  Speaker 1: been big in my life. God, God is a gentleman,

  Speaker 1: out to you. God is an absolute gentleman. He will

  Speaker 1: not come in unless he's invited. He don't just barge

  Speaker 1: into your life. He gives us the power of choice.

  Speaker 1: You know, if you say you got it, I don't

  Speaker 1: need you, he lets you have it. If you say

  Speaker 1: I need you, come see about me.

  Speaker 2: He right there. It's just a real simple thing, man.

  Speaker 1: So always say to people this, if you've gotten yourself

  Speaker 1: into something, and please know I have.

  Speaker 1: That's why I'm so adamant about it, because I've gotten

  Speaker 1: myself in some circumstances and positions in my life. Well,

  Speaker 1: I've been, I've been. I've had some low moments. Man,

  Speaker 1: I've had some moments where I did not know what
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: to do. I didn't know what was next, I didn't
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: know how to go about it. I didn't have no

  Speaker 1: more ideas. I was stuck I thought a couple of times, well,

  Speaker 1: might not make it past this one. But then if

  Speaker 1: I don't make it past it, what's gonna happen? And

  Speaker 1: then I held on to this little thing that my
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: mother kept talking to me about. She said, sometimes some
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: when you ain't got nothing else in you, just hope,
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: she said, just hope it'll be all right, you know.

  Speaker 1: And what I've learned in my life is that hope
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: is the beginning of faith. Hope is just is there

  Speaker 1: possibility out there for me? I show hope, something happened.

  Speaker 1: See hope is okay, man, Because like I say, for me,

  Speaker 1: the way I've lived my life, hope was the beginning
• 2:15
  Speaker 1: of faith.

  Speaker 2: It was just the idea.

  Speaker 1: It's just the thought that something could change for me,

  Speaker 1: that something could be a little bit different from me,

  Speaker 1: that maybe, man, just maybe for some reason, I could

  Speaker 1: be saved, I could be rescued, things could turn around,

  Speaker 1: it could hit any other direction.

  Speaker 2: Maybe I could quit messing up.

  Speaker 1: Maybe somebody will forgive me, maybe somebody will just say

  Speaker 1: all right. I don't know, but I can't count the

  Speaker 1: times I've been in that position. But then once I

  Speaker 1: hope a little bit, and then I remember, also my mother.

  Speaker 1: Because she was a Sunday school teacher. She taught me
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: the most valuable lesson I've ever learned in my life.

  Speaker 1: Nothing has been greater in my life than my faith.

  Speaker 1: She taught me to pray. Mama used to say, when
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: it get real, dog for your son, prayer changes things.

  Speaker 2: She said.

  Speaker 1: When you seem like you lost and you can't find

  Speaker 1: your way, stop and pray, she said, because prayer change

  Speaker 1: is things. You know, when you get a point in

  Speaker 1: your life when you've done all you can do and

  Speaker 1: you can't do no more, and you just don't know

  Speaker 1: what to do next, she says, stop, son, pray and

  Speaker 1: combine that prayer with that hope that you got, she said,

  Speaker 1: because that hope is the beginning of faith.

  Speaker 2: She said.

  Speaker 1: If you pray just hoping, she said, to God come
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: through for you. That'll give you confidence that he can
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: do it again. And then after a while you quit hoping,
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: she saying, you start believing, say, and that's when you're
• 4:00
  Speaker 1: on to something. If you can turn that hope into belief,
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: that hope into faith, that's that's the ability to believe
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: in something that you can't see. But the key though
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: the faith is you're believing in something that you can't see.

  Speaker 1: See hoping a little bit different from me. Now, I'm
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: pretty sure. Like I say oftentimes to tell a lot
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: of people who can explain this thing a lot better
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: than I can to you, hope is just kind of.

  Speaker 2: I don't know how to I don't know how to

  Speaker 2: say it. But I'm just telling you. Hope is.

  Speaker 1: You're just hoping it work right. You just have a

  Speaker 1: thought in your mind that you know, Man, whoever you are,

  Speaker 1: or whoever you are, whatever you are to me God,

  Speaker 1: I show hope something change. Hope helps.

  Speaker 1: If you ain't strong enough to have faith, have hope, hope,

  Speaker 1: and then if you pray with some hope and God

  Speaker 1: answers your prayer, then that hope gains a little confidence,

  Speaker 1: and after a while that confidence becomes faith. Now I
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: ain't just hoping, but I'm believing. I'm believing in something
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: that I cannot see. Faith has been the key to
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: my entire existence, even when I didn't.

  Speaker 2: Have any.

  Speaker 1: It was faith, as I look back on it, that
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: has gotten me here, and not just faith, but my faith. See,

  Speaker 1: you will only get to where you're going in your
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: life based on your faith. See a lot of people
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: get the word faith confused, like what's your faith? And
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: then they start going down this whole list of all

  Speaker 1: these different religions out here. But really an essence, man,

  Speaker 1: when I talk to people about faith, I'm talking to
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: you about your your belief.

  Speaker 2: How much do you believe in the unseen? See?

  Speaker 1: Faith is the core of all that is happening to

  Speaker 1: me today. It is the faith that I have in
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: my relationship with God that enables me to just oftentimes
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: if I stay on the right course and believe a
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: certain way and act a certain way, his blessings just poor.

  Speaker 1: They just come. And it comes in a lot of
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: little ways too. I've started to notice. See, it ain't
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: just a lot of people think blessings is money, Nah, man,
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: that ain't it. It's coverage. It's every time my plane
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: lands safe. It's every time they predict bad wealth that

  Speaker 1: I get up in the sky and it don't be
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: no bad wather. You know this is this is favor.

  Speaker 1: These are blessings that get poured out to me. Somebody

  Speaker 1: call me and offer me something, not money, but an opportunity.

  Speaker 2: See, blessings come a lot of ways. But once you.

  Speaker 1: Tie in to God, once you tie in and you

  Speaker 1: start doing the best you can do, and you start

  Speaker 1: asking for him to make you a better person, to

  Speaker 1: help shape and mold you into the kind of man

  Speaker 1: or person that he wants you to be. You be

  Speaker 1: amazed what God can do with you, man, if you

  Speaker 1: just invite me in and allow him to be a
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: part of your life.

  Speaker 2: I mean, what you got to lose out there? Come on, why.

  Speaker 1: Would you not change? Why would you not allow God

  Speaker 1: to be a part of your life. God got some
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: big plans for you. If he didn't, you wouldn't keep
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: waking up.
