.
- 18:41Speaker 5: I do have a question for you.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Is there a golden goose here when we say always
- 18:45Speaker 1: sports billies?
- 18:46Speaker 9: Yes, yes, there will always be a villain, absolutely, some
- 18:51Speaker 9: some more noticeable than others.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I don't know who the golden gander
- 18:57Speaker 3: is gonna be. I don't love having the first pick
- 18:59Speaker 3: in this particular category. There is no obvious number one pick. However,
- 19:05Speaker 3: when I think of villains, I know we think of
- 19:08Speaker 3: you know, he's hated or she is hated by the opposition,
- 19:10Speaker 3: by the opposing fans. This dude was hated by everybody.
- 19:16Speaker 4: Lance Armstrong pretty good.
- 19:19Speaker 3: I mean he did start but was it Live Strong?
- 19:22Speaker 3: And he did raise a whole bunch of money for
- 19:24Speaker 3: its charity.
- 19:25Speaker 4: But I feel like that's somebody who was definitely hated.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Why are you shocked he went Dre Taylor? You feel
- 19:30Speaker 1: like Lance Armstrong is an American hero?
- 19:32Speaker 8: I mean I think I think that was a fourth
- 19:34Speaker 8: round pick that just went one.
- 19:36Speaker 3: War really, yes, okay, agreed that I wasn't happy with
- 19:40Speaker 3: the number one pick.
- 19:41Speaker 1: All right, I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm
- 19:46Speaker 1: going figure skating what Tanya heart Oh my gosh. Banya
- 19:51Speaker 1: Hardy disappointed and upset an entireher country that was rooting
- 19:56Speaker 1: for Nancy Carrigate. She hired someone to take up pipe
- 20:00Speaker 1: to Karragan's knee and prevented her, I believe from skating
- 20:03Speaker 1: in the Olympics. So for me, that's your teammate. It's
- 20:07Speaker 1: like a magic pittpen doing that to Jordan. So Tanya
- 20:10Speaker 1: Harding did this to Nancy Karragan. Kargan was a favorite
- 20:13Speaker 1: to win the gold. Tanya Hardy is first time. I'm
- 20:16Speaker 1: Matt Rushmore sports.
- 20:18Speaker 5: Villain, Taylor.
- 20:18Speaker 4: I want to react the same way.
- 20:20Speaker 3: But if you actually write a villain into a movie,
- 20:24Speaker 3: it is Tanya Hardy, Like they actually did a movie
- 20:26Speaker 3: about this.
- 20:27Speaker 4: She was literally the villain.
- 20:28Speaker 3: I think this is a great pick you could have
- 20:30Speaker 3: her mother was the villain in that.
- 20:32Speaker 5: That's true, Stu, I'm not joking.
- 20:36Speaker 8: On my big board one one was Tanya Harding with
- 20:39Speaker 8: a note next to it. Yeah, there's people you don't
- 20:42Speaker 8: like because they were dirty players. There's people that you
- 20:44Speaker 8: don't like because they said things. When you put a
- 20:46Speaker 8: hit out on your opponent. Oh yeah, you you jumped
- 20:50Speaker 8: to the top of the list.
- 20:51Speaker 5: That was Stuve. That was such a great thing, Thank
- 20:54Speaker 5: you very much.
- 20:55Speaker 1: And not just any opponent. Nancy Kerragan like America fell
- 20:59Speaker 1: in love with. He corrogated Tanya Harding, just took her out.
- 21:03Speaker 8: I mean, so with my first round pick, this is
- 21:07Speaker 8: where I thought Izzy was going once he said everybody
- 21:09Speaker 8: hated this person.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Say he's gonna take my second Yes.
- 21:13Speaker 5: Christian Layner. He got a documented dream team.
- 21:20Speaker 3: That's such a It's a very good call. He was
- 21:22Speaker 3: a great villain. I feel like it died after college,
- 21:27Speaker 3: but no, it counts because it was such a strong villain.
- 21:29Speaker 5: Great pick is he?
