- 6:58[SPEAKER_07]: Well, anyway, it just...
- 6:59[SPEAKER_07]: talks about the naming renaming of the arena or announces rather than credit union city of water town announced a rena naming rights partnership everything's a partnership now what's it going to be called officially northern credit union community arena
- 7:27[SPEAKER_07]: It depends on what happens in the style book for a local media, particularly Channel 7 since they're the most pervasive media here.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_07]: Well, there's style books say that you have to refer to it as admirable, it just continued to be the Fairgrounds Arena.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_07]: They were the arena.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, go and skate tonight at the arena.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_07]: Our people are going to say I'm going skating at the Northern Credit Union Community Arena.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_07]: Well, the city got some money out of it.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_07]: So they haven't put any lettering up or anything.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_07]: We'll see.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_07]: We'll see what happens.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_07]: We don't have a style book here.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_07]: But that's something that like media outlets have.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_07]: When I was working at seven, there was a style book based on the AP style book, but I don't know if they have one now.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_07]: Um, somebody checks in.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_07]: We used to call the University of Coffee in Street.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_07]: I had never heard that.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_07]: Never heard that.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_07]: I'm about there and you see, they're so I went there.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_07]: I had some good times there and I remember one time they were, um, yeah, there was so many things that went on at JCC when I was there.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_07]: uh... streaking yeah that was when that one happened and it did happen up there fact i got a picture of it and i ended up using it in the water town times and then there was uh... used to make those social service IDs on this polaroid thing that they had and you could easily just put whatever day to birthday wanted on them so you can make it yeah you could do that
- 9:22[SPEAKER_07]: And then what else did we do up there?
- 9:24[SPEAKER_07]: There were the way they had some great concerts at the student union, or whatever you call it now.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_07]: That was a lot of fun.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_07]: But all that fun is gone now because of the drinking aids thing.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_07]: So it's, I don't know.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if college is as fun as it used to be, but it used to be a lot of fun.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_07]: And let's see, back then, a lot of it.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_07]: The teachers were young back then and because they were dating the students because they teen was okay.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_07]: So I mean that was what went on.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but that was a long time ago.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_07]: I'm sure they've cracked down on all that.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, what else is there here?
- 10:07[SPEAKER_07]: Talk to about the news.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_07]: Who's our arena?
- 10:13[SPEAKER_07]: Well, they're the weather's nice today.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_07]: Can't beat it.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_07]: Continue to have a nice weather as we.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_07]: The last, is this the last week of summer, really?
- 10:22[SPEAKER_07]: Not by the calendar, it isn't.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_07]: But should we call it that?
- 10:26[SPEAKER_07]: Because next Tuesday, a week from tomorrow, no, you can't wear summer white.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_07]: There is a color called winter white, which you can wear as it gets further in, like December, but no more white clothes, no white belts or shoes as of next, a week from tomorrow.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, there'll be a penalty if you do if he's caught doing that.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_07]: So I see there was a I was just watching Diana had a reaction piece to the Lake America thing.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_07]: Is they didn't really acknowledge that story early on because they don't like Trump over there.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_07]: And they interviewed some guy with an Indian head dress on who was mad once the president to apologize.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I haven't seen too many people who are real supportive of this.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_07]: Most people just don't care.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_07]: But it is kind of interesting.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know what's now that it's soaked in.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_07]: It's become part of the North Country mental state there.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_07]: There's been reported a little bit in our local media.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_07]: Do you have a comment on it?
- 11:38[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_07]: No?
- 11:39[SPEAKER_07]: OK. That's all right.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_07]: There's some topics for you to get us started on this Monday,
- 11:46[SPEAKER_07]: They have August.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_07]: You know, when you say it's August 31st, the next thing you have to say is, wait, there's summer wind quickly, didn't it?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_07]: Yep.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_07]: Summer wind quickly.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_07]: It's like good sleep in weather.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_07]: It's one of those little things you say in response to something else.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_07]: So, just to thought, there were some tragedies.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_07]: There were a couple of people killed and poured light down the traffic accident.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_07]: That's tragic.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_07]: and uh... other accidents as well so we don't we don't like to see anything bad happened to anybody not really i'm not not a hate or anything else all let's see what else is on news junkie oh here's a thing that you know it should go back to school
- 12:40[SPEAKER_07]: You have to get in touch with the nomenclature of students.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_07]: What was that thing with seven something?
