- 0:00Speaker 1: Track the Galaxy's Most Unpredictable Star Trek Podcast.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Do I still work here? Yeah? Can I do the intro?
- 0:26Speaker 2: I don't know. I was gonna do it, but then
- 0:27Speaker 2: I was like, I don't know, I don't know. I
- 0:31Speaker 2: don't know if that's allowed.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I think I think Scott will allow it.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Scott, let me give us some thought.
- 0:40Speaker 2: While you're thinking about it. Let me just say good
- 0:43Speaker 2: morning and welcome to check Cast, the Galaxy's Most Unpredictable
- 0:48Speaker 2: Star Trek Podcast. I'm one of your hosts, Dane Lombardo,
- 0:51Speaker 2: which me as always Daniel reyes On. The other guy,
- 0:54Speaker 2: the other guy, the other guy, Scott Strong, weird Bowders.
- 1:02Speaker 2: It's been a minute. It's been a minute since. I mean,
- 1:07Speaker 2: I know I popped in last week, but yeah.
- 1:09Speaker 3: It's been a long time. But our time is finally here.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Yeah all right. You know.
- 1:15Speaker 1: That took me a second.
- 1:16Speaker 3: I was like, wait, it's still early.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Indeed, it's early, and it's cold.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I slept with the windows open last night and I
- 1:26Speaker 2: woke up and uh yeah that was a yeah. I
- 1:31Speaker 2: was like, oh, you can get some different socks, some
- 1:34Speaker 2: better socks.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Right, it's still kind of warm around here. It's in
- 1:37Speaker 3: the upper sixties, it's about to hit seventy. So I'm
- 1:40Speaker 3: actually going I'll be on my motorcycle later today because
- 1:43Speaker 3: I got a Patriot Guard mission.
- 1:44Speaker 2: So oh so here's here's the thing. When you say, okay,
- 1:48Speaker 2: so I know you have a motorcycle, but I also
- 1:50Speaker 2: know that that that you bicycle lately.
- 1:53Speaker 3: This is true.
- 1:55Speaker 2: So sometimes when you're like, I'm gonna go for a
- 1:56Speaker 2: bike ride, I'm like, I don't know what he's about it. Yeah,
- 1:59Speaker 2: is he putting on is he putting on spandex or leather?
- 2:02Speaker 2: I don't know? And then and then I think I
- 2:05Speaker 2: don't care. I don't want to see either of those things.
- 2:08Speaker 1: You got some baseball cards in your spokes when you're around.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I'm like Jessica Alba's character in Dark Angel, she rode
- 2:14Speaker 3: a motorcycle and a bicycle.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I've always said, Scott is exactly like Jessica exactly.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I get them. I get them confused. From time to time.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I'll try online. I'll try to make the distinction. You know,
- 2:30Speaker 3: like if I if you see me bragging about a
- 2:32Speaker 3: fifteen mile bike ride, it's probably not on the Harley.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah, context gotta take contact.
- 2:42Speaker 1: You got the basket in it?
- 2:45Speaker 3: Yeah, right, doesn't like the rumble?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, fair enough? Oh what good that we're all together?
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, all right.
- 3:03Speaker 1: How was your guys this week?
- 3:06Speaker 2: Oh? It was long?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it was so.
- 3:11Speaker 2: It was so long. I was I was away at
- 3:12Speaker 2: training all last week, and like all the stuff that
- 3:17Speaker 2: I usually do was was just waiting for me Monday
- 3:20Speaker 2: when I when I got back. Except hey, now there's
- 3:24Speaker 2: twice as much of it, right.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah.
- 3:28Speaker 2: So it was definitely definitely catch up week. But it's fine,
- 3:31Speaker 2: it's good. Good.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I got a bad surprise on Friday night.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Oh.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I got a call from my bank and apparently they
- 3:42Speaker 1: were asking to see if I was trying to buy
- 3:46Speaker 1: Mexican food in New Jersey And I said no, I
- 3:52Speaker 1: mean half of that tracks yeah, half yeah, which my
- 3:58Speaker 1: argument is any food I eat is you know, you
- 4:01Speaker 1: know Joe Pombo lives in New Jersey. That's right, that's right.
- 4:05Speaker 2: He may have swiped your credit card. He cast Long Island.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I could have been New Jersey.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I mean I've been there, yeah, Jersey.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I was stationed at at Dick's at Fort Dick for
- 4:21Speaker 3: for a minute.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, yeah, Well all I have is my debit cards.
- 4:26Speaker 1: So now I don't have access to my money.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, we don't tomorrow and then get money.
- 4:33Speaker 2: And you need you need access to your money, you
- 4:36Speaker 2: would think. So Ferengi is not a Ferengi without his money,
- 4:39Speaker 2: that's right, without his last is that one of the rules.
- 4:42Speaker 2: If it's not, probably it should be.
- 4:45Speaker 1: It should be.
- 4:47Speaker 2: But you know, we talked, we talked ship, We talked
- 4:50Speaker 2: ship about New Jersey. But New Jersey really is both
- 4:55Speaker 2: ends of the spectrum. Like New Jersey is a big place.
- 5:00Speaker 2: One end it's well, it's literally the worst place in
- 5:05Speaker 2: the world and it's the nicest place in the world
- 5:08Speaker 2: all at the same time.
- 5:10Speaker 1: So what's the nice part is the well.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean the shore. The Jersey Shore is not well,
- 5:16Speaker 2: that's the other thing. There's parts of the Jersey Shore
- 5:19Speaker 2: that are that are nice and the parts that aren't.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And and Atlantic City is like everything all rolled into
- 5:25Speaker 2: into one. You know, Atlantic City. You got the you
- 5:28Speaker 2: got the beach, it's nice. It's the boardwalk it's nice.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You got casinos, it's nice. The next block over is
- 5:34Speaker 2: like bars, The next block next block over is strip clubs,
- 5:39Speaker 2: and the rest and the rest of it is like
- 5:40Speaker 2: Gotham City.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Right, which New Jersey is the inspiration from Gotham?
- 5:48Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Welcome to Jersey Cast. Most Unpredictable New
- 5:53Speaker 2: Jersey Podcast.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Wasn't Restutant from New Jersey or is that what his name?
- 6:00Speaker 3: The time Traveler from Next Gen.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Berlin Half rast music was that it? Yeah?
- 6:06Speaker 3: Yeah, wasn't he from New I think he was from
- 6:08Speaker 3: New Jersey?
- 6:09Speaker 2: He was? He was from New Jersey And the New
- 6:12Speaker 2: Jersey Shore is not good? Who said Bronson? Come on?
- 6:16Speaker 2: There are parts of the Jersey Shore that are very nice.
- 6:19Speaker 2: They are parts, and then there are parts that are
- 6:21Speaker 2: on MTV.
- 6:23Speaker 3: He's not I was gonna say, he's not talking about
- 6:24Speaker 3: the show, is he. That's a show, right, the Jersey
- 6:28Speaker 3: Shore they're talking about.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that was s Yeah, never seen it. I'm aware
- 6:33Speaker 2: of it, but yeah, never never seen a single episode.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I've seen like clips, like just the little clips on
- 6:40Speaker 1: social media, but that's about it.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Snooky grew up about fifteen miles from where I am
- 6:45Speaker 2: right now. She's not New Jersey. Yeah, yeah, who but exactly?
- 6:52Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Move on, next segment, Okay, next segment.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Yeah, let's get to the news. Let's just get to
- 6:56Speaker 1: the news Star News.
- 7:02Speaker 3: And we write this down. Snooky from Jersey, Sure look
- 7:05Speaker 3: into all right.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Add that to your list. Yeah, so our first news
- 7:11Speaker 1: story comes to us from Red Shirts Always Die. And
- 7:14Speaker 1: apparently the hype is building around Star Trek Starfleet Academy
- 7:19Speaker 1: and they are already saying that Paul Gimoni's character is
- 7:23Speaker 1: going to be the best villain since Star Trek Picard.
- 7:29Speaker 2: So, okay, who was who is the villain in Star
- 7:33Speaker 2: Trek Pericards? That was so amazing that they're.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I think they're Yeah, Jarald said, Snooky is Nicole, now,
- 7:45Speaker 1: so that's great.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Cool.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Who's the character? What was the name of the the
- 7:53Speaker 1: lady that worked for the Changelings in season three?
- 7:58Speaker 3: Honey, buddy?
- 7:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, honey, that that's that's I guess that's who
- 8:03Speaker 1: they're must to be talking about.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, all right.