- 21:31Speaker 1: It did die after college, but I will tell you,
- 21:32Speaker 1: for a four year period, Christian Layner.
- 21:34Speaker 5: Was as hated as anyone in America.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Yeah, somebody stepped on people's chest. All right, Mike, you
- 21:39Speaker 3: got back to back picks here.
- 21:41Speaker 4: All right, I got back to back picks.
- 21:43Speaker 6: I'm going to take the other big white guy who
- 21:46Speaker 6: played basketball.
- 21:47Speaker 5: I'm gonna take Bill.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Lan Miller and Beer's a good one.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Yeah yeah.
- 21:53Speaker 6: And then with my second pick, I'm gonna take probably
- 21:57Speaker 6: the most hated man in the NFL.
- 21:58Speaker 4: For being dirty.
- 22:00Speaker 6: I'm gonna take Bill Romanowski.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Wow, do you think that.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Is as bad of a villain if Michael Jordan doesn't exist?
- 22:11Speaker 4: Because that is right.
- 22:13Speaker 3: No, I'm not. I'm not questioning your pick. It's a
- 22:15Speaker 3: great pick. But he became the villains primarily for what
- 22:19Speaker 3: he did to Michael Jordan, and that speaks to the
- 22:22Speaker 3: power of Michael Jordan, does it not?
- 22:24Speaker 1: Yes, yes, no question about it. So Taylor's up here.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I have a feeling a tailor. He's just gonna have
- 22:29Speaker 1: a mount rushmore duke players.
- 22:31Speaker 4: So you know what, that makes so much sense.
- 22:35Speaker 8: Now, So while that is a good idea, I'm gonna go.
- 22:42Speaker 5: Yankees.
- 22:43Speaker 8: Alex Rodriguez such a great villain for the sport he
- 22:46Speaker 8: played for the Evil Empire.
- 22:48Speaker 5: It was like a perfect joining of forces.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Yes, Yankee a rod different than Texas a rod, different
- 22:54Speaker 1: than Seattle a rod.
- 22:56Speaker 5: But he did listen.
- 22:57Speaker 1: He didn't put up a fight when Jeter said, hey,
- 22:59Speaker 1: I'm staying shortstop.
- 23:00Speaker 5: You have to give him that, you know.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like, yeah, the Taylor's actually he feelslokster.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Than most of these other folks.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Right.
- 23:09Speaker 3: He really hated Christian They didn't go to UNC.
- 23:12Speaker 4: How old were you back then?
- 23:12Speaker 3: Were you even alive when Christian Layner was hated?
- 23:15Speaker 5: No, I don't believe all right, I cannot believe you guys.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I wrote down two names, and my second pick is
- 23:27Speaker 1: still on the board. The most hated man, I would say,
- 23:30Speaker 1: in the history of sports media skip ballas I didn't
- 23:38Speaker 1: remember there was a sports villain. It's sports media. And
- 23:41Speaker 1: he played the role the way his eyebrows kind of
- 23:44Speaker 1: went up when he would get really really angry.
- 23:46Speaker 5: He looked like a villain.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Uh so I'm gonna go skip Ballis I have Tanya
- 23:50Speaker 1: Hardy get skip Ballis I'm.
- 23:52Speaker 5: Done for the dad? How about that?
- 23:54Speaker 3: I felt, I felt that villain energy come at me
- 23:57Speaker 3: one time where I did first take with skip and
- 23:59Speaker 3: I briefly, not briefly, I effectively mocked his uh.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Or was it the gene?
- 24:05Speaker 5: Uh?
- 24:06Speaker 4: What does he have a he has got the clutch gene? Remember?
- 24:09Speaker 3: So he used to go to the clutch gene all
- 24:10Speaker 3: the time and I was like, you know, that's not
- 24:12Speaker 3: a thing, right And we talked about it.
- 24:13Speaker 4: On the air man after that show. Was he angry
- 24:16Speaker 4: at me?
- 24:16Speaker 3: I don't think I was ever allowed to that for you.