- 12:46[SPEAKER_07]: Was the big deal last year, six, seven or something like that?
- 12:49[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know what it meant.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_07]: But there is a school slang, yeah.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_07]: And you know, you have to learn it.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, six, seven, yeah, that was it.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_07]: Never really knew what it meant.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_07]: But boy, they said, I talked to people in this, in the school business, they said people said it, you know.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_07]: Here's another one.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_07]: Eight or each used to describe someone doing a great job.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, or a you are a used in the same way older generations might have used the phrase cool factor or star quality.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_07]: Why you say someone is quite an orative and that's not a new phrase.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_07]: Brain rot, a term to describe low quality, addictive content online.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_07]: There's a lot of that.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_07]: Chat is like saying, guys are y'all.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, well, I didn't know all of this.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_07]: Chopped, CHOPPED, is another way of saying someone's ugly or unattractive.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that girl is chopped.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_07]: Hmm.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_07]: and it's people involved with the internet culture and you know, chud used to use as an insult to describe someone synonymous with past negative slangs, such as loser or flop.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_07]: You're a chud, you know.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_07]: Clanker or derogatory term for robots, since clock it, you know, to clock something means to notice or observe a truth.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, looks maxing.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_07]: That's important these days, though.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_07]: Anyway, the article is in the Florida today.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_13]: Reach it through news junkie.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_07]: Kind of interesting.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_07]: You want to get up on what, as the kids go back to school, what they're saying when they get home, will they be saying six, seven this year?
- 14:57[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_07]: You tell me.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_07]: Boy, but I never knew what it meant last year.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_07]: why got some good service at kitties this morning i've needed a couple items and they were across the store you know and uh... that nice head pharmacist there went and got him for me as i was back at the back counter i thought that was very nice you know you get those kitties mini prices and all of that stuff in that good service to boot so uh... that was a good good thing i say nice things about people i do

- 20:23[SPEAKER_07]: I remember when we used to have that lady in here from substance abuse and she'd rail against marijuana.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_07]: It was a gateway drug and all of that.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_07]: Now they all say, hey, it's great.

- 22:00[SPEAKER_07]: We never really got any explanation for anybody on the whole, and I know they want more money, and they want the city to do this and that.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_07]: And it's going to become more problematic when national grid deal ends, because then you're actually paying for power.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_07]: A lot of those questions were never answered about finances and I don't know what the big secret is.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.

- 22:34[SPEAKER_07]: But we'll see how she does.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_07]: She has a dog.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_07]: A white dog.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_07]: Looks good animal lover.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_07]: We assume you got to be an animal lover if you're running the zoo So anyway That's in and I haven't seen that anywhere else in the news.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_07]: I just got the press release email to me today So I I thought maybe you get a press release it becomes news then but I guess not Yeah, let's see And there's press release on the arena
- 23:15[SPEAKER_07]: You know, good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, hey.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, Tammy.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_11]: Hey, I don't have good.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_11]: Um, this all the thing about the zoo is that unless you're from around here, you've been here a while.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_11]: You don't even know it's there.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_11]: There's no marketing, there's no advertising, there's no outreach, except for
- 23:46[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, what I get from listeners of old radio, because I like to know what's going on, I always listen to the terrestrial, is that I guess they really like begging for money, but they probably able to be able to get more money if they do some outreach, you know?
- 24:07[SPEAKER_11]: Let people know you're there, let them know what you have.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_11]: But like they had a mobile vehicle, they'd bring out things for kids to touch like...
- 24:20[UNKNOWN]: Right.
- 24:21[UNKNOWN]: The animal skins and bugs, things like that.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_11]: But they don't do anything.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I gave him that Moosehead one time and they'd never put it on display anywhere.
- 24:35[UNKNOWN]: See?
- 24:35[SPEAKER_11]: Why not?