- 8:07Speaker 1: They also go on to say, you know, like Paul g.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Moneys as an Academy Award winning actor, so he may
- 8:14Speaker 1: be one of the best actors ever in Star Trek,
- 8:17Speaker 1: if not the best, which I feel like his shots
- 8:19Speaker 1: fired at uh Patrick Stewart.
- 8:22Speaker 3: But you know the amazing Spider Man two.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Well, that's true. As long as her exactly right for
- 8:29Speaker 1: the Ronosters suit, then I'll be happy. Oh yeah, but
- 8:34Speaker 1: I mean the Hepes buildings.
- 8:35Speaker 3: So I I think I'm in the in the minority here.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I'm not a big Paul g Mighty fan. Sure, I
- 8:44Speaker 3: think he's overrated. He was in my I've got maybe
- 8:50Speaker 3: two or three movies in my least favorite category, and
- 8:53Speaker 3: he was in one of them.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Oh, that's right, you don't like Sideways.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I don't like that here. I thought you were going
- 8:59Speaker 2: to say Plenty of the Apes two thousand and one
- 9:01Speaker 2: because he played he played an orangutan.
- 9:04Speaker 1: That's right.
- 9:04Speaker 3: He did.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Didn't know that, did you?
- 9:07Speaker 3: I didn't. I didn't. I mean and he like, Well,
- 9:11Speaker 3: that must have been easy for him and the makeup
- 9:12Speaker 3: artists because they didn't really have to do much.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Wow wow wow wow.
- 9:19Speaker 2: You know, I kind of take that as an insult
- 9:22Speaker 2: because Walgreens is called hold on.
- 9:29Speaker 1: That's great.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Hello, that's ready for Daniel Lombardo. That's all right, so
- 9:40Speaker 2: my prescriptions ready? Good?
- 9:43Speaker 3: All right, Daniel, you and I get to play the
- 9:46Speaker 3: guessie game. What's the prescription for anything? From hair loss medication?
- 9:55Speaker 2: Perhaps a little wow wow wow?
- 10:00Speaker 1: No, Dan, come on, it's trouble sleeping. I bet it's
- 10:02Speaker 1: something for that.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Okay, sure, yeah, it's the high blood pressure from all
- 10:08Speaker 2: the assholes in my life. That right.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Wow.
- 10:13Speaker 2: But I was going to say, I've been told in
- 10:15Speaker 2: the past that I resemble Paul Giamatti, So yeah, you do.
- 10:19Speaker 2: You just calling him ugly in front of me.
- 10:22Speaker 3: I didn't say he was ugly. I just said he
- 10:26Speaker 3: looks like.
- 10:26Speaker 2: An ring, looks like a Yeah, he's the most handsome
- 10:29Speaker 2: orangutan I've ever seen.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I agree.
- 10:32Speaker 1: All right, Well, since we we'll move on to the
- 10:36Speaker 1: next new start.
- 10:36Speaker 3: I'm not going to get a link the next ye.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Yes, So our.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Next new story comes to us from Cinnamon Blenn and
- 10:43Speaker 1: they recently did an interview with Michael Dorn aka Wharf
- 10:47Speaker 1: and he's said that for Star Trek Recard season three,
- 10:51Speaker 1: they were paid so much that they couldn't say no,
- 10:55Speaker 1: so basically confirming the reports that the the Rick's truck
- 11:00Speaker 1: was pulled up to each of their houses just a
- 11:03Speaker 1: ton of cat and said, yeah, you're gonna be in
- 11:07Speaker 1: this after all. So yeah, so they were paid a
- 11:09Speaker 1: lot of money. He did not say exactly how much
- 11:12Speaker 1: they were paid. He went on to say that he
- 11:14Speaker 1: just didn't want to be scowling in the background. He
- 11:17Speaker 1: wanted to have an arc, which he kind of did
- 11:19Speaker 1: with Rappie, and so he was happy about that. He
- 11:24Speaker 1: didn't just want to be, you know, angry and just
- 11:27Speaker 1: just to be there, although his character literally fell asleep
- 11:30Speaker 1: on the show.
- 11:30Speaker 3: So what what is this? Is this from an interview? Yeah,
- 11:37Speaker 3: this was from an interview, okay with with because that
- 11:43Speaker 3: was gonna be one of my recommendations was the Michael
- 11:45Speaker 3: Doran interview, but it was from the podcast Inside of You.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, that's where that's from.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, yeah, okay, yeah, if you haven't if you
- 11:54Speaker 3: haven't heard it or you don't know about it. Michael Rosenbaum,
- 11:57Speaker 3: who played Lex Luthor on Smallville, does a podcast called
- 12:01Speaker 3: Inside of You, and he interviews a lot of I
- 12:05Speaker 3: would call I would say b list celebrities. Yeah, going
- 12:10Speaker 3: going into a list celebrities, a lot of them from
- 12:14Speaker 3: the science fiction, fantasy, comic book world.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Uh and yeah, very clearly meets them at conventions and says, hey,
- 12:21Speaker 1: you want to be on the show.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Right right? Yeah? And uh. His interview sort of form
- 12:27Speaker 3: is a little bit unique. It's a little different so
- 12:31Speaker 3: he doesn't necessarily ask, you know, tell me all about wharf.
- 12:34Speaker 3: He's mostly telling me all about yourself and your process
- 12:37Speaker 3: and your childhood and like that. So the Michael Dornan
- 12:40Speaker 3: interview was amazing. I really liked it. So check it out.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Inside of You with the Michael Rosenbaum.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it was really good.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Inside of You.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Yes, it's a little yeah, it's it's there's a joke there.
- 12:55Speaker 3: He's trying to get inside of you.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Okay, and then we got a few other news stories,
- 12:59Speaker 1: but these are pretty rapid fire, so we'll go through
- 13:01Speaker 1: real quick. Accordion Trek, Yeah, accordiantrekmovie dot com. Season four
- 13:07Speaker 1: of Lower Decks is right now on YouTube and Pluto TV.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Believe that's just in the US to get you caught
- 13:14Speaker 1: up because the season is going to begin at the
- 13:17Speaker 1: end of the month. So yeah, Season four of Lower
- 13:21Speaker 1: Decks is there for you guys to watch. Another thing
- 13:24Speaker 1: coming out also, this is from star Trek dot Com
- 13:27Speaker 1: if you live in the southern California area. Starting next
- 13:31Speaker 1: April April twenty fifth through May eighteenth, at Universal Studios,
- 13:36Speaker 1: they're going to have a Star Trek Fanfast Night. It's
- 13:39Speaker 1: part of the FanFest series. So they're gonna have a
- 13:42Speaker 1: display from Star Trek there. You'll get to be able
- 13:45Speaker 1: to walk on the Enterprise d Bridge from Star Trek
- 13:49Speaker 1: card season three.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Oh still, yeah, that'd be amazing.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Yeah. So I don't know if it's the full bridge
- 13:56Speaker 1: or just like parts of it, but that'll be part
- 13:59Speaker 1: of the display there. So that's pretty cool. Oh Dan
- 14:02Speaker 1: went away. Oh oh that is back.
- 14:06Speaker 2: All right, No, I'm good. Sometimes I just need a minute.
- 14:10Speaker 1: That's true.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Ye has to make some trusts.
- 14:12Speaker 1: And then our last news story comes to us from
- 14:14Speaker 1: trekmovie dot com and uh, there's going to be a
- 14:18Speaker 1: new Star Trek attraction and hotel rooms coming to a
- 14:22Speaker 1: Turkish theme park in twenty twenty five. So yeah, book
- 14:27Speaker 1: your tickets to is it at Laia Turkey.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Trek Cast Turkey twenty twenty five.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Nah, I don't know. I mean, don't hold your breath. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 2: it was like, excuse me, it was like fifteen years ago.
- 14:43Speaker 2: That's some some prints in the Middle East. I can't
- 14:47Speaker 2: remember what country, but they were supposed to build a
- 14:52Speaker 2: Star Trek hotel or something. I mean, did that ever happen?
- 14:56Speaker 2: I don't, I don't know.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I know there's a roller coaster in German Many a
- 15:00Speaker 1: Star Trek roller coaster. Okay, and and I know that
- 15:04Speaker 1: was it.
- 15:04Speaker 4: The King of Jordan was yes, yes, yeah, yeah, I
- 15:11Speaker 4: don't know. I don't Yeah, I feel like we would
- 15:14Speaker 4: have heard, you would think, but this is part of
- 15:17Speaker 4: a theme park in Turkey. They're going to be having
- 15:21Speaker 4: an overall Nickelodeon land, so Star Trek Wild Galaxy will
- 15:27Speaker 4: be part of it, and they will have a looks
- 15:32Speaker 4: like a hotel in the theme of Star Trek Prodigy.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Oh so that's kind of interesting.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so they're going to cancel it.
