Speaker 3: is Let's Talk. And we've got uh. I got my

Speaker 3: Miss Lisa ode Hell. There were the old props today,
• 1:06
Speaker 3: Thank you. So today's going to be a kind of
• 1:10
Speaker 3: a really interesting conversation I think in different categories, I guess.
• 1:17
  Speaker 3: And we've had a we've kind of had a kind
• 1:21
Speaker 3: of a tripping week to try to get to get
• 1:26
Speaker 3: this show set up. It's got it. Took us a
• 1:28
Speaker 3: little while to get it set up, but I guess
• 1:30
Speaker 3: we've got it. So Lisa, go ahead and get a start.
• 1:33
Speaker 4: I would love to so.
• 1:35
Speaker 5: Our honored guest is a former professional football player who
• 1:39
Speaker 5: was an offensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs in
• 1:42
Speaker 5: the NFL from nineteen eighty six through nineteen eighty eight.
• 1:46
Speaker 5: He was drafted in nineteen eighty six in the first
• 1:48
Speaker 5: round as a seventh overall pick. He played huge He
• 1:54
Speaker 5: played collegiate football at West Virginia University. In nineteen eighty three,
• 1:59
Speaker 5: he was can team All American by the AP Pole,
• 2:02
Speaker 5: and in nineteen eighty five he was a consensus All American,
• 2:06
Speaker 5: only the sixth ever honored at that time from West
• 2:09
Speaker 5: Virginia University. So I would like to introduce mister Brian Jozwiak. Welcome, Brian.
• 2:17
Speaker 6: Thank you for having me, and I appreciate the build up.
• 2:19
Speaker 6: It's nice to you know, reminius a little bit of
• 2:23
Speaker 6: that thirty five years ago. But hey, Vin, it's a
• 2:29
Speaker 6: good thing. I appreciate you guys having me on.
• 2:32
Speaker 3: We actually appreciate you coming on. So tell me a
• 2:37
Speaker 3: little bit about I'm just going to ask the question
• 2:40
Speaker 3: from a from a former player. When you're looking back
• 2:44
Speaker 3: now at football, professional football, you watch it, how do
• 2:49
Speaker 3: you view it now? Is it a like? Do you
• 2:51
Speaker 3: critique it? Does it bother you? Can you tell me
• 2:55
Speaker 3: how you feel about it?
• 2:58
Speaker 6: Well, first of all, the greatest sport played on the
• 3:01
Speaker 6: face of the planet. Brothers that participate in it excite
• 3:07
Speaker 6: me every time I watch the game because you know,
• 3:10
Speaker 6: Carl being on offensive lineman. Man, I watch the trench,
• 3:13
Speaker 6: I watch the physical battles that take place up front.
• 3:17
Speaker 6: You know, the instilling your will on somebody is a
• 3:21
Speaker 6: challenge because there's somebody across from you that's doing the
• 3:25
Speaker 6: same thing and fighting the battle. And it's just that
• 3:28
Speaker 6: that part of the game, the game itself, to me,
• 3:32
Speaker 6: had changed a whole lot. It's still blocking and tackling
• 3:34
Speaker 6: and eleven guys trying to push a ball across a
• 3:38
Speaker 6: goal line and eleven try to stop you. And you
• 3:40
Speaker 6: know that that part of the game is what I enjoy.
• 3:43
Speaker 6: I you know, I critique in my own mind, and
• 3:47
Speaker 6: you know, and I formulate my own opinions and all that.
• 3:49
Speaker 6: But at the end of the day, man, I just
• 3:51
Speaker 6: like to watch the game and how it unfolds it
• 3:55
Speaker 6: and how guys face adversity and deal with challenges, and
• 3:59
Speaker 6: you know, just like watching that game this weekend up
• 4:01
Speaker 6: there in Morgantown and and seeing our guys, you know,
• 4:04
Speaker 6: fight back from a ten point deficit and and fight
• 4:08
Speaker 6: to a finish man. It ain't over and it's over
• 4:10
Speaker 6: ever ever you could score in one play, right, yes,
• 4:16
Speaker 6: and and that on. You know, it's that that's the
• 4:19
Speaker 6: part of the game that that I I really enjoy.
• 4:23
Speaker 6: Uh you know, all the other stuff is ancillary. I
• 4:25
Speaker 6: have no control over any of it. So I just
• 4:28
Speaker 6: enjoy the game of football. And my son's a head
• 4:32
Speaker 6: football coach at Clearwater High School down here in Florida,
• 4:35
Speaker 6: so I get a chance to see as much high
• 4:38
Speaker 6: school football as I want. I just I just love
• 4:41
  Speaker 6: the game and it's such a such a such a
• 4:43
  Speaker 6: great game.
• 4:44
Speaker 5: He so, Brian, I'm going to take you back a
• 4:47
Speaker 5: little bit and already did in the intro, but let's
• 4:50
Speaker 5: go back a little bit more here, so uh so,
• 4:54
Speaker 5: and then we'll talk a little more about the backyard
• 4:56
Speaker 5: braw But but while you were at WVU, uh you
• 4:59
Speaker 5: you played in the coach Nelan and he moved you
• 5:02
Speaker 5: from defensive tackle to offensive lineman. What was that change
• 5:06
Speaker 5: like for you and how did you adjust to that position.
• 5:10
Speaker 6: Well, I'll tell you a little bit of the backstory.
• 5:13
Speaker 6: I came in as a freshman out of Baltimore, and
• 5:16
Speaker 6: you know, I was at that time six six, about
• 5:18
Speaker 6: three hundred and ten pounds, and you know, of course,
• 5:21
Speaker 6: that was nineteen eighty one, and I was a defensive lineman.
• 5:25
Speaker 6: I was actual noseguard, and got recruited as a defensive.
• 5:29
Speaker 3: Lineman, right and I.
• 5:31
Speaker 6: Got signed it, I got signed and it was me
• 5:34
Speaker 6: Bill Kerlavitch, who's going into the Hall of Fame up
• 5:37
Speaker 6: there this year, and a guy named Ernie Anderson, and
• 5:40
Speaker 6: we were we were the two freshmen defensive libe and
• 5:44
Speaker 6: under collab under coach Dealon. And in the first couple
• 5:51
Speaker 6: of weeks, you know, of training camp, I was the
• 5:54
Speaker 6: number one nose guard. I was running with the first unit. Heck,
• 5:57
Speaker 6: I was on the field with Darryl Tally Folks and
• 6:01
Speaker 6: and uh Jeff Seals and Todd Campbell and all those dudes.
• 6:05
Speaker 6: And I was a freshman and I was the starting
• 6:08
Speaker 6: nose guard and we were getting ready for the opener
• 6:11
Speaker 6: and every Thursday we did ten live goal line plays
• 6:15
Speaker 6: ones versus ones and they were real. I mean there
• 6:18
Speaker 6: was no joke. And of course that was before knee
• 6:20
Speaker 6: braces and played scrimmage. I blew my left knee out,
• 6:25
Speaker 6: had to have surgery, had surgery on Monday, and uh
• 6:29
Speaker 6: I actually came back in about four weeks. Doug Bowers
• 6:32
Speaker 6: sticks my knee. That was when they were first starting
• 6:35
Speaker 6: to do ar for scopic surgery. When I got back,
• 6:38
Speaker 6: I got back four weeks. I was back in the
• 6:41
Speaker 6: lineup US again. Uh I got back into the lineup.
• 6:45
Speaker 6: I was the number two and then I was getting
• 6:47
Speaker 6: rotations with the number one. We were getting ready. I
• 6:50
Speaker 6: think it was like the age or ninth game of
• 6:52
Speaker 6: the year, and I was going to get back in
• 6:54
Speaker 6: there and give it her shot. And I swear the
• 6:56
Speaker 6: same thing happened to my right knee. I was in
• 6:59
Speaker 6: on my and right after I got out of surgery,
• 7:02
Speaker 6: Coach Delon was in my room with with Kerlavitch and
• 7:08
Speaker 6: the coach Carl Battershell. Battershell was the tackle coach and
• 7:12
Speaker 6: Coach Delon informed my mom and dad and me. Hell
• 7:16
Speaker 6: I was laying in bed with my knee packed in Ice,
• 7:19
Speaker 6: and he's like, hey, listen, we're gonna move your kid
• 7:22
Speaker 6: to offensive tackle because we feel that he's going to
• 7:25
Speaker 6: be susceptible to knee injuries. And of course, back then
• 7:28
Speaker 6: there was no knee braces that you could cut anybody
• 7:30
Speaker 6: you wanted any time. And so they moved me to
• 7:33
Speaker 6: offensive tackle. And to this day, I give coach deal
• 7:36
Speaker 6: and a kiss on the forehead every time I see him,
• 7:39
Speaker 6: because it was the best move they could have ever
• 7:41
  Speaker 6: made for me.
• 7:42
Speaker 3: I played with Dennis Folks, actually he came to Minnesota,
• 7:46
Speaker 3: and I know Dale Telly really well.
• 7:48
Speaker 6: So hey, mister inside, mister Alison.
• 7:52
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 7:55
Speaker 6: Great players, great players.
• 7:57
Speaker 3: How you doing that?
• 7:58
Speaker 6: That's how I hit it up on offense.
• 8:00
  Speaker 3: That's a great story, and that's a and it's a
• 8:02
Speaker 3: testament to you know, your athleticism and versatility. So watching
• 8:08
Speaker 3: the game, you know, can you just sort of recount
• 8:11
Speaker 3: your experience playing in the backyard brawl during your time
• 8:14
  Speaker 3: at w v U.