- 24:35[SPEAKER_07]: I mean... That Moosehead was not important because I gave it to him.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_07]: It had a lot of history in West Carthage where it was in a window for years, decades.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_11]: but they never they never used it for any they probably just threw it out or something yeah they probably did because i don't know what i don't know what i'll say do besides i know there's animals up there i know and i don't know this because you know i used to go i don't go anymore because like it's just that see it go downhill um... and it's just they don't do anything they have parties up there today still have
- 25:15[SPEAKER_11]: do they still have the aquatic area with the native turtles, do they still have anything the fact wolves, they have wolves and they had like I don't know what were they
- 25:43[SPEAKER_07]: Listen, I have deer in my backyard, you can come over and look at that.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, they don't have, they don't have white tail deer.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_11]: But anyway, it's just kind of frustrating.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_11]: It's just sad.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_11]: Just go ahead and pull the trigger already and close up, shop, donate your animals to other places, and you know, then it won't be a worry about the money
- 26:15[SPEAKER_07]: Mm-hmm.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_07]: Wow.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_07]: You got a very downer today.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_11]: Well, you know, it's, uh...
- 26:22[SPEAKER_07]: So, what are you, what are you going to call the arena in the future?
- 26:27[SPEAKER_11]: Uh, Ward, Carolina.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_07]: Right.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_11]: How about you?
- 26:33[SPEAKER_07]: Well, hey, it depends.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_07]: You know, if we're told we have to call it this, we will.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_07]: But, um...
- 26:42[SPEAKER_07]: I think most people just call it the arena for grounds or you know whatever, hate to say that.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it's the only arena that we have.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_07]: But now it's called the Northern Credit Union Community Arena.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, I do like the Northern Credit Union.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_11]: I'm a member there.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_07]: I've heard good things about the good bank.
- 27:05[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, it is.
- 27:05[UNKNOWN]: It's a great bank.
- 27:07[UNKNOWN]: And they do all sorts of things with the community.
- 27:09[UNKNOWN]: I mean, they do more stuff.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_07]: Mm-hmm.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_07]: Did they have animals out there?
- 27:17[SPEAKER_11]: Um...
- 27:18[SPEAKER_11]: If they do, they're probably ones that they don't want, like, probably mice or pigeons or something.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_11]: Everybody gets those, I think.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_07]: Hmm.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_07]: Somebody just texted me.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_07]: So Tammy has to be your worst collar.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_07]: I never thought that.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_11]: Ha ha ha ha.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_11]: That's fine.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_11]: There's plenty.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, whoever said that should call in, then.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, they should, right?
- 27:45[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_11]: Behind us next.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_11]: All right.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, yeah, I don't care.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_07]: Well, it's good to hear from you.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_11]: Nice to talk with you, too, Jeff.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_07]: We'll catch you later.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you, by now.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_07]: Tammy from Pameel, yeah.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_07]: There you go.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_07]: Um... Let's see, too, too.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_07]: Somebody said, oh, she brings in more big cats.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_07]: We want lions and tigers.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_07]: Well, you need a, yeah, you would need more interesting animals, but with all the rules and protocols for them, it's difficult.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_07]: You'd like to get, like there was more fuss over that zebra that got loose at the arena last week, and anything has gotten up in the park in ages.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_07]: So get some zebras, they look to me to be pretty low maintenance, and if you're going to have them in a traveling circus, don't tell me you can't have them here in that zoo.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_07]: So that's a thought.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_07]: As far as lions and tigers, that's kind of difficult.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_07]: Panda bear is too expensive.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_07]: But like I said, those couple of zebras that wandered around the parking not over behind the arena last week, they got a lot of press and I think people would like looking at that and they're not any bigger than a donkey, really.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_07]: We no big deal to have some.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_07]: But you know, you got these pure so it has to be stuff indigenous to the
- 29:35[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, we don't have that much indigenous to this state.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_07]: It's interesting.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_07]: So I don't know.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_07]: So what's going on on Richard's drive?
- 29:50[SPEAKER_07]: Hmm.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_07]: They were supposed to fix some kind of water problem over there.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_07]: Then some people say that residents didn't want it fixed, but others say they did.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_07]: Count some of my husband lives over there.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know what's going on.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_07]: That in Pauline Street, just get him fixed.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_07]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_17]: How you doing?