- 15:44Speaker 1: You know, you can only watch Netflix in their hotel.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's kind of a like is.
- 15:52Speaker 3: This like an official lightly license kind of like you
- 16:00Speaker 3: know what I'm saying.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I mean, I would think so, I mean, they're not
- 16:04Speaker 1: gonna make this announcement, you know, unless they're trying to say, hey, CBS,
- 16:09Speaker 1: go see these guys.
- 16:11Speaker 3: But okay, I.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Mean I don't know. In Russia. In Russia right now,
- 16:15Speaker 2: they have those McDonald's that aren't McDonald's and all that.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Well, yeah, there there's a lot of like you know,
- 16:26Speaker 3: international like you know, copyright law and stuff. That's not
- 16:29Speaker 3: really you know, adhere to Yeah, I've I've actually seen Turkey.
- 16:38Speaker 3: I've never been in Turkey, but I've seen it from
- 16:41Speaker 3: a from across a bridge.
- 16:43Speaker 2: All right, so you're like an expert.
- 16:46Speaker 5: Yeah, if you have any if you've had if you
- 16:50Speaker 5: have any Turkey related questions, email, I've laid eyes on it.
- 16:57Speaker 2: And and even if they're only slightly Turkey related, if
- 17:00Speaker 2: a Turkish.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Right, yeah, the Turkish. If you have a delight about Turkey.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Yeah, whatever, But here's here's the walk ups for the
- 17:14Speaker 3: hotel rooms and they look pretty nice.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Yeah that's that's amazing. What a I can make for
- 17:20Speaker 1: these records? Right, yeah, I doubt they'll be this cool?
- 17:25Speaker 3: Oh I could think of?
- 17:26Speaker 2: Is that hope?
- 17:31Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 17:31Speaker 2: No, I was just saying the AI renderings. I mean
- 17:33Speaker 2: you can't believe anything.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Nothing at all is real until you're there yourself.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Jesus wants to know Turkey tastes like chicken. Uh not really,
- 17:47Speaker 1: it's different.
- 17:48Speaker 3: It's the same but different.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Yeah that's right.
- 17:54Speaker 1: But yeah, you guys wanna are we gonna go to
- 17:56Speaker 1: Turkey to do a show and hang out in the hotel.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Let to do it? Yeah? No, wait, is Turkey on
- 18:04Speaker 3: the list of places that Americans can should go?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Oh, I don't know.
- 18:10Speaker 2: I think it's just just below New.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Jersey, but surprisingly just above South Dakota. All right, well
- 18:24Speaker 1: that's that's all the news stories so there. Yeah, all right,
- 18:30Speaker 1: well then let's get into our main topic.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Fun will now comment, fin will now commence party. Spot
- 18:42Speaker 3: is in the house. Look at that, nobody, everybody have
- 18:46Speaker 3: a logical time.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Oh boy, that sounds like a blast.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Trivia questions and three D chests and all that.
- 18:59Speaker 1: All right for our main topic, we asked you guys
- 19:03Speaker 1: to send us your most unhinged Star Trek questions. We
- 19:07Speaker 1: got this idea of during a convention with the Captain's
- 19:11Speaker 1: Quadrant in uh at the convention that Dan and I
- 19:15Speaker 1: were at too, and did that and that was a
- 19:17Speaker 1: lot of fun doing that.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we're doing it. We're doing a little different.
- 19:21Speaker 1: A little bit different. Yeah yeah, yeah, we're gonna we're
- 19:23Speaker 1: gonna we're gonna use chat GBT into this as well.
- 19:27Speaker 1: So it's gonna be you.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Guys went to a trek cask Star Trek convention.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Yeah you were, Yeah, we're nerds' You were on a
- 19:34Speaker 2: cruise or something, yeah, yeah, that's right, your little Captain's hat.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Running.
- 19:41Speaker 2: But but yeah, two tables down from us was Captain's Quadrant.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, another Star Trek podcast. You guys should definitely
- 19:51Speaker 2: check it out. Check those guys out. But we're paling
- 19:54Speaker 2: around with them. Uh. Over the weekend we went to
- 19:57Speaker 2: their panel and they do did they what do they
- 19:59Speaker 2: call it, stupid Star Trek questions or something like that. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:03Speaker 2: they called stupid Star Trek questions. So they take questions
- 20:06Speaker 2: from the audience, stupid Star Trek questions, and then they answer,
- 20:09Speaker 2: and then they answer them. Sometimes they do it seriously.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Sometimes it's funny. They were taking participation from the audience.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I think we answered a couple of stupid questions for
- 20:19Speaker 2: them as audience members. But what's up?
- 20:25Speaker 1: You had like a legal theory question that was really good?
- 20:28Speaker 1: You stump the lawyer?
- 20:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't.
- 20:29Speaker 2: I don't remember what the question was, but uh, I
- 20:32Speaker 2: don't remember either. Oh it was how come on Star Trek,
- 20:36Speaker 2: nobody ever gets a real lawyer. They get they get
- 20:40Speaker 2: like the first officers.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, not a jag officer.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Yes, And I said, it's a it's a legal theory.
- 20:49Speaker 2: If they're if they're found not guilty, great double jeopardy
- 20:54Speaker 2: attaches they can't be tried again. If they're found guilty.
- 20:58Speaker 2: They request another trial and say it was ineffective counsel.
- 21:02Speaker 2: I mean, this guy's not even a lawyer. He just
- 21:04Speaker 2: runs the ship when the captain's on vacation. So and
- 21:08Speaker 2: there was a lawyer behind us, he answered, He asked
- 21:11Speaker 2: the question, and then he was like, yeah, I don't know,
- 21:13Speaker 2: I didn't think of that. Yeah, but it was a
- 21:16Speaker 2: fun it was a fun panel. Joe reached out to
- 21:20Speaker 2: me this morning. He thought we were just taking their idea, right,
- 21:24Speaker 2: and I said, I said, no, no, no, no, no, we're
- 21:26Speaker 2: having AI answer the questions. And then I quickly hopped
- 21:30Speaker 2: on the phone. I called trek Cast Division I Legal Affairs,
- 21:34Speaker 2: just to check with them, make sure we weren't infringing
- 21:37Speaker 2: on anyone's intellectual properties. And you know, Daniel, I gotta say,
- 21:42Speaker 2: it's a good thing we have them on retainers, true,
- 21:46Speaker 2: instead of hourly rate, because the hourly rate call calling
- 21:49Speaker 2: your attorney at nine thirty in the morning on a
- 21:51Speaker 2: Sunday probably probably would have bankrupted the show at least.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Yeah. I spoke to Mark Gergis this morning about it too.
- 22:01Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know who that is.
- 22:03Speaker 3: He's the one that defended Scott Peterson. He's like attorney
- 22:07Speaker 3: to the stars and out in LA. His integrity is.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I thought we were represented by Matt Murdoch.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Well we've got I mean, Trek Cass is so huge.
- 22:21Speaker 3: It's not just attorney. I asked, no offense, guys, but
- 22:25Speaker 3: I got to get my own lawyer.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I asked. I asked Matt and he said he's
- 22:30Speaker 2: never seen the show.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Yeah, he said, all right, all right, We've got a
- 22:37Speaker 1: whole bunch of questions. People really went lued.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Oh boy, I loved it. I was reading some of
- 22:43Speaker 3: these and yeah, unglued.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Definitely the word.
- 22:48Speaker 1: So let's go with this first one. You start easy.
- 22:53Speaker 1: This is from Joel Facebook and he says, why do
- 22:56Speaker 1: starships in deep space always encounter each other on the
- 23:00Speaker 1: same plane and right side up? So we are asking
- 23:06Speaker 1: chat GBT. Let me pull up the chat GBT so
- 23:10Speaker 1: you guys can look at this as I pull them up.
- 23:13Speaker 1: And so I've said it to answer Startrek questions. It
- 23:17Speaker 1: understands and it's ready to go, and its answer is
- 23:21Speaker 1: this is largely cinematic convention to maintain visual consistency and
- 23:26Speaker 1: make space battles interactions easier to follow for viewers.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Well, no, duh, right, right right.
- 23:34Speaker 1: In reality, space has no up and down, but aligning
- 23:37Speaker 1: ship's on the same plane helps the audience understand spatial relationships.
- 23:41Speaker 1: So there you go.
- 23:43Speaker 3: You know, I would say it's sort of akin to
- 23:45Speaker 3: am I allowed to also answer the question.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we've talked about this. We've talked about this before.