• 8:17
Speaker 6: Oh my, what a great history. Of course. You know,
• 8:20
Speaker 6: you know when I got hey Carl, when I was
• 8:23
Speaker 6: on my recruiting trips, I was I was I was
• 8:27
Speaker 6: told to hate Pitt and I didn't know why hell,
• 8:32
Speaker 6: I was from Baltimore. I require Pittzburg was I know
• 8:36
Speaker 6: it was a Pennsylvania somewhere, and uh, anyway, it was
• 8:40
Speaker 6: just you know, back then it was the third longest
• 8:43
Speaker 6: running rivalry. Uh. Now it's dropped because it broke off
• 8:48
Speaker 6: there for a number of years and such. But you know,
• 8:50
Speaker 6: when I showed up, you know, the pitt rivalry was
• 8:54
Speaker 6: was already like I said, it was the third longest
• 8:57
Speaker 6: running rivalry in the nation. And the brawl and so
• 9:00
Speaker 6: only seventy miles apart, you know, Mills Mills versus minds. Uh,
• 9:05
Speaker 6: it was deep seated in the blue collar mentality that
• 9:10
Speaker 6: you know western Pa and and in West Virginia are
• 9:14
Speaker 6: and and it's just there was just so much to it.
• 9:17
Speaker 6: And of course, uh, you know being in those battles, uh,
• 9:21
Speaker 6: you know the games I got, I got, I got,
• 9:23
Speaker 6: I was two, I was two to one and one
• 9:27
Speaker 6: two one and one lost in in uh in katy
• 9:31
Speaker 6: two one, eighty three, eighty four, And of course you know,
• 9:35
Speaker 6: the harshest memory I have of that rivalry was eighty five,
• 9:39
Speaker 6: the ten ten tie. How do you how do you play?
• 9:43
Speaker 6: How do you know? You beat the living dog out
• 9:45
Speaker 6: of each other for priars. As you get back, you're
• 9:48
Speaker 6: sitting in your locker room going what the hell? I
• 9:51
Speaker 6: just know it's like this was ridiculous, Like this is
• 9:55
Speaker 6: your sister. I mean there was there was nothing, you know. Yeah,
• 9:59
Speaker 6: and hey, uh that that was so fun to be
• 10:03
Speaker 6: part of that. And I tell you ironically, I got drafted.
• 10:06
Speaker 6: When I got drafted, seat I get out there, and
• 10:09
Speaker 6: who's my locker? Right? A button next to broke Billy Moss.
• 10:14
Speaker 6: Bill Muss was a pit d lineman. We played against
• 10:17
Speaker 6: each other in eighty three and uh uh, he went
• 10:21
Speaker 6: out and got drafted out there and we had to
• 10:23
Speaker 6: pang against each other. It took a while for he
• 10:26
Speaker 6: and I to even you know, like talk to each other.
• 10:30
Speaker 6: It was and you know, we were touching lockers.
• 10:34
Speaker 3: You know, Oh my goodness.
• 10:36
Speaker 6: Yeah, great, Robberry, just such a just such a it's
• 10:39
Speaker 6: just again it's a it's a different kind of game, yeah,
• 10:43
Speaker 6: because of all the emotion and you know, yeah, the
• 10:46
Speaker 6: challenge is the next game after a win like that?
• 10:49
  Speaker 4: Yeah for sure.
• 10:51
Speaker 5: Hey, So, so, Brian, what I would like to do
• 10:53
Speaker 5: as you're talking about the blue collar mentality, I'm just
• 10:56
Speaker 5: going to have our producer run a clip of rich
• 10:59
Speaker 5: Rod interview after the game, and then maybe get your
• 11:02
Speaker 5: thoughts on all the emotion rich was feeling.
• 11:05
Speaker 4: You're gonna play the clip.
• 11:06
Speaker 3: Please, what a seeing coach? Congratulations Just about as happy
• 11:11
Speaker 3: as I've ever seen you. Coach, How do you describe
• 11:13
Speaker 3: your emotions right now?
• 11:15
Speaker 7: I'm so happy for our kids, for the state of
• 11:17
  Speaker 7: West Virginia.
• 11:20
Speaker 3: What is this speaking coach?
• 11:21
Speaker 7: Heuto West Virginia. We got a lot of credit, We
• 11:24
Speaker 7: got a lot of hardworking people. Don't ever quit it.
• 11:27
Speaker 7: Don't ever quit it, West Virginia Mountaineers, don't ever quit it.
• 11:31
Speaker 3: What do you think made the difference?
• 11:32
Speaker 7: Coach just kept playing along with the game's gonna go
• 11:36
Speaker 7: the better for West Virginia.
• 11:39
Speaker 3: God bless the Mountaineers.
• 11:41
Speaker 7: And God blessed West Virginia.
• 11:44
Speaker 3: Now, I have to say, as a Marshall guy, yet,
• 11:49
  Speaker 3: I have to say, I don't know if I've ever
• 11:53
Speaker 3: seen a coach be that just emotional, just that emotional
• 12:00
Speaker 3: to the point like gives you chills. Yeah, because he
• 12:02
Speaker 3: because because he's not and it's like he's counting everybody
• 12:06
Speaker 3: in West Virginia, like he's throwing everybody in West Virginia
• 12:10
Speaker 3: into that victory to celebrate it, regardless of where you
• 12:14
Speaker 3: played or who you root for. And I and to me,
• 12:17
Speaker 3: I thought that that was that was good. But can
• 12:20
Speaker 3: you can you explain what you hear when you when
• 12:24
Speaker 3: you hear him going crazy like that?
• 12:27
Speaker 6: Well, I can tell you that while that was going on,
• 12:30
Speaker 6: I was over in the end zone jumping around like
• 12:32
Speaker 6: a baby because I felt that same, that same passion,
• 12:39
Speaker 6: that same that same emotion, because it is such a
• 12:44
Speaker 6: I'm getting choked now, but so rich. I mean, I
• 12:49
Speaker 6: mean think about you know this, this is the not
• 12:53
Speaker 6: many of us get second chances and the emption. And
• 12:59
Speaker 6: you know, the last game against Pitt that he ever coached,
• 13:02
Speaker 6: we lost. And for him to get that game to
• 13:06
Speaker 6: share it with with all the people in West Virginia.
• 13:09
Speaker 6: You gotta remember, some mark brand is quite unique. And
• 13:12
Speaker 6: I'll tell you what our brand is. A is a
• 13:16
  Speaker 6: w AV. It doesn't there's not a U on it.
• 13:19
  Speaker 6: There's it's just w V West virgin That w V
• 13:23
Speaker 6: represents all of us that are West Virginia, you know,
• 13:27
Speaker 6: I mean everywhere it matters. A stadium was it was
• 13:32
Speaker 6: the most I haven't seen an atmosphere like that in
• 13:35
Speaker 6: a stadium for twenty years, and a lot of that
• 13:38
Speaker 6: is because of Rich's energy and what he said in
• 13:42
Speaker 6: the beginning of the year. Man, hey, we need you,
• 13:45
Speaker 6: don't you. We're not gonna quit. What he said in
• 13:48
Speaker 6: the postgame, We're never We're never gonna quit. We're gonna fight.
• 13:51
Speaker 6: And and that that is what we saw a great
• 13:56
Speaker 6: example of and our bands. You know, a year or
• 14:00
Speaker 6: two ago, in the third quarter, when we got down
• 14:02
Speaker 6: bout ten, half our fans would have been out in
• 14:05
Speaker 6: the parking lot. And and this game, we got down
• 14:09
Speaker 6: bout ten, and the energy just increased and intensified to
• 14:13
Speaker 6: the point where in the last couple of minutes of
• 14:16
Speaker 6: that game it rattled so bad that they had to
• 14:19
Speaker 6: go and and try tactics to try to figure it out.
• 14:24
Speaker 6: And at the end they rattled enough that that twelveth man,
• 14:28
Speaker 6: that that West Virginia fan base that was in there
• 14:31
Speaker 6: provided such an energy that it just it's just it
• 14:37
Speaker 6: was a work of art. It was it was really
• 14:38
Speaker 6: something special. And again it's for like Rich said, it's
• 14:42
Speaker 6: for everybody to share in, you know, but that past,
• 14:46
Speaker 6: you know, it's in the past. So for us, you know,
• 14:51
Speaker 6: it's exciting to grasp me. You know, I'm driving down
• 14:53
Speaker 6: to Florida with a buddy of mine. Of course, you
• 14:56
Speaker 6: know that's been the topic of conversation for most of
• 14:58
Speaker 6: the trip, and it's excited speaking a trip go fast.
• 15:03
Speaker 3: Well, I think you have something real. I just because
• 15:07
Speaker 3: I know one of the things we have said after
• 15:08
Speaker 3: the bad loss to to Ohio, and one of the
• 15:12
Speaker 3: things I had said last week on the show was that,
• 15:14
Speaker 3: you know, West Gia is very much in this thing
• 15:16
Speaker 3: as far as international conversation. Uh and obviously Beaten Pitt
• 15:21
Speaker 3: helps that. So what what do you think just Wes
• 15:24
Speaker 3: Virginia going into Big twelve play and and and what
• 15:27
  Speaker 3: are you foreseeing?
• 15:28
  Speaker 4: What?
• 15:28
Speaker 3: What? What's a good season as far as from alumni perspective?
• 15:33
Speaker 6: You know, I mean one of a time for one thing,
• 15:36
Speaker 6: and from an alumni perspective, And hope we all understand,
• 15:40
Speaker 6: you know, Rich had to Rich had to pull the
• 15:44
Speaker 6: whole new staff. Rich had to bring in you know,
• 15:49
Speaker 6: like seventy one plus however many freshman I think it
• 15:53
  Speaker 6: was like.