- 24:19Speaker 5: You deserved it.
- 24:19Speaker 1: I mean, it is a thing, and he was right
- 24:21Speaker 1: about it.
- 24:23Speaker 3: It's not a thing, all right, So two picks for me,
- 24:26Speaker 3: I feel like I'm gonna have a theme, shut up.
- 24:28Speaker 4: I feel like I'm gonna have a theme to uh,
- 24:30Speaker 4: to mine, and it's.
- 24:32Speaker 5: People who got away with stuff.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Because for me, the next hated person is Floyd made
- 24:39Speaker 3: Floyd Mayweather. I feel like he's a villain to anybody,
- 24:44Speaker 3: isn't Heah, I feel like I feel like he's a
- 24:47Speaker 3: specific villain to a lot of people.
- 24:50Speaker 4: So I like that one.
- 24:51Speaker 3: And then I gotta go with Barry Bonds.
- 24:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel like giants Barry Bonds.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Well, yeah, giants Barry Bonds because nobody hated him that
- 25:00Speaker 3: much in Pittsburgh. But if you feel like he's getting
- 25:02Speaker 3: away with something and he's just doing it right in
- 25:04Speaker 3: your face, then yeah, people are gonna hate him.
- 25:07Speaker 4: So I gotta go with Bonds, all right.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Uh? Buyer here, Dan der As, I like to say,
- 25:16Speaker 5: you made both of your picks right there as I
- 25:17Speaker 5: did here. Yes, all right? Uh us open week is here.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna take the guy that's responsible for the live tour,
- 25:24Speaker 1: the guy who's responsible for taking all the PGA Tour
- 25:27Speaker 1: players away from the PGA and have them play it
- 25:30Speaker 1: live for a couple of years. Guys like John rob
- 25:32Speaker 1: all these guys. I'm gonna go Phil Micholson Lefty. If
- 25:36Speaker 1: there was ever a vill of it on the PGA Tour,
- 25:39Speaker 1: Phil Mickelson is that villain, So I will go Lefty.
- 25:42Speaker 3: I think Dan would agree with me here if he
- 25:45Speaker 3: eventually became the biggest villain on the PGA Tour, he
- 25:48Speaker 3: started his career as the most beloved on the PGA Tour.
- 25:51Speaker 4: Am I right?
- 25:51Speaker 2: Dan?
- 25:52Speaker 9: Yes, it's quite the turn, especially because of recent events,
- 25:56Speaker 9: so this may be a very timely pick for Stu Gotts.
- 25:59Speaker 5: I feel like, how about that Taylor? That was a
- 26:06Speaker 5: good line Taylor right now? I meanelievab.
- 26:14Speaker 8: With my third round pick, I'm shocked this name is
- 26:17Speaker 8: still on the board. Actually for if for being.
- 26:19Speaker 5: Honest and.
- 26:22Speaker 8: Lebron James Miami heat where he did the full turn
- 26:26Speaker 8: to villain. He was he was the baby face of
- 26:28Speaker 8: the league, and then the decision kind of kind of
- 26:31Speaker 8: tanked that until he went back to Cleveland.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Okay, like that one.
- 26:35Speaker 3: I mean he famously said he hated being the villain
- 26:37Speaker 3: and wasn't the villain after the first year. Just this
- 26:40Speaker 3: is for you information, Dan, This is for your information,
- 26:42Speaker 3: just so you know.
- 26:43Speaker 8: But Stu Gottsch, you can't choose if you're the villain
- 26:46Speaker 8: or not. Like Lebron went to Miami, he became the villain.
- 26:49Speaker 5: He did yep, and he sunk into it. He did.
- 26:52Speaker 3: All right, Mike, he's got his last two picks?
- 26:54Speaker 6: All right, my last two picks? First one easy? Bill
- 26:58Speaker 6: Belichick go on cheating? How many times to keep getting
- 27:03Speaker 6: away with it?
- 27:03Speaker 5: What? What's your what's your question? Taylor? What what you got?