- 23:53Speaker 3: But in this in the same way that Okay, you
- 23:56Speaker 3: look at like the ocean, but you also look at
- 23:58Speaker 3: the Milky Way galaxy. The Milky Way Galaxy is sort
- 24:01Speaker 3: of flat ish, okay. And if there's a universal consensus
- 24:05Speaker 3: on which way is north and which way south, if
- 24:09Speaker 3: Starfleet just says, okay, all of our ships are going
- 24:12Speaker 3: to point, you know, are gonna have their dorsal fin
- 24:15Speaker 3: point in this direction, then then the the the the
- 24:21Speaker 3: other axis is sort of universal. So now now I'm
- 24:26Speaker 3: sure there's there's Yeah, I'm sure the Milky Way Galaxy
- 24:29Speaker 3: is you know, a dozens and dozens of miles thick,
- 24:33Speaker 3: but it's it's mostly a large disc. So that's sort
- 24:38Speaker 3: of my that's my head canon about it.
- 24:40Speaker 2: So my head My head canon is that there is
- 24:43Speaker 2: a procedure for everything. Okay, there is probably in the Federation,
- 24:50Speaker 2: there is a Federation standard that this is up in
- 24:53Speaker 2: the galaxy, and Federation starships will orient their ships so
- 25:00Speaker 2: that they are the top of the ship is facing
- 25:03Speaker 2: the top of the galaxy. Now when they travel to
- 25:09Speaker 2: when they enter Klingon space, there's probably a protocol if
- 25:14Speaker 2: if kling On space recognizes the same up, they leave
- 25:18Speaker 2: the ship oriented the same way it is if they
- 25:21Speaker 2: understand that, okay, in Klingon space, up is the other way.
- 25:25Speaker 2: So Wesley invert the ship and they and they invert
- 25:28Speaker 2: the ship. There's probably a protocol that when when you
- 25:32Speaker 2: come upon a ship of unknown origin, you attempt to
- 25:37Speaker 2: determine which side of the ship is the top, and
- 25:40Speaker 2: then you orient your ship so that you're facing the
- 25:45Speaker 2: same way. There's a procedure. That's got to be a
- 25:47Speaker 2: procedure forever.
- 25:48Speaker 3: So I can just imagine two ships coming up like, oh,
- 25:52Speaker 3: I'm gonna go like this, Oh no, no, I'm going to
- 25:54Speaker 3: go no, no, okay, you stay still and I'll rotate.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know what, you know what could that
- 26:02Speaker 2: be taken as a threat? Could one of the captains
- 26:04Speaker 2: be like, they're taking evasive maneuvers.
- 26:06Speaker 1: They yeah, I was gonna go with something similar that.
- 26:11Speaker 1: You know, they often spot each other from far away
- 26:14Speaker 1: with long en scants, right, so from there they're like, okay,
- 26:17Speaker 1: well he's he's at this level and I'm in here,
- 26:19Speaker 1: and then they both kind of rotate to meet.
- 26:22Speaker 2: But yeah, or.
- 26:23Speaker 3: You have like the ops like nudging the navigator going
- 26:26Speaker 3: their warping cells are upside down.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, how embarrassing what they did in Discovery. They
- 26:35Speaker 1: did do at one point where ships met at different planes,
- 26:38Speaker 1: and I think in the in one of the first
- 26:40Speaker 1: episodes they finally answered that question. So yeah, yeah, we
- 26:46Speaker 1: did just get a question from Daryl in our in
- 26:49Speaker 1: our group chat. So let's put his question in a
- 26:52Speaker 1: chat GBT, which is which star Trek actor was in
- 26:56Speaker 1: an issue of Playbood magazine showing off like a banizoid wedding.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Oh so let's see that's Marina Sertis. So yeah, okay.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Excuse me, I'll be right back.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Oh wow, yeah Marina, Yeah, she was Poto in nineteen
- 27:17Speaker 1: ninety one. So there you got me.
- 27:20Speaker 3: I did not know that, Okay, yeah, continue, I don't.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Think there's much more discussions for that. Pretty straightforward. Okay,
- 27:33Speaker 1: all right, Our next question comes to us from Jim
- 27:35Speaker 1: on Facebook, and he's just gonna go right to the
- 27:38Speaker 1: to the question everyone wants to know. In the Holiday,
- 27:41Speaker 1: could a person actually have sex with one of the
- 27:43Speaker 1: holographic characters? So let's see what chaib says about that. Yes,
- 27:50Speaker 1: a person can engage in physical interactions, including sex, with
- 27:54Speaker 1: a holographic character in the holiday. The holiday uses force
- 27:57Speaker 1: fields and replicator technology to great tactile interactive experiences. Has
- 28:04Speaker 1: in several Star Trek episodes, though the ethical and psychological
- 28:09Speaker 1: consequences of such encounters are occasionally addressed.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Yeah, aren't they touch on that on lower decks, like
- 28:19Speaker 3: somebody had to clean out the yes, the mechanic matter
- 28:25Speaker 3: filter or whatever. But yeah, yeah, the same thing if
- 28:30Speaker 3: you like, have to take a poo or you eat
- 28:33Speaker 3: or you know, it's yeah, yeah, cool, cool. One man's
- 28:46Speaker 3: something can be another man's uh croissant. Yeah, I'm sorry,
- 28:53Speaker 3: I you know, I don't even know why I thought
- 28:55Speaker 3: of that part of all tens of billions of food
- 28:58Speaker 3: products out there, that's that's the one that entered my mind.
- 29:01Speaker 1: M okay, uh so God the questions we got with this.
- 29:09Speaker 1: All right, So this is from Holly on Instagram, and
- 29:13Speaker 1: she wants to know if Data is anatomically correct. Is
- 29:16Speaker 1: his forearm removable? And does that mean his penis it's
- 29:19Speaker 1: also removable?
- 29:22Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 29:23Speaker 1: Yeah, to which, well, it is established the star trick.
- 29:27Speaker 1: The next generation Data is fully functional. There is no
- 29:33Speaker 1: canonical information suggesting that his genitalia, like his forearm, is removable.
- 29:38Speaker 1: His party parts were designed by doctor Sung to mimic
- 29:43Speaker 1: human function, but the specifics of removable parts beyond his
- 29:47Speaker 1: limbs are not explored in this series.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Okay, I got one follow up question, Sure is Data circumcised?
- 29:57Speaker 1: Ah?
- 30:02Speaker 3: I think to answer that question, you'd have to answer the.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Question, was you. I wasn't asking you, I was asking
- 30:08Speaker 2: the robot. Thank you very much.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Oh no, well, Daniel, let's see the show never addresses
- 30:20Speaker 1: whether Data is circumcised or not. Since he's an android,
- 30:24Speaker 1: the android designer made him resemble a human male, but
- 30:29Speaker 1: the details of his anatomy are have been a personal
- 30:33Speaker 1: choice of the creator.
- 30:34Speaker 3: So Nan soon if he's circumcised.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait didn't you say
- 30:43Speaker 2: Denise Crosby is going to be at your your comic
- 30:47Speaker 2: con id. Oh, I gotta ask her, you gotta ask her?
- 30:55Speaker 3: Hello, missus. Crosby Scott from the Trek Cast.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Chrome Donut almost says there's a new song name Detachable
- 31:04Speaker 1: Android Penis. Honestly, it'd be a great metal band name too.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Oh man, oh boy.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, that's all right. Let's let's tune it down
- 31:20Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Uh.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Jim guy from Instagram has got a pretty good question.
- 31:25Speaker 2: He wants to talk.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Come. The Universal Translator makes it possible for everyone to
- 31:29Speaker 1: understand English, but when the Klingons speak to Klingons, it
- 31:32Speaker 1: doesn't translate it. So the Universal Translator is designed to
- 31:40Speaker 1: translate language based on context and tent and user preference,
- 31:45Speaker 1: but some individuals, like Klingons, may choose to speak their
- 31:48Speaker 1: native language. For cultural reasons. Klingon's words often are left
- 31:53Speaker 1: untranslated to maintain their distinctiveness, honor, and cultural identity, especially
- 31:59Speaker 1: in situation where the speaker knows the listeners understand the
- 32:02Speaker 1: language huh okay. In storyline, this also helps prevent preserve
- 32:08Speaker 1: the flavor and uniqueness of alien cultures for viewers.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no good answer.
- 32:16Speaker 1: There's no good answer. I mean, I guess I would
- 32:20Speaker 1: equate it to like when I drop a Spanish word
- 32:22Speaker 1: every now and then. That's the closest it would be.
- 32:25Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 32:31Speaker 1: See almost a d biblioteca.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Where where is the library?
- 32:39Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, where's the library? Okay?