• 15:53
Speaker 3: Eighty eighty one new players.
• 15:56
Speaker 6: Yeah, eighty one new players. I mean that's like that's
• 15:58
Speaker 6: like me buying a business, have one hundred and fifty
• 16:00
Speaker 6: employees and on the first day, one hundred and thirty
• 16:03
Speaker 6: five of them to walk out the door, and I
• 16:05
Speaker 6: got to go replace them and try to get production
• 16:08
Speaker 6: almost immediately because the Mountain. Here's what we expect, we expect.
• 16:13
Speaker 6: And you know that that gives give down on teams
• 16:16
Speaker 6: some credit. They're good football team.
• 16:18
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're great.
• 16:20
  Speaker 5: You know.
• 16:20
Speaker 6: So at the end of the day, we are still
• 16:25
Speaker 6: experiencing growing pains and it's going to take a continual effort,
• 16:30
Speaker 6: but we will get better. And I'm telling you, I
• 16:33
Speaker 6: was a practice on Wednesday before the game, and I
• 16:36
Speaker 6: was so excited to see the energy and the tempo
• 16:41
Speaker 6: and and I'll tell you I had this one was
• 16:44
Speaker 6: really cool. And I'm before practice. Rich brought the offensive
• 16:49
Speaker 6: line to the corner of the end zone and and
• 16:52
Speaker 6: kind of gave me the stage said hey man, you
• 16:55
Speaker 6: got some words. I was like, are you kidding me,
• 16:59
Speaker 6: and kind of stepped aside and let me let me
• 17:02
Speaker 6: throw some words at him about you know what it
• 17:05
Speaker 6: means to us and uh, you know, as an offensive lineman.
• 17:10
Speaker 6: And and to see that and to watch those guys
• 17:14
Speaker 6: go out there and and and do what they did
• 17:17
Speaker 6: and fight to the finish and over time and and
• 17:19
Speaker 6: grab that victory like that. Man, that is just wonderful.
• 17:22
Speaker 6: And it does. It's sets a stage now because we start,
• 17:26
Speaker 6: you know, with Kansas next week, we start the Big
• 17:28
Speaker 6: twelve play. All the goals are still intact. Yeah, you know,
• 17:31
Speaker 6: we're undefeated in the Big twelve, as everybody is or
• 17:35
Speaker 6: will whoever whatever, But right now we're we're undefeated in
• 17:38
Speaker 6: the Big twelve. And and we're starting off and here
• 17:42
Speaker 6: we go, and uh, you know, if if we could
• 17:45
Speaker 6: come out of here with you know, maybe one more
• 17:48
Speaker 6: really big win and knock off the ones that we're
• 17:52
Speaker 6: supposed to uh, and and you know, who knows, I mean,
• 17:56
Speaker 6: who knows? I mean, look at what Indiana did last year.
• 18:02
Speaker 6: You get enough, you get enough going, and you get
• 18:05
Speaker 6: that mojo going and and you know, as we all know,
• 18:07
Speaker 6: whinn is a great deodor and it and it really
• 18:10
Speaker 6: fixes a lot of good things. So the faster these
• 18:12
Speaker 6: guys can can continue to learn and grow, and the
• 18:16
Speaker 6: more game experience they get, I mean, heck, as an
• 18:18
Speaker 6: offensive lineman, you know, you've got five guys and it's
• 18:21
Speaker 6: a first game we've ever played in and Ohio is
• 18:23
Speaker 6: the second game, and Ohio is running all over the place,
• 18:26
Speaker 6: and you know, for them to go from that week
• 18:29
Speaker 6: to this week and the improvement made right there, they
• 18:32
Speaker 6: continue on that kind of crescendo through the year and
• 18:36
Speaker 6: you know, stay healthy. You know, our devil becomes extremely
• 18:40
Speaker 6: valuable in this case. But he went out and recruited
• 18:43
Speaker 6: a bunch of new guys that you know he's going
• 18:46
Speaker 6: to have the depth. So I'm I'm excited about the year.
• 18:50
  Speaker 6: I really am.
• 18:51
Speaker 4: So that's that's me too, Brian. I agree with you
• 18:55
Speaker 4: one d and ten percent.
• 18:57
Speaker 5: I have a question though, and it's kind of the
• 18:58
Speaker 5: elephant in the room that I'll lot of fans are discussing,
• 19:01
Speaker 5: probably on social media. So we know that Nico Marcio
• 19:06
Speaker 5: was was the starting quarterback for the game, and and
• 19:09
Speaker 5: and you know, play played pretty decent the first half.
• 19:12
Speaker 5: WVU was up seven to three at halftime, and then
• 19:16
Speaker 5: when we come out to the third third quarter, we
• 19:18
Speaker 5: see that true freshman Scottie Fox takes the helm at
• 19:22
Speaker 5: at at offense. Uh, I know you're not You're not
• 19:25
Speaker 5: rich Rod. You can't answer for him. What are your
• 19:27
Speaker 5: thoughts about the change? What why do you think that
• 19:29
Speaker 5: change was necessary? At the beginning of the third quarter,
• 19:32
Speaker 5: in the pit game.
• 19:34
Speaker 6: I think they probably made a decision first to maybe
• 19:38
Speaker 6: try to get a little spark going. Uh. And I
• 19:42
Speaker 6: think that from a from a psychology standpoint, you know,
• 19:46
Speaker 6: this guy is going to be the future quarterback of
• 19:48
Speaker 6: your football program. Let's let's get him in the one
• 19:52
Speaker 6: of the biggest games ever and and get him into
• 19:55
Speaker 6: that that pressure cooker and get him into that situation
• 19:58
Speaker 6: and and welcome him to college footballs and and and
• 20:03
Speaker 6: and that creates some depth. And then you put the
• 20:05
Speaker 6: other guy in you try a little bit of that.
• 20:08
Speaker 6: That gets him some more game experience as the year goes,
• 20:11
Speaker 6: and then you put your stud back in there and
• 20:13
Speaker 6: you get what you expect out of him, a great
• 20:16
Speaker 6: performance and finish and uh, you know, you gotta build
• 20:20
Speaker 6: depth because you just never know, and you gotta be
• 20:23
Speaker 6: interchangeable at the whim it's got to be able to happen.
• 20:26
Speaker 6: That's his kind of mentality. And he's got, you know,
• 20:29
Speaker 6: some some quarterbacks to work with, and he's trying to
• 20:32
  Speaker 6: get him, you.
• 20:33
Speaker 3: Know, some game time, you know, and that's game time
• 20:36
Speaker 3: in a big game.
• 20:38
Speaker 6: On top of that, Yes, sir, yes sir, I'm.
• 20:41
Speaker 3: Gonna I'm gonna say something that's gonna sound crazy, but
• 20:45
Speaker 3: I'm going to ask you a question, and I'm curious
• 20:49
Speaker 3: because what this reminds me of. It reminds me of
• 20:53
Speaker 3: Bob Pruitt going back to Marshall and the change that
• 20:59
Speaker 3: took place at Marshall. Can you do you think this
• 21:04
Speaker 3: is something that is going to go that direction for
• 21:07
Speaker 3: WU now to to really be you know, you got
• 21:11
Speaker 3: the right coach with the right team at the right time.
• 21:16
Speaker 3: What what what is this? Is this going to be
• 21:18
Speaker 3: a remake? Do you think he's gonna just rebuild this
• 21:20
Speaker 3: whole thing to a to a level that people didn't
• 21:24
Speaker 3: think he could go.
• 21:27
Speaker 6: You know, Uh, that is a great question, you know.
• 21:30
Speaker 6: I mean, I think our limitations are always going to
• 21:33
Speaker 6: be the depth of resources that are available to us.
• 21:37
Speaker 6: As far as facilities are concerned. We got we got
• 21:40
Speaker 6: one of the best facilities in the nation, you know,
• 21:42
Speaker 6: but we're in Morgantown. Uh And you know, uh, Ken Ken.
• 21:48
Speaker 6: The bottom line is in the in the landscape we're in.
• 21:52
Speaker 6: You guys know the n I L and the way
• 21:54
Speaker 6: the portals designed We've got We've got to have a staff,
• 21:58
Speaker 6: which I think we do that will hold players here.
• 22:02
Speaker 6: But at the end of the day, you know, And
• 22:05
Speaker 6: I hate it, but it is about money. When somebody
• 22:08
Speaker 6: says I'm getting one hundred thousand dollars, and somebody says,
• 22:11
Speaker 6: come here and I'll give you half a million, and
• 22:14
Speaker 6: you know, where's my loyalty? Yeah, you know, and I hope,
• 22:18
Speaker 6: I hope the loyalties not to the dollar. But you know,
• 22:23
Speaker 6: how can how I mean, I may never play in
• 22:25
Speaker 6: the NFL and I can go get you know, three
• 22:27
Speaker 6: or four hundred thousand.
• 22:28
Speaker 3: Ye that I mean.
• 22:29
Speaker 6: It really muddies the water a lot. I mean, I'm
• 22:32
Speaker 6: sure you know I would have liked to have got
• 22:35
Speaker 6: you know, CEMENTI I own money, mate, I don't know.
• 22:38
Speaker 6: But uh, I'm sure glad that it didn't happen during
• 22:41
Speaker 6: my time because I enjoyed the building of the locker
• 22:45
Speaker 6: room and coming in as a freshman and leaving us
• 22:47
Speaker 6: a fifth year senior and seeing it happen over and
• 22:50
Speaker 6: over again, and having a coach in place for twenty years.
• 22:53
Speaker 6: I got blessed, man. I was I was part of
• 22:55
Speaker 6: something really special. It's just you know, different.