- 27:06Speaker 6: That puzzled look on your fades, like, oh wait, are
- 27:08Speaker 6: we even calling him a villain?
- 27:10Speaker 5: Yeah? What is mikey doing a thing? Right now? He's
- 27:13Speaker 5: got Bill Lambier, Bill roman Elson triumphant of Bills, and
- 27:21Speaker 5: my last pick. I dare you to find somebody more hated?
- 27:25Speaker 1: Uh?
- 27:25Speaker 5: In baseball? John Rocker Rockers?
- 27:29Speaker 3: Wow, that is a great I got sent to New
- 27:32Speaker 3: York to do a John Rockers story after all that nonsense.
- 27:35Speaker 3: He said, Yeah, why what do you say?
- 27:40Speaker 5: I just meant he was pitching high it d What
- 27:43Speaker 5: do you mean?
- 27:45Speaker 4: Very welcoming person? John Rocker?
- 27:49Speaker 5: Taylor? Taylor? He is Yeah, I did.
- 27:53Speaker 8: I did not have Mikey going Bill Belichick. I think
- 27:57Speaker 8: I'm going to counter Mikey's Bill Belichick pick here with
- 28:00Speaker 8: just Tom Brady because belchick Brady kind of go hand
- 28:04Speaker 8: in hand. I grew up a Jets fan. I grew
- 28:06Speaker 8: up absolutely hating Tom Brady. I feel like the rest
- 28:09Speaker 8: of the league kind of had that sentiment. The only
- 28:10Speaker 8: people that like Tom Brady for if you were on,
- 28:13Speaker 8: if you were New England fans.
- 28:16Speaker 5: All right, Tory Brady's a great one, my last one here.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I gotta be honest. I feel like I've heard it one,
- 28:22Speaker 1: but I will give it anyway. I'm not certain anyone
- 28:26Speaker 1: sunk into sports villain more than Terrell Lewins. T O
- 28:31Speaker 1: is a great sports villain. He enjoyed being a sports villain.
- 28:34Speaker 1: No one liked too. Whether it was in San Francisco, Dallas, Philadelphia,
- 28:38Speaker 1: anywhere else, no one ever liked that guy.
- 28:40Speaker 5: He didn't care. He sunk into it. He enjoyed it.
- 28:43Speaker 1: And Torell Lewens is my fourth on my Mount Rushmore
- 28:45Speaker 1: sports villain.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Okay, I gotta stack to it.
- 28:49Speaker 5: I feel like I got pocket aces.
- 28:51Speaker 4: I don't know what skip He's not a nice all.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Right, So my last one. I hate vontees Perfect, I
- 28:57Speaker 3: hate Tyson Fury, I hate a lot of guys, but
- 29:00Speaker 3: I think classic sports villain. I think John McEnroe, I
- 29:04Speaker 3: think John mce and Tennis everybody and so so many names.
- 29:10Speaker 4: There's not you.
- 29:13Speaker 6: I mean Josey Altuve, Draymond Green, Wemby, Kevin Dinor McGregor,
- 29:20Speaker 6: Connor McGregor's Lanta, Michael Vick.
- 29:23Speaker 5: Oh, I forgot about that.
- 29:25Speaker 8: So I don't want to double up with with my duke.
- 29:27Speaker 8: After I picked Christian Lightner, I had JJ Reddick duke
- 29:32Speaker 8: Grayson Allen and the one that I'm kind of kicking
- 29:35Speaker 8: myself over, coach k I feel like coach Kkan college
- 29:39Speaker 8: basketball villain.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Good when Grayson Allen I think even probably would have
- 29:42Speaker 3: been better than.
- 29:43Speaker 4: JJ Redick because of all the cheap shots that he took.