- 32:43Speaker 2: Next one from how do you how do you say
- 32:45Speaker 2: your library has no honor? Oh? Man, I don't know.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Honor in Spanish. Yeah, it's okay, Yeah, it's gonna bother me,
- 32:57Speaker 1: I'll yeah, it's early, all right. Our next question comes
- 33:04Speaker 1: to is from Jasper from Facebook. He says, if Vulcans
- 33:08Speaker 1: have no emotions, why do they marry? Why not just
- 33:11Speaker 1: hook up every seven years? Good question? Hmm, that's a
- 33:15Speaker 1: good question.
- 33:16Speaker 2: He says.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Vulcans view marriages as a logical social institution for stability, family,
- 33:23Speaker 1: and continuity of their species, not just for emotional connection.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Vulcan marriages are often arranged in childhood as part of
- 33:31Speaker 1: their cultural tradition, ensuring the structured relationships when pon far occurs.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Though they suppress emotions, Vulcan acknowledge the importance of strong bonds, partnerships,
- 33:43Speaker 1: and even approaching marriage with logic rather than passion.
- 33:48Speaker 2: So yeah, I think there's a mistake in the question
- 33:51Speaker 2: because it assumes the vulcans have no emotions, and that's
- 33:53Speaker 2: not true. Correct, They do have emotions, they just suppress them.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a common misnomer.
- 34:00Speaker 1: It is. All right, we got just we're gonna do
- 34:04Speaker 1: a couple more. We got this one from uh Thomas
- 34:09Speaker 1: from Facebook and he says, of all the planets visited,
- 34:13Speaker 1: why is the horta the only silicon based life form encountered?
- 34:18Speaker 1: So so, according to chat GBT, the rarity of silicon
- 34:24Speaker 1: based life forms like the horta may reflect the difficulties
- 34:28Speaker 1: of silicon based biology evolving in the same way as
- 34:32Speaker 1: carbon based life forms in the galaxy. Silicon based life
- 34:36Speaker 1: requires a very specific environment, conditions which are less common
- 34:39Speaker 1: in the galaxy, limitating encounters with such species.
- 34:43Speaker 3: So this datus penis of silicon based life form.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I mean it could be. It very well could be.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Do you guys want to expand on this or.
- 34:56Speaker 3: I'm got datas No, I don't want to expand on that.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Are you sure, Scott?
- 35:03Speaker 2: All right?
- 35:04Speaker 3: Just because I brought it up?
- 35:05Speaker 1: Yeah, let's do that. This is the last one. So
- 35:11Speaker 1: this is from Max from Instagram and he's asking the
- 35:13Speaker 1: real question, who's the horniest character in Trek and uh? So,
- 35:18Speaker 1: here we go. Several characters in structric have been depicted
- 35:22Speaker 1: with strong romantic and sexual drives, but few stand out
- 35:26Speaker 1: Captain James D. Kirk, William Riker, and jad Zia.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Dax jad Za third place.
- 35:36Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, okay, who else would you throw on
- 35:41Speaker 1: that list?
- 35:42Speaker 2: I mean definitely Quark.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Yeah that's true, Nelix.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I think the case can be made for Odo.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Yeah. There was an entire season where he was like,
- 35:52Speaker 2: let's go to my room and link.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Yeah, lady, yeah, yeah, he had been alone for a
- 35:59Speaker 1: long time.
- 36:00Speaker 2: She's like, well, let's talk about the galaxy. He's like, no, let's.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Think Lincoln time, baby.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Link.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I got a great LinkedIn and it's not too cagle.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Oh boy, that was the last one that was sent in.
- 36:22Speaker 1: There's a ton of them.
- 36:24Speaker 3: There was a hundred.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. We posted this in a few different groups
- 36:29Speaker 1: and social media, and.
- 36:30Speaker 3: There's people did not disappoint.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Yeah, so and if you didn't, if we didn't read
- 36:37Speaker 3: yours on air, feel free to answer your own questions
- 36:40Speaker 3: in in the in the uh in the facebook groups. Yeah,
- 36:44Speaker 3: they were hilarious to read, all.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Right, you gotta ask, you gotta ask one more.
- 36:50Speaker 3: You won't.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Okay, what do you want?
- 36:52Speaker 2: Is is Trek Cast the Galaxy's most unpredictable Star Trek podcast?
- 37:00Speaker 3: Okay, let's see what it says chat GPT is aware
- 37:08Speaker 3: of teck Cast.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Trick Cast is often described as a fun and unpredictable
- 37:13Speaker 1: Star Trek podcast, known for their informational style, humor, and
- 37:16Speaker 1: lively discussions. Its hosts frequently engage in playful banter, shared
- 37:21Speaker 1: unique perspective, and explore Star Trek's various topics, which contributes
- 37:26Speaker 1: to its unpredictability. However, whether they're the lows unpredicted is subjective.
- 37:32Speaker 1: There are many Star Trek podcasts with different formats and
- 37:34Speaker 1: styles that appeal to various audiences.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Oh wow, Wow, why do you lie?
- 37:42Speaker 3: I'm gonna have I'm gonna have a chat with Vicky.
- 37:45Speaker 3: That's what I call chat. We have conversations. I'm gonna
- 37:48Speaker 3: have a chat with her later today.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Well, I put why do you lie? Chat GPT, to
- 37:52Speaker 1: which it says, I apologize if my response didn't meet
- 37:55Speaker 1: your expectations. I am able to right accurate and helpful information,
- 38:01Speaker 1: but I might interpret your questions differently. Sometimes so there
- 38:06Speaker 1: you go.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Wow.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Yeah, well this is how we get skynet.
- 38:12Speaker 6: It just doesn't understand, right, all right, I got I
- 38:15Speaker 6: got another one.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, is Chad wrong?
- 38:20Speaker 1: Oh?
- 38:24Speaker 2: M hm?
- 38:25Speaker 1: Is Chad wrong? Here we go without more context about
- 38:29Speaker 1: who Chad is and the specifics of the situation or
- 38:32Speaker 1: statement you're referring to, it's hard to be a definitive answer.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fine.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Yeah, so there you go. Chad GBT is fun. But yeah,
- 38:48Speaker 1: there you go.
- 38:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 38:50Speaker 1: All right, cool, well we should uh, we should get
- 38:53Speaker 1: to our listener feedback.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Cool listener feedback.
- 39:02Speaker 1: All right, so we got listener feedback. Dan, did you
- 39:07Speaker 1: have something you wanted to read for listener feedback?
- 39:11Speaker 2: Did I have something? No? Nothing, I don't have anything.
- 39:14Speaker 1: I thought we had that thing we were talking about
- 39:16Speaker 1: from Reddit.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Oh I thought you were going to read it.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Oh I thought you were going to read wrote Dan.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Do you want to read this?
- 39:22Speaker 2: Oh? All right, hold on, okay, I would have to
- 39:25Speaker 2: pull it up. Okay, so this is from Reddit? Yeah?
- 39:30Speaker 1: The am I the asshole?
- 39:32Speaker 2: Am I the asshole?
- 39:33Speaker 3: So?
- 39:33Speaker 2: Am I the asshole? For wanting to name my son
- 39:35Speaker 2: after a Star Trek character? I thought.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Real quick let's explain what this is. In case people
- 39:42Speaker 1: don't know Reddit, there's a subreddit called am I the Asshole?
- 39:47Speaker 1: Where people put on their scenarios in their life. They
- 39:50Speaker 1: kind of explain what's going on, and then they leave
- 39:53Speaker 1: it up to the Internet to decide whether or not
- 39:56Speaker 1: they are the asshole in that situation.
- 39:58Speaker 3: What could possibly go wrong?
- 40:00Speaker 2: You know?
- 40:00Speaker 1: Letting strangers judge you, of course is fine?
- 40:04Speaker 2: Oh, all right, all right? Am I the asshole? For
- 40:07Speaker 2: wanting to name my son after a Star Trek character.
- 40:10Speaker 2: I'm a thirty three year old female. I'm seven months
- 40:13Speaker 2: pregnant with our son, who doesn't have a name yet.
- 40:16Speaker 2: I also like Star Trek, especially Deep Space nine, which
- 40:19Speaker 2: I've started rewatching recently. If you are familiar with the series,
- 40:22Speaker 2: you will certainly remember doctor Julian but Sheer. I've always
- 40:25Speaker 2: thought Julian is a pretty name, but I'd forgotten about
- 40:28Speaker 2: it before my rewatch. So when I heard it again,
- 40:30Speaker 2: I texted to my husband asking his opinion about the name.