• 23:00
Speaker 5: It is a different world, whole different world, Brian. So,
• 23:03
  Speaker 5: so I have a question for you now. It's it's
• 23:06
Speaker 5: we're going to wrap this up with you because we
• 23:08
Speaker 5: know you're traveling and you're probably tired. But so you're
• 23:11
Speaker 5: Kansas City Chiefs, your former team. They're out of the
• 23:14
Speaker 5: gate at oh and two.
• 23:16
Speaker 4: So, so what are.
• 23:17
Speaker 5: Your thoughts about that, about that story with you and
• 23:20
Speaker 5: why do you love Taylor Sweft?
• 23:23
Speaker 6: Well, I'll answer that by saying this, I will always
• 23:28
Speaker 6: be a debt to the Hunt family for drafting me
• 23:31
Speaker 6: number seven in the nineteen eighty six draft and then
• 23:35
Speaker 6: you know, uh, you know, uh, three and a half
• 23:38
Speaker 6: years later they cut me. So you know what, at
• 23:42
Speaker 6: the end of the day, you know what I mean? Yeah,
• 23:45
  Speaker 6: I have no loyalties. I don't even get a Christmas
• 23:49
Speaker 6: card from him. Now, Okay, so this point it is
• 23:53
Speaker 6: and the other thing I think Travis dy So just
• 23:56
Speaker 6: quit thinking about her. I want to drop a past
• 24:00
Speaker 6: a right to freeing out that I.
• 24:02
Speaker 4: Knew you would take that made.
• 24:06
Speaker 5: Line and Brian, you took it. Tell us about your
• 24:12
Speaker 5: podcast a little bit before we let you go.

• 24:36
Speaker 6: Uh My Collins has been with us, Owen Schmid has
• 24:39
Speaker 6: been with us. Uh you know, and uh, I said
• 24:42
Speaker 6: Major Harris, we we we did together, and we'll go
• 24:46
Speaker 6: to these watch parties and we will do a live
• 24:51
Speaker 6: on the spot, you know, kind of pregame talking about
• 24:54
Speaker 6: the upcoming game and telling some stories and and and
• 24:58
Speaker 6: just chop it up, but it have some fun with it.
• 25:03
Speaker 6: And uh, get around a bunch of Mountaineer fans and
• 25:06
Speaker 6: you know, we're gonna be in Myrtle Beach, are coming up.
• 25:09
Speaker 6: This will be our fourth year in Myrtle Beach, and uh,
• 25:12
Speaker 6: it's just wowd it would be three foreign people packed
• 25:15
Speaker 6: his place, and it's just, you know, we're just hanging
• 25:17
Speaker 6: out with the Mountaineer fans.
• 25:19
Speaker 5: You're living You're living your best life, aren't you your

• 25:38
  Speaker 6: It's a hooge. It's a it's a hooge.
• 25:40
  Speaker 4: Sounds fun.
• 25:41
Speaker 3: And make sure you tell those guys I said hello,
• 25:44
Speaker 3: because I know a bunch of that group right there.

Speaker 6: and think he's such a great fit down there, and
• 26:42
Speaker 6: and and for him, you know, his first head coaching.
• 26:45
Speaker 6: Run man and he gets that first victory.
• 26:47
Speaker 5: That's best, big yes, sir, thank you, thank you for

Speaker 2: Now back to the conversation.
• 28:37
Speaker 10: The Ravens were planning to select Schador Sanders. When he
• 28:41
Speaker 10: found out, he got word back to the Ravens that
• 28:43
Speaker 10: he preferred not to go to a place where he
• 28:45
Speaker 10: would be competing in backing up Lamar Jackson, you want
• 28:48
Speaker 10: to be in a place that he could play a
• 28:50
Speaker 10: right Like, if this is true, I think this is crazy.
• 28:51
Speaker 3: At this point, you're in the fifth round.
• 28:53
Speaker 11: I understand you had higher hopes. You've dropped to the
• 28:55
Speaker 11: fifth round and you're thinking about being a starting quarterback
• 28:58
Speaker 11: the next year. I think this is incredibly short sighted. Like,
• 29:01
Speaker 11: if you're in this situation, you want to go to
• 29:03
Speaker 11: an organization that is going to develop you, Instead, you
• 29:07
Speaker 11: choose the Cleveland Browns because you think you have a
• 29:09
Speaker 11: chance to start the next year.
• 29:10
Speaker 12: Teddy, you're talking about Lamar Jackson is going to be
• 29:12
Speaker 12: probably retire with this organization. So if the backup does
• 29:16
Speaker 12: get in, he's in for garbage time. So I can
• 29:18
Speaker 12: see Washador Sanders made that decision. I want to go
• 29:21
Speaker 12: compete for a job and get out there and play
• 29:22
  Speaker 12: as a.
• 29:23
  Speaker 3: Rookieh I know, when I don't know, there's if there's
• 29:26
Speaker 3: any athlete that does not want to go to whatever
• 29:29
Speaker 3: next level who wants to play. But when you here's
• 29:35
Speaker 3: my issue when you name if I say I don't
• 29:38
Speaker 3: want to go to GW because Hollins Lewis is the
• 29:42
Speaker 3: quarterback and I'm a quarterback, what did I say? You know,
• 29:49
  Speaker 3: I'm supposed I got That's where I'm supposed to go,
• 29:53
Speaker 3: But I'm going to go somewhere else because I don't
• 29:55
Speaker 3: want to face the reality of competing against a true
• 30:03
Speaker 3: high school quarterback. Well, in this case, you're not competing.
• 30:08
Speaker 3: So I think that's the thing. If he went to Balltimore,
• 30:11
Speaker 3: there is no competition, Lamar Jackson is the yes, I
• 30:15
Speaker 3: think the thing and again, and I understand sort of
• 30:20
Speaker 3: what he was thinking is that again, I'll have a
• 30:24
Speaker 3: chance to play if I go to Cleveland. I think
• 30:26
Speaker 3: the thing he underestimated is that Cleveland is a terribly
• 30:29
Speaker 3: rand organization. And I think, no matter if you start,
• 30:34
Speaker 3: no matter if you're on the bench, no matter what happens.
• 30:36
Speaker 3: And he's already being he's already seen that. I mean,
• 30:39
Speaker 3: when you have the owner making disparaging comments about you
• 30:43
Speaker 3: and you haven't even played it down for the organization,
• 30:46
Speaker 3: you know, I think you just have to measure far
• 30:49
Speaker 3: as in a professional standpoint, you have to look long term.
• 30:52
Speaker 3: You can't look short term and long term. Even if
• 30:55
Speaker 3: you are a backup for the Ravens, you get that
• 30:57
Speaker 3: garbage time, you perform in that garbage time, you may
• 31:00
Speaker 3: set yourself up for a starting job, and you know,
• 31:03
Speaker 3: it's always possible that Lamar Jackson gets hurts and you're
• 31:05
Speaker 3: in there, see but see to me and and sorry,
• 31:10
Speaker 3: at least I know you had something to But here's what,
• 31:14
Speaker 3: here's what I can remember getting to the vikings and
• 31:18
Speaker 3: I knew, you know, I looked at the two corners
• 31:21
Speaker 3: and I'm thinking to myself, Okay, I can't get Willie
• 31:24
Speaker 3: till he's just like he's he's solid. The other guy
• 31:29
Speaker 3: was okay, you know, and I'm thinking, okay, maybe I
• 31:31
Speaker 3: could get him. But it took. It took basically most
• 31:35
Speaker 3: of the you know, some games before I could even
• 31:38
Speaker 3: get into the starting lineup to think that you have
• 31:44
Speaker 3: to be a starter, that you're gonna go somewhere to
• 31:48
Speaker 3: just to be a starter, go beat somebody out, Go
• 31:52
  Speaker 3: go take a go take a job. Don't what he's
• 31:54
Speaker 3: trying to do now. And he's not getting an opportunity.
• 31:57
Speaker 3: And the thing is unlike corner there, because corner you
• 32:01
Speaker 3: have maybe three or four opportunities to get on the field.
• 32:04
Speaker 3: You can get in a Nickel package. You can be
• 32:06
Speaker 3: the starter there. You can be the start a right
• 32:07
Speaker 3: or left corner. And there are other dime in different
• 32:09
Speaker 3: prevent practices that you could possibly find yourself. We may
• 32:12
Speaker 3: not be official quote unquote starter, but you may be
• 32:15
Speaker 3: the first guy off the bench. Quarterback is one shot.
• 32:17
Speaker 3: It's only you got one chance. And I think again,
• 32:21
Speaker 3: maybe because it's arrogance, maybe because of this, maybe because
• 32:24
Speaker 3: of that. But now he's finding himself in a situation
• 32:27
Speaker 3: where again you go to a terrible franchise, terrible things happen,
• 32:31
Speaker 3: and you got a long list of quarterbacks who have
• 32:35
Speaker 3: went to Cleveland to die. I mean, they let this
• 32:38
Speaker 3: organization let Baker Mayfield go. And Baker Mayfield is a
• 32:42
Speaker 3: legit starter in this league. He's leading Tampa. I think
• 32:46
Speaker 3: he went to the playoffs. So I think it was
• 32:50
Speaker 3: just a miscalculation because and again, no matter how good
• 32:53
Speaker 3: you are, you go to a crappy franchise, it's only
• 32:56
  Speaker 3: gonna hurt you.
• 32:57
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean those are all good points.
• 32:59
Speaker 3: What you guys are.
• 33:00
Speaker 5: I think I'm gonna go to the emotional route here.
• 33:02
Speaker 5: I think I think what bothers me the most about
• 33:04
Speaker 5: all of this. It's not that you know, he passed
• 33:07
Speaker 5: up an opportunity to go play under a superb quarterback
• 33:11
Speaker 5: and could have learned much from Lamar Jackson.