- 29:45Speaker 3: All Right, Dan to recap, We've got my amazing Mount
- 29:48Speaker 3: Rushmore as Lance Armstrong, Floyd Mayweather, Barry Bonds and John McEnroe.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Stu has, Tanya Harding, Skip Bayless, what an Athlete, Chicken,
- 29:57Speaker 3: Phil Mickelson and Terrell Owens. Taylor has Christian Lightner. The
- 30:02Speaker 3: Yankees a Rod Lebron James in Miami and Tom Brady
- 30:07Speaker 3: and Mikey had Bill Lame Beer, Bill Romanowski.
- 30:10Speaker 4: Bill Bill was the third one.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Oh Bill Belichick and John William Rocker. I don't think
- 30:15Speaker 3: that's his middle name.
- 30:16Speaker 5: Was there a golden ticket taken?
- 30:19Speaker 9: There was not a golden ticket taken? There was a
- 30:22Speaker 9: golden ticket. Who was Angel Hernandez?
- 30:26Speaker 5: Uh?
- 30:26Speaker 4: Wow wow?
- 30:28Speaker 5: No one likes wow wow wow.
- 30:31Speaker 3: The problem with that one is one team hates him,
- 30:35Speaker 3: other team doesn't mind.
- 30:37Speaker 5: Just give it time. And those I didn't know umpires
- 30:40Speaker 5: were in play.
- 30:40Speaker 4: I have to be honest, right, yeah right, but they
- 30:42Speaker 4: kind of keep fell under the media member.
- 30:44Speaker 9: Yeah, once he said skip Balis. That felt like I
- 30:47Speaker 9: was pretty safe with the Angel Hernandez. But that was
- 30:50Speaker 9: the golden ticket. Didn't think anybody would take it. So
- 30:52Speaker 9: there was a silver ticket. And that just prevents you
- 30:54Speaker 9: from being last. So congrats? Is he because Barry Bonds
- 30:58Speaker 9: is who I did write down at that point, so
- 31:00Speaker 9: is he? You are not in last? Who is in last?
- 31:04Speaker 9: I love the roster, I love the first round pick,
- 31:07Speaker 9: but I also think that people loved these players. So Taylor,
- 31:10Speaker 9: I think that Lebron has fans Brady has huge fans.
- 31:13Speaker 9: A Rod is some fans.
- 31:15Speaker 5: So Taylor is in.
- 31:16Speaker 9: Fourth, is he? You are in third? So that leaves
- 31:19Speaker 9: it down to Stewart mikey A. And honestly, I think
- 31:22Speaker 9: mikey A got the assignment right. Lambier wasn't even good.
- 31:26Speaker 9: We just hated him. Romanowski was a decent linebacker, we
- 31:29Speaker 9: just hated him. John Rocker was a good closer for
- 31:31Speaker 9: a while, but we also just hated him. So when
- 31:34Speaker 9: you talk about villains, nobody really liked those guys. They
- 31:37Speaker 9: were just bad guys. Mikey A wins today.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Wow, Oh well, tell you what I mean. Tanya already
- 31:43Speaker 5: hired to take out Carogate. I mean, this is a
- 31:47Speaker 5: great first pick. You flopped after that.
- 31:50Speaker 4: Somebody creeping up my list. Dan Byern.
- 31:54Speaker 5: Like the villain.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 31:59Speaker 2: Live weekdays at three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.
- 32:08Speaker 5: Breaking news from Fox Sports.
- 32:10Speaker 9: It's correction Tuesday here on Fox Sports Radio. Earlier, you
- 32:13Speaker 9: may have heard Israel Goodi Eras state that the Knicks
- 32:16Speaker 9: parade is on Saturday.
- 32:17Speaker 4: That is incorrect.
- 32:18Speaker 9: We don't want anyone in the New York area showing
- 32:20Speaker 9: up forty eight hours late for the parade. It will
- 32:23Speaker 9: take place on Thursday in the big app.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I don't know if the sounder was necessary there, Dan,
- 32:31Speaker 3: great job.
- 32:32Speaker 5: The only thing I can I do that?
- 32:34Speaker 4: Can we do that again?