- 40:34Speaker 2: He loved it, so for a while we both wanted
- 40:36Speaker 2: to name our son Julian. I didn't tell him where
- 40:39Speaker 2: I got the name. We've been doing that since I
- 40:42Speaker 2: found out I was pregnant, texting each other names we've
- 40:45Speaker 2: heard somewhere to read or or read or something, and
- 40:49Speaker 2: we didn't always specify where we heard it. None of
- 40:52Speaker 2: the names, sorry, none of the names was something we
- 40:57Speaker 2: both liked. That's clunky until Julian. Yesterday was watching Deep
- 41:02Speaker 2: Space nine again while my husband was home. He happened
- 41:05Speaker 2: to pass by when the name Julian was set on screen.
- 41:08Speaker 2: He stopped and asked me if this is where I
- 41:10Speaker 2: got the name. I said yes. He said, we can't
- 41:12Speaker 2: name our son Julian. I asked why. He said he
- 41:15Speaker 2: loved it. He said, it's weird to name a child
- 41:19Speaker 2: after a character, and we'll be assholes if we do
- 41:22Speaker 2: that to our son. I said that I just liked
- 41:25Speaker 2: the name, as did he until now, and the fact
- 41:30Speaker 2: that it's a Star Trek character name is just a bonus.
- 41:33Speaker 2: He says. People will laugh or make fun of our
- 41:35Speaker 2: son if they find out. I say, no, one is
- 41:38Speaker 2: entitled to know the backstory of his name. It's a
- 41:41Speaker 2: name we like and that's it. He said, that's not
- 41:44Speaker 2: something people do. So I suggested to come here and
- 41:48Speaker 2: see what people think. So thoughts, what do you guys think?
- 41:52Speaker 3: Well, I've said it on the show before. My oldest
- 41:55Speaker 3: son's middle name is riiker R y k e R,
- 42:00Speaker 3: and we had two reasons for naming him that his
- 42:03Speaker 3: middle name. It's number one, it's a German derivative of Richard,
- 42:10Speaker 3: which is my late father's name. And number two, my
- 42:14Speaker 3: favorite character in Star Trek is Commander Riker, and my
- 42:18Speaker 3: wife and I both liked the idea. We liked you know,
- 42:24Speaker 3: it kind of has a double meaning. And my thoughts
- 42:26Speaker 3: are absolutely, you're not an asshole for wanting to name
- 42:29Speaker 3: your kid after something you like. I mean, that's how
- 42:31Speaker 3: a lot of people come up with names in the
- 42:32Speaker 3: first place. They hear it, they like it. They you know,
- 42:36Speaker 3: that's fine. And Julian is not. You know, it's a name,
- 42:43Speaker 3: and it's it's also it's a human name. It's not
- 42:46Speaker 3: you know, you're not naming your kid Martak, you know,
- 42:49Speaker 3: or Odo or Neelix. Yeah, it's it's Julian, and it's
- 42:53Speaker 3: a perfectly fine name. You have a perfectly fine reason
- 42:56Speaker 3: for naming your child Julian. I think it's sweet and
- 42:59Speaker 3: I'm all for it.
- 43:01Speaker 2: I I agree because it's a because it's a real name.
- 43:04Speaker 2: If you were naming your kid Ducat or DeMar or.
- 43:10Speaker 3: What about what if you wanted to name your daughter
- 43:13Speaker 3: like jud Za.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Or well, here's the thing I thought about. I thought
- 43:19Speaker 2: about jud Zy years ago, before I was working. I
- 43:22Speaker 2: remember thinking, what a beautiful name that is. I would
- 43:24Speaker 2: I would love to I would love to name a
- 43:26Speaker 2: little girl jud Zya.
- 43:27Speaker 3: If we had had a girl, that name was on
- 43:29Speaker 3: the list.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Yeah, looking back, you know, I don't know, mm hmm,
- 43:38Speaker 2: I don't I don't know because a little less Galen.
- 43:45Speaker 2: I grew up in Poughkeepsie, and there was a guy
- 43:48Speaker 2: in the city of Poughkeepsie who would get arrested frequently.
- 43:51Speaker 2: So his name was in the newspaper. And I don't
- 43:54Speaker 2: remember his last name, but I remember his first name.
- 43:59Speaker 2: All one word was Lando Kelrisian.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Nah.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Yeah yeah. Every time, every time I would see in
- 44:07Speaker 2: the paper Lando kel Risian, Oh, Lando Lando kel Risione
- 44:10Speaker 2: got arrested, you know, I would chuckle.
- 44:14Speaker 1: I have a friend who kind of went through this
- 44:16Speaker 1: situation when they had their son. He suggested that they
- 44:22Speaker 1: named their son first name and middle name Oliver Queen.
- 44:26Speaker 1: He said, Queen would be in honor of his mother,
- 44:29Speaker 1: you know, because she's the Queen of the House, and
- 44:31Speaker 1: then Oliver because he liked the name, and so somehow
- 44:34Speaker 1: he convinced his wife and she agreed, and so their
- 44:38Speaker 1: son is Oliver Queen. And it wasn't until a few
- 44:41Speaker 1: days later when people are visiting the new baby, somebody goes, wait,
- 44:44Speaker 1: like like the green arrow, and it was already too late.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well, I mean you have to tell your
- 44:54Speaker 2: spouse what it means. You can't you can't trick them
- 44:58Speaker 2: into right it. Yeah, that's that's that's not okay.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Oh, Darrel's is ten years ago, people were naming their
- 45:07Speaker 1: daughters after the Game of Thrones character, so it's not
- 45:09Speaker 1: that big of a stretch. Yeah, there was a lot
- 45:10Speaker 1: of Kaliss born.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Uh.
- 45:13Speaker 2: My sister's dog is Khalisi. And here's the thing. You
- 45:15Speaker 2: can name a dog anything you want. So if you really,
- 45:18Speaker 2: if you really want to, you know, name something after
- 45:21Speaker 2: one of these crazy names, you know, go.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Get the first dog that my wife and I got together.
- 45:26Speaker 3: We named him Q oh.
- 45:30Speaker 1: For for for the double oh seven character?
- 45:32Speaker 3: Yes, absolutely, absolutely, yeah, yeah, so we named him Q.
- 45:40Speaker 1: All right, we got Chas was on the line too,
- 45:43Speaker 1: so let's let's bring him in. Uh, it's pretty much
- 45:46Speaker 1: the jazz.
- 45:49Speaker 7: It's October Fest.
- 45:50Speaker 1: Boys.
- 45:54Speaker 7: Thet's too small. Okay, I might have to hold it
- 45:58Speaker 7: like this the whole episode.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Are you sure? Are you sure that's not a popcorn bucket?
- 46:05Speaker 7: No, it's not a popcorn bucket.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I got.
- 46:10Speaker 7: That's pretty impressed.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Show us your show us your later hosing?
- 46:15Speaker 1: Do they hosing?
- 46:20Speaker 2: Oh?
- 46:21Speaker 7: Man, there we go? That fits?
- 46:27Speaker 1: Okay, there you God, did shat GBT fulfill your answers
- 46:30Speaker 1: the way.
- 46:30Speaker 7: You wanted or I wanted to know? Okay, they go
- 46:34Speaker 7: to all these planets, right, yeah, and somebody is definitely
- 46:39Speaker 7: carrying a disease. What happens on one of these planets?
- 46:44Speaker 7: You know, this is kind of a lower deck, you know,
- 46:46Speaker 7: because they always make second contact, right you know what
- 46:51Speaker 7: happens like rikers always poking everybody and every planet. So
- 46:54Speaker 7: he's definitely carrying something. So and you know, you see
- 47:01Speaker 7: what happened to the Native Americans when you know, the
- 47:04Speaker 7: Spanish and everybody came over. They contracted disease and everything
- 47:10Speaker 7: because they're not immune to it.
- 47:11Speaker 2: So yeah, well, I think how does he get down
- 47:16Speaker 2: to that planet? If he goes through the transporter, then
- 47:18Speaker 2: the biofilter clean cleans them up all the way down.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like.
- 47:27Speaker 2: No, but it's like it's like a big giant wet nap.
- 47:29Speaker 2: It's just a.
- 47:31Speaker 7: Filter, but you still could carry something, you know, because
- 47:35Speaker 7: you have all these you know, different aliens.
- 47:37Speaker 2: So no, that's with the filter. Whatever he's got, whatever
- 47:41Speaker 2: he's got. He gets down there and it's like clean
- 47:45Speaker 2: bill of health.
- 47:45Speaker 7: Baby, he's fully clean.
- 47:49Speaker 2: And he's like, all I can do is catch stuff.