• 33:13
Speaker 4: You know he could have done that.
• 33:14
Speaker 5: I think the biggest thing was is the victim role
• 33:17
Speaker 5: he played during the draft, knowing all along, you know,
• 33:20
Speaker 5: he had this this free fall, you know, during the draft,
• 33:23
Speaker 5: he made people feel bad for him, feel sorry for him,
• 33:26
Speaker 5: when he in reality, the Ravens wanted to draft him
• 33:29
Speaker 5: at what one hundred and forty one draft pick or something.
• 33:32
  Speaker 3: Like that, at.
• 33:35
Speaker 5: The one and forty first pick, so's I don't know
• 33:38
Speaker 5: what round that would be. But you know, to me,
• 33:42
Speaker 5: he did this Woe is Me song and dance when
• 33:45
  Speaker 5: in reality.
• 33:46
Speaker 3: You knew what was happening. He knew what was happening.
• 33:49
Speaker 5: He knew what was happening, yet he played on the
• 33:50
Speaker 5: heartstrings of all the fans you know, of the NFL
• 33:53
Speaker 5: and during the draft of Oh nobody wants me, look
• 33:55
Speaker 5: at me, poor me? And you know Dad knew what
• 33:59
Speaker 5: was going on as well. Yes, you know, Dion knows
• 34:01
Speaker 5: everything his sons are doing. So to me, it's kind
• 34:05
  Speaker 5: of like a false I don't know, a falsehood that
• 34:08
Speaker 5: he kind of put out there, or is.
• 34:10
Speaker 3: Do you think he's trying to find what I'll call
• 34:13
Speaker 3: favor for somebody to you know, because if you get that,
• 34:19
Speaker 3: if you get the negative side of the fan base, right,
• 34:24
Speaker 3: is he trying to find a way to create a
• 34:27
Speaker 3: way for people to feel bad for him?
• 34:30
Speaker 4: Well that's how I felt during the draft.
• 34:32
Speaker 5: Now that this has come to light, Yeah, I think
• 34:35
Speaker 5: during the draft he wanted people to feel sorry for him,
• 34:38
Speaker 5: And in reality it wasn't the case at all. He
• 34:40
Speaker 5: didn't do this free fall. He had a team, a legitimate,
• 34:43
Speaker 5: legitimate team that was interested and wanted him and wanted
• 34:46
Speaker 5: to bring him under Lamar Jackson's wing. I mean, we've
• 34:49
Speaker 5: seen that happen time and time, especially you know the
• 34:51
Speaker 5: good quarterbacks in the league.
• 34:52
Speaker 4: Look what happened with Aaron Rodgers or Aaron Rodgers and.
• 34:55
Speaker 5: Jordan love Well saying that could have ever happened to
• 34:57
Speaker 5: Jordan love I was.
• 34:58
Speaker 3: Going to say, like, why, why? How would you not
• 35:01
Speaker 3: going from college to pro? Why could why would you
• 35:05
Speaker 3: not be okay of playing behind I don't care what
• 35:08
Speaker 3: the position is, playing behind somebody who's a starter your
• 35:12
Speaker 3: first couple of years, I don't care how many years
• 35:14
Speaker 3: it takes for you to become that guy. Why would yeah,
• 35:17
Speaker 3: why wouldn't you be okay with that? And again, well,
• 35:21
Speaker 3: and just to answer the question, it's still the fifth round.
• 35:24
Speaker 3: It just would have been the third pick in the
• 35:27
Speaker 3: fifth round, so he would have went he would have
• 35:29
Speaker 3: went three or four positions up. But I think it's
• 35:32
Speaker 3: like Rex Ryan had mentioned in that clip. We didn't
• 35:36
Speaker 3: hear his comments, but he said should door probably don't
• 35:38
Speaker 3: think he need that much development. Probably thought I'll come
• 35:41
Speaker 3: in to Cleveland and I'll start regardless, you know what
• 35:44
Speaker 3: I mean, And I'll figure it out. I'll start eventually,
• 35:48
Speaker 3: which he still made. But I mean at this point
• 35:50
Speaker 3: he's not even getting scout team reps right now. I
• 35:53
  Speaker 3: mean he's literally I could see a situation it wouldn't
• 35:56
Speaker 3: surprise me if they cut him, maybe not this year,
• 35:59
Speaker 3: but next year. So I think it was just like
• 36:01
Speaker 3: I said, it's just a major miscalculation, and probably in
• 36:06
Speaker 3: his it probably would have been the best suit to
• 36:09
Speaker 3: go to the Ravens for a lot of different reasons.
• 36:11
Speaker 3: I agree with you, and I think I think he
• 36:18
Speaker 3: has to. And when I say separate himself from his dad, dude,
• 36:22
Speaker 3: you're not your dad. You are not that guy. You
• 36:26
Speaker 3: have some legitimate talent, for sure, but you are not
• 36:30
Speaker 3: your dad. And I think that's what I'm telling you,
• 36:32
  Speaker 3: I don't know him, but I think it's a lot
• 36:34
Speaker 3: of that. I do think he sees himself as prime
• 36:37
Speaker 3: time too, a prime time junior. And you ain't him,
• 36:41
Speaker 3: You ain't him, by close by him, and you are
• 36:44
Speaker 3: so far apart that you know you ain't him. Bro,
• 36:48
Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, Because I mean, even if
• 36:50
Speaker 3: you look at Colorado, he played well, he put up
• 36:52
  Speaker 3: some good numbers. Like I said, he's a legit I
• 36:54
Speaker 3: think arm talent as far as accuracy and all those things,
• 36:57
Speaker 3: ball placement like I mentioned before. But I mean, you
• 37:00
Speaker 3: had a barely winning record there. You didn't light it
• 37:03
Speaker 3: up as far as wins and losses are concerned. And athletically,
• 37:07
Speaker 3: you're nowhere near Prome.
• 37:09
  Speaker 6: No.
• 37:09
Speaker 4: Who created that monster? You know what I mean? I
• 37:12
Speaker 4: mean an overinflated ego.
• 37:13
Speaker 5: And here's the other part about the falsehood that I
• 37:16
Speaker 5: wanted to bring up real quick because I know, you
• 37:18
Speaker 5: know this is kind of off, this is kind of
• 37:20
Speaker 5: off to the side conversation. But he's still not admitting
• 37:24
Speaker 5: that the Ravens reached out to him, like he hasn't
• 37:28
Speaker 5: publicly come out and said, in fact, I think one
• 37:32
Speaker 5: of the reporters asked him about it, and he said,
• 37:34
Speaker 5: my mind doesn't remember five months ago like past draft,
• 37:39
Speaker 5: and we're focused on the now. So he wants to
• 37:42
Speaker 5: sweep it under the rug. He doesn't want the bad
• 37:43
Speaker 5: press that comes with it now. And to me, that's
• 37:46
Speaker 5: all part of the this vibe that I get from him,
• 37:49
Speaker 5: that it's he's just he thinks a lot of himself.
• 37:53
Speaker 3: And if you're going to create that kind of conversation, okay,
• 37:57
Speaker 3: and that kind of dialogue and and give us the
• 38:00
Speaker 3: opportunity to ask the question like bra, why would you
• 38:03
Speaker 3: why would you do that? Why don't you take go
• 38:05
Speaker 3: wherever whoever gets you go and play right? He has
• 38:11
Speaker 3: the idea of he is his dad, like I just
• 38:16
Speaker 3: think he he thinks his and and and I don't
• 38:19
Speaker 3: know if I can blame Dion Ford. I just think
• 38:23
Speaker 3: he feels that way.
• 38:25
Speaker 4: Oh you don't think played a part in that.