- 30:11[SPEAKER_07]: Good.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_17]: As of this call, I'm going to talk about the 21st congressional race.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_17]: Yes, I don't know if you remember earlier on, but just before it all got started, there and we knew he was going to say, Captain Tinole is going to say it's off what's going to be.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_17]: You know, the race, I figured I was thinking that the race would end up, you know, in the northeast part of the district, up in Washington, down here, up that way, and that's kind of where it's kind of shape out,
- 31:01[SPEAKER_07]: Well, Washington County is down east of Glen's Falls, that area.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_07]: There's up in Clinton County.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_07]: Well, where did you go see these signs?
- 31:11[SPEAKER_07]: Pladsburg?
- 31:13[SPEAKER_17]: Things I'm seeing as I'm following that night.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_17]: That's following it for a while.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_17]: And now what I'm seeing and now I'm seeing it online.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_17]: I mean, attention to a lot of the comments and a lot of the people coming out there and watching it.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_17]: I'm noticing a lot of the farmers from Washington County are following a very cold sweet.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, what do they say?
- 31:37[SPEAKER_07]: Who are they supporting?
- 31:39[SPEAKER_17]: I see I see more, I'm hoping that they'll see through, they'll see through the agenda being.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_17]: But I see more of a tax going out after Anthony and Washington County.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_17]: I see a more of a go and sing again, like I said it was going to be.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_17]: I see.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_07]: gender being getting more support up that way well he's getting out and about the district and uh... you know constant tino is he's a smart guy but he's got a little rougher image he's he's in the same spot they're covering different things doing different things you know getting different spot sitting different people well you know what i think i wonder how much this whole can of the thing
- 32:25[SPEAKER_07]: because somebody told me that the 21st district borders can it up and uh... you know there's a lot of question about this whole trade war and of course i would hope that they can be the republican party and mr. councillor dino would definitely start focusing more on tarny in his ties to ccp and i think they need to educate
- 32:50[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but let me tell you something more most people listen to this don't know what the CCP is.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_17]: So I know what is their infiltration in the northern border and and and then a bravo with carnie see carnie as a CCP shell and and he's tied to the monarchy.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_17]: All this money comes from but mainly in China He barely has ever lived in Canada sir
- 33:15[SPEAKER_07]: I heard that he just when it became p.m. he moved to Canada, he was living in the U.S.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_07]: I think, wasn't it?
- 33:22[SPEAKER_17]: The central banker, the officer's own banking company Canada, and he was the one that's no longer under the all of the money through Ukraine.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_17]: He's a globalist.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_07]: I'm sure he is, yeah.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_17]: The globalist, and it's a living in front of people start paying attention, and we're going to get a lot of them in the research from Mithian,
- 33:43[SPEAKER_17]: uh... it's a side and i am also listening to a woman named Susan for kenda hmm these are very smart woman and she's put in her 60s or schools of 70 and she speaks on the facts it's about anything that's really going on around the world and uh... and it's based it's basically you know the concern with china okay i gotcha i just think that and people should play more about more attention to this race i think
- 34:11[SPEAKER_17]: And I'm not making fun of him or anything like this, but I think we're going to be in stamp paint as for me.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_07]: Well, maybe some other people have thoughts on it.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_17]: There's a lot of us for me.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_17]: Anthony Thompson, Timo.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_17]: This is very true.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_17]: And I just think he's getting me.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_17]: He's sitting around.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_17]: He's getting hammered, boy.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_17]: He's broken it.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_07]: Well, the media doesn't like him because he's Trumpish.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_07]: So, okay.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_07]: Well, thanks for the comments.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_07]: All right, bye now.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_07]: Not a lot of talk on the NY20, but I have a...
- 34:46[SPEAKER_07]: I don't do it on science much anymore, but I do have one from Anthony Constantino, and then one from this Tammy Navalanic.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_07]: Now, I know my, prop, my place.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_07]: And I just put him on the edge of the property, but...