- 47:51Speaker 2: I can't give stuff away. And then okay, so he
- 47:54Speaker 2: gets space herpes while he's down there, no problem. He
- 47:57Speaker 2: takes the transporter back up to the ship. Boom boom boom,
- 48:00Speaker 2: filter clean billet, yep.
- 48:03Speaker 7: But what does he do to that planet though? That's
- 48:06Speaker 7: what I'm saying. Does he any planet? Diase?
- 48:09Speaker 2: No? No, no, it all filtered out on the way down.
- 48:12Speaker 2: He took he took a hot shower in the transporter.
- 48:15Speaker 2: He's got nothing.
- 48:19Speaker 8: The only thing, the thing is the only oh, the
- 48:22Speaker 8: only thing, if you're making for the only the only
- 48:27Speaker 8: thing he's leaving down there is hybrid children with strong beards.
- 48:31Speaker 2: That's the only thing he's leaving there.
- 48:33Speaker 7: I'm just saying, if you're making first contact, you know
- 48:37Speaker 7: it could happen.
- 48:38Speaker 3: He's the Mark nine transporter, brought to you by Trojan.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 48:47Speaker 7: Does the automatically come on? Is it like the space
- 48:51Speaker 7: helmet on a was it Discovery? It's where they just
- 48:58Speaker 7: touch it, you know, and it's the automatic.
- 49:00Speaker 1: I don't think they even touched it. I think they
- 49:01Speaker 1: just came on like Ironman style.
- 49:03Speaker 7: Yes, that's the saying. Is that how then in the
- 49:06Speaker 7: future will be.
- 49:10Speaker 3: Yeah, people like Riker? Yeah, could you send me through
- 49:12Speaker 3: the bile filter?
- 49:13Speaker 2: So here's reality, here's reality. This is the twenty fourth
- 49:18Speaker 2: of the twenty fifth century. Right when Riker goes on vacation,
- 49:22Speaker 2: the last thing he does before he leaves is going
- 49:25Speaker 2: to a vasectomy, and then the first thing he does
- 49:29Speaker 2: when he gets back is have it reversed.
- 49:36Speaker 6: That reminds me of Michael Scott's ran him off e
- 49:38Speaker 6: sectes on the I had a sectimy, then I had
- 49:43Speaker 6: to reverse because you wanted kids. Then I had to
- 49:44Speaker 6: get it again, Then I had to reverse again. Do
- 49:46Speaker 6: you have any idea what it's like to have three vasectomies?
- 49:49Speaker 6: The kind of toll taste on your body?
- 49:53Speaker 1: But what about Thomas Raker?
- 49:55Speaker 2: Did he have a nickname he's making up for lost time.
- 49:59Speaker 2: I think that wherever he can.
- 50:03Speaker 7: He's in the mine, just digging.
- 50:05Speaker 3: Yeah, because he's in a Kardashian prison, So I'm not
- 50:08Speaker 3: sure he's giving it so much as get it.
- 50:11Speaker 7: He's like, dang it. Other Rikers like banging chicks and
- 50:14Speaker 7: I'm down here just digging in this hole.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Yeah, getting banked by spoonheads. Wow. Right, Wait, I'm not
- 50:28Speaker 3: a way if it's a fake species. I'm not a bigot, right,
- 50:32Speaker 3: I don't know, Miles, are you? Okay? Tell you what?
- 50:37Speaker 3: If you're a Kardashian, you can go ahead and email
- 50:40Speaker 3: me at strong Beard one seven one at gmail dot com. There,
- 50:44Speaker 3: but only if you're a Kardassian, not Kardashian, right right, right,
- 50:49Speaker 3: not Kardashian Cardassian.
- 50:51Speaker 1: Oh man, Okay, anything else you want to bring up?
- 50:54Speaker 7: Chasmiz, Well, that was kind of it. I just want
- 50:57Speaker 7: to know. It's like, why don't they have this?
- 51:00Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, because.
- 51:02Speaker 7: You know, first contact. Because I've always wondered, is like
- 51:05Speaker 7: they go on these planets. You know, they're worried about disease,
- 51:07Speaker 7: but what about the disease they could carry? You know
- 51:10Speaker 7: that not immune toy. So yeah, it's just different species.
- 51:15Speaker 7: You know, even though they're there, they got a clean
- 51:18Speaker 7: bill of health.
- 51:21Speaker 3: That's probably why you have to get a medical officers
- 51:23Speaker 3: uh permission before you have interspecies relations because the medical
- 51:27Speaker 3: officer probably does that kind of research, like carry anything that.
- 51:32Speaker 2: The medical officer likes to watch.
- 51:34Speaker 7: Well, remember Carry Kim he got he got an STD
- 51:40Speaker 7: on that one episode of Voyager, remember, and brought it back.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, that's right, that's right.
- 51:46Speaker 3: Well, speaking of Harry Kim, the doctor gave him a
- 51:50Speaker 3: uh a permission slip to have sex with one of
- 51:54Speaker 3: the Klingons and then yeah, and then Neelix decided, yeah,
- 52:00Speaker 3: I'm gonna go ahead and take Yeah, I'll do that instead.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Uh. Nelix one of the most problematic characters in Star Trek.
- 52:08Speaker 7: But that was because it was it Harry Camp came back, right,
- 52:12Speaker 7: Did he come back on the transporter? Did he come
- 52:14Speaker 7: back on the.
- 52:16Speaker 3: Craft or or the I don't know.
- 52:19Speaker 1: He was replaced, right, like we got a different Harriet.
- 52:22Speaker 7: Well that was what it was that first or second
- 52:24Speaker 7: season when he was replaced. Yeah, because remember it.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Was oh when Voyager was getting like destroyed and they
- 52:32Speaker 3: and yeah, went from one point of reality the other
- 52:35Speaker 3: one timeline.
- 52:35Speaker 7: To the other where they they had the page. What
- 52:39Speaker 7: was the name of those guys, Oh yeah, Videans, Yes,
- 52:45Speaker 7: taking over the ship killing everybody and then other Harry,
- 52:50Speaker 7: do you.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Know we were talking about the action figures last week.
- 52:53Speaker 1: They can just make like a box of parts and
- 52:55Speaker 1: call them the Vidians.
- 52:57Speaker 7: Yep, just all the Star Trek characters would be awesome.
- 53:04Speaker 3: Well, they have as a term for that, and.
- 53:07Speaker 7: Their faces like melt them a little bit and then
- 53:10Speaker 7: they could be Videans, U.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Crome, don Ovegas. The trip got priggers, didn't he.
- 53:15Speaker 3: Yeah that's right, Yes he did. Yes, you know the
- 53:20Speaker 3: Klingons found out about it too, Yeah, that's right, that's right,
- 53:25Speaker 3: Arch just like there's a there's a pregnancy involved.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:29Speaker 7: I'm gonna have to have a major rewatch on all
- 53:32Speaker 7: these shows, because that's the bad thing. I can't watch
- 53:34Speaker 7: just one episode. I have to start at the beginning,
- 53:38Speaker 7: and then.
- 53:38Speaker 3: Enterprise is underrated. Yeah, I need to do an Enterprise rewatch.
- 53:42Speaker 1: M hmm, Yeah, I like Enterprise.
- 53:44Speaker 3: That's one.
- 53:45Speaker 7: Yeah. I think my next rewatch is Voyager, and then
- 53:48Speaker 7: I'm gonna do you do Space nine after that?
- 53:52Speaker 1: So you gotta get ready lower dex Is coming back.
- 53:55Speaker 7: Might have watch that's only about twenty four minutes long,
- 53:59Speaker 7: so that Yeah, they're quick.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Yeah when does when does that come out?
- 54:06Speaker 1: I think October something like that. Yeah, it's into October,
- 54:11Speaker 1: end of October. Yeah, because I was looking at the
- 54:15Speaker 1: calendar and I thought, if we skip next week and
- 54:18Speaker 1: then come back that one episode, we can do the
- 54:22Speaker 1: Predictions show and then go straight into reviews of lower Decks.
- 54:27Speaker 7: And plus is the final season?
- 54:29Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, that's it. Bronson is did the Google it's
- 54:36Speaker 1: the twenty fit Okay, okay.
- 54:39Speaker 3: Are we doing anything for Halloween? Because it's been suggested
- 54:41Speaker 3: a couple of times on the Facebook.
- 54:43Speaker 1: I know, I know, you know, we'll figure it out.
- 54:47Speaker 1: I don't know what we would do other than maybe we.
- 54:50Speaker 3: Can just have like a top five list or something
- 54:52Speaker 3: that we can go.
- 54:59Speaker 6: Stales failed structural integrity down to fifteen percent.