• 38:27
Speaker 3: I think Dion saw him as a great player. But
• 38:31
Speaker 3: I'm gonna, I'm gonna and it's hard not to have
• 38:34
Speaker 3: Dion around you that rub off right, right. But but
• 38:39
Speaker 3: I'll say this, if beonfair and and and imagine trying
• 38:45
Speaker 3: to compare your son to you you're going to give
• 38:49
Speaker 3: him the benefit of the doubt, Like, right, you know
• 38:51
Speaker 3: what I'm saying, Because it's your son, you can't say, oh,
• 38:53
Speaker 3: I was a ton better than my son. I'm speculating
• 39:00
Speaker 3: and looking at who Dion was and what what's his
• 39:08
Speaker 3: son's path? Where did he shine right to be great,
• 39:12
Speaker 3: to be the first pick to be Yeah, I mean
• 39:16
Speaker 3: it's he just doesn't have he Yeah, he just doesn't
• 39:19
Speaker 3: have that. Deon is the greatest athlete ever. In my book,
• 39:21
Speaker 3: he's the greatest athlete ever. There's no athlete greater than
• 39:26
Speaker 3: Deon Sanders, So to compare yourself to that. But I
• 39:28
Speaker 3: also think what happens too is that you know, when
• 39:32
Speaker 3: we're talking about a quarterback, you are a CEO of
• 39:36
Speaker 3: a multi billion dollar organization inside a multi global, trillion
• 39:42
Speaker 3: dollar conglomerate. So you have to conduct yourself. You have
• 39:47
Speaker 3: to be a certain way and the me me, guys,
• 39:51
Speaker 3: I'm talking and let's just walk with me here. There's
• 39:54
Speaker 3: never ever in the NFL history been a successful, multi
• 39:58
Speaker 3: time Pro Bowler, super Bowl winning quarterback that's been a
• 40:02
Speaker 3: MEMI guy. Those guys don't walk around with the go
• 40:04
Speaker 3: play with thee. Those aren't though, And I'm not saying good, bad,
• 40:09
Speaker 3: right or wrong. I'm just saying if you look at
• 40:11
Speaker 3: the Joe Montanas, the Tom Brady's, the John Elways and
• 40:14
Speaker 3: Steve McNair, the Warren Moons, even Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes,
• 40:18
Speaker 3: even Aaron Rodgers on the field is a guy off
• 40:22
Speaker 3: of he's quirky, but on the field you don't hear
• 40:25
Speaker 3: say you don't hear his teammates, Brett Fahr, he may
• 40:28
Speaker 3: be the closest with Joe Vial right, Jim McMahon, he
• 40:32
Speaker 3: had that sort of ara, but he had like one
• 40:34
Speaker 3: year and he was kind of fizzled after that. So
• 40:36
Speaker 3: I'm saying from if you're an NFL quarterback, you have
• 40:40
Speaker 3: to think like a CEO, and you have to present
• 40:43
Speaker 3: like a CEO. And I think teams are looking at
• 40:46
Speaker 3: that like we don't want that guy, even like if
• 40:48
Speaker 3: you look at it, and I'll be quiet. But even
• 40:50
Speaker 3: if a guy like Kirk Cousins, he's like he's not
• 40:53
Speaker 3: your CEO, but he's like the entroim CEO. He can
• 40:56
Speaker 3: come in, he can get your get your going, and
• 40:58
Speaker 3: then he can go by this way. He's not long term,
• 41:00
Speaker 3: but he sort of fits the bill, Russell Wilson fits
• 41:03
Speaker 3: the bill, and then we can move on. So even
• 41:06
Speaker 3: like a James Wissen and I think just shudor his
• 41:09
Speaker 3: his provado is probably going to be his downfall. See
• 41:13
Speaker 3: and I and and I and to that, I think
• 41:18
Speaker 3: I think when I when I think of him as
• 41:20
Speaker 3: a player, I think of him as an average draft
• 41:24
Speaker 3: pick coming through. I think he sees himself as maybe
• 41:28
Speaker 3: one of the best players in the draft. He's not.
• 41:33
Speaker 3: And and so if you're if you're thinking yourself that way,
• 41:37
Speaker 3: how are you what's coming across? What are you projecting?
• 41:40
Speaker 3: What are the owners seeing? What's the coaches going to see?
• 41:43
Speaker 3: And can't hide You can't hide that because that kind
• 41:46
Speaker 3: of arrogance is a show up. If Dion didn't have
• 41:50
Speaker 3: the skill set, we wouldn't know him as prime. You
• 41:54
Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, We wouldn't know him. He'd be
• 41:56
Speaker 3: a story that we remember, but he would never become prime.
• 42:01
Speaker 3: This young man is not primed. And again, arrogance at
• 42:06
Speaker 3: the quarterback position at the NFL level, it don't play
• 42:09
Speaker 3: it just it just because it's it's never just. And
• 42:13
Speaker 3: if you make it about you, you're going to make
• 42:15
Speaker 3: everybody in the whole organization pete off and you're gonna
• 42:18
Speaker 3: put a big old target on your forehead. So I
• 42:22
Speaker 3: don't know. I just think we'll wait and see. But
• 42:24
Speaker 3: I don't see this plan out well unless things dramatically.
• 42:28
Speaker 3: Which one was going to get cut? Which one of y'all,
• 42:31
Speaker 3: I said, he possibly get. I'm with you on that,
• 42:35
Speaker 3: I really do. And Bro, if you ain't getting Scout
• 42:39
Speaker 3: Team reps, I mean, maybe they don't want to get
• 42:44
Speaker 3: your hurt. I mean, but yeah, because they don't want
• 42:46
Speaker 3: to get your hurt because they don't want you to
• 42:48
Speaker 3: have to linger if we cut you. That's true, because
• 42:53
Speaker 3: you don't get when you stop getting reps, you know,
• 42:56
  Speaker 3: that's that's a bad sign. When you ain't number one.
• 43:00
Speaker 3: If you're the number one guy, right, if you the
• 43:03
Speaker 3: starter and you ain't getting a whole lot of reps,
• 43:06
Speaker 3: that means we're protecting it. Yeah, yeah, if you ain't.
• 43:10
Speaker 3: If you sitting there at number three, number four and
• 43:13
Speaker 3: you ain't get no reps, we ain't taking no risk
• 43:16
Speaker 3: of getting you hurt, because that might be a good
• 43:18
Speaker 3: old trade commodity might package you up.
• 43:22
  Speaker 6: There you go.
• 43:24
Speaker 4: Wish he'd went to the Ravens.
• 43:26
Speaker 3: Let me ask this question. Is he tradable? I think so.
• 43:31
  Speaker 3: I think I think a team will Again, you're not
• 43:34
Speaker 3: going to get a bunch for him as a fifth
• 43:36
Speaker 3: round draft pick, So I think in a package. I don't.
• 43:38
Speaker 3: I don't know we're gonna trade you and get all
• 43:40
Speaker 3: this back. I don't know about that. But I think
• 43:42
Speaker 3: he's he is tradable, trade cut her trade. I think
• 43:46
Speaker 3: he's tradable in the package. But I said, if they
• 43:48
Speaker 3: can't get what they looking for, I think he's cuttable,
• 43:51
Speaker 3: and I don't I'm getting your fifth round draft pick. Unfortunately.
• 43:53
Speaker 3: Did he deserve to go in fit?
• 43:54
  Speaker 6: Maybe?
• 43:55
Speaker 3: Maybe not, But I think, you know, if it's if
• 43:58
Speaker 3: it gets it On my end, the thing about it,
• 44:00
Speaker 3: man the owner that came out and just said, I
• 44:02
Speaker 3: ain't really you know what I'm saying that, And that's
• 44:07
Speaker 3: what I'm saying. Older never talk outside of outside of J. Jones's.
• 44:12
Speaker 3: Owner's never right, Literally, they never talked outside of d Jones.
• 44:16
Speaker 3: He's the only especially not about cutting not a popular guy.
• 44:20
Speaker 3: What you what you think of this draft? Pickles in
• 44:22
Speaker 3: the fifth round? So they don't want I don't. Yeah,
• 44:25
Speaker 3: it don't bowl at all.
• 44:27
Speaker 5: Hey, let's talk a little more NFL. Let's talk about
• 44:29
Speaker 5: what happened over in Cincinnati this past weekend. Yeah, yeah,
• 44:33
Speaker 5: what's going on there? I mean, can can they not
• 44:35
Speaker 5: find an O line to protect Joe?
• 44:38
  Speaker 6: Yeah?
• 44:38
Speaker 3: I mean, like you, like I said, I mean, even
• 44:41
Speaker 3: in lieu of an O line. I just think when
• 44:43
Speaker 3: we traded Nixon a couple of years ago, running back,
• 44:46
Speaker 3: I think that's who it was. Hopefully I'm not getting
• 44:48
Speaker 3: his name incorrect, but you know, if you're not going
• 44:52
Speaker 3: to have a great old line, you need a good
• 44:54
Speaker 3: running game. Yes, you gotta give him something him standing
• 44:57
Speaker 3: back there, I think he took the most Saxony League
• 45:00
Speaker 3: last year. He's getting back hicked. And then when you're
• 45:03
Speaker 3: down in games and you're trying to come back, that
• 45:05
Speaker 3: means you're passing forty and fifty times a game. And
• 45:08
Speaker 3: if you're doing that, obviously you succept people turning the
• 45:12
Speaker 3: heat up. They're turning the heat up, and it's just
• 45:14
Speaker 3: creating a situation where again it's kind of the inverse
• 45:17
Speaker 3: where you have this great quarterback who's on the cuss
• 45:20
Speaker 3: of of you know, internest prime and and really could
• 45:24
Speaker 3: be elite. But I don't know if he has the
• 45:27
Speaker 3: foundational pieces around him to actually fulfill that and hopefully,
• 45:31
Speaker 3: like I said, he's been hurt the last few years.
• 45:34
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, is it that hard to draft offensive lineman?
• 45:37
Speaker 4: I mean, is it? Is it?
• 45:41
  Speaker 5: I don't understand why that wouldn't be a focus when
• 45:43
Speaker 5: the draft rolls around.
• 45:44
Speaker 4: I mean, I understand the running back part too.
• 45:46
Speaker 5: I agree with that, but but you could also draft
• 45:48
Speaker 5: a couple of guys, you know some you.
• 45:51
Speaker 3: Gotta get a couple. You gotta get a couple no
• 45:54
Speaker 3: matter what. You gotta get d line O line guys
• 45:57
Speaker 3: all the time, like every cause you need it. Somebody's
• 46:01
Speaker 3: gonna go down. Some lineman if you if your left
• 46:03
Speaker 3: tackles down, man, you gotta have it. You gotta have
• 46:06
Speaker 3: a dude. You gotta have somebody who can make can
• 46:08
Speaker 3: can protect it. But similar to Cleveland Tencin A Bengals
• 46:12
Speaker 3: are terrible franchise. They're they're not a great historical franchise,
• 46:16
  Speaker 3: they're cheap, they're they're just not a good franch I
• 46:19
Speaker 3: don't know what it was with Ohio teams, but it's
• 46:22
Speaker 3: just not a good franchise. And these are the things
• 46:24
Speaker 3: that happen when you're again you have a potential elite
• 46:28
Speaker 3: quarterback and you're just getting banged up. And the more
• 46:32
Speaker 3: times that happens, I think, just the his windows get
• 46:35
Speaker 3: shorter and shorter. So hopefully we can you know, running back.
• 46:41
  Speaker 5: Possibility that he'll leave, I don't know about that. I
• 46:45
Speaker 5: don't know what his contracts like at all.