- 35:00[SPEAKER_07]: I know neither of those people represent Pearl Street, but the district is close, we just go out Pearl Street to the right, and why 21.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_07]: So a lot of people go through that.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_07]: But anyway, I've got room for three signs, but nobody else asked me.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I guess that Walsek's guy is pretty sure of his race, so he doesn't need to put a sign on Pearl Street.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_07]: And I can't think of anybody else really.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_07]: So, well, we'll see.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_07]: Anyway, 755, 1240, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call, to be on the show of shows today.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_07]: And yeah, I do think that whole candidate thing has some kind of effect on that race over there.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_07]: And maybe a little bit of an effect on NY24 or else so.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_07]: But so far, the candidates haven't had much to say on it,
- 35:55[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, what else is going on?
- 35:58[SPEAKER_07]: Wait, just see if this happened today.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_07]: I guess the president put out this thing once to threatening to report Kristen Welker and B.C.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_07]: News meet the press host of the FCCC because she said that Trump's endorsed candidates had lost some primaries.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_07]: What's some have, not all, but some have.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_07]: people think that something that said that they don't like, I'm going to report you to a government that agency doesn't exist to regulate content.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's just like these people on.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I'm going to, I'm going to take a clip from your show and send it to the Attorney General or something.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_07]: They don't care nor should they.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_07]: After noon you're on the air.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_16]: The gentleman he just had on, a few minutes ago, I heard the same radio program and I heard the same thing about Canada.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_16]: I also have relatives over in Canada that are having a tough time financially, and I think a lot of the problems with Canada coming across supporters, their own finances.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_16]: A lot of people are saying they're not coming across because of Trump.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_07]: that it's their own finances are not coming across right there are a lot of issues and you know the other thing is Americans can't go over there if they had a DWI 15 20 years ago at at what point do we say well whatever but um...
- 37:37[SPEAKER_16]: used to be you'd go back and forth all the time now it's like a big yank and the same way on our side you got to have enhanced ideas and this and that and faster oh man for much yep well i i uh called last week and i was up in the hogets per area and uh today i'm driving through the camp area so you're really enjoy the program uh so a glad to know what's uh
- 38:06[SPEAKER_07]: So you're in the can't area today?
- 38:09[SPEAKER_16]: Yes, I am.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_07]: Well, good.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_07]: You're traveling a lot.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_07]: Well, we appreciate having... Really?
- 38:18[SPEAKER_07]: What do you do for a living?
- 38:20[SPEAKER_16]: Well, uh, I own an entertainment magazine.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_16]: I'm the forced coast entertainment guy.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, okay.
- 38:27[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_07]: I've heard of that.
- 38:28[UNKNOWN]: Still print a paper.
- 38:29[UNKNOWN]: I still print a paper after 20 years on a website.
- 38:33[UNKNOWN]: And I have to deliver it and see customers from water town all the way to get spurred along.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_07]: Wow.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_07]: Wow.
- 38:42[UNKNOWN]: Gatsus 50 cents a gallon more once he hits the Lawrence County.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_07]: Really?
- 38:48[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 38:49[UNKNOWN]: And you could go to Malone and it's 50 cents cheaper.
- 38:53[UNKNOWN]: You go to water town and it's 50 cents cheaper.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_07]: It's around $4 here in Watertown, $402 or something like that.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_16]: Mm-hmm, or pay, you know, $4.59 here in K.A.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_16]: Or where else?
- 39:12[SPEAKER_07]: Wow, that's something.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_16]: I understand a lot of it is county taxes.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I wouldn't surprise me, but I don't think there's...
- 39:21[SPEAKER_07]: I know there's sales taxes the same as ours, so... Yeah, I'm not sure about that.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_16]: I'd like to hear some input about that.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_16]: What other people think about St. Lawrence County Gas Branch?
- 39:35[SPEAKER_16]: So, he's been an unusual thing between the counties and I travel a lot of roads, the miles on, and surely paid my share of taxes, I gas, but that's what it's there for, but I really wish they could sort of cross a lot, or mess.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_07]: Hmm.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_07]: Well, that's interesting.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_07]: Interesting.
- 40:00[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_07]: So, I...