- 55:03Speaker 1: Man almost almost so good.
- 55:10Speaker 7: Yeah, all the camera angles are getting we get the day.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the only game. Oh no, oh no, all right.
- 55:23Speaker 7: I've seen the Penguin show yet one.
- 55:28Speaker 2: I have not Max a while back. Well, yeah, I heard, and.
- 55:36Speaker 7: You know, end of the month.
- 55:37Speaker 1: It's really good.
- 55:38Speaker 7: Yeah, Binge watch it because it's excellent.
- 55:41Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, I'll check it out.
- 55:42Speaker 1: It is you know what, it is excellent, which is
- 55:45Speaker 1: really bad? Joker too?
- 55:48Speaker 7: Oh I saw that.
- 55:49Speaker 3: You saw that was a bad.
- 55:51Speaker 7: I heard it.
- 55:52Speaker 1: No good, so bad. It's a musical, right, yes, And
- 55:59Speaker 1: I'm convinced that it's a musical because they really didn't
- 56:02Speaker 1: have much of a script and they needed a full time.
- 56:06Speaker 7: Wah so much with Joker to cover and you couldn't
- 56:10Speaker 7: figure out anything.
- 56:11Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a glowing endorsement.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty bad. Yeah, I'm glad I'm watching. I
- 56:19Speaker 1: watched it because I was curious about it.
- 56:21Speaker 7: But is it worth going to the theater or just
- 56:23Speaker 7: watch it.
- 56:24Speaker 1: At home, just waiting, wait till it's on Max.
- 56:26Speaker 7: Okay, because you'll say it's good, watch it?
- 56:30Speaker 1: No, yeah, so it Honestly, there was several times I'd
- 56:36Speaker 1: pulled out my phone because I was bored.
- 56:40Speaker 3: Wow.
- 56:41Speaker 7: Yeah, you're one of those guys that pulls out the
- 56:43Speaker 7: phone in the theater. How dare you?
- 56:45Speaker 3: It was worthy.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Literally me and one other guy in the theater.
- 56:51Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, that's really disappointing. Yeah it's not it's not surprising. Yeah,
- 56:57Speaker 2: I didn't think it was going to be good. But
- 56:59Speaker 2: you know, the first one was so good.
- 57:02Speaker 7: Right, that was the first, righted Ar moybe to make
- 57:04Speaker 7: a bid you know, across a billion?
- 57:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah it was, it was. But it's so bad.
- 57:13Speaker 1: I really don't want to get into spoilers for those
- 57:15Speaker 1: of you who want to watch it.
- 57:16Speaker 3: Oh, maybe we'll have to review it in the future.
- 57:20Speaker 7: Birds are bad.
- 57:23Speaker 1: I wouldn't say that bad.
- 57:28Speaker 3: You talk about the TV.
- 57:29Speaker 7: Series, no, no, no, no, Madam Web.
- 57:35Speaker 3: Okay, oh, Madam Web.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Not quite.
- 57:39Speaker 3: Madam Web was okay if you catch it.
- 57:41Speaker 7: On you know, you had Sydney Swingey, so you had.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Yeah, well, and Madam Web had a lot of technical issues,
- 57:50Speaker 1: like the audio track did match the lips of the
- 57:54Speaker 1: the actors. Bad editing, like there was a lot of issues.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Were a joker too. The editing's fine. It's a beautiful movie,
- 58:02Speaker 1: like every every shot is gorgeous, Like it looks really good.
- 58:07Speaker 1: It's just a bad story. Yeah.
- 58:12Speaker 3: When you say that a movie is beautifully shot, nothing
- 58:15Speaker 3: ever good follows that statement.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Well, it's like we used to say about Discovery, right,
- 58:20Speaker 1: it's a great look at show.
- 58:25Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, but it's a dumpster fire, very much so
- 58:31Speaker 7: very you know, nobody asked a question about Discovery. You know,
- 58:36Speaker 7: it's about the logics in the future and all that, So.
- 58:39Speaker 1: I think there was some in there. I just didn't
- 58:41Speaker 1: pull them. There was a lot of questions. Yeah, we
- 58:45Speaker 1: had a little stuff we had to take care of
- 58:46Speaker 1: this morning.
- 58:47Speaker 3: Not a fan, are you?
- 58:48Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 58:51Speaker 7: It's like, why didn't fuck ever mentioned his sister?
- 58:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 58:55Speaker 1: Yeah, does he really have what happened.
- 58:59Speaker 7: To your sister? I know you had a sister? Yeah, yeah,
- 59:03Speaker 7: you should have said something.
- 59:05Speaker 1: There's that meme of Kirk and Spock, but it's like, hey,
- 59:07Speaker 1: how come you to have introduced me to your sister?
- 59:13Speaker 2: Oh?
- 59:13Speaker 3: Well, yeah, Michael Kirk getting it on.
- 59:17Speaker 7: You have the super captain right there with those ge
- 59:21Speaker 7: That'd be like, what's the most powerful superhero ever? I
- 59:29Speaker 7: because you have Michael and James T.
- 59:31Speaker 3: Kirk. That'd be crazy, Oh god, super over acting, crying, screaming.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Yeahea, Hey guys.
- 59:45Speaker 3: That so done with Discovery.
- 59:51Speaker 2: We didn't have to talk about it anymore over.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: If I have any emails, yeah, I've got one. I've
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: got one too, Hey, go it, hello, Scott. In the
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: coming weeks, Google Play will launch a new person Oh
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: never mind, Nope, guess not.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Okay, I've got one from Zenograph Greading's Trek Cast. I've
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: been listening to the older Trek Cast with David and
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Daring between your new uploads and recently I want to
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: listen David and Darren. We're talking about how Odo really
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: doesn't have a mouth or anything. He's just a sentient jelly.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: And they got me thinking, that's a great thought. Yeah,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: he got me thinking, every alien Raisin Star Trek is
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: their own superhero, like Odo's. The T one thousand species
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: eight four seven to two couldn't be assimilated by the Boorg.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Romulins and Vulcans have enhanced strength. So basically, if you
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: needed to take down an alien race to a plan
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: it to an alien, who would you pick to be
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: your superhero? Hmmm? I mean that's in comics too, right,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Like Kryptonians. They're normal for Kryptonians, but on Earth they're
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: superpowered right, So mm hmmm.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: So where are we going though? What's what's what's the mission?
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: He didn't leave that up, So I think the idea
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: is who's your favorite alien?
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Essentially, who's my favorite alien?
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: That's tough man, That is a tough one.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: It depends on what you're going for. You know.
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: That's like, say, what's your favorite Star Trek episode. Yeah,
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: that's a good and tough question. I'll have to get them.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: Yeah, who's my favorite Star Trek Alien Superhero Mission?
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I know mine, I know mine. It's it's pimp Hios.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: It's Pimpirios.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Yeah. He may not be the strongest of the fastest,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: but he's the suavest.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: I think I would want. Uh, I think I would
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: want the Doctor Will, but I want seventh season doctor
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: who has mobile emitter, he has emergency command, bad parameters.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: He can just he can do it all because he
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: is he is also you know, if he can alter,
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: if he can alter his own appearance at will, he
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: could basically do anything odo can. Also, he is also
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: a T one thousand. He's just made of light instead
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: of goo.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, somebody mentioned Q. That's you know, that's like saying,
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: you know, who's who's your favorite or who's your strongest superhero?
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: Saying Superman or Incredible? Yeah, I would choose one.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, the board from the twenty ninth century.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, okay, good guy h pretty powerful from the
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: from the Borg. If you can call them a species. Yeah?
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Are the sports really a species and more like a gang?
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: You get initiated, you have to like wear the colors,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah, travel.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: Around with them, yep. You either get beat in or
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: you get sexed in.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: Yeah, good God, or blessed in. I don't know anything
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: about gangs though, I'm just.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Saying just a random thought I had.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, right, Well.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: I have a recommendation. Sure, I actually haven't seen this.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: It hasn't. I don't think it's come out yet. I
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: think it comes out in November first, at least that
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: it comes out in November first in the UK. Dan,
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: you've definitely heard of this, and I'm sure you're interested.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: It's a documentary called super Man Life of Christopher Reeve
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: and I've heard some early early previews of it. It's
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: supposed to be really, really good because obviously was the
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: first new the actor who played Superman in the seventies
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: and early eighties movies, and he's you know, if you
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: don't know anything about him, yeah, it's a it's a
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: it's an interesting his life is an interesting story, how
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: he got the role, his accident. Yeah, So when that
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: comes out, I recommend everybody watching that.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to go see that one that looks
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: really good. So all right, well, I guess that's pretty
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: much wrapping it up.