• 46:47
  Speaker 3: I'm not I don't either, But I'm gonna say this,
• 46:50
Speaker 3: the very first opportunity that he can play out his contract,
• 46:54
Speaker 3: I think I'm playing that out. Yeah. And I mean
• 46:56
Speaker 3: and for him, it's like, shoot, if I can go
• 46:58
Speaker 3: to again a better organization, do I think the question?
• 47:01
Speaker 3: And the thing is he is. He's a an Ohio kid.
• 47:04
Speaker 3: So for him from the yeah, he's representing more than
• 47:07
Speaker 3: just the Bengals. He's kind of sort of representing this
• 47:10
Speaker 3: Ohio you know what I mean. But but but but
• 47:12
Speaker 3: in representing, he's not he's not able to do what
• 47:19
Speaker 3: he's capable of doing because he because of the organization itself.
• 47:24
  Speaker 3: I mean, it's not it's not helping it. Right, We'll
• 47:28
Speaker 3: we'll see, man. I mean, like I said, hopefully, hopefully
• 47:32
  Speaker 3: things turn around.
• 47:33
  Speaker 6: Man.
• 47:33
Speaker 3: And we've seen but we also see Patrick Mahomes. He's
• 47:36
Speaker 3: going to Yeah, so he took the loss to the
• 47:38
Speaker 3: Philadelphia Philadelphia Eagles, which was a really good game. And then,
• 47:41
Speaker 3: like like I said last week, these games have been
• 47:45
Speaker 3: fous great to that to that game, there is Kansas
• 47:55
Speaker 3: City on the other side of great this like, is
• 48:02
Speaker 3: Philadelphia now rising to the top, are they going and
• 48:06
Speaker 3: Kansas City dropping? Or is that just Philadelphia beat it?
• 48:09
Speaker 3: Here's what good team. Here's what I'll say. My opinion
• 48:12
Speaker 3: is that yes, now Kansas City isn't done yet. But
• 48:16
Speaker 3: like I said, when you spent the last four or
• 48:18
Speaker 3: five six seasons making deep playoff runs, playing in the
• 48:21
Speaker 3: Super Bowl and your core, you still have that core intact,
• 48:25
Speaker 3: those guys are tired. Those guys are worn out. Those
• 48:28
Speaker 3: guys you know how it goes, like you done played
• 48:29
Speaker 3: a bunch of football. And I think for them it's
• 48:32
Speaker 3: going to take them three, four or five, maybe even
• 48:36
Speaker 3: six games ish. They'll get some wins in between there
• 48:38
Speaker 3: to really warm it up. Like, I think, these guys
• 48:41
Speaker 3: are incredibly tired because they played a bunch of football.
• 48:44
Speaker 3: But I do think you know, as far as the
• 48:47
Speaker 3: team doing the back end, and I think next year
• 48:49
Speaker 3: moving forward, they're going to have to take a hard
• 48:51
Speaker 3: look at some of the pieces and start to replace
• 48:53
Speaker 3: some of their core pieces.
• 48:55
Speaker 4: And here's some food for thought, guys.
• 48:56
Speaker 5: If this is the first time since Week ten of
• 48:59
Speaker 5: twenty twenty one, they are not the favorites to win
• 49:02
  Speaker 5: the AFC.
• 49:03
Speaker 3: West, I'm telling you.
• 49:04
Speaker 4: And we could be witnessing the Dynasty.
• 49:07
Speaker 3: Broncos, the Chargers, the Raiders, they've all gotten better in
• 49:10
Speaker 3: the AFC West. So everybody's getting better, and you're getting older,
• 49:14
Speaker 3: and you got a bunch of mouths on see that's yeah,
• 49:16
Speaker 3: And see, I think that's the hard piece when you
• 49:19
Speaker 3: when you were great four years ago, five years ago,
• 49:22
Speaker 3: ten years last year, you know, and year after year
• 49:27
Speaker 3: after year after year, and you're you know, all of
• 49:31
  Speaker 3: a sudden, there's a there's a turnaround to somebody's gonna
• 49:36
Speaker 3: get older. Okay, somebody's you know, a cornerback over there,
• 49:40
Speaker 3: he's just paying Yes, all those kind of things, All
• 49:45
Speaker 3: those kind of things happen and are distractions and change
• 49:49
Speaker 3: the dynamics of the foundation of that core group of players,
• 49:53
Speaker 3: and you watch them leave one by one. You know.
• 49:57
Speaker 3: I can remember being in the Vikings and literally we
• 50:02
Speaker 3: started we were we were doing some winning and had
• 50:06
Speaker 3: some good games, had some good pushes going to the playoffs,
• 50:09
Speaker 3: and then all of a sudden it was like two
• 50:12
Speaker 3: or three guys gone. Yeah, two or three more guys gone.
• 50:15
Speaker 3: You know, year after year season that season they start
• 50:19
Speaker 3: chipping away at those guys who are who they're thinking,
• 50:24
Speaker 3: we can do better than that.
• 50:25
  Speaker 6: Yeah.
• 50:25
Speaker 3: I just they just played a bunch of football, man,
• 50:28
Speaker 3: And like I but so you think it's a bunch
• 50:30
  Speaker 3: of football football. I mean, it's what you're saying. I
• 50:34
Speaker 3: was guys, guys, you know, moving on to different teams organizations,
• 50:38
Speaker 3: as you get successful, you want to get chase the
• 50:40
Speaker 3: big count and count them out.
• 50:41
  Speaker 6: Yeah.
• 50:42
  Speaker 3: I ain't count them out. I just think it's gonna
• 50:43
Speaker 3: take them a long time to warm up. Yeah. And
• 50:45
Speaker 3: speaking of woman up, like, I watched the the New
• 50:48
Speaker 3: York Giants and Cowboys game. Another great game it was.
• 50:52
Speaker 3: I watched the kicker go out there and makes a
• 50:56
Speaker 3: sixty four yard field goal with ten yards of spare. Yes,
• 51:01
Speaker 3: that guy could have made it seventy yard.
• 51:04
Speaker 4: A former soccer player or something like.
• 51:07
Speaker 3: These kickers are crazy crazy. I can't believe the foot
• 51:12
Speaker 3: the leg on these guys.
• 51:14
Speaker 4: And I'm he won the game too. For the Cowboys.
• 51:17
Speaker 3: They want to get Yeah, that that wasn't that wasn't
• 51:19
  Speaker 3: the winning kick.
• 51:20
Speaker 5: They want to know, I know, the sixty four yard
• 51:22
Speaker 5: but then they kick right, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that's
• 51:25
  Speaker 5: what I mean.
• 51:25
Speaker 3: I'm trying like, if you kicked a forty some yarder,
• 51:30
Speaker 3: that was a big deal and more more, And if
• 51:33
Speaker 3: you got a fifty oh my gosh, that's that's crazy.
• 51:37
Speaker 3: This dude's kicking it from the other side of the Yes, yes,
• 51:40
Speaker 3: he's on the other side of you know what I'm saying,
• 51:44
  Speaker 3: Like he's gold.
• 51:45
Speaker 4: I'm telling him player the Cowboys.
• 51:49
Speaker 3: When he lined it up, I'm looking like, hell, I'm thinking,
• 51:52
Speaker 3: like it'll be short, It'll be it'll be wide, like
• 51:55
Speaker 3: just wide left, bro. That thing was straight down the
• 51:58
Speaker 3: middle and he had like ten yards of stick. It
• 52:00
Speaker 3: was beautiful. A seventy yard field goal. It was. It
• 52:04
Speaker 3: was amazing, man, And like, how does that change the
• 52:07
Speaker 3: dynamic of the game. Now you team's todd It's get
• 52:15
Speaker 3: to the fifth. All you got to do is get
• 52:17
Speaker 3: to the fair get and you're good.
• 52:19
Speaker 5: You get your your kicker cans up a whole lot
• 52:23
Speaker 5: of opportunities for the whole team, the offense, the defense, everybody.
• 52:26
Speaker 4: When you know your kicker can do that.
• 52:28
Speaker 3: I think, yes, if you don't have that kicker, yeah,
• 52:31
Speaker 3: you're in trouble. Yeah, because because teams are gonna beat
• 52:35
Speaker 3: you in that last second. With those kind of kickers,
• 52:39
  Speaker 3: I can't even and I don't know if it's just
• 52:41
Speaker 3: the whole soccer that it's just the soccer leg that's
• 52:44
Speaker 3: just so much stronger, so much better than it than
• 52:48
Speaker 3: just quote regular kickers, guys who have just kicked. But
• 52:52
Speaker 3: I think, now all those dudes play soccer.
• 52:55
Speaker 5: Did you No, you didn't, Okay, think what would even
• 53:01
  Speaker 5: make you think?
• 53:02
Speaker 3: What would even make you think that? And also I
• 53:07
Speaker 3: know we talked the NFL. I don't think we have
• 53:09
Speaker 3: that much time left. But there were some great college games. Uh,
• 53:12
Speaker 3: you had Georgia versus excuse me, Clemson versus Georgia Tech,
• 53:15
Speaker 3: Georgia versus Tennessee. Obviously we talked about the backyard brawl,
• 53:20
Speaker 3: you know Alabama not Alabama. Sorry, but yet there was
• 53:23
Speaker 3: just some great again Texas A and m versus Dame.
• 53:28
Speaker 3: Just great. It's been just great football. And I just
• 53:32
Speaker 3: want to talk about four seconds. I know, like a
• 53:34
Speaker 3: lot of people talking about like arch Manny and he
• 53:37
Speaker 3: struggled against Utah, and I just want to go on
• 53:41
Speaker 3: record and say, I think it's just it's just my
• 53:44
Speaker 3: opinion from watching him, he has a serious shoulder issue.