- 40:05[SPEAKER_16]: I do a lot of driving and I just sit to talk radio a lot and other stations as well.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_07]: Well what else is going on in St. Lawrence County we should know about?
- 40:18[SPEAKER_16]: Well the colleges are coming back of course and SUNY can't sit back and St. Lawrence I believe this week and of course the downtown can't become a New York City traffic
- 40:34[SPEAKER_16]: That's always been a problem.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_07]: Well, it's good.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, no colleges bring a lot of money into the challenge.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_11]: Yes, they do.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_11]: Yes, they do.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_07]: You know, it's like I know people who live in Clayton and they say, well, all these people up here, I hate it.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_07]: Wait a minute, you wouldn't have the such a vibrant community if you didn't have those people.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_07]: So you got to have them.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_07]: How was your summer?
- 40:57[SPEAKER_07]: Good.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_16]: of our business wise and also a musician I play in a band and I was extremely busy this summer playing in the Alex Bay area of course.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_07]: Oh good, good.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_07]: It was busy down our way, too.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_07]: And don't forget the sales tax quarter ends today.
- 41:18[UNKNOWN]: Oh, that's true.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 41:19[UNKNOWN]: I'm a small business operator, so I tried to do it yearly.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_07]: That's okay.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_07]: If you don't do it at all, you know.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_07]: A lot of people don't.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_07]: um... is all the illicit only illicit stores we have they don't have to do sales tax tomorrow um... yeah well here if you're not licensed and you know you don't have any payroll costs or it's like all your smoke shops and all of that down here you know there's no payroll costs no sales tax no nothing so it's a lot easier to make a buck when you don't have all those fees
- 41:57[SPEAKER_16]: pretty self-employed.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_16]: I have to do pretty much all of it to get a decent paycheck.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_16]: Uh, man, ever since COVID it's got worse, so I'm just work harder and harder.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_16]: Uh, man.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_16]: But I got to make a limit.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I know.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_07]: I know.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_07]: You've got to work harder, so other people can just do nothing.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_16]: Well, we won't go there today, but it's true.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_07]: Well, thanks.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you, sir, and have a safe trip.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_07]: Yep, bye now.
- 42:27[UNKNOWN]: You got it.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_07]: Bye now.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_07]: Traveling the roads of St. Lawrence County, listening on 92.7WQTK, that's great.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_07]: Good to hear from them.

- 45:37[SPEAKER_07]: and riveting radio a.m. twelve forty the news and talk authority news and talk authority you know one of the things with somebody more homeless around i've noticed is uh... i mean i have a tremendous number but the you know increase in a number of people who just come into the business and want to use the restroom yeah
- 46:01[SPEAKER_07]: I, you know, it'd be nice if people would say to your mind, I got caught and, you know, and I use the restroom.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_07]: And I always want to make a mess for yourself.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_07]: Who cares?
- 46:09[SPEAKER_07]: But nobody ever asks.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_07]: They think it's an entitlement.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_07]: The other thing, it's kind of new to today's world.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_07]: You know, you think of homeless people.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_07]: Don't have anything?
- 46:19[SPEAKER_07]: Well, they all got cell phones.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_07]: And they need a place to plug them in because they're homeless.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_07]: So like, you know, my place we have an outlet out on the front, right outside the front door.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_07]: had to put in years ago so if you had to plug in like the air dancer or something like that or a Christmas lights or whatever, a lot of times you have a need for an outdoor outlet.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_07]: But the homeless, they just help themselves.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_07]: Again, it's not that much power.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_07]: I could lock the outlet.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not going to because it would just get randomized then.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_07]: So, but if you have an outlet, maybe in New York,
- 47:00[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know you'd have to check maybe that if you didn't let them have free electricity they could report you to the human rights commission or test James or something like that.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_07]: But yeah, that's the newest thing that the homeless who aren't supposed to have anything have cell phones and so when they need a charge they just find a place with a plug-out side.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's like if you wanted to wash your car and you saw I had a faucet outside so you came and hooked your hose up.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_07]: Or use my hose.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_07]: Why, right bring your own user.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_07]: You don't just use mine.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, there's a hose there.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_07]: Just pick it up and use it, right?