- 32:35Speaker 5: Sam? Can we just do it again just quickly if
- 32:37Speaker 5: you want us to read the promo again and a
- 32:40Speaker 5: breaking news from Fox Sports.
- 32:42Speaker 9: I'm good, but I just want to say I respect
- 32:44Speaker 9: Israel good eras so much for all of the work
- 32:46Speaker 9: that he has done throughout the years. I love him
- 32:48Speaker 9: on the show. I appreciate all of his work. He's
- 32:51Speaker 9: a great guy on and off the air, a great
- 32:55Speaker 9: smile even if it's upside down, a great head of hair,
- 32:58Speaker 9: he fits. He shows up for a softball team even
- 33:01Speaker 9: when he doesn't want to be there. But the Knicks
- 33:03Speaker 9: parade is on Thursday, not on Saturday. As he was
- 33:05Speaker 9: a real good eras mentioned earlier in this update, you know.
- 33:09Speaker 3: What, I don't mind that if you're gonna shower me
- 33:11Speaker 3: with compliments on the front day.
- 33:12Speaker 5: Yeah, it was the least I can do.
- 33:14Speaker 9: As you tried to soften the blow from my seventy
- 33:17Speaker 9: six year old comment earlier.
- 33:20Speaker 8: Dan, those compliments were so good I was thinking during it.
- 33:24Speaker 8: Can I correct Dan Byron before the end of this segment,
- 33:28Speaker 8: but just so that I could get some complimence.
- 33:30Speaker 5: Yes, it happens. Yes, you got carried away with a
- 33:35Speaker 5: great head of hair.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Though what are you talking about. I get compliments on.
- 33:38Speaker 3: My hair daily, daily from people who think I die
- 33:41Speaker 3: and think it's an amazing color. Dan, you have moved
- 33:44Speaker 3: down my list of villains.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Oh, just at Tat.
- 33:48Speaker 1: He was funny that when you gave that report, Taylor
- 33:50Speaker 1: was scrambling. He thought the parade was actually on Saturday.
- 33:53Speaker 1: He's all set for a Thursday barread. He has scheduled everything,
- 33:57Speaker 1: and he thought I got the day wrong. I saw him,
- 34:00Speaker 1: We looked at me, I looked at him. We were
- 34:02Speaker 1: all concerned because usually you're right and we're wrong. You
- 34:05Speaker 1: have the information we don't, and so therefore I thought,
- 34:08Speaker 1: oh my god, No, usually Taylor on a Thursday, Usually
- 34:11Speaker 1: Taylor with the starvation.
- 34:13Speaker 3: It's funny because it's just one of those things where
- 34:16Speaker 3: it just got stuck in my head, like immediately, I
- 34:19Speaker 3: think on Sunday where I thought I saw it was
- 34:21Speaker 3: on Saturday. So I never looked it up again, never
- 34:23Speaker 3: questioned it, and said it's going to be Saturday, but
- 34:24Speaker 3: I think it's the Carolina Hurricanes parade.
- 34:26Speaker 4: Who's gonna be Saturday?
- 34:28Speaker 1: The parade no one cares about. Yes, those go on Saturdays, right.
- 34:31Speaker 3: So we got Jess Mattanna coming up. We got Mike
- 34:33Speaker 3: Golig junior coming up. But we just did our Mount
- 34:35Speaker 3: rush More Monday, and it was individual sports villains, and man,
- 34:40Speaker 3: we left a lot of people off this list. If
- 34:43Speaker 3: I tell you one name right now, Stu, if this
- 34:45Speaker 3: was twenty twenty one, this person would have been a
- 34:49Speaker 3: first round draft pick.
- 34:50Speaker 5: You ready.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Aaron Rodgers? Remember anti vax Aaron Rodgers?
- 34:55Speaker 3: You know, switching teams Aaron, right like that dude was
- 34:58Speaker 3: hated for a long time and you know, right before
- 35:01Speaker 3: he got into the ayahuasca and all that stuff.