• 53:47
Speaker 3: You think, just my opinion. I have no insight, I
• 53:50
Speaker 3: have no details, but just watching him throw the football,
• 53:52
Speaker 3: Doctor lewis in the house telling you just being a quarterback,
• 53:55
  Speaker 3: he has a serious shoulder problem. I don't think he's
• 53:58
Speaker 3: letting anybody know what. They're keeping it in house because
• 54:01
  Speaker 3: I wouldn't say it's a mechanical issue, because obviously he's
• 54:04
Speaker 3: a man, and he's got his uncles and they could
• 54:06
Speaker 3: and even his dad and his granddaddy probably worked through
• 54:09
Speaker 3: a mechanical issue. But I think he has a serious
• 54:12
Speaker 3: show the problem. And I think in the next couple
• 54:14
Speaker 3: of months, depending on how things fall, if they feels
• 54:17
Speaker 3: by himself, well, I think it's already shown. But I
• 54:20
Speaker 3: think they'll they'll say something about it if they find themselves,
• 54:23
Speaker 3: like outside the playoffs, and to repair it because something's
• 54:26
Speaker 3: not right, because he's totally inaccurate. I mean, he's missing
• 54:29
Speaker 3: wide open guys and routine. Why wouldn't you, Why wouldn't
• 54:32
Speaker 3: you if I was an uncle, I was a dad
• 54:36
Speaker 3: and had played. And I know that I'm getting him
• 54:40
Speaker 3: out of that, but that can't you can't make his
• 54:41
Speaker 3: grown man. You can't make it. And plus I think
• 54:44
Speaker 3: he's thinking it's a lot of pressures his year, possibly
• 54:47
Speaker 3: win the Heisman, he could set himself up for a
• 54:49
  Speaker 3: first round draft.
• 54:51
Speaker 13: But yeah, that's it's over now, Yeah, that's done. But well,
• 54:55
Speaker 13: if he was, where's the SEC if he wins, you think.
• 55:03
Speaker 3: It's all Yeah, the only way it could even remote,
• 55:09
Speaker 3: the only one, the only way that that's going to
• 55:14
Speaker 3: be possible if his dad and uncles and all them
• 55:16
Speaker 3: getting But I'm saying, if you win the SEC, Like
• 55:20
Speaker 3: right now, I think they're going into SEC play. So
• 55:23
Speaker 3: it is individual, I know, But I'm just saying, if
• 55:25
Speaker 3: he if he just shows out he has great games
• 55:28
Speaker 3: the next six seven grand, you don't think he can
• 55:30
Speaker 3: claw his way back. I don't think there's the games
• 55:33
Speaker 3: would be would have to be so great. I mean,
• 55:38
Speaker 3: you're right that that it's because he's looked terrible. Yeah,
• 55:42
Speaker 3: and he'd I mean, he'd have to like break records
• 55:45
Speaker 3: and you know what I'm saying to have any any
• 55:49
Speaker 3: legitimate But I'm telling you and I want to here here. First,
• 55:52
Speaker 3: he has a shoulder issue and he has a shower.
• 55:55
Speaker 3: Now I'm telling watch, I can tell by the way
• 55:58
Speaker 3: he throws something wrong. Okay, your quarterback, you know how
• 56:03
Speaker 3: it's supposed to look. Is it possible that he just
• 56:06
Speaker 3: is it's just an awkward throw. Nah, because the way
• 56:10
Speaker 3: he's overcome, like when you have a shoulder issue, like
• 56:12
Speaker 3: for example, some throws, you're not gonna be able to
• 56:15
Speaker 3: set your feet. You're gonna run you how that goes,
• 56:17
Speaker 3: So it's sort of a body movement. And then it's
• 56:19
Speaker 3: some issues you have a defensive linement holding and you
• 56:22
Speaker 3: you just gotta flick it out there. The way he's
• 56:25
Speaker 3: throwing the ball, it's almost it's a body push because
• 56:27
Speaker 3: he can't get rotation on that throw. So he's not rotating.
• 56:30
Speaker 3: He's not rotating, and he's not coming over, so it's
• 56:33
Speaker 3: elbow sunk. And he's almost like a three quarters a
• 56:36
Speaker 3: half to almost a side arm because I think he's
• 56:40
Speaker 3: having trouble getting that shoulder all the way up, excuse me,
• 56:42
Speaker 3: getting that shoulder and the elbow aligned, and and and
• 56:45
Speaker 3: he's and he's almost pushing the ball, which if you're
• 56:48
Speaker 3: pushing the ball is going to create a level of inaccuracy.
• 56:50
  Speaker 4: So why wouldn't.
• 56:53
Speaker 3: No way, But you're not gonna leave he again. He
• 56:57
Speaker 3: may not be telling him this, you know.
• 57:01
Speaker 4: If you can tell, they can tell.
• 57:02
Speaker 3: I would I would think I would think so. And
• 57:05
Speaker 3: but but I do understand who's going to bench. Yeah
• 57:09
Speaker 3: they're not doing Yeah, you're not doing that.
• 57:11
Speaker 5: For again so horribly that it ruins his career for forever.
• 57:18
Speaker 3: But I mean, it could be like I said, and
• 57:20
Speaker 3: I say, serious, let me take that back. It could
• 57:22
Speaker 3: be tend to night, it could be a budget, could
• 57:26
Speaker 3: could be sore anything. It's something. But he's not. He's
• 57:30
Speaker 3: not himself. I was gonna say, I'm saying, go watch him,
• 57:33
Speaker 3: Like I said, anybody listening to y'all, anybody go watch
• 57:36
Speaker 3: some clips of him throwing and you'll see them in
• 57:39
Speaker 3: acurate throws and somethings off. That's just not mechanical. Well,
• 57:45
Speaker 3: we we got we got some doctor, some some doctor
• 57:49
  Speaker 3: from from.
• 57:51
Speaker 5: Quarterback and quarterback coming out of.
• 57:55
Speaker 3: What's interesting to me, though, is what I know about
• 57:59
Speaker 3: this conversation is that when you're watching it, you're not
• 58:05
Speaker 3: like just watching the game, like you're watching that position.
• 58:08
Speaker 3: You're watching at that.
• 58:09
Speaker 4: Position that's his mindset quarterback.
• 58:12
Speaker 3: So you don't really just watch the game. You you
• 58:14
  Speaker 3: you're you're kind of watching. When I'm watching you, I'll
• 58:19
Speaker 3: start offensive line, all kind of tape there, then immediately
• 58:24
Speaker 3: just go Then I'm going downfield. I wish I could
• 58:27
Speaker 3: watch the game from an up from the other angle.
• 58:29
Speaker 3: I wish they would show the game from behind the
• 58:31
Speaker 3: quarterback so I can really just see downfield. So that's
• 58:35
Speaker 3: kind of the way in which I watched the game,
• 58:37
Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And then when quarterbacks are throwing,
• 58:40
Speaker 3: I'm not looking at just the pos mechanics. I'm looking
• 58:42
Speaker 3: at ball place kind of where they're you know, different
• 58:46
Speaker 3: things like that like Pennis has a he has he
• 58:50
Speaker 3: has damn Marino quickness and that thing jumps off his
• 58:53
Speaker 3: office hand. Pinnick from the quarterback from Atlanta pum he does.
• 59:00
Speaker 3: I wondered if it's that is how I say see
• 59:03
Speaker 3: it looks like, yeah, okay, so here's here's here's something
• 59:08
Speaker 3: that's interesting, and we're getting ready to have to get
• 59:11
Speaker 3: out of here. But like for me, I can't, like
• 59:14
  Speaker 3: I'm I can't watch defensive backs. I don't like to
• 59:18
  Speaker 3: watch it because when I watch, I'm I don't like
• 59:22
Speaker 3: the critique it cause you know, I don't want to say,
• 59:24
Speaker 3: like somebody who's really good in the league now and
• 59:27
Speaker 3: I'm like, oh man, he you know, he he didn't
• 59:29
Speaker 3: do this, he didn't do that. I don't like that
• 59:31
Speaker 3: because I feel like people were doing that when I
• 59:35
Speaker 3: was playing, you know, you know, And I just feel
• 59:38
Speaker 3: uncomfortable in critiquing defensive backs on the defensive side of
• 59:44
  Speaker 3: the ball.
• 59:45
Speaker 5: He doesn't open my eyes because it must be hard,
• 59:48
  Speaker 5: like you're a quarterback, you're a former defensive player to
• 59:51
Speaker 5: watch these other like you're analyzing. I never even thought
• 59:54
Speaker 5: about this made this connection different. You guys like you
• 59:57
Speaker 5: guys don't watch the game through the same like mindset
• 1:00:00
Speaker 5: that I do. Like I'm not analyzing, like I would
• 1:00:03
Speaker 5: have never thought about his shoulder, like I just think,
• 1:00:05
  Speaker 5: oh he's off, you know, or you're you're you're comparing
• 1:00:07
Speaker 5: you know, these players to you know yourself or others.
• 1:00:10
Speaker 4: I just never thought about it.
• 1:00:12
Speaker 3: I mean, then we've got to wrap up. But it's
• 1:00:13
Speaker 3: not even hosting for Pitt playing the backyard ball he took.
• 1:00:17
Speaker 3: He looked uncomfortable hole game, and I knew he was
• 1:00:19
Speaker 3: gonna have a rough game, the whole game, because he
• 1:00:21
Speaker 3: couldn't see the field. All right, Well, ladies and gentlemen,
• 1:00:25
Speaker 3: we've got to get out of here. We will catch