- 47:36[SPEAKER_07]: If it's free, it's for me.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_07]: Um, but I don't know.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_07]: I was talking to somebody who was up here.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_07]: There's like a, you know, there's a traveling medical people.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_07]: Nurses and whatever else.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_07]: Um, anyway, she was just telling me that I've been around the country, but what a horrible place is, it is, I said, oh, he's, no, we're making good impressions, aren't we?
- 48:02[SPEAKER_07]: Well, you know, it's not just a perception when you got people getting knife all the time and everything, some of it's reality.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_07]: And when you live here, you see it.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_07]: If you don't, you don't see it.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_07]: I would have sight out of mind.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_07]: But, um,
- 48:18[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, that thing the other day where the guy got stabbed over in Duffy Street, holy cow.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_07]: Brutal.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_07]: Brutal.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_07]: And there's been, obviously, oh, there was, well, there was the fatal stabbing.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_07]: Up at 661, you know.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_07]: They should put an outlet on the front of that building, so they could charge your phones there.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_07]: Mm-hmm.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_07]: 755, 1240, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call, a hoot and a hoot and a holler and
- 48:48[SPEAKER_07]: haven't heard from the angry man and you don't hear from him in a while you get kind of upset like what happened to him.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_07]: So what went on over on Richard's drive I thought they had a proposal to fix it and they turned it down was that what I don't know.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_07]: Oh city council.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_07]: The meeting is on a week from tomorrow because of the Labor Day holiday, so it'd be on the eighth.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's so inclined to go or watch it on TV, who ever thought you could watch a council meeting on TV?
- 49:30[SPEAKER_07]: What do I think of next?
- 49:32[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I don't know.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_07]: Anyway, 755, 1240 are from number.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_07]: If you'd like to give us a call, talk about things, and I'm there and I was said to
- 49:49[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
- 50:17[SPEAKER_07]: If I ran a facility like that, and I had something going on, I'd just come and say, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, no.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_07]: You know, you reach some people, not everybody's certainly, but some people.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_07]: And so I don't want to be unfair.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_07]: Well, there's a call coming in.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_07]: Good afternoon here on the air.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_10]: I want to counter what TME is from familiar set about the zoo.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_10]: Okay.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_10]: a while and I think if you're going to criticize something you actually need to go see what you're criticizing.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_10]: It's not true.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_10]: She said they have a very active Facebook page.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_10]: They are active out in the community.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_10]: They're there all the time.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_10]: They just had a big event over the weekend.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_10]: They had animal sand literature and display it Pirates weekend.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know for sure if they were at the fair but they've been at all kinds of events all around
- 51:13[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_07]: Well, you know what would be a good idea.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_10]: It's a much she actually goes to find out what's there.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_07]: You know, whoever's running it just has to take, like you just did.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_10]: Pardon me?
- 51:25[SPEAKER_07]: What's your justor?
- 51:26[SPEAKER_07]: You just called into the show, right?
- 51:27[SPEAKER_07]: Because you're wanting to get your a message out?
- 51:30[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_10]: Because I'm countering what she's doing.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_07]: It's like that lady in three, you know, the lady in three mile bay.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_10]: No.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_10]: I'm not the lady from three miles.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_07]: No, I know you're not, but you know who she is, right?
- 51:41[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_07]: She calls every month.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_07]: to promote her, chicken dinner, whatever it is, and she gets good attendance, and I think part of it's because people hear it, but that's how you do public relations, I've never had anybody caught, I've never, I don't know what happened, I don't know if you lost a message and what, but they've just hired a new marketing director, but, and grant writer, oh my God.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_07]: Are you kidding me?

- 52:59[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, well, there you go.

- 53:09[SPEAKER_10]: Some do.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_10]: But a lot do just because they see it in the paper or they do.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_10]: Right.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_07]: You know, it's not like we reach everybody, but we reach some people.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_07]: And so.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_07]: Very good attendance.
- 53:20[UNKNOWN]: Some or two.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_07]: You and the three mile bay lady are the sharpies when it comes to media relations.