- 35:03Speaker 4: A couple of people we left off.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Dana White, huge sports villain and decency bias maybe, but
- 35:10Speaker 3: Lane Kiffin right now might be the biggest villain in college.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Football right up there. Yes, yeah, it's a handful.
- 35:16Speaker 1: It's interesting because you have certain guys, You're right, as
- 35:18Speaker 1: they started their careers, as they were, they were pretty
- 35:21Speaker 1: much universally beloved, and then somewhere along the line did
- 35:25Speaker 1: something which turned them into a sports villain.
- 35:28Speaker 5: So it is kind of interesting.
- 35:30Speaker 8: If the drafts we did this was in nineteen oh eight,
- 35:33Speaker 8: Taykaw probably.
- 35:35Speaker 1: About well, then let's go does it with Packers quarterbacks though,
- 35:39Speaker 1: because Farv was beloved as well, so was Aaron Rodgers,
- 35:42Speaker 1: and then Farv went on to be a villain, and
- 35:45Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers also went on to be a villain.
- 35:47Speaker 5: Jordan loves going to be a villain suit well.
- 35:49Speaker 4: That probably because he sent a picture of his penis.
- 35:51Speaker 3: I think there's a there's always going to be owners
- 35:54Speaker 3: that are on that list, right, and sometimes it feels
- 35:56Speaker 3: like they'll be the villains forever. So I guess we
- 35:59Speaker 3: would have to rewind time to put these people on
- 36:01Speaker 3: the list. But Wayne Heisinger, I mean they hated him
- 36:05Speaker 3: down here after he stripped those champions World Series winning
- 36:09Speaker 3: Marlins in nineteen ninety seven, and then a little bit
- 36:11Speaker 3: more recently, you've got the Jeffrey Lauria and David Sampson,
- 36:15Speaker 3: and I would say locally that name is probably more
- 36:18Speaker 3: villain than any others, right.
- 36:20Speaker 2: So.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Well Sampson, yes, he listened. He whether you believe it
- 36:25Speaker 1: or not, he built the city of Miami. He had
- 36:27Speaker 1: of billions of dollars, okay, taxpayer dollars and much we
- 36:31Speaker 1: all doesn't like him.
- 36:31Speaker 5: That much either. And I also think if I were
- 36:34Speaker 5: in two countries, how about that exactly?
- 36:36Speaker 3: If I were to start this over, I probably would
- 36:38Speaker 3: have picked over Barry Bonds jose Al Tuove because it's
- 36:43Speaker 3: a different type of cheating. It's a different type of
- 36:45Speaker 3: cheating steroid. Okay, you still got that. The cheating that
- 36:48Speaker 3: the Astros did, nobody liked.
- 36:50Speaker 5: But that's specific to Yankee hatred. Right, No one sits.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Around going, man, I hate jose Al Tuov unless you're
- 36:57Speaker 1: a Yankee fan, right, well, I.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Hate Hosel to the Rogers fans. We've got a few
- 37:03Speaker 3: more minutes here, and we've been ending the show lately, Stu.
- 37:06Speaker 4: As you know, Yeah, with board up.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Ricardo's fifty shows that are better than Breaking Bad.
- 37:13Speaker 4: There's a few rules.
- 37:15Speaker 3: It can't be a one season, right, It's got to
- 37:18Speaker 3: be a multiple season situation. It can't be that. And
- 37:21Speaker 3: somehow he still has fifty.
- 37:22Speaker 5: It's his list.
- 37:23Speaker 6: It's his list, and he has multiple things on it
- 37:26Speaker 6: that to contradict all the things you just said.
- 37:28Speaker 5: He did say he's making the rules for Ricardo's list.
- 37:32Speaker 5: It's his list. He could do whatever the hell he wants.
- 37:34Speaker 5: You want to come up with your own list, a ridiculous.
- 37:36Speaker 1: List of fifty shows better than the Michael Jordan of
- 37:38Speaker 1: Joe's Now, that's a ridiculous list. It's a ridiculous list. However,
- 37:41Speaker 1: Ricardo did tell me initially that that was his rule.
- 37:43Speaker 1: He might have broken it amongst on the list. So
- 37:46Speaker 1: far we're at thirty five. He's had Golden Girls on
- 37:48Speaker 1: the list. He's had the British Office on the list.
- 37:51Speaker 1: He's had the OZ, which I don't really argue with
- 37:53Speaker 1: him about is on the list. But Ricardo, where are
- 37:56Speaker 1: we going to go?
- 37:56Speaker 4: Is it number thirty five? That we're starting at number
- 37:59Speaker 4: thirty four? Thirty five?
- 38:00Speaker 7: Right?
- 38:01Speaker 5: Thirty five? Today? What do we got?
- 38:02Speaker 4: What's number thirty five?
- 38:04Speaker 5: At thirty five? Today? We're all we have the Queen's Gambit, ah.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Queen's Gambit, which is breaking your own rules there? Because
- 38:16Speaker 3: that is a one season show, is it not.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it's also about chess technicalities and follow ups.
- 38:22Speaker 5: That's what he's all about.
- 38:24Speaker 3: It is crazy, the tension that can be created versus
- 38:27Speaker 3: selling meth and playing chess and they're about the same.
- 38:30Speaker 10: Yeah, there's a great sports drama if you ask me.
- 38:32Speaker 10: Thirty four thirty four an HBO mini series. Life's too short.
- 38:38Speaker 4: This is all breaking your own rules.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Okay, this list is too long, definitely too long, and
- 38:42Speaker 3: I'm hard to save you?
- 38:43Speaker 5: Is he gip right past this one?
- 38:45Speaker 3: Because I've never heard of this show, never heard of
- 38:47Speaker 3: Number thirty four, Number thirty.
- 38:50Speaker 11: Three, number thirty three, Barry Wow, Barr Barry had good
- 38:56Speaker 11: Barry had good moments. I think Bill Hayter's one of
- 38:59Speaker 11: the most underrated people. But it's not better than Breaking.
- 39:01Speaker 5: Bad, Henry Winkler, Stuart. Stuart's a show about Rick Barry.
- 39:07Speaker 5: That's what I was thinking. Barry Melrose.
- 39:08Speaker 11: Actually, yes, thirty two Barry Bonds, thirty two Trailer Park Boys.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Who.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Did another show I've never heard of. This is where
- 39:19Speaker 3: I was worried. Is because there's too many shows and
- 39:22Speaker 3: I don't know and I don't know two of these,
- 39:24Speaker 3: and they can't be better than Breaking Bad.
- 39:26Speaker 5: Trailer Park is only because you know Breaking Bad. Yes,
- 39:29Speaker 5: Trailer Park.
- 39:30Speaker 10: Boys was in the same vein as the Office, Parks
- 39:33Speaker 10: and rec and it was really early. I want to say,
- 39:35Speaker 10: like two thousand that came out really definitely.
- 39:38Speaker 5: Have much time.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Like you love the Mockua.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Do you feel like if it was Izzy, I mean
- 39:42Speaker 1: just me, I feel like if it was in that vein,
- 39:43Speaker 1: I would have heard of it.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you would think, I loo they were kind
- 39:47Speaker 3: of overflowing on those, all right, last one for the day.
- 39:50Speaker 4: What do we got? Number thirty one?
- 39:51Speaker 5: Freaks and geeks?
- 39:55Speaker 6: Tell Hope you get so much hate on social media,
- 39:57Speaker 6: Ricardo for this, I really do.
- 40:00Speaker 5: Is that one about Yiannis?
- 40:03Speaker 3: It's about kids, it's about high school Stu gots also
- 40:07Speaker 3: a one season situation, was it not?
- 40:08Speaker 5: That's right?
- 40:10Speaker 3: So this this group of five just break in your
- 40:12Speaker 3: old rules.
- 40:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't like this list.
- 40:15Speaker 3: I know everybody's on pins and needles. Will get the
- 40:17Speaker 3: next five next week.
- 40:19Speaker 4: Have a good one.
